Great atmosphere and delicious food! Came here for a dinner and had a great time. Our food was fresh and delicious. Fresh red snapper was perfect 👌. Appetizer tower was good! Calamari with house was perfectly cooked! Cauliflower was tasty! The atmosphere was great! Love their outdoor seats! Great place for romantic dinner! People were nice and friendly.

Love the local fresh fish options that Farlows has to offer. We had the Tuna Nacho to start, good, but I do wish they cut the tuna into smaller pieces instead of strips. It made it messy to eat. The Grouper Cheeks were good, but I didn't think they would be deep-fried. Good, but not as expected. The St. Croix items were very good!! Absolutely beautiful atmosphere and popular spot for locals and visitors. Reservations are highly recommended.
Jennifer L — Google review
Amazing food...fish was very fresh and delicious! I had the Caribbean delight combo, then we had the puff pastry blackened grouper and the golden tile fish! All were excellent! Great atmosphere sitting by the water and live music..truly a great place to eat. 4 stars because it was very expensive.

Our rehearsal dinner was everything we hoped for and more. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it gave our closest family and friends the perfect chance to relax and connect before the big day. Everything ran so smoothly, and we couldn’t be happier with how the night turned out. A huge thank you to Emma, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was set up beautifully and exactly how we envisioned it. She was so organized, thoughtful, and an absolute joy to work with. We knew we were in great hands from the start. Her attention to detail and calm, professional approach helped make the whole evening stress free and so special. And we can’t forget our amazing waiter she was fantastic! So kind, attentive, and on top of every little thing. She made sure all of our guests were comfortable and well taken care of, and her positive energy added so much to the night. The food was incredible, and we heard so many compliments from our guests. Every detail, from the service to the setup, was handled with care. It was the perfect way to kick off our wedding weekend, and we’ll always remember it with so much love and gratitude. Marissa & William Blair

Went to Farlow’s tonight for dinner and had a wonderful experience. Our server Hannah was excellent and on top of everything. We sat outside and enjoyed the live band. The salad with the house dressing was amazing. Drinks were great and meal was superb. Will definitely be back!
Patty M — Google review
What a lovely spot! We ate outside under the canopy where they had a fellow playing guitar. Golden oldies but it created a nice ambient atmosphere. Our server was lovely despite my English accent asking for a Buddha IPA and of course it sounded like Butter to her! 😁 She was so sweet trying to decipher it!! On to the food, gosh it was lovely! We started with the barbados mussels then I had the scallops. With were delicious but quite rich so come hungry! Or take it home like we did! Dinner sorted for tonight!! 🤣 Highly recommended!

The food was very well prepared and was very tasty. our server was very professional showing us the specials also whatwas popular all around very nice experience good for a special night for us we where doing a us night
Pamela D — Google review
Pretty good food and service. The atmosphere could be SO MUCH BETTER! This restaurant is directly on the water but you can’t enjoy it because they have hedges blocking the view…why? Cut those down, or trim them drastically, to allow the view. Also, the wine by the glass list needs to be improved. They have some good wines available but only by the bottle. My wife and I will generally have one glass (I might have two) and buying a bottle is overkill. The band that was playing was pretty good and the volume was perfect as well.

Lock 'N Key Restaurant is a spacious and well-lit American eatery that offers scenic views of the ocean from its patio. Live music adds to the lively ambiance, while a wide selection of seafood dishes makes it a popular choice. Even during busy times like spring break, waiting time for seating is surprisingly short. The menu features an interesting variety of dishes, including fresh fish and steak options, as well as numerous side dishes.
Snowing even though it was in the '90s on Easter day, we had a nice breeze at our seat on the patio. Umbrellas were being moved around to keep customers comfortable. The food was delicious from the rolls, to the soup, to the main entrees which included a ribeye + one of the Easter specials, the leg of lamb. The mojitos were delicious. The star of the show was the dessert special, carrot cake cheesecake!!

This spot quickly became our favorite place to visit! We walked in as strangers but definitely left feeling part of the family! Amanda and J behind the bar were incredible and the food was absolutely delicious!
Amanda M — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So happy Lock ‘N Key is reopened! The ambience is beautiful, the service was spot-on, and the menu and drinks were full of flavor. I had the tuna poké bowl, which was fresh and delicious. My husband had the Caesar salad (his go-to!) and said it was amazing — the grilled chicken was perfectly cooked. We also tried the buffalo cheese dip, and it was excellent. A great experience all around — we’ll definitely be back!

Incredible joint! Excellent service and scrumptious food. I'd be tempted to travel all the way from TN in the future just to eat the Seafood cakes and Grouper Rockefeller again. Make sure to get there for dinner before Happy Hour ends to get a pull tab at the bar. The Mule was great but the Rum Runner was the hit of the night. 10/10 would recommend!
Beulah M — Google review
Cool bar right by the beach with awesome food and drink options. The happy hour pull tab game is a awesome addition to make the experience more fun. We sat at the bar and the staff was right with us even with a bar full of regulars. The drinks and food came out fast and fresh! We got some bomb nachos that were just covered in some fantastic boom boom shrimp. They definitely did not skimp on anything, you get a lot of food at a great value. The prices are extremely fair and great for what you get. This is definitely a place I'd add in my rotation and a great option for any beach day.

After 2 hurricanes within 2 weeks of one another back In September of 24', this place kicks ass. Clean, food is amazing. Drinks are spot on. Must try. Highly recommend

Came in with a group of 7 and we all had a great meal. My favorite highlights were the seafood cake appetizer and the massively huge slice of coconut cream pie. But we tried a little of everything and it was all good. The Cole Slaw was a little bland, it could use a little vinegar or lime juice in it and the coconut martini could use a better garnish than just a cherry. But would definitely come back again. Service from Sydney was great too!

We had a Girls weekend on the key and started out at Lock ‘N Key. WOW it was amazing from start to finish! Absolutely Amazing service, drinks and the Food perfection.

Mango Bistro, located in Englewood, is a vibrant and award-winning restaurant that has been serving delectable global fare since 2008. Helmed by Ricardo Ruggiero and Marie Laforge, the bistro is committed to environmental responsibility by minimizing plastic waste and recycling restaurant waste. The menu at Mango Bistro offers a fusion of French and Brazilian cuisine with unique European and modern American twists.
If cozy vibes, quirky charm, and a splash of tropical flair are your thing, then Mango Bistro is calling your name! This little gem is the perfect blend of eclectic and inclusive, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Every time I pop in, it’s like a mini vacation—good drinks, good people, and really good food. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, though fair warning: if you swing by during the lunch rush, bring a little patience with you—they’re juggling a lot, but it’s worth the wait. Last time, I tried the gluten-free turkey club, and wow... so good I almost forgot it was gluten-free! But the real star of the show? The mango tea. I’m obsessed. It’s flavorful, refreshing, and totally addictive—I get it every time! Trust me, whether you’re a regular or just passing through, Mango Bistro is the kind of place that makes you feel like a local. 🥭✨

Cute place. Good service. Tortilla soup was great. Buddha bowl and shrimp wrap great as well. Organic and micro greens in their greens is nice. They offer mango tea and an assortment of muffins as well.
Cindy L — Google review
We’ve finally made it to Mango Bistro! 🥭 It’s the best place in town especially when you’re on a special diet because they offer tons of vegetarian / vegan options and are also really attentive about other diets or allergies. I felt so appreciated having a separate vegetarian / vegan menu! I had so much fun deciding on what to eat because it finally wasn’t just salad and fries or a simple veggie burger for me. I had the avocado toast with vegan chorizo and it was amazing. The fresh fruits and delicious drinks (iced strawberry matcha) added to the experience. Service was also excellent and prices were reasonable for a really fresh and delicious meal. Atmosphere was great as well. Highly recommend!
Vanessa P — Google review
I was gladly surprised by trying this restaurant for the first time. If you want healthy food, they got it. They have a separate menu for gluten free choices. The food is freshly made and delicious! The soups are like none I have tasted before. Take some time and try it.
Helena L — Google review
Got the Honolulu melt, and he got the Italiano, the food wasn’t bad but not necessarily what we personally like which isn’t their fault. The staff was very friendly and the coffee was good as well! They have a gluten free and vegan menu available and in general have a great variety of things. I would definitely try it again!
Jessica M — Google review
A Gem in Englewood! What a great location right in the heart of Englewood! We truly enjoyed our breakfast here. I had the avocado toast, and my husband went for the spinach-egg wrap👏both were absolutely delicious. The coffee (Café con leche) was perfectly made, smooth and rich in flavor. The service was friendly and welcoming, which added to the great atmosphere of this colorful, vibrant spot. We sat outside and really appreciated the relaxed, tropical vibe. ❤️❤️We’ll definitely be back whenever we travel to this area again. Highly recommended!👍

Place is very cute. Ordered the turkey club sandwich wrap and the green machine smoothie, delicious. Reasonable price. They do have a gluten free menu. Will go again.
Wilma C — Google review
I chose Mango Bistro for our monthly group lunch based on the great reviews, and they were spot on! I think all eleven of us ordered something different, and we all enjoyed our meals. Our server, Cheryl, had said that all the items on the menu were equally delicious, and she wasn't wrong! I had the Curry Tuna Sandwich on the pineapple bread with black bean soup and blue chips. It was so good that I ordered a sandwich to take home to my husband, and he loved it! The Mango tea was really good, too, as was the carrot cake. I'm excited to return to try the other menu items, and I think you all will love it as much as I did. In addition to the food being great, the service was fast, our server was friendly, the food came out quickly, the prices were reasonable, and the place was vibing. 🤌🏼 Sorry, I forgot to take photos!

The Waverly Restaurant & Bar is a laid-back dining spot that offers a variety of seafood dishes, cocktails, and more in a relaxed setting with ocean views. Situated across from Englewood Beach, the restaurant provides a full menu in its second-floor dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing stunning Gulf of Mexico vistas. The service was amazing, and the food was spectacular. Our group had the sea bass, cab cakes, and Prime Rib. For appetizers, we had the shrimp cocktail and oysters amazing.. The cocktails are also great. The gluten-free options are excellent. We have the gluten-free key lime pie to go, amazing. The view from the top floor is spectacular. #glutenfree #manesota key. #englewood #Florida

My family & I came here for dinner and we absolutely loved everything about our dining experience! We ordered the sea bass, surf and turf, crab cake and the kids’ butter noodles. Our server, Evan, was extremely prompt and professional. The entire atmosphere was amazing and we loved watching the sunset from our seats. I would definitely recommend the Waverly!
Jessica M — Google review
We finally made it to The Waverly and had a truly great dinner. We started with the fried avocado (absolutely delicious) served with tons of tortilla chips—perfect for sharing. The surf and turf was a highlight, and I also had an enormous, super-fresh mountain of salad that hit the spot. Service was top-notch. When our table got a bit cramped with all the dishes, the staff quickly moved us to a more spacious spot right by the window. It made the evening even better, especially with the gorgeous sunset view. Drinks were spot-on, and while it’s definitely the priciest place on the key, it’s totally worth a visit for the atmosphere, service, and food. Highly recommend!
Vanessa P — Google review
We had a group of 6 and our server Evan was very accommodating and checked on us regularly. The calamari and fish dip were great. People in our party got fish and chips, shrimp scampi and salmon. My husband and I got the summer specials of mahi and linguine & clams which included soup and dessert, we wish they offered something like this year round. The portions were perfect.
Ashley A — Google review
Absolutely an amazing experience. We had Krissy a.k.a. Jersey as our server and she exceeded our expectations. Recommended a drink that is truly one that celebrates the autumn spirit it is an autumn. Margarita with fresh pear, and apple cider absolutely delicious and her personality was bubbly and exactly what we needed. I will be coming back and only asking for her!
Jerri F — Google review
The Waverly is a dream. I actually had my wedding in their banquet room and it was amazing. The day was perfect and Hunter made all the details so easy. We loved working with him and everyone involved!
Ashlyn S — Google review
The sushi was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. However, the overall dining experience left a bit more to be desired. Our server seemed inattentive and unfortunately forgot our drink order twice. We had mentioned it was our first visit, but she didn’t take the time to walk us through any specials or recommendations, which would have been helpful and welcoming. Throughout the meal, we found ourselves needing to flag down the manager to get additional drinks and sides, as our server was not checking in regularly. While the restaurant itself is stunning with a lovely view and ambiance, the lack of attentive service took away from the overall experience. Additionally, the grouper sandwich did not seem fresh and did not taste like genuine grouper, which was disappointing given the otherwise appealing menu. It’s a shame, as the setting and potential are truly great — with some improvement in service consistency and food quality, this could easily become a standout dining destination. We hope this feedback is helpful and taken in the spirit of improvement — we’d love to see the experience elevated to match the beautiful atmosphere you’ve created.

I had the Biratta tomato salad. It was delicious. My husband had the French dip and corn chowder soup equally good. Our German Shepherd dog was welcome and everybody was very friendly. We sat out on the lanai.

Newly opened in 2022, Magnolias on the Bay is a waterfront restaurant located on Manasota Key near Englewood Beach. During the day, it exudes a cozy coffee shop atmosphere and transforms into an intimate fine dining spot at night. The restaurant offers a variety of drink options including beer, wine, and cocktails to complement its bayside meals.
My boyfriend and I dined at Magnolias on the Bay this past Fourth of July while on vacation, and it was an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner on the patio with fireworks lighting up the sky. From the food to the service and atmosphere, everything was perfect. The dishes were delicious, and the service was exceptional. A special thanks to our server, Brandon, who was attentive, kind, and offered great recommendations. After dinner, we watched more fireworks and had a lovely conversation with Sam, the manager, who gave us some great local tips. Huge thanks to the entire staff for making our evening so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Wow! What a gem of a restaurant! Friends gave us a gift card and we had never been before! I am so glad we now know about Magnolias on the Bay! Fabulous menu, incredible service and creative cocktail menu! And the view and atmosphere is perfection! We had a few of the small plates. They were all very yummy! We also had a sushi roll and it was delicious! Hoping to have room for dessert next time!

This place is wonderful! We celebrated my 31st birthday here last night. The food was incredible (as always) the service was 10 stars. Daniel, our server knew every answer to all our questions especially, about the wines. He was attentive, knowledgeable, very nice and did not rush us. The dessert, might’ve been my favorite part of the meal. Blackberry and peach cobbler, DELICIOUS! Beautiful ambiance and even better food. Thank you, Magnolias.

Cute restaurant. We visited for breakfast but will be back for dinner. Not an extensive breakfast menu but good selections. Our food was fresh and tasty. Service was great. I can't say enough about the space. We ate outside and the several fans perched above kept the humidity and bugs away but weren't loud enough to bother our conversation. Service was great. We took a walk to the Bay. The property is large and would make a great place to host a party.

We just had our wedding there and had the most perfect experience. We were originally booked at Waverly but with the hurricane damage, canceled due to being unsure of when repairs would actually be finished. We were going to cancel our wedding completely until my parents had visited to help clean up my grandparent’s place after the hurricane. They had rave reviews about Magnolia’s and the beautiful setting and amazing food. They asked the manager if they hosted weddings, and they said not yet but we’re starting to get into it. We contacted them, decided to take our chances and book with them and it was the best decision we ever could have made. Keith handled everything so well. Everything from the amazing food, to the friendly serving staff, and set up and organization of everything was absolutely perfect. Every guest has complimented how impressed they were with the whole place. We highly recommend Magnolia’s (especially for a wedding venue, though currently they are only available for weddings on Sundays and Mondays). You won’t regret it! And may I say again how amazing the food is?? (Photos by Myra Coxey)

Venture this way due to the food looking like the most outstanding spot on the island and I wasn't disappointed! I'm not always in love with sushi but the recommended roll hit the spot, and the new pork belly dish was phenomenal.. You can tell they put a lot of love and soul into their dishes. But most importantly Heather's warm, friendly personality and hospitality made the visit so much more special! I loved chatting with her, she was so kind and patient with any questions even close to closing time. She would have me coming back to visit and dine again and again. This was my favorite restaurant visit of my trip on the island!

By far the best food available in the area in my opinion. Our food was extremely impressive and while the food was expensive it felt like incredible value compared to other restaurants on the key due simply to the magnitude of the quality. An incredible experience that deserves your attention.
Aly S — Google review
We went here for dinner of 5/5 for our anniversary dinner which is 5/5. Our server Chris was excellent - had a great command of the food and drinks. My wife had a margarita and I had the drink among giants - always leery in Florid of something that's supposed to be " old fashioned" but it was better than average - just a little sweet. Wife had a caesar salad with anchovies on the side. More than she wanted so I got taste - we both thought it was very good. She couldn't finish the little guys. She then had a volcano sushi roll which is Chilean seabass - large serving. I had the roasted duck breast - lots of deliciousness. It's expensive but you usually get what you pay for.

Nestled along the picturesque Englewood Beach, SandBar Tiki & Grille is a vibrant destination that perfectly captures the essence of coastal dining. This laid-back eatery boasts stunning water views and an inviting atmosphere where locals and visitors alike can unwind. The menu is a delightful mix of seafood specialties, BBQ favorites like brisket and ribs, as well as tasty tacos that highlight fresh, local ingredients.
Wow. They are great. I came there for the first time, and it was Awesome. The BBG brisket is very good. We had the BBQ brisket Philly cheese sandwich. They don't have coffee. I love coffee with my sandwich. I will be back. They have free valet parking ( just tip the valet ) , and they have great music.

Chicken sandwich was very good. Brisket French dip was good however the au jus tasted like warm water very bland. same goes for the beans and rice no flavor. Sweet potatoes I recommend. dinning outside was nice. Staff was great!
Dave C — Google review
Ill start when we arrived there was "complimentary" valet parking. But there was plenty of parking available and was unsure why the valet was even needed. As far as drinks there was some delicious specials including a chocolate banana drink that was terrific. The food was good, at our table we tried a protein bowl, fried fish, and shrimp. It all tasted delicious and was filling. Dessert I decided to get their friend cheesecake and wished I had gotten 2 with my 1st bit. But found the serving size to be perfect for my sweet tooth. Service was average nothing bad nothing outstanding.

Excellent grub and wonderful atmosphere! Had the Sandbar Bomber Burger and it was delicious. Whoever thought to put a tortilla on the plate to make a taco with all the toppings that fall off as you're trying to eat the burger is a genius. Make sure to check out when they have live music as it was such fun listening while enjoying our meal. 10/10 would recommend
Beulah M — Google review
Great food and atmosphere. It's a literal sandy bar and restaurant with sand on the floor. Drinks were good but service was a little slow. They were really busy though. The kids meal came with a bucket which was adorable and my son loved it! It was a little expensive but it was totally worth it after spending a day at the beach. Oh and they also do military discount but only for the veteran and not for the entire meal (we appreciated it regardless!).
Bree K — Google review
We had a good time at SandBar. I love the fact that it was open air with sand beneath your feet! It definitely had the perfect vibes for a beach vacay. The food and drinks were really good - your typical American bar/grill food with burgers, sandwiches, some tacos, etc. We enjoyed that there was live music, though I tend to be more of a “enjoy conversations” person and always wish the music was just a touch quieter. The biggest downside with the open air was that, as soon as our food arrived, the flies descended. We were at another restaurant that provided table fans when the food was served for this reason, so something like that could be nice. We spent the meal swatting them away. My kids and I are rather skittish with bugs, so that was a little unpleasant, but it wouldn’t stop us from coming back. You get what you get when you chose to dine al fresco!
Diane F — Google review
Fun place! They had a band playing 70s, 80s, 90s music. Watched the sun set while sitting next to the water. Big ole cheeseburger. That's like heaven for me! Highly recommended if you like any of the above!

Vino Loco is a lovely little spot in Englewood with outstanding service, wine and tapas. We have been wanting to stop here for a while and it did not disappoint. Real MD crabcakes, quality cheeses, olives, shrimp bisque, roasted tomato confit, pate, YUMM!! I have to also mention the best white burgundy wine. We tried a number of items and we could not pick what we liked best as all were delicious. Then there were the desserts which I forgot to photograph. Premium carrot cake, amazing chocolate cake and dates which I had never tried but WOW!! Can’t wait to go again.

Very surprising to find such excellent and creative tapas - maybe the best outside Barcelona! Plus a great wine selection by the glass — almost impossible to find in Florida. Service (by the owner) was very professional. But all of the tapas - the meatballs, escargots, dates, pears with blue cheese, crab cakes, were very nicely done with lots of delicious bread. The gumbo and butternut squash soup to start were also wonderful. In Englewood’s art district, nice little place.

Our first visit to Vino Loco was on October 21st and it was mind blowing!! From the wine selection to the apps to the small plates! I absolutely love the atmosphere and the option to dine in or dine on the patio. We literally enjoyed everything we ordered. Not a fan of olives but Vino Loco's are absolutely amazing...didn't even taste like olives due to the wonderful marinade they use. Since we're from Maryland, we had to try the Maryland Crab cake...they did not disappoint, absolutely delish! We sampled many other dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them all. For dessert I opted for the homemade carrot cake, well that just threw me over the edge of pure delite!! Can't forget to give a shout out to our phenomenal server, Jonas!! If you're fortunate enough to have him as your server, please tip him well!! Can't wait to visit Englewood again and hit up my favorite restaurant!!

I walked in and was met by a man named Ian, super friendly and funny guy! I had a few questions of the wine and he put some amazing choices in front of me, very knowledgeable and patient. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere there was all 10/10! Thank you Ian, I will be visiting again soon!

Wow what fantastic authentic Spanish food...wirh a floridian twist! The crab cakes were a.azibg answered the shipment with a picccante rice/ paella. Utterly delicious bread, baked brie and roasted garlic. Ooh and the olives and caperberries were yummy! Fab service and a nice Vinho Verde to accompany it all. Highly recommend!!!

The food here is absolutely delicious. Not only that, but the plating and presentation is phenomenal. And it all comes out of the food truck. Live music, with plenty of outdoor seating, and a beautiful view of Lemon Bay. What more could you ask for? Make sure you try the herb pesto oil that is served with the french bread 🔥

More than what you expect from the outside. Biggest cheese plate ever 🤤. Crab cakes were good. Some apps served on slate plates which could make them heavy but look pretty. This area is right on the water. Although the majority of the restaurant is outside there is a small bar and a few tables on the inside. Good wine options for your food choices.

The food was memorable. This restaurant is definitely a place my family and I will revisit on our trips to Florida. The cheese plate and clams with risotto dish were perfect. The desserts were ok but we expected more since the food was so yummy.

Don't just drive by this unassuming location right before the bridge on the way to Englewood beach! Seating choices include an indoor bar, outdoor covered and open air waterfront seating. The staff was friendly and they even offer live music. Now for the best part. Seriously * delicious * food. Think world class delicious and a menu that is refreshingly different from the other beach restaurants. The beet salad? GET IT!! This isn't just about beets and you'd like it even if you didn't like beets. House made blackberry sangria? Just say "yes". Tonight's dinner for me was a thick cut pork loin over sweet, creamy grits with asparagus & hubby got the grouper tacos. Both ridiculously great. And that's not just the sangria talking. 🤫 It's a little pricey at $25 - $40 per dinner entree, but you can order from the lunch menu all day as well if you want the same quality on a budget. Your taste buds will thank you either way.

Location and food were great! The outdoor area is on the bay and we watched dolphins swim in to chase fish😊 The Cuban sandwich was delicious and the egg potato salad was tasty. They have many wines to choose from- the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was crisp and delicious🥂 The guava infused key lime pie with fresh berries was divine... will definitely be back🌅

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Lemon Bay, Landy's Restaurant is a delightful waterfront dining destination that perfectly blends casual charm with culinary excellence. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, guests can savor stunning views while indulging in an array of delectable dishes. The menu showcases a tantalizing selection of seafood, steaks, and pasta, all infused with Mediterranean flair.
Recently visited for a lunch with my mother and daughters. The food and drinks were amazing. Our server was attentive and had good suggestions for what to try on the menu. Between the four of us we tried several things and liked all of it. We sat outside on the water area, it was a beautiful day.

OK Food, Nice Setting Sitting at the end of a channel off of Lemon Bay, this eatery has rebuilt from storm damage and provides a great patio area that looks out over the water. We started off with a few drinks. Fountain Diet Coke ($3.75) and a Amberbock draft beer ($6.50). My wife had the Blue Crab Salad Croissant ($17.90) and I ordered the Blue Cheese Burger ($17.50). The Blue Crab salad was probably the best crab salad my wife has ever had at a restaurant. The onion rings were wonderful with a very light, tempura type coating. Crispy and still tender inside. My burger was a half pounder topped with plenty of blue cheese on a good bakery style roll that held up well. The burger was cooked as ordered, a perfect medium rare, but I did not get the good beef flavor I was expecting. It was just ok. The fries, the bomb. Twice fried, extra crunchy outside, soft and pillowy inside, perfectly seasoned. I think the cole slaw was to have a lime vineagrette dressing. I didn’t find the slaw to have much flavor. Service was a bit slow which was surprising as there was only a few people there. As we were just driving through that area, it made for a good lunch, but we’ll try other places next time we’re in the area.

So impressed by this place!! It was so nice inside, you can tell someone put a lot of thought and work into the design. Our server was Rachel on a Monday afternoon. She was super friendly and attentive, even brought us things we needed before we had to ask for them. That’s a sign of a great server! The food was delicious and fresh. We had fish and chips and a Reuben sandwich. Portions were generous and everything was served hot! They have a lot of seating areas for large parties so we will definitely be back with our family. Thank you! Oh and we LOVED the playlist of music that was playing!

Love what they've done with the place! Theresa was an awesome server! Very sweet and attentive. We slightly regret our decision on being adventurous with our food choices tonight. The salmon was a bit overdone but not too dry to where you couldn't eat it. I would suggest adding some seasonings. They completely missed the mark with the passion fruit gastrique. I would suggest a honey garlic glaze, instead. It tasted mostly like sugar and did not even come close to pairing well with the salmon, asparagus, or "risotto." I have some major beef with the risotto. It was so gummy and not appetizing. It had an odd off flavor, all together. The lamb was a bit over-charred and it was supposed to have been herb marinated. However, there were no herbs or marination being had in this situation. The green beans were extremely bland; no seasoning and a bit underdone. The mashed potatoes were fantastic, as was the snow crab. Will definitely be back, just for the snow crab. To end off the night, we ordered a chocolate lava cake with, supposedly, coconut ice cream. It ended up being a microwaved chocolate cake-like patty with no lava and the ice cream was definitely vanilla. All in all, we love Landy's and hope they will take this as constructive criticism. Next time, we will stick to the coconut shrimp, snow crab and bruschetta; always fresh and delicious!

This restaurant is a great stop to add to your trip! The potato soup starter was one of the best I've eaten! The shrimp with Dynamite sauce was fantastic, with great flavor and spice! The parmesan truffle fries had great flavor as well! Everybody else loved their food as well, including the alfredo with chicken, short ribs, steak, and spaghetti!

Poor Landy’s! It has everything going for it but falls apart on execution. We moved to the area in July ‘24 and were looking forward to Landys, then Milton hit, so we gave them a few months to rebuild, last night we finally stopped by, looking forward to a great birthday celebration…. Saturday night, 7:30, only a few cars in the parking lot - we were suspicious. At the hostess stand, nobody to be seen. After a few minutes I walked into the bar area to see a number of staff milling about, socializing with each other but no concern of anyone at the entrance. Finally after about 5 minutes we are greeted (warmly) and seated outside (per our preference) right on the water. Unfortunately, the fans on the patio weren’t running at all so the stagnant water smell filled the air. No problem - it’s June in swfl. We can manage. Our waitress, while kind mannered, interacted with us like she had 20 tables to serve. (There were a total of about 10 tables filled in the entire restaurant- and at least 4 servers). Live music was advertised but none to be found. When we asked we were told he cancelled due to an earlier storm. As such, no music playing at all outside, only the faint sounds of music over the speakers inside. Apps and drinks came out and were very nice. I’m not a slow eater, but halfway through a plate of wings and a cup of soup our full dinner was delivered. By then, the lack of fans and stagnant water had spurned the attack of mosquitoes. Halfway through dinner my wife couldn’t take being bitten any longer (even with bug spray on) and retreated to the car in the parking lot. I asked for to-go boxes which were delivered to the table by being placed on the plate of wings bones which had never been cleared. The bill was also delivered but I had to go inside after a number of minutes to find our waitress and pay the bill. The food: Wings | the wings were great! Perfect size, perfect cook, great mango habanero sauce. BUT - please don’t serve wings on shredded lettuce. Now I either need to eat lettuce with my wings or pick it off the wings first. And please people - serve blue cheese or ranch with celery or carrots. At the risk of sounding snooty, these aren’t garnishes. The “proper” (here comes the snooty) way to eat wings is to enjoy the wings and sauce then dip carrots or celery in the ranch or BC to cool down the heat. NE Clam Chowder | a bit runny for chowder, but it had nice flavor and presentation. I can even look past the dripped soup down the side of the cup … now that I mentioned it in my review. ;) Béarnaise burger | amazing! Cooked as requested, bun toasted perfectly. All good. I had to try out the scalloped potatoes as a side and they tasted good, but presentation appeared to be cut from a larger serving tray and reheated. Maybe scoop to help make it feel like they were cooked on order. Chicken Alfredo | probably the best I’ve come across so far in swfl. Linguini was perfectly done, sauce was superb and the ideal amount and chicken was good tasting and the ideal amount. The main gripe with the food was just the timing of delivery. Pace the meal. Don’t start cooking the entrees at the same time you start cooking the apps. If it was crazy busy, I get it. But with the few active tops going last night, the timing should have been paced out better. Overall, dinner was less than an hour. The patio was quite littered with prior diners droppings on the ground. And yet - the food was really good! And the establishment looked like Milton never happened. We could tell significant time, effort and attention has been put into Landys. Unfortunately, lack of managerial oversight appears to be hamstringing a pleasant dining experience. Had the place been packed (in season) we could understand all of it. But - it was dead. Staff had plenty of time to look beyond just serving their tables and ensure all was in order, but that passion seems to be lacking. It’s a shame really, we wanted to like Landys and add it to the regular places we eat at, but the next trip there will be made with apprehension.

Clean, well decorated dining establishment with 4 sections. They have an outside bar and dockside dining. Sometimes there are manatees. They have a bar area inside, and 2 other sections to seat. Decor is nautical and upscale while still being casual. You can go there after a day a the beach or plan a nice date date. Menu is mostly seafood. Since owners are from England I had to get a proper fish & chips. Portions to price ratio is in your favor. My meal was unexpected. It was real fish, hand breaded and fried. No commercial fish patties here. Chips are not French fries. I got schooled on how English chips are different. Owners checked in to make sure meal was OK. I plan to become a regular here. Try it out. All of the hurricane damage has been repaired and they are open for business.

Nestled in the heart of Englewood, Paraiso Mexican Grille and Bar is a charming cantina that captures the essence of traditional Mexican cuisine. This inviting eatery offers a delightful array of dishes, from sizzling fajitas to hearty enchiladas and flavorful chicken burritos. The vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by regular mariachi performances, making it an ideal spot for both casual dining and special occasions.
I got the beef taco salad and I thought it was excellent! Salsa was a bit watery, but still tasted pretty good. In addition to the good food, the owner herself came by my table to make sure everything was satisfactory. All the wait staff was very kind and came by several times to check on me. The atmosphere was very nice and I would definitely recommend visiting for lunch or dinner.

Another great local Mexican restaurant with awesome food and great service. Our workplace has ordered from Paraiso Mexican Grille several times but I always seem to miss out. However, this time we decided to have lunch at the restaurant. We arrived shortly after they opened, and the hostess was friendly. Our waitress took our drink order pretty quick and answered our menu questions. The chips and salsa were delicious and brought out promptly. I ordered the burrito, tamale, with rice and refried beans. Other co-workers ordered chicken & beef tacos that came with rice and refried beans as well. The salsa Verde had great flavor that complemented the tacos extremely well. The beans were cooked perfectly, and the rice was good. We didn't have to wait long for our food and the atmosphere was pleasant. If you're in the mood for some great Mexican food I recommend the Paraiso Mexican Grille.

I was served a taco and the meat was super cold. I guess the cook was mad because when I got a new taco back most of the meat was gone and loaded with onions. The tostada I had was a plate of slop. The cook should be fired. I also had to pay for the nasty taco. I do not recommend this place to anyone. The health department should investigate the temperature of the food that is served. I will never return or recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent food, service and staff. I arrived and was immediately greeted and seated, chips and salsa came out quickly. I went with the lunch chicken chimichanga and was more than pleased with my food. It came out super quick too. It looked a little thin, until I cut into it, and it was loaded with chicken, very pleased with my selection. My server, Estaban was really nice and quick to serve me.

If you're craving authentic Mexican food, this restaurant is a must-visit! The dishes are incredible, with standout items like the fish tacos—crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. But the real showstopper was the *Quesadilla Loca*. This massive flour tortilla was stuffed with shredded chicken, tomatoes, grilled to perfection, and then packed with carnitas, al pastor, chicken, shrimp, onions, bell peppers, and gooey mozzarella cheese. Served with a side of guacamole and sour cream, it's an absolute flavor explosion! We also enjoyed some of the best margaritas and fried ice cream we've had in a long time. The place was packed, and it's easy to see why. We made a reservation for six at 6 PM on a Thursday, and every seat was filled! The atmosphere was buzzing, but the food and service made it all worth it. Definitely recommend this spot for an authentic, unforgettable Mexican meal!

We vacation in Englewood every year and Paraiso has been on our list of “must go” restaurants for years. We always make it here at least once during the trip and year over year, Paraiso consistently delivers the best service and excellent authentic food — there’s something on the menu for everyone, including your pickiest eaters. We are a group of 10 and we still get seated quickly any time we come. It’s a treat that we nearly always have Esteban taking care of us— he’s friendly, very funny, and incredibly attentive. I’ve tried many different menu items but my favorites are the Paraiso Chicken (order it as “happy chicken” if you have Esteban as your server, he’ll tell you how this menu item has a different name at every place haha) and the chimichangas— if you like veggies with your meat, the fajita chimichanga is the move! Overall, Paraiso is a family favorite. From strawberry margaritas to their incredible homemade salsa (made fresh daily — it’s far superior to most other similar restaurants), they’ve got the goods to serve up an incredible experience.

Englewoods On Dearborn Restaurant is a laid-back eatery and bar offering seafood and steak dishes, with the added charm of an outdoor courtyard and live blues bands. Located near Lemon Bay Park, it's situated on Dearborn Street, the original downtown of Old Englewood Village. This area is a hub for local restaurants, coffee shops, wine shops, gift shops, galleries, and retail boutiques.
Been a while since I stopped in to check out the EPIC Live Music and GREAT Euro Food. Had Schnitzel one week...went back for the Goulash...Both were DEEEELICIOUS! The music got better every week! MEMPHIS LIGHTNING was one of the most Amazing Bands...ever!

Had to pay $10 cover charge for dinner because the band was supposedly so popular but the place was half empty. Ordered 2 entrees that were both “sold out” at 6 pm. Spoke to manager who told me maybe I should go someplace else. Never been so aggravated at being treated that way in a restaurant. I’ll never go back to Englewoods on Dearborn ever again. We're visiting town and we dropped in for some drinks and music. It was absolutely fantastic! It was quite crowded and the manager came over and took us to a seat that had been reserved. There were four of us in our crowd and we were happy to get a place to sit next to the music. We had a wonderful time. Excellent service.

It was our first time here and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. There was live music outside and the vibe was jumping. I ordered the jager schnitzel and it was freaking phenomenal! My wife had the seafood special that was grouper with a garlic caper sauce, again, outstanding. Our server, Missy, was amazing in treating us like her only table and helping us out with dinner decisions. She recommended the bacon/mushroom gravy that I could have put on a shoe and it would have been delicious. We highly recommend Englewood's on Dearborn for the food and the music. Keep up the good work, crew!

It saddens me to have to write this review because I always loved coming to this restaurant for live music. I decided to bring my girlfriend here to se Twinkle a couple weeks ago and it was an absolute disaster. The food is over priced, the drinks were at “par” at best (meaning if it was supposed to cold it was warm, if it was warm (like red wine), it was boiling hot…. Twinkle also unfortunately was disorganized and the female lead singer cared more about socializing than singing. I would advise everyone to look at their menu and event calendar before going here, because there photos are deceiving.

La Stanza Ristorante is a charming Italian restaurant and bar located in Englewood, offering a cozy and inviting ambiance for a romantic dinner or special celebration. The menu features traditional Italian dishes such as pasta, steaks, seafood, and veal prepared with top-quality ingredients. While the atmosphere may be considered dated by some, the restaurant boasts an extensive selection of veal dishes that are highly praised by patrons.
We weren't planning on eating here, but decided to stop. We are glad we did! Our waiter, Billy, was great. He went over and above to make sure I got what I wanted. I was craving a meatball sub which wasn't on their menu, but he went ahead and got me Meatballs and fresh bread, so I could have my sub. The food was amazing. The parmesan crusted chicken was delicious as well as the vodka penne my wife had. Definitely recommend!

I had baked stuffed shrimp, and it was delicious. My husband got the lasagna, and he was not impressed. The beef was like tasteless mush. The French onion soup was also tasteless. My Malibu martini was great. Duncan was a great server, and very attentive.

Englewood needs a good restaurant but La Stanza won't fill the bill. The food (lasagna and veal Sorrentino) was average and lacked any pizzaz. The waitress Theresa, was slow (too busy?) and I needed to go to the hostess for help who was glad to assist. Happy hour meals are a few dollars cheaper. There was no wait to get seated.

Staff was very attentive and food arrived with proper timing between courses. Our table was appropriately cleared of empty dishes. Kale was a great waiter. Also, I appreciated having cloth napkins and tablecloth for a change! My husband and I both had veal cutlet parmesan which came with salad and bread. The cutlet was a nice portion and very tasty, but the linguine portion was a little skimpy. If you prefer a simple marinara sauce, you will be pleased. However, my husband would have liked a spicier sauce. We shared an order of tarimisu to end our meal. It was to die for! All being said, we had a pleasant evening and will definitely return.

Nestled along the serene waters of Oyster Creek, Ken & Barb's Grove City Kitchen is a delightful dining destination that has quickly captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike since its opening in 2020. This charming eatery offers a laid-back atmosphere complemented by exceptional service and an enticing menu that blends traditional favorites with innovative bar food.
Wanted to get back to Ken and Barbs in the off season. We were seated immediately and soon had our drinks. I was looking for the Hawaiian lion but they no longer have this beer. The server was on top of things and was very friendly and polite. I had the shrimp and grits which was delicious, definitely would order again, nice and cheesy. My wife had a chicken salad wrap with she really enjoyed. She said her pasta salad was dry and would not get again. We will be back soon when my grandson comes for a visit. Thanks.

Our server was Catherine, and she was excellent!!! I had the Potroast Patty Melt and Fries, the sandwich was tasty, and the fries were oh so yummy. My husband had the Steak Bomb Sandwich and Onion Rings. The sandwich was a little dry, but the onion rings were out of this world. The portions were large. The restaurant is beautiful, and there's tons of seating inside and out. The restaurant sits right on the water, and I would recommend sitting outside the view is absolutely stunning!!! I definitely recommend enjoying a meal and the view at this restaurant!!!

Stopped for lunch while in town. Had large walk up area and big doors so wheelchair accessible. We were able to sit right away. They have a large open area with tons of tables and a large bar with lots of seating as well. They had tables outside on a patio too. We had a small table next to a front window. They had great options on the menu and a large drink menu as well. Our server was little off but the food was amazing! Such large portions! We had to take some home!

So I gave it three stars because I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s usually good (not great) but good. This time around that was not the case. I got the Cajun chicken pasta and the Cajun was no where to be found. There was actually little to no seasoning anywhere, not the cream sauce or chicken. Honestly the most bland pasta dish I’ve ever had. The drinks and appetizers were good but it’s gonna be hard for me to return Side note: I ate most of it because I was very hungry

Review for Barb and Ken's We visited Barb and Ken’s during the quiet season and were impressed by the warm, friendly atmosphere. Our server was excellent—attentive, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. It’s clear that this would be a lively and inviting spot during the high season. That said, the food during our visit was disappointing. I had the grilled fish sandwich, which unfortunately had very little flavor and appeared to be a frozen piece of fish. However, the salad that came with it was fresh and quite good. My husband ordered the mussels Diablo, which was so spicy it was nearly inedible. The mussels themselves had that rubbery, gritty texture you often find with previously frozen seafood. I tried a small bite of the pasta, and it upset my stomach for the rest of the evening due to the extreme heat. Despite the food issues, the service was so good that we’re open to giving Barb and Ken’s another try—perhaps during the high season when the kitchen may be at its best. I’d love to see if the dining experience improves when they’re in full swing.

The server we had was great. We went twice and he already knew our drink order before we asked! Everyone was friendly and happy. There are so many options for food it is hard to decide! The portions are large and the food was great. The only drawback was some things we got were extremely salty. Like the tiny sliced onion rings. I couldn't even eat many they were so salty. Even the salad dressing was salty. They have all kinds of fun art all around the restaurant ans most of it is for sale.

Located on Dearborn Street, the Blue Pineapple Bistro offers a diverse menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant serves typical American favorites with a Gulf-inspired twist. One of the highlights is their impressive Bloody Marys that can almost serve as a meal on their own. Visitors have praised the wine-based Bloody Marys and enjoyed dishes like soft shell crab, shrimp pineapple, ceviche, and melon and prosciutto salad.
Had an absolutely amazing Bloody Mary and very yummy food!! The service was great, couldn't recommend this place more! They have a small bar as well as a good amount of outdoor seating, overall just a great atmosphere!

My husband and I had the best lunch at the Blue Pineapple Bistro! We were looking for a quick bite to eat with a yummy libation to accompany our meal and we found the right place. The service was absolutely incredible by our server Madison. My husband really enjoyed his wings and my Bloody Mary was on point! We will be back to visit soon. Next time I'm trying the mimosas!

This place feels like I'm in the Caribbean having fun on the beach. It is worth the drive. The menu is amazing as well as the service. The civeche and bloody Marys are too die for. We dined on a cool Florida day and they had these beautiful heating torches outside. I love love this place.

The best place in Englewood or surrounding area for breakfast or lunch. Owner/Chef takes great pride in what they do, and it is evident here. Wait staff extremely attentive, kind, and patient. Clean tables/chairs and bathroom. Handicap accessible as well. Food was amazing and very large portions for cost, great value. This will be my new regular spot for breakfast and lunch

Mama's Italian Restaurant is a beloved local gem that captures the essence of traditional Italian dining with its handspun NYC-style pizza and classic dishes. Nestled conveniently across from Farlows, it’s an ideal spot for families looking to enjoy hearty meals in a warm atmosphere. The restaurant offers delightful $1 drafts during happy hour, making it a perfect place to unwind after a long day.
Really great food tasted like authentic Italian. I ordered a large calzone w four toppings and my dad ordered a small and had like six toppings. The menu says small calzones will only have two toppings but they loaded it up. And his small was almost the same as my large. They are not stingy with their mozzarella and ricotta so i wouldnt order extra cheese. Full bar with beer on tap. Service was great highly recommend.

This is a great local "mom and pop" type restaurant. The food is good, the prices are reasonable. There is a dedicated parking lot out front, with plenty of parking spaces.

Great food! You can not beat everything they make. The only issue is since Ian they redid flooring to tile (which is wise) but now the noise level is exceeding loud and unable to carry on conversation. Next time we will get carry out. But will always order from Mama’s. The food is sooo good!

Can't understand how this "pizza" place won so many awards for great pizza? Just my humble opinion from a man who has been eating pizza from coast to coast, grew up in Chicago, spent many summers in NY,NJ,. I have tried tgin, thick, Pan, Deep dish, etc. This pizza is about a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. The place was clean, bathroom excellent, our server was attentive to all our needs.

Mama’s is a cozy little Italian restaurant with a large menu. Great pizza and awesome Stromboli along with many chicken, veal and pasta dishes. You can’t go wrong with a visit to Mama’s. Fast take out as well with large portions.

We ordered a pizza over the phone at 8:40 PM, knowing the restaurant closes at 9:00 PM. We weren’t sure if they'd take a late order, but they did which we appreciated. However, before my boyfriend even hung up, someone on the phone said, “Well, we close in 20 minutes so… we hope to see you before then,” which came off a little passive-aggressive. I get that late orders can be frustrating, but the tone just felt unnecessary. When we arrived around 8:50, one of the staff—who was younger and friendly—initially asked if we were picking up for someone else. After we corrected her, she smiled and went to check on our order. But then another woman smirked and said to her, “Well, you would’ve lost that bet,” and they both laughed. It felt like they were making jokes at our expense, which made the interaction a bit uncomfortable. That said, they did offer red pepper flakes and parmesan, which was a nice touch, and our pizza came out shortly after. The pizza was decent, and I know from past visits that their pasta is genuinely great. It’s a solid spot overall—just felt like the vibe from the staff this time around was a little off, which took away from the experience a bit.

Snook's Bayside Restaurant and Tiki Bar is a charming old Florida-style spot located right on Lemon Bay, offering a laid-back atmosphere and stunning water views. It's a popular choice for both locals and visitors, especially on weekends when live music adds to the ambiance. Boaters can also take advantage of the marina's rental boats for exploring the bay. The menu features an array of options including tacos, wraps, seafood, salads, nachos, and build-your-own burgers.
WOW!!! So upset that tomorrow is the last day. (1/31/24). Going to miss you guys. Easily my favorite place in Englewood. I think Monday after 4pm is my favorite....30 shrimp 4 different ways $25. When did shrimp get cheaper than wings? LMAO. Great views, boat and car accessible. Has became one of my favorite places for lunch/dinner.... Every server has been on point even when crazy busy. The dolphins came up right by sea wall. We've been there three times, twice by car and once by boat. The boil is probably my second favorite after the shrimp four ways #3 is the fritters. I'm just ranking because I rate places. You can't lose here. Great job Snook's!!!

Great local restaurant and bar. This is the perfect place to bring family and friends to relax and enjoy what Englewood has to offer. Right on Lemon Bay, this cute restaurant has lots of sitting with water views. The dolphins in this area are unreal. It was a rainy day but still perfect while sitting at the rail watching the dolphins play. The food service and atmosphere are a 10/10 for me. I love the laid-back atmosphere. They aren't rushing you to hurry up and leave. I will definitely be back.

We stopped down for some dinner and to watch the sunset. It was quite a bit breezy near the water. Our waitress was quite attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the chicken Alfredo pasta with garlic bread special they had. The sunset was gorgeous. We really enjoyed the atmosphere.

We really enjoyed our food... A shrimp poor boy and a grilled grouper sandwich. Service by Tyler was friendly and attentive. The place was pretty quiet since we ate early so we had a chance to chat with him for a while. He's new to this restaurant, but obviously wasn't new to food service. This restaurant has really improved since we were here 4 years ago and this time we'll come back pretty soon.

This place is such a vibe! We went for the sunset, waterfront views, outdoor seating, and live music. Snook’s did not disappoint. Loved the cornmeal batter on the fish platter. It was seasoned well and the fish was moist. My seafood po boy was full of fried oysters and the sauce on the sandwich was delicious. To top it off, our waitress was awesome. She suggested the rum bucket and it was amazing! Definitely will be a regular here.

UPDATED May/2022 We really love going here but the staff is very limited. It takes forever to order food and than longer to get it. You now have to basically go stand on line inside at the bar if you want to get a drink. Yes even if you have table service. They have great bands schedule but they always seem to be canceling for one reason or another. Yes part of it is due to the rain but not always. Make sure you check their Facebook page before you go there to make sure they are open. END UPDATE . . . The food was very good, you got what you paid for. The drinks were nice and cold. The atmosphere, along with the live band and gorgeous sunset, made the place feel romantic and yet laid back. It's always nice when you can sit outside with family and friends right on the water!

The place is way bigger than it looks. Plenty of parking and some spots for boat docking. Great view and good food. The fried shrimp was delicious.

Sitting at the last table next to the fryer...OMG the noise... and smell.. Plates were scarred and worn... that's fine.. I get that at home... but I had 3 eggs and bacon...How can you screw that up? Presentation was horrible...food was blah... The only good thing was we had like five waitresses asking us if everything was okay... This is so not their fault... This place needs an upgrade or it needs to close. Yuk.

I had breakfast at Spinnaker Cafe while visiting my parents in Florida, and it was such a great experience. It’s been a while since I’ve gone out for breakfast, and this place reminded me how nice it is to sit down and enjoy a good meal in a cozy, family-style spot. Our server Lorrie was awesome, and Kelly jumped in to help a few times too. Both had such positive, happy energy and were super attentive without us ever needing to ask for anything. The busser had a bright neon octopus hat on, which honestly added a fun touch to the whole vibe. I ordered the Big Breakfast and it was perfect. Definitely had to take some leftovers home because they don’t mess around with portion sizes. Everything came out hot, fresh, and made just right. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing, and the service felt personal in the best way. If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot with friendly people and a warm atmosphere, Spinnaker Cafe is the place.

Prices went up more than 15% again. Too many places to eat same food for far less expense. There is nothing about inflation that warrants their increases. Too bad since the people are nice. It’s breakfast and the place is far from fancy. $40 to $50 with tip for two is worth going somewhere else.
Keith B — Google review
Just moved to the area and gave Spinnaker Cafe a try. We are so glad we did. We had breakfast and it was prepared just the way we ordered it and it was delicious. But wait. There's more. We went over to pay and looked in their bakery case. I have a massive sweet tooth and had to try some of the goods. I had THE best eclair. Tons of custard and fudge. Fantastic. Ordered 2 muffins corn and coffee cake. They are the size of a small cantaloupe. Absolutely delicious. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed

Comadres is a delightful gem nestled on Dearborn St., offering a vibrant array of traditional Mexican dishes in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. With outdoor seating that allows you to soak up the lively surroundings, it's an ideal spot for casual dining. The menu features beloved classics like burritos and tacos, all prepared with fresh ingredients. Guests rave about the homemade Southwest Rolls, warm chips paired with outstanding salsa, and the exceptional service provided by friendly staff members.
Beautiful artsy interior, fast & friendly service, better than any other Mexican food I’ve had so far in Englewood, and just perfect tonight as I was too tired to cook and didn’t feel like going to one of our usual favorite loud, bustling places.
ElaineCoop — Google review
I will start with the chips and salsa, it was really average, the salsa wasn't that great and a little too chunky for my liking. Next we ordered drinks, after we got the margaritas, I asked if they were wine margaritas because they tasted funny, it was confirmed they were. They were some of the weakest margaritas you can get for the price, when you're paying over $5 for a margarita, you want at least a little bit of alcohol in them. Now onto the meals, we ordered the chicken finger basket just to see how they were, I would say they were a little worse than you would get from Burger King or McDonald's, plus the fries were terrible! The Mexican food was below average, the rice was okay, refried beans were a little watery, but that's how I like them. The portion size you get for the price is terrible, everything in this restaurant was overpriced for what you got, to sum it up I will never be coming back. You can find a Tex-Mex restaurant around that is so much better, if you live in the area any of the colored tequila restaurants are so much better. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but we waited over 35 minutes for our food, that's terrible for this kind of restaurant. The only positive thing I have to say is about the staff, they were friendly, but we didn't see them as much as we wanted to.
Blink8533 — Google review
This was my second visit to comadres. The first time I sat down inside to eat, food was fair but I was very surprised at the portion sizes-small yet still priced at regular rate. I chose to give them another try for lunch and did take out this time. I was disappointed in the entire experience. The chicken in my chimichangas was completely dry, I suspect it was chicken possibly cooked a day prior. The beans, like in other reviews are incredibly watery. Possibly canned and mixed with water to create larger batches to serve? I was anticipating a serving similar to what you would get served at the table when I ordered the chips and salsa. The salsa tasted quite different than the time prior. The food unfortunately went to waste and was a disappointment. I was also unaware they are charging more at the restaurant than the prices on the menu that they have displayed on their website. The lunch special I thought I was ordering his advertised at $8.95, as you can see I was charged $10.45. Too disappointed to return.
Nichole — Google review
Terrible. Salsa tastes like tomato paste. Queso was just like milk. And it was $9 for a tiny serving!! One other group was there and they were just as disappointed.

But the manager swooped in and handled it brilliantly with no hurt feelings.

Just finished pressed Italian Panini with fries. When it arrived, I told the bartender, Stephanie, that they weren't fries but chips. She said I could get a different side if I wanted to. Food was good, bartender was a bit standoffish. Asked for ID which is okay but gave an attitude and a demeaning look when doing so. Vibe of the restaurant was completely thrown off by her attitude. Geraldi's offers exceptional pizzas that rival the authentic New York style. Their 'Mama Mia' and Cheese varieties are both delectable, with generous and fresh toppings atop a perfect crust. While the prices may be higher, the pizza's quality justifies it. However, there can be a wait depending on the time of visit due to limited seating in the cozy restaurant. Geraldi's also provides delicious subs alongside their star attraction – pizza.

A Vacation Find I’ll Never Forget! ☕🍽️🐝 While exploring the area on vacation, I happened upon this incredible little coffeehouse—and I’m still dreaming about it! From the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and every single person working there was so friendly and welcoming. It instantly felt like a local favorite, and now I know why. The food was absolutely amazing. I tried a savory roll that was perfectly flaky and flavorful—just the right balance of comfort and indulgence. The scones were hands-down the best I’ve ever had: buttery, tender, and just the right amount of sweetness. And then… the Bumblebee Latte. Wow. It was the perfect combination of honeyed sweetness and rich espresso—unlike anything I’ve tasted before. I’ve honestly been craving it ever since! This coffeehouse is the kind of place you wish you could bring back home with you. Delicious food, wonderful drinks, and even better people. If you’re anywhere near it, do yourself a favor and stop in. You’ll be so glad you did!

I think there are coffee ice cubes in my iced coffee, so as they melt I don't get watered down coffee, but rather more iced coffee. Talk about attention to detail! Also, delicious baked goods!

There is no other coffee shop I would consider going to after going to the Dearborn. The service is incredible. The atmosphere is so fun being able to watch the bakers make incredible baked goods for everyone is so enjoyable the owners what fun there’s always something going on people always there people that you get to know and say hello to and it’s just the best place to be

Sooo many coffee choices. I had a black and tan latte. Coffee, cocoa, peanut butter and almond milk. Vegan scone warmed was delicious. They got very busy and forgot two in our party’s order then almost charged them again. It all worked out. Sat outside 8:30 am. Very nice.

Sports bar
Libee's Sports Bar & Grill is a hidden gem located in a seemingly rundown plaza, offering a diverse menu that goes beyond typical sports bar fare. Despite its classification, the interior exudes an upscale steakhouse ambiance, and the spacious patio provides ample seating for patrons. Recent reviews have mentioned some decline in service quality and menu issues, but overall, the food is well-received and reasonably priced.
A group of us went out for pizzas. Thin crust, fresh dough, lots of toppings and great price. Next time, we’ll try to build our own. Had enough for supper too. Score!

We always have such a great time here, the servers are super friendly and always nice and fast. We love the Lebee’s burger and the Nutella calzone desert is to die for! We went there for Father’s Day and had really good specials. Overall, I recommend this place.

Had the margherita pizza and some French fries. Delicious, and enjoyed sitting outside.

We were in Libee's for College football and a draft beer. They have a very nice selection of craft and local brewery beers . We ordered the Meatball al Forno. It is prepared in the pizza open. Three oversized meatballs. With delicious sauce and toasted buttered chibatta bread. The thing that made the meatballs unique was they added ricotta to the mozzarella over the top. Delicious!

Takeout is off to a fantastic start when the friendly hostess (Faith) answers the phone. Service-orientated and super sweet, she even made recommendations. Pizza was thin crust and classic brick oven, absolutely perfect! The cheese curds were very good, just needed more sauce. Wedge salad-very generous portion. French onion soup was delicious and no skimping on cheese! For those who remember the “old” bars in this space, you won’t recognize it. It’s clear a lot of effort has been made to turn this into a fun, local hangout with high quality food. Will order again soon.

Great sports bar and awesome foot. There are lots of TVs to watch the game. Very updated decor and modern food list! We loved the French onion soup. I enjoyed my fried green tomato BLT. Truffle tots were crisp and tasty!

Beachcomber Trading Post is a charming spot located on Lemon Bay, just off Beach Rd as you enter Manasota Key. Visitors can enjoy delicious grilled or blackened fish sandwiches and other tasty treats while taking in great views and relaxing in comfy chairs. The friendly staff, including owners Carol and Pete, create a welcoming atmosphere that adds to the overall experience. Whether it's for a light breakfast or lunch, this place offers delightful options like blackened ahi tuna and veggie wraps.
It is a cute place with a lovely outside eating area. We went at lunchtime on Burger Monday and had burgers. They actually made a perfect medium rare hamburger which I have not had in a very long time. The price was fantastic, as well. Other menu items are a little pricey. We plan to try them for breakfast later. We will definitely eat there again!

Excellent! We were greeted at the entrance of the parking lot by the owner himself and he helped us park. We were seated immediately and chose to sit outdoors. Awesome atmosphere as they had live music and the weather was perfect for having breakfast on the water. The food was delicious and service exceptional. We witnessed the owner and wait staff helping a boat dock as well. I highly recommend this place! I wish I would have taken more photos but this is one of the view from our table.

Beachcomber is a lovely place to eat, it has spectacular seating on the water and plenty of it. The particular dish I ordered (wish I could remember) was a bit bland, but the burgers are phenomenal and so are the fries. The menu is small as well, so there’s only a few options unless you’re going to the specials menu. They had a great selection of drink specials, but what really made this place great was the AMAZING baked goods and coffee inside. If you catch yourself passing the area and don’t have time to sit and eat, the pastries and coffee alone make it worth a stop in. There’s also an extremely friendly and adorable cat that likes to hangout out front so that definitely earned this place some points.

We had such a great experience here! The drinks were spot on — refreshing and perfectly made. The highlight, though, was the strawberry shortcake dessert… absolutely incredible! Light, fresh, and so delicious — truly the best place we went in Englewood! Highly recommend!

Such a clean and aesthetic restaurant! There was so much seating, indoor and outdoor. The menu is limited though the prices are reasonable and there are many drink options! I really enjoyed the mahi fish sandwich, fries, and sweet tea :) Great option for a meal or snack while in the Manasota Key area! Would recommend :)

We were actually kind of disappointed with our experience at Beachcomber. I have not left many non-5-star reviews. The menu selection was small, and really only offered very basic options that seemed like they could make with a minimal kitchen. The service was also very slow; we actually wondered if we’d been forgotten about after ordering drinks. We did really enjoy the views and vibe. There was live music, and we actually saw a dolphin swimming around in the canal. We also saw a pelican and snowy egret.
Diane F — Google review
Beautiful views, great food, super nice family! We absolutely love this place. UPDATE: been back 4 or 5 times, wonderful every time. Saw dolphins up close in the canal. Pelicans diving. Watching the boats come & go. OMG try the BOOZY DOLE!! Staff are always so nice. Live music often. This place is magical and is my favorite.

Really can’t say enough great things about this place. Family owned, beautiful setting, great management. You instantly feel like you’re on vacation in the tropics. You won’t be treated better anywhere else. They truly care about their customers and treat them with empathy and run their business with a high level of integrity.

Delicious coffee and breakfast sandwiches! Wish there were more dairy free breakfast options, but I was able to take the cheese off of anything. One note, the staff kept using inappropriate slurs behind the counter loudly. I think chatting is great, but not that kind. I would definitely come again!

Ricaltini's Bar and Grille is a beloved spot in Englewood, known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse menu that beautifully blends American, Italian, and seafood dishes. For over 14 years, this casual venue has attracted both locals and visitors alike with its delicious offerings like their famous onion rings—thick-cut sweet onions enveloped in a flavorful breading.
I absolutely love working here! My coworkers are awesome! And Matt the pizza guy is an excellent pizza/ Calzone maker! I really appreciate the fact that I can go to work and meet new people and see the bands! My favorite bands are Rob Benton, Dirty Little Secrets, Swinging Bridge And Mike.....*I can't pronounce his last name he's the guy that walks around with his guitar around the tables and wears a fedora* they are my favorite performers. I also love the fact that I can walk to work!!!! You guys are AWESOME! Y'all are like my family I love y'all so much!

We've had dinner here a few times and eventhou the service is usually very slow the food was always good. Their prime rib and fish and chips dinners are always delicious. They have some great salads as well and an awesome liver and onions dinner. We tired them for lunch over the weekend and we must have gotten the slowest waitress ever. The Philly steak and turkey club sandwiches were both excellent. The grilled chicken sandwich was extremely dry and loaded with black pepper, and no it wasn't a blackened sandwich either. My son in law did their hamburger challenge. He ordered it medium rare and it came out so well done he said it was like eating saw dust. It seems this place is a hit and miss kinda place depending on who's in the kitchen. They do have live music on the weekends and it's always nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy a cold beverage.

We went to Ricaltini's for the Let's Eat Englewood Event and stayed for the entertainment; Everett Farrell. Dinner was one of the best we've had so far and if those little crab cake balls aren't are the regular menu, they should be! I managed a few pics of apps and salad but dinner looked so fantastic that we jumped right in and I didn't get photos of those plates.
Linda E — Google review
Visited early evening on March 24, the place was crowded and very loud, plus the band was very loud don't go there with a headache. The waitstaff was pleasant and prompt. The food was good, however there is a oscillating fan mounted to the blue painted wall that was on, when I looked up at it only to find it disgustingly dirty like it hasn't been cleaned in years, so we turned it off. I then started looking around and found numerous dirty walls, a dirty speaker hanging over another table where people were eating. Outside of building no better. That building needs a hellova cleaning and new paint. Attached are a few pics.

Great, laid back eatery. Food was great and affordable. I had the fish tacos. There was live entertainment and outdoor games set up for use. Will definitely go back.

Food is good, I've already tried the wings, bisque, ahi tuna, crab cakes (the taste of the peppers is really strong, didn't like it), fried ravioli, basket of fried fish... Glass of wine is big Staff are really friendly. The environment is nice, but inside has a strong smell of wood. It is a good place, and I like to go there when I am in the area.

Nice neighbor restaurant. Live music. My wife had the grouper basket, came with 3 large pieces, she really enjoyed it. I had the seafood Diablo, spicy but not to hot. Lots of seafood in it. The seafood bisque was quite tasty also. They do smoke in the back where the live band is though. Good bar with craft beers as well.

Friendly welcome, great service and incredible meal. First time I've seen grilled romaine on a menu, and it was delicious to the last bite. Husband's fish tacos excellent as well. And the appetizer soft shell crab on brioche was incredible
Readontheroad — Google review
Zeke’s came recommended by local friends so we stopped in at 1:00 on a Friday to treat ourselves to a quick burger. The friends said the burgers were particularly good. They were only pretty good. Cooked the way I like but with a dry bun. They weren’t very busy but it took 40 minutes for our food to arrive at the table. French fries tasted previously frozen. I know they’re all frozen but these tasted it. Had to ask for and wait for ketchup and mustard all the while the top bun is off and my hamburger is getting colder by the minute. I saw the server had to deliver food to another table before she brought my ketchup. I guess you have to prioritize but at the expense of my burger cooling off after a 40 minute wait! It was a $30. lunch including tip, iced tea and a coffee. Not worth it. It wasn’t awful but they need to work on it.

Absolutely fantastic. Great service and great food. I would definitely go back! One son had the pancakes and the other got the cinnamon roll. Both were excellent. Lobster cake was delicious, and I loved the salad on my wife's tacos!

Loved the food . We would have preferred to sit outside but the smoke made us go back inside. I had the cheese soup, which was awesome. We shared the fish dip which was very tasty as well. We got seated quick and the beer and apps came quickly. We had a new waiter and he forgot the salads. They arrived quickly once we mentioned it. I thought about forgetting the salad but glad I didn’t. The Caesar salad was one the best I had in a long time! My wife had the pollo ranchero, she loved it. I had the Cobia Florentine and it was fantastic. If we could have sat outside and got our salads this would be 5 stars. I know there is nothing you can do about the smokers outside. Thanks everyone

Our first time here today for lunch and we absolutely loved it. Everything was fresh and delicious and there was something on the menu for everyone. Our server Shannon was really nice and accommodating. We will definitely be back to try breakfast and dinner!
Danielle — Google review
This review is challenging. As you pull up, it looks kind of like an old bar with a large covered front porch with several dining tables. A rickety wood deck area to the left and a gravel parking area. At first glance of the inside, it reminded me of a family style pizza joint, with a large full bar toward the back. We were seated immediately in a large comfortable booth. Our server, Shannon, took our drink order quickly as we looked at the huge menu. The food selection was incredible. Several very 'up scale' items, that can only be accomplished by a chef, with very reasonable prices. My husband chose the 'Black & Bluesy' sirloin, I chose Linguini Alfredo with Grilled Shrimp. Our drinks arrived, a craft draft and a Long Island. That was the strongest Long Island I've ever had and I could only drink 1/2 of it. I'm kind of a picky eater, I didn't care for the mixed greens salad, but my husband loved it. The Clam Chowder was delicious. The Alfredo was bland, but the shrimp were PERFECT. The steak was AMAZING. It was cooked perfectly, but very salty. My overall take on Zeke's is.. the food is GREAT ! Don't let the appearance keep you away...
Stacey M — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed the food when it was finally delivered to the table. They are advertising for help and it is needed. They could easily earn 5 star's if the food was delivered in a reasonable time frame. They were not busy so the help is needed. All the restaurants in the area are in need of help.
David M — Google review
This is a great place to get breakfast. My only complaint is that they ran out of regular coffee by 10am on a Sunday. Luckily the decaf tasted delicious. The food was amazing, my husband and I both got the Ruby Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. The crab cakes they sat on were beyond yummy. We found out that was what the started with, the best crab cakes around! The service was great, the waiter was kind and friendly. Highly recommend!

Visitors have praised the delicious food, such as the Great Dad Breakfast and grilled chicken sandwich. The service is described as friendly and prompt, with attentive staff. The restaurant has a clean and bright interior but can get loud when full due to its popularity.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down the best breakfast in Englewood! I walked in and my eyes grew wide at the bakery case—fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, muffins, croissants, all calling my name. I debated between the BLT (which looked fantastic as one was served nearby) but went with the goat cheese & mushroom omelette—absolutely delicious. My husband, of course, being the bodybuilder, stayed on the healthy side, while I went full-on enjoyment. The food was amazing, the vibe was upbeat and happening, and everything about the experience was top notch. Can’t wait to come back!

OMG!!! THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! Everything you would ever need is there, bikes, kayaks, paddleboards, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc..! I can’t really say enough great things about this place, or about the owner. W have rented from Peter many times over the years and each year we are consistently impressed. This year was especially amazing, due to the devastation of the homes surrounding this little piece of paradise. It was so clear that Peter and his team have worked tirelessly over the last several months to get this place ready for guests. Everything was perfect, and we especially enjoyed the brand new outdoor showers, the large tv at the backyard tiki hut, the brand new bikes, the beach carts, the kayaks, and all of the details that made us so appreciative and so comfortable away from home. Although the area will never be the same, it was so comforting to be back in this place again, to see friendly faces doing really hard work, and to see the effect true grit and resilience difficult times. Thank you!

Nice budget older accommodations about a three block walk from the beach and about a five block walk to the kayak/SUP launch in the state park. The one bedroom units had window A/C units that did the job but we're loud. A positive if you like white noise but a negative if you don't. With them off or turned on low, sounds from outside and the neighboring units are very pronounced, especially what seemed like constant footsteps from above. The convenience of the bikes, kayaks, grill, beach chairs etc. was a nice touch. They have handcarts to pull the kayaks to the launch in the state park, where sometimes you're charged a launch fee of $2 per person and sometimes you're not. The pool is nowhere near the unit and is a community pool a 15 minute drive across the drawbridge and back on the mainland The rooms themselves do not have a washer and dryer, but there is a shared laundry with one washer and one dryer for all of the units. Unfortunately, the people who used them before us broke both of them our last night, and we did not find out until the spin cycle didn't work, leaving us with swamped soapy clothes. After hand wringing our clothes, we learned that the dryer was also broken. We called the manager, but the owner and manager were not willing to fix it that night and did not call us back. The realtor/manager was the go between and seemed annoyed that we bothered to call. In the end, we wrung out as much soapy water from our clothes as we could and dried what we could with the towels and iron, but we still had to pack our suitcases with very damp clothes that did not dry hanging over night. To Peter, the owner in response to your response, we did let the agent know about our own laundry. I called twice. The second time she sent us to voicemail and never called back. Also, I think most everyone can relate to how long a block is. Your measurements in time assumes someone is walking a mile in 5 minutes. Most people don't walk that fast. I was trying to give people a more accurate description of the distances, which aren't far, but which you're still underestimating.

My family was the very first to stay in this unit. It’s quaint, quiet, and clean! We had such an amazing week. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Having the pool right outside our back door and watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade from the tiki bar while enjoying OJ and cinnamon rolls was nothing short of amazing. For our thanksgiving dinner we made a low country boil with fresh shrimp and crab legs and we had everything we needed to make a delicious meal. The landscaping is so beautiful. We took family pictures around the property to use on our Christmas card this year. With the tall trees, etc, it feels very private. We took out the kayaks and paddle boards a few times and enjoyed it every time. We also rode the bicycles a few times too! The bikes and kayaks, life vests, sand buckets, etc make your stay that much better. Stump pass park is a short walk down the street. There’s always an abundance of shells and sharks teeth to be found. The neighborhood is so quiet and relaxed we absolutely love it. Perfect for our family! We stayed at Stump Pass Place in 2018 with Peter and MaryJo (same owners) and our stay was just as wonderful. They are the cleanest units I’ve ever stayed in and Peter and MaryJo are sweet people and super easy to work with. They take pride in their properties and it shows! I’m one who appreciates that! If you have even the slightest issue, I can guarantee that Peter will be there within 10mins. Thank you for having us again! We hope to see you soon!! We are freezing in West Virginia 😆

On the other hand, they have a beautiful outdoor area with a bar and live music. It's fantastic. The food was so delicious! They serve Polish and American food. Everything was perfect. We had the nicest waitress serving us with diligence and kindness.

We give Artur’s a big fat 4 only because it is casual dining. The food is great and the beer is frosty because there is a snow well built into the bar! Very clean and the Tiki patio is beautiful! Bang bang shrimp tacos on Tuesday so yummy👍

I had the fried haddock with French fries and a salad. The fish was fresh, moist, and cooked well. My second time eating here and the service was good and they have Pepsi products (I like Pepsi better).

After hearing about Arturs from a friend, we had the opportunity to visit. Had a great meal and enjoyed a couple drinks and some conversation with friends on the outdoor covered bar area. Plenty of shaded seating, many TV's, very nice atmosphere. Everyone in group enjoyed their meal and our waitress, Courtney? was friendly and professional. The owner also stopped by our table, super nice. Will return.

Just had lunch and food was great and came quick. One thing that stands out is how exceptional the waiter and manager were. I sat next to a grouchy and unreasonable old lady. She demanded the drink was too pricey compared to what it was 8 years ago and compared to she would have got from a grocery store. The waiter Kuba and the lady manager kept calm and patiently explained this was 2025 and this establishment was a restaurant. The old nagging lady kept complaining while drinking. What amazing staff and customer service!

Lighthouse Grill and Tiki Bar is a charming waterfront eatery with a relaxed, open-air ambiance featuring vibrant Adirondack chairs. Guests have praised the friendly staff and delightful American cuisine. While some enjoyed the scenic views and delicious dishes such as pork nachos and fried chicken, others found the food to be satisfactory but not exceptional. The location offers stunning views of the Intercoastal Waterway, making it a must-visit spot for a pleasant meal whether arriving by boat or land.
We hadn’t been back to Lighthouse since the hurricane last year. We came on an oat today with a group of friends. Our server did a great job! It’s back and better than ever- the lighthouse bar is especially beautiful!

Looking for a place to get away from all of the worries of life and have a day of total relaxation in a different world, then come to the lighthouse Tiki Bar and Restaurant. Most importantly, ask for the waitress Brooke, as she was amazing and demonstrated a rare ability to be responsive to us and always attentive to her multiple tables that she was waiting on. I think that's one of the things that struck me the most was that no matter what we were doing or when we were eating, she was consistently walking around making eye contact with her customers to make sure that if they needed anything that she was responsive. Great music and a carefree place in the beach.

I have had lunch here many times and have always left satisfied. Staff ( today was Courtney ) are very friendly and down to earth. They always give me an honest opinion and in the past steered my family away from certain menu items. Although all the food has been great. The newly renovated bathrooms are a welcomed addition and the bar at the lighthouse has a great vibe to it. Scenery can’t be beat in any chair in the place.

Great spot for lunch! They had the catch of the day and several other daily specials! I had the fried grouper reuben sandwich, it was so delicious! Price point is good! We noticed a sign that said they are dog friendly as well, if that is something you need. Lisa our waitress/hostess was amazing! Make sure to stop here when in town!

A Slice of Paradise on the Water Every visit to Lighthouse Grill feels like a lucky strike. Living here, we are constantly having those quick, last-minute "let's go to Lighthouse Grill and get a bite and a great drink" moments, and they always hit the spot. You can't beat the experience of enjoying a meal with these incredible views on the water. It’s a wildlife lover's dream! You can spot fish, pelicans, and even dolphins—it’s truly a beautiful place and the perfect backdrop for a great time with friends. Culinary Delights and Sweet Service I get so lucky every single time with the sweetest servers; they really make the experience memorable. But let's talk about my favorite dish: the Coconut Shrimp! It is hands-down the best, especially with that incredible homemade Piña Colada sauce 🥥😋. Seriously, if you come here, you must try it. Pair that with a great drink 🥂, and you've found your new happy place. A Quick Note for Management (and Patrons!) To the management: Please, please, please don't raise the shades up in the afternoon. They provide much-needed relief from the sun! And to my fellow patrons, a friendly warning: watch where you walk and be careful not to bump your head on the shades 😂. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it's a cherished part of our lives here in Paradise, and I can't recommend it highly enough!

My husband and I hold a special place in our hearts for this place. We found it by a Google search while in town to start building our forever home. We went back to celebrate our one year anniversary of being Floridians. Thanks to our server, Faye, we had the absolute best time ever! She took such great care of us for the entire 4 hrs we were there! She gave us the best service we've ever had! She was so welcoming and attentive! She really made our evening special! We have been to Lighthouse Grill about 8-10 times since we first found it.

Seared tuna appetizer was some of the freshest tuna I’ve found. Plate had a nice presentation, sauce had just the right slight kick to it. Hats off to the Kitchen staff. Well done. Bartender was prompt and courteous. Did a great job of follow up. Location on the water makes it a go to dining spot.

Nicola's Italian Kitchen is a beloved establishment that has been delighting patrons with its homemade Italian cuisine for years. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for families, ensuring everyone feels at home. Diners rave about the delicious pizza, which many consider to be among the best in Englewood. A recent visit highlighted their creamy gnocchi Alfredo, which left a lasting impression on one guest, while others enjoyed hearty lasagna and delightful cheese ravioli.
Food tastes amazing, I'm wondering if everything was picked fresh from a garden. All the staff was very helpful and extremely happy i could tell they love their jobs. Management walked around and checked on table after table to ensure expectations were met, and I'm telling you they blew me away with the quality. Highly recommend.

We’ve had takeout pizza from Nicolas a few times since they reopened—absolutely delicious every time! Honestly, it’s probably the best pizza we’ve had since moving to Englewood. But our recent dine-in experience took it to another level. We made reservations for dinner two nights ago, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I had the gnocchi with Alfredo—creamy, rich, and truly to die for. My husband had the lasagna, which he loved, and our kids enjoyed their cheese ravioli and spaghetti. Every dish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We’ll definitely be back again soon. A fantastic experience all around!

The food was just fine, but I can't say that about the wait staff. It took forever just to get menus, but once we did it was fine. The food was pretty good, the only problem was the price. All the food was overpriced, it was just ridiculous. I expect these prices from an Italian restaurant, but not for the food we got. I won't be going back to this place, this is my second time and my final. I would give it four stars for the food and two stars for the price. On top of that they didn't even have a drink menu, seriously everyone has a drink menu. The waitress came around maybe every other time you would like them to come around, for the price I can get so much more from somewhere else and better wait staff. Edit: I spent $21 on a personal 12-in pizza and didn't get a salad. How much do you need to spend on a personal pizza to get a salad? I know the really dinky, but I guess there isn't a price. Their response was terrible, trust me I get a better value at Olive garden.

We had the best experience at Nicola's!! We made reservations for their soft opening Thursday night. It was a wonderful experience to see them finally open their doors after 2 years. We live near by and saw the strength and resilience to build back after hurricane Ian. Now, a beautifully renovated, cozy restaurant. Greeted warmly by the entire team . The owner Tina was so gracious to everyone in the restaurant. Stopping at each table ensuring everything was going well . The service, Karissa was awesome as our server. Attentive, and personable. Food, Service everything was top notch!! I wish I took pictures. We were overwhelmed. We will be returning very soon!! Thank you, and The Best of Wishes!! Steve and Karen

I can’t say enough about heather she was amazing so nice, high energy and very welcoming from the moment I placed my to go order on the phone to heather helping me carry my pizza to my car. She was the best and will return just to see her. We had chicken parm with spaghetti, gnocchi with Alfredo sauce I added ham and peas, Caesar salad, fries, a large pizza, garlic knots, 2 side salads and cannoli for dessert everything was fresh, hot and homemade. We only live 3 minutes away so we will definitely be back. The place looks great were very grateful they’re open again. Thank you again heather for making my night!

We had a wonderful "first-time-but-won't-be-our-only" experience today. We had pizzas and a side of meatballs. It was all so good. The pizza crust was thin and crisp ❤️❤️. The meatballs were a meal themselves so we left stuffed. The service was great too!

Hubby and I came for dinner. No reservations but we were seated immediately. The service was good. The food was also good! I could see staff consistently cleaning tables and chairs after each table was vacated. I appreciate their dedication to that, however it made the wood chairs somewhat sticky, and I had to peel myself off the chair when it was time to go. - Ambiance was nice, real tablecloths and small candles on tables, etc.

Nestled in a cozy corner of Englewood, The New Faull Inn is the perfect low-key bar and grill that captures the essence of a charming mom-and-pop diner. With its inviting atmosphere, it offers an array of delicious pizzas, sandwiches, and classic comfort food. Diners rave about the friendly staff who make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
Excellent pizza. Generous toppings and a flavorful crust. Gluten free crust tastes just like it was made with flour. We had one issue. Of our 3 pizzas, 1 was made incorrectly. I called, went back and they had the replacement ready and waiting. Great customer service.
William P — Google review
Our company orders food from the New Faull Inn all the time but this was our first time dining in. My wife and I had a great experience during our visit. The atmosphere was quite memorable that of a small mom and pops diner. The waitress sat us down and provided menus promptly. We would've ordered more food because everything we've tried at our company functions were phenomenal. However, since this was supposed to be a light meal we just ordered a small pizza and potato skins. The pizza was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Next, the potato skins were our favorite and were filling. The food came out in a timely manor which gave us a little time to enjoy the other patrons cheery vibe. If you have a chance to stop by we highly recommend The New Faull Inn and don't let the exterior mislead what wonders await inside. A slice of home town cooking where folks can enjoy great food and have some laughs.

New Faull Inn is very casual with tables, booths, and a nice bar space. Its been too hot to sit outside but it looks inviting for when the cool weather hits. The staff is friendly and the pizza seems to be the locals favorite. Lots of carry out orders being picked up. Both times we have gone we ordered the large Special Pizza - asked to sub out the sausage for ham ... no problem. Ordered it well done or crispy and it was really good. The crust has a nice, crispy, buttery, slightly garlicy flavor which is spot on for our liking. The beers are ice cold and they have draft and bottles. Worth a visit for sure.

We went to The Faull Inn for a flatbread and a cold drink. We have always really enjoyed the food but the last two times we have gone there the flatbread was again not very good. We sure miss the great flatbread we've had in the past.

Best garlic knots around. Nice and moist. Great taste and they add marinara sauce on side without asking. Large cheese pie rocks and my teenage daughters loved it. Beautiful place with a family atmosphere and a warm professional attention from Megi, what I liked the most was having my brunch and trying the Texas hamburger. I don't give it 5 stars because it only has breakfast but if they had more offers like lunch and dinner they would have a 5 plus. But without a doubt, I would go back again just to experience their food which begins in October.

Additionally, this diner has recently introduced a new menu for nighttime dining from 2pm to 8pm every Monday through Saturday. Stop in for lunch, I ordered a Reuben sandwich. It got to my table really quick, and it was delicious. As soon as I took a bite, WOW was heard from me. The french fries were really good too. And Kelley, my server was supper friendly and attentive. Great place for lunch.

Good Times Diner wasn’t much of a good time, but we made the best of the hand that was dealt to us. The Pros: Large menu with lots to choose from. Plenty of seating and it was well spaced out. Parking was easy. The coffee was good. The pancakes were outstanding. Really outstanding. The Cons: Good lord, where do I start? The service was fairly terrible. Our sever didn’t know the menu when asked about a dish or two. Then, she took our order wrong resulting in food we didn’t really want but were billed for. Prices on the menu didn’t match what we were charged for other items. They were out of bagels. We asked twice for “well done, crispy, bacon”, that didn’t happen. Drink refills were sparse. The tables were cluttered with everything you could possible want, and more cutting into the usable space. In the hallway to the restroom were soaking pans for what looked like utensils, and I think it probably has tadpoles in the water. Next to that was a large, open, garbage can where they scraped the waste and trash. It was out in the open and disgusting. Anyway, guess they are short on kitchen space if they have to keep that stuff in customer plain view. Perhaps we just got them on a bad day, that’s possible. Get burned twice, shame on me; we’ll try another spot next time.
Beep; B — Google review
Went to Good Times Diner for breakfast . No healthy items or many side options, and what we ordered was not so good. Scrambled eggs were flat, overcooked, brown, and dry. Bacon was good; crispy and warm. Omelet also overcooked and brown. Barely any cheese. Hash browns were tasteless, and english muffin was barely toasted; soft and chewy and was "buttered" with something that did not taste like real butter before it arrived to the table. Coffee was very good, but hard to get a refill. Old and dark booths, but clean. Breakfast for two included scrambled eggs & bacon (no sides), omelet with 4 toppings/hash browns/english muffin, and 2 coffees... with tip $35.

Walked in and saw that it was a traditional diner and absolute love these things. I only had a small fry as we were waiting to get a haircut, but the service was phenomenal. They were on top of everything and totally above and beyond with making sure we had drinks, refills, and food. When I mentioned I was in a hurry, they visibly worked to do everything in their power to accommodate. Very happy and hope to come back again to try more food.

We went for a late breakfast, and I guess I'd call it more a brunch. The food was super fast and they brought everything we asked for. They refilled our drinks without us asking & The waitress was accommodating without being overly bearing. I had a 3 egg omelet and my friend had a burger & fries. Overall we had a great conversation and meal!

My boyfriend and I came in to the restaurant early Sunday morning, we aren’t from the area but because of the reviews and rating we had to stop in and get breakfast and let me tell you, the customer service was impeccable! The first diner we’ve ever been to that was so attentive and kind, when ever my coffee cup was empty within a minute either one of the servers or the manager stopped by and topped it off. The food was also so good! It’s hard finding a place that serves biscuits and gravy southern style and let me tell you not a drop of gravy was left on my boyfriends plate. We’re definitely coming back and making the three hour driver just for the service and food!! Highly recommend stopping in and getting the eggs Benedict too!!

I've gone twice. Bother weekdays. Service was fast and friendly. 1st time food was perfect. Ordered the same thing the following week and order came back wrong twice. Maybe different cook but wasn't busy. Prices are consistent with diner food affordable with plenty of food to take home. Good luck and enjoy

My husband and I shared the fajitas for two lunch special. For the price, it was good. Lots of food to share. But, the steak was not seasoned. We had to add salt…and towards the bottom, it was burnt to a crisp. The tortillas were nice and warm. The rice and refried beans(although soupy) were good. We definitely weren’t expecting authentic Mexican food here but it gets the job done for the price. If it weren’t for the reasonable prices, we probably wouldn’t come back. Might give their breakfast a try.

We've lived here 10 years and have never eaten at this place. We took visitors from the UK here today and all four of us enjoyed the pizza immensely. It was one of the best-ever overall experiences we've had at a local restaurant here in Englewood. 5/5 from me.

Told my out of town guest that we have the best pizza place around town. We have been to bobarino's a few times and always receive good tasting pizza. This time the pizza was pretty bad. It wasn't even close to how good it was in the past. If it was our first time there, we would not go back. Plus the bill for a large pizza and salad with a couple of teas was really not worth what we paid at a bit over $65. Not sure if they changed their recipe, but we probably won't be going back. That is too bad!!!

Great pizza. But I ordered two large pies. One with 2 toppings other with 2 toppings. 67 dollars and some change. Even know it was good. Probably will not return.

Amazing little hole in the wall place. It looks bigger on the outside than it is on the inside. I think there were 8 tables total inside, cozy little place. We ordered a half dozen cheese knots, medium White Pizza, small Bobarino Stromboli. Everything was fantastic. The white pizza has 3 or 4 kinds of cheese on it, and I think garlic butter spread on top. It was so much cheese. Enough you took a bit and really had to chew each one. Hot and stretchy. Perfect. The stromboli was the same. It was full of toppings all throughout except the ends, which was a delicious dough. I mean, they gotta keep it closed somehow right? Sure, it's more expensive than a chain, but all local pizza places are. You can't go wrong here. Cozy place with very friendly staff always ready to help.

This is the type of place that your mother used to take you to 30 or 40 years ago in small towns where the cooks knew how to cook. My wife was astounded at the quality of the salmon lunch he had and I had for the second time the sliced roast beef over bread with gravy and mashed potatoes it was that good. The prices are reasonable for going out and they have a very good selection on the menu of other items as well as daily specials. I have to say the server was excellent as well these ladies work very hard and a tough environment. When we visit Englewood Florida again we are sure to come back five stars.

This place had good reviews so we stopped in. The only waitress on Saturday morning was seemingly very high, slurring, falling asleep while stapling the receipt to the ticket, left people sitting without taking their order for over 20mins. Small, friendly, relaxing place. The waitress was super. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. I'd have given it 5 starts if it weren't for 2 things: they only had pink sugar substitute, they did not have sugar-free (or lite) syrup and we both noticed the toast had a stale taste.

This was our first time at Wink's. Granted, three local eateries were closed for various reasons, but whatever receipts you made on this day could have been doubled or maybe tripled had you not been understaffed on a Saturday morning. Many people just got up and left because nobody greeted them. Nobody seated them. People were told to sit anywhere they wished. Some customers who arrived after our party were served before our order was even taken. There was one waitress on the floor, no buser, and at least two people behind the line that refused to even expedite the food orders! People from other tables began to hand out cutlery and pour coffee. It was a clown show without the car. The four of us are local and we love to go out for breakfast and support local businesses. You came so highly recommended it was so disappointing.

Me and my wife both got the shrimp basket, tasted fine but we were 40 dollars out the doors leaving hungry with the small proportions. This was the equivalency of a captain d’s sad meal. Food was good, just definitely not worth the price

Absolutely beautifully designed course, second only to the most friendliest staff I have experienced at a course in the area, maybe short of the Ritz - and I'd argue the staff here would give them a run for their money. From the moment we walked in until we left every single employee had a smile, was helpful, polite and just had a great attitude - not very common at a lot of courses in the area where grumpy people sludge through the day, think you being at the course is a burden and just want their free golf for working at a course. So many decent courses are ruined by their staff. Gorgeous layout, challenging yet attainable course, greens were in outstanding condition and fast. Food was excellent (chicken salad sandwich). Beverage cart attendant was friendly and fun (and a great name - America!) Great layout for restrooms, which include coolers full of ice cold branded water bottles. If I had to find something for feedback it would be maybe additional signage for directions to some of the holes where cart paths intersect, but that would be forcing finding something. Kudos to the entire team for making our day enjoyable.

Played here for the first time yesterday. The staff was above and beyond in every way. As we played the course, we noticed the grass on the greens was one of the best we had ever played on. Same goes for closely mown areas around the greens. Fairways forgiving and in great shape. After finishing our round we asked what kind of grass was being utilized: Paspalum. Putts rolled perfectly on these relatively fast greens (preferred by me anyway.) And when in the rough, the ball sits up instead of sinking down, so almost always easy to find your ball and keep pace. Be prepared to use less loft on these shots as it's like having your ball on a tee. Loved everything about this course and look forward to returning soon. P.S. The electric carts have excellent built-in range finder/info screens that take out the guess work and help you keep pace.

My friends and I went to dinner Thursday night at Boca Royale. We wanted to support them since they’re still not fully recovered from Hurricane Ian. Our dinners were good, service was fine - the problem was my carry out. I got the short rib dinner to take home for my husband. FYI, they don’t give you a vegetable with your meal, you choose one side. I chose the baked potato. The salads we were served were twice the size of the salad to go. The issue was the short rib. It should be called Short Changed Rib. The portion of meat was so small I got my tape measure. This meal was not worth $22. My husband said it tasted good but it was a ridiculously small portion. I couldn’t help but feel they think carryouts can be shortchanged with little consequences. If you like short rib, I recommend Landy’s. Delicious and well worth the cost. I’ll go back there, but not likely Boca Royale.

WOW.....what an amazing golf course! The greens were in super shape. They rolled true and smooth. Everything else was also in super shape. Pace of play was great. The people in the pro shop, back drop and starter were amazing and very friendly. The Bar and Restaurant looked super nice, but we didn't have time to try it. I would definitely play here again and am planning on it..

This course is in great shape. The staff is great. I would recommend BRCG to any skill level. It can be challenging. It was my 1st time. I had a great time and the clubhouse has great food.

I recently played this course for the first time. I will not be going back. I have copd and use a portable oxygen concentrator. I requested a cart for myself (instead of sharing), because of my O2 canula line and the charging cord making it more difficult for two people to sit side by side. I was even going to pay for both my cart and my playing partner. They (pro shop personnel) said no! They wouldn’t let that happen because it was going to too much additional cart use on the course! What! I explained the situation in detail and suggested one more cart was not going to wreck their course. NOPE!

Pizza Takeout
Marco's Pizza is a fast-food establishment offering a variety of specialty or personalized pizzas for takeout or delivery. An order was placed and picked up promptly, although there was a slight mix-up due to the restaurant's closing time. However, the staff efficiently addressed the situation by remaking the food that had been mistakenly discarded. Despite inconveniencing them, Marco's Pizza handled it flawlessly and deserves appreciation.
Best pizza deals in the area. Sometimes, they have different deals in-store than you find on the app; call to order for those. Pizza and bread is consistently good. Have never eaten inside, but there's always plenty of seating when I pickup my carryout order.

Great! We are here on Manasota Key for vacation and ordered a pizza delivered for a late dinner. Marco's PIzza was surprisingly fast. 30 minutes after ordering it was here. Very good pizza, and they got the order with what goes on what half correct :)

Ordered a pizza for delivery. Please look at the photos to see what I received. I was trying to support local instead of a national chain. This was a waste of $22.00. For those wondering why I did not call and ask for a new pizza. They were "closed" and would not do anything for me.

As a former pizzeria owner. I can attest to the taste and quality of this pizza. You can build your own pizza with a myriad of tasty toppings on a variety of crusts. Or, you can order a Specialty pizza like BBQ Chicken. Also offer subs, salads and more. Gluten-free available but not if you are extremely sensitive to traces of gluten. Every full moon pizzas are half off. Enjoy! I loved it!

Mexican restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Maria Restaurant is a delightful find in Englewood that stands out for its affordability and quality, especially when compared to pricier options like The White Elephant and The SandBar. Despite an extensive menu that may initially seem overwhelming—some items even lacking descriptions—the friendly staff, particularly the lovely waitress Robin, are eager to assist with recommendations. If you're craving something specific, like French Toast or a Chorizo Quesadilla paired with home fries and toast, Maria's delivers on flavor with every bite.
Fast, friendly and cost effective. They have plenty of options for everyone. The drink menu is huge &&&&& they have a dessert menu for your sweet tooth. Defiantly recommend, especially if you’re on vacation. Great vibes 💕💕

Great Mexican restaurant in Englewood. Plan ahead, they're cash-only. The food has been consistently good. Portion sizes are adequate. Service has always been quick and friendly. Aside from Mexican, they also serve typical breakfast and lunch dishes. They also have a children's menu (not something I typically see in the area).

I asked for steak tacos and they got me ground beef tacos. Awful tacos couldn't even grab them to eat, they break. Over the phone I place an order of tacos with quesadillas and a side of pico de gallo, I haven't been told it was cash only and was told that the amount was about $25. I get there and they charge me an additional $4 for the pico de gallo, that I had already ordered over the phone and I had to pay an additional $3.50 fee for the ATM. I told the waitress and the owner of the place and the answer was "just hired, she's still learning." So because of her mistakes I'm supposed to pay $40 for a lunch of low quality and not what I asked because I received the ground beef tacos while I asked for steak tacos. Bad service bad food. Avoid if you can.

You know when you're hungry... and you actually know what you want, even craving for... perhaps because you saw it at 1:30am in the morning while scrolling through social media the night before? You know when you get EXACTLY what you wanted and walk away sated, with every bite as good as the first and last (the best bites of them all). Yeah, this was that. So I really wanted French Toast, and from the places I've been around here, I haven't been impressed at all. I didn't want to go to Denny's and although I love First Watch, I wasn't in the mood to drive it there. I checked out the local places online and the various reviews and found Maria Restaurant as one of the best rated and reviewed. Went there, saw many menu items I then wanted, and the plates that were being brought out to diners ALL looked delicious. Still craving French Toast, I went for what I came for. It didn't disappoint and not only that, but my server, Amber, was not only a happy face who made it pleasant to be there, but she brought my food out in under 2 minutes. I said, "Did someone change their mind on their order?" and she laughed and said, "That's just the way we roll here". I'm just going to leave a photo of what was served to me and let that do the rest of the review. Oh, and I've been back again and going again today, now to try the Chimichangas which many have recommended! PS - The price was right, the food was a lot and the coffee was excellent... extras all the way around and worthy of a good tip!

Probably one of the hidden gems in Englewood. Was staying in Manasota key and saw the positive reviews on Maria's and stopped in for breakfast. No sooner did I sit down, I was greeted by Robin who took my drink order and I was soon sipping on a hot cup of coffee. Was impressed with the menu that had a decent breakfast selections as well as some Mexican Breakfast" selection as well. Decided on the Chorizo Quesadila which, when offered, cane with homefries and toast. As I prepare this review, I now realize I never got my toast, but don't miss it at all as the Quesadila and homefries were filling. HadI realized my toast was missing, I'm sure if I inquired about it they wolud have brought it over but I never even realized it was missing. The food was awesome. The quesadila was perfectly blended, was not greasy and over loaded with cheese, and had a good blend of chorizo sausage in it. I added some hot sauce to kick it up, but it would have been just as tasty without it. All in all, Maria's has it all. Great food, great service, and great prices. A few miles from Manisota Key, Maria's is a great place to go for breakfast or lunch if you want a break from the often busier and often pricier places you may find on close to the water. There was ample parking and managed to sit down as soon as I entered on a Sunday morning around 10 AM. While I did not have a drink thos time around, Screwdrivers, Mimosas, and other cocktails are also available for those that are interested. One if the only downfalls that I can sat did not impact me is they are cash only. Just a warning to those who may venture out without any cash. If you don't have cash, I'd say it is definitely worth getting cash and stopping in. With only a few days left, I can see myself returning again for another breakfast or lunch.

My MIL took us to this place today. We have been to some of the more expensive places around Englewood (The White Elephant, The SandBar, etc), but this one is super affordable and completely trumps ALL of them!! I’ll admit I was super skeptical looking at the extensive menu. I’m used to places “up selling” their food using colorful descriptions for each dish. There were many items on the menu that had no description at all. Our waitress was lovely and helped me make a decision based on her recommendation. Long story short, I got the fish tacos (again, no description but very reasonably priced), husband got the burger. I couldn’t believe the amount of deliciously seasoned fresh fish that I was blessed with!! Husband loved his burger. The owner, Maria, was wonderful and even came out to check on us, refilled our glasses, and offered me salsa and sour cream. This place is a MUST. Service was fast and extremely friendly, food was amazing. I could honestly go on all day about this restaurant but I’m just gonna stop typing so you can get in your car and go, go now!! What are you even waiting for??????

Coffee & Friends Breakfast Restaurant is a charming, locally-owned establishment situated on Placida Rd. Although I have passed by this place several times, it wasn't until today that I finally decided to stop by. Craving French toast and bacon for breakfast, I was pleased with my choice. The restaurant's cleanliness and friendly staff made my experience even more enjoyable. Interestingly, the family running the place hails from Switzerland, adding an international touch to the eatery.
Simple breakfast place that hits all the notes! Everything was cooked perfectly. The breakfast potatoes were best I have had. Friendly welcoming staff. Then they serve excellent coffee - my kind of find when traveling!

A gem of a breakfast location We have visited this part of Florida before but this was our first time dining at Coffee and Friends. What an absolute gem of a small, independent business. We were met by a very warm welcome by a lady who is clearly part of the management team (I would guess, the owner) and shown immediately to a table. We were offered coffee and drinks along with the menu. A few moments later, a charming young gentleman took our order which arrived in a timely fashion and was beautifully, freshly cooked. Between us we chose, a strawberry / banana waffle, a patriot waffle, a side of bacon, a side of bacon / cheese fries, a side of corned beef hash, a coffee and an orange juice. The total ( including tax) was $41, which we felt was good value and we would certainly have no hesitation in recommending to others and we ourselves will revisit when we visit this area again. Parking was ample and directly outside and from what we could see the interior was spotlessly clean (including the restroom).

The building is very nondescript (put up a sign! :) Inside is very minimalistic. But the food delivers! None of that matters, however, if you are looking for great, home cooked food and simply lovely service. We came across this place after church service on a Sunday when my husband wanted eggs Benedict. I had an omelet. Both were well cooked at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this family owned business. I heard the coffee is really good as well.

Coffee & Friends offered a great breakfast experience. We dined here several years ago and it was nothing like it is now! The restaurant is immaculate, the staff was super friendly. Our food was out in no time and very good. Western Omelet and eggs over easy with sausage and both with home fries which were nice and brown all over. Coffee was not like most diners, it was actually good. We will be back.

Came in for the first time today and I loved it. I felt weird walking in alone but the staff was extremely warm and inviting the second I walked in. It’s not very decorated or anything (if that’s what you’re looking for) but the food and the customer service makes up for it. Perfect place for a simple home cooked style meal. The prices are very reasonable as well. My server Abe was very sweet and attentive. The owners’ even checked on me to make sure everything was good. Would definitely recommend. The only complaint I have is there are no alternative milk options which was almost a deal breaker for me. Glad I stopped in anyways.

Isabella's Bistro in Englewood is a beloved destination for Italian cuisine, drawing patrons from afar with its warm, family-like atmosphere. Owners Tommy and Sandy create an inviting environment reminiscent of their New York roots, ensuring every guest feels at home. The menu features delightful dishes like manicotti and Chicken Chardonnay, alongside fresh salads and flavorful lentil soup. Diners rave about the attentive service provided by staff members like Cindy and Gracie.
Love going to Isabella's! Best Italian food around. Isabella's Bistro in Englewood is our go-to place for Italian food. It's an hour and change drive each way, but absolutely worth it. To start, the owners, Tommy and Sandy, will treat you like family. Tommy used to own a restaurant in New York that we would frequent often. They want their guests to enjoy the time there as well as enjoy their food. We have had Cindy and Gracie as our servers. Both of them will go above and beyond to make sure you have everything that you need. I highly recommend the Shrimp Fra Diavolo. The shrimp and pasta are cooked perfectly. Spicy but not overpowering. The Chicken Parmesean is a favorite as well. The Fresco Mozzarella appetizer is a great starter. The blue cheese salad dressing is homemade. To close out the meal, try the Tiramasu and espresso. ☕️ The pictures that I'm sharing are some of what we've had there. I will take pictures on our next trip there.

We have been here three times over three years. They have consistently served the selected menu item to someone incorrectly. The first time my wife ordered the special of chicken and gnocchi. It was served with no chicken. When we challenged the mistake, the waitress tried to say the chicken was in the gnocchi. When we did get the chicken breast it was just dropped off at the table on a plate , no sauce , nothing. Last year one of my guests ordered shrimp and scallops pasta. We were informed they ran out of scallops and he would get extra shrimp instead. When served there was no extra shrimp. This year, a week ago, they were not busy , not rushed, still the same problem. Three of us ordered the sea scallops with choice of pasta ($32.00). All three were served shrimp and scallops ($28.00). When the order was questioned, we were told that is the way it comes. The menu says scallops, no check ticket said scallops. Plus one of the orders came with linguine instead of angel hair pasta. When the check came all three people were charged the $32.00 for scallops. Unfortunately, I am afraid that three strikes you are out applies here. They have a problem in their kitchen or wait staff.

Nice little limoncello dessert. Good service!

The shrimp fried rice was also a hit, packed with flavor and generous portions of shrimp.

BEST HOT & SOUR SOUP that I've had in years! I moved to Englewood from the Tampa area two years ago & couldn't find a decent Chinese restaurant for take out. FINALLY...Koo's will be my "go to" place. Food actually had flavor unlike most of the places I've tried around here. The shrimp fried rice had a decent amount of shrimp in it, and the hot and sour soup was delicious. It had the right amount of acidity and was loaded with mushrooms, tofu, and everything that should be in there. The Subgum Wonton was flavorful with a good amount of the proteins (which other places usually skimp on) & Chinese vegetables (other places substitute with just celery & carrots with some bok choy). There were plenty of water chestnuts, bamboo, broccoli, pea pods, mushrooms & more! Staff was friendly and Hailey was helpful and accommodating when I asked for Chinese mustard. So glad I found this place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Prepare yourself to loosen your belt; this is undoubtedly the finest BBQ I have ever experienced. My spouse, child, and I all indulged in their remarkable brisket and pulled pork. We also savored a variety of delectable sides, including corn on the cob, green beans, French fries, coleslaw, and pintobeans. The portions provided are generous and satisfying. The BBQ sauce is truly outstanding - bursting with an incredible array of flavors.
So good. The brisket was super tender and tasty. Cornbread had real corn in it and it was awesome! And the Collard Greens are definitely first thing that got ate.

If you love barbecue with delicious sides, try out Texas Best Barbecue. And, they make the best banana pudding. It's a nostalgic place, where you can sit back and enjoy a fantastic meal. Their meals are big portions, so you probably have some to take home. We also order and pickup a big order to enjoy for a weekend. It's definitely a treat.

I love this place. It's the real deal. Texas brisket (sliced) is the standard for judging BBQ. Ribs and pork are rather easy. I love hanging out here with the Murphy family. They're a nice family and good people. Only downside is the Cowboys thing, which is always why I wear my Eagles cap here. Yvette's chocolate bourbon pecan pie is tops. You get a lot of food for your money. One dinner makes 3 meals for me. These folks couldn't be more friendly.

Their food is excellent but for the price you may as well sell a kidney just to afford it. $42 plus a $10 tip got me a handful of bold chicken and half a handful of burnt ends. And three decent sides. It's about enough food for a snack. There are much better options in the area that you will actually get your money's worth. The one place I go I get ribs, pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, a bag of Hawaiian rolls, huge sides, and more. It was enough to feed 5 men for 50$

We called Texas Best BBQ around 1pm to see if they could cater for a group of about 25-30 at around 6pm. They didn't hesitate - and boy oh boy did they deliver! Their food is spectacular - and made all the better with their kind, thoughtful and generous people. Our only regret is that we didn't find them sooner - but we will be back. We tried all of the meats - including the burnt ends, which are the best we have EVER had anywhere. (including Texas) I wholeheartedly recommend them!

This is legit Texas BBQ and fantastic. Not expecting to find my favorite BBQ on the gulf coast of FLA. If you are in the area, save yourself a trip to Texas and get that experience. Owners work there and serve you and were more than happy to answer all my many questions and explain the cooking process. Folks in there from all over the world too. It's an attraction. Doesn't look like much from the outside, so you come for the food and they give you plenty of it!!

Good Time Charlie's Bar and Grill is a delightful spot in Englewood, Florida, perfect for those craving comfort food and a lively atmosphere. Known for its fantastic fish fry on Fridays, patrons rave about the generous portions of fish paired with delicious potato salad. The bar also hosts enticing deals like hamburger night on Wednesdays, where you can enjoy a burger, fries, and a beer for just $10—an unbeatable offer!
Definitely a good comfort food experience the fish fry you want to try and the salad trio POTATO, MACARONI & SLAW was FRESH AND COLD!!... ORDER UP &Then go from there... Thanks Jim for making me feel welcome!!

Love the fish fry on Friday. The potato salad is awesome as well as the huge piece of fish. Also stopped by for hamburger night on Wednesday, hamburger, fries and a beer for $10, can’t beat it. Of course you have the $2 margaritas!! Everything tastes good and the folks are friendly. 11/2/24 - still trying to get back to check it out when we can get in. Glad to see Charlie’s open a few days. Finally was able to get back. Got the wings on wing night, mozzarella sticks, and fish fry. Food was very good, waitress very nice, margaritas tasty. Be prepared to wait a long time. I needed to get some water on an empty stomach the margaritas were getting to me after an hour and 45 minutes.
Fred K — Google review
Service was bad .place was loud chicken wings were good 2$ margaritas were tasteless 75 cents extra for celery and 75 cents extra for blue cheese. Spigetty and mballs. Looked great and fish n chip ok. We went wing nite Thursday.they have specials on certain nites.
Lisa F — Google review
They didn’t have the $2.00 Margarita’s . The broiled Haddock with garlic butter sauce was oily and not even a hint of garlic. The coleslaw dressing was like milk and runny. My friend wanted a medium rare hamburger it was well done and dry. His French fries had so much salt on them that he couldn’t even eat them
Victoria G — Google review
They're open!!!! Only 2 servers so they were definitely short staffed. But the food was pretty good. I had the fried shrimp with baked potato and slaw. All of it was good. Our friends had the Friday fish fry special, it was pretty good but the fish was pretty greasy. And they serve it on top of 4 sides. Macaroni and potato salad, slaw and fries. Some also got a slice of rye. Not all did. I'd ask for the sides on another plate rather then have it all on one next time. Margaritas were $2 Ultra draft was $3, so not bad. We will try them again on a not so busy night.

It was very delicious it was our first time there. We will definitely go back again..

It's Lent and a Friday, but nearly 2 hours of waiting, then waiting. I get it. Having said this, as a warning to all.....Food is very generous in portions and very tasty!

We were thrilled to come across Donna's Naked Foods during the pandemic. As a couple in our seventies, cooking at home has become quite burdensome lately. Donna prepares fully homemade meals without any additives, including options for gluten-free and vegetarian diets. What amazed us even more was the affordable price of only $6.50 per meal, which is impossible to find at fast food establishments offering unhealthy choices. With over 40 different options available, there truly is something for everyone.
Every dish she makes is amazing. The people who work there are wonderful and very kind. We bought 12 Meals and every single one of them was the perfect amount a food to fill us up. Even my kid who is the pickiest eater on the planet eats and enjoys the meals here. I can't wait to try more dishes. We will definitely be back

We were so glad to discover Donna's Naked Foods during this pandemic! My husband and I are in our 70s, and cooking at home seems to be such a chore these days. Donna cook's complete homemade meals with no additives. She even has specificic gluten free, and vegetarian meals. The big surprise is that they are only $6.50! You can't get an unhealthy meal at a fast food place for that price! Plus she offers more than 40 choices...something for everyone! And she has a bakery! I have never tasted crust so good on a pie, quiche, or chicken pot pie! She is on Placida road in Englewood, and is open Mon, Tues, Wed, noon to 6pm. Please try it!

The prices are low, it's close to home, there's a wide variety of choices on the menu, and the food is delicious. My favorite is definitely the Macaroni and Cheese. Donna is such a wonderful woman.

The mango salsa chicken is excellent and the lasagna is killer. Everything I’ve tried has been great, desserts included. Thank you Donna and Tammy!

Great value for a non processed home cooked meal.... Meals are available frozen as well at a very inexpensive price. Customer service has always been top notch.

During a recent delivery route, I stumbled upon Rob's Pizzeria, and what a delightful surprise it was! Although the online menu featured slices at $2.50 and $3.00, I opted for a small cheese pizza priced at just $7.50. After a brief wait of about 10 minutes, I was rewarded with a piping hot pizza that truly felt like heaven on earth—definitely one of the best local cheese pizzas I've ever had!
We stopped here on a whim as we were working our delivery route, and found this little gem. They have an old menu online that showed they had pizza by the slice for $2.50 and $3.00 a slice, which isn’t the case anymore. The small was only $7.50 so we ordered a plain cheese. We waited maybe 10 minutes for this hot and fresh box of heaven they called pizza! Probably the best local cheese pizza I have ever tasted! I will definitely drive the 30 minutes from North Port to get this pizza every time!!
Kevin D — Google review
Very friendly staff. Were eager to help and informed me that I spent just enough for a free dessert. Pizza was very good. The sausages are cut at an angel, which was nice! Easy to find location. Would go back.
John W — Google review
We got into town at 8:00 PM and ordered at 8:30 for pickup before they closed. They said no problem taking the order and gave us plates and a full cup of cheese as well since we hadn't gone to the grocery store yet. Customer service was great. The pizza was very good as well. Definitely recommend.
David B — Google review
What a good friendly team. A small place thats clean and eager to serve good pizza. Id recommend a stop for a slice and get away from all the traffic outside lol. Thanks
Hector D — Google review
We had a great experience for dinner here. My husband and I are very picky with Pizza & we like Pizza more authentic and a crust that doesn't take over the flavor. This is a thin crust Pizza so if you like the Chicago style or deep dish this isn't the place for you. In our opinion this is one of the best pizzas we have had in Florida. Great crust and great marinara sauce. Service was exceptional too.
Teresa B — Google review
Food is decent enough. It is better than ordering from a big chain, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. Very greasy pizza. Most of the menu items such as wings, dinners, and subs have been removed. I would order again, but only because of a lack of options.
Jamie W — Google review
The house salad has thin sliced onion and black olives on it. I noticed that the pizza is better when I get it as a carry out order compared to the lunch special I got today. We came for a pretty late lunch, though so that's probably why. Our server was really great. She saw me struggling to get the olives out of my salad and brought me a new one even though it was definitely my own fault for not checking the fixings.
Sara P — Google review

The Wing King Chicken Safari is a highly recommended restaurant that offers excellent takeout options. Their mixed box of chicken parts with a lemon pepper dry rub is thoroughly cooked, moist on the inside, crispy on the outside, and well-seasoned. The biscuits are light and fluffy with a golden crust and served with real whipped butter. Their coleslaw is crunchy and deliciously dressed. Affordable pricing makes it even more appealing.
I am laughing at any bad reviews, because that’s just comical. I have loved coming to eat ever since I tried it for the first time. I absolutely love every bit of the experience you bring along with amazing food.

*I was told my order would take about 30 minutes. Waited then came back inside after 20 minutes. There was just a few other people inside which she would call their orders. Waited for about 20 minutes before they grabbed my bag under the table that was waiting since before I came back inside. Employee said it just came out but I was sitting by the counter waiting and that wasn't brought out while I was there. *Wings were room temperature, but still kinda good. I can tell they would have been really good. *The fried mushrooms were good but every bite poured out liquid... maybe that's how it's supposed to be? *Wanted little corn dogs but got these little bites like hush puppies with corn in them, not sure what it was, guess I read it wrong. *There was a place kind of near by that sold chicken wings as well, however Wing King was definitely better than theirs.
Nicholas G — Google review
The wings are ok. They’re way to jumbo. I’m not hating on em. They are good. I’m just from Buffalo. And these aren’t my type of wing. Sauce was kinda non existent tbh with you. More like a grease? Idk. Blue cheese was lackin hard. Tiny cup half full and then up charge for additional half full cup. My buddy love this place (he’s from Florida) idk, if someone buys I’ll eat from here. But I won’t personally spend my money to eat here.
Jamie B — Google review
No more home made onion rings, unfortunately. Just the heavy breaded frozen Sysco rings, all bread no flavor. Wings are smaller than before but still very good, cooked perfect, great sauce. The ladies working there are very sweet and hard working.
Dennis P — Google review
On a Saturday evening, we ordered take -out of 4 different flavored wings, with instructions to please make them extra crispy. Not only was our order made perfectly extra crispy, the wings themselves were large, juicy and the seasonings were not skimped on—the wings exploded with flavor! And a small but nice thing, the containers were clearly labeled with each flavor and a happy face smile. Definitely the place to get wings, while supporting local small business as well!
Wendy S — Google review
Best chicken wings I have had! This was fantastic! More meat than breading and flavors are great! Our family has been twice now. Honey BBQ, Terriaki, Salt and Pepper, Regular BBQ and Garlic are all the flavors we had. None of us disappointed. Fries are good too. Employees super nice!
Keri M — Google review
Delicious wings and sides, everything I've tried has been very tasty. Highly recommend!!

Hubby brought takeout home after visiting the Moose club. It was excellent! He got a mixed box of chicken parts with lemon pepper dry rub. All the chicken pieces were thoroughly cooked (hate underdone chicken), moist inside but nice and crispy outside and well-seasoned. Biscuits were light and fluffy with a nice golden crust and real whipped butter. Coleslaw was crunchy and had a delicious dressing (not dry and under dressed like some slaws). Reasonably priced to boot. Highly recommend Wing King.

Now this is a lamb shank dinner! Every Thursday here at A&B. For a price you won't believe your luck on! $9.95 For single shank dinner and you get a cup of their homemade soup too! I suggest their chicken orzo.

I guess I can’t really leave a review if I haven’t had the food. But I drove an hour to this restaurant who stated they were open online and on their sign. Go to the door and it’s locked. I’d say at least update your hours so that people don’t drive here thinking the restaurant is open.

My husband and son ordered a couple orders in chicken Gyros and fries. Wow!!! Service was great, super fast. Large portions. Food was so good! The gyros were stuffed with good stuff. The fries were some of the best I have ever had! We are very pleased and will definitely be back! I highly recommend this restaurant. Absolutely delicious! 🌺

I had an enjoyable meal here on a Friday night. The wait time was not too bad, considering it was season. The waitress was friendly and the food for our table arrived fairly quickly once it was ordered. I had the all you can eat fish. That was tasty, the batter on the fish was good, not too thick. I would go back again.
Shannon E — Google review
Fantastic!! Place is clean quiet and quaint! The food was delightfully delicious! All fresh and politely proportioned! Staff was happy kind and tentative! My mother and I really enjoyed our selves and I'm the super picky when it comes to eating so I don't really like to go out to eat today was was pleasantly surprised and fought to pay the check lol Blessed keep shining! A&B house salad and the Greek gyro pizza!! Amazing! Thank you I'll see y'all again soon!
Angel L — Google review
I’d like to first start by saying that I never leave reviews. Stopped by here on my lunch break and decided to get the gyro meat and spinach pie combo. The waitress was super friendly when I walked in and waited for my food. The portions were huge, and the food was amazing! Haven’t had a gyro that good since I lived in Germany! Would definitely recommend!
Liz H — Google review
Had the Chicken Orzo Soup & an Italian Sausage Sub, both were very good ... the sub was actually excellent. Possibly the best that I've ever had. I was only going to have a few bits and take the rest to go. Then I was only going to eat all the makings and leave the bread. But then the bread was so good that i ate the entire sub. Now I'm just too full. For a gyro, sub, and pizza place I was surprised by the quality of the food. For the price, I think that A&B would be hard to beat. For this type of cuisine, it is a must try. I know that I definitely will be going back (something that I can not say about some recently opened establishments that charge almost twice the price). Good food, good service, great prices ... what's not to like. Forgot, for a dollar more I received a side of onion rings made of REAL onions, not chopped-up onions with binders & fillers shaped into "rings" - yum.
