Step into Le Parfum, a cocktail bar that transports you to an exotic realm with its meticulously crafted decor inspired by Asian aesthetics. The dimly lit ambiance creates an intimate setting, perfect for sharing sweet nothings over exceptional cocktails that boast surprising aesthetics and adventurous flavors. Pair your drinks with delightful dim sum—steamed Chinese bites bursting with flavor.
Simply incredible cocktails. I particularly liked the namesake Parfum, but my party tried eight different ones between us, and they were all great!

Many tasty and generous cocktails, good food and nice staff. The only downside are prices (around 20€ for a cocktail)
Berenika W — Google review
I recommend this place as it is an amazing experience and it has a different flavour. Asian fusion food with beautiful cocktails. The DJ was great and the service was excellent. Please try the Bao! 🤩
Dalal B — Google review
So professional and chic place. A bit over priced but they get paid for premium service. If you are able to pay 15-20 euros for the drink (if you see how they do the cocktail at the bar it is worth it.. it is an art), you gonna love it. Fpr the special night or date, so recommendable.
Derek K — Google review
Fantastic cocktails in a cool bar in Montpellier beaux arts area. Unassuming entrance but cool inside. Cocktails are not cheap (from 14 euros up to 25) but worth it for a treat. The waiters are trained in ice sculpture, cocktails are presented lit up. Apparently one of the top 80 bars in the world! Food looked good (Thai style) but didn't eat.
Matthew L — Google review
My favourite restaurant and bar in Montpellier. The cocktails were very innovative and unique and the dumplings were surprisingly, authentic and delicious. They have a vegan dumpling with a spinach green wrapping topped with a lotus chip and that stuff was like crack cocaine to me. The interiors and decor was stunning and quite up market - it's very unexpected as the bar is located on an unassuming residential street. It was almost like I entered a underground bar in Shanghai. My friends and I went here regularly during our year on exchange and quite frankly, I'd go every weekend if my bank account allowed.
Sharon J — Google review
Friendly personnel, beautiful bar, english speaking bartenders, we tried a lot of food, everything was delicious, nice presentation of coctails, waitress Martina was the best, very helpful and kind. It was very special night for us ✌️

Ambiance cosy/ chic / raffinée...en dehors du " Manager ?" Un peu vulgaire qui fait un peu trop le show et dénote avec l'endroit.... Dommage. amazing cocktail bar. more than an cocktail, it is a real experience to have a drink in Le Parfum. flavors are amazing, ingredients also, so are the ICE SCULPTOR !! make sure to sit in front of the bar to see the very thorough job for each cocktail and the piece of art brought to life !

(Translated by Google) A truly pleasant place, accessible even if you're not a hotel guest. Open all day (despite what Google Maps indicates), with cocktails only available in the evening. Ideal for working: a calm, quiet atmosphere and excellent background music. A variety of spaces (tables, chairs, outlets, benches) cater to all needs. The semi-circular room offers privacy and doesn't feel crowded. Very well air-conditioned (bring a sweater if you're sensitive to the cold). The service is discreet: they rarely take orders at the table, so it's better to go directly to the central bar for quick service. This isn't a bad thing, as the waiters don't rush you, and you can stay all day without any problems. Outside, there's a terrace with misters and sofas, perfect for relaxing. Lovely staff, delicious drinks and food at reasonable prices. Special mention goes to the spacious, spotless restrooms with thyme exfoliating soap!

(Translated by Google) The service is top notch, the cocktails are delicious, and the servers are very patient and attentive to customers. A very nice experience thanks to the discovery of new cocktails, new flavors, and a waitress who took the time to explain the cocktail compositions to us in great detail, you could see that she was passionate.

Rockstore is a renowned rock club in Montpellier, popular among locals and exchange students from the city's famous universities. It hosts live gigs by local and international bands, tribute acts, and DJ sets. Situated behind the central station Saint-Roch, it serves as a discotheque, concert hall, club, and bar all in one. The venue attracts a lively crowd for events like Erasmus student nights, tea parties, and happy hours.
Excellent experience from start to finish. I really appreciated that they had two different types of music on two different dance floors. I enjoyed the rock and roll!
Jess — Google review
Nice place and vibe; loved the fact that the public was of all age! But the DJs downstairs forgot that their job is to make the public dance; rhythmic transitions were not great and they would take some very personal musical journeys while people would stop dancing. Upstairs though great music but volume too low and small space. Please move the DJ upstairs to the big room downstairs 🙏🏾
FKT1 — Google review
It was very full but we were still allowed in. Music was not my taste but all in all a easy nightclub
Yannick T — Google review
A nice place with live music. Drinks are a bit pricey though.

Don’t go to this place. Thursday night we have a ticket for a concert, everything was ok. Friday night they ask me if I have a girl with me to enter .. hahahaha
Aris P — Google review
Outrageously racist door policy - was in the line twice in ten minutes, and practically all the non-white people were filtered out and weren’t allowed to enter the club. Decided not to go in in the end, which is a shame because I had good memories of the place. They should seriously look at their door policy.

The Shakespeare is a charming British pub located in Montpellier, housed in a historic 14th-century building. It's a popular spot among students and offers great deals on alcoholic drinks and cocktails. The pub features traditional ales and lagers, as well as hosting trivia nights and providing space for dart enthusiasts. With its cozy atmosphere, it's known for its warm welcome and international crowd. The decor resembles a traditional English pub, with a vaulted stone ceiling typical of medieval buildings in the area.
Had a super evening here after coming across the bar by chance. Bar staff were really great and had a great time chatting and joking with them. Beer is great if a little cold. (It was explained by the English barman that they couldn't serve it any warmer because of local tastes) and the food platter was excellent. Highly recommended. Will definitely be going back when we next visit Montpelier.

I have been a regular for over four years, and this place serves the best cider in town. One standout is the Henry Westons, a fantastic cider with 8.2% alcohol content. Don't miss out on the match nights; it's the perfect spot to enjoy a great time with friends!

We finished our evening in Montpellier here. We didn’t had food. The four cocktails we had were good, however when asking to show me the bottle of olive gin they were suppose to use, they couldn’t. I felt cheated!

Their cocktail program is quality, even if not particularly creative. And the accompanying food and dessert is wonderful. I particularly recommend the chocolate mousse with marmalade. The decor is fantastic. Stylish and we'll coordinated. And the staff was great.

An unintentional visit on a Saturday night while looking for a place to have some food with friends and we actually stumbled into the wrong restaurant..long story, anyway... and yes we were pleasantly surprised by the selection of foods and wines. We picked a bottle (2) of the Pic saint-loup red and it was a very good choice. The food was tasty and serving sizes were quite large and the staff were very friendly and cordial. A fun place to enjoy a drink with friends at the sport bar section and there is a restaurant inside apparently 😊

Barberousse in Montpellier is a popular spot located in the heart of the city, known for its maritime ambiance that instantly transports visitors into a world of pirates and privateers. The decor resembles an old ship with wooden barrels and hanging sails, creating a captivating atmosphere. What a place. A rum lovers dream. So many options to choose from and they are all good. A great looling place, excellent staff, clean with a lovely pirate themed interior. The music was also great. A definite must see. Thank you for having us. We will definitely come again when in Montpellier

Went there on a Thursday evening. The place's got a very nice sort of pirate theme. It got packed with mostly 18-20 year olds but we had a good time. The music was fun. I didn't like their cocktail du moment, though... It was too sweet, tasted like a wrong juice

The Rhum Runner is a bar with an exotic atmosphere in the heart of the district Saint-Roch. Besides a perfect setting for an old Elvis movie (the decoration is wonderfully simple), the Rhum Runner also has another added value: great original creations. For us, it was definitely love at first sight! At the Rhum Runner, you can enjoy gins and rums straightaway but also offer a range of exotic cocktails.
Had a wonderful time visiting here. The atmosphere is fun, and they have a great selection of rums as well as rum tiki drinks. Both female bartenders were so kind and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Highly recommend checking this place out if you appreciate rum and tiki drinks. Tucked away in the charming streets of Montpellier, Bonsoir Cocktail Bar is more than just a place to grab a drink; it’s an experience that beckons you to unwind and savor the moment. Opened on May 9, 2021, this stylish bar combines the elegance of hospitality with delightful flavors that surprise and delight. Guests can enjoy their cocktails al fresco on a quieter street, just moments from the bustling heart of the city.
I’m not a fan of cocktails but this bar is amazing! The best cocktail I’ve ever had. The staff are friendly and genuinely interested in personalising the taste for you. The bar looks upmarket, but it is not at all daunting but is very inviting and comfortable. I’m terms of price, they are worth double, at least !
Jessica F — Google review
Fancied a cocktail and this looked good in google reviews. I didn’t go inside but sat outside in quieter street than the hub of Montpellier, even though it is only a few minutes away. My waiter was very helpful and chatty and helped me choose a cocktail. It was a summer version of the Negroni. It was nice and refreshing but didn’t have quite the punch of a normal version which is my favorite. It did come with its own light coaster which was super cool and they was a free dish of delicious local olives too! For a cocktail bar there wasn’t too much choice but still had a wide of drinks to choose from.
Denise L — Google review
Very warm and welcoming staff, well educated and open. They know their stuff when it comes to alcohol and music since they have a cocktail named after Arctic Monkeys. Best bar in town!!!

Found this by chance when visiting Montpellier. My wife and I enjoyed some very nice unusual cocktails and some well presented food which we very much enjoyed. Been there a few times, cocktails are very good but it takes quite some time to get served every time(drinks and food), which is a shame. I don't think I'll be coming back there though because the last time I went there, I've realised I payed much more (probably an other table's bill?) than what we ordered. It's not entirely their fault (I should have double checked the bill) but this adds up and makes me go to some other places.

Notable works include Italian Renaissance art, 16th- and 17th-century Dutch paintings, and French landscape paintings from the 17th to the 19th century.
The museum was truly impressive! The Monets were a definite highlight — absolutely stunning to see up close. While the layout and map were a bit confusing at times, I eventually found my way around and really enjoyed the experience. A great mix of classical and modern works, definitely worth a visit if you're in Montpellier.

Absolutely massive! The gallery just kept on going, hall after hall of impressive, historic art. Well presented, if not a little confusingly organised, the paintings and sculptures were nicely grouped together, but the halls didn’t really flow one into another and one can find themself getting a little lost. That said it’s very affordable and they have some highly coveted artists work, like Monet and Van Gogh. Overall, a great way to spend a couple of hours, just make sure you set aside 2/3 hours to fully cover it.

Established in 1828 by Francois Xavier Fabre. There are sculptures and a large collection of paintings including Rubens, Fabre, Degas, Delacroix and many by Gustav Courbet(15). This is a huge museum needing a minimum of 2-3 hours. It is a must see in Montpelier if you have time. It’s 5 minute from Place de Comedie.
Mike Z — Google review
Beautiful artwork and space. A shame recent renovations haven't included better/clearer/easier to read labels next to each painting. Multiple fonts and way too small to read. The museum has lockers for your belongings and toilets downstairs.
Sara T — Google review
really nice collection! it’s full of masterpieces and therefore the price of the ticket is really worth it. the only reason why i can’t give 5 stars it’s because of the security staff (only at the entrance). they are mean, arrogant and treated us like terrorists because of my boyfriend was wearing a backpack. they didn’t even respond when we greet them while we were leaving. truly disrespectful.
Sara F — Google review
Visiting this museum is a must do, while being in Montpeiller. Beside breathtaking collections of paintings you can also learn about the history of art in the city.
Lalo — Google review
We visited on a free day (the first Sunday of the month), and spent more than 2.5 hours here. You could easily spend more time. They check your bags and person when you enter, and you cannot bring in any food or drink. The collection is amazing, with a staggering amount of artworks. The contemporary art was lost on us, but we loved the old collections. There are lots of places to sit down throughout, as well as portable chairs available to move about with. Free postcards throughout the exhibits. It seemed to be wheelchair accessible and very family friendly. There are lockers inside, not sure if they have a cost. Definitely recommend a visit!

Haute French restaurant
Jardin Des Sens, a renowned restaurant by the famous brothers Jacques and Laurent Pourcel, has reopened with a new concept of 10 or 15-course menus featuring delectable bites. The "Dialogue avec notre Mediterranee" menu impresses with its high-quality and noble ingredients such as lobster, Mediterranean scallops, and caviar, along with unique flavor combinations and exquisite cooking techniques.
Amazing place, everything from the food to the atmosphere and service is simply beyond perfect! All foods are extremely delicious, they started with many small dishes before the starters, which were great and diverse. The staff is very polite, professional, and knowledgeable of the foods and ingredients. The vibe of the place is calm, simple, modern, and the ceiling contributes great to the atmosphere. I highly recommend the restaurant. It is worth the visit a lot!!! I will be sure to come back for my next trip to Montpellier. Thank you to the staff of Jardin Des Sens!

Our meal was so enjoyable! This was our first Michelin experience and it was a blast! The atmosphere is very upscale, yet casual. You receive many appetizers before your selected course offerings begin. The entire meal was fantastic, but one of my favorites was an appetizer of a little cone with sardine and one kettle popcorn piece. It was so delicious and surprising! I would consider myself a very plain person in diet (typical American, ketchup kind of gal) so it was exciting to taste all new things and I told myself to just dive in & it was worth it. We chose the 8 course and it was very plentiful. The chef provided 2 surprise courses and one was my favorite of the meal portion, a little stew cup layering black truffle, stew jus with light potato layer. I’ve NEVER eaten octopus in my life, yet enjoyed one of the courses where it’s embedded. It’s very much worth the experience. The service is phenomenal, you’ll never have a need they don’t anticipate. The desserts are too good at the end.

An exceptional time. We went for the 6 course dinner after reading reviews and were glad we did. The amuse bouche and two compliments of the chef left us utterly full and delighted. Of the 1 & 2 Michelin stars meals we’ve had, Jardin Des Sens ties for the first among them. The seafood items were sensational. The staff was more personable which we appreciated too.
Miju H — Google review
Beautiful restaurant situated in one of the best neighborhoods of Montreal. My partner and I came one rainy evening and tried the Escapade menu and were quite full afterwards. Our favorite part of the meal was the amuze bouche and dessert / coffee. Bread and butter were also fantastic. I am docking one star because food was beautifully executed but certain dishes combinations were a bit confusing at least from my perspective and weren’t the most tasty (again, personal preference). Nonetheless, I would recommend this spot for a special occasion or celebration but am not in a rush to return from my end. The restaurant was accommodating to my dietary restrictions, and that was much appreciated. Service was polite and professional, and the staff was fluent in English which was very helpful.

My wife and I came here for an anniversary dinner. This was a truly memorable experience! We both had multi-course tasting dinners, though slightly different. The courses were inventive, colourful, well-paced and tasted fantastic. All the staff were incredible, friendly and perfectly able to switch into English when I reached the limits of my French. The wine steward was so helpful, steering us to a perfect wine and not the most expensive. We would recommend Jardin Des Sens without hesitation.

Jardin Des Sans was the best meal of our trip in France and one of the two best meals of my life. My awesome wife found and booked it at the last minute and they were great about fitting us in. The staff was professional but not too stiff - everyone was very friendly. The chef's bread was... wow. Just wow. There was not a single dish that we did not like, and in between dishes we were admiring the beautiful frescos on the walls and ceiling. Thank you to the chef and team at Jardin Des Sans for a lovely night we will always remember.

On any traveling adventure, we are always looking for a great place for classic cocktails. On our recent trip to Montpellier, we finally found it! Paul Perie and Friend Really know their spirits and offer the quality cocktail we have been searching for! Let's not forget the smoked salmon that was served, superb! As former Seattleites, we know our salmon... And cocktails.

If you are in Montpellier and you want to have some nice cocktails, this is the place to go! Very kind and welcoming staff. The bartender really new his job! Try some of the signatures cocktails, but also ask the bartender to make you something of your own taste. You won’t regret it😉😉

Le quatrieme tiers is a new bar in town and it was recommended to us by Bonsoir - a very cool bar as well - so we saddled up and went to give it a try on Saturday… here’s the breakdown: staff are amazingly friendly and welcoming, decor and ambiance and the place overall are pretty fantastic, almost like you’ve sketched a kitchen from a cottage and decided to make it a bar! Brilliant!! They also have a more intimate setup downstairs which is very cool… However the old fashioned needed a bit of work and the bathroom is not for clostrophobes as it’s dangerously tiny but it’s a cool place all in all. Give it a shot

We didn’t eat only drink the gin. Waouhhh the diversity of gin is so nice! Cocktail are well thought! Staff is kind and helpful. Interior is great and well designed! Will be back

I can't give them less than five stars because: • their gins are amazing, well prepared and not too expensive • the barman was extremely kind, letting us feeling more than welcome • the tapas are soooo good: we had a mozzarella di bufala and a stracciatella, both were delicious. The owner, which is half Italian, told us they weekly import cheese and hams from Naples • the ambient was relaxing: low lights, enough space for everyone and not pumped music, so we can talk instead of screaming + Bonus: I also found in their small library, by chance, the Spritz book where I'm mentioned as spritz expert. It has been the "ciliegina sulla torta".

Very good bar specialised in Gin cocktails. The delicatessen is very good, especially the Jambon Sec, never tasted one that is that good. Staff is friendly, welcoming and kind. Prices are reasonable, about 20 euros per persons counting food and cocktail. You have to try it out!

You cannot find a better place in Montpellier to enjoy good gin. Mathieu and Eric, together with the whole team are very skilled (real experts!) and will find the perfect drink for you! And if you think you don't like gin, it's just because you haven't been there yet. Foodwise - The stracciatella di buffala - Oh man. Marina also makes the best tuna spread ;). I left Montpellier but it's still my QG when I go "home".

The gin they use in most, if not all, of their cocktails is a top-tier gin from Bordeaux. The drinks were really well done. The gin selection is really well curated. I will be back whenever I am in Montpelier.

The Vertigo Rooftop, located at the top of the Pullman Centre hotel in Montpellier, offers a luxurious experience with its designer pool and stunning view of the city.
We made a reservation for our first night because we knew we would be tired and wanted something easy to get to. (Just a short elevator ride away. 😊) It was an absolutely wonderful experience. We started in the bar area enjoying a drink prior to our reservation time. Then we moved to the dining room. Our servers were fantastic! When our limited French ran out they were extremely helpful and happy to switch to English. Our meals were excellent and the service was too. Later in our trip we opted for a late afternoon/early evening out by the pool. We enjoyed food from the bar menu and stellar service once again. We will definitely return to the Pullman as well as Le Vertigo!!

Amazing atmosphere, very well presented but mediocre tasting food, as well as mediocre service. And you pay 4 euros for purified tap water.
Tamás C — Google review
Very disappointed. The area was scary. The photos in google are clearly over filtered because the rooftop was not chic at all but more for a family gathering. The main course does not worth 25 euro. The wine was from the supermarket. If you expect a chic experience don’t come here.
WG P — Google review
Horribly frustrating service. They clearly would rather that patrons NOT join them for dinner and they make it painfully obvious. Great place for smokers.

(Translated by Google) We were offered a caraffe of water, only to be charged €8 for it. For a bottle of Vittel, that's a steal. As for the food, the starter was very good and the ingredients were well-chosen, but the main course left something to be desired. It was nothing more than cooked vegetables swimming in a tomato sauce that tasted just like the one you'd find at Carrefour... The cocktails were very poorly mixed; all you could taste was the alcohol. The place may be nice for the setting, and even then, when the terrace isn't closed, but for the food, move on; there are much better options in Montpellier, especially for this price.
Donovan H — Google review
(Translated by Google) Honestly disappointed! The setting was fantastic and the waiter was friendly, but the food... what a shame! Given the exorbitant prices, you'd expect haute cuisine, or at least average, but nothing tasted good. The bouillabaisse was really bad, too spicy and flavorless. The steak we ordered was medium rare and arrived perfectly cooked. Only the tuna was quite good. The desserts, pavlova and fougasse, were bland and left only a bad aftertaste. For three of us, it cost over €150... move on and enjoy the bar or the hotel rooms! And eat in town :) We won't be back.

Three years later, and DJ Cyril is still out here holding the decks hostage. Like, how? This guy’s been playing the same tracks so long I’m starting to think he invented them. Zero vibe, zero innovation—just Cyril, giving us the musical equivalent of plain toast every weekend. As a German, this is borderline illegal in my book. Underground clubs are supposed to be temples of fresh talent, not retirement homes for DJs stuck in 2015. Please, I’m begging you—if you want exciting, young artists to breathe life into the place, let me know. Cyril needs a break, and honestly, so do we!

Very good experience, all the staff were very friendly. The place is not very big, but the sound is pretty good. You can choose between two different type of techno ( more or less intense). The vibe is relaxe and friendly easy too talk with everyone and most of the people, who come there love techno and are there for that. I recommend it, if you want a nice and dancing night. 🕺
Claire R — Google review
I see the need to make a new review... after having qualified this club 5 stars and having gone 2 times alone other opportunities (always Saturday), last Saturday I was refused entry. I understand wanting to let more people in, but being a TECHNO club, a LOT of people go alone all over the world to these clubs... it's a bit ridiculous not to let a person in because they go alone, it's not a Commercial Music Club, and so many people go for the MUSIC, I can understand if maybe someone goes drunk, into drugs from the start or it's just not the vibe for the club like it happens in other techno clubs. This is a reason to no allow let in. I asked the bouncer why… he told me “cause you’re alone, let me work” in a no respectful manner (all this in English). You have to pay a little attention to this, because you are a small club but with a good system sound that it deserves! Change the security, you have a lot of bad reviews just for this. And you don't deserve it!
Gianfranco — Google review
The music is a mediocre spotify playlist. People are using their phones instead of dancing. You will spend your time fighting for your space instead of being able to dance. There is no proper smoking area. 15 Euro is absurd.

L’Arbre is a unique and original spot located at the intersection of the Antigone and Port-Marianne neighborhoods in Montpellier. This architectural marvel features a restaurant at the base, symbolizing contemporary Montpellier with a touch of Japanese refinement, while its bar on the 17th floor offers breathtaking views of the city and the Cevennes.
Haven’t been to the restaurant (yet!) but the bar is great, especially during sunset - the stuff and music are nice, the drinks are quite expensive but generous. A great place to start a party or to bring your friends from outside of Montpellier, as the bar is one of its kind in the city, and the architecture of the building is definitely standing out.
Berenika W — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If I could give 6 stars, I would!) I genuinely don’t understand how L’Arbre doesn’t already have a Michelin star — it absolutely deserves one. The entire experience was flawless. The chef himself is present throughout the evening, caring and passionate, personally explaining the menu. The staff is equally attentive and warm, making you feel truly welcomed. Every dish was a highlight: the Angus beef was a delicacy, perfectly cooked; even the simple salad and fries were elevated to something exceptional. The filet of turbot was sublime, especially with its rich and flavorful sauce. And the desserts… works of art. The fraisier was unbelievably light, and for chocolate lovers, the royal is next level. A special mention for the kindness of the team: I mistakenly booked for the next day, but the chef didn’t say a word — he just quietly found us a table. I only realized the error later when I got a confirmation message for the following night. Truly an unforgettable dining experience. Bravo to the whole team!

L’Arbre — Rooftop Terrace Review Introduction * We have visited the rooftop terrace many times over a long period, with friends and often my fiancée, so this review is a summary of our overall experience. Pros: 1. Excellent view; evenings are especially pleasant for watching the sunset. There is usually a light, pleasant breeze and a welcoming atmosphere. 2. Decent cocktails. They are quite expensive but nicely presented and satisfyingly strong. 3. Snacks can be fairly interesting. 4. Good entertainment — you can dance and enjoy the music. Cons: 1. Rather expensive. 2. Evenings are often crowded. Conclusion: An interesting and pleasant venue, but with its drawbacks. Worth a visit once or twice.

Casa Cubana is a small, colorful bar with outdoor seating that offers wine, cocktails and small plates. The place is very popular and lively, perfect for a Cuban break at the Casa Cubana. There are also many cocktails on offer, as well as some creative creations such as the Cancha or the infamous Casa Roja. In addition to wine and spirits, there's a good selection of beer available too.
Casa cubana montpellier is a very nice discovery! Located in the city center of Montpellier on a very cool and calm terrace. Tappasitas are very good and the portion was generous. The cocktails are also delicious and the cuban spirit is very well captured in the decor and the place overall is delightful… they have a great selection of premium rum and whisky and of course they have cigars inside as well. We’ll be revisiting for sure!

Mixed feelings: 5/5 for the cocktails, 3/5 for the tapas. + the place looks very nice + they organize parties and people are dancing latino music + the cocktails are amazing! They offer a big variety, from classics to their own recipes. I definitely recommend the one called hasta siempre 🍸❤️ - the tapas are average I would say. We took many things from the menu, but we only liked 2 of them: the nachos and the tomato bruschetta. I would certainly return here for the drinks and the great atmosphere, but I would have dinner at a different restaurant.

Food and drinks were okay for me, but way too expensive for what they were. Maybe worth it for the cocktails, which I didn’t try. Presentation of the food is excellent.

High quality alcohol in cocktails (havana club 7 years in mojito, olmeca tequila in margarita etc). Nice atmosphere.

Beautiful restaurant set in a lovely square with plenty of outdoor seating. The service was perfect. I needed help with gluten free food and an allergen menu was brought out highlighting all foods and which allergens they contained. Felt very confident and safe eating there and the food was truly beautiful! (Who knew aubergines covered in walnuts and honey could taste that good?!) They also purchase their wine from small, local suppliers, and the one I was recommended after describing what I liked was beautiful. Perfect evening, great atmosphere, definitely put it on your list to visit! Thank you for a lovely first evening of our holiday.

This restaurant had an amazing ambience. I loved the cocktails they served. They add 7 year old Rum with exotic fruit punches to their cocktails. It was just mind-blowing. Drinks were more on the expensive side. If you ever go to Montpellier do visit this restaurant. Food on the other hand was okayish. I had ordered chilli con carne and fajita, both of them were quite salty. Quesadillas were really good. The plating was aesthetically pleasing. But if you plan on having a full course meal then this restaurant is not suitable for that purpose.

Honestly feel a little shocked to see the rating below 4. The food was extremely delicious. Great choice of music of you are into having a lovely evening with energy. Lovely interiors with a warm Xmas decorations on a piano. As far as food goes the foie gras was exceptionally good served with crispy bread. The main course too was delicious with one of a kind gnocchi. The service could have been a little faster though to enjoy the overall experience better. Definitely friendly staff. Great interiors too. The lighting was extremely warm to click any neutrally balanced photos though. Apologies for that.

Food was good, sadly they didn't have a French dish we were hoping to try. The outside is nice to people watch nice square and the inside is beautiful. They have a big menu and most could find something they. We had camembert focaccia (didn't love it but now I know I just don't like that cheese), the potatoes bravas weren't what we expected but delicious, cod rice dish and the butternut squash soup. Both pleasant surprises!

I went here twice in a row. First i had iced coffee and it was so good that I went back the next day. I was worried about having food there because of the poor rating but the food was as good as the coffee. And the cool mist is amazing on a typical hot day in Montpellier. Clement took care of us both days and he was awesome, so nice and smiley unlike other French waiters. Clean bathroom is another bonus. I highly recommend this place!

The Black Sheep is a great place to go during the weekends in Montpellier. It's always full of people, rain or shine, and they play all kinds of music (rock, metal, punk). They also have a great selection of beers.
Great spot to try your first song. Welcoming community. Lots of choice of beers and non-alch too if that’s your thing. My partner and I sang together the other night there for the first time and it was such a fun experience. The crowd was great and sang along, the guy who runs the bar is fluent in English and French. Nestled within its charming stone walls are cozy sofas where you can relax while enjoying creative cocktails and delicious tapas-style snacks.
Fun place to gather with your friends and family to play games and spend great moments together. If you don't like the smell of mold, you have to choose the right room for you... Interesting cocktails and many many games!
Hitomi O — Google review
Not recommended. Chairs should have been repaired months ago. Flies were constantly hovering above drinks and the room we were in had obvious mould stains on the walls and ceiling. Played one savagely beat-up game here, had a beer and left. Games are in mostly poor shape and the rooms are claustrophobic. Staff don't seem to care what kind of experience you have here. Beer was flat and stale.
Paul W — Google review
A solid board game bar. They’ve got a good selection of games that you can find all over the place. The inside is quite spacious but some of the couches can be a little uncomfortable. The bar’s pretty standard but does the job. It’s a good setting for a game night with friends.
Lo M — Google review
Excellent bar with hundreds of different game choices. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help you choose a game(s) which fit your party's needs. The cocktails, while slightly on the more expensive side (but still reasonable prices considering the games you play are free!), are delicious and are changed every few months by the bartenders. I would highly recommend this spot, and also recommend you come early enough to ensure you get a table on the weekend!
Jonathan ( — Google review
Good cocktails, welcoming and nice staff. Large choice of games! They don’t have wine so you better like beer! It can be a little overwhelming to order when it is crowded (the service is only made at the bar). But honestly you get used to ;) The bar itself is very nice, the ancient stone walls give a charm to the place. There are 2 levels. I recommend !
Asma B — Google review
Great place to go with some friends, the access to games is free. You only pay for your drink, which is not always the case in others places similar to this one. I really like the vibe, the staff is cool, and every friday night there is a free loup garou game with anyone that's willing to join. The place closes at 1 AM which is nice because you don't have to leave in a rush. People there are friendly. I recommend it !

Panos S — Google review
I just dropped into this place, and decided to have a traditional French dish - chips and guacamole!!! But, they put such care into making these, I asked the server to compliment the chef - they would have been lavish in San Diego! They have a decent "vin ordinaire" and while the wait staff is insanely busy, I felt very well attended. So, out of my four nights in Montpellier, I chose to go back there again! This time, roasted cheese with honey, and a plate of sausage - but with their additions of bread and tomatoes and cornichons and walnuts and croutons - I had a wonderful feast!! I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be returning!

So, I had a blast! The beer was cold and I made friends with the people on my left and my right. But... I went there because they supposedly closed at 2h/2am, but they closed at 0h30/1230am. Nice beer place with amazing people and cool events. Always a good choice of canned and bottled beers as well that lets you discover other breweries (local and non-local) The place offers indoor and outdoor seating, has a piano in case you feel like playing, and some games you can borrow to make your evening even more social. Keep going 🍻

The worst experience in a bar in Montpellier We went there to get some shots of tequila, and after paying the barman said that another clients Didn't pay to him and with this payment his account was balanced and if we want our shots we have to go and search another person's in a closer bar and ask them to pay. (Persons that we didn't know and persons that left before we asked or paid our shots) Ahaha, yes, has you heard! It sounds ilogic, i know. And it was totally ilogic for us also. I have worked in a bar, and we know that they have to pay before the shots and beer before or at the moment that you give them. Maybe the barman didn't know how to do his job because he was new, but it was the worst experience in a bar en Montpellier

Les Canons is a cozy wine bar located behind the Prefecture, founded by Camille Lapierre. It's renowned for its well-curated natural wine selection and small plates. The restaurant offers an excellent menu with organic and sulfur-free wines, making it a favorite among wine enthusiasts. While not specializing in vegetarian dishes, it offers excellent options for vegetarians alongside fish and meat dishes.
We came late to the restaurant on Friday night, and waited for our food around 45minutes. However, once it arrived it was worth every awaited minute. The wine pairing was perfect and beef tartar was extraordinary!

Wow, what a beautiful and authentic restaurant. I felt really welcome, even though I'm a very picky eater. The waiter took his time to explain all the dishes and was super friendly. Such a calm and nice team. They didn't rush and had a lot of passion for what they were doing - also the chefs. The food wasn't my cup of tea (I had fried artichokes and chips and I don't like fried food. It was completely my fault!), but the team wanted to make sure I left the restaurant with a good feeling and a smile. I have never had such a good experience in France. Thank you so much for that great evening. I wish you all the best. Sunny, the German girl with the dog in the trolley. :)

Good service with the kind and friendly waiter who gave us good advice on wine 🍷. Food was quite interesting and yummy in a very creative way. The cook of this restaurant must love exploring different types of cuisine him/herself. Everything I ate was perfect yet all different.

Server was super nice and fun. One of the dishes (the egg with mushrooms) was fantastic. Other dishes were just ok, most being under seasoned, the shrimp were overcooked, cheese plate was just one kind of cheese (?). But the real problem is the "tapas style" menu. We ordered 3 dishes each and it wasn't too much, but the bill (for 2 people) was about 130 euros.

We had a wonderful meal here this evening. The waiter that served us was friendly, and attentive, he gave us advice on what food he recommended and the best wine based on what we desired. The food itself was amazing, flavorsome, delicious, every dish we ordered was good. Highly recommend.

Les Bains de Montpellier is a charming restaurant located in the heart of Montpellier's old town, offering globally-inspired Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is housed in a beautifully restored 1700s bathhouse, with an elegant courtyard adorned with palm trees and parasols, creating a romantic ambiance for diners. Despite its central location, it provides a peaceful escape from the bustling crowds.
Food and service were very lovely even when we were a group of 20+ people. I had a great time here. The entire place is picture perfect as well!
Lali C — Google review
Visited in September 2024. I had the evening menu with scallops, fish, and shortbread. The most interesting part of the meal was the spinach with raisins, which was the side for the fish. I was generally disappointed with the lack of taste in the food. Nothing was bad, but nothing was good either. I could taste neither the yuzu not the wasabi in the starter, both of which are pretty strong ingredients with characteristic taste. The fish was okay. The dessert was both boring and hard to eat because of the layering of the fruit slices and the large quantity of cream on top. Service was okay but not very professional. We were a large party of approximately 40 people, so we were seated inside. The seats were comfortable, but the restaurant was loud and you could see inside messy service areas. Overall, I didn't mind eating here, but I wouldn't come back and I definitely wouldn't recommend it. For the 48 euros per menu, there must be better food in Montpellier.

Great atmosphere, delicious wine and an amazing selection of tapas which was vegetarian friendly. I recommend the tomate caviar. Service was friendly and bread was complimentary.
Olivia A — Google review
I randomly stopped at Les Enfants Rouges without any expectations on my way back home after my vacation in Cap d’Agde. I have to mention how surprised I was, first look: wine bar, clean, cosy and comfortable. Second: Service, the 2 ladies are so warm and inviting, yet professional but with happiness of seeing guests satisfaction. Third: I have been invited to try some tapas (good upselling point) I was again amazed to see the quality. I have ordered a houmous, it was just perfect, light, fresh, tasty. The bread with it could have been warmed but yet the quality was at the top. Last, wine: price more then reasonable, selection will keep you curious to try new grapes varieties. 1 point, after switching to a different wine by glass (from Sauvignon to Macabeu) , my original glass could have been changed. Well done and hope to be back soon.
Maxime E — Google review
The food and wine here is amazing! Lots of vegetarian friendly options on the menu, generous free bread and water, and friendly service. We had the artichokes, fries, caviar de tomate, camembert and salad and loved all of it so much. Atmosphere is super cute with plenty of indoor and outdoor dining space. Wish we were staying longer in Montpellier so we could return - merci beaucoup ❤️

tapas place that's full full on random nights! it's very small but cozy inside, however you have to be warned, when you're upstairs, it's not much attention you'll really get! Wine was super good, tapas isn't bad however I'd strongly recommend to order separate dishes rather than the mixed tapas/pinchos, there's noticable less heart and soul in the big mixed plates! Otherwise, cozy place!

Cool concept wine bar that offers self-service on the wine. I found that to be the coolest part about this place. The staff also very nice and helpful. We took tapas which I was a bit disappointed in. They were more like miniature “mis en bouche » than tapas. But for the wine selection , this is definitely a special find.

Located at 3 Rue Terral in Montpellier, Pastis Restaurant offers a stylish dining space with beautiful brick arches. The restaurant is known for serving set meals made with seasonal produce that are expertly paired with wine. The menu is crafted by the new owners, Daniel Lutrand and Jean-Philippe Vivant, who draw inspiration from the market to create surprise lunch and dinner menus.
It is a Michelin 1-star restaurant and recommended to make reservation in advance. Restaurant starts at 8pm. There is only a set 5 course menu at €75 per person, and if you choose to have wine pairing, another €45. The food was presented beautifully with explanation of the ingredients. The ambience is good overall.

Amazing experience (food, service and vibe). Kid-friendly. Excellent value. English no problem. Highly recommended!
Babu T — Google review
So, this was my first time at a Michelin Star restaurant, and it for sure lived up to the hype. I ate at lunch, and had the full menu (4 courses) for 55 euro. Totally worth it. Everything was delicious but the stars in my opinion were the 2nd main (veal 2 ways, which had a sauce that I literally just wanted to eat by the spoonful. It reminded me a bit of a mole, it had chocolate and coffee notes for sure) and the dessert (apricot cake, ice cream, panacotta and various creams and sauces). I didn't do the full wines, because I still had things to do that day, but the staff did recommend a lovely local white that was just my taste. As a lady dining alone, I found the staff to be very accommodating and thoughtful. A really great experience, you should for sure go for it.

We had the most amazing and delicious meal at Pastis, the team was absolutely wonderful from pairing our wines perfectly to explaining each course 💫💫💫💫💫 we are planning one last visit before we go home. Definitely recommend this place.
Bev S — Google review
Ok so I am usually a bit stingy with my ratings as I always try to keep some in reserve for when i would find a better, more tasty or more impressive eatery... and now i have. The whole experience was simply sublime with surprising sensations and tastes that at odd times during the meal sneaked up from left field to slap me in the face and call me a cuckoo. The first bread serving was reminiscent of traditional village made bread from somewhere in the mountains and announced the start of a yet lingering the day after exquisite experience. The 5 courses that came afterwards paired with the proper wines sauntered between sea, forest and farm in a ballade that continued to put silent smiles on the faces of those around the table and an immediate outburst of impressions and wild jabs at trying to guess the ingredients. I could go on but this is one to be experienced personally and severally.
Iyad Z — Google review
We had an evening menu with wine pairing. Creative cuisine focused on local themes and flavors, which started slowly with tasty bread, olive oil and an interesting mix of herbs, spices and graines, then continued with amuse bûche, appetizer, excellent fish and meat dishes, cheese and dessert. All the courses were delivered as a pair of plates - variations on the same main ingredient, e.g. beef and beef sausage. The ingredients, the spices and sauces highlighted and accentuated the main pieces - very nicely matched. The wine was mostly well matched to the courses - I was not sure about a couple of selection, e.g. the German Riesling and dessert. Excellent cheese course - St. Nectaire prepared two ways, very tasty. The service was very welcoming, attentive, and friendly. The room design could be better - the ancient room theme, in my opinion, is spoiled by the modern looking cave entrance with the screaming sign ‘Wine Cave’ - not very subtle and appropriate. We really enjoyed the dinner - great place and very promising.

I’d say this place is worth a visit, it’s free to enter too. The art is very interesting and something different to see. Modern art isn’t always for everyone but if you’re creative definitely check it out! Quite quirky place. There is small art exhibition centre where known artists can show off their work. Whilst we were there we saw works by an American called Popeye. Can't really hope to really explain what he was trying to say but seemed quite deep! There is also a cafe attached as well as an indoor courtyard where you can sit on benches and enjoy the sunshine. Quite close to the centre, you can easily get there in 10 minutes or less from Place de la Comédie.

It's not that interesting for smaller kids. They have a fun little "treasure hunt" for the kiddos, but it's still better to go with teenagers and older...

The place is free, or at least it was on the weekend I visited it. Great spaces for art exhibitions. The art exhibitions are truly contemporary, a lot of different art genres are presented, paintings, photography, video and audio, nudes, sex content. Truly contemporary, not super large, but large enough to spend around an hour there, plus you can have a coffee, drink, cake etc. and also work on your laptop in the café inside of La Panacée, which is also very nice.

What a gem! Brilliant selection of brews including IPA, Porters and lagers brewed on the premises. Boho atmosphere, incredible smoking room downstairs, friendly knowledgeable staff who brew the stuff. Situated in an up and coming part of Montpellier. Cannot recommend enough.

Naked is a new bar in the Lez, Marseille. It offers unusual cocktails that are made with clear liquors and fermentation. This makes them more experimental than other cocktails on offer elsewhere.
(Translated by Google) We had the opportunity to taste several cocktails and they were all excellent. The staff is also very friendly. And with the atmosphere of the halls it makes the moment even more fun. Our favorite place to come and drink cocktails!

(Translated by Google) Meh. We politely asked if they still had happy hour at their bar. We were immediately given a very rude reply, "We don't do that here." Despite this, I decided to order a mojito in a 25cl glass. I had to pay him €10 for crushed ice with a hint of mojito. Enough to flavor iced water. All that for €10, I remind you. Not to mention that he wasn't exactly brilliant. I should also mention that tonight's waitress was extremely rude and nonchalant. Enough to scare away customers. It seems like working is annoying her to the max. Go to the bar next door where you'll be very well received, with a smile.

L'arbre blanc is a luxurious condo complex with stunning views of the city. It has a variety of amenities, including a pool, tennis court, and spa. The residents have access to all the facilities on site and can also join one of the many clubs that are available.
A very nice restaurant located in a beautiful section of Montpellier. The service was excellent and the staff welcoming and helpful. My wife ordered the ris de veau and I the langue du boeuf. Both were excellent. I highly recommend the langue, it was prepared perfectly. The ambiance was nice, but a little austere. Quality versus price, excellent. Worth a detour.
David M — Google review
Nice ambience, but service and food are dreadful. I ordered lamb, and they brought a fish dish, which I sent back. The lamb came 10 minutes later, burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. When I complained, they clearly weren't surprised or bothered. I then ordered coffee with milk, and they couldn't manage to get that right either. What was supposed to be a nice meal for the two of us was ruined. I told them, in french, I wouldn't be coming back and got the gallic shrug.
Graham J — Google review
Prior reservation required. Very well located. Unpretentious food at a good price. Not very tourist-friendly. Considering menus in English and/or Spanish wouldn't hurt. The terrace has an incredible atmosphere.

Towards the center of town, Charlie's Beer is a popular stop for locals and tourists alike. It usually gets fairly loud due to music, but the sitting area is divided into two areas so you can choose where to sit. Good choices of beers are available.
More beers than you can shake a stick at. And if you go early doors from 6pm the prices are within any budget.

It's a regular pub, nothing special in my opinion. I still give 4 stars for the rapid and nice service. The menus should be renewed soonish, because most of the beers are crossed out and not available anymore. So the best is, if you just asked, what's offered at the moment ☺️

Brasserie
Cafe de la Mairie offers not only delicious food but also a trip back in time with its intricately decorated interior that immerses you in another era. The abundance of carefully chosen decor makes it impossible to take it all in at once. For a unique experience, you can even sit in a telephone booth. Visitors from Manchester stumbled upon this gem while on holiday and were delighted to try escargot and frog legs for the first time, finding them amazing despite differing opinions on the dishes.
the food is delicious and the location is a lovely place to people watch. the staff is extremely kind and seem like they’re having a good time. would definitely revisit!
Makenna H — Google review
I had high hopes for this place. It's in a beautiful part of Montpellier, quaint and lovely. My salad entree was excellent, the main of steak and chips looked great but I had asked for medium rare and received blue steak, which didn't really bother me except that when it was returned to the kitchen it came back basically the same. With the language barrier, I decided it was too hard to revisit this again, and I instead ate around the uncooked part, leaving most of my meal uneaten. I'd expected a question or comment from the staff but nothing happened when they collected the meal even though it was very obviously 20% eaten. I also have an onion and garlic allergy, which was made very clear. However, I am now certain that one of the sauces contained one of those ingredients, given my reaction to the food. I think if I had probed further, they would have made the steak sauce with an onion or garlic based stock. I had expected more diligence than this in a nice restaurant, particularly when it's made very clear that a customer has an allergy (really concerning). Despite what seems to be slightly more care given by the waitstaff than what is standard in France, this experience was quite disappointing. I could imagine some things are done well, so perhaps it is hit and miss place.
Liana S — Google review
Sadly very disappointed, whilst the restaurant its self was a great location and nice decor, the service was very poor. We had to ask for menus and then again for the drinks menu. We waited 30 minutes before getting a waiters attention to order our drinks. We had to call a waiter 3 times before we could order any food, by this point we had debated leaving but we wanted to give them a chance. Our starters arrived, at the same time our drinks did! The starters were ok, we ordered escargots and trio tartinades and for mains we had moules-frites, poisson pommes aux de terre and salade de chèvre chaud. Unfortunately there were many moules that were unopened and the batter on the poisson was very soggy underneath. The food was not great overall and didn’t make up for the wait we had or the lack of care in the service.
M S — Google review
Very friendly and comfortable bistro. The food is delicious. I had the marrow bone and the cordon bleu. Both were tasty. Thé sauce with the cordon bleu was especially delicious Waiters were very friendly and efficient. I'd recommend it!
John C — Google review
Had very subpar food here. The current 4.6 star reviews on Google don’t correspond to the experience in my opinion. Had a medium steak that came out rubbery and chewy. The turkey in bacon tasted just like pure bacon. The burger was OK. The french fries are decent, though. Somehow the representation of the meal isn’t clean, didn’t quite feel like a nice restaurant approach, while still having solid restaurant prices. The waiter didn’t feel like a restaurant waiter - there was something casual and careless in his demeanor. And when I complained about the beef, first thing he mentioned is that the other 4 people around us who ordered the same thing didn’t complain about it. It’s not a 1 star review because I did get a discount for the beef (50%), but still the experience is disappointing. If you want to spend a nice evening at a nice restaurant, you might want to look elsewhere to be on a safer side. I think I had better steak and food overall at the U.S. chain steakhouses and chain restaurants, which to begin with aren’t famous with being exquisite with their food. Coming from the U.S, and paying as much money at this restaurant, I expected a fair bit more.
Aleksandr A — Google review

Teena F — Google review
Montpellier really has some amazing food, the produce is amazing and this shows in the food. This is why I actually wrote this review, it is beyond me how this restaurant can have such great ingredients and yet make some of the worst food I’ve had. We started with the sea snails that were fresh but they didn’t clean them properly so they were sandy eww. We then had an expensive tomato salad that was meh at best and the tomatoes were borderline too ripe. And the the mains, I went for a meat veal dish that was so dry and rubbery it actually hurt my throat , the sauce was watery and bland. my partner went for some squid that was okay at best, it was just oil garlic and squid with some seasoning. Meh. The service was friendly but very slow, I ordered ketchup for my chips that never arrived. Worst meal of the whole trip, if you like food. Avoid at all costs!

Me and my fiancee were in the South of France 🇫🇷 on holiday from Manchester, England 🇬🇧. We were staying in Bezier so decided on a train ride over to Montpellier and stumbled across Cafe De La Mairie and we saw they did Escargot(Snails) which were keen to try for the first time The Escargot were amazing but my fiancee didn't like it and we also ordered Frogs legs which again was my first Time trying. The frogs legs were tasty and we had local wine and beers, Excellent service, Great atmosphere, Relaxed atmosphere, Great food and drink and we really enjoyed it. 5☆ We Highly recommend Cafe De La Mairie

Unfortunately way too expensive for what it is so we stopped going there. A pint of chouffe is way cheaper in the city center and the bottled beers for take out you can get cheaper in other beer shops in the city or even supermarkets. But people are usually nice if they don't keep being busy talking with their favorite people...
Sarah — Google review
Beer! So much beer! Oh, man they have a lot of beer (over 400 different bottled and, by french measures, quite a few taps). There's beer everywhere! It's like that scene from Hitchcock's The Birds except it's beer instead of birds. And not scary. Unless you're scared of beer. Then I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe a nice café or something would suit you better?

Had an excellent quiet Wednesday evening. Food was superb. Husband had duck, I enjoyed pasta with salmon two ways and my kids shared the steak meal with tapas and dessert. Food was excellent and service was friendly. We recommend!
Lora P — Google review
The food was really good ! The salmon and the duck were very good. For the location the prices were not that bad (they have a menu with tapas and a first course and dessert for around 26 €) and the service was really good. The problem was the tables outside were too tight together, one chair was on top of a hole on the sidewalk and to top it all the restaurant is next to a bar where teens were outside ovulating the whole street yelling and screaming on top of deafening music playing from inside. Conversation was really hard. Hope it was just that night, as the waitress told us there must have been a birthday.

Terrible. I made a reservation about 1,5 hours beforehand and even received a confirmation. To our surprise, the staff told us immediately upon arrival that the kitchen was already closed and they had no food for us. They could have just canceled our reservation and I would have no issues with that. However, they very nonchalantly told us that they have been busy and did not have the time to receive us. Very rude Don't book with "TheFork" app, they don't pay < attention to reservations made through it.

The Faculty of Medicine has a long and illustrious history, dating back to 1220. It is one of the oldest medical schools in the Western world, and still functions today. The college is steeped in history, with its beautiful building located on one of Montpellier's most historic streets. Hundreds of students now make use of its facilities every day.
A nice historic place created in 1220, the oldest university in the world related to medicine. A beautiful building with views from the back of the university overlooking the cathedral.. it has an anatomical theater at the back and some museum exhibits. It is well worth a visit, especially if visiting the cathedral next door, I stumbled on this whilst I was waiting for the cathedral to open in the afternoon. I was not disappointed with this historic building
