We didn’t hate anything we had there, but we wouldn’t return. I would say the food quality is on par with a standard chain restaurant in the states. One of the most interesting things about it was the temperature of the foods we were served - all just above room temperature. Nothing was hot. We ordered several menu items to taste things and have some leftovers. We didn’t take the leftovers. The mole was adequate, the chili en Nogado was fine, the peanut soup was good. Nothing was amazing. So if you’re in town for a month and want to give it a shot just so you can say you did, go for it. But if you’re there for a week, just about anywhere would be better.

We’ve been meaning to try out La Tienda Grande for a couple years now and finally got the chance last night for my birthday. We opted for the 8 course tasting menu, which is curated for your palate.
