Hostel
Hostel Folks is a comfortable and affordable hostel in the heart of town. It offers private rooms and mixed or single-sex dorms, along with a shared kitchen. Guests appreciate the well-equipped shared bathrooms and showers.
I’ve stayed in numerous hostels across Europe, and when I visited Bratislava, I immediately discovered Hostel Folk on a third-party booking platform. I booked right away, and it exceeded all my expectations. The location is perfect right accros the city and just a short walk from all the major attractions. Dear fellow travelers, don’t waste time scrolling through other hostels in Bratislava. I stayed here for five days, from December 27th to January 1st, 2025, and had the best stay ever. I will definitely be coming back!
Michael P — Google review
Due to the location being directly above a night club that stays open until 6:00 AM and plays loud bass and music with people screaming outside all night it was impossible to sleep or even relax so I spent all night and early morning in constant uneasy state listening to techno/rap bass that was designed to keep party goers awake. I stayed. 2 nights in dorm and 1 in a private room. The facilities are clean and comfortable during the day. The 8 bed dorm is bearable but still loud at night but it's far enough down from the club downstairs that you can't really hear or feel the bass. Although if any of the windows are open in the room it can be extremely loud. Drunk people literally screaming. I found earplugs helped a bit but probably not good enough for light sleepers as I'm a heavy sleeper once I can get to sleep. It's also right next to the main road with tram route so the tram rattles the entire building throughout the day and early night. The washer and dryer they use is in the hallway so you can hear that as well and for some reason the staff dryer was running at 3 am and making loud noises. During the weekdays maybe this place would be suitable to stay at because the club may not go so late but if you are booking the weekend be cautious as no ear plugs will prevent the bass and outside sounds from keeping you awake. Also the hostel could invest in curtains for the windows because the street lights are very bright and let so much light into the room at night that it never gets very dark in any of the rooms. Plus they keep the lights in the hallway on all night and cannot be turned off bc there is no light switch so it lets a lot of light into the room because the door has glass panel for some reason. I fortunately had a sleep mask but not ideal or comfortable to sleep with it on. What the hostel could do better? Be transparent about the noise and bass from the club. Don't even book the rooms above the club on weekends or when the club is even open honestly. If someone does want the room to sell it at such a cheap price that makes them not feel taken advantage of or ripped off. However, had I known what the private room above the club was going to be like or even knowing it was directly above the club when I booked I wouldn't sleep in it for free. Maybe others will if location matters more to them and plan to be out till 6 am every night. But in that case you might as well stay at one of the official party hostels. I initially stayed at this also cuz I thought it was going to be quiet and chill. Turned out to be the opposite unfortunately. Also another thing that bothered me is they have very older men there that kind of do some weird things I can post a video to explain. We notified the receptionist but they didn't do anything about it. One of the guys was doing this at 5:00 AM in the morning and woke everybody up in the room.

Superb host, great location, room and communal areas were all spotless as was the shared bathroom, comfortable stay, highly recommend!

My experience was very nice until I came one night from dinner at around 10.30pm to find a drunk man at the reception area who started to talk to me and even tried to touch me.. nobody was there at the reception and I could only bother some people in the shared room to speak to him then I had to take quickly my stuff and leave at night. Thankfully I knew a friend in the city and just left. Security should be reconsidered. There is no-one after 9pm. Besides this, I liked the rooms and the location.
Hande G — Google review
Beware! This is above a strip club (Club8) that plays music until 5am. If the Club is open you are not sleeping.

Everything was great, exactly what I wanted. Hostel in great location, reasonably priced, my dorm was large and not crowded, guests were quiet and respectful, and to a high standard of cleanliness. The host was very friendly and helpful, and allowed me to store my bag for a few hours after checkout. I'd have no hesitation staying here again.

The room for a hostel was very good, clean, spacious and functional. The service was above and beyond! Rado gave us a warm welcome, helped with schlepping our bikes, and gave us the best tips on how to enjoy our short stay in Bratislava. If you’re traveling on a budget, the room and facilities are clean, and the atmosphere is great.

If you are looking for a budget-friendly hostel in downtown Bratislava with great atmosphere, Patio Hostel is the perfect place for you. The hostel has a nice courtyard where you can relax and chat with fellow travellers. It also has a bar on site, private rooms and dorms, and free Wi-Fi.
In general this Hostel was a fantastic place to stay in, my friend and I really enjoyed it and the staff were very friendly! The rooms were clean and there were facilities for washing clothes, storing bicycles and other heavy items (e.g. bags), we luckily still had access to the storage room, even after we checked out. In general, the only minor issues I've had were that the locks weren't in the best shape and that the water pressure was somewhat low, but still usable either way. Additionally, the location it was one was slightly discomforting at first, but one gets used to it fairly quickly. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a budget friendly stay, especially for students!
Physically I — Google review
Great hostel, nice common areas, age limit (only for young people). Mixed dorms but with very nice people. Colorful bed sheets that make everything feel much more welcoming. Simple rooms but clean.
Clara H — Google review
This was by far the worst hostel experience we’ve had. We booked a private room with a bathroom, but upon arrival, the door had been left open. Inside, it was obvious that someone had recently used the bathroom—it was wet, and personal items like shampoo and shower gel had been left behind. Later that night, someone even attempted to enter our room. I’ve seen the hostel recommend booking a private room, but based on our experience, I strongly advise against it. Spending €128 for two nights here was a complete waste—the value, safety, and overall conditions do not match the cost. On top of that, the hostel is extremely noisy, even in so-called “private” rooms. The only positive side is the location.
Evgenija K — Google review
The place is very close to the city center, only 3 tram stops from the central station, and its price is very reasonable. It has free laundry if you have washing powder, and if you don't have it, you can buy it from the reception for 2.5 euros. Its drawbacks are the smell of uncleanliness and the lack of a cover for the privacy of the upper bed in particular.
Karim G — Google review
Honestly no issues at all. I booked a private room which meant I could have the fan all to myself. I think it might have been a bit too warm in the dorms. I had no problems with noise or disturbances. I didn't use the kitchen but I had a look and it did look good. The hostel is clean and in a great location. I really like the outdoor area too. I would stay here again.
Claire T — Google review
We stayed in a triple sharing room with a private ensuite as a family of three - we had towels included and a small packet of toiletries. We also had a fan in our room as well as a hammock which we did not use. The staff were alright, not the most welcoming and the kitchen and laundry room were comfortable to use. Great price for what you get - really affordable.
Dhwani J — Google review
Patio Hostel is a great place to stay! It's got a really friendly vibe and the staff are super helpful. The common areas are nice for meeting other travelers, and the location is awesome. It's a solid choice for a trip.
Danny S — Google review
I was staying at this hostel three days ago, and something happened on the day of my checkout. Someone stole my food. I explained the situation at the reception, and Milka the receptionist there told me there was nothing they could do to help. I explained that I had already been staying for two days and just wanted to know if anyone could take other people's things without anything being done, and she said yes. I asked for any actions about it instead of asking for money because I was interested in the food. But my request was denied, and she also told me I could make a complaint, which was my decision 🤣🤣. terrible treatment

Nestled in Bratislava's Old Town, Wild Elephants Hostel offers simple dorm accommodations with free Wi-Fi, a TV lounge, and a shared kitchen. Despite its name, the hostel is known for its vibrant social activities that cater to solo travelers. The atmosphere is described as casual and welcoming, with a family-like vibe. Guests praise the friendly staff and the opportunity to meet fellow young travelers from around the world.
The hostel is a very fun and friendly place. PJ, the manager, was nice and welcoming. Also the other staff was great, helping and made me feel home. There are a lot of facilities, like a more productive area, laundry, a rooftop bar with games... The position is perfect to visit Bratislava. A warm hug to Andrew ❤️

Amazing hostel and great staff. Ben specifically was an amazing host, along with Nico and Miguel at the front desk. I had a wonderful experience and it felt like a family staying here. I would 10/10 recommend anyone planning/debating to stay here in the future. Clean hostel, good vibes, incredible activity planning. Please join the Wild Elephants in making your travel experience unreal!!!!

Bit of a 50/50 review. I have stayed at this hostel three times, the reason I returned is; it's clean, safe, comfortable and you can meet some cool people here and it's very cheap for what's on offer. There's daily activites which are free such as Slovak lunch (which you pay for what you order) exploration of the city and outskirts. The kitchen is equipped so you can cook your own meals. The staff I met goes right down the middle; some were friendly, helpful and really good people but others were just flat out rude or up their own as$. The downsides! The pub crawl is by far the worst in Europe - €20 to visit empty, rundown bars which are free to the public. But on the upside you get to meet new people and you get two free drink tokens. I was quite taken back by the attitude of some of the volunteers leading the pub crawl and them trying to prevent somebody from entering like I said a free entry bar open to the public. You do not stay together, towards the end of the night you're just abandoned and when you're drunk and new to the city that is a lame move. Shout out to Dan who looked after people when he was on the pub crawl. Personally I would swerve the pub crawl and if you meet people in the dorms go out as a group and explore the cool and busy nightlife of Bratislava. This is just matter of opinon and hope that they change up the pub crawl completely.
Daniel M — Google review
Had so much fun here! The staff and volunteers were so friendly and I really met a lot of cool people! Felt very safe and welcomed by everyone. One of the volunteers (Wolf) even walked with me back to Urban one night when I was staying there. Overall would recommend staying at Wild! Especially if you like to socialize/party.
Laney P — Google review
Wild Elephants was a fantastic experience! My hosts, Ben, Nish, and kiara were really welcoming and made the experience so much better. I stayed for 2 nights and it was honestly one of the best hostel experiences I've ever had. The location is really close to the city centre and they do tons of hostel events. Highly recommend :-)
Henry S — Google review
Had an amazing stay. There were loads of pub crawls, a lake party and loads of other activities throughout the week. The volunteers were all fantastic especially Laila, who was super friendly and made sure everyone had a good time at the activities. Would definitely recommend this hostel.
Zak T — Google review
I really recommend this hostel if you like to party and you want to meet a lot of amazing people form all over the world. Here you can have fun every night of the week and there are many activities to do during the day. The volunteers are amazing, Laila is really cool and full of energy

Urban Elephants Hostel, the sister hostel of Wild Elephants, offers a more relaxed and social atmosphere compared to its party-centric counterpart. Located in the heart of Bratislava, this hostel provides a shared lounge, free WiFi, and a bar. Guests praise the spacious and clean facilities as well as the welcoming and homely environment created by friendly staff and fellow travelers.
I had a great experience staying at this centrally located hostel. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Liv, who explained everything about the hostel and told me about the daily activities they organize in collaboration with the other nearby hostel. The place is very clean and well-maintained – even the bathrooms and showers were spotless, which is definitely not something to take for granted in a hostel. The staff are super friendly, helpful, and always available with a smile. This hostel is perfect for solo travelers: it’s easy to meet new people in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, but at the same time, it offers peace and quiet when you need a break. Thanks to the collaboration with the other hostel (which has more of a party vibe), you really get the best of both worlds – social energy and calm rest. I especially liked the WhatsApp group they use to keep guests updated about all the daily activities – such a thoughtful and convenient idea. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a balanced, clean, and enjoyable hostel experience!

Fantastic place !! Loved it❤️‍🔥everyone was so welcoming, kind and inclusive! As a solo traveller I made so many beautiful friends from all over the world, not just the guest but other volunteers as well especially Kevin, and Katarina . Honestly all the activities were so good!!! Slovak lunch 😋😋 so yummy. Daily activity was so much fun 🤩 I was here a few days so got to try out a couple, they ranged from picnics at the river/ lake to drunken hide and seek. But in the hostel was really well kept and clean, beds were comfy!!! Would go again, highly recommend
Leah T — Google review
Very welcoming atmosphere. They make sure you meet people (Steve especially) and socialise with various outings. You also get the chance to experience unique aspects of the city! This hostel makes Bratislava worth a visit!
Zoe E — Google review
Your time at this hostel comes down to the great service and endless care the volunteers show you. Celio deserves a massive shout out. What a legend. From taking us on a free walking tour to a thoughtful afternoon social spot. He went above and beyond as one of the volunteers. The rooms, Mattress and general TLC of the building needs a bit of love. But then again if your intention is to come for rest and relaxation your better off booking a hotel. This place does socialising really well!! They also have a quite hours for those that do want rest. But you really want to get stuck in with the activities the hostel throw. It's fun!
Hamza A — Google review
From the moment I arrived at Urban Elephants, I knew I had chosen well. This hostel strikes the perfect balance between sociability and comfort — an ideal spot for solo travelers, young adventurers, and anyone who wants to connect without sacrificing rest, Also shout out to Laura, I had the best time with her, she's a great host who makes everyone feel included
Steve J — Google review
Our stay at the urban elephants was good and was almost perfect. We used the solo room alternative and enjoyed it. The room felt maybe slightly worse for wear, but nothing major. Bike stands were a nice surprise since we were cycling.
Felix O — Google review
The hostel was easily the best i’ve stayed at. I stayed for the lake party and then extended my stay because of how much fun i was having. The rooms are very well kept. We were helped very much by Sari the volunteer. She showed us lots of local things to do and where to get money. 10/10 will be staying again

Oyomeivart was one of the outstanding volunteers there who really helped out if you had any question or just wanted to have a nice chat. I had a great time there. The daily programs made it easily possible to get in touch with other travelers. Simply loved it there.

CHORS Hostel is a unique and original accommodation located in the heart of the Old Town district of Bratislava. The hostel offers comfortable, modern and affordable private rooms as well as dorms for up to 30 people. In addition to this, guests can enjoy a bar and breakfast in our comfortable lounge area. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hostel.
The hotel is really clean and the self check in works perfectly. Just remember to grab some ear plugs in case anybody in the room is snoring as the walls between beds are really thin so you can hear everything. It's a budget friendly experience worth having :)
Michał W — Google review
Okay, so the thing is: We booked the private room for two people with shared bathrooms, not being aware there is no window there (our fault). I think for the price, this specific type of room is really not worth it. I recommend rather just upgrading to a private room with windows and paying a bit more. The room was so tiny, you couldn‘t move in there. There was also like zero storage space. I have lived in a 5 square meter room and this one felt even smaller than that. It feels like a prison cell also because there‘s no windows and it was SO COLD all the time. Even though we even asked staff to turn up the room temperature to 24/25 degrees and we were there during summer when it was 30 degrees outside. It was so incredibly cold the whole time, I could barely sleep. The AC also woke us up everyday at 8am by starting to blow air in super loudly. Honestly, I would rather stay in prison for a few nights than having to stay here again. The service was nice though and the kitchen area and bathrooms were also quite clean. The terrace is nice to chill too. And the location is very good.
S. D — Google review
Overall, it was a good experience. The rooms have the necessary conditions for a one- or two-night stay. We stayed in a Private Room, even though we had booked a double capsule. Upon arrival, however, we found a capsule with only one pillow for two people. We went to the reception and were promptly assisted — they moved us to a Private Room and immediately apologized. Cleanliness was okay, but the showers could use more space to place personal items, especially in the women's area. The hotel design is very nice, although I believe that for the price paid, it could offer better amenities. It’s well located. That said, I want to emphasize again that it’s suitable for a one- or two-night stay.
Fábio C — Google review
A really good choice for a night in Bratislava. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, which made the stay very pleasant. The only downside was that no towels were provided, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, still a great option for short stays.
Leart R — Google review
Check in Sept 19, 2025. Firstly, I'd like to commend the night staff during my check in, she tried her very best to find solution ways around my room situation upon check in. Location is quite central on the pedestrianised area of Bratislava I. I booked a private 2.0 bed from their website which was confirmed and paid for in advance. My flight got delayed and I ended up arriving in the accommodation close to midnight only to find out there was no private room reserved for me, no email/call/text message whatsoever. I can no longer find other accommodation as it was already past midnight by then. Exhausted from the trip and frustrated with the situation, I conceded and accepted the capsule in a 6-bed room, the only one they have available at that time. Staff gave me a discount and processed a refund for my excess payment (still waiting to be posted in my account but its a weekend so fair enough), and offered me free drinks from the bar and free breakfast (which i missed, my fault). The capsule given (23-1) looked like someone was sleeping in it before me as the blanket was messy and it seem to have a faint smell of something. I informed the staff but since its the last one, I didn't really have a choice. Sleep was ok but evening after checkout (Sept 20) i noticed red bumps like insect marks all over my upper thighs and above both of my elbows which eventually started to itch so bad I had to take medications. I suspect bed bugs on the blanket as i used it as second pillow rather than a blanket, not a very good start of my leg of travel. Never in my hostel/hotel experience in my life have I been bitten with bed bugs so bad I had to leave a review. It was an awful night that ruined my experience days after.
Tami G — Google review
Clean and modern with a good location. The capsules (at least the top ones) suffered from being much too hot (in October with all the windows open!). They could be improved with in-bunk fans as are common at some other hostels.
Gwyan R — Google review
Excellent hostel thats much bigger then it appears from the outside. Beds are very comfortable and clean. Well done to the cleaning staff as its not easy to clean a hostel that has a lot of different rooms and Beds. Some of the staff are so sweet (Blonde girl with glasses) but one particular girl isn't! Location is perfect. If I was the manager/owner, I wouldn't change much!
IcantdenyReality ( — Google review
This place exceeded my expectations. The price is very reasonable when compared to rival hostels in Bratislava as well as to other hostels in Budapest and Prague. Yet, there really is no equivalent with its unique business model. The place is in immaculate condition and staffed efficiently. it is in a strategic location and has a fun atmosphere. While most of the guests were much younger than me, I felt at ease as a senior.

Hostel
Safestay Bratislava is a casual hostel offering understated dorms and private rooms, making it ideal for solo travelers. The accommodation is simple but decent, with clean and spacious dorm-style rooms featuring good lighting. The onsite bar and restaurant provide convenient dining options, while the common seating area offers a relaxing space for guests to socialize or unwind.
My stay at this hostel was extremely disappointing(10000*) and I strongly advise future guests to reconsider booking here!!!!! The picture on the google map was very misleading. Which was the worse mistake in my Europe trip. Please be aware. 1. The customer service was unhelpful and seemed indifferent to guests’ concerns. 2. Several bed sheets were clearly worn out and even had visible stains, including lipstick stains I photographed. 3. Chewing gum was stuck on the bed handle, which looked old and suggested the area had not been cleaned for a long time. 4. The double bed construction felt flimsy, and the mattress was terrible. On the upper bunk, the entire bed shook violently whenever the person below moved or coughed—which happened dozens of times through the night—making it almost impossible to sleep. 5. Both bathrooms were unpleasant, with a strong, lingering odor that suggested very poor cleaning standards. 6. The entrance is tiny, poorly marked, and easy to miss even when you’re looking for it. 7. There was no fan or air conditioning, making the room unbearably hot and stuffy in humid weather. 8. The lockers are so small they’re essentially useless for any normal luggage. Everyone in the dorm had their bags scattered on the floor or shoved under beds. 9. The city tax of €3.5 can only be paid by card—this was never made clear in advance and felt deliberately inconvenient. 10. The property has no elevator, and the stairs are steep and difficult to manage with luggage. 11. In a six-bed dorm, there was just one extension cord with three outlets for everyone—completely inadequate for charging phones or devices. 12. There was no proper lighting in the room—no ceiling light at all. I have never stayed in a place like this before. Overall, this was one of the worst hostel experiences I’ve ever had. Almost every aspect failed to meet even the most basic expectations. I would give it the lowest possible rating.

This hostel makes me feel that only the cheaper rooms are worth paying for!! I stayed here three times… the first and the third one were amazing. I booked the 6 bed dorm room and the beds were comfortable. The pillow was “OK” and the blanket did the job. But on my second stay in other hand… I came with my girlfriend to the private room just for me and her. I booked in the website the king size bed and got the “two twin” bedroom. I complained and they said they couldn’t do anything since there was no king size bed available anymore (so they shouldn’t let me book it!) but I was okay since me and my gf stay on two twin beds all the time and we just put the bed together. The Twin beds were worse than we thought! The were very sturdy. You feel like you’re falling whenever you get close to the edge. The mattress was also not rigid at all, adding to the sturdy bed it was very hard to sleep because we had the sensation of falling the whole time. It was a very uncomfortable experience with those shitty beds. I’d for sure book it here anytime I’m by myself on the comfortable dorm rooms. But never again booking the private. The bed was a nightmare

They gave me a room on the 3rd floor with no lift and no help with my suitcases and no prior notice (I had requested a ground floor room if they didn't have a lift!) . My room price came with towels which they didn't give even on my repeated asking! The night receptionist partied loudly until 3:30am outside my room creating a huge ruckus! The kitchen (in the basement, 4 floors of stairs down for me) was chargeable even for water! Filthy room, linen, no response to emails or requests
Malvika K — Google review
My stay at this hostel was very disappointing. First of all, the receptionist was very unfriendly and seemed angry. Secondly, the upper beds don’t have charging sockets — how is that even possible? Also, each block has only three bathrooms, and the showers are inside the bathrooms too. How can more than 20 people share just three bathrooms? Plus, the luggage storage is very small and only fits a small bag.
Abdeljabar R — Google review
Absolutely unbelievable — the room was dirty, and in my room there was a man walking around only in his underwear (I’m a woman), showing no respect at all. When I spoke to the reception, they did nothing about it and just told me to talk to him myself. I found it extremely disrespectful.

Youth hostels charge extra for almost everything. You have to pay for the 🔒 key and also leave a deposit, and even the hair dryer costs extra—this is really inconvenient for business travelers. The Wi-Fi speed downstairs is very slow, and the entire building only has stairs. On top of that, there's an additional 3.5 euro tourist city tax by the way location is also really bad!
S S — Google review
The hostel had a sketchy vibe from the start. It smelled badly on the stairs leading to the rooms. You had to pay for everything including the kitchen. If you need to store your baggage there for a few hours you need to pay a 3€ fee per person and your bags are left unsupervised in an open room which offers zero security. There were barely any plugs in our room, especially for the beds on top of the bunk beds. It’s also not worthy spending your money on their breakfast because it’s extremely poor on variety of food and everything was really low quality. The pavements in the bathrooms and showers were always extremely wet and dirty. The only good thing about this place was the location, which was really close to the main train station and also the all female shared room felt safe. Wouldn’t however stay here again.
Madalena — Google review
Good location, not clean enough, beds are too soft and there is a chance that you can fall off, if you are near the edges. No tv in the room and the whole floor smelled awful from the toilet, which was all the time open. Also very loud in the nights and man can hear the other guest slamming their doors.

If you're on the lookout for a vibrant and welcoming place to stay in Bratislava, look no further than Hostel Blues. This hostel stands out as an ideal choice for solo travelers, offering a friendly atmosphere that encourages social interaction without solely focusing on drinking activities. With free Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchen, and a lively bar featuring live music, it’s perfect for those looking to connect with fellow adventurers.
I and my friend stayed there for one night. The hostel and the room was clean and well maintained. It is very much in the centre and everything is reachable by walk. A very social and helpful staff. <br/>PS: Thanks to the Koala girl for the nice tips for restaurants and obviously providing a good company at the hostel bar. :)

Not a bad hostel. Wish curtains were darker in the rooms. Bathrooms are nice enough. Cool lounge area on first floor and very helpful staff. It's too hot not to have AC in the rooms though. I had a hard time sleeping because of this.
Forrest — Google review
It's a nice hotel, close to bus stations and city centre. The rooms aren't big, but they're clean and so is the bathroom. However, I believe they were a little cold. Beds are comfortable (can't say the same about the pillows). Atmosphere is nice, not many people (February), but we got a couple as roommates that made our stay waaay more enjoyable. Recommended for people who are on a budget and don't spend much time in the hostel.
María V — Google review
Towels are included in price but they wouldn't give you if you don't go ask for it. Even when you ask, sometimes they are like "we don't have any more." What the hell? One of the staff is not friendly. Hostel room is fairly simple, small and hot. It's noisy days and nights due to the location. Ventilator is lame, not sufficient for even such a small room. Though location is good, I wouldn't come back. The only positive things until now are they let you check in earlier if the bed is already available. The girl who checked me in was helpful and explained everything in detail, which I appreciate. Oh, and make sure you have dinner as early as possible since many places are closed after 8 pm.
Grace V — Google review
It was a neat and clean hostel, with wonderful service. The receptionists were friendly, and give you advice on what you can visit nearby. There are also vouchers for pub crawls and similar events for various days of the week. Though the hostel has a mini bar, I would recommend to go out and explore the city at night, where food and drinks are reasonably cheap. The hostel also provides a 5 euro taxi to the train station which can be booked by the hostel on request (quite helpful). The location is accessible by tram, and is also close to the main train station.
Manorama K — Google review
The hostel blues has a nice and chill atmosphere, the staff is informative, nice and very helpful. The toilets, the washing rooms are very clean and there is a kitchen with every supply you need to cook your own meal. The reception of the hostel serves a double purpose: it's a bar as well. The beer is cheap and refrigerated. Overall it was a great experience staying in this hostel because there are always people nearby willing to party. I would always prefer a hostel of that type over a more exclusive one.
Klaus P — Google review
I literally have nothing to complain about this hostel. The prices are good, the staff is really friendly and speaks good English. No need to carry your heavy bags all the way up since there is an elevator. Also the cooking Slovakian cuisine together with the whole hostel was really nice! Definitely the best hostel I've stayed at in Eastern Europe.

When searching for an economical place to stay for a couple of nights, you can't go wrong with Hostel Blues. It provides clean beds, hot water and good views if you are lucky enough to land a top floor room. The stuff is friendly and helpful, the reception area an attraction by itself. WiFi everywhere. Top quality amenities for the asking price. Recommended.

Hyde Park Hostel is a modest accommodation located in the heart of Bratislava, just a short distance from the Old Town. The hostel offers no-frills rooms with en suite bathrooms and complimentary Wi-Fi access. Guests can take advantage of luggage storage facilities and a shared kitchen during their stay. The rooms feature charming wooden floors, private showers, and satellite TVs for entertainment. Despite its proximity to a lively street, the hostel provides a cozy and comfortable atmosphere at an affordable price point.
Cheap and friendly hostel in the center of Bratislava. The room was spacious and had everything I needed for two nights. The owner is very friendly and gave me a warm welcome. I would definitely come back! Thanks again !!

The host was very welcoming and gave us great advice on where to eat. The room was spacious and offered a nice fan. The location was great, very close walk to the castle and is right outside the tram and local McDonalds! Not to mention it was very cheap!

Very good. My friend was disappointed with fried cheese but Halušky and kapustnica 9/10
Jan V — Google review
Igor the owner was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were dated but very clean and with a lot of useful things you'd not expect. Only negative is the noisy trams outside. It was no issue with a late night and an early start, but I'd probably pay a bit more to ensure a good night's sleep. Bargain price at 32 Euros a night for single room.
Russell W — Google review
Got a double room at the price of a single, facing the inner yard. It was clean, quiet and comfortable and spacious enough, with the central heating more than satisfactory (and the possibility to arrange the heating in your own room). There is a fridge and hairdryer you can use,in the hostel corridor, with all you need for making tea,(tea bags etc.)too.(Kettle to boil water in the room). The owner was gentle and accepted a late check out with no extra cost. The surroundings of the hostel are good, with mini markets, shops, restaurants, plenty of cheap street food with late time options and pubs and 7-8 minutes walking distance to the old town.Easy access to the railway station by tram,in front of the hostel, and bus stop to the bus station,in a couple of minutes walking distance. In short, unbeatable price to quality ratio, especially if you get a room facing the yard, although I cannot really have an opinion about the rooms facing in front. And I would definitely stay here again,if I come back to Bratislava.

Friendly owner, accurate description. Old building, old furniture, clean room, at the city centre, affordable price. Single room facing the inner yard. It was quiet at night. It was +36 degrees outside but not extremely hot inside, it was ok especially with a fan.

The hostel is really amazing for solo or small group travellers. There is a high value of money and it is located in the city center of Bratislava, close to supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. Owner left us no access to our room. No cards in a box. I was left with small child in the middle of the night after a long flight stranded. No receptionist or clear instructions. Staff admitted of wrong booking our apartment. No refund. Truly terrible customer service. Hard beds. The only good thing is just the location. I won't be coming back horrendous customer service and no offer of a refund despite their fault. Beware travelers!!! PS: owner said I have recieved a better suited studio which is not TRUE I have gotten a room for 2 when we were 3. No bedding, duvet, sheets for extra person!!! Lies. Refund is due when service is not up to par. He is covering his a*s. Typical customer service you recieve in Slovakia just greed.

When we first came to the room, we were greeted with dirty towels, and in the bathroom there was a half used shower gel. When we wanted to take a shower, we noticed that the drain was clogged and the water wouldn’t go down. This issue was only fixed the next day. However, when we asked for new towels, the ones provided were also torn and dirty. The room did not meet any of the basic expectations

We stayed at the RUM room and for two nights it was okay. Friendly service. The room had enough space for two people. The bathroom was a bit smelly, the toilet lid did not stay up and smashed into our backs several times haha maybe get a new one. The mattress was not really comfortable but the bed sheets were all clean. The couch was super dirty idk what happened there. The best parts were the cat and it was close to the concert location we went to. Overall it's okay for a few nights but I would not book it for a longer stay.

The hotel was literally few minutes walk from the train station which is just great! I highly appreciate the contactless check-in. The rooms were nice, each called after different branch of alcohol - but I think the rooms definitely needed more cleaning... Right next Doors, you can find the best place for pancakes in Bratislava - Lacinka.

CAREFUL : BED BUGS! We stayed there for a whole week and only realized after a couple of days that we all have been bitten by bed bugs. The staff wasn't surprised at all about our discovery. Apparently it is "the visitors' fault because they sleep around in all sorts of other random hostels that have bed bugs and then bring them with them into their hostel. With that said, it wouldn't be worth (the money) fully getting rid of them, because the bed bugs will always come back anyways". It took a lot of arguing and convincing until we finally were allowed to switch rooms. We didn't get a refund or apology or anything. Worst customer service! On top of that I didn't get much sleep the whole week. It seemed like the other visitors were only young party people, who stayed up all night, partying, shouting and drinking. The walls are so thin that you can hear everything that's going on in the other rooms, bathrooms and at the reception. If you want a good amount of sleep or are a light sleeper, don't come here. Plus side: free WiFi, staff spoke English well, close to the train and bus station
TheLoNiEMuSiC — Google review
Check-in was easy enough, we could leave our luggage in our room until we could check in. The hostel is quite nice. There are no room numbers, instead the rooms are labeled "Wine room", "Jägermeister room", etc. The rooms are clean and spacious enough for the luggage. Additionaly, we've had out very own mini fridge. The kitchen is clean and good enough for cooking, there may not be all the tools and unfortunately there was no salt/pepper so we had to buy it, but fair enough. It gets the job done and also there is a dish washer which is nice. The best part about the hostel is the garden. It is superb to just sit down, chill, drink beer or eat. Not to forget about the two cats which are just adorable and want to be petted (and get fed). Now the only negative point I can bring up is the bsthroom. Note that we stayed in a room without private bathroom, so we shared one with another room. The thing is, it was clean. However, it only consists of a toilet, a shower and a sink. This means, if someone were to shower you were not able to go on the toilet, and it's the only one! For reasons I cannot understand, the shower has no door, which concludes to a kind of flooded bathroom. I also want to mention that more often than once, toilet paper was missing. About the location, I think it's good. Personally, we only stayed two nights and we just walked to the city center and castle. We're young so it wasn't a problem for us ;) But in and case, I think the hostel has a very good connection to public transport. All in all, I do recommend this hostel, it's very nice, expect the public bathroom for the points mentioned. For a perfect experience, I urge you to get a room with a private bathroom and you should be good to go!

This place is fabulous. The period details have been well considered, as has comfort. I could have just stayed in the hotel enjoying myself but I'm glad that I went out and explored this fabulous city. I LOVED the pillows on the bed. I was so comfortable and everything was so beautiful. The hotel employees were smiling, gracious, and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Indeed, while staying at the Marrol I felt like I was living in an earlier, more gracious era. Highly recommended.

Old world charm. Decorated with a historic and classical motif. Comfortable beds withors of pillows. Clean and art deco bathroom. Nice toiletries. Clean rain shower with good pressure and fluffy towels. The room was spacious for an older building. The gym requires an extra card from the front desk. The breakfast is Continental with lots of pastries, hot selections and cold items. Eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, croissants. Everything was delicious. What stood out here was the service. The bellman was so helpful and friendly. Really was the cherry on top. Nice option that is a short walk to the historical old town.

We stayed at Hotel Marrol's for 4 nights last month. Located at the edge of Bratislava old town and a short walk to the river embankment. We could not have asked for a better location. The interior of the hotel and our room were very cosy and comfortable. Our room was spacious. There is a TV which has BBC. There was a good spread for breakfast. The concierge was very helpful. We would certainly stay at this hotel again.

I stayed for a week at this hotel and I am happy to state thar it exceeded my expectations. I was given a single room which was spacious enough, bright and always clean. The historical building is well preserved and impressive. The Wi-Fi connection was working well. The breakfast buffet was nice and rich. The people working were experienced and polite. Lastly the location is ideal, near Danube and the old town.

Art Hostel Taurus is a charming and low-key hostel located in the heart of Bratislava, just a short distance from the castle and historic city center. Guests can enjoy free breakfast and have access to a communal kitchen for preparing meals. The hostel also offers live music events on its concert stage, creating a vibrant atmosphere where travelers can connect with each other.
This is a great Hostel 5 minutes walk from the Castle in the city center. Normal breakfast, natural coffee, which is important to me. The staff called me a taxi to the airport without any problems. I don't know what to say about the cons. Maybe the kids from the next room were a little noisy. And so everything is good, I liked it. At the reception I was told where you can eat inexpensively and tasty national Slovak cuisine. And still a rarity - the hostel had an air conditioner in the room. For example, in Prague there was only a fan in a 3-star hotel. I recommend this hostel!

Stayed in this hostel for 2 days in 2023 with my family and i still remember the coziness i felt while staying there. It was my first time visiting east europe (leave alone eastern europe, its actually my first time visiting europe to be honest haha) we kinda got lost on the way to the hostel and it was midnight but i think it was partly because the google maps directed us to the Svoradova street to then cross some street thats supposedly leads us to the hostel but turns out the road was blocked that we have no choice but to go back around while carrying heavy luggages. Fortunately we encountered two kind slovaks men (i guess) that spoke perfect english and helped us to show the actual way and even helped us with our luggage (to this day i feel very indebted to them thank you very much!!!). For someone who is carrying luggage it's actually kinda hard to reach the hostel as the road is very stoney (?) so the wheel of our luggage is kinda damaged by the end of the trip lol. i dont remember the service though, i dont remember meeting any of the staff or talking to them .. i think? My big sis did the booking so i dont really know what kinda hostel she booked for us but all in all the atmosphere is great. The room is clean and spacious and the bathroom is adequate, although its kinda dim. but for me it adds its own atmosphere to this stay lol. we have a perfect rest here and i have zero complaints about the quality.

The hostel rooms are really good, single bed with big lockers. The biggest problem in there for me is that, for me is important to have a kitchen, but there were only a microwave and there was not even a sink I'm there for the guests... Also the social areas could be improved, is not a place where you feel like hanging out for a while. I was only there for a night so I decided to choose because of the breakfast included, but I wouldn't stay there if I wanted to stay longer.

Nice location. There is a shop and a couple of great restaurants in the same street. Also, you can reach everything by walking since Bratislava is not that big of a city. The hostel itself is nice and cheap. Breakfast included bread, cereal and apples. There is a fridge for guests which is handy since food does not cost a lot at the shop right next to the hostel.

Nice hostel close to the city center of Bratislava. The rooms are really spacious and clean, the bathrooms as well. There is a nice "indoor yard" to get in contact with other people. Price includes breakfast and internet, both is satisfying. The hostel has a 24 hour reception, the staff is quite friendly.

This property is located on a quiet street right below the castle so there are some great views. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very warm, clean, and comfortable. Most reviews talk about the normal beds the hostel has, rather than bunk beds; these do exist, but we were given bunk beds. This was very disappointing since I booked specifically for normal beds.

What a lovely place! Great atmosphere and very close! The location was perfect and close to everything - main attractions, good restaurants and the city centre. The bedroom/bed was pretty comfortable although the room had no windows so it got really hot in the middle of the night. The bathroom, kitchen and main area was always tidy. And the staff was super friendly! I definitely recommend it!

Just stopped by Bratislava for one night between 11th and 12th. Had a chance to enjoy a few pints and conversation with the lady working there which was very pleasant. The city itself is quite beautiful and the location was great. Price was also very decent for a hostel of this quality. Been to far worse and been charged far more.

Schöndorf Hostel is a cozy and welcoming place to stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality really stood out and made the experience enjoyable. However, the rooms could have been a bit cleaner, as we noticed some dust, which was a minor drawback. Despite this, the overall atmosphere of the hostel was pleasant, and it’s clear they put effort into creating a comfortable environment. With a little more attention to cleanliness, this could easily be a 5-star experience. Still, I’d recommend it for the great service and friendly vibe. 😊

We stayed at the Schondorf Hostel in Bratislava as a group of 12, the hostel is in a great location. It helped massively that the room was accessible via a code so the group could come and go as they pleased. The rooms came with a towel which was handy. All the facilities were top of the range, 100% would recommend.

On my leaving, the code to open the laguaages compartiment didn't work as well, I almost lost my train waiting for the problem to be solved. Worst experience ever

Rooms and shared spaces were exceptionally clean, at the time of my accommodation there were not many people, so it was quiet and soundproofed from outside (I was in the building further away from road). Great value for price and you might meet new people from different countries as well.

The hotel is located on the main street of the old town, Michalska Brana. Because of this location it wins points! The room we stayed in was on the 3rd floor. It was large and comfortable! We were very happy! The staff and generally the entire service was excellent! The breakfast was nothing special without being bad. It is a good choice to stay!
Katerina S — Google review
We stayed one night only. Central and convenient location, which makes it also pretty noisy in the evening, since the window offers no sound protection. Even when it was closed we could hear all the noises from the street below. The room was big and cosy, nice beds, clean and comfortable. The lighting in the room was poor. No lamps at all that are lighting the room from the ceiling. Only reading lamps and one standing lamp. Besides this it was a great stay, just the window and the lights should be handled. The staff were kind and helpful.

What can I say about this hotel? This is beautiful Old Town boutique hotel. We were just one night in Bratislava, but that was cool... I want to say thank you administrator for the help provided for us. My best recommendation.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The attention to detail and hospitality shown by staff is top tier. I will definitely be stopping by again.

Room was clean enough, in a great location but it was noisy, but this is what you get from a good location. We were still able to sleep. There were not enough plug sockets but I appreciate you often get this in older buildings, and there needed to be more lighting. But overall very happy with our stay.

Nestled in the Stare Mesto district, Hostel Brickyard is housed in an elegant building and offers a laid-back atmosphere. The hostel provides dorm-style rooms with shared bathrooms, seating areas, and a sun terrace overlooking the garden. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a lobby bar/lounge, shared kitchen, and 24-hour front desk. Conveniently located near popular attractions like Michalska Tower and Bratislava Castle, the property also offers free Wi-Fi and private parking.
It was the very first time of mine in shared room and I met very nice people including the interesting Australian girl travelling across whole the Europe for two month. The hotel is incredibly well located. I love Štefánikova street which is beside. Everything is close. You don't need to use any public transport if you don't want. At night you can have a healthy walk from the city centre to the hostel. Despite the fact it was quite cheap it was really clean. I was looking for the place just to sleep and I really didn't miss anything in Brickyard hostel.

Pros: Beds are comfortable. Room and attached bathroom was clean. Lockers are decent sized (1.5 x 1.5 feet) Reception is open 24 hours. Staff are very nice (I forgot my adapter and the receptionist let me loan one free of charge during my stay). 2 minute walk from train station. 20 minute walk into town. 1 minute walk to bus stop that can take you to airport in 20 minutes. Foosball table. Cons: Place needs a bit of a light renovation, fresh coat of paint, replace some doors inside (ours had a big dent in it). Roads outside building aren't very busy at night so can be a bit risky walking back from town on your own.
Andrew S — Google review
Clean rooms. 4 flights of stairs and no lift. Bathroom in room 43 has no lock No curtains, incredibly bright mornings, which is nice unless you're trying to sleep. Decently equipped kitchen, but there's no oil/salt/foil
Chromatos — Google review
Good value for money, modern/clean, near the train station. Our beds weren’t made when we arrived, which is fine because sometimes other guests mess that up. But their solution was to move us into another room 2 flights of stairs up instead of remaking our beds in the original room, which was a pain.
Nick B — Google review
The Good: Great location, secure lockers, wifi, heating, friendly staff, luggage storage. The Bad: Most uncomfortable mattress EVER, one lumpy pillow, THE BOOKING PRICE IS NOT THE PRICE, you have to pay extra at the hostel. City tax + a deposit. Things you might find helpful: Make your own bed. No Towels. No toiletries. No elevator. No early check in. Check out is NOT flexible, it's 10am. Kitchen facilities available. 24 hour front desk.
Lucy R — Google review
The room fit six people, the lock boxes were very large and the bathroom was very clean. It is located quite centrally, needing only a short walk. Staff were excellent, giving recommendations for what to do or where to eat.
Luke M — Google review
Beautifully clean, warm and welcoming staff who are full of information for your stay in Bratislava. Cheap bar. Tidy rooms with en suite. Only thing with single on suite means a little queue for those in your room. I went as a party of 6 in a 6 person room so worked well. Nicely located for travel and tourism.

So far one of the nicest hostels I've seen in Bratislava, normal price, super nice and clean inside, has very spacious kitchen and a common eating, chillout area. Staff are helpful and unpretentious. Oh and nice mattresses. Definitely recommend

Zeitlos Boutique Hostel is a charming and unpretentious accommodation option located in the heart of the historical center. Housed in a historic 17th-century building, it offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and private bathrooms. Guests can also take advantage of amenities such as a washing machine, dryer, and an onsite bar and restaurant. The hostel's terrace provides stunning views of St.
Beautiful hostel at an amazing price, the shower, toilet and kitchen were very clean and well kept, rooms are spacious. Close to attractions, castle is literally up the hill and he church is across the road. bars and restaurants close by and on site. Bunk beds have curtains so can have privacy when wanted. Very quiet so if you wanted to sleep in you could do! Staff were polite and worked quickly.
Dan L — Google review
The hostel is located in Bratislava’s old city centre. Just 100 meters from the royal castle. I got my flight delayed and they kindly allowed me to get the keys from the nearby restaurant (which is located in the same building) and check-in the day after without any problems. My locker didn’t have the key attached to it, but the staff had been able to find the spare one (after several trial and error) quite soon. Overall, rooms look quite clean. I liked the spacious and wooden beds, they give originality to the place. There is also a small private living room between the rooms, which is quite a good place if you don’t want the crowd of the main living room downstairs. There is also a spacious kitchen and tea and coffee is offered each morning. Bathrooms were not as clean as the room though. Sometimes a bad smell was coming from inside, and getting a shower or washing hands simply became a bit difficult. The hostel is close to two restaurants and a pub, for a quick drink or meal. However, the nearest supermarket looks a bit farther, so be bear in mind that.
Antonio R — Google review
I really recommend this hostel! A bit far from the bus station, but you might be surprised how backpacker-friendly this hostel is. Clean room & shower room, big security locker with a ready-to-lock key, no deposite, very friendly and helpful staff. The unique castle is within 10-min walk and you can definitely start the lovely stay in Bratislava with it due to the superb location.
Kunio S — Google review
It’s a well located hostel, very near to the old town, SNP bus station and the castle with a good view towards Danube river . The hostel was very clean and well renovated, for each bed there is locker and around each bed there is a curtain to have more privacy and not be irritated by the light. Also the rooms are warm and have good blankets for cold weather of Bratislava.
Omid S — Google review
Great experience! The hostel was fresh, beds comfortable and with curtains. The location is perfect - right between the old city and the castle, with the UFO-bridge (with busses) nearby. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to Bratislava!

Great friendly staff. Rooms are really big, furniture ia new and there are 3 electricity points just above your bed to charge devices. Toilets are very big and clean. Location is maybe the best in Bratislava. I strongly recommend Zeitlos!

Spent one night at Zeitlos Botique Hostel, first of all they had a taxi lined up for that took me to the Hostel from the airport , great friendly driver a very modern a cozy car. The Hostel itself could not have been in a better location , located right under the Bratislava Castle with a beautiful view of the bridge and ufo tower from the terrace , the rooms were spotless and had curtains on each bed which was a great feature because that way I had my own privacy.

Austrian-owned and Slovakian managed, Vienna House Easy Bratislava is a comfortable budget hotel that's perfect for visitors looking for a convenient base in the heart of Bratislava. The hotel features unfussy rooms, a gym, restaurant and lobby bar, making it the perfect choice for travellers on a budget.
Was for business purposes. Good hotel, definitely not new, but service is very welcoming. Conference rooms are nice. Highway is very close but windows solve the issue.

I recently stayed at Vienna House Easy Bratislava, and overall, the experience was decent. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, including a kettle, but unfortunately, there were no tea or coffee supplies provided, which was a bit disappointing. The breakfast was average, with limited variety and quality that didn’t quite meet my expectations. However, I appreciated the bar near the reception, which served a good lunch. The staff was friendly and the location convenient, making it a reasonable choice for a short stay.

I will share my expererience with this hotel because I was so satisfied with all their services!! The hotel was clean and very stylish, you feel directly better by stepping in. Another veryyy important and gorgeous point is the team there!! All the workers giving their best to help you in every kind of situation. Thanks to the hotel manager and the stuff for making my stay so comfortable good !!

Awful stay. The hotel is stuck between two noisy highways. People were smoking on my floor all evening — my room reeked of tobacco until midnight. The A/C was broken on the entire floor, so they told me to change rooms on my last night. The best part of my stay was getting in my car and leaving this place.

I have stayed in this hotel several times and it was always a very positive experience. The staff are very nice and helpful, the rooms are clean, the housekeeping team did a great job—everything was spotless and well-maintained throughout my stay. Hi. When I arrived at the hotel, the reception staff welcomed me with warm smiles. Their kindness left a lasting impression on me. The hotel's exterior had a classic charm, and the lobby was spotless and elegant. I stayed in a suite, which had a stunning view of the square and the theater—truly breathtaking. All the furniture was clean and tastefully antique, adding to the overall experience. Everything was perfect. I’m sincerely grateful to the hotel staff for giving me such a wonderful memory. Thank you!

Spent three weeks at this hotel. Location was perfect, amenities were incredible. A lovely gym and spa that is very relaxing. Staff are really kind as well. The lobby is nice and spacious and offers working areas. Breakfast was good as well, a variety of options and you can order food as well which I liked. Room was very big and spacious! Only downer is the fact I think the rooms look a bit dated. But honestly no complaints here and would stay at this hotel again.

This is a gorgeous hotel with exquisite attention to detail. I felt extremely welcomed here, and the location can't be matched. I was so pleased with the human, down-to-earth approach of the staff, which really made all the difference. Would love to stay again when I'm next in Bratislava. Do stay here!

Great location and room overlooking the square. Room is very spacious and had lots of room to put away clothes. I have to call out Anita at check-in. She was one of the best, kindest and most empathetic human we have met. While she was checking us in, my husband had a coughing fit…she got water and snacks for us. She also took time explaining the city and attractions to us. Finally, because it was my husband’s birthday, she offered to send him cake. If this was our first introduction to this country and its beautiful people!

We had an amazing stay at the Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel in Bratislava. The location is excellent, right in the very heart of the city, just a few minutes’ walk from the Bratislava Castle, the Danube River, and the Old Town. It couldn’t be more convenient for exploring the city. The lobby feels luxurious and modern, giving a great first impression. Our room was clean, stylishly designed, and offered a fantastic view of downtown Bratislava, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We were also welcomed with lovely chocolate cakes and fresh fruits, a very thoughtful touch. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the wellness area, featuring a large and brand-new jacuzzi, a relaxing dry sauna, and a steam room. The gym was also well-equipped and perfect for a quick workout. Although the hotel is rated as four stars, it truly feels more like a five-star experience in terms of comfort, service, and facilities. Overall, we highly recommend the Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel when visiting Bratislava. Excellent location, outstanding amenities, and great value for money.

Had an excellent stay. Was able to get an early check in. The terrace in the room was great. The staff were very attentive and brought fresh fruit to the room. The spa which was included was so nice, I’d consider coming to the hotel again just to use it. The gym looked great, but didn’t have time to try it.

I liked everything! The hotel is in a very convenient location for exploring the city: between the fortress on top and the old town center on the bottom. The staff is very friendly. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. 💭For those who know this hotel brand: everything was up to standard. 💭For those who don't know this hotel brand: it's a reasonably priced hotel, but I would consider it as a level “comfort”. You pay a competitive price with no high expectations and receive a quality service with no disappointments. 🙂

All around ok. Staff was fine. Rooms were just ok for the price. My shower clogged up, the aircon doesn’t work too cold which is a problem because keeping the window open you hear the train roll by every 30 minutes. I’m not offended by my stay, but it was just ok. I’m a folding bicycle tourist but from what I could see, probably not the best for a regular bicycle tourist.
Caleb H — Google review
I enjoyed my stay here! This was a special stay because 22 years ago, my grandfather was the first guest to check in at this then-brand-new (just opened) hotel, so I chose to stay here in his honor and memory. Friendly staff, comfortable room, and phenomenal location just steps from Old Town and the castle. The only issue is that it was quite warm out during my stay and the room was uncomfortably warm, and even though the hotel advertises AC, it had been shut off for the season, which is frustratingly common in Europe (I don't know how, but American hotels are able to make AC and heat both work year-round, but European hotels only seem able to choose one or the other). I do not sleep well under heavy European duvets in a warm room, and I could not get the room cool enough to be comfortable my first night. My second night, I did discover that the window could be unlocked with a key from the front desk, which allowed me to open it fully and get the room to a comfortable temperature, and I slept very well my second night.
Chris L — Google review
I enjoyed my stay here. The location was fantastic and the breakfast had plenty of options. My only negative was that the room was very warm even with air conditioning on, although this could have been remedied if I had considered to open the window.
H B — Google review
We stayed here recently for one night (1-November) and it was a decent hotel, and a good value. The hotel was a little older and worn, but our room was clean, and the breakfast was very good. The location is excellent, just steps from the major tours sites of Old Town Bratislava. My only complaint is the room was warm and we couldn't control the heat.
Evan W — Google review
I stayed in 3 Ibis hotels in a row in different cities and this was by far my least favorite. The hotel and rooms are very old and dated. There are only 3 outlets in the room to charge devices with one being on the floor next to the door. The room was very warm and the AC didn’t work. The bathroom was a little grimy. The location is solid and just a 10 minute walk to the old city and right near the landmark bridge. But if I return to Bratislava I will find another hotel

Reception was on point, room was spacious, location is just perfect for someone who visits Bratislava by car. A single complaint: bathroom needs thorough cleaning, wasn't the most welcoming experience ☝️ Other than that highly recommended

The worst place to stay for all the time. Responsible staff is the only plus. Location isn't bad. Our room had price about 40 euro per night, it's worst price-quality we had. It's totally far away from the photos here to the bad direction and looks very similar as old hospitals in USSR (even smells so). Room was not so clean. Kitchen wasn't clean (dishes also). Common showers (and doors to them) were in terrible condition. We had stained bedding. I said about it to staff and it was changed on the same dirty one. We hadn't towels by default, but I got old one after asking about it. Noise level is catastrophic! You cannot sleep with open windows. With closed window also cannot because of noise from the corridor. It sounds like you don't have door at all. All the doors and the floor creak a lot. People start to wake up about 6-7 a.m. and you will wake up with their steps (can be sure). Also you will listen all disscussions from other rooms, independently whether you want it or not. One more funny thing is about lamp cables and sockets. If you want to have lamp switched-on then you will have cable on your bed, otherwise cable is too short. I add photos to confirm my words about it...
Anton — Google review
Baddest Hostel I've ever been to. Don't trust the pictures in Google, in real life its dirty, bit smelly, u don't wanna touch anything because you are afraid to get sick because of that. The receptionists were all nice and friendly but the rest was totally not worth the price. It's okay for one night but u don't want to spend more time than necessary in the hostel. The cleaning staff only spoke slovakian and did the beds while I was in there, I didnt like that too but she didn't understand.. However.

What you pay for what you get is good. This hostel has everything a hostel should have. A kitchen with everything you need, a bathroom with showers on every floor. Rooms that are big enough. Reception is friendly, you get free thee/coffee and there is a small chill room on the hround floor. Our room and the showers weren't very clean, this should be better. Location is great, it is just around the cornor of the trainstation. 25 min walk from the city centre and close by a bus station to take you to the airport.
Tom V — Google review
I don't know how to start... Photos and reality are diametrally different. It looks like from comunism 30 year ago, but what is the worst this place is not clean. We had matracess with spot from pee, fridge was disgusting dirty. Shared bathroom is for men and woman together, only restrooms are separated, but nobody cares and use both. Besides that you can't sleep at night, there si so much loud from - doors, shower, somebody washed his dishes around 3 am. I've never been at as worst place as this. Attached photo is from hall before entering rooms. Personal was kind and nice, this is only one positive about this place. We had incredibly bad experiences, highly DO NOT recommend!
Lucia K — Google review
I arrived around 3am and was a bit worried if there would be someone to check me in, but this was no issue as I haven't waited at all. Check-out was 10am, on which would give us just a few hours to sleep, so they were nice enough to give us an extra hour and check out at 11am! I've stayed in a bedroom that I quite liked. It was spacious, bright, and considering the price I've paid, it was good enough. The bathroom and bedroom were very clean. Bratislava is a small city in general, I did everything by foot, but I guess location is good enough. But definitely not a good choice if you're a light sleeper. The area is loud, with garbage trucks coming very early in the morning, the cleaning ladies talking loudly and smashing doors shut. I don't remember choosing a smoke-free room or if there was even such an option, but my room and parts of the building definitely smelled like cigarettes, another down point for me.
Édio S — Google review
There is not really anything I liked. I guess it was the worst hostel I have ever been to. Dirty, smelly bed, disgusting floor with chewing gum and hair, no towels at all. I found some long blonde hair in the bedsheets and my fiance was complaining about bedsheets smelling like sweat. 😰 You could tell the bedsheets weren't washed just by looking at it, it was discolored. For seven rooms (minimum 2 people for one room) there was 2 toilets and two showers with only hanging curtains. The bathroom was dirty, really moldy and only liquid hand soap was available.
Zoltan T — Google review
What you pay for is what you get overall. I would.mention and suggest to the managment to clean the bed sheets more regulary, pay attention to the hygiene of the toilets in order to leave better impression for guests. The showers have weird setup since there is almost no privacy when taking a shower and sneone else wants to use the toilet. Location is great on the ither hand and staff is kind and helpfull.

Art Hotel William is a polished hotel located in the heart of Bratislava, just steps away from Johann Nepomuk Hummel Museum and Primate's Palace. The hotel offers unfussy rooms and suites, a fitness room, and a lounge with complimentary coffee. Its location within a shopping center provides easy access to landmarks such as the Old Town Hall and St Martins Cathedral.
Very nice location. Old Town. 4-5min walk to Chistmas Market. No parking at the hotel, but for 21euros/day (you validate the parking ticket at hotel and you can also pay there) there is Opera parking, very close to the hotel (3-5 min walk). It was clean and quiet even at the fifth floor. There is an elevator. The security is high! You open the door only by acces card and the elevator works the same. We didn't have breakfast, but coffee was free so for us the coffee was enough. At the ground foor there is a good restaurant and some shops. The room was big enough, the bed was big and confortable. The bathroom is very nice. Every day the room was cleaned and the towels were changed.

I’ve stayed for a night in there. There were hairs in my bed and on my pillow belonging to several other people. Grey hair, curly blonde, dark hair… Terrible experience in terms of cleaning. On the other hand locations is great, if you don’t mind the cleanness.

Good hotel. You walk through a sort of office/shopping centre to get to the hotel on the upper floors, and the reception looks like one of the shops. But once you’re in your floor, it’s really nice, clean good quality carpets everywhere and the rooms are v good quality for the price. Comfortable beds, pillows to dive into. AC a bit rattly but not enough to stop you sleeping. Recommended.

Great friendly staff, hotel is laid out in a shopping mall with no on site parking. Parking is 400 meters away. Hotel is bang right in the middle of old town.

Perfect localization. Having a hotel located in the gallery was unexpected and interesting. Breakfast unbelievable low standard like in the poor hostels even worst. Despite the high price. Good to stay but never take the breakfast. In same price you would find better hotels.

Perfect hotel in its price range. The location is what is great - but if you come with a car, you will have trouble accessing it, parking or off-loading as the entrance is in a pedestrian zone - on the other hand PEDESTRIAN ZONE! :) close to all bars and pubs. Quality wise it is probalby on a level of a Ramada or Holiday Inn. Very weird checkin-counter but the rooms are nice. If you want to spend less than 80 bucks for a hotel room in Bratislava and getting the best value - this is your hotel.

Hotel Arcus is a cozy, family-run bed and breakfast located conveniently close to Bratislava's main attractions. The hotel offers spacious rooms, a sunny garden, and a terrace for guests to enjoy. While the rooms are simple and clean, some may find them lacking in air conditioning. The hotel's friendly staff and complimentary breakfast add to its charm. Its proximity to the city center and train station make it an ideal choice for travelers looking for convenience.
My favourite type of hotel. Local, small, friendly and comfortable. This is a Lonely Planet recommendation and I can see why. I had a lovely single room with a super comfy bed and a beautiful balcony. Wifi and hot water worked perfectly. There is a mini-fridge and a kettle. The fan helped keep it cool (although AC would be a great addition)! The breakfast choices were varied and plentiful…I didn’t really need lunch. The garden is a peaceful and relaxing space and there are also shared common areas. I appreciated being able to hang out in the garden after check-out as my boat didn’t leave until mid afternoon. I walked from both the bus and train station to the hotel and to everywhere I wanted to visit in Bratislava. Highly recommended.

Best value for money in Bratislava. Staff are friendly, rooms are immaculate and location is perfect. Garden has a real homely feel and breakfast is delicious. You can walk to the river, to the shops, park or restaurant or pay $4 euro to go to the town. Highly recommended.

Very spacious room, nice building, cozy garden and a good breakfast. Also, very friendly staff.

Very charming hotel staffed with lovely, attentive and service-minded staff. Good location with easy access to downtown Bratislava. No air conditioning in the rooms, but fan and an open window lower the temp enough to sleep comfortably.
Maja L — Google review
Lovely hotel in a very old building with wonderful features, lovely garden to take breakfast in, very friendly helpful staff and a short walk from tram stops or a pleasant stroll into the old town. Highly recommended., no aircon so rooms are quite warm in summer.
Peter W — Google review
A great advantage is that the hotel is clean and quite close to the old city (15-18 walking to the Old Market), 20 min walking to Train Station. Garden is nice and worth of spending time there. It is a good place of cooling down. The personnel staff is friendly. Breakfast after few days starts being boring - I can understand that the owners are doing their best of not wasting food, but eggs or sweets every day may destroy every stomach. Overall I recommend, but advise to improve breakfast!

I feel bad giving 3 stars because they technically did nothing wrong. The staff was very friendly and the gym looked excellent (though, we didn't use it). But I would not stay here if you're elderly, disabled, or pregnant. The bathtub is super high up and it was scary getting out of it for fear of slipping. There's also no door on the bathtub and you have to hold the shower head up -- so one of your hands is always occupied as you stand at a strange angle (to not splash water on the floor). So it always felt very precarious. The tub also faces a full length mirror, so you shower looking directly at yourself..... The bed also isn't comfortable and it's very low. The pillows are those large square ones that flatten to the volume of a finger and offer zero support. I laid on top of the comforter to provide some softness to the mattress and was still uncomfortable. The curtains cover the entire window but are super thin. So lights from the street came in and the sun always woke me up early. However, I didn't hear street traffic much, despite the location. The AC worked well at least. Breakfast is from 7-9 and only cold breakfast -- so that was disappointing and a surprise. The elevator stopped working when we went to checkout, so my husband had to carry two suitcases down (since I'm pregnant). Not the hotel's fault, but they share a building with an apartment complex, so who knows how often this happens or takes to be fixed. This hotel clearly started as a gym and then they purchased 4 apartments upstairs and remodeled them into 8 hotel rooms in total. So their specialty isn't being a hotelier. We thought we were getting a deal but we got what we paid for. We wish we'd spent just a tiny bit more for a hotel that was probably better quality and also already in the city center.

Excellent accommodation, one of the few that includes excellent parking in the price. It is located in the immediate vicinity of public transportation and not far from the city center. Also included in the price is the consumption of hot drinks and a perfectly correct breakfast.

The best apartments next to train station Bratislava Petržalka! Very friendly reception, the staff is here for all your wishes! Minibar is included, got a lunch box for the day because of early checkout. I'm sure the breakfast is great! The rooms are big, modern, beautiful with style! I like the look and you have a tube in the bathroom. Fridge and air condition in the room! Balcony to the busy road, but you don't hear any noise when windows are closed, perfect! I will stay here whenever I visit Bratislava for business or leisure, thank you! Yours Michael (Room 304).

I can assure one thing, this place has an amazing customer care, from welcome free drinks to a friendly customer service, this accomdation is my favorite. Providing a parking place and an awesome access to public transport (1min walk to bus station, 3min to train station) you should not even think twice to book. Sure you would say, between a main street and train, it must be loud. Well it is not the case once the windows are closed. I will come back if the chance present itself again.

Excellent hotel with extra friendly staff. Good breakfast. The possibility of using the buffet (fruit, coffee, tea...) all night. Even if it is not in the very center of the old town (approx. 2 km), there is a bus stop right across the door of the hotel, and buses to the center run non-stop. If you are too lazy to walk, this way you are in the center in a few minutes

Guests appreciate the fantastic rooms, well-equipped kitchen, and exceptional hospitality. Some visitors had positive experiences with respectful roommates and secure lockers but noted occasional issues with other guests' behavior.
best hostel i've stayed in! upon arrival, the receptionist asked us if we would prefer to stay in a female dorm, rather than a mixed dorm. we gladly accepted this. everything was explained to us clearly! the location is perfect, right in the center and everything is walking distance. the showers and toilets are very clean and spacious. it felt super safe! the kitchen is amazing too, and there are big common rooms and even a terrace! definitely stay here if you're traveling to bratislava, I know I'll be back :)

Besides the firealarm going off multiple times every night, the hostel was good. Every floor has a shower&toilet room, showers are great, but on the 4th floor it sometimes reeks a bit. Although it looked clean! The rooms are big, lots of space to move around. Lockers are not that big, and they have locks with a key.

Cleaner was very aggressive and loud, she got annoyed and shouted at us that the bathroom floor was slightly wet after we’d showered. Receptionists are very nice but they get rid of their cleaner. Not a nice person and provides horrible customer service, she began insulting us in Slovakian. Some of the top bunks have no railings which is extremely dangerous.

Terrible, the beds were unmade and dirty. The service was rude, and half the kitchen equipment didn't work. Moreover, when we left they charged us and additional fee because another group of spanish had a party, so they carged 10 euros to all spanish in the hostel.

Worst experience of my life, two nights and me and my squad had to sleep in differemt rooms because they didnt have any free full rooms like they said on booking, a bunch of sketchy people that you have to sleep with and they are charging way too much for that, the recpetion is also not very nice and they get annoyed when you have a problem that is their fault. Pretty cool place. Received instructions about how to enter the premises. Seemed a bit complicated at first, but in reality that wasn't the case at all. I had problem leaving though, as I couldn't find the button which was supposed to open the metal bar gate leading to the courtyard. Called the number that opens the gate automatically and the gate did open immediately (you just have to dial, you don't need to speak to anyone). The room (Mona Lisa) was very much to my liking. Relatively spacious, big bed, although a bit low to my liking, but that's just a small detail. Bathtub is in the same room, in the corner. It gives the room an interesting vibe and style. I liked it. Overall, pleasant experience I really liked it. No noise in during the night, slept very well. The pigeons were noisy in the morning, however. (even though my windows were closed).
Living C — Google review
Arrived at around 7pm, managed to get upstairs, looked into our key box for our room and found no key! Rang every number available on the website, Google booking.com. Number either didn't exist or no response. Waited outside our room until 10pm and bumped into 2 people who happened to be staying in our room. Turns out the key to their room was missing and the owner had given them our key. Im sure this place is fine if everything goes to plan, but it is not worth the risk. Avoid this place! You may get locked outside, need something in an emergency, not have the key in your lockbox. And you will get no support or a refund. I cannot stress this enough. Do not risk staying here
William B — Google review
There is no guarantee that you will be able to enter or leave the building freely. The front door and the gate in front of it can only be opened via telephone, both of which are automatically buzzed open. You do not receive a real key at check-in. So if one of the neighbors locks the front door/gate, you can't get in or out. This is exactly what happened to me: I wanted to leave the house early morning to catch a flight. However, the front door was locked, so I was locked in. I couldn't reach the owner or neighbors because it was very early in the morning. After two hours I finally called the police, with their help I was finally able to reach a neighbor who unlocked the front door. In total, I was locked up against my will for 2.5 hours. I also missed my flight and had to book a new flight at short notice. I didn't hear anything from the owner later, let alone an apology or compensation. In addition, the front door is designated as an emergency exit. In the event of a fire, there would be no way to leave the house. This accommodation can therefore become a death trap.
Andreas S — Google review
We booked the room a month in advance, but once we got there we were told they were overbooked and we would have to sleep in another dirty room with a terrible shared bathroom. Only thanks to Booking were we able to get a refund. Do not book, you risk bad surprises.

We came to this place at 20:00, owner of this place send us code for key box, but the code was wrong and we couldn't get the key to our room. We tried reach owner for 40-50 minutes by phone and booking app and got no answer, we managed to guess box code in an hour and even after 3 days of living there the owner of this place didn't call us back or answered in booking app. In the room towels had holes, sink was rusty and was leaking, tv not working. Over all room was clean and nice. Can't recommend this place because of communication of owner.
Modestas G — Google review
Everything was very pleasant, clean and comfortable. I was very well looked after. Very well located close to all the tourist attractions, bus stops and restaurants.
Fernando M — Google review
Rooms are very small, had no space to open luggage other than on bed. There is about a foot of space between the bed and wall, which is the walkway to the bathroom. Having AC was nice, but there was no sort of filter on the unit and when people would be smoking downstairs the AC unit would bring all that smoke in. Sometimes it brought in the smell of food which was nice, but the rubbish and smoke smells weren’t great.

Perched on a hilltop in Bratislava, Slovakia, the iconic Bratislava Castle is a reconstructed Baroque fortress with roots dating back to 907 A.D. This national museum offers visitors a glimpse into the city's intriguing history and serves as a prominent landmark dominating the capital's skyline.
What a lovely place, perched up over the city as castles often are, providing great views across the city and river Danube. Free entry to gardens around the castle and well worth a visit. There is more than one entrance and exit to the castle, but the main entrance at the top of the steep hill has the nicest entrance with a lovely gateway entrance. There is a red bus that takes you up and down the hill, l didn't use it so unsure of the cost, but worth knowing if you are not great with steep climbs.
Claire W — Google review
The outside of the castle def has way more to offer than the inside. The location is beautiful, perched on a hill with views of the Danube River. We enjoyed strolling through the gardens and came across three sculptures that added some character to the otherwise plain castle. They also had an old themed fair going on in the castle grounds, which was more entertaining than the insides.
Rin S — Google review
Cool palace, museum, but a bit ponderous as museums go. You have to kind of find your way up and down the stairs and to the various exhibit rooms by trial and error. For me the most interesting exhibits was the 3rd floor (I think that's right) wing with rooms showing archaeological findings from Neolithic/Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman, Byzantine, Baroque to 19th century. Amazing stuff on view.
Joe B — Google review
Perched on a hill overlooking the Danube, this white fortress offers the best panoramic views in the city. The museum inside is skippable unless you’re into Slovak political history - the real attraction is the gardens and views from the terrace. Sunset here is spectacular. Tip: Visit in the late afternoon and walk down via the old stone steps into the Old Town for dinner.

The Bratislava Castle is such a wonderful sight to see! While the castle itself may not be as grand as some of the others in Europe, it stands out for its sturdy, well-maintained structure and timeless charm. From the grounds, you get a lovely panoramic view of the town and the lush greenery surrounding the area. It was such a great experience visiting this historic site and learning more about the rich history of the city and its people. Truly a must-see when in Bratislava! 🏰✨

You can walk, or take a little tram up the hill to visit the castle. The views are breathtaking, you can see for miles and miles away, if the weather favors your visit. The castle it self is beautiful, there is a café within as well as a souvenir shop. If you find yourself in Bratislava, then Bratislava castle must be on your attraction list.
Vaclav A — Google review
The castle has great outsides and looks that has been maintained very well. Great to go walking or just outside coffee. The inside exhibitions at least from mi pov are very minimalistic. The Blue Church, also known as the Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, is a striking baby-blue church designed in the art nouveau style in the early 1900s. Its unique blue-colored exterior and otherworldly architectural style make it one of the most unique churches to visit. The design is reminiscent of the popular Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona, but with a blue hue. Visitors can marvel at its architecture and enjoy free entry during designated times every day except Sundays.
Bratislava- Slovakia 🇸🇰 The Blue Church – officially known as the Church of St. Elizabeth – is one of the most iconic landmarks in Bratislava, Slovakia.😇♥️ Situated in the Old Town, about 10 minutes’ walk from the city center Sky blue façade, mosaics, and roof tiles — hence the nickname “The Blue Church” Oval church nave with a cylindrical tower. Decorated with white and blue majolica tiles. Interior is equally blue-themed, with painted pews, walls, and ceilings. Contains an image of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, to whom it is dedicated. Don’t miss this Holy place and architectural marvel if you’re around Bratislava 🫶🏻♥️

This church is so cute. The blue against the afternoon sky was a great to see. The church opens at 5.30 to 7pm but I was lucky there was a wedding going on so I was able to see the inside before it officially opened. But its definitely worth the visit.
Mandy J — Google review
I visited the Blue Church in Bratislava, and it truly feels like a fairytale building—almost like a big, beautifully decorated cake. The pastel blue color and unique Art Nouveau style make it stand out from anything else in the city. I was lucky enough to watch a music show inside, and the atmosphere was magical. The interior matched the charm of the outside, and the acoustics made the performance even more special. It’s not a big church, so you don’t need too much time to explore, but it’s definitely worth a visit for its one-of-a-kind design and peaceful vibe.

This is the icon of Bratislava. One of the churches with the most beautiful architecture. If you don't visit it, it's like you haven't been to Bratislava. I visited it three times, but I only found it open the third time. It has strange opening hours. A fascinating building, with beautiful blue architecture, that beckons you and will entice you to visit it. It's not very far from the center. All three times I visited, there were tourists taking pictures of it from the outside. It operates from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. and from 17:30 to 19:00 p.m.

Very unique looking church which was one of a kind. Not really in the most exciting part of the town but would recommend visiting during broad daylight by car. The inside of the church was closed but you could still look inside. Everything was very baby blue which I have never seen before. Definitely a must visit in Bratislava.

The Roset Hotel & Residence surpassed our expectations. We booked an executive suite which on the website shows a beautiful spacious room with 4 ceiling high windows, lovely. On arrival we were shown to our room which had an internal seating area (with internal netted window onto the corridor) which led onto a ‘standard size’ sleeping area which the 2 windows. Very different to the deluxe room photo. The receptionist kindly upgraded us to a a corner, deluxe suite, which happened to be available as the hotel was only 60% full. Otherwise this would have been a 2 star rating. The receptionist said only one executive suite looked like the photo, the others all had the internal sitting area. This is not an acceptable way to advertise your rooms. Note to management; always good to under promise and over deliver, not the other way around! But staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fantastic. Great location, there was a rumbling of trams but we slept well and everything was in walking distance.

The location is great. The staff is more than friendly. The breakfast is a bit below average considering food selection but overall ok. They gave us room without balcony even though we asked for a room with balcony. The problem was solved the next day but we expected that this mistake would be somehow compensated which did not happen. And the balcony is very small. The room (suite) it self was beautiful.

Located just 9 km from the city center, it boasts modern transport infrastructure and a customer-oriented environment for passengers. Travel to the city center is convenient with a 20-minute drive or a bus ride to Hlavna stanica (the main train station) followed by a 15-minute walk.

Small , efficient and clean . It's easy to get to the airport by taking the bus in whatever location you are in the city . You can pay with your card on the bus or by using cash and you'll get to the airport.
Travellingaround — Google review
I have never seen so stupid organization at airport before. There are plenty of seats available, but there is no one to open them for the people. Meanwhile a handicapped man did dot have a seat to use!!! I have spoken with the people from the airport shop, but they said this is normal and the additional area is open to passengers right before flight! So stupid - why they have places which cannot be used?
Стефан В — Google review
Good and quick taxi ride from the city. The airport is very small but efficient. Security normally super smooth with new scanners — no need to take out liquids or electronics. A couple of bars/coffee places and some duty-free shops inside. There’s also a smoking area after passport control if you’re flying outside the Schengen area. Small play area for kids there too and news kiosk. Nice and easy overall.
Michal K — Google review
It's small but it's good. A few years ago there was a big reconstruction and it helped a lot. Without that is the biggest airport in Slovakia just a sad place. Fortunately, now it looks decent according to the amount of daily departures or arrivals. So be humble and don't compare it with the airport of Doha 😁
Ales T — Google review
Small airport that has all the basics. Staff is nice. I wouldn't recommend it on busy season as it probably can't handle that many people, but overall is easy to get there.

Hotel Viktor is an unassuming yet well-known 3-star hotel located in the Petrzalka district, just a short distance from Bratislava's city center. It also features meeting rooms, a restaurant/bar, free parking including outdoor spaces and garage access with room cards. The St.
I've seen many reviews with people complaining about canceled reservations, but my experience was fine. We booked a room for one night through Booking.com, and everything went smoothly. My request to check in around 9:00 PM was accepted immediately. When we arrived, a lady at the reception asked me to pay for the stay and gave me the cards. I could then drive into the big, spacious underground parking lot. Our room was clean and fulfilled its purpose for a one-night stay in Bratislava. The only issue was that some of the lightbulbs in the bathroom were burned out, which made it dark in the shower. Aside from that, it was a good stay.

Good hotel, within 25-30 minutes walking to the city centre and the old town. Very clean, spacious, modern, quiet, supplied with air conditioning. On the downside: 1. No tea/coffee making facilities. 2. Only Slovak television channels available.
Iryna R — Google review
No facilities for food or drinks. Nothing around for food or any shops. 10am checkout 20e until 1pm late checkout which I told I would like . 11 am wo.an at door telling me to get out the room immediately or would call the police. I told her I had requested late check out she screamed out now. Avoid there's better and friendlier. The night staff was nice. The old woman wasn't. It's a taxi ride from anywhere do yourself a big favour go to your next choice. Bratislava old town is wonderful

Our experience at the hotel was unfortunately very disappointing we had to leave the hotel 1 day before our check out: -There was no mini fridge in the room. When we asked at the reception if we could at least store our water somewhere cool, the request was immediately declined. -The bathroom was full of mold and smelled just as unpleasant as you would expect. -The entire room had a bad smell and also the corridor had a bad smell because of the dogs which stayed at the hotel. -When we removed the sheet from the duvet, we noticed that the duvet itself was also dirty and black (looked like mold). -During out stay, the cleaning staff only changed the towels. Neither the bathroom nor the room was cleaned and the bed was never changed. It was the worst and the most dirtiest hotel I haver stayed. I dont recommend it to anyone.
Hamza M — Google review
Hotel overall looks fine and the reception staff were helpful. But avoid room 25 - bad acoustics means you can hear everyone coming and going. It is located in the passage where all the corridors meet. Can’t say we had a good night’s sleep.
Tyla A — Google review
We booked a room on Booking after a long 14-hours drive to rest before we continue. The room was decent, loved the shower but there was no fan inside which meant that it made the main room damp and when we closed the door it smelled like crap in the morning. No extra blankets or towels. There were unnecessarily complicated instructions for the air con which we followed carefully but in the end did not work and when we called reception to ask for someone to come look at it the guy was super rude, said he has other people at the desk, he will call me back and hung up. He never called nor addressed the issue. It was late, we were exhausted so we went to bed in the cold. The room was not very well isolated from noise as we were near the road and people in adjacent rooms were quite noisy. It was okay for our purposes as was on our driving route (hence convenient for us) but overall not great.
Toni T — Google review
Utterly unprofessional. Daylight robbery. We had a reservation for 5 persons, 70euros per room. On the day of arrival, owner did not want to accomodate clients ans they asked for 100euros per room. If you do not want your money to be stolen, do not give this userer your money or do a reservation here. Not to mention mold in the rooms that others have reported. You will have a better time sleeping under a UFO bridge than to give your time and effort to this dump. 0/5 service. Arrogant owner who WILL steal from you if she has a chance.
Jasmin B — Google review
The following happened today: At 5 minutes to 10, we took the elevator from our floor to the underground parking garage to put our bags on the bicycles parked there. At 2 minutes past 10 a.m. (check-out is at 10 a.m.), we were unable to leave the underground car park: no access to the stairwell, no opening of the garage door, no elevator to the reception on the ground floor. It took 20 minutes before our loud knocking on the stairwell doors was heard and we were freed. What happens in this garage in the event of an emergency? It becomes a deadly trap. Be careful.

The hotel did quite a few mock-ups during our short weekend stay. It felt like they are not well trained there, messing up things pre-agreed. I am disappointed with the services but the interior is nice and the staff was friendly, no doubt.

A true highlight of this stay was the exceptionally nice staff. The meals in the restaurant were really good, too. I also liked the ease of access, large parking lot, the colors on the building and in the rooms, the bar and the rather comfortable beds. On the other hand I was quite unhappy with the shower that often changes temperature and the not-working soap dispenser in the bathroom. The hotel is equipped with conference facilities, too, and these are OK. Overall, a nice stay.

Very small parking which was full all the time and I was forced to park nearby what can result with traffic regulations penalty fee. Rooms can be bigger and TV is obsolete compared with today's standards in other hotels and apartments.

The hotel boasts an urban and hip ambiance with literary touches like bookshelves and typewriters.
This is now one of my favourite hotels I've stayed at! Staff were nice and friendly and breakfast delicious and with a very good selection of foods. However, the best thing? The room! Decor could not be better - it was right to my taste. It was also huge, spotless, and had an incredibly comfortable bed. I will definitely book again if I come back to Bratislava (in fact, I'd visit Bratisvala just to stay here again for a couple of nights). Incredible value for money!

LOFT Hotel Bratislava is a great place to stay – stylish design with lots of character. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the old town. Breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of options. Our room was clean, quiet, and very cozy. A cool bonus is the hotel’s own brewery – definitely worth a try! Overall, a fantastic stay. We’d definitely come back!

I stayed at the Loft Hotel during a weekend in early September. My impressions are all positive, and it’s a hotel I will definitely return to as soon as I get the chance. The location is excellent, just about a 5-minute walk from the historic center, in a quiet and pleasant area where no noise can be heard. Check-in was quick. My room was lovely and, most importantly, very clean, equipped with all the necessary comforts. Breakfast was varied and plentiful — perhaps not exceptional in terms of quality, but perfectly acceptable. All things considered, I’m more than satisfied with my stay. I’d like to especially thank Eva, who handled my check-in impeccably, showing exceptional kindness and empathy. Thanks again, and I hope to be back soon!

We stayed at The LOFT Hotel Bratislava and absolutely loved every minute of it. The location is perfect – just a short walk from the city center, yet tucked away in a quiet and peaceful area where you can really relax after a day of exploring. The rooms are beautifully designed, cozy, and extremely comfortable, with a warm, charming atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. Every detail – from the furniture to the lighting – adds to the hotel’s unique character and boutique feel. Breakfast was outstanding! A rich and varied buffet with everything you could wish for – fresh fruit, local specialties, great coffee, and plenty of delicious options beautifully presented. It’s the kind of breakfast you actually look forward to waking up for. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Overall, this hotel truly stands out for its combination of style, comfort, and atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bratislava who’s looking for something special rather than just another hotel.

The hotel's location is very close to the center of the old town, making it convenient for exploring Bratislava. Although it is a 2-star hotel in need of renovation, it provides all the essentials for a budget stay.
Really nice and cozy pension, 2 mins by walking to the main square. Room was clean and got all the necesities like towels, hair drier, cold fan, soap and shampoo. Really appreciated staying. Breakfast at Petit cafe was super, with a lot of different choices. Even if the hotel was in the city centre, it was super easy to get a nap and sleeping. Important thing for summer travelers, they got real currains that avoid early morning light to get into the room!

+ The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and it had a balcony with a great view of the city and even the castle. In the room, there was an electric kettle for coffee and tea. - However, we stayed on the 6th floor and had to use the elevator, which was too small and outdated. At that time, there was a renovation in some parts of the hotel, and it was noisy during the day.
Sara G — Google review
Great spot for solo travelers. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is located very close to the Old Town, and you can walk pretty much everywhere. I appreciated the amenities, especially the electric kettle, tea and coffee. The only downside is that the walls are VERY thin and my neighbors were loud on my first night there. Maybe consider bringing along some ear plugs.

pros - good location, reasonably clean, reception desk answered qns promptly, breakfast was ok, quiet at night cons - mattress was terrible and hurt my back - it was a converted sofa bed rather than a proper bed.

The receptionists are friendly, but the room is kinda youth hostel. Definitely not a hotel that I would revisit. €55 a night without breakfast in low season. Late check out is €10 per hour (max 2 hours) from 11 onwards.

Cosy rooms close to the city center. Kind staff. 0-24 parking, be careful!

I reserved 2 triple rooms for two families (2 adults & 1 child + 2 adult & 1 child). Unfortunately, I made a small mistake and "booked" these 2 triple rooms, for 2 adults and 1 child. And for this mistake, I was charged extra. But who in their right mind would book 2 triple rooms for only 2 adults and 1 child. The hotel staff should've logically known that the reservation is not only for 3 people. The "restaurant" where you can serve the breakfast is too small and it was always too crowded. Every morning there were people standing up and waiting for a table to be cleared. The parking lot is far away for about 300 meters. So at first, you'll have to park illegally on a small crowded street, to get everything. And when you depart you'll do the same. The room was not really clean. It's visible that the carpets were not vacuumed in a long time and the windows were not cleaned for ages. The mattress also showed sings that it was clean, when it was bought new. In the bathroom, you could always smell the sewage. Overall, the hotel has a "feeling" that it's cheap. But, it's expensive to stay.

Very pleasant building in a convenient location to walk to the old town. Very close to the Blue Church. We had a very nice room with comfortable beds, plenty of towels and a good bathroom. Room also had a fridge. No air con but the fans provided in the room worked well and made a good temperature for sleeping with the windows open. We stayed on a Thursday night and the bin collections started around 6am in the street below. There seemed to be 3 or 4 different bin collections between 6 and 10am, which woke me up. An optional breakfast is available between 6 and 10am for an additional charge but there is also a cafe right outside and other eating options down the street. We were very happy with our stay.

The room was kinda cute ngl BUT for my 4 day stay they havent cleaned it ONCE, the bathroom, the sheets all dirty. The food was so bad it was not edible, i thought “who could mess up soup” and they gave me the answer..the rice i dont wanna talk about😰the outside of the hotel looks like a mental institution but the inside was like a surprise-it was kinda nice! And why does every “3” bed room have 2 real beds and one chair with an extension mattress cuz thats false advertising it should say 2 beds and one chair “bed”. I had a nice stay tho, its an experience for sure, dont go if you want clean and comfort, go if you want fun in filth with your friendsies. All regards tho dont take offense🤙🏻

The room was big and conformable. It was very close to the bus station 🚉. The breakfast wasn't good, and there were not many options to eat. In comparison with other hotels it was expensive.

A lot off small friends (bugs) in every corner of the room and the ceiling. Many different types from flys (around 40-50 on the ceiling), some bedbugs, and some long ones). Thankfully receptionist reacted proffesionally and offered another room free of charge.
Mikołaj A — Google review
The rooms look better in photos than in reality and the rooms wich splitted for 3+3 have bathrooms spread all over the corridor(shower cabin is on the one side of the corridor and toilette is on the other, sink is in the middle of corridor). The walls and carpets are dirty. The electrical outlets were literally exploding when we plugged anything. More of the employees are pretty kind but the staff guy that walks through the hall on all of the floors is really mean and even if we weren’t loud he walked in our room and screamed at us that he will call the police(same with the other groups from our trip). The location could be better but there are few grocery shops and bus stops nearby.
Maja M — Google review
Price was 80 Euros per night for 3 people. I think, it is too much for this hotel. The toilet in our room was dirty (see the photo). Breakfast is very poor and was not clear if it is fresh. It was very warm in the room and it is impossible to change the temperature. The hotel has 3 stars, but had 2 and it is not clear for me what for these 3 were given. Personal was not friendly. It was very loud in the hotel. Many young people who were drinking and preparing for a party.

The rooms that we had were "business class" so more pricey, but no air conditioning and it was really hot in the rooms we couldn't cool it down so had to get our own air conditioning in ( and they barely allowed that), we found roaches in the room on the third floor. The ceiling was flooding at some point in the hall. They have air conditioning in the lobby and a very big parking outside of the hotel, the breakfast was nice, but other than that very bad. The blonde lady at the front desk is very lovely and accomodating, but the man who worked at night, after we came down to the lobby to cool down since we couldn't sleep in our rooms from the heat, turned off air conditioning on purpose.
Pixie P — Google review
I'm not sure which rooms here have AC, but mine was basic and very hot... No soap in the communal toilets, this is just ridiculous 😳 are people supposed to travel with their own soap now ? The "kitchen" on the 4th floor is barely a name - a cooker, microwave, 2 plates and 2 pots. No knife , no utensils, no fridge !!!! Very, very basic hotel....they do have a buffet I believe. Staff was nice, so that's a plus. Lidl is a walking distance.

For that price it’s a Joke. I really don’t think is that a real „Business Hotel”. Water pressure in the bathroom is very low, check-in takes too long, no one is at the property to help, no clima, very loud street aroud hotel, 4 parking spaces for the entire property, ugly design, not even water in the rooms, the only good thing is that the rooms are clean.
F G — Google review
Bad experience. You can play the lottery - maybe everything will be fine. But maybe you will be offered a room that someone already lives in. Or a room that has not been cleaned at all after previous gests. If you arrive late at night, such surprises are possible, in addition to fighting with the reception machine, the codes and pin of which cannot be understood from the initial contact with the hotel and you have to try to call the administrators. The automatic key to your room may break and, after returning from a late evening walk, you may spend a long time in the corridor, because help will only arrive after a long time. Even after arrival, the problem may not be solved and you will not be given a real key to close the door, because there is only one key at all. Such adventures happen to a company of several people with several rooms, staying in a hotel for several nights. You may not encounter such problems, but don't say I didn't warn you. The hotel has been used for a long time, the carpets in the rooms are living out their last months. There is warm water in the shower, but you won't get hot. Breakfast is simple, but you can't ask for anything more for a 3* hotel. Breakfast staff is attentive. I warn you again - unpleasant surprises are possible.
Gints J — Google review
Disgusting behavior from management. We book 15 rooms and canceled 2, the hotel agreed to refund us by cash, then refuse to pay, saying we will be refunded by transfer. After 4 months, they keep making excuses not to transfer the refund with stupid excuses. Disgusting!

Not much from the outside, but inside we were pleased to find large rooms with nice bathrooms. Comfortable beds. A little far from the City, but since we had a car this was not a problem. The AC is impossble to understand. We had room facing the main street and the traffic was quite noisy.

Breakfast was really tasty. Very good location to the city center. Enough space to park a car. Public transport is also nearby. Nearby is also shopping center in case someone wants to eat something as there is no restaurant in the hotel. The room should have an aircondition, but it didn't work, despite the complaint, staff didn't fix it. There was mold in the bathroom and dirty carpet in the room. Fotos on the booking doesn't match the reality in the rooms. After 1 night in this hotel I booked another hotel.

Very good price for such a good hotel. Room we got was pretty small, but clean and quiet. Bathroom is good, but if you want to take a shower floor will be completely wet, protecting glass is constructed in a bad way. There is a complementary bottled water in a room, tea, coffee that was good surprise for us. Room also has furniture, TV. Internet is good and stable. There is a restaurant in place, with breakfast option. I didn't like Cesar there. Location is good enough to get to the downtown via tram or bus. Stops are just next to hotel. Very friendly personal.

Where : Hotel Blue – Bratislava – Slovakia Title: Great hotel, friendly service The Hotel Blue Bratislava is not near of the historic old town center but it’s really easy to get the transit and in maximum 10-15 minutes you are in the city center. The hotel is new, modern, has a cozy and clean style and we were happy, to finally, after stay in lots of not nice and expensive places around Europe, stay in a Hotel like this, with our private bathroom and comfortable bed. The price is really not expensive compared with all other places in Europe and a really good Breakfast was included. The staff that works in the reception was efficient and friendly and they helped us with some tips for the city and selling the transit tickets to get to the historic old town. We also got the transit to go direct to the Train central station to move on and start our next trip. Grade: Eli = 5, Serge = 5 Recommend: We totally recommend it, little far from the historic old town but great price with breakfast.

This hotel surprised me. I stay in hotels 300+ nights a year. The room I stayed in (19) was divided into two areas. One area had the closet and a chair along with the coffee machine. Along with the bathroom. The other area had a good size desk. A mini fridge they use for their mini bar. Along with a double size bed. This was all nicely laid out. If their cheapest room is this nice, I would like to see what their other rooms have to offer. *One major downside is that there is no lift. This could cause issues for some people. I just wanted people to be aware of that fact.* The location is really the major downside of this hotel, though it is close to the highway, and from other reviews, there is a metro close that can take you into the city. I drove in and then drove back out so I didn't have to worry about that aspect this round. If I do end up coming back to this area, I will definitely be coming back to this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to almost anyone

Great place. Clean, friendly and with free parking on site. Restaurant is good value with friendly staff. I would definitely stay there again. The only reason I gave the location 3 stars is because it's a bit hard to find, tucked away near a housing estate, but you don't know because it's well screened by trees and bushes.

We enjoyed the restaurant very much and felt welcome. The dishes were made and presented with care and beauty. It was a great reward at the end of a few hours bike trip. Very conveniently located close to the train station to go back to Vienna. I would recommend and come again!

Amazing place, a bit off the beaten track from historic Bratislava but well worth the diversion. Walkable from station Bratislava-Petrzalska (trains to Vienna). Restaurant on site that serves a sumptuous breakfast. The rooms are HUGE with high ceilings. Very quiet location -- I loved the place.

This place surprised us! We didn’t have huge expectations but it was a really nice stayed, breakfast was really big, bedrooms are also big, they have a nespresso machine inside the bedroom, near the penzion (only 4min walk) is a bus stop that let you in the city center, also free parking! Everything was great

Located in the heart of Bratislava, the Garni Hotel Virgo offers a range of rooms with kitchenettes and terraces. Some have air conditioning and some don't, but all are comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful, making it an excellent choice for budget travellers.
Perfect location! Only a few minutes walking to the old town. Rooms are really clean and spacious. We got a room not only with a shower, but with a bath! Secure parking is paid (19 euros for one day) and should be booked in advance.
Ernest B — Google review
Rooms clean with daily housekeeping, tea/instant coffee provided along with a kettle. Five minute walk to the old city, though this involves two large staircases. No elevator at the property. Check-in area located in another hotel a short distance away which was communicated beforehand and not an issue. No shower curtain in the bathroom which was odd, though probably inconvenienced housekeeping more than me. Queen beds are just two twin beds pushed together, mattresses beyond firm, better described as near-collapsed. Better beds and it would be five stars for the price.

Excelent place for a family of 3, more than enough for a couple. Nice and clean apartment with all amenities. Walking distance to old town. Recommend it.

We really loved our stay here. Breakfast was outstanding and they really looked after my dietary needs (gluten free and vegetarian). Delicious coffee! We liked our room on the second floor with a little balcony and table from which to enjoy the evening sun and appreciate the beautiful garden. The staff were excellent: kind and friendly, especially the staff at breakfast. Wow - so lovely. Thank you ☺️ Good strong shower in the bathroom and the rooms were spacious and clean. Fantastic location! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My stay at this hotel was a bit rough. I ended up with nine spider bites from just 2 nights at the hotel, and there's no elevator or help with carrying bags up the stairs. The walls are thin and you can easily be awoken from your neighbor’s conversations.

Very good location. Fast enough wifi. Safe neighbourhood. Clean rooms. Good bathrooms with comfortable showers. Loved netflix included in room. Shame there was no lounge bar, coffee machine or drinks&snacks wending machine.
Exocad N — Google review
The room was clean and nice. There is a bathtub, I loved that. Towels and toiletries were prepared (I was surprised since it is not an expensive hotel at all). There are a lot of space, fridge, the street is quiet and the location is excellent - about 5 minutes walk to the center. We parked our car in the garage, everything worked smoothly. The check-in was fast, despite of the description we did not have to pay deposit. The receptionist girl also called me later in the afternoon with the following: Sorry she did not notice on my ID card that I have a birthday today and she just wanted to wish me Happy Birthday - how amazing is this? :) - it was on 22 October, huge cheers for her. I would definetely recommend it to anyone who goes to Bratislava.
Szihalmi Á — Google review
We arrived late, and had given the wrong flight details for our taxi pick up (arranged by the hotel) but they went the extra mile to sort it out in the background for us so we were oblivious to the problem. That was helpful, and how the hotel operate. The location was perfect for us. About 5 minutes walk out of the old town, which meant it was quiet. There's also a Tesco near by (Google map it). The room was spacious, the beds comfy, and there was a large entry hall containing the wardrobe and hooks for coats. The bathroom was clean, and our only criticism was the shower was low down on the wall so we couldn't have a stand up shower and the bath took an age to drain. One final issue was housekeeping. Occasionally we would notice a cup being replaced, or a bin emptied, but the beds weren't made up or changed at any point. We were fine with that, but others might not be. All in all, we'd definitely stay again. Comfy, well located, helpful staff and loads of room.

The BlueBell Hotel is a well-known and popular hotel in the UK. It has a wide range of facilities and services to offer its guests, including an outdoor pool, a spa, and a restaurants. The hotel also has meeting rooms available for hire.
Small bad and breakfast hotel, ideal for short stays or business trips. The value for the cost is great. The hotel staff is friendly ✌🏻 The hotel is well maintained, rooms are clean and spacious despite the hotel size. There is also a quiet outdoor seating inside the hotel area, there, suitable opportunity for work or coffee. The location is ideal for city walks and sightseeings. At night the street is quiet, but morning rush may wake you up unexpectedly. The room soundprofing is suboptimal depending on the floor.

What this has going for it is the location, which is excellent. The hotel itself is pretty old - overall pretty clean - but the room had a super funky smell. No 24hr reception - I booked same-day, and arrived late, so I had to drive to another partner hotel to pick up the room key. Service was good at that hotel but it would be nice if this had 24hr reception. It's a basic bed for the night - I certainly wouldn't stay for an extended trip.

Good bits... Excellent location, very close to lots of attractions, the Danube and shops. Friendly staff that speak English. Comfortable big bed. Shower gel, handwash, small packs of earbuds etc in bathroom. Clean fresh towels. Decent size double room with reasonable street view. Modern looking, light room with huge beautiful windows. Breakfast available ( can't comment as l didn't have breakfast). Room smelled like clean linen. Not as good bits... No 24/7 reception. Reception in seperated part of hotel, not an issue as such, but you walk over a small court yard to get from the room block to the reception. Room a little worn in places - paint scuffs, marked flooring in room and shower. My room ( 2.1 ) a little noisy with guests as right next to wooden stairway on first floor. The keyring on the room key was really heavy, it weighed down my small water bottle bag! Would l stay again? Yes l would, the location is the best bit... But the cost was also reasonable too considering its location.

A small Hotel between two bigger ones. Quiet street. Shares location with several embassies so you feel really safe. Check in was quick. Our room was small but, guess it's what you have to expect for this rate. The bathroom has everything you need. it's an ok option for one or two nights.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Bluebell Hotel in Bratislava, Slovakia, and I couldn't be more delighted with my experience. What truly stood out during my visit was the exceptional service that allowed me to check in early, making my stay even more enjoyable. From the moment I arrived, the staff at Bluebell Hotel made me feel incredibly welcome. I arrived several hours before the standard check-in time, and they not only accommodated my early arrival but did so with a warm and friendly attitude. This level of service immediately set the tone for a fantastic stay. The hotel itself is a true gem. The rooms are spacious, elegantly decorated, and immaculately clean. My room offered a stunning view of the city, and the comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep. The amenities provided, from the in-room coffee maker to the well-appointed bathroom, were of the highest quality. The location of the Bluebell Hotel is perfect for exploring Bratislava. Many of the city's key attractions are within walking distance, and the staff was more than willing to offer recommendations and directions. Whether you're a tourist or a business traveler, you'll find the hotel's location to be convenient and accessible. In conclusion, my stay at Bluebell Hotel in Bratislava was nothing short of exceptional. The early check-in, impeccable service, and outstanding facilities make it a top choice for anyone visiting the city. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay in Bratislava, and I can't wait to return for another visit. It’s 2024 but not here. Here Internet doesn’t exist. U can connect to mystery WiFi called 2G or 5G but Internet is slower than youre grandma with walker. In my „apartament” there isn’t any vent even in bathroom. What?! The room is big for sure but it’s a bit dirty. I found two big dust bunny! Have anyone even vacuumed floor here? And there isn’t any conditioner. Overall it’s okayish but I prefer better Internet or in that case ANY Internet. Oh and TV are joke here aswell like there is only 6 channels? The beds are old and with the comfort of plank. In addition, they squeak so much that you can wake up by changing your position while sleeping. The shower was terribly small. You can't bend over well in it, and it's certainly not comfortable for a person +160

Ubytovňa Nobelova is situated just 4.2 km from Michael's Gate and 5 km from the heart of Bratislava, making it a convenient choice for travelers. The hostel provides amenities such as laundry services, round-the-clock security, and ironing facilities. While the entrance may be a bit challenging to locate, the friendly staff ensures a pleasant stay despite some minor issues with reservations.
The place is not bad if you plan to stay out all day and just come to sleep. The check-in was quick. The only bad thing I need to mention is that there were not enough lockers in the room and the lockers had no way of being locked with either a key or a padlock which meant that our belongings were left unprotected. The bed was noisy.
Rafael E — Google review
I only slept here for one night as I was travelling through and I only chose this place because of its price. I knew what to expect thanks to the reviews but I also want to say it myself, if you are planning on visiting Bratislava I do NOT recommend staying here. The staff doesn't really speak english, the rooms are big bare spaces without any lockers, and the worse thing, there is only one key per room. When going somewhere you have to leave the key at the reception which means that you can only get your key when there is staff, it is also possible that roommates lock the door from the inside with the key, making it impossible to get into your room when returning late. Location wise this place also is far away from the center of Bratislava, it is located between large housing blocks and the neighbourhood also only has one access point. Overall I am glad I only stayed here for one short night and even although it is cheap I would not return here.
Thomas C — Google review
Wouldn't recommend for solo travelers. This place is like a retirement home. All guests seemed to be middle aged men, seemed like permanent residents. The 'kitchen' was a fridge and microwave in the hallway, but the microwave was removed after one night. Only redeeming quality is the fact it was located conveniently next to a train station and tram stop to get to the centre of Bratislava. Reception staff were friendly enough - didn't speak English, but that's ok.
Harrison G — Google review
This place is terrible, I highly recommend not to visit it. The only reason to stay here is to not sleep under the bridge. Guy in reception doesn't speek any English and he is very mean .Conditions of toilets are very poor. In the lobby is a vendor machine but it s turn off after 11 pm . Rooms are clean beds are comfy
Niten Z — Google review
No elevator available. Shared bathroom for Men & women outside the rooms, while there is a locked/unavailable bathroom inside each room. The heater not functioning. No English speaking staff.
Saededdin S — Google review
I suggest to only go to this hostel if you have no other options. The staff was rude and didn't speak any English. When we wanted to go out, we had to leave the key at the reception, wich was a little weird. Also we Booked a room with a "private" bathroom. turns out the other room has acces to the bathroom too. So you pay extra for a "private" bathroom, that is not really private, a bit of a scam if you ask me. Also the building looked like something straight out of a horror movie, not a cozy place at all.
Ruiz R — Google review
Ugly service, 4 euros for leaving luggage, rude personnel, theft mean from public refrigerator, bad contingent, not comfortable location, you should leave keys each time if you go anything. I do not recommend this hostel. Better live in a tent outside 😂
Roman R — Google review
Entrance was difficult to find. Staff was friendly and helpful, but they had no computer so totally unaware of our reservation via Booking. However it was not a big show stopper and the accommodation was perfectly ok. All furniture was quite new and room was recently renovated. Very good price/quality ratio. I totally recommend it but bear in mind that this is not a hotel, just a place to sleep over.

I live here for 1 month. The main problem is this place very far from city centre. I recommend to take this point on your consideration. Apart of that the room have refrigerator and inductor for cooking. The room is clean but base on your roommate. For me, I got good ones and we helped each other do cleaning. But my friends had bad luck. 😅 Actually I love this place and receptionists were willing to help me a lot🤩

Great hostel/dormetory with comfort conditions! The only one problem is a bit far location from the centre of Bratislava, but buses are going always in time, so not that bad. In hostel you have free wi-fi, your little kitchen for two rooms as well as shower and toilet, also for two rooms. Price/quality is 10 out of 10! It is a cozy place in the city centre. The rooms are clean and they have AC. The bathrooms (4 seperately) are a little bit dirtier because every people are using them but they clean it every day. Comfortable room with table to work. Excellent location, right in the old town. Toilets are tidy. The sound insulation may not be very good, you can hear the tenants next door or the movement on the street, but I personally don't mind it, it's not disturbing because the other tenants are of good quality. The administrator was kind enough to let me store my luggage. But you need a code to get in and out, make sure you contact the administrator if you arrive late, because I saw a person locked out with my own eyes. Overall I am satisfied, cost-effective

Cozy apartment, good quiet location. AC worked great. We got a very good night's sleep. Thank you.
Cristina M — Google review
It was a nice room with a perfect location, and the kitchen and bathroom were well-sized. However, there were several issues that made it less than ideal. Firstly, there were no sponges or cleaning products provided to wash the dishes, so we had to leave them uncleaned. Secondly, our bed was advertised as king-sized, but the mattress was actually two small ones joined together, which was a bit uncomfortable. Additionally, while the price was reasonable, I would have preferred if the city tax had been included in the payment. Lastly, on our final night, we had to leave at 2:00 AM to catch a bus. While leaving, we followed the instructions to leave the keys inside the room. However, when we reached the entrance, we discovered that the main door was locked. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go back for the keys since another door leading to the room could only be opened from the inside or with the keys. In this stressful situation, we called the host for help, but she lived several kilometers away. Thankfully, a kind neighbor came to our aid, even though it was the middle of the night. So, at least, the neighbors are nice!
Deklan M — Google review
The host seemed very lovely and the location is 10/10 seriously so close to everything you need! But man, this place is incredibly unwelcoming, very rundown apartment block, front door displays several stickers saying 'No Airbnb, No booking.com' etc.. You are given several keys and need to unlock multiple doors to make it to your room. Room is seriously gross. Feels damp, mold on the bathroom tiles, dust everywhere, we even had a banana peel hanging from the bed frame. The bed is incredibly sweaky, pillows & duvet very old (faded and thin) and the queen bed is actually just two single mattresses with a queen sheet over it. This place could be seriously improved with very little investment, some nicer bed sheets, duvet, pillows, towels etc and a really good clean. Considered turning on the heater after a chilly night but decided against it after looking inside, bit of a fire hazard? I did reach out to the host regarding the uncleanliness and she assured me the cleaners had been in the apartment beofe we stayed, i think this cleaning company has seriously let her down. Would not stay again. Can't recommend.

Right in town centre yet quiet at night, clean with all utensils, very nice landlady. Shower room could be better as a puddle forms on floor after a shower, otherwise we'll modernised within a very old building. Absolutely loving. Cozy apartments are relatively close to the center of Bratislava. The atmosphere of the cafe down is great, music plays, they have place to smoke. Smoking in the apartment is forbidden and everything was clean. So basically if you need to say in this apartment - I definitely can recommend this, would return for sure one day. There are few stores nearby if you need shopping and close by are bus stations and all that you need to see. So, without saying too much, for sure you need this place.

Although there may be an additional city tax not advertised, the location is excellent for exploring the medieval city walls and famous landmarks nearby. The hostel offers comfortable beds, well-decorated rooms, clean bathrooms, and a decently-equipped kitchenette.
A nice hostel with a very responsive owner. It looks a bit strange with noreal sign on the door, but it's really a nice spot. There's an extra city tax which isn't advertised, at least I didn't notice it, but that's fairly usual. The location is great and I met some nice people. In less than a minute you can be in medieval city walls and you're right by the famous church where 19 Kings and Queens were crowned. Very cool spot. Thanks again for the great stay!

I stayed overnight at Hostel One in Bratislava and if I was planning to stay longer in Bratislava, I would have stayed at the same hostel. The host, Martin, was really nice and helped us a lot. He even drove with us to a free parking place in the city. The beds were nice and tidy, the room itself was decorated nicely and the bathroom was also clean and nice. I highly recommend staying here if you're ever in Bratislava.

Nice basic hostel. 8 of us stayed here for a stag do. We had the place to ourselves. Not the Comfiest of mattresses or pillows but is bed a bed.
Philip H — Google review
Hostel was OK, but its very noisy from the outside, and from other guests.
Kjell — Google review
Nice, super clean, the owner is a nice welcoming person, and it is very cheap,
