Really liked it in here... Brewkit on display, alternative vibe, the beers were some of the most interesting I had in Montpellier and overall it was a very good experience.

What a gem! Brilliant selection of brews including IPA, Porters and lagers brewed on the premises. Boho atmosphere, incredible smoking room downstairs, friendly knowledgeable staff who brew the stuff. Situated in an up and coming part of Montpellier. Cannot recommend enough.

Popped in here for some beers whilst waiting for a train. Excellent quality brews in a large variety of styles, and a good vibe in the bar. I even bought a few cold cans to take with me :)

Unfortunately way too expensive for what it is so we stopped going there. A pint of chouffe is way cheaper in the city center and the bottled beers for take out you can get cheaper in other beer shops in the city or even supermarkets. But people are usually nice if they don't keep being busy talking with their favorite people...

Beer! So much beer! Oh, man they have a lot of beer (over 400 different bottled and, by french measures, quite a few taps). There's beer everywhere! It's like that scene from Hitchcock's The Birds except it's beer instead of birds. And not scary. Unless you're scared of beer. Then I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe a nice café or something would suit you better?

Here I had the most expensive beer in my whole life. It was about 12,60 euros for a beer. Despite this, the beer was really great.

Great beer choice & very friendly staff. Gets crowded early, so don't be later than 19h, especially during summer time. Few tables outside, but between two busy roads.

Great find on the outskirts of Montpellier. A craft beer pub & staff who know what they are talking about, albeit in French lol. Knowledge of the language helpful but definitely not essential. Good knowledge of excellent beer also helpful but staff will help you 😁

In the narrow lanes of the old town this is a good find. They make the beer on site (the fermenter / serving tanks behind the bar, brewkit I assume is downstairs) and they're ok to decent. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

If I lived in Montpellier I think I’d spend a lot of time here. Superb beer, friendly atmosphere (was great to chat to the co-founder and try different beers), games and a cafe/bar vibe in stunning surroundings. Lovely place.

On a quiet afternoon this is a top spot. When the crowd picks up it can be quite tight inside. Beer selection is good and the quality is obvious in the taste. Bar staff are excellent with tasters and quick and helpful service. Quite dark inside the vaulted stone ceiling, best free wifi we could find all afternoon.

That was our first time in the Hopulus brewpub, we were passing by and saw the nice simplistic deco with the stone walls and the arches so went in only to discover this cozy little brewpub where the owner brews his own beer and we’ve tasted all of them and they’re delicious especially the triple ambrée à la fève de tonka. Not to forget that the cheese and saussices we had were excellent as well. The staff and the owner are also very welcoming! Recommended for beer lovers

Really cool bar with a decent selection of yummy craft beers. The burgers were lacking the ingredients from the images in the Google pictures and the pommes frites were more like pommes nibs. We left still hungry. It was also cold! But good vibes all around, people studying and playing chess.

Stone built place just into the old lanes of the ancient town which makes it's own beer out the back. Only one was available on my visit but other beers from local brewers made to the numbers nicely. Good staff, relaxed feel, definitely worth a visit.

Best beer bar in Montpellier. Staff is friendly and efficient. Ambiance is relaxing and feels like Northern California pub with homemade beer and specials from local breweries. Every time I come here I feel at home. Come say hi and you with be treated with class and love. Thank you for being a staple of Montpellier!

Always a good choice of canned and bottled beers as well that lets you discover other breweries (local and non-local) The place offers indoor and outdoor seating, has a piano in case you feel like playing, and some games you can borrow to make your evening even more social. Bartenders are great. I went there for twice when I visited to Montpellier. I’m not good customer when I’m drunk but they can managed as well. I’m very appreciated so I choose to visit for second time. Everyone’s excellent, they have like a chess club which is you can join (you have to booked anyway). Great place with very affordable drinks and a young, lively atmosphere. The Tinto de Verano was really good! We were lucky to get a small table outside right away. It was completely packed.

Been a few times. Very popular and welcoming cafe just opposite of the botanical garden. Food was pretty standard. Some dishes were quite trendy. They had some special drinks. The overall experience was elevated by the beautiful view.

Have two excellent burgers here. I like the outdoor seating opposite the gardens. Plenty of shade when it gets hot. Not far from cathedral.

Beautiful terrace, good food and drinks. The terrace is in the sun in the afternoon, which can get hot, at night it looks amazing with the lights. There is not traffic except for the tram, so it's nice and calm.

Broc Café is great! I like the food, the beer and the atmosphere. It is always packed with people (and so it is loud) but somehow they still find a couple more places for you. Even with so many people, drinks and food arrive quickly. I think they really figured out how to run a bar with this big a capacity. The waiters, bartenders, cooks work really hard, yet everyone is friendly and attentive. Respect! For context: I spent about two weeks in Montpellier on a business trip. After I discovered this place, I made it part of my daily routine to come here and at least have a beer in the evening. I sampled much of their menu outside of appetizers and desserts. Found everything tasty! Will for sure come here again when I'm in Montpellier.

Lively sidewalk place with a cafe-bistro menu, various beers and cocktails at an attractive price point. We never got inside so can't tell what's there but the sidewalk section easily seats 75 people. Efficient waiters keep the experience running at a decent pace. Menu is simple burgers and few modernist takes on poke bowl, tartar etc little fish though so craving seafood go elsewhere. Up for very casual, social cafe eating for reasonable money, come here

Fantastic location, amazing atmosphere, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Our French was not very good, and they spoke and helped us out with the menu in English, much appreciated. Oh and their Camembert Rôti is to die for!

Looking for a British pub to show the Euro 2024 football. Excellent bar, very cosy, great service and super friendly staff. Great ambience and good TV's all around the bar to ensure you can get a view no matter where you are sat. Good selection of beer too.

It's a regular pub, nothing special in my opinion. I still give 4 stars for the rapid and nice service. The menus should be renewed soonish, because most of the beers are crossed out and not available anymore. So the best is, if you just asked, what's offered at the moment ☺️

Located just at the center, this place is quite famous among youngsters. It usually loud due to music but sitting area is divided into two places one is louder than other so you can choose where to sit. Good choices of beers.

One of the best bars in Montpellier ! Near to the train station, perfect for a welcoming beer or a last pint before leaving the city. Close to La Comédie. An excellent choice if you are in the party area.

What a great place this is! Totally worth the trek out there on the tram / bus then a quick walk. Three breweries live here and make very different beer ranges, some normal and some sour, with the huge list on tap there's definitely one for anyone! The bar staff were really friendly and helpful, good to great beers, 5 glass taster sets and a big outside area for when it's warm, if you're in Montpellier and like craft beer then you have to come here.

A lots of craft beer taps (20!!!) which you will be orientated by the lovely staff if you don’t know what to chose! Having the opportunity to sit inside or outside on the big terrace is definitely a plus for the afterwork beer in summer! Shout out to Rémi and Elliot for being so awesome ;-)

An unintentional visit on a Saturday night while looking for a place to have some food with friends and we actually stumbled into the wrong restaurant..long story, anyway... and yes we were pleasantly surprised by the selection of foods and wines. We picked a bottle (2) of the Pic saint-loup red and it was a very good choice. The food was tasty and serving sizes were quite large and the staff were very friendly and cordial. A fun place to enjoy a drink with friends at the sport bar section and there is a restaurant inside apparently 😊

Despite a not very promising exterior, the restaurant is very cozy. Food and service are both great, places were found for 5 adults and 3 children at very short notice.

Good place to eat smoked meat and drink crafted beer. The meat is really good and the service was very kind with us. Maybe the sides are not at the same level of meat, with the exemption the beans and coleslaw were very good.

We showed up at 6:45 without a reservation and the girls there were rad enough to sort us out. Just asked us to come back when they were open and leave before 9:00. The beef ribs were awesome and the venue was fantastic. 169% recommend this place. Reasonable prices too.

Had smoked salmon + pickles starter, smoked beef long rib, coleslaw and a bottle of local red wine and bread. Was fantastic.... Slaw and pickles all homemade, see pictures. Ribs is the only thing that maje this experience American.... 🇫🇷

Great place for beer. Excellent service (we had Hillary, according to the receipt) and for a beer-fan as myself, it's a nice touch that they have separate glasses and coasters for all the breweries they have. So when you order a certain beer, you get matching glass and coaster. And on your next order, the matching continues... :-) Recomended! :-)

I really love this place! The service is simply amazing, attentive and quick. The beer selection is wide (except they could add some more internationality, since most of the beers are Belgian - still good choices!!). The seasonal beers are mostly excellent too and the staff can advise properly to your taste. For the non beer lovers, there are spirits, cocktails and softs as well. And if you feel a little hunger you can order some snacks too. Just try it out and you will probably love it too :)

Trendy dark beer bar with some very kind and friendly waiters or one-shot-seller waiters that make you discover double-priced beers without mentioning the price. Beers are from an independant Belgium supplier. Some are classic but most have flavours. High counter tables are comfortable whereas small tables at the back of the room are small and seats are rough.

Do not come here as a tourist. As soon as they hear a non French word spoken they try to screw you over. That I could live with, if the food would be good. It is not. The fries were the best thing, that says a lot…. And if you send the horrible food back, they charge you for it anyway. And when you complain they shout at you and threaten to call the police. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

One of our favorite places in Montpellier. Vegetarians and vegans, the Mediterranean salad can be served without meat or cheese. Very good and reasonably priced selection of local wines. Try the evening tapas, if you can, there is something for everyone.

Great location, good music and even made me reconsider going back eating meat with them chicken tenders but they have great vegan burgers also. Great place all together one of the best.

I ordered a vegetarian burger and they brought me real chicken which I realised only after eating some. They refunded me and apologised, but this was the first meat I ever ate in my life so I’m pretty upset about it.

What a beautiful place to eat and drink right in the hearth of the shopping centre . We had a fantastic dinner at this place and food and service was top notch ! The place is right at the front of commercial centre you can watch all the people walking by . They have wide variety of food and lots of vegetarian options available with kids menu (hard to find this two together ) The staff were extremely helpful and quite competent English speakers . The best thing was these guys brew their own beeer and it tasted yummy. Shame I had to drive otherwise I could have drank gallons of their Blonde beer ! I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area and looking for quick bite to eat some pub grubs !

Solid brew pub. Has a bit of a chain like feel which I do not enjoy. But the beers are fairly good and the menu has a good amount of choice without being overwhelming. Food was not great, but good. Probably could have 4 stars, but on this particular busy Saturday night the poor wait staff and kitchen were overwhelmed. They were working incredibly hard (so not their fault) rather management needs to make some changes and/or put on more staff.

Visited in August 2023. The restaurant has a range of different beers, they also offer beer of the month which changes regularly. Since the place is just between à tram stop and à huge shopping centre it can be difficult to find a table at lunch time. The thing I loved the best here is Flammekueche (tarte flambée) which is à little bit similar to pizza but has its unique characteristics.

We visited to drink something, we were waiting to get a waiter so we could order. But when we saw the employees walking around we noticed that it was just like they didn't want to do their jobs, and some waiters just kept walking past us not even looking at us. When we asked if we could get a waiter a girl said "That's not my work" and she looked really annoyed. When we asked someone else who was serving the same question he just walked past us and completely ignored us. That was it after waiting 10 minutes we just left. This is not how u treat your customers!

This is the place if you love freshly-brewed beer. Food is pretty decent too. But it takes unreasonably long for the orders to arrive. It takes forever actually.

Never expected to have such a great Irish pub experience in the middle of France. I learned more about Beer in 20 minutes than i thought possible. Once inside it’s as if you stepped into a pub in the middle of Ireland, a very authentic place. The Barman was very friendly and incredibly informative about all things Pub related Bravo! So me and My Fiancee were in the South of France and we were staying in Bezier from our home in Manchester, England were and decided to get a train over to Montpellier and saw there was an Irish Pub when we got off the Train So headed in for an Aperol Spritz And a Nice cold pint of Kilkenny. Great setting, Great pub, Great atmosphere, Great Craic and a fantastic 🍺 🍻. 5☆ We Highly Recommend.

Not recommended. Chairs should have been repaired months ago. Flies were constantly hovering above drinks and the room we were in had obvious mould stains on the walls and ceiling. Played one savagely beat-up game here, had a beer and left. Games are in mostly poor shape and the rooms are claustrophobic. Staff don't seem to care what kind of experience you have here. Beer was flat and stale.

A solid board game bar. They’ve got a good selection of games that you can find all over the place. The inside is quite spacious but some of the couches can be a little uncomfortable. The bar’s pretty standard but does the job. It’s a good setting for a game night with friends.

Excellent bar with hundreds of different game choices. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help you choose a game(s) which fit your party's needs. The cocktails, while slightly on the more expensive side (but still reasonable prices considering the games you play are free!), are delicious and are changed every few months by the bartenders. I would highly recommend this spot, and also recommend you come early enough to ensure you get a table on the weekend!

Great place to go with some friends, the access to games is free. You only pay for your drink, which is not always the case in others places similar to this one. I really like the vibe, the staff is cool, and every friday night there is a free loup garou game with anyone that's willing to join. The place closes at 1 AM which is nice because you don't have to leave in a rush. People there are friendly. I recommend it !

We were in Montpellier for two weeks due to a conference and this became our go-to spot for drinks at night. First time trying espresso martinis (and other local specialties too!) and at one point, the rest of our conference followed us (really sorry for bringing everyone here, wasn’t on purpose)! Some of the servers were very nice and patient, but a few were quite rude to us (mind you, 90% of us spoke French) even when we were just 3-5 people, you’d think we were in Paris. Nice memories, wonderful drinks, will definitely be back here. ;)
