Ristoro Pecorino is a delightful traditional trattoria that embodies the essence of Italian dining, making it an ideal stop for pasta lovers exploring the area near the Leaning Tower of Pisa—just a short stroll away. With its charming outdoor seating featuring vintage metal tables and folding chairs, you can soak in the local atmosphere while enjoying your meal. Inside, you'll find a modern twist with artistic chalk drawings celebrating nearby landmarks.
Pretty good. Tasty enough food (not large portions). Better than we thought considering it was so close to the tourist area. Very pleasant and comfortable vibe. Clean and quick to bring food out. Staff were nice enough. They turned on some soft mist sprinklers while we were there (26°c).
Pheona B — Google review
We had a vegetable and fish platter, salad, pecorino bruschetta and fried seafood. The food is very tasty and beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere of the entire restaurant is good. The only complaint is the excessive price of the service per person - 5 €.

I loved this place! We arrived at the place without reservation and we were all set within about 5 minutes. The servers are excellent, friendly and have a good sense of humour. The menu options are abundant and varied, offering a good variety of typical Tuscan flavours and specialties. The food is good and well presented, although portions could be a little bigger, but then again, the price also reflects the portion size. Attention is also given to specific dietary requirements and also kids' portions/options. Our experience at this place was very satisfying, also considering that the location very near the Duomo tends to tempt restaurant owners to lower their standards for greater tourist profit. On the other hand, this restaurant commercialises the tower's inclination by using inclined glassware, for certain drinks and for its Tiramisu.
Vincent G — Google review
I dont leave reviews so often but this restaurant deserved it, service was great, food was great, probably best strawberry cheesecake i ever had but really. Only bad thing is that water is in plastic bottles but everything else was perfect. And i would change music to some Italian instead of this modern music.
Teodor A — Google review
Pisan restaurants anywhere within sight of the Tower are tourist orientated. Look for the ones with Italian tourists too! Pecorino was the best we found that side of town. The all male, all young team, serve with real zip. The food is excellent and not compromised for foreign tastes. We ate and drank 100% Tuscan. There ARE burgers, beers etc, but this is a proper restaurant despite street seating and tourists. You will pay just as much, so why do it? Nothing in this area is cheap by the way. Just because a place says its a Trattoria or cafe the prices do not necessarily go down. The presence of pizza is the only real cost saver (which Pecorino does not do, being a restaurant.) Seafood was v good, ditto antipasti. We repeated our visits due to the good variety of 2nd plates. One night I had a great baby squid stew 'calamaretti'.
Mike S — Google review
We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food after trying few other places around the area. Steak was delicious!! Lovely staff. Great wine
Agata W — Google review
As a solo traveller I can definitely recommend this place. I'd give it 4.5/5. The staff were really nice and spoke english. I got seated quickly and ordered quickly too. I had a three course meal including the boar pasta and tiramisu. The food came out at perfect intervals and the staff were super sweet, always asking if everything was ok. The food was very tasty and the tiramisu look so cute! I recommend if you are hungry and near the tower :)

Whether it's a casual meet-up, a brunch with delectable bagels, or simply enjoying coffee while working or studying, this place has you covered. This was a gorgeous cafe in Pisa! Very affordable and lovely ambience. I would 100% recommend and 100% return if I came to Pisa again. Staff are friendly and polite. Food was fantastic. It was a perfect English breakfast tea (I hadn’t had one since I left England) thank you for a lovely brunch! We would highly recommend. I also loved being able to order at the till and pay for meals - we were a group of 7 which helped too!
Debbie M — Google review
Really nice, relaxing place. The pastries are so good. The croissants were still crispy, the texture inside was amazing, with what I assumed to be sesame. It seems like a healthier croissant, but still very light and airy, without sickening you early in the morning. Highly recommend the cupcake, because the sour note of lemon and blueberry just mixed seamlessly into an addictive tartness. The cake itself was not dense, perfect base for the cream on top. A good, light brunch place
HanaYuki M — Google review
isited on Oct 9, 2025 — right after visiting Pisa. The cold brew was incredible, fruity and smooth. Carrot cake was just perfect too. Highly recommended! Back in Thailand now, but I still can’t forget that coffee. I’ll definitely come back again someday. ☕🇮🇹
Sarawut T — Google review
Specialty coffee in the heart of Pisa. You know they know what they do when they offer flat whites (not common in Italy) and differentiate them to cappuccinos (they come in cups of different sizes). The coffee was very good, with a fruity note, while a I prefer a classic roast, but that’s a personal taste. The prices were also very fair with 4€ for a flat (which I know is more expensive than a regular coffee/cappuccino in Italy).
Ratana T — Google review
The food was incredible! So fresh! But I have to say, the coffee was something else! Great pour over, perfect cappuccino! As a Colombian I do enjoy a good cup of coffee and without doubt this was one of the best of my trip!
Yuyu O — Google review
Tomate & cheese croissant was very flaky and tasty. They served in warm if you ask. My flat white was good - not bitter and taste the coffee. Staffs were friendly! I ordered a scrambled egg for my dog, he likes it very much!

Hands down the best coffee I’ve ever had – the cappuccino was phenomenal, and the café latte was just as amazing. The croissants were excellent too, both the ham & cheese and the pistachio. Highly recommend this café! ☕️ 🤩 🥐

Pasticceria Dolce Pisa is a charming Italian bakery offering an authentic breakfast experience. The traditional front and outdoor seating provide a lovely setting to enjoy a variety of pastries, sweet treats, cannolis, croissants, and cornettos. Located near the Pisa leaning tower site, it's a perfect spot to escape the crowds and indulge in some delicious vegan and gluten-free options alongside a cup of coffee.
In September 2024, Robert and I visited the beautiful town of Pisa in Tuscany to celebrate our anniversary. We came across this lovely little café near the Leaning Tower and stopped by every morning for breakfast. The pastries were fresh and delicious, and the weather couldn’t have been better. Sitting outside, enjoying our food while people-watching, was such a treat. Pisa, you were amazing – thank you for the beautiful memories!
Paola P — Google review
A cozy café with great quality sweets and coffee at a very reasonable price. The staff are always nice and friendly, which makes you want to come back. It’s in a good location, easy to reach, but keep in mind the space is small—there are just a few seats inside and some outside. Still, it’s perfect for a quick break or a relaxing coffee if you find a spot. Highly recommended!
PegiTa ( — Google review
Close enough to leaning tower. Reviews are not very good but I am happy. Food was good, tasty. I got tiramisu which in this case looks different to the previous photos uploaded. Very good, smooth, tasty, melted. Delicious. I was a bit disappointed with the fact that I wanted a natural juice they had in their menu and, in November, they told me they didn’t have because it is cold now. Fine in general. A bit pricey. Very quick attendance. Clean place.
Oscar H — Google review
While having ”gluten free option ” in the name of the cafe, the options are few. You would think they’d have a lot but it’s just one egg sandwich and some croissants (at the time I was there). So don’t be like me and expect a lot
Tindra27a — Google review
Staff was friendly. My sandwich was fresh. nine euros in total.
Sarcopolo — Google review
There are a bunch of reviews already that speak to empty cases for gluten free options. I'll add my own picture here taken at 7:15am. So, here's the thing. I understand getting to a bakery later in the day and not seeing much - especially for gluten free options. They're expensive, more labor intensive, and the demand is just a fraction of normal demand. Knowing this, we scouted the place a few days ago and found a nearly empty case. No problem, it was a scouting visit. We asked the staff there if more options were available the next day. He told us to get there right at the opening to ensure we'd have our pick. OK, that makes sense. Then we went at 7:15 - actually waiting for the gate to be lifted while the workers were setting up tables / filling cases. There was only what you see in my photo: full cases of gluten containing foods, and a few sad leftovers from prior days (plural) that clearly aren't moving. That brings me to the next thing. If you look at the label, it contains: E471 Mono-/diglycerides Emulsifier Can be animal or plant origin E330 Citric acid Acidulant, antioxidant Usually safe, but industrial E202 Potassium sorbate Preservative Very low toxicity E160b Annatto Natural coloring Rare allergic reactions So... these are not made fresh. Don't expect them to be. You will, however, pay a premium price for it. I asked the staff why the case was empty and the story changed. Now, apparently, you're supposed to come in at 10am, not 7:30am. OK. Basically, if you come here you are taking your chances on if there will be anything at all. You have no idea if anything was made fresh. You will, however, pay a lot for it. I just can't endorse this place when compared to other bakeries we have encountered in Italy.
André C — Google review
A good place a few steps away from the Pisa tower. Coffee was good and there were lots of pastry's to try. The cake's were mouth watering unfortunately couldn't taste. The ambience was good, very well maintained clean and tidy. the staff were friendly, quick service. Overall a good place to taste different types of bakery items and coffee.

This small and cheerful cafe is perfect for a quick morning snack or afternoon tea. They serve delicious coffee and food, at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, perfect for catching up with friends.
I am here right now as I write this review. The waitress is very friendly. I ask if she speaks a little English. She answers in French but thankfully I speak French. The coffee arrives. Mmmmmm. Very nice. Getting a hot coffee in Italy is nearly impossible. I usually have to act like a man burning himself in order to convey what I want. The coffee is hotISH.
Steve M — Google review
Authentic, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere really good fast service. Beers were on the warm side, but the food was really good. Had the Gnocchi with cheese and Cannelloni with ricotta and spinach. Good value for money. They accept credit cards. Overall good experience.
Jacques B — Google review
Theres a few cafes and eateries on this street but there's something about this little place that keeps me coming back. Great value, very pleasant lady running it, and great background music. My first night here I was serenaded by Ella Fitzgerald. Such a pleasant change from bang bang thump music by people who'll be forgotten next week. Great coffee, great food 😁
Steve J — Google review
I just needed a table to write some post cards. It was cheap, great setting. Great to sit and write and watch the world go by. It appears to have a good local following too, as well as tourists. I don't know the barista's name, English speaking, dready hair, slim and a good sense of humour but most importantly makes a great coffee. I would have been back the following day, had I not had to catch an early flight out the next morning.
Paul S — Google review
Just had lunch here and it was great! They had two gluten free options for pasta and two gluten free deserts! Our waitress was great and very helpful! Highly recommend this place if you’re in need for a yummy lunch in Pisa!
Ashley H — Google review
The lady at the bar was so nice, she made me feel welcome. I didn't ask for much but I enjoyed the conversation. I swung back through later on my way back and chatted some more with the bar patrons. It's the little things that make these types of places great when you are traveling.
John P — Google review
Lovely service if a little slow, the pasta is so fresh and helped me to pick a perfect whiskey. Actually an Italian Brandy. Wonderful! The red wine was great with the carbonara! Just two perfect afternoons!!!
Diane B — Google review
Terrible food. Pasta is not fresh and terribly reheated and the risotto was undercooked. The lady working was very rude. Location is OK but not great. Expensive prices for what you get. Tiny portions. Would not recommended this place at all.

The fast food restaurant McDonals is a classic, long-running chain known for its burgers and fries. It is a good place to go for a quick meal or snack. The burgers are juicy and the fries are crispy.
Filet-O-Fish, McFlurry with Baci chocolate flavor; and Big Tasty are what I like besides most of the items at McCafe. You won't go wrong eating here! Everyone will used up the tiolets if McDonald's not requiring a €1 from you just to monitor and clean them for you! Please be nice to the folks guarding the tiolets!!

Dheeraj N — Google review
I was here twice in one day. It is good and at least what you can expect from McDonalds or even a bit better. I give the food 5 stars because it is compared to the average McDonalds and fast food restaurant. You know what you get and it is close to the tower with good opening times, from that perspective I recommend it.
Daniel K — Google review
What can I say, it's the same as all the other McDonald's. The thing that surprised me was how fast they delivered the food, despite all the people that were there. There are McDonald's where there is almost no one and it takes about 25 minutes to wait. Too bad there were no numbers for deliveries directly to the table. Great.
Alexandru C — Google review
Just a regular McDonald's - but useful if you're nearby. Food is exactly what you'd expect. It gets busy because of the location, but service was decent. Keep your receipt if you plan to use the toilets - you'll need it as proof of purchase. Good spot for a quick break if you're visiting the sights, it does however have a loud atmosphere.
Andreas L — Google review
Consistent service here. Good food with the crispy chicken. Prices are higher next to the tower but very convenient and comfortable with the AC.
Albert K — Google review
Food was alright, ordered meal and i have the option to choose beer. There was a toilet boy who was horrible, he took my ticket away and refused to give it back to me and said to me “you talk too much”, I have no choice but said Foxtrot Oscar. Lots seats outside.
Deng M — Google review
This must be the worst McDonald's in the world. The staff haven't been trained by the standard procedures. There was an staff standing at the toilet entrance checking your receipt and making comments at the same time. My whole day's good mood was ruined by them. I really want to give a negative score.

Nice place for breakfast. Friendly staff and quick service. Tea was great quality and the pastries were all fresh and delicious. Only slight downside was there's only one toilet and it was really well used. A lot of seating available inside and out. It's very popular so make sure you get there early.

The outside area isn't all that and it's very smoky obviously everyone outside smokes. Inside is nice and lots of noise if you like that sort of stuff then great but for us old people is not the best. We had the cheesecake which was ok and Express was nice. Very cosy and friendly place for breakfast, coffee or drinks. For the afternoon drink they also made delicious non-alcoholic drinks for our teens. We stayed nearby in Pisa so we went here multiple times.
Micael S — Google review
The food quality is not great, service very slow and also they added 2 euros for everytime that they came to the table as a service fee, which sounds like a bit of a scam. Also when asking for the bill, it wasn’t very clear as it didn’t have the names of what we ordered. They also didn’t reply to my boyfriend who is black, but they replied to everyone else in the table. Avoid this place if you can.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem in Pisa! We were warmly welcomed at this charming little bar tucked away in Pisa. The place is cousy, and has a large selection of cocktails. However is a bit overpriced (4 euros for an infusion) and bartenders do not appear to be so experts in the cocktails they make. Still, one of the few places in Pisa with some space to sit inside, so may be good for winter.

(Translated by Google) Very nice place for an aperitif as a couple or in a group. Maybe a little narrow for large groups but it depends on the room. Jazz music in the background and a "hipster" style that is pleasant. Good cocktails and the possibility of some wine by the glass without too much choice. Quite a varied aperitif and in not excessive quantities. Average price, €5 for a spritz. Overall, I will stay here again.

(Translated by Google) Small venue (maximum capacity of around thirty people) in the centre. Nice intimate and welcoming atmosphere also created by the retro music in the background. Although drinks are not obligatory (if you want, none are necessary) to occupy a table, their cost is slightly above average in relation to their quality, the service offered and the type of place and its (a little dated) furnishings. The place has tabletop role-playing games, it's a bit like being at home, due to the type of atmosphere. However, a recommended place. Comunque locale consigliato.

(Translated by Google) Nice place, but not very well kept.. Good cocktails. They don't do table service, but you can easily order at the counter. It's not a good place for an aperitif, as the appetizers are few and far between... Average prices (5 euros per cocktail). (Original) Locale carino, ma non curatissimo.. Buoni i cocktail. Non fanno servizio al tavolo, ma facilmente si riesce al ordinare al banco. Non è un buon locale per aperitivo, in quanto gli stuzzichini sono pochi e niente... Prezzi nella media (5euro a cocktail).

Bakery
Panetteria Pasticceria All'Angolo di Paola Nolè is a charming bakery located in Pisa, Italy. It offers a wide variety of traditional Italian baked goods and treats, from freshly baked bread to mouthwatering pastries. The shop is known for its friendly and competent staff, high-quality products, and an extensive selection that includes sweet and savory items like lasagna and arancini.
It's a sweet little pastry shop where you can find a lot more than just bread and sweets. The guy in the shop is genuinely nice, I asked him a bunch of questions about the different products and he explained everything patiently. The products are nice and the prices reasonable :) I recommend it 😊
Ivelina S — Google review
It is really expensive compared to quality. The pastries were miles away from being fresh and the taste is really bad. We got 2 pistacchio croissants and 3 lemon canolas, charged 4.40 euros, and got really bad quality for that amount of many.

(Translated by Google) Excellent bakery with many sweet and savory products near a café (I met them precisely because I had to go to the café). I took food there for breakfast/snack since I was passing through: the pastries, the muffins (... the muffins...) and the flatbreads were excellent. And the soft buns. Then I managed to get a too good to go box: superlative in quantity, quality and variety. And finally the kindness and friendliness of the owners. Although a little far from my home, I will definitely return. E i panini morbidi. Poi sono riuscita a prendere una box too good to go: superlativa in quantità, qualità e varietà. E a epilogo anche la gentilezza e la simpatia dei titolari. Anche se un po distante da casa mia, sicuramente ci tornerò.

Nestled in the heart of Pisa, Italy, L'Angolo del Pane is a delightful bakery that beckons with its enticing array of freshly baked goods. From crusty baguettes to airy croissants, each item is crafted with high-quality ingredients and a dedication to artisanal baking. The bakery also offers generous 'Too Good To Go' boxes filled with an assortment of treats like pizza and schiacciata, making it a fantastic option for those looking to indulge without breaking the bank.
Small bakery with a very positive person, we got a crossiant which was mid and the pizza thing was great. Very good for long roads and trip, just to grab and go. If you go in the morning the woman will greet you with the biggest smile and loudest buongiorno, good way to start your day.

We where here every morning for a week to buy fresh bread, cakes and focaccia😊 We totally loved it!🥰 The girl working here is also very sweet.
Vibeke-Maria G — Google review
We have shopped both read and baked goods here, and the problem has been the same with all. All products has been really dry, like it has been laying out for a day or two. In 35 degrees baked food can't lay out like that. Even early morning things is really dried up. No, not a place to recommend. I'd rather walk 150 meters to the coop.

(Translated by Google) Everything is excellent except for the fact that they don't have a POS, it's really a limitation, sometimes if they don't have cash and want to go I change the bakery (Original) Tutto ottimo tranne il fatto che siano senza pos, è veramente una limitazione, a volte se sono senza contanti pur volendoci andare cambio panificio

(Translated by Google) I bought locally through the too god too go page and our experience was quite unpleasant. Almost the entire package was bread, which was quite stale, and looked like it was from the previous day. I went to return it and the girl who served us did not want to accept the food, 5 euros in the trash (Original) Compre en el local a través de la página too god too go y nuestra experiencia fue bastante desagradable. Casi todo el paquete era pan, qué estaba bastante duro, y parecía del día anterior. Se lo fui a devolver y la muchacha que nos atendió no nos quería aceptar la comida, 5 euros a la basura

(Translated by Google) We got a magic box from this bakery via too Good to go which should have had the value of 15 euros... we were given practically only bread, most of it very hard, at least two or three days old. We won't be back. taking the same amount of food I would have spent less than with too Good to go. (Original) Abbiamo preso da questo panificio una magic box tramite too Good to go che avrebbe dovuto avere il valore di 15 euro… ci è stato dato praticamente solo pane, la maggior parte peraltro durissimo, vecchio di almeno due o tre giorni . Non ci torneremo. prendendo la stessa quantità di cibo avrei speso meno che con too Good to go.
Serena — Google review
(Translated by Google) I very often get the too good to go boxes and they are really giant and varied, with bread, pizza, Schiacciata, croissants etc... The only criticism I have is that they don't let you use the pos (Original) Prendo molto spesso le box too good to go e sono davvero giganti e varie, con pane, pizza, schiacciata, cornetti ecc… L’unica critica che devo fare è che non fanno utilizzare il pos
