Located on the rooftop of Hotel Barcelo Leon Conde Luna, niMÚ Azotea offers stunning panoramic views of the old town and surrounding city. The restaurant is a perfect spot for sharing a variety of dishes with friends, including niguiri, pasta, rice dishes, gilda skewers, cod, and aged beef sirloin. The terrace opens at 2pm and stays open until 0.30am but tends to get crowded quickly so booking early is recommended.
Tasty dinner with Spanish and not so spanish options, good wine and dessert. Our table was offering a great view over Leon at night starring the illuminated Cathedral. Attentive staff giving recommendations when asked and making sure amounts ordered seemed right.
Maja N — Google review
Disappointing experience. Views are great and our starter was very nice but the veal main was chewy and overcooked. Couldn’t eat half of it and although the manager apologised I was still charged the full amount. The fish was nice although contained some bones.
Simon F — Google review
First of all, I would like to point out the terrible, unacceptable length of the waiter's (or hostess's, don’t know exactly what he was doing constantly near waiters, it seems was helping them) nails, Pablo's. It's horrible and shameful if you allow staff with such nails to serve people. The second thing I would like to point out is the absolutely poor level of the cuisine. We took tuna tartare and, apart from the spiciness, we didn't feel anything at all. It shouldn't be like that. We also took the tongue and it was old, not at all fresh. They barely grated the cheese. Then we wanted to order two cocktails. As it turned out, it was impossible to order either a negroni or a caipirinha, or most of what's on the menu. With all this, the prices look pretentious. The only good thing about this place is the view of the city.
Lilu — Google review
Very tasty olives and cheese board. The service helped us find out where to buy the good olives, but we didn’t find them unfortunately. A very good spontaneous experience.
Temporaryforevers — Google review
Excellent food, however, the bill (la cuenta) was totally incorrect. We were charged twice for at least half our meals. When we queried the bill, the waitress seemed angry and rude, and also didn't even ask what was wrong, which to me seems that they knowingly gave us an incorrect bill, which is very dishonest. This left a very bad taste for us, despite the amazing food. I would recommend this place for sure, but be sure to check the cost at the end.
Ant ( — Google review
Service was slow and unorganised really. Food was ok, turbot was over cooked which was a huge shame.

Restaurante Cocinandos is a stylish dining spot with a hacienda-inspired setting and a patio. Located in the Casa del Peregrino of the former convent of San Marcos, this restaurant offers market-driven tasting menus with wine pairings. The menu, called Los Siete Caminos, changes weekly based on available produce at the market.
I was here in June while I was walking the Camino. It was a rest day and I was exploring the amazing city. Dressed in dirty clothes and with my huge backpack, the chef and the waitress still showed great hospitality and amazing service. I was greeted me at the door and I believe it was the head chef explained the idea behind their restaurant and the tasting menu, which is taking various ingredients throughout Spain, the freshest at the time and place them on the menu. Each dish is an art piece, full of surprises and flavour. The wine pairing is also a must! Amazing wines to pair with each course, which enhances and elevates the taste. Will definitely be back again in the future!

From the moment you walk in, the warm and modern ambiance sets the tone for a relaxed yet sophisticated meal. The staff is attentive, professional, and knowledgeable about the menu, providing thoughtful recommendations tailored to your preferences. We were served by a girl from Venezuela (so sorry I forget her name). Impeccable service. Inventive n tasty dishes. Highly recommended.
D L — Google review
The food is as amazing as you'd expect of a Michelin star restaurant and cheaper than expected. The wine pairing is delicious and local with good explanation. At €26 or so it's really great value! The menu changes every couple of weeks so you can always expect something new. I've been several times and will continue to return.

Allen M — Google review
Although we did not have reservations, the staff truly took exceptional care of us and personally made sure each course of our meal was an outstanding experience to remember. The foods and flavors became works of art, blending the 7 Caminos of Leon with the chef's brilliant culinary imagination. After my third Camino, walking the Camino de Madrid, I say to the chef, "Excellente y Ultreia!"

Nestled in the heart of León, Pizzería La Competencia is a must-visit for pizza lovers seeking an authentic experience. This charming eatery offers a delightful array of pizzas, including unique local flavors like chestnuts and cecina ham. The thin-crust options are particularly popular among patrons who appreciate a crispy bite. While the ambiance may not be overly fancy, the focus here is on delivering perfect pizzas at affordable prices.
Great place to have pizza. It was a bit hard to find but definitely worth it. Great service and affordable price! I got the menu del día (€12.30) including pizza, salad, bread, coke and desert. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended!
Virginia L — Google review
I was welcomed here Easter Sunday, and had the Menú del Día. First course I had chorizo croquetas, which were served hot with good cheese flavor and a crispy, chewy crust. For pizza I had the SICILIANA - Tomate, mozzarella, bacón, cebolla, gambas, chiles, nata, ajo y albahaca. This is a little spicy, with good flavors of the onion and shrimp. The crust was light and crispy. I added a full ration of flan for dessert, and it was very good, only surpassed by one in my experience. I recommend.

Delicious salads and pizza. We ordered the menu option, very filling at a good price.

Perfect pizza. A bit of a hidden gem in the touristy part of León. Don’t expect anything fancy or classy, just perfect pizza.

Soooo many pizza options! Good if you like thin pizzas. Very uncomfortable seats and dirty toilets.

The food excellent and the portions are really big. The outdoor seating is really nice. It gets crowded so keep that in mind as there might be some waiting time.

Great place with many beer selection and good tapas to complement. Love their scallops and the steak is amazing! Good atmosphere in the outside patio!

Patio dining under cover and foliage. Hard seats but good atmosphere in a great city. Recommend garlic prawns and certainly the scallops. Budget a starter and two mains with bread and a bottle wine at around €35
Bernard W — Google review
🙋‍♂️The service was great, They recommended the "Solomillo patio" and it really tasted like a speciality. 🏠The place is pretty and you really don't feel cold but neither warm, if it's windy sometimes it can be cold. 🍗The food was really good, I just needed to include some bread because I ordered it after and they just give me from some of days ago..... 💰Talking about the price, the quality and taste of the food was great and the space is great and in the center of the city so is not expensive. 🌟7/10
Elzorro01 G — Google review
Horrible service. As soon as I stood up to go to the toilet, they cleared the table, and put a reserved sign on the table. They even moved my bag from the table to behind the bar. I wasnt offered the desert that's part of the offer. Just because I don't speak Spanish they did not treat me like a normal customer. Won't be going again.

Taberna Los Cazurros is a popular spot in Leon, known for its variety of wines and delicious tapas. The place offers a dozen wines by the glass at affordable prices. Their specialty is potatoes served with a choice of sauces like picante, ali-oli, or blue cheese. The decor combines modern and traditional elements, such as a back wall adorned with hundreds of wooden shoes. Located in the famous Barrio Humedo, this place attracts both locals and visitors alike.
The food was simply excellent, especially the black pudding combined with potatoes and eggs! The guy who served me (Danny) was so kind! Thank you!

Nice restaurant. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Didn't speak English but that's our problem to get around which we did no issue at all. Food was delicious.
John S — Google review
Rude staff. Wouldn’t allow us to drink outside as it was busy, then when inside waiter literally pushed my wife multiple times to get past. Passive aggressive behaviour. Generally rude. Shouldn’t behave like this. Should be addressed by the manager.
R D — Google review
Excellent service and delicious food. Thankyou!
Judith O — Google review
The waiter obviously objected to our lack of Spanish and was very unhelpful. Came out with the other parties meals and three plates treating it like tapas. My meal didn’t come until I had left. Worst dining experience in Spain so far. I have been here over a month. Don’t stop here. We saw others leave and should have. Saw that I could add to venting my spleen about this restaurant. My wife and friend stayed as their food had come out but my meal was about 30 minutes after theirs. The waiter continued to be awe full to them and was rude and aggressive to them even more so after I had left. He tried to Bully them. The rudeness and aggressiveness continued to the till when they paid. The man at the till continued the rude aggressive behaviour. We really wish we had left before we had ordered like a table next to us did who had the same waiter. Don’t go to this restaurant. There are several in the plaza and I am sure they won’t be as bad as this one. Appalling.

I was visiting Leon for one day, I stopped here to get some Tapas. The food is very reasonably priced and is good quality. The owner of the bar was extremely generous and friendly. I even saw him give a free plate of patatas to a refugee boy who came in hungry and asking for food. A nice experience all around and a business worth supporting!

I ve been lead by the google recommendations and got proven right. The food was excellent. As i ordered and communicated in spanish, everything was easy goin. i ordered patatas bravas, croquettes and a plate of jamon with a beer. all my specials wishes and questions have been answered and fulfilled and the food was very fine. The prices are okay. full recommendation!

Restaurant
Restaurante Lumière offers a slightly pricey but worthwhile dining experience with its beautiful setting and cozy ambiance, complete with a fireplace. While some dishes like the salmon were excellent, others were just average, and the desserts tended to be overly sweet. The wine selection is good and the service is attentive, making it suitable for special occasions or dates. The food is served quickly in typical Spanish fashion and is of high quality and quantity for its price.
a wonderful restaurant with good, tasty food. and it's great that there were seats in it - I booked a table on Sunday at eight in the evening and there was a free table for the three of us. however, the next morning there were no free seats in the restaurant.
Dima W — Google review
Lumière does provide a beautiful interior design, the room is modernly decorated and we liked that the tables were far apart enough so that even loud speakers would be toned down by the size of the room. Service was quick but felt rushed all evening. Either a lot of attention when the dishes come out or you do not see the waiter for a while as he is attending other tables. Not bad, just did not have a flow compared to other establishments. Food was left and right: artichokes were OK, average tasting. The toasts with the tartare were great but the meat texture felt too beaten up into a sludge, not the texture we prefer for a tartare. Finally, the tuna tataki was very deceiving: there is another dish with red tuna on the menu however, for a reason we do not understand, they serve Albacore tuna as tataki which does work at all. The taste of albacore is way too strong and off putting. The person who ordered that dish did not finish it. Overall, not the upscale evening we thought. The design is stunning however the combination of rushed service and underwhelming dishes left us hungry for more. Average experience so 3/5. €160 for 4 persons. P.S.: if this review was helpful in stirring your choices, please leave a quick ❤️, thank you 🙏
Mister M — Google review
Very good food, a bit on the pricier side but the interior and ambiance makes it worthwhile. Beautiful setting and the fireplace is a nice add-on that makes it cozy. Some dishes were great (e.g. the salmon) but some were just alright. The desserts were a bit too sweet for my taste. The wine selection is good and the service very attentive. I can recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or also for a date.
Christine — Google review
Food, service and ambiance were great. So good we decided to go for dinner a second time! The Food is served quite fast, as is usual in Spain. In comparison to the quality and quantity, I would say this place is not expensive.
Jeroen L — Google review
Super place with great meat and risotto. The 4 star comes from the olives, which were mushy, and even after comment, they were left on the table...friendly and accommodating staff.
Per J — Google review
Overall a great dinner was had by all . Our starter was the prawns and mango sauce . Very tasty and tender . The Beef Curry was very tender and tasty , however there wasn’t much Curry flavour ? Bill was as expected except they charge per person for bread ? Unusual I reckon . I’d dine there again if in town .
Adrian C — Google review
It took them a couple days to warm up to us and to correctly fill our order (my wife is native Spanish speaker) but after that it was superb. Our go-to place for breakfast every morning. Excellent coffee, toast and tortilla española. If you order a cafe con leche grande you will get a regular sized cup. A large one is called "....grande en vaso." Makes sense, but they don't always volunteer that information. Like I said, it took a couple days but after that they brought us anything we asked for as fast as they could. Another advantage is that Lumiere is attached to a hotel that hosts groups which can be seen gathered for breakfast in the adjacent dining room. So it's a cut above for cleanliness, lighting, and the staff's ability to handle a large pulse of customers appearing simultaneously with the locals streaming in from the front door (and there are many locals who are regulars.) Don't get me wrong, we love the rustic tapas bars with their slightly grunge ambience, little trash bins on the tables, etc...but for our first coffee in the morning this is a perfect change of pace. We hope to revisit on our next trip.
Bon C — Google review
We dined there on Tuesday, August 5th, and Friday, August 8th! On our first visit, after a bottle of champagne, several dishes to share, and impeccable service, we left with a positive opinion of this restaurant! So we decided to return a second time this Friday, and what a surprise: between our main course and dessert, we usually smoke a cigarette. However, just like on Tuesday, we wanted to throw our cigarette in a trash can 20 meters away, and to our great surprise, we were caught by the "manager," who treated us like thieves, even though there had been no problem on Tuesday when we did the same thing. We'd barely gotten in when they brought us the bill, even though we hadn't finished our meal. In short, the server seemed embarrassed and explained that it was at the request of his manager... In short, we finished our desserts anyway, left a tip for the server who was incredible to us, but we will not return to your establishment despite the fact that we often come to visit our family. Perhaps I can suggest that you install an ashtray at the entrance in the future and not attack people when they respect the environment and do not throw their cigarettes in front of your establishment.

Meson Jabugo is a cozy tapas spot with a lively atmosphere and ample outdoor seating. The portions are generous, and the menu features specialty dishes like black pudding. The staff is known for their exceptional hospitality, adding to the overall dining experience. While some patrons rave about the sardines and chicken wings, others appreciate the flavorful morcilla. Despite being busy, the friendly service and delicious food make it worth any potential wait.
The waiters were very nice in stopping us in ordering more than we could eat. La Ensalada Leonesa is more than enough for two persons, all in all very tasty. The Croquetas and the Revuelto con Champiniones are both of very good quality. Prices are absolutely reasonable for the setting and quality.
Family F — Google review
Very slow service for simple food when it is not busy. Had the pimientos con patatas, Leon Morcilla and croquetas. It was all home made but took too long to come >45 minutes. The bread I was given was stale.
L. F — Google review
With lots of restaurants to choose from you are never sure you will make the right choice. We definitely did! Delicious "raciones" (croquettes, padron peppers, scrambled eggs, empanadas) and the best calamari I have ever eaten. All brought out with friendliness and enthusiasm. And of course, you get to see the people of Leon coming and going through the plaza in this beautiful city.
Ian K — Google review
Great sardines and chicken wings! Good chicken wings in Europe always surprise me but they were worth it. The calamari was from a big squid, my least preferred type so I took off a star for that. Maybe it’s out of season so they little ones are hard to come by.

Restaurante Bitácora offers an exquisite dining experience with a focus on quality seafood. Dishes like octopus, razor clams, scallops, and various types of crab are prepared fresh and delicious. The menu also includes tasty croquettes and mouth-watering desserts like tiramisu. While the prices reflect the high quality, some may find the additional charge for bread per person to be a downside. The staff is known for their excellent service and helpful recommendations.
Fantastic menu including clawed lobster, crayfish, queen scallops, razor clams and various types of crab. There are few restaurants which specialise in such delicacies and fewer which deliver as well as Bitacora. I would definitely recommend the rice dish with prawns and queen scallops; mouth-watering!

(Translated by Google) A very good restaurant in the center of Leon. Marine-inspired decor, but the restaurant combines seafood with meat dishes. Excellent service. Everything we tried was very good: gluten-free fried calamari, gluten-free fried monkfish, grilled octopus, scallops, garlic shrimp (which I'd call prawns), filleted entrecote, and cheesecake. A very good response for celiacs. They prepared the entire meal gluten-free. Thank you for considering gluten-free.

A total of €175 (which was great for 4 people, considering how delicious everything was). The whole meal was spectacular. I'm not giving the service 5 stars because it's true that they explained to us that day that they were short-staffed and it was a little slow, but it was on time. Aside from that, they were very friendly and everything was great. I haven't tried its cuisine yet, but I've been there a couple of times. It's still elegant, clean, and well-served. I spent 5 euros for two wines from the DO Prieto Picudo. The tapas were decent (rice with mussels, croquettes, breaded squid, empanada, etc.). I found the price a bit steep. Four years ago, I noted: It's regaining its prestige, with menus that are very good. It's a restaurant with more than thirty years of history, which was once a landmark in León, then went through a rough patch, and is now regaining its prestige, space, and location. It maintains its seafaring feel, its nautical decor, with many details reminiscent of ships and ports, and with a menu that heavily emphasizes fish, seafood, and rice dishes. The last two times I've been here, I've had special menus, which included appetizers, then several first and second courses to choose from, also accompanied by a white wheel. In both cases, we were very satisfied. On one occasion, we had spider crab, gazpacho, and excellent rice; on the other, a magnificent sea bream in salt, and the quality/price ratio was very good, considering we're talking about 25-euro menus. Furthermore, although it doesn't offer a daily menu, the menu has reasonable prices, and the bar is also a good place to go for a few wines and enjoy the tapas that are provided to customers. In short, the place is recovering its reputation, which has made it a good choice for enjoying a meal in León. Sigue elegante, limpio y bien atendido.

Very good and friendly service. Great food after a long night. Seasoned meat. Get the patatas con carne.

Great value kebabs in a central location. Ask for a 'five job' if you are especially hungry. Zafeer has great customer service and speaks excellent English. Only thing missing is a few more sauces!
Jack C — Google review
Went there two nights ago, the young guy is way less cool than the owner, cheap in napkins and just throws it at me, also realized he made me pay more Sauce was dripping everywhere, meat was cold, fries drowned in sauce

(Translated by Google) Sorry, until recently they had a couple of really nice Spanish guys, who were a couple, but for weeks now all I've seen is the guy and a Pakistani guy who doesn't understand anything. The girl was super nice. I hope she comes back. I've been recommended the kebab by the guy who was there before Ricky. I'll go there and never come back.

(Translated by Google) The food was good, not too great either. We ordered dishes, they had mixed meat, French fries, tomato, onion and lettuce. The boy who served us was very nice, however we did not like that some boys who arrived later had their order before us. On the other hand, the place is a bit hot and small. PS: in the photo there is a dish without onion. However, the onion comes in large slices like the tomato. (Original) La comida estaba bien, tampoco muy allá. Nosotros pedimos platos, llevaban carne mixta, patatas fritas, tomate, cebolla y lechuga.

Bar restaurante Kapadokya offers a delightful dining experience with its fast delivery and perfectly packaged, temperature-controlled food. The chicken lahmacun is juicy and abundant, while the gratin roll features ample veal and cheese. The Turkish pizza is magnificent, accompanied by a generous serving of salad, rice, and chips. The restaurant's idyllic terrace below Pulchra Leonina in a pedestrian zone adds to the charm of the place.
On a pilgrimage and stop by this this little place not know what to expect. I ordered the #7 on the menu. It feeds two but since I'm from the U.S. I have a big appetite. Most definitely pleased with my order and it does feed two Americans. Service was awesome. Not sure if the guy working was the owner but he took the order, made the food and served. I do recommend if you happen to be on the area.

(Translated by Google) Sorry, I don't usually leave bad reviews, but it's been one after another. I ordered a balloon (I add the ticket) and what I receive are: - some burnt, black potatoes that you can hardly eat - a kebab (not doner as indicated, apparently because that's how it is for them, so I don't understand why the application says they are different) When it is indicated for allergies: WITHOUT ONION, to my surprise, it has onion (I also attach a photo) I'm sorry, but I couldn't let these errors go, I hope you take them into account for future clients (although I won't be one of them) (Original) Lo siento, no suelo dejar malas reseñas, pero esque ha sido una tras otra.

(Translated by Google) Good menu of Turkish food next to the cathedral. Large portions, I couldn't eat it all! The names escape me that's why I put the photos. Impeccable treatment. The only drawback I have is that for my taste the food lacked temperature, hotter would have been better.

Modern European restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurante LAV is a culinary gem nestled in the vibrant city of León, which proudly held the title of Spanish Capital of Gastronomy in 2018. This modern and artistic establishment captivates diners with its beautifully presented dishes that showcase inventive flavors.
The most standout thing about this restaurant is the presentation. The service with the food provides a wonderful experience. I can't say that I enjoyed every single item but that's bound to happen with adventurous foods with a plethora of plates. The price is appropriate for what you get, maybe even on the cheaper side. I also tried the drink pairings which also add to the experience but I'm not an expert.
