Fantastic cocktails in a cool bar in Montpellier beaux arts area. Unassuming entrance but cool inside. Cocktails are not cheap (from 14 euros up to 25) but worth it for a treat. The waiters are trained in ice sculpture, cocktails are presented lit up. Apparently one of the top 80 bars in the world! Food looked good (Thai style) but didn't eat.

My favourite restaurant and bar in Montpellier. The cocktails were very innovative and unique and the dumplings were surprisingly, authentic and delicious. They have a vegan dumpling with a spinach green wrapping topped with a lotus chip and that stuff was like crack cocaine to me. The interiors and decor was stunning and quite up market - it's very unexpected as the bar is located on an unassuming residential street. It was almost like I entered a underground bar in Shanghai. My friends and I went here regularly during our year on exchange and quite frankly, I'd go every weekend if my bank account allowed.

Friendly personnel, beautiful bar, english speaking bartenders, we tried a lot of food, everything was delicious, nice presentation of coctails, waitress Martina was the best, very helpful and kind. It was very special night for us ✌️

Nice place and vibe; loved the fact that the public was of all age! But the DJs downstairs forgot that their job is to make the public dance; rhythmic transitions were not great and they would take some very personal musical journeys while people would stop dancing. Upstairs though great music but volume too low and small space. Please move the DJ upstairs to the big room downstairs 🙏🏾

Outrageously racist door policy - was in the line twice in ten minutes, and practically all the non-white people were filtered out and weren’t allowed to enter the club. Decided not to go in in the end, which is a shame because I had good memories of the place. They should seriously look at their door policy.

Looking for a British pub to show the Euro 2024 football. Excellent bar, very cosy, great service and super friendly staff. Great ambience and good TV's all around the bar to ensure you can get a view no matter where you are sat. Good selection of beer too.

We finished our evening in Montpellier here. We didn’t had food. The four cocktails we had were good, however when asking to show me the bottle of olive gin they were suppose to use, they couldn’t. I felt cheated!

Their cocktail program is quality, even if not particularly creative. And the accompanying food and dessert is wonderful. I particularly recommend the chocolate mousse with marmalade. The decor is fantastic. Stylish and we'll coordinated. And the staff was great.

An unintentional visit on a Saturday night while looking for a place to have some food with friends and we actually stumbled into the wrong restaurant..long story, anyway... and yes we were pleasantly surprised by the selection of foods and wines. We picked a bottle (2) of the Pic saint-loup red and it was a very good choice. The food was tasty and serving sizes were quite large and the staff were very friendly and cordial. A fun place to enjoy a drink with friends at the sport bar section and there is a restaurant inside apparently 😊

Despite a not very promising exterior, the restaurant is very cozy. Food and service are both great, places were found for 5 adults and 3 children at very short notice.

Went there on a Thursday evening. The place's got a very nice sort of pirate theme. It got packed with mostly 18-20 year olds but we had a good time. The music was fun. I didn't like their cocktail du moment, though... It was too sweet, tasted like a wrong juice

One of my favourite bars to go to. It’s got such a good collection of rum and rum cocktails that you really can’t go wrong. There’s some terrace tables and inside seating. To be honest we love sitting at the bar in here, it’s just an overall great place to be.

Fancied a cocktail and this looked good in google reviews. I didn’t go inside but sat outside in quieter street than the hub of Montpellier, even though it is only a few minutes away. My waiter was very helpful and chatty and helped me choose a cocktail. It was a summer version of the Negroni. It was nice and refreshing but didn’t have quite the punch of a normal version which is my favorite. It did come with its own light coaster which was super cool and they was a free dish of delicious local olives too! For a cocktail bar there wasn’t too much choice but still had a wide of drinks to choose from.

Very warm and welcoming staff, well educated and open. They know their stuff when it comes to alcohol and music since they have a cocktail named after Arctic Monkeys. Best bar in town!!!

Found this by chance when visiting Montpellier. My wife and I enjoyed some very nice unusual cocktails and some well presented food which we very much enjoyed. We were made to feel welcome by all members of staff and the bar has a nice ambiance to it. We would recommend this to others for a pleasant experience.

A Place to stay! The best Drinks and also very good Food!

Got a boulevardier, which was off menu. Was good and service was stellar too.

Been there a few times, cocktails are very good but it takes quite some time to get served every time(drinks and food), which is a shame. I don't think I'll be coming back there though because the last time I went there, I've realised I payed much more (probably an other table's bill?) than what we ordered. It's not entirely their fault (I should have double checked the bill) but this adds up and makes me go to some other places.

Absolutely massive! The gallery just kept on going, hall after hall of impressive, historic art. Well presented, if not a little confusingly organised, the paintings and sculptures were nicely grouped together, but the halls didn’t really flow one into another and one can find themself getting a little lost. That said it’s very affordable and they have some highly coveted artists work, like Monet and Van Gogh. Overall, a great way to spend a couple of hours, just make sure you set aside 2/3 hours to fully cover it.

Established in 1828 by Francois Xavier Fabre. There are sculptures and a large collection of paintings including Rubens, Fabre, Degas, Delacroix and many by Gustav Courbet(15). This is a huge museum needing a minimum of 2-3 hours. It is a must see in Montpelier if you have time. It’s 5 minute from Place de Comedie.

Beautiful artwork and space. A shame recent renovations haven't included better/clearer/easier to read labels next to each painting. Multiple fonts and way too small to read. The museum has lockers for your belongings and toilets downstairs.

really nice collection! it’s full of masterpieces and therefore the price of the ticket is really worth it. the only reason why i can’t give 5 stars it’s because of the security staff (only at the entrance). they are mean, arrogant and treated us like terrorists because of my boyfriend was wearing a backpack. they didn’t even respond when we greet them while we were leaving. truly disrespectful.

Visiting this museum is a must do, while being in Montpeiller. Beside breathtaking collections of paintings you can also learn about the history of art in the city.

We visited on a free day (the first Sunday of the month), and spent more than 2.5 hours here. You could easily spend more time. They check your bags and person when you enter, and you cannot bring in any food or drink. The collection is amazing, with a staggering amount of artworks. The contemporary art was lost on us, but we loved the old collections. There are lots of places to sit down throughout, as well as portable chairs available to move about with. Free postcards throughout the exhibits. It seemed to be wheelchair accessible and very family friendly. There are lockers inside, not sure if they have a cost. Definitely recommend a visit!

Our meal was so enjoyable! This was our first Michelin experience and it was a blast! The atmosphere is very upscale, yet casual. You receive many appetizers before your selected course offerings begin. The entire meal was fantastic, but one of my favorites was an appetizer of a little cone with sardine and one kettle popcorn piece. It was so delicious and surprising! I would consider myself a very plain person in diet (typical American, ketchup kind of gal) so it was exciting to taste all new things and I told myself to just dive in & it was worth it. We chose the 8 course and it was very plentiful. The chef provided 2 surprise courses and one was my favorite of the meal portion, a little stew cup layering black truffle, stew jus with light potato layer. I’ve NEVER eaten octopus in my life, yet enjoyed one of the courses where it’s embedded. It’s very much worth the experience. The service is phenomenal, you’ll never have a need they don’t anticipate. The desserts are too good at the end.

An exceptional time. We went for the 6 course dinner after reading reviews and were glad we did. The amuse bouche and two compliments of the chef left us utterly full and delighted. Of the 1 & 2 Michelin stars meals we’ve had, Jardin Des Sens ties for the first among them. The seafood items were sensational. The staff was more personable which we appreciated too.

Beautiful restaurant situated in one of the best neighborhoods of Montreal. My partner and I came one rainy evening and tried the Escapade menu and were quite full afterwards. Our favorite part of the meal was the amuze bouche and dessert / coffee. Bread and butter were also fantastic. I am docking one star because food was beautifully executed but certain dishes combinations were a bit confusing at least from my perspective and weren’t the most tasty (again, personal preference). Nonetheless, I would recommend this spot for a special occasion or celebration but am not in a rush to return from my end. The restaurant was accommodating to my dietary restrictions, and that was much appreciated. Service was polite and professional, and the staff was fluent in English which was very helpful.

My wife and I came here for an anniversary dinner. This was a truly memorable experience! We both had multi-course tasting dinners, though slightly different. The courses were inventive, colourful, well-paced and tasted fantastic. All the staff were incredible, friendly and perfectly able to switch into English when I reached the limits of my French. The wine steward was so helpful, steering us to a perfect wine and not the most expensive. We would recommend Jardin Des Sens without hesitation.

Jardin Des Sans was the best meal of our trip in France and one of the two best meals of my life. My awesome wife found and booked it at the last minute and they were great about fitting us in. The staff was professional but not too stiff - everyone was very friendly. The chef's bread was... wow. Just wow. There was not a single dish that we did not like, and in between dishes we were admiring the beautiful frescos on the walls and ceiling. Thank you to the chef and team at Jardin Des Sans for a lovely night we will always remember.

Le quatrieme tiers is a new bar in town and it was recommended to us by Bonsoir - a very cool bar as well - so we saddled up and went to give it a try on Saturday… here’s the breakdown: staff are amazingly friendly and welcoming, decor and ambiance and the place overall are pretty fantastic, almost like you’ve sketched a kitchen from a cottage and decided to make it a bar! Brilliant!! They also have a more intimate setup downstairs which is very cool… However the old fashioned needed a bit of work and the bathroom is not for clostrophobes as it’s dangerously tiny but it’s a cool place all in all. Give it a shot

I can't give them less than five stars because: • their gins are amazing, well prepared and not too expensive • the barman was extremely kind, letting us feeling more than welcome • the tapas are soooo good: we had a mozzarella di bufala and a stracciatella, both were delicious. The owner, which is half Italian, told us they weekly import cheese and hams from Naples • the ambient was relaxing: low lights, enough space for everyone and not pumped music, so we can talk instead of screaming + Bonus: I also found in their small library, by chance, the Spritz book where I'm mentioned as spritz expert. It has been the "ciliegina sulla torta".

Very good bar specialised in Gin cocktails. The delicatessen is very good, especially the Jambon Sec, never tasted one that is that good. Staff is friendly, welcoming and kind. Prices are reasonable, about 20 euros per persons counting food and cocktail. You have to try it out!

You cannot find a better place in Montpellier to enjoy good gin. Mathieu and Eric, together with the whole team are very skilled (real experts!) and will find the perfect drink for you! And if you think you don't like gin, it's just because you haven't been there yet. Foodwise - The stracciatella di buffala - Oh man. Marina also makes the best tuna spread ;). I left Montpellier but it's still my QG when I go "home".

The gin they use in most, if not all, of their cocktails is a top-tier gin from Bordeaux. The drinks were really well done. The gin selection is really well curated. I will be back whenever I am in Montpelier.

Really great, fantastic cocktail and not overpriced. Got a "cocktail creation" for 10€ during happy hour. Got asked what our taste was and got speciallly made surprise custom cocktails where we got to guess the ingredients which was really fun. Tasted great too :)

Fantastic place and very busy, it’s gives you a lovely atmosphere of the location and town A very busy hub with a large amount of restaurants and food places. We went on a Sunday evening which was still very busy but a lot of places where closing for the end of the day around 10pm so something to bear in mind.

Place de la Comédie is the beating heart of Montpellier. The square is surrounded by historic buildings, with the Opéra Comédie and the Three Graces fountain as focal points. Always full of energy, from morning coffee crowds to evening strolls, and well-connected with the city’s tram lines. A perfect place to start exploring the old town or just to sit and people-watch.

A very lively part ot Montpellier at all time, with excellent buskers near the fountain, just next to large outside seatings of fancy hidtoric cafés and Restaurants. The very diverse crowd passing by in all sort of transport device is a treat. It is worth stopping, and watching the never ending flow.

Please like and follow You can get to La Place de la comedie via tramway, which i highly recommend. Driving here is very challenging for visitors. Beautiful buildings, many restaurants and cafes that you can choose from.

Never expected to have such a great Irish pub experience in the middle of France. I learned more about Beer in 20 minutes than i thought possible. So me and My Fiancee were in the South of France and we were staying in Bezier from our home in Manchester, England were and decided to get a train over to Montpellier and saw there was an Irish Pub when we got off the Train So headed in for an Aperol Spritz And a Nice cold pint of Kilkenny. Great setting, Great pub, Great atmosphere, Great Craic and a fantastic 🍺 🍻. 5☆ We Highly Recommend.

Three years later, and DJ Cyril is still out here holding the decks hostage. Like, how? This guy’s been playing the same tracks so long I’m starting to think he invented them. Zero vibe, zero innovation—just Cyril, giving us the musical equivalent of plain toast every weekend. As a German, this is borderline illegal in my book. Underground clubs are supposed to be temples of fresh talent, not retirement homes for DJs stuck in 2015. Please, I’m begging you—if you want exciting, young artists to breathe life into the place, let me know. Cyril needs a break, and honestly, so do we!

Very good experience, all the staff were very friendly. The place is not very big, but the sound is pretty good. You can choose between two different type of techno ( more or less intense). The vibe is relaxe and friendly easy too talk with everyone and most of the people, who come there love techno and are there for that. I recommend it, if you want a nice and dancing night. 🕺

I see the need to make a new review... after having qualified this club 5 stars and having gone 2 times alone other opportunities (always Saturday), last Saturday I was refused entry. I understand wanting to let more people in, but being a TECHNO club, a LOT of people go alone all over the world to these clubs... it's a bit ridiculous not to let a person in because they go alone, it's not a Commercial Music Club, and so many people go for the MUSIC, I can understand if maybe someone goes drunk, into drugs from the start or it's just not the vibe for the club like it happens in other techno clubs. This is a reason to no allow let in. I asked the bouncer why… he told me “cause you’re alone, let me work” in a no respectful manner (all this in English). You have to pay a little attention to this, because you are a small club but with a good system sound that it deserves! Change the security, you have a lot of bad reviews just for this. And you don't deserve it!

The music is a mediocre spotify playlist. People are using their phones instead of dancing. You will spend your time fighting for your space instead of being able to dance. There is no proper smoking area. 15 Euro is absurd.

Best techno club in Montpellier. For a very low price you get to experience a set of very talented artists that could easily set the ticket price much higher. Once had a problem with security because they wouldn't let me in without a girl. My recommendation is to go to a set from an artist Tetris

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If I could give 6 stars, I would!) I genuinely don’t understand how L’Arbre doesn’t already have a Michelin star — it absolutely deserves one. The entire experience was flawless. The chef himself is present throughout the evening, caring and passionate, personally explaining the menu. The staff is equally attentive and warm, making you feel truly welcomed. Every dish was a highlight: the Angus beef was a delicacy, perfectly cooked; even the simple salad and fries were elevated to something exceptional. The filet of turbot was sublime, especially with its rich and flavorful sauce. And the desserts… works of art. The fraisier was unbelievably light, and for chocolate lovers, the royal is next level. A special mention for the kindness of the team: I mistakenly booked for the next day, but the chef didn’t say a word — he just quietly found us a table. I only realized the error later when I got a confirmation message for the following night. Truly an unforgettable dining experience. Bravo to the whole team!

Mixed feelings: 5/5 for the cocktails, 3/5 for the tapas. + the place looks very nice + they organize parties and people are dancing latino music + the cocktails are amazing! They offer a big variety, from classics to their own recipes. I definitely recommend the one called hasta siempre 🍸❤️ - the tapas are average I would say. We took many things from the menu, but we only liked 2 of them: the nachos and the tomato bruschetta. I would certainly return here for the drinks and the great atmosphere, but I would have dinner at a different restaurant.

Beautiful restaurant set in a lovely square with plenty of outdoor seating. The service was perfect. I needed help with gluten free food and an allergen menu was brought out highlighting all foods and which allergens they contained. Felt very confident and safe eating there and the food was truly beautiful! (Who knew aubergines covered in walnuts and honey could taste that good?!) They also purchase their wine from small, local suppliers, and the one I was recommended after describing what I liked was beautiful. Perfect evening, great atmosphere, definitely put it on your list to visit! Thank you for a lovely first evening of our holiday.

This restaurant had an amazing ambience. I loved the cocktails they served. They add 7 year old Rum with exotic fruit punches to their cocktails. It was just mind-blowing. Drinks were more on the expensive side. If you ever go to Montpellier do visit this restaurant. Food on the other hand was okayish. I had ordered chilli con carne and fajita, both of them were quite salty. Quesadillas were really good. The plating was aesthetically pleasing. But if you plan on having a full course meal then this restaurant is not suitable for that purpose.

Food was good, sadly they didn't have a French dish we were hoping to try. The outside is nice to people watch nice square and the inside is beautiful. They have a big menu and most could find something they. We had camembert focaccia (didn't love it but now I know I just don't like that cheese), the potatoes bravas weren't what we expected but delicious, cod rice dish and the butternut squash soup. Both pleasant surprises!

I went here twice in a row. First i had iced coffee and it was so good that I went back the next day. I was worried about having food there because of the poor rating but the food was as good as the coffee. And the cool mist is amazing on a typical hot day in Montpellier. Clement took care of us both days and he was awesome, so nice and smiley unlike other French waiters. Clean bathroom is another bonus. I highly recommend this place!

Great place with very affordable drinks and a young, lively atmosphere. The Tinto de Verano was really good! We were lucky to get a small table outside right away. It was completely packed.

Myself and my better half lived in Montpellier over the summer of 2023, and this was absolute favourite pub in the city. Amazing music (if you’re into Rock & Metal, and especially Faith No More!), great beer selection, nice regulars with a cool atmosphere, and extremely cool and welcoming bartenders and worker. Hope to meet Neil again some day, what a dude. Neil, reply to this if you ever find yourself making plans to go to Ireland again :)

Extremely nice and (beer) knowledgeable staff, speaks fluently French and English. A lot of draft beer choice with local and international beers, that they even make you try id you ask nicely. Above that, they have a huge choice of bottled beer as well, some for special prices (promo) Seating is possible outside in the sunshine or inside as well of course :)

I've been a few times and I like the music most here, danceable stuff. The barmen joke around and the bouncers took care of my friend when she was unwell. Free entry for women on weekdays and 12€ otherwise (men and women). Would recommend!

Not recommended. Chairs should have been repaired months ago. Flies were constantly hovering above drinks and the room we were in had obvious mould stains on the walls and ceiling. Played one savagely beat-up game here, had a beer and left. Games are in mostly poor shape and the rooms are claustrophobic. Staff don't seem to care what kind of experience you have here. Beer was flat and stale.

A solid board game bar. They’ve got a good selection of games that you can find all over the place. The inside is quite spacious but some of the couches can be a little uncomfortable. The bar’s pretty standard but does the job. It’s a good setting for a game night with friends.

Excellent bar with hundreds of different game choices. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help you choose a game(s) which fit your party's needs. The cocktails, while slightly on the more expensive side (but still reasonable prices considering the games you play are free!), are delicious and are changed every few months by the bartenders. I would highly recommend this spot, and also recommend you come early enough to ensure you get a table on the weekend!

Great place to go with some friends, the access to games is free. You only pay for your drink, which is not always the case in others places similar to this one. I really like the vibe, the staff is cool, and every friday night there is a free loup garou game with anyone that's willing to join. The place closes at 1 AM which is nice because you don't have to leave in a rush. People there are friendly. I recommend it !

Excellent atmosphere for playing the games they have on hand. I'm told they have over a thousand. They also serve beer in liters here, something kind of rare in France. So, if you're looking for a place to play games, this is the place, and now the bartender will know what you mean, if you order, "eine Mass."

I just dropped into this place, and decided to have a traditional French dish - chips and guacamole!!! But, they put such care into making these, I asked the server to compliment the chef - they would have been lavish in San Diego! They have a decent "vin ordinaire" and while the wait staff is insanely busy, I felt very well attended. So, out of my four nights in Montpellier, I chose to go back there again! This time, roasted cheese with honey, and a plate of sausage - but with their additions of bread and tomatoes and cornichons and walnuts and croutons - I had a wonderful feast!! I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be returning!

One for the coolest bar in town in my opinion, there are always hella people but never too much ! Dimitri and Mateus were super friendly and hospitable. The live music was awesome and great beats to dance to. We went two nights in a row as it was the best place to have a few drinks, listen to tunes, and share friendly banter with the locals while playing pool.

So, I had a blast! The beer was cold and I made friends with the people on my left and my right. But... I went there because they supposedly closed at 2h/2am, but they closed at 0h30/1230am. That's lame as hell. It's Friday night and I could have used that extra hour and a half. Other places said 1h/1am. Don't say one thing and mean another. That said, I'll probably be back tomorrow, hopefully at my same seat at the bar.

Stone built place just into the old lanes of the ancient town which makes it's own beer out the back. Only one was available on my visit but other beers from local brewers made to the numbers nicely. Good staff, relaxed feel, definitely worth a visit.

The worst experience in a bar in Montpellier We went there to get some shots of tequila, and after paying the barman said that another clients Didn't pay to him and with this payment his account was balanced and if we want our shots we have to go and search another person's in a closer bar and ask them to pay. (Persons that we didn't know and persons that left before we asked or paid our shots) Ahaha, yes, has you heard! It sounds ilogic, i know. And it was totally ilogic for us also. I have worked in a bar, and we know that they have to pay before the shots and beer before or at the moment that you give them. Maybe the barman didn't know how to do his job because he was new, but it was the worst experience in a bar en Montpellier

Wow, what a beautiful and authentic restaurant. I felt really welcome, even though I'm a very picky eater. The waiter took his time to explain all the dishes and was super friendly. Such a calm and nice team. They didn't rush and had a lot of passion for what they were doing - also the chefs. The food wasn't my cup of tea (I had fried artichokes and chips and I don't like fried food. It was completely my fault!), but the team wanted to make sure I left the restaurant with a good feeling and a smile. I have never had such a good experience in France. Server was super nice and fun. One of the dishes (the egg with mushrooms) was fantastic. Other dishes were just ok, most being under seasoned, the shrimp were overcooked, cheese plate was just one kind of cheese (?). But the real problem is the "tapas style" menu. We ordered 3 dishes each and it wasn't too much, but the bill (for 2 people) was about 130 euros.

We had a wonderful meal here this evening. The waiter that served us was friendly, and attentive, he gave us advice on what food he recommended and the best wine based on what we desired. The food itself was amazing, flavorsome, delicious, every dish we ordered was good. Highly recommend.

The bread with it could have been warmed but yet the quality was at the top. Last, wine: price more then reasonable, selection will keep you curious to try new grapes varieties. 1 point, after switching to a different wine by glass (from Sauvignon to Macabeu) , my original glass could have been changed. Well done and hope to be back soon.

We had the artichokes, fries, caviar de tomate, camembert and salad and loved all of it so much. Atmosphere is super cute with plenty of indoor and outdoor dining space. Everything was delicious but the stars in my opinion were the 2nd main (veal 2 ways, which had a sauce that I literally just wanted to eat by the spoonful. It reminded me a bit of a mole, it had chocolate and coffee notes for sure) and the dessert (apricot cake, ice cream, panacotta and various creams and sauces). I didn't do the full wines, because I still had things to do that day, but the staff did recommend a lovely local white that was just my taste. As a lady dining alone, I found the staff to be very accommodating and thoughtful. A really great experience, you should for sure go for it.

The whole experience was simply sublime with surprising sensations and tastes that at odd times during the meal sneaked up from left field to slap me in the face and call me a cuckoo. The first bread serving was reminiscent of traditional village made bread from somewhere in the mountains and announced the start of a yet lingering the day after exquisite experience. The 5 courses that came afterwards paired with the proper wines sauntered between sea, forest and farm in a ballade that continued to put silent smiles on the faces of those around the table and an immediate outburst of impressions and wild jabs at trying to guess the ingredients. I could go on but this is one to be experienced personally and severally.
