Marriott is the worst when it comes to the obnoxious thermostats that are programmed to shut off in a few hours and lie about the temperature. Honestly you never know coming from a fabulous city like Tampa, it’s hard to compare good spots but the staff and service here were beyond amazing, kind, gracious, and available 24/7. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel in my 40 years where I didn’t have a complaint but it happened here! We stayed 7 days while waiting on corporate housing to be ready! We got dry cleaning every day, we had to extend our stay multiple times therefore needing new keys and staff never rolled their eyes or acted annoyed when we need them rekeyed. The front desk ladies we saw daily always smiling and kind. The bus and valet guys smiling, offering words of kindness! Something about southern hospitality and this place was top notch! The outside appearance of the hotel and even the lobby doesn’t correlate to the rooms. The room we had was old, musty, and in need of an overhaul. The 5 star price is just not justifiable.
