Seeing it in person — slightly tilted yet perfectly balanced — was surreal. The weather was warm and sunny, perfect for walking around the Piazza dei Miracoli and taking photos without feeling rushed. Climbing the tower was an unforgettable experience. The marble steps are worn and slanted from centuries of use, and as you ascend, you can actually feel the lean — it’s both thrilling and slightly dizzying! Iconic- such an amazing view. I loved this place but so crowded. I would recommend visiting the museum next to the tower of Pisa to get an amazing view with minimal people spoiling your photos. Also there is a restaurant in this museum and you get a stunning view. Recommend climbing the tower of Pisa that was amazing make sure you are willing to climb as can be tiring. Trainers recommended for the climb.

The tower, together with the rest of the objectives, are definitely worth seeing. Climbing up opens up a great view of the city. Don't miss out on the Baptistery (where you can also climb to the top, with the opportunity to take a lovely photo of the cathedral). Pisa is also a very nice town, it feels a lot more like Italy than Rome :)

Had a lovely time here. The tower itself has a beautiful view when you're at the top. The steps are slippery tho so be careful aspecially when walking back down. The cathedral is gorgeous also on the inside. We bought tickets that included entree to all buildings and museums and also walked the walls of pisa all the way (which was quite long). Definitely recommend visiting and also going inside.

Really worth the hype! 🖼️ The tickets are not expensive at all and you get to see a lot of cool paintings and some artwork. I feel in love with the leisure room, it looked quite charming and I also liked the section they devoted to history of the first and second world wars. I learned a lot thanks to this visit.

Really enjoyed my visit at Palazzo Blu. This place is a must see for art lovers. Definitely a hidden gem in the city, along with the Keith Haring Tuttomondo- another must see in Pisa! Very interesting artifacts and stunning art. The paintings were amazing.

Nice museum, I spent about an hour wandering round but could've definitely stayed longer. Gorgeous rooms and displays, with most of the information boards in Italian and English. Loved learning about the different periods and movements in art. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the entry fee wasn't too expensive. Nice addition to a day out in Pisa :)

Very nice museum with an engaging collection of Italian art, from furniture to sculpture to painting, as well as some history of the city, some great works by Artemisia Gentileschi, Simon Vouet, and others, as well as rotating special exhibitions. The location is great, right on the Arno River, staff are friendly, lockers to store jackets and bags, elevators and a small bookstore as well. A very pleasant small museum with high quality curation, well worth a visit if you’re looking for a museum in Pisa!

No longer a place of worship, this little church is now currently used as a place to exhibit religious artworks. Gone are the pews, the space is now just open. Interesting history that this church used to be closer to the river and was relocated to this current spot in the mid 1850's. The side wall of the church now forms part of the river wall. Intricate and ornate features in marble and timber both inside and outside the church. A unique church.

Gothic Jewel of Pisa Built in 1230, it's one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Italy, known for its exquisite detail, despite being a very small church. --- 🦷 "Della Spina" Means "of the Thorn" The church is named after a thorn from Christ’s crown of thorns (spina in Italian), which was once kept there as a relic. The thorn is now housed in a museum, but the name remains.

I have to say, that the church itself is really nice, small and nice. It’s a beautiful gothic style, with lots of ornaments and sculptures. Thou the whole concept was not clear to me: and this is just a personal opinion. The beautiful small chiesa was the place to hold the spike from the Holy Crown of Thorns. Even the spike is not there, it is pretending to be a spiritual and Christian place. So it was really strange to see the advertising of the exhibition of some modern sculptor and a naked man right in front of the entrance of the church. What is mean is I like modern art, and the spirituality is also an important part of my life. But I do not see it mixed that way. This is very personal and I can understand people can have different opinions on that. For me it was not good and therefore I did no liked that

A wonderful little church, richly decorated on the outside with numerous ornaments and statues. The inside is not so impressive. Located on the banks of the Arno River and built in the Gothic style. It is worth seeing at least from the outside. The working hours as far as I know are Monday, Tuesday - closed, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 16.30-19.00, Saturday, Sunday - 10.00-13.00 and 16.00-19.00. GPS: 43.715247,10.396672

Nearest thing to a proper bar in Pisa. The one across the street was quite ok too. Apologies should there be anywhere similar which I failed to stumble across.

Best place to have home crafted beer in Pisa. All the beers are superb! They have small food menu to go with Beers as well. Can’t miss this place even if you are for one day in Pisa.

Nice bar to go if you like artisanale beers. Micro brewery which produce their own "Belgian like" beer. Pleasant people.

The bar atmosphere is super friendly and all, staff are super nice and helping and you can pay by card BUT I tried 4 beers on tap... Horrible. The girl didn't know how to pour beer or they had a problem but there was huge amount of foam and no gas. Disastrous taste.

The gardens are in a long thin strip inside the walls of Pisa behind the piazza del Duomo. There is a small but very interesting botanical museum. We found staff grumpy and unengaged and the gardens a bit scraggly, perhaps merely due to it being October. However this is a world first and has a great atmosphere.

Interesting. I did not buy the ticket which included the museum, so I cannot comment on that. The gardens are not overly large, but beautifully laid out, with some amazingly mature specimens of trees and shrubs. An oasis of tranquility. The extreme northern end has several raised spots, offering nice views of the tops of the cathedral and the bell tower. The gift shop had some very nice items. I enjoyed the experience.

Wow! What a lovely place to spend a couple of hours! We attended during October half term as a family of four; no charge for our 13y/o daughters, €12 for two adults with tickets to the museum and gardens. A great option if it’s a bit rainy as there are indoor cacti and ‘rain forest’ green houses as well as the museum itself. Gardens were lovely to walk through and the exhibits in the museum were absolutely stunning in their beauty and intricacy. A few of the reviews complain about the state of the plants looking half dead. I would guess that these visitors just happened to visit at a time when the plants were between seasons? Given that this place has been around for centuries and has a university faculty attached to it, I’m guessing the people who run the place DO actually know what they are doing in terms of managing the plants!! A peaceful option for any family with and autistic child preferring calmer places to explore. ⭐️❤️🌈

A good botanical garden that was worth the €4 admission fee. The plants were very well marked and labelled and I liked how it was laid out into two main areas based on style of garden. The greenhouses were hit or miss, some were closed and others felt quite cluttered and oppressive. The entrance was quite hard to locate, and it would be very nice if there was an alternate way in and out on Via Roma. Overall a good stop to get away from the tourist crowds and enjoy a nice day in Pisa.

The Pisa Botanical Garden has a rich history and an interesting concept, but unfortunately our visit was underwhelming. While the setting is peaceful and the idea of walking among rare species is appealing, the plants looked neglected, with several sick or even dead. It felt like the garden could use more care and attention to truly shine.

Botanic garden is around 15min walk from train station ! No need to purchase the tickets in advance ! The garden is huge, so many plants or flowers ! This garden was created in 1544 and it’s the oldest botanic garden of the world even they changed place. Now the garden is owned and maintained by the Pisa university ! A worth visit ! Very quiet and nice

Hidden gem, super full of liquors knowledgeable bartenders at NYC levels, cocktails made with passion, love and liquors. This is a stop that I never miss when I go to Tuscany, really a special place to visit and feel free to ask for any cocktails because they know how to make it and they do not well, more, they do it beautifully. I came to Italy for the art! This little shot bar is cheap and has hundreds of different combinations based of things like Anime, Video Games, TV series and more. The man behind the counter somehow magically remembers all of these and manages to make them look related too whatever you choose. I ordered a God of War and it looked like KRATOS! Not much room inside although I think that the intended purpose is to take your shots and go!

Just a few streets west of the main route from the station to the tower, many tourists miss this Piazza. Known as the Knights’ Square, this piazza has served life as a political center and has been home to a bunch of Knights (St Stephen’s). Currently, it is the home of the Scuola Normale Superiore, commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte to be based on the model of the Ecole in Paris. The greatest Italian professors studied here, like Antonio Pacinotti, Carducci, Pascoli, Fermi and Rubbia. On the left, there is Palazzo dell’ Orologio, rebuilt on the foundations of two historic towers of the Della Gherardesca family. it is lined with splendidly decorated buildings, has for centuries been the political heart of Pisa and is the second most important square after The Square of Miracles. A visit to the Renaissance church of Santo Stefano dei Cavalieri will give you a real insight into the colorful maritime history of the city. These days the students have taken over the main building (Palace of the Caravan) is part of the city’s university.

The square was the old center of Pisa. In 1558 Giorgio Vasari rebuilt it. You can still see Vasari's sgrafitti and the 6 bists of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany. A lot of public events and concerts are often held there.

Obviously I don't need to give you introduction to the place. There is dress code girls take a scarf with you to cover your shoulders or thighs. It is important to dress appropriately for a visit to a church, with rules against shorts and bare shoulders.

Stunning architecture and artwork in every single corner of this Cathedral, it truly feels like a holy place. Tickets to enter are free you need to go to ticket office to get them, not directly at the cathedral entrance. A must see if you are visiting the tower of Pisa is just beautiful.

Superb place in Pisa, Italy. The city is beautiful and have wonderful stores for shopping. There are eating places and restaurants at every corner. It’s just 1 hour train from Florence. Entire city of Pisa is walkable.

Very nice church. Remember to take the free ticket from the ticket office. Otherwise you won't be allowed in. Impressing amounts of paintings. It would be great to have some descriptions of them as well. Additional advantage, the organist was practicing during our visit. Really cool.

A truly impressive cathedral — one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen from the inside! It’s absolutely worth going inside; the architecture and atmosphere are breathtaking.

While in Pisa to see the Leaning Tower we went inside Cattedrale di Pisa. The beauty of design shows throughout the church. I lit a candle for a Catholic friend and walked around looking at all of the fine details. During our visit we could see the roof being replaced. Definitely a place you should stop and view if and when you make it to Pisa.

The cemetery where Pisa’s famous figures are buried is fascinating, especially because of the various epitaphs. The tombstones are engraved with intricate designs, reflecting the grief and remembrance of their families. There are also giant murals, making it well worth a visit.

Very lovely to see. Not so crowded like the rest! Included in the ticket if you buy the ticket with everything included. On the wall there are some nice frescos and the tomb stones are magnificent to see.

I highly recommend getting the ticket to include the Camposanto in your visit. From the exterior it is unimpressive but you will be amazed the minute you enter. It is an immense rectangular building partly open to the center lawn. There are beautiful frescos on the walls. Some of them a bit disturbing. You will see a satanic creature pulling a women's tongue out of her mouth. Gossip was considered a sin in medieval times. Many other frescos depict Biblical stories. The mathematician Leonardo Fabonacci 1170-1240 is buried here amount endless other notables. Their sarcophagie line the walls and their tombs are beneath the floor.

One of the most suggestive medieval cemeteries in Tuscany. Built like an abbey cloister, its walls are covered in grand frescoes depicting biblical scenes. The ground houses tombs of many Pisan notables, their coats of arms sculpted in marble.

It's a great place, quiet and peaceful even when there are a lot of people. The place literally breathes history, so to make it more interesting, take a guide or read about the place in advance.

Easily the weirdest graveyard I've walked upon. Look at your feet. You get the feeling you're in a museum, but most frescoes are under your feet, which is weird, because they're rarely surrounded and honestly I worry that people will wear them off just walking over them. It is interesting, though I wish there was more to read and not just watch, but maybe nobody knows much.. ps: buy the combined ticket.

Such a wonderful mural of one of my favorite artists! A fun fact I learned from a tour guide is that the symbol of the city of Pisa, a special cross is present in the mural in the form of the golden-yellow people merging together forming a plus sign shape!

Came here on the recommendation of our airBnB host and was not disappointed. My partner had a spritz and I had a gin cocktail with moscato and lime juice, with some other delicious things! We also had the vegetarian appetiser board which was amazing! Great bar staff! Friendly and fast service.

Excellent cocktails, the waiter made us everything we wanted even if it was not on the list. Prices are reasonable compared to Rome and Florence I would say 40% cheaper and yet taste better and more personality, technique and flavour. The menu had a Negroni twist where they had several different negronis, we loved the smoke infused version as seen in the picture, I had x4 happy and tipped as the bill was so far under what you or in Florence 100% recommend

Eleven Cafe is absolutely my favourite place in Pisa. The staff are friendly and welcoming and I’ve been coming back for over 5 years. Great cocktail menu and a family run business that has great interactions with their customers. Highly recommend my friends at Eleven.

It’s a nice bar with cheap buffet and good drinks, but just for all tourists: be aware that the €2 fee for the buffet is added to each drink you get. That’s why everyone comes just for one drinks and leaves. I’m not at all saying it’s a scam, it’s still a good deal! Just be aware of it, since the info is in Italian.

I'm a bit biased as I live in an apartment above this wonderful bar. But it's got a full on relaxed feel with the lounge chairs and swings. The panino's are GREAT too, especially the Baccalà. For me it's a must visit in Pisa.

Amazing view! The sunset there is really wonderful. The cost of drinks is honest. Not a lot of option of foods, put good to snacks. They have special schedule every night. Today was kids karaoke. I really advise you to spent some hour there, best place to drink

Hands down, the best bar in Pisa! The staff here are incredibly friendly and laid-back, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Their drink menu is an adventure in itself, with a diverse selection of beverages and cocktails, many of which hail from the southern part of Italy. I must give a special nod to their aperitifs; they truly hit the mark. This is the perfect spot for a fantastic night out, and it's no surprise that it's a magnet for the younger crowd. A highly recommended destination to kick off a memorable evening.

Fantastic place! Very good food and beverages! All speciality from South Italy. Wine is the best, you can have a delicious happy hour for cheap prices and nighttime you can have southern traditional liquors or still wine. Very warm atmosphere, I like it.

Very small place offering food for the purchase of at least a cup of wine. Wine here is usually above average to good, so the exchange is quite pleasing. Food is vegetarian and for the most part vegan, good and well presented though the same every night. You can order as well from the menu for an additional price but I never tried this option. Some exclusive spirits are available as well

We just pass by the bar . They look okay, music , dancing . The view is very nice to see sunset in Pisa. Along the bridge , Pisa river side got similar place like that but it’s is look the busier at 12 pm you will see even busier there. Pisa drinking price is good price compare other tourist area.

The place is fantastic, right on the riverbank, with great ambiance and just a good vibe in general. The staff are really nice, and the food is just amazing! Their smash burger made weep literal tears of joy! My friend also loved their vegan burger!

It really is a nice place to hang out during summer time in Pisa. Located at the edge of Arno River you may enjoy sunsets view with cold beer, spritz, and other drinks and snacks. I didn’t try the food or snacks so I couldn’t say much about it, but it was a nice place to relax.

The Lungarni di Pisa offers pleasant riverside walks with some charming views of the Arno and historic buildings. While it’s nice for a gentle stroll, we found it a bit quieter and less lively than expected, with fewer cafés and shops along the way. Worth seeing, but not a highlight.

I wouldn’t say that this is the prettiest spot. In my opinion the view is better from in front of the blue palace. At night the walk along the river is full of friends enjoying. The closer you get to the bridge, the emptier it gets. Still pretty

Nice open space to have drinks with a lively atmosphere. Loads of spritz and cocktails to choose from. Think it's around €5-7 a spritz. The Midori spritz and Japanese Iced Tea were my favourites. The other half can't get enough of the coconut spritz. Easy ordering experience using QR code. You do have to pay at the bar though rather than through the site. Drinks arrived quickly despite the busy time. If you want to use the bathroom, you'll need to hold on to your ticket and make your way to the opposite side of the square into 'Mojito Mania' which must be their other shop. Just one bathroom serving multiple businesses which can get busy to expect a queue!

Such a cute place right by the water and our BnB ! Fun drinks with extensiiive choice for spritz (which yes aren’t just your usual aperol spritzes if you love to be a hater who’s into so-called traditions). The real highlight though was reading the response to negative comments on Google maps. 2000/10 for that.

One of the nicest but least known places in Pisa. A historic square with nice bars and restaurants frequented by young people, old people and families with kids. Not to be missed!

Such a beautiful place. We were lucky that the choir began singing while we were on the upper level and the acoustics were incredible. The sound seemed to come from every direction at once. A beautifully designed baptistery with impressive acoustics and elegant Romanesque-Gothic architecture. The interior is simple yet majestic, and the echo demonstration is a lovely highlight for visitors.

Didn't have a time for visit this place but from pictures i saw it seems quite empty inside and very simple. From outside its quite impressive though, 55 m high and 107 m in circumference, one of the largest in the World. Echo inside is very unique and its worth to hear the crew demonstration of this exquisite acoustic every 30min.

The Baptistery of Saint John (Italian: Battistero di San Giovanni) is a baptistery in Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa. It is an outstanding monument of Italian Romanesque and Gothic architecture and sculpture. Construction began in 1152 and was completed in 1363. Chronologically, it is a later structure than the Pisa Cathedral and an earlier one than the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

It was a great place to see along with the rest of the monuments in the plaza. Fair warning, beware of the people selling things that are not at a stand. If the police are walking around they will hide what they are selling and close their bags and head the opposite direction. It is really comical. The building itself has a lot of history and the inside is beautiful.

Included in the ticket price for €27 there was little to no queue and no timed entry so very easy to explore ,, the stairs to the first floor are a bit difficult to locate.. they’re immediately left as soon as you enter

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! While there isn’t much other than pizza on the menu, the pizza is very light and delicious! I ordered the mozzarella, yellow, and red tomatoes pizza - so light and easy to devour. I got the pistachio cheesecake after. It wasn’t my favorite and it made me regret not choosing the house made tiramisu. They also have a selection of beers. I had a light wheat beer and it paired well with my simple pizza. Overall, it was a good dining experience and I would come back again the next time I visit Pisa!

The place is super nice & comfy & quite (for a pizza place 🤭) so it’s a recommended place to meet up with friends or date 😏. They have selection of wine & beer to compliment the dinner. They have indoor seating only with AC. The staffs are super nice and they could speak in English in case you need some explanation. Notes: makes sure to book in advanced especially if you want to come on Friday night & weekend bcz it’s always full. Not sure if they accept a very big group booking, but a group if 8 people still convenient to have.

Great pizza! Some of the best I have had here in Italy. They came recommended by a local artist we bought a piece from near the Cathedral. They opened at 7:00 - right when we arrived. I was super surprised that the first words out of their mouth when walking into the restaurant (which was completely empty) were “do you have a reservation?” Hesitatingly they sat us at a small table but said we would need to be done by 8. I guess the place must be packed by that time. Service was nice and quick otherwise. I would definitely eat there again.

Love this place! Staff welcomed us in for a nice lunch. I had the clam and muscle soup, fantastic. My wife had the clam and muscle spaghetti, it too was unbelievable. the sauce was one of the best i have ever tasted. If you are into really good food, try this place.

Really enjoyed our evening here and would go back again. Staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient. There were only three waitresses but they worked really well together while still finding time to answer any questions about the menu. Ravioli were superb, as was the wild boar. Not a huge restaurant and seems to be popular so be sure to reserve a table.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant so we gave it a try. They have meat, seafood and vegetarian 4 courses menu to choose from. You can even change some of the dishes if you want. Very friendly staff and quick service. They didn’t leave the impression that if you don’t order wine, then they will treat you differently. Not every dishes are good. My mussels spaghetti was a bit too salty but had the right chewiness. The steak also was just ok. The lemon sorbet was very good. The grilled octopus was good and juicy as well.

Wow! We had the Prix Fixe seafood menu! Amazing. And the lemon gelato with Prosecco! Final touch.

Appertif of anchovies and wine was really good. The baked fish with vegetables was fine, but the pasta was overcooked and had no flavor.

The food here was delicious! Ordering the food was a bit confusing though. We arrived right when the restaurant opened according to Google maps, but the staff were only starting to set the restaurant up. They began putting out tables and chairs, etc. a line formed so we lined up but as we got to the front (which took a while since the line was long) they told us for dine-in eating, we had to find a table outside. Since we spent all our time in line there were limited tables but we managed to find one. After that, it took a while for the servers to get to us and give us our food. They were nice about it and attentive, but the service was just too confusing and not well explained for someone who is not a local. Overall, the food was really good, not too salty, very flavourful and felt authentic for the pisa area.

We stopped at Pizzeria Trattoria Il Montino while visiting Pisa and tried their famous chickpea flour flatbread called cecina, which is made with chickpea flour, olive oil, and salt water. It was really good, warm, simple, and crispy on the edges, but after watching the pizzas come out of the wood-fired oven I truly wish I had ordered one instead. The oven itself was amazing and the man behind the counter, who only spoke Italian, told us through our guide that the fire inside has not gone out since the late 1800s and that the dome is still the original to the location. He even said it is the oldest wood-fired oven still in use in Italy, which made the experience feel so special and authentic. The pizza looked absolutely incredible and I could tell it would have been worth every bite. I really wish we had stayed in Pisa for another day so I could have come back to try the pizza. If you are anywhere near Pisa, definitely stop by for a slice of history and what looks like some of the best pizza around.

A small, traditional Pisan pizzeria with Italian pan pizza. Not the thin Napolitan pizza (which is also nice)! If you know, then these are very tasty indeed. Served with a crispy crust and loads of tomato sauce, the pizze are made by artisans and they are all you could wish for when visiting a busy place like Pisa. Also interesting: the mottos and photos on the walls.

Pretty awesome place. The owners were kind enough to give us an indoor table on a rainy day (indoor section was not open yet). The pizza was awesome and we also got a corn based dish (can't remember the name) which was great as well. Nice cozy place. Loved the artwork on the wall as well sculptures made out of old circuits. Tucked away in the heart of Pisa, this wood-fired haven came highly recommended by the person I’m renting from, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Let’s talk about the star of the show: cecina. I had never tried it before, but now I’m wondering how I’ve lived this long without it. Cecina is a thin, golden flatbread made from chickpea flour, olive oil, water, and salt — then baked in a blazing wood-fired oven until it’s perfectly crisp on the edges and luxuriously soft in the center. A dusting of black pepper is all it needs to make your eyes close involuntarily on that first bite. Oh, and did I mention it only cost 2 euro? That’s not a price — that’s daylight robbery in your favor. A dish this iconic, this flavorful, this transportive — for less than a cup of coffee? It felt like Pisa was giving me a warm, golden edible hug. Sure, the wait was long. But the air was thick with the scent of toasting chickpea batter and smoldering olive wood — a perfume that made time stand still and hunger turn into poetry. Montino isn’t just a place to eat. It’s where Tuscany whispers its secrets through flavor. Don’t miss it. Don’t question it. Just go — and order the cecina. Twice.

AMMAZZA!! What a wonderful find. We arrived at lunch with a big queue, which we accidentally skipped through. Do not let this put you off, you will regret it if you do. You've gotta get the cecina 🤌🏽 it's like a soft chickpeaflour omelette, and mio dio is it something special. There's a serious oven in there going back 6foot, so please order yourself a pizza. We had the margherita, it was both soft, crunchy and wildly delizioso. There are loads of different focaccia options so don't be afraid to ask for help. Italian boss man was very friendly. Although our Italian was non existent and their English was limited, they are still helpful. Bonus is the Italian banter, so sit on the stools inside if you get a chance to soak up the atmosfera. Finally if you like red wine, get the one pictured here. Divino.

Very nice restaurant to wrap up our day trip in Pisa, after the walk on Le Mura Di Pisa! We had the rabbit stew, minestrone soup, seafood pasta and the chickpea veggie cake! Delicious food and friendly service! Definitely recommend!

This was the best value meal we had in Italy and it was delicious too. They do the pasta in half portions too so we could try more. It was filled with Italians - a good sign - and the staff all spoke perfect English so it was really easy to communicate. They had an English menu too. You order food at the counter and need to collect it when ready but because the staff knew we spoke English they made it very easy for us. Great experience, great food and great prices.

Cozy location with super tasty local food. It's one of the hidden gems of Pisa. Can't miss it if you want something authentic. Bread basket AMAZING. It has a canteen vibe to it as you have to set up the table yourself and clear it after you finished. You order the food at the bar and they call you to pick it up when it's ready. Wine also good. Great food, good service. Portions are on the slightly smaller side, but everything tastes delicious and the wait staff are lovely. Nice spot for a date or for a quiet dinner with friends away from the more tourist-filled centre.

I went here with my best-friend on our little trip through Tuscany. The restaurant is really stylish, but in my opinion a bit too minimalistic. They received us with a glass of Blanc de Blancs: delicious! And very kind of course They have a really nice menu with super fresh ingredients. For starter we had a fresh raw fish plate and 3 different fish tartare plate : both of high quality but I'm not very keen of fruit with my dish, which the tartare all had. Afterwords we had spaghetti with blu lobster and shellfish sauce ( suuuuper nice ) and a kind of ravioli filled with octopus and a local red shrimp sauce ( also excellent ). Nice wine menu and the overall experience was great! Grazie!

Delicious cuisine in a very touristic place

We went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday and everything was an amazing experience. The best tuna fish I ever had, a customer service like nowhere else and great atmosphere. Highly recommended and Dino is the best chef .

I was quite surprised in this restaurant that I chose during my stay in Pisa. First I had to wait a little, but then the food came. The pasta with octopus and tomatoes. I realised that this was going to be a tough game. The food was great, the portion was huge and I only managed to finish it thanks to the natural water. Worth every euro spent. Definitely recommend to visit and try it here. It's great.

I’ve been to this restaurant quite a few times in 2024 and 2025 and the food was always good. I went again in September 2025, tragically the taste of the meat was not good quality did not match what was served previously. I could not finish the food. A waste, and the food made me queasy. Great service but sadly the quality has reduced in this most recent visit.

Disappointed, I can't agree with the other reviews. First of all, the venue isn't clean. The windows are filthy (see picture) which sets a bad mood to start with. The only dishes that were good were "easy" ones that can be pre-pepared, e.g. the gnocchi. Things that required skill where disappointing. The grilled meat for example was overcooked - dry and charred beyond what is normal for grilled meat. The chocolote-dipped strawberries we got "as a gift" after eating were half rotten. The service was friendly, but that is really the only positive thing I can say about this restaurant.

Food is hit and miss. We had ravioli (which was very nice) and a mixed grill that I'm not sure my dog would have eaten. All bone, gristle, and dry as a Saudi's sandle. Prices seemed ok, and the drinks were good. When I complained, the mood turned sour. My offer of refunding my meal, and me giving it back to the staff as a tip, was met with "you've had the meal, you pay the price". I think I'll send them a cookbook, once I've finished picking the meat out of my teeth. My rating 2/10

The food is good, and it's served quite quickly. They also have various dishes (I tried the Bordatino soup, which was a nice surprise). The lasagna and the grilled meat are also very good. I don't recommend the fried seafood though (too heavy).

I had a very pleasant experience, they have their unique way of catering, the guys were very nice, spoke perfect English, and the food was delicious, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Al Madina is an excellent restaurant in piza and a perfect place to go especially if you're getting tired of eating Italian food on your trip to Italy. The servers there went the extra mile to explain menu items to American tourists and they really aim to please. The food is really flavorful and delicious.

What a wonderful restaurant! Sometimes we come into Pisa just to eat here. They have a great Syrian/Lebanese cuisine. Vegetarian, vegan and non. Wine, beer, soda, tea, coffee. Soooo yummy! Order at the bar and set your own table (don't wait for them to serve you! ;)

Very good food. Lots of vegan/vegetarian dishes. The service was a little confused but the restaurant was full. The owner is very friendly, overall a very good experience. Reasonably priced!

What makes a historical building even greater? A good story. Here, acording to the legend, St. Peter stepped on the land of Italy (Roman empire back then) for the first time and built the first altar in Italy in 43AD🥲 As a reminder of that feat a church was built here in 4th century and later a basilica in 11th, which you can admire today. There are still doing some excavations in it but you can admire old architecture and frescoes. There should be a portrait of all popes till 14th century above the columns of pilars. No tickets here, but need to be creative about parking. Limited number of them.

A very suggestive place, indescribable peace and holiness. It's a wonderful feeling when you visit here - you don't want to leave. A magical religious place, full of frescos and placed in a quiet location. The history of this beautiful Church goes back to the life of St. Peter, who visited in his life - see the ruins inside the church! - and don't forget to enjoy a wonderful ice cream just across the road! 😉

A beautiful mystical basilica, close to Pisa. Not on most tourists itinerary but one if the best sights in the region

This is a small museum full of items from local churches and historical sites, based in an old church complex. The man on the ticket desk didn't speak English so we had an amusing time trying to understand his Italian and hand gestures! The museum is ok, but nowhere near as good as the Palazzo Blu, across the river.

If aged under 25, there is a €2 reduced price ticket as listed in their website, but you have to ask for it at the desk. Nice little museum to kill and hour of time.

Exquisite. Even if you are not particularly into early mediaeval religious art, this museum will still take your breath away. I never appreciated how talented and important the artists of Pisa were in the 11th to 14th century. When Pisa was invaded in 1405, the artists of Florence and Lombardy took over. The style changed. Beautifully presented in this old former convent, for me this was an unexpected highlight of my visit to Pisa.

This museum is very well maintained and provides tour as well. It is considered as one of the best museum in Pisa. The size of the museum isn't so big, but we can see many paintings and sculptures from different periods.

An amazing collection especially of early Pisan art. At first it looks a bit unloved but they are clearly updating the displays and they are doing a fantastic job! We spent 2 1/2 hours there with no other visitors - and paid only 5 euros. Definitely worthwhile if you have any interest in developments in this time and place. You are unlikely to see anything as good anywhere else.

For 18 Euros only few pieces of cheese and the cheapest ham, you can buy in Italy for 1 €. Too much expensive for very low level of food. Highly NOT recommended

We walked by here on a Thursday when it was supposed to be closed, and found it open. We tried our lackluster Italian on the people who run the place and they seemed very happy and welcoming. It was a lovely space and the bottle of Syrah we had was delicious. We listened to the locals talk, the radio sing and the night pass by as we enjoyed our time at this lovely place. We will be coming back here.

Good service, tasty food, great wine! We were quiet hungry after the flight, and thought we need pizza/pasta, but this place did a trick, good wine, plate of cheese and meat for two and great emotions afterword ;) Highly recommended to visit.

While the views from the plaza are very nice, it does not seem like there is public entry for any kind of art or sculpture museum, at least on my visit.

It was built1562-1564 for the headquarters of Knights of St. Stephen. Presently housing the main building of the Scuola Normale Superiore de Pisa. The current paintings in the façade date of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Ordered an iced tea. firstly they handed me alcoholic drink that i didn’t order. then they came with the drink and it was terrible. there was half of the things that needed to be in the drink. there wasn’t sugar and lime. only green tea ice and mint. absolutely disgusting. not recommended.

the best cioccolata calda in pisa. the thick and chocolatey drink is delicious and comforting. the service was great. very friendly staff. we had pastries to share which they offered to cut in half. they were also delicious. great atmosphere and prices as well.

Loved this fountain, the sculptures are so detailed. I was mesmerised. This is located in the piazza de miracoli where the leaning tower of pisa and cathedral are. I actually filled up my bottle of water from this fountain as well! Great fresh and cold water.

I was really surprised by how much I liked this museum. I went there on a whim one sunday when the ticket cost was waived and really enjoyed the variety of art on display. Even if you don't go on a free day, the ticket cost isn't too bad, so definitely worth visiting if you have the time. I also happened to have the museum virtually to myself, which is always fun.

A real nice museum in Pisa. Enjoyed the exhibition about fadhion, sport and art in August 2023. And would have lovede to see the forthcoming exhibition about Avantgarde. The museum has at beautiful staircase with raw brickwalls and a skylight

Lovely building right at the Arno river. I was lucky to see the Robert Doisneau exhibition on a rainy day in Pisa. Certainly worth a visit if you can't stroll around town.

It Is a very well kept Museum and It varies frequently the expositions, the staff is friendly and helpfull. You can find lovely things to buy, such as small Italian handmade jewelry

Found this by accident whilst walking to the tower...it's a nice addition to your site seeing tour of Pisa but only giving 3 stars as the gates were locked up so you cant go inside for a closer look. Photos I took were perched on the wall / fence surrounding it.

Also known as the Bagni di Nerone, are ancient Roman baths served as a public bathing complex and were an important social and recreational hub in ancient Pisa.

Stumbled upon this attraction. Not one to visit just looks like an old un maintained building. I appreciate the history behind it but the area is mains for cars and on a busy crossing.

Not very impressive BUT the site had a active team of archaeologists that were actively digging. I guess in the future the site will be a lot more impressive

Old ruin, may have historical significance, but not kept well... definitely need some uplifting, make over, some light, better boards and information about this place

Didn't visit the church itself, just stop by to see the inclination of the octagonal bell tower. Bell tower (from 12th century) is one of the three bell towers that has an inclination, after famous Pisa tower and another tower of the church outside the city - Chiesa San Michele degli Scalzi. The tower was once separated from the building and its base is under the street level now. Inclination is very mild but still visible, tilting is towards the street and river Arno.

All the people of the community church are truely approachable and really friendly even to extracommunitary...the Saturday night mass...i love it so much all the people are participating even the small children.

This is actually a really interesting place. Unfortunately as with a lot of Pisa it is not so welcoming for tourists. There is some fascinating history, the picture attached tells the story.

A must see in Pisa, an old church, with plenty of arts inside, but, with an alive community, ready to host you. If you should decide to visit it, before or after your visit, it doesn't matter, sit down, keep calm, take away any thought, close your eyes and look for the Lord: he's waiting for you to give you peace and love for free...

Outside it is looking beautiful but we couldn't get in because it was closed.

Good reviews, we decided to sit. And then a very thoughtful owner took care of us and our son. The cocktails were really good, made from the heart and tasty. The view toward the south part of the city was a plus. Definitely recommend!

You want good cocktails? Come here! Just tell the owner what you want or order from the menu. If you like piccante try the Calabria 😜

I visited two days in a row — the hospitality and cocktails were top-notch. You can enjoy your drinks while watching the street. I tried the Negroni, Espresso Martini, and Red Hook; I especially recommend the Negroni.

Spent an evening at Baribaldi a couple of weeks ago- fabulous cocktails and snacks. Great atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

The staff here are super welcoming and speak English, which makes things easy. I had a Hugo Spritz and my wife went for an alcohol-free cocktail — both were nice. Prices are average, nothing crazy. They also have a covered terrace outside, so we could stay dry from the rain while still enjoying our drinks. Overall, a good spot for a casual stop.

Really good drinks and just overall a lovely place. I really wanted to go here and was not dissapointed. The man who worked there was super nice and efficient and you can easily see he loves his job, and that made the experience even better. 10/10 would deffinitly reccoment and will probably go back someday

Although I was the only one who ordered a Sangria, which was excellent by the way, the rest of the family bought ice cream next door, we were all welcomed at their table. They brought me a plate with appetizers for the Sangria, the others a glass of water, napkins, smiles and goodwill. It was the first day of my vacation and I felt very good at their place. I recommend it for a moment of rest!

Fine food, simple but good, price ok, has bathroom and is next to a great gelateria.

The first night we went was during the happy hour. Prices were reasonable but the happy hour food was not good. We came back the next night and ordered a Bazeel pizza from the menu. The pizza was really good and the service was good too. The outdoor patio was nice. Overall, a good experience.

Took 25-30 minutes to get two drinks out to us, and the place was empty inside and only a handful of people outside. The waitress kept looking at us so she obviously knew we hadn't received our drinks yet but still carried on serving other people/ cleaning tables. Would have happily stayed for a couple more drinks if the service wasn't so slow.

Packed full of university students, this place attracts the worst crowd, but is not much different than any other nightclub you might visit. The owner is unfriendly and gruff. The bartenders would rather be anywhere else. The DJs are not worth mentioning. Good for beer pong nights and their very decent aperitivo. One of the guys working there MCs - he's the nicest guy in there and always happy to see you. Otherwise unremarkable locale.

We stopped here for Pizza at the terras outside yesterday. My daughters, wife and I were all in agreement that this was a great place: very friendly waitresses, very affordable and on top of that very good quailty. We recommend this to anyone looking for a good place to have a great freshly baked pizza.Thumbs up!

Italian" & "buffet" doesn't usually go together but because they use good ingredients and make everything from scratch, I understand that this is the model that works for them. There is a choice of starters, then pastas and meats, and of course desserts. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The service was very good. Our waitress, Veronica was adorable, very friendly and efficient. Our food was very good, price was fair.
