Market
Baños Central Market is a must-visit for those seeking authentic traditional food experiences. The chaotic atmosphere adds to the authenticity, with vendors vying for your attention. La Hueca de Blanquita at post 4 offers delicious Llapingacho con hornado, and visiting in the afternoon provides a more relaxed vibe. The market offers fast service, fresh products, pleasant flavors, and good prices. It's a great place to enjoy local food and juices for lunch at affordable prices.
Delicious traditional food like " caldo de patas o de pollo" I enjoy eating in this place. 😋
Monserrat A — Google review
Lovely place as everywhere in Baños town. Fairly Safe and friendly people
Dory S — Google review
Some of the food vendors rip you off if you dont pay up front. The hygiene is really disgusting and the hot food is over priced compared to a restaurants. Nasty vendors treat tourist very badly. Avoid.
Andrey J — Google review
Stall #33 does the best roast pork in the market. After spending 2 weeks in Baños I found myself returning to them over and over again. It may look simple but taste it, it’s incredible

Love this market, great place to get local food/juice for lunch in Baños for a cheap price and there’s plenty to choose from. They’re very quick too. If you’re game you can try the guinea pig here at the restaurant out front.

Casa Hood is a popular spot known for its diverse and flavorful menu. It offers a variety of international dishes, with a focus on vegetarian and vegan options, making it a standout in Ecuador where such choices are limited. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting, with good music adding to the relaxing vibe. Visitors can enjoy filling breakfasts, affordable set lunches, and delicious Asian cuisine. Despite occasional slow service due to its popularity, the overall experience is enhanced by the great atmosphere.
Good international food! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options.
Mike G — Google review
The food was delicious but the atmosphere insufficient. The restaurant was really cold, we even had to wear our coats whilst eating. No candles or firewood on. Could improve. Many vegetarian options with SEITAN, like vegetarian pad Thai, 2 vegetarian curries, vegetarian nasi goreng, we loved it!
Louise G — Google review
Love the many vegetarian options & their vegetarian menu del dia! Great pita falafel sandwich too.
Brian S — Google review
We had a blast! The food is very fresh. We had the ginger hot tea and it is amazing. Silvia was wonderfully attentive and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Highly recommend!
Stephanie — Google review
We really enjoyed our early dinner with server Naim. Was empty in the early afternoon after swimming. Fresh juices were great! Trucha was very nice. Only accept cash in USD. Definately an expat location. Def recommend.
Books C — Google review
Great food and great service. In addition to herb crusted lemon chicken I had one of their amazing juice smoothies; the Super C ( passion fruit, alfalfa, citrus). Staff speaks English and Spanish. Great decor and musicians stop in every so often to just play 1-2 songs.
Damon T — Google review
Very quiet and relaxed place, it's homeade food, taste good, it's no fast food you will have to wait a little bit. Humus it's great, you can order your food vegetarian or with meat. One of the top places in baños.
Alex S — Google review
Wow! Just amazing good food, all served by very nice staff. All ingredients taste fresh and their salsa picante did remind me of the spicy salsas you get in the very best TexMex restaurants in Tx. I’ve eaten several “almuerzo’s” so far and a few times from the menu. All is just superb. I enjoyed the NasiGoreng a lot. I hadn’t had a really good tasting NasiGoreng in years. I keep going back to this place. On top of all that, I love it when they fire up the fire place on a chilly rainy day. PS no plastic bottles used at all. They’re very environmental oriented.

First of all, great coffee! Nice atmosphere, and the breakfast was delicious. The baristas are super professional, and if Sebastian makes your coffee you can be rest assured ;)
Yotam G — Google review
The food is delicious – especially the desayuno de la casa 🤤👌 The café itself is very cozy, with good music and plugs next to every (!) table, which is great if you want to work there. The only complaint is that the seats are often not cleaned after previous customers (full of crumbs, stains, etc.)

Amazing Ecuadorian coffee. Very happy to find specialty coffee shop with pour over(if i remember what i ordered correctly). And the cake was also delicious.

Very solid cafe! Professional baristas/waiters, very clean, the food has always been great when I have visited Baños. It can get very busy and the space is a little tight, but that's because it is a popular cafe. Overall: great customer service, great food and coffee, the space is a little tight but this cafe is consistently high quality.

Cafeteria
Plantas y Blanco Hostel, located in the heart of Banos, is a popular choice for travelers. The hostel offers warm mixed-gender dorms and private rooms with mountain views. It features a hidden rooftop cafeteria serving freshly baked breads, natural juices, and delicious breakfast options. With a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, and free Wi-Fi throughout the property, guests can enjoy their stay comfortably. The hostel also boasts a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and restaurant.
This was a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, there is a kitchen space upstairs with common area for cooking your own food or making coffee in the morning, and it's a block off the main square. The manager was very helpful and accommodating. We really enjoyed out stay and highly recommend it.
Michael M — Google review
Great hostel for individuals or groups. Love the rooftop terrace with great view of the waterfall and old church. Good food, only breakfast is not included. Staff speak English well and we're very accommodating. I stay at this hotel just about every time I visit Baños. I recommend it!
Rebecca M — Google review
I like it. The bedrooms are clean, the bathrooms and common areas are very good and the people working here are very helpful and friendly. They helped me to get very good prices for tours, for example we bought an amazing tour of paragliding for only 55$. What I didn't like is that most of the windows have some kind of garage safety door that they close in the evening and open at 10ish in the morning. It's very hard to wake up early since the rooms are really dark before 10. Also there is no good air-condition and the room climate gets kinda dry.
Jonas G — Google review
A beautiful hostel in a great location in Banos. The place is very clean with comfortable rooms and exceptional staff. There is also a gorgeous rooftop terrace with a kitchen and Healthy breakfasts available. They have a restaurant attached as well which has a very cool atmosphere (fireplace) and good food. Highly recommend staying here, easily one of my favourite hostels in South America.
Destinationless T — Google review
Huge hostel. A bit too big for me to create a nice atmosphere, though. Staff were incredibly helpful. Cheap laundry. Chill out area and rooftop are quite nice. Beds made daily and towels available to change when needed. Good place to stay!
Iván R — Google review
If you want a place to be social and crash after a night of partying, this might be a good place for you. Otherwise, its not great. The walls are thin so I could hear conversations from the hall and lots of traffic noise from the street. Its located right in the middle of town, so good for coming back from bars but not good if you want to sleep, especially on a Saturday night. I also found that the bathrooms weren’t very clean or well-stocked. However, there is a really nice rooftop space to hang out and the breakfast was excellent.
Samantha S — Google review
Amazing hostel, clean, nice hang out area with PS4, Netflix, pool table, tennis table, Hammocks... Great roof top terrace. Lovely staff. The best hostel in South America we stayed at so far. They offer breakfast for extra and have a restaurant next door
Elodie T — Google review
The hostel was overall good. Staff was nice and friendly. We did the bike water fall tour and it was fun. They also have all the amenities you might need from a hostel ( games room, Netflix, computer, bar, kitchen and you can pay for breakfast). It's a bit of a party hostel but we had no trouble going to bed early on the first floor.

Excellent American-style breakfast. My kids had the pancakes with ice cream. Everything was delicious and fresh. Fresh blackberry juice and hot chocolate. Highly recommend breakfast here in Banos

An alternative place to eat a sandwich, brown salads and desserts. The place is nice super cozy, the staff is super friendly. The service is fast and the food is pretty good. I had a salad, the dressings are mayonnaise-based, they could improve a little with olive oil and some vinegar. The coffee was very good. The only place where I really had an Italian style espresso

The restaurant serves traditional food with a modern twist and operates all day. Guests can choose to dine indoors or on the terrace while enjoying dishes like Llapingachos with chorizo.
This is a lovely restaurant. We found this spot while walking around Baños looking for lunch. The restaurant is located on the second floor and has indoor and outdoor seating (balcony). We had a lunch special that included a soup, main dish (pork chop or steak) rice and salad, as well as a small desert. Everything was delicious and flavorful. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. The price of our meal was excellent. I hope to return to Mestizart on my next trip.

My favorite place in Baños to get a meal. The food is great and so is the service. It is located just next to the central park of Baños and being on the second floor, it has an amazing view of the city around it. If you're coming later in the day, I would definitely recommend going to their rooftop bar too. Love this place, and will definitely be back in the future!!

The service was the best service I’ve ever had. Coming from the America we don’t speak a lot of Spanish. But the front desk knew English. When my gf got sick they handled the situation better than any most by far. The location is great it’s a nice 7-9 min walk to the down store main strip. Highly highly recommend staying here. Oh the breakfast was also delicious and huge variety.

Beautiful small hotel in central Baños right next to the Thermal Waters. The hotel smells amazing and is really nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is no elevator but they moved all of our luggage to the third floor for us. The room was simple but nice. The TV had terrible reception but we only watched it before bed. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.

This is a nice hotel in Baños, a lovely town - we wished we would have had more time to look around it. There is a stunning waterfall outside the hotel - at night it is lit up beautifully. The meal we got at the hotel restaurant was very delicious, especially the chocolate dessert. The restaurant itself had a fun "Alice in Wonderland" theme. Our room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the pools or the spa.
Glenda M — Google review
Had a wonderful stay here while visiting Baños. Right away, there is a beautiful waterfall right across from the hotel entrance. The service is top notch 5 star. Both restaurants are delicious, as is the breakfast buffet. I also had a massage with Fernanda and it was amazing. I would highly recommend a visit.

I visited the hotel with my wife. Reservations were made via WhatsApp. Marlon helped us with that. The decorations were nice. There was some humidity on our bedroom wall. The SPA was great. The three course diner was awesome. The breakfast was good. Just take care of some small humidity on the bedroom walls. We will definitely visit you guys again.

The restaurant was good, although a bit expensive for Ecuador but the food was very good. I had the Cuy Tacos....delicious and strongly recommend. Breakfast was also good.

Maybe the hotel is good, but the communication via WhatsApp is really poor. During my first attempt to reach them, I did not receive any response. Then I wrote from my other number and received an answer 6 hours later, almost at midnight. They never answer calls. I received the details to make the reservation, but I did not receive the amount.

I spent four nights here, great location in the city, breakfast is amazing, and the dinner is very affordable and good, people are very friendly
Cedric C — Google review
The hotel is very clean and the staff are attentive. Breakfast is sufficient, and there is plenty to eat. The location is good and close to town. The one thing that really is off-putting is we were woken every morning by the school next door playing music or gaberling on from 7.00am. It really is annoying and not what I want at a hotel.
Trevor Q — Google review
La Floresta is absolutely excellent. Not only the rooms but the restaurant for dinner & the breakfast were excellent too. The staff are super nice & speak English. Santa Cruz Backpacker's Hostal is a laid-back hostel in Banos, offering no-frills rooms and dorms with mountain views. It's conveniently located near the city center and provides a communal kitchen, garden with hammocks, and optional breakfast. The property offers quick access to Cascada Cabellera de la Virgen and is within walking distance of the city center. Guests can enjoy board games, a beautiful garden, and parking on-site.
Fantastic value for money! We went at their less busy time and we pretty much had the whole courtyard to ourselves. They have two different kitchens, access to drinks and activities such as a magnetic chess board and other games (PC) to occupy you. The staff were unbelievably helpful throughout our stay and I would definitely stay here again in future.
Maddog ( — Google review
Very cute place but sometimes the showers and water don't work. The staff is great the rooms and bathrooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a kitchen and drinking water. The location is good too. Close to everything. The only downfall is noise at night heard through the window if in a room by the road.
Caitlynn B — Google review
We didn’t expect much, but even that was too much for this hostel. Rude personnel, noisy rooms and overall a bad experience.
Niek V — Google review
The hotel has the basics to spend the night, clean bathroom, a comfortable bed and good atmosphere. Breakfast is good, bread, eggs, coffee and delicious fresh fruit juices 😋 The staff is super friendly. Recommended if you are not looking for luxuries
Mireya C — Google review
This place is rather cheap and well located. It is also noisy appears dingy, and is poorly lit. To save money, or to hide the unsightliness of the rooms, they use very low watt CFLs. I'm not sure it was unclean, but it looks unclean. They accept reservations with a credit card via their website, but can't charge credit cards. They are a cheap place to rest your head after a long day of adventure, but one should spend a couple more bucks and go somewhere better. It has no view. The staff while friendly enough, speaks no English, which is unusual for a large backpacker hostel. Did I mention the noise? The noise includes: the tour buses that blare music, car alarms, normal street noise, and late nigh verbal altercations. The courtyard and chiminea is nice, but could be beautiful and comfortable. They do have quick hot showers. If you're extremely budget minded stay here, but I would, and did, spend two more dollars for a place that has a swimming pool (too cold to use)and looks extremely clean.

The staff is not very nice, the trash was not changed, basic things... I do not expect a lot, but the minimum. The reception was not in the same building as our room. The street is noisy. We are having a private room with private bathrooms in a reasonable price, so it's worth it. It's five minutes walk for the center where all the restaurants are. Even though you have a coffee place right in front which is nice (the breakfast is not included), you have a massage place right in front that has a lof of offeres, two in 35$! There is a great agency called experience Ecuador and we loved it. (we did canyoning with a guide named Darvin, amazing tour guide).
Sharon A — Google review
Great place! Hot showers and good wifi, amazing garden and places to chill out within the complex! The town is gorgeous. Staff is friendly! If you're in the other building, the views are great on the higher floors!

Great stay! Some staff have very limited or no english, but helpful nonetheless. Really good (quieter) spot in baños and lovely setting inside/courtyard, clean rooms.

Restaurant
Nestled within the elegant confines of Hotel Samari Spa Resort, La Piedra Restaurant is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. With its sophisticated ambiance, it’s the perfect spot for breakfast, offering both a delightful buffet and an à la carte menu featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients. While Banos boasts numerous steak houses, La Piedra stands out with its exceptional cuts of meat cooked right before your eyes over firewood and finished on lava rocks—an impressive sight!
While there are many steak places in Baños, we found this one to be best (we tried 4) and yet under rated. The cuts of meats were amazing, extremely fresh and cooked in front of your eyes. The steaks are cooked on firewood and finished off on a lava rock in your plate!! They come accompanied with fresh veggies and thick cut fries. They have a great selection of German beers and red wines to finish up your experience. Kiddos had the burgers and pizza.. both were equally top notch!! This place caters to the foreign pallet and understands how certain cuts should be cut and prepared…perhaps this explains the low rating by locals.

If you want to eat pasta, do Not eat here. I ordered lasagna . when they gave me my lasagna I thought it was a kids portion size at $10 kind of expensive for Baños. They also give me two small Dry pieces of garlic bread which were cut by hand, I think. Also ordered a Mojito and they blend the mint leaves first . Cocktail looked like green spinach drink. Girlfriend ordered a pizza she was happy with her meal. As we wait 30 minutes for our meal. We could see the person grilling the frozen steaks and chicken breast. They grill their meats frozen.
Dave P — Google review
Our burgers were fantastic, pizza was delicious and it was all very affordable. You know when the chef is on display at the front grilling the food that it's gonna be good! Thanks!
Carson S — Google review
(-) There is no different between the medium and the small size pizza. (+) The pesto pasta was good and big. (+) The bolognese pasta was good and big. (+) The chicken fillet was very tasty, big dish with a lot of grilled vegetables and potatoes.

The pasta was raw, and small like vomit. We could not eat it.

Encebollado is a savory fish stew featuring albacore tuna, yuca, and tangy pickled onions. This dish is renowned for its robust and spicy flavors and is particularly popular in coastal areas, often enjoyed as a breakfast or remedy for hangovers.

Cafe
Nestled in a charming and quaint setting, Cafe Ali Cumba is renowned for its delightful coffee and pastries. The friendly staff and warm hospitality create an inviting atmosphere. Visitors can savor the amazing homemade Chai latte and sandwiches made with quality ingredients, including homemade Danish bread. The owner, a kind Danish lady, is known for engaging customers in conversation and offering helpful tips.
The homemade bread with the fillings is heavenly! Smoothie was sooo good too and the atmosphere very nice. Perfect!
Tuulia W — Google review
Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the stay in that Cafe. The place is really nice and cozy and the atmosphere very calm and relaxing BUT...the Danish owner is annoying. Our drinks took long to prepare and were very expensive compared to the rest of baños cafes. 10$ for two non-alcoholic drinks...you have to beg for the Wi-Fi password and she then asks you if you plan on eating something. First I thought she was kidding but she was serious about that. My advice for her is to rethink her way of doing business and be more customer orientated in order to keep that nice place alive...
Juri — Google review
Has a great decor - both the sun outside and the cheerful vibe inside (and interesting English books to select from). Run by a Danish and Ecuadorean couple I think. The smoothies were a bit expensive but tasty at $5.50 for about 20oz (though I got charged $6 for mine).
V C — Google review
Bread was AMAZING! Eggs delicious and perfectly cooked. Nice 100% fruit smoothies. Music was chill. Owner likes to have conversation and recommend things to do. However, the owner has a big personality. She kept talking about politics, how much money she makes per month and trip advisor when we were trying to relax and eat. We were nice and heard her out but it was a bit much. Might I recommend that she steer clear of these topics and try not to ask for reviews. Your food and smoothies will speak for themselves. It’s really a good restuarant but the owner is intense.
Ian E — Google review
Avoid at all costs!! I rarely review places, but the owner has no sense of costumer service. Food is overpriced and she is &extremely rude.I wished I had read the reviews beforehand and avoided such an awful experience. She should not be in the a costumer service role as she is rude, pushes you to buy food, complains about anything you do (we wanted to share the $9.50 breakfast), and she gave us a lesson on how good her food is and that we shouldn't be sharing, as the prices were right for the quality of food!! The food is only decent and is not worth the price. She kept coming to our table to tell us off about sharing or not having exact change. She even tried to charge us extra because we asked for an extra plate!!! Don't go here, if you don't want your morning/lunch ruined. I tried to tell her that she should change her attitude if she wants to keep her business going, and she just ignored me. One of the worst experiences to date.
Maria R — Google review
Great place to relax in Banos! We walked in on a rainy day, the Chai latte (home made) was the best thing at that moment! Came back the next day for the sandwiches - indeed not the cheapest around but very good quality (ask for the homemade Danish bread!) and you get two which filled me up for the rest of the day. We enjoyed chatting with the owner - a really kind Danish lady who runs the place with her Ecuadorian husband. Indeed, as some reviews read you may not be in the mood for this so just make it known if that is the case;)
Lisette H — Google review
Came in the morning for some coffee and a banana nut muffin. I had such a great experience I came back in the evening for a sandwich. It's made with fresh wheat bread. Order the moccaccino you won't regret it! The owner is very pleasant and has many helpful tips.
Lizet — Google review
Coffee was decent- it’s what we came in for. Organic, local, homemade (available throughout Ecuador) food is served and was pitched to us a few times. It is no doubt high in quality but is what you’d find in most local places (fruit smoothies, sandwiches) but at a higher price- maybe rent is higher and owner knows more than locals do. Please save your business, make some humble pie, and listen to everyone. I make my living running a food service business- While one customer may not be right, the majority probably are.

Cafe
Aromi Café & Chocolate Gourmet is a cafeteria in Banos that specializes in chocolate and coffee. It is less busy than the newer, bigger Aromi Cafe in the center, and it has excellent chocolate and cake. It is closed on Mondays.
Small, stylish coffee shop next to the basilica of Banõs. Nice assortment of coffee/tea/hot chocolate varieties as well as excellent crepes and other small dishes. The ambience is also great with the huge and comfy chairs and views out onto the cities centre and basilica
Thomas P — Google review
One of the best hot chocolates I've ever had, I would fully recommend the chocolate de la casa, and there's loads of other hot chocolate options too. The crepe with dulce de leche was perfect too and they didn't skimp on the dulce de leche.
Naomi A — Google review
Stopped in for an afternoon coffee. The almond cappuccino was good, albeit a little sweet. They have nice booths and cute swings as chairs for some tables. They don’t have WiFi, but I was there to journal my memories of my trip so far and no WiFi helped me focus.
Cyndee H — Google review
Came here after a long day of exploring the nearby waterfalls. Very comfortable seating. Cute decor. Everything we ordered was delicious. Particularly recommend the meat empanadas and mocaccino.
Bethanie S — Google review
Such a delicious hot chocolate. They prepare hot chocolate from a Pacari chocolate bar of your choice (my favorite - Sal de Cuzco & Nibs). Cozy place and friendly service. Plus they have a wide variety of chocolate and similar products for purchase.
Andrea K — Google review
The breakfast, coffee, juice, hot chocolate, ambiance, friendliness and service is better then first class. My biggest regret is not coming here when I first arrived in Banos. For relatively the same price as anywhere else in the city, you can enjoy the best meal you will have in Ecuador. I will be back for some of delicious chocolate gifts, guaranteed.

If you are looking for a cozy spot to relax and disconnect from the digital world, Aromi Coffee in Baños de Agua Santa is definitely worth checking out. Located near the church, this coffee shop offers a variety of drinks and breakfast options that are sure to satisfy your cravings. While Aromi Coffee does not have wifi, this can actually be a plus for those looking to disconnect and unwind. Instead of being glued to your screen, you can enjoy the charming atmosphere of the coffee shop and maybe even strike up a conversation with fellow patrons. One thing to keep in mind when visiting Aromi Coffee (and Baños de Agua Santa in general) is that they do not accept credit cards or online payments. So be sure to bring cash with you to avoid any inconvenience. Despite this minor inconvenience, Aromi Coffee is definitely worth a visit for its inviting atmosphere and delicious drinks and breakfast options. Whether you're in the mood for a classic latte or something more unique like a lavender latte, they've got you covered. And don't forget to try their tasty breakfast options like avocado toast or huevos rancheros. Overall, Aromi Coffee is a great spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy some delicious coffee and breakfast in Baños de Agua Santa.

Cafe Colibri is a charming breakfast spot in Banos that offers delicious food and exceptional service. Despite its unassuming exterior, the cafe surprises visitors with its fresh and flavorful offerings. The menu features a variety of options including the popular Colibri combo, which includes granola, yogurt, fruit, juice, and hot chocolate made from steamed milk. Guests can also savor the tasty chicken sandwich and perfectly seasoned avocado.
The place is charming, with a lovely garden and a small art gallery. The sandwich was the best I had in a long time, fresh, crispy and rich in flavor. The strawberry pineapple juice was my god ...

This was such a cute place, while we waited for our food we went to explore the art gallery and the patio. The food was decent not extraordinary, on the other hand the service was poor, but I will give it another try.

They made a very good filter coffee during the electricity breakdown. Atmosphere is the best, there's also a nice garden and an art gallery. Highly recommended!

This is the best cafe in baños hands down. After sitting down in an oasis like open air garden, you are encouraged to check out the art gallery upstairs. The owners are extremely kind and treat you like family. And then the food! The pancake breakfast was the largest, freshest, tastiest breakfast I’ve ever had in my life. I can’t say enough about this place. It’s a must visit while in baños.

Amazing food went there for breakfast and dinner/lunch and never got disappointed. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is outstanding not matched by any other cafe and the prices are also reasonable for the amount of food that your getting. I cannot stress this enough but almost a must visit

I’m certain that this is the best breakfast restaurant in Baños! The owners work really hard to provide exceptional service and food. I ate the special breakfast 2 days in a row. The avocado in the sandwich is seasoned perfectly! I have zero complaints.

Chicken Sandwich was super tasty. We got the Colibrí combo for $6. Granola and yogurt in the fruit was good. Juice is tasty and hot chocolate is made from steamed milk. Add your own sugar. The star is the sandwich and egg. Did a return visit. Very consistent. Must visit in Banos. There is nice setting and a gallery above to check out.

They give you a free coffee if you leave a 5 star review, hence the many 5 star reviews. The coffee is black and only one per table though. The food was good but expensive for what it was. A grilled sandwich was $6, it wasn’t grilled it was just warmed. There wasn’t much filling, neither of us were full after it. Not very good value for money- much cheaper and better places in Banos

Kakawa Cafe Baños is a fantastic place to enjoy an incredible cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Their menu features delicious sandwiches and breakfast options that are highly recommended for both morning and midday meals. The cafe has a new location near the park, offering a satisfactory dining experience with particularly outstanding coffee. The atmosphere is delightful and offers a relaxing ambiance, while the service is quick and efficient. The flavors of their offerings are exceptional, making their coffee and hot chocolate truly tasty.
Great experience at Kakawa! We spent two weeks in Baños. We are digital nomads, so when the electricity was cut in the city, we found refuge in Kakawa to get our work done. The staff was extremely friendly and the drinks were fantastic! Great prices too! We recommend everyone.

I am rating this place 5 out of 5 for the simple fact that it is the only place open at 7:00 serving coffee.. and pretty good coffee in my humble opinion. Every other coffee shop opens at 8. For the early birds waking up to do activities in Banos this place is a short walk from the central square and should provide most people with a good tasting coffee to get your day started.
