Eisriesenwelt, located near the town of Werfen in the Salzburg Alps, is a breathtaking natural wonder. Discovered in 1879, it is the largest ice cave in the world, with a labyrinth of caves spanning over 42 kilometers. Accessible to the public from May to October, visitors can embark on guided tours through this mesmerizing icy landscape.
One of best ice caves experiences in the world. I have visited the caves twice, 7 years apart and can truly say the sculptures inside are changing. The elephant sculpture from 7 years ago now almost looks like a wooly mammoth. There is ample parking around which is not chargeable. It is best to book your slot online before visiting to avoid the rush for entry. Also, please carry good jackets as it is very cold inside the caves. It is best to choose a morning slot so that you have ample time to enjoy. It's a good trek upto the cable car after the entry check point and again from the cable car drop point to the cave, so having good treeking shoes really helps. There is a washroom located near the cave entry and the 1st checkpoint. Before entering the cave they give you a lamp which works on oil to carry inside. The guides are all very amazing. There is a fair steep climb inside the cave which raises your heart rate and helps keep you warm. The fire looking out of the cave to the mountains is just mindblowing.

We were holidaying in the Bayern area, and just had to experience this. Its somewhat of a 3/4 day experience. The drive there on its own is quite magical already. Tickets where quite easy to get online and you do a check-in at the counter. The short hike up to the cable car is amazing. And then you get to take another hike through tunnels to get to the entrance. The caves themselves is absolutely stunning. Definitely recommend long pants and jackets as it is 0degreesC inside. And be ready to walk a lot of steep steps. The guides are absolutely brilliant and the tour is offered in English and German. Highly recommend the visit. It's more than just the ice cave!
Shalen R — Google review
You should be prepared to enormously steep climb - 1 km before the cable car and 1 km after. Additionally, the staircase with 1400 steps awaits you inside the cave. No warnings in the tourists center about the climbing, which is potentially dangerous or even impossible for not so young people or people with medical problems. The cave itself is quite average one. Positive things: great views outside the cave and on your way to the cave
Alexander C — Google review
Excellent trip to do!! We went in October. Was cold but not really bad. A regular jacket etc probably will suffice. Do be prepared for a LOT of uphill walking. You will need to take a shuttle bus (2 pick up points. Google it), it costs around 10 Euros and is CASH ONLY. Bring cash for this! You definitely don’t want to walk to the base site unless you feel like doing an all day hike. Once at the base, you can get tickets to go into the cave (includes the rail cart up to the top). Tickets are like 4 Euros cheaper if bought online. Super easy to buy online. After you leave ticket area, 15-20 mins uphill walk, then take the rail car, then another 15-20 mins uphill and then you are at the cave entrance. Wait here for a guided tour in your language. Lights are provided for the cave. Photos are NOT normally allowed. It seems they let you if it is the slow season. Give this review a like if it helped you! :)
Colton W — Google review
It took us around 45 min to get to the cave (from the visitor center it takes 20 min to the cable and then again 20 min to the cave). You must be in a good fit to climb up the trail to the cave. It is expensive (125 euro for 3 adults and 2 kids). The cave itself is very nice but it also includes climbing up 1400 stairs. The surrounding view is exceptional and worth the climb.
Milly K — Google review
Highly recommended but keep in mind, it’s for hikers. You will need to hike at least 40 minutes climbing and the cave is another 1400 stairs (700 up and 700 down). It’s fantastic journey and great tour but very difficult. The tour uses lanterns and magnesium for light which is great for the vibe but less good for pictures.
Neil R — Google review
Great place to visit, incredible ice cave with great views and history. Lots of steps inside, physically challenging, but worth every step. Warm clothes required!

100% recommended, very impressive and adventorous. Surrounded by a beautiful nature landscape. Warm clothes needed inside the cave. Jan was our guide and he couldn’t have been nicer, he explained everything perfectly.

The Grossglockner High Alpine Road, also known as Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse, is a famous serpentine road that takes travelers through the stunning landscapes of Hohe Tauern National Park in Austria. This scenic route leads to the base of Grossglockner, the country's highest peak at 3,798 meters. The road offers breathtaking views of mountain pastures, meadows, and icy terrain as it winds its way through the alpine region.
The whole road offers incredible views. It is 45 euro to enter. Tak your time to stop at viewpoints to admire the landscapes and take pictures.
AllPhoto P — Google review
Difficult to describe views, waterfalls, green pastures, snow a5 the top, and glacier at the top. We visited in August, and the day started with rain, by the time we arrived, delayed by heavy rain, it was nice and clear but the temperature had dropped to 8c, so you most be prepared for all weather conditions.
Enver B — Google review
An outstanding trip. Initially put out by the 45€ toll fee to enter the road but in the end very much worth it. Parking was free at each point though we did have to wait at times to get a space especially at the popular spots. We spent all day up there. Finished up at Kaiser-Franz-Josef glacier. Kudos to all the cyclists making the route.
Steve B — Google review
It’s the most beautiful road I’ve ever driven. The views of the Alpine mountains are breathtaking. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely drive this road. I would love to do it again myself.

Road - route by car. Starting point: Kritania. Full of stopping points along the road, there are several additional points. Highest point 2571 meters. Bird of prey observation. Lake observation. There are also hiking trails, but you need to organize yourself. When we entered the road, the temperature was 18 degrees, clear. And we started the route, the temperature dropped to 3.5 degrees (depending on the vehicle). Light rain and heavy fog (slow driving) but possible. A very special experience, crazy views. Full of stopping points for snacks and drinks. Exhibition at the visitor center. Cost 45 euros per vehicle. A beautiful, special route.
Sharon F — Google review
Driving through the Grossglockner High Alpine Road is one of the most breathtaking experiences in Austria. The road takes you through stunning landscapes of snow-capped mountains and green valleys, making it a perfect destination for nature and photography lovers. The route is very well organized with plenty of stops offering panoramic viewpoints, small restaurants, and nature museums that share information about the wildlife and the Alps. From several points you can clearly see the glacier – an absolutely unforgettable sight. The journey can take several hours and you can easily spend a whole day exploring. The best time to visit is during summer when the road is fully open and the weather is ideal.
Our_Discoveries5 — Google review
the road is great, the view is awesome. but be aware that there is a LOT of traffic. cars, tourist busses, motobikes, roadbikes. even on workdays. and be aware that there are lots of people in sportscars who mistake this wonderful road for a racetrack. still 5/5 for the view if you ignore the masses of people and the wannabe racers.
Alex N — Google review
There are simply no words to describe it – it's absolutely beautiful. We’ve hit the perfect timing: warm weather, yet still plenty of snow up in the mountains. Just fantastic! Breathtaking landscapes, stunning peaks, and wonderfully fresh air.

Wachau, a UNESCO-listed valley in Lower Austria, is a picturesque river valley known for its terraced vineyards, ancient monasteries, and fortresses. The region's romantic appeal lies in its ruined medieval castles like Durnstein, which once held Richard the Lionheart captive during the Crusades. Cycling enthusiasts can enjoy a 40km bike trail along the Danube from Melk to Krems, passing through charming villages.
The wachau valley is beautiful and even in autumn. The vineyards are going golden and the sunlight on the steep sides is dramatic.

Have now traversed the Wachau Valley 3 times whilst cruising on the Danube, and still spot new sights on every visit, The scenery is magnificent, mountain landscapes, fascinating villages, and castle ruins throughout. A place I will visit again and again. See it whilst cruising with a glass of local wine, then return with a bike to see it in more detail.

Mountains
Grossglockner, the highest mountain in Austria at 3,798 meters above sea level, is a majestic peak located in the Hohe Tauern massif. It is situated on the divide between Carinthia and the Zillertal Alps of Tyrol. The mountain boasts a road to its summit base and features a visitor center, making it a popular tourist attraction. Additionally, Grossglockner National Park surrounds this stunning natural wonder and offers breathtaking views of the Austrian Alps.
Beautiful route on the mountain! We started with fog and snow and on the other side of the mountain it was a sunny clear weather with a beautiful view over the area!
Robert B — Google review
To make it clear right away, the three stars are not for the mountain itself which is incredibly beautiful. They are for the overall experience which was tainted by the congestion, peoples' behavior, and trail safety which is inadequate in view of the mass traffic. Most other reviews won't prepare you for what to really expect, so let me give you a glimpse. We did this hike with a friend at the end of June 2025. From the Adlersruhe hut, the trail crosses a moderately steep snow field. The introductory via ferrata ends in a steep rock section where the trail is poorly marked. We were not the only ones pondering which way to go up. Apparently, we scrambled a bit too much to the right, because we ended up climbing through bare rock and pristine snow and ice. Being experienced climbers, this was not a big deal, and we even enjoyed it. But adding a few trail markers at the end of the first via ferrata would certainly help. More importantly, the trail is mostly steep, narrow, and exposed, and there are numerous bottlenecks that cause congestion on a regular basis. We witnessed people being rude, reckless, and even outright dangerous. Be ready for a constant stream of hikers coming at you from the opposite direction, unwilling to slow down. If you want to take a picture, people behind you will try to pass you instantly. We were yelled at (in Polish) for taking some 10 seconds to snap a photo. The trail itself is rather poorly secured. This would not be a problem if there were fewer people, as the whole stress is caused by the heavy traffic. With a few exceptions, there are no fixed ropes. Instead, there are steel poles, perhaps 1 - 1.5 meters tall, located some 10-20 meters apart. At one moment, I was anchored with a sling to one of them with eight (8) other people. Some going up, some going down, everybody anxious to go. One lady disconnected herself from the safety pole and started climbing up away from the official route with no protection. I witnessed several guided groups where the customers went down steep exposed sections, followed by a guide who was at the end of their rope, unprotected. He would not be able to arrest anybody if they slipped and fell. Safety is overrated. I seriously wonder how the reported number of deaths on the Grossglockner is only 2 per year, as this is a disaster in waiting. On the way down, we sometimes chose to lower ourselves on the miscellaneous bolts to circumvent the heavy traffic and for our own safety.
Pavel S — Google review
Amazing place to be … But you definitely need good luck to catch good and sunny days to have good time and sightseeing and also can shoot million photos. Super curves for bikers, ice glazier has been sized down a lot within 100 years .😞😱😩
Cuneyt G — Google review
Grossglockner alpine road is a must for anyone who enjoys driving, especially on a curvy road. The drive itself is not hard or demanding but affords great views with nice driving experience. The gradient is not steep nor the road narrow but on days with good weather expect fast cars and riders (both motor bikes as well as cyclists).
Jay — Google review
Magnificient, wonderful place, full of energy, beautiful, pathetic, and proud. The Austrians know how to take care of beautiful places. There are numerous rest stops and small islands along the route, so you can get out of the car and soak up the views.

35 euros to enter. The roads were fantastic with lots of challenging bends to keep you focused. Views at the top are amazing although the last few corners to the very top are cobbled and challenging so be careful.

Hoher Dachstein, located in the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut, offers a stunning natural landscape with extensive hiking and skiing areas. Visitors can enjoy gondola access and a suspension bridge, as well as breathtaking views of the Hallstattersee lake and impressive mountain scenery.
Visited in winter 2023. Beautiful and easily accessible mountains thanks to the elevator. You can park the car almost near the elevator, go up and have a walk at almost 3 km altitude. Actually, there is a couple of attractions on the top - restaurant, ice cave, suspension bridge, stairway to nowhere. It may take near 2-3 hours to visit everything and have a lunch. Be mindful of clothes - it's quite windy
Andrei B — Google review
Besides the glacier and skywalk, I can totally recommended visiting the Ice Palace - here you walk in corridors carved within the glacier. Absolutely unique experience, which also highlights that in the current climat change, such places may eventually disappear althogether.
Piotr S — Google review
Breathtaking views and a wonderful experience, though some staff were surprisingly rude, and the organization and lines for the return cable car were a mess. Still, the scenery makes it worth the visit.
Aljohrah A — Google review
Beautiful mountain at the border between Styria and Upper Austria with a height of nearly 3.000 meters above sea level. Allows for great hiking trips on lower levels and great outlooks from the gondola mountain station. Is reachable via a gondola that even has a balcony for adventurous visitors. To reach the gondola, you can either go there by car (consider that the alpine street is a toll street with fees) or by public transport (direct busses from Schladming, that are free to use if you have a valid Schladming Sommercard). Be sure to reserve a spot for ascent and descent in advance, as they will require it.
Roxanne S — Google review
Magnificent mountain, hard find words to described this breath taking place. If you travelling around you must visit this scenic area. Between sky and ice - at an altitude of 2,700 meters The Dachstein, the highest mountain peak in Styria, the distinctive, lacy limestone mountain chain, is one of the most popular destinations in the whole of Austria, thanks to the lookout, which can be reached by cable car, and which awaits visitors with many experiences. Located between the Salzkammergut lake region and Styria, on the northern side of the nearly 3,000-meter high Dachstein, on the glacier, you can take an easy walk in the kingdom of eternal snow on a built-up route. In addition to the SkyWalk lookout, the Ice Palace and the nerve-wracking suspension bridge built a few years ago, spanning a depth of hundreds of meters, are an unmissable sight and a unique experience.
Attila B — Google review
What a beautiful scenery, an absolute must! The peaks covered in snow will leave you in awe. Especially on a sunny day, the contrast of the deep blue sky to the grey rock and the pure snow enhance the whole experience. In winter the area looks like a white desert. Stunning! I recommend doing the 25km Dachstein Überquerung (Dachstein crossing) as a cross country ski hike. Normal alpine skis suffice (but cross country skis would be better). It is suitable for the inexperienced with moderate stamina. The gondola at the star, plus the one on the Krippenstein and the bus back is roughly €50 (April 2018).
Florian F — Google review
I think this is the most beautiful place I seen until now. Everywhere you will look you will see mountains. It was a great experience and in my opinion the price was good. The price is 43€ per person and includes the parking auto, the cable car, suspended bridge and the ice cave. In the top of the mountain is a restaurant with good food and baverages, the personal is very nice and prices are good. In the restaurant you can buy suvenir if you want.

Melk Abbey, also known as Stift Melk, is a lavish 11th-century Baroque abbey located on a rocky outcrop overlooking the River Danube in Lower Austria. The monastery church is dominated by its twin spires and high octagonal dome, featuring an interior adorned with baroque decorations including cherubs, gilt twirls, and faux marble. The high-altar scene depicts St Peter and St Paul and was created by Peter Widerin.
Absolutely stunning and unique Abbey dominating the landscape on the hill overlooking the tiny town. Definitely worth the walk up to the top, if only just for the views! The Abbey itself is beautiful and filled with so much detail and significance, but the historic library is even more impressive and has a fascinating history too. There are large gardens too with 3 walks of varying lengths included in the entrance ticket but it was mid-summer and way too hot to explore so we gave this a miss. Looked interesting though!
Gustav — Google review
Beautiful abbey with impressive architecture and history. Guided tours are available in various languages. I especially love the view from the top and the library was also beautiful. Would recommend visiting!
Yinglan A — Google review
We never to a chance to visit the Abbey from the inside, however just stopping by and looking at it from the outside is amazing. The size of the Abbey will really surprise you. You can get a good view from the outside with space to quickly park and take some few pics. Definitely worth looking.

Veru nice place. Use parking on top, it’s payed, but close to entrance (4€ for 2,5 hours). Church is really nice and good looking. Nice views spot. Best for me was garden. Not that huge but so many places to see, perfect experience. Enjoy your time here.
Dušan — Google review
It is absolutely stunning—both inside and out. Perched above the town and overlooking the Danube River, it offers incredible panoramic views that are worth the visit alone. But the real highlight is the abbey itself: an architectural masterpiece with a rich history dating back over 900 years. The baroque design is jaw-dropping, especially the church interior with its gold accents, frescoed ceilings, and ornate detailing. The library is another gem—beautiful, historic, and filled with ancient manuscripts. The museum exhibits are thoughtfully curated and give great insight into the Abbey’s religious and cultural significance. The grounds and gardens are peaceful and beautifully maintained, perfect for a quiet stroll after touring the interior. Highly recommended if you're traveling through the Wachau Valley—Melk Abbey is a must-see that combines culture, beauty, and a sense of timelessness. Give yourself at least 2–3 hours to explore everything at a relaxed pace. If you have more time, stroll the narrow old town streets and enjoy street foods and coffee. With all combined, this destination makes a perfect day trip solution from Vienna
Tengo G — Google review
Beautiful abbey, library and interesting exposition. But, to my taste, library was the most spectacular of them all. Definitely worse the detour for couple of hours - we visited it on our way from Salzburg to Vienna. There is a parking right at the abbey, so if your gps , like ours will be a bit confused - just continue to the main entrance of the abbey. Melk itself is a nice little town with a picturesque surroundings and little centre with narrow streets. Driving I’d not rate as a pleasure, but bearable 😊

Waterfalls
Krimml Waterfalls, the tallest waterfall in Europe, cascades 380 meters down a forested mountainside and offers a picturesque walking path. The well-known waterfall trail provides stunning views of the rushing waters as visitors descend on the opposite side of the falls. Along this path, there are viewing balconies offering fantastic vantage points.
Worth visiting, and the entrance fee is not expensive (€9 for adults, half that for children). Although the trail is well maintained, I recommend wearing good sneakers and a waterproof jacket, as you will definitely get wet if you want to see the waterfall up close from the viewing terraces. It’s definitely worth going a few kilometers further to the mountain lodge, where they serve excellent food at reasonable prices.
Ivana V — Google review
The waterfalls were beautiful, but the hike itself is quite challenging, with only steep paths. Along the way there are several viewpoints where you can enjoy stunning views of the falls, but the view from the top was actually a bit disappointing. Reaching the top is more about the feeling of accomplishment than the view itself. It’s a very touristy spot, with several nice souvenir shops to browse.
Larissa V — Google review
A beautiful place worth visiting, suitable for young and old, but you should wear heavy clothes because the weather is cold. Although it was July, the weather was still quite cold, and I recommend wearing a waterproof jacket and comfortable athletic shoes.

The most beautiful waterfall I ever saw in my life! Try to visit during sunny day, so you can see multiple Rainbow 🤩 There is a hike to the top of the fall, we reached mid way ( kiosk ) and it think this is the most scenic part

One of the best activities to do in that area, the entrance was easy either by cash or card automatic machines, the hike is clean but not easy, the slopes are harsh in some places so better ready. Keep moving and you’ll find yourself in an ooen space with the sound of the waterfalls sit relax and enjoy

Breathtaking waterfall with amazing views at every level. Well-marked trails, fresh alpine air, and the sound of rushing water make it unforgettable. A must-see in Austria! Entry 9 euro per person and 🅿️ also payable and easy to allocate near the entrance 🅿️ 4&5

On our journey from Sell am See to Tirol we took the scenic mountain pass to stop off at Europe’s largest waterfall. Despite being height of summer season we could still easily park and make our way to the falls. The route is well made. No need for walking boots. Additionally, the charming village of Micheldorf is just a short distance from the lake, adding to the allure of this scenic region.
We visited Wörthersee during New Year's holidays. The Velden city is small, nice decorated with lights, cafes are open in the evening, hot wine and apple pie are delicious there ☺️

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing place for relaxation and nature lovers! We spent a few peaceful days at Wörthersee and absolutely loved it. The water is crystal clear with beautiful turquoise tones, and the surroundings are breathtaking – calm, clean, and surrounded by mountains. There are plenty of quiet spots to relax, swim, or take a walk along the shore. Perfect for couples, families, or anyone looking to unwind in nature. Highly recommended – we would love to come back again!

Here are 2 of the best trails around: 1. Wörthersee Rundwanderweg • Distance: 55 kilometers • Difficulty: Moderate • Duration: 12-14 hours (can be split over multiple days) This is the most famous trail around Wörthersee, circling the entire lake. The trail offers breathtaking views of the lake from various vantage points and passes through charming villages such as Velden, Pörtschach, and Maria Wörth. You can explore forests, hills, and lakeside paths. The trail is well-marked and can be done in stages, making it accessible for all levels. 2. Pyramidenkogel Trail • Distance: 10 km • Difficulty: Moderate • Duration: 3-4 hours This trail leads to the Pyramidenkogel, a 100-meter-high wooden observation tower that offers 360-degree views of Wörthersee and the surrounding region. The hike starts in Reifnitz and takes you through scenic forests before reaching the summit. The ascent is a bit challenging, but the panoramic views from the top make it worth the effort. You can also take an elevator down after exploring the tower.

A turquoise blue lake, mountain views and lush green nature. Wörthersee is a place which makes you to feel relaxed from the beginning. I think the only problem is that all the lakesides are surrounded by private beaches and hotels. However, there are lakeside locations that you can access for free. Especially Velden is an ideal town for having a walk and having a nice meal.

Beautiful place where you can enjoy a clean lake view with a walking track at one side. Lots of water sports activities and boat cruises are also available but only during summer. In winter everything stands still except 2-3 restaurants. Lünersee, located in the Austrian Alps, is a breathtaking destination for couples, families, hikers, and nature enthusiasts. It is one of the largest lakes in the Eastern Alps and offers a variety of activities such as hiking, climbing, fishing, and swimming during the summer. The turquoise jewel of the Alps sits at an elevation of 1,970 meters and boasts a picturesque setting at the end of Brandnertal in Vandans.
Beautiful place, definitely worth a visit. It is quite touristy though, you won't be here all by yourself. There's a nice hike you can do around the lake but don't underestimate the hike, definitely doable but not flat all the time. Would recommend taking the cable car and if you have the time you can explore A LOT more hikes around the area of the Lünersee. There's a nice hiking map overview in front of the cable car end station at the Lünersee.

A Perfect, Picturesque Stroll in the Alps Title: An Absolutely Stunning and Accessible Walk I recently did the easy 7 km loop around the Lünersee and it was the highlight of our trip to the Vorarlberg region. This isn't a strenuous hike; it's a breathtakingly beautiful walk that is absolutely perfect for almost anyone looking to enjoy the Alpine scenery without a major climb. The convenience starts with the Lünerseebahn cable car, which whisks you up from the valley and drops you right at the edge of this stunning, turquoise lake. The path is wide, well-maintained, and almost entirely flat, making it ideal for families with children, casual walkers, and even trail runners. The 7 km distance felt just right—long enough to feel like a proper outing but short and easy enough that we could take our time, stop for countless photos, and simply soak in the views. The colour of the water against the backdrop of the Schesaplana massif is something you have to see to believe. We were lucky with a clear day, and the reflections of the mountains in the still water were incredible. We completed the loop in just under two hours at a very leisurely pace, including stops. There's a great alpine hut, the Douglass Hut, perfectly positioned for a drink or a meal with a view partway around. In a nutshell: If you want an unforgettable Alpine experience without the sweat and effort of a major hike, this is it. Scenic, easy, and utterly rewarding. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Tips: Bring a light jacket as the weather can change quickly at that altitude. And don't forget your camera! Rating: · Scenery: 5/5 · Difficulty: 1/5 (Very Easy) · Family-Friendly: 5/5 · Value: 5/5

5/5 – Stunning and Serene! I visited Lünersee in Vorarlberg this September, and it was absolutely breathtaking. It happened to be the first snow day, which added a magical touch to the entire experience. Taking the cable car up was smooth and the views were stunning. The combination of sunny skies and fresh snow made it a perfect day for a peaceful walk around the lake. If you’re looking for a serene spot with incredible mountain scenery, Lünersee is a must-visit. Highly recommended!. The restaurant there is so delicious !!!

Amazing. You can hike from the car park. Its an easy hike or take the cable car. At the top there is a nice restaurant. Unfortunatly it was very windy and the forcast was also not good so we decided to not to the whole hike around the lake.

What a gorgeous lake! Hiking around it is about 2 hours and it is a very relaxing and easy hike. If you start from the right side after getting off the lift, you will face a bit of uphill towards the end of the hike but nothing difficult. Pretty flowers you can enjoy all around the lake, mesmerizing incredible colors of the water, and diverse shapes of rocks you see all around. One of my favorite lakes in the region!

Schönbrunn Palace is an 18th-century summer residence that offers tours of its opulent rococo ceremonial rooms and lavish gardens with a maze. The palace boasts beautiful Baroque and Neo-Classical architecture, reflecting Vienna's rich history as the town of Habsburgs and Maria Theresa. It is Vienna's most visited attraction, featuring 45 luxurious state rooms, ceremonial halls, and private apartments once inhabited by Empress Elisabeth and Emperor Franz Joseph.
Gorgeous place to visit- bring a coat if going in the winter or fall as it can get chilly. Recommend buying tickets ahead of time and just walk to the front of the palace to enter- audio guides can be procured upon entry. If you have kids- there is also a small zoo, and a playground in the garden maze area.

The lavish decorations inside the palace and the splendor of the gardens are as magnificent as ever, demonstrating the majesty of a World Heritage Site that is worth revisiting. Walking around the vast gardens, I was reminded of its grandeur and splendor. The splendid decorations and paintings inside the palace are also worth seeing.

You need to explore all the places so a classic plus ticket is recommended for 75 euros, this will cover all the gardens, zoo, terrace, and the palace. This will be a long trip and you need to rest between them so I'd recommend to start your trip at 10 a.m. to finish it at 5 p.m. I strongly recommend to buy your tickets online becuase there was a very long line. I will leave you with the images to rate the experience 😊

St. Stephen's Cathedral is a medieval Roman Catholic place of worship in Vienna, Austria. It features an ornate spire, catacombs, and a treasury museum. Visitors can explore the cathedral to admire world-renowned works of art and church utensils for a fee. The catacombs house the remains of Austrian emperors and are accessible only to guided tour groups for an additional cost.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We visited St. Stephen’s Cathedral over the weekend, and it was such a beautiful experience. The architecture is stunning — Austria really knows how to blend modern and classic styles. You can feel the history, yet everything around feels fresh and vibrant. The cathedral is surrounded by modern buildings and high-end shops, creating a unique mix of culture and lifestyle. One thing I really appreciated is that entry to the cathedral is free, which is rare in Europe. You only pay if you want to go up to the tower for the panoramic city view — and the price is quite reasonable. Children under 10 enter for free, and kids under 18 get a 50% discount. Overall, everything in Austria feels very clean, safe, and well-organized. We really enjoyed our time here and definitely recommend visiting St. Stephen’s Cathedral if you’re in the city center.
Theavy — Google review
St. Stephen’s Cathedral rises like a medieval stone heartbeat in the very center of Vienna. Its Gothic spire, ribbed vaults, and stained-glass windows aren’t just architectural flourishes; they are the city’s compass and heartbeat. Every street in Vienna seems to spiral outward from here, as if the entire city were built around prayer. Inside, the air feels thick with centuries of pious devotion. The flicker of candles against cold stone, the scent of wax and incense, the hush of travelers and locals alike; it all combines into a kind of living liturgy. The cathedral isn’t just a monument to faith; it’s a place where belief, art, and history intertwine. Every carving and arch seems to whisper the same message: beauty is one of the purest ways to praise God. On Saturday evenings, when the bells call the faithful for the 7:00 PM English Mass, a golden light fills the nave as the sun sets behind the stained glass. Tourists pause, locals kneel, and the choir’s echo mingles with the organ’s thunder. It’s a deeply human moment, both intimate and grand — a reminder that Vienna’s soul is not found only in its cafés and concert halls, but here, in this cathedral that has watched over the city for nearly 900 years. A must-visit not just to see, but to feel. St. Stephen’s doesn’t merely stand at the center of Vienna. It is Vienna’s heart.❤️ Christmas celebration in full swing outside of the cathedral.

I really enjoyed walking around and soaking in the lively atmosphere of the area .

This cathedral is absolutely stunning. The architecture, both inside and out, is breathtaking. Right beside it, an early Christmas market was happening with adorable stalls. The interior is a true work of art. At night, it transformed into what looked like a massive haunted castle, haha!
Harsha J — Google review
The cathedral is a magnificent piece of architecture and a sight to behold. My strong personal critique, however, is the commercialization of the space. Requiring payment for entry into the main sections creates a barrier that I feel is fundamentally opposed to Christian teachings. A church should be a place where anyone, regardless of their financial means, can enter to pray and connect with God.
Deepu J — Google review
I have to say that I was really excited to visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral. I had seen it in pictures, on Instagram, everywhere, and seeing it in person was such a beautiful, emotional moment. The cathedral is stunning from the inside out. We bought our tickets the same day; you cannot buy tickets online, so you need to go directly to the ticket area. If you want to go to the top of the cathedral, there are two options: • South Tower – You must climb around 300 steps. It’s very high and can be exhausting. • North Tower – This is the one we chose. It actually has a better view, including a 360° view, and you can take the elevator, which is definitely nicer. We also visited the dungeons, and that was fascinating. You see cadavers that have been there since the 1500s (or around that time). They give you a guided tour that explains how people were buried and the history of the underground cemetery. It’s very interesting, I won’t spoil too much, but I definitely recommend it. We didn’t do the full church tour because when we arrived, they were having Mass, and we didn’t want to wait. Plus, after going up the tower in the cold, we were already a bit tired. So just be prepared, going to the top can be draining, especially if you’re an introvert. We’re both introverts, and we were completely drained afterwards. But honestly, the cathedral itself is breathtaking. It’s hard to believe something so massive and detailed was built so long ago. I really can’t even explain how incredible it is, you just have to see it for yourself. One thing I liked is that everything is done on the same day, and you don’t have to worry about online bookings. You can explore one part of the cathedral and come back another day to do the rest, if you want. We didn’t, but it’s an option. We bought two tickets: • one for the underground cemetery tour • one for the North Tower (highly recommend this one!) I also recommend doing the official church tour because it gives you the full history, when it was built, who built it, and all the important details. I kind of regret not doing that. Overall, I highly recommend visiting St. Stephen’s Cathedral. I don’t have many pictures because I really wanted to take everything in with my own eyes and enjoy the moment. If you go, do the same,or have someone else take photos for you, because the experience goes by too fast. And you don’t want to miss it by staring at your phone.

St. Stephen’s Cathedral is a stunning Gothic masterpiece and a must-see in Vienna. I booked my ticket through GetYourGuide, which was convenient and easy. You need to claim the actual ticket at the Dom Museum Wien next to the cathedral before entry, so it’s best to go a few minutes early. The cathedral’s interior, towers, and views are breathtaking — rich in history and atmosphere. Worth the visit!

Originally built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy in the 18th century, it now houses an impressive art collection spanning from the Middle Ages to contemporary works, including a notable collection of Klimt paintings.
Wow! Loved this extraordinary attraction and gardens. The architecture is amazing. My son and I really enjoyed the walk through and landscapes. The stone carvings / statues are beautifully placed. We did not visit inside the attraction as we will go another day.

Went to see Gustav Klimt on exhibition and it was a wonderful experience to see his work alongside Monet, Van Gogh and Egon Schiele. The palace is easy to navigate and the exhibition was over 3 floors. I visited late 5pm before closing and it was not crowded. I got to see all the works up close and truly appreciate the details. Staff are very vigilant and protect the work from people standing too close, its also important to check sinage as its not permitted to take photos of all the work. I had a wonderful time exploring the grounds before sunset. Found bamboo in the botanical gardens. It was not so lush as we are at the end of autumn, but it is a marvellous palace nevertheless. There is a cafe with very attentive and kind staff, great coffee. We also were very lucky the xmas markets were on at the time. Some beautiful stalls with great artisanal items!

It was nice to visit this palace. In winter time it's not so lovely because of the gardens. There was a little Christmas Bazar where you can enjoy some wine and sweets. There was huge donuts and some traditional foods.

Belvedere Palace was built between 1714 and 1723 as the summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy. After his death,it was acquired by Maria Theresa and transformed into one of the world's first public museums. It has since been used for various purposes, including as a residence for the heir to the throne and most famously,as the location where the Austrian State Treaty was signed in 1955, officially declaring Austria's freedom. Additionally,it houses a significant collection of art, including the world's largest collection of works by Gustav Klimt, with his famous paintings "The Kiss",Monet and Vincent van Gogh. It was a very enjoyable visit that traveled me in time!!
Konstantinos A — Google review
The Belvedere is a wonderful choice for a stroll and for experiencing beauty. The park is very pleasant and inspires a positive outlook, and the museum itself is incredibly aesthetically pleasing. You can see wonderful paintings not only by Klimt but also by other artists, as well as sculptures. There are absolutely unique works of art, portraits, and still lifes that are every bit as good as the famous canvases. The Klimt hall is wonderful; I really enjoyed his landscapes! A wonderful place!
Aida B — Google review
Amazing! The paintings and organisation of the museum is impressive, the collection of Gustav klimit is iconic. If you’re there to discover the palace as a historical place i don’t recommend since there is no rooms displayed. If you’re an art fanatic i recommend 3 hours.
Haya A — Google review
Visiting Belvedere Palace in Vienna is a feast for the eyes, particularly if you appreciate grand architecture and historic structures. The palace itself is stunning, with intricate interiors and elegant layouts that make wandering through its halls a visual delight. Even with parts of the building under restoration, the charm and grandeur of the palace remain impressive. The exhibition, however, is less remarkable. While it has its moments, it doesn’t quite match the awe-inspiring atmosphere created by the palace and its architecture. Art lovers may enjoy it, but for those primarily seeking a “wow” factor, it may feel underwhelming. A practical note: the queues can be long, especially on weekends. Even if you buy tickets online, you may have to wait for a later slot; when we arrived, our online tickets only allowed entry three hours later. Planning ahead and booking well in advance is highly recommended. The gardens are fantastic and free to explore. Locals often jog, run, or just relax there, and it's lovely to see artists drawing or people chilling. Overall, the views and grounds make it worth avisit! Overall, Belvedere Palace is worth visiting for its architecture and historical appeal, but don’t set your expectations too high for the exhibitions.
Kelvin T — Google review
I visited the Belvedere to experience the art of Gustav Klimt and to take in the stunning architecture and perfectly maintained gardens. The museum spans three floors, each offering something remarkable, from the magnificent Marble Hall, where the Austrian State Treaty was signed, to galleries filled with masterpieces from different eras. The highlight, of course, is Klimt’s The Kiss and Judith, along with several of his early works that show his artistic evolution. The atmosphere is both grand and intimate, you feel the history, the art, and the spirit of Vienna all in one place. Book your tickets in advance and stick to your time slot, as it can get busy. Give yourself time to explore the grounds, they’re as inspiring as the collection inside. A must-visit in Vienna. Highly recommended.

The Hofburg Imperial Palace, located in the heart of Vienna, is a grand complex that served as the residence and seat of power for the Habsburgs. This historic site, dating back to the 13th century, stands as a testament to the imperial history of the Danube monarchy. Today, it houses various institutions including the Austrian Federal President's office, museums such as the Sisi Museum and Court Silver Collection, and serves as an international conference center.
Impressive imperial palace complex in the heart of Vienna. Rich history, grand architecture, and well-curated museums make it a must-visit. Allow enough time to explore the Sisi Museum and the Imperial Apartments.

This is an enormous Palace complex. It houses several museums including the Sisi and Albertina, also the Spanish riding school arena and a church. You need to do some homework if you are interested in some of the above. Otherwise strolling around and taking in all the different centuries of architecture is very pleasing.

Hofburg Palace, Vienna In the centre of Vienna stands this majestic palace complex which houses two museums including the famous Sisi museum dedicated to Empress Elisabeth. Built in the 13th century it was the winter residence as well as the seat of the government of the imperial family. The architecture is great and a big tourist attraction. In the front are some ruins and the area is full of tourists all through the day. Horse carts with well attired charioteers are there for the tourists to enjoy royal carriages. Being in the historic old town the place is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Beautiful architecture and very well maintained palace. Nearly 600 years old approx. Has big ground in front with a statue in front. You may also experience vintage car tour or horse cart ride.

Beautiful complex! The gardens are open to the public and certain buildings allow visitors! We only visited the State Hall which was gorgeous and gave a brief, modern history of Austria!

The Austrians certainly know how to do a building and the Hapsburgs really got it right. Just walking around the grounds can still the visitor to quite awe. There are a number of places with the area to visit and requires a ticket but it’s free to walk through the gardens and around the Palace buildings.

Lake Bled is a picturesque destination, surrounded by mountains and forests, with a charming island that houses a historic church. The high season runs from May to October, attracting tourists from various countries. The local cuisine offers modern and diverse dishes, including homemade pasta, soups, and smoked trout specialties. Visitors can enjoy tasting menus featuring light and fresh dishes made from natural ingredients.

Bled is a must visit if you are in Slovenia. We came around end of September, got caught in the rain for the first night but the second day was perfect with sunny weather. Not too crowded during our visit. We love it

It’s our first time in Slovenia so we had to see iconic Lake Bled. We spent 4 hours walking around the lake and taking our time to enjoy the place. It’s beautiful as in a fairytale and there’s plenty to do, toboggan, kayak, SUP, take a pletna boat to the island, just walk around, have a picnic. It’s perfect. There’s definitely tourists around, like ourselves but it wasn’t overcrowded on the day we went in late September. We parked at Straza Bled, found the price most reasonable amongst other carparks for the distance to Lake Bled. 3€ for first 2 hours and 3€ for every next hour. It’s also right next to the fun toboggan.

The island of Maria on Lake Bled feels both real and timeless. I stumbled upon this as the weather shifted, the sun breaking through while a gentle rain fell, creating a moment that felt almost otherworldly.

One of the best lakes in Europe to relax and enjoy. The church is located in the middle of the lake. We can visit the church via rowing boat. Unfortunately we don't have enough time to visit the church and castle. Overall the lake is worth seeing.

The Golden Roof is a renowned Gothic oriel in Innsbruck, adorned with 2657 fire-gilt copper tiles that give it its name. Originally built for Emperor Maximilian and his wife to observe events below, it now houses a museum chronicling Innsbruck's history. The exterior is particularly impressive, featuring murals and intricate designs, while the museum offers an insightful look into the city's past.
The Goldenes Dachl or Golden Roof is a landmark structure located in the Old Town part of Innsbruck, Austria. It is a famous plaza of the city. This was completed in 1500 century. It was decorated with 2,000 plus copper tiles for the Emperor at that time. The Emperor and his wife used the balcony to observe festivals, tournaments, dancing, and other events that took place in the plaza below. Up to this day, the plaza is being used for basking, dancing, and events. It's us a nice walk around the plaza with the varieties of shops.

The Golden Roof is Innsbruck’s most famous landmark, a late Gothic balcony built in 1500 for Emperor Maximilian I and decorated with 2,657 gilded copper tiles. It’s an impressive piece of history and a symbol of the city, though the small size can feel a bit underwhelming compared to its fame. Worth a look while wandering the Old Town, especially for the historical significance, but don’t expect a grand spectacle.

A must-see in Innsbruck! The Golden Roof is the city’s iconic landmark. Its 2,657 fire-gilded copper tiles still shine brilliantly after centuries! Built by Emperor Maximilian I to celebrate his wedding, it’s not just stunning outside — the museum inside offers a fascinating glimpse into imperial history. The mix of Gothic and early Renaissance architecture is beautiful, and the detailed reliefs bring the past to life. A perfect stop to experience the spirit of old Austria.

Perched on a rocky outcrop in the heart of a picturesque plain, Hochosterwitz Castle is a medieval marvel with a history dating back over 1,000 years. This imposing fortress boasts 14 defensive gates and offers panoramic views of Slovenia and East Austria from its elevated position. The castle's walls and crenellations wind their way up the mount, leading to the formidable fortress at its summit.
It’s an absolute gem! Perched dramatically on a hilltop, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The climb up through its 14 fortified gates is a unique experience, and the well-preserved architecture makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Inside, the small museum and charming courtyards add to the castle’s historic charm. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves history, stunning landscapes, and fairytale-like castles!

A powerful castle from the outside, the view is wonderful from the top. But the fee is very high for basically nothing, one room and a restaurant, even the most basic shops, we were surprised and not in a good way, we have already been to castles with a lot of investment that had something to see...
טל פ — Google review
Hochosterwitz Castle stands as a magnificent testament to medieval architecture, perched atop a 150-meter-high dolomite rock in Launsdorf, Austria. Its commanding location not only offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Carinthian landscape but also highlights its historical significance as a strategic fortress designed to withstand sieges and invasions over centuries. Visitors often describe the journey to the castle as an integral part of the experience, with the walk up offering spectacular scenery and a sense of anticipation, although the castle can also be accessed via a funicular for those who prefer an easier ascent. The castle's defining feature is its series of 14 fortified gates, each representing a different aspect of medieval defensive architecture. These gates, which served as formidable obstacles for invaders, are a major highlight, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the castle’s rich military history. Walking through these gates not only provides insight into medieval siege tactics but also amplifies the sense of stepping back into a time of knights and battlements. The structure’s well-preserved architecture, including towers, battlements, and defensive walls, underscores its importance as a resilient stronghold during the Ottoman invasions and other historical conflicts. Inside, the castle boasts a collection of medieval weaponry and armor, as well as a museum that showcases its layered history. The interior spaces, including a castle chapel, armory, and various courtyards, reflect a blend of functional military design and past aristocratic lifestyles. The armory, in particular, is a fascinating display of medieval warfare, while the castle’s panoramic vantage points provide stunning views of the lush Carinthian landscape, emphasizing its military and scenic importance. Visitors often remark on the unique experience offered by exploring these historic interiors, which are complemented by occasional displays of contemporary art integrated into the historic setting. The history of Hochosterwitz dates back to its first mention in 860 AD. The castle was fortified extensively in the 16th century, notably under the patronage of the Khevenhüller family, transforming it into one of the most formidable military bastions of its time. Today, it stands as a symbol of resilience and a vital part of Carinthian cultural heritage, attracting thousands of visitors annually who come to admire its historical architecture, sweeping views, and intriguing stories. The experience of visiting Hochosterwitz is enhanced by its accessibility and the variety of activities on offer ranging from exploring the castle grounds and towers to engaging with its cultural exhibitions. The site’s scenic location, historical depth, and well-preserved structures make it one of Austria’s most impressive medieval castles, celebrated for its architectural grandeur and panoramic vistas that extend over the rugged landscape of Carinthia. Whether as a day trip from nearby towns or as a historical pilgrimage, Hochosterwitz remains an iconic and awe-inspiring monument to Austria’s medieval past and enduring strength.
A B — Google review
The castle is set in a beautiful natural surrounding and is impressive through the number of gates you have to go through to enter it (or conquer it in the Middle Ages). The tickets are quite expensive (we paid 77 euro for a family of 3 with one-way lift access included). If you purchase 2-way lift access, they are going to be more expensive. You can also climb and descend on foot, in which case the tickets will be a little cheaper. There were 2 exhibitions in the main castle: a permanent one, which looked a bit dusty and old-school, telling the history of the castle and the family owning it. The temporary exhibition was dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci, and costed extra. There are also a restaurant serving local specialties, toilets and a gift shop. Most defense towers and gates are either permanently closed or under renovation, so they cannot be visited. You can have some amazing views of the surrounding areas from the top level.
Marius Z — Google review
Entry is a bit pricier, but the castle is totally worth it. The walk to the top is easy, no need to take the lift (except for visitors with health impairment). Adequate parking right by the gate. Restaurant at the top was a pleasant surprise, decent food and prices not through the roof. The place was not super crowded and you can comfortably buy tickets at the spot.
Tondo P — Google review
A special place where the ancient history still lives on. Could get 5 stars when the museum becomes updated. The views are stunning. The food is also good and affordable considering the location. Can however be difficult to find a parking.

Fantastic mountain top destination. First day we went up it was cold and rainy. Second day was just perfect. The kids played in the outdoor playground and I went for relatively easy hike to the connected mountains. Just wonderful place. A comfortable gondola for both cyclists and hikers, which only takes a few minutes to get to the top of the mountain at 2079 meters above sea level. The bike-enabled gondolas require some fiddling to fit 2 bikes, but the staff is very helpful in ensuring that your bikes are affixed safely inside the cabin. From the top, a choice of downhill trails is available,

It has been probably caused by the actual weather conditions, but I've been already more enjoying ski in couple of other places where you could find well prepared slopes with corduroy surface even in the afternoon. Sölden was the absolute too and Obertauern the best price/value 😉

In winter easy access to the top of the mountain and from there to red, black and blue slopes, the blue one being the link to Schmittenhohe. Parking over- as well as underground (otherwise fully booked early in the morning). Close to the town and skirent stores. Startpoint to the Saalbach skicircuit.

One of the popular ski lifts. It does get busy but that’s to be expected in peak ski season. You can purchase lift passes here. Close to bus terminal (at the base of the gondela ), you will find access to the ski bus here and your regional busses for example the bus that would take you back to Zell am See. There are a variety of slopes at the very top of Schattberg, there is the famous black run and some very pleasant red and blue runs. For snowboarders you can take your board into the gondela just remember to grab a cover for your board before you climb into the gondela. The ride going up is also awesome , spectacular views while going up the mountain and also from the top of the mountain. Lovely restaurant at the top to eat at or to grab a drink. Again this gondela is suitable for skiers, boarders and ‘pedestrians’ who want to just enjoy breathtaking views.

The Hohe Tauern National Park Information Centre offers an immersive experience with its interactive museum and 3D film showcasing the stunning Alpine landscape. Covering 1800 square kilometers, this nature reserve boasts diverse habitats for a wide range of species, making it one of the most impressive high mountain landscapes globally. Visitors can join small group tours led by trained national park rangers to explore the area. The center provides comprehensive information on various aspects such as animals, plants, and nature.
While exploring the area, we came across the Hohe Tauern National Park Information Centre in Mittersill, and it turned out to be a great find. This interactive museum offers fascinating insights into the national park, including its wildlife, landscapes, and ecosystems. One of the highlights was the 3D cinema experience, which brought the beauty of the park to life in an engaging way. It’s a great spot for families, as there are plenty of interactive displays that kids will enjoy. You can easily spend an hour or two here learning about the park before heading out to explore the real thing. The centre also has a coffee shop and a gift shop, making it a nice place to take a break. Visited on July 4th on our way back from Krimml waterfalls. It is nice little museum. Their 360° movie theater was great. Very interesting centre, packed with information. Perfect when the weather is not ideal for walking in the mountains. Plenty to keep kids entertained, with interactive exhibits. All the information boards are in German and English. The English translations are good (which definitely isn't the case everywhere in the region). The Spanish Riding School, also known as the Spanische Hofreitschule, is a historic institution dating back to 1735. It was established by Emperor Maximilian II and is renowned for training white Lipizzaner stallions. Located in the Baroque Winter Riding School within the grounds of Vienna's Hofburg Palace, it offers regular tours and shows that showcase impressive equestrian skills.
We did the tour which was informative. You do get to see the school and horses, however we arrived on a Monday, which is the horses day off to relax. We purchased the tickets ahead of time since the tours do get booked full. The performances are done on the weekend. The tour guide spoke good English and was interesting.

The History alone, related to this School, which continues 100’s of years later, is astonishing. Is it pricey. Yup. But, worth every penny. Amazing display of Horsemanship. And of course Rider talent was at a level never seen by me before. A bit confusing getting to the right section of stairways leading to the show area, but there is help around to assist. Next to the ZOO this was my favorite Animal related thing to do in Vienna.
Tomas M — Google review
Real art of riding- I was impressed and at the same time wondered how much the horses love it and if they do get enough playtime as well. Absolutely beautiful animals and skilled riders. The setting is stunning and you should do it at least once in a lifetime!!! We only had standing seats as we booked too late which was very uncomfortable and not the best view.
Anja M — Google review
There are a number of options to visit. We selected the ticket at €26 (standing) each to see a 45 minute show which began at 11am. Clearly there is emphasis to sell many tickets as there were so many people it was hard to move causing a concern if a fire started. Staff could learn some manners by the way they talk to visitors. The 45 minute show itself was in 3 parts and really the 3rd part was the best which I would call a show and not rehearsals dressed up to look like a show. Oh yes, apparently you are not allowed (abruptly told to not do so) to take video or photographs so here is what I managed to take! Viewing the stables does not cost anything. Clearly counting on the fame of the riding school for people to book without any care for them.
Daren K — Google review
Please note: taking photos is PROHIBITED during the show! If, like me, you were looking forward to admiring the show while filming or taking photos... Prepare yourself for a huge disappointment (It indeed was one for me). The show itself is enjoyable, but not exceptional. You can see more impressive acts in a circus than at the Spanish Riding School. If you're expecting breathtaking pirouettes or mind-blowing tricks, you're in for another bitter disappointment. Add to this the fact that prices range from a few hundred euros for a premium numbered seat to around 25 euros for an unreserved standing place (first come, first served), and that's for only a 45 minutes show, and that you have to wait in line for over 30 minutes to even have a chance of getting a good standing place... It's up to you to do the math and decide if it's worth it. I'll probably surprise you by saying it's worth it! You're in Vienna, and the setting and atmosphere are unique. After all, you're in a wing of the Hofburg, and the experience is priceless.

I arrived at the ticket window an hour before the show and there were still 4 categories of seats available, even though on-line check said standing room only was all that was left. I bought a ticket on the ground floor. I thought it was the best place to sit! I could see all the horses' leg movements unlike people on the upper floors who had to peer down, this includes the standing room only people. No photos allowed during the performance. These pictures are from ground floor and first floor.

A must visit either to see the stables on a tour or see the performance. Be aware, If you want to see the performance book well in advance because tickets sell out very quickly. I brought my tickets direct from Spanish Riding School and for my seat on the side it was £90 ( Sept 2025 prices). Yes it's cheaper to stand and you get not a bad view but you get a much better view sitting down. Also no rucksacks are allowed inside the area, But i found left luggage lockers at Vienna Central Station for my small rucksack for 2 euros ( Sept 2025 prices) It only goes on for approx 1 hrs and 10 mins but so enjoyable in a beautiful area. The riders were brilliant in their handling of the horses and the classical music complented the moves the riders made. The lippinaners are so strong and you even see some young lippinaners. The whole experience is just a lovely, feel good, watch.

Hello everyone! We visited on the 7th of August 2025, and here is my experience; We bought tickets through eventim for a “MorgenArbeit” performance which is a morning training- it was definitely a worthy experience, worth the price range (around 60€ for three persons, 2nd best seats) please note that photos and videos during the performance are forbidden- you will likely be politely asked to stop recording and may be asked to leave! The stallions are beautiful, so is the building! I highly recommend also booking the tour of their stables, it’s a very informative tour, where you may take photos in most areas! A must visit for any tourist or traveler, especially if you’re an equestrian yourself!
