Pasticceria Dolce Pisa is a charming Italian bakery offering an authentic breakfast experience. The traditional front and outdoor seating provide a lovely setting to enjoy a variety of pastries, sweet treats, cannolis, croissants, and cornettos. Located near the Pisa leaning tower site, it's a perfect spot to escape the crowds and indulge in some delicious vegan and gluten-free options alongside a cup of coffee.
In September 2024, Robert and I visited the beautiful town of Pisa in Tuscany to celebrate our anniversary. We came across this lovely little café near the Leaning Tower and stopped by every morning for breakfast. The pastries were fresh and delicious, and the weather couldn’t have been better. Sitting outside, enjoying our food while people-watching, was such a treat. Pisa, you were amazing – thank you for the beautiful memories!
Paola P — Google review
A cozy café with great quality sweets and coffee at a very reasonable price. The staff are always nice and friendly, which makes you want to come back. It’s in a good location, easy to reach, but keep in mind the space is small—there are just a few seats inside and some outside. Still, it’s perfect for a quick break or a relaxing coffee if you find a spot. Highly recommended!
PegiTa ( — Google review
Close enough to leaning tower. Reviews are not very good but I am happy. Food was good, tasty. I got tiramisu which in this case looks different to the previous photos uploaded. Very good, smooth, tasty, melted. Delicious. I was a bit disappointed with the fact that I wanted a natural juice they had in their menu and, in November, they told me they didn’t have because it is cold now. Fine in general. A bit pricey. Very quick attendance. Clean place.
Oscar H — Google review
While having ”gluten free option ” in the name of the cafe, the options are few. You would think they’d have a lot but it’s just one egg sandwich and some croissants (at the time I was there). So don’t be like me and expect a lot
Tindra27a — Google review
Staff was friendly. My sandwich was fresh. nine euros in total.
Sarcopolo — Google review
There are a bunch of reviews already that speak to empty cases for gluten free options. I'll add my own picture here taken at 7:15am. So, here's the thing. I understand getting to a bakery later in the day and not seeing much - especially for gluten free options. They're expensive, more labor intensive, and the demand is just a fraction of normal demand. Knowing this, we scouted the place a few days ago and found a nearly empty case. No problem, it was a scouting visit. We asked the staff there if more options were available the next day. He told us to get there right at the opening to ensure we'd have our pick. OK, that makes sense. Then we went at 7:15 - actually waiting for the gate to be lifted while the workers were setting up tables / filling cases. There was only what you see in my photo: full cases of gluten containing foods, and a few sad leftovers from prior days (plural) that clearly aren't moving. That brings me to the next thing. If you look at the label, it contains: E471 Mono-/diglycerides Emulsifier Can be animal or plant origin E330 Citric acid Acidulant, antioxidant Usually safe, but industrial E202 Potassium sorbate Preservative Very low toxicity E160b Annatto Natural coloring Rare allergic reactions So... these are not made fresh. Don't expect them to be. You will, however, pay a premium price for it. I asked the staff why the case was empty and the story changed. Now, apparently, you're supposed to come in at 10am, not 7:30am. OK. Basically, if you come here you are taking your chances on if there will be anything at all. You have no idea if anything was made fresh. You will, however, pay a lot for it. I just can't endorse this place when compared to other bakeries we have encountered in Italy.
André C — Google review
A good place a few steps away from the Pisa tower. Coffee was good and there were lots of pastry's to try. The cake's were mouth watering unfortunately couldn't taste. The ambience was good, very well maintained clean and tidy. the staff were friendly, quick service. Overall a good place to taste different types of bakery items and coffee.

Pizza restaurant
Po'stò Cafè Pisa is a charming Italian bakery and breakfast spot located just a short walk from the Tower of Pisa. The cafe exudes a cozy country kitchen vibe with its wooden counters, fresh-baked bread, and hanging herbs. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making visitors feel right at home. Guests can enjoy delicious treats like fresh orange juice and fancy tiramisu while taking in the lovely interior.
What a lovely surprise! Posto Café is just around the corner from the main tourist spots in Pisa, but it’s definitely not a tourist trap. The prices were super affordable, and the quality of the food really stood out. We had a delicious focaccia bread, a fresh omelet, a cream-filled croissant, fresh orange juice, and a perfectly made cappuccino — everything tasted amazing and felt homemade. It’s the perfect little stop for a quick, tasty, and budget-friendly bite while exploring the city. Highly recommend!
Arpita G — Google review
The filling of the chocolate and pistachio croissant was to die for. Creamy, rich and delicious! A great pick up option near the leaning tower of Pisa. Toilet available, but it is just one cubicle and you need to form a line away from the toilet, which can cause a bit of a confusion for some.
Jed L — Google review
We stopped at Po’stò Cafè in Pisa for breakfast, and it turned out to be one of those simple but really pleasant experiences that make traveling better. The place has a friendly and relaxed vibe, perfect for starting the day before exploring the city. The food was delicious and fresh—great coffee, pastries, and sandwiches, all at a very fair price. It really felt like excellent value for the money, especially considering how close it is to the main attractions. Service was quick and organized, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Even though English wasn’t their first language, they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and understood the menu. You can tell they care about their customers, locals and tourists alike. Their patience and kindness made a big difference for us. If you’re in Pisa and want a good breakfast spot that feels local, this is definitely the place. Nothing pretentious—just good food, great service, and nice people. We left smiling and would go back again without a doubt.
Rafael A — Google review
Very touristy place and probably the only decent option near Pisa. The staff were rude, and who thought it was a good idea to put a hot pizza in a paper bag? Of course, it stuck to the top, so i basically ate pizza without its topping. Food was mediocre overall.
Sena B — Google review
One of the wondeful pizza and dessert stop when you go to Pisa, just get down at the bus stop and you would not miss out the time you spend after having the best of the Tiramisu!! Must eat for the snack time… before heading out for Pisa, Italy!
Bhawana A — Google review
Super crowded, but ladies do their job very well. Pizza 🍕- 10 points 🫶🏻 Too bad that they holds espresso shots and this makes coffee not actually fresh. A huge plus - English friendly
Migle M — Google review
Has packages gluten free and vegan items. The macron and croissants was spectacular. The focaccia sandwich was on the dryer side but still great. Coffee was great too! Staff were friendly and helpful and patient with our language barrier.

Leonardo Café & Ristoro is a modern eatery inspired by Australian cafes, conveniently located in the heart of Pisa. It offers a delightful brunch featuring an array of dishes such as sweet pancakes with syrup and berries, savory pancakes with poached eggs, avocado toast, salmon toast with avocado, yogurt bowls with fresh fruit and granola, and more.
Found this really nice and friendly restaurant on google and it was truly amazing! We ordered beef stew, ravioli and salmon as well as “friends pancakes”. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. Cheery on top - wonderful service 🥰 PS. Loved my iced pistachio latte as well ❤️
Grace C — Google review
Had a wonderful brunch here! The poached eggs on toast were perfectly cooked and topped with a generous sprinkle of pistachio—such a unique and flavorful touch. The fresh salad with radishes was crisp and refreshing, and the yogurt with berries and granola was the perfect balance of creamy and crunchy. Everything tasted super fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to!

Leonardo Café in Pisa is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is upbeat with fun music, and the air conditioning was perfect on a hot summer day. The waitress was so friendly and full of life—she even told me if I didn’t like my food, she’d take it back, which made me feel completely at home. And the pasta? Hands down the juiciest I’ve ever had. It totally lived up to the reputation that Italy has the best pasta in the world. Highly recommended for a delicious and feel-good experience in Pisa!
Amelia L — Google review
Lovely breakfast options..some quite unique combinations..on the pricey end. But right next to the train station so good location. The place is beautifully set up! Lovely background music.Service is friendly. The poached egg unfortunately wasn't poached and yolk was completely cooked and there was no seasoning. That was a bit disappointing.
Deepti S — Google review
Very cute cafe we stumbled on in Pisa after coming from the train station. The staff was super friendly and the food was very good. Since this was our first stop in Italy, I'm glad it was a positive experience.

Cavalieri is a coffee shop in Pisa that specializes in high-quality, specially sourced coffee beans. The cafe offers a wide range of options for milk substitutes and provides excellent service. It's a great place to start your day whether you're sightseeing or studying in Pisa.
Absolutely delightful experience! The food was simply exceptional — a perfect harmony of unique and flavorful ingredients that made every bite a joy. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to, adding a personal touch that made us feel right at home. Highly recommended!
Sergiu G — Google review
Visited with a group of four, drawn in by the “specialty coffee” sign with good hopes. What we got was just an “average” Italian cappuccino. If they didn’t advertise themselves as specialty coffee, it would’ve been fine — but the quality didn’t match the claim of serving specialty coffee. The outdoor seating is beautiful, set in a lovely Italian square — definitely the highlight. Service was so so. The staff didn’t seem particularly enthusiastic or friendly. It was hard to get interaction. We even came back to give it another try (maybe the barista had a day off the first time?). We did see someone get a proper latte-art coffee, but despite a few rounds, we weren’t that lucky . Great setting, average coffee and service. If you’re after true specialty, you might want to look elsewhere.
Sanne — Google review
Incredibly pleasant experience! The entire team of the establishment is very hospitable and warmly welcomed our large company of 9 people, seated them in very comfortable seats and helped with every issue. The service is very high! I would like to separately highlight Ms. Fadva, who provided us with excellent service. The breakfasts are great, the coffee is delicious. Thank you for such a pleasant experience ❤️‍🔥🫶
Elmira H — Google review
We stopped here for breakfast and managed to get a table in a garden without waiting. The food was good, but quite simple as for the prices they have. During weekends they seem to be quite busy, so take into account longer waiting time if you order anything else than just a crossaint.
Gabi Z — Google review
We didn’t expect much from a spot so close to such a touristy area, but this place was excellent. The food was delicious, the coffee outstanding, and the service warm and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and best of all, it’s just a short walk from the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Highly recommend!
Patricia G — Google review
I went for brunch. The plate that I ordered was good but not worthy of its price (I think it was 16€ for two fried eggs and a coffee). Also, the staff wasn't that friendly. It's a pretty place though.
Dam L — Google review
While in Pisa we were looking for a coffee and small breakfast and stumbled upon this cafe. Staff was friendly and the food delicious. The coffee didn’t seem any more special than anywhere else in Italy. Generally it’s hard to find a bad coffee anywhere in Italy, so the “specialty coffee” slogan seemed a bit misplaced. From what we were told they just use Brazilian arabica coffee, which is pretty normal and not what I’d expect from a cafe advertising specialty coffee.
Jacob H — Google review
What a cute and cozy cafe! This place is a good spot to stop for dinner, or just have some drinks! We also enjoyed the fact this place had outlets, and would allow you to work and/or study at their business. If you buy anything, buy an iced chai latte or a peach tea! Both were absolutely delicious. The peach tea was so light and refreshing and tasted so natural. We also ordered the pistachio pancakes which were yummy. The staff was very friendly and even let us move to another table at one point. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They offer food, drinks like coffee, tea, lemonade, and various parties. They do accept card here as well.

Fantastic local cafe, perfect for breakfasts or just coffee! If you are in need of coffee, this cafe is perfect when you have reached Pisa Centrale. It opens as early as 6am and it's packed. The staff has good memories of each order, attentive and friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. But seating is limited and not suitable for a big group.
Bee L — Google review
Very convenient place near the train station, if you come to the city in the morning I recommend to go there and have a cup of coffee and a sandwich for breakfast. There are few places to sit, that‘s my main issue. If you go there and get a table consider yourself lucky because a lot of locals seem to be going there too. The sandwiches are good, I recommend ‘club sandwich‘ even though it‘s not traditional Italian food but it has more filling and more vegetables. The coffee and sweet treats (I tried a donut with chocolate filling and a croissant with pistachio cream) are very tasty. The prices are very reasonable and everything I tried there left me satisfied, I came here three times during my short visit in Pisa.

The lattes that I’ve been getting in Rome and Florence have been disappointing (pricey but worse than machine pumped, not kidding) until I had the cappuccino and latte macchiato at Tiffany Cafe. It’s hot, strong, and good foam texture, and most importantly, great value! Definitely recommend.

This place is just wow, the staff are so friendly, the service great, and the food incredible. I have the pistachio and raspberry pancakes and I can't tell you how out of this world they were, presentation and taste, cappuccino what also gorgeous coffee....whe. we paid we were given a gorgeous little charm and thanked for our custom which is such a lovely touch. Atmosphere of this restaurant is very comfortable for having breakfast with Family. I highly recommend someone who has time to go and have a meal in this restaurant. Very kind staff, delicious food were awesome for us.
Harry S — Google review
We were recommended this place from a local hotel after asking for somewhere to have a drink and light bite to eat. With a warm welcome we decided to commit to a couple of cocktails and finger food (apertivo platter). The cocktails were expertly mixed and the food was fresh and delicious (arancini a personal favourite). We couldn't resist another round of drinks but this time with something sweet. Although there was an excellent selection of sweet treats and cakes displayed on the entrance, we opted for some connoli by the coffee counter. Did not disappoint. The service throughout was warm and friendly, and even for us non-Italians, we were made to feel local. For a cocktail, glass of wine, bite to eat or even a simple coffee, do not miss out on this gem.

We just spent five days in Pisa, and one of the highlights was the friendly and pleasant staff at La Torre Cafe in view of the Tower. We stopped nearly every morning for our cappuccinos and lattes, and fresh croissants and Italian donuts. Samuel was outstanding!! Five stars ⭐️

Best view of Pisa Tower! We ordered 2 glasses of wine, 7 euro per glass. Not too bad for the view! Staffs were so kind too, he gave us some snacks for free. Comfortable to sit here for a while and enjoying stunning view. They also have free toilet for customer.

We got ice cream here - a bit on the pricey side, but that’s expected given the location. The gelato was delicious, though not particularly exceptional. Service was quick and there was a nice variety of flavors to choose from. The location right in front of the Leaning Tower is convenient!
Tsvetelina D — Google review
Misleading menu, terrible quality food, rude staff. I ordered Focaccia with Smoked Ham and Brie, instead I got a pita bread with some unidentified filling (see the picture). When I asked the waiter about it, I got told "that is what we call focaccia, it's is the same thing, how will you be paying cash or card". There are lots of places to eat near the tower, avoid this place!
Charlie P — Google review
Horrible. Very rude service. It completely ruined our day. We wanted to go to the toilet and we asked a waitress she yell at us that it was only for customers and we politely told her that we were. However she kept denying us the access and shouting at us. After showing her the receipt, she did not even apologize for the disgusting treatment. We asked other waiters in order to fill a formal complaint and they handed us a napkin. (This describes itself the politeness of the place). And what’s even worse, after the whole argument the bathroom was really dirty. In general I would suggest not to go to this cafe. It is expensive, it is not clean at all and the treatment was awful.

A respite from the crowds! After getting your fill of the sites (and people), please stop at La Torre Cafe for the best slice of Tiramisu we have had across our travels in Italy!! Paired with the perfect cup of macchiato or latte (depending on your fav) both were spot on. The server was attentive and had an infectious smile for everyone!! This was a great find and much needed pick me up to continue our travels!!

Avoid this place. The location is great. However, the staffs are nasty and arrogant. They look down upon their customers and show no respect to them, especially kids. Their espresso is mediocre. The toilet is not well maintained. They have to learn the fact that without the tourists, such a place is easily replaced by another one.

Direct view of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I had a blue aperol spritz and enjoyed the sun and the view. Service is great, very friendly and helpful, clearing tables fast, smiling, just good service. Bad point: expensive. My aperol spritz was 11€

Located in Pisa, Camarillo Caffè is a popular spot for friends to gather after their lunch break. Known for its refreshing Shakerato drink, this cafe offers outdoor seating where patrons can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere while watching football matches on television during the night. The selection of wine, both by the glass and bottle, is of excellent quality and complements the well-made cocktails perfectly.
Helpful and friendly staff. We had cocktails and pasta. Lasagna and Pasta al ragu. Very tasty and generous portions. Spent 4 days in Pisa - discovered Camarillo too late, but going back again on our last night.

Aperol-Spritz is amazing, and complimentary side-dish is… the size of a dinner. We just got here, so i dont know if this is every day or a happy hour, but we’re coming back tomorrow to “dine” here. 😅

Wonderful experience, and their behaviour is so friendly and helpful 🙂. I like this bar 🍸

Right after lunch break, me and my friends always go here to go grab Shakerato as it is very refreshing especially during the afternoon. The outdoor seats are very nice when hanging out with friends and also during the night they have television where you can watch a football match with the locals. Really recommendable. Curious about shakerato? Make sure to try them! 😉

This is my absolute favorite bar in Pisa. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! The music they play is to my liking also. In the evening it's always a blast on the weekends, super packed. The bartenders are very professional and you can feel that they love what they do. Servers are great and always efficient, happy and polite. As a tourist you get to meet all kinds of people here. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to party/work/eat.

Caffè Frassi is a remarkable establishment known for its exceptional self-baked coffee and diverse coffee blends. While the pastries are not homemade, they still satisfy one's cravings. The pizza may only be average, but it is edible, while the other savory options surpass it in taste. Additionally, Caffè Frassi offers an extensive selection of wines and various types of chocolates. However, caution must be taken to prevent weight gain when frequenting this place due to their tempting offerings.
Amazing pizza and very humble owner. He gave us a try of his homemade Farinata di ceci which we Indonesians have never tried or even knew existed before.

excellent coffee as this place bakes different variety of coffee itself. you can also taste the different blends. the pastries are good although not home made. the pizza is mediocre but eatable while the other salty options are better. this place is furnished also with a large variety of wines and different kind of chocolates.......keep an eye on your weight if you enter this place. prices are cheap

Very simple pizzeria (they're actually coffee roasters). But nevertheless, the food is superb. We had two pizzas and tried their coffee, of course. And the staff was very friendly. They offered us some pieces of cecina as a starter. We chatted about coffee and high quality beans. They really liked having guests that care about quality.

Caffetteria Corso Italia 67 is a charming café located on Corso Italia. It offers a delightful ambiance and an extensive menu of delicious food and beverages. This cozy establishment, situated in a prime location, provides customers with a warm and inviting atmosphere to relax and enjoy their meals. The café's menu includes an array of delectable options, such as sandwiches, salads, pastries, and refreshing drinks.
I wanted to express my gratitude for the wonderful experience I had at your café recently. The croissant I enjoyed was exceptionally tasty, and the cappuccino was not only delicious but also reasonably priced. Furthermore, I appreciated the convenience of your location on the main shopping street of Corso Italia, which made it easily accessible during my visit to Pisa. Thank you for providing such delightful treats and a pleasant atmosphere. I look forward to returning to Caffetteria Corso Italia in the future.

Worst experience in my entire life. The food was really bad. Not fresh at all and very expensive. When we wanted to use the toilet, the old lady at the bar started yelling at us in Italian. She even tried to open the toiletdoor, while my girlfriend was inside. Then we had to pay for the toilet although we were customers. 2 euros!!! She pulled out arms and kept yelling at us. A total scam! Avoid going to this place by all cost. Wish I could give less than 1 star

I was served a “small” tagliere with a draft beer for €8, but the portion was too large so I could only eat half. No idea about the rest of the food, but I feel like this was a good deal. Was not charged a coperto.

Early morning breakfast before the rest of the crew flew in for 3 days or touring. The waffle well came out of a packet and for 3.50€ would expect a freshly made one not microwave! So daughter decides to order two with my own morning bake with a cappuccino + soft drink just shy of €15. Oh, I had to eat the other one as one was enough for her...!

Bar La Tazza d'Oro is an affordable and charming cafe located in a small piazza near the main tourist street. The cappuccino and croissants are delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy with a local vibe. The outdoor seating provides a nice setting to enjoy the great coffee. This cafe also offers cheap spritz, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists alike. However, there have been some concerns about the cleanliness of the toilets.
Quaint cafe serving an assortment of good looking food, drinks seem to go down well, and who can say no to a glass of lager crisps and nuts for under €6.....

How this place ended up with an average of 4.5 stars is beyond me. The waiter ignored us forever and finally after requesting the menu, he just rocked up with two beers?! The bar also looks trashy and so do the average guests.

Nestled in the heart of Tirrenia, Al Dolcemente is a charming pastry bar that offers a delightful escape into nature. Surrounded by lush greenery, this spacious venue features outdoor seating where you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast under the trees. Known for its exceptional brioches, which are soft and bursting with various fillings, Al Dolcemente embodies simplicity and authenticity.
La dolcemente is a nice bar a few steps away from the busy center of tirrenia eher you can have breakfast without music yelling from loudspeakers. It is located in the old train station of Tirrenia which has seen better times but it's still a nice place to sit under there trees or on from of the bar. The people in the bar - self service- are friendly, and the inhouse made pastry is perfect.

(Translated by Google) A place that could be charming, but today appears neglected. The pastry shop, once excellent, has fallen to mediocre levels: the pistachio croissant had an artificially colored cream. The service is practically nonexistent. The outdoor space, ideal for breakfast or an aperitif, would be very pleasant, but it's run down: tables are dirty, broken, or wobbly. A real shame, considering the place's potential.
