1Hotel Silken Luis de León

Hotel
Hotel Silken Luis de León is a professional and comfortable hotel located in the main commercial district of Leon. The sleek wood-panelled lobby welcomes guests into modern guestrooms with Italian marble bathrooms. The hotel's restaurant specializes in traditional cuisine, offering signature dishes like cecina (salted, smoked beef). With plenty of shopping and dining opportunities nearby, as well as historic sights within a 10-minute walk, the hotel provides everything needed for an enjoyable stay whether for business or leisure.
Its just from 10 to 15min walking distance to downtown which is very convenient. You are near but at the same time you can avoid the crowd. From outside the hotel looks old but the rooms are like brand new, I guess they just refurbished the rooms. Rooms are big, clean and tidy. it has a good value for price as well.
Rutas A — Google review
Super friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, great breakfast and very good location. The rooms were a bit hot and not the best sound insulation (we stayed Friday night and woken up a few times by party people!) but otherwise great stay
Stebu P — Google review
There were no nappkins in roon,No glass to drink for usage . For breakfast space is too low as per numbers of persons taking breakfast at a same time There was a long queue for coffe machine only two coffe machins for 50 people at a same time.buffet was not continental just simple. Only found one bolied egg that was cold. No yaourts. It looked like that they did nit wantes people to take enough for eating. Space for putting dishes is too narrow everyone was colliding with eachother and service was coimg going disruption etc
JAVID R — Google review
Decent generic mid range chain hotel. Spent about ~100€ a night on a weekend in July. Beds were disappointing for the price, not terrible but closer to cheap hotel bed than nice hotel bed. Had AC. Great shower and water pressure. English spoken, I think. Not a good value but I wouldn’t be opposed to staying here again Easy to access by car. Across from Corte ingles and several other similar chain hotels, short walk into downtown. Some good local cafe bars around the corner as well
Nms 1 — Google review
We had a handbag stolen from our room whilst we were out for dinner. There was no evidence of a break in so the only other way in to the room is by swipe card. The opportunist theft could only have been by hotel staff. When I alerted the hotel that a theft had occurred, they were not interested in any way to provide assistance. I asked them to call the police - They refused. I asked then to call the manager who was not on site at the time - they refused. The loss of €500 was bad enough but the inconvenience of stolen credit cards leaves a very sour taste. Hotel Silken is not a place that can be trusted and their total contempt for a customer is incredibly poor. Not only was this unbelievable, the hotels response to this review shows their complete contempt. The lies are they tell are incredible. Do not stay and if you do, keep your belongings safe as they have a criminal in their employ.
Andrew M — Google review
For the price rooms are clean and comfortable apart from no A/c until 23 June. There's no way to cool room other than opening the window which is difficult because of the street noise.
Eion H — Google review
Central in front of El Cortes Ingles store, very kind people, spacy bedroom, top shower temp and pressure
Stéphane L — Google review
Very average 1970's hotel with the world's slowest internet. Also for those doing Camino Francis, it's a fair way out of the old part of town

Hotel
Hotel Real Colegiata San Isidoro is a Romanesque-style accommodation located within the stunning 11th-century San Isidoro Colegiate complex in Leon. The hotel offers unfussy rooms, free breakfast, and a formal restaurant. The ancient stone walls provide a cool retreat from the Spanish heat while sleek modern interiors add to the comfort. The hotel's staff is attentive, and it boasts modern conveniences along with exceptional food offerings.
Magical place . Small rooms honouring the history of the building. Service was great. Breakfast was great. A shame that I couldn't have dinner with a show in the magnificent courtyard. A memorable experience.
Darryl K — Google review
The hotel is well situated but somehow you can't help thinking they have missed something. No bar, dinner starts at 20:30, food and drinks were ok but expensive and no a vegetable on any menu option. OK enough but not exceptional
Malcolm L — Google review
Great place. The only issue I had was getting there. That's a bit difficult to get to the lobby area, besides that, all good.
Bobby D — Google review
Room very warm, so asked at reception, who said air conditioner does not work at the hotel (May 2025). They just shrugged their shoulders as if a customer has to accept! Not good enough. Do bit recommend.
Nick O — Google review
Even though the theme is classic, the decoration could have a lot more personality... One long pillow for a double bed is also weird. How am I supposed to share a giant pillow with someone else? Also, a hotel without a bar for guests to drink, especially when they have live music nights sounds a little ... ridiculous? They could make a lot of money from people stopping by for a drink and tapas while listening to music...
Ana V — Google review
We booked this hotel as a treat on our Camino. It was beautiful, relaxing and quiet, and in a great position to visit other sites around Leon
Robert L — Google review
Fantastic hotel in a great location. We stayed in a named room, Agosto, which was wonderful. Huge comfortable bed and very nice bathroom. The restaurant was very good and hotel staff very helpful. The car park is adjacent to the main entrance just around the corner. To access with a car you need to drive around the front of the Basilica and head left this takes you around towards the hotel and parking. Excellent value and would definitely recommend.
Malcolm T — Google review
Great hotel in a historic monastery near the center of everything in Leon. The cuisine, service, and rooms are outstanding. The rooms have modern amenities and are quite comfortable. Highly recommend the tasting menu dinner and concert held during the summer months.

Located in the heart of Leon's historic core on Plaza Mayor, Hotel NH Collection León Plaza Mayor offers refined rooms and suites with modern amenities like Nespresso machines and a pillow menu for a comfortable stay. The hotel is housed in a renovated 19th-century building with sleek furnishings and an innovative restaurant and bar. This is a 5 star, 4 star Hotel... the staff are super, very attentive. The parking while extra was very handy. The location was perfect, especially if you get room 206... (stunning) The breakfast was excellent. This NH Hotel exceeded our expectations... Our room was spacious with ample wardrobe storage and causal seating to enjoy the view.. very quite at night, highly recommend. Very comfortable.
Liz T — Google review
Great hotel with an amazing location looking over the main Plaza. Friendly service and comfortable rooms. Recommended hotel in León.
Sheldon W — Google review
Another great NH experience in León. The hotel is fantastically located wth excellent parking. Our room was well appointed with amenities including stocked mini bar, welcome treats for us and our dog. Breakfast buffet was outstanding and well worth the 18 euro PP charge. Employees were welcoming and cheerful without fail throughout our stay. Bravo NH team!
Jeff I — Google review
Fantastic location. If you are arriving by your own vehicle, parking is a bit tricky, as is getting to the reception/front desk, as signage is minimal. But there is a garage behind the hotel/plaza, so park there. Then go into the elevator (located nearest the gate you drive through), and take it up. It will empty you into the Plaza Mayor and the hotel front door is just to your right. That out of the way, the hotel is clean, very comfortable, very quiet. Breakfast and the restaurant is good. Service is great, friendly, and attentive. As others have said, there is absolutely no way to take shower that will not leave your bathroom floor soaking wet. This needs to be remedied. But the shower has plenty of water pressure and gets plenty hot. Also as others have stated, there is a bit of a dust issue in the room, and I have no idea why this is the case, because over all the room was immaculate. But I wiped down the nightstand, tables, etc, and then later it looked as if it had been on a dust storm. But beyond that, the room is very nice. Bed is a spring mattress, not memory foam, but it is very firm and comfortable. It also has air conditioning. If you have a room facing the plaza, not only are the doors to the bcony, but there are also interior shutters and black out curtains. This allows the room to become very dark for sleeping (a big plus), and also pretty much eliminates the noise from the plaza and its tabernas and cafes. The location is a dream. Right on the plaza mayor, steps from the cathedral, close to all sights, shopping, and restaurants. Also, on Wednesday and Saturday, the Plaza Mayor Mercadillo/Farmers' Market takes place directly in front of the hotel, and it's amazing. In short, yes, there are a couple of minor issues, but it's a fine hotel and I would gladly stay here anytime I am in the area.
Jaded G — Google review
This is an awesome and elegant hotel! After many long days on the Camino, I treated myself to a weekend here and was not disappointed. I enjoyed the very quiet room and the large bathroom. They have a wide selection of food for breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and several speak English (sorry; my Spanish is not that good). It is centrally located in the centre of the old town of León. Well done!!!
Guenther M — Google review
The gentleman at the reception was very friendly. The room cleanliness was very disappointing. As you can see from the pictures the dust was so thick on every surface of the room. The sink had toothpaste residue and hair. The sheets on one side of the bed were not clean. Hotel has a nice location but definitely does not meet the standards of a 4 star hotel with the hygiene. There was also a weird smell when entering the room.
Arctic D — Google review
The location of this hotel can not be better. If you like walking you can see all touristic places of Leon by 15000 steps from the hotel. While your car is parked in their parking. Rooms are good side , very clean, with amenities and facilities. Breakfast is very good. Hotel is accessible for people using wheelchair. Hotel is pet friendly. If I go back to Leon, definitely will stay in this hotel
Sanaz N — Google review
The hotel is located in the Plaza Mayor and could not be more central in Leon. The room was modern and clean. The staff was professional and helpful. This was my second stay at this hotel.

Guests can unwind in warm rooms and spacious suites, some featuring luxurious whirlpool tubs that add a touch of indulgence to your stay.
What a great hotel. Central location, easy to park and a lift right to the rooms. Our room was the most spacious we've had in years, with a lot of shelving to put things on and generous wardrobe space. The bathroom was also spacious and well equipped. Aircon isn't noisy. We had twin beds which were wider than normal and very comfortable.
Janet L — Google review
5 Stars - amazing little hotel awesome staff, and they even have GF options for breakfast. The hotel overlooks a square with bars and restaurants. Situated in a quiet area of Leon Old Town. I'm definitely coming back. The only issue was google Maps when driving, which can't navigate the Old Town areas, but a police escort helped us find this hidden gem.
Caroline M — Google review
Excellent place. Large, clean comfortable room over looking a beautiful, peaceful square with some great food and drink options right nearby. Also, easy walk to all the old town attractions. Very friendly, helpful staff.

One of the best hotels on Camino Frances! Perfectly located in the wonderful city of León. Super friendly reception and rooms are excellent with great beds, spacious and quite. Very close to the cathedral, tapas bars and camino track.

Great value for money. Top location in the historic center on a beautifull square, at a 10 minute walk from the cathedral. Very friendly and helpful reception. Private parking. Nice big and clean rooms.

A very nice hotel with spacious rooms. Centrally located in the old quarters of Leon. Very welcoming staff. Very quiet and a nice place to rest after a long el Camino walk. The only improvement I can suggest is the breakfast. It was average.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of León's Old Town, Hotel Alda Vía León is a delightful boutique hotel that beautifully marries history with comfort. With its cheerful yellow-walled rooms adorned with antique wooden furniture and charming exposed brickwork, this hotel offers a cozy retreat for travelers. The polished wooden floors and traditional accents create an inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after exploring the nearby stunning Medieval architecture or visiting the modern Casa Botines designed by Antoni Gaudí.
Lovely hotel right in the middle of Leon. Well organised, clean, quiet. No fuss. Breakfast is terrific. Overall great value. I’d stay again.
Paul T — Google review
Terrible experience. The A/C did not work. I requested a fan, but the desk clerk did not have any. I opened the window, trying desperately to cool the room, only to be kept up well past midnight by loud noises from the street. The room is so hot, that I am sweating profusely and finally went down to the lobby at 11:30 pm to cool off. Do not waste your money on this hotel in the summer months.
Kim Q — Google review
We had a wonderful 2-night stay here while hiking the Camino. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and it was so nice to have a bathtub to soak in after a few cold days hiking. The location is perfect, breakfast was plentiful and the restaurant downstairs is great. Most of all, the staff was super and they went out of their way for us to have a great stay. I injured my knee and we needed to change some travel plans for our next few nights so they helped us with all arrangements, cancelling other hotels, transferring bags, etc. and took a genuine interest in helping us. Highly recommend!
Stephanie D — Google review
False advertising when it comes to A/C. Not working. Also hair dryer broken. Should not be 3 stars. We're cancelling our second night as almost 30c in the room is not ok. Location is good, that is it. Very disappointed.
Johannes S — Google review
This hotel is a gem. So centrally located yet not on the Main Street. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the price is unbeatable. I had a great stay here. Loved every bit of it including the vintage bathroom the little balcony and the great bed and linens.

Restaurant
Parador de León is a stunning five-star hotel that offers guests a unique experience within the historic walls of the 16th-century Convent of San Marcos. This remarkable establishment beautifully blends its rich history with modern luxury, featuring elegant rooms adorned with antiques and charming four-poster beds. Guests can enjoy exquisite dining options in an upscale restaurant and unwind at a stylish bar while sampling fine northern Spanish wines.
I was expecting to compromise on the quality of the room/facilities/food/service to stay in this magnificent historical building at a premium price, but there are no compromises here. This is the best of the best, true 5 stars and worth every penny. Impressive work by the management, the staff, the architects and the decorators.
Andrei A — Google review
Parador de Leon is outstanding! The building is amazing and the modern rooms are superb. It is super quiet & located in a picturesque spot overlooking the river. It’s an easy walk into the centre of Leon and the car park is huge. The terrace bar is a must! Breakfast was good but not outstanding & some of the breakfast & bar staff were a bit lacking in friendliness but the hotel amenities are top quality. Extremely comfortable bed!
Gabrielle — Google review
Incredible building, feels like a real castle. A very special experience. The rooms are a bit dated though, and could use a renovation for the price you pay. Service is fine, but can be slow. It's beautiful for photos and to experience history, just don't expect modern luxury in the room. Good for a short visit.
Harry M — Google review
By far the most impressive hotel I’ve stayed in, Parador de Leon is a Palace which has been skilfully converted into a luxurious hotel. Works of art, sculptures and historical features blend with very modern amenities giving a fascinating ambiance, the rooms are generously sized, bathrooms amazing, and I highly recommend this place.
Roger B — Google review
We booked a two night stay to celebrate the completion of our Camino. Huge mistake. We were given a room facing the Plaza and it is impossible to sleep because of the partying happening. The windows are of very poor quality. We stayed in much less expensive hotels while on the Camino with excellent noise insulation. There is no sleep tonight for us at all. It is currently 2:30 am and there is no letting up of the music and yelling into microphones. Even with the AC fan running and earplugs, the horrendous noise prevents sleep. It is extremely loud. If you are given a room overlooking the plaza, absolutely refuse it if you want any sleep at all. Request a room on the other side. Very nice room, but without sleep it becomes a very bad one and a very pricey one at that. Unfortunately review videos do not include sound or I would share the noise fest party happening in our room. Edit after next night: We were moved for the following night and had a lovely, quiet room in the back of the hotel. We understand that “city noise” happens but in a 5* hotel, the windows should be of a quality that reduces it as much as possible. That is not the case with the rooms facing the front plaza.
Linda B — Google review
One of the most beautiful hotels I have been to. Overall the setting is really exceptional, the cloister is beautiful, the architecture and history! The inside of the hotel is renovated and furnished with taste I enjoyed, combination of art, medieval furniture and modern design. The hotel itself is missing 5-stars hotel and room amenities (spa, turndown service, bathrobes, minibar not included, guest experience,…) if you are looking for that. On the other hand the price is also low for a 5-stars hotel and you still get an exceptional experience :) The breakfast very similar to other Paradores, a bit of everything. The only thing I don’t like on holidays is to have to book a time slot for breakfast, but thats is a case in many Paradores too.
Lucie C — Google review
Good and bad It depends what you rate Building is incredible and this more than five stars Room is not at standard when it comes to air conditioning stopping every 3 hours meaning you have to wake up due to heat and restart it. Electrical control of the lights does not work. To turn off and on you have to remove the key to restart the system Guided tour is a great idea but please a decent guide. Our guide was so unpleasant and bored The palace itself is amazing The balcony on the church !!! The cloister !!! Staff at front desk was vey nice

Ive travelled a lot but this is by far the most stunning hotel I've ever stopped in. It's is so beautiful and has such a lot of history behind it .our room was absolutely amazing. The bathroom was huge with 2 sinks ,bidet toilet ,a shower and seperate bath .the wardrobes had automatic lights that came on when you opened the door. A mini bar .we had chairs a soffa ,large dressing table .sockets everywhere the decor was just perfect. There were gowns and slippers to use too .the breakfast spread was beautiful. You could have a buffet breakfast or order hot food cooked to order fresh .we didnt use the restaurant but the menu looked fantastic .overall this hotel is superior. On our next stay in leon ill be staying here and for longer .we didn't want to leave .it also has secure covered outside car parking .such an amazeing hotel

Located in the heart of Leon, Hotel Riosol is an unassuming property with a restaurant and bar. The rooms all come with river views and are unfussy, some featuring balconies. The hotel is just 3 minutes from the bus and train stations, making it easy to explore the city.
I had a panic the last night I was there because of a glitch with my credit card booking my onward accomodation and the person at the front desk (Sergio--afternoon to 11 shift on Nov 3rd) did everything in is power to help until the issue was resolved. The service was very good the whole time and the staff were all friendly, but I'd give it 5 stars just based on that one encounter. The rooms are fine and clean but not fancy and the location is great, particularly for those areiving by train, as others have said.
STEVE W — Google review
The room is a bit old, but location is just 1 minute walk from the train station.
Chao C — Google review
The place is great, everything is not too far away. The service is pretty good too, but it's cold, soundproofing doesn't exist, same breakfast every day, wifi is terrible and the room doors are very hard to manage. Rooms are clean and are well taken care of, but besides that, nothing too good. For cheap, it is possible to stay here.
Rūta S — Google review
I am really gutted as this hotel ruined my entire stay in Leon. I booked for two nights, and I arrived in the morning of day 1. They told me I could check in for free and the could accommodate me being earlier than 3 pm! I booked a double room, they said they had only single rooms. They put me in a single room, they charged me an extra night for the few extra hours even though they had said it was free!!! They also charged me the price of double room for the single room. The morning staff were horrible, the lady was super rude and mean, the guy was always high on drugs! There was no respect or kindness to customers! Rough, rude and cheap service! Never ever seen anything like it. Avoid it while you can!
Amjad B — Google review
Only the price and reception are good. Also location is great, close to train and bus stations and not far from city centre. Now.... Soundproof is non existent and everything can be heard from everywhere. The hotel is old and in desperate need of renovation and freshen up. It looks old, tired and wear off. The worst are the mattresses, and that's the most important part! We checked several rooms and all were similar: very very soft. Bed are awful really. Yet, it's a cheap hotel so.... Your choice. Not for me, definitely.
M S — Google review
It's a decent hotel just next to the train station and 10 min to the city center. It's a bit run down and lacking some renovation but it's clean. The bed was a bit too hard for my taste and pillow also not great. Surprisingly we had a window to the main street but you don't hear much and can sleep well.
Lukas S — Google review
Located in a nice setting, beside the river and very close to the old town. Most restaurants are across the river with lots of choices. The hotel represents good value. I would stay here again.
Richard B — Google review
Other than being in a great location, there is no reason for this hotel to be anything above 2 star. Bed was worse than being in a tent, squeaked like a duck at every small movement and was so wornout there was a permanent hole where people sit before laying down. If the bed didn't wake you up your neighbor did between the guy throwing up next door and the couple trying to make a baby above were very clearly heard as most hostels are queiter than these rooms. Other tidbits, hair on the floor, hot/cold water misslabeled in the shower ( fun learning that) a air-conditioner that didn't work, and apparently the water pipes from above rooms run through yours so you hear when your neighbor is flushing ect.

Crisol Quindós is a unique hotel that offers a laid-back atmosphere with an eclectic mix of artwork throughout its quarters, restaurant, and lounge. The hotel's decor combines warm materials, modernist touches, and carefully curated art pieces to create a distinct personality in each space. The rooms are designed with attention to detail and offer a comfortable stay. While the building may be old, the cleanliness and warmth of the rooms along with friendly staff make for an enjoyable experience.
5 stars for a 3 stars hotel. As even if the building was quite old, the rooms were really clean and warm, and the staff was very friendly. Really impressed by the history knowledge of Michael, who was very friendly and gave us many useful information about the beautiful city of Leon. Thank you 🙏

Utter madness! Disaster! I feel like I was squeezed in a small box. Shower disintegrated upon first attempt to use it. No A/C, heavy unpleasant smell hits you as soon as you get in the lobby and lingers throughout; the room - a tiny cubicle has unfunctioning safe and no curtains whatsoever. Staff is friendly, bed sheets seem clean and location is convenient, but that’s all about the positives. Surprised to find my room door unlocked and wide-opened upon arrival. No fridge in the room, bathroom door wouldn’t close. Carpet in the hallways is likely from the previous century- stained and stinky. Oh boy, what standards do they have here for rating hotels?!

Great location & price. An old property with some updates (good shower, TV, WiFi) within walking distance of the centre.

Great value, clean rooms. Sadly just a few peopls of the staff speaks English and the breakfast ca use a little more attention. No laundry service in the hotel, so be prepared.
Peter K — Google review
It has seen better days! My room was small, the phone didn't work, the shutter didn't come down properly, and the bathtub was one of those half sized ones. None of this mattered much, but as it was a holiday they charged me 50 for the room for one person which was a bit expensive for what I got. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff were nice. Would have given it 4 stars but for the price.

Stayed in room 608 on a Thursday. Great value hotel in Leon and friendly staff. I had a window that opened to a nice view from the front of the hotel. My room also had a fan and air-conditioning.

Friendly and helpful reception. Room was clean and had everything you'd expect. Good location. WiFi was not brilliant and I was a little tall for the bed ( I'm 5 ft 10 / 1.78 m).

Room was large, clean, and comfortable. Decor felt a bit dated. Service was efficient and friendly. WiFi was so slow it was completely useless. Overall, I would recommend this place but only if you can live without wifi.

This modern hotel offers bright, air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TV and free internet access. It is located in central Leon, within walking distance of Casa Botines and Leon Cathedral.
Just a perfect night in a quite, tidy and cleab room. The bathroom was big enough, the bed absolutely confortable, the air conditioning was running all night but it wasn't noisy. And it is just 10 minutes walking to the historic center of the city.
Imelda P — Google review
I am very familiar with this hotel chain, but this one is a surprise exception. There is only one small elevator on the 8th floor, and the location is not like what a hotel should be. The air conditioning is completely useless and the noise is huge. I didn't sleep well the whole night and got a headache in the morning.
Daniel W — Google review
Nice and clean hotel.About a 15 min walk from the old town. Beds were comfortable and situated in a quiet area. A good stay for 1 to 2 nights for an economic price.
Myron B — Google review
Rooms are clean, showers are good, staff is friendly and they have free internet. Breakfast is ok, food and plates are clean. Plenty of juice to choose from. The only issue I got was the WiFi signal. It is very poor and only available at times in the lobby, so if you have a tablet or want to surf from your phone, good luck. However if you got a laptop, they provide you with an Ethernet cable so you can connect in your room and if the worse comes to the worse they also have a public computer so you can get online. Excellent value for money.

Four shooting stars hotel Paying an average of 130 euros a night for this quality is a big no, go somewhere else for that price. We were freezing in the room with a broken ventilation system, lift is for 4 people and takes ages (crowded at breakfast)

Had a very comfortable stay in the hotel. The staff is helpful and kind. And breakfast was good

We asked for rooms next to each other, but we got ones separated by lift/stairs. Aircon in room is directed towards the bed, a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast was OK. Good price and location.

Hotel
Aparthotel Exe Campus San Mamés is a modern hotel located in the contemporary part of Leon, right across from the Vegazana Campus of the University. The hotel offers unfussy studios with kitchenettes, free parking, and breakfast. It provides spacious and sunny rooms with an efficiency kitchen, TV, and bathtub. The hotel is suitable for university-related events or visits to the Hospital Complex of Leon due to its proximity.
Highly recommended …. easily the best value accommodation we found during our month-long trip. Modern, with very large apartment-style woods, with well-equipped kitchen area and good sized ensuite bathroom. Large, comfortable bed, everything spotlessly clean. Excellent buffet-style breakfast included - including hot scrambled eggs and bacon, good choice of cakes/pastries, a few cereal options, and the usual juices, hot drinks, etc. (Could usefully have had a couple more bread options available but that’s a small niggle in relation to what was offered.) Long reception opening hours with very helpful staff. The kitchen facilities (including fridge) would make this an excellent choice for a self-catering stay - there is a large supermarket nearby. It’s about a 20 minute easy walk from the centre of Leon, or you can catch a bus nearby.
George H — Google review
A bit outside the city centre of León but transportation is easy. You can walk for 5-10 mins. The rooms are clean. The heating works well. But you have to ask for hair dryer from reception if you need so. The cafeteria serves breakfast. The breakfast is average and the cafeteria is small and kinda narrow (only 10-12 tables.) Sometimes they ask you to leave so others can eat. The staff doesn't speak English very well so you can find it hard to communicate if you don't speak Spanish.
Musa K — Google review
Friendly staff, nothing is a problem. Very good breakfast. Notes: 1. Apparently chairs and hard floor cause a lot of noise downstairs, so be careful. 2. If you open the window you may get some cigarette smoke from your neighbours.

Nestled in the heart of León, Hotel La Posada Regia offers a delightful blend of old-world charm and modern comfort. Housed in a historic building, this cozy hotel features uniquely styled rooms that exude warmth and character. Guests can enjoy a rustic restaurant and a charming coffee shop on-site, along with complimentary Wi-Fi to stay connected during their travels.
Rustic chic meets modern comfort in the heart of Leon's old town shopping area. Love this hotel with it's creaking floorboards, stone walls, and cosy warm rooms in Winter. It's a crying shame to have missed out on the food in the attached restaurant, but I hope to return one day.
CECILIA F — Google review
La Posada Regia enjoys an excellent location in León, right in the centre and just off the main street, yet fairly quiet. If the facade of the building is nice but nothing special, stepping into the hotel is like time travelling to the XV Century, with ceiling and wall beams, brick walls, wooden floors and stairs, antique furniture! The rooms are of generous size and in line with the hotel style, so don't expect new furnishing but enjoy their old and warm character! The downside is that acoustic insulation is not perfect and, due to the beautiful wooden floors, if you are not on the top floor the noise of the steps above are definitely heard. Service is ok while the breakfast should be improved, as the semi-buffet (part of the breakfast is buffet, part found already at the tables) choices and quantities are rather limited. Highly recommended.
Daniele F — Google review
On April 28, 2025, Spain experienced an unprecedented power outage. My family and I, with our six-year-old child, were supposed to reach León and spend the night there. Obviously, we could not get there or communicate with the hotel for more than 15 hours. The hotel kept the money and did not offer us any alternatives. This is the kind of treatment you should expect from this management in such extraordinary cases.
Francesco C — Google review
Reasonbaly priced hotel ideally located for most tourist activities. The building it self is quite old, in a historic sense, with exposed wooden beams and creaky stairs, which look very nice. The place was clean. My room didnt't have great views but then a hotel room to me is where I sleep and take a shower, nothing more, so that was fine.
Un V — Google review
Nice and clean enough for the price. However, they don't offer coffee or anything to their guests unless they pre-order a full breakfast.
RKK — Google review
The hotel is old/historic. Lots of charm. Friendly and helpful staff. However if you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. The floors creek, walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors. This is not a criticism, just a warning. The location is wonderful. Close to the cathedral and Calle Ancha and an easy walk to and from the train station.
Robert M — Google review
Only went to eat. Serves traditional Spanish regional food. Excellent. Service was wonderful
Stephen P — Google review
We are walking the Camino and wanted a nice stop in Leon and booked this hotel. For a great price we had a nice room right in the city Center and great experience. We had to have a short break from our pilgrimage and when we returned a few days later we came back to the hotel - for double the price we got a really substandard room where window is facing some loft above a restaurant - with all the noise and smell. In short - keep away from room 207. Horrible. Reception claimed they were full and since we were the last to arrive this is what we got (or deserved ?). Exactly what you want to hear after a full day travelling - not.

A nightmare stay. There was a family on my floor with multiple rooms that stayed up until 1 am on my first night, yelling and occasionally switching between the rooms. The doors in this hotel cannot be closed quietly and each time, it’s a loud boom. I asked them to quiet down and they ignored me. I complained to reception the next day. She said she would speak with those guests, but did not offer to switch my room. It might be because there were no vacancies or because it’s a very small hotel and you could probably hear this family in every single room anyway. The next night, it lasted until 2 am. With two nights of disrupted sleep, it ruined my trip to León. This hotel’s reception leaves at 3 PM, so you have absolutely no recourse with unruly guests that keep you up through the paper thin walls. The only thing that could have made the stay worse would have been bed bugs! There’s also no desk and nowhere to put your soap/shampoo in the shower other than the floor.

Art Museums
Casa Botines is a striking modernist building in Leon, Spain, designed by the legendary architect Antoni Gaudi. Constructed between 1891 and 1892, it was originally intended as a residential and commercial space. The edifice showcases Gaudi's unique style, blending neo-Gothic influences with his signature modernist touch. Today, Casa Botines serves as a museum displaying Spanish paintings and houses the FUNDOS art collection spanning from the fifteenth to the twentieth centuries.
Casa Botines is one of Gaudi’s modernist masterpieces that happens to be outside of his native Catalunya. Originally build in 1892 for apartments and commercial space (on the ground and lower ground floors), Casa Botines is now a museum that houses artifacts from its heyday and also works of art. While it is a bit subdued compared to some of the genius architect Gaudi’s other works, the museum and the tour are well worth it. Highly recommend especially for those who appreciate modernist architect and Gaudi in particular.
Nanita — Google review
If you’re a Gaudí lover, don’t miss Casa Botines in León! I visited it today and was so pleased. The audio guide unveils so many fascinating details about the house, Gaudí’s life, and the hidden symbolism woven into the building’s design. The beautifully reconstructed rooms offer a glimpse into how the spaces would have looked in Gaudí’s time. A section allows to delve into Gaudí’s creative mind, his deep connection to nature, geometry, and meaning, making the experience even more special. On the third floor, a rich art collection awaits, with highlights being Dalí’s Divine Comedy illustrations and Goya’s Caprichos. An inspiring and beautifully curated visit, highly recommended to anyone intrigued by Gaudí’s world beyond Barcelona!
Tanio C — Google review
Lovely Gaudi building. The building process documented on interesting display boards in Spanish and English. The highlight for us was the Goya etchings, the Los Caprichos, on the 3rd floor. A look into the mind of a genius artist.
Linda B — Google review
One of only three Gaudi buildings outside of Barcelona, Casa Botines is perhaps Gaudi's most conservative structure. That said it is still wild in its irregular beauty.
Nirav D — Google review
The building is very nice, but the museum part is very plain. Maybe it is because I am a foreigner, but I couldn't watch and analyze too long some modern arts and old house parts, just like the bathroom. There are 3 levels, and there are rooms where just posters about the architecture and methods. I don't regret this 9 euro, but I thought it would be something amazing (according to the lot of good reviews).

Great modernist building in Leon 🔝 Casa Botines is one of the three projects outside Barcelona by Antoni Gaudi. When in Leon don’t miss it ! Highly recommended ! Camino de Santiago ( 21 apr - day 18 ) Visited April 2025
Alina M — Google review
Casa Botines is a must-visit landmark in León, especially for those interested in architecture, history, or the works of Antoni Gaudí. One of only a few Gaudí buildings located outside of Catalonia, Casa Botines stands out with its neo-Gothic façade, pointed towers, and striking stonework—resembling more a medieval castle than a city building. The museum inside offers a well-curated experience that combines art, architecture, and history. Visitors can learn about Gaudí’s vision, the building’s origins as a textile warehouse and bank, and its later restoration. The exhibition includes original sketches, furniture, and informative displays in both Spanish and English, making it accessible to international visitors. There are also temporary exhibitions and a small but interesting art collection on the upper floors. A highlight is the chance to see some of the original architectural elements up close, as well as the preserved office spaces that transport you back in time. The building is also beautifully lit in the evening and worth viewing from the outside, even after hours. Casa Botines isn’t just for architecture enthusiasts—it’s a key piece of León’s cultural heritage and a great stop for anyone wanting to appreciate Gaudí’s lesser-known but equally impressive work.
Wilder F — Google review
Stunning building by Gaudi, it’s not as decorated as those building in Barcelona, with those details display in English as well, help us to be more enjoyable to know about stories behind this place!

Nice and quite in the mornings. Nice place to sit, relax, read a book or just contemplate the church and plaza it self. At nights on weekends it gets busy with all the bars around but it is also great if you like that atmosphere.

Excellent location. Expensive. Bed was large and quite comfortable. We took the last double available, which was very close to reception. That meant constant noise during business hours. Then, because the thermostat was not functioning in our room, we had the window open the first night, and the noise from some kind of compressor or fan outside our window was extremely loud all night. The second night of our stay we kept the window closed and the room was very quiet, but got hot and stuffy. I asked for the thermostat to be reset but that was never done. Breakfast is generous but service doesn't start until 9am. €18, which unfortunately seems to be the going rate in this part of Spain.
Elizabeth M — Google review
We had some trouble with the air conditioning. We could not get it configured correctly ourselves, so we asked the staff to do it for us. They were very helpful and friendly and assured us everything was set correctly. Unfortunately it was not and the room was very hot during the night. The next day, we asked again and they changed the settings, assuring that everything was set correctly this time. However, the room was still very hot. It seems like the aie conditioning system isn't powerful enough to cool the room enough. It was 25° while the outside temperature was not more than 29°. I'm not sure what this will give in summer.

Had lunch on their rooftop terrace (best to make a table reservation) - but did not stay at the hotel itself. The location is spectacular, even while it was quite windy when we were there. The food is OK, but not spectacular and rather pricy compared to most other places in León. The quality of the service was rather mediocre (some things ordered never came, attention to guests was rather low).

Nestled in the vibrant heart of León, Le Petit León is a charming hotel that perfectly captures the essence of this lively city. Just a stone's throw away from iconic landmarks like Plaza Mayor and León Cathedral, it offers guests an ideal base for exploring local tapas bars and cultural sites. The hotel features colorful, individually decorated rooms that are both simple and functional, ensuring comfort during your stay.
A few steps to the Cathedral, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de San Martin in the busy area of Leon. Great reception. Nice and clean room.

The good: Great location Kind and friendly staff, helpful with pointing out the best locations in Leon. Rooms look pretty and it was clean. Rooms where properly stocked with soap and towels. The bad: Our room was in pretty bad state, shower door was unable to slide properly, the shower head would not stick to the wall. The bed lights were not properly tightened so they would hang off the wall like dead leaves. It just felt like the room was held together with hopes and prayers. This is shame because with bit of maintenance this could be easily fixed. We stayed on a Saturday so there were loud drunk people in the streets till very late. Which made our night pretty rough. They do provide earplugs for this. Overall our experience was not pleasant.

Veryp urban and trendy, ideal for Young people. Great bar and pub with very diversed offer of tapas and drinks. The rooms are clean and simple, but functional. All u need in the heart of Leon... U should plan your arrival if you are driving because it might be confusing to get there by car

Bedbug infestation:( We were looking forward to have a romantic getaway in León but we started to get itchy as soon as we entered the room and when we flipped the mattress, we saw the bedbugs. Spent rest of the night washing all of our things and looking for a bug free hotel.. Terrible experience

Always a place we visit when travelling around Spain good quality store and a nice place to eat. Special thanks to Antonio in men’s clothing his English was very good and helped us immensely with our sizes and materials in making our purchases. Thank you and well done 👏👏

It's the biggest mall in the city, and it is about 10 minutes walk from the city centre. It has diferent shops with multiple brands, across more than 6 levels. With some luxury brands, and stuff to help everywhere. From a supermarket, to a restaurant on the top. You can get perfumes, baby and adult clothing and shoes, furniture, pharmacy stuff, candy shop, etc. There is a parking, and toilets in every floor.
Maria — Google review
Meets the expectations in terms of quality and variety. However slightly overpriced as compared to the shops nearby and local outlets in the market. Good to buy things have standard pricing like electronics, toys and groceries.
Neelesh M — Google review
Huge selection of everything you can imagine from groceries to tech, toys and clothing. All beautifully displayed. Staff were quite nice, always happy to help.

I bought a Columbia Outdoor Polo shirt in El Corte Ingles in Pamplona 2 weeks ago while on the Camino. It started falling apart yesterday (a story of disappointment in itself). I asked for assistance at Corte Ingles in Léon who carry that exact same product. They stated that without the paper receipt from they wouldn't help me. I have been able to do show the online payment statement though. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at El Corte Ingles.

I gave a 5 solely because of the excellent service I received today from a member of staff in Sports Dept on 6th floor. Unfortunately I did not get her name. She was dressed in a dark suit. I am not sure if she is a supervisor there. She is a great asset to your organisation.

We ate at the restaurant at the top of Corte Ingles and the food was amazing as well as the staff very good. There is also a great view of Leon from there. Outside, they have a cute little playground for kids with a giant chess set!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of León, Barceló León Conde Luna is a charming hotel that beautifully reflects the city's artistic heritage. Just steps away from the stunning cathedral, this property features modern accommodations adorned with mid-century furniture and unique organic wall art. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and indulge in delicious meals at the on-site café or restaurant. The highlight is undoubtedly the Nimu Terrace, which offers breathtaking views of León's historic skyline.
PROS: location, price, rooms (but you have to get a renovated room) IF YOU GET A SUITE ASK FOR A ROOM IN THE 20’s (like room 320,420 etc) all tge other suites are way smaller. CONS: no gym! , lousy AC, random Bad smells in hallways *parking available for 14 euros a night in a very tight (but manageable) garage in the same building.
Florian B — Google review
The hotel is a bit outdated and you feel it mainly in the room, those who like antique furniture may like this place, but not particularly technological. The room I received was large and spacious with a balcony, but due to the noise of the street renovation I preferred a closed window. Hotel in a very central location, everything within walking distance, very helpful staff, reasonable breakfast for those looking for it, reasonable price in relation to the value.
דור ה — Google review
The property has a great location, but there are several important things to consider before booking. First, the rooms are quite dated—just like the photos suggest—and unfortunately not very clean. The suite I booked offered plenty of space, but the condition was disappointing. The walls were dirty, doors covered in scratches with peeling paint, and the TV was smaller than a standard computer monitor. The wooden closets were so old and dusty that we didn’t even use them. It’s hard to understand how a hotel with good reviews allows this level of room maintenance. If the intention was to give the room a vintage feel, there are better ways to do so while still keeping it clean and inviting. The bathroom was the only area that appeared somewhat updated, but it had poor lighting, making it feel dim. Accessibility is another issue. The hotel entrance has about ten steps and no ramp, which is a major inconvenience for guests with limited mobility or those traveling with heavy luggage—as I was. There is a supposed lift for disabled access, but it seemed to require a special key and wasn’t readily available. Lastly, parking is a challenge. The front unloading area is very limited—if there are three cars there, you’re out of luck. Be prepared to circle the area or park in the nearest public lot, which is about two blocks away—not ideal if you’re traveling with a family and multiple suitcases. The only reason I’m giving this hotel 3 stars is because of its excellent location. Otherwise, it would have been lower.

This Hotel is only 10-15 mins from anywhere you'd want to go in Leon. While perhaps a little faded in parts I found it very pleasant. My room was very large, clean and with a very modern bathroom. Breakfast was good and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would be happy to stay again.
Ror D — Google review
Excellent central location. Breakfast was plentiful and good value. Rooms slightly dated and the air conditioning was insufficient. There was not enough parking when we arrived but the local car park was just around the corner and costs the same as the hotel car park. It was not obvious where to park the car when we first arrived however. Not many amenities, literally just a room and breakfast area, geared towards a city break.
Daniel B — Google review
This was the 3rd hotel stay of our 2 week tour of Spain and my least favorite. Plus side: Location. Easy walk to areas of interest. Very friendly bilingual staff. Minus side. Rooms are dated and feel old. Not enough outlets. We had to unplug 2 lamps to charge our devices. WiFi did not work in our room. If I walked in the hall, no problem, but dead zone in our room. The front desk clerk restarted the router, but no luck. So I sat in the lobby to get work done.
Steve C — Google review
Perfect breakfast. Parking in front of gaudi building in walking distance
Jo V — Google review
Absolutely incredible hotel, modern, spacious, and centrally located. I had to insist on a room with a king bed even though I had booked one as I was staying alone. Only 4 stars out of 5 as air conditioning did not work! Breakfast was your typical European standard. Missing the UK style hash browns, beans, Sausages etc... however, they did have roasted vegetables which were tasty and a decent coffee ☕️ machine. I'd definitely stay here again provided that the air conditioning is working properly.

Great location and size of rooms. Breakfast is also ok. The only point to improve are the TVs. They are old models, very small size and there is no possibility to connect own applications through mobile phone or smart tv functions.
Luis M — Google review
Great location. Some toilet rooms a bit strange due to the shape of the building and indoor atrium. Only one TINY elevator for 8 floors. Only holds 4 people at the most without bags. Hotel has wifi but they have an overly complex/horrible login process. Can’t be done without cell service since it requires an email validation. Never seen such a horrible and client unfriendly system. Good breakfast but small breakfast room that can be busy.
Dave T — Google review
The hotel is in a great location to explore the city on foot. The rooms are a good size and although, a little dated, are clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and breakfast was really nice. Car parking is located on the opposite side of the road and is underground. The car park is very narrow and is not suitable for larger vehicles. I have a Mercedes CLS and, with mirrors tucked in, it only just fitted in. If arriving by car, the hotel is immediately on your left as you leave the roundabout. It’s easy to miss as it’s not well sign posted. There are loading bays to park up and checkin. The receptionist will then direct you to the car park.

I stayed for three nights. The hotel is beautiful but my room layout was a little strange and cramped in the toilet room which was separate from the shower. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices.

Wow! The inside is tastefully decorated while keeping the old style architecture…a good marriage of style and elegance. Very clean, staff was charming, breakfast had a good selection that should please most palates. Look up when you walk inside the lobby as you have a great photo opportunity! Rooms were fresh and clean. Bed was comfortable. The bath had grips for showering but be mindful as when you get wet it is still a little slippery (just don’t dance). There are no safety railings but the sink is close by. We stayed on the 5th floor and got a nice view of the apartments across the street! Good closet and drawer space. The toilet is separate from bath, a nice plus. There is a minibar. For coffee and tea lovers no machine in the room. However the water was hot enough that we made a good tea as we bring our own tea bags. Enough space to lay out two suitcases. We were able to exercise in the room with our tubing. The windows opened, but watch carefully if you have children or balance issues! Centrally located to the major tourist attractions, bars, and restaurants.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, it was evident how immaculately clean everything was. The entire property seemed brand new, which added to the overall pleasant experience. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep each night. Despite its prime downtown location, the double pane windows effectively blocked out all external noise, ensuring a peaceful and quiet stay. A small guesthouse, right within the city center of León. The rooms are a bit small, but they are clean and they include all the basic features - internal bathroom included. Reasonable prices, breakfast is also included. I really much appreciated the fruit basket available to guests all day in the living/dining room.

This accommodation was well located but, it was like having a room in someone's home. We arrived back after checking in earlier in the day to find the common area we had to cross to access our room full of people who were preparing a communal meal in the area outside our room. Also, this location apparently offers breakfast (not offered with our booking) that was noisily eaten - lots of loud chatting - outside our room. We could also hear occupants in next room (guest suite) talking. Wifi was poor. This was supposed to be a rest day for us on Camino but, not as expected.

We arrived very late due to both the train and it's replacement bus both failing. The duty receptionist volunteered to stay on to let us in. We were ninety minutes late, but he made nothing of the inconvenience. The rooms are beautiful and substantial, with complimentary drinks tray and minibar. Breakfast was to a high standard. We returned several days later, the third floor rooms also to a good standard and very private and quiet, no street noises at all..

This is a gorgeous small boutique hotel that has a luxury level of room—recently remodeled in 2019, small property with less than 20 rooms. Beds and furnishings are fantastic, bathrooms elegant with great water pressure and amenities. The building is right on a main walking promenade and just a few minutes walk to the historic center of Leon and all of the restaurants and bars in that area as well as the historic landmarks. Also easy walk to the train station for quick arrivals to and from the AVE fast trains to Madrid and beyond. This is a really, really nice hotel, and the price-point is very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Beautiful historic building renovated and very well kept, excellent location, walking distance from most of the landmarks. The staff is a one-person at the small reception aea, very nice, informative and welcoming. It has an area with a small restaurant only for breakfast which we didn't use. Courtesy of the hotel, the room has a Nespresso coffee maker, coffee, tea, and bottled water. The bathroom has state of the art hardware, everything is "touch" activated. It also includes slippers. The rain-style shower is fantastic. Last but not least, there's a Dyson hair dryer! We had a room with a king bed with excellent mattress, pillows and great quality sheets. Everything super clean. I highly recommend this place. We loved it.

Guests can expect clean and comfortable bed facilities with personal chargers, outlets, bed curtains, lockers, and lights.
Amazing location in the heart of a lot of happenings right next to the cathedral put plenty of stores in shops around if you look hard enough you can get almost anything you need in this area be wary of many Google listings double-check them and that they are in fact a business and above all up-to-date for example I was looking for a computer power supply cord as one of my USB bricks runs off and is switchable AKA can run off us and European power it was very difficult finding one because I started looking on a Sunday and the only things that were listed as open were the things that clearly weren't actual stores because they were listed open 24/7 as well as a few other inconsistencies in clearly when showing up there is no brick and mortar store front it is instead an apartment building or an apartment in a building

This place is a scam. It is the filthiest, nastiest hostel I have visited, avoid at all cost. I can guarantee that the only reason it has a 4+ rating is because the owners buy reviews to manipulate. Toilets have yellow stains running down the walls and door. Showers have black mold. Soap is empty, paper is empty. There’s only two toilets for men and two for women in the whole place which probably has about 40 beds, and the one in the male bathroom doesn’t even close properly. Bed was dirty - no cleaning between guests. It is loud and rooms are not isolated at all. Not only is it not worth €18, I would not sleep here again if I was paid €18.

Great place for 15 euro. Great service people at desk very helpful. Comfortable bed with real sheets and pillowcase. Comes with towel and gel. The bathroom is hard to be discreet in, but showers are big with lots of hot water. Big community room. Small kitchen but enough to cook a meal. And I didn't realize the Cathedral is right down the block.

A "new generation" hostel: zero staff, everything is automatic, electronic card for the doors, sensor lights, more cameras than in an episode of "Big Brother". You like it or not.. The kitchen is super tiny, good luck to cook here! Small and crammed refregirator. The showers/wc are not super clean and always humid. The ubication is great though, and it's not too expensive.

Having breakfast while listening to the cathedral bells is priceless!!! (Original) Magnífica ubicación, buena atención y apartamento muy cómodo y bien equipado. The accommodation is super central on Calle Ancha with El Humedo on one side and El Romántico on the other and within walking distance of everything there is to see in the Old Town of León, including the cathedral. The Apartamentos MK77 in Leon offer newly built, modern apartments with full kitchens and patios for a comfortable stay. The cozy, neutrally decorated accommodations provide a perfect place to stay, featuring amenities such as outdoor seating areas with benches, tables, and barbecue facilities. Conveniently located within walking distance to the cathedral and offering hassle-free parking nearby, these apartments are highly recommended for a satisfying and enjoyable stay in Leon.
One of our best stays in Spain. A great price for an apartment with lounge and bedroom. Quality of a very good hotel room but with an apartment amount space (depending on room you choose). Oscar was an excellent host and the entire process was seamless. Thank you for having us!

(Translated by Google) Central and quiet apartment. Good value for money but somewhat incomplete in kitchenware. There is no iron or ironing board in the apartment. There is also no broom or mop bucket in the room, all these details are on the ground floor available to the entire building to share and it is very inconvenient, because if you need to iron a garment, you depend on the tenant who is using it. This detail must be noted. It also does not have blinds and a little light enters through the gaps in the blinds first thing in the morning. Transparent toilet door, little privacy. It is difficult to park nearby, but with patience you can do it with a little luck. I recommend leaving the car parked and exploring León on foot if time permits. Otherwise everything positive, cleanliness, furniture and general condition of the apartment is great.

(Translated by Google) We got the first room, C. It's a bit small, but it's very close to the old town. There's a pharmacy at the beginning of the street, and Alimerka is also very close. I have to say that although the bed is like a closet that you have to open and lower, it's very, very comfortable. I don't usually sleep well the first night when I'm not sleeping in my own bed, and I slept wonderfully; the pillow was also very comfortable. As for parking, it depends on the time you arrive. But there's usually parking around the neighborhood, and these are areas with no blue hour.

(Translated by Google) The apartment was clean, well-decorated, and close to the city center, which was a plus. However, upon arrival, we noticed that it didn't match the photos we had shown when booking, which turned out to be misleading advertising. The photos showed a bed and a sofa in different spaces, but they were actually the same piece of furniture: the bed extended out from the sofa, so both couldn't be used at the same time. Furthermore, the apartment was much smaller than expected and quite uncomfortable.

Comfortable beds and sofa, kitchen with all kinds of kitchenware and utensils and the shower is a delight. Why not a 10?? The parking lot does not have parking and the area is all blue, orange or green zone (residents). With that it would be 10!! Restaurant
Hostal de San Marcos, also known as Parador de San Marcos, is a historic hotel that was once a monastery and has been transformed into a luxurious lodging by the Paradores hotel chain. The stunning plateresque exterior of the building is adorned with intricate medallions and statues dating back to the 16th century, creating an impressive sight during both day and night when the facade is illuminated.
(Translated by Google) The hotel has been transformed into something modern, in the way that fashion suddenly reverses and the old is wiped out in one fell swoop to make way for the new The cafeteria, housed in a cube, the base is strictly geometric, dead straight side walls that give the room a clear structure. But beware if you try to orient yourself along these side walls! You almost feel as if you are standing at the bottom of a gigantic cube in which the acoustics bend and twist in bizarre ways - as if the guests' conversations are bouncing off these rigid walls and swirling around the room in a strange dance. Nevertheless, it seems to appeal to people because the armchairs are extremely comfortable. And so, in the midst of all this highly polished cube life, wine, aperitifs and coffee are served, conversations take place, and the world passes by as if in a dream, accompanied by excellent service. The restaurant is right next door. As a new member of the Amigo de Paradores, I wanted to enjoy a glass of beer at the cafe since dinning at restaurant only opens at 8:30 pm. The waitress at the cafe was cold and unfriendly, she told me that I could not have a beer here but need to go and order from my room. It's so different from the warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere that I received from Hostal Real de Santiago de Compostela. I was planning to bring my wife for dinner here, but now I won't bother to come to this place again.
