Other two members of our party loved their evening, I did feel that the set menu only format took something away from the tapas experience. The location of the room again is not helpful as you are directly at the top of the stairs and as such there was a lot of footfall coming and going throughout the evening causing noise and banging doors. The room in itself was adequate, bed and duvet comfortable but pillows too soft and unsupportive. The hotel is in a fantastic location. We were 12 golfers and were able to access several courses in the region. The hotel is downtown with several pubs/shops nearby in walking distance. I had to ask to have my seat swapped as the one I had was very uncomfortable with broken springs. This was done quickly and the waiter told me they are going to be replacing the seats. There were 5 of us. The waitress was very friendly but we were met with a list of things which were unavailable - prawns, steak and haggis. Have been going here for years although don’t manage to get in regularly because it’s a bit out of the way. Stopped today for lunch and had a delicious meal. I started with squid while my partner had the bang bang cauliflower.
