The service was okay. A few things that we requested (bread for example) required multiple reminders and by the time it arrived, it was too late. The 4 course prix-fixe menu was so affordable that it'd be hard to beat that price for what you get. The desserts were solid. Our favorites were oysters, and cocktail shrimps. Very fresh like just coming out from ocean. We ordered the platter first, but because the oysters were so good, we ordered 2 dozens more! They served Kusshi oysters that day. The steamed mussels were a little disappointing compare to oysters and cocktail shrimp. Mussels seems like they were not cooked in the sauce enough. It feels like the seafood and sauce were separate, not blended well. Truffle fries were so so. Lobster&shrimp roll was good, but more like filler. Our server was lovely, I wish I could remember her name. She was very attentive, and kept an eye on our table. Not too much, not too little. Just perfect. It was in the afternoon on Aug 26th. A big thanks to her! She also caught my word that I mentioned about my partners bday, and she brought a little treat to wish him a bday. We were so glad Joe Fortes opened in Whistler. This is a definitely the one I would always choose to go when I visit the village again!

The service was good as expected. The food was pretty good too! We ordered the crab cake (which is just one normal sized crab cake), fried oysters, seafood linguini. Truffle fries & Brussels sprouts. The Brussel sprouts came with large chunks of bacon that were incredibly overcooked; like super hard I thought I was gonna break a tooth biting it LOL tasted good tho! We ordered amaretto sours (which is typically 1/2 amaretto and 1/2 sour mix) however upon receiving it I immediately tasted whiskey. Our waitress assured us it doesn’t have whiskey because we ordered an amaretto sour but said she’d double check with the bartender “just in case,” sure enough, it was topped with bourbon. She said the “new” amaretto sours have whiskey in them now which is completely inaccurate, I ordered that nearly everytime I go out to dinner and I have never once had whiskey. No big deal but it was just odd. They fixed it for us though of course! The seafood linguini was delicious as were the Brussels and fries. We ordered way too much food. I would definitely come back. Very cute ambiance too!
