1The Hive Party Hostel

Hostel
Located in the heart of Budapest's vibrant nightlife scene, The Hive Party Hostel is a popular choice for adult travelers. With a capacity of 300 beds, this hostel offers a buzzing rooftop restaurant and bar, as well as a shared kitchen for guests. Situated just minutes away from Keleti International train station and Deak Ferenc Square, it provides easy access to the city's attractions.
Had a really nice stay at the Hive Party Hostel, ended up having it cut short due to an emergency and straight away the staff helped me out and ensured I was looked after. Can't thank them enough, would definitely recommend as the rooftop happy hour was a great chance to meet new people as you have the daily drinking games. Will definitely stay there again.

Tldr: Stay at maverick hostels, they are far better than this. No real party element in this hostel. Room: Good enough. Beds are thin and not comfortable. Pillow is good enough. You get lockabel cabinet for storage. Ac: Doesn't work. Even after repeated attempts to ask them to fix, they just choose to ignore. Luckily the night was cold enough to open the windows. Othewise it will be 27 degrees inside. Wifi: inside room, barely enough coverage. Speed is also between 1 -10 mbps. Terrace: nice place to sit and have drinks. Play foosball and table tennis. Party: The only party element you have is the terrace, but anyone can access it. All the other activities are just from different operators. Toilet: Bad design, toilet shower and washbasin all in one. How can 10 people share it. My last night I shifted to maverick central market hostel. Soo much better!!! The rooms, shower area, storage, AC wifi, lobby, bar, terrace all perfect. I would suggest you to go there, same price.
Yash J — Google review
Very central location. Easy to visit the few tourist sites in Budapest from here. Or anything you wanna do. It amuses me that you can close the locker with your card but they don’t have the basic feature of privacy curtains. The entrance door before you get to your room requires more force than you think. The rooftop leaves much to be desired. But the staff is decent. You do get exposed to the elements quite a bit throughout the hostel. Also the bathroom has like a shower curtain and there is nowhere to put your stuff inside. The toilet paper is not real. It is more like a tissue box so be aware of that. It looked like the pic attached.

The Hive Party Hostel in Budapest is a great place to stay, especially if you want to be right in the middle of everything. The location is amazing, close to countless attractions, restaurants, bars, and cafes. You can walk almost anywhere in just a few minutes, which makes exploring the city super convenient. The area also feels very safe, even late at night. Despite its reputation as a party hostel, the building itself is fairly quiet, and I didn’t feel unsafe at any point during my stay. That said, there were a few small downsides. When I arrived, I noticed some spots on the pillows, I couldn’t tell whether it was makeup, blood, or something else, but it didn’t look very clean. It would be nice if the hostel checked the bedding more carefully between guests. Also, make sure to bring your own towel and maybe your own toiletries. They rent towels, but the quality is basic, and the shampoo and soap they provide aren’t great. If you’re particular about those things, it’s better to come prepared. I booked a quadruple room for our group, and the price was excellent, definitely good value for the location and facilities. The room itself was spacious enough, though one issue was the bathroom. There’s nothing to stop the shower water from spreading across the floor; there’s no rug or mat to soak it up, so the floor gets very wet. It’s a small inconvenience but something to be aware of. Overall, The Hive Party Hostel is a great budget choice in Budapest — lively, central, and safe, with just a few details that could use some attention.
AboodAbAj — Google review
I chose this hostel instead of staying at a hotel in Budapest, which I reserved for 3 days of my European trip. The location is perfect. You can reach it by bus from the airport. The concept of Party in its name is not always present. It only has its own bar. Safe and Clean.
Enes Y — Google review
I love the ambiance from the reception until the room. Our room is with attached bathroom which is really nice and convenient. The Hostel is near to most of the iconic places like the Basilica and New York Cafe. Staffs were very welcoming and friendly. Towel is not included which is okay as the rent is really affordable. Keleti railway station is almost 30 mins walk.

Great atmosphere and super friendly staff! The Hive Party Hostel is perfect for meeting new people and enjoying Budapest’s nightlife. The rooms are clean, the location is central, and the parties are unforgettable. Highly recommended for solo travelers! 🎉🇭🇺

“The Hive Party Hostel has a great vibe and is perfect for meeting people — clean rooms, friendly staff, and fun nightlife. The only downside is the location — it’s in the city center, so you’ll need to walk quite a bit to reach public transport stops. Still, overall a good stay for social travelers!”

Avenue Hostel, situated on Budapest's iconic Andrassy Avenue, embodies the lively essence of the city. Its prime location near attractions like the Opera House and St. Stephen's Basilica makes it a convenient base for exploring Budapest's rich history and culture. The hostel offers a relaxed atmosphere with modest dorms, three guest kitchens, complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, and linens.
I only stayed for one night, but it was pleasant, bathroom and shower facilities were clean and the breakfast and coffee was nice. Staff are friendly and professional and happy to help with anything you need. The biggest bonus is the location, accessible to most major attractions within walking distance, overall, very nice!

Generally is good. You get for what you pay. The breakfast is good and the staff is amazing, they help kindly!! They speak many languages and that makes it very comfortable. The bathrooms are okay and always clean, I like the staff is always aware and taking care of conditions of the areas You make your stay comfortable by keeping everything clean for you and others. Some cases you might share the rooms with people different from you with other smells and could be sometimes hard to adjust The policies and the rules provided are perfect to have a good stay.

Recommend.. don’t let the elevator fool you 😅 Way above expectations considering the price! Really clean and well maintained. We stayed two nights during our road trip back in 2019. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was so strategic. Will definitely check in again next time I’m in Budapest.
Mohammad A — Google review
Great location next to major tram route, great price, great services/ facilities (kitchen toilets etc), great staff who even put sport on the tvs for us, no nonsense well enforced policy for bad guests, you get a big locker and a small one in your bed and the rooms are well kept and air-conditioned. The free breakfast was good and you could get a free evening dinner if you spend €4 at the bar which is great for those on a budget. Deffinatly recommend
James G — Google review
Bed was comfortable. Love the privacy curtains! Breakfast was decent. Great location - close to the Nyugati train station and a metro stop right beside hostel. Definitely recommend! And for those who like to meet others and go exploring with new friends, this is the place to go.

We stayed in 2 bed 2 bath private suite for £190 for 3 nights. There were 4 of us. I was impressed how spacious this apartment was. Plus it was not that far from centre & the main railway station.
Psychi A — Google review
The hostel is quite far from the city center. The windows in the rooms don’t close properly, so all the noise from the busy street comes inside. In an 8-bed dorm there was only one bathroom and toilet, and we often had to wait in line. The liquid soap dispenser at the sink was broken; the cleaning lady saw it every day but never fixed it — I had to ask about it myself. The tea at breakfast was ice cold. I asked if we could boil it to warm it up a bit more. The funny response was something like, "Put it in the microwave." I went upstairs and made my own tea and brought it back, and I didn't mind. I wouldn't have written everything that happened up to this point..if the following event hadn't happened. I wasn’t planning to write a review, but the last straw was that they sold me a lock. At check-in, they never mentioned that the deposit wouldn’t be refunded. In every other hostel I’ve stayed at, locks were rented, not sold. When I questioned this, manager gave me a ridiculous example, saying, “Do you return bread after buying it from a store?” A lock is reusable — I’m not obliged to buy your low-quality lock; I just needed to rent it temporarily. They argued with me over 3 euros. I returned the lock and left. You’ll probably just sell it to the next guest anyway.
Sezayir D — Google review
Such an horrible experience. So poor customer service. The manager is arrogant and entitled. I had some ankle issue and i ask gently tò the manager to have a lower bed. Imagine pay something and being treated as a criminal. She is totally unavailable to help me. She was rude and make me very uncomfortable. I dont understand why i cant have a normale human treatment. Unfortunetely was also my birthday. The hostel was one of the worst i have ever seen. It's full of homeless man in their 50is and food is rubbish. I am sad for this people. There was a very bad vibe. If u look for older reviews, you can see that they usually stole luggage and there are bed bugs.

Maverick City Lodge Budapest is a stylish and modern boutique hostel located in the heart of Budapest's historic Jewish Quarter. The hostel offers a comfortable and well-equipped stay with attention to design and functionality, including private curtains, reading lights, and outlets for each bed. Its central location provides easy access to the city's attractions, eateries, concert halls, bars, and ruin pubs.
Everything was perfect. Clean, quiet, great location, kitchen was very clean and had everything you need. The female dorms had very nice bathrooms and extremely comfy beds with surrounding curtains. Not a party hostel but still organise optional social events. Free towels at reception that were extremely soft and smelt lovely. Staff were very nice. Great value for money.

Stayed here with a 20-people group. Everything was above standards for this kind of accommodation. The hostel is very well located. The rooms were well maintained. Double room was very big and comfortable. The staff were really nice and helpful. The breakfast was very rich and diverse, special point to the fresh juices 😋
Félicien M — Google review
Absolutely the best choice we could have made for our trip to Budapest. The hostel is located right in the middle of this beautiful city and provides everything a traveller could need. Amazing value for the location and the staff are incredible. Special thanks to Mimi for helping us throughout our stay. She is absolutely wonderful! Next time we are in Budapest, this will be where we stay without doubt!
Benjamin A — Google review
The hostel was super good. At first I forgot that it was a hostel. The room was nice and we didn't need more than we got. We had a room with a double bed and two beds that you had to climb up to but it wasn't a problem. The food was good. Kai that was in the reception was super nice. The location was super central and near lots of things. We loved it as a family of four.
Sanja M — Google review
The hostel is very nice. It has trained and polite staff. It has breakfast service, laundry. It has a full kitchen, and it is very clean. There are separate male and female toilets, and each is very clean. It has good access to the metro and city attractions. Public spaces such as the lobby and hallways are very clean and very tastefully painted. It has a room to store luggage. Overall, if you are a backpacker, I recommend this hostel.
Sepehr H — Google review
It was an amazing experience being on Maverick while on Budapest. Since the service to the rooms. There are all kind off different activities to meet other guests. I would like to congratulate and compliment the whole team but in special Kseniia. She was incredible, really kind and helpfull! Hope to come back soon!!
João R — Google review
Being my first ever stay in a hostel while travelling abraod, I was a bit apprehensive of what to expect when i landed up at Maverick. I was very pleasantly surprised at how cool the place is. It has a fun eclectic vibe. The staff at the reception were all friendly youngsters who always greeted you with a big smile. The room was tiny but enough for a solo traveller. It was super clean and neat and the private bathroom was spacious and organized. The best part is the location - Maverick is located in the heart of the city of Budpapest...all the key tourist destinations are within 15-30 mins by local transport. The Astoria and Urania metro & bus stations are 5 mins walking distance from Maverick which makes it super convenient. Fat Mama restaurant is housed in the backyard of Maverick so late into the evenings you can also enjoy some pleasant live music even if you are in your room! Maverick has positively changed my opinion about hostels and i would recommend it to everyone, especially solo and couple travellers.

Wombat's City Hostel Budapest is part of the renowned Wombats group, consistently winning awards and highly recommended by visitors. Located on vibrant Kiraly Street, this cheerful hostel offers a mix of party vibes and relaxed atmosphere. The 19th-century building has been transformed into a modern space with clean dorms, private rooms, a retro-style womBAR, and a communal kitchen.
I stayed at three wombats on this trip (Munich and Vienna ) and this one is the best!!! There is air conditioning inside the room!! Can’t complain!!! I visited in summer time and it’s grateful to have A/C. Besides there is a little fan every bed just like in wombat Vienna. The bath room is great, lots of space to put your stuffs, with hair dryer as well. Room is big, full size mirror is a plus. Guest kitchen is big too and three big fridges with enough space to store food. Great location easy to get to metro/ airport bus. Most importantly affordable price!! Love my stay thank you ☺️
Tong C — Google review
Excellent location, great staff, okay rooms. Rooms have a washroom. How clean it is depends on the roommates. There rooms have no stool or chairs to sit. If you get a higher level bunk bed, you may have to sit on the floor to remove it wear shoes. I got my room changed to get a ground level bed. Breakfast was okay for the cost of 8.5 Euro. This wombat charges to keep your luggage after you checkout, not my favorite feature. There are hundreds of good restaurants nearby. I even are in a Michelin Star restaurant that is walking distance. There is night life, it can be a distraction if you want to sleep. The clerking light near the lockers in my room diff not work, but was fixed after I reported it. They have the hand soap dispenser inconveniently placed inside the shower stall instead of near the wash basin in room 416. There was no place to keep soap and toiletries inside the shower stall. The ceiling windows were good as they let in lots of light.
S T — Google review
I recently stayed at Wombat's City Hostel in Budapest. While the location is fantastic and the staff were generally friendly, there were several significant issues that impacted my stay. The room had a noticeable unpleasant smell upon arrival, which made the stay uncomfortable. Furthermore, the light in our room was broken and constantly flickering, which was very distracting and should have been fixed before we checked in. The breakfast offering was very disappointing for the price. It was a very basic spread, consisting of just one type of cheese and one cold cut. They did not offer any hot options like eggs. It felt insufficient, especially for a large hostel. Finally, the most frustrating part was the lack of a free luggage storage room. Instead, guests are required to pay to rent a locker to store their bags after checking out. This is an unexpected and frankly unwelcoming policy that I haven't encountered at many other hostels. Overall, I would only recommend this hostel if the price is significantly lower than competitors, as the core amenities and basic comfort (smell, flickering light) were subpar.

STOLEN PHONE AND NEGLIGENCE FROM STAFF -- I stayed at this hostel and had a negative experience. The staff upon arrival were unfriendly and unwelcoming, which made the environment uncomfortable. The rooms were mediocrely clean. Upon departure, I realized I had forgotten my phone in my room. When I informed the staff they stated it had not been found by the cleaners but their negligence to clean properly had my phone overlooked. Once it was located inside my room I immediately provided my full mailing address and contact details for its return. Despite multiple follow-ups, I received none to minimal communication or urgency from there team. On September 24th, I was informed the safe containing my phone had allegedly been broken into and the phone stolen. This is absolutely unacceptable. Not only did the hostel fail to act promptly when first informed of the lost phone, but its continued negligence directly resulted in the theft of my property. My phone, valued at approximately $1,300, contained sensitive personal information that can never be recovered and has compromised my safety. This situation represents a serious breach of trust and accountability on their part.
Courtney D — Google review
Dorm room bunk beds all have curtains for privacy with reading light, power outlet and mini safe. Room was cleaned everyday. Not fancy, bare bones, centrally located for tourist attractions. Felt safe walking in the neighborhood at night. I’d recommend to hostel-staying friends.
Terri S — Google review
The hostel is fantastic and very clean. The building is equipped with everything: a kitchen, games room, cafe, laundry room, everything. However, there is a major problem: the cleaning staff do not treat the residents with respect. They enter rooms loudly and raise their voices while working. Otherwise, it is excellent.
Husham T — Google review
It was a great hostel but, some downsides are there is only 1 shower to share in your room, and one toilet, they only offer 4 more toilets in the entire building. Laundry is 7€ which is kinda pricy, kitchen is nice, though there was a lady who would come in every night around 9:00-2:00am and would steal food out of the fridge and cook it and then fall asleep in the kitchen as if she had no room to sleep in.
Cooper G — Google review
Perfect for travelling and great location. The staff at the desk are fine, but housekeeping walks in unannounced and doesn’t knock. They don’t speak to u either just pick about the room muttering and leave. Not much cleaning gets done and they don’t make sure it’s ok for them to come in when ur still using the room.

Flow Spaces is a trendy and relaxed hostel located near the Central Market Hall in Budapest. The accommodation offers bright quarters with a modern and minimalistic interior design, featuring plenty of houseplants. Guests can choose from private rooms with ensuite bathrooms or shared dorms with pod-style beds equipped with lockers and curtains. Additionally, the hostel provides free cooking classes and Wi-Fi access.
The people are great and the place is very hygienic . (Trust me , the cleaning service is fantastic and the bathrooms and toilets are very very clean) . The location is very great (city center) You will never get a place with such a low price in the city center . (9~ 11 euro per night I think) 🤩 I met more than 20 nationals from all over the world just in 5 days.. There is a lounge /gallery, silent room , and a shared kitchen with all utilities available with free food sometimes...We can cook our food together with many foreigners and chill out. 🥰🥰 I really really miss the place and people I met😭😭, I wish I would have stayed a little bit longer. 💯💯✅✅❤❤

The hostel is clean and they have taken care to keep it very well, but what really gives value to this hotel is the receptionist Inaz, she helped me a lot and changed my room, I really appreciate this. My suggestion to the hostel owners is to give them the maximum rating because this is the best receptionist I have ever encountered, 10 for the hostel 100 for Inaz 😊
Ani — Google review
The bed is really comfortable and also it is calm because it has a curtain. In the other hotels where I was it did not have that luxury. The only downside that I can think of is that the Bathroom is really small, like almost there is 0 space there. Otherwise it is amazing
Gergely F — Google review
I started out staying in a 4-bed mixed dorm, but switched to a private after falling ill. Although the dorms and bathrooms themselves were basic (probably could have been cleaner but I love a privacy curtain), the private I stayed in was sun-filled and lovely. My main reason for 5 stars though was the staff - a lovely girl helped me switch to a private when I was quite unwell, and was very kind and generous in helping me carry my stuff!
Darci — Google review
Pick location, excellent service, they also have a kitchen which you can use to cook your own food. Which makes it very convenient for you and saves lots of money. It's 5 min walk from metro 4 and 6 min walk with tram. 3 min walk from the big traditional grocery market hall.
Ofelia — Google review
Very cool hostel in the Kalvin Ter area. Close to the market hall. The beds are comfortable, there are curtains and the bathroom is clean. The boxes are spacious and there is a smaller box on each bed for daily needs. The inside is modern, the kitchen and the facilites were very nice. My main complaint is the uncomfortable ladders for the bunk beds, they're only metal bars, no support so with barefoot its very hard to get up and down. However, the staff were helpful, and when I asked to be moved down to a bottom bed they quickly helped and allowed me to move. I would definitely recommend this place.
Phant — Google review
My stay was pleasant. They have a curtains for each bed, that will give you some privacy The location was great. Easy access to lots of the tourist attractions. Kitchen was fully equipped
Aditya J — Google review
+ great location + huge rooms ( except 208) +good bathrooms + great staff + huge kitchen + beds are ok as a world traveller, one of my favourite hostels in an charming building - smell of smoke, a bit too much for my taste as a non smoker. Everyone is allowed to smoke on the huge balcony and the smoke spreads everywhere.

Pal's Hostel is a vibrant and colorful accommodation located in downtown Budapest. It offers a variety of rooms, including dorms, private rooms, ensuite rooms, and apartments. The hostel provides free Wi-Fi and rental PlayStations for entertainment. Situated near popular attractions such as the Chain Bridge and St Stephens Basilica, guests can enjoy stunning views from the balcony. The friendly atmosphere is reflected in the decor with hand-drawn murals.
The best place to stay on Christmas Market time!! The balcony view is gorgeous. The location is on city center, near everything by foot The rooms are big and clean. The staff is amazing, we arrived late and they helped us with everything

Great for a group trip, BEWARE if you have cat allergies and are sensitive to fragrances. The good : The room was very spacious The property was quiet (we were on the top floor not facing the street) The location is fantastic The value is quiet great, especially considering location Upon arrival the rooms are quite clean. It was nice to have a kitchen, dining space and balcony. The bad: The lobby had cats living inside, as someone who is allergic this made my stay quiet uncomfortable. The more enclosed room in our apartment gave me hives, I can only think this is because of the cats. I was also constantly stuffy, sneezing and itchy because of this. I would have never booked this apartment if I knew there were cats living in the building. The bedding and towels are washed with heavily scented detergent which made sleeping uncomfortable. Outdated information in the hostel. (the windows says up to 50 euros if you break window) Someone in my group accidentally broke a window while putting his shoes on and had to pay 70 euros to get it fixed. We had 2 "room cleanings", we were told to put our things into our bags so that the rooms could be cleaned. They only swapped out the towels, the room remained dusty the entire week. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine. We are unsure if it was the toilet itself or if the opening on the floor for plumbing was connected to the toilet. We kept it clean so we don't know why it smelled so poorly especially towards the end of the trip.

Location and quality is phenomenal for the price - it's in the center of the city, and a 10 minute walk from the danube. My friends and I got a 6 person room, it had a kitchen, shower, and bathroom as well as 6 beds (including a queen sized bed that could sleep 2). Would highly recommend!
Milan G — Google review
The rooms we got assigned for are not even close to the same level as the ones in the presentative photos, during the weekend it can get really noisy, so i don't advise it for the elderly. They are really really careful about theft, which is good but also worrying at the same time, even tho there arent safes in the rooms. We asked for a transport to the airport and it didn't even arrive to take us there, we had to take a Uber, which ended up costing even less than the Pal's trasport. Overall not great experience, if u are young and only use the rooms for sleeping is fine i guess and the central position is really handy, but the service and the rooms have space for improvement.
G4BRI07 B — Google review
Rooms are quite old and in bad conditions, even though they are fair for the price they come at. Staff is quite kind but they welcome you by giving you ear muffs? Like they are anticipating loud noises at night (even though there weren't any). Beds are comfortable, just like the position of the hostel, which is located in front of the main church.

Wow. We booked the apartment and were stunned by the freshness of the space as soon as we opened the door. Bright, clean, neat, cool, spacious and an amazing view of St Stephan's Basilica! Kitchen has appliances. But bring your own teabags :) Oh and the young fellow at the reception was very professional and helpful.

For the price, the location in the heart of Budapest and the size of the apartment are exceptional. The host is so welcoming and caring, a real joy!

With free communal family dinners every night, on-site bar with drinking games, and organized pub crawls to popular ruin bars led by friendly staff, guests can easily immerse themselves in Budapest's vibrant nightlife scene.
Perfect hostel. Stayed here for 3 nights and we all wanted to extend our stay but they were all booked 💔 The rooms are great for a party hostel, always clean and the bathrooms were good too. The location was so good, walkable anywhere. The staff and volunteers are great, I loved my experience here. The night outings were so much fun, my favorite part were the drinking games. I met sooo many cool people and it was so easy to socialize. Would stay at any Onefam in the future

A great hostel in a great city. Outstanding staff, location, and facilities. Stay here if you want to meet interesting people and share some incredible experiences with them, guests and staff alike. In particular, staff members like Max, Erin, and Mauro went the extra mile and really elevated my trip. Book for a week and walk away with stories for a lifetime.

This is one of the best hostels, I have ever stayed at! All the staff are so friendly and welcoming! They really make you feel like you are at home. I would definitely recommend this hostel if you are looking for a homely and social vibe! They also put on great daily activities and ensure you have everything you need! I will definitely be returning back ❤️

Had such a good time staying at this hostel, woukd definitely recommend to social solo travellers. Thanks to all the volunteers who were there at the time I stayed who worked hard to make the atmosphere so welcoming and enjoyable. Special thanks to Alia who led a really nice walking tour of heroes square.

The hostel is amazing, it’s clean, I felt safe with the security measures and the atmosphere is amazing. It’s a party hostel for young people that every day they do drinking games at the common area and then go for a puc crawl all for free. The volunteers are all the sweetest people I’ve met, especially Jody, Maddy and ashi

MEININGER Budapest Great Market Hall is a trendy hotel with both dorms and private rooms, featuring shared kitchen facilities, a bar, and a game room. Its prime location next to the iconic Great Market Hall makes it an ideal base for exploring the city. With 184 rooms, including female-only dorms and family rooms with en-suite bathrooms, this hostel-hotel hybrid offers various amenities such as multiple lounges and a guest kitchen.
Stayed in a private room and enjoyed the hotel! Close proximity to central market, Aldi and the metro or bus stations. Kitchen and seating area available too. Staff was friendly! The breakfast buffet was meh but we only ordered it for one of the day. Highly recommend it!
Kristie D — Google review
Even though I had seen photos in advance, I was surprised by how simply the rooms are furnished. It’s really just very basic furniture in a relatively small room. However, everything was clean and nice, so in the end, we were satisfied. Breakfast is reasonably rich. If you're looking for simple accommodation in a good location in Budapest, I can recommend it. One more tip – the hotel doesn’t have its own garage, but about 200 meters away, on the bank of the Danube, there’s an underground garage where you can park cheaply and very conveniently (Bálna Budapest underground parking, Bálna Honvédelmi Központ mélygarázsa).
Milan V — Google review
Great hotel with great location and very good price quality ratio. The staff is amazing and super helpful. The rooms are well equipped, I would've liked a double bed but all the rooms have twin beds. Also they have a system so you can only use the lift if you have a room card, which is very safe. The hotel is close to several bus, tram and metro stops. I can only recommend this place, it was a lovely stay.
Luciana C — Google review
Positives - great location, staff were friendly and good size room. Negatives - extremely noisy outside at night until past 2am, not necessarily the hotels fault but did affect our stay. Also if we shut the windows the aircon is on but wouldn’t stay on a lower temperature so it became too hot. Kitchen could have been cleaner (extractor fan had loads of dust on) and twice I had to go to reception as one time there were no forks or spoons, the second time no mugs. This should be checked by staff more regularly. Rooms could also have been cleaner - multiple long black head hairs on the bed / floor and some dust on the shelves.
Abigail R — Google review
The staff are friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and giving great local recommendations. The location is ideal for exploring Budapest: Váci utca shopping street, the Metro M4 at Fővám tér, and many restaurants are within a few minutes’ walk. Excellent value for its central location and amenities. Perfect for travelers who want to be in the heart of Budapest.
Antel A — Google review
Great location, comfortable rooms, great staff. Good breakfast and a quiet, peaceful place. Lots of shops, cafes, and public transportation nearby. We are very happy we chose this hotel. Thank you, everything was perfect.

Really amazing experience staying here, the receptionists (Laura in particular) were very kind with our check in timings and check out timings. They helped us a lot with tips & translation. Rooms are clean and spacious. Would surely stay again!! Also very convenient as it's got a bus, tram and metro stop 3-5 minutes by walking!
Anmol S — Google review
Unpleasent experience with the reception. We wanted to Drop our luggages before check in time. The receptionist tried to scam us by telling us to pay for dropping our luggages on the website. On their website, they charge 6 euros for 1 bag. We had 4 bags so it would cost 24 euros. Then we saw they actually have lockers next to the toilets which cost 4 euros for 6 hours. Therefore, much cheaper. We saw that by chance. The receptionist does not tell this on purpose so they can make 4 times more! Needless to say normally you never have to even pay for dropping bags!

Island Hostel is a laid-back accommodation located on Margaret Island, offering simple rooms and mixed-gender dorms. The hostel provides a peaceful retreat with easy access to the city center via public transport. Guests can unwind on the spacious terrace or in hammocks overlooking the Danube after a day of exploring. An on-site restaurant and bar offer convenience, while nearby activities such as bike rentals and canoe hires provide entertainment.
I spent a couple of days at the Island Hostel. I had a great time! Budapest is stunning! The island is beautiful. It's quiet, but not boring. There's a tram stop right on the bridge. From there, it only takes a few minutes to reach the crowded area. There are clear rules in the hostel. The main host is honest and straightforward. Don't misunderstand her. Actually, that makes things easier. The rooms are clean and pleasant. The terrace is breathtaking. It has everything you would expect from a good hostel — maybe except for curtains on the beds, but I could live with that -> It was great.

If you enjoy being in the city, but prefer nature to buildings and traffic noise, this is the place to be. No cars on the island, this little gem of a place welcomed me with the scent of flowers and a magnificent view of the Danube form the spacious porch at the back. I booked the single room and had a restful time. Clean and quiet, the staff are friendly and hospitable. They even helped me with my suitcase up the stairs. Easily accessible by public transport or electric taxi, I feel fortunate to have found such a cozy home in the bustling city of Budapest. I will be a regular for sure. :)

I really like this place! Firstly, it is well located and very close to the city centre. Secondly, it has everything: a washing machine and a dryer, a kitchen, dishes, a toilet and a shower in each room, a beautiful terrace overlooking the river; thirdly, a very nice woman at the reception who will tell you everything and show you everything; I really liked everything here: the price, the cleanliness, the amenities, and the availability of everything you need. There is also a bar and restaurants very close by, so you can have breakfast here too. Overall, thank you very much for this place and I wholeheartedly recommend this place and wish everyone to stay here!

Very nice hostel in a beautiful and green part of the city with great surroundings - perfect for walking, jogging, cycling and great spot to reach any place in the city center quickly. The staff in the hostel is also super friendly and the receptionist (Edith) was always very helpful and actually helped me a lot with my reservation. The place is also bicycle friendly so you can park your bike there. I felt very welcomed here and relaxed especially when sitting on the terrace. Thank you guys a lot for a lovely stay, I will definitely come back 🙂👍.

We got a private room which was clean and comfortable. There is mandatory cleaning every day. Be warned of no fans or AC, but that is expected. The host was lovely and gave us great recommendations, loved chatting and overall super friendly. The island is a beautiful park.

Edith was absolutely amazing. Assisted me in each question I had, provided such a great service and made me feel very comfortable. She provided me with recommendations on where to go and how to get there, places to see, restaurants and bars to visit. Couldn't recommend her enough. In terms of the room, it was lovely. Fairly comfortable beds, I had good roommates and lockers were provided for our belongings. I would 100% recommend this hostel especially as its right in the middle of both buda and pest sides.

Das Nest Budapest is a newly renovated hostel located in the heart of Budapest. It offers a cozy and colorful atmosphere, making guests feel at home from the moment they arrive. The staff is friendly and helpful, contributing to the homely vibe of the place. The hostel features a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable loft area for guests to relax in.
The place was super cozy and comfortable. And as a person with an eye for beauty, the interior was amazing, so many details and things that take you back in time. I felt like I returned to my very early childhood and it brought a nice feeling. It genuinely felt like a home I would want to return to. Everything was clean, the kitchen very well equipped and the common area perfect for both relaxing and working. The dorm room was wonderful too, I liked the view from the window. It was a little bit cold at night for me but nothing a sweater could not fix. The bathrooms were also clean and nice. After a long day, taking a shower there felt like heaven, really. The staff was wonderful, acommodating and friendly. Each person felt like a real personality you could trust, not just a worker that is there to answer your questions dryly. People who stayed there also seemed like the ones that are there because they want to be there. Friendly and communicative. Sending lots of love and thanks, you are doing a great job. My stay in Budapest was so nice because of you!

very caring, friendly, & helpful staff :) cozy space and more of a small, intimate feel for a hostel. didn’t love that smoking is allowed inside (only on the upper “loft” above the common area but the smell was quite strong). beds/pillows not super comfortable but it’s a hostel after all

Carpe Noctem Hostel, located in a 19th-century building, is a lively and budget-friendly accommodation option in Budapest. It's known for its social atmosphere and affordability, making it popular among solo travelers looking to meet new friends and groups seeking a fun environment. With almost 4k reviews, this party hostel offers a homely stay with organized nightly trips to explore the vibrant Budapest nightlife. Despite being small, the rooms are spacious and well-maintained.
Booked a bed here last minute without a full appreciation of its legendary status as a Budapest party hostel, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Even for someone who admittedly would not call themselves a “partier,” Carpe provided a sociable, respectful, and clean place to call home for a few nights. I met some very cool people during my stay, got to experience Budapest’s nightlife, and they even have air conditioning to boot!
Jack S — Google review
Its a solid hostel, the staff were friendly and helpful, there was free coffee and I didn’t have to pay for a towel which was a pleasant surprise - it did indeed feel like “staying at a mates place” Good quality beds and the bathrooms were regularly cleaned throughout the day. They run events that are solely focused on drinking, nothing wrong with that as it’s marketed as a party hostel, but a daytime city tour or something similar would have been nice. The events are a daily bottomless brunch together with guests from their sister hostel “Vitae” and the hostel also joins the various Budapest nighttime events such as the river booze cruise and party bus. I definitely recommend this hostel to other solo travellers!
Karol S — Google review
One of the worst hostels I’ve stayed in. For €60 a night, it was dirty, the mattress was terrible, and the towel had stains. Staff tried to overcharge me twice and were unprofessional, more focused on flirting than helping. No respect in the dorms—people had sex openly on the first night. The whole place felt uncomfortable and sketchy. I’ve stayed in better, cheaper hostels in Budapest. Not worth it at all. Dont understand the good rating.
Guillaume R — Google review
Great spot. I picked it for location/price and was really only there to sleep (so I didn’t go for the party/communal aspect as much) and it was still a nice stay. Quiet hours were respected, staff cleaned daily, and reception was open late and was super flexible. The people working and running this place are really exceptional and it’s a solid spot if you’re looking to explore and mingle
Virginia K — Google review
Such a awesome hostel, we were welcomed with open arms by the staff and felt instantly comfortable. All of the organised events were great fun and gave us the opportunity to make some great friends. We love you Carpe!
Vita M — Google review
Best Hostel Ever! Nothing quite like it in the entire world. Extremely communal that has staff making sure everyone gets involved, from the most outgoing extrovert to the reserved introvert. If you are in Budapest and in the mood for some responsible degeneracy, Carpe Noctem is definitely your go to. Even though I have only stayed for 6 days, it felt like I have made life long friends in that time and will definitely return if I am ever in town again. There are daily activities and family dinner that ranges around 4000-10000 Huf in total which I think you should take full advantage of to get the most out of your stay. Bear in mind to come in with some respect and always be courteous to the staff even though they might be casual and never take their kindness for weakness. With that being said, to my favourite staff, Ramunė : Jūs esate geriausias!

Fantastic place! Rupert is great. He taught me all I know about having safe sex. He even bought me condoms. 11/10 stay. Great for solo travellers

The location is far off tbh and they don't accept cards and that's just weird and shady in 2025. Edit: to clarify I canceled because I visited the area and its far from downtown. Second anybody writing to bring cash because they don't accept cards is possibly involved in something fishy. Of course that's a massive red flag and I had to cancel when I noticed it.

Maverick Hostel & Ensuites Budapest offers a mix of simple dorms and private rooms within a chic setting. Housed in a fully-renovated royal mansion, the hostel provides a cultural experience with its stunning historic building built by the Hapsburg dynasty. Its central location near top city attractions makes it convenient for travelers to explore Budapest.
Location: Centrally located in Budapest, close to the airport bus stop, metro, and local transport. The building itself is a beautiful, historic structure. Communication: The staff was incredibly easy to communicate with, both before and during my stay. They were very considerate of guests’ special needs and preferences. Rooms: The 6-bed room was surprisingly spacious, making it comfortable for everyone. Cleanliness: The hostel was very clean overall. The bed mattresses, pillows, and duvets were of excellent quality and new, with no stains, and everything was freshly ironed. Services: Towels are included, and there’s 24-hour access to coffee and tea. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, and the living room provides a comfortable space for all guests. The reception offers help and service around the clock. Staff: The staff was exceptionally friendly and always ready to help. Room for improvement: The only thing I’d suggest improving is the cleaning staff's breakfast schedule. From about 7:30 to 8:45 every morning, they use the kitchen, which makes it difficult for guests to access the limited seating in such a small space.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other travelers should be aware of what to expect. Unfortunately, my stay here was quite disappointing. The apartment has a cheap, window-mounted AC unit that blocks the only window, so there’s no way to get fresh air. The bed is placed on a makeshift second floor, and none of the cool air reaches that level — it’s incredibly hot up there. As soon as you lie down, you start sweating profusely. I had to sleep downstairs just to avoid overheating, which unfortunately led to me getting sick and staying unwell for the entire 5-day stay. To make matters worse, the AC is extremely loud and makes it very hard to sleep. The bathroom constantly smelled of sewage and was never cleaned during my stay, despite the listing promising daily housekeeping. Towels were not replaced even once, and the soap ran out by day 4. In the kitchen, a sign asks guests to wash their dishes — but every dish was dirty and left unwashed, which made things feel even less sanitary. Everything in the apartment is outdated and in serious need of maintenance. It’s clear the owner is cutting corners, from the poor AC choice to the lack of basic hospitality. With a bit of care and investment, the place could improve, but as it stands now, I would not recommend it.

the location is excellent .. you have connections to anything you want .. central .. to the airport etc ... I had no problems, but I understand that there were guests who had problems !! as for the experience everything is very good value for money. The bathroom and shower were very clean and the staff very friendly. I travel frequently and I can say that I would return with pleasure.

All the beds don't have privacy. No curtains, no dividers. Snoring inhabitant. Main light wakes everyone up as no personal lights installed. Fairly good shower cabins, but 1 had very old leaking shower head, no soap in the shower and broaken hairdryer. However, towels had been provided for free. Staff was really friendly. Bottom line. If you don't care about facilities and roommates but valuing location ---that's your place.

EDIT after 2 weeks: DONT STAY AT HERE… my bed bug bites were persistently red, swollen n itchy (last pic). Srsly affected my daily life now… Pros: location is super convenient, metro/bus stations/cafes/supermarkets r all just downstairs. ***Cons: cleanliness is a concern, I got bitten by possibly bed bugs here (both my arms, hands, n some on my waist). I hv travelled in 40 countries so far n hv stayed at numerous hotels, airbnbs, hostels but this is the first time I got bitten so… another thing is the noise, as it’s just besides the main road, the place never gets quiet even wif the windows shut. N the toilet kept making noises (everytime u turn on the tap/shower, the toilet will make a flushing sound. This gets very annoying esp when someone is showering/using the wc early in the morning or late at night). There r also no bed curtains, offering less privacy n one might easily affect/be affected by other roommates (esp when we all hv different sleeping schedules n travelling plans). I hv stayed in another hostel in Budapest before (near the central market), n honestly I would rather walk a few more mins but stay at cleaner, quieter, n more private rooms.

I honestly did not know what to expect when booking this hostel but it was one of the cheaper options with good reviews so I booked it. My sister and I absolutely loved it the staff were very accommodating and were truly there for the guests. Its location is right near some of the best clubs in Budapest. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a great place to stay especially if you’re younger and plan on going out at night. I stayed there for 4 stays and not sure why they cancelled booking in system. These hostel is about sharing 2 toilets with 40+ people and no sleep at night .These people only know 1 word party and party. Photos are deception. That doesn't look really that good. I have to follow 40 mins for lockers. If you are below 30 and into parties and prefer sharing so many toilets go for it.

I had done the reservation and paid for the money for a few nights. I could hardly enter the building and walked up to the rooms. I showed the receptionist my reservation and passport. I was shocked to hear that she did not accept me to the youth hostel as I was over forty. Then I asked her to give me a piece of paper saying that I was not accepted. She said no. They could have told me this before. They do discrimination on ages. I was cheated by the hostel

The hostel is fine to stay at, with friendly and approachable staff. It’s clean, and the makeup counter is a nice bonus. However, we were absolutely freezing in our room because there was no heating. The staff looked at it multiple times however it did not get turned on or resolved in the two days we were there. It was quite an uncomfortable stay and considering the price we were left cold and disappointed.

Staying at this hostel was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hostel is managed by young students and travelers and the atmosphere is so open and friendly to everyone who stays at the hostel. To me this place felt like a little family. Every night the staff organizes creative activities in and out of the hostel for very reasonable prices. I visited together with a friend, but most other visitors were traveling alone and had no trouble whatsoever finding company and having an incredible time. Being back home is sad to me now because I miss this hostel just so much:((

Shantee House is a vibrant and unconventional hostel located in Budapest's Castle District. It offers a range of accommodations including private and dorm rooms, as well as the unique Mongolian Yurt-tent for summer stays. The hostel features a tranquil garden, a bar, and is conveniently situated near local attractions and public transportation. Guests can enjoy amenities such as free Wi-Fi, a full kitchen, and pet-friendly options upon request.
I absolutely adored staying here. It is a bit far from the city center, but it is incredibly easy to get to the center. The building and the rooms are beautiful. It always smells so nice and there is gentle water/nature sounds playing. The bathrooms, kitchen, rooms, everything were so clean and tidy. I wish I would've had an extra day in my trip, just to stay and relax at the hostel. I would 100% recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet/calm/relaxing place.

Shantee House Hostel in Budapest is a true gem! The host is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel instantly at home. The place is spotless, with clean bathrooms and cozy, well-kept rooms. Its peaceful, home-like environment is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The garden and communal spaces are great for meeting fellow travelers. It’s more than just a hostel—it’s an experience filled with positive vibes. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Budapest!

Calm and serene place within walkable distance from the city center. Both the hosts and fellow travelers staying here has been super nice and it gives of a nice homely vibe. Here is a kitchen in which you can prepare your own meals, a common room with some board games and a great outdoors area with a relaxed vibe.

It’s a wonderful place. It doesn’t even feel like a hostel — more like a hotel :) At the entrance, you’re welcomed by a lady named Bori. I actually thought she was the owner of the place, but she’s not. Honestly, I don’t know if even the owner would show as much care and attention as she does. She’s an amazing woman — you absolutely have to meet her! The hostel does have a few downsides and things that could be improved, but I personally didn’t mind them much. One issue is that it’s hard to find a nearby supermarket. Another is the limited food options — if you want to eat something, you need to go to the city center. As for things that could be improved, there are a lot of mosquitoes, so mosquito nets should be installed on all the windows. That would make the place even better. Also, the shower curtains are a bit too short 😅 On the plus side, it’s located in a very quiet and peaceful area. I haven’t stayed anywhere this calm and relaxing in a long time. I highly recommend it to everyone. Enjoy your stay!

The best hostel in Budapest, the owner is a super great guy, the room great, the beds super comfortable, all clean , the kitchen equipped with all the things, the garden is awesome for chill, relax and work and off course the volunteer crew always nice and helpful. Super value for money. I been there 7 times and will back for sure every time I will be in Budapest..

The owner nice. The manager lady sadly was a bit rough due I let my luggage overnight there after I agreed with the evening receptionist guy, it's fine to do so. I stayed several times in the hostel, no problem ever earlier. I suggest not to be put any stress on the guests and unfairly accusing them moreover if the intention was correct.Thank you.

Wow! One of the best Hostels I ever stayed (and I have been travelling for 1,5 years full time). Very chill atmosphere, nice garden and a super friendly receptionist. I felt like home immediately. He even gave me some Forint after paying in euro and a bathing cap for the thermal baths. The Hostel has been there for a long while and you can see lots of great details the more you walk around. I recommend the little room at the top! Super cozy. I recommend booking on the website, bc then it’s cheaper than on Hostelworld.

Adagio Hostel 2.0 Basilica is a modern and stylish hostel located in a Renaissance revival palace designed by Hungarian architect Adolf Feszty. Situated on the central Andrassy Avenue, it offers functional quarters with contemporary decor, including private rooms and dorms. The hostel provides access to an outdoor terrace, free tea and coffee, a steam room, board games, and DVDs for entertainment.
It’s clean and organized. The basin can be a bit too small. The room has many beds and some kids return at 4am after party and it’s hard to get a good night sleep . Location is perfect on a blvd with luxury stores. I will come back if needed . Price is very good. The receptionists are kind and professional. The room has 8 beds and it’s hard to get to the bathroom or shower at one point . I changed the bed to the loft that is quite nice . It’s like a hotel room
Maria F — Google review
There is no sign for the hostel on the street so it is not easy to find. I have added a photo of the gate you must go in from the street and the second gate you go in then from the alleyway. If gates aren’t open you dial 12 on the panel to get buzzed in. I was in an 8 bed dorm on the front of the building. It was very clean and the shower was warm with good pressure. The ladders down from the top bunks are very awkward to use. If you are a light sleeper bring good earplugs or don’t book here. The road noise was relentless with cars, motorbikes, sirens and people shouting. It sounded as if they were in the room!! The curtains do not cover the length of the bed so you will need to use your sheet or a towel for privacy. Towel is not included in your stay. It will cost €1. Staff on the desk are friendly and helpful. Location is great, with easy access to shops, sights, restaurants and public transport.

Great hostel, in the center of the city. It was super clean, and quiet. To be honest we clearly had the best beds in the room because they were a bit separate from the others and we had a fan. The kitchen’s fine, if only everyone would wash their dishes…
Noémie — Google review
Shower/bathroom in the room can be good or bad, if all the occupants leave the same day in the morning you better wake up early to take a shower. They make you pay to leave the luggage after check out, the Ryanair of the hostel. Free towels, padlock to be paid. Kitchen so so, big but with nothing in it. Expensive laundry service. Location is very good.
Tom — Google review
The hostel was clean and centrally located, but our private room was very stuffy. Although the listing mentioned air-conditioned rooms, we weren’t given a remote. When we asked, the receptionist said air conditioning is only available “from summer onwards,” even though it was already hot in May. We explained there was no air circulation, and the only solution offered by them to us was to keep the balcony doors open. However, this was not practical at all, as the balcony faced a busy main road, and that would make it extremely noisy and impossible to sleep. Even after explaining that, there was nothing they could do. We also reported a broken light, one of the main lights in the room, and that was never fixed. Overall, not a comfortable experience though the location was great.
Deepa S — Google review
Terrible. 1. To even find the hostel, you have to go through two doors in a building with no signs. There are four floors, and no one tells you which one it’s on or gives you the door code before check-in. 2. The bunk beds are oddly built. Some are really high up, and while there are curtains, they don’t fully close and don’t fully block the view from the top bunks. 3. It was over 30°C when I stayed and although there’s aircon in the room, they don’t bother turning it on. No fan either, so the rooms are basically ovens. 4: After check-out, if you want to leave your luggage, it’s 2 euros per hour. 5. Dirty dishes left piled up overnight in the kitchen sink because no one seems to clean up after themselves. Would not recommend.
Andrew L — Google review
Unfortunately a male guest in the hostel is making me feeling very uncomfortable, so I went to the staff and to seek help. And the staff told me that guy will be checking out later that day and he’ll record this incident letting his colleagues to handle with this issue. Without telling me there is room to switch to later that day, I booked another hotel to stay in since I was terrified. Since these happened very early in the morning, I went out got a coffee to calm myself down a little bit and went back to the hostel to wait till the check-in time for another place. At that point of time I thought that guy has left/ about to leave, which obviously he was still here. So I went to the reception telling them what they said earlier that that guy will leave doesn’t seem to be right… The blonde lady promises me that the guy has left until I gave her a warm invitation to walk 20 steps away from the reception to the room to see that guy’s belongings still there. Then realising that they messed up the person who was following me and harassing me. And the other male receptionist came to me with very short haircut asking me why I go back to their place after having a guest harassing in their place and said it is not a harassment if the guest did not physically touch me. As if it’s my problem and I don’t get the right to stay in a place where I paid for and it’s him to decide the appropriateness how a male should approach a female. I’m really disappointed and furious on how the staff handled this situation. They refuse to refund stating there’s no problem with the hostel. Hmm.. well to me the way the staff dealing with this incident, shitty WiFi, clogged drain in the shower that you can literally take a bath in and no air conditioning in the midday when the sun is high up in the sky (which is not stated on the web) seem obvious hostel problems if you want me to name some. Anyway, any females who are to book this place, I hope you stay safe and be reminded there’s a high chance you will be neglected if you bumped into a similar situation like me. And to this hostel, I’d like to receive a refund because I would love to not having my money supporting your business. But if you insist that it’s non refundable, it’s okay, I’ve got enough money in my bank account luckily and I’m more than happy if I could spend this little to write a review here warning other girls that it’s not an ideal place for girls to stay in your place. I’m not as desperate as your business.🙂

It was difficult to find the hostel at first. I cam late and couldn't come in through the door by the street at first. Someone living there opened it, as he wanted to go inside. After that, the service was nice. The curtains of the bed are not covering enough, so I needed my own sleep mask to get it dark. Also the location is near to a loud street. It is nice for going to bars at night but not so sleeping.

We rented an apartment for a week. The flat is very spacious and the beds are comfortable. Clean and well maintained. The kitchen was more than adequate. Great location near many attractions and a metro stop nearby. The staff were wonderful! We unfortunately had a small incident during our week, and the hostel staff went above and beyond to help us out. Amazing!

Such a lovely place to stay! The staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything we needed, which made us feel very welcome. Our room, including the bathroom, was spotless and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. There's no elevator so you have to walk all the way up to the upper floors. On each floor there are little notes on the walls showing how many steps you’ve taken, which I found really cute. Of course, climbing up can be a bit tiring, but honestly the building is so beautiful, with a stunning courtyard, that it’s totally worth it. I absolutely loved it! The location is also excellent. Just a short walk to metro stations, making it very easy to get around the city. Plus, the neighborhood itself is full of nice spots, whether you want to grab a meal, enjoy a coffee, or sit down for a drink at a bar. Overall, it was a wonderful stay from start to finish.

Let’s start from the beginning - the location right across the national museum is amazing. The building itself is majestic, the style of the hostel is incredible and I loved that it was consistent everywhere from the hallways to your bathroom. The reception is absolutely breathtaking, original, gorgeous! The staff was so nice to us even thought arrived almost at midnight and then we asked for extra pillows which was no problem at all. Our room / apartment was so nice and cozy, we loved every inch of it! It was our first visit in Budapest and we couldn’t pick a better accommodation for that, we absolutely loved it and we’re looking forward to coming again! The only two things were 1) no elevator but stairs are doable and for the building worth it! 2) the apartment was too hot and we were not able to regulate the heating (maybe it would help to ask the staff about it but we were too lazy I guess…). Overall highly recommended!

Great hostel to stay in and very friendly staff especially Anita. Very cosy and unique rooms. Everything is very clean. Only issue is that reception is in the top floor so you need to have strong muscles to carry your luggage by stairs. Helped us burn calories so no complaints. Entrance might be confusing for first time travelers but get really close to the door and dial the hostel number Very close to major tourist attractions.

Amazing experience! A different concept of hostel with great location and decoration! Liked · The location is the best in Budapest. It's close to all main public transportation systems. The decoration is amazing, special and unique. It's a hostel that makes you feel a guest at someone's house. It's an experience I've never had. There is a fully-equipped kitchen that you can use at anytime. The receptionist was very kind and informative. Disliked · I didn't like that the toilet was outside my room, but it's just a detail that did not bother us at all. The whole environment of the hostel makes it worth it!
Caio S — Google review
A great hostel! We stayed in a private room with shared bathrooms which was very comfortable. We never had to wait for the bathroom or shower, either. The front desk staff were kind and helpful with recommendations if you were looking for them. And the room was clean and comfortable and funky with all the interesting drawings. The building was also cool and felt very safe, with many locked doors in between us and the street, though there were many flights of stairs up to the room. We didn’t spend much time in the common space but that was also a cool area. Wifi was a bit slow in our room since we were further away from the common area, but it worked great closer by. The only downside to the hostel was that our room was on a loud street- not a big deal since we are both deep sleepers but lighter sleepers would do well with earplugs. A great stay though, and we’d recommend it!
Taylor G — Google review
The hosts are lovely! The decor of each room is unique and has character! The room we had faced the main street and surprisingly not noisy! Plenty of space for up to 6 medium sized adults! Well thought out with the power sockets extensions placements! Our room had the ensuite. There's a communal gathering area by reception, with fridges and kitchen. Partner has the photos on her phone (out of memory on mine). Your journey begins downstairs.

First time you step on the apartment, you can think it s not good but if you be patient and reach the hostel you will like this cozy place. Dont compare it to other places but the hostels, it has warm ambience, colorful walls, polite people inside. They are well prepared and give us a paper all we need to know. ( restaurant and cafe advices included) you can prepare coffee for free:) and for me the most important thing is cleaning. Everything was clean. The location is perfect and it was really cheap. Just enjoy it. Thank you all lavender staff💙

Central Market Hall Zen Hostel is a charming and comfortable accommodation option for travelers in Budapest. With nearly 2000 positive reviews, the hostel's inviting atmosphere and clean, spacious rooms have left guests impressed. Situated just a kilometer away from popular attractions, the hostel offers convenience and a homely feel. The friendly staff provide helpful tips on nearby dining options and sightseeing locations. Guests can also enjoy socializing in the communal areas or join planned activities through a dedicated WhatsApp group.
The highlight of my stay was the receptionists (Brenda and Milani) who were so kind! Both went out of their way to help. The bed I had was extremely comfortable, a double bed in a more private space of the room. The hostel shared room layout is unique and fun. The price, location, and space is great! There are two sections of the all girls area so the noise in the first part maybe is a little more. There’s a second building that is a bit of a walk which may be a con (my room was in the main building) Free tea and coffee all day is a plus. Good common area to socialize.

One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in! Very calming and ‘zen’ vibe, everyone was really nice and I was actually able to sleep! The staff were all lovely and very helpful, Sisi made some great recommendations for things to do around the city. Will definitely be staying here if I return to Budapest!

We booked suitcase storage for the day through Radical Storage. I do not recommend. Can’t say anything about the hostel itself - might be great but our experience with this wasn’t. We were charged additional 12€ for ‘Safety‘ with suitcases that just stood around in a hostel lounge. Don’t really get that to be honest 🤷

True to its promotion, the place is beautiful and exudes a Zen vibe. I reserved a private room in an apartment, which was clean and well-equipped with amenities and a kitchen. Lyanne, who attended to me, was incredibly friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely return whenever I visit Budapest again!

Bed bugs, and staff who showed little concern about it. While upon arrival we were happy, shortly after getting into bed, my friend noticed some bites on his chest. Upon further inspection there was a bed bug larvae with blood beside me, and then a bed bug on my bag, and another on the bed. There was also review from 2 days before stating the same issue. This was clearly not remedied, they said it was in another room. This probably just shows they have a wider infestation. My friend and I then spent form 1 to 6 am getting to a laundromat to clean and dry are clothes. The staff in the morning offered little apologies, and did not offer a refund. Once we asked, they even had the gall to ask if 50% was ok, even though we spent nearly 30 euros to clean are clothes as well. We were there until 15:00 waiting and saw no indication of fumigation or moving guest to other rooms. Stay at your own risk.

Self-catering accommodation
Pal's Mini Hostel is a straightforward accommodation option offering relaxed dorms, rooms, and apartments with a communal kitchen. Situated in the trendy Octagon Square near Andrassy Avenue, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning architecture, this hostel attracts a cool backpacker crowd due to its central location and proximity to vibrant nightlife. With only 7 bright and colorful rooms, it provides a luxurious stay for travelers who value both exploration and rest.
I stayed with two friends, and when we first arrived, there was no one at the reception. We received instructions over the phone from the owner for the check-in process. Overall, the accommodation was good; the room and bathrooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. Since we went during the off-season, only two rooms were occupied, so we didn’t experience any noise issues. We were satisfied with our stay, thank you. I recommend it.

Dreadful experience! The owner called me and told the single room I booked was NOT AVAILABLE, because someone else is living there. Apparently, there has been a mistake done by either one the employees or their system. He then suggested I move in into a dorm room that has just recently been disinfected from BUGS. I refused to move in there, because I have severe asthma and allergies, and there is a real possibility for me to end up in a hospital or needing an inhaler, in such conditions. When I said it, the owner became very rude to me, talking over me, raising his voice, ignoring my worries and my opinion on my own health! Moreover, I don't have to be in a dorm room at all, as I booked a single room, that was occupied! He said that If I won't move in, I will lose the money, as there will be no refund. It was their mistake, they didn't provide the room I paid for, and still they took my money. When you take money for nothing, it's called stealing. So I think, people should know how he talks and manages affairs with potential clients.

The place is not wheelchair accessible (once inside the building has like five steps to access the elevator) but I knew it beforehand so that's not actually negative. The guy at the front desk was extremely kind and helped me out with everything I needed. The front desk guy is not at the hostel 24/7, but always available on demand via whatsapp. Location is perfect for touring around, plenty of mass transit options, and the price is really good. You can hear some noise coming from the street during the day. Rooms are beautiful, clean, neat, safe. Absolutely recommended!

Very nice hostel. Everything is clean, very few carpets, which means few parasites. All the laundry smells like fresh wash. A complete wet cleaning was done before us. High ceilings. Homely environment, decent shower, clean toilet, kitchen, everything you need. Great location with a beautiful view. I would be happy to come back here again.

This is a nice hostel for a low key vibe. The double private room was quite affordable at around 27€. There’s also rooms with bunk beds. The location is central at Oktagon and directly across from a tram stop. They kindly accepted a last minute booking and sent a video about how to arrive. There was a fan in the room, which was helpful with the heat. The reception is not there 24/7 so check-in has to be coordinated, but they were responsive and asked me for my arrival time and provided a number to let them know when I was close. They have a kitchen, fridge, and cupboards. The bathrooms and showers were suitable. The common area is a nice work space or social space, and there is a terrace for enjoying a cup of coffee or smoking. The room was clean with nice bedding. The bunk beds didn’t appear to have curtains. I highly recommend the private room. My only concerns were that the WiFi wasn’t quite fast enough to handle Zoom calls, and there were some noisy guests late into the night and without an employee there, it continued for a bit. I would still highly recommend this hostel for someone needing a low-key, calm option who isn’t in need of 24/7 staff presence, planned social events, or “party hostel” vibes. Also important to note is that there is an elevator but you must walk about 5-6 steps to get to it, so it is not fully accessible for all mobility levels or wheelchair-friendly.

The a&o Hostel Budapest City offers a contemporary and bold style with functional minimalism. Located in the vibrant District VII, it features streamlined dorms and rooms, a bar, shared kitchen, and a fairy-lit courtyard. The hostel provides 24-hour reception, billiards, and table football. Nearby are numerous pubs and ruin bars for guests to explore.
We stayed there twice, booking a family room for 4. Both stays were pleasant in very clean, very quiet and large rooms on the 3rd floor. The German guy and the Turkish guy at the reception were both very helpful and professional. We would stay there again if we visit lovely Budapest one more time. And one recommendation. There is a nice green park nearby with a very nice Cafe. The lady working there is also very friendly and has great Cafe & Croissant. Next to the park there is a local market where you can buy delicious local cheese and fresh bakery. We loved it.

I recently stayed at A&O Hostel Budapest and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent, most of the key historical and cultural attractions are within a 2 km radius, making it very convenient for sightseeing and exploring the city on foot. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always ready to assist with queries and provide guidance. Their welcoming attitude added a positive touch to the experience. I was allotted a corner room, which was generally fine, but it did not have a fan. This made the room slightly uncomfortable at times, especially during warmer hours. Apart from this, everything else was good, and the facilities met expectations for a hostel stay. In summary, A&O Hostel Budapest offers great value for money, with its prime location and supportive staff being its biggest strengths. A small improvement like providing fans in all rooms would make the stay even more comfortable.

This hotel is very comfortable. We were here because of a school trip and the location was excellent because everything in the city was easily reachable from there. Some rooms only have one window that can only be opened a little bit, which turns the room temperature up a lot, but aside from that, everything else was good. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. We enjoyed our visit here, thank you :)

TGood location, but disappointing stay Good location and friendly staff, but the room was very dusty, especially around the upper bunks. Too few hooks — by the time we arrived, others had taken them all. The shower was tiny with no shelf, bed linen had holes, and the bathroom wall was dirty, so I had to clean it myself. Only one coffee machine for many guests, long queues in the morning. Could be nicer with better cleaning and small fixes.

I stayed 2 nights in female dorm. Inroom shower and toilet. Clean bed sheet, strong hot water. 24 hours reception. People are helpful. Except occasionally some noise from outside, I have no issue with the hostel at all. Exceeded my expectations. Location is perfect, a bit off the main street, in between regional bus station and train station. I actually walked from Budapest train station, and walked to old town, not that far.

First off, this is a hostel. I don't like staying for multiple days at the same hostel - lack of security for my items left in room during day if strangers share the same room. I was in a 4 person room - 1 bunk bed and 2 single beds. Room was pretty small. No fridge. Had to store suitcases under bed. No visitors in room after 10 pm. No alcohol consumption in room. Room had AC. Room doors were locked, and we had keys. My room had private bathroom. Hostel is a big building with alot of rooms. As part of a festival, the organizers booked the rooms for us. If you are okay with hostels, this is good place to stay. 2-3 blocks away from Metro.

Disgusting hostel with zero attention to Hygiene. We had bed bugs crawling around our room, beds, and clothes later on. After notifying the reception they said we could definitely change our room before explaining that all rooms are booked and a change won't be possible so you have to sleep another two nights with the bugs. Total disgrace!

The accommodation includes clean and comfortable sleeping pods with privacy curtains, lights, plugs, and hangers. There are also showers, toilets, and a designated area for getting ready in the morning. The lodge features a bar serving good food as well as chill-out spaces both inside and on the rooftop.
Very clean hostel with everything you need. The shower cabins are separate and offer plenty of privacy, and the beds come with curtains, which makes it feel calm and cozy. A special thanks to Suzy at the reception! She was super kind and helped me find the best restaurants and events. Highly recommended!

I loved this hostel so much. It’s quiet but it has activities, the room was amazing, clean and comfy. It was a private room and had everything you could need. The breakfast was the best I had in a while. Fresh pancakes, fruit, eggs, you could even do your own fresh juice. Special thanks to ATA and Niki who are just the best. Definitely recommend!
Olivia S — Google review
Had a decent stay here! The private rooms were just alright- pros and cons actually! We stayed in one of the attic rooms- so could do star gazing at night. The room was also spacious, but the bed was not so comfortable. Also the room didn’t even have a kettle- maybe they could think of putting one in these private rooms rather than the fake Ikea plant decor. The service was however excellent- the receptionists were very sweet. I also found it great that one could book the tickets to the thermal bath via the hotel and they provided free towels and flip flops! This was very convenient.

The hotel was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, the excellent service and professional attitude of the staff were clearly noticeable. The cleanliness of the rooms was outstanding, and everything was perfectly organized. The hotel’s facilities were complete and high-quality, making our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Finally, a special thank you to Soroush for his great support and his respectful and friendly behavior. We truly appreciate all his efforts! 🌟🙏

Social, clean, friendly hostel with great facilities and amazing staff and in a central location (shoutout to Suzy and Livia at the front desk). Multiple kitchens, complimentary tea and coffee, clean rooms and bathrooms, music in the bathrooms (why does nowhere else do this???), fun social events on! Friendly energy here from staff and guests!! Great communication - all info you need is provided on checkin AND on your key card so you dont miss out on anything (like whatsapp group etc).

Absolutely loved my stay here, the rooms, the kitchen and the bathroom are clean. The locker in my room was spacious enough to carry my suitcase and my backpacks. The lobby has a nice bar and restaurant and they have great daily events where you can meet new friends. Absolutely recommend it!

Full Moon Hostel Budapest is a vibrant and unique accommodation option in the heart of the city. The hostel offers a variety of stylish private rooms and dormitories, all equipped with private bathrooms and air conditioning. Guests can enjoy free access to the popular student bar, Morrisons 2, located downstairs in the inner courtyard, featuring multiple dance floors, a karaoke room, and even a weekly beer-pong tournament.
We where on a school trip, at first it was a little bit scary because the whole hostel was open and the design was old fashioned. The building was a little weird too, it was like small group apartments. For our age and trip in general was good. Be careful of the club downstairs, it's loud but ok
Maria P — Google review
Avoid this hotel at all costs! The corridors are packed with screaming young people all night, making sleep impossible. The hotel shares an entrance with a nightclub, and there’s another club on the same floor – the noise level is unbearable. The reception staff are rude and have no sense of service. This place doesn’t even deserve one star!
Shantia K — Google review
We stayed at Full Moon Budapest at August. While checking in we told the receptionist that we bought a room with breakfast but we won't be able to eat our last breakfast because we have to check out very early and there was no option to cancel earlier breakfast that day. The receptionist told us that it isn't a problem and boxes with breakfast would be waiting for us at reception during check out. Unfortunately nothing like that happened. In the morning we came to the reception and there were no boxes, no information from the staff where to grab it, nothing. In addition to that we used taxi service recommended by people from the reception. We were informed that it will cost 40-50 euros so about 15000 forint which is already more than prices shown by other taxi companies that ranged between 10000 to 13000 forint. In the end driver requested us to pay a shocking price of 20000 forint which is almost 60 euros. Such dishonest treatment is outraging. It's not only anti-bussines but also unfair. I'm dissapointed and I will do everything to tout that story so noone else gets tricked. We tried to contact with the hotel but we were left on read, without any response. Definetly do not recommend.
Ania W — Google review
It was a nice hostel with low price. We have been there for school trip and for 17 years old it was fun because it was like a mini apartment. My room was clean and big
Evi V — Google review
We stayed at Full Moon Hostel for 9 days — my younger sister, my cousin, and I. What started off as a promising experience turned into a nightmare of poor hygiene and health issues. ✅ The good (because there was some): • The location is unbeatable. Super central, well connected, and ideal for getting around Budapest. • We genuinely liked the room at first — functional, comfortable, and well laid out. • Breakfast was decent, with good variety. • A big plus: the free access to Morrison’s 2 nightclub, located just downstairs. If you’re young and into nightlife, that part is definitely a win. ❌ What ruined everything: Unfortunately, the entire stay was overshadowed by a severe cleanliness and hygiene problem. • Bedbugs. Yes, actual bedbugs. My cousin and sister were literally eaten alive throughout the stay, covered in bites all over their bodies. This wasn’t just uncomfortable — it was a health hazard. It turned our trip into a constant itch-filled struggle, and it’s completely unacceptable. • Chaotic and careless cleaning. On the first day, we had regular bed sheets. After “cleaning” came in, they took the sheets away and never brought new ones, leaving us to sleep with only mattress and pillow covers. Combine that with the bedbugs, and it was one of the worst sleeping situations we’ve ever experienced. • Cleaning staff entered without knocking, even while we were sleeping. They didn’t actually clean — just made the beds (without sheets), changed towels, and left. The floor stayed dirty the entire time. We often saw them smoking during work hours, reinforcing the feeling that they simply didn’t care. • Uncomfortable breakfast environment. The staff would eat in the guest dining area during breakfast time, and their attitude made guests feel unwelcome. It’s one thing for staff to take breaks — it’s another to eat among guests while giving off cold, unfriendly vibes. • No laundry facilities, which was a huge drawback for a 9-day stay. We really missed having that option. ⚖️ Final thoughts: This hostel has potential: great location, nightlife access, and a decent room layout. But none of that matters when you leave with your body covered in bites and the sinking feeling that you slept in a trap disguised as a hostel. I do not recommend this place for long stays, or for anyone who values basic hygiene and respect for guests. If you’re just staying one night and going out to party, you might get by. But unless they urgently fix the bedbug issue and completely revamp their cleaning standards, this place is nothing more than a pretty facade hiding a hygiene disaster.

Rented a room for three, very large, plenty of space, came with kitchen, bathroom and main room, good airco . Centrally located, easy access to all attractions and close to danube
Dannan L — Google review
the hotel is very centrally located with many bus and tram stops around. the room is very spacious with big windows and sunlights. the hotel staffs are friendly and actually the music is not that loud (personally it doesn’t disturb me at all).
Huong P — Google review
AVOID! NO IDEA WHERE IS THIS HIGH SCORE COMING FROM! Something that should be in the title of this hostel is "Loud night club in the middle of the building that goes on until 5/6 AM". Very unpleasant surprise. We were supposedly in a quiet room - although all windows and doors were closed, we were able to hear the music clearly and loudly. No exaggeration the bass was moving the mattress. We changed room after the first night as we got hardly any sleep and although we were put in much better room we were still available to hear the music. Another issue we had was with the bathroom. Not just that it was tiny, literally 1x1m, but there was no door just shower curtain that was either sticking to your body or doing zero job and all floor was wet after that. The shower head holder was stuck the way the water was hitting the curtain and was not adjustable. We were given a towel each and when I asked for additional for my hair I was told there is extra 3 euros charge, but the worse was that they have 3 days cleaning policy, which means no clean towel for 3 says or you have to pay 3 euros to get one *if they have it of course*. If you are there for sleep and shower this 100% is not your place!

Nestled in a stunning building, NETIZEN Budapest Centre is the perfect haven for both digital nomads and families looking for a stylish hostel experience. With its bright and modern design, this hybrid hostel features an array of co-working spaces, making it ideal for those who need to stay productive while traveling. Guests can enjoy the on-site café and bar that boasts a lovely skylight, or whip up their own meals in the communal kitchen.
Has really good facilities and is there is a metro line right outside which is very easy to understand. The staff were great and the breakfast was perfect. The only thing to be aware of is that the men’s and women’s bathrooms are very far apart, so on many occasions I (female) had men in the women’s bathroom, which is difficult for the staff to police. And the walls are very thin. The hostel is located close to a few clubs so be aware that it may be VERY loud in the early morning.
Tarryn M — Google review
stayed for 2 days, rooms are comfortable, but the breakfast was disappointing, variety of the food was quite poor. also hygiene kit was not involved to the package, you just have soap and shampoo in the room. You should bring toothpaste and toothbrush with you, otherwise it’s 1-3 euros to buy hygiene kits from reception+ location was perfect, the hotel is near 2 subway stations and you can walk almost any destination from here
Melis Y — Google review
Picked it randomly, but if I return to Budapest one day - will definitely choose this hostel. Everything was perfect. Friendly and hardworking personnel, there were so many people and they still managed to help everyone without any mistakes. I like the interior - so bright, so clean, have everything needed. I did not order anything, but you can eat here. The towel is included in the rent price, that was a great surprise. You can rent the lock to close your shelf, but only for cash. Clean bathrooms, clean rooms. Pillow, blanket and mattress were super comfortable. The only negative thing I mentioned is the fact that I can hear if the neighbours in other rooms are noisy. So if you have problem with that - take earplugs. But for sure recommended!

“My second time in hostel. First time 7 days now 5 , the best hostel in Budapest ( I tried avenue and one I. Dob utza ) when you compare price, location, room and how is...” “Perfect place. Super easy to organize, nice dude at the reception. Everything is clean, attractive price, well set up. Highly recommended!”

Very clean big rooms but toilets are super dirty. Housekeeping needs to improve. Big coworking space but not well cleaned. Location is pretty central
SANGBID K — Google review
I would not recommend this hostel to anyone. The reception staff is friendly, but the housekeeping staff aren’t. I booked and paid for a three-night stay, but was shocked to find out that guests are not allowed to use the kitchen during “cleaning hours,” which happens at 11 a.m. While I understand the need to clean, it’s completely unreasonable to deny access to something as basic as hot water during this time. I’ve stayed at many hostels before, and I’ve never encountered such a policy. It feels like poor service for paying guests.
Zizi Z — Google review
The hotel has an attractive design and concept. We stayed in a private room, but it could have been cleaner. The shower was not very clean and had black stains on the walls. Additionally, the towels provided initially were stained, though the replacements were clean. Navigating to our room required passing through many corridors, and there was an unpleasant smell coming from the shared bathrooms along the way. The location is very good. Despite being on a main street, it is quite quiet. However, the staff could be more friendly. One significant issue is the iron they provide; it is blackened from frequent use and has burned clothes. The ironing board is also in poor condition. They should consider replacing both.
Heba M — Google review
I did not enjoyed my stay in this hostel. First thing when we arrived with our bicycles was that they had a room to put them but it was literally the room with all the housekeeping stuff in it. There was little place for our bicycles. Second thing was that we ordered for two separate beds but got a double bed. Third and most annoying was that our bathroom was stinking like somebody died in there. We asked them 3 times to clean it and they said that they would send someone which they didn’t. So extremely unfriendly and stressed staff that doest cares about you. Rooms weren’t cleaned when we were there for 4 days. Breakfast was okay. But the coffee machine was only working on the first day and then it broke down. The machine for the juices was also broken. And one more thing is that if u are unlucky you get a room with no daylight as we did. So this room is dark all day. Only good thing was the location. Wouldn’t recommend this one. Probably you are better off going to a different one that might be a bit more expensive. Cheers

Baroque Hostel is a budget-friendly accommodation option located near the famous Hero Square in Budapest. The hostel, housed in a building previously owned by a wealthy Barons family, boasts an original baroque-bohemian style with a modern minimalist design. It offers amenities such as a garden, TV lounge, communal kitchen, and free Wi-Fi. The hostel has great public transport links and is dog-friendly with the option to rent a private room for pet owners.
We went to the Baroque Hostel with a big student group from Poland and we really loved it here! The whole building had a nice arrangment, looking like Narnia sometimes! The breakfast was tasty and well organised. :) I would like to thank the staff for the flexibility: we could leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out, which was really helpful! We could stay a little longer after check-out to wait comfortably for the transport- I appreciate it a lot! Big thanks and highly recommended :)

Great location for artsy geeks! The fine arts museum is right next door (literally), so is the ethnology museum, great for opacarophiles, and if not, varosliget is just by the corner, great for a stroll or even a workout and close to szechenyi baths. The rooms are tidy and comfy, a bit humid tho, loved the Narnia touch and whimsical mirror in the hostel, but THE most important part was the staff, super friendly, always willing to help with a smile! That's very much appreciated.

Priyanjalaa S — Google review
Horrible place to stay. If you like clean rooms and toilets, find another place. The room we booked looked completely different from the photos and was located in a cold cellar. When we asked for an extra blanket, we were instead told to turn up the room heating. Our bed was covered with a thin layer of dust when we arrived. It felt like it wasn't cleaned. The room was an acceptable size but the air felt stuffy and smelled musky no matter how long we had our window open. The toilet and shower, of which there were two, had no working ventilation. After each shower the room would completely fill with steam, making you feel like a hot box. And the bathroom floor would always be wet, making it impossible to use the toilet after a shower. This together with the dirtiness made every trip to the toilet uncomfortable. The kitchen area was (also) dirty and the shared fridge had mold. The staff was unwelcoming and often missing from the check-in/check-out desk. 1 / 5 ⭐ Would not recommend.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE i usually never write Google reviews but for this place... disgusting place, owner & "work" ethics.... his "workers" are actually not paid and are housed in a dirty basement that is beyond unsanatory, while also trashtalking them and insulting them. the rooms are packed to the brim, most of them dirty, the common area is very small especially given the huge amount of people hosted (lots of huge groups, 20-30 school kids a lot of the time), a lot of the rooms have NO possible aeration while being extremely humid, the owner is nice to you until you critique something and then he calls you names... so yes, it's cheap and the localization is great but you'll find much better for the same prize in Budapest
Acheron — Google review
be careful when booking the rooms in this hostel!!! there is a part of the hostel that is in like kind of a bunker, full of humidity, dark and sketchy. We booked the 3 person room there and when we opened the door there was a weird-vibed man in his underwear with food all over the room as if it was his private room (so i dont really know what kind of people they accept in this hostel). Anyway, the main building is fine and worth for the price. Luckily, the receptionist helped us changing rooms, but tbh i was ready to sleep on the street bc that 3 bed room and second building are simply smelly and obscure......

My groups stay in Spicy Hostel was unforgettable. For many of us, it was our first time in a hostel and the people and workers really made it the best. The location is great, right on the train line. There are restaurants around to eat at. They have group activities for those staying. The showers and bathroom situation was clean and enjoyable. Good water pressure for sure. My only caveat was the room was a little warm in the day but cooled down at night. They have towels and lockers you can rent which was perfect for our group because we could not pack towels. They also offer a laundry service which was nice! Thank you for a lovely time!

The best possible choice. The price is practically as low as it gets, and in return you get an amazing, friendly, family-like atmosphere. Most of the guests are so open that everyone talks and gets to know each other. Within just four hours of arriving, I was already out on my first trip with other guests and hostel volunteers. As if that weren’t enough, there are events happening almost every day — going out to the city, dinners at restaurants, painting, playing guitar, board games, trying different cuisines, parties… This place attracts wonderful people, both those who come to work and those who come to relax. The volunteers clean and welcome guests from morning till night, always smiling and ready to help. Beds are comfortable, and you can rent out a towel super cheap. Coffee, tea, and some other stuff are free. This place completely exceeded my expectations. I thought I’d just come back there to sleep, but I ended up not wanting to leave 😁 Highly recommend staying open and chatting with a few people 😉

AVAIL Hostel in Budapest comes highly recommended for groups and couples. Unlike traditional hostels, it offers private 3-bed or 4-bed apartments instead of open dorms. Guests praise the hospitality, with the host going above and beyond to ensure a great stay. The central location provides easy access to dining and sightseeing options. The spacious rooms and renovated bathrooms add to the comfortable experience, making it a top choice for future visits.
I had an awesome experience in the hostel. The host was very friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcome. He stayed up late at night to let me in since my flight got delayed, then gave awesome tips about the city. Everything was very clean and modern. The showers had great water pressure. The kitchen had everything to prepare meals. This was my first time in Budapest, and staying here was a great decision. The location is perfect for a solo traveler right in the main street of the Jewish district and walking distance to great restaurants and city attractions. I absolutely recommend it and would stay again. Thanks Sándor 😁

Really enjoyed my stay here. The host Sandor is doing his very best to make his guest feel comfortable and we had by far the best check-in. He is very knowledgeable and truly a local guide Location is great, centrally located in the middle of the party area. Rooms and shared bathrooms were clean. Definitely recommending to stay there if looking for a central place and also going out and experiencing nightlife.

This has been the best hostel experience ever. Sandor was the most incredible host, before, during, and even after our stay was over. We forgot important stuff in our room and he remained in contact to help us locate it. When we first arrived, he went over a map to show us all of the best places in Budapest, which was so helpful. The location of AVAIL hostel was also amazing. We were across the street from fun ruin bars, close to the river, and in the heart of the city. Overall, I recommend everyone to stay here! You will not be disappointed!

Truly the best place I've stayed in terms of comfort and affordability. Had the most peaceful stay in Budapest, and Sandor was a very wonderful host! for a budget hotel/hostel it offers exactly what it promises. the rooms were clean, warm and somehow cozy. the self check was a bit weird in the beginning, but the girl working there helped us out immediately! after that, it worked really well. location is good, not the best, but you can move around easily. recommended for people looking a continent cheap stay!

I visited the city in December and i can say that this hostel was a good experience. The rooms were very clean. It was a bit noisy sometimes but not at night hours. The only downside is the app, and the check-in, it takes time to get used to it. In terms of location, it is 8-10 minutes away from the metro, and if you want to walk to the center it will take 30-40 minutes
CLAP — Google review
Location is perfect, walking distance from the nearest metro station High tech locks on all the doors, can only be opened with phone, so make sure your phone have enough charge when you come back from Ruin pubs 😉 Rooms are okay, cozy, smelled like an old room when we entered for the first time, but then it went off. Beds were definitely old, made cracking sound when you turn during your sleep Toilets/Bathroom was clean, all the amenities worked perfectly If you are a light sleeper, your sleep might get hampered by the noise coming from pub next door ****Note**** It have some high stares, so if you have heavy trolleys, you might have to think since its an old building hence no lift

Very cheap room, the staff helped me re-book and store my luggage for an extra day they were very nice. The acces is over a lot of stairs so beware if you have heavy bags. Excellent money-value place. Location 5 min to the metro, a bit hidden place within the facade of the buildings. Easy to access trough the alleys. The room Had spring mattresses kind of stiff, a small blanket and tiny pillows. Everything was clean and smelled nice. The windows were stuck and I couldn't open them. They included towels. The facilities Everything clean and easy to access with the app, only at checkout the door was kind of stuck and I had a hard time opening it. I didn't use the lounge nor the kitchen but they were available and clean.

In the middle of the night, around 4:30am a drunk British guy was trying to break in the communal areas. We are not sure if he was staying in the hostel, but he was trying to break the doorknob and was yelling non stop for more than an hour. We stayed in our room obviously, did not want to go into the hallway and risk getting in contact with him, but we couldn’t sleep for hours and were on the verge of calling the police. Most unpleasant experience. And there is nobody in the hostel working the night shift, which is unacceptable precisely because of these kinds of situations occurring. Shady business

Staff: nice and polite but quite untrained. They do not even know simple details about parking at 1 meter distance.. or on the street. Rooms: decent, with an enormously useless fridge, but no bin for trash (I asked for it but nothing. Quite unusual, I should say. Had to store my litter in a plastic bag). In hot weather you will definitely sweat.. I understand that's no air conditioning, but I would expect at least a ceiling fan, just for ventilation. Windows are old and they won't block noise coming from the nearby parking facility (of course, you will need to leave them open to avoid fainting from heat). Beds are pretty decent. Facilities: Overnight, sweating, I was seeking for water in the ground floor vending machine. They had everything except water...

Best hostel ever! The are absolutely amazing! They have that easy going atmosphere that make it easy to meet new people and party together. The staff are energetic and friendly. I loved the free dinners, and the drinking games after. There's a lot of fun to be had here! And there are many bathrooms, all clean. And the common areas are far enough from the rooms so that the noise doesn't bother you if you want a quiet night in - I would love to visit this hostel again!!

Location is good, but the cleaning service is… poor. Rooms are “okay”, but I almost died while taking a bath of how much disgusting it was, not well cleaned. Please clean the floor!

Really can't say enough good things about this hostel. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful with everything from settling in to finding your way around to storing luggage to getting you to the airport on time. They provide a great atmosphere for meeting other travelers over communal dinner and games. Clean beds, floors, and hygiene facilities. This is a top notch, world class hostel. Don't miss it.

The staff and volunteers are very friendly and helpful with good advice to share on what you do in the city. They were happy to let us store our bikes in the luggage room which was great. Free dinner in the evenings is good and a good chance to meet and chat with others. Rooms were clean and kitchen had good facilities. Excellent value for money. Recommended!

Amazing hostel with amazing staff. Hostel was a cross between a normal hostel and a party hostel so it had an amazing atmosphere while being quiet at the same time. Met really amazing people there. Free dinner was okay. Bathrooms are outside the rooms and during busy times, it may all be full. Free luggage storage. Good view of the neighboring park, good location. Free events every night. Would highly recommend.

The staff was wonderful, extremely nice and very helpful! The hostel itself it a great size with a nice kitchen and common room. There is an elevator which is a great bonus as it is located on the 2nd floor. Overall quite clean and the place had a lot of bathrooms and showers! I would stay again. I do wish they could find a way to lessen the sound of people shutting their room doors as they end up slamming and being very loud. Also, as a smoker would be great if there was a balcony option to smoke as you have to go all the way downstairs.

Couldn't recommend this hostel enough. The staff are incredibly welcoming and organise a delicious free shared dinner, drinking games, boat parties, free day tours and so much more! Perfect for solo travellers who are up for meeting new people and having a good time! Very clean and the beds are comfortable. Great location too, very central.

Clean and tidy. Very friendly staff. Very surprised to get a free dinner at a hostel and a quite delicious one. Hostel organizes parties every night that include a free entrence to a good club and 1 free drink. Had a great one night stay there although I wasn't able to get much sleep with all the partying. 😁

Nestled in a 19th-century building just a few blocks from the Danube, Loft Hostel exudes a cozy and intimate vibe with its wooden eaves, floors, and walls. This budget-friendly accommodation offers simple dorms and rooms along with shared amenities like a kitchen and TV lounge. The hostel prides itself on its welcoming staff who are dedicated to ensuring guests feel at home. It's an ideal community for backpackers looking for affordable lodging in Budapest.
Super cute hostel with retro vibes. The location was good (near metro and tram stops) and the facilities were clean. Its in a fairly quiet neighborhood while only being a ~15 minute walk from many popular bars. The staff were also very friendly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and sites to see.

Nice and homey hostel. The staff is mostly volunteers and they are very welcoming. The big plus is that you can borrow flipflops and towels in the hostel so you don't need to buy them at the spas. The location of the hostel is very convenient, close to the city centre. And they provide you with tips where to eat and drink! Another plus is the fully equipped kitchen and the big common room with comfortable sofas! Would recommend to anyone who wants to have a chilled visit to Budapest.

I definitely made the right decision to book my stay with The Loft for my first ever trip to Budapest. It was a very homely and cozy hostel with just 2 dorms which had 7 beds each. The hostel is located in the top floor of a residential building which you need to enter an access code to enter the building, and another code to enter the hostel itself. The staff were warm and friendly and gave wonderful tips and suggestions. There was a fully stocked kitchen and all the necessary condiments. There was also a fridge, toaster and microwave. They also had laundry facilities. The place was very clean and well kept. Each bed had a power point, reading light and a locker (which you need your own lock). The only downside would be that the floorboards and bunk beds were super squeaky, but nothing that earplugs couldn't help. I'd also be nice if they organized some activities for the guests to get to know each other. I definitely enjoyed my stay with The Loft Hostel and can't wait to return!

Chill place that's social but not a party space. Super welcoming with good tips on what to do in the city. The volunteer staff is great and caring. Free toiletries, option to do laundry, fully equipped kitchen, free to use and borrow flip flops and towels.

Absolutely loved my stay here - the location was perfect and the hostel was clean and had everything I needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they gave me so many amazing personalized recommendations depending on my interests; I ended up extending my stay in Budapest, and I think a big reason why was because I discovered so many cool places to go to and events to attend because of the staff here. Overall, the hostel has a cozy, more intimate vibe. I think it's a great option for solo travelers, whether you're looking to do things on your own, or would like some company from time to time. Highly recommend this place and huge shoutout to the staff here!

The best Hostel I have ever been to. The volunteers, the kitchen and lots of condiments for free as well as nice facilities and finally the cleaning. I don't want, I need to return back.

Great space for travellers looking for a clean, calm, social, and friendly vibe, without the chaos of a party hostel or mechanical, soulless vibe of a corporate chain. The Loft is very comfortable place to stay and either relax, socialize, or explore Budapest from. It’s very well priced and the staff are very helpful

Really cool space and very friendly staff with lots of offers to help/suggest you things during the day. They provide a lot of extras at no cost and you really feel cared for while there. It wasn't super lively during my stay but I was told the week before it had been much more social.

This "hostel" appears to be a squat; it's a filthy hole. Avoid. I really have no idea how anyone has rated it higher than 1 star, I refused to stay there upon seeing it!

This is the best hostel I have been so far. A friend and I stayed for two nights just after the reopening in July 2022. The rooms have very unique designs and the whole hostel seems like a giant apartment for same minded travelers. Through its size a very familiar space is created. Connecting with other people becomes easy especially through the big and well organised kitchen where everyone can sit, talk, cook and eat together. When we stayed there we played cards with our new friends at 4 am after clubbing the whole night. It was an unforgettable experience.

Fun, relaxed atmosphere. The guys there are really relaxed and down-to-earth. They had plenty of cookware and kitchenware in the kitchen, and some video games to chill out to in the common room. The bathrooms were always clean and the whole place was decorated very fun. The location is top notch (although it took me a bit to figure out the doorbell). Really enjoyed my stay here, would come back in a second.

from the point of view of cleanliness, it's probably one of the best hostel I've ever been to. It's fairly central, well connected to public transport. Staff is nice. Only a minor problem: it seems that it's more a place for partygoers than for "classic" travelers. It may be a little difficult getting some sleep after a whole night on a train - while your roommates arrive at the hostel between 3am and 6am.

With numerous awards for its great vibe, hospitality, and prime location, this hostel offers an ideal setting for solo adventurers to connect with others.
This is by far my favorite hostel that I've ever stayed in. It was so hard to leave because I felt like I was leaving home. The staff were amazing and very sweet. The owner was so knowledgeable and gave me so many great ideas of the places to see and visit while I was in town. She even has a great book collection and suggest a book from her collection that was aligned with my interests. This was a once in a life time experience. I felt like all the guests I met throughout ghout my stay were like family. We made dinners together, went out sightseeing together and it was genuinely my favorite experience in a hostel! I can't wait to come back to Budapest and come back here!
Tardis T — Google review
I had an amazing time here! Everyone was really friendly and it truly felt like a home despite the normal hostel turnover. The volunteers were really nice and helpful, and the owner Olga was really sweet and informative, always happy to give recommendations and point out locations on maps she gave out. This hostel has actually been around for a long time, at one point being awarded the best hostel in Europe, though it's not quite as wild as it used to be. Still it had a great energy, with some people wanting to go out to the bars, or bring a few bottles of wine to the bridge, or go to concerts, or sometimes just have a nice night inside, cooking together and having nice conversations. The common area is not huge but I feel like that contributes to how personal it all feels. You can't help but be close to people. The location is excellent, being walking distance from a lot of cool areas, very close to the Danube River, and the hostel itself looking out on a museum and park where many people just sit and relax, going about their normal lives. The kitchen is basic but adequate, with a microwave, kettle, hot plates, and cookware. It's a bit small but people share the space pretty well. The free coffee was appreciated. Overall I had a great time here and will be sure to come back whenever I'm in Budapest!

The ‘smoking room’ is in the lobby …absolutely disgusting to through it each time to enter/exit the hostel . Staff are super friendly but hostel definitely needs a refurbishment as the staff deserve better too.
T D — Google review
It was a pretty good hostel, we booked the private room upstairs. Very secure with like 3 doors to get through. Only problem is that, like many areas in Pesht, it smelled like garbage and feces. Between 2 of the doors it was hard to breathe with an open window into a courtyard that reeked. Then once you're in the hostel the lobby is the smoking room, which does have flaps to seal it surprisingly effectively from the rest of the hostel. But you gotta go through the smoked out room before going to your room, to that wasn't great. Good tourist location though, lot of gift shops, near bus stations that connect to the train station & airport, with many different restaurants and chimney cake stands.

I stayed here for 3 nights in Budapest, and it was without a doubt the best hostel experience I had in my entire 3 months in Europe. The staff is incredibly nice, outgoing, and helpful. They had the best recommendations for clubs and bars, and they even went out partying with a bunch of us one night. This is a great location and is THE ideal hostel for anyone traveling alone. It is a small hostel, which means you actually interact with the other guests. This turned out to be a great opportunity, as we all hung out and became great friends. Excellent hostel! I would recommend it to anyone.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. The staff are all amazing - Chris, David and especially Anna who is always smiling and will go above and beyond to make your stay better! Clean + great location. If you want to party, it's easy to find a group to go out with. If you just want to chill, that's always an option too. Only minor complaint is that it can get quite warm at times. But honestly, it's like a home away from home with a family you never knew you had! Great for solo travellers!

Lovely hostel right in the center of the action in Budapest. While it's a tiny hostel, it's packed to the brim with charm. I arrived very late in the evening, but Anna was so happy to give me instructions on how to get in the building. She also gave me a lovely run down on the best bars/restaurants/monuments to see in Budapest. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a nice hostel filled with quality people.

The Central Market Hall in Budapest is a restored neogothic hall that offers a diverse shopping and dining experience. The ground floor features grocery produce, including Hungarian paprika, fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, meat, pastries, wine, chocolate, and jams. On the first floor, visitors can find souvenirs and various food stands offering a wide range of culinary delights. This three-story market is an ideal place to shop for local goods while enjoying lunch and picking up souvenirs.
The building was designed and built by Samu Pecz in 1897. The market offers a wide variety of stalls on three floors. The entrance gate has a neo-Gothic touch. A special architectural feature is the roof, which was renovated with colorful Zsolnay tiles from Pécs. The building is 10,000 square meters in size and is covered with a steel structure. During the Second World War, the market was heavily damaged. It was not until 1991 that a thorough renovation was undertaken, which restored it to its original splendor. The building was reopened in 1997, and in 1999 it was awarded the FIABCI Prix d'Excellence. The Central Market is still one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. Most of the stalls on the ground floor offer produce, meat, pastries, sweets, spices and spirits. You can find paprika spice, Tokaj wine, Túró Rudi, kolbász sausages and salamis there. On the second mezzanine floor there are restaurants and stalls selling tourist souvenirs. In the basement there are fishmongers, stalls with selected vegetables and a few specialized butchers.
Erik V — Google review
It is a pleasant location to explore and capture memorable photographs. The scenery offers ample opportunities for creative compositions and stunning visuals. Although the surroundings are beautiful, the dining experience could be improved. Hopefully, future visits will bring enhancements to the culinary offerings. Overall, it remains a lovely place to visit.
Jey A — Google review
We visited the market hall on a Sunday and were really impressed. The building itself is beautiful, and there are many different stalls offering local delicacies. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the people were very friendly. The only downside was that, since it was Sunday, some of the stalls were closed. Because of that, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit!
Jakob H — Google review
It is the largest indoor market in Budapest, located at one end of the famous Váci utca. It is located in a building whose facade is built in a neo-Gothic style, very pleasing to the eye and in harmony with the architecture of the neighboring buildings. Inside, on the ground floor you will find many shops with local cold cuts, dairy, wines and other products. In the basement is the fish market. You can reach the upper level by several stairs but also by an escalator, located in close proximity of the main entrance. Access to the shops on the first floor is along corridors that look like balconies. Here are numerous gift/souvenir shops but also the Fakánal Etterem restaurant, which, if you want to taste the flavors of traditional Hungarian food, you must definitely make a stop. We did and we did not regret it. At lunchtime, when we arrived, we had to be a little patient to get to the desired menu, but it was worth it. I treated myself with a goulash soup and a portion of stuffed cabbage rolls. Everything was very tasty. I consider this place to be recommended to visit.
Cri B — Google review
The Central Market Hall in Budapest is a wonderful place to explore if you want to experience local Hungarian culture in one spot. The market is housed inside a beautiful, well-organised historic building that feels lively but not chaotic. Everything is neatly arranged, and it’s easy to navigate through the different sections. You can find plenty of authentic Hungarian products here — from fresh local vegetables and spices to handmade crafts and souvenirs. There are also food stalls offering traditional dishes, so you can enjoy a snack or meal right inside the market while soaking in the atmosphere. The vendors are friendly and take pride in their products, making the experience feel genuine rather than touristy. There’s a good mix of local shoppers and visitors, which adds to its charm. The market also has clean, paid toilet facilities, which is convenient if you plan to spend more time browsing. Whether you’re looking for paprika, embroidered linens, or just a good place to people-watch, the Central Market Hall offers it all. It’s an enjoyable and colourful stop that captures the real spirit of Budapest in a single building.
AKASH U — Google review
Lots of fresh food of all varieties, including meat, vegetables and baked goods. Paprika of every flavor and size. Goodies to eat and souvenirs for the trip home. It can be very crowded so have some patience. Many of the vendors are closed on Sunday, especially the fresh food vendors.
Tom F — Google review
A traditional and interesting market to visit in Budapest. It’s worth checking out for its architecture and the variety of local products like spices, wines, and embroidered goods. It’s also a nice spot to buy souvenirs, but prices tend to be a bit higher, especially at the shops near the entrance.
Luana B — Google review
Architecture wise it’s a beautiful building and so we only spent a few minutes inside as the numerous market stalls didn’t really appeal to us. You can however find various stalls to suit various tastes from meats, fish and other food stalls to more traditional Hungarian shops. There were also a number of restaurants inside.

Visitors can admire pieces by French Impressionists like Monet and Pissarro as well as prominent Hungarian painters such as Munkacsy and Csontvary.
Castle with a lot Hungarian history. You can see much of the castle without buying any tickets. The real highlight is that you can get a good view of the Hungarian parliament as well as the bridge from here. It also lights up at night which looks nice if you’re looking at the castle from below or from the other side

Buda Castle in Budapest is absolutely spectacular. From the moment you arrive, the scale and elegance of the castle are breathtaking. The panoramic views of the Danube and Pest side are incredible, especially from the terrace. Inside, the museums offer fascinating exhibitions that mix history, art, and culture, making it more than just a sightseeing spot. The castle grounds themselves are wonderful to wander, with charming streets, courtyards, and little cafes where you can take a break and soak in the atmosphere. It’s a place where history and beauty come together perfectly and definitely deserves plenty of time to explore.

Magical Walk Through History – Castle Hill, Budapest Visiting Castle Hill in Budapest was one of the highlights of my trip to Hungary. This entire area is a stunning blend of history, culture, and breathtaking views, making it a must-see for any traveler. Perched above the Danube on the Buda side of the city, Castle Hill offers a peaceful escape from the busy streets below. The majestic Buda Castle dominates the skyline and houses both the Hungarian National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum—perfect for anyone interested in art, heritage, and architecture. Just a short walk away is the iconic Matthias Church, with its colorful tiled roof and intricate interior, as well as the fairy-tale-like Fisherman’s Bastion, which offers panoramic views over the river and Parliament building—especially magical at sunset. The cobblestone streets, charming courtyards, and well-preserved medieval atmosphere make the entire district feel like stepping into another time. There are cozy cafés, artisan shops, and quiet gardens to explore, including the beautifully restored Várkert Bazár at the foot of the hill. Whether you're into history, photography, or simply soaking in local culture, Castle Hill has something for everyone. I highly recommend spending a full day here—you’ll leave with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for Budapest’s rich past.

The Castle District in Budapest, also known as the Buda Castle District, is a popular tourist destination offering a rich historical and cultural experience. Visitors can explore iconic attractions such as the Royal Palace, Castle Garden, Matthias Church, and Fisherman's Bastion with stunning views of the Danube and Pest. The area is also home to an extensive interconnected cellar system that served as storage rooms for wine and shelters during various periods.
The Castle District in Budapest is honestly one of the most beautiful and atmospheric places I’ve ever walked through—especially at night. The views overlooking the Danube are just unreal. Everything glows—Parliament lit up across the water, the bridges, and the whole of Pest is sprawled out to view. The architecture is stunning, but what really stood out to me was how much history is packed into every building and statue. If you can - absolutely take a guided tour. Ours gave so much context I never would’ve known—like why some of the church steeples are black (which has a surprisingly intense backstory), and the hidden layers of the area, like the underground hospital carved into the rock beneath the hill.
Cody R — Google review
This area is beautiful, it's definitely a fully days event may even be 2 days depending on everything available to see. If you plan on going into the castle then plan 2 days, there is so much to see and enjoy, lots of great restaurants and cafés all over, so many historical buildings, statues and sites. My suggestion is to use the castle area bus to get around and do a round trip to plan what you want to see, then get off at the stops you are interested in. This is a must see in Budapest so please don't miss it.

We arrived late in the evening at the end of our day. There were surprisingly many tourists around. It was beautiful, well-kept, and I felt genuinely proud that so many foreign visitors get to admire these stunning buildings of ours.

The Buda Castle complex is definitely worth a visit. The castle stands out with its impressive exterior, and nearby Matthias Church catches the eye with its colorful roof and Gothic style. Fisherman’s Bastion is one of the highlights: you can climb it for a small fee, and the view of the city is amazing, with the Danube and Chain Bridge in front. The Schulek Staircase completes the walk, with its statues and historic details. Going up there really lets you see the city from above.

The Castle District is an absolute must-see when visiting Budapest! The entire area is historic, charming, and offers a truly wonderful atmosphere. While there are certainly a lot of people, I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't feel as overcrowded or intensely busy as some other major European tourist spots (like Prague, for example). The space handles the crowds well. The main highlight is, without a doubt, the incredible view over the city. The panorama of Pest, the Parliament building, and the Danube is breathtaking and provides fantastic photo opportunities, especially from the Fisherman's Bastion. Highly recommended for its beauty, history, and the unmatched sightlines of Budapest!

Széchenyi Thermal Bath is a grand complex of thermal baths and swimming pools located in Budapest, Hungary. The ornate structure was built in 1913 and features a stunning cupola. The city's geological fault provides an abundant supply of warm to scalding mineral water, with the Széchenyi Thermal Bath being one of the largest medicinal bath complexes in Europe.
Very nice and relaxing experience. Take your slippers, towels and a robe is nice for autumn chilly season. Very spacious, so even with tourist flow I could find times to enjoy sauna and cold pool. Hammam with herbs was nice, strong herbal inhalation 👍My top- off course the outdoors pool. I took a private room, not a locker. Was more comfortable.
Gala S — Google review
People refer to this bath as a bit of a tourist trap but the reality is that all thermal baths across the city attracts tourists and are of a similar price. This bath however is one of the biggest and can hold the most number of people and is always busy. There are however plenty of pools and spaces but it will still seem busy and there were just some places we didn’t get to experience (like the saunas) because it was just so packed. If you are not there early or arrive in the afternoon like we did you can forget finding any kind of ‘base’ location as all the sun lounges were gone and didn’t start to free up again until 5pm (ones in the shade). Therefore just think about having minimal items with you so you can just drop your flip-flops & towel on one of the racks as you flop in and out of the pools. You can also have your mobile with you so consider getting a waterproof case so you can hang it around your neck. All thermal baths are expensive for what they are but it is a worthwhile experience. If you want to swim on the lane swimming pool - caps are mandatory for women I believe. Our muscles and joints certainly felt a lot better after a couple of hours here and it was also very scenic. The experience was made better by glorious weather!
Mark W — Google review
Amazing baths. Very large. The saunas are diverse: wet (with steam), with beer yeast, very hot and dry. Tons of pools. The water really has different temperatures - from 25 to 60 degrees. In the hottest one you could fall asleep pretty quickly) The outdoor pools are impressive too. You can just chill in the circular one, or swim laps, or enjoy the whirlpool. There's a place where you can eat and drink. To get maximum enjoyment, it's worth coming when there are the fewest people. I was there on Monday from 7 in the morning. There were 10-20 people in the entire place. It stayed like that for about 2 hours. Then the number of people increased about 7 times, but I think even then it wasn't at maximum capacity)

We had a lovely time at this thermal bath! We booked the deluxe experience for 2 with private room and couples massage. We booked the first slot at 8am and I highly recommend doing the same as the pools get quite busy later in the day. I appreciated that the deluxe experience came with everything we needed (towels, bathrobes, flip flops, swim caps, champagne, and some snacks) so we didn't have to rent anything else. I do wish the room came with 2 keys instead of just 1 since two people are using the spa. The staff were all very kind and accommodating! Friendly smiles and helpful people whenever we needed them! The thermal baths themselves were wonderful! The outdoor pools were nice and warm. I enjoyed the 'adventure pool' the most. It had a lot of fountains/falling water and a whirlpool in the center - just float in circles here, it's heavenly! I also really enjoyed the salt inhalation room! Very relaxing and calming. Some reviews here say this pools aren't clean, this was not my experience. In fact, the whole place was extremely clean! A couple of the indoor pools were a bit more on the old side, but were not dirty. The tile just needs to be replaced. My husband said the saunas were very hot and steamy! The cold plunge outside the sauna was not operational on our visit. The couples massage could have been a little more consistent in terms of pressure, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The 4 hour time slot (with 45 minute massage) was a perfect amount of time to enjoy the baths. I highly recommend this experience in Budapest! Just make sure you read what each ticket includes on the website!

Budapest's most luxurious natural thermal baths offer numerous indoor pools, as well as spacious and beautiful outdoor and outdoor pools. There's also a large underground sauna, and an indoor one. Admission is expensive, but worth it. Impressive, but a lot of people .Food and drinks are available, but cash and cards are accepted, not wristwatches. Food and drink prices are also quite high.

Széchenyi Thermal Bath: My Honest Review Széchenyi was definitely a first-time experience for me, in a good way! I went around 10am and stayed until about 12:30, and it wasn’t too packed during that time. The place is very clean, staff is polite, and the changing rooms downstairs are well maintained. Just be aware you’ll be changing around other people, mentally prep if you’re shy 😄 The outdoor pool itself is huge and can easily handle a big crowd. No one bothers you or stares into your soul (unless they’re just admiring your vibe). My friend felt totally comfortable in her bikini. The water is warm, clean, and super inviting. Plenty of entry points so you’re not bumping into strangers like bumper cars. I didn’t try the food, but it looked tasty enough to tempt me. Overall, if you’re in Budapest, it’s absolutely worth a visit. It’s relaxing, unique, and you’ll genuinely have a great time. Just don’t expect full spa-day “I’ve transcended humanity” levels of zen unless you book the extra treatments. Only real complaint? The price of sandals and towels. They’re good quality and all, but…yeah. Bring your own if you want to save your wallet from crying😅

🏛️ Highlights My favorite spot in Budapest—beautiful architecture and a great mix of pools. 🔐 Tips: Get a private changing room (it doubles as a locker). Small extra cost, totally worth it. Go early morning for fewer people. 🧼 What to Bring Flip-flops (for walking around), a towel (needed for sauna), toiletries. Showers are available; the hairdryer is a bit weak. 🏊 Pool & Sauna Choices 1) Outdoor Adventure Pool (~30°C) – Strong and gentle water jets, swirl pool, and a small jacuzzi. Fun and lively vibe. Slightly cold pool. 2) Outdoor Thermal Pool (~40°C) – Super relaxing; you might even see locals playing chess. Nice even on summer mornings. 3) Indoor Saunas – Various rooms from ~50°C to 80+°C. I liked the aroma sauna (~50°C)—smells good and feels comfy. 4) Indoor Pools – Different temperatures and nice interiors. 5) Steam Rooms – Available (I didn’t try). ☕ Drinks & Snacks Coffee shop and bar next to the pools—easy to grab a drink, or sit and relax anytime. ✅ Verdict Strongly recommended!

Trust me, IT’S NOT WORTH IT !!! Széchenyi Thermal Bath is one of Budapest’s most iconic landmarks, often featured in travel photos and guides as a must visit attraction. The complex is large, offering a variety of indoor and outdoor pools with water temperatures ranging from about 20°C to 40°C. The same temperature range applies to the saunas, giving visitors plenty of options to relax and warm up. However, the reality of the experience doesn’t quite match the glamorous photos you see online. The first thing that stands out is the smell especially inside the sauna areas. The air is thick and heavy, with an unpleasant odor that makes it difficult to breathe comfortably. Between the strong sulfur like scent of the thermal water and the stuffiness of the rooms, you might find yourself wanting to step out after just a few minutes. The general atmosphere inside feels poorly ventilated, which adds to the discomfort. Make sure to bring your own slippers, as they are mandatory, and buying them onsite is quite pricey. The same goes for towels; if you forget yours, you’ll have to rent one, which isn’t very convenient or hygienic. A bathrobe is highly recommended during the colder months, since moving between the indoor and outdoor pools can be quite chilly. The outdoor pools are warm and pleasant, and swimming outside when it’s around 5°C can feel refreshing at first. Still, the novelty fades quickly once you notice how old and poorly maintained the place is. The showers have cheap body soap dispensers, the tiles are worn, and overall cleanliness could be better. Personally, I wouldn’t go again. The experience felt overrated and expensive for what it offers. Between the smell, the maintenance issues, and the extra costs, it’s just not worth it. Save your money and explore something else in Budapest instead.

Benczúr Hotel is a low-key accommodation with unassuming rooms and suites, featuring a restaurant, bar, and meeting space. The hotel boasts a good location and quality amenities including friendly service, cable TV, and free breakfast. Despite its older furnishings, the hotel is clean with excellent staff. Situated close to the city park with thermal spa and other attractions, it offers spacious rooms with bright windows, working desks, and minibars.
I had an amazing conference here. The conference room was prepared as requested, everything from the microphone to the projector and coffee pause were prepared and made in time with all the extras requested. The service was excellent! I asked for additional items to be delivered in the conference room for decorations and it was immediately done. The menu ordered for the lunch was delicious and for everybody's liking, three coursed meal was as requested and done with the highest standards. I was delighted with all the provided help by the restaurant's waiters and especially by the restaurant's manager. The stay was wonderful and we had a successful conference all thanks to the hotel workers outstanding work and preparedness. I definitely recommend visiting the given hotel and using their services for a conference or a simple meeting.

The worst staff I ever saw! Before writing it I checked the reviews from other guests, because I doubted maybe I did something wrong. I can say that most of them trying their best to be polite, but you can feel that nobody is happy to welcome you. This place only for locals, not for foreigners. They are not happy if you want to pay with card and giving attitude, with saying “it’s not good”. I needed to check out at 02:00, reception is working 00-24, so I really didn’t get the reaction of staff when I showed up. He was annoyed by me and was extremely rude. I asked if he speaks English, he said yes but didn’t want to listen, I didn’t have opportunity to explain myself even. I just left and I heard him saying to me in Hungarian. If your rooms looks and smells like Soviet Union doesn’t mean that you have to keep the attitude from that time. And answer from you that “questions are not related to our staff so they don’t have to answer” - will not be professional. If you don’t like foreigners - just make a huge mark about it, so people will not waste energy to deal with rudeness. Or explain your staff that even at 02:00 he still at work and should be ready to answer questions. PS: second star because hotel is pet friendly and I needed it

Our stay started ok but then like the second or third day, there was massive construction that we weren’t told about at all. And they turned the water off (again, no warning) and it was nice and brown upon turning it back on (people in my group had been drinking from it before and after without realizing because it only happened when the water was turned hot) and they didn’t feel great that day. There were also SO many guests there and this conference was running in the main walkway that was sometimes roped off. So we felt a little like we were inconveniencing other guests as guests ourselves. They say they have a business center but they don’t. On the second to last day, they shut down half the breakfast area and so everyone was crammed together, sitting with strangers at the few tables available. And while we were in the nice, newer rooms, housekeeping did not keep pace with keeping them clean. They barely cleaned and updated towels and just flat out stopped going into some of our groups rooms even though it had been requested. The final thing - the beds were hard as wood. I can usually sleep on anything but that alone (regardless of everything else) would make me not book there again. You either have to lay on your back or your hips will be in pain the next morning. There is absolutely no give for those mattresses and it’s very uncomfortable.

We had a very good staying at this hotel. The room was tidy and cozy, not too big, but enough for 2 adults, recently renovated, with wifi, air conditioner and a small fridge. The staff was friendly, breakfast was included and quite tasty, we also tried food from their a la carte menu and the food was delicious. Also they have parking at site, with 13 euros per night. It is situated on a very nice and quiet street, also very close situated to heroes square, a nice park and a castle and the zoo. Also you can take the metro at a near by station (5 minutes of walking - at Bajza utca) and go to Vorosmarty ter station which is the last station of M1 and leaves you in centre very close to Danube).

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. The man at the reception was far from friendly – he acted as if he was forced to be there and answered questions in a very unpleasant, unhelpful way. The cleanliness of the room was simply unacceptable. The carpet was filthy and covered in stains that looked like they’d been there for years. There was also some sort of “decorative cloth,” which was actually just a dirty rag. Everything felt old, neglected, and honestly quite disgusting. I didn’t even feel comfortable walking barefoot in the room. The whole place looks like it hasn’t been renovated since the communist era – tired, outdated, and in desperate need of refurbishment. Breakfast was the only decent part. It wasn’t amazing, but there was enough choice and it was clear some effort went into it. What really bothered me was the lack of clear information about the parking. The website said the hotel had its own parking, but it didn’t mention that it costs €13 per day. That was one of the main reasons we chose this place, so it felt misleading. Overall, I would never stay here again and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

I found the staff very rude. Maybe there was miscommunication or a cultural misunderstanding but checking-in was met with numerous eye-rolls and sighs. Completely inappropriate. I tried to be overly nice but was met with sarcasm frequently. Overall the attitude from most the staff was very impolite and grumpy. The room was very very outdated. The beds were very low and the mattress must be very old because the springs had given out. There was a large dent in the mattress from where people had slept. Pillows were very uncomfortable. The room smelled terrible, I suspect of mold, and mini fridge was barely working. The bathroom was dirty and old with mold on the shower curtain. Water pressure in the shower was very weak. No shampoo or soap provided. Some of the cupboard doors were nailed shut so no real place to put our items except a dusty chair. Stains all over the carpets and it looked like someone had broken into the room once upon a time and broken the door latch. Just miserable. The breakfast area was a windowless nightmare right out of the shining. The hosts just snarled at us when we tried to tell them what room we were in. Very unpleasant start to the day. We ordered a coffee once from the downstairs cafe and you could have sworn by the way we were treated that we had insulted the baristas entire bloodline. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here and I'll probably suggest to any future conferences that they stay away from this hotel. No way for guests to be treated.
Trystan L — Google review
I honestly don’t understand why this hotel is rated highly. The property is very old and in desperate need of renovation. The bathrooms were unhygienic, with visible urine stains on the door, and the carpet throughout was filthy. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, making it hard to get any quality rest. I had ordered two breakfasts, one to be packed for takeaway since I was checking out early. The receptionist assured me that this was noted, yet when I checked out the staff had no record of it. As a result, I paid for something I never received. This shows a serious lack of communication and professionalism among the staff. Overall, a very disappointing stay. I cannot recommend this hotel.
Andrea F — Google review
The staff working this hotel are incredibly rude and dismissive towards the English speaking tourists. It appears if you are Hungarian you are treated a lot differently. The amount of friendly conversations I have witnessed during our stay with local people is unlike anywhere Iv witnessed. The moment an English speaking guest wants something the tone and mannerisms change almost instantly. I asked for a shower after the marathon and was told no without him even checking anything (while the man working reception pulled a sort of face like why are you even asking). Same man was working the night before where we asked for a late checkout and he was just as rude and dismissive towards us. The rooms are in an awful condition, they needed renovating at least 10 years ago. Carpets that are not even blue anymore, we heard some sort of wildlife scurrying in the ceiling of our room, the paint is peeling off the walls and the bathroom well like Iv said, needed renovating at a minimum 10 years ago. These were not the pictures listed on Agoda and makes me question if you are English speaking do you get a nasty room? We could look past the room, but the wildlife in the ceiling and the staff make this hotel one of the worst we have been to out of 67 countries visited.

The centrally located Marco Polo Hostel offers a terrace and cellar bar. Rooms are private or shared, and there is bicycle rental available on site. The front desk is open 24 hours, and features a luggage room.
Solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, quiet, and chill place to stay. The cleanliness stands out immediately everything from the rooms to the shared spaces is well-maintained, which makes for a comfortable experience. It’s a great spot to recharge after a day of exploring the city, especially if you prefer a more laid-back atmosphere over the party hostel scene. The vibes here are peaceful, and it’s easy to strike a balance between socializing and enjoying your own space. The hostel seems to attract like-minded travelers who appreciate the calm environment. However, there are a couple of drawbacks. The kitchen amenities are quite basic, which can be a bit frustrating if you’re planning to prepare your own meals. A few more utensils or better cooking facilities would make a world of difference. Another downside is the breakfast vending machine it’s often empty, which can be disappointing when you’re relying on it for a quick morning bite. That said, the friendly staff and excellent location make Marco Polo Hostel a great base for exploring Budapest. If you don’t mind a couple of minor inconveniences, it’s a pleasant and relaxing place to stay.

I really liked it here. The shared rooms have a really interesting layout. You feel so private. Someone moved in the room, and only then, did i remember that someone else is even, in the room, last night. The set up is that private. For a large location, you feel like there are only a few people around. The area is the best I have been in, in Budapest... so peaceful. it felt protected. There is a creative cafe, around the corner and I loved it there. Thank you.

Really worth staying here! The location is super convenient, close to the tram for tourist spots, just a 4-minute walk to the bus stop, and near the metro too. The building is old, but they keep it really clean, and you can tell they put effort into maintaining it. The staff are amazing and always try to help with whatever I need. Keep up the good work!

Rooms were great and location is fantastic. Unfortunately I had to cut my trip short due to a family emergency. I had hoped to be reimbursed for the 6 nights I had already paid for, but no luck. I feel cheated because of that. I'm sure my bed was rebooked as it's a popular hostel. I would have been satisfied with even half of what I'd paid. It will make me rethink of staying here again.

I wasn't expecting such high quality at such an affordable price, I'm still very surprised... The rooms are very clean, customer satisfaction is a priority... I am especially grateful to Gréta and Barnabas (I hope that's correct)🫣 for their attention... Both are very attentive and solution-oriented, but always prioritize customer satisfaction. I think they deserve a high salary .🙏. Thank you for everything. This will be my only choice from now on 🥰

I would come back here. It is nice and clean, and super central. Walking distance for most tourist attractions, coffe shops, restaurants and stores. I even had my room all to myself, even though i bought a 4 person room. The only reason i am giving 4/5 atarts is because of the kitchen, it does not have a stove or oven, only microwave and waterboiler.
Tara I — Google review
We stayed here luckily only for one night. The room literally stank of urine, was dirty (dust, black hair everywhere), and the light and the “fan” didn’t work. Cleanliness is something that should be respected regardless of the hotel’s price. Not recommended.
P K — Google review
They charge you in Euros. Most hotels charge in HUF, the Hungarian currency. But this one does the exchange rate - expensivly - automatically. If you're coming from America it's a right pain, because your card gets two lots of currency transfers going on, first from HUF to Euros, and then from Euros to USD. It's a cheap trick, the hostel gives a bad exchange rate. So it ends up costing you more than other, better, places. Oh, and I had a lousy night's sleep too.

Prince Apartments is a highly recommended accommodation with a great location and quality amenities. The friendly service, bicycle hire, cable TV, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, luggage storage, parking, towels included and housekeeping ensure a comfortable stay. The rooms are well-equipped with iron, fridge, hair dryer, washing machine and microwave. Additionally, the apartments are conveniently located near public transportation and local amenities such as supermarkets and bakeries. The reception staff is helpful in most aspects of your stay.
Really nice place. The room was really big, the kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Location was good, walkable distance to many places, as well as 5’ off a tram station to city center. Would easily book again here.

Reception staff were very friendly and understanding, and were flexible with check-in times when given prior notice. The room was clean and tidy. It was very spacious and comfortable, there were no problems with it. The location is great - very close to public transport, shops and restaurants but also in a quiet area so it wasn’t too noisy at night time. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

At arrival, I was disappointed to find the building old and not as shown in the pictures. Even the room pictures were different. While the location isn’t terrible, I wouldn’t recommend it for tourists. The AC was only in the living room, leaving the bedroom uncomfortable. On the positive side, customer service was responsive and quick. However, with the same amount I later booked a Hilton in the city center, which was much better. I tried to refund the four nights I had paid for, but my request was rejected. In summary, the place is not worth the money as there are far better options available.

Really strong accommodation that would appeal to a wide variety of people. The rooms came equipped with comfortable beds and all of the expected kitchen units that you would expect given that they are studio apartments and not simply bedrooms. There was also a washing machine for any dirty laundry that you may have. No smoking is allowed within the apartment but there is a balcony that you can smoke on if you are that way inclined. Service was always helpful throughout my stay although please be aware that ordinary reception hours were between the hours of 9am and 6pm and so if you are checking in at a late hour or if you have an issue concerning your accommodation outside those hours it is best if you provide the staff with prior notice. The cleaning/ maintenance staff do not speak English and so you may have to have the reception staff act as translators on occasion. Location is terrific: excellent access to public transport via the metro and trams (no. 4/6) and there is a large collection of amenities within walking distance. The street that Prince Apartments is on is still quiet though and so you can easily get a good night's sleep
James D — Google review
The location of the apartment is nice, but the apartment itself could use some renovation. The floor looked like it was flooded before and the walls had all kind of marks on them. In the room there was also a smell of smoke. Also, you can hear through the walls noise from all neighbors.

I’m not sure why ratings are so high, I booked it because of that reason but Rooms were veryyy old school, rug was dirty with stains, there were ants in the room, the small hand towels smelled bad, and there were noises in the middle of the day in the apartment from drilling around us. The location was close to public transport and reception people were nice but the room itself counts a lot for the stay to be enjoyable.

Friends Hostel is a straightforward property that offers free Wi-Fi and features a communal kitchen, dining room, and TV lounge. Guests have praised the value for money, cleanliness, and comfort of the rooms. The staff are described as welcoming and accommodating, with one guest noting their helpfulness at reception. While some minor tidiness issues were mentioned, the hostel's location within a 10-minute walk from the city center was highlighted as a major advantage.
Rooms were clean and tidy but there wasn’t much except for bed. The bathrooms were in living room for every room to use but there weren’t any queues. Additionally i was with 6 people and we only got one key per room which was a bit problematic. We managed it tho cause there is a master lock in the reception so you can leave your keys there for others. The location is really good and didn’t have any problem with commute.

We stayed for a couple of night and it was one of my best hostel experiences. The late night check in is possible with really detailed instructions. The hostel is not really big with private rooms of maximum two people. Bathroom and shower are clean and well furnished. Also the living room and the kitchen feel really homey and give a good vibe. It is really close to the center and easy to reach with public transportation.

This hostel is a disaster waiting to happen. Don't stay here under any circumstances. I rented a private room here recently and when I arrived I found out the wooden stairs that led up into my bed noticeably creaked on several steps. As I looked further at them (as you can see in the photos) the entire staircase showed visible cracks and signs that they needed to replaced before anyone else used them. As you can see in the attached video the handrail wasn't secure at all and swayed significantly with very little effort. They simply weren't safe to use so I ended up sleeping on the 1st floor couch (which is not what I was paying for). Any business should be regularly checking stairs like this at least every year. This is not something that just suddenly appeared in the last year. This is clearly wear and tear on these stairs that has been there for years. You can even see how much the stairs are splitting where the screws are in the attached photos. It also looked like they had painted over some of these cracks. Don't stay here it is genuinely not safe to do so. Management needs to get its act together, not just attack the reviewer (which they have a track record of doing below), and immediately take steps to review every single wooden stair in their rooms for this kind of damage and replace them asap.

★☆☆☆☆ A completely disappointing experience. The hostel’s location was decent, but everything else was a disaster. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and creaked with every little movement. I spent the whole night tossing and turning with back pain, unable to get any sleep. On top of that, the room felt like an icebox, and the heating system wasn’t working. I tried to contact the reception, but no one answered—not even the phones. Later, I had to adjust the air conditioning myself to warm up the room. However, shortly after, a staff member arrived, reset the AC, and aggressively threw the remote on the table. I have never encountered such rude, careless, and unprofessional service before. After checking out, I left a low rating on Booking, only to receive offensive and unacceptable messages on WhatsApp. This is completely unprofessional and shows a total disregard for guest satisfaction. I have kept all records and will take the necessary legal actions. It’s truly unfortunate that such establishments exist in a beautiful city like Budapest. I would never stay here again and definitely do not recommend it to anyone!

A fantastic location for everything. Transport, shopping and dining. I also want to make a special mention for Daniella. I checked out late, but instead of saying we have to charge you for it or getting angry, she was genuinely concerned that I was ok and there were no issues. I really appreciated that and this is reflected in my overall evaluation.

I called the number listed on the reception door, and the staff member said they were off-duty today. I found this completely unacceptable. I asked how it made sense to leave the reception unattended when guests need essentials like towels. However, the staff member insisted that towels could only be provided the next day when they returned to work and said that if I couldn’t stay without towels, I should leave the accommodation. When I expressed how unreasonable this was, they became irritated, spoke to us in a condescending manner, and kept telling us to leave. The staff member’s name is “Jack”. Be cautious if you encounter him. This was by far the worst accommodation experience I’ve had in Europe.

Sun Resort Apartments in Budapest offers a casual and comfortable stay with air-conditioned rooms equipped with kitchens, free Wi-Fi, and flat-screen TVs. The location is convenient for exploring the city, being close to attractions like the Dohany Street Synagogue, Liszt Ferenc Square, and the Central Market Hall. The apartment was large and very comfortable. It had everything you might need on your trip. The bed was comfortable, there was a lot of space in closets and the bathtub instead of the standing shower was a plus. The option to leave a luggage on reception before check on and after check out was SO HELPFUL, we had much more time for enjoying the Budapest before our ride back home. I strongly recommend this place.

I DO NOT recommend this place to visit!!! I was a returning guest monthly. Knowing the rules and never had a problem. On my last visit, the apartment was dirty! Plates, cutlery, kitchen, bathroom, towels. I waited 5 hours for cleaning. After my check-out, I was fined for smoking cigarettes in the apartment. I do smoke cigarettes, but I know the house rules and I followed them! I complained by email, the answer was that we are talking about the problem with the "management and money back transfer" this was 3 months ago. I tried to contact then again, no response.

I used this accommodation for a night because it was on offer at the platform called Agora. Apartment has no much potential but walls and furniture already had some stains despite is being relatively newly built. Also they wanted to charge me some ridiculous amount of money for cleaning beforehand, but I didn't fall for it, be careful when checking in.

Great apartment with extra bedroom, separate toilet and bathroom (with washing machine). kitchen, dining area and living area. Large balcony - unfortunately without seating. Apartment is very clean, modernly furnished. In the kitchen you will find all the crockery, etc. What is unfortunately to complain about (we had apartment 114): The mattresses should definitely be renewed.

photos on the booking were really nice, but they absolutely did not show the reality. We were supposed to have a deluxe apartment, but we ended up in a hostel. The cleaning lady did not even see the balcony, the room was dirty, the dust had not been wiped off, the belongings were damaged, the walls were stained. really unpleasant. We asked to change the room, but the room they showed us looked the same, only it was smaller and had a worse view. We didn't get shower supplies. Indeed, the photos showed beautiful rooms, but the reality was terrible. we were supposed to have a separate toilet and bathroom on the room plan, which we didn't have either. if you are looking for a hotel, definitely go somewhere else.

Very nice apartments, well-equipped, in a nice and modern building. Ideal if you prefer home-like feeling during your stay in Budapest. Nice neighbourhood, close to metro and not too far from the center of Pest. However, the staff might have been a little friendlier.

Rooms are nice but everything good ends here. The accommodation is after 16:00 which is rather annoying. We paid cleaning fee of 10 EUR. We could not enter into the rooms because they where not ready. Beds where not made when entered. One of the sleeping sofas was even broken. We lost another 2h relocating to other rooms. They charge you for everything including air-conditioning. Management is completely incapable. There is construction works 10 meters from our room so you can get even a good nap in the morning. Terrible choice never again.

The LOFT Astoria is a luxurious hotel with stylish rooms and apartments with city views. The restaurant has a refined atmosphere and serves some of the best food in the city. There is also a terrace that offers stunning views of the city.
Very cosy, quite tastefully decorated, perfectly clean and very well equipped. Great location. Few steps to the metro. Walking distance to the all main attractions. There is a McDonalds at the entrance of the building. It is open very late and highly preferred by the tourists. The free private parking place is invaluable in Budapest 🙂 Definitely we will be back 👍 All the best for Marianna...

The one star is just for the convenient location of the place but I would advise spending a little bit more for better accommodation. Yes the place seems aesthetically pleasing but there were issues with cleanliness and noise that we were willing to overlook or bring up privately (stains on bath mat, dirty kitchen, razor head and mess from last guests). The main problem is with staff (who were smoking in the courtyard area) going through our personal belongings when we weren’t in!!! We would come back to all our bags open, with every zip undone and recklessly searched through. Belongings were not how we left it and they were clearly scavenging for money. It’s one thing to not do your job properly (which is just to replace the towels and clean) and another thing to attempt to steal from your guests. Every night we had to barricade our doors to make sure nobody would come in uninvited, which is a ridiculous thing to do on holiday but we clearly couldn’t trust the people who had access to our room. Either way, I’ve had to give this public review to raise awareness so that this hopefully won’t happen again and I would seriously consider a change in staff. We also wanted a kitchen to save money and cook some meals at the apartment, however wasn’t fully equipped. It lacked basic kitchen equipment like cutting board, frying pan, turner, etc. Wouldn’t recommend this place. At least you get a nice TV though x

Very mid experience. I was not sent check in instructions prior to arriving. There are two door codes plus a lock box to enter your room. There is no “reception” or staff to check in with despite the instructions. The room was not nice. There were scuff marks and stains ALL OVER the walls, holes in one wall, and the glass part of the bathroom door is shattered. The room is huge but no couch, just two small chairs. The cleaning crew were rude and smoking in the staircase. The location was great but over all but not good quality.

Even though there are a lot of bad reviews out there, our 1-night stay at the upper apartments was very good. Reserved it last minute through the booking, the apartments were ready and we just picked up the key and checked in by ourselves without meeting with the staff. Same with the check-out. The rooms were clean, bed sheets were fresh. The best part of those apartments was a big panoramic window so you can see one of the busiest streets of the city. Highly recommended (at least for this big apartment on the top floor)

we stayed for 3 nights and it was a horrible experience. first of all there is no reception or no front desk. we reached at 11 in the night and it was very hot, once we checked it in to our room we found out the AC was not working. we tried calling them for help but all in vain after wasting 1.30 hrs on phone they asked to sleep with our windows open!!! mind you we were two female travellers .. being asked to sleep with windows open which were easily accessible for any intruder. next morning after making several calls the maintenance man came at 12 noon and tells us that there was no gas in the AC. i mean wth .. we had made the booking in a month advance, the least they could do was make sure everything was working fine. Also, there is just too much noise from the road. Avoid at all costs.

Great place to stay for a reasonable price. The hotel staff and receptionist at the office are super welcoming and helpful🙏 The hotel room that I was staying in was, unfortunately, not so luxurious / pleasant as I had hoped for. The water trap in the floor drain in the bathroom was partially blocked and smelled. It could easily be fixed with a service inspection. Possibly an odor barrier.
Marthin L — Google review
Great location, very close to the metro. Online check-in is very easy and there is no time limit. Rooms are big and clean! Everything is there, like pots and pans and an oven and a microwave and even a washing machine I would definitely come back!!!
CiCi Y — Google review
Not usually one to moan or write bad reviews but wanted to make people aware so they weren’t as let down as we were. Very disappointed. Nothing like photos. Check in process very complicated (have to email them your passport & card details to get code to enter building as no reception). Entrance way looks extremely dodgy, with broken glass door and mirror. Room was very dirty, stained furniture, broken cupboards, broken blinds, dirty bedding, air conditioning didn’t work, windows not sound proof at all so kept awake by traffic, only get 1 key card so if you decided to go out separately you both wouldn’t be able to get back in. Didn’t get a single clean/towel change for the 4 nights we were here and one of the beds wasn’t even made up when we arrived, had to email them to get someone to come and put bedding on it, to then we walked in on by the maid at 5pm who just waltzed in, put the bedding on and walked out slamming the door. The shower does not drain water and leaves a pool, which you are given a mop and bucket and expected to clean the water yourself. Kitchen appliances OK but stove was dirty, dishwasher had no tablets to use and a nespresso coffee machine with no coffee pods provided. Emailed to ask if we could extend our checkout time or store our bags somewhere as we have to be out by 10am but our flight isn’t until 8pm, but had no response. Real real shame as we were so excited to come to this apartment as it looks beautiful on the photos (furniture and bedding completely different from photos). The space has such potential but has been a real let down as it just seems like nobody cares about the property. Would’ve given a 0 out of 5 but here are the positives: the room is a good size and it is a good location. smart TV so can login to netflix/youtube etc. main bedroom mattress fairly comfy. walls seem to be pretty soundproof as can’t hear neighbours. AVOID.

The hostel is conveniently situated near major attractions and public transportation options. Emphasizing cleanliness and comfort, Absolut City Hostel provides a peaceful retreat for travelers to relax after a day of adventure.
It was good. Showers and toilets are too small in my opinion. Not too clean showers. Besides this there is a relaxed zone, kitchen, I really like decision about long sofa in the room, it’s really comfortable. Overall I like everything, thank you:) Location is great!

Cancelled our booking we made in August 2024 only a month ago with no reason other than a 'technical issue'. Very convenient considering it's during the F1 and the rooms have doubled in price. Very gready and shocking!!

Since I arrived late at night while letting them know beforehand, they sent me the instructions on how to enter my room. The first outside door opened fine. The inner door did not open using the given code. I tried using a variety of combinations with the * and # sign, but nothing worked. I kept on trying for approximately 1 hour around 4 am. The outside of the building did not seem safe to stay any longer so I booked a different hostel that was way better. I followed their instructions to the letter. I sent them the emergency email but they were sleeping. They replied the next day by saying " we will not refund someone who doesn't know how to read" although I didn't ask for money back, this is a very disrespectful way of answering. I do not recommend booking with them.
Qusai S — Google review
Nice and clean. Hostel is great, reception employees were helpful and nice to us. The only downside is that our room was directly above bar and it was very loud until morning on Saturday, on Sunday it was fine. For the price it was a great value and I would stay here again. Just don't forget to take earplugs with you.

Unfortunately i didn't have the pleasure to learn more about the interior of the apartments because i spent all night trying to contact them without any luck. I arrived late at night in Budapest and had an agreement with the host that they will be expecting me beyond the usual check in hour due to flight time restrictions.I stated my time of arrival both in their online check in platform and Booking.Despite all that i stayed outside of the establishment for at least an hour calling, messaging and ringing their doorbell but nobody answered so i decided to resolve the matter by calling booking customer service which resulted into cancelling my reservation.I had to book another place to stay the night( all of that was happening during midnight 😠).They didn't even care to check if i arrived and instead the next day they gave me the excuse that their computer wasn't working properly and that they just saw what happened even though they were informed that a refund was requested. Also they didn't even offer to at least accommodate us at a lower price, just that it was unfortunate and they were very sorry.Truly one of the worst experiences i had so far in terms of customer service.
Alex G — Google review
If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is the worst experiences I have ever had with a hostel. They have been completely awful, rooms were dirty, cracked and smelly. The staff did not respond to my attempts to contact them. I cant believe people operate businesses like this, its very sad. I am not going to waste anymore time on this place but please beware before deciding to stay here. Edit added due to rude comments from the Hostel: I DID contact your team multiple times, sent emails and called right away but lack of customer service as evident here as well. Its a money grab scheme, they will do anything. I have screenshots and backup proof.
Rohan P — Google review
Firstly I want to say that I would only book this hostel for 1/2 nights if you coming to the airport or going to the airport at inconvenience hours. If you want to stay more than 2 nights book elsewhere because the noise from the main road is unbearable. The wall is also very thin so you can hear everything outside the room. They have a equipped kitchen and give out free coffee/ tea. Other than that it's for 1/2nights only IMO. My stay here served it's purpose hence its 4* from me. Feedback to the owner: instead of sending emails asking what time the guest coming over and to check in online, replace it with email guidance how to enter the doors or make arrangements for late check in guests easier. This way I believe it will boost the review scores

The hostel's location is great , giving walking access to most of the sites in Budapest, and also access to metro, tram and airport shuttle so you can move around easily and without hustle. Cozy place , nice facilities (equipped kitchen ,and dinning area), easy check in process. The rooms could be bigger, and a bit cleaner (on arrival at least). The curtains did not block the light from the street , and there was cold air coming in from the window. The WiFi was efficient in most cases , with some disconnections.

The Loft Budapest is a chic hotel located near the river, offering refined and well-furnished rooms with flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi. Situated in the heart of the city, it is only a short distance from the subway and main square. The rooms provide magical views of the mountains of Buda. Guests can enjoy spacious and cozy rooms with great bed comfort. While breakfast is not available at the hotel, there are plenty of nearby options for dining.
Fantastic hotel for the price, clean, friendly staff, great location. Only downside was we struggled to close one of the curtains in the room all the way, small corner was left open. Adjacent were some tall buildings so mindful people could potentially see in the room from that small area.

Booked a room and paid for that. But my plans changed and I asked to refund the money (2 weeks before my date), but they told me that it is impossible. Strange approach, that's why strongly NOT RECOMMEND!
Kostiantyn S — Google review
Extremely disappointing experience. Due to the sudden escalation of war in Israel, all flights were cancelled and I had no way to reach the property. While most hotels showed understanding and refunded or rebooked customers in similar situations, this hotel chose to hide behind "non-refundable" policies and refused any flexibility — no refund, no date change, nothing. They preferred to keep money for a service they knew was impossible to use, showing zero empathy or professionalism. I strongly advise avoiding this property if you expect basic human decency and fair treatment in unexpected circumstances.
Vlad — Google review
Good hotel! Way better than anticipated. Beautiful room with plenty of space, a high ceiling (giving the room an extra luxurious touch) and a nice bed that looks like it's floating. The bathroom is basically in the same room, just separated by a big mirror. It's really nice. The hotel is really conveniently located, since it's in the center and many things are in walking distance or near a subway station.

I recently stayed at THe Loft Budapest and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived with my dog, I was impressed by the warm welcome we received. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making both me and my furry companion feel right at home. The room was spacious, clean, and exceptionally comfortable, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel’s location was perfect for us, as we were traveling with car.

The location is amazing near so many places. Despite the central location, it was still quiet enough at night. The room was comfy and beautiful. There was coffee and water available at reception. The limited number of rooms made for a cozy, boutique feel. We loved the huge windows which allowed for a lot of natural light. The receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were able to access the hotel easily even though it was outside of operating hours. The receptionist kindly watched over our luggage after our checkout time. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good central location for a decent price and a sweet atmosphere.

Aventura Boutique Hostel and Apartments Budapest offers a variety of themed dorms, private rooms, and apartments with a shared kitchenette. The accommodation is conveniently located near the WestEnd City Center shopping mall and the Hungarian Parliament Building in the Angyalfold - Ujlipotvaros district. Guests appreciate the friendly staff, unique room themes, and great kitchen facilities.
The best part of our experience at the hostel was with the front desk. It's a very small hostel so you really get to know the staff and they were so personable and helpful. They gave us tips on all the fun things to do and places to eat. They really made our experience personal. This hostel is a little far from the center of Budapest but if you don't mind walking (especially in a very safe city in well lit areas) then it's not an issue. The room we were in (the Africa room) was also so fun to stay in because of the loft and the hammock it had!
Leigh A — Google review
The staff were really friendly and I loved the themes to the bedrooms. I stayed in the Africa themed room and it was great, I also got a post card left on my bed. There was great kitchen facilities. The only issue was that I didn’t get to meet any of the others staying at the hostel. People tended to stay in there rooms. My bed also creaked when I moved. Other than that I really liked staying here, it was located near plenty of restaurants and was only a short bus ride from some of the fab attractions.
Naoise F — Google review
Aventura is a clean, quiet cozy little place in a central location. Staff was very kind and helpful. I've been to the hostel twice over three years and had a great time both times that I was there. In both occasions I stayed in the Japan room which is a private double. It's nicely furnished with the essentials. Outside of the room there's all you could expect from a hostel: kitchen, free wifi, tons of info about places to go and things to see in Budapest and elsewhere. If you're backpacking and looking for a cheap but nice place to stay it's definitely recommended.
Francesco M — Google review
I spent 3 nights there. This place was nice, quiet, with an original decoration. The area around was quiet as well, and good located, indeed, near from the Nyugati Train and Metro Station, a big commercial center, many pubs and restaurants, and the Danube as well. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast was always served at the good moment :)
Dinh Q — Google review
It's a great hostel, one of the best I got to see in the city (and I tried out quite a few of them!). The staff is friendly, everyone here provides great tips on things to do in Budapest (check the big board after the entrance!). I also like the design of the hostel, which is both nice and creative (and gosh, these great Budapest flats from the 13th district better check them out!). More than great value for your money!
Helene B — Google review
Excellent place to stay, quiet-off the main road so you can open windows if you need, great value, choice of accommodation type, I'd describe the hostel as bohemian without being seedy, great space in the [lockable] room & large, lockable storage drawers under the bed (which I didn't feel the need to lock up), NOT bunks crammed into a space. Wood flooring, towel hanging rack (great touch), individual lamps over each bed plus individual bedside tables. Duvets provided. Also a large table/chairs in the centre of our room which is a nice touch too. Mezzanines are used cleverly to add to the space and avoid crowding. Good full kitchen & fridge, daily filtered coffee with honesty jar (thank you!). Free wifi and full computer terminal with usb hub (for charging if you forgot your charger like I did!). Excellent location. Hostels in Budapest and in many locations around the world are still great but have become a bit standardised and "handle volumes of people efficiently". Aventura is still part of the old set of hostels, clean, good space, well run but individual in character and just the right amount of quirky! And it's warm (my stay was in January)! Excellent money changer across the main road too! Highly recommended.
Deepak K — Google review
Location is great - especially if you're travelling to and from Nyugati. Staff are friendly. My boyfriend and I stayed in the Japan room, and unfortunately didn't have a great night's sleep, as there is no 24hr reception so people kept pressing the buzzer to get in. We woke up many times during the night. Perhaps in the dorm rooms there wouldn't be this problem.

Very nice place, the staff is very hospitable and keeps the place clean. Got to meet nice people here and it’s reasonably priced. The location is great and the environment is quite relaxed. They have good internet as well.

All reviews about this place is true and we personally witnessed the hell. The person who’s managing it as well as the admin/manager who stays there are pathetic people to work with especially for foreign tourists. Even though it’s located at a nice location, I’d not recommend anyone to stay even for one night. Don’t let the price fool you and spoil your vacation in Budapest. Please look for other places that could be way better than this. There’s no place to sit and talk, beds are not clean, it’s extremely scary at night to visit this place. Please stay away
Prasanna N — Google review
You can walk everywhere. However, a hostel is not suitable for multi-person use as it is a converted house. It may not be a good choice for those who do not want to manage. Its only advantage is its good location and cheapness.
Emir G — Google review
Staff smile and say hello when check in other than that they hide from you and don't offer any guidance or help , and worstly they don't listen to you when you have a problem , cleaning of the place is not consistent , be careful because robbers get in the hostel and try and rob , homeless people stay there and don't want guests there . A gay guest tried it on with me , beds are dangerously uncomfortable, extremely thin mattress and pillows worn out , The hostel owner Gabriel frauded me of four nights accommodation , police are not interested , can't check in before 3pm and they don't like you leaving luggage before check in in fact they take the buzzer off so you cannot call them , everyone incredibly rude and volunteers don't want you there and constantly find ways to stop you from resting , I personally wouldn't give it a 1 rating extremely bad experiences there with staff owners and drugged up guests . Unfortunately most of Budapest hostels are similar, try Romania much better experiences , good luck travelling, . One last thing I caught a rash off the bed sheets all over my body and especially on the back of my neck , dirty bedding and definitely don't use washing detergent , they just spray the bedding with floral spray , terrible place , keep away.

I booked 2 nights, I left after one... By far the worst hostel experience I ever had. Avoid at all cost. first of all it's not a hostel, it's just someone who bought an apartment and placed bunk beds in it. Second of all, bed bugs everywhere. Third of all, it's old run down and the lockers are broke. Fourth of all, it's impossible to find. Not a single sign saying where the entrance is (because it's literally in an apartment block) The only good thing is that the owner was really engaged into helping me find the place, probably because they have this issue all the time. I can write a few more sentences about this but I believe you can feel the point. If you read this owner, please do something about it and don't call yourself a hostel...
Guus M — Google review
I arrived outside the door, rung the bell twice, waited for 10 minutes, called the given number, the lady said that she will let her colleague know and open the door. Waited for another 20 minutes, rung the bell a couple of times and then finally gave up. Strict check in times is okay, but inability to check in during the said hours is just unacceptable. On top of it, the attitude on phone was just beyond unprofessional. Definitely NOT recommend it. Decided to chuck the booking in the end.

Great location. Very affordable. Staff speaks good English and everyone is incredibly nice. There is a shared kitchen, usually empty, so you can make something quick or just boil water for tea. We got a spacious room for three with a bathroom for only two people. There is a fridge in the room. It has even more than we wished for given the low price.

If you're looking for a cheap place that is close to many things - it's the right place. If you want a clean, nice and QUIET place this is NOT the place for you. Largely manned by volunteers, the front desk is rather unreliable. Twice, I was left stood outside buzzing and buzzing in order to get in - the first time being around midnight in the pouring rain when I'd just arrived in the city. Additionally, the shower room and toilets aren't attached to the rooms directly but are through another room then across the hall, so some distance away.

Amazing place. Very cosy, quiet and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Luksa and Virag!

The worst host ever! She reply our messages late but when we do the same she tried to charge us 35.000huf for accidentally pouring 20cl water on the bed. Oh, also she claimed that we urinated :) Besides the kitchen was very dirty and smelly!
Fatma D — Google review
Not that bad but also not very organized. It's a small hostel. There's better places in Budapest for the same price. I'll give 3 stars because the location is good.
Yan P — Google review
Very nice owner, good location, spacious rooms, clean bathrooms. Quite noisy, because of the echo in the rooms and you have to keep the windows open, because there is no fan or airco.

City Hall
The Old Town Hall in Budapest, Hungary is a historic Gothic landmark dating back to the 14th century. The building itself was constructed between 1710 and 1873 and served as the municipal center until Buda and Pest merged. It features a blend of old and new architectural styles, with well-preserved castle walls alongside modern architecture. The hall also houses the Triniti cafe, offering visitors a warm respite while exploring the castle district.
Amazing architecture & statuary. Trip of a lifetime!

Astonishing
Balázs S — Google review
(Translated by Google) The building was the administrative center of the city of Buda for more than 160 years, and then of the 1st district for another 70 years. Its characteristic feature is the ornately carved corner plinth, as well as the limestone statue visible below, which was carved and gifted to Buda by an Italian master. The work depicts Athena Pallas, the Greek goddess who was the protector of cities. The seated figure is resting on his knee and holds a shield decorated with the coat of arms of the city of Buda in his right hand, and a spear in his left hand. (This copy was made in 1965, the original is kept in today's Budapest City Hall).

(Translated by Google) Very elegantly renovated in keeping with the times, keeping the old atmosphere, but there are also modern architectural solutions. A courtyard covered with glass ..a bookstore, a cafe and a museum combined. (Original) Nagyon elegánsan korhűen felújítva, megtartva a régi hangulatot, de modern építészeti megoldások is vannak. Üveggel fedett udvar ..egy könyvesbolt egy kávézó és múzeum együttes.
Iván K — Google review
(Translated by Google) There is a bookstore, restaurant, and exhibition space on the ground floor and basement of the renovated old town hall. The first floor and attic are closed to visitors, and institutional work is in progress. The areas that can be visited inside the building sometimes have a medieval atmosphere. Entering the building from Szentáromság utca, you can see the Sun Statue on the part of the wall that has been faithfully restored. It is misleading that some of the photos posted here have nothing to do with this building.

(Translated by Google) We were walking in the castle district, it was cold and we accidentally came across the Triniti cafe, which is located in the Old Town Hall, we went in to have something warm to drink and warm up in between. It was built in the summer, inside the old and new architectural styles meet, it is good to see the old castle walls in very good condition recalling the past, alongside modern architecture. The Old Town Hall is very attractive and spectacular. To our surprise, we were also able to see the coins of our kings as part of an interactive exhibition, which is free, very high-quality, and a good pastime. I highly recommend this to everyone, because the building is very interesting from the outside as well as from the inside. Young and old alike will enjoy it, a beautifully restored building from our past, the rightful pride of the Castle District.

(Translated by Google) Buda Old Town Hall (Régi Budai Városháza) The city hall building itself began in 1710 and ended in 1873 when Buda and Pest merged and the municipal center was moved. There was originally an explanation board next to the statue at the corner with the title "PADA", but unfortunately it was only in Hungarian and I couldn't understand it at all. Fortunately, the explanation of the Old City Hall briefly mentions that she is actually Athena, the god of war in Greek mythology. It was created by Italian sculptor Carlo Adami in 1785. The shield depicts the Buda city emblem. (Translated by Google) A very nice hostel with 3 rooms, kitchen, bathroom and extra toilet. The landlord was very friendly and helpful and even spoke German. Yes, the old wooden floor creaks and the walls aren't the thickest, but that doesn't bother me personally. The location is great. You can get to the metro in just a few minutes and get everywhere from there. (Original) Ein sehr nettes Hostel mit 3 Zimmern, Küche, Bad und extra WC. Die Lage ist super. Man ist innerhalb von ein paar Minuten an der Metro und kommt von dort überall hin.
