Our meal started with Shark Bay half shell scallops with candied blood orange and jamon. This turned out to be a perfect blend of flavours. The other entree was rare sliced house smoked duck breast with citrus, radicchio, cherry caramel and wattle hazelnut. It tasted delightful. We ordered the Ocean’s 11 Pack and it was hands down one of the best seafood platters we've ever had. It came loaded with: 6 Aussie prawns – fresh, sweet, and perfectly chilled. 6 local oysters – incredibly fresh and briny. 1 grilled salmon steak – crispy skin, juicy and tender inside. 2 BBQ prawn skewers – smoky and full of flavour. BBQ octopus – tender with a nice char, not chewy at all. 2 scallops mornay – rich, creamy, and perfectly cooked. There was about a 40-minute wait, but it was during a busy period over the school holidays, so it was completely understandable — and honestly, worth every minute. The quality and freshness of the seafood really stood out, and the portion size was great for sharing. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere had that classic Aussie coastal charm where you can enjoy and eat sitting oceanside. Bub’s definitely lived up to the hype!!!
