1Vienna Hostel Ruthensteiner

Hostel
Vienna Hostel Ruthensteiner offers basic dorms and private rooms, along with shared amenities like a kitchen, garden, and bar. Dating back to 1968, the hostel embodies the warm and social atmosphere associated with great hostels. Originally built in the 1840s, it has played a significant role in Viennese history and served as a refuge for immigrants. Located amidst chic cafes and vintage shops, it provides an ideal base for exploring central Vienna.
Stayed at Ruthensteiner Hostel with two friends in a private room and loved it! The hostel has great lounges, common areas, and a garden, plus handy services like bike rental and cheap transport passes. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. They also run lots of social activities, though we couldn’t fit them in this time. Overall, a great stay, I’d happily come back and recommend it!
Giorgia M — Google review
All in all a fantastic experience. The staff/volunteers were just so lovely and great. The food was delicious. The atmosphere is really social and it feels like a small family, even when you're only staying a few nights. Truly a home away from home. Special mention for the very friendly Paul who was especially helpful with tips. My number one choice of accommodation if I ever am to come back to Vienna.
Julien M — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great location and wonderful atmosphere! The staff are young volunteers — very well selected and all super friendly. Every night they cook dinner for the guests, and you simply pay whatever you feel like contributing. Our room was spacious, almost like a small studio with a kitchen and dining table. A truly amazing hostel — warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. Highly recommended!
Jose — Google review
This has got to be one of the best hostels in Vienna, if not the best! The atmosphere makes it really special. They cultivate a friendly, social vibe without being a party hostel. Breakfasts, happy hour, dinner, outings, special events….it builds a real sense of community, even if you’re only there for a few days. I will say it’s quite a young crowd (I’m mid 30s, most others seemed young to mid 20s) so I didn’t socialize as much as I otherwise might have, but that didn’t detract from the nice vibe of the place overall. The rooms are fine, though my single room was almost comically small - it’s truly a single for ONE person; I would not recommend trying to fit a couple in there. Last but not least, the location is lovely. It’s on a quiet block, a short walk to multiple public transit lines, and 15-20 mins to everywhere you’d want to be in the city. Overall I definitely recommend it and would stay here again!
Sarah — Google review
Apartment room was very nice, convenient and clean. Very very loud though, hard to sleep through all the door slamming and banging that happens all night every night. Convenient to get to Westbahnhof but far from heart of Vienna. Good for the price.
Monika — Google review
Very clean and comfortable. Lovely vibes, there were lots of people around ready to chat. The food was great and good value! Would definitely stay again
Rachel T — Google review
I loved my stay at this hostel. The accommodation is clean, the people are kind and the vibes are amazing. It’s a great hostel if you’re traveling solo and want to connect with other people!
Esteban B — Google review
The best hostel I've ever stayed in. The rooms are clean and really comfortable, all the common areas are very nice too. The dinner in the evening was always super delicious and affordable. We've met so much nice people there, from the hostel staff and from the quests. Also the events that happen every day are so cool, we went climbing and it was the best decision. I would recommend the hostel to everyone and I am for sure coming back very soon!

Wombat's City Hostel Vienna Naschmarkt is situated in a vibrant and desirable area, encapsulating the essence of Vienna. The hostel offers basic dorms and private rooms with free Wi-Fi, a communal kitchen, and a laid-back bar. Located next to the famous Naschmarkt, Austria's largest open-air market, guests can immerse themselves in the multicultural atmosphere while exploring exotic spices and specialties from around the world. With prices starting at $25.
Loved the hostel! The rooms + bathrooms were super clean. No suspicious fluids, stains nor hair! The beds were super comfy with light/shelf/privacy curtains and security box. Each bed has it's own locker too. Security was also super good, since everything was only accessible through card, except the security box in bed, which needed a numeric code. The rooms were very spacious too and I loved the view. I stayed in the MIXED Dorm with PANORAMIC VIEW. All the staff spoke English and were super helpful. The cafe + seating area downstairs was super chill and calm. No crazy partying/drinking going on. I'd say a great value for money. Only slight thing was that I had some wifi connectivity problems on our floor, but hopefully they'll have that fixed by now. The added breakfast buffet was also pretty convenient and affordable, but I wish it some hot item on the menu, like fresh eggs maybe. Over all, highly recommended!
Ahsan M — Google review
Not a bad hostel at all. Friendly and helpful hosts, excellent facilities with the bar, locker service and laundry room. I was in an 8-person room on the top floor which was clearly intended to be a 6-person room: 3 bunk beds and two single beds- I was the last to arrive so had to take a bed with no privacy curtains, and there were only 6 large lockers in the room. This wasn't a big deal for me at all, but a bit disappointing to be paying the same price as everyone else in that room! Nonetheless, a good value stay right in the centre of Vienna.
Matthew B — Google review
I spent one night at the hostel. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. The room had storage space with the option to lock personal belongings. Visiting in December, it was warm and cozy inside despite the cold outside. The bathroom was large enough and had everything needed. If I return to Wien, I would definitely stay here again :)
Blaž L — Google review
I stayed in the 4-bed female room and had an excellent experience. It wasn't possible to book a female room online but then they managed to squeeze me in during checkin. Big thanks for that! Each person had two lockers and the bunkbeds had practical curtains providing privacy. The breakfast buffet was decent and a convenient option. I got to meet some really nice people though my roommate who was braver than me in approaching strangers. The hostel has a bar with low prices where many people hanged out in the evenings. It would have been nice if the hostel organized more social events. For example, giving people a list of nearby pubs for a pub crawl or something similar that doesn't require much from the staff, just to give more options to meet others.
Natálie H — Google review
Quite a good place to stay. The room was of good size, new clean sheets were provided. Washrooms were in the room and clean. Breakfast was good, charged at Euro 8.50 People were friendly. After you checkout, the lockers need to be rented. For under 3 hours, the rental was Euro 4.5 for a locker. Not very happy about paid lockers. The common washroom for men had one tap that was broken and the other with very hot water. They provide walking tours every weekday at 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. The tour was good and informative, but the tour guide was not exactly friendly.
S T — Google review
I stayed in the 4-bed mixed room, and the accommodations were comfortable and perfectly adequate. For practical needs, they offer a convenient, paid locker service downstairs. However, the true highlight of my stay at Wombat's—and what truly sets it apart—is the legendary breakfast. This was, hands down, the only place across all of Europe where I genuinely felt I had breakfast like a king. If you're staying here, do yourself a favor and splurge on it; it makes for an unforgettable start to the day.
Shoaib R — Google review
Room are fine and clean. Also the breakfast is money worthy. But the young people working at reception..rude, talking to you with out looking at you, no thank you, no good morning no nothing and always annoyed if you asked even the simplest thing like where is the toilet or if is possible to switch on the light on the dining room. It’s a shame, because the place is fine.
Pompeo — Google review
Great place to stay. Right in the centre of the action, major transport hub nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good sound insulation, all very clean and a great atmosphere. Best hostel on my month's interrail trip.

MEININGER Hotel Wien Downtown Franz offers a unique blend of hotel security and hostel community, making it an ideal choice for social travelers exploring Vienna. Situated in the lively Leopoldstadt district, surrounded by cafes and cultural attractions, the hotel is conveniently located near major sights and nightlife. With pet-friendly accommodations and an all-you-can-eat breakfast, MEININGER Hotel Wien Downtown Franz caters to budget-conscious travelers seeking comfort.
Single room was clean, comfortable, and staff was extremely friendly! I arrived late and they had 24/7 reception to greet me. I opted for the late check out which was helpful. Quick access to trains, subways, and rental bikes to get around the city. Great place for a few nights stay.
Corrin — Google review
Great option for budget travelers. Staff was great and very helpful especially Lyon he went out of his way to facilitate us. Rooms didn't have certain things you could normally expect such as electric kettle, slippers or a full sized cupboard. But they did have a functional kitchen.
Rezvan H — Google review
If you think you are going to a hotel, you are wrong. This is a hostel. The rooms were functional but tired and the bathroom could have done with a clean. There's hardly any storage so don't expect to unpack your suitcase much. On a more positive note, it was quiet and i slept well. Staff were OK, not overly friendly and breakfast was topped up quickly. It is about a 10/15 min walk to the nearest station which is not great in the dark and no atmosphere around Meininger either. No nice cafes or bars etc. The road it's on has roadworks going on so noisy in the day and many of the walls are covered in graffiti. When we stayed there were two large student groups staying and at breakfast it was awful. The queues were enormous. I would recommend the hotel renames itself as a hostel so their guests know what to expect. Couldn't wait to leave. Having said that, it is cheap so if you are happy with functional rooms, lots of walking and queuing at breakfast, you'll be fine.
Kimberley B — Google review
Compared to the other Meininger locations I have stayed at (Venice, Rome, Budapest, Amsterdam, Bruxelles, Cologne, Copenhagen) this was less put together and neat. Dinged or dirty details, I understand the overall lower rating. At the end of the day I still had no problems going to sleep and prepare my own meals and will likely go back, but yes not 5 stars.
Serena N — Google review
Great choice for an inexpensive hotel in vienna, very close to the rossauer lande metro station, incredible staff that was very helpful and welcoming. Special thanks to the guy at the night shift at 20/10/2025, who was willing to protect us after a taxi driver who we rejected for taking too long to arrive came outside the hotel. Even though all was good, the hotel person was quick to get out and wait for us to board another taxi, making sure we were safe. The room was clean and all the rest of the guests appeared very friendly as well, all of them young. I would suggest this hotel to everyone, it truly elevated our experience.
Δέσποινα Μ — Google review
I was in a shared room for four people, most of the time i was alone in the room, there was a bathroom per room and there was a communal kitchen and a place to wash your clothes, the staff was helpful. The only problem i had is that they didnt sell locks so i had to wait a whole day to secure my stuff since everything closes early, furthermore its about 10 mins from any transport, either way it was cheap and secure
Dim ( — Google review
Absolutely amazing! The staff was really helpful, very kind and accommodating. The room was clean and modern looking. Finally, the location was very close to a metro line that took you directly to the city center.Overall a great experience. Would definitely stay there again.
Maria M — Google review
I have stayed at many different MEININGER, but this is definitely one of the best.I booked the hotel room on “Hotels.Com” and it all went very smooth with both the check in and the check out. Good service and a pleasant atmosphere. The rooms are a reasonable size for what you would expect in this price range. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise.

Hostel
Nestled in Vienna, a&t Holiday Hostel offers simple dorms and private rooms for solo travelers or groups. The entrance hall is adorned with a sprawling red carpet and tall brass vases, creating an inviting atmosphere. The hostel features large communal areas ideal for groups and a breakfast buffet spread with various options. Notably, there's an entire floor dedicated to female guests. With its modern facilities and excellent staff, the hostel provides quick access to historical sites like St.
I stayed at this hostel back in January. It was a quieter time, not many people around, and the prices were lower too. Sure, there were a couple of small things you could nitpick—like no curtains in the bathroom stalls or a hairdryer that wasn’t working (but they gave me a new one at the reception right away, no problem). Honestly though, none of that really mattered, because the place just had a good vibe. The hostel was going through a transition—new owners, new energy—and you could feel they were still getting everything into shape. Breakfast was a buffet, nothing fancy or 5-star, of course, but everything was super fresh and really tasty. But what really made my stay special was the people. Especially Ibrahim, the night guy. This man was pure warmth. He greeted me with a smile no matter what time I came in—1am, 3am, didn’t matter. Always offered a cup of tea and was down for a good chat about life. Just a genuinely kind soul. Big respect to him—I honestly wish him all the best, both in his job and in life. And to the hostel management: please take good care of staff like Ibrahim. People like him are the heart and soul of your place. You’re lucky to have him.
YURIY V — Google review
Very clean and quiet hostel. The beds were comfortable, and the internet was fast. Conveniently close to the metro, with markets and restaurants nearby. Perfect for a short stay in Vienna. The staff were very helpful, especially the night receptionist, Mr. İbrahim thank you for your support!
Furkan A — Google review
Only stayed for one short night before leaving early in the morning, so for that purpose it was a decent accomodation. The beds were comfortable and the lobby was nice. The bathroom was unfortunately quite dirty (many hairs and toilet paper on the ground, shower also did not look clean). The lockers were very useful, but quite narrow to store a backpack in it and very noisy if they need to be used late in the evening/early in the morning.
Lara H — Google review
We had a nice stay here. We stayed in the private room, it was lovely and clean. Check in was easy and staff were nice. Only negative for us was the area it was located, it doesn’t seem like the most safest of areas, especially around the closest metro stop which isn’t too far away, we got a taxi home on one night due to this. If you research a bit more it does seem like one of the worst parts of Vienna which is a shame, I should’ve done more research. Apart from the area it was a lovely place to stay.
Eoin H — Google review
I haven’t stayed in many hostels in Austria or Vienna, but for my experience - the budget - it was a brilliant place. People were friendly, service on the top (when there was some mess they cleaned it with 5-star service) - when I couldn’t pay with the coffee machine (I didn’t have coins) the manager (I believe) said no worries and sorted it out that moment. Very organised and well run place. Not to mention spacious lounge for breakfast or food, and cozy couches to chill at. Eine schön erfahrung!
John ( — Google review
Everything was great -price, cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was probably not included, but even though I didn’t pay for it, the owner offered me an omelette and there were croissants available during check-in and check-out. It didn’t feel like a €25 hostel at all , it felt more like a €100 hotel! One of the best things was that they had a luggage storage area, which was actually one of the main reasons I chose this place. I’ll definitely recommend it to all my friends! Vielen Dank!
Enes Y — Google review
I loved my experience at the A&T hostel, the service and quality of rooms were amazing. The breakfast food was delicious and everyone at the front desk to the managers are happy to help with any concern. I had some personal issues with certain people around the area but it had no correlation to the hostel. I would recommend this hostel to anyone in Vienna wanting a great experience for a hostel and hotel.
Michael N — Google review
The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the the hostel required a photo copy of our passports what just isn’t allowed. We had booked a private room as a couple. The room itself was reasonably clean and the staff were friendly, so the basics were fine. However, the mattresses were old and sagging badly in the middle. We both woke up with back pain, and honestly, the floor might have been more comfortable. What also bothered us was that the hostel required a photocopy of our passports without the cover, which goes against European privacy laws.

JO&JOE Wien is a trendy hostel located in Vienna, offering sleek dorms and private rooms. Its fantastic location provides easy access to public transport connections and the city center. The hostel features cool facilities such as a restaurant, bar, rooftop cafe, lobby, and games room where guests can socialize and relax. The modern design encourages interaction among guests while providing comfort and cleanliness in private en suite rooms and pod-style dorms with ample bathrooms.
THE BEST HOSTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT! I love the curtains that you can pull down for privacy, the rooftop was a highlight it was just cold but beautiful view even from personally my dorm 236 I think it was. There was a random free salsa event happening which made my stay ! At the same time there was a roof top event which happens every sat. There was a problem with parking that is falsely advertised but the lady was understanding about it.
Yasmine M — Google review
It was my first time staying at a hostel. I stayed 2 nights at Jo&Joe Vienna. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was included and it was excellent, better than in other hotels. My room was also good. I wish I had been given a lower bed instead of climbing the ladder to my bunker bed. The hostel is very well decorated and entertained with evening/night activities for all ages! This place changed my opinion about hostels. Definitely, would stay there if one day I visit Vienna again!
Robson A — Google review
Room was great and very spacious. There were large glass windows that let a lot of sunlights in. The only downside is that the beds do not have blinds. Check-in staffs were unfriendly and one of them was a bit rude. The rest of the staff (kitchen) were nice and welcoming. They charge exorbitantly for storing your luggage, even when you are waiting for your bed/room. Location was easy to find and close to train station. Rooftop view of Vienna was very nice too.
Sunny T — Google review
I will admit, when I first met Joe upon arrival I was a little bit apprehensive as he was very tall, muscular, and intimidating. Besides, I was a little bit late to arrive. But it turns out looks aren't always what they seem, as Joe was the loveliest owner I have ever met. He personally showed me around the hostel, and wow was I impressed. He helped me settle in, and even assisted me with unpacking my bags and tidying away other people's belongings that unfortunately were strewn all over the floor (some people have no hostel sense!). I decided to hit the town, and asked Joe where the best spot was to meet new people and make friends in Vienna, and he recommended me Travellers Shack, which wasn't too far away. I had a great night off the back of a great recommendation and that's an aspect of service I really appreciate when travelling the continent. You don't see that every day! But the great service doesn't end there, as when I arrived back from the club (maybe I had one too many cocktails), and I wanted to talk to everyone!, luckily the other Joe who I hadn't met yet was sitting at the bar and he was more than happy to talk to me! In fact, he even went so far as to turn on the buildings heating as I said it was too cold and he brought a blanket and warm milk into my dormitory. Upon waking up, he greeted me with a smile alongside the other Joe and wished me a good morning and helped me carry my bags down the lift after I checked out. I wasn't sure which button to press and they guided my finger towards the E button. (these buttons in Austria never make sense!). All in all I couldn't recommend this hostel more to anyone and a special kudos to the owners who made my stay truly special.
Oisin F — Google review
Jo&Joe’s Wien was a fantastic place to stay! It’s centrally located, making it easy to reach most of Vienna’s main attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area, offering great recommendations and even inviting guests to the events they host. While the vibe is geared a bit more toward younger adults, there’s a wonderful mix of ages and cultures including families, which really adds to the overall experience. Being located above an IKEA gives it a unique charm, and the fun, creative décor definitely enhances the stay. A great choice for anyone looking for a lively and welcoming place in Vienna!
Ryan M — Google review
I stayed inside only one our without counting the sleeping time, but for what I could see the atmosphere was stunning, and seemed like a place where you can have a lot of fun. After I came back to go to sleep I saw that there was an even and I bet it was really fun. Unfortunately I was too tired :( If I will ever come again to Vienna to spend more than one day, I will for sure come again to this hostel and enjoy everything it has to offer!

Nice place to stay. The location isnt in the center, but there's the station right next. Nice vibe, beautiful space. The rooms where nice, with space, the badroom also good. The bed was a little bit hard. Unfortunately, i couldnt enjoy the rooftop. But, for sure, I will come back

I would like to share some feedback regarding my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, I experienced a few issues during my visit: The reception staff were rather impolite and seemed uninterested in assisting guests. The beds have plastic mattresses, which made sleeping quite uncomfortable. I also found the luggage storage fee of €1.50 per hour to be excessive. On a positive note, I appreciate that the bathrooms were well equipped with soap and shower gel — that was a nice touch. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to improve the guest experience in the future. Kind regards,

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and tidy. Towels included and affordable price. I love a&o franchise. I would visit again when I back to Vienna! Thank you so much for the warm welcome :)

The location was the best thing, the receptionists were friendly and that’s it! I asked for an early check-in but the receptionist insisted that there are not vacant rooms but offered to have our luggage in the luggage room till the check-in time. When it was 3, the system as always mentioned that no rooms were available (not cleaned yet) Then after the receptionist went by her self to check that, she told me that they are finalizing the cleaning room and I can go as they will be late 5 minutes maxim. Guess what? The cleaning person told me that the room was already vacant from earlier and he was just told to clean it now!! I’m assuming it’s bad communication but still doesn’t concern me! The room had no closet, no kettle and the room wasn’t easy to get too, it felt like a maze! Room 35 The room windows weren’t installed good enough that there was a sound and air leaking as if we were staying in the street. One of the workers was about to enter the room without a permission claiming that he was checking the rooms! We didn’t feel safe or relaxed to the extent that we decided to leave the next day even we still have another day left. Would never recommend it.

we were a group of five and didn't get informed that one of us would be put in a different room from the rest. we went to the reception who told us you couldn't drink the tap water but that they could fill our bottles up, meaning every time we needed water we had to go to the reception. the only other alternative was paying extra for the kitchen. overall though, the beds were good, it was clean and had good bathroom facilities. also it said there was a curfew of 11 but there were numerous school kids yelling far later into the night.

The facility is on a great location with respect to the city's attractions and it is very easy and quick to get anywhere. The hotel staff is very friendly and helps to solve every need of the guest. The bathroom of the room we stayed in should be renovated. The floor of one of the beds was very creaky although the mattresses were comfortable.
Alen G — Google review
The service in the breakfast room was completely overwhelmed with clearing the dishes, cleaning the tables, and restocking the buffet. The hotel is located directly on the main road with no soundproofing and is very noisy. All in all, the price for an overnight stay was completely exorbitant.
Werner B — Google review
Stayed for 2 nights in a 4 bed room. Decent place, good reception and support. Clean rooms, could be cleaner but ok. Toilettes and bathrooms ok. A problem for some could be the noise of the nearby street. But on the other hand the location is convenient, within a short distance from subway, trams and city buses that get you litterslly everywhere! Overall a good place for the money. Will come again.

I felt safe in my room, which was clean enough for sleeping and showering but had a sticky spot on the floor that I put a chair over to avoid. I had two heavy suitcases but could not use the elevator because you must first descend/climb stairs to access the elevator, so this hostel is inaccessible to those with disabilities or who need stroller/luggage assistance. The neighborhood immediately west and south of the hostel felt extremely unsafe, so I only went out during daylight hours and stayed sober and alert (I'm very used to cities, so this is not coming from someone who's afraid of cities). The first night had a lot of noise from drunks shouting in the halls, but it was fairly calm after that. Beer selection at their bar was pretty good. Location was within walking distance to lots of transit and other things I needed. It was fine.

This is our 2nd time staying here. We love A&O chain. We had room 409 this time. The window in the roof gave us a great view of the city. `it was small, but the bed was comfy. The shower had good pressure although the sink, the hot water was basically a drip. so it was only cold water. Lots of power outlets and wifi good. Location is right next to a U6 train. Very good bar and lobby. I know it's 24 hour reception but the doors are always open and I worry that non-guests can just roam the halls. But we love this spot/location.

Nestled in Vienna's Favoriten district, St Christopher's Inn Vienna is a vibrant and youthful hostel that serves as an ideal base for backpackers looking to explore the cultural capital of Europe. With its prime location near Keplerplatz U-Bahn station, this hostel offers easy access to Vienna's unmissable attractions such as Hofburg Palace and MuseumsQuartier. The hostel is particularly popular among young travelers and backpackers seeking a fun and sociable environment.
The hostel itself is good, but instead of making comments about the hostel - I want to say a few words about the staff. All of them have been super nice, but I have to give all praises to Mylêne. She is the kindest, most professional, and nicest hostel receptionist I've seen in my whole life. She made my stay better, and I'll be happy to come back to St Christopher's Inn when I'm back in Vienna.

This was a very nice hostel. The staff was very kind and welcoming. B was my favorite. He was knowledgeable about the city and was very nice. They had good recommendations in the city and had activities each night like a cocktail course. You have the option to get breakfast there. They do give you a discount at the restaurant and a welcome drink which was very kind. No air con in the rooms made for a very hot night sleep. It is a bit outside of city center, not horrible, you just have to walk into town a bit. The soap in the bathroom usually was empty, so I don't know if they were refilling regularly. I would recommend this place for a nice economic stay.
Constantine J — Google review
Me and my brother came here, for a night and we had some issues checking in, but that’s not really there fault. We walked into the room and it looked great except all the blankets were on some rack, instead of on the bed, I don’t know if that’s normal in Vienna since we’re just visiting. But in the morning I noticed there were stains on the blankets, there were no other blankets around except this one, and my brothers. The room itself is good I guess, but the staff were great.

Solid experience across the board here. Really good workers and professional staff. Came here a few months ago during a trip across the European continent, specifically to visit my granddad's place of birth during the 1930s prior to his immigration to US. St Christopher's offered a really good series of experiences. The only downside is the location which is a little bit south of Central Vienna. Otherwise, its great!
Zachary R — Google review
The receptionists are very kind, polite, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The room is spacious, and it’s nice that the toilet and shower are separate. Each bed has its own curtain and light, which gives you some privacy and prevents you from disturbing others when your light is on. It’s also pretty quiet, so you can get a good night’s sleep after a long day out. However, the toilet had a really bad smell — like strong urine — and even with the door closed, you could still smell it. The shower drain was also very slow, which made it quite unpleasant. Hopefully, this can be fixed soon.

amazing place with great people! carlos was so sweet at reception. rhys really gave an unforgettable experience there also being behind the bar. and radka was the loveliest bartender. these people made the stay 10/10:)

I really enjoyed my stay, the people working here are so friendly and welcoming, also if you book in their website you get a free welcome drink and a discount. The rooms are clean and it is quiet. The bed has a curtain for your privacy.

First of all the staff is brilliant! Super polite and very helpful. Our stay was good as we booked a private room but the only thing is cleanliness in the room, wash room was dirty and we could see a lot of dust on other furniture. It’s far away deol city Center but i. Middle of city hustle bustle itself. Tram bus station and a lot of super market around. One thing I wasn’t happy in particular was about them charging for locker rooms even for resident. Rest it was a good stay overall!

Situated near the vibrant city center, it provides easy access to Westbahnhof train station and Mariahilfer Strasse, Vienna's renowned shopping boulevard. good access to trams so easy to get anywhere in the city. it's a quiet area but a quick walk away from nice bars and places to eat. the reception staff is absolutely lovely, making sure we feel welcome. rooms are clean and not too small, bathrooms also clean. would highly recommend.

Slightly more expensive that some other hostels in the city but on the other hand the rooms are larger than average. Pity breakfast is not automatically included. Location excellent, shops, bars and public transportation network nearby. Still, it is in a backstreet so reasonably quiet around.
D T — Google review
The Hostel is ideally located in the heart of the city which is walking distances to shopping complexes, Hotels, Restaurants and is close to all public transportation networks. The hosts are very hospitable, kind and approachable. You can always see them wearing a smile, warm and fluent in English besides German. The accommodations here cover the basic needs of any traveller with bed linen, comfortable mattresses and a quiet locality. It's a lovely, safe place to interact with other travellers and a must stay if you're on the lookout for a place to crash, space to shower and make new friends on your trip!

I took a school group to the hostel. The place was clean (much cleaner than expected) the beds were really confi. Breakfast was great, staff was extremely nice and friendly. When food allergies turned out the staff immediately went to buy lactose free and gluten free things. I'm very satisfied with the hostel. The location is also great, there are good restaurants nearby, the metro/ tram is a 3 min walk, supermarkets, shops also. Next time I go to Vienna I will use the same hostel.

It’s just a hostel but cmon you can do better. 0 space at beds to put phone, glasses etc while sleeping. Not much in the bathroom either to put clothes and stuff. Just a small shelf at each upper bed would be great. Bed themselves are ok, but not as sturdy as one would hope. Sheets where not particularly clean but also not too bad.

The staff is super friendly, the rooms are spacious and have a bathroom so you only share with the people in the room and it’s located close to backers, train stations and not too far from anywhere in Vienna. Couldn’t recommend a better place to spend a few nights in Vienna :)

It's a hostel after all. But it's a good quality hostel. Provided clean bedding. The lobby had big open spaces to sit and relax as well as a coffee machine and (free hot water) which I felt was an extra kindness to travellers. In general really a pleasant night stay

Good hostel for the price. Very family friendly. Some staff were amazing, really helpful. Others quite rude. Somehow managed to separate my friend and I into different rooms and were unable to amend. Even though there were empty/unused beds in both of our rooms.
Marcus T — Google review
Room 309 Sept.19 - 22 I like the location. It is near to the train station. The room is spacious and it has shower and toilet in it. The toilet and shower room were fairly clean. But the floor of the entire room wasn't clean. Covered with visible thick dusts especially under the corner of the bed. Apparently, their only concern is just to change the bed cover/linen and leave just like what I witnessed. They never clean the floor. They should do something with the door to atleast lessen the loud noise everytime it closes. You could do better.

I made the 1st reservation for one nite and the 2nd reservation for another nite for two bunk beds. When I checked in, Ms.Sahar informed me that she cannot accommodate us in the same bunk beds because our two nites were not in the same booking reference. I told her that it was because of last minute extension. She was not willing to help and brushed me off. Hence, I was refered to Artur who then tried to assist me but kept stressing that any bookings that was made separately for two nights will not be guaranteed same bunk. I told him again this was done because it was a last minute change. His actual words "SINCE YOU DO NOT WANT TO LISTEN TO MY EXPLANATION, I WILL NOT FURTHER THIS DISCUSSION WITH YOU". He doesn't have to lecture me but simply find me a solution, as simple as that. Only 2 staff and a trainee was assigned at a very busy check in time which is not very efficient of your management. Your guest kitchen facility was very unpleasant, dirty and trash bin was very messy compare to A&O Graz where we stayed the night before. Hotel was overall clean and comfortable especially the sleeping room and it's bathroom and toilet. The attitude of your staff really does make a lot of differences, it can either make or break you!
Bern L — Google review
The ratio price-performance was acceptable, BUT: The room was too small for 4 adults. Fortunately we had very little baggage, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to move around at all! The bathroom could have been cleaner, but the shower was the greatest disappointment: the drain was clogged! Ones feet were under 5cm of water after 2 minutes under the shower. The best was breakfast and the nearness to the main station.
Aine E — Google review
I was really satisfied, affordable, accessible, clean, ate well at breakfast buffet, but other guest on my third floor were very noisy until 3 am, and someone tried to open my room, probably by mistake, but it was disturbing at that time of night. Thumbs up for my stay, hotel wise.

SOLO FEMALE TRAVELLERS STAY AWAY!! I booked and paid for an all-female dorm (beginning of october 2025), but when I arrived there were men in the room. I immediately spoke to reception and was told the hostel was full and nothing could be done. The next day, when I mentioned it again while trying to extend my stay, my concern was ignored and no effort was made to correct the mistake or offer compensation. When I later checked back in, I was told to take the assigned bed, or “any free one” if it was occupied. I went to sleep and at 2:30 a.m., I was woken by a man grabbing my leg, saying it was his bed but there were no vacant beds left in the room. It was frightening and completely unacceptable. It also meant they had unaccouted for people in the hostel!!! I went to reception, and thankfully Ruben was very understanding and immediately helped me move to another room. Really appreciate his help! However, the next morning, I was told by another member I had to move rooms again because of “maintenance,” meaning I was moved x3 in less than 24 hours. The team was nice but the security and bookings system in place in unacceptable. As a further note, in the dorms there are bunks and side by side single beds meaning whatever poor person gets that bed is sleeping next to a stranger. Also, very few power outlets in the dorms so you have to lose part of your morning charging downstairs or do it with your portable charger. I felt uncomfortable, ignored, and unsafe throughout my stay. I can’t recommend this hostel to anyone, and especially not to women travelling alone.
Ruby H — Google review
I regret to say that our experience at this establishment was far from satisfactory, primarily due to poor management of reservations and guest accommodations. Upon our arrival, we encountered a frustrating situation that lasted over two hours in the lobby as we waited to check in. Our rooms were still being cleaned, and unfortunately, some were not cleaned at all. To make matters worse, there was a mix-up that resulted in a stranger being booked into the same room as ours. Hygiene was another significant concern. We found stains on the sheets, towels, and pillows, and there were dust bunnies visible under the beds and along the edges. This lack of cleanliness was surprising, especially since it was evident to anyone, including the cleaning staff. The bathroom facilities were equally disappointing. The rooms are tightly packed to maximize profitability, which compromises comfort and cleanliness. Additionally, the soap in the dispenser caused an allergic reaction for me, suggesting it may not be suitable for those with sensitive skin. The TV seemed as though it was just a decoration, the remote didn't work at all. On a positive note, the location of the establishment is excellent, and the price is competitive. Great cafeteria staff and good continental breafkfast. However, without significant improvements in management and hygiene, I cannot recommend this place based on our experience.

For a hostel, this is a unique concept, which has created a league of its own. 100% recommendation. Super good. As a woman, however, make sure that you book the right category. The 6-dorm-rooms are mixed sex! As a female, I erroneously ended up booking a mixed room where I did not want to be. ! Let me tell you: hostel staff sorted my problem out in a stunning and very satisfactory way! This is really an amazing place. Stay there and be happy like me!!!!!

Absolutely amazing hostel. Quiet, comfy, full-size mattresses, cosy, and great location, especially with the trams and u-Bahn under 5 minutes walk away. Amazing spot to stay if you’re headed to Weiner Stadthalle for a show like I was. Pictures you see do the place complete justice. On the same block is multiple bakeries, a laundromat, and several spots for grocery or chemist shopping (staff also wash your laundry for 15 euros). While I only saw my own room, the common room and the lobby, it matched up to the description. Staff fantastic, especially after a water issue caused one night to have to be moved elsewhere. Adi was nothing but a superstar in letting me know what happened and getting stuff sorted so I was able to stay close by. Great to relax in and have a quiet space. The shower in my room was almost at hotel level given the level of cleanliness and aesthetic! Would 100% stay here again if I’m ever in Vienna on another occasion. Thanks from Davis!

I had a great stay at this hostel! The place was very clean, quiet, and well-maintained -- perfect for getting a good night’s rest. It’s not located near the main tourist attractions, but there’s a tram stop nearby, which made it easy to get around. I also appreciated the little touches, such as their tea and coffee, which were almost always available. Overall, a comfortable and peaceful stay -- I’d happily stay here again! Recommended to bring your own slippers as you cannot wear shoes indoors.

I travelled alone as a woman and stayed in the women- only room. This was very comfortable and the other people were respectful. I stayed 6 nights. The bed is comfortable, the room is clean. the staff is very kind. They provide coffee. the neighborhood is quiet, but there are cute bars, restaurants and bakeries nearby. It is easy to navigate to anywhere you'd like to go.

I really enjoyed this hostel. It was very cute and relaxing. The noise level was extremely low inside, no loud guests or loud common areas in the 3 days I was there. This made the hostel a peaceful haven to come back to after a busy day. The street noise was loud at night from surrounding bars but we had our window open. Inside the hostel is gorgeous and old fashioned, but very clean and maintained. There were bed curtains in my female dorm adding privacy and darkness. I would stay here again.

The very best! I’m in love for this premium Hostel! couldn’t be better! So attentive to the details and quality! Best atmosphere to feel like home in a very beautiful viennese style! Great guests! Thank Vic for your hospitality, I wish all the best to your place!
Natália F — Google review
Rooms are very clean, beds are big and provide curtains for privacy. There is a light above each bed so you can read without disturbing other roommates. They have a lady that cleans the rooms and bathrooms every day. Location is 30-40 minutes by walk from city center, but there is a tram+subway connection that gets you there in 15ish minutes. I recommend buying Vienna multi-day ticket for public transport. There is one restaurant right next to the hostel, few more cafes and restaurants nearby, a bakery and a laundomat. Restaurant below closes at 9pm. Trams and cars make a bit of noise so it may be better to sleep with windows closed. There is virtually no noise with windows closed but it can get stuffy. Hostel charges 15 euro for laundy (washing +drying) which is the same as in laundromat nearby (it was like 15.10 euro, washing + drying), but hostels detergent at least smells nicer. Overall very good impression, would stay here again.

Additionally, during winter, guests can explore the nearby Wilhelminenberg Christmas market.
Such a beautiful place to be. Located right above a beautiful field of vineyards with local wineries very close by. Expect beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Quite hospitable with clean dorms, guest kitchen, and a breakfast bar downstairs to accomodate for those hungry mornings. Only issue was it was far away from any shops or any food nearby. 20-30 mins walk to nearest grocery store.

I didn’t like the trip at all there was a single thing that I liked and that was the view but everything was dirty. The rooms were with lot of bugs and the bathtub was so dirty. The bathroom was so small so you can’t even move. The food was not good and there were strange noises at Midnight. I am sorry but I don‘t recommend this hostel.
Elena B — Google review
Well let me start off by saying that the staff is very sweet and friendly, probably some of the nicest people I’ve met in Vienna (there weren’t many nice people). The location was very breathtaking, especially at night but it was extremely far away from the city, so it took some time to get to the city. The rooms? They were bad, we found 5 cockroaches, 2 grasshoppers and one hornet. Also it was dirty we had clean the entire room ourselves. All in all it’s a 50/50 if you want to stay there or not.
Melody S — Google review
Very silent place and great views in the surrounding areas. The only not so nice was that from the parking areas to main entrance was a little far to walk with luggage. Place doesn't look to new, but it's old stile, and not really big rooms. They have a nice garden at the back but sadly no bench to sit on to enjoy the fresh air and the areas. Overall was a nice experience
Con N — Google review
I thought the bare minimum nowadays would be to have WiFi in the hostel. The WiFi is however only available near the reception. There is no WiFi in the rooms nor in the breakfast area. The nicest thing about this place is definitely the view.
Gijs R — Google review
We pulled up in our uber but the hostel is back further, this was misleading. The check in staff was missing from the desk when we arrived at 2 and we waited till 3 when she returned. We received 1 key for the room. We wanted 2 beds but instead found 4 smaller beds. The shower was very small, with no soap or hand soap. The room had only 2 outlets in it. The bedding was given to us upon check in and we needed to make our own beds. We were about a half hour away from Vienna. We needed to take a bus and a train to get downtown. The room was nice and we made it work. For what we got the price was high.
Thomas S — Google review
I really enjoyed this place back in 2012. The view is awesome and the location is distant from the city centre, which I think is great if you want to be around Vienna, but not if you are looking to visit the centre everyday, because it might take you at least 40 minutes to arrive there. Seems now that the place has not changed much since 2012, but hey. It sufficed back then, so why not now?
Kjell D — Google review
The least expensive decently rated hostel in Vienna. It's pretty far from the city center as you need to travel 25 min by bus there. Associated with a really nice hotel which has parking space so good if you have a car. The place is clean however it seemed my bathroom was not cleaned on the days I was there. Overall good for the price.

Very clean and nice hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a shared kitchen with laundry machines. Also a great thing is the luggage store. If you have a late flight in the day, you can check out, place the luggage in the store and roam around the city. It was a good experience. The rooms were quite small though against my expectations and no facilities in the room. the public transport is a bit of struggle if you have kids. Overall i had a great time

There’s a women with short straight hair at the reception with really BAD VIBES, honestly just by entering the hostel and speaking with her I regretted booking there. Other than that my bed sheets were dirty with HAIR, the light in the toilet didn’t work, and there are no nets on the windows - so the room was full of bugs. The rest of the staff were kind and polite, but that lady that seemed like the manger left a very bad taste. Overall 0/5 - would not recommend

He gave me loads of top recommendations good spots, and was a total pleasure to chat with every evening. Genuine good vibes, never rushed, just a class act. And on my last night, The man went above and beyond he gave me a free beer as a send-off gift, paid for out of his own pocket. Who even does that these days? Emilio’s Good as gold. If you’re lucky enough to catch him on shift, have a chat you’ll walk away in a better mood, guaranteed. Give this man a raise. Or at least a case of beers.

Overall pretty nice and budget-friendly hotel. It's a short walk to the U2/U4 metro train stop Schottenring which is just a few stops to the town center. Just use the OBB app for day or multi-day passes. They have breakfast available but I opted out to keep it cheap. So can't say if it's worth it or not. But might be a good idea for families since the neighborhood is more residential and not many food options nearby. Also there's no AC in the rooms which get a bit warm in the summer. But the room did have a couple of fans which helped. Wien/Vienna is a beautiful and historically rich city. Plenty to see and explore! Also the Schonbrunn Palace has a huge garden and walking area. You could easily spend a couple hours just walking around the beautiful palace grounds if you want to save on the palace tickets or don't want to wait.

Terrible, was given room that has not been cleaned, dirty toilet, no toilet paper, no light in the toilet, stickers from previous guests in bed. Night receptionist clueless and unable to deal with the issue, claiming that not able to access the hotel software system due to end of day audit. Manager that meant to be in the hotel in morning not present either, not even courtesy call back. After deep clean was promised for the room - we have found the room in same status with no towels left!! Had to go asking in reception…..total disaster….

Nestled just a stone's throw away from Vienna's Westbahnhof train station, Do Step Inn is a vibrant and lively hotel & hostel that caters to the needs of backpackers, solo travelers, and groups. The establishment offers a blend of traditional hostel ambiance with contemporary facilities such as a kitchen, bar, game room, and terrace. Its central location between the Baroque City Centre and Schonbrunn Palace makes it an ideal base for exploring Vienna's main attractions.
Had an emergency and needed the room ASAP. Wonderful man at the counter helped us and was very polite and considerate. The room itself was clean, no bedbugs or stains in sight. All in all, a great experience, would recommend!

Nice staff. The hostel is 10 minutes from one of the main train stations in Vienna. Nearby there is also a grocery store. Would recommend!

If you're looking for budget friendly place with clean rooms, clean bathrooms, near Westbanhof station i.e. direct airport train with no mote connections, then that's the place....but you can't sleep, noisy all time. It has no elevators too.

My room was contaminated with bedbugs, I lost a lot of blood, had to leave one day early, didn't get refunded for my stay Everyone on reception was lying to me: For example, the owner of the place told me that he is just a night guard Manager pretended that she does not speak English and so on They refused to wash the second part of my clothes because "our washer is too big". And so on, so on, I can list those lies and ignoring my need to clean properly my clothes forever I had to change my further travel plans, buy myself new clothes and a backpack. In all, staying in this place costed me additional 300 euros On photos you can see almost 1 cm bedbug, my blood on the bedsheets and shit if bedbugs under my bed

The rooms were clean, the bathroom was tidy, I took fault at the fact that the lockers had no locks, and you had to buy them at the reception for 8€, and there was no offer of renting them. The rooms also didn't have outlets next to the bed. The staff wasn't rude, they just weren't helpful. The hostel is very quiet and there aren't any events that go on there. The garden is "closed" at 11/12h and you are made to sit in the kitchen or the dining room. If you want to wash your clothes the price is 17€, and they don't divide the laundry. The location is good, the metro is very close by and you can go everywhere in the city from here. But everyone can enter the hostel and go to the kitchen or even the rooms. The rooms do have a card key but it is worrisome that just anyone from the street can enter. The doors do lock at around midnight and you can open them with the card key.

Hostel Hütteldorf is a relaxed and youthful hostel located just 10 minutes away from the Schonbrunn Palace and the Naschmarkt. It offers bright dorms and private rooms, along with free breakfast, parking, and Wi-Fi. Situated on the edge of a forest with walking and biking trails nearby, it's ideal for nature lovers. While the mattresses are old, the rooms are clean with available sheets in the lobby upon check-in.
Personally I loved it, a little far out if you arrive at night from the nearest station but I soon figured it out. Not particularly hidden just up a hill. Basically opposite a SPAR and a Bakerie which lets face it is perfect location wise. The locals are lovely and kind. The scenery is great and for the price of the bed, I had a fantastic stay. 24h check in is ideal, same as most hostels in terms of bedding. The people I stayed in the room with were far more sensitive to noise from other guests than I was. The lockers are in the rooms and a little small. Not really meant for all your gear, just the essentials and clothing, more like small wardrobes. Take your own padlock. The staff were nice, informative and chatty. Update: I Just stayed here again five years later, and I would still recommend for all the above reasons.

Not the worst cheap stay, but has its flaws. For starters, their “kitchen” is a kettle, a fridge, and a microwave. That’s it. And don’t bother asking to use their nicer one that they use for breakfast, as they’ll rudely tell you “not a chance”. The hallway leading to said kitchen smells strangely musty which, well, isn’t superbly appetizing. As far as I know, only a single bathroom in the entire building has soap and a way to dry your hands. I don’t feel like those two things are that much to ask for. The maids come into the room to clean it while you’re sleeping, which is very odd. Was not a fan of that. To its credit, though, the rooms are pretty nice. If you have your own locks, the storage units are very pleasant to use. Lots of space to store your belongings. Plus each bed has a convenient outlet and lamp that works quite nicely, resting on a nice shelf to put belongings. Also there was a cute cat running around, so bonus points for that.

This place is excellent if you don't want to pay too much for a hotel, it is clean, the staff is very nice. Although there is no WC in the room, the shared bathroom is very clean. The breakfast is also awesome! :) It is a hostel, not a 4 star hotel, so don't have too much expactations!

One of the best hostel I've stayed in till date. Very clean, organised and ample facilities. Since it is far from city centre, it is very quiet and peaceful. You can enjoy the nature with their gardens. Their buffet breakfast was worth the money. The reception was also very polite and helpful. Only concern that one is not allowed to check in before 3 PM at any cost. You can wait in their lobby but you cannot access any room. If somebody needs to be near the city centre, this may not be a good choice but if you are considering to go by public transport, then I would recommend this.
Parikshit A — Google review
Nice view of the garden from the room. People there are very very friendly and sociable, it's a nice place to meet new friends and really good people. Check-in and check-out were very fast. The guys at the reception are very friendly and always happy to have a small talk with you. But, coffee for breakfast is very terrible. Radiator in my room was leaking. There is not much choice of options (like bathroom accessories and bar).
Tony B — Google review
Nice for big groups. Very clean rooms, but the mattresses are rather old and the beds smaller but much bigger than 180cm. The clean sheets are in the lobby upon check-in. Showers should get descaled, but still in OK condition. Very slippery floors while stepping of the showerplatform canbmake a very nice balance game every morning. The rooms seem to be hot it both winter and summer, which is not always as desired by some. Breakfast buffet has limited options, but plenty for all guests. The quality and taste of the food could be the reason for that though. Proximity of metro station and stop for night bus is definitely a plus, since the area is rather far from the center.
D.H. V — Google review
Were there in the month of June, the hostel is not in a bad area of town. easy access to the center, there are metro and regular buses. Hostel itself is very clean, rooms, toilets, a very friendly staff, which explains everything and says everything, especially nice was the girl Urssula :) Very convenient that included breakfast, they do not have much variety but quite hearty breakfast. We left our things in the room, nothing was missing. Overall, very pleased, we recommend)

Stadtaffe - Chic Hostel VIE is a charming urban retreat located just a short walk from Wiener Stadthalle. The hostel offers smoke-free rooms, express check-in and check-out, complimentary WiFi, and a lovely garden and terrace. It's conveniently situated near popular attractions such as the Wien Westbahnhof Train Station, renowned museums, the Parliament of Austria, and Vienna City Hall.
Great hostel - easy to access via public transport (metro and tram), the street is quiet but the neighbourhood has a lot of bars and shops etc. Spacious rooms with clean bathroom/shower facilities. The courtyard is a nice touch in the summer for sitting outside. Good kitchen facility and friendly staff. Pleasant experience in general, would definitely return.

Great customer service with Petrick. He was welcoming and nice. The beds are comfortable and have privacy curtains. There's no AC but I didn't have any problems sleeping. I did find some trash under my mattress but in general it was clean everywhere. The bathroom is good sized but on my last night there was no hot water left so I had to take a shower in freezing cold water. My rating is 4/5 compared to other hostels I've stayed on my trip.

A perfect haven in the heart of Vienna — clean, calm, and filled with a gentle sense of comfort. Stadtaffe Chic Hostel feels less like a stay and more like a home away from home. This was a truly incredible hostel to stay in! The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and heated (I stayed in the middle of fall as the weather started to get cold), and there were fun events to take part in! The multi-bed dorms were very affordable and the location was perfect to explore the city. I will absolutely be staying here if I ever visit Vienna again! Only thing I could possibly complain about is that sometimes the wifi connection wasn’t excellent in the dorms themselves, but even that was a good thing because it stopped me from staying up so late on my phone. Thank you for making my stay in Vienna so perfect!

Overall quite dirty and uncared for, no place to sit and chill comfortably and the dorms are very badly designed. No proper place to put your stuff...internet connection is also quite poor in the rooms but the worst is that there are not enough toilets, and the toilets in the room don't offer much privacy unfortunately... I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Naschmarkt Deli is a casual eatery located in Vienna's largest outdoor market, offering Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. The market itself boasts over 120 stalls selling fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and international delicacies, as well as numerous bars, vinotheks, and restaurants. Naschmarkt Deli stands out with its small selection of cocktails and weekend DJs. The market is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike due to its diverse offerings and vibrant atmosphere.
I like this restaurant. The food is fresh and tasty. Everyone is friendly and atmosphere is positive.

We were served unwashed boiled eggs, with visible manure on them. The egg spoon was also dirty, with dried bits of something on it. After we asked for a replacement, we were brought cappuccinos without coffee—it was just hot milk. I don't remember ever having a worse experience.

The meals were rather average. The lamb wasn’t good at all. The chicken wrap was nice but the sides were rather average. They could also use a better wine for their spritzer. The staff were friendly but not attentive, for example, we didn’t know they had a meals of the day menu which seemed nice and could have saved us €20.

We stopped here for lunch before continuing our tour through the city, and ordered grilled salmon, lamb skewers, and beef schnitzel. The lamb was quite tender, and there was no trace of the lamb odour (my mom hates the smell and was fine eating this dish). The crust of the schnitzel wasn't very crispy, but the meat was okay. The rice side dish is actually surprisingly good (high praise from an Asian family). We were overall quite happy with the experience.

Hostel
Do Step Inn Central is a relaxed hostel with cozy dorms, a shared lounge, and an industrial-chic kitchen. It's conveniently located within a 20-minute walk of the 19th-century Habsburg Albertina Palace and just 1.8 km from the renowned MuseumsQuartier in Wieden district. The property offers 32 rooms with amenities like work desks and separate toilets. The check-in process involves online check-in and receiving codes for room access.
This is a recommended hostel in Vienna if you are on a tight budget and if you would still like a bit of privacy and be close to the center. It's a bit of potluck which room and bed you get, but each bed is a bit like a Japanese pod and you can have privacy and you can also lock the pod when you go out. Be mindful that this is shared accommodation, so keep any valuables with you (as you would when staying at any hostel). The staff were fantastic! I was initially impressed with the night security guy, who questioned whether I was a guest when I went downstairs to make a cup of tea. They take security seriously here and long-gone are the days when strangers would take advantage of a free place to sleep for the night and take free food from the fridge. I stayed here a few years ago and the situation regarding security has dramatically improved. I asked if I could change beds to 12/1 (the bed you want to book if you are reading this review) and the very helpful female manager on the phone arranged it for me that same day. Bed 12/1 is spacious and you don't have anyone sleeping underneath you. Finally, a big shout out to the cleaning staff - especially the one whom I assume is the manager of the cleaning staff in the white top. She was so warm and friendly and man, they have a lot of work to get done within a short amount of time as a lot of guests just don't give a damn about cleaning up after themselves. The internet is fast, it's safe, the location (for the price) is exceptional, and the staff are angels. One concluding point is that this hostel seems to be especially popular with Asian guests, which means that you don't have to endure loud drinking parties. 10/10. Recommended!

Nice price for what you get, very cheap so ofcourse you don’t expect anything too crazy… I saw a lot of reviews about luggage getting stolen, I don’t think this is a problem if you just leave it in your room.. we stayed here for 3 nights, everything was fine. Showers did their job, beds were fine, the location is very good. Only thing that was a little annoying was that underneath the doors is a very tiny space so when there is a lot of noise on the hallway, you will definitely hear it. I highly recommend this place if you are planning to stay for not too long and wanna travel budget friendly x
Briek A — Google review
The location is probably the best thing about this hostel as it’s right next to the subway and train station. Beware there is absolutely no staff in this hostel other than the cleaner that comes in the morning and no one to help in case something goes wrong. Just an email and phone number. Everything is self done, even putting the bed sheet on your bed. This wasn’t an issue for me but several people struggled to check in and receive their room number and code. The rooms are small, there are no lockers meaning you have to use your bed as a storage space and lock your bed. The beds feel like a coffin as there’s not a lot of space. The bathrooms however are nice and private, the showers are in their own rooms separated from the toilet which is always convenient. The common areas were also cleaned daily.
H — Google review
Worst hostel ever. The sliding door of the bed is super noisy, with the roommates getting in and out of bed&room, I couldn’t sleep at all. The check in instruction wasn’t very clear and there’s no staff on site to support. Be mindful of your belongings, I left my stuff in the common room and went to toilet, when I came back, it’s gone and the girl sitting next to me was gone as well. She must have took it, and there’s no CCTV in common room, the thing she steal wasn’t expensive but it’s very important to me.
Evie H — Google review
Don’t recommend at all First night arrived the room smell terrible. The smelling was so terrible that the towel they provided smelled like a ditch water, which I was no longer sure if the smelling was from other resident or the hostel itself. Second, the shower is half functioning. There was no shower handle nor soup as well. Third, the area is convenient but dodgy. There’s no privacy at all in the common room, which is usually fine in many hostels. But this one is different, you can feel strange people roaming around and stare at you during the night and some of them would just knock on the glass and stare at you, which make me feel unsafe. There’s no reception here, which is usually fine. However, considering all the issues, instead of closing the common space after 12 perhaps night guard is preferable. Anyway this is a cheap hostel, just live somewhere a bit far away from city Centre. The subway and tram is extremely easy to access, it is not worthy to risk yourself and have several terrible night in this lovely city.
張哲睿 — Google review
Great location, right next to the main station. I liked very much the common area, which was really cozy and with a fully equipped kitchen. As for the rooms, I liked the idea of the beds with a door, however, you couldn't lock it from the inside and there was the risk of getting trapped inside. There's no AC in the rooms, only a small fan which is useless given the structure of the beds. On top of that it was unsafe to fully open the window as my room was on the ground flor, so it was quite hot. I also don't remeber seeing any lockers for luggage, so I had to sleep with mine on the bed.
Ovidiu N — Google review
The hostel/hotel has a great location just beside the main train station. The check in and check out process is fully automated so make sure you have enough juice in your phone and you book at least half a day ahead for all the information to be sent to you before you reach the hostel. Very clean showers and toilets and big common area with the open to store luggage.
Sajidul S — Google review
Really great hostel that gives you access to the secure common room to settle in/wait until the check-in time with a very straight forward self check-in system. Common room was kept very clean and the shared fridge/kitchen was kept organised and labelled by everyone. This is a great hostel in an ideal location right next to Südtiroler Platz metro station that takes you right into the city centre. Only negative of my stay was that the rooms don’t have secure storage lockers, so I was forced to keep my bag pack in the cabin whilst sleeping which didn’t have enough space.

Holiday apartment rental
myNext - Johannesgasse Apartments is a well-located accommodation option that provides comfortable private rooms and a range of excellent services. The staff members are known for their exceptional friendliness, although there may be some uncertainty about the availability of air conditioning in the rooms. Guests have noted that opening windows for ventilation during warm weather can result in sound carrying, potentially impacting privacy.
Stayed here with my parents in a 2 bedroom apartment in September and I could not find any faults. The rooms were very comfortable, spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast was delicious (very good coffee!). Also the wifi is incredibly fast! The location is perfect for exploring Vienna by foot and I believe the hotel also offers bicycles for rent (that we didn't use).

There was no air conditioner and the parking was far away. Also the breakfast could have been improved with a menu so that we can clearly browse the food options. The staff were also very joyful! The room service could have been improved.

On the booking we asked the hotel staff for late checkout at 7pm and they approved, also after coming to check in they approved the late check out. After we settled in a different room than what we ordered (with less facilities and without view as described in booking: parking instead of garden view, no kitchen or microwave and twin bed instead of queen size bed) they sent us a WhatsApp message during the night that we have to leave the room before 12, and cancelled our late checkout. This changed our entire plans and only the day after they said we can stay until 13, which wasn’t useful.

No A/C, the rooms are hot in the summer. Staff at the reception kind of annoyed. The card terminal did not work, so cash only. Parking is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfasts ok, but nothing special. Comfy mattresses. Good location

Well, this is a hostel, not a hotel. Traveling with a family of 5 I expected much more than a simple place to lay down. The rooms are very basic, with bed, closet and kitchen with kettle and a stove-top. The "Family Room" is actually two rooms with a shared area for kitchen and bathroom. The staff was nice and the location is amazing. Still, I was so disappointed with this hotel that we booked another one instead and moved out after the first night. If you are group of teenagers, sure, this might be the place for you. If you look for some comfort other than being in the city center, you could probably find a better place to stay in. We ended up going to another hotel slightly farther away, not much more expensive but with amazing rooms.

Stayed there for 2 nights and it was great. Perfect location, clean rooms and very friendly & useful staff. Only downside is there is no temperature control whatsoever - no A/C or fan of any sort. Some nights can get quite hot cause of that. There are scooters available for rent - I recommend renting them for at least a day - price is reasonable at $14 and is extremely useful for navigating around.

We stayed in a very nice and absolutely clean 3 bedroom apt. on 26/8/2018 for just one day but loved the ambiance of the hotel. The staff (receptionist) was so helpful, warm and welcoming and made sure to give us an idea of places to visit and how to get there. Location too was very nice. Space Home Hostel - City Hall is a striking building located in the heart of Vienna, known for its neo-Gothic style and impressive facade. The hostel is situated near the Vienna Undertakers Museum, which showcases over 600 curiosities related to Viennese funeral traditions dating back to the 18th century. Visitors can also admire the bronze statue of the iron town hall man on the middle tower of the city hall.
For a quick tour, first time stay in vienna its an awesome place. Placed perfectly, and quite unique as a stay. Its great for backpackers and students but also couple since the capsule can be locked. The washrooms were clean and plenty room for storage. The owner was so sweet to let me leave luggage even after check out. P.S: when i stayed, the people around me were nice and quiet😂 so it could easily be my luck that i loved the stay. Its well lit inside the capsule and air conditioned with personal tv
Ikshitha C — Google review
The apartment is very central and very practical for a short stay in Vienna. It is also good that it is not overcrowded with 10 sleeping cabins. The cabins are made of plastic material and you can hear every step. The mattress lies on a wooden board which is placed on the frame of the cabin. This creates gaps and you have to be careful that no small objects of value fall out of the cabin through the mattress at the edges of the bed. There are therefore an enormous number of items under the cabin and the house dust under the mattress is not a pleasant experience for people with allergies. The shower is quite modern, but the floor is always wet as there is no floor mat. There is no toilet brush in the toilets, which is why they are always shitty and smelly after a few hours. The location is air-conditioned. The doors of the cabins sometimes squeak and when the door is closed, it gets really warm very quickly. There is ventilation in the cabin, but unfortunately it doesn't do much. I would recommend it if you need to stay cheaply for a short time. It was okay for that.

A Nightmare Stay: Avoid This Place at All Costs. From the moment I arrived, my experience at Space Home was a disaster. Upon "check-in", I discovered my capsule has been occupied, with used towel, linens and pillow. I was definitely not going to sleep in that place so I occupied another empty capsule. Even though I wrote to let them know about the issue, since it was pass their attention time, I received a response until next morning. The following night, I was subjected to the disturbing sounds of a couple engaging in explicit activity directly above me. But the true low point came when I discovered my money had been stolen from the locker provided by the hostel, their only supposed security measure. The locks were clearly malfunctioning, leaving my belongings vulnerable. When I attempted to address these serious issues with the hostel, they completely ignored my concerns, demonstrating a blatant disregard for their guests' safety and well-being. I strongly advise anyone considering this hostel to look elsewhere. This place is a disgrace to the hospitality industry.
Fernanda P — Google review
The concept is cool, but the reality could be improved. It's effectively a slightly more private 10-16 bed dorm with doors for your bunk that can be closed. Pros: cheap, central, doors that close, tv + headphones in your pod, the room has air conditioning, and a (tiny) towel is provided. Cons: poor ventilation for the room (can get quite humid/smelly), towel is far too small, nowhere to hang the towel to dry, the doors for the capsules are very loud, the lights around the buttons are very bright at night (can't turn them off), no floor mats for showers, capsules are stacked so sounds/movements are very obvious. Lastly, it's a dorm so your experience will depend on how respectful the other people are. Tip: put your towel on a coat hanger from one of the lockers then hang your towel from the mirror to block the button lights at night.

For just €64 you too could spend the night in a dirty sweat-smelling box! The extortionate cost of accommodation in Vienna should be the only reason you consider staying here- and even then, if you’re open to a bed in a shared dorm, there are better options. The small shop front-like space stank of stale sweat. There was no ventilation. The bed sheet was dirty. There is no sink in the only female toilet. The towel provided is smaller than a face towel and there is nowhere to hang it to dry. There is no drinking water tap available. Despite being advertised as “secure,” the capsule I stayed in did not lock. I was gaslit over instant messaging via the Booking.com app and even sent a photo of the non-existent lock. No solution was offered. It is a mixed dorm. As a solo female traveller, I consider this the biggest failing. The smell and lack of cleanliness aside, the lack of safety is appalling. Booking.com should cut all ties with this host.

Interesting experience, liked it. The mattress are really thin and people over 195cm tall don't fit comfortably in the capsule. Bathrooms could be organized better. Located in a busy area, easy public transport.

2 reasons for booking this place - the unique pod experience and the proximity to city centre. While budget accommodation can be difficult to find closer to Innere Stadt, this was a hidden gem. I think it was value for money. The pods were a fun experience, spacious enough for 2 people without causing discomfort, the amenities too were good. Clean sheets, good Wifi, adequate washrooms and heating. Now, for a matter of personal preferences - 1) it can get loud(especially when opening and closing the pod). Incase someone snores, you hear it. They open their pod, you are awoken. There is a late checkin, there's going to be noise. 2) Some pods did not work, we noticed another couple simply used another pod because theirs did not light-up upon using their card. If the above is something you can manage, I do recommend it for the unique experience and the chance to be in one of the main districts of Wien.

The hostel was super clean, very creative and a good place to stay in Vienna at affordable prices. However our capsule did not lock and there was no one at the hostel to help solve the issue. The number given was also not reachable.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The location is perfect — close to everything yet quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and pleasant stay. Thank you for making my trip so special!

We stayed at Forty+One in Vienna from June 22–24. The hotel is new, modern, and beautifully designed. Our room was clean, the bed was super duper comfortable, and perfect for a couple’s stay. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, and the location is excellent, it’s very close to bus stops, and within 10 minutes you’re in the city center, which made exploring Vienna super easy. Unfortunately, our experience was slightly clouded by an issue with our booking. Our original flight was delayed several times and then canceled, so we had to stay overnight at an airport hotel and arrived at Forty+One the next morning instead. When we explained the situation at check-in, the receptionist was very understanding and reassured us that we would get a refund for the missed night. However, the next day she told us her boss decided not to issue the refund because we booked through Booking.com. Instead, they offered us free breakfast, which normally costs around €14 per person. She told us this on the second day of our stay, which only left us with that day and our departure day to use it..so it didn’t really make up for the cost of the lost night. To be honest, the breakfast didn’t have much variation or options, so it wasn’t a real compensation for losing a whole night we couldn’t use. We completely understand that some hotels have strict policies, but this felt disappointing since the cancellation was completely out of our control. It would have been nice if they could have met us halfway. Despite this, Forty+One is a beautiful, new hotel in a great location with kind staff and a comfortable atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Just be mindful of the booking terms if your travel plans might change unexpectedly.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel 40+1. The conditions were excellent — the room was spacious and bright, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The mattress was soft, like sleeping on a cloud. Breakfast was great, especially if you prefer healthy options: ham, eggs (both boiled and scrambled), fresh vegetables, coffee, and tea — everything you need to start the day right. The location is also very convenient, just a 3-minute walk to the metro that goes directly to the city center. Overall, I can highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

The hotel location is accessible via metro easily, but if you are a spotive person you can have a nice walk towards the center and feel the city! The room was clean, new and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. 🌷

Great hotel in Vienna with an excellent location close to the city center. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the service is outstanding, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The best part is that the hotel is pet-friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Staff was friendly but it was very hard for them to check in 8 people. Rooms look nice and modern but when you look closer, it is not so good. Our bathroom sink was broken, flooded the bathroom. Asked at the reception to fix it, when we came back, it wasn't fixed and woke up with a puddle on the bathroom floor. Badly designed bathroom. When you take a shower half of the bathroom is in water. Twin beds were too soft, it was hard to move in. Left my watch to charge at night, turns out the socket doesn't work. Also could hear toilets flushing. My team members also had problems with their rooms. Nice courtyard to hang out in!

HI Hostel Vienna Brigittenau & Brigittenau Youth Palace is a functional hostel with a garden, restaurant, and lounges. It offers free breakfast and Wi-Fi. The hostel provides mixed and female-only dorms as well as various-sized private rooms. Guests can save money by using the simple kitchen to prepare meals. The location on the edge of a forest allows for outdoor activities while still being easily accessible to Vienna city center via subway.
Kind people, perfect service for a hostel. It was like a hotel- rooms, breakfast(extra cost but worthy),cleaning and everything was soo good. We booked it from booking.com and they replied every questions about hostel. We had special rooms which has only two beds, there was no slippers to have for free but you can buy it(I think this was the only thing that we can separate it from a hotel) By the way they gave us a card, we stayed there for three nights and four was left for one free or sale-price of a night thing, that's cool 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻 It felt like I have to go again and stay the left four nights to get one free night 😂 And the biggest advantage is there was only 2 minutes to local train station, you can easly go everywhere you want

Very nice budget hostel. Clean and cosy. Helpful staff. They even upgraded my booking to single room, of course I paid more, but reasonably. Very good location if you want to go for festival on Donauinsel - walking distance about 20-25 minutes

Everything was pretty clean, the stuff is friendly, the food is fresh and the place itself is great for the money we paid comparable to the Vienna rent prices, I was a little bit afraid after I saw the Google Maps rating, but gladly didn't face any of the problems some people wrote about My main complain was mainly about the socket too far away from the bed 😄 There are USB-A types of connectors near, but unfortunately we had only USB-C with us, so take it in consideration if it's important for you. The light in the personal toilet should be replaced probably, and would be nice to have at least a small bottle of shampoo. The location is pretty far from the center, BUT it's close to the tram station that we used all the time, so not a big deal as well

The hostel is averagely nice the beds are comfortable and the food is also good. Howwits quite far from the city centre, but with tram you get to the city center in a short time.

Student center at one side and hostel on the other. Great value for money but set your expectations from start. You will get spacious room with clean sheets and towels but it is not hotel, so do not expect luxury. Staff is great, very friendly and really helpful. Information from them which comes is great and full of helpful information from the online checkout to the expectation setting. It is 30ish minutes from the city center - using a tram no. 2 you will easily reach main city points. Decent breakfast is included in the price - coffee, tea, juices, boiled eggs, few cereal options, few deli products and cheeses, bread options, jam, honey and nutella. They have for 9.5 EUR lunch and dinner. We took one dinner and it was good - soup, two main meal options, salads and dessert. Parking is available in their garage for 14 EUR per day and it was good deal for us.

Great simple hostel but a long walk from city center. Luckily not far from a quick S Bahn to the main station if you are traveling with a Eurail pass.

I have stayed here since no hotel was available or they raised their prices three times for some stupid pop concert. The hostel in general is very good, in those rooms on the top floor (the most expensive ones) you have the experience of almost a normal hotel. The only really worrying issue is that you can't open the windows, they have them locked and only the employees who clean the rooms can open them for a couple of minutes a day. I read this already in several reviews and unfortunately it is true. The room smelled a bit funky and needs fresh air more often and for longer periods of time. An employee told me that once a child fell and killed himself and since then (for safety reasons they say) the windows cannot be opened anymore. It's stupid that because of one stupid child and/or his stupid parents we all have to pay the price forever, no idea when this happened but it's not fair that all the other guests should have to suffer not having fresh air because of the negligence of others. The environmental excuse is a lie because it makes no sense. I also noticed on some of the staircases that have anti-suicide screens, that for example, doesn't affect anyone. Maybe they should put a screen or something on the windows of the upper floors, since prohibiting us from breathing fresh air is almost like a crime. For that reason alone I wouldn't go back.

Hostel
Meininger is a modern hotel that offers bright rooms and dorms with free Wi-Fi, as well as a lobby bar and a game room. It's conveniently located within walking distance from the central station and close to a metro station for easy access to downtown. The hotel provides comfortable accommodations at an affordable price, making it ideal for urban travelers and students. The spacious and well-equipped rooms, along with the kind staff who speak great English, create a pleasant stay experience.
I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at Meininger. It was walking distance from the central station (~10 minutes), a block away from a metro station to get to downtown (which was about a 10 min metro ride), and a block away from a large shopping strip with a lot of food options. The only downside was there was no lockers in the rooms for valuables. I'm not sure if there were lockers available in the main floor area or not, we didn't check. It felt like a pretty safe atmosphere though. The rooms were spacious and clean. My friend and I were in a 6 bed mixed dorm, and the room also had a private shower and toilet connected to the room. The beds were also probably the most comfortable hostel bed I slept in during my trip. There is breakfast offered, but fairly expensive, we were able to find cheaper options close by. There is also a laundry facility around the corner as well, but it was a fairly expensive load of laundry. The front office staff was also very helpful with any questions we had. The wifi actually worked well too - from the lobby up to our room on the 3rd floor. Overall, I would recommend this hostel!

The worst hotel I ever stayed at. Not only the check in time 15:00 is late but when I got there after 15:00 the receptionist, which could've been kinder, told me that I have to wait because there was some issue with the computer. They could've at least offered a complimentary drink while I was waiting considering how hot it was. When they checked me in they gave me a dirty room. I had to go back and ask for another and the second one was dirty as well. Finally the third time was a clean room but it still wasn't properly cleaned. The staff wasn't very professional. The hotel needs to invest in more resources to prep their staff better. The breakfast wasn't worth 7.50€ at all. Not much choice of food. And the juice was definitely not juice. Tasted like colored water. This hotel charges as if it was a 4 stars hotel but offers the service of a hostel. The manager is not doing a great job at running this hotel, thus the low score on many booking sites. The only thing I appreciated is that it's only 10 minutes away from central station and if that wasn't enough, there's a subway station right at the corner of the block that will take you to downtown in 5 minutes. The neighborhood the hotel is situated in has plenty of shops, restaurants, food stands, etc.

Decent hotel. On pricy side - possibly due to a higher demand around New Year - from 28 dec Basic furniture. Metal lockers to put clothes away. Disappointing that we got all single beds - family of 5. We’ve got one extra bed but could not be used as it was broken. It was Friday afternoon when we arrived. When we reported it to the Reception we were told nothing can be done as the maintenance guy was due to come on Monday. I understand that this was not an urgency but still it should have been handled differently. Breakfast was good. Really fresh bread rolls, Nice variety, some cold meats, cheese, fresh vegetables, fruit yogurt etc. good coffee. 3 * is fair rating. Good location due to the vicinity of U1.

Very friendly/helpful staff. Good price and close to train station. I liked that they have a phone for guest use. Their common kitchen could use some work - wasn't very clean, clean cups were all dirty inside. No sink so had to take kettle to bathroom to fill, which is gross. Could use lockable storage lockers in dorms as well.

My experience in this hostel was pretty good: our rooms were spacious enough for six people (with two bunk beds and two single beds), but just one of the two bathrooms had a sink, so it was really uncomfortable for everyone to get ready! I had a previous experience in another Meninger Hostel, where everyone had a room key, but this time our group had just two keys, which was again, pretty uncomfortable. The food was good and I had the opportunity to try new things (and there were lactose-free and vegetarian options). The staff was so welcoming though, and the hostel is located in a shopping street, with shops and fast food restaurants, and that's a really good point!

I only was here for one night. I arrived late and left early so I didn't have a whole experience there to be honest. Great bedrooms and bathrooms, comfortable bed, relax and quite. I couldn't get a nice sleep there because my roommates were really noise. A couple arrived really late and where dragging around their suitcases and the guy besides me snored all night long really loudly. But this is not the hostel's fault. Regarding the hostel: they provide you enough to really get a nice sleep there, I just had bad luck. Staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast was ok, first I thought it was overpriced. But then I realized that the whole Wien is overpriced. I stayed in another hostel in Wien and they offered a cheaper breakfast but this one was a little bit better. I also had breakfast outside (ULRICH) and it was extremely overpriced, so prices in Wien are the problem not this hostel.
Ezequiel M — Google review
I chose this hotel due to its location near the central train station. Moreover it's very close to a metro station from where you can reach the city center easily and fast. Affordable. We had also breakfast which was good enough. The room was big, beds were good. Just the shower panels were broken so you couldn't really slide them and they didn't give a good or clean impression.
Victoria M — Google review
This hotel is really convenient for urban trevelers. I've stayed in 6 beds women dormitory and it was great. Also the price is really low (hence perfect for students). The rooms are spacious, well-equiped and pretty clean. Staff was kind and they speak great English. Only thing I've missed was socket nearby the bed and bedside lamp. I've enjoyed the stay and I would recommend this hotel.

HI Hostel Vienna Myrthengasse is a top choice for budget travelers seeking a hassle-free stay in Vienna. The hostel offers transparent pricing with no hidden charges, making it an affordable option for visitors. Guests can enjoy the expansive gardens and cozy common rooms equipped with cable TV. While the rooms are well-maintained, guests are required to handle their own bedding. The friendly staff and convenient location near public transportation add to the appeal of this hostel.
A pleasant surprise (genuinely confused about the bad reviews). Very clean, spacious rooms including a table, wardrobe and cupboards for each bed. No curtains but not a huge deal. Breakfast included in the very fair price. They have toilets out in the hallway (i prefer this). Weird but great, the floor is laminate or something tough so no creating floorboards as people walk around. Well located and one bus (13a) will get you direct from the main station to a street away.

The room was pretty standard but the shower was very claustrophobic. The bed linens were new which is a good thing but the room with six people had only one power outlet. The breakfast was quite normal. A load of washing clothes costs whopping 12 Euros!
Taizeem — Google review
I think for the price and everything it offers it’s worth it!! Me and my friend were in a room of 6 people. The sheets were clean, packed in a plastic bag. The shower is a bit narrow but enough to do your thing . Just have your own soap shampoo etc. Worth it!. Breakfast is okay, could be a bit better to be honest . Basic stuff There are a lot of bars close. It’s a safe district as well
Stamatis S — Google review
A decent place. Location is a bit far off from main attractions but still at walkable distance. Rooms are decent with bathroom inside the room. Breakfast spread is good. Content with my stay. I absolutely loved the wall covered with plants.
Rohit J — Google review
Solid budget stay in a great location - walking distance to the Museum Quarter, trams, and bars. The common areas have a nice student-hostel energy, and breakfast was surprisingly good for the price (proper Viennese rolls and coffee that actually wakes you up). Critique: Only one working outlet near the beds (and outdated USB ports), and you make your own beds like you’re back in school camp - but that’s part of the charm if you’re not expecting luxury. Tip: Perfect if you’re out exploring all day and just need a clean, social base to crash. Bring a travel adapter and a power bank.

First of all, I didn't come with the highest expectations considering the cheap prices. The check in process was okay after my third email with my ID photo resulted in getting the check in code. Some positive aspects: the garden with the tables is really cute and has potential! And the WiFi worked really well. Unfortunately, my private room and the common areas were neglected and give a sort of dirty student house vibe. My room had not been vacuumed and the carpet was dirty. The floor in the toilet was sticky and there was no soap (just shampoo). I did not feel welcome or particularly safe. Overall: this could be a great place with some friends if you really need a cheap place + want to use the kitchen & party room more. For other people, I'd recommend just paying a bit more for exponentially better service.
Charlotte L — Google review
Before arriving, we received a sketchy email telling us to pay for the room in advance, or the room wouldn't be booked for us. The IBAN looked real so I made the payment, but the email did not look professional at all and didn't even mention the amount to pay, which I had to calculate myself. Upon arriving, there is no staff, or at least we didn't see any, as the reception was closed all the time. The check-in is like a self-service where you have to look for your keys yourself, and the luggage storage is completely unsupervised. Fortunately there is a code at the front door to ensure that not everybody gets in but it did not feel secured. It seems to work without a proper reception as you receive all the info by email, but it doesn't feel welcoming. I stayed in both a private bedroom and a dorm. In the private room, the bed was clean but I found trash under the bed and the floor didn't look particularly clean. There was no window, which makes it hard to ventilate, and I wonder how the room can be kept clean and hygenic this way. I had to open the corridor window and the door to the room to have some fresh air when arriving. The room was calm though, which we appreciated, and the kitchen was fine and rather clean for a hostel. There was no trashcan anywhere, in the room or bathroom, which is very unpractical. In the dorm, the beds were clean as well, with a curtain for privacy. There was no heating in the room even if it was snowing outside so we were freezing. There were lockers available, but not large enough to put a suitcase, and no place to store the suitcases. The lockers were open but had locks on them that couldn't be removed or opened, so we couldn't store our things safely. There was only one shower (and the water was cold), one sink and one toilet in the room for 12 people! The light in the toilet didn't work so we had to use a flashlight. It also doesn't feel very hygenic to have to brush your teeth right next to the only toilet for 12 people. Overall, it was well enough to sleep and the beds were fine, but that's about it, the amenities were rather unpractical apart from the kitchen. My stay there was alright but I don't feel like going back.
Valentine J — Google review
This would really be a nice and beautiful hostel if it weren't that uncared for. We stayed in a private room for two days and when we arrived the room hadn't been cleaned. The bed had clearly been slept in and had hairs in it, a used towel was laying around. There was a sweatshirt left in one of the drawers which was smelling disgustingly of sweat. One of the window hinges was broken so the window was a bit loose and let cool air in. Apart from that underneath the bed had not been cleaned for ages. Toilet paper had rarely been there and was sparcely restocked. The reception isn't open, which I understand had probably been a measure due to the pandemic but now it just seems lazy as the lady who runs this place is incredibly unreliable to reach. Never responds to calls and emails take weeks. We were really disappointed.
Julia E — Google review
The place itself is not bad. Great atmosphere, young people. The place wasn't dirty but not spotless as well. There's no service and I got know that only after I booked. I booked 4 nights, but couldn't stay even one night: the rooms are not sealed and there's no heating. The room was freezing cold. There's no point to complain because there's nobody there and they don't respond to complain by email.
Meni B — Google review
We arrived , reception was closed. We could not find the key in the check in box. We had to look through check out box to find our assigned room. When we opened the room it has not been cleaned. This was at 5:30pm , the check in opens at 3pm. When we called the number of the hostel manager they were helpful and promised to come there asap to clean the room. Their helpfulness is the only reason i am giving two stars. At the end the room was cleaned. We talked to some other tenants and many had the same issue. Really unprofessional and unreliable. And such a waste because the place is actually aesthetically pleasing.
Gee B — Google review
Really affordable hostel! I was a bit nervous at first that it was too good to be true with the price. I read some things that this district is not the best part of town, but honestly it was quite quiet and very close to beautiful buildings and cafes (I recommend felzl backereicafe, about an 8 minute walk!). I felt very safe. It's also close to some student-geared nightlife. Bring a lock that can fit around a school locker, as that is the best place to store belongings. Doors do not lock unless you're in a private room. I started in a 12 bed before my friends came and it was very clean and comfortable, especially with curtains on every bed. Each bed also came with a towel. When my friends arrived we moved to an excellent, massive 4 bedroom private room that even had a lounge area. Bathrooms and showers were just outside the door, and sometimes we ran out of toilet paper and had to go exploring for more, but apart from that it was a great experience. Pretty sound proof hostel. WIFI is quite slow in some areas unfortunately. There is still no reception but that was never a problem. They were very responsive over email. Overall, I'll be recommending this hostel to friends - thanks for a great stay!
Sam H — Google review
The room in which I and my friend stayed was really cozy, neat and comfortable and the location of the hostel was good as well since there are several stores nearby and the metro station is close as well. However we were pretty disappointed in terms of the services and the reception. We were asked to send via an email photos of our IDs and certificates, we sent them the previous day but we didn't get a reply. We asked whether someone would be there when we would arrive there and still no reply but we didn't really worry. We arrived around 8.30pm, nobody was in the reception and we had no password to get into the hostel. We called multiple times but apparently they ignored us. We were lucky that my friend's uncle lives in Austria so he called them, they probably saw the Austrian phone number and answered immediately. The other quests also said that any of the hosts hardly ever appears in the hostel.. At the end of the day we had a nice accommodation since we finally got the passwords but of course, we never saw anyone from the hosts. In any other case, I would highly recommend it, however be prepared for an incident like this..

Be Free- Hostel is a well-located accommodation in Vienna, with a convenient proximity to the city center and public transportation. Visitors have praised its cleanliness, including the rooms and kitchen facilities. While some guests noted small room sizes and suggested improvements such as providing basic cooking ingredients and fans for summer months, overall it offers good value for money. The hostel's location allows easy access to restaurants, bars, cafes, clubs, and public transport options within walking distance.
Interesting concept with code. Beds are like capsules and they are comfortable. Clean hostel too. My experience was positive.

I've stayed in a lot of hostels and shared dorm rooms. I did not like the keyless QR code access to the rooms (and beds!) In this hostel. It was not user friendly and did not work for us half of the time. My phone dies regularly and it was added stress thay I wouldn't be able to get into my room without it, and the reception was a city block away from my room. I would recommend this hostel move to a regular card key system. The fact that we could be locked into our beds was also unsettling. The rooms could have been cleaner, especially if you looked in the corners of the bed and the dorm room.

Earplugs are a must, unfortunately. People were slamming doors in the hallway all night. Even though we had a room upstairs, the sounds from the kitchen downstairs were too loud. The echoes are simply too loud. I recommend it for one night, as it's cheap. However, we didn't manage to get much sleep there ☹️. Despite this, the kitchen is nice and well-maintained, and the rooms and bathrooms are clean.

Positives: this place is very close to the Westbanhof station and Lidl and other Street dining areas. Showers and toilets: sufficient in number and clean. Negatives: 1. Check in : We had to go to another place to contact the receptionist in-person. They said there would be a QR sent over email but there was none. The website link mentioned at the door also does not load at all 2. Rooms: Some are right on the street, hence noisy. Rooms are veyyy small and might feel claustrophobic.

My friend and I stayed in Vienna for 3 nights and were looking for a reasonable priced accommodation. Being located close to public transport and having many supermarkets close by, we chose the two bed room in this hostel. Despite the other reviews, we liked our stay: the facilities were super clean and the QR code reader worked really well after checking in online. It is true that the towels are rather small but good enough for a couple of nights I would say. I personally would recommend this hostel. If you have any issues, you can always go to the reception in Step Do Step Inn down the road. They are happy to assist you.

I am currently in the hostel and everything seems beautiful. I had some problems getting online registration, but when I contacted them, they were very good. When I went to the hotel’s office, since the office is in a different place than the hotel building, they had prepared the paper with the registration code because there were problems with registration. The hostel is nice and quiet, but I could not get the Wi-Fi network code. I think that is the only difficult thing, and everything is very, very beautiful.

Very good location, near to the metro. Convenient to move around Vienna. The capsule was comfortable and I can rest and sleep without any disruption at all.

Great stay near Westbahnhof. Exceptionally clean and well organized. All you need is a QR. I must say I was impressed by the quality, yet again, and annoyed by some loud people during the night. Same old, same old!

Labyrinth Hostels Seven is a budget-friendly hostel with mixed-gender dorms and private rooms. The hostel features a shared kitchen and stands out with its neon maze signage at the entrance. It offers affordable bunk accommodations in close proximity to Vienna's attractions such as Hofburg Palace, the Opera, and Albertina, making it an ideal choice for travelers looking for convenience and value.
Hostel is nice and clean. Check in and out was easy enough for me, although I did see the lady at reception being quite rude to another guest checking in. The kitchen consists of only a microwave and kettle, and there is a lack of personal touch. Also, the power outlets aren't near the beds. Not the worst location, and is in walking distance to a high street and a few bars and cafes. Edit - They cancelled my booking after I checked out so as to not let me leave a review on hostelworld too, this is a strange decision and has changed my review to 1* now

Hostel has two and really only two selling points; it's cheap and it is in a good location. Other than that though it is very basic and not a comfortable place to stay. The rooms were super cramped and had no external window meaning it was very stuffy/hot at night, honestly it could become very unpleasant. The showers and toilets were basic but OK, the kitchen had no cooking facilities not even a toaster. The WiFi was slow and there was no area to stay in after checkout
Humbers — Google review
The hostel has a great location and it was cheap. Inside the kitchen there aren't cooker and oven, but there is a microwave. We arrived later, 30m more than 23h and there wasn't anyone in the reception and no one answered the messages and calls. We had to sleep in other hostel. So don't arrive more than 23h, because no one there will care about you.
Jadiel M — Google review
I've stayed in worse: the average review rating is unfair. Sure, the reception is not in the same building as the rooms, the WiFi bad and there is no air con. Ultimately though the shower and toilets were clean and worked; the beds were comfortable and the location is great. If you can't find a better place for the price it will be fine.
Adam H — Google review
I tend to think of this hostel as one of the worst hostels we stayed in during our month-long trip round Europe. The staff seemed unfriendly, perhaps even hostile, to us from the offset, splitting one member of our group off from the rest of us for no apparent reason. Then, later, we returned from a day out to find a complete stranger lying on his bed, apparently having been assigned the same bed. The 'room', as others have pointed out, is essentially an open-plan hallway with 24 beds in it. There is very little privacy as you have to walk through other rooms to get anywhere in the facility. The bathroom facilities are average at best and dangerous at worst, with one of our group falling over in the shower due to a poorly designed floor. The kitchen may as well not exist given how poorly equipped it is. Perhaps the only redeeming features are the ample supply of electrical outlets and plentiful lockers provided (bring your own lock, though). Doable if you're a group of young travellers with a 'make-do' attitude but I would not rush back to Hostel Seven.
Tom P — Google review
Stay away from it! We stayed there for two nights and booked a 10 bed dorm, we ended up in a room with 8 beds but without doors or windows and just next to another dorm... in total we were like 26 people in a dorm. Our "room" was the first to enter so everybody arriving later would walk right through our dorm. It was really noisy and bathrooms were not really clean. We booked two nights but found one of our beds taken by another person in the second night, two other beds were without sheets and there was only one new set of sheets! We told them in the morning but the staff did not really care. All in one a bad experience! You can find better places for the same price!
Viola S — Google review
The actual accommodation is located around a 5 minute walk from the reception. Like previous reviews have said, beds are split into groups of 7 with showers and toilets shared between them. The beds are comfortable, though you are required to put the bedsheets on yourself. The showers and toilet facilities are fine and the wifi works well. The staff at reception are friendly and helpful, though the cleaner is a little tetchy. You should be aware of the long list of 'offences' such as using as sleeping without bedsheets and wsshing clothes in sinks as they can try to fine you for them. Overall, it's a very basic hostel that does the job for a cheap price.
Ben N — Google review
Average hostel well located close to the city centre and literally in front of a ubahn station. The rooms are alright with 4 double bunk beds, although a bit packed. Drawbacks are that it was a 3rd floor without elevator and that there were only 2 restrooms for too many people. Apart from that the service was nice and helpful.

Porzellaneum Hotelbetriebsges.mbH is a budget-friendly hotel with an excellent location, within walking distance to many attractions and public transport. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for places to visit. The hotel offers comfortable rooms with good amenities such as WiFi and a shared lounge area with table tennis. However, some guests noted that the men's shower lacks privacy due to its open layout.
perfect for a place to put your head down after a day in the city. cheap, clean and the staff are great. no frills, but better than a hostel
Gareth C — Google review
I stayed at the hotel for a couple of days. What I liked was that I didn't have to wait for the check-in time and my room was ready a few hours before. Good staff. The furniture in the room and the room itself look very bad and old, but the bed is new and very clean room. Shower and toilet on the floor, but the price and location of the hotel are excellent. So for me, it was also a small adventure of living in a dorm.
Helena L — Google review
Rooms, sinks, toilets, showers, and many other things need repairment/renovation. For example the sink in the room barely functions. At least they can paint the rooms.
Ozgen Y — Google review
Not recommend, you pay a lot of money for small old dirty room in cellar. Old furniture, dirty place. Service is not kind, treat you as students who are living there - disrespectful. Vibe of jail more than hostel/ dorm.
Patrycja P — Google review
Honestly one of the worst hotels/dorms I've ever stayed in, and I don't say this lightly. I mean the little court is a nice touch but the rest was aweful. Like firstly just a detail that people looking to book here ought to know, there isn't an elevator, which I understand not everywhere can get a elevator, but just something to look out for if you traveling with an leg injury. Now the overall hygiene of the place was very disappointing: first of all it is a common bathroom and toilet, which in a lot of places isn't a problem but here it's actually shameful: I stayed on the second floor, the toilets were constantly leaking and didn't feel very clean... The shower room also is just in such a bad state, it's a common shower room with a couple of showers , and I resented having to wash myself there. They was mold on the ceiling and walls, the smell was horrible, shower heads were broken, and you couldn't properly control the temperature of the water... As for the rooms it's not much better, there is a sink in the room, but when I arrived flies were coming out of the sink... Also the beds are incredibly uncomfortable and make quite a bit of noise every time you move. For the lights it's not ideal, so the main lights are controlled by a lightswitch by the door. Secondly there is some spaces for tube lights over the bed and the desk, I was missing one of those lights over my bed and one over the desk, and I also must warn they are not put it stable. They easily fall if you press the button a bit too hard... The room does get very hot, and without any kind of fan or anything it gets even more uncomfortable... Also about housekeeping, they will just enter the room without warning, and since there is no like signs you can put to not be disturbed... I came home late after going to a club so slept till like 11am where I was woken up by housekeeping just barging in.
Thomas B — Google review
The location is really nice. Pretty fast to get to the museums near city center. The room, and hostel in general, is pretty clean and doesn't smell. But I'm giving only 3 stars because of the most basic things I expect from a hostel, no matter how cheap it is, is a working wifi connection. In my case, in a room on the first floor, the connection was extremely slow, if I could connect at all. There were so many disconnections that I chose to use my mobile data. Also, the man's bathroom on the second floor is missing several shower heads.
Gustavo P — Google review
Stayed for one night in a double room with twin beds, which we booked as private. The corridors were a little noisy even at night, probably because the rooms don't have a bathroom so people have to walk to it. Said bathroom is not cleaned often, perhaps once a day or so. There was not much noise from the street outside, with the exception of a piano playing almost all day long (not bad at all). The room was good enough for what we paid. The hotel is close to supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants and tram stops, but also at walking distance from the city center (20 mins). The staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. Worth to stay for one or two nights if you're on a budget.

Good: - excellent location, walking distance to many attractions and public transport very handy - close to supermarkets and restaurants - friendly, helpful staff - WiFi worked very well on our first floor room - great shared lounge area with table tennis, lots of tables, couches - laundry €3.5 washing, drying free - comfortable room with good desk and view of street Not so good: - men's shower has 6 shower heads in a single open room, no lock on the door! No curtain or any divider between showers, hope you enjoy getting close with strangers. Also, only 1/6 shower heads were working. - have to ask reception staff to access the fridge, which is kept in a locked room. - cigarette smoke from courtyard often fills the corridors. - the beds are insanely creaky. All-night symphony of squeaking and groaning (we had single beds) - no kitchen Overall we enjoyed our stay due to convenience and affordability.

Hostel & Guesthouse Kaiser 23 is a laid-back and dog-friendly accommodation located just 2.1 km from St. Charle's Baroque Church and 3 km from Vienna city centre. The rooms offer amenities such as WiFi, a dressing area, and a work desk, making it comfortable for every guest. While it may not be the best place to meet other travelers due to shared bathrooms and showers, the accommodations are very clean and provide comfy robes.
The service really good, the place is really nice, well located and friendly people. The breakfast good, the internet so fast no problem. Maps available on reception, printer and TV. The service 24 hours and call for a taxi so much help. Thanks, we loved the stay in Kaiser. Hope to see you soon. Nancy. PD: From Costa Rica.

It's a nice place to stop if you are in a hurry and/or you're a budget traveler. Not the kind of hostel you want to stay in if you are looking to meet others (that wasn't my goal, so it was fine with me). Shared bathrooms and showers can be a minor inconvenience--but they provide comfy robes to combat this. I also appreciated that the accommodations were very clean!
Simi O — Google review
Hostel Kaiser is great, if you don't mind sleeping on the floor. The location was amazing, as it was both a close walk from one of the main train stations and the main shopping street and the museumquartier. The food in the nearby area was awesome, the lounge area was definitely satisfactory, and the bathrooms and rooms were nearly spotless. My only issue with the guesthouse were the bedbugs that plagued my mattress. I woke after the first morning, my feet and legs covered in bedbug bites, much to my surprise. However, other than this, Hostel Kaiser was excellent.

A good hostel. The staffs are nice and helpful and the room is clean and tidy. However I found that some lamps in the common area, for example in the toilet and at the corridor, were out of order for 2 days without notification. It caused a little inconvenience to us. Besides, this is a good hostel I'm willing to stay here in the future.

Very good and professional hostel. next to church where nuns used to live. very professional setup with small details looked at like website, internet, naming rooms after famous Austrians and write-up in room. another expensive city .. but a good hostel and value for money. I stayed in a single private room with washbasin and shared bathroom.

Very good. Clean rooms, convenient location, good breakfast. The showers were excellent and the staff friendly Would have liked a jug in our room to make tea (as we like it) but generally no complaints.
Simon O — Google review
Great for couples or groups who don't want to get in contact with other people. As some have mentioned, it is not common to meet other travellers. But it has to be said that the service was great in well spoken english: they were happy to give advice and we were able to stall our luggage while visiting the city after the check-out.
Dirk-Jan F — Google review
The rooms barely fulfilled minimum standards. For electricity I was provided a loose extension cord but no visible outlet, and had to reorganise the beds to find it. The first day I woke up by the neighbours alarm as if it had been just next to me, so do not expect any kind of privacy. Several parts of both the room and the shared toilets and bathrooms were also in need of maintenance. The staff were not exactly unfriendly, but not helpful either. When I checked in I felt almost unwanted. In the breakfast buffet they did not refill some of the goods unless explicitly asked, despite it being more than two hours left of the allotted time. The best thing about the place was it's location. 150 meter from Westbahnhof and Maria Hilfer Straße it was close both to shopping and commute.

The myMOjOvie living rooms offer a unique blend of hostel and rental apartment vibes, with bright rooms and a mixed-sex dorm. The lovely host, Sandra, provides excellent amenities including a guest kitchen and lounge with a computer. Guests can enjoy a great free breakfast and receive helpful travel tips from Sandra. The hostel is known for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and cozy atmosphere. It's slightly further from the city center but still within walking distance to Vienna's old town area.
Absolutely recommend this hostel/hotel to Anyone. Sandra the owner is very nice. The rooms are beautiful. Everything you need is provided. The apartment was very clean and got cleaned every day! I loved the daily fresh provided bread and cake! Thank you again Sandra!

The cutest place ever! Super nice hostess who even manages to squeeze in our laundry on an extra busy day! As others have said amazing attention to detail. Q-tips and cotton pads in the rooms and bathroom. Tissues and toothpicks in the kitchen. Mouthwash and perfumes. Shampoo conditioner and body wash in the shower. Towels provided. Little things like pens, nail kits, travel books, puzzle books, a tablet! The decor is just so cute and hip. The rooms are just so clean and pretty. I wanted to stay longer after seeing it! One girl had done just that. Breakfast included. Just amazing. Would stay again 10/10. Sandra helped us plan our trip gave us great advice and was available for help via telephone if needed. Perfect English for anyone worried. There was an elevator to the apartment as well. Had no trouble with the location. I thought it was fine. Tram literally right outside the front door. Vegan options around for anyone needing that. Now the lack of air conditioning might be a problem some days. On our hottest day it was a bit warm but there are many fans that blow surprisingly strongly. We were fine most days and they got fairly warm (86F being the warmest day I believe). But if you know your trip is during a hot flash maybe try elsewhere. We went mid June and we were fine.

Amazing place to stay - 100% would recommend to anyone. We stayed in a private double room with a shared bathroom and were in the attic apartment and it was incredible. We had a kitchen between us and another double room along with a lounge, bathroom and toilet. Sandra (the owner) is great, she’s willing to answer any questions or queries you have whenever. Slightly further out of the centre than we had anticipated but nothing major. Roughly a 15 minute walk to the old town area of Vienna. Definitely worth a look if it suits your stay!

Stayed here for a few days while backpacking across Europe. This was without a doubt the best hostel we stayed in! (3 months backpacking) the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful with anything you need. They really did a great job making it feel more like a "home" than a hostel! Thank you!!!

Absolutely nothing to be changed. One of the most friendly staff we ever met, well equipped bathroom and kitchen (better than we could expect), very good free breakfast served, comfortable and nicely decorated rooms, and sparkling clean place overall. The cleanest we ever stayed. The rooms are located on the 3rd floor, which is not a problem as there's a lift. Even though Mojo is not in the heart of the city (25 min walk), there's a tram that picks you up just in front of the door and takes you there in a few minutes. Also there's a plenty of bars, restaurants and supermarkets around. I'd like to thank specially Rika, who was very considerate of us since the beginning.
Luis S — Google review
Best hostel I've ever been to. I was amazed by the attention to all the details. From the little place besides the bed to place your phone, to the shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the bathroom. Great bed, shower, host, cleaning. Definetly recommend this one!
Francisco F — Google review
Nicest hostel I've stayed in and not too expensive either. Not central but the area is nice and town isn't far to walk. Host is friendly, good breakfast foods provided and a nice communal area. Would definitely recommend.
Alexander C — Google review
As we opened the right apartment, there was music on, lights on and it looked as if people were living there. We called out to people but no answer. A group of three south-east Asian women came and went in from another door. Skeptically, we entered the apartment, read and re-read the instructions by the host and tried to make sense of them. And after a while, we understood, that we didn't have the entire apartment to ourselves but only a room in that. There were 4 rooms and all occupied. We were relieved as the mystery was resolved. I have to say, the apartment was very nice, creatively done up, and the space was well managed. All the required things were there tucked in different nooks and corners. The owner seemed musically inclined as there were all kinds of musical instruments. There were games, books, laptop, all kinds of brochures and kitchen essentials. In the room, there was a greeting note, chocolates etc. There was also a tablet in the room for surfing, and research. The host had upgraded us to a room with attached shower. God Bless her!

Nestled in Vienna's 02 Leopoldstadt district, Freinest Wien offers a comfortable and convenient stay for travelers. Just a short walk from Messe Wien Exhibition and Congress Center, this hostel provides private safes and coffee makers in each room. Guests can enjoy free WiFi and access to a shared kitchen for culinary endeavors.
Very good budget stay!! The beds were super clean and very comfortable. The shared spaces are quite small so I recommend bringing earplugs (there was a loud snorer one night!!) Also bring a lock just in case. This was a great stay and I would definitely come again. Minimal road noise did not bother me at all.
Gaia B — Google review
Nice simple hostel. Code to get in on arrival. Lockers are spacious (need your own padlock). Kitchen well equipped. The room is quite hot and stuffy. Bit of noise from the road.
Heather M — Google review
Great location if you are traveling to or from Munich. My room A/C did not work, so I was very hot. The service in the hotel was very nice, but they were flies in the restaurant area and even one in my room. I think I could stay here again, but I really hope they fix those problems!!

I feel like I visited little home. Maximum bed number is 10 to two separate room... kitchen is very well equipped... we enjoyed this place. only annoying thing was noise from the road. But it is not that bed to disturb sleep. nearby there is river. Close to Penny Market. Subway station is also close.
Minju J — Google review
The room is located on the groundfloor, so it has easy access through window if someone wants to enter the room. Unsafe for woman to stay in this hostel as its located on the groundfloor. Moreover its noisy as cars run just next to the window and very cold room. I had the worst experience!

+: Really new apartment with comfy beds and good showers. Full kitchen with coffee machine, oven, microwave, dishwasher etc. Cleaned daily. Quite good location with about 5-10 minutes of walking to the u-Bahn and about 100 meters to the closest store. -: Certain vibe and common area is missing from the property. Can get noisy sometimes but be prepared with earplugs and it's fine. Tips: The 4-bed room is definitely more quiet than the 6-bed room, since there are only beds in the other room and for someone wanting to go to kitchen, toilet or shower you have to go through the 6-bed room.

Schönbrunn Palace is an 18th-century summer residence that offers tours of its opulent rococo ceremonial rooms and lavish gardens with a maze. The palace boasts beautiful Baroque and Neo-Classical architecture, reflecting Vienna's rich history as the town of Habsburgs and Maria Theresa. It is Vienna's most visited attraction, featuring 45 luxurious state rooms, ceremonial halls, and private apartments once inhabited by Empress Elisabeth and Emperor Franz Joseph.
Gorgeous place to visit- bring a coat if going in the winter or fall as it can get chilly. Recommend buying tickets ahead of time and just walk to the front of the palace to enter- audio guides can be procured upon entry. If you have kids- there is also a small zoo, and a playground in the garden maze area.

We had a wonderful day exploring Schönbrunn Palace and its beautiful gardens! The place is enormous, so expect to spend almost the entire day walking around, discovering its stunning architecture, elegant interiors, and rich history. There are plenty of benches outside where you can rest, have a picnic, or simply people-watch. The gardens are incredibly lovely and very well-maintained, and the entire area is so organized that you’ll enjoy exploring no matter which part you visit. There’s also a children’s museum, zoo, mazes, cafés, restaurants, and more! We especially enjoyed the short hike up to the Gloriette for a breathtaking view of the palace grounds. A definite must-see when in Vienna!

It was my first visit to Schönbrunn Palace in 47 years, and its magnificent scenery was as wonderful as ever as a symbol of the Habsburg dynasty. The lavish decorations inside the palace and the splendor of the gardens are as magnificent as ever, demonstrating the majesty of a World Heritage Site that is worth revisiting. Walking around the vast gardens, I was reminded of its grandeur and splendor. The splendid decorations and paintings inside the palace are also worth seeing.

Beautiful palace just a short tube ride that takes you directly there. This palace is enormous and the gardens are lovely. We spent a whole day here. The inside is so interesting and so amazing. A real insight into the Austrian royal family of many years ago.

You need to explore all the places so a classic plus ticket is recommended for 75 euros, this will cover all the gardens, zoo, terrace, and the palace. This will be a long trip and you need to rest between them so I'd recommend to start your trip at 10 a.m. to finish it at 5 p.m. I strongly recommend to buy your tickets online becuase there was a very long line. I will leave you with the images to rate the experience 😊

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to! The Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens are simply breathtaking and a must-visit if you are in Vienna. The palace itself is stunning, with its grand yellow façade glowing beautifully in the afternoon sun. The gardens are perfectly maintained, full of colorful flowers, fountains, and impressive statues that add to the royal atmosphere. Walking up to the Gloriette is absolutely worth it - from the top you get a magnificent panoramic view of Vienna with the palace and gardens below. The Neptune Fountain at the base of the hill is another highlight, especially when seen together with the Gloriette above it. Every corner of this place feels like stepping into history and elegance. I could have spent an entire day here just wandering around and enjoying the views.
Ivaylo S — Google review
Lovely place to visit! When we purchased our palace ticket upon arrival, the time-slot allocated to us to enter the palace was 2 hours in the future. I think you can avoid this by booking online ahead of your visit. However, we passed those 2 hours pleasantly and easily by strolling in the garden, and visiting the maze and the orangerie. The palace tour offers a free audio tour, that is informative but not too lengthy.
Layla M — Google review
This palace is beautiful. It is large, so definitely keep some time aside so that you can see it at your own pace. If you like to listen to everything then this will take a significant amount of time. If you want to quickly look around, read few things and stroll around, it will take an hour or so. Be sure to get into the palace itself by 11am otherwise it can get crowded. I would recommend seeing the gardens and park behind the castle first thing in the morning and then follow it with the castle tour inside. I would highly recommend purchasing the ticket ahead of time. You will not be able to take in your backpack but they have a safe area to store them. The palace is located near the station so it is an easy walk. If you are elderly then it might be difficult to walk to and around the whole castle grounds. This palace is worth the visit.

Belvedere Palace is a stunning example of Baroque architecture located in Vienna's Landstrasse district. It consists of two grand palaces separated by a beautiful French-style garden. Originally built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy in the 18th century, it now houses an impressive art collection spanning from the Middle Ages to contemporary works, including a notable collection of Klimt paintings.

We used the €2 lockers (get the coin returned after you open it to get your belongings) to store our coats which was nice. The Klimt paintings were displayed well. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing The Kiss.

The Belvedere is a wonderful choice for a stroll and for experiencing beauty. The park is very pleasant and inspires a positive outlook, and the museum itself is incredibly aesthetically pleasing. You can see wonderful paintings not only by Klimt but also by other artists, as well as sculptures. There are absolutely unique works of art, portraits, and still lifes that are every bit as good as the famous canvases. The Klimt hall is wonderful; I really enjoyed his landscapes! A wonderful place!

A stunning historic complex with beautiful baroque architecture and meticulously maintained gardens. The Upper and Lower Palaces are impressive, and the art collections inside, including works by Klimt, are incredible. Walking through the gardens and enjoying the view of Vienna from the palace is a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended for history, art, and photography lovers .

Amazing! The paintings and organisation of the museum is impressive, the collection of Gustav klimit is iconic. If you’re there to discover the palace as a historical place i don’t recommend since there is no rooms displayed. If you’re an art fanatic i recommend 3 hours.

Visiting Belvedere Palace in Vienna is a feast for the eyes, particularly if you appreciate grand architecture and historic structures. The palace itself is stunning, with intricate interiors and elegant layouts that make wandering through its halls a visual delight. Even with parts of the building under restoration, the charm and grandeur of the palace remain impressive. The exhibition, however, is less remarkable. While it has its moments, it doesn’t quite match the awe-inspiring atmosphere created by the palace and its architecture. Art lovers may enjoy it, but for those primarily seeking a “wow” factor, it may feel underwhelming. A practical note: the queues can be long, especially on weekends. Even if you buy tickets online, you may have to wait for a later slot; when we arrived, our online tickets only allowed entry three hours later. Planning ahead and booking well in advance is highly recommended. The gardens are fantastic and free to explore. Locals often jog, run, or just relax there, and it's lovely to see artists drawing or people chilling. Overall, the views and grounds make it worth avisit! Overall, Belvedere Palace is worth visiting for its architecture and historical appeal, but don’t set your expectations too high for the exhibitions.
Kelvin T — Google review
I visited the Belvedere to experience the art of Gustav Klimt and to take in the stunning architecture and perfectly maintained gardens. The museum spans three floors, each offering something remarkable, from the magnificent Marble Hall, where the Austrian State Treaty was signed, to galleries filled with masterpieces from different eras. The highlight, of course, is Klimt’s The Kiss and Judith, along with several of his early works that show his artistic evolution. The atmosphere is both grand and intimate, you feel the history, the art, and the spirit of Vienna all in one place. Book your tickets in advance and stick to your time slot, as it can get busy. Give yourself time to explore the grounds, they’re as inspiring as the collection inside. A must-visit in Vienna. Highly recommended.

Prater is a historic public park in Vienna that has been open to the public since 1766. It features a long promenade, traditional amusement park rides, a planetarium, and a museum showcasing its rich history. The park also houses children's rides from the '20s and '30s that survived a fire in 1945. One of its most iconic attractions is the Prater Ferris Wheel, offering an unforgettable view of Vienna from above.
A Perfect Blend of Nature and Fun – A Park for Everyone! This park truly offers the best of both worlds. On one side, you’ll find a peaceful and charming green area with a pond full of ducks, perfect for a relaxing walk, biking, or even a picnic under the trees. It's an ideal spot to unwind, enjoy nature, or just let the kids run free while you sit back and take in the serene atmosphere. On the other side of the park is a huge amusement area that’s packed with games and attractions for all ages. From thrilling rides to fun games for kids, there's something here for everyone. We tried the giant Ferris wheel, which gave us amazing views — definitely a highlight! The ride cost €6 per person, and it was well worth it. Keep in mind that while entry to the general park is free, each amusement game or ride has its own separate fee. There’s also a fantastic section within the park filled with restaurants! you can visit day or night. It’s a great area to relax after a walk or a fun ride, and it's equally enjoyable for both adults and kids. All in all, this park is a must-visit. Whether you're looking for a calm afternoon in nature or an exciting day of fun, it has it all in one place!

I went there with my friends during our trip in Vienna and frankly there are a lot pf options of rides you can take. If you are adventurous and you like different types of rides this is the place. They even had go kart and pony rides for children and restaurants with food.
Jezuela G — Google review
The rides are great, and thwre are lots of them! I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the prices. Each ride is at least 6€ per person, and you cant buy group tickets. For a family of 4 that wants to enjoy a full day of theme park adventure - it is a sizable expense
Leah G — Google review
Loved this park, free to enter and you pay per ride, went like 3pm and not all rides were open but around 5pm most of them were open. Booster king, Black Mamba, Wiener looping & Volare were apur favorite rides

The amusement park was really fun! There were many different rides and attractions — I wanted to try them all. There are also food stalls and cafés, which make it easy to spend a few hours there comfortably. I visited after 8 PM and didn’t have to wait in line for any of the rides. The atmosphere was lively, colorful, and full of energy. A great place to enjoy with family or friends.

The Strauss Dinner Show was very enjoyable. The theatre is named the Mirage at the Prater. The conductor engaged with the audience and seemed very friendly. The singer and dancers performed wonderfully. The food was tasty and filling. The table service was superb. The waiters were prompt, efficient and the service was very well organized. This venue is located at the Prater so there are amusement rides, restaurants and vendors all available on site. Great location. I would definitely visit the Mirage again!

Heaps of rides and attractions! We easily spent over 5 hours here and had a great time. There's roller-coasters, the sling shot, dodgem cars, ghost trains, fun house labyrinth and loads more to do.

Museum of Art History in Vienna is an imposing 19th century building that houses a vast art collection including pieces by some of the world's most famous painters. The museum is located on the Ringstrasse, and visitors can explore its endless galleries filled with incredible masterpieces. Some of the most renowned artists in history are represented, including Caravaggio, Tintoretto, van Dyck, Raphael, Rembrandt, and Rubens.
I visited the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The building itself is breathtaking — both inside and out — and the collections are world-class, from Egyptian and Greek antiquities to Renaissance paintings and masterpieces by Caravaggio, Rubens, and Vermeer. The museum also has a café, but there was a constant queue, so we skipped it. However, it’s beautifully visible from the upper floor, and the view from the balconies is perfect for filming. Vienna is full of amazing museums, both in terms of architecture and collections, but this one truly stands out as one of the most beautiful. It’s definitely a must-visit if you are in the city.

Very nice museum. If you have time to spend then try this museum. First and foremost, the architecture and design inside is beautiful. You can just spend some time looking at the walls, ceiling, pillars and the stairs going up. There are multiple types of art exhibition in here, so you can pick and choose which one you want to visit. I would highly recommend going to this museum.

This is an absolutely magnificent museum. Its collection of masterpieces rivals that of many other renowned museums. The building itself is absolutely magnificent, with magnificent paintings by Bruegel, Raphael, Velázquez and many others. On the top floor is a truly unique coin collection, and its presentation and design are equally unique. The museum itself, in the center, has an aesthetically pleasing café where you can enjoy not only the taste but also the beauty of the interior. You could spend a whole day here, and there are also amazing temporary exhibitions, very interesting!

The Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna is a masterpiece in itself.. it is a grand blend of art, history, and architecture. Its majestic domed building sets the tone for what’s inside: an extraordinary collection of European art spanning centuries. Highlights include works by Vermeer, Raphael, Titian, and an exceptional Bruegel collection, the largest in the world. The Egyptian and Greek antiquities are equally impressive, offering a fascinating glimpse into ancient civilizations. The museum’s layout is elegant and spacious, and the café beneath the dome is a perfect spot to pause and soak in the atmosphere. A must-visit for anyone interested in art, culture, or simply beautiful places.
Monica K — Google review
The Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien is simply breathtaking — a true temple of art, history, and human genius. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by centuries of civilisation, magnificently preserved under one roof. Its vast collections span from antiquities to Renaissance and modern masterpieces, sculptures, archaeological treasures, and artifacts that tell the story of humanity across millennia. The architecture itself is a masterpiece, grand marble halls, gilded domes, and sweeping staircases that make every step feel like walking through history. Each gallery unveils another marvel, whether it’s the timeless beauty of Bruegel’s Tower of Babel, the emotional intensity of Madonna sculptures, or the rediscovered brilliance of artists like Michaelina Wautier. Be prepared to spend at least eight hours, if not an entire day, wandering through this palace of knowledge and beauty. Every piece has a story; every corridor, a heartbeat of civilisation. The Kunsthistorisches Museum is not just a museum — it’s a journey through the evolution of art and humanity itself. Totally awe-inspiring. Highly recommend!!!

There are no words to truly capture how incredible this museum is! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the stunning exhibits and the sheer scale of the collection. The museum offers a perfect blend of history, art, and culture, with each display more captivating than the last. The attention to detail is evident in every corner, and the atmosphere is both inspiring and thought-provoking. The staff is also knowledgeable and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. Whether you're a fan of art, history, or simply looking to explore something new, this museum has something for everyone. It’s a must-visit in Vienna, absolutely unforgettable!
Zoe S — Google review
A huge museum. So huge that at some point you turn off even the audio guide, which doesn't cover all the exhibits. By the way, you absolutely must get the audio guide. An incredible number of exhibits, thousands of them. From ancient Egypt and Greece to modern times. An incredible number of works of art. I allocated 2 hours for this museum, but ended up staying for 4 and would have stayed longer. There are days when this museum is open until 8:00 PM, so that's the ideal time to visit. Even if you're not interested in history or art, you should still visit for general knowledge.
Pavlo K — Google review
Beautiful baroque building, with high marbled walls and domed ceilings - an artwork on its own. The galleries we explored are large and comprehensively capture primarily Renaissance art - rich colors, photo-realistic subjects, and heavy religious symbolism. We were rushed for time, ideally you should plan a day to wander through the galleries. Very enjoyable.

The Vienna State Opera House, also known as Wiener Staatsoper, is a world-renowned opera house that has been hosting major productions and guided tours. It is one of the largest and most magnificent theaters globally, with a rich history dating back to 1625. The current grand Opera House was constructed in 1869 and features a French Early Renaissance style.
if you're a fan of music, or even just beautiful buildings, the tour of the vienna state opera is a must-do. i wasn't sure what to expect, but it was really fascinating. it's a guided tour, so you go with a group and a guide tells you all the stories. they take you through the grand staircases and these incredibly ornate rooms like the tea salon and the marble hall. everything is so elegant and detailed, and it's wild to think that parts of the building had to be rebuilt after being bombed in world war ii. you see the original parts and the restored parts side by side, and it's a cool mix of history. the highlight for me was seeing the auditorium and the stage from different angles. you get to stand in the royal box and look out, and it makes you feel like you're royalty for a second. the tour is about 40 minutes long, and you get so many interesting facts and stories. they tell you about the famous composers and conductors who worked there. it's a really great way to appreciate the opera house even if you don't have time to see a full performance. it's a good idea to check the schedule online and book your tour in advance because they're really popular

It was our first opera. It was amazing. The story was interesting and very easy to follow the subtitles on the little screen in front of each seat. The cast and Orchestra were extremely talented. The opera house is magnificently beautiful. It's well worth a visit.
Nimma S — Google review
First time in this quintessential building, went to see Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte on a Thursday night. The building design is such that, even high up on “oxygen level”, one has a great view of the stage and singers. However, the design also takes the breath away from those afraid of heights:) Individual tablets at the seats give you subtitles. They do make you check in your coats and the bar lines at intermission can get very long, so plan accordingly. Also, prices are high, not unexpectedly. Unique building and design though, quality performances, not to be missed.
Adi G — Google review
Such a beautiful venue! Many opportunities to have a nice meal prior to the show. Obtaining a taxi or Uber afterwards was easy, as many will be available. Tickets are reasonably priced.
Sue — Google review
We saw the performance of Don Giovanni. The venue was beautiful and the performance was phenomenal. I didnt realize there would be screens for everyone with live translations in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, and Japanese. Not being familiar with the plot, I am SO glad they had them because I actually would have been very confused what was going on. I was prepared to be lost, so this was a pleasant surprise. If I could offer any constructive criticism, I'd have preferred more original costumes from the era, rather than the modern outfits. I feel our clothing just doesn't translate the same.
Jesse B — Google review
We were 1 minute late for the ballet!!! Just a minute. We entered the opera house at 19:01, we were with a child. They wouldn't let us in!!! Due to being 1 minute late. I've never seen such cruel rules anywhere. They offered to sit in a small dark room where there is a live broadcast on a fairly small TV. A pregnant girl was also sent there. Just to mock. Shame. It discourages people from being interested in opera or ballet, especially the younger generation. But that's not all, we waited for 2 acts and at 20:30 we sat down in our seats. We decided to watch for about 15 minutes and leave, as the child needs to go to bed. We had seats in different boxes. I was with the child in 3, my husband in 4. After 15 minutes, the child and I left, I was going to go after my husband, but the opera employee categorically forbade me. Such rules. When I asked how I should call my husband and leave, she replied that there was no way, wait another 45 minutes. It feels like it's not an opera house, but a military facility. Thank God my husband came out after a couple of minutes (as we agreed). But the opera house is clearly overdoing the rules. The seats in the boxes (lateral) are arranged in such a way that you can't see the stage AT ALL. How dare you, the opera house, charge money for tickets like this. Visiting the opera turned into an endless stress and argument. It felt like I was visiting a military facility or a prison (albeit a very beautiful one). It was the worst theater I've ever visited.
Alexandra A — Google review
If you’re in Vienna, you definitely have to visit the State Opera House! I’ve been to opera houses in the U.S., but most of them are relatively new compared to this one. The level of detail here is incredible – every corner feels like a work of art, from the ornate ceilings to the grand staircases. The performance was equally stunning. The orchestra and opera singers were on another level – so powerful and moving that even though I’m not usually into classical music, I loved every minute of it. This was truly an unforgettable experience and one of those bucket-list items you absolutely have to check off when visiting Vienna.
Regis K — Google review
Phenomenal. Did I say that yet? Did I say phenomenal? I sat in the balcony and I could see everything. I recommend if you can to get front row seats spend the extra €50 it was just phenomenal. The music was excellent and they did some fun things at the end. Did I say phenomenal?

Pretty hill just 30min from the center of Vienna by streetcar or bus. Perfect for escaping the city and enjoying nature. So popular that it's unfortunately hard to find a quiet spot! The iron brown one (like an old ship) is a teaching center with classes and an Audimax (the biggest auditorium). A yellow-orange campus (looks like kindergarten) is my favorite. And other campuses (chess campus, tetris campus and a mirror-windows campus). Nice place for a walk, a photography. And of course amazing place to study!
Natalie Y — Google review
My recent visit to the library at Vienna's University (WU) was an absolute delight. The atmosphere at the library was nothing short of inspiring, making it an ideal place for my projects in life science and scientific paper writing. The library provided a serene environment, perfect for deep concentration and research. What stood out the most was the sense of quiet productivity that permeated the library. It was evident that fellow students and researchers were dedicated to their academic pursuits, creating an encouraging atmosphere. I found my time at the library to be highly productive and motivating. It's not just a place to study; it's a sanctuary for those passionate about advancing their knowledge and career. What's more, the library's location is a true advantage. There are wonderful eateries and cafes nearby, providing convenient options for refueling during study breaks. Moreover, the iconic Prater park is just a stone's throw away, offering a creative escape for a leisurely stroll when you need to recharge your inspiration. It's a gem for students and researchers, and I look forward to returning for more productive and inspiring sessions.

If you love modern architecture then its well worth visiting this campus, designed by Zaha Hadid even the street lights, bins and benches have a modern design all by Hadid as far as I know.
Russell W — Google review
Wow, what a building designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. Fell free to visit as a tourist, the whole campus area opened in October 2013 is out of this world, currently one of the largest new university building in Europe. There are also paid guided tours for the campus available on their website
Vlad — Google review
I can only judge from the buildings as i have only walked through it and never actually studied there. The architecture however is insanely impressive. Check me out for more reviews @kino.ah (tiktok/Instagram)

Hotel am Brillantengrund is a vibrant urban retreat with unique rooms, live music, and Filipino cuisine. Nestled in the lively seventh district, this hotel offers a peaceful courtyard oasis surrounded by palm trees. The vintage furniture and homecooked meals create an atmosphere full of character. The Mediterranean-style courtyard hosts various events like exhibitions and concerts. Guests can rent bicycles or join cycling tours to explore Vienna. The friendly staff provides helpful resources and comfortable, clean rooms for a pleasant stay.
Quaint and lovely place with beautiful interior design. Very welcoming people! The Pinoy breakfast is yummy. Some parts of the room could benefit from a little refresh (more outlets would be nice), but overall, it’s a great and enjoyable stay. Thanks!

Very lovely boutique hotel! The beds were very comfortable and the overall ambiance of the hotel was very nice. The breakfast was also really good; we would love to come back here!

I visit the Restaurant as Local Person and the Court Yard is so sweet! Staff is very friendly! And the Filipino Food is extremely delicious. Full of flavors and so tasty! I will come for sure again ♡

This place has a beautiful courtyard as well as nice and funky interior. The food is delicious and staff super friendly. I come here for a drink and some food every time I’m in Vienna.

If someone does not know how to cook food they should not serve food and just server drinks! Very disappointing meals. Old spareribs, reheated, fried chicken fried in oil still on with majo, dry bistek, Brokkoli, all in the same souse.
Karel D — Google review
Cute design-forward hotel that feels plucked from a 50's film. Very comfortable rooms and beds, though our washroom was a total puzzle to use. Excellent breakfast served from the bar/restaurant that gets very busy in the evening. Short walk to the U-bahn and several trams

Hotel am Brillantengrund is a former cloister turned design-forward hotel in Neubau. Its courtyard layout gives it a calm, open feel, while the popular Filipino restaurant adds just the right amount of energy. Rooms are simple and stylish, the (vegan-friendly) breakfast is excellent, and the staff are welcoming—with great taste in music. If you like beautiful spaces with a bit of soul and city life woven in, this is your place.

We enjoyed our four nights here in beginning of october. Breakfast was great. You can choose between different courses. We had dinner there one evening. It was a nice experience. We were very satisfied. Outdoor seating. The area is not touristy but very nice. Lots of restaurants and bars. You can walk to different destinations or take the tube.

Airport
Vienna International Airport serves as a gateway to both domestic and international destinations, making it an essential hub for travelers. One of the standout features is its direct express train service that whisks you straight to the heart of Vienna, ensuring a seamless transition from air travel to city exploration. For those seeking a touch of luxury, consider booking a private chauffeur upon arrival.
It was my first time visiting Vienna, and I was really impressed! The immigration process was very fast and smooth, making arrival stress-free. The airport itself is modern, clean, and very comfortable. Getting to the city is also super easy with the train connection. A great first impression of Vienna
Andri S — Google review
For an airport, this place is quite decent. It's easy to navigate, and a major plus is that they don't seem to be understaffed. We also had a positive experience at the business class check-in, where we didn't have to wait long. However, I was very disappointed with the business lunch, which I feel needs significant improvement.
Sissi — Google review
Absolutely perfect, huge and super easy airport! When you have boarding pass, you can just make check in by yourself without standing in line with others. Lot of food, coffee and other shops is casual. Happy traveling!
Jan ( — Google review
Feels more like a destination than an airport! Wien Airport is in an awesome location and incredibly well designed. Accessibility is top-notch—everything is easy to reach and thoughtfully arranged for all kinds of travelers. Honestly, I never felt like I was in an airport. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. A truly pleasant experience!
Gowri S — Google review
It is one of the cleanest and most convenient airports in the world. Yes, it is small, but very comfortable. I try to rate the places by the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness of the premises and the convenient location. It's all combined here. Toilets deserve special attention. The music of Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss in modern processing is played here and, as always, very clean.
Гринченко Д — Google review
From Kosice to Vienna - smooth, effortless, and on point. Grabbed a morning beer at the bar, did some browsing at the Hugo Boss boutique, just took in the airport vibe - Clean, Modern, Vienna International sets the bar high for European Travel.
Philip D — Google review
Very clean and efficient airport. But I had to look hard for the monitores for the flight schedules and also a map / layout of the airport would have been good too. I arrived at the F level gates and the G gates were 1 floor up ... and through passport control. Glad I wasn't in a hurry. Overall I was impressed esp the cleanliness of the toilets.
Nigel C — Google review
World class airport! Washrooms are well maintained. Entry and exit points and directions to gates are clearly labeled and airport is easy to maneuver ( find your way). Food choices are varied and shops offer wide variety of merchandise. Waiting rooms are comfortable and has ample space for waiting passengers.

Nestled in the heart of Vienna, the Volksgarten is a stunning public park that beautifully marries history and leisure. Originally designed as a private garden for archdukes, it has welcomed visitors since 1825 and is now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Center of Vienna. The park features manicured landscapes adorned with temples, fountains, and vibrant rose gardens.
One of the most beautiful and peaceful parks in Vienna. Whichever time of the day, this is the perfect place to take a break and enjoy the so many roses growing here. Just take a look at these pictures.

Large garden with lots of roses. Water mists on to cool down tourists under the strong sun. Bathed in sunlight on the bench, my eyes linger on roses in full bloom, while heavy music roars from the club — a strange harmony of beauty and chaos

Perfect place during the spring season. Flowers are in bloom and they smell really good. It gets crowded a bit so better to visit early. Park is free, with lots of benches.
Bea S — Google review
We went during the winter. I really wanted to like the garden but it just does not look as good as expected. But I’m sure it should look better in spring/summer when all the grass are green and the flowers are blooming.

An impressively lovely gardens right along the inner city of Vienna. Everything is precise, orderly and beautiful. There’s a section where rose bushes are donated by people and it makes for a colorful pop along the walking path. We came on a rainy day but this would be a lovely spot to sit and spend more time when the weather is better. I loved how precise everything was set up here, the grounds are very well attended to and cared for.

Nestled in the heart of Vienna, Hotel Sacher Wien is an opulent and iconic establishment located just across from the renowned State Opera House. Its strategic location provides easy access to Vienna's vibrant attractions and transportation hubs. The hotel boasts elegant accommodations, two refined restaurants - Rote Bar and Grune Bar, serving international and Viennese cuisine, a terrace bar for unwinding, and a full-service spa for relaxation.
A Timeless Classic – Outstanding Service at Hotel Sacher Staying at Hotel Sacher in Vienna was an unforgettable experience. From the exceptional concierge and reception team to the impeccable room service and housekeeping, every detail was flawless. The hotel is rich in old-world European charm, with a design that feels both classic and timeless. It’s like stepping into a different era — with all the modern luxury you could want. Don’t miss the bar and lounge — whether before or after dinner, they’re a must-visit. The atmosphere and beauty there are on a whole different level. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Vienna at its finest.

I spent three unforgettable nights at Hotel Sacher and loved every single moment. From the moment I arrived, every member of the staff went above and beyond — genuinely kind, impeccably professional, and attentive to every detail. Their warmth and care didn’t just meet expectations, they defined them. My room was exquisite, the breakfast selection was endless, and the décor throughout the hotel was nothing short of breathtaking. It’s a rare experience when luxury feels this personal. I would be absolutely honored to return and will enthusiastically recommend Hotel Sacher to everyone I know.

Okay, yes I bought into the hype. We lined up on our second day and celebrated my birthday there. The ambiance is undeniable. It is decadent in every aspect. I have to say I understand why people want to gather there it is so beautiful, but trust me the famous sachertorte is a waste of money. The hype on this cake is 1000x overrated. I would have preferred any number of desserts ahead of this. And trust me it's no better at Demel or any other place. What Sacher Cafe has is a refined almost snouty heir that must be experienced. Go there for the experience get dessert somewhere else.

My family and I had coffee and cakes upstairs in the café. The children were delighted with the wonderful chandelier which hung by the stairs between the ground and first floor. Sachers was a breath of old and elegant Vienna after our visit to see the incredible Spanish Riding School performance.

Many thanks to the fantastic team at Sacher Hotel Wien who made our stay (03-06 Oct 25) so memorable. Although we had been to Vienna many times in the past this was our first time at the splendid Sacher, together with friends, and we were certainly not disappointed! A short guided tour allowed us to get our bearings before being shown to our elegant Signature Suite room with view. Following the most marvellous breakfast, blue skies greeted us on the first morning for our open top carriage tour together with silver tray Sacher Cuvee (arranged by the ever helpful concierge) from the front of the hotel. Our long weekend took in a fabulous performance of the Spanish Riding School only a short walk away. We had the pleasure of dining in the Rote Bar and enjoyed drinks in the delightful Blaue Bar whilst there, both of which we would highly recommend. A beautiful hotel and most wonderful experience all round, attributable in no small part to the truly outstanding group of colleagues who work there. We look forward to visiting again.

This was my first stay at the Sacher and first visit to Vienna. I was simply blown away by the incredible level of service, warmth, professionalism and the overall property itself. This place is special. From the amazing staff to the location to the wonderful rooms and restaurant the Sacher by far exceeded my expectations. I had the best birthday yet and I owe it all to the team at this hotel. This will be my home whenever I'm in Vienna. You never forget how people make you feel and the top tier hospitality that was extended to me during my stay I will never forget. Thank you to the Management and staff for all that you do! I hope to return next year. With Gratitude and thanks -Troy

I did not stay in the hotel itself (this time), but made a reservation for the Sunday brunch several months in advance and it was divine. I grew a little concerned as the date approached after reading some critical reviews (largely citing questionable "value" and scarcity of selection) and I am SO GLAD I kept the reservation. Every interaction with the team was warm, the selection offered extensive, with main dishes prepared real-time to ensure freshness, and table service efficient. To add to the pleasure of beautifully curated and prepared food, the dining room itself had gorgeous natural lighting that complimented the colors, light fixtures, etc. I LOVED this experience, and I see myself enjoying breakfast at the hotel again in the future.

Every time I visit Vienna, I make sure to stop by this place for their delicious cakes. The atmosphere is charming, the service is warm, and the desserts are truly worth it. If you’re in Vienna, don’t miss the chance to treat yourself here!

Great location just a walking distance of many places to visit right in the centre of Vienna. Room was clean and fresh although the bathroom was a bit dated, so did the carpet. Staff were nice and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Great location, friendly staff, and a very comfortable bed. Unfortunately, I only stayed for one night—I truly wish I had stayed longer. The only downside was the price, which was a bit on the high side. However, that won’t stop me from giving a 5-star rating. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Vienna

Perfect hotel for a short break, very clean, amazing location, right next to all the main attractions and City Center. However, one small request to the management, please upgrade your gym. Not a big issue but just add a Dumbell rack, that’s all. Overall, I loved the experience. Oh by the way, gym is built in a bank vault, apparently it used to be a bank before.
Faisal I — Google review
The room is neglected, with old musty smell that makes it unpleasant to stay inside. There is mold on the bathroom walls and ceiling. The TV and hairdryer are very old, you could burn your hair or catch a cold waiting for it to drу.. The room is very small. The location is good, but the quality of the room could be much better for this price. The old luxury charm of this hotel is gone, the corridors and rooms look worn out and shabby.
Світлана Т — Google review
Room was very clean and spacious and it had everything we needed. But it was far too hot - the central heating was being blasted out and there can’t have been any need for it. We had to sleep with the windows wide open. Hotel is in a great location, but breakfast is terrible and extremely overpriced. Great service from staff.

We had a fab stay at the Radisson Vienna. The reason we choose this hotel was the outstanding location. Our room was big but needes some renovation. Breakfast was decent. Really impressed with the friendly late-night check-in. Dimitri patiently answered our many questions and also helped with our plans for the next day. Everything we visited was in walking distance but there is also a metro station right outside. Highly recommend catching a show at the gorgeous opera. Great weekend indeed, we'll be back soon!
Linda V — Google review
This hotel left me feeling a sense of value for money that I have not felt since Covid changed the level of demand and price dynamics of everything. I have stayed at comparable hotels in awesome locations in places like Paris but paid much more. I have stayed in mediocre but comfortable hotels in Barcelona and Lisbon that cost the same but gave me far less for my Euros. This hotel gave me what I would expect from a brand hotel in a prime location in a historic city. I don't expect everything to be brand new when I visit a hotel but this hotel has a good level of maintenance with a touch of tradition in its room designs, some opulent touches like marble in the bathroom and heavy black out curtains. The corridors were slightly maze like making it feel more like a large house than a purpose designed hotel. Someone made a bold choice to make the lift lobby very dark, but I think it works and adds to the quality feel of the hotel. I experienced no noise from other rooms or the street, I had some great sleeps there, and the room also doubles as a good place to get some work done. Reception was super friendly and efficient. They have good people making stays go smoothly and making people feel at home.
