To compound this noise the room we were in was not great as there appeared to be a main drainage pipe for the building located within one of the walls and there was loud and repeated noises coming from it as water and waste moved through them. The location of the room again is not helpful as you are directly at the top of the stairs and as such there was a lot of footfall coming and going throughout the evening causing noise and banging doors. The room in itself was adequate, bed and duvet comfortable but pillows too soft and unsupportive. Staff could have been more supportive as whilst we didn't raise issues throughout the night I did raise them at check out which didn't particularly receive any kind of acknowledgement or apology and instead was solely met with the question... 'otherwise, your stay with us was good?' which I thought was a poor and disinterested response.
