We booked a sunset cruise departing at 3:30pm and received a confirmation email to meet at slip A2 at 3:15 pm. Earlier that day, we received a second email to meet at the tour desk at 3pm. Confused by this change, we went to the Champagne tour desk at 3pm and it was closed. We sent two emails with no reply. We asked some surrounding tour desks if they knew why and they didn’t. We walked back over to slip A2 and when 3:15 came around and there was still no one in sight, we asked the waiter standing outside if we could borrow his phone to call the tour group since we don’t have cell phone service, only wifi. They confirmed that we should meet by the tour desk. We walked back over to the tour desk and still no one there. I asked a group getting on to a tour if they knew what was going on with Champagne Cruises and they told us that there is a sister company under a different name. We talked to the manager and our tour had already left (they never sent us an email with specific instructions on where to meet, that it was a different tour group name, or that our tour time had changed). They tried to send us on a dolphin cruise instead but that was not going to the Benagil caves. We declined, AND THEY HAD THE NERVE TO SAY THEY WOUOD NOT GIVE US A REFUND. We didn’t get to take the trip that we traveled here to do. I’m going to block the charge on my credit card. The female manager was so rude and entitled, acting like this was our fault that we didn’t have cell phone service when they never communicated the company name change via email and their tour desk was CLOSED.
