The Tower of Pisa, also known as Torre Pendente di Pisa, is a stunning 14th-century structure in Italy that has gained worldwide fame for its distinctive lean. The tower originally leaned at a dramatic angle of 5.5 degrees but extensive restoration work has reduced the lean to less than 4.0 degrees.
This was an amazing experience as one of the marvels of the world. To see this building leaning in its original form after centuries as it stands. The site has been well preserved. The line to go up the top was relatively short for an attraction in Italy. During the winter when I came the weather is cool in the morning but perfect by midday especially to stand in lines.
Cheryl J — Google review
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most iconic and fascinating landmarks in the world a true symbol of Italy’s charm and history. Seeing it in person is an incredible experience; its famous tilt is even more striking and impressive than photos can capture. The white marble gleams beautifully under the sun, and the detailed Romanesque architecture is simply stunning. Climbing to the top is an unforgettable experience. As you ascend the spiral staircase, you can actually feel the tower’s tilt, which adds a sense of adventure and wonder. Once at the top, the panoramic view of Pisa and the surrounding Tuscan landscape is breathtaking. The tower is part of the Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), surrounded by other magnificent monuments like the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and the Baptistery, all of which are worth exploring. The area has a lively, joyful atmosphere with cafés, souvenir shops, and green lawns perfect for photos and relaxing. Whether you come for history, architecture, or just the fun of taking the classic “holding up the tower” photo, the Leaning Tower of Pisa never disappoints. It’s a place full of charm, beauty, and a sense of wonder that makes every visit truly special.
Lg G — Google review
Iconic, Beautiful, and Worth the Hype (Visited in September 2025) I visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa in September 2025, and it was every bit as impressive as I hoped. Seeing it in person — slightly tilted yet perfectly balanced — was surreal. The weather was warm and sunny, perfect for walking around the Piazza dei Miracoli and taking photos without feeling rushed. Climbing the tower was an unforgettable experience. The marble steps are worn and slanted from centuries of use, and as you ascend, you can actually feel the lean — it’s both thrilling and slightly dizzying! The view from the top is absolutely worth it, offering panoramic views of Pisa and the surrounding Tuscan landscape. The area can be busy with tourists, but if you go early in the morning or later in the afternoon, it’s much quieter. The cathedral and baptistery nearby are also stunning and definitely worth exploring. Overall: A must-see once in your lifetime. The Leaning Tower of Pisa isn’t just a famous landmark — it’s a masterpiece of history, architecture, and human perseverance.
Fav M — Google review
Pisa is a charming and historic city that truly captures the spirit of Italy. Famous for its iconic Leaning Tower, the city offers much more than just that – beautiful architecture, cozy streets, and a relaxing atmosphere. Walking around the Piazza dei Miracoli feels like stepping into a living museum, surrounded by stunning buildings and rich history. The locals are friendly, the food is delicious, and there’s a lovely mix of culture and calmness throughout the city. Whether you come for sightseeing, photography, or simply to enjoy authentic Italian vibes, Pisa is definitely worth visiting. A small city with a big heart — unforgettable and full of beauty! 🇮🇹✨
Nika S — Google review
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is an absolute blast to visit! Seeing it in person is way more impressive than any photo, and the tilt is even more dramatic up close. The best part? Getting creative with photos! We had so much fun “holding it up,” pretending to push it over, leaning against it, or even putting it in an ice cream cone — endless silly opportunities for memories and laughs. The surrounding Piazza dei Miracoli is beautiful too, with the cathedral and baptistery making the perfect backdrop. Even just walking around and soaking in the architecture is a treat. Tip: bring your camera and a playful attitude — it’s all about the fun angles and perspective tricks. Crowds can get busy, so a little patience helps to get your perfect shot. Visiting the Leaning Tower isn’t just sightseeing — it’s a joyful, hands-on experience that’s perfect for families, friends, and anyone who loves a little photo fun. Definitely one of the most memorable stops in Italy!
Chen Z — Google review
Iconic- such an amazing view. I loved this place but so crowded. I would recommend visiting the museum next to the tower of Pisa to get an amazing view with minimal people spoiling your photos. Also there is a restaurant in this museum and you get a stunning view. Recommend climbing the tower of Pisa that was amazing make sure you are willing to climb as can be tiring. Trainers recommended for the climb.
J — Google review
The tower, together with the rest of the objectives, are definitely worth seeing. Climbing up opens up a great view of the city. Don't miss out on the Baptistery (where you can also climb to the top, with the opportunity to take a lovely photo of the cathedral). Pisa is also a very nice town, it feels a lot more like Italy than Rome :)
Alexandra P — Google review
Had a lovely time here. The tower itself has a beautiful view when you're at the top. The steps are slippery tho so be careful aspecially when walking back down. The cathedral is gorgeous also on the inside. We bought tickets that included entree to all buildings and museums and also walked the walls of pisa all the way (which was quite long). Definitely recommend visiting and also going inside.

The museum boasts a remarkable permanent collection of Italian art, featuring exquisite paintings and artworks from the 5th to the 15th century. Visitors can also immerse themselves in splendid contemporary art pieces and temporary exhibitions.
Went there to view Hokusai exhibition, truly amazing. The disposition and selection of artworks. There were nice transitions between rooms. Also lockers available for free, a nice coffee machine, and a good giftshop at the end. Recommended!

Really worth the hype! 🖼️ The tickets are not expensive at all and you get to see a lot of cool paintings and some artwork. I feel in love with the leisure room, it looked quite charming and I also liked the section they devoted to history of the first and second world wars. I learned a lot thanks to this visit.

The museum showcases a rich collection of art, including works from the Renaissance to contemporary pieces, as well as temporary exhibitions. The displays are thoughtfully curated, offering visitors a deep dive into Italian art and culture. It’s a lovely spot for art lovers looking to explore Pisa beyond its famous Leaning Tower. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

Really enjoyed my visit at Palazzo Blu. This place is a must see for art lovers. Definitely a hidden gem in the city, along with the Keith Haring Tuttomondo- another must see in Pisa! Very interesting artifacts and stunning art. The paintings were amazing.
Louise M — Google review
Nice museum, I spent about an hour wandering round but could've definitely stayed longer. Gorgeous rooms and displays, with most of the information boards in Italian and English. Loved learning about the different periods and movements in art. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the entry fee wasn't too expensive. Nice addition to a day out in Pisa :)

I only saw this by night from the other side of the river, but it’s absolutely worth seeing. It’s very beautifully lit up at night, and casts a lovely reflection on the river

Very nice museum with an engaging collection of Italian art, from furniture to sculpture to painting, as well as some history of the city, some great works by Artemisia Gentileschi, Simon Vouet, and others, as well as rotating special exhibitions. The location is great, right on the Arno River, staff are friendly, lockers to store jackets and bags, elevators and a small bookstore as well. A very pleasant small museum with high quality curation, well worth a visit if you’re looking for a museum in Pisa!

Chiesa di Santa Maria della Spina is a small Gothic church in Pisa, situated on the southern bank of the river Arno. It was constructed in the 1200s by the Gualandi family and originally named Santa Maria di Pontenovo. The church's title "della Spina" refers to a thorn from Christ's crown of thorns, which was housed there until the 19th century.
Beautiful early 12th century small church built of white marble on the south bank of the river Arno, right on its edge. Church is now used are and exhibition hall, not as a church anymore, but ones holds a thorn from the Crown of Christ (spina). Church was in late 19th century dismantled and rebuilt on higher level because of infiltration of the water from river Arno. Beautiful small church looks like a small cake of the edge of the road is one of the must places to visit in Pisa south bank. It's one of the best preserved Gothic architecture in whole Italy. Entrance is free.
Tomi V — Google review
No longer a place of worship, this little church is now currently used as a place to exhibit religious artworks. Gone are the pews, the space is now just open. Interesting history that this church used to be closer to the river and was relocated to this current spot in the mid 1850's. The side wall of the church now forms part of the river wall. Intricate and ornate features in marble and timber both inside and outside the church. A unique church.
Samantha P — Google review
The Chiesa di Santa Maria della Spina in Pisa is a stunning Gothic church located along the Arno River. Its intricate exterior, adorned with delicate carvings and sculptures, makes it one of the most beautiful small churches in Italy. The church’s name, “Spina,” refers to a relic believed to be a thorn from Christ’s crown, which was once housed there. Although small, its architectural details and ornate façade are truly impressive. It’s a peaceful, charming spot to visit and offers a quieter experience compared to Pisa’s more famous attractions. A hidden gem worth exploring!
Dani B — Google review
Gothic Jewel of Pisa Built in 1230, it's one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Italy, known for its exquisite detail, despite being a very small church. --- 🦷 "Della Spina" Means "of the Thorn" The church is named after a thorn from Christ’s crown of thorns (spina in Italian), which was once kept there as a relic. The thorn is now housed in a museum, but the name remains.
Haydar L — Google review
I have to say, that the church itself is really nice, small and nice. It’s a beautiful gothic style, with lots of ornaments and sculptures. Thou the whole concept was not clear to me: and this is just a personal opinion. The beautiful small chiesa was the place to hold the spike from the Holy Crown of Thorns. Even the spike is not there, it is pretending to be a spiritual and Christian place. So it was really strange to see the advertising of the exhibition of some modern sculptor and a naked man right in front of the entrance of the church. What is mean is I like modern art, and the spirituality is also an important part of my life. But I do not see it mixed that way. This is very personal and I can understand people can have different opinions on that. For me it was not good and therefore I did no liked that
Gsoonly — Google review
I only saw this by night, but it’s truly beautiful from the outside, seemingly hanging over the river bank

A wonderful little church, richly decorated on the outside with numerous ornaments and statues. The inside is not so impressive. Located on the banks of the Arno River and built in the Gothic style. It is worth seeing at least from the outside. The working hours as far as I know are Monday, Tuesday - closed, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 16.30-19.00, Saturday, Sunday - 10.00-13.00 and 16.00-19.00. GPS: 43.715247,10.396672

Nestled in the charming backstreets of Pisa, Orzo Bruno is a delightful brewpub that captures the essence of a local hangout. This vibrant spot offers an impressive selection of craft beers, all brewed nearby in Bientina, alongside delicious antipasti and panini to complement your drink. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it a favorite among students who gather here to unwind and socialize.
We were drawn into this place because it looked inviting, cosy and had a nice vibe. We weren't expecting to call a halt to our bar crawl across Pisa, as we had a few more places to visit. The range of beers here appears to value quality over quantity, with each one being better than the last. The service was incredible and we were talking to the staff for a while, alas the drinks are quite strong, so maybe go for the "piccolo" rather than the "grande".
Andy G — Google review
Nearest thing to a proper bar in Pisa. The one across the street was quite ok too. Apologies should there be anywhere similar which I failed to stumble across.

The Botanical Garden and Museum in Pisa is a serene oasis founded in the 16th century, featuring an arboretum, medicinal plants, fountains, and flowerbeds. It's a perfect spot for families with kids to explore different greenhouses and areas while enjoying the lush surroundings. The museum on the grounds offers an interesting insight into botanical history.
I am dedicating this review to the most important part of this botanical garden: the orange fatso. He is always there on a sunny day to greet you, he might even cuddle you if it's colder and if you build that type of trust with him. He will bite and scratch if you cross him. He is always in the right to do it, so don't try him. Respect the little guy, he is the key part of the experience. He let me cuddle him only recently after 3 years of courting... followed immediately by a slap in the face so you win some and you lose some. Also, obviously this is a place worth checking out, one of the cutest and most peaceful places in Pisa, especially the central part that lacks greenery. You'll like it here, I can guarantee it.
Evelina P — Google review
The gardens are in a long thin strip inside the walls of Pisa behind the piazza del Duomo. There is a small but very interesting botanical museum. We found staff grumpy and unengaged and the gardens a bit scraggly, perhaps merely due to it being October. However this is a world first and has a great atmosphere.
Mike S — Google review
Interesting. I did not buy the ticket which included the museum, so I cannot comment on that. The gardens are not overly large, but beautifully laid out, with some amazingly mature specimens of trees and shrubs. An oasis of tranquility. The extreme northern end has several raised spots, offering nice views of the tops of the cathedral and the bell tower. The gift shop had some very nice items. I enjoyed the experience.
Alasdair M — Google review
Wow! What a lovely place to spend a couple of hours! We attended during October half term as a family of four; no charge for our 13y/o daughters, €12 for two adults with tickets to the museum and gardens. A great option if it’s a bit rainy as there are indoor cacti and ‘rain forest’ green houses as well as the museum itself. Gardens were lovely to walk through and the exhibits in the museum were absolutely stunning in their beauty and intricacy. A few of the reviews complain about the state of the plants looking half dead. I would guess that these visitors just happened to visit at a time when the plants were between seasons? Given that this place has been around for centuries and has a university faculty attached to it, I’m guessing the people who run the place DO actually know what they are doing in terms of managing the plants!! A peaceful option for any family with and autistic child preferring calmer places to explore. ⭐️❤️🌈
BlessedWithTwo — Google review
A good botanical garden that was worth the €4 admission fee. The plants were very well marked and labelled and I liked how it was laid out into two main areas based on style of garden. The greenhouses were hit or miss, some were closed and others felt quite cluttered and oppressive. The entrance was quite hard to locate, and it would be very nice if there was an alternate way in and out on Via Roma. Overall a good stop to get away from the tourist crowds and enjoy a nice day in Pisa.
Jacob S — Google review
The Pisa Botanical Garden has a rich history and an interesting concept, but unfortunately our visit was underwhelming. While the setting is peaceful and the idea of walking among rare species is appealing, the plants looked neglected, with several sick or even dead. It felt like the garden could use more care and attention to truly shine.
Christina N — Google review

This garden was created in 1544 and it’s the oldest botanic garden of the world even they changed place. Now the garden is owned and maintained by the Pisa university ! A worth visit ! Teatro Verdi is a historic theater in Pisa that has been an integral part of the city's cultural scene since 1867. The opulent architecture and lavish interior decorations make it a sight to behold, offering visitors a glimpse into the lives of Tuscan nobility. The theater hosts a variety of performances including opera, concerts, and plays, captivating audiences with its stunning ambiance and impressive acoustics.
It’s kind of a historic theater in Pisa and the biggest one in town. It has 700-800 seats from the ground floor up to the 5th floor. The building was well built and well maintained with acoustic resonance quality perfect for musical & theatrical performance. It housed some costumes from big artists in the past.

Excellent cosy bar with the most amazing and extensive drinks menu specialising in Rum. I'm not a rum drinker usually but I had the Coconut Ti Punch and it was gorgeous, zingy and refreshing. The owner is very creative with the memo. Drinks are really pretty. It’s a fun experience to try out if you ever pass through this little town.

Absolutely hands down my favorite building in Pisa !! The choices are unbelievable and customer service 100% ! Loved it something new an fresh an different well done guys !!

I came to Italy for the art! This little shot bar is cheap and has hundreds of different combinations based of things like Anime, Video Games, TV series and more. The man behind the counter somehow magically remembers all of these and manages to make them look related too whatever you choose. I ordered a God of War and it looked like KRATOS! Not much room inside although I think that the intended purpose is to take your shots and go!

Shots so well made. Infinite options to choose, impossible to try only one. Thanks from Brazil 🇧🇷

Piazza dei Cavalieri, also known as Knights' Square, is a Renaissance square in Pisa, Italy. It features a statue of Cosimo I de Medici, the first Grand Duke of Tuscany. The square is surrounded by notable landmarks such as the Medici Palace (Palazzo Vecchio), the Church of San Matteo and National Museum.
While most visitors flock to the Leaning Tower, a short walk away you'll find the Piazza dei Cavalieri, and it's absolutely worth seeing. This historic square is a stark contrast to the bustling crowds of the Piazza dei Miracoli, offering a more serene and equally impressive glimpse into Pisa's past. The centerpiece, the stunning Palazzo della Carovana, with its elaborate sgraffito decoration and the grand statue of Cosimo I de' Medici, is truly captivating. The architecture is magnificent, showcasing the power and influence of the Knights of St. Stephen. It's a fantastic spot to take some photos and soak in the history without the overwhelming crowds. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the chance to appreciate Pisa's less famous but equally beautiful landmarks. Don't miss it if you're in the area!

Piazza dei Cavalieri in Pisa is a stunning Renaissance square rich in history. Once a political center, it’s now home to the Scuola Normale Superiore. Highlights include the Palazzo della Carovana, the statue of Cosimo I, and Santo Stefano dei Cavalieri church. Quieter than the Leaning Tower area, it offers a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful architecture, perfect for a reflective visit or great photos.

Not much to do here but appreciate the great history and the beauty of this square and the architectural passion of the past. Sit have a coffee and head back in time

Nice and not so crowded piazza: the architecture and the narrow streets add to its charm.

Most visitors to Pisa seem to go to the Torre and then find a pizzaria to eat, and then leave. But if you walk around you'll find lovely places such as these with beautiful architecture, statues and fountains to appreciate.

Stunning Renaissance square with deep historical roots Once the political heart of medieval Pisa, this elegant open space was redesigned in the 16th century by Giorgio Vasari under Cosimo I de’ Medici’s vision to host the Knights of Saint Stephen . Today, it’s the seat of the prestigious Scuola Normale Superiore—and the vibe beautifully balances scholar calm with centuries-old grandeur
Akınalp F — Google review
Just a few streets west of the main route from the station to the tower, many tourists miss this Piazza. Known as the Knights’ Square, this piazza has served life as a political center and has been home to a bunch of Knights (St Stephen’s). In the center of the piazza, there is a statue of the Grand Duke of Tuscany, sculpted by Francavilla. Currently, it is the home of the Scuola Normale Superiore, commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte to be based on the model of the Ecole in Paris. The greatest Italian professors studied here, like Antonio Pacinotti, Carducci, Pascoli, Fermi and Rubbia. On the left, there is Palazzo dell’ Orologio, rebuilt on the foundations of two historic towers of the Della Gherardesca family. it is lined with splendidly decorated buildings, has for centuries been the political heart of Pisa and is the second most important square after The Square of Miracles. A visit to the Renaissance church of Santo Stefano dei Cavalieri will give you a real insight into the colorful maritime history of the city. These days the students have taken over the main building (Palace of the Caravan) is part of the city’s university.

The square was the old center of Pisa. In 1558 Giorgio Vasari rebuilt it. You can still see Vasari's sgrafitti and the 6 bists of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany. A lot of public events and concerts are often held there.

Cathedral
Catholic church
Cattedrale di Pisa, also known as the Cathedral of Pisa or Santa Maria Assunta, is a grand marble-striped cathedral famous for its ornate Romanesque bronze doors and a carved 1300s pulpit. Initially built as the freestanding bell tower for the nearby Duomo di Pisa, it began to lean due to unstable soil during construction in the 12th century.
After visiting Cathedral of Florence i was very surprised by interior decoration here. Very rich and beautiful in comparison to Florence. Spent more than 40min here to admire every detail. Paintings, statues, woodwork, mosaics, frescos, everything in superb condition like it wasn't build 900 years ago. Very pleasant surprise. It was beautifully restored in 2018.

Obviously I don't need to give you introduction to the place. There is dress code girls take a scarf with you to cover your shoulders or thighs. It is important to dress appropriately for a visit to a church, with rules against shorts and bare shoulders.
Karthika L — Google review
Stunning architecture and artwork in every single corner of this Cathedral, it truly feels like a holy place. Tickets to enter are free you need to go to ticket office to get them, not directly at the cathedral entrance. A must see if you are visiting the tower of Pisa is just beautiful.

Camposanto Monumentale, also known as the Monumental Cemetery of Pisa, is a stunning site located in Miracle Square. This elegant cemetery was built to house the graves of noble and illustrious citizens and features a rectangular gallery adorned with Roman sarcophagi and beautiful frescoes by renowned artists such as Taddeo Gaddi, Spinello Aretino, and Benozzo Gozzoli.
Constructed in 1278, the Camposanto was established to safeguard the burial sarcophagi that were in the Cathedral in a new building. As such, it has a collection of sarcophagi from Roman, medieval, and Renaissance times. It is decorated with an amazing collection of frescoes that you can see reconstructed in pictures in the museum. It was one of the first burial structures that became a museum. Worth a visit.
Manuel U — Google review
The cemetery where Pisa’s famous figures are buried is fascinating, especially because of the various epitaphs. The tombstones are engraved with intricate designs, reflecting the grief and remembrance of their families. There are also giant murals, making it well worth a visit.
Vienna — Google review
Very lovely to see. Not so crowded like the rest! Included in the ticket if you buy the ticket with everything included. On the wall there are some nice frescos and the tomb stones are magnificent to see.
Bob C — Google review
I highly recommend getting the ticket to include the Camposanto in your visit. From the exterior it is unimpressive but you will be amazed the minute you enter. It is an immense rectangular building partly open to the center lawn. There are beautiful frescos on the walls. Some of them a bit disturbing. You will see a satanic creature pulling a women's tongue out of her mouth. Gossip was considered a sin in medieval times. Many other frescos depict Biblical stories. The mathematician Leonardo Fabonacci 1170-1240 is buried here amount endless other notables. Their sarcophagie line the walls and their tombs are beneath the floor.
DK1981 — Google review
One of the most suggestive medieval cemeteries in Tuscany. Built like an abbey cloister, its walls are covered in grand frescoes depicting biblical scenes. The ground houses tombs of many Pisan notables, their coats of arms sculpted in marble.
Richard Z — Google review
It's a great place, quiet and peaceful even when there are a lot of people. The place literally breathes history, so to make it more interesting, take a guide or read about the place in advance.
Наталі Р — Google review
Easily the weirdest graveyard I've walked upon. Look at your feet. You get the feeling you're in a museum, but most frescoes are under your feet, which is weird, because they're rarely surrounded and honestly I worry that people will wear them off just walking over them. It is interesting, though I wish there was more to read and not just watch, but maybe nobody knows much.. ps: buy the combined ticket.

Tuttomondo, a vibrant masterpiece by the renowned American street artist Keith Haring, is a must-see gem nestled in Pisa. Just a stone's throw from the bustling Corso Italia and near the train station, this stunning mural spans an impressive 180 square meters on the wall of the Church of Sant Antonio Abate. Created in just four days back in 1989, it stands as Haring's final work before his untimely passing.
A friend found out this mural was the last Keith Haring completed prior to his death. We saw Pisa (yes, ooh-ahh it leans) we high tailed deeper into Pisa to enjoy the mural. It is located in a non descrip walk/Alley way and quite the marvel. While I'm not a huge fan of Haring, a mural like this is still astonishing.
Connie C — Google review
Keith Haring’s artwork is very famous, but I only delved deeper into his work after learning about this mural. Regardless, he expressed his ideas in a more accessible way. Unfortunately, he only lived to be 31 years old.
Vienna — Google review
A vibrant and inspiring mural by Keith Haring, painted in 1989 on the rear wall of the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate. “Tuttomondo” (All the World) features 30 interlocking figures symbolizing themes of peace, unity, and harmony. It’s one of Haring’s last public works and a must-see for art enthusiasts visiting Pisa.
Paul P — Google review
Often overshadowed by the iconic Leaning Tower, the Keith Haring Mural in Pisa, Tuscany (titled "Tuttomondo," meaning "All World") is a truly monumental and frequently overlooked gem that deserves far more recognition. Located on the exterior wall of the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate, just a short walk from the central station, it's a vibrant explosion of color and movement that stands in stark contrast to the ancient surroundings, yet somehow feels perfectly at home. This massive mural, completed by Haring in 1989 just a year before his untimely death, is not just a beautiful piece of street art; it's a powerful testament to Keith Haring's immense importance to the modern art scene. Haring was a pioneer who broke down the rigid barriers between "high art" and popular culture, democratizing art and bringing it directly to the people. His instantly recognizable, bold-lined figures, often conveying messages of unity, peace, and social justice, became a universal language. He tackled pressing issues of his time – from AIDS awareness to anti-apartheid and drug abuse – making complex topics accessible through his joyous yet profound imagery. "Tuttomondo" itself embodies this philosophy. It's a joyful dance of interconnected figures, symbolizing peace and harmony, a universal message that resonates just as strongly today. It’s one of Haring's few outdoor public works intended for permanent display, making its presence in Pisa even more significant. For anyone with an appreciation for contemporary art, or simply those curious about how art can transcend boundaries and communicate powerful messages, seeking out the Keith Haring Mural is an absolute must. It's a vibrant, living piece of history that speaks volumes about an artist who profoundly shaped how we view public art and its potential for social commentary. Don't let it be overlooked – it's a brilliant and moving sight in the heart of Tuscany!
Andrew S — Google review

It’s a nice bar with cheap buffet and good drinks, but just for all tourists: be aware that the €2 fee for the buffet is added to each drink you get. Live music venue
Arno Vivo is a popular spot in Pisa, located under the Victoria Bridge. It hosts an outdoor music festival throughout the summer, offering live music and DJs from late May to September. The venue provides a great place to gather with friends, enjoy cocktails, and listen to good music while taking in the beautiful sunset over the Arno River. The bar offers a variety of drinks and snacks, including excellent spritz and three types of hamburgers.
Great location along the river Arno, excellent spritz! They offer only hamburger (3 types), haven't tried. They opened at 7pm (though on Google Maps it says 6), you have to provide your data (name + phone number) at the entry, a covid related requirement.

We just pass by the bar . They look okay, music , dancing . The view is very nice to see sunset in Pisa. Along the bridge , Pisa river side got similar place like that but it’s is look the busier at 12 pm you will see even busier there. Pisa drinking price is good price compare other tourist area.

The place is fantastic, right on the riverbank, with great ambiance and just a good vibe in general. The staff are really nice, and the food is just amazing! Their smash burger made weep literal tears of joy! My friend also loved their vegan burger!

It really is a nice place to hang out during summer time in Pisa. Located at the edge of Arno River you may enjoy sunsets view with cold beer, spritz, and other drinks and snacks. I didn’t try the food or snacks so I couldn’t say much about it, but it was a nice place to relax.

Awesome place for a summer night. Cocktail/drink choice is ok, nothing crazy, but atmosphere totally compensates: ocasional live music, chairs in the sand overlooking the river, shisha and lots of locals hanging out.

A beautiful walk along the Arno River that captures the charm of Pisa. The Lungarni are lined with historic buildings, quaint cafés, and striking views, especially around sunset. Perfect for a peaceful stroll or a photo break away from the crowds near the Leaning Tower.

The Lungarni di Pisa offers pleasant riverside walks with some charming views of the Arno and historic buildings. While it’s nice for a gentle stroll, we found it a bit quieter and less lively than expected, with fewer cafés and shops along the way. Worth seeing, but not a highlight.

If you're looking for a vibrant spot to indulge in Italy's beloved Spritz cocktails, look no further than Spritzmania! This lively bar offers an impressive selection of flavors, from the refreshing limoncello to the tropical coconut spritz. The atmosphere is perfect for unwinding with friends or simply enjoying a drink by the river in Pisa. With an easy-to-use QR code menu, ordering your favorite drinks is a breeze—though you'll need to head to the bar for payment.
Great little bar by the river. Spritz offers were great, and the food (we didn't have any) looked good as it went past. Many deals, great staff and nice vibes. Recommend 😊✨

Happy to say that this great little bar is now my ‘local’ 😊. I enjoy aperitivo here most days, when I’m in Pisa! Great location for drinks and food and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Great vibe, highly recommended!
Gren M — Google review
Nice open space to have drinks with a lively atmosphere. Loads of spritz and cocktails to choose from. Think it's around €5-7 a spritz. The Midori spritz and Japanese Iced Tea were my favourites. The other half can't get enough of the coconut spritz. Easy ordering experience using QR code. You do have to pay at the bar though rather than through the site. Drinks arrived quickly despite the busy time. If you want to use the bathroom, you'll need to hold on to your ticket and make your way to the opposite side of the square into 'Mojito Mania' which must be their other shop. Just one bathroom serving multiple businesses which can get busy to expect a queue!
Harv D — Google review
The first time I went there , I was fascinated with the awesome atmosphere: staying and sipping some drinks at a very lively historical square, by the river , right at the very heat of the old city... And after trying their food it was an extra plus... I can frankly say it's the best place in town for an Apericena

Fun drinks with extensiiive choice for spritz (which yes aren’t just your usual aperol spritzes if you love to be a hater who’s into so-called traditions). Piazza Chiara Gambacorti, also known as Piazza della Pera, is a favorite spot for people-watching in Pisa. The square is named after a pear-shaped Etruscan monument and is bustling with activity. In the morning, it hosts a lively vegetable market, while in the evening, its dive bars attract a vibrant student crowd. It's an excellent place for a relaxed aperitivo experience and offers a quieter alternative to the main tourist streets.
Stopped here for a coffee while in Pisa, the coffee was very good and it was so much quieter than on the main street up to the landmarks. A very nice place for a breather and some peace and quiet.

Located in the Square of Miracles, Battistero di San Giovanni is a stunning medieval baptistery that often goes unnoticed next to its towering neighbors. This round building boasts an impressive interior with a baptism font at its center and offers a unique vantage point from its top floor overlooking the cathedral. Constructed in the 12th century in Romanesque style, it features Gothic and Renaissance influences as well.
It was my first time visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and I honestly didn’t expect it to be so impressive. It was much bigger than I imagined, and the whole experience felt magical. Seeing it in real life is truly something special—it’s definitely a must-see! The atmosphere around the tower is lively and full of charm. A unique landmark that leaves a lasting impression

Such a beautiful place. We were lucky that the choir began singing while we were on the upper level and the acoustics were incredible. The sound seemed to come from every direction at once. The building is well maintained and the crowds not bad at all. Don't just come to see the tower. This chapel is a must visit

Didn't have a time for visit this place but from pictures i saw it seems quite empty inside and very simple. From outside its quite impressive though, 55 m high and 107 m in circumference, one of the largest in the World. Echo inside is very unique and its worth to hear the crew demonstration of this exquisite acoustic every 30min.

Visiting the Battistero di San Giovanni was an unforgettable experience that left me in awe of its rich history and breathtaking architecture. The intricate details of the interior, from the gilded ceiling to the marble columns, showcase centuries of artistry and devotion. Standing beneath the frescoes, I felt a deep connection to the cultural and spiritual heritage that this place represents. Despite the crowds, the atmosphere inside remained reverent and inspiring, offering a true sense of serenity. This landmark is not only a masterpiece of design but also a living testament to Florence’s enduring legacy

The Baptistery of Saint John (Italian: Battistero di San Giovanni) is a baptistery in Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa. It is an outstanding monument of Italian Romanesque and Gothic architecture and sculpture. Construction began in 1152 and was completed in 1363. Chronologically, it is a later structure than the Pisa Cathedral and an earlier one than the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Guliola L — Google review
It was a great place to see along with the rest of the monuments in the plaza. Fair warning, beware of the people selling things that are not at a stand. If the police are walking around they will hide what they are selling and close their bags and head the opposite direction. It is really comical. The building itself has a lot of history and the inside is beautiful.

Gusto al 129 is a delicious pizza restaurant in Pisa, Italy. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! While there isn’t much other than pizza on the menu, the pizza is very light and delicious! I ordered the mozzarella, yellow, and red tomatoes pizza - so light and easy to devour. I got the pistachio cheesecake after. It wasn’t my favorite and it made me regret not choosing the house made tiramisu. They also have a selection of beers. I had a light wheat beer and it paired well with my simple pizza. Overall, it was a good dining experience and I would come back again the next time I visit Pisa!

The place is super nice & comfy & quite (for a pizza place 🤭) so it’s a recommended place to meet up with friends or date 😏. They have selection of wine & beer to compliment the dinner. They have indoor seating only with AC. The staffs are super nice and they could speak in English in case you need some explanation. Notes: makes sure to book in advanced especially if you want to come on Friday night & weekend bcz it’s always full. Not sure if they accept a very big group booking, but a group if 8 people still convenient to have.

The Best Pizza in Pisa – and the Nutella Pizza is a Dream! If you’re in Pisa and craving authentic Italian pizza, this place is hands down the best you’ll find. Every bite tastes fresh, perfectly baked, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is warm and welcoming, and you can feel the love they put into their food. But the true star of the menu? The Nutella pizza. It’s absolutely unforgettable – a crispy, golden crust topped with rich, melted Nutella that makes every bite pure heaven. It’s the perfect sweet ending after a classic pizza meal, and honestly, worth the trip on its own. I’ve tried pizza in many places across Italy, but this spot in Pisa is simply unbeatable. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop here. You won’t regret it!

Great pizza! Some of the best I have had here in Italy. They came recommended by a local artist we bought a piece from near the Cathedral. They opened at 7:00 - right when we arrived. I was super surprised that the first words out of their mouth when walking into the restaurant (which was completely empty) were “do you have a reservation?” Hesitatingly they sat us at a small table but said we would need to be done by 8. I guess the place must be packed by that time. Service was nice and quick otherwise. I would definitely eat there again.

Really enjoyed our evening here and would go back again. Staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient. There were only three waitresses but they worked really well together while still finding time to answer any questions about the menu. Ravioli were superb, as was the wild boar. Our hotel recommended this restaurant so we gave it a try. They have meat, seafood and vegetarian 4 courses menu to choose from. You can even change some of the dishes if you want. Very friendly staff and quick service. They didn’t leave the impression that if you don’t order wine, then they will treat you differently. Not every dishes are good. Pizzeria Il Montino is a charming and historic pizza place located in the heart of Pisa. Nestled in a maze of alleys near Piazza dei Cavalieri, this century-old establishment has garnered numerous awards for its exceptional food. Despite its accolades, the pizzeria maintains a humble and inviting atmosphere, where locals and students gather to savor their renowned chickpea flatbreads and delectable pizzas.
Overall great food and nice staff! Had cecina for the first time and it was delicious (although I did have to blot off excess oil for my personal preference) — perfect texture and clean simple taste. Also got the Pisan pizza which had the perfect balance of cheese and tomato sauce (not like how overly heavy it tends to be in the US). The bottom was crispy yet the bread was still very soft. I don’t normally like capers but they were great to offset the saltiness of the anchovies. Would recommend!
Cathy W — Google review
The food here was delicious! Ordering the food was a bit confusing though. We arrived right when the restaurant opened according to Google maps, but the staff were only starting to set the restaurant up. They began putting out tables and chairs, etc. a line formed so we lined up but as we got to the front (which took a while since the line was long) they told us for dine-in eating, we had to find a table outside. Since we spent all our time in line there were limited tables but we managed to find one. After that, it took a while for the servers to get to us and give us our food. They were nice about it and attentive, but the service was just too confusing and not well explained for someone who is not a local. Overall, the food was really good, not too salty, very flavourful and felt authentic for the pisa area.
Laura W — Google review
We stopped at Pizzeria Trattoria Il Montino while visiting Pisa and tried their famous chickpea flour flatbread called cecina, which is made with chickpea flour, olive oil, and salt water. It was really good, warm, simple, and crispy on the edges, but after watching the pizzas come out of the wood-fired oven I truly wish I had ordered one instead. The oven itself was amazing and the man behind the counter, who only spoke Italian, told us through our guide that the fire inside has not gone out since the late 1800s and that the dome is still the original to the location. He even said it is the oldest wood-fired oven still in use in Italy, which made the experience feel so special and authentic. The pizza looked absolutely incredible and I could tell it would have been worth every bite. I really wish we had stayed in Pisa for another day so I could have come back to try the pizza. If you are anywhere near Pisa, definitely stop by for a slice of history and what looks like some of the best pizza around.
William M — Google review
A small, traditional Pisan pizzeria with Italian pan pizza. Not the thin Napolitan pizza (which is also nice)! If you know, then these are very tasty indeed. Served with a crispy crust and loads of tomato sauce, the pizze are made by artisans and they are all you could wish for when visiting a busy place like Pisa. Also interesting: the mottos and photos on the walls.
Titus N — Google review
Pretty awesome place. The owners were kind enough to give us an indoor table on a rainy day (indoor section was not open yet). The pizza was awesome and we also got a corn based dish (can't remember the name) which was great as well. Nice cozy place. Loved the artwork on the wall as well sculptures made out of old circuits. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of Montino Osteria-Pizzeria, Pisa 🇮🇹 Some meals are delicious. Some are memorable. And then some — like what I experienced at Montino Osteria-Pizzeria — feel like a rite of passage. Tucked away in the heart of Pisa, this wood-fired haven came highly recommended by the person I’m renting from, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Let’s talk about the star of the show: cecina. I had never tried it before, but now I’m wondering how I’ve lived this long without it. Cecina is a thin, golden flatbread made from chickpea flour, olive oil, water, and salt — then baked in a blazing wood-fired oven until it’s perfectly crisp on the edges and luxuriously soft in the center. A dusting of black pepper is all it needs to make your eyes close involuntarily on that first bite. Oh, and did I mention it only cost 2 euro? That’s not a price — that’s daylight robbery in your favor. A dish this iconic, this flavorful, this transportive — for less than a cup of coffee? It felt like Pisa was giving me a warm, golden edible hug. Sure, the wait was long. But the air was thick with the scent of toasting chickpea batter and smoldering olive wood — a perfume that made time stand still and hunger turn into poetry. Montino isn’t just a place to eat. It’s where Tuscany whispers its secrets through flavor. Don’t miss it. Don’t question it. Just go — and order the cecina. Twice.
Marcus R — Google review
AMMAZZA!! What a wonderful find. We arrived at lunch with a big queue, which we accidentally skipped through. Do not let this put you off, you will regret it if you do. You've gotta get the cecina 🤌🏽 it's like a soft chickpeaflour omelette, and mio dio is it something special. There's a serious oven in there going back 6foot, so please order yourself a pizza. We had the margherita, it was both soft, crunchy and wildly delizioso. There are loads of different focaccia options so don't be afraid to ask for help. Italian boss man was very friendly. Although our Italian was non existent and their English was limited, they are still helpful. Bonus is the Italian banter, so sit on the stools inside if you get a chance to soak up the atmosfera. Finally if you like red wine, get the one pictured here. Divino.

A busy and popular pizzeria. Make a reservation ahead of time if you can. The pizza was very good in its simplicity, with crust on the thicker side. The cecina was also good. Wonderful spot for a casual meal while visiting Pisa!

This was the best value meal we had in Italy and it was delicious too. They do the pasta in half portions too so we could try more. Great food, good service. Portions are on the slightly smaller side, but everything tastes delicious and the wait staff are lovely. Nice spot for a date or for a quiet dinner with friends away from the more tourist-filled centre.

I went here with my best-friend on our little trip through Tuscany. The restaurant is really stylish, but in my opinion a bit too minimalistic. They received us with a glass of Blanc de Blancs: delicious! And very kind of course They have a really nice menu with super fresh ingredients. For starter we had a fresh raw fish plate and 3 different fish tartare plate : both of high quality but I'm not very keen of fruit with my dish, which the tartare all had. Afterwords we had spaghetti with blu lobster and shellfish sauce ( suuuuper nice ) and a kind of ravioli filled with octopus and a local red shrimp sauce ( also excellent ). Nice wine menu and the overall experience was great! Grazie!

"Al Vecchio Braciere" is a charming, family-run restaurant in Pisa that offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It's popular among locals and visitors alike for its delicious steak, pizza, and Tuscan specialties. The staff is friendly and accommodating, often providing English menus for international guests. The food is highly praised, with great pasta dishes, meats, and house wine. Visitors appreciate the excellent service and the cozy ambiance of the restaurant.
Very cute local place. The staff was so kind even though our Italian is very bad. The food was delicious. I can highly recommend this very authentic place.

I was quite surprised in this restaurant that I chose during my stay in Pisa. First I had to wait a little, but then the food came. The pasta with octopus and tomatoes. I realised that this was going to be a tough game. The food was great, the portion was huge and I only managed to finish it thanks to the natural water. Worth every euro spent. Definitely recommend to visit and try it here. It's great.

I’ve been to this restaurant quite a few times in 2024 and 2025 and the food was always good. I went again in September 2025, tragically the taste of the meat was not good quality did not match what was served previously. I could not finish the food. A waste, and the food made me queasy. Great service but sadly the quality has reduced in this most recent visit.
Wayne K — Google review
Disappointed, I can't agree with the other reviews. First of all, the venue isn't clean. The windows are filthy (see picture) which sets a bad mood to start with. The only dishes that were good were "easy" ones that can be pre-pepared, e.g. the gnocchi. Things that required skill where disappointing. The grilled meat for example was overcooked - dry and charred beyond what is normal for grilled meat. The chocolote-dipped strawberries we got "as a gift" after eating were half rotten. The service was friendly, but that is really the only positive thing I can say about this restaurant.

The service was excellent, and the staff were very accommodating and gave us menus in English. The food and wine were also amazing and the ambience was fantastic. A great dining experience in the quieter part of Pisa.

Food is hit and miss. We had ravioli (which was very nice) and a mixed grill that I'm not sure my dog would have eaten. All bone, gristle, and dry as a Saudi's sandle. Prices seemed ok, and the drinks were good. When I complained, the mood turned sour. My offer of refunding my meal, and me giving it back to the staff as a tip, was met with "you've had the meal, you pay the price". I think I'll send them a cookbook, once I've finished picking the meat out of my teeth. My rating 2/10

Ristorante Buca di San Ranieri is a charming restaurant located in the heart of Pisa. The restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience with a focus on attention to detail and quality service. Visitors have praised the delicious seafood dishes, such as seppia with chard and risotto with seafood, describing them as some of the best they've ever had. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect choice for those looking to avoid crowded tourist spots.
Had an excellent meal at this restaurant. Started with the Antipasti Toscano, then a wonderful ravioli in truffe sauce dish and finished with tiramisu. I opted to sit outside as it was a warm evening - this may not have been the wisest decision as I picked up a couple of bites, but it was pleasant. Service was, at times, a little slow but I was also the first customer so things possibly needed to 'get going'. Definitely recommend.

San Piero a Grado is a Romanesque Catholic church located on the road to Pisa's marina, away from the city center. It was built on the ancient port of Pisa where St. Peter is believed to have landed in Italy in 44 AD. The church has undergone construction and modifications over two centuries and features vibrant frescoes lining its interior. According to legend, it stands at the site where St.
It was a beautiful experience for me when I visited this historic site. It is a church that has stood for over a thousand years. In it the beautiful architecture of ancient times is appreciated. According to history, the site of the church was a harbour whose water was driven away and filled with sand with the course of time. Again, Saint Peter was said to have passed there. Interesting for me is the preservation of the older building inside the church. It's a beautiful place to be. The surrounding is well kept and taken care of. Across the road, is a school (kindergarten) owned by the school and now managed by the sisters of Immaculate Conception.

What makes a historical building even greater? A good story. Here, acording to the legend, St. Peter stepped on the land of Italy (Roman empire back then) for the first time and built the first altar in Italy in 43AD🥲 As a reminder of that feat a church was built here in 4th century and later a basilica in 11th, which you can admire today. There are still doing some excavations in it but you can admire old architecture and frescoes. There should be a portrait of all popes till 14th century above the columns of pilars. No tickets here, but need to be creative about parking. Limited number of them.

The museum it has exhibitions mainly devoted to sacred art from the 12th to the 16th century, the origins indicate a great influence of Byzantium. The subsequent epochs of the Italian Renaissance were marked by art characterized by a more natural appearance of figures.

This is a small museum full of items from local churches and historical sites, based in an old church complex. Exquisite. Even if you are not particularly into early mediaeval religious art, this museum will still take your breath away. I never appreciated how talented and important the artists of Pisa were in the 11th to 14th century. When Pisa was invaded in 1405, the artists of Florence and Lombardy took over. The style changed. Beautifully presented in this old former convent, for me this was an unexpected highlight of my visit to Pisa.

The Fontana dei Putti, also known as the Fountain with Angels, is a charming marble fountain located in Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa. Dating back to the 17th century, this beautiful monument served as a vital water source for the locals. Sculpted by Giovanni Antonio Cybei, it features statues of children and adds to the picturesque setting near the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Cathedral of Pisa.
Our tour guide said to meet by the angel fountain next to the Leaning Tower. This is more of a lovely statue than fountain now since there was no water in it. It is a good landmark for meeting people. Ancient Ruins
The Baths of Nero, also known as Bagni di Nerone, are an ancient archaeological site dating back to the 1st century AD. Although much of the original complex has been lost, visitors can still admire remnants of marble and mosaics. The baths were connected to the Caldaccoli aqueduct which supplied water to the complex. Once a bustling social and recreational center in ancient Pisa, these Roman baths offer a fascinating glimpse into history.
Roughly 2000 years ago the great Roman emperor Nero had his stuff sorted during 100 B.C. These ruins are the visible remains of his private spa and wellness. Nowadays it is a nice piece of decoration for Pisa's best food court! After cycling and strolling the entire city multiple times with the key objective to finding some fine Italian Cuisine, this Bath of Nero ruine turns out to be the ancient Pin on the map. Amidst Pizzeria Le Mura and We Love Pasta there is simply no better place in town that offers this value for money. Stop searching and surrender yourself to the 10m radius of the structure and your culinary needs as well as your holiday trip to Pisa will be completed.

Catholic church
Parrocchia di San Nicola is an 11th-century Romanesque church located in Pisa, Italy. The church features a distinctive tilting octagonal bell tower and a facade adorned with geometric mosaics. It is part of the rich ecclesiastical heritage of Pisa, where visitors can explore numerous medieval churches.
Really nice church, there was a mass at 9 on Sunday morning.
Mardzerin M — Google review
Didn't visit the church itself, just stop by to see the inclination of the octagonal bell tower. Bell tower (from 12th century) is one of the three bell towers that has an inclination, after famous Pisa tower and another tower of the church outside the city - Chiesa San Michele degli Scalzi. The tower was once separated from the building and its base is under the street level now. Inclination is very mild but still visible, tilting is towards the street and river Arno.
Tomi V — Google review
All the people of the community church are truely approachable and really friendly even to extracommunitary...the Saturday night mass...i love it so much all the people are participating even the small children.
Ursula A — Google review
This is actually a really interesting place. Unfortunately as with a lot of Pisa it is not so welcoming for tourists. There is some fascinating history, the picture attached tells the story.
Richandjulie A — Google review
A must see in Pisa, an old church, with plenty of arts inside, but, with an alive community, ready to host you. If you should decide to visit it, before or after your visit, it doesn't matter, sit down, keep calm, take away any thought, close your eyes and look for the Lord: he's waiting for you to give you peace and love for free...
Eugenio C — Google review
Outside it is looking beautiful but we couldn't get in because it was closed.

Cocktail bar
Bar
Baribaldi Pisa is a small and unpretentious bar that opens at 6 pm every evening, offering a wide selection of drinks and excellent meat platters. The owner, Tommaso, is known for his amiable nature and skill in creating spot-on cocktails. Visitors can enjoy their drinks at the ten outdoor tables while people-watching in the nearby piazza bordering the Arno. The bar's signature cocktail, Pornocello, is highly recommended by patrons.
My girlfriend & I found Baribaldi via TripAdvisor & ended up visiting most evenings as their Pornocello (with extra cherries on request) is delicious. We tried several other cocktails during our 10 day holiday, but although they were all nice, none were as good as this Pornocello, which was fruity & quite sweet, which I loved. The owners were always very friendly, although only he spoke English, but he always gave me extra cherries when he knew I liked them! You can sit & people-watch whilst enjoying your drinks. You also always get a complementary board of cheese/meat/savories on your table to enjoy for free. Don't miss this bar or you'll be disappointed.

Good reviews, we decided to sit. And then a very thoughtful owner took care of us and our son. The cocktails were really good, made from the heart and tasty. The view toward the south part of the city was a plus. Definitely recommend!
Roselyne L — Google review
You want good cocktails? Come here! Just tell the owner what you want or order from the menu. If you like piccante try the Calabria 😜
Christian T — Google review
I visited two days in a row — the hospitality and cocktails were top-notch. You can enjoy your drinks while watching the street. I tried the Negroni, Espresso Martini, and Red Hook; I especially recommend the Negroni.
Alpgiray K — Google review
Spent an evening at Baribaldi a couple of weeks ago- fabulous cocktails and snacks. Great atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Christabel G — Google review
The staff here are super welcoming and speak English, which makes things easy. I had a Hugo Spritz and my wife went for an alcohol-free cocktail — both were nice. Prices are average, nothing crazy. They also have a covered terrace outside, so we could stay dry from the rain while still enjoying our drinks. Overall, a good spot for a casual stop.
Jean C — Google review
Really good drinks and just overall a lovely place. I really wanted to go here and was not dissapointed. The man who worked there was super nice and efficient and you can easily see he loves his job, and that made the experience even better. 10/10 would deffinitly reccoment and will probably go back someday

Although I was the only one who ordered a Sangria, which was excellent by the way, the rest of the family bought ice cream next door, we were all welcomed at their table. They brought me a plate with appetizers for the Sangria, the others a glass of water, napkins, smiles and goodwill. It was the first day of my vacation and I felt very good at their place. I recommend it for a moment of rest!

Bazeel Pisa is a versatile spot where you can enjoy Italian coffee, breakfast, and lunch in the mornings and afternoons. In the evening, it transforms into a lively venue offering food, wine, cocktails, and music from a DJ. The place has a cool vibe that allows visitors to spend an entire day there if they wish. Guests recommend trying the Daisy pizza with its exceptional crust and appreciate the friendly service.
Great place with great staff, very friendly and there's always a good atmosphere here.

Fine food, simple but good, price ok, has bathroom and is next to a great gelateria.
Jana O — Google review
The first night we went was during the happy hour. Prices were reasonable but the happy hour food was not good. We came back the next night and ordered a Bazeel pizza from the menu. The pizza was really good and the service was good too. The outdoor patio was nice. Overall, a good experience.
Ryan H — Google review
Took 25-30 minutes to get two drinks out to us, and the place was empty inside and only a handful of people outside. The waitress kept looking at us so she obviously knew we hadn't received our drinks yet but still carried on serving other people/ cleaning tables. Would have happily stayed for a couple more drinks if the service wasn't so slow.
Alistair ( — Google review
Packed full of university students, this place attracts the worst crowd, but is not much different than any other nightclub you might visit. The owner is unfriendly and gruff. The bartenders would rather be anywhere else. The DJs are not worth mentioning. Good for beer pong nights and their very decent aperitivo. One of the guys working there MCs - he's the nicest guy in there and always happy to see you. Otherwise unremarkable locale.

We stopped here for Pizza at the terras outside yesterday. My daughters, wife and I were all in agreement that this was a great place: very friendly waitresses, very affordable and on top of that very good quailty. We recommend this to anyone looking for a good place to have a great freshly baked pizza.Thumbs up!

Italian" & "buffet" doesn't usually go together but because they use good ingredients and make everything from scratch, I understand that this is the model that works for them. There is a choice of starters, then pastas and meats, and of course desserts. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The service was very good. Our waitress, Veronica was adorable, very friendly and efficient. Our food was very good, price was fair.

Nestled just a short 12-minute drive from Galileo Galilei Airport, Fattoria L'Olmetto Villa is an inviting retreat that combines comfort with convenience. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property, along with amenities such as free parking, live performances, and an on-site restaurant serving delightful local cuisine. The accommodations feature spacious rooms adorned with elegant tile flooring.
The entire complex is perfect for anyone looking to stay close to Pisa Airport, like ourselves, but not wanting to be in the city. They provide a free shuttle service to and from the airport. The meals and service in the restaurant (which you must book in advance) were top class. There was very little not to like, just minor little things that we did not bother to say anything to the management about. The batteries in the air conditioning remote control were flat, but it was past midnight when trying to use it, and it was our last night in the hotel, so the reason why we never mentioned it to the great staff. The quilt for the bed was still a little too warm to our liking when using, a light blanket or throw over the bed sheet would have been more suitable in our opinion.
Brian C — Google review
Excellent camper stop if you plan to visit Pisa. Close bus stop. Spots are big enough with electricity and plumbing. The staff is very friendly.
Milen G — Google review
We loved this hotel. It was so pretty. The grounds look like a wedding venue. The room was perfect with everything we needed. Only downside is you need some muscles 💪🏼 No elevator. The staff was meh. They seemed not to enjoy their jobs. Breakfast was good but the lady serving was mega slow with coffee. She had it done after I finish my breakfast and it wasn’t what we ordered. You need a car to stay here. And check out is early. The maid was knocking on our door before the time was even up.
Monica E — Google review
We have spent only one night here and everything was ok. The staff was very friendly and effective and the room was clean and with a good size. The bathroom could use an update but that is only related to personal taste not to it's effectiveness. The soundproofing is not ideal, we could hear the other guests of the hotel talking and the chairs being dragged in the restaurant but luckily during the night everything was quiet so we could enjoy a good night sleep. The location of the hotel is just outside Pisa which for us was very practical, being able to get there in under 10-15 minutes by car (parking is available at the hotel). The outside garden is well kept and the restaurant looks good. We had breakfast included and it had good variety in terms of food/pastry/fruit. Overall it was a good experience
Simona R — Google review
Can't really say what the place is like because we were rudely refused to stay. We had called earlier that day to ask if it was possible to stay on their camper greens with a tent for one night and were told it was no problem at all. When arriving by bicycle at nightfall, we were told it was absolutely impossible and the staff was completely uncooperative. Why even bother calling if you can rely on the simplest of information.
Rebekka W — Google review
Rooms were great, spacious, modern and clean. Only thing we could have wished for was a kettle. Staff was a bit pushy and seemed like they didn't have time for you. The included breakfast was satisfactory but nothing out of the ordinary, with minor items missing. Checking out was the main issue, we were there 7am sharp and there was noone to check us out though that was their own stated checkout times. As per location I would highly recommend booking if you also have booked or brought your own car as walking to and from the bus stops are a bit precarious.
Nicki H — Google review
We stayed for one night at a very nice room with comfortable beds and a big bathroom. Traditional interior and everything was clean and tidy. The big street was a bit noisy with opened windows but ok. We had dinner in the outside area of their restaurant. There were two service people completely over challenged. The orders where mixed up, no numbers on the tables and the service lady never knew where to bring the drinks. Tables weren’t cleaned up and despite some people were waiting for their first drinks for one hour and already complained about this the service was nearly strolling without any clue what to do or where to go. Never saw an unorganized service like this before. The meat and cheese plate was OK… couscous and pasta salad tasted stale. So I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant.
Vio S — Google review
Simply amazing! Great location with very tasteful food (cheese and meat platter). The service was also perfect! The camping site is well kept and highly recommended for a stop when visiting Pisa. Walking distance (~3.5km) to the city centre and the tower. Highly recommended!

Pizzeria Trattoria La Buca is a beloved spot offering authentic Pisan cuisine and a cozy atmosphere. It's known for its homestyle dishes, including the quintessential Tuscan dish Bistecca alla Fiorentina, a succulent T-bone steak perfectly grilled and seasoned. The restaurant provides an unforgettable dining experience with traditional flavors of Tuscan cuisine made from fresh local produce.
I had an amazing dining experience at this Italian restaurant. The lasagna was rich, flavorful, and perfectly layered — truly one of the best I’ve ever had. The pizza was equally impressive, with a crisp crust, fresh ingredients, and that authentic wood-fired taste. The service was friendly and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Italian flavors!

Is a good value with decent service restaurant, for the food the pastas are great especially the seafood pasta and carbonara spaghetti as to the pizza the tomato mozzarella cheese and the seafood Pizza are wonderful but the anchovies one are extremely salty Overall is cheap and the food are decently value.
Bruce L — Google review
It is located in a moody, quiet little place, which is very attractive for the guests. But apart from that, we didn't experience anything good. The foods only look like good 😞 The Calamari Fritti was chewy, we tried for a long time and then we gave up. There was problem with spicies on the pasta, there were closed mussels. The french fries was full with a lot of oil. We should have try the pizzas instead of these.

Dont understand the bad reviews. Good restaurant if you want shadow from the sun. Ordered 3 pizzaz, all really nice. Pasta Carbonara (15,5€)was very good, a lot of pepper and bacon. Overall good price and service
Rickard T — Google review
Worse food I ever had. I did order their traditional soup and no taste whatsoever, just a bunch of vegetables. The bread probably one week old. And after for main i had carbonara which was disgusting and the yolk still raw and like soup more than to be creamy.
Andreea R — Google review
Very sad to see such poor reviews. The staff were attentive and funny. They were not overly attentive and let you have a conversation and a good time without interjection. Typical European service where you ask for the bill etc. Nothing out of the norm. Food was lovely and came quick.

Torre Guelfa, a 15th-century tower located in Pisa, Italy, offers visitors a glimpse into the city's rich history. Originally built to control the river route into the city, it now provides stunning views of the coast and San Rossore natural park from its top. The tower also houses coats of arms of prominent Pisan families and is part of a redevelopment project that includes an arts and events space.
It is open for free. In the beginning i thought it was closed. So i went into the exhibition nearby and when i was coming down i saw a door on 1st or 2nd floor and it was connected to the torre. The view is amazing and there were no other people when i went there.

Torre Guelfa, located in the historic center of Pisa, is a medieval tower that offers visitors a glimpse into the city’s rich history. Once part of the city’s defensive walls, the tower stands as a testament to Pisa’s medieval past. Today, it is an intriguing landmark, with its distinctive architecture and historic significance. Visitors can climb the tower for panoramic views of the surrounding city, including the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. It’s a great spot for history enthusiasts and those looking to experience a quieter side of the city’s iconic landmarks.

Terrible chaotic organisation - no opening hours. We came with children - some staff was on site, on of them told us it's open and we can comein, another rude one interrupted and said it's closed and he doesn't want visitors. Strange, not friendly, run down.

Really interesting exhibition space with great views across the river and city. When we arrived there was a free exhibition by the local artist Massimiliano Precisi. You can also walk up some of the external steps to view the river from different angles.

Milan C — Google review
The Guelph Tower stands in the Old Citadel of Pisa , one of the areas richest in history of the city; built in the 15th century, its unmistakable profile has attracted the attention of those walking along the Lungarni for centuries . Here, at the beginning of the 13th century, the Pisan Republic brought together its intense shipbuilding activities in a single space. The area, then called Tersana, from reef (the smallest of the three lateen sails of the galleys), was affected by impressive works and in 1264 the new republican arsenal, in addition to the storage areas and docks, also included a small church dedicated to Saint Barbara and Reparata. What remains of the medieval structures today are the brick arches inserted in the defense wall along the Arno .
