The Palazzo dei Papi di Viterbo, also known as the Papal Palace, is a stunning example of Gothic architecture in the Lazio region. Built between 1255 and 1266 to house popes seeking refuge in Viterbo, it features decorative stonework and frescoes that showcase its historical significance. The palace's elegant seven-arched loggia and a charming courtyard with city views make it a must-see attraction.
Beautiful and very interesting. The lady at the counter was extremely polite and patient. There is an audioguide included in the price and there's a lot of information you can learn about this beautiful medieval complex.

So much to look at inside ! Staff are very helpful, they give you an ear piece so you can find out about all the history of the rooms choose your language. The grounds and views are amazing!

The Palazzo dei Papi is one of Viterbo’s most important monuments, built when Pope Alexander IV (1254-1261) moved the papal curia to Viterbo in 1257 and had the former bishop’s palace expanded. The palace includes the famous Aula del Conclave, which hosted the longest papal election in history, lasting about 33 months! You and get a ticket, and audio guide, for a very reasonable €10 which gives you access to the museum, cathedral and Palazzo. The audio tour is very detailed and a map is provided which shows the main points of the locations.

Great place to visit of historic interest. The combined Viterbo Pass gives access to other city museums including the Town hall with stunning artworks and frescoes.

The Papal Palace in Viterbo hosts an exhibition that captures the first conclave (literally "under lock and key") that was held starting in 1268AD and took nearly three years to select the new Pope. That was Gregory X, who then ordered that the conclave method be used for future selection. It's very well done, including multilanguage commentary, VR, and animation to tell the story, and a must visit for History buffs and for Catholics interested in key stages in the development of the church.

The Palazzo dei Priori is a significant monument in the city, serving as the town hall and boasting a rich history dating back to the 15th century. Upon entering through its portico, visitors are greeted by a spacious courtyard featuring a striking 1600s fountain. The noble floor houses the private chapel adorned with remarkable frescoes dedicated to the Virgin and an exquisite Visitation by Bartolomeo Cavarozzi at its center.
Beautiful place to visit and dive into the history of the palace.

A great little museum - we practically had it all to ourselves! A cute house and some nice artwork to view. Makes you understand how important Viterbo once was. Staff were very friendly and engaging with good English. Audio guide limited but available, the pronunciation on it and number of items was not great. All in all a cute place to visit.

Parcheggio privato Basilica San Francesco alla Rocca is located in an area with numerous medieval churches to explore, such as Santa Maria Nuova and the Basilica from 1237. It also offers an excellent panoramic view of the Franciscan Sanctuary of Santa Rosa and the deconsecrated church of San Rocco. Porta Romana in Viterbo is a historic site where the annual Macchina of Santa Rosa procession begins. The Macchina, carried by a hundred men known as the Facchini, is paraded through the major streets of Viterbo to seven churches for blessings before reaching its final destination at Piazza di Santa Rosa. The area also houses the Provincia di Viterbo tourist information office, offering an array of free resources for tourists to explore the region.
Probably the most historical door in Viterbo. From mid August it is possible to see the Saint Rose tower built and ready for the 3rd of September

The cathedral of San Lorenzo is located in the center of Viterbo, and it is considered to be one of the most important religious buildings in Italy. The original construction was completed in the 12th century, but it has been extensively rebuilt over time. The current structure features a black-and-white bell tower that is one of the most recognizable features of Viterbo.
A beautiful reminder of a period where Viterbo was the chosen seat and sanctuary of popes. It was peaceful and not at all busy when I visited so it was perfect for me. A single ticket allows you to visit the cathedral, the papal palace and the cathedral museum next door. There are also tourist audio guides which are great and allow you to listen to the commentary at your own pace.
Planettall — Google review
The cathedral is very plain apart from a couple of the side chapels, as when it was restored after the second world War it primarily followed its medieval precedent, rather than its subsequent baroque developments, Definitely not the most beautiful church in Viterbo, if you're short on time or money.
B — Google review
A Majestic Symbol of Viterbo’s Soul The Cathedral of San Lorenzo is a place that truly leaves a mark. Perched on the highest point of Viterbo’s historic centre, this striking Romanesque cathedral, with its elegant Renaissance façade and soaring bell tower, is a masterpiece of solemnity and grace. By day, the cathedral’s understated beauty blends perfectly with the timeless charm of Piazza San Lorenzo. But by night — as seen in this photo — it becomes something truly special: illuminated with soft golden lights, casting long shadows across the square, exuding a quiet, almost mystical presence. Steeped in history, this cathedral once hosted papal coronations and remains a powerful testament to Viterbo’s medieval importance. Step inside and you’ll find a peaceful, contemplative interior, rich with centuries of faith, history, and resilience. Whether you’re religious or simply an admirer of architecture and history, this cathedral is a must-see. A moving, unforgettable stop on any visit to Viterbo.
SUR E — Google review
Viterbo Cathedral was built on the site of an early Christian church (287AD) and reflects the early martyrs of the Christian faith, as believers were killed for refuting the pagan Roman gods. It's nowhere near as ornate as later Catholic churches, but with simplicity also comes beauty, and the Nave is a place for quiet reflection and respect for the past.
Patrick C — Google review
a beautiful blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, offering a peaceful atmosphere perfect for quiet reflection. The tall columns, crafted arches, and subtle frescoes add to its charm.
M E — Google review
The cathedral had a gorgeous ceiling although the building itself was surprisingly plain. There were the remains of some wall frescoes by the altar and one of the chapels had the best example of tromp l'oeil we'd ever seen. The bronze plated doors were impressive too. Entrance was included with the Papal Palace ticket next door.
Marcus H — Google review
The oldest records of the presence of a house of worship dedicated to St. Lawrence the Martyr on the present Cathedral Hill date back to the early Middle Ages. As early as 775 there is mention of a pieve of S. Laurentii and Petrus, its presbyter, and in a bull of Pope Leo IV (852) there still appears a reference to it. Full consecration, however, would come in 1192, the year Celestine III united Viterbo, Blera, Tuscania and Cencelle into a single diocese, insignifying the church with the title of Cathedral. Between the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, important interventions were planned on the layout of the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, which, however, remained unexpressed (Antonio da Sangallo). During the 16th century there were conspicuous interventions on the structure.

Polo Monumentale Colle Del Duomo is a historical site that showcases the transition from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. The San Lorenzo Cathedral's facade and the marble baptismal font by Francesco d'Ancona are notable Renaissance features. Additionally, Michelangelo's Crucifixion in the Colle del Duomo Museum adds to its cultural significance. Nearby, Palazzo Farnese and Dragon Palace offer insights into powerful families of that era.
The museum is a part of a heritage complex that includes the Palazzo dei Papi and the Cathedral. It's very detailed and well curated and is split into three main sections: an archaeological section, with finds from Etruscan, Roman and medieval periods; a historical-artistic section with works from the 13th to 20th centuries; and a sacred section with church vestments, liturgical objects associated with popes, bishops, etc. Well worth the €10 admission, audio guide and map included.

Santa Maria Nuova in Viterbo is a medieval church with a rich history and stunning interior. The church houses precious paintings and ancient frescoes dating back to 1320, creating a peaceful and solemn atmosphere. Visitors are captivated by the magic that unfolds upon crossing the threshold. The cloister, composed of peperino arches, adds to its unique charm.
The only church in Viterbo that survived in its original medieval form the centuries and well worth a visit. The frescos on the wall still have vivid colours. The most interesting item in the church is the triptych painted on leather. But the stone pulpit on the outside, from which Thomas of Aquino has preached in the 13th century, is special too

I have a beautiful memory of Don Angelo Gargiuli, a parish priest who managed to revive the entire neighborhood in many facets. Unfortunately, his successor did not do that. One thing that needs to be changed, shared by many, is carrying the Holy Savior by oxen. Carrying it on the shoulders of the devotees would be humanly speaking much more correct, given that these creatures come from far away, making exhausting journeys. (Original) Questa è la mia parrocchia natale. Bellissima chiesa romanica, stupendo pulpito.

Chiesa di San Giovanni in Zoccoli is a beautiful Romanesque church located in the heart of Viterbo, surrounded by narrow streets and arches. Its interior is striking with exposed stone elements and minimal decorations, reflecting its historical significance. The church is known for its captivating architecture, including a remarkable rose window and a bird sculpture. Despite being closed on weekends, the exterior alone offers a glimpse into its rich history and architectural beauty.

It is a Romanesque church that suffered damage in the bombings of 1944 which led to the removal of an adjacent eighteenth-century rectory. In the chapel on the left an image of the virgin. The 1441 polyptych is currently housed in the museum on the cathedral hill which the citizens of Viterbo can visit for free. I recommend carefully observing the facade with two flying buttresses and the eagle statues representing St. John the Evangelist. The Romanesque rose window is notable. (Translated by Google) The Church of San Giovanni in Zoccoli is a place of great charm and historical interest, located in the heart of an urban context which enhances its beauty and cultural significance. 📜🏛️ This sacred building, often little known compared to other more famous churches, holds a rich and layered history, which deserves to be explored carefully. The church dates back to the medieval period, precisely to the 12th century, and its name "in Zoccoli" derives from a curious popular legend. It is said that a pilgrim, tired and tired, left his wooden clogs at the entrance of the church as a sign of devotion and gratitude for having found refuge and comfort. 🥾🙏 This episode, although of dubious historical veracity, contributed to creating an aura of mystery and spirituality around the place. Architecturally, the Church of San Giovanni in Zoccoli has a Romanesque structure, with elements that reflect the sober and austere style typical of the era. The facade, in local stone, is characterized by a portal decorated with geometric motifs and religious symbols, while the interior is divided into three naves, separated by massive columns supporting round arches. 🏰⛪ The internal walls, once richly frescoed, still retain traces of wall paintings that tell biblical stories and lives of saints, offering an insight into the art and devotion of the time. One of the most evocative elements of the church is the bell tower, which stands imposingly above the roof and dominates the surrounding panorama. The bell tower, built in a later period than the main body of the church, presents a fusion of architectural styles, with Gothic influences mixing with the basic Romanesque structure. 🔔🏞️ From a cultural and social point of view, the Church of San Giovanni in Zoccoli has always played a central role in the life of the local community. Not only as a place of worship, but also as a point of reference for events, celebrations and moments of aggregation. Its position, often at the center of historical and political events, has made it a symbol of resistance and identity for the inhabitants of the area. 🕊️👥 Today, the church is a destination for curious visitors and art history enthusiasts, who here find a well-preserved example of medieval architecture, enriched by artistic and symbolic details of great value. Although it is not among the most famous monuments, its authenticity and its link with local tradition make it an unmissable stop for those who want to deepen their knowledge of the historical and religious heritage of the region. 🧳📚 (If you liked my review click on ❤️ or 👍🏻. Thank you! (Translated by Google) Beautiful church set in the center of Viterbo among narrow streets, profferli and arches. Beautiful almost naked in its interior with exposed stone elements and few decorations as the divas of the past deserved. It's a shame that Viterbo is not well liked by the people of Viterbo, in particular by the administrators who speak well but don't know how to start a tourism that should revive the businesses starting from cleanliness and safety and restart the historic center. With small interventions and control over the territory. Chiesa di Santa Maria del Suffragio, built in 1618, stands on the grounds of a medieval church and was established by a brotherhood dedicated to conducting masses for souls in Purgatory. This explains the church's name, derived from intercessory prayers known as suffrages. The brotherhood's affluent members generously funded the construction of an intricate facade. A similar brotherhood and church were present in Rome.

(Translated by Google) You come across it along Via del Corso and it is a small ancient jewel. The structure stands on a sacred building, the church of San Quirico, dating back to the 12th century. In 1618 the church was granted the confraternity of Santa Maria del Suffragio, which had as its objective the practice of prayers and the collection of alms for the celebration of masses in repose of the souls in Purgatory, hence the name "Santa Maria del Suffragio". The church presents itself to tourists with a rich façade, so much so that it is impossible not to notice it, but the decoration is the result of interventions in the 17th century. Entering inside you will be amazed, the environment is decorated in Baroque style and there are many works that the church preserves within its walls. On the main altar you can admire a painting, dated from the end of the 17th century to the beginning of the 18th century, depicting the Madonna del suffrage. (Translated by Google) The church takes its name from the Confraternity of Santa Maria del Suffragio, a pious association whose objective was the practice of prayers and the collection of alms for the celebration of masses in repose of the souls in Purgatory: the sacred building was entrusted to their management in 1618 by the diocesan bishop, after in 1572 the previous church, the parish seat dedicated to San Quirico and dating back to the 12th century, had been suppressed following the reform carried out by the Council of Trent. The confraternity carried out various restoration and renovation interventions on the entrusted property, in particular during the eighteenth century and at the beginning of the twentieth century. On the façade, which dates back to the 17th century and is in Baroque style, the coat of arms of Cardinal Brancaccio, bishop of Viterbo, stands out in the pediment, on whose initiative the very first 17th century renovations were carried out. Worthy of note, above the entrance door, is a panel, enriched externally by bas-reliefs depicting festoons and cherubs, in which there is a partly deteriorated fresco depicting a "Madonna and souls in Purgatory". The subject ("God in glory between the Madonna and Jesus with the souls of Purgatory") is dedicated to the same theme, the souls of Purgatory, represented on a large jute canvas stretched horizontally on the internal ceiling of the Church, which has a single nave and a raised presbytery. Among the other admirable works inside, of particular artistic interest are: - “Baptism of Christ” (1630), painting attributed to the Viterbo painter Anton Angelo Bonifazi, trained in Rome in the workshop of Pietro da Cortona (first altar, left wall); - “The prophet Habakkuk, the Angel and the prophet Daniel in the lions' den” (1730), fresco attributed to the famous architect Luigi Vanvitelli (vault of the oratory); - “Madonna with Child”, a work inserted inside a “baroque machine” with columns and an interrupted tympanum. The fresco is framed by the eighteenth-century altarpiece depicting "The Angel and Tobias", which internally has a circular hole that allows you to see the oldest fresco on the wall below (second altar, right wall); Finally, on the main altar, the altarpiece depicting a "Madonna with Child and an Angel presenting her with a soul leaving Purgatory", the work of Francesco Maria Bonifazi from Viterbo (a "Cortonian" painter and younger brother of Anton Angelo): here once again is the theme of the "Souls of Purgatory". When you say “suffrage”…

Fontana Grande is one of the many impressive fountains in Viterbo, adding to the city's water-themed charm. It is located in a square alongside other historical landmarks like Palazzo dei Priori. The fountain itself is considered a nice addition to the square, although some feel it could use some maintenance. Despite its appeal, its location near traffic makes it difficult for visitors to fully appreciate its beauty. Nonetheless, the surrounding area offers a pleasant atmosphere with nearby bars for visitors to enjoy.
Many cafes and pastry shops nearby so we got a bite and enjoyed by this fountain.

The National Etruscan Museum Rocca Albornoz in Viterbo offers a fascinating journey into the ancient origins of the city, focusing on Etruscan archaeology. Visitors can explore the spectacular necropolis of Castel d'Asso with its tombs carved into the rock and visit Cava di Sant'Antonio, a narrow path carved into tufa by the Etruscans. The museum houses several works of art found in these locations and others discovered later.
During my visit to the beautiful city of Viterbo, I had the pleasure of exploring the National Etruscan Museum located within the impressive Albornoz Fortress. As I stepped inside the fortress, I was immediately struck by the incredible architecture and rich history that surrounded me. The fortress itself was a fascinating sight to behold, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as I wandered through its winding passages and expansive courtyards. The fact that it was originally constructed in 1354 by Cardinal Gil Alvarez Carillo de Albornoz, who was the general vicar of the Church domains, only added to its historical significance and charm. As I made my way through the museum's stunning collection of Etruscan artifacts, I was impressed by the intricate detail and exquisite craftsmanship that went into each piece. From intricate gold jewelry and delicate pottery to impressive bronze sculptures and beautifully preserved frescoes, there was no shortage of breathtaking treasures to discover. One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to learn more about the Etruscan civilization and its fascinating history. Through the museum's informative exhibits and interactive displays, I gained a deeper appreciation for this ancient culture and the significant impact it had on the development of Italy and the Mediterranean world. Overall, my visit to the National Etruscan Museum was a truly unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Viterbo. The combination of stunning architecture, rich history, and remarkable artifacts make it a must-see destination for anyone interested in art, culture, and history.

Inside, in the small apse, frescoed in the sixteenth century, there is a seventeenth-century wooden crucifix. To the left of the apse, a memorial plaque commemorates a heinous act of bloodshed: the English noble brothers and exiles Guido and Simone di Montfort murdered Prince Henry of Cornwall during the celebration of Holy Mass. (Translated by Google) The Ghost of San Faustino: the hidden legend of Viterbo If you walk around Piazza San Faustino in Viterbo at night, you might hear a soft whisper in the wind or see a fleeting shadow in the alleys. The inhabitants tell a forgotten story, a secret buried under the cobblestones of the square. It is said that in the Middle Ages a young craftsman named Matteo lived here, known for his incredible skill in working iron. Its gates and lamps adorned the homes of Viterbo's nobles, but one day its luck changed. A mysterious merchant commissioned him to do an extraordinary work: an intricate lock that no one could ever break. Matteo worked day and night, and when he finally finished the masterpiece, the merchant betrayed him, accusing him of stealing the precious material. Unjustly convicted, Matteo disappeared without a trace, but since then, on the quietest nights, it is said that his restless soul still wanders around Piazza San Faustino. Some swear they saw a metallic glow inexplicably reflected on the stone walls, others say they heard the sound of a hammer hitting the anvil, as if Matteo were still there, intent on completing his latest work. If you find yourself in this square at sunset, stop for a moment, listen to the wind and look at the lights of the ancient shops. Who knows, maybe you too will glimpse a fragment of the legend of Matteo, the ghost blacksmith of Viterbo.

Monastero della Visitazione is a hidden gem in the historic center of Viterbo, dating back to the 17th century with subsequent restorations. The neoclassical facade and beautiful church make it a must-visit. The monastery, currently home to two dedicated nuns, offers affordable rooms for those in need.
What a wonderful sanctuary in the heart of the medieval district of Viterbo. The church is currently undergoing some renovations and should be reopening In a year or so. Whilst the monastery, which is attached to the church remains fully functional, it remains the residence of two dedicated nuns who now rent out spare rooms to needy persons, and for very cheap rent, to assist with the heavy upkeep of the monastery. The sisters (2 nuns) are assisted by local businesses and families and of course nearby monks who tend to the large and charming gardens hidden deep within the sanctuary walls. The two dedicated nuns are also, and always shall be, dearest freinds of my own mother's aunty, i suppose that makes her my extended aunt, Zia Suora Rosa Sfregola, who was also a sister serving God here for the convent for over 40 years (herself). The other two nuns, have served here for 80 years (since 1948) and 40 years consecutively. And they are indeed utterly charming.

The Abbazia di San Martino al Cimino - Parrocchia "S. Martino Vescovo" is an extraordinary structure that showcases the splendid renaissance town planning. Its architectural features are not only impressive but also hold a captivating history. The building offers breathtaking views and has witnessed remarkable events throughout its existence. It has served as a venue for various performances, enhanced by its magnificent lighting setup.
I've booked a visit there, the guide was very kind, explained very well and the story behind this building is so interesting it got me fully immersed. The architecture is very interesting and it's stunning to see the problems it had during its construction hundreds of years ago are still visible as of today!

The Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista, also known as the Church of the Gonfalone, is a stunning Baroque masterpiece that was completed in 1665. Nestled in Viterbo, this church showcases an exquisite interior divided into two sections and adorned with captivating allegorical decorations. The highlight is undoubtedly the altarpiece featuring Saint Bonaventure, depicted in a moment of divine inspiration.
This wasn't even on our list of churches in Viterbo, and yet it was a very pleasant surprise. The doors were widely open and two men were giving free and very passionate explanations about the church and its peculiarities. You have to go to be guided (I wonder how often they are there) as it is definitely the best way to visit it. One thing: it's a baroque gem.

(Translated by Google) Small church in the center of Viterbo, but with a great history. I was particularly fascinated by its paintings, by the representations placed inside, the maximum expression of the Late Baroque art of Viterbo. Mr. Pino was then so kind and helpful in explaining and illustrating every detail of those wonderful drawings, telling the origins of this church, from its construction until today. If you find yourself passing through Viterbo, I highly recommend a visit to this place (Original) Piccola chiesa nel Centro di Viterbo, ma con una grande storia. Fortune wanted that there was a gentleman present who I assume has a management role of the same, who explained to us with great competence the history of the beautiful paintings and their authors who already two hundred years ago were able to obtain in their paintings a three-dimensional effect unthinkable for those times. If you have the opportunity to visit the historic center of Viterbo this wonderful Church cannot be missed. The banner from which it takes its name, located just behind the altar, is also beautiful. Donations are free, but not obligatory. The basilica of San Francesco is a parish church and minor basilica in Viterbo, central Italy. It was built on the site of a castle that once stood, after being bombed and restored several times in its history. The most recent parish minister is active and interacts with the faithful after masses are held.

It is built from 1237 on land donated by Pope Gregory IX to the Conventual Franciscan Order (OFMConv). Outside at the right side corner is a hexagonal pulpit (1238) as a memorial of Bernardino of Siena's preaching in Viterbo. The church has a bell tower with a bell from 1259. The paintings of the ancient basilica were entirely frescoed (mostly by Antonio del Massaro) similarly to the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, most are lost when the church is partly destroyed by the Allied bombings on January 17, 1944. It is restored to its original Romanesque appearance and elevated as minor Basilica in 1949 but officially reopened in 1953. Artworks which have survived include: (1) Pietà by Tommaso Masini; (2) baptismal font and a canvas of Madonna with Child and Saints by Monaldo Trofi; (3) 1269 funerary monument of Pietro di Vico by Pietro Oderisi; (4) 1270 funerary monument of Pope Clement IV (died 1268), by Pietro Oderisi; (5) Gothic funerary monument of pope Adrian V (died 1276), attributed to Arnolfo di Cambio, with a rich Cosmatesque decoration; (6) funerary statue, in peperino, of cardinal Vicedomino de Vicedominis; (7) the funerary monument of cardinal Marco of Viterbo (died in 1369); (8) large funerary monument of cardinal Gerardo Landriani (died in 1445) (9) panel portraying Viterbo with Saints Antony of Padua and Rose of Viterbo (1572). Inside the Church there is also the relics of St. Francis and St. Elizabeth of Hungary.

(Translated by Google) It is the largest church you can see from the historic center. A fusion between baroque and neoclassical, at times a bit kitsch with bands of fake flowers at the entrance.  The original church dates back to 1200 and the name of Madonna Liberatrice derives from an ancient story. According to the testimonies and stories of chroniclers of the time, on May 28, 1320 the sky of the city was filled with demons and evil forces. Suddenly the miracle happened. The Virgin appeared to the citizens, venerated in a chapel of the church of the Trinity, who invited everyone to pray before her image. The people gathered in the church and begged for the help of the Madonna. The city was freed from demons and the image of the Virgin was given the name of Madonna Liberatrice of Viterbo. The ancient church was restored in 1421, after a fire had seriously damaged it. Subsequently, in 1700, the place of worship was completely rebuilt, as it had proven to be inadequate for the high turnout of devotees who participated in the religious celebrations. The church can be reached from the center or from the car park below.

(Translated by Google) The church of Santa Maria del Rosario is located on the left, as soon as you enter Piazza Castello, within the ancient core of the town, between the Gate and the Palazzo della Loggia. The presence of a church dedicated to Santa Maria has been attested in the village since 1182. Since the mid-14th century it has been managed by the Disciplinati brotherhood which will continue to be present in Bagnaia until 1611. In 1541 Cardinal Niccolò Ridolfi modified the access gate to the village, which also involved the complete remodeling of the adjacent church. The works began in 1553 and in 1555 Cardinal Gambara had the old door of the church walled up and the current one built with a flight of stairs, on which the notaries of the time worked and signed deeds. In 1587 the confraternity of the disciplined, which in the meantime had changed its name to become the confraternity of San Giovanni, moved to the new church outside the walls and Santa Maria remained abandoned. In the year 1589, the confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary of the Virgin Mary was established, which, in 1656, transformed the church into its own oratory, changing its name to Santa Maria del Rosario. We owe its current appearance to the intervention of Cardinal Marcello Federico Lante della Rovere, who had it restored in 1755, "removing the three shelves it had, closing the small door which occupied the square with two-branch stairs, reforming the staircase of the large door, narrowing the steps that opened in a frame gave access to a staircase backed by the wall on the side with ornaments above: diminishing the altars and chapels that there were in quantity and by having only two of them made with a symmetry alluding to the other ancient one of the main altar and finally by making a solid but competent attic to remove the not very pleasant view of the roof which only covered it". After the eighteenth-century renovation, the church maintains only three altars: the main one, still dedicated to the Madonna del Rosario; the one in cornu Epistolae dedicated to Saint Elizabeth, Queen of Portugal and the other, cornu Evangeli, to Saint Philip Neri. In 1849 the church was closed to worship due to its extremely degraded conditions, and only six years later did the restoration work directed by the architect Crispino Bongente begin. It was reopened for worship in 1866 and in 1877 the staircase was restored.

Nestled near a bustling road, the Church of St. Anthony offers a serene escape from the surrounding chaos. While its exterior may show signs of wear, stepping inside reveals a tranquil atmosphere perfect for reflection. One of the highlights is the stunning statue of Mary, which captivates visitors with its beauty. The church also holds rich local history, featuring stories that unite rival factions within the community—a reminder to embrace collaboration over conflict. In fact there is a plaque which recalls how two companies, literally rivals, of the town were brought together in order to stop the unrest. In short, it's a bit like saying: don't beat yourself up and collaborate. However, in its simplicity, inside it is full of interesting paintings and statues to read and admire, of which it is easy to find every type of historical information. It should be remembered that this brotherhood was also permitted under fascism, as recalled by a plaque placed in the church, while outside we note the plaque commemorating its foundation by Cardinal Gambara.

Catholic church
Chiesa di Santa Maria del Paradiso, a church with origins dating back to 1220, has undergone significant transformations over the centuries. Despite being repurposed as a garage, kennel, and barracks from the 1800s to the mid-1900s and being destroyed during World War II bombings, it was reconstructed in recent times. The church now showcases a rose window above its portal that is worth admiring.

(Translated by Google) Church that some scholars date back to 1220. Unfortunately what we see is nothing of the original construction. From the 1800s through the mid-1900s, the church was out of luck. It was also used as a garage, kennel and barracks. It was destroyed by the bombings of the Second World War and rebuilt in recent times. One thing to admire is the rose window above the portal. Adjacent to the church, worth visiting, is the magnificent Cistercian cloister.

(Translated by Google) Hello everyone, I am a former student of the school, I am here to share my traumas related to this institution in full democracy. In 3 very long hellish years I saw favoritism related to related people within the institute, terrible teachers, who violated my patience. The other students in the other classes, quite retarded, tried in every way to target me, and of all the teachers, only one had intervened. I have MANY other things to say but unfortunately my time is precious and I have no time to waste, I wish you good teaching, and I hope you can improve. PS: I don't tolerate all the people who have come out of this institute. Have a good life, best regards, AMEN. Buona vita, cordiali saluti, AMEN.
