Top of the Rock Restaurant is a New American cafe located in the Phoenix Marriott Tempe at The Buttes resort, offering stunning 360-degree views of Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale. Since 1988, it has been a go-to spot known for its rustic decor and romantic ambiance.
From the drive to the Top, to the service, to the food… everything was absolutely an amazing! The salmon had a delicious caramelized crust. The Filet Mignon had the perfect tenderness! Rockefeller Oyster , I ate with their flavorful bread… so good! Celebrating birthday with a pecans in dessert was ohhhh so satisfying! The service was excellent! Our server was so sweet and friendly. His smile made us feel at ease since it was our first time at the restaurant.

Talk about a Great View! Our meal and service was great. Chris did a wonderful job taking care of us. We were there for my Wife's birthday and we are very glad that we did. We ordered the charcuterie board and the bone marrow to start. Both were well worth it. We also ordered the NY Strip and the Portobello Mushrooms, again these were a great option. Chris brought over a little dessert to celebrate my Wife's birthday, what a pleasant surprise that was. What a wonderful time we had. Great meal, great service and a wonderful view of the City. The only downside was a rowdy group that had a couple of loud individuals and even though there is a business casual dress code there were a few people in shorts, hoodies and graphic t shirts. Not really what you expect to see in an establishment like this. All in all, Top of the Rock has been added to our favorite places to dine.

Took my husband on a dinner date after a work conference we were attending. It was very nice. The food was amazing and the view was breathtaking! The lobster was so tender! And the service was very good too! I will definitely come back when in town. Very beautiful place to propose with the sunset. Or just come for a romantic dinner. Totally worth it and recommend it.

I went to Top of the Rock a couple of days ago to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday, and it was such a wonderful evening! The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, with beautiful views that made it feel extra special. The staff was so kind and attentive, and they really helped make the night go smoothly. The food was amazing everything we ordered was delicious and perfectly cooked. My mother in law was so happy, which meant a lot to us. It truly felt like the perfect spot for a special occasion.

We loved EVERYTHING about this restaurant. We are from Chicago and have very high standards for food & service. We were visiting friends & I found this place while doing research on places to eat as I have a gluten allergy. This. Place. Is. Perfect. The ambiance is beautiful, the staff was very friendly & efficient. I booked our reservations for outdoors as the weather was 83°. And would still be nice into the evening. I wanted to book the time frame so we'd have sunshine, then see the sunset & the lights displayed in the evening all around the restaurant. THE VIEWS ARE STUNNING!!! The staff were attentive and helpful with recommendations. Our food was absolutely delicious! I ordered Seabass with mashed potatoes & asparagus. My hubby had roasted chicken. Our friends ordered lamb chops & the charcuterie board. We throughly enjoyed our evening!! I will return every time I come to AZ. If you visit AZ and it's not too far away you MUST book your resey here.

Incredible restaurant with decadent dining and breathtaking views of the city lights. Definitely a splurge but the food is delicious and plated to perfection. P.S. they served us a complimentary focaccia that was quite literally the BEST I have ever had. Stellar service, a total 5 ⭐️ dining experience.

Nice views, and a good option if you’re in the area. Otherwise, head to the patio on Sanctuary for better views and service. Wait staff was great, but it took the hostess 10-15 minutes to check us into an empty restaurant shortly after it opened for the evening. Also, the teak patio furniture needs refinishing and makes the restaurant look dated. If you’re looking to impress someone on a date, recommend Sanctuary or Wrigley Mansion as alternatives. If it’s convenient and you’re in the area, it’s a nice stop.
Melissa H — Google review
Overall I think the restaurant was immaculately designed with incredibly high vaulted ceilings and lovely interior. The view is subpar at best as most of it just of a high way. Maybe we came on subpar day, but it was Sunday evening and you’d imagine they’d be better staffed and supplied for the meal. Service - the wait staff seemed a bit stretched thin given the large crowd. The gap in between appetizer and our entrees was more than 30mins and thought the staff would accommodate with something, but I guess that’s not the establishment they were. They were sold out of a few items and certain entrees were running short, but the seafood pasta ordered was directly said that it would come with one less scallop and compensated with extra clams and muscles. Food - we ordered oysters Rockefeller, NY Strip, seafood laced fettuccine, and side order of Mac cheese. The highlight was probably the appetizer and oysters which had a nice briney bite with a lovely crispy top. NY strip - was bone dry and not ordered to hope we wanted it cooked. We asked for medium rare it came out well done at best. The amount of chews per bite were quite a bit. Given how long we waited to get our entrees, we didn’t want to risk returning and waiting longer for the potential of a steak cooked we wanted. Seafood pasta - the seafood was cooked well and shrimp was well done. The one scallop was fine and muscles and clams were lovely. The pasta wasn’t salted and the sauce had no seasoning away from a lemon forward taste. It felt just like butter and lemon with just no seasoning. Mac and Cheese - was just super dry. Had some bacon bits in between that provided some texture, but it felt like just a cream cheese and noodles combined with some bacon.

The Chuckbox is a legendary cash-only burger joint in Tempe, known for its charcoal-broiled patties and rustic charm. For over 50 years, it has been a favorite among locals and students seeking affordable, flavorful burgers cooked over an open mesquite charcoal grill. The menu features classics like the Big One and the Tijuana Torpedo, as well as barbeque chicken sandwiches.
I’m glad I came to check this place out. This place has a pretty cool old vibe. Their hamburgers are pretty good. They have a “toppings bar” that you get your hamburger and then you go over there to pick whatever toppings you want. That’s kind of cool. I like the concept of this restaurant. All of the employees that I encountered are what I look for when going to a restaurant. This place is right by the campus of Arizona State University, so there is a lot of college student traffic. But, that doesn’t take away from this place. I definitely recommend this place.

If you love smoke and slow grilled, you will LOVE this place. I am a vegetarian and the smoke adds to the garden burger taste + the help your self dressings bar puts this over the top! Enjoy the line and wait of slow/fast food. Cash only.

We had a great lunch. Super simple spot with a limited menu that is all good. We tried a few items and I was pleased with everything. The condiments and all add ons are offered up in a salad bar setting letting you build your perfect burger. We live out of town but will definitely be coming back when we pass through the area again.

My nail tech told me abt this place when I told her I was going to Tempe. OMG one of my top 5 burgers in life. The flavor from the wood is AMAZING. Burger isn't salty. It stays busy but the employees are efficient and have it down to a science. Mushrooms were amazing😋🤤 Going bk before I drive bk to Vegas. Make sure you have cash
Tammy U — Google review
I'm so glad I found this place. I came into town for a bjj competition and scoped out good food in Tempe area. Given the copious positive reviews, I decided to try it out. The wood fire smell is what immediately grabbed my attention outside and I knew I was in for a delicious meal. The packed interior also confirmed my decision. The menu is simple, straightforward. I ordered a hot and spicy chicken sandwich, double big burger, and fries. The food is cooked to order and very fresh. The chicken was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The burger was also juicy and had that amazing wood fired taste you can't get anywhere else, closest to a backyard bbq burger but way better. There is an assorment of toppings and condiments you can add. The only negative thing I can say is parking in front can be difficult, but you can find a surface lot a short walk away. Don't hesistate on trying The Chuckbox if you're looking for great burgers and sandwiches.

I think I randomly found this place looking for 4.5 stars and up near the airport. Wow, it’s amazing! They yell toward the back of the line to take your order while you queue and then track all of it by memory and tooth picks, zero order tickets, computer kiosks! By the time you get your to the grill you are gifted with a few minutes to watch the grill, magic and take in the sights, sounds, and delicious smells - then it’s all ready to go. BOOM! Everyone was really nice, friendly staff and customers, and overall a total throwback to what I remember from my childhood in the 80’s. I’d give this place 9 stars if I could it was that delicious. Cash only, so come prepared. They have an ATM if you don’t plan ahead. Sofa king good!
Chris L — Google review
We just happen to find the Chuckbox online. It looked 😎 so we went. The place is GREAT, we loved it. It’s FUN! You stand in line to order which was cool. The guys behind us must have been regulars and they helped us order. They just call you in line and ask what you want. Best order system ever! The gent taking the order just yells to the cook beside him. No paper just a good memory. We each had a burger and shared onion rings. You add your own condiments (see picture). Also awesome. I guess I must I must have order a unique burger so they just added extra stuff. Just fine with me. All the staff were really nice and when they found out travelled 3000 kms they said that was great. Parking - the parking is ok and free! I suggest being there between 1:15 and 3:00 PM. It may not be as busy? We were there at 1:15 on a Thursday and the lunch crowd was just clearing out. We did get a parking spot. Also there was a parking attendant. Food - burgers were top notch and the onion rings, I would go for just the onion rings! My better half thought her burger was a bit over cooked. The decor is rustic. I really like this type of place because it feels homey. The place is very clean and unlike some places they actually come around and clean the tables. One of the fun things is you get to see the cook being the master of the grill. There is also some outside seating. All in all we really liked the place. VERY IMPORTANT: CASH ONLY no EXCEPTIONS. ATM on site.

The chuck box is a legend among those that know. The food is top notch and the atmosphere is special very laid back on Sundays. However your first time there on a week day can be overwhelming very fast paced . But still all out friendly and pretty fast. The hamburgers are among the best out there and the add on's are simply the best because every step of the way your guiding your food to be excatlly as you want not pre designed NO!!! THEY OFFER THE MEAT AND BREAD ONLY YOU CHOOSE EVERYTHING ELSE. If you have never been make it a point to try. You won't be disappointed. Ps they have onion rings, fries, mushrooms too.

Cafe Lalibela Ethiopian Cuisine is a laid-back eatery that serves up traditional Ethiopian dishes along with wine and beer, including gluten-free injera. The restaurant prides itself on its finger-licking good food, which is traditionally enjoyed by hand using the spongy injera bread. Established in 1996, it was Arizona's first Ethiopian restaurant and remains popular among locals, students, and professors alike.
We recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant with a group of friends and their families, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect backdrop for an evening filled with laughter and delicious food. We explored the menu, which was a treasure trove of culinary delights. In fact, there wasn’t a single dish that didn’t pique our interest! We decided to try a variety of about 12 different dishes, each more incredible than the last. From savory appetizers to mouthwatering mains, every bite was a burst of flavor. It was clear that each plate was crafted with care and expertise, making it difficult to pick a favorite. The staff at the restaurant were absolutely exceptional. They were attentive without being intrusive, always ready with a smile and a recommendation. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and their suggestions truly elevated our dining experience. It felt like we were being guided through a delightful culinary journey, and we appreciated their enthusiasm for the food they served. Another bonus was the parking situation. The restaurant boasts a spacious parking lot, making it convenient for our group to gather without any hassle. All in all, our evening was filled with great company, delectable dishes, and outstanding service. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu; it’s a place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience!

The food was tasty, and the atmosphere was really friendly. I loved the overall vibe, and they even had some unique, almost utopian items available for purchase. The portion sizes were generous, which made the experience even more satisfying.

Cafe Laibela is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Ethiopian cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant has a cozy, family-style feel with welcoming staff. The food is nothing short of amazing. Each dish is rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented on traditional bread. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Ethiopian food or trying it for the first time, Cafe Laibela delivers an unforgettable experience with both its cuisine and atmosphere.

Been going to this place for years and recently visited again. They serve a delicious cuisine of Ethiopian food. The dishes are flavorful, abundant, and the quality is spectacular. You can get individual dishes or shareable dishes. They serve their dishes with injera which serves as your utensils and what you use to grab your food. It's so delicious 😋. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The restaurant is very cozy and friendly. The service was great and the staff is very attentive and courteous. The dishes were plentiful and extremely affordable. You get a lot of food for the cost. I certainly recommend this place for the dishes, ambience, friendly staff, and bang for your buck!
Luna V — Google review
If you are in the area and love Ethiopian food, look no further! There is a reason Cafe Lailibela has been around for 30 years and has won multiple awards. The Doro Wat, Asa Wat, Tiramisu, and Misir Wat are excellent choices along with Kerem Shai and Jebena. The food here is excellent and won't disappoint you whether you are a local or a weary traveler looking for a hot meal and a cup of Jebena.
Paul G — Google review
I went to this restaurant after my Atana head spa treatment. I saw this restaurant going in and was curious about the food they served. After I searched them up online I realized they had Ethiopian food. I’ve never had it prior so I decided to check out the menu and pick out a couple items. I walked into the restaurant and met with a less than enthusiastic woman. She did not smile and she was not gracious. I ordered the Doro wat and Gomen. I drive home with the food and ate it at home. The Doro wat/stew was not packaged well. It spilled into the bag. I was told the bread or Tef was supposed to be delicious. I thought it was flimsy and sour. The Doro wat did not look appetizing the flavor was ok, a bit bitter. Gomen was basically just collard greens and it was mediocre. The next day my stomach was hurting terribly. After this experience I’ve written off Ethiopian food completely. I will never eat it again.
Ria T — Google review
Wow wow wow, I always wish I live closer to this place, because all of the dishes look amazing! The last time I was here was 8 years ago! There are so many options and I finally decided on the Beef Tibs. It was so flavorful and tender. The onions were not overpowering. I loved that the server gave me an extra side of injera too! Look forward to the next visit already!
Janet L — Google review
I finally had the time to visit this place again. Its been a few years since I first tried their food. This time I was with my child. People who came in after us were waited on first. I order food that wasn't spicy, but all of it was bland. The food was lukewarm and I hope we dont get sick. I didn't feel welcomed. Other than that, the presentation was pretty, the atmosphere was a mixed of what seemed to be college students and business people. A bit noisy but not bad. Im not sure ill go back.

Four Peaks Brewing Company, named after the famous mountain peaks in Greater Phoenix, is a well-known brewery in Arizona. Their classic Kilt Lifter Scottish Ale has been a favorite since 1996 and is considered the top beer in the state. The main brewery in Tempe has been a popular spot for over 20 years, attracting students, sports fans, and locals. The brewery's acquisition by Anheuser-Busch in 2015 expanded its reach across the country.
Girls’ night approved! Stopped by Four Peaks Brewing Company in Tempe just for drinks and dessert with the girls, and it did not disappoint. We sat at the first bar and I ordered the Pink Pony Club (vodka + peach schnapps = dreamy), and it was the perfect summer cocktail — light, fruity, and dangerously easy to drink. For dessert, we shared the summer lemon bars with coconut ice cream, and wow. The lemon bars were tart and buttery, and that coconut ice cream was next-level — creamy, refreshing, and not too sweet. Vibes were chill, service was fast, and the whole spot had a great local Tempe energy. Will definitely be back — maybe next time for the full dinner menu!

I'm so glad I came here today. I'm a huge pumpkin beer fan, and I just had the best one! I enjoyed the Double Pumpkin Barrel Aged Porter. Had a very deep porter flavor, with slight sweetness of pumpkin and whiskey. I also had the fish and sweet potato fries. They were excellent. My server Delaney was fantastic. Very good attitude and just wonderful service. I'm so glad that I stopped by here.

A fantastic spot to kick back and chill with friends, offering a lively atmosphere and lovely hospitality. The service is top-notch, making you feel right at home. Their pepperoni pizza is an absolute standout—bursting with flavor! With a solid selection of brews, there’s something for every beer lover. Plenty of street parking and indoor seating make it super convenient, and with screens everywhere, it’s a prime spot to catch the game. Highly recommend!

We came here at 7:55pm to learn they have happy hour at 8:00! Great! I had the Bad Birdie ( too sweet for me) and the Wow. We had nachos, crab cakes, and AZ chicken roll. Skip the chicken roll it was boring. The nachos were great and salmon cakes good. Good sauce with crab cakes. We sat outside which was nice. They have fun Halloween decorations. Lots of parking.

Absolutely love this place!!! Been coming here for years now. The drinks AND food are both tremendous (can't say the same about other breweries in the valley). Love the atmosphere and the staff is always so friendly, if you're in the area try this place! (Try a peach beer) 10/10!

Vincitorio's Restaurant is a charming Italian eatery and wine bar located in the Royal Palm Plaza. The cozy, stonewalled space exudes warmth and tradition with its hand-crafted wood furnishings, exposed brick, and family photos adorning the walls. The restaurant offers a tried-and-tested menu featuring classics like mozzarella-stuffed meatballs, pasta Alfredo, and bubbling cheese pizzas. Additionally, their desserts are equally delightful, with the cannoli being a standout favorite.
Hubby surprised me with date night here for my birthday! We were greeted and seated front row to the piano which was a surprise as it was our first time! We had the pleasure of being served by Marcie who gave great recommendations through and through from wine to appetizers to food! Everything was incredible, the food fresh and the flavor made us feel like we were back in Italy on our honeymoon! Really great, authentic Italian food! We also got to meet the beauty and the brains behind the operation, as well as chef since it is family owned! I'd say we'd definitely be back but we literally went back the next night for take out pizza that was so go good..our now go to ◡̈

Sausage Fries: The Fries are delicious. They are not greasy, crispy outside, and soft on the be inside. The sausage is delicious. They are not greasy, juicy, and that flavor...wow. The Fries and sausage are not good together. They flavor is not enhanced when they are combined. Sausage and Peppers: The sausage is delicious. They are not greasy, juicy, and that flavor...wow. The bell pepper slices were soft. The marinara sauce is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I have never had marinara sauce like that. Honestly, I could have a bowl of marinara sauce with garlic bread and would have been happy.

Absolutely love the atmosphere here, the live piano and singing was romantic. I wish the food was better, Seems to me like they bake large amounts of food for dinner instead of cooking each dish to order. The chicken Marsala was bland and no sear one the chicken, the sausage was really good but again it was baked in sauce not seared and then put in a sauce. I do wanna go back to try the pizza cause I loved the atmosphere so much. This maybe someone's favorite just not mine

I thought I would stroll down memory lane and go back to one of my favorite Tempe Spots. Food was great as usual. The Server sat me right next to the only table that had customers, which would have been nice to have had some space so I couldn't hear everything they said. My main reason for 3 stars: the price. I understand tariffs and inflation, but $28 (before tip) for lunch when all I had was an iced tea, philly steak Sandwich, and a small side salad? Sadly this will be my last time there, I can't justify the price. Even if the food is pretty good.
Jeremy H — Google review
I was really excited to bring a friend to this place, and after reading some reviews, the few bad reviews I read about tasteless food came true. We walked in and immediatley greeted by a very nice hostess. I did call ahead and reserved a table in the piano room. This place definitely gave off a good vibe, with an impressive wine collection that filled all the wall space. Our server was dull. The new proprietor even came by our table and chatted with us about the wine collection. I had the Chicken Saltimbocca, and my friend ordered Chicken Marsala. The Saltimbocca was a major dissapointment, and the sauce tasted like something out of a can. This dish was slapped together like someone in a hurry, to get out of town. It didn't look good, and tasted as bad as the presentation. Definitley not made with love. My friends chicken marsala was tastless! How the hell do you screw up a marsala. She was very dissapointed and didn't come close to finishing the meal. The salad wasn't much to bragg about either. She left the salad and chicken for them to toss. I was embarrassed for this establishment. The people who leave positive reviews about the food here, don't know what the true meaning of using spices, and sauces that bring out the flavor of a true Italian meal. I love leaving honest and mostly positive reviews, but this really saddened me. For such a quaint little place, you'd think a better dining experience, would have been had. I know it is under new ownership, and hope they take this review serious enough to look at how they can make things better. I recently had two dinners at Italian restaraunts in San Diego, and they represtented, what I would expect from Vincintorios. Not the case. Feel free to read my other reviews and you will see what my expereinces were there. The cooks here cut corners, and the end product leaves little to desire. I've had more flavor from corporate chains like Carrabbas!! Vincintorios is definitely the neighborhood watering hole, but that is about it, from my experience.

Oh my gosh. Was so amazing. Love the small town feel with huge portions for the great price. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. It was middle of the day, yet I'm told night time dinner with the piano playing is worth it! Can't wait to go back!

I really enjoyed the restaurant and the food. I ordered a dish I have never had before and it was delicious!! The Fettuccine Aurora. It was a creamy tomato sauce with mushrooms and peas. For a starter we had the caprese salad and it was fabulous! I would go back just for this alone! The ingredients were so fresh and perfectly seasoned.

RigaTony's Authentic Italian Restaurant is a family-owned establishment that has been serving the Valley for 25 years. Located in Tempe, AZ, this restaurant offers a throwback decor and a menu filled with homestyle Italian favorites. The place is perfect for big family dinners and celebrations, offering dishes like Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Picatta, and their signature RigaTony pasta baked in mozzarella sauce. The restaurant also features a kids' menu with popular items like macaroni and cheese.
Walked in on a Thursday evening, no wait. Wow! First time and it hit the spot for pasta cravings. Our server was fantastic, great customer service. We got the clams for appetizer, Cajun pasta and seafood special. The kids pizza is huge! The bread and salad are amazing. Think olive garden, but better.

Definitely a fun place to go out to eat for family celebrations. Cheerful staff. The employees worked together like a well-oiled machine to handle the crowd for a busy night. Everything was fresh & plentiful with lots of leftovers to take home. Make sure you go early to avoid a long wait. Really clean restrooms.

I was driving many times by this restaurant and I often saw people waiting outside. My first thought was that it must be so good. So I gave it a try. I have to say that although I wanted to give it more stars, I debated between 3 and 4, I stick with the 3. The place is pretty big inside and it also has a patio. Due to the heat, we preferred to stay inside. We got complimentary salad to share and bread and olive oil. We ordered Tuscan Grilled Salmon and Chianti Short Ribs. The fish taste was just ok, I am not sure if it was really Atlantic salmon or it was farmed. Luckily the mix that it was on top helped with the taste . The risotto was good on the other hand, although it had some extra oil as seen in the picture. The short ribs were pretty good, however, after the dinner one of us didn't feel the best. I am not sure if it was not fresh or what. We also ordered two drinks - a Sicilian Punch which honestly tasted more like a juice and a The Godfather which was actually really good , with a smoke taste. The service was ok , nothing extraordinary, just basic .

We have never been disappointed with anything ordered from Rigatony’s. Always leave full and content with leftovers for tomorrow. My wife loves the chicken with capers and artichoke hearts and then subs angel hair pasta. I usually get the Tour. Today special was a Manly tour for celebrating Father’s Day week so much great food. Love the salad that comes with any entree. Oh oh oh the 5 layer chocolate cake is delicious. You should just get in the car and go!

4/5 stars. I'm glad we drove an hour for Rigatony! The flavor of the food was absolutely amazing, and the service was great. I ordered the Rigatony Tour, which came with a variety of dishes, including lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, meatballs, and chicken parmesan. Everything was delicious, but unfortunately, my food came out cold. Despite this, I'd definitely go back for another try. Maybe on my next birthday dinner, it'll hit all the right notes!"

I have lived here in AZ for 11 years and have FINALLY found an Italian restaurant that has NYC worthy food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. I'm not sure why it took so long to find this place but I went back again within a couple of days. The calamari, salad, bread, spaghetti, meatballs, fettuccine, shrimp, margaritas, seafood bake, and everything else we had was amazing. If you're from NYC and missing Italian, this is your spot.

I’ve been here quite a few times, so I think it’s time to leave a review. This review is based on my most recent visit. My partner and I ordered Fried Ravioli, Fettuccine Alfredo, and the Eggplant Parmesan. The Complimentary Bread is nice and soft on the inside, though almost a bit hard on the outside. It goes extremely well with their olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The Strawberry Lemonade was quite sweet, but it had me wishing it was more tarty/sour, but nonetheless it was refreshing. The Fried Ravioli was extremely savory, and the tomato cream pairs well with it. Though if you are looking for something with lots of flavor I’d recommend trying something else. The Fettuccine Alfredo was perfectly al dente and creamy, and the herbs that was on top were very fresh. The Eggplant Parmesan was much better than ones that I’ve had before. The sauce was very flavorful, though in my partners opinion the pasta wasn’t soft enough. They also stated that the texture of the eggplant wasn’t squishy or mushy, which that’s a good thing. The service was great, the waiter stopped by periodically and asked if we needed anything or had any questions. The atmosphere was good, the decor and the seating was great. Though it got quite loud in the restaurant, loud enough to where I didn’t even realize music was playing. Overall my experience was pretty good, only "okay" thing was the fried ravioli and the lemonade. Would come again for a special occasion.

Nestled in Arizona's largest South Asian shopping center, The Dhaba is a charming family-owned restaurant that brings the rich culinary traditions of Punjab to life. This award-winning eatery not only serves as a delightful dining spot but also features a market filled with traditional grocery items. Guests can savor an array of authentic dishes, from freshly baked tandoor bread and succulent meats like chicken and lamb to aromatic rice and hearty vegetarian options.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A True Gem for Punjabi Food Lovers! I recently visited a Punjabi restaurant in Tempe, Arizona, and I must say—it was an experience to remember! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and incredible hospitality. The service was top-notch, and I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner and their wonderful family, who are clearly passionate about sharing their authentic flavors with the community. Now, let’s talk about the food. I ordered the chaat, and WOW—it was absolutely phenomenal! Every bite was bursting with vibrant flavors, the perfect balance of spices, and that authentic street food charm that’s hard to find outside India. You could tell it was made with love and attention to detail. The ambiance added to the experience, making it feel like a slice of Punjab right here in Tempe. If you’re looking for incredible food, genuine service, and a place that feels like home, this is the spot to visit. Highly recommended, and I can’t wait to come back to try more dishes!

We visited The Dhaba and both ordered chicken curry, but they accidentally brought us lamb instead. After we gave them feedback, they kindly brought us the correct chicken curry — great customer service! We also added garlic naan on the side, which was soft and flavorful. Everything we ordered was really delicious. Would definitely come back for more!

Very authentic Indian cuisine. My family and I been to this place several times and were happy with our food. We ordered chicken tika masala and sharabi kababi goshit. We ordered medium spice and it was too spicy for us. The chicken was chewy. Love the lamb curry. For appetizer, we ordered keema samosa. It was not as good, great texture but seasoning could be better. I also had the masala chai. The tea portion was a bit small. Overall, very average service.

GREAT INDIAN FOOD! I really am impressed! They have variety of vegetarian dishes. I loved Chhole Bhature. What was even more amazing was the staff, especially Baldev and the owner. They were quick and friendly. The customer service was so good. I highly recommend this restaurant in Phoenix. We don’t really find such good Indian restaurants in town.

I was in the area, and happened across this lovely restaurant. I thought it was the Los Amigos Market. Lol. Vijay was My Waiter, who had a brimming smile! I have never tried a place like this before. I was pleasantly happy with my good luck if coming here. I came in for just a drink, which i had the masala chai. It was tasty with some added sugar. The dipping sauce with the bread that was at my table when I was seated was quite delicious in flavor! Each had a spice level to it, which cleared up my chest congestion. Lol. The tarin sauce was sweet & spicy. The green one was a lil too much for me. I think its the mint. The red one WAS MY FAVORITE!!! It is just tomatoes with fried red chile. I would definitely recommend for A New Experience! The music by the way. Straight vibes!!! Thank You Vinay! 😉

I went there after so long and saw a huge difference in quality of food. We ordered panner parata, naans, kadai panner which is overcooked and too hard(feels like papad). When I asked the staff, he was rude and told “this is how we make it” . It could be well handled but he failed to do it. Ordered Kadai panner spicy which turned out to be too salty. Overall I could only rate 3/5.

Fantastic cuisine with rich, authentic flavours an absolute delight for the taste buds. The menu offered a vibrant mix of traditional and modern Indian dishes. The ambience was warm and inviting, and the hospitality truly stood out. Special mention to the staff member the guy with the black Skechers shoes and green glasses, his energy and enthusiasm really elevated the entire dining experience. Friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the food, he not only gave great recommendations but also shared little cultural insights behind the dishes. You could tell he genuinely wanted guests to enjoy the cuisine and feel at home. Definitely worth a visit go try it out yourself, and if you spot the guy with the green glasses, you’re in for a great time!

Haji-Baba is a Middle Eastern restaurant and grocery store that offers budget-friendly ethnic cuisine. The unpretentious eatery features a walk-up counter for grabbing kabob pitas and hummus to go, as well as a dining room for those who prefer table service. The menu includes a variety of dishes such as kebabs, shawarma, gyros, falafel, babaganoush, and more.
Legit! Been a while since I had legit Gyro meat...this was quite flavorful. Amazing Falafel and the Tabouli was delicious, like top notch. The Spanakopita was good, but might try something else next time. The pickles in the Gyro were a nice addition and flavor profile. Not pictured but a MUST is getting Baklava, they so many to try, I would save room to try multiple next time. This place is a GeM!

English restaurant
Cornish Pasty Co is a down-to-earth eatery that specializes in crafting traditional and vegan Cornish pasties, along with other English favorites. The Cornish pasty, originating from Cornwall in Southwest England, has a rich history dating back to the 1200s and typically contains potatoes, steak, swede (rutabaga), and onions. This niche restaurant concept has been serving unique Cornish pasties for over a decade, accompanied by beer.
Cornish Pasty is always a solid pick with its cool, dark atmosphere and unique bar and tables. The service was excellent and super attentive, though I was bummed they were out of the Pilgrim pasty when I went. Even though some items sell out and food can take a bit during busy times, it’s still worth checking out my kids and I enjoyed our pasties, even if it had a little too much jelly.
Thomas M — Google review
Ordered the oggie pasty and the cubano pasty, both were stuffed with fillings and had flavorful sauces that came with them. The chips (fries) were fresh and slightly crunchy. It was pretty busy but service was quick! Lots of seating available.

This place is absolutely beautiful! The food a great as well! I got the Shepherds Pie Pasty and it was delicious. I had ordered take out after a long day at work, so did didn’t eat it here and live 30 min away. But it was still delicious and my husband even loved it. He’s a hard critic. The portions are large, so one pasty can easily feed 2 if you normally don’t eat large portions. Or save and eat the next day. We can’t wait to do a date here in future.
Meghan S — Google review
Entered and it was a very slow night. First thing that I noticed was how loud the music was. The music also did not fit the British vibe of the “pub”. Our waitress verbally berated one of our guests for throwing away trash in the “kitchen only trash” that was not even in the kitchen and no signs to not use it. Very bad way to start our experience here. After the verbal lash out we attempted to order our food. We attempted to order multiple items that we were told are “not available right now” despite there being 10 total people in the restaurant including my party of 6. The list of unavailable items include, Sheppard pie, Scottish eggs, the pilgrim pasty, bread pudding and the Carmel Apple pasty. There could well be more unavailable items, these are just the ones we attempted to order and were disappointed we could not try. Now to the good of this place…the food! Despite it being a hassle to get the food we wanted we were not disappointed once the food came out. So delicious, well seasoned, and very reasonably priced. They also had a pool table you could entertain yourself with as you waited for your food to come out. Sticky toffee pudding is a MUST try from the deserts, hopefully it’s available!! Lastly the bathrooms. For a restaurant that was so clean and organized I was surprised to see paper towels all on the ground and graffiti on the trash bins. I would expect that from a circle K, not this place. Overall, terrible service and an unnecessarily loud atmosphere but some great food.
Nolan P — Google review
My latest visit to Cornish Pasty Co. in Mesa was excellent. The classic Oggie pasty was delicious, with a perfectly flaky crust and flavorful filling that felt fresh and comforting. The menu has a ton of variety, so there's something for everyone, whether you want a traditional pasty or something like their Chicken Tikka Masala. The service was also a definite standout. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, offering thoughtful suggestions. The moody, dark pub atmosphere is inviting and feels both cozy and vibrant. If you're in the mood for some seriously good comfort food and a casual, unique place to hang out, Cornish Pasty Co. is worth checking out. It's a reliable spot that delivers great food and good feels.

Great place that we visited from out-of-town. Wonderful pub atmosphere, good selection of beer, and the pasties are the main attraction. Eat them by hand if you can. Several of the pasties sell out early on the weekend so the selection is better during lunch on a weekday.

Cocina Chiwas is a vibrant restaurant located in a charming pedestrian-only neighborhood with a bustling night market on Thursdays. The atmosphere is lively and cozy, offering a nice, upscale vibe. The extensive cocktail menu and elevated classic food options make it an ideal spot for both drinks and dining. While the service may have been slightly overwhelmed, the overall experience was pleasant. The shrimp ceviche was particularly delightful, being refreshingly light and not overly tangy.
Cocina Chiwa is an absolute gem and dare I say, I enjoyed more than sister restaurant, Bacanora. Every bite here is bursting with flavor and creativity. We started with the elote corn, and wow — it was smoky, creamy, and perfectly charred. One of the best I’ve had. The burrata salad was a surprising standout — the combo of velvety burrata with roasted squash and sweet potatoes was both comforting and refreshing. The carnitas tacos were Juicy, tender pork with bold seasoning, nestled in warm blue corn tortillas...3 of them.. So simple, so perfect. They hit all the right notes. Vibe? Chill, stylish, and full of good energy. Service? Friendly and fast. Cocina Chiwa has that magic mix of great food, great people, and great atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.

I finally decided to give this restaurant a try after being a bit hesitant because of some mixed reviews and the pricing. I’m glad I did—everything exceeded expectations. The short rib tacos were outstanding, and the rice and beans were flavorful and perfectly done. A special shoutout to Kat at the bar—she was incredibly knowledgeable and made some of the best Old Fashioned I’ve had in a while. She even surprised me with a custom cocktail that turned out phenomenal. Overall, great food, great drinks, and great service. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Some of the best Mexican food we’ve had in AZ! We started with the watermelon ceviche - refreshing and delicious (would’ve liked the pieces a little smaller, but not a big deal). The short rib was incredibly tender, and the pork was flavorful. We tried both the red and white sangria and they were tasty too. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Definitely coming back!

We got the elite, carnitas and ribeye. Food was really good and service was excellent. Maria was our server. Would recommend for anyone for a chill dinner spot
Kenny D — Google review
Cocina Chiwas has quickly made it’s mark as one of my favorite spots in Tempe. With an intimate setting and stellar service, it’s a hard place not to love! I’ve dined in twice now, both times we made a reservation around 5pm when it was less busy and had no wait. My first visit was for a leadership dinner at work. The four of us shared the Ribeye Aguachile, and my boss had the bartender’s choice cocktail and loved it. I was sick and was recommended the non alcoholic, warm Spiced Apple Cider, and it was wonderful. The aguachile was both flavorful and tender. We all raved about it to our server and she proceeded to recommend the special ribeye tacos. We ordered 2 each and all devoured them! Again, so flavorful and tender. I couldn’t stop thinking about this place and took my partner there last night! This time, I was able to enjoy both their Red and White Sangria, and my partner got a Spicy House Margarita (Chiwarita, I believe it was named). They do not lie when they say these drinks are boozy! I of course had to get the Ribeye Aguachile again it was just as I remembered. We also split the Birria Quesadilla and it was gone in maybe 5 mins. We opted out of dessert but the Mexican hot chocolate cake our server described sounded glorious. I will have to get everyone’s names the next time I am here. All the employees are so knowledgeable about the menu and I really enjoy the open concept kitchen. This place is absolutely worth the extra $$ to go somewhere nice. Do yourselves a favor and head to Cocina Chiwas for your next night out!

Newer restaurant with truly excellent elevated Mexican dishes. The food was delicious and inventive, taking everyday food a few steps up. The four of us got all different meals and tried a little bit of everything, it was so fun! Our server was funny and attentive, making us feel like VIPs even though this was our first time there. The manager Juan came around just enhanced our night. The ambiance was so, so comfortable and inviting. We really enjoyed our experience overall and were talking about what we would try when we come back!! Prices were perfect for the the quality and portions you are getting, also we didn't feel overly stuffed when we were done. Give this place a try, you won't regret it!!

The menu features classic American comfort food prepared to perfection, including mouth-watering 36-hour BBQ pork ribs.
1st time here, loved the atmosphere! Loved our waitress Brielle! She was so sweet, happy amd and excellent waitress! The food was good depending on what you order. My Mongolian Short Ribs were drowning in sauce and the meat was overcooked and tough. My husband enjoy his MAC Burger despite there being a lot of bread in it. Our desserts were delicious! The beer and mocktail were delicious!

I do not have many pictures of food. We came with a big group for drinks. But the wings were AMAZING! And so was my cosmo! This place is huuuge! And very nice for large groups. Although we were not the only group of over 20 ppl here the server took very good care of us. Everyone here is very nice. My husband misplaced his eyeglasses and they called when we got back home to follow up. Leaving a review because the name of the restaurant was not enticing to me, we were in town for a week and I went everywhere else but here because I thought it wasn’t going to be good and I regret it. I will definitely come back and totally recommend this place.

Category: Fine food. For some reason, dining at the Culinary Dropout always feels like a party. Though we have enjoyed some of the other Phoenix/Scottsdale locations, this was the first time we dropped into the Tempe Dropout. We had matinee tix to a show at the Arizona Theatre Company, which is only a short walk away, so we made a lunch rez and sat at the bar and chatted with the bartenders. True to form, it felt like a party. Both the dining room side and the open-air Yard side were moderately busy this beautiful Sunday afternoon in early November. The place is really spacious, with high steel-beamed ceilings, exposed ductwork, and skylights. Ceiling heaters make the Yard side usable even in cooler weather. A small stage hosts musicians on Friday and Saturday nights. High-top tables abound, and the Yard has large couch pits for hosting groups. Light fixtures that remind me of early satellites hang randomly. And of course there are TVs. I didn’t want to fall asleep at the theater so I ordered an Athletic non-alcoholic beer, which complemented the excellent deviled eggs and French dip that we shared. I substituted the housemade potato chips for fries, as I always do. They are crispy and golden and perfect. I’m SO glad they brought them back to the menu. They are the best I have found in Phoenix/Scottsdale and one of the main reasons — if not the top reason — we drop in at the Dropouts. YouTube’s Chef’s Apprentice

We only stopped in for drinks and a few snacks, but wow—Culinary Dropout in Tempe did not disappoint! The pretzel bites were soft, warm, and perfectly salty, and that cheese sauce? Totally addictive. We also tried the roasted bread and it was unreal—crusty, buttery, and full of flavor. Drinks were on point, the vibe was relaxed but lively, and the service was super friendly. Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, is a vibrant and retro chain that offers a seasonal menu of creative breakfast and lunch fare along with cocktails. With outlets in various locations, including Pima Crossing and the Mill Avenue District, Snooze provides a boisterous atmosphere for brunch. The restaurant's colorful and nostalgic decor creates a relaxing environment to enjoy its responsibly-sourced, quality ingredients in classic breakfast dishes like omelets, French toast, and breakfast burritos.
First time ever in this place, already excellent impression at the reception, very kind, atmosphere and furniture like the 70s, wonderful. Food, excellent presentation of the dishes, and cooked in the right way. An exceptional cappuccino, as an Italian I can say that. A truly excellent orange juice and mimosa. A special thanks to our waitress Tren.

This cool little restaurant has a retro vibe. It’s extremely clean and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. For drinks, my wife had an iced coffee and I had a strawberry lemonade. For breakfast we had cinnamon roll pancakes and a pancake trio with cinnamon roll, strawberry shortcake, and crème brûlée pancakes. Everything was hot and fresh and tasted very good.

I have been coming to Snooze for a few years now, and it is one of my favorite breakfast places. What I like about it is the location. It is within walking distance of where I work, making it convenient to walk there whenever I crave a good brunch. One of my favorite dishes there is the breakfast tacos. Breakfast tacos are among my favorite breakfast foods, and I especially enjoy them when I get them with avocado. They also have great omelettes. One of my favorites is their Denver omelette. You can also never go wrong with their breakfast burritos either. The service is fantastic. One server, Bryan, is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Whenever I stop by, he is always a pleasure to talk to, and he, along with the other staff members, ensures that I have everything I need. I appreciate how they care about everyone in their restaurant having a great experience. Another thing I like about Snooze is the colorful atmosphere. It is a great place to go not only for brunch, but to brighten up your day whenever you are feeling down. I look forward to future visits and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a great brunch spot in the ASU area.

I absolutely recommend checking this breakfast spot out 😍 The pancake flight was amazing! 3 flavors in one serving: strawberry shortcake, cinnamon roll, and Pineapple upside down and I am glad I didn't substitute anything out. The fresh squeezed orange juice was refreshing and the mixed lemonade special drink was quite flavorful as well. The breakfast tacos with avocado were amazing. Be sure to plan accordingly because this place is PACKED often. Be ready to wait for a table or choose a good off-hour to visit. From 2 people to a group of friends, you're just bound to have an absolutely lovely breakfast here.

Great food and service! Our waitresses were both super friendly and nice. We got the eggs Benedict (the regular ham one and the prosciutto one) which had a good hollandaise. Both were great! However I was not expecting to like the pancakes as much as I did. They really tasted homemade. I don’t even really like pancakes and I came back a second day and ordered them. By far the pineapple upside down pancake was the best, followed by the pumpkin and the cinnamon roll. The Bloody Mary was also great. Highly recommend! We had about a 20 minute wait both times but it was well worth it.

My girlfriend and I are visiting from Utah and decided to come here for breakfast, and we had a wonderful experience! Our server, Ty, aka T-money, was absolutely amazing. Such a sweet personality and very friendly, she gave us recommendations and helped us decide and even brought us free pancakes as a welcome gift! If we lived around here we would definitely be coming here again.

Crêpe Bar is a modern cafe that started as a food truck and later expanded into a sit-down restaurant in 2012. The menu offers both classic and innovative crêpes, using ingredients from local and regional farms. Owned by Chef Jeff Kraus, who appeared on Food Network's Chopped, the restaurant also serves specialty coffees.
Crêpe Bar is our go-to local breakfast place. We've tried most of the menu options and never been disappointed! The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, and polite. The art on the walls is always entertaining and there are small plants for sale. It's a great place to meet people for a meal and everyone we've brought has enjoyed having a crêpe experience. Check it out!

Hands down the best restaurant I’ve visited in the past year. The attention to detail with the ingredients of each dish is insane and the presentation is outstanding. The chef shared samples of some of the other specialties they offer and we were blown away. Highly recommend for both the sweet and savory pallets out there. Something for everyone.

The Crepe Bar is an excellent choice for breakfast. The variety of savory and sweet options was pleasant as it could fit a lot of different taste buds. The avocado toast was hearty with a lot of greens that gave the dish balance. The Street Tacos and Adobo burrito had similar profiles, and although while delicious, would recommend not trying them within the same meal. Service was great and would recommend those to visit if they haven't had the chance!

I've been here many times back when I was a drinker I enjoyed their beverages here quite a bit and they had smoked drinks they have all kinds of drinks if you're a drinker. If Good foods what you're interested in though this is a place to go. A lot of people always think of crepes as being the sweet dessert things when I guess a lot of people like them but when I want a crepe I go get some of the savory ones here. I think my favorite is the Jamaican jerk but that's cuz I'm kind of a jerk. Great place to meet friends or family to have brunch or lunch it's really a delicious restaurant. The food always is fresh cooked to order and it doesn't take forever they serve delicious food.

The workers are so nice and the chef himself served the food to us! It's a pretty quiet place I think music would have been nice. The food was delicious! I'd eat here again.

Wonderful place! Fresh, delicious and interesting dishes. The portions were large and artfully presented. Jeff and his team were welcoming and friendly and service was great. The room was casual and relaxed with an unhurried feeling. We tried the house made granola which was excellent, the sugar crepe and burrito adobo crepe (pictured below) and everything was superb. Will definitely come back!

All I can say is WoW! Got a recommendation to check it out and am blown away. Never got into crepes, but dang I walked out surprisingly full. Wasn't expecting that. The experience from walking in, tasting their granola, the grand crepe, and the customer service this place is a hidden gem! Coming back to try the others very soon!!

Awesome food, incredibly nice staff, kid friendly, great coffee, and cool atmosphere. They let my daughters see how crepes are made and apply their own powdered sugar even after returning a couple times. Super friendly staff. The crepes are outstanding—you won’t go wrong regardless of whether you want something savory or sweet. Coffee shop options also: great coffee.

Ghost Ranch is a vibrant dining destination that reimagines traditional Southwest cuisine with a contemporary twist. This stylish venue offers an inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy happy hour and dinner throughout the week, along with delightful weekend brunches. The menu showcases a variety of dishes inspired by the rich culinary heritage of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and northern Mexico.
Sampler platter, chips, salsa & guacamole and the cornbread. All delicious! There was a large group also there so our food took a little too long but our server gave us the chips appetizer on the house to make up for it. I've been before and the food IS really good, as are the drinks. Recommend.
Caroling G — Google review
After two visits, I can confidently say Ghost Ranch has left a lasting impression. There’s so much to love—where to begin? **Service:** We were fortunate to have Noah as our server on both occasions. He was outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely personable, which made both dinners even more enjoyable. **Atmosphere:** The decor and ambiance are beautifully done, creating a warm and inviting space. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to slightly lower the volume of the music, which at times felt a bit overpowering. **Food & Drink:** This is where Ghost Ranch truly shines. The menu offers a brilliant fusion of modern cuisine with traditional Mexican and New Mexican flavors. The *Tomahawk Pork Chop* was a standout—perfectly cooked, rich, and deeply savory. We also tried *The Sampler*, which was a fantastic way to explore a variety of flavors and textures, each one thoughtfully prepared. The drink selection complemented the food beautifully, rounding out an exceptional dining experience, but the old fashion called to me and did not disappoint.

Ghost Ranch was such a positive experience. I had driven by it a few times and was very excited to bring my fiancé here. Often times, when something is anticipated so much, it does not live up to it. Not the case here. We ordered their version of elote. It was served in a skillet with the corn on the bottom, cheese and a mayo spread over the top. This was the only dish we were not thrilled about. It was tasty but the layer of cheese was way to thick. The menu mentioned cotija cheese but it was a much thicker, melted version of a cheese blend. It made the dish very oily, which took away. The first couple bites were tasty but the thick cheese and oil got a little overwhelming. Chips were fresh and very good. For our main dish we shared the platter, which was a perfect size and so delicious. I can eat a ton but my fiancé likes little portions of different things so it worked perfectly for us. The skirt steak was cooked to a perfect medium temperature. It also had a great flavor! Many times the skirt steak at a Mexican restaurant is very thin and overcooked. This was thick, juicy and very flavorful. This dish cones with 3 enchiladas as well. Each had a different sauce and was delicious. They seemed to be deep fried for a second because the enchiladas were a little crispy. Not in a bad way at all though. They were very good. Lastly we had desert. It was between 2 but we chose this one. It was a very large portion and very good. The strawberries on top and the whipped cream were a nice touch. Neither of us drink alcohol so we just had water. Atmosphere was great, our server was friendly and the food was great. We will definitely be back.

I debated on even leaving a review, because I don’t want people to know about this place. Walked in around 7pm on a Saturday night. Plenty of tables, so there was no wait - which was unbelievable. Got the queso fondido as an appetizer. Chorizo was amazing with it. Margarita flight was also great. The Fuego margarita is what I’d get next time individually though. I’m an indecisive person so I got the sampler. It was amazing and a great choice, when you want a little bit of everything. Wife got the Aztec cake which was great. I’d honestly get this next time. Finished it off with the Chocoflan which was a 5/5. Honestly, everything here was near perfect. Service was great - particularly Alex. He checked on us often and gave amazing recommendations. Atmosphere was amazing. Lighting was perfect. The price is worth it. This place gives everyone else a run for their money. I’ll absolutely be back here very soon.

Alter Ego is a trendy restaurant and bar located in the Hilton Hotel, offering a menu of New American cuisine along with a variety of cocktails and draft beers.
Alter Ego at the Canopy isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a vibe that snuck up on us and claimed the title of launch pad of the trip. We came in with zero expectations and left making it our default starting point every day. The space nails that sleek, Japanese-inspired calm—modern lines, soft light, and a bar that hums with quiet confidence. The staff? Sharp. Each bartender kept the drinks topped off while dropping insider intel on which Tempe bars actually deserve your time (and when). It’s like they hand you a local’s cheat code with your cocktail. The food held its own too. The Katsu chicken sandwich was a perfect mix of crunch, sauce, and comfort—bold enough to make you pause mid-conversation. Every plate that passed by looked curated, not just cooked. Alter Ego does what most spots in hotel lobbies forget—gives you an anchor. The kind of place where a late lunch casually morphs into your first drink of the night. If you’re staying in Tempe, start here. Chances are, you’ll end up here again.

I had dinner. Appetizers were good. Drink not my favorite I got melon mule. I wouldn’t recommend it. Salmon was tasty. Ribeye was not great. He asked medium they give him well done. They re made it but still was more well done than medium. He just ate 1/2 of it. Desserts were good. We got coconut tres leches and I forgot the name of the another dessert. Bill was almost 240 with the tip just fyi

Had breakfast at Alter Ego inside the Canopy Hotel and really enjoyed it. I ordered the Varsity Breakfast — fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy hashbrowns, toast, sausage, and fresh orange juice. Everything was tasty and well-prepared, a solid way to start the day. The space is stylish and open, with a great vibe. In the mornings it feels relaxed, but at night this spot really comes alive — the bar is always full and the restaurant is packed. It’s clearly one of the go-to hangouts in Tempe. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just nearby, Alter Ego is a great choice for breakfast, drinks, or a lively evening out.

I've stayed at Canopy by Hilton twice now and both times I booked through Amex and had a $100 food & beverage credit, so I got to try a lot of food at Alter Ego. For a hotel restaurant, it's pretty great. The menu has a lot of options and everything is pretty tasty. As a regular restaurant I'm not quite sure I would go if I lived in the area, but I also wouldn't rule it out. Both trips I had the Fork & Knife Breakfast Burrito and it was absolutely incredible. You can EASILY feed two people with this, and I'm sad to say I almost finished the whole thing this morning. Fast forward 10 hours and I wasn't even that hungry for dinner, but I had the miso salmon which the bartender recommended and was great. The menu was slightly different from a year and a half ago so it's nice to see they don't just let the menu sit for frequent visitors of the hotel. Service has always been excellent from both bars/restaurants in the hotel.

House of Tricks is a charming restaurant located in a 1920s bungalow, offering a cozy and intimate dining experience. The establishment features a patio with a fire pit and bar, providing an ideal setting for outdoor get-togethers. The restaurant's picturesque outdoor seating area is surrounded by lush gardens and a goldfish-filled pond, creating a romantic ambiance for guests.
This place is honestly pretty amazing. A fancier dining option for a reasonable price in Tempe. The restaurant does very well with sauces and garnishes in their dish. Generous portion size for the entree, and my pup enjoyed the leftover that I brought back. All the meat dishes that we had were so tender that we barely used the knife. The cocktails are on point and have a good amount of alcohol in them. Cozy indoor seating and more lively outdoor seating. They have well placed heaters so you don’t get cold. I recommend making a reservation ahead especially on the weekend. The staff was absolutely friendly and explained the off-the-menu items well. Good dessert options with a selection of dessert drinks. They were doing wine tasting for dinner when i visited (December 2021).

Phenomenal food, good wine selection, great service, and amazing outdoor seating! Treated ourselves to a fancy dinner and it was definitely worth it. The weather was terrible, but our server, Avery, was accommodating and placed us right next the the fire pit. I was pleasantly surprised with every single thing we had. The pork shank’s jalapeño apple jam was mind blowing! The chef’s attention to detail in every recipe is what sets this food apart. Highly recommend!

Some street and alleyway parking, but very limited. Takes cash and card and as of 6/26 is still requiring masks if you are not seated; staff still wearing masks as well. We only had drinks and an order of bread, but the spot is really cool and servers were above average, so I wanted to give a review. Cocktails were tasty and well presented and there's a cool outdoor bar with a TON of outdoor seating. One of the cool things about this place is that it's almost completely surrounded by vegetation and fountains, cooling off the air and practically giving House of Tricks its own weather in the midst of an unforgiving Arizona climate. I will update my review once I head back for food, but for now I can tell you this is an awesome spot to grab an afternoon drink in a really unique and awesome setting with down to earth and helpful servers. Recommended!

House of tricks, house of surprises! We love this restaurant, attracted by the interesting name, but the good quality tasty food, the nice green environment, great service are all beyond our expectations. Every dish we ordered was so good. Pork shank is a big dish, we did not finish at all. Maybe I only had half and starting to feeling full. The portion is huge, really make the price worthy. Apple bread pudding dessert is so good! Goons try! We would like to come back but they said they will close the restaurant permanently soon, omg so sad to see such a nice restaurant to go! Sad!

Our experience was perfect! From the friendly bartenders making great drinks, to Andre our waiter who was beyond attentive and sweet. They have a wonderful variety on the menu. I had the tenderloin and it just melted in my mouth! The atmosphere is charming and romantic. Great date night! Enjoy and outdoor table if you can. They had heaters and fleece blankets for our laps to keep us comfortable!! I loved this restaurant 😊

So this is very weird that I haven’t reviewed house of tricks. I am. It sure how many times I have been here and or how many photos of the food I have taken. This is one of my favorite places in Arizona. Always an exceptional meal and great cocktails. A lot of the stuff on the menu changes often so I’ve had a lot of options. From duck, chicken, and lamb shank. Like the photo I’ll post here. This dish! One of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life. The purée was just to die for. Just simply amazing. As I write this I realize I need to see if I can go back for it again before it’s gone but it probably is. Here is also a photo of their duck breast and the Salvatore caramel bread pudding. Also very delicious. One thing not pictured is the Korean bbq ribs. Those bad boys are always worth getting for an appetizer. Such good taste. Took left overs home because I was super excited to just have that taste again later. Also not pictured are my cocktails but do you really need to see a picture of those in order to try them for yourself?

My husband treated me to this amazing restaurant for my birthday in September of last year. The staff was very attentive and nice. They were knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients. Our reservation was for 6pm and we dined outside. The experience was simply amazing. I was a bit bothered by the fact that it was downtown Tempe and you could here the college kids revving cart engines and motorcycles but there dining experience overshadowed all of that and I forgot about everything else outside the restaurant. The cocktails are great also! Great prices also. My husband and I each had an appetizer, entree, bacon arugula salad and 2 cocktails each and our bill was about $140 without the tip. WELL WORTH THE VISIT!!!!

Yupha's Thai Kitchen is a popular and award-winning Thai restaurant that specializes in fried rice dishes, noodles, and curries. The restaurant is set up next to the Pollack Tempe Cinemas dollar theater, making it an easy (and cheap) dinner option. Yupha Dequenne has been actively involved in sustainability efforts at her restaurant, including using biodegradable to-go containers and recycling services.
We visited Yupha’s Thai Kitchen and had a great experience. We ordered the Yupha’s Fried Rice, Drunken Noodles, and Fried Pad Thai, and every dish delivered on flavor. The fried rice had the perfect balance of seasoning without being too oily, the Drunken Noodles had just the right kick of spice with tender noodles, and the Pad Thai was savory, fresh, and satisfying. You can really taste the care that goes into the cooking here. Portions were generous, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back and try more from the menu. Definitely a solid spot for Thai food lovers!

The best Thai food I have had in AZ so far. My only request is please include the option to select extra cashew nuts especially in the pineapple fried rice when placing an order through Doordash or uber eats. This place is amongst the top 3 places I have ever had Thai food in the states. It is neck and neck with the number 1 spot called MA-NOW Thai Cusine in Hillsborough Oregon.

Always greeted and sat right away with a friendly staff even while busy. Food comes super fast compared to anywhere else in town that's for sure. Everything taste fresh, cooked to perfection and never under or over cooked. Just perfect. Thai tea taste delicious. Not many restaurants get this one right. It's not over powering with a bitter taste. Could be a little bigger but maybe I just enjoy it too much and want more haha. Pad thai. My go to. Noodles are perfectly cooked, meat os nice and tender for the beef and cooked great for chicken. No char, not burnt. Just cooked perfect again. You get a really good amount of food for it too. Not skimped. Yum nua (beef salad) taste amazing too. Lots of protein and the greens and veggies were fresh. Not wilted or saugy. Highly recommend this place. Also the desserts are so good. Coconut ice cream one with the rice was great.

We ate at Yupha's upon the recommendation of a neighbor - it turned out to be the best recommendation ever. Everything that was ordered - shrimp appetizer, Yupha's fried rice with pork, Drunken Noodles - was fresh, served hot, and was full of flavor. We rarely ever order dessert but the sound of homemade coconut ice cream and fried banana with ice cream were too much to resist - refreshing and delicious. All at a very reasonable price. The crazy part? Our server (May?) was the sweetest and friendliest person ever while also being very skilled. Can't wait to return soon.

Popped into Postino’s Annex in Tempe to celebrate my favorite travel partner’s birthday, and let me tell you, this place is vibes. You’d never guess it’s tucked near a college campus, because the moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve teleported somewhere between a chic wine lounge and your cool friend’s backyard party that somehow always has perfect lighting. The ambiance is warm, laid-back, and effortlessly stylish, exposed brick, dangling lights, and that cozy-meets-trendy energy that makes you want to stay for “just one more glass.” The music’s good, the crowd’s fun, and the staff? Absolute rockstars. They made sure the birthday girl and the five guys she somehow convinced to join her (yes, we all came for moral support and carbs) were taken care of like VIPs. Food? Outstanding. The bruschetta board is basically a love language, and if you’re not pairing it with a bottle (or two) of wine, you’re doing it wrong. Every bite, every sip, every laugh, perfection. Already planning my next excuse to “accidentally” end up back here with a glass of Moscato in hand and a bruschetta board in front of me.

Love this place! Went the other night and had a great time. Shoutout to the bartenders Niko and Jr. – super friendly, fast, and made us feel right at home. Best service I’ve had in Tempe! The tri-tip dip is outstanding – juicy meat, perfect roll, and that au jus is 🔥. Paired it with an ice-cold beer poured just right. So good! Cool vibe, awesome staff, killer food and drinks. Already want to go back!

Girls night out! From the start to finish our service was 10/10 would recommend!! Our server Nico was on it, always making sure we were taken cared of. The Manager JR was absolutely delightful and very organized at managing his team. Food is also wonderful!!! Definitely coming back!!!!

Restaurant
Perfect Pear Bistro is a charming restaurant with a serene and beautiful ambiance, featuring an expansive covered patio that adds to its unexpected charm. The menu offers a robust selection of nutritious options including sandwiches, bowls, salads, and pasta dishes. It's a great spot for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free diners as they can customize their selections. The restaurant puts a healthy twist on classic American comfort foods at reasonable prices.
When we arrived the inside was fully reserved, so were seated next to some misters which made the heat comfortable. As the day progressed, the entire restaurant was full of people. We arrived at a great time. I didn’t know how popular this place was. The food was delicious and felt healthy. The service was great.

We had a fantastic dining experience. There were four of us, and everyone gave the food a solid 5 stars. The bread was outstanding, and every dish was full of great flavor. Portions were generous and well worth the price. The indoor dining area had a cozy, warm atmosphere, while the outdoor seating provided another nice option. Highly recommend.

Last minute dining. Seated outside on a beautiful night in November at 5:15 with no reservation. Staff was super friendly. Prices are surprisingly moderate for such fresh food. We had a vegetarian in our party of three, and there were many options. My seasonal martini was exceptional. The Perfect Pear salad was delish. Soup a little salty, but that seems to be the norm when eating out. Acoustics were lovely- easy to have a conversation. I will return.

Perfect Pear Bistro is one of my favorite brunch spots in Tempe when I want fresh comfort food and a relaxed morning out. Their menu offers a fun variety, think roasted butternut squash tacos, Pear Cobb salad, plus vegetarian & vegan swap-ins so everyone in the group is happy. The patio setting feels cheerful and casual; I especially appreciate the shaded outdoor tables and misters (so it doesn’t get too hot) when brunching later in the morning. Service tends to be warm and efficient, and though it can get busy, it never feels rushed. Truly a great way to start the day in Tempe.

Absolutely love this restaurant and would visit regularly if I lived nearby. The spicy margarita was in my top 3 margaritas of all time. The food options were so hard to choose from. I got the spicy ginger quinoa bowl and wished I could have tried so many other things on the menu. Great flavors and super cute environment. Our server was super sweet and helpful.

Great little family owned gem in Tempe! Absolutely recommend! Healthy food, afordable prices and great portions! Beer selection is on point! Great for students and familes! A must!
Estef V — Google review
What an amazing spot! The best part, the service. Both gentleman, the one who seated us and the one who served us were fantastic at showing they care. Super neat outside patio too. The food came quick but we just beat the rush. Clearly they are an amazing place as in 20 minutes it went from almost empty to almost overflowing. I always forget the food pictures but the Mushroom and Brie soup was phenomenal! The Chicken BLT sandwich was a bit disappointing though. It lacked flavor and the flavor it had wasn’t that good. Don’t really know why but I was not a fan at all. It was a giant sandwich so that was positive. And honestly, the sweet potato fries were overcooked and pretty lame too. That being said, my friend got the jalapeño grilled cheese and was very happy. I assume I just got the wrong thing on the wrong day. Everything looked amazing and everyone was happy. I’d still call this place a must. I’ll certainly be back and will try other things.

Khai Hoan is an unpretentious Vietnamese eatery that offers a wide range of traditional dishes, along with a selection of Chinese meals. Popular among college students, this family-operated restaurant is situated in a relaxed dining area that features various cuisines. With quick takeout service and ample indoor seating, Khai Hoan caters to everyone's preferences.
This place was honestly delicious to put it simply. I've tasted a bunch of different pho places over the years and that was easily in the top 5 for me. The broth was so light and flavorful with that deep flavor I look for. Everything on the sampler was standard, but the pho was just that good that. I had to give this place a 5 star. It's a small family owned place which I also love and will make my way back soon!
Sergio B — Google review
I’m in love! After hearing some chatter about Khải Hoàn I made my 40 minute drive to check them out. Word of mouth is important to any business and it was worth every minute. You’ll find them in such an unassuming parking lot. I nearly drove by it and if it wasnt for my map I might just have. The location is small, but the service big! I’ve never met a more friendly group. This family owned business really loves what they do and it shows in the quality and presentation of their food. We couldn’t decide on appetizers so we opted for both crab puffs and egg rolls. For our entree we chose Pho Tom Cua (#10) which is seafood rice noodle with both shrimp and crab meat as well as Pho Tai (#3) Rare Beef Pho. Everything came out fairly quick. Appetizer first. I loved how the egg rolls were presented with the fresh veggies and fish sauce to go with it all. Delicious! I’m not typically a fan of crab puffs, but my daughter wanted to try them so we ordered them. These were quite good. The pho portions were huge, good portions of protein and full of flavor. Additional toppings were fresh and plentiful and jalepeno pretty spicy. Everything you need is at the table from chopsticks, sauces, spoons and more. We were checked on multiple times, drinks refilled and nice conversation. You could tell there were a lot of regulars coming in and it was pretty busy with walk ins our entire meal. Great stop and we can’t wait of come back.,Come to Surprise we need you ha ha ha .

First time visiting this restaurant. Quick service and family owned. We ordered the #2 & #3 pho plates and the grilled pork over rice. The pho broth was flavorful, not too sweet, not too salty perfect rich taste!! The bowels are a good size and very filling. I would recommend this place to visit if you're looking for a new place to try. They do offer takeout too! 😁

I was visiting PHX and I was with cravings of pho, and was definitely a great decision, friendly staff and food was delicious!
Diana C — Google review
The food was good but I waited 20 minutes for a bowl of cold noodles. Customers who came after us had their appetizers and piping hot noodles served before us. When I motioned for the waiter what the hold up was, he shouted across the room. When I mentioned to the woman who served me what the wait was for, she mentioned the egg rolls in my cold noodles took a long time. I guess they took a long time for me because those appetizers others had were egg roils. Lots of excuses but the man waiter with his LA cap on was very rude and said many rude things to me. Mind you, I never raised my voice nor said anything other than he was rude to shout across the room at me. He did apologize and discount my bill but my night was ruined. I just wanted to enjoy good food but I ended up crying with frustration and disappointment.

Social Hall Restaurant + Event Venue in Phoenix offers Latin American cuisine and cocktails in a cozy setting with a game room and spacious patio. The menu features elevated bar food like Mesquite Smoked Wings, Lobster Mac, Tinga Tacos, and Surf & Turf. Guests can enjoy games like pool and classic arcade games while dining on the beautiful patios or inside by the firepit. With multiple indoor and outdoor event spaces, it's an ideal location for hosting gatherings of various sizes.
We love coming to Social Hall when we want something casual but still a little elevated. The atmosphere is so fun — great music, cool decor, and both indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of space to relax or socialize. Their nachos are next-level: cheesy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing (or not 😅). The wine list is surprisingly great for a laid-back bar, and they have tons of cocktails and local beers too if you’re mixing it up. Highly recommend for date nights, friend hangs, or even just treating yourself to a solo snack and sip. 🍷🧀🎉

We used Social Hall to cater our community football watch party and couldn’t have been happier! The food was absolutely delicious—classic game day bites that everyone loved. Hosted my wedding reception here in the rafter room since we eloped a few months ago. Food was great, they made planning easy! The space was beautiful and there was a perfect space for a Photobooth on the outside patio. The projector was great too so we could play our elopement video.

Went for the Taste in Tempe, 3 courses 1 price, no cooking. The burger was good, the chicken sandwich didn’t have much flavor. The server was cool, young and professional! The Caesar salad was underwhelming as well. The drinks were good enough. This place used to be historic, and many will have memories of what it used to be 20 years ago. Seems like a fun place for a date! Or for younger people. I’d probably give it another try.

Such a cool vibe and atmosphere. Not only is their food bomb, but they have fun games to play and places to lounge and hang out. I got the buffalo mac, wings, and nachos. So so good. I also recommend the "Adult Caprisun". Delicious. Also go during happy hour and it isn't as busy!

Visit: April 2024 We are not from this area, but we wanted a place that had good food and drinks. This place did not disappoint. We sat outside, and it's a nice inviting ambiance. Our server was great! She was attentive and sweet. This is a good spot for young adults. There was a ping pong table and billiards to play. We didn't go inside, so I'm not sure how loud it gets in there. We had a great dining experience and would recommend this place if you're visiting the area.

I absolutely love this place! The vibes are great and the staff is super nice. I went for my birthday brunch and they were very accommodating. They asked where we would like to sit and they even gave us time to take our pictures. The food and drinks were so amazing, and the prices were great for the portions. They have something for everyone on the menu, and while still being small enough that everything was consent and delicious. I am definitely coming back and definitely recommend!

Great breakfast sandwich for the right price! Very delicious and filling. The quality of the ingredients really comes forward in it. The lady who helped me at the window was very nice, taking care to make sure a special request for my food was put in, and also offering to leave the balcony seating for me since I came just before close.

$6 for a big breakfast sandwich isn't bad at all. Prices are decent and the food is really good. The only thing that prevents this place from being 5 stars is the service. Not bad in terms of customer interactions, but very slow to get the food out to you. Be prepared to wait for a bit before your food is ready.
Matthew G — Google review
This place is just gross. The arugula salad was old, the chicken was way over cooked. I ordered a tomato and mozzarella salad with chicken (for an extra $3). It came quickly, but without chicken. The host assured it the chicken was in there, it was not. She gave in and gave me 2, 2oz cups of diced chicken. The tomato was old and on its last leg, and the mozzarella cheese was bland and flavorless. You will get a better meal from nearly every eatery in the Tempe area, than this place. 4 stars on atmosphere, on a sunny Tempe day, if you know what I mean.

The woman at the register was fast smiling and a great face for your company. I can’t complain about the quality of the food.. However, one of the two cooks moved at slower than a snails pace. It was actually painful watching him. He was shoving food in his mouth the entire time with the same gloves he never changed after his fingers were literally in his mouth. It was obvious that he had smoked all the weed he had before he came to work. I took a video but was not able to upload it on this forum. If corporate would like to see this video, please let me know. The other cook could have been faster had he been out of the way.

Didn't eat whole day so I asked the cook if she can rush my order. She did!!! And I didn't miss my flight! Really appreciate her service. Ordered the nova burger, for $10 it was just so so. Paddy was too thin. Bread was decent. Thanks again for being so helpful.

I have been here probably 3 times already. I feel like I can always enjoy the food here. This local, super hole in the wall restaurant is amazing. The chef here is great. I think it's the best to come here for happy hour. Great food and I love the lobster Mac and cheese. Love the pork belly appetizer too. Does feel like it always looks different. Like the same name but different ingredients but still taste so good. Will definitely come back again.

Hidden gem in south Tempe! The service was friendly and warm, and the wings were delicious. My wife and I were going home after picking up a car at the shop, and we arrived just before happy hour ended. The bartender was super nice and attentive, the drinks were above board, and the food was hot and fresh. Great vibe, and you would not guess that a place inside a Safeway-anchored strip mall would feel so much like fine dining. Can’t wait to have a sit down meal here!

My husband and I went here for the first time and it was an all-round amazing experience experience!! We got there about an hour before they closed but they never made us feel rushed or anything. Our server Mike was informative and friendly, he saw to our every need. The food was imaginative and delicious! So good that webseriously wanted to come back the next day to try something else! This is relatively new restaurant that started not long before the pandemic and I hope they make through these trying times. All the staff wore masks and they tables were separated a good distance from each other. Eat here and you won't regret it, support local businesses! Live dangerously and order the Chef's Whim! Amazing!!!! We did the happy food dance with every bite. We are foodies, I'll spare you a long read, just go and experience this hidden gem. The owners are incredible and are there to serve you and the food was incredible! Music playlist was amazing! Vibe was excellent. Get the Escargot! It's incredible! The chef is known for his bone marrow. That was so magical. Lamb chops were delicious and the veggies and potatoes had a finish to them like we've never had. The peaches and cream dessert was so light and delicious. Chef's kiss to everything on the menu. Thank you to the owners for bringing us this great food and service!

I came to The Peppermill in Tempe and ordered the lamb chops—absolutely outstanding! Perfectly cooked to a tender, juicy medium-rare with a beautiful sear and just the right amount of seasoning to let the flavor of the lamb shine. The portion was generous, and every bite melted in my mouth. Paired with their sides and a well-crafted cocktail, it made for an unforgettable meal. The intimate, cozy atmosphere and attentive service only made the experience better. If you’re a lamb lover, this dish alone is worth the trip!

Extremely Disappointing Experience for a Group of 17 – Not Recommended We had a company gathering of 17 people at this restaurant, and unfortunately, not a single attendee left with a positive impression; everyone commented that it was not relaxing atmosphere and bad food. Here are the key issues we encountered: 1. Poor Group Accommodation Despite making a reservation in advance, the restaurant was clearly unprepared to handle a group of our size. Only one server was assigned to our entire party. While she did her best, it was simply impossible for her to provide adequate service under those conditions. 2. Steak Orders Were a Disaster Ten of us ordered Rib-eyes, all requested medium-well. None were cooked properly—some were undercooked, others overdone and burnt. One guest received her steak 30 minutes late, and it was nearly raw. She had to box it and take it home uneaten. 3. Poor Food Quality for the Price For a steakhouse charging $50–$100 per entrée, the quality was shockingly poor. Appetizers were decent, but the main dishes were extremely disappointing. Steaks were inconsistently cooked, and plating was not as advertised. For instance, we were told Rib-eyes would be served with mashed potatoes, but what arrived looked like deep-fried potato chunks shaped like hush puppies. 4. Unprofessional and Dishonest Ownership The most troubling aspect was the attitude of the owner. She was rude, unwelcoming, and failed to thank us for our business. I overheard her taking another reservation for 7:30 PM while we were just being seated at 5:00 PM. I had informed her that some of our guests might arrive slightly late, but everyone would be there by 5:30 PM. When I expressed concern about being rushed, she denied having booked a 7:30 reservation, which directly contradicted what I had just heard and what the server confirmed. Her demeanor was tense, defensive, and far from professional. (she tried to tell me the 7:30 reservation was made months ahead without knowing it was already after I her that she just took the reservation) She even told we can somewhere else, like if we can make arrangement at that point for 17 people to go to. It seems almost discrimination toward Asian(?) 5. False Advertising The menu photos on the website and review platforms did not match what was actually served. The dish descriptions were misleading, and expectations based on photos and verbal confirmations were not met. In summary, we spent over $1,500 on what turned out to be a frustrating and unpleasant experience. Between the poor food, underwhelming service, and unprofessional management, we cannot recommend this restaurant—especially not for large groups or special occasions. Additionally: I asked for whisky cocktail with cinnamon, cherry and orange; he put hot paper (all of us took turned and tasted; it was so burning hot, burnt our mouth, who would thought???).

We've always wanted to go there. We finally did. It was a great meal. Good food, good service, in a good atmosphere. We'll be back.

We come here a lot but this was the best experience of all. We had Mike who took really good care of us. His service was spot on. Also making it a special experience was chef Chad. I was planning a special dinner for a big day and it meant a lot to me and my partner. I called and asked if he had a certain item on the menu currently and he didn’t, but he went out of the way to go get some for us and made a an incredible special dinner. Thank you so much, Chad and thank you for always serving amazing food! Always looking forward to the next time we can visit the Peppermill!

Mandi House is a casual Middle Eastern restaurant that offers a variety of comforting Yemeni dishes. The menu features flavorful meat and rice entrees served on large platters, accompanied by garlicky yogurt and a spicy chile sauce for added depth. The unfussy environment and booth seating create a relaxed dining experience.
I only review restaurants when they are either exceptionally good or very bad. I ordered Mandi Lamb, and as a Saudi familiar with Saudi and Yemeni cuisine, I found it delicious. The lamb was tender and well-cooked, and the rice was flavorful (though I’d suggest reducing the cardamom a bit). Service was good, but a slightly faster preparation time would be better. The server was friendly and open to feedback. The atmosphere was vibrant, with a true Yemeni touch and traditional floor seating. Highly recommended—you won’t be disappointed!

Easily some of the best food I’ve had in Phoenix and honestly even compared to Jersey and NYC - authentic, reasonably priced, clean, and very informative server. I really liked the fact you can sit on the floor if you would like to and eat the platter there in a more traditional manner. The dishes have great sauces and there were so many options! I got the slow stewed chicken over rice (started with an h). Not too salty, and also extremely tender.

First of all yummmyyyy. Priced super well. Came out to $20 each including tax, tip, drinks and we had so many leftovers. We took 2 lamb and 1 chicken mandi. I loved both and the rice was very well flavoured. Seating and ambiance was also very nice with floor seating.

We went to try Mandi and had a great experience! The restaurant offers both regular table seating and traditional majlis-style floor seating. We chose the floor seating, which made the meal feel even more authentic and enjoyable. The food was delicious — we ordered two types of Mandi with mixed meat options, and everything was flavorful and well-prepared. Definitely a place worth visiting if you enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine!

3/15/25: Short version - very delicious food, friendly staff, beautiful decor. It did take some time for the food to come out, the interior was clean (but also a bit tight w/ tables & booths), parking lot is not well striped, blind driveway could be disastrous if you're not careful. Longer version - Mandi House has been on my list of places to try for a very long time. This particular Saturday we finally decided to check it out. Parking? Their parking lot is on the east side (west side is the apartment complex). It is a tight driveway, I do not think two cars would fit if one were heading in and another out (especially if one of those cars as an mammoth SUV). It is a very blind driveway coming out. There is a "watch for pedestrians & bikes" sign (that has been graffitied) but we discovered just how low the visibility is (thanks to the building on their east side). Thankfully it was spring break for ASU, because honestly, we had to stick the nose of the car so far out in order to see any kind of traffic (vehicular of foot) that I can see how easy it would be for a collision to occur. Don't let that stop you from trying out Mandi House, just be very careful. The parking lot wasn't the cleanest and I think its overdue for some new striping, but it was fairly large. Food/Drinks? Tasty and hot, cold & bubbly, respectively. Not going to lie, we did almost turn around & leave once walking into the door -- but only because we saw a butt load of buffet bins laid out on multiple tables. We thought "Is this a buffet place?" We kept going in anyway, which is when we saw a few booths full of people, and figured they were just cleaning up the bins, preparing for a buffet at some later date & time. We placed our order (hummus, hannieth meat, mathbi meat (both lamb dishes, one spicy, the other sweet). Unfortunately they were out of all their juices (I wanted mango), so we had to scour the multitude of drinks in their coolers, settling on a couple Freez mixes (pomegranate, lemon & ginger). It did take some time for the hummus to come out, so be patient. The food is worth the wait. The pita came out steaming hot, and we devoured the entire thing. Pita was so dang good we asked for more. Our entree plates came out & we both gasped at how large the plates were. The lamb was fall-off-the-bone delicious. I mean it -- it really fell off the bone. The rice was interesting, in that we saw three colors. It was a very colorful plate of scrumptious food. The Hannieth Meat I got was just this side of spicy; not burn-your-mouth spicy, simply full of flavor. The Mathbi Meat dish my sister got was on the sweet side. Both of us enjoyed the food immensely. We opted to go for dessert: kinafa. It was nothing we had ever tried before, and the gentleman behind the counter (Ral?) was very nice & explained the difference to me -- its description read cheese, but he explained at Mandi House they use a cream. As he was explaining it, I laughed an said "so the cheese isn't a mozzarella or anything?" But apparently, he said some places to actually use that type of cheese, but they wash off the salt. Huh, learn something new every day. Which brings me to ... Staff? Ral was actually the only staff we spoke to, since he not only took our orders but brought the food out as well. We did see a couple other gentleman walking around but one appeared to be focused on bussing the tables and the other seemed to be cleaning up the restaurant in general. Ral was polite & friendly. The kinafa came out hot, and we had another laugh because we had seen the dish in their display case. Both of us thought it was rice. Ral laughed along with us, saying that's what most people think it is. We dug in. It was yummy. It was crunchy (thanks to the shredded phyllo dough), but with a creamy center. It had a touch of sweetness. If you have had baklava, think half of that sweetness. That is how mild the kinafa was. Luckily we were full from the other grub, so we were able to save some for leftovers. Would we visit Mandi House again? Most assuredly.

Ordered through DoorDash. Food was hot and soooo delicious! I ordered the maqluba and was blown away by the flavors and freshness, especially since it was delivery. It was the perfect comfort food that doesn’t make you feel gross and heavy after. More like someone’s grandmother just cooked her famous recipe for you and then wrapped you in a warm blanket and told you that you’re beautiful. Really, it was that good. I will absolutely eat here again during my short trip to Phoenix. Photo could be better since I stopped after several bites to leave a rave review :)

This gem specializes in two distinct regional cuisines: the hearty, offal-rich dishes of Shandong and the bold, spicy flavors of Sichuan. The menu features standout options like Chongqing spicy chicken, which delivers an exhilarating experience with its numbing Sichuan peppercorns.
This is a solid Chinese restaurant. We have been coming here for years. The food is California Chinese restaurant quality, and they have great fried spicy fish as well as chicken dishes. The soups are spot on as well. We have tried the west lake beef soup and the rib and noodle soup. All taste like Chinese home cooking without all the work. This restaurant is also right next to Joe’s Italian ice. It’s a great way to cool off after some great tongue numbing Szechuan spicy cuisine. Try the golden sand corn, the stir-fried string beans, the braised tofu and orange chicken for non spicy dishes. The Szechuan pepper fish and chicken are great spicy dishes and the soups are the perfect complement to everything.

We have been enjoying this amazing restaurant for many years, and drive from central Phoenix because this is the best Szechuan food in town. We love the boiled fish in oil, which is made with Szechuan peppers and has a lot of delicious Chinese vegetables. We also enjoy the Szechuan style spicy fish, which is fried with the Szechuan peppers. The green beans are great, and so are the potatoes. They’re open late too, so if you didn’t have time for dinner before the show, you can come over here after.

Foods is amazing!!!!! Everything is good! Everytime we go there, we never got disappointed!!!!! Service was amazing too! Foods came out so fast! But if u come in the dinner time in the weekend, it’s kinda busy and you might need longer time to wait to have a seat. And i took my friends to go there last week and they all were so satisfied!!!! If you look for the Szechuan foods, YOU MUST GO TO OLD TOWN TASTE!!! Trust me, it’s so good! And the good thing is only 3 mins away from our house 😁 Now i know where to take my family or friends to eat in AZ!

Ordered spicy beef, dry pot ribs, spicy crispy fish and fry noodles. The food generally quite salty. Fish and rib are flavorful. Beef is over cooked, hard to chew, also gamey (not fresh). Stir fried noodle is the worst dish we ordered. Salty no flavor at all.

Such a fun menu. Great friendly service. Love the variety of food and the fact that there are safer dishes for the folks that aren’t as adventurous. We love the cumin lamb and the spicy fish. Scallion pancakes are the best!

I just moved to Arizona this month, and seriously, I'm already back for a second time! They have such delicious, spicy food that hits all the right notes. You absolutely HAVE to try the Mapo Tofu—it's my favorite and a total winner!!!

First impression walking in the food smells great and the restaurant is very clean. Food portions are enormous for the price and taste is on point. Great stop if you’re in the area! For an example of size I’ll include the “small” soup I ordered.

The Hudson Eatery & Bar is a laid-back spot offering a variety of craft beers and delicious homestyle dishes. You can indulge in mouthwatering options like the Pastrami Boom Boom Burger, Carne Asada Philly, or the Sun Devil Hot Chicken Sandwich.
What a cute, little joint! This gem is tucked away in Tempe. The service was great, the food was fabulous and they have a decent selection of appetizers, entrees and beer/alcohol. My party ordered the chicken Philly salad, the steak Philly salad, loaded fries, boneless wings, wine and beer. I tried to get the jalapeño cheese curds, but they were out. I will have to try them next time. The staff were friendly and attentive. They had the NBA semifinals on, so it was a perfect place to eat for us! I highly recommend this quaint eatery!

The best food and great whiskey selections. The carne asada Philly is my favorite and the wings are great too. Plenty of local brews on tap as well.

LOVED it! Went on a little date here and this place was perfect for it. It is a small joint, but the we had no trouble getting a place to sit outside. The wings were crispy and delicious 🤤 also thoroughly enjoyed the jalapeño cheese curds and the patty melt. If you’re a bourbon lover, this is your place! I’ll definitely be making my way back next time I’m in AZ!

River gave phenomenal service and made sure I was satisfied by giving me a replacement drink after receiving a beer I didn't want. He went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied even post purchase. For my first time, I'm impressed by the agility and service 👏

Awesome spot to enjoy maybe one of the best burgers and sandwiches in Arizona. Great whiskey and bourbon selection as well. They also carry The American Whiskey and The American Barrel Strength, which are local to AZ! The people are very service minded and attentive. Highly recommend and have been recommending to several. Looking forward to coming back multiple times!

We stopped in here for lunch after a day of golfing. The burgers, onion rings and home fries did not disappoint. The buns were soft, the meat was fresh and everything was seasoned very well.

So we are new to the area…but This place felt like home. It is casual and friendly. Honestly, Destiny is our bartender and takes great care of us every time we come here! The food is really good. We love the dry rub wings with sauce habanero and fluff all on the side with ranch. The bar has an extensive variety of whiskey. The burgers are smash burger style and delicious. We’ve had the salads and they are good as well. Small and casual with great music (you can control) just come and hangout…you won’t be sorry. We’ve been here a ton…and are loyal customers!

Sala Thai Restaurant Tempe is a casual dining spot with delicious original Thai flavors. The restaurant offers a friendly atmosphere and stays open until 1AM, making it a great late-night option. Dishes like Gai Tod Na Khao and Kho Moo Dang pork skewers are highly recommended for their amazing taste and quality. The food is served fast, hot, and bursting with flavor.
What a pleasant surprise in Phoenix! Didn’t expect such lovely Thai food and excellent service, but here we are. I really enjoyed everything, but I enjoyed the Thai fried rice with shrimp the most. You won’t go wrong here and it’s a really cool vibe for an intimate date night too. **Please follow me on Instagram & TikTok @NickEatzWorld and check out all my reviews and travel recommendations**

Small but beautiful restaurant with a lovely style and amicable staff. It was a bit busy but luckily we were able to get a table and our dishes came quickly after ordering. The food was 10/10- went with some friends and we got the Khao Moo Dang, drunken noodles, pad see ew, and curry noodles, and everything was delicious! I personally got the Khao Moo Dang and the skewers were tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the side sauce had a nice kick. Will definitely be going back again!

Sala Thai is worth the drive and the wait (if there is one). I’ve eaten at tons of Thai places across the Valley and dang does Ming and his team know what they’re doing. The service is attentive, warm, and always friendly. Their small space is beautifully decorated, intimate and welcoming of both small and larger parties. Their food though, WOW. I’ve been here probably 5 times now and it is consistently amazing every single time. Their curries, noodle dishes, skewers and street food are exceptional. Believe the other reviews! Thank you to Ming and his team for serving us time and time again, we love visiting!

I’ve been to Sala Thai a few times now and every visit just confirms why it’s one of my favorite spots. The food is consistently excellent my go-to dishes are the tom yum, their rich curries, drunken noodles, and the crab omelette. Everything always tastes fresh and well-prepared. The staff and owners are incredibly welcoming and kind which makes the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself is tidy and well-kept, so you can really enjoy your meal in a comfortable space. They recently did a fun collaboration for their dessert, and it was a nice touch that showed they put creativity and care into their menu. I’d recommend Sala Thai to anyone, you can’t go wrong at any of their locations. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving great Thai food.

Super cute decor and cozy, but small with limited seating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thai Tea was delicious. Garlic wings had a bit too much bread to offset the chicken and barely tasted chicken. Would have stuck with the skewers and the chili sauce, which was very yummy. Pad Thai was good, but stir fried noodles so had some crunchy areas which I don't love in my noodles.
Bridget L — Google review
We were looking for a Thai restaurant to celebrate my birthday and stumbled upon this spot in Tempe near Broadway. It’s easy to find, and when we walked in, the place looked cute as a button — cozy, limited seating, with couches and chairs that gave it more of a café vibe. While the couches were comfortable, they weren’t the most practical for dining. The ambiance felt fresh and modern, and the menu was surprisingly extensive — covering appetizers, stir-fries, curries, noodles, rice, and specialties. For starters, we tried the chicken satay and shrimp tempura. The chicken satay was delicious — nicely grilled, juicy, and full of flavor. The shrimp tempura, however, was a letdown. It lacked flavor and came off a bit too bland. For mains, we ordered the Khao Soi (curry noodles) and Suki Hang. Presentation was excellent and thoughtfully done. The curry noodles, though, were just okay — the coconut-based curry was overpowering and felt more like sipping straight curry than enjoying a balanced noodle dish. The Suki Hang was good, but overall the food leaned more modern and Americanized than authentic Thai. We ended with mango sticky rice. The mango was fresh and generously portioned, but the sticky rice was average compared to other versions I’ve had. Overall, it’s a nice spot with reasonable prices, but not the most authentic Thai experience. I’d come back for a light bite, maybe a salad, but as a whole it was an average experience.

Thank you Sala Thai for having such an amazing team.

Nestled at the bustling intersection of McClintock Drive and Warner Road, Bar Capri has quickly become a must-visit spot since its opening in March. This charming little eatery fills up rapidly, so making reservations is a smart move. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and unique, creating an inviting atmosphere for diners. The menu may still be evolving, but every dish served is a delightful experience.
As a frequenter of Freely, I was ecstatic to see this new venture. The vibe is just right and the food is AMAZING. While the menu is still being added to, so a bit limited, everything was delicious. From the noble bread with assorted butter choices, to the beautiful drinks, this is going to be another big win for the owners. We had Nonna's Lasagna and ravioli. Both dishes we perfectly flavored, the baked edges of the lasagna may be my favorite. Don't forget to try the specialty crafted cocktails too! Very excited for another local place to visit in the neighborhood and will be back for sure.
Bridget L — Google review
The food is a 4/5 and the atmosphere is a 5/5 for a small space. The bread appetizer comes with lots of slices and a hearty portion of butter to choose from. Being 100% honest my wife and I were not massive fans of any of the butters. Having a plain whipped butter would have been nice. The tomato butter was too overpowering and the tomato flavor was too pronounced, the truffle butter leaned a little too heavy on the truffle front leading to an awkward flavor balance, and the lemon butter was my personal favorite but it could possibly be better with a stronger lemon flavor. The Brutus salad was a very large portion for a very fair price. The cheese chunks were a little too large and would be better if smaller or more chopper up. My wife wanted to replace the mustard vinaigrette with the apple vinaigrette and I actually think it paired better with the apples (we tried a side of the mustard vinaigrette). The steak and fries were a solid portion for the price. I ordered the steak medium rare but the steak came out closer to well done or medium-welldone. Hopefully it was just a slight error. I think the fries were a very unique shape (very square and large) but we're a little over salted. All in all I would consider going back. My wife and I both don't drink so we only care for food. I want to give extensive feedback in hopes it helps the bar.

Easily a 10 out of 10. I found every aspect of dining here thoroughly enjoyable and can't wait to come back. The staff was super friendly and the ambience is very cozy. We grabbed drinks at the bar once before but this was the first time getting food and it was all fantastic. Started with a few appetizers. The calamari had this great Calabria chili dipping sauce I could've drank and the bone marrow came with a chimichurri I was dipping bread in to make sure no went to waste. The gnocchi bolognese was the main course and it comes family style. Very delicious. Moved on to dessert and was pleasantly surprised by the dessert cocktail options. We tried the Mint Condition and I can't remember the other one but it was limoncello and pistachio liquor and I loved it. The ricotta cake was so good I didn't want to share. 😀

Ate here with my family and it was super delicious. The interior is neat, unique, and very cozy. It’s a small place. Drinks were fun, but most of their beers they say are on draft actually aren’t for some reason. Food was tasty and savory! Ordered the meatballs as an appetizer, the lamb flatbread, and ricotta cake for dessert. I honestly did not expect the flatbread to be as delicious as it was! Probably the best I’ve had in a while. Try the ricotta cake, it sounds weird but it’s soooo worth it! All in all, I would def come back here! Nice place if you’re ever in the neighborhood but it is a little pricey.

Oh mio dio! I have often joked with friends and family that I must have been Italian in one of my past lives because the amount of noodles I can pack away is staggering. Cream sauce, marinara, pesto, a classic cacio e pepe... It doesn't matter. Put noodz in front of me and watch me blush coyingly before devouring it. It's been a while since I've been excited about a new place but this place had me all a-flutter. I had a Lost In Tokyo, Fritto Misto, Polpette, and the Lamb Flatbread. Here's the breakdown: Lost In Tokyo ($16 - lemon washed japanese gin, plum sake, yuzu, egg white, cream, citrus): Any time an egg white foam is included on a drink, expect to wait. Such a delightful drink. Cheers, Yelpers. Fritto Misto ($16 - fried calamari, shrimp, capers, olives, fried lemon, romesco sauce, calabrian aioli): The fried lemon had me looking like the heart-eyes emoji. And can we talk about the lemony marinara that they serve on the side? It's so perfect in flavor that no fresh lemon was in sight. I love how confident they are about how you will love this fritto misto. Absolutely one of the best fried calamari dishes I've had. Give me the salty little bites of caperes and olives. YUM. Polpette ($12 - pork & beef meatballs, marinara, straticella cheese, basil, parmesan): Okay, I got to be real, these balls are FIRM. Like, you could use them as stress balls. I know not everybody is a fan of poaching meatballs in sauce to get them more tender but I think that would help. Just my opinion! Lamb Flatbread ($15): I felt like I stole Lamb Chop from Shari Lewis (RIP, queen) and gave that cute lamb a big ol' lick. It's a very gamey lamb and while staggering, it's not off-putting if you like lamb. I will say, ONLY get it if you like lamb. As for the flatbread they used, wow. Love it. I know they serve Noble bread here and I'm curious if the flatbread is Noble too because wow! Love that flatbread! Salted Caramel Gelato ($8): Mama mia! What a way to cap off a meal. It's savory-sweet and oh so decadent. It's quite delicious. I want to come back ASAP and try the Cacio Pepe Flatbread and Carbonara Flatbread. This is a cozier spot so expect having to scream at your dining companions. I recommend getting a reservation to come here as well.

Results may vary. My friend and I had a very mixed experience here, but other tables near us seemed to have a fine time. Somehow they managed to burn every single piece of toast. They were nice enough to take it off the bill, but it still felt weird that they bothered to bring it to the table at all. The flatbread was underproved and undercooked and burnt all at once. While the pesto pasta was heavy on the garlic. So if you're going to fight vampires in the evening highly recommend. Can say that the blood orange spritz was good.

Had been hearing lots of good things about this new place and decided on very short notice to check it out. So glad we did. Small place with a friendly vibe and very nicely appointed. Immediate comfort kicked in. Service was excellent. Food was also excellent. Enjoyed flat iron steak and my beautiful bride the Fusilli. Both were just right as well as the Caesar salad and fried Calamari. Added a bottle of Hatcher wine, finished with gelato and left VERY satisfied. Will definitely be part of the word of mouth group, and very definitely returning soon!

The atmosphere and vibe here are great, but I don’t recommend for vegetarians. I really wish there was a vegetarian friendly pasta option, but they all have meat in them unfortunately. I honestly probably won’t return unless they add a vegetarian pasta option since there are other really great Italian restaurants in south Tempe with more inclusive options. I know they have the cauliflower steak, but it doesn’t qualify for the $35 pasta & wine deal (I was told by whoever runs their Instagram account that it does qualify but then when I got there my server said it actually has to be a pasta dish…so vegetarians are disqualified from this deal unfortunately). Plus, that’s honestly kind of a lackluster vegetarian option. I obviously love vegetables but I don’t want to go to an Italian restaurant and my only option that I can eat is literally just a head of grilled cauliflower with sauce for $16.

Takeout Restaurant
Little Miss BBQ-University is a retro-style eatery located on an industrial stretch of University Drive, offering top-notch Central Texas–style BBQ cooked with Arizona oak and pecan wood. Despite its off-the-beaten-path location, it has gained popularity for its excellent smoked meats, including beef brisket, ribs, turkey, pulled pork, and sausage. The long lines are part of the experience at this barbecue destination.
I recently visited Little Miss BBQ, and wow, what a treat! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The bun was soft and complemented the pulled pork so well. I especially loved the variety of BBQ sauces they offered – each one brought a unique twist and really elevated the dish. You can tell they take pride in their craft. They're always cooking up something tasty, and the aroma fills the air as soon as you walk in. Quick, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere make this place a must-visit for any BBQ lover. Highly recommend it!

Fantastic BBQ! Was searching for a place I could bring my father in law to that served ribs and chances upon this place. We enjoyed it immensely! The beef ribs and the pulled pork were excellent! Have to add that the Sausage was also great. My father in law remarked, "can we come back here again before we leave?" And he's hard to please 😅 we enjoyed the pecan pie as well. Shout out to the friendly staff! We felt very welcome

Visit Date: 11/20/25 After hearing and reading so many great things about Little Miss BBQ, I decided to take the drive out with some of my friends to finally give it a try - and we certainly weren’t disappointed! Although pricy, the quality of the meat expertise of the pit masters were apparent. I ordered the two meat plate with brisket, pork ribs, beans, grits and also added a sausage. Although I’m not normally a fan of beans or grits, both of these sides were excellent and flavorful - honestly making me rethink my opinions on both! The ribs were tender, but not overly tender which sometimes happens when they’re overcooked. The brisket was extremely tender and well seasoned - and paired excellently with their house bbq sauce. The sausage was delicious albeit slightly dry, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The service here was superb. Although ordering at a small counter, the employees were extremely kind and helpful with an amazing attitude… which is not something you always see at restaurants. It definitely gave us a great first impression which was then drilled in with the quality of the good. One other thing I’d like to note was display of smokers that they had out front - very impressive and it made the whole seating area smell so good! Overall, I would definitely recommend this BBQ joint if you’re looking to splurge for something authentic and delicious! My friends and I will definitely be back.

I wanted to give 5 starts but just not quite perfect! The brisket is legit the most tender and juicy brisket on the planet! Good seasoning too. Ribs melted and I mean melted off the bone! Sausage was legit. LOVED the bbq sauce and sweet mustard! Staff was SO NICE!! No, we didn't have to wait in line because we went an hour ahead of time just in case haha and we were first! The only negatives to me is the price, portions for the price and the sides were just ok. I get the quality of the meat is amazing so that is why it's expensive but then ya need to give me the same energy with those sides and LOAD them up! My hubby loved the beans and I thought they were ok.., I needed sweetness but that's just a personal opinion. Coleslaw was decent but could have had more flavor and the potato salad I thought was good! Just really small side portions for the price. All in all so worth it for the meat!

We have been wanting to try their Beef Ribs multiple times, but they either ran out or closed. Seriously, just like what the other reviewers had pointed out. We finally made it there early enough to secure some beef ribs this time. Line was long and partial shade was provided. We got to sample the house made sausages while we were waiting in line. The sausage was really tasty except that it was way too salty, IMO. We finally got inside and and order 1 rib, about 1 1/4 lbs. then someone in front of us ordered the pork belly, it looked so good so we couldn’t resist and order some too. Beef Ribs: delicious, fall off the bone tender. I don’t think I have ever such tender and flavorful beef ribs, ever. Pork Belly- it was really yummy except a little dry for me, and a little too salty. On the pricy side. $37/lb. Sides: Beans- way too salty Grits- way too salty Banana Pudding- too sweet for me I would go back for the Beef Ribs anytime. The only thing this can really improve is the logistics of where the igloo water. If you need ice water when dining in, you got to get out of the buildings and head over to the lines and get water. 1 cup max because you will need to use the other hand to open the door to get back in.

I was fortunate to show up on a Thursday which is when pastrami is featured. And I love pastrami. The staff could not have been friendlier and kind. We had a brief wait outside but it was shaded and we were eventually welcomed inside to the cool air conditioning to order our food. Seeding is limited on the inside so we had to sit outside. I went with the pastrami sandwich and it was delicious. I will share, If I am going to pay over $20 for a sandwich then a healthier bread option should be available. 4 stars.

Absolutely delicious! We had such a wonderful evening last night at Virtù in Scottsdale visiting with friends. Our dinner at Virtù Honest Craft started with a small mix-up — the wrong dish was brought out on my wife’s birthday. The staff immediately owned it, apologized sincerely, and went above and beyond by comping both plates. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a cozy, romantic atmosphere that feels special the moment you walk in. We ordered the crudo, asparagi, anatra, and manzo — every dish was incredible, full of layered flavors and beautifully presented. Despite the initial hiccup, we left impressed and grateful for the way they turned things around.

Service was fantastic, food was very fresh and delicious, the octopus and steak were the best, couldn't quite figure out the flavor for the scallops. The cocktails were also fantastic. Great ambiance in a nice little tucked in square.

The asparagus dish is what put the chef on the map they told me and I highly recommend it because it was absolutely over the top delicious. Pork chops were perfectly cooked, the fish was clean and super crispy. And both the sticky coffee pudding and the butterscotch pudding are things I'll remember forever. Beautiful setting and great service. Photos will not do this restaurant justice, you just need to come here and at least try the asparagus and two desserts. Also dog friendly!

Virtu is typically a special occasion spot for my wife and I. The drinks are amazing, the food is immaculate, and other restaurants can learn a thing or two about service from these guys. The ribeye is always delicious and typically a staple when we do go. The octopus and bufala were also hits when we go. I will say this, my wife was sad to see the ice queen had been taken off the drink menu, but our bartender actually whipped it up for her! That was a really cool move on her part, but I'd recommend putting it back in rotation! Who would have thought black pepper in a cocktail would be so good?!

Such a cute place. When they say their portions are big... they’re not lying. I can never finish my plate! They have so many options on their menu so it takes a solid minute for you to pick what to order. I do love their pastries and bagels. The service is great and the people working are always tentative and nice.

I'm in and out of town several times a year visiting family who lives here. I can't come to town without stopping at Chompies, even if it's a short visit. I 'm a vegetarian and appreciate the variety of options for me to eat here. I love the omelet meals because it's really 2 meals in one. I can't imagine anyone finishing it all in one sitting! The bagels are amazing and the selection of bakery items will leave you dizzy trying to decide which one you want. Nothing is bad here. Portions are generous and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is always awesome. Be sure to sign up for their rewards program and earn points for $5 off. Points add up pretty fast too!

I do like their food. The corned beef is so amazing. I recommend it serious. The breakfast was great as far as pancakes went but those eggs and turkey sausage need to be of better quality. Smoked white fish sandwich it was very good. I liked the potato cakes as well.

Love eating here!! There is so much to choose from & they have gluten free options!! My favorite is the potato cakes!! There gluten free!!😁 My friend had the matzo ball soup! I came here on a recommendation from my friend. Very easy accessible location. In addition, ample parking was present. Inside, it was very clean. The server we had was very friendly. Food was very hot and full of flavor. I had the pierogis as my meal (normally an appetizer). I was very happy with this experience and plan to be back next time to try out the breakfast food.

FnB Restaurant, located in downtown Scottsdale's Craftsman Court, is a renowned gastropub offering a farm-to-table dining experience. Helmed by James Beard Award-winning chef Charleen Badman, the restaurant prides itself on sourcing fresh local ingredients from Arizona farms. The menu features an array of New American dishes with global influences, such as Thai-style stuffed pork cabbage rolls and Mexican pink grouper with summer squash.
Excellent dinner with front of house staff that truly care about guests’ experience, and chefs that execute on the great vision of the menu. I had Brussels cooked until velvety tender that soaked up a creamy coconut curry sauce, topped with crunchy onions. Then had a lamb dumpling dish with tons of savory, spiced lamb flavor brightened and rounded out with fresh mint and cilantro, pomegranate and yogurt. Had very yummy labneh and berry ice cream they source from a local shop. Also had the bottled phony negroni, which was not as amazing as the food, but not bad. Highly recommend this restaurant for a good dining experience and enjoying food you can taste people care about making.

Lovely spot in Scottsdale. Tucked away in a little courtyard, I sat on the patio and enjoyed the asparagus with tzatziki and the lamb dumplings. Both were light, perfectly balanced - in fact, just perfect. I finished off with their butterscotch pudding which is apparently a permanent fixture on the menu. They also have great local wines, and the service was quick and attentive. This is great food and wine, so in my view it’s reasonably priced. Thanks for a lovely evening, FnB. 😊✨

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful and well worth the visit! We booked a reservation (which requires a deposit) but our flight was delayed. We called and they were so kind and accommodating for us. We were very glad we were able to make it work because the food and service was phenomenal. We ordered the green salad, potato buns with duck fat, and pork chops with seasonal squash. Every bite was full of flavor and the pork chop was the most tender pork chop I’ve ever had. This restaurant is a must stop for your next Scottsdale visit!

FnB is truly amazing, it deserves to be Michelin rated. The food is so creative and made with such high quality, consistently across all dishes. The vegetable-forward cuisine is completely unique, with incredible blends of flavors that pull from different influences but clearly have a very distinctive style of Chef Charleen Badman. The care to balance flavor, visual, and texture is honestly second to none, and we eat out a lot! It is artistry, and the intimate but easy ambience has made every visit a memorable experience. The entire staff is engaging and very competent, this restaurant hits on all cylinders.

Food is surprisingly nice. Especially like the source for the carrot which blended very well with the nuts. Egg plant and Okra are also tasting great. Okra matched very well with curry. It is because Pork has been sold out tonight, it has been changed to steak. Wao, the steak was amazing. Appreciated alot the vegetable portion in each dish. This restaurant really serves good food!

First meal in Phoenix, just astonishing. Local crops mix with new flavours, the taste is so new and amazing. We 3 ordered 4dishes of veggies, 3dishes of meat, and 2 dessert, I chose to not recommend any dish solely, cuz the menu are changing monthly. All I can say all 9 of my order are truly amazing. Even better than some of the Michelin 3stars’ Issac keep checking on us, making sure the flow won’t be too fast, Washroom are clean, paper handkerchief in good quality, shampoo is aromatic P.S. the ginger beer(non-alcoholic) is just so good, as a ginger beer guy, this is the best ginger beer iml

Cant believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. Absolutely phenomenal. If you're in town you have to go! I can't say enough great things. Veggie forward menu with some meat options as well. I promise you've never had vegetables prepared this well. The staff is great, HEY MILES, and people seem to like working here which you don't always see. The menu changes often so I won't comment on what we had but every time we come to town we visit and it has all been delicious. Easily the best restaurant in town and one of my favorites in the whole country! Go now, stop reading and treat yourself!

The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Tempe is a stylish yet casual chain restaurant known for its classic steak and seafood dishes. Originally from Canada, it offers a special Thanksgiving meal featuring a three-course turkey dinner at an affordable price. The upscale yet cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for any special occasion, with great service and accommodations for gluten-free diners. Customers praise the fairly priced menu items, especially the steak and shrimp dish with fresh asparagus.
Visited the place through reservations with 3 colleagues. We are in the town for Home Lending Advisor training with JP Morgan Chase. After having the Caesar salad as an appetizer, I had a 22 oz Ribeye steak with twice baked potato & seasonal vegetables. The steak was grilled as medium well & it was perfect. Excellent place for steak dinner. Next time I am in the town, will certainly visit this awesome restaurant. Our server provided excellent service. Great food & atmosphere. Didn’t have room for any desserts.

My hubby brought me here for a late night dinner, it was a nice atmosphere and the workers were so friendly and welcoming. Our server Ethan was amazing and was kind enough to go over the menu and had good insight on what to recommend. The food was delicious and the bacon wrapped scallops were a first time for me and definitely did not disappoint.

The Keg was a great restaurant to celebrate a special event! My wife & I went to ‘The Keg’ to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The reason why chose this restaurant was actually due to seeing it on ads while watching NHL games that take place in Canada. We always joked about it & we decided to take the next step to try it out after years of seeing it. If anything, we were surprised to see a location in Arizona. When we arrived, we were greeted by their staff. They congratulated us on our wedding anniversary, which was nice of them to do. I recommend having a reservation as there can be a wait. We waited about 5-7 minutes with a reservation. The groups who arrived without a reservation waited much longer. When we were seated, we were asked if we were celebrating any special occasion. The funny thing was that we were asked that same question by 3 other staff members over the night. We could tell that this is the type of restaurant that many go to for a special occasion. Our server, Noah, was great. He was attentive & helped us guide through the menu. It happened to be ‘Arizona Restaurant Week’ when we dined in, so we decided to take up their offer on the 3 course meal. We both got Caesar salads to start & they were delicious. The fresh bread that was brought to the table was incredible. I could have eaten 2 more loafs myself. The whipped butter paired well. I decided to try the blueberry lemonade. It was refreshing, but it is a bit sweet. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a tart drink. The main entire that I ordered was the prime rib with a twice baked potato. The twice baked potato was tasty & paired well with the prime rib. I thought my prime rib was excellent. I ordered it medium rare & it was spot on. My wife ordered a sirloin with blue cheese & roasted vegetables. She enjoyed her meal as well. The only thing I would say is that the actual plating of the meal was a bit messy. It was all over the place & for the price of the meal, it looks sloppy. I personally do not mind as long as the flavor is there, but I know many would be upset over that. We both had desserts & I personally loved the sauce on the cheesecake. We thought ‘Billy Miner Pie’ was the star of the desserts. The fireside old fashioned was good. It’s really sweet, but that’s to be expected. We learned that if you go there for an anniversary, they’ll provide you with a free toast of champagne. This was a great perk. The champagne was solid. We really appreciated that. Overall, we really enjoyed ‘The Keg’. It was about $75 per person, but we thought it was worth the price for a special occasion. The staff were great & welcoming. We recommend stopping in if you are looking to celebrate a special occasion.

Had dinner here for our anniversary and we loved this place. Food was amazing and customer service was great. The atmosphere was very nice, romantic, and cozy. We had delicious warm bread and butter while we waited for our orders, such as the Salad, Lobster tail meal and steak. They also gave us a huge slice of delicious Oreo/caramel ice cream cake for free and $10 off our check which was very very nice of them. Truly appreciated! They definitely get a 10/10 for their service. We highly recommend this restaurant for your special occasions.

My boyfriend is from Canada. When we walked in here for dinner he goes “this smells like home”. We love this place because it is more fancy than an Outback but not as fancy as a super fancy steakhouse. Everything was cooked to perfection.

Just OK. I don’t know why we go here anymore. Even on our free entree Bday dinners. Our salads were good but the entrees arrived 2 min after the salads. Poor timing. Two of us ordered the sirloins. Mine was the seasonal special blue cheese butter sirloin. I had to spit out every 3rd bite from tendon/gristle? I had a pile of little pulverized bits on the side of my plate when finished along with 2 larger cuts that I didn’t even try to eat. The veg medley is always the same it seems but ok. For some reason the keg now uses small water glasses, maybe 6oz. We had to continuously ask for water refills. We talked after the meal and when grilling at home we would ever buy sirloin. We thought maybe the keg might have better beef so it would be fine…. we were wrong. One of us did order the NY strip and it was well prepared. It made our order even more disappointing. So when you come here don’t order the inferior meat cuts or save your money and grill at home. Even if you have the Bday bogo free. I would recommend coming for the happy hour menu on meals. The server did ask at the start if there were any allergies. Very polite staff.

Kabuki Japanese Restaurant is a renowned spot in Tempe, offering a diverse menu of traditional Japanese dishes such as sushi, sashimi, and tempura. The restaurant also features innovative sushi rolls like the Garlic Asparagus Salmon Roll and the signature Kabuki Roll. With stylish decor and an extensive menu including small plates, noodles, salads, and lunch specials, this restaurant provides a welcoming atmosphere for guests to enjoy their dining experience.
This place was excellent in every respect, from the food to the amiable service. We experienced two new appetizer offerings on the menu; scallops and cod. Both were fantastic. The classic dinner plate for two consisted in a plentiful array of items, all to my liking. The pork belly appetizer and the miso soup were also delightful. The restaurant was full of people on a Saturday night and in light of the high quality it's a wonder there wasn't a line to the street.

Okay, I'm just going to say this. This Kabuki and this location happens to be one of my favorite sushi locations in the entire world LOL. I don't know what it is, I don't know how that is possible but it just is. Their Alaskan salmon roll is absolutely gorgeous. I order that and only that from the specific location. I don't know what it is but this location constantly delivers good quality and succulent sushi. My partner had a shrimp tempura roll which was also spectacular. The service was pretty good as well and the atmosphere reminds me of my old college undergrad days. A very true gem close to my heart and I have always loved him from the day they opened.

Pretty authentic food for AZ. I got the tempura soba, but -1 star because there was only one shrimp in the tempura, and there was just too little tempura items. The soup was good but the noodles aren’t true soba noodles, it was some sort of yellow noodle. The wait staff were also obviously too busy/working too many tables.
Dawn L — Google review
"Kabuki" is a form of Japanese theater known for elaborate makeup and costume for high drama. It is very appropriate, then, that this restaurant is also dramatically deceptive -- bear with me! As you walk in you'll find an elegant dining experience with high ceilings and breathtaking decorations. So you think "I'm going to spend a lot of money on not much food here! Is there a dress code?!" But in reality, the Kabuki food is very reasonably priced. The menu items promise and deliver elevated cuisine. The atmosphere is come-as-you-are informality. This reviewer enjoys ordering from the "small plates" section because you can find a variety of tastes to sample different things. Two of those small plates could constitute a meal for you. If you've been to a Spanish-style tapas bar, you'll know! Last night, this reviewer met the hostess -- her name begins with "Br..." to complement her braided hair -- and was promptly seated; no wait on a Monday evening. Sarah was the server, and in our experience, with every visit, the servers are friendly, helpful and efficient! This was no exception and soon the drinks were served. This reviewer greatly enjoyed the premium mint lemonade because Tempe is hot in Mid-November! Fried Gyoza and Seaweed Salad rounded out the meal, and there was enough left over to go. There was plenty of seating for you that night; these Tempe Marketplace eateries have immense capacity for crowds. We always enjoy visiting the restroom here too, because they're a little bit darker, matching elegance of the dining area, clean and maintained. Good accessible stalls for your wheelchair or disabilities. This reviewer doesn't often have favorites, but Kabuki has won our heart as the best place for a refresh-recharge while practicing "retail therapy" at the mall! Thank you all! Konnichiwa and domo arigato!

The atmosphere is casual and the service is great, making for an enjoyable dining experience.
I am very impressed with this establishment. There was one waitress who did a terrific job. She greeted the customers upon entering the diner. This was on September 20th around 2pm. She was the only the only waitress during that time not sure why there was no one to assist her with the order, but Kuddos to a job well done. Hopefully she will be there when we visit again... The reason I put one star because there is no negative star. I was loyal customer and I ordered 3lbs of shrimp yesterday as carry out, I want show my friend who came out of the town to visiting me that this is my favorite food. I guess they finally found someone to get rid off their garbage shrimp. All the shrimps have black stain on it and it tasted totally mushy.I show up in the store next day with those pictures and ask for re-fund. Store said unless I come home and bring those grease stuff back, i am on my own, no apologies at all. I live 45 mins away and this is ridiculous. For people who is going to order carry out, CHECK THE FOOD when they bring it to you, or just don’t go this place unless you like mushy black stain shrimp

I order take out today. The craw fish was good but the shrimps were disgusting. They had black stains and were very mushy. Due to the shrimps being mushy they were very hard to eat. The shrimp was very unpleasant so we only had a few and threw the rest away.

My first time there and I must say I was disappointed. Slooow service. The shrimp was not easy to peel. They don't bring all the food at once. Very simple and plain menu. Not a lot of options. Angry crab is better. Oh and the bathrooms were disgusting!

Only complaint is our waitress didn't seem to really wanna wait on anyone and almost seemed annoyed when asked for anything but the other waiter was awesome wish we would have had him. I enjoy having friendly people to interact with :)
Melissa W — Google review
I always went here from 2018-2023, but something has been going on where the food quality is not the same. With seafood boils rising in popularity, hot n juicy is not keeping up with the competition. Shrimps are not deveined, there’s barely any sauce and nothing is included in your order (unless you order 2lbs of something, which even then is 1 potato and 1 corn). Whatever, I paid for two potatoes and I got the smallest potatoes ever that were finished with one bite. Not worth $1.50 each. Corn was small, also not worth the price. And sausage was 6 which was too little for the price they’re at. The taste was alright, not the worst but definitely nothing special. It should not cost $38 for 1lb of shrimp, 2 potatoes, 1 corn, 1 egg and 6 slices of sausage. Very disappointed. I will stop eating here and go to literally any other seafood restaurant like Pier 88 that is not nickel and diming me for everything.

Cheesesteak restaurant
Forefathers Cheesesteaks is a counter-serve eatery that offers a variety of toppings to accompany their tasty cheesesteaks. This industrial-style establishment provides customers with a simple menu consisting of chicken or steak options, although the latter is the more popular choice. Patrons can customize their sandwich by selecting from various cheeses like cheez whiz, white American, provolone, or mozzarella and adding grilled mushrooms, peppers, and onions.
Service was great. I liked the build your own option. I got a Mini with steak, mozzarella, ALL the veggies listed, and jalapeno cilantro ranch. My husband got the Regular steak, provolone, ALL the veggies listed and cheese wiz sauce. We shared the seasoned fries with the fry dipping sauce. I usually snap photos of our food, but we went in hungry and accidentally devoured everything. Both our sandwiches tasted Amazing! The sauce made a huge difference between both our meals. Both great flavors but completely different taste because of the added sauce. The thin steak was well seasoned, the veggies were mixed in well (were other places might throw them in and make it sloppy) this place filled in the sandwich perfectly. The sandwich was rolled into a foil where it allowed all the flavors to marinate together and slightly steam the bread, but still keep it's bold flavor and texture. Will definitely keep coming back! 2nd visit decided to upload pictures this time. SERVICE was still GREAT, food still amazing! This time we got sweet potato fries 10/1] and half buffalo chicken salad (solid).

After getting a suggestion on Reddit we tried this place and we were very glad we did. The cheesesteak sub was amazing. After moving here from the Northeast I have been in search for a good place to get a steak-n-cheese sub and finally found it. I’ll never understand why nobody out here wants pickles on their subs, but besides that the sub was amazing as well as their fries and chicken tenders. Thanks! Will be back for sure!!!!!

Third time trying this place. First time at this location. Every steak sandwich at both locations, no matter the cheese or add ons, has this weird how a wet dish towel smells flavor. Staff is consistently flippant and too caught up in their own conversations to do anything other than yell out an order number. The fries are good.

Great cheesesteak, the steak was tender as opposed to chewy. I really enjoyed the bread, great texture and it tasted fresh, which I loved. Diners can indulge in gyoza dumplings, chile-garlic edamame, and even adventurous cheesy fried spam katsu mini-sandwiches.
Stopped here after shopping at fashion square to grab a bite to eat. Extremely impressed with the quality of sushi, quick service, and ramen. We came at 5 pm on a Friday. I tried the spicy ramen, lollipop roll, and spicy salmon roll. The lollipop roll was so yummy, would definitely order again. Ramen comes in a metal bowl so it stays hot the entire time. Everything was delicious and i will definitely come back!

This is probably the worst Japanese food I’ve ever had. The sashimi wasn’t fresh, lacking the firm texture and rich flavor I expected. The miso soup tasted like something out of a cup noodle packet, watered down and lacking depth. The sake bomb was certainly an experience, but not in a good way—the flavors just didn’t blend well. That said, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive and friendly, which made the overall experience more pleasant. Despite the disappointing food, I still left a tip to appreciate their great service.

Zu Izakaya in Tempe is a mixed bag - great food, good vibes, but a not-so-great surprise: the infamous "Large Party Tax". I mean, 20% extra on a table of 4+? That's like telling friends not to come with you 😐. The Fried Sushi was a highlight (crispy, perfection!) with crab and jalapeños, and the egg roll was deliciously flaky. Chicken Karage was so good that we ended up ordering twice. Tofu was great as well. However, the veggie gyoza was a letdown - dry and oily. Server was knowledgeable and friendly, but that tax still stings 🤑. Ambiance was lively. Overall, 3/5 stars - good food, but that tax is a major drawback. Would I go back? Yeah, for the Fried Sushi 🤤.

My husband and I had a date night here and it was incredible! We ordered two apps - cheesy spam katsu, and vegetable tempura. The spam dish was delicious and the dipping sauce with it was perfect. I told my husband that the next time I drink, I will be craving that! The vegetable tempura was perfectly crispy as well. Then we got the grilled eel and gyoza hotpot. The hotpot is MASSIVE! I asked for some chili oil and the server also brought me some spicy powder which made the hotpot even better. The eel was well prepared, too! All that and two sodas under $80 seemed like a great deal to us. We cannot wait to return!

The food is consistently outstanding, creative, and packed with flavor. The cocktails are just as impressive. Beautifully crafted and always perfectly balanced. But what truly makes Vecina stand out is the service. The team here makes you feel like a VIP every time you walk through the door. Attentive without being overbearing, warm without being forced… they truly care about their guests. It’s rare to find a spot where everything clicks. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service but Vecina nails it every single time. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

This restaurant was one of the most impressive I’ve been to in AZ. The chef elevates flavor on a level I’ve rarely experienced. The drinks were fantastic. The papas verdes was excellent. I didn’t know potatoes could be made to taste that good. The karaage (a Japanese style of fried chicken) was fantastic and I preferred the flavor to what I’ve eaten in Japan! The salmon tacos were delectable. I was so impressed with the drinks, apps, and main that I ordered the banana bread dessert and I don’t like banana bread! The dessert with the peanut butter mousse was fantastic. Will definitely add this to our favorite places.

Finally made it to Vecina and wow, the food did not disappoint. I had the Happy Hour Margarita and the Skirt Steak Tacos, both were absolute standouts. The margarita was crisp and refreshing, and the tacos? Chef’s kiss. Perfectly seasoned steak, bold flavors, and a beautiful presentation that made it feel like more than just happy hour bites. The atmosphere was stylish but relaxed, and the service kept pace with the vibe, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Only reason it’s not a full five stars? Just saving that for my next visit when I dive deeper into the menu. If the rest is anything like those tacos, I’ll be upgrading soon.

Overall, the food was pretty good. The empanada was just okay, but the other dishes were quite flavorful and interesting. The short ribs in the white bean puree was particularly noteworthy (the puree was basically hummus, but the meat was delicious). The spicy margarita was mediocre - too much straight up SWEET which overshadowed the subtleties of the other flavors. They have some interesting and unusual red wines which we really liked. The chairs are not particularly comfortable, and our waitress (shoulder length blonde hair) was unsettlingly bubbly. Not in a "wow she sure is cheerful" sorta way, but like "wow, this is a complete charade, she's not actually attempting to connect with me, and I wonder what her actual speaking voice sounds like" sorta way. A very disconcerting social interaction.

This restaurant blew me away; the food here was exceptionally cooked, with quality ingredients. I ordered the limited edition chefs tasting course, and the food was exquisite! You can tell the chef/cook cares about flavor profiles, and incorporates different notes for a well balanced plate. The photos don’t do it justice!! The only thing I’d improve is the seating… felt like casual seating with a high price tag.
Aryn M — Google review
Just order everything and share. White bean puree - yes! Salsa Trio - Absolutely, the habanero is delicious. Karaage - YUM! Papas Verde - please! Haramasa Ceviche - when done, pick up the dish and drink the Leche de Tigre. Ask for the Gluten Free menu is you need it!

My partner and I overall had a fantastic experience at Vecina! I would suggest sticking with their tacos in terms of entrees. We have tried all their taco dishes which are fantastic. This time we tried the harissa collar which we did not like and felt was bland. The dessert (banana bread with peanut butter ice cream) is a CAN’T miss! Also great wine and cocktail selection!

It is honestly a toss up of what we enjoyed more…the delicious/creative food or our experience with Blake and friends. From the moment we arrived and were welcomed at the bar (by Blake’s roommate no less!) and introduced to the food experience, it was a delight! Blake made great suggestions off the menu and paced the shared plates at a leisurely pace so that we could relax and thoroughly enjoy the delicious flavors! Certainly the fried banana bread and peanut butter mousse is not to be skipped! Thank you for a fabulous night…until next time!! ❤️

Singh Meadows is a renowned market and cafe in Tempe, offering locally sourced produce, light eats, and a variety of items made by local artisans. Established in 2000 with a focus on promoting healthy living through locally-sourced products, it has expanded to include a cafe, juice bar, and produce market. Set on 75 acres of picturesque land with green spaces and walking trails, Singh Meadows offers an array of fresh fruits and vegetables from its on-site gardens.
**Please note Singh Meadows is not open to its full capacity as it used to be. The market, cafe, and barking bodega have not been open consistently or open at all for some period of time. Please keep this in mind before you plan to drive over. I’m trying to save you the trip*** If you decide to go over there, maybe call first to see what is open on that day :) (The pictures I posted are from 2022 when we went semi-regularly). That being said, I’m a big supporter of this place when operational, it is really awesome. We live within 5 minutes walking distance in the community right behind Singh Meadows off of Miller Rd. This is a heads up to people that the only thing really going on at the farm at this time is being able to get soil/compost. The market and cafe have been closed, I’m not sure for how long. So, Google shows hours of 8am to 2pm as “open” and technically it is, but all of the great aspects of the farm aren’t happening…expect just getting soil/compost for your home garden. I spoke to Mr. Singh today when I called to check on the status since I have friends who wanted to meet me there, and we had a good conversation on how things have been going at S.M. He said on their FB page they have updated people about the change in operations, but I don’t really use FB much so please note here that the main thing to do here at the moment is get composting for your garden. The Singh family experienced a loss in the family which impacted the farms operations. Please be patient with the ownership to get things up and running again. This is a place that people want to come and enjoy, but it’s not running at its full capacity right now. This info is current as of 3/29/24.

Singh Meadows in Tempe is a beautifully tranquil farmers market experience tucked into neighborhood green space. The fresh produce selections feel local and high quality, crisp greens, colorful fruits, artisan items, and the café side complements perfectly with vegetarian dishes and fresh juices. The ambiance is serene, with outdoor seating near water features and plenty of shade, making it more than just shopping, it’s a peaceful morning out. Whether I’m there for groceries, a juice, or just the vibe, Singh Meadows always delivers a warm, nourishing experience

Remember you're paying for the atmosphere when you order your food. I'm not going to lie, it's pricey but also delicious. Hummus plate: $10.95 gets 1/2 cup hummus, 5 cherry tomatoes, 4 broccoli florets, 4 cauliflower florets, 4 cut up radishes, 1 sliced small carrot & 1 small sliced pita. Very fresh and organic. Breakfast chibatta $9.95 plus I added 1 thick slice bacon for $2.50 but wasn't there supposed to be cheese and avocado? Large coffee: $5.40. 3x3x3 piece of oatmeal cake. $5 plus tax. Maybe I'm just out of touch after being away from restaurants this last year because I thought everything was overpriced. Maybe it's just me. Very peaceful and relaxing except I could have done without the music. I'll be going back when it's cooler (hey owner if you're reading this... install some overhead fans) and when I have deeper pockets.

Poor garden soil quality. Needed to rebuild my garden and wanted to use Singh Meadows mulch and soil. The soil was 90% river silt and nothing grew in it for two seasons now. The small amount of organic material was used to color the silt. Ended up digging up and replacing with a different provider. Alot of time and money wasted. If you want productive garden do not use.

Beautiful place. Great produce and price! Lines are a bit long and they only have one register is the only down fall. I was going to go back and grab a jar of honey before leaving but the line was too long.

This is the place to be on the weekends, farmers market, so you have all your fresh veggies for the week, they also have a grill for breakfast/lunch foods, plus fresh baked breads, homemade golden honey, pickles, fresh juices and teas and a ton of other goodies. The space outside opens up TO a HUGE grassy area, with a pond and an area for volleyball. Bring a blanket enjoy the birds, the sun and enjoy the weekend and Singh Meadows.

This place is wonderful, and the best use of an old golf course I have seen. It is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and there is a mellow atmosphere. We brought our dog this past weekend, and it was great for our morning walk. Also, since we’ve had so many monsoons lately, the wash that borders it looked like a river.

What a great spot! The amount of space to let littles run around and play is amazing. There is a pond and ducks to help entertain. If you don’t get there early, expect a line. Food is decent but I was disappointed that the menu online is nothing like what is actually offered. Only two food options were available in addition to pastries. Either way, worth the visit!

This casual spot offers classic American fare, including an unforgettable double bacon cheeseburger paired with perfectly cooked crinkle-cut fries. With its inviting atmosphere, complete with pool tables and arcade games, Woodshed is perfect for both food lovers and those looking to unwind with friends.
First time here, I had medium Jumbo wings grilled and they were fantastic. They are hot though 🔥👌 I think there were 20 beers on tap and a cider (Schilling)... so that's great. Also had Cider Corps in a can. This is the best place for wings that I have been to in over a year. ❤️ I will be back! Great server too, she made sure we were topped off and had everything we needed. Thanks

Nice little dive bar, went on a Wednesday during happy hour 3-7. Cheap drinks, cheap food and great service! My son ordered wings with crab seasoning fries and loved the wings!! Bartender did an awesome job running the place all by herself. We played pool and darts— enjoyed ourselves!!

I had an amazing double bacon cheeseburger at Casey's Woodshed Bar. The burger was cooked perfectly, featuring a thick and real patty that was juicy and flavorful. The crinkle-cut fries were also cooked to perfection, complementing the burger wonderfully. Whether you're coming to drink, or looking for food to go I'd say the Woodshed is the spot.

Aunt Chilada's Tempe is a vibrant restaurant located within the Arizona Grand Resort, offering a variety of Mexican dishes and margaritas. The ambiance is fantastic, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Despite some waiting time for a table, the service was prompt once seated. The street tacos with fish were visually appealing but lacked in fish content. Visitors were impressed by the delicious food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere.
Delicious food and margaritas. Great service. We appreciate that they offer a kids menu. Beautiful walk from Arizona Grand Resort to the restaurant, will a nice paved path, flowers and music playing from speakers.

Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere! The food wasn't very good. I'd give the food a 2. Had to return the fajitas as is was overdosed with salt. Steak Fundito was just okay, and the steak in it was slightly overcooked. The Aunt Cheladas margarita was awesome! Very pricy with below average food. Excellent service and atmosphere!

Fantastic food! Almost everything I had was great! The nachos were awesome! I love queso and shredded cheese mixed on my nachos and I like that they shredded the chicken instead of just chunks. The flour tortilla chips were great with the salsa. The elote had a bit too much lime for my taste and the sopapillas weren't my favorite. But, everything else was great!

It is October in Phoenix and this is a great patio to enjoy dinner on. The weather and the food are perfect. Highly recommend the flight of margarita. The flight has 3 different margaritas and each one is a full sized on the rocks drink. Three of us at the table perfect way to order, then get extra straws for sampling the other flavors.

The food was really good. I got the chimichanga asada with jalapeno cream cheese and the side of fresh cut jalapenos. The service was alright. When you go there you're waiting for a while. But all in all it's a very good place to go to. Atmosphere was amazing nice little place to go eat. First time I've ever been to a Mexican restaurant that plays country music. 🤣🌮💯

Stopped on our way out of Phoenix for lunch. Their was about 8 of us and the service was awesome. I ordered the Fajitas and it was great. My grandkids had grilled cheese and the waitress even brought out some toys for the kids to occupy their time. She was so awesome and was on top of everything by making sure the food was good, our drinks were refilled besides the many other customers she was serving she did not forget about us. Would definitely recommend.

First time trying Aunt Chilada’s was amazing! We were truly impressed with the delicious food, accommodating service, and delightful atmosphere. There was plenty of parking and when we arrived, and we were seated very quickly. We stopped in just 40 minutes til’ closing and hesitated, as we didn’t know if we’d be able to be serviced so late, but they treated us remarkably well!🥰 They start you off with crispy and warm tortilla chips plus two kinds of salsas-1 mild, 1 spicy(both were really good). We then ordered the house made guac- it was very tasty and fresh. For our entrees, we both decided on the specialty enchiladas. This platter is huge!! It comes with one asada, one chicken, and one cheese enchilada (with your choice of red, green, or Christmas salsas on top). Also comes with a side of rice, beans, guac, lettuce, & sour cream. It was $20 per platter, & very well worth it. Had plenty of leftovers too. Hubby liked the tamarind Margarita, and we had a great time dining here. Our server attended us with a kind smile and she made the experience all the better!🤓 5🌟

Oregano's is a family-friendly Italian restaurant chain known for its Chicago-style pizzas and sandwiches. Customers rave about the delicious deep-dish pizza, praising its perfect crust, fresh ingredients, and fantastic sauce. The restaurant offers a cozy ambiance with heated patio seating and attentive service. While some menu items may not meet expectations, overall, Oregano's is a popular choice for those craving Italian cuisine in a welcoming setting.
The food is so good and the decorations are all really cool vintage looking stuff. The meals are very big, big enough me and my mother split it in half and still had left overs but on the back of the menu they have "lunch rush" stuff that's all smaller versions for a bit cheaper if you don't want or can't bring home left overs. For how good it was it was really affordable! The picture is it split in half already, so half is on another plate and the second photo is a bit of the ravioli I ate for an appetizer which was also wonderful

We stopped at this property in the weekend and was crowded, do we decide to make it later in the following week. We popped in on the last hour of service hours and luckily was crowded in the outdoor seating area only. We were hosted and served professionally. We had Big Rig and Oregano Pesto pizza. The food was tasty however I give the Rigatoni an extra point. This property is highly recommended if you're into Italian cuisine.

Although I do feel Oregano’s uses the word “huge” a bit too liberally on their menu, I will admit that the portions were more than enough to satisfy. They serve Italian dishes that make you feel like you’re enjoying a home-cooked meal. We went here after spending the day at the ER and this meal could not have hit the spot any better.

The holy guaca-tony is so good! And a HUGE portion. Loved the Alfredo the dark, seasoned perfectly. The husband loved his dish, too, but I don't remember what it was. Went back a second time, and it was just as good. The prickly pear margarita is delicious. Not too sweet and strong! Wish it had a salted rim, but I'm sure I could have asked for it. Went back a year later and everything was even better than I remembered. Jayson was a fantastic server!

This place is lovely, from the food to the service . From just walking in the people were friendly and the service was top tier. I sat outside to eat and the birds were chirping and light jazz was playing giving the atmosphere a peaceful and calm feel. Our waiter Esmeralda was kinda and attentive. The taste of the food was DELICIOUS AND ON POINT and the portions were excellent. I got the Ragin Cajun Pasta. All in all, a great place and I would come back here the next time I’m in Arizona. I rate this 10/10 because it exceeds my expectations, thank you.

Everything here is good not great. Never been here before but the smells brought us in. Hostess was friendly but awkward. Waiter was nice but talked really softly. Got the deviled eggs and pulled pork nachos. Creative take on the eggs and were really good. Nachos were pretty unspectacular. Again, everything was good but just not great.
Daniel L — Google review
I am truthfully very biased coming from Texas, but this BBQ was just alright at best. They made a very big fuss about how long they slow cook the meat and how flavorful and amazing it is. But our brisket was dry and overcooked, and the ribs were greasy and bland (we got both the pork & spare ribs). It's definitely not the worst BBQ I've had, especially this far into the desert, but I would NOT pay the price that we paid for this meal and I would not recommend it. The sugar-covered biscuits were pretty good though. Additionally, they messed up our bill pretty awkwardly after we had already paid. A party member ordered a combo meal for two that came with a dessert, but for some reason, the restaurant had to ring up the items separately instead of paying as one big chunk. This led to the dessert item being left off the bill, meaning the waitress came back after the bill had already been paid with a NEW bill that also needed to be paid (giving us a $125 bill after the $115 one, instead of just giving a separate $10 bill or better yet, including the dessert price in the original meal item cost). I don't know if that makes sense or is confusing, but we were all equally as confused. To top it off, after all that fiasco, they forgot our to-go dessert (that came with the meal) and we had to wait a while for it to come out. The poor waitress was so apologetic. All that being said, the staff here were incredible. Our waitress was very sweet and highly attentive. She helped us find the perfect menu items for our party and was on top of requests left and right. She did her best to help us have a good time, and worked very hard to try and correct the bill fiasco. I wouldn't come back here since I live near better, cheaper, more easily accessible BBQ, but if this is all that's around you, then just stick to the cheap menu items.
Celeste T — Google review
Still my favorite BBQ chain anywhere and they proved me feelings correct once again! The beef ribs are what keeps me coming back as they are huge and delicious and can't find need ribs like these anywhere. And their spicy BBQ sauce is so good I had to buy another bottle to take back to NM with me along with extra ribs - I just wish I had bought two bottles as half is already gone. The grilled corn on the cob is amazing, but fair warning, it does come with cotija cheese on it, which I was not aware of as it didn't before, so if you don't want that, be sure to mention it. But they were kind enough to being out a new pair for me without it, so no harm no foul and kuddos to the manager for that! Love this place and def will return next time I'm in Phoenix!
Ali A — Google review
I have been here many times was slightly disappointed on the street corn traditional street corn has sauce and cheese and tajin etc. the grilled taste severely over powered the actual taste of the corn. The burnt ends were not crispy and was more soft fat. Part of the meat that was in it was good. The brisket was amazing and the salmon was good and the mac n cheese. Biscuits and butter to die for.

Caffe Boa is a popular spot in Tempe, offering European cuisine with a focus on fresh, market-driven ingredients. The restaurant's contemporary and airy space attracts a diverse crowd, from young couples to ASU students and professors. Their menu features Italian classics with a modern twist, including dishes like lasagna with a creamy tomato sauce and butternut squash ravioli in sage and garlic butter.
I loved this place. It was the last leg of a two week business trip and I wanted a good meal and a nice place to sit outside. The service was fantastic. The owner or manager of the place walked me around the corner to show me the A mountain when I shared I was from out of town and looking for something to do. I had dinner by myself on the patio after two long weeks of travel and I couldn’t have picked a better place. For the quality of the food, service and environment, it’s a 10/10. Coming from a pretty picky girl with high standards, I approve. Looking forward to exploring the area, safe for solo travel.

Went here on a work trip after work one day. I sat at the bar and the staff were very friendly and on top of everything. The food was delicious and the cocktails were refreshing. I had the calamari appetizer, the voodoo penne pasta and the 398 cocktail. All the items were recommendations from the bartenders based on what I told them I like. None of the recommendations missed. Overall great experience and will be back next time I am in Tempe!

This place has potential with the atmosphere alone. Beautiful restaurant with amazing aesthetic. However, there’s major downsides beginning with the service. This might be the worst service for such a nice restaurant I’ve ever experienced. The server was completely absent the entire time. We were waiting around for service and eventually had to ask another server and the hostess for help. Our food also came out separately, with 45 minutes between the first and last dish. So my friend had to eat his dinner alone since everyone else was long done. The drinks are not great— the worst old fashioned I’ve ever had, but it’s also not on the menu so maybe that’s my fault. The food was good, but some of us got sick. Again, I’ll say this place has so much potential if they just fixed their service and quality of food/beverages. I feel like this type of restaurant is typical of Tempe though— well overrated but amazing atmosphere. If you want overall nice restaurants, you really have to go to Phoenix or Scottsdale. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Amazing spot. While the rest of Mill Ave is getting turned over, this long-standing Italian spot should stay forever because of how good it is. The food was amazing, the drinks were top notch, and the service was personalized and friendly. We had the calamari, voodoo penne, and cioppino, and would order all of them again. Our espresso martinis, blackberry Negroni, and glasses of wine were all exceptional. Definitely stop here for your next meal.

Headed here for a quick bite after an event in downtown Tempe. It was around 8:45 PM on a Thursday night. We had the street corn dish with shrimp which is shown in the picture. Others at our table had a couple of the salads which they said were amazing. Service was great. Atmosphere was also very nice. We sat outside as the weather was wonderful. Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

We had a fantastic brunch at Cafe Boa. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere with a great patio. Our server was very welcoming and attentive and provided excellent recommendations. If you love delicious craft cocktails then this place is a must-try. We each loved our cocktails and would order them again. I highly recommend the steak and eggs. It was extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection. The feta garlic sauce should be bottled and sold it was so good. We also ordered the chilaquiles which was perfection. We normally have to add hot sauce when ordered at other places, but at Cafe Boa it was seasoned expertly and didn’t require any additions. We also ordered the avocado toast with poached egg which was wonderful as well. It was the perfect meal and we are looking forward to coming back soon.

Our server was awesome, super friendly, quick to check in, and really helpful with the menu, which made the whole experience even better. We kicked things off with the giant baked pretzel, and wow it was fresh, warm, perfectly salted, and came with three amazing sauces I also had the fish and chips it was crispy, hot, and hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely come back again!

I went here for my anniversary and was impressed. I got the poke nachos and the kimchi fried rice. The food was fantastic! The waiter was kind but they didn’t do anything special for our anniversary. The atmosphere was lively, but felt similar to cheese cake factory and culinary drop out combined.

This was our "fancy" dinner for our trip to Arizona, and on our last night. We got the spicy tuna roll as an appetizer and it was very tasty - and had very appealing presentation. I ordered the Tuscan Romano Chicken and it was delightful. The chicken was crispy and tasty, and the pasta had a creamy, spicy sauce that compliments it well. The vegetables added color to the plate and they were cooked just right. My wife's Gochujang Bbq Pork & Kimchi Fried Rice looked great. She really enjoyed it, and the flavor was there. She didn't care for the rice, but the pork and the egg she really liked. Lastly we got the Deep Dish Chocolate Porter Brownie and it was rich, filling, and the perfect ending to our meal. Our server was great - she was attentive, accurate with our order, and very nice. Overall we enjoyed the atmosphere and set up, with the exception that the lighting on the table was weird. A large round light hung down fairly low, and had some kind of shade/border that only let light go straight down onto the table, which made the booth dark, other than directly on the table. Other than the table light, the lighting was dark throughout the restaurant. We had a great experience here and would love to come back the next time we're in town!

Fabulous lunch or dinner spot in Tempe Marketplace. I haven't been disappointed with any meal we have had there. Service is top notch and they seem to take care of you the whole time you are there. We had a coupe old fashioned drinks and they missed putting a cherry in each of them. No big deal. I asked about getting one for us and joked about getting a couple extra. Well she went above and brought a few more than a couple. The extra little bit like that keeps people coming back. Thanks for another great evening experience.

The staff was welcoming and quick to seat us and our server got drinks in right away. The queso wasn’t my favorite but the sliders from the happy hour menu were delicious especially the crispy chicken one. The place was quiet before dinner had plenty of seating and overall felt like a spot worth returning to.

One of my favorite Tempe spots! working my way slowly through the menu, but everything i have already tried has been anazing! the BBQ Pork was spectacular with a delicious sauce that had sweetened cherries on the side. lovely lovely ! and the garlic mashed potatoes brought it all together deliciously. paired it with Freakshow cybernetic. mmmmmmm

Karlie was our server and she was very attentive, super fun, and very accommodating to our group. She is a delight and I would definitely request her for my server in the future.

I've visited this location several times and this time it seemed like the waitress forgot about us. We went on Friday afternoon so it wasn't super busy but it took an ridiculously long time to get drink refills and for our food to come out. They also changed presentation and size of a side of fries. It used to come in a metal funnel maybe that made it seem like there were more but it was just a small plate of fries this time. The macaroni and cheese is really tasty and they have great burgers. Spinach artichoke dip comes in a cute little cast iron with fresh chips and was really good.

Rainforest Cafe is a jungle-themed restaurant that offers a stress-free dining experience for families and kids of all ages. The interior resembles an actual rainforest, complete with animatronic wildlife and periodic simulated thunderstorms. The atmosphere is entertaining, with the sounds of animal life and a starry night sky above. The food is delicious, making it a satisfying experience for visitors. Located in Arizona, where sunny days are abundant, Rainforest Cafe provides an escape into the wild without leaving your table.
I am finally getting the time to give a much deserved review. We brought our daughters to the Rainforest Cafe to celebrate one turning 8! This was a first for both of them and I was so excited to see the same forest feel that I remembered from childhood. Cam provided excellent service, was attentive, and so kind our entire time there. We truly enjoyed her and she made sure our daughter was celebrated right by bringing over the whole crew to sing happy birthday! The food was also delicious and we were all pleased! If that wasn’t enough, we were blessed to come on a night when they had a balloon artist onsite. Brian, an outside business owner who partners with the restaurant at times, was amazing and could make absolutely ANYTHING you asked him to with ease! Both my girls, my husband, and myself were amazed. This was definitely a night to remember and I truly hope Rainforest Cafe digs in its roots. These restaurants are still appreciated by many! #savetherainforest!

The restaurant itself is amazing. The waitstaff friendly and knowledgeable. The tables are nicely spaced apart. The food is incredibly tasty 😋 The price is comparable to area restaurants. But,,, The bathroom was a Mess!

Loved this place as a kid! Took my daughter here Sunday 9/28/2025 for a family dinner, it was busy, with lots of birthdays and held that awesome atmosphere I remember growing. Servers were awesome and atintive to detail, the balloon lady was awesome and made my daughters night! The food came out fast and was just as requested, and tasted great. Having spent my entire professional career with in the fine dining culinary industry and now owning a food cart, I can happily say me and my family would make the drive back from Tucson for another fantastic experience. Thank you rainforest team! And keep up the awesome job 🔥👍🏻 (Also pictures from the food were after we dug in, it looked way nicer when it came out lol)

It was my first time there today. I ordered the Steak, Rib, & Shrimp Trio. I wasn't a fan of the Coleslaw nir the Coconut Shrimp. The Steak & Ribs were on point. The service was outstanding. I will definitely come back. Thank You. I'm very impressed 👍

The food was so good and warm the service was well despite a few times where we asked for drinks and they didn’t come so we had to ask again but that can be excused! The pasta was so so delicious I ate it all up the drinks were very pleasant!! The price is pretty well my only critique was that there should be more animal noises!! Would recommend as an experience at least once in your life!

Joe's Crab Shack is a casual seafood chain that offers a variety of crab buckets, stuffed shrimp, and American comfort dishes. While the prices can be on the higher side, the food quality and portions are generally satisfying. Customers have enjoyed menu items such as the Cajun pot, Eastern mix platter, stuffed crab, bacon-wrapped shrimp, calamari, fries, barbecue queen crab, Dungeness crab, and hush puppies.
When the food is so good, the two of you are floating on a cloud of happy memories. The Sparkle in their eyes gets bigger and brighter as time goes by. The laughter gets fuller as your eyes get heavier. Then our waitress "Hailey" was all smiles, bubbly personality, and extra attentive.. couldn't have asked for a better waitress. The atmosphere is colorful and full of possibilities!!! Great place and experience. Check this place out and see for yourself.

Service, food and drinks were exceptional. Even bought some T-shirts and hats. Amy and Rob went above and beyond for my son's 18th Birthday. Thank u so much for making this a very memorable day!!
Michele P — Google review
The food quality here is decent, though considering the prices, it might seem a bit overpriced in terms of quality. However, given the restaurant's ambiance and facilities, I feel it's worth the price. The environment is well-designed with a great atmosphere, and the menu offers a wide variety of options, making it perfect for family gatherings. Moreover, they have a children's playground which is great for keeping kids entertained. The quality of fried food is average, but the steamed seafood is excellent. Unfortunately, the oysters tasted a bit off, and lemon was not provided. Additionally, four out of the six oysters had shell fragments inside, which greatly affected the taste, so I wouldn't recommend them. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic, although a bit rushed; they kept urging us to order, asking twice within five minutes of sitting down before we even had a chance to look at the menu, which was a bit frustrating.

King's Fish House is a seafood restaurant located in Tempe Marketplace and offers an extensive menu of fish and seafood, as well as beer, wine, and cocktails. The oyster bar at the restaurant is particularly popular for its huge quantities of oysters from all over the world. The quality of the food is excellent, and the waitstaff are friendly and helpful.
It has been one of my favourite places growing up. Every time my family and I visit Phoenix, I can't miss the time going to this amazing restaurant, which is always good and always never disappoints. I love their King Crabs with the sides of MacNChees and asparagus. Their calamari is amazing. Sadly, they removed their original seafood combo. My family and I used to order two of them every time for our appetizer; if this original dish was back, it would make the experience 10 times better. Their sushi is fresh and always tasty. Not to mention, their starter Sourdough Bread is always exceptional. The place is really pretty; definitely, somewhere you enjoy being at. The environment is perfect as well with the good service. You're paying for what you're getting. Wish they have one of these in Canada!

Great service. They have a variety of children's meals which is nice if your kids don't like fish. I had the salmon with brussels sprouts which was delicious. The waitress was very nice and efficient. I would like to plan to go back again. They also have live lobsters and crabs in a tank.

This place is truly 10 stars. Awesome food, awesome service, place was just magnificent. Got the whole fish - it was to die for. Brought home chocolate cake, key line pie & catfish. Everything there is soooooo good. Everything cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place.

We had the oyster sampler to start along with clams & andouille, main courses the kings combo platter & clams linguini, sharing the cheesecake did dessert. Oysters and clams were the best part of the meal though I wish it were the cheesecake. Good place to for a group meal.

Awesome daddy daughter date night kings really made it special! My daughter was very interested in the live lobsters the staff noticed this and brought one out for a meet and greet even had it do a cool trick and hold a fork for her, absolutely above and beyond my expectations and a way to make our short time there memorable. Food was fantastic as well my daughter was ecstatic about the butter noodles and milk and my dungeons crab was great as well! Bravo guys!

My fiancé and I ordered Sasimi and That quality was bad. It was thin and especially Tuna color was changed and dried up. Salmon was broken off and old. But worst was radishes ( Daikon) under the Sashimi was spoiling. I think it was amateur work. Albacore Tataki was good. Server was nice. From a professional perspective, Sashimi needs fresh fish, It’s not like topping for sushi. Better not serve raw fishes.
M B — Google review
I'm sure this restaurant is liked by many patrons, but I cannot give this location higher than 3 stars. Maybe I went on an off day or something; but the service was relatively poor, and pretty much everything we ate was burned except for the bread. While the server was fairly attentive, the food took no less than 30 minutes to arrive, despite there only being about 8 other tables there at 7:30pm. Also, I personally think it's a little odd that this restaurant closes as early as 9pm, especially on the weekends. I don't really have much else to say. The food was expensive, the portion sizes were meager, I don't believe the cost to experience ratio was fair, and I don't believe I'll be returning. The experience was different from a lot of other seafood restaurants, but it wasn't "better" in any way.

Casey Moore's Oyster House is a cozy Irish haunt that has been owned by the Brower family since 1959. The place exudes homespun charm with its heavy pours, two bars, and a spacious patio offering views of Camelback Mountain. The rustic decor adds to its appeal without being overly themed. It's known for seafood, pub grub, draft beer, and whiskey. The outdoor area is particularly popular at night when the lights come on and a cool breeze blows through.
This place is a total vibe, think small costal town, nothing like other restaurants in AZ. It was a breath of fresh air. The outdoor seating is the best. The music was awesome. And the service was outstanding. Everything we ordered was very tasty as well. Highly recommend the escargot if that is your thing. 100/10 will be back.

Casey Moore's is timeless! I come here often with my family. The food is great and they have a variety of menu items so everyone is sure to find something to eat. The service I have always received here has been nothing short of excellent, whether that's in the dining room or enjoying a few sips at the bar. This Oyster House has quite the history, but the atmosphere is upbeat and inviting. As much as I would love to gatekeep this place, it really has become popular and I tell all my friends how much I enjoy this place. The ghosts are pretty cool to talk with, too.

First time visit here and it didn’t disappoint- great seating area outside or inside, server was communicative and made sure we enjoyed everything - the food was so good, the Rockafella Oysters were amazing and the escargot in a creamy garlic sauce with mushrooms were divine! Quirky decor, great drinks bar and atmosphere… go, you won’t be disappointed

Where can I get a beyond burger and oysters? Here!! My dining companion got the salmon pesto BLT. "Pretty solid" he says. I got the bolognese pasta. Sprinkles of square carrots brought the sauce to the next level of my pallette! Love it. The noodles were supple and perfectly cooked. My other dining companion devoired the beyond burger in record time, possibly owing to the sautéed mushrooms, pepper jack, blue cheese crumbles. Fantastic! As a sidenote, server Ellen has supreme balancing capabilities that I have witnessed before! Wonderful service. Recommend... and don't forget the oysters!!!
