It offers an immersive experience with its marine and freshwater exhibits, including an underwater tunnel, Bedouin life display, zoo, and restaurant. A very beautiful place with a very beautiful variety of fish. You feel that the fish are performing an artistic role and they are the actors. Also, the show of the divers with the sharks and fish while feeding them is very beautiful. Honestly, an experience worthy of amazement.

I booked this trip through a tour operator, but you can also take a taxi yourself. I think it's much cheaper that way. It was a very expensive trip and not worth the price. You'll be done in no time. It's beautiful to see, though. Bring cash; you can buy food for 1 euro at the beginning. For the fish, monkeys, and turtles. Great fun for the kids. There's also a camel to ride outside for 5 euros. Of course, there's plenty of opportunity to take photos everywhere. At the end, it's 10 euros per photo. Stuffed animals are available for sale outside for around 7 euros.
Excellent experience as it showcases a lot of beautiful wildlife. Ample parking outside, and is wheelchair accessible, recommended for all ages. Ticket is pricey for what it is but you can spend all day there and even hand feed some of the fish and other animals
My partner and I came here during our trip to Hurghada. We paid £48.60 for both tickets via 'get your guide' which was cheaper than our Hotel Representative. This included collection and drop off.
We had a great time- the outdoor zoo was a bit small with limited things to see but we enjoyed meeting the giant tortoises 🐢 monkeys and of course all the stray kittens which were running around! They were super cute.. there was also a camal available for rides... he was wearing a pair of huge sunglasses which I wasn't so sure about 🤔
The aquarium itself was nice. The divers would encourage the sting rays/ sharks over to the window so you could grab a photo. Theres also a little shop (really little..) inside the Aquarium which sells snacks and weird gifts but it was expensive. I think I paid €6 for a tub of pringles 😅 but overall it was an enjoyable experience and I would recommend 👌🏻
Also, as youre leaving the Aquarium you walk into a much larger shop which sells tones of different gifts. We bought most our items from here and were super impressed with the variety and prices.
We expected a lot better quality of the whole aquarium. The first part is probably the worst, we saw a dead floating koi fish in the water, 2 probably dead lizards (they looked squished, one had ants crawling on his head) and the whole rainforest theme was fake and plastic. The second part was outside where there wasn’t enough space at all for the amount of animals. The owls have almost nothing in their enclosure. Three water turtles had probably 3 m2 of space. The fish had small enclosures too, but i think it’s not that bad. The big aquarium was ok. One white shark was on the ground and shaking (?) the whole time. We didn’t get to see the feeding.
It looks like it was popular and used to look nice, but now it looks old and unkept. It looks good in photos, but it definitely needs renovation and better care for the animals!
Very nice place. Be sure to take the kids. The tunnel is a fantastic place to take pictures. The turtle kingdom is a special experience, turtles are such gentle and tame animals.
My partner and I visited here today which we booked with our Holiday Rep. We'll start with the good things first.
There are plenty of animals to see not all marine life. You can get very close to alot of the animals, and even feed a few straight from your hand.
There it a tortoise section where you are in the enclosure with them and can even hold them.
There are a few underwater tunnels and even have a live display where divers will feed aquatic life and you can see them all up very close.
The bad bits.
Firstly some areas have a very strong smell but you'd expect some smell as they are animals.
Take food and drink, they have a cafe and shop but it's expensive.
Some of the enclosures look a little run down and sad looking for the animals.
In a whole it was a good way to use 2 hours of your day.
Some notes:
- if you bring your own camera, you have to pay an extre fee of €25.
- Photographers will take your pictures during the visit, and at the end, you'll be asked to pay €15 for each photo.
About the mini zoo:
- In my opinion, the animals don't have enough space (especially when compared to zoos in Germany or South America).
- You can feed some of the animals, which can be nice for kids.
About the aquarium:
- there's not enough information about the fish you're seeing.
- There is a "feeding show," but I found it unpleasant. Some fish animals seem bothered and stressed during the process.

The sculptures, crafted by 42 sculptors from around the world, include iconic figures like pyramids, Anubis, Eye of Horus as well as unexpected characters such as Sponge Bob Squarepants and Pippi Longstocking.
It was exceptional! Sculptures are insanely gorgeous and there was labels tells some hisortic facts on the sculpture in different languages. The artist, Abanoub, also was there and told us about the techniques and all. He also invited us to the lights show at night (it was open until 12:00 am) and it was another great, different experience. Tickets were available on doors and you can pay either cash or visa. The place also had an Arabian tent that serves drinks. Highly recommend.

Very impressive place, statues made by compressing sand and art made to such detail. If you have opportunity don't miss this place. Recommending 10/10. One of the owners let us stay in a small beduin like "village" to watch fire show and have shisha and tea for resonable price of 200egp/pp.

It's a nice place, but the camel riders are out to rip you off. They want $10 for a ride and won't stop until you get on. They grab your hand and force you onto the camel. When you refuse to pay them, they go to your guide. I warn You, don't pay them if they're so rude, so be careful.
Very nice exhibition. Filigree work, true to detail. There was a man with a camel at the entrance, he was very nice. Immediately put the child up, everything was great. Then he demanded 60€. We didn't want to pay, he became very unfriendly and said in Egypt everything costs something. We ended up giving him $30. For 10 minutes!! Absolute RIP-OFF.
Visited Sun City today and I am very impressed how nice and clean the area is and a lot of reviews were negative saying it takes 10 minutes to go through it but it’s lovely and there’s descriptions on every sand sculpture and it took us about an hour and a half, and we didn’t have children with us. They have a night dinner area with performers and they have a little ice cream coffee place and a nice quiet place to rest. I will definitely come back with some children and other visitors to Hurghada

Recently, I had the chance to visit the Hurghada Museum for the very first time, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was filled with excitement and curiosity.
The museum is beautifully designed and incredibly well-organized. Each exhibit is thoughtfully arranged, creating a smooth and immersive experience for visitors.
Walking through the halls felt like being transported back in time, as if I were on a short journey through ancient history,
The History of Egypt.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in incient Egypt history, culture, or simply looking to explore something new in Hurghada.

I really do like public places where the employees smoke it gives a first bad impression. Then I had to wait to be served as the guy was too busy on his phone to even know I was there. They seem only to take card for payment which was 200le, £3.15 uk.
It was not busy on my visit maybe 6 guests while I was there. The museum is a modern building with a few artifacts on display but very nice ones and it took me about 1 hour to go around slowly.
They are currently just finishing off a tourist shopping mall there also.
This is an incredible museum in most countries this would be one of the best things to do but Egypt has so much to offer that this museum doesn’t get a mention. If you are in the area it is worth a visit
A really nice museum which is quiet but has some really interesting pieces of Egyptian history.
We did a day trip to Luxor the day before so this really fitted with the excursion as there was a replica of an unearthed tomb with sarcophagus etc.
The museum is very cheap and easy to get to and there was a nice mall on the exit which we got some good items from.
Recommended a visit in the evening too
A MUST VISIT and a Great experience ❤️ I recommend visiting at nighttime for calm time, they also have a shopping center at the exit of the museum with lots of shops for almost everything. We got some Egyptian Galabia from there.
It's a small museum, takes 2 h maximum if you take your time for every piece and is comprehensive for the Egyptian history eras. There were some fayoum portraits and golden mummies I was amazed honestly 😍 everything was nicely described.
Plenty to see although the mall under it is larger and quite expensive as you'd expect, but hey it's the closest place to go and see real mummies, real artifacts, just don't forget your passport it's needed for entry

Senzo Mall, the largest mall in Hurghada, has been a popular shopping destination since 2009. It offers a wide range of international brands, a food court, hypermarket, and kids' play area. The mall features various sections filled with excellent clothing and shoe stores from famous brands like Mango, Adidas, and Aldo. Additionally, there's a supermarket for daily necessities and dining options such as McDonald's and Saya Cafe.
Brilliant place to visit. They have a McDonalds and kfc. The portion sizes are twice as big as the uk. Also Spinneys is brilliant it’s almost like Asda it has everything and all priced so you won’t get ripped off.

I was in Egypt for two weeks. This mall was really nice. They had a lot of great stores and even a grocery store.
Very good mall, here you can find almost everything, BUT YOU CANT CHANGE YOUR MONEY IN ATM, ALL OF THEM ARE NOT WORKING 😭 So you are coming to spend money, but you cant, can you imagine?

Nice small mall. Clean inside and outside. There are cafes, restaurants, food court. There are local brand stores and stores of famous popular brands, but I would like more international stores. On Fridays and holidays there is an entertainment program for children.
Excellent modern shopping center highly reccomend a visit & had dinner at 'chillis ' in the outdoor food court

Makadi Water World is a large waterpark in Makadi Bay, Egypt, offering fun for both kids and adults with its pools, slides, concessions, and lounging areas. We had an amazing time at Makadi Water World during our stay in Makadi Bay. The water park is massive, with a great variety of slides to suit all ages and levels of thrill-seeking. From adrenaline-pumping slides like the Tunnel Free Fall to more family-friendly options, there’s something for everyone.
We arrived just before 10 AM and practically had the place to ourselves for the first couple of hours, which was brilliant. Within two hours, we’d already been on every slide at least twice!
One of the best features is the all-inclusive access with hotel wristbands. It made grabbing food and drinks throughout the day so convenient. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the food options were surprisingly good for a water park—burgers, pizzas, and fresh fruit kept us fuelled up for the day.
The park is clean, well-maintained, and has plenty of sun loungers and shaded areas to relax in between rides. The kids had an absolute blast, and so did we!
Whether you’re staying at a nearby hotel or just visiting for the day, Makadi Water World is a must-visit. It’s a fantastic day out for families, and we’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Egypt. Highly recommended!

The only reason I would not give it five stars is because of the very hot grounds that make it very difficult to walk between the slides. There should be a warning for visitors beforehand, Perfect for the family. You have different rides for all ages and groups, with an all inclusive package that covers all you can eat or drink. Mini Egypt Park is an open-air museum located in Makadi Bay, offering visitors a unique educational experience. The park features around 55 miniature models of Egypt's most famous tourist attractions, including the Pyramids of Giza, the Karnak Temple, the High Dam, and the Alexandria Library. These detailed replicas provide a precise idea of Egypt's historical facts and architecture.
Booked private tour. Collected from hotel on time and driver would wait for as long as we needed before returning us to our hotel. Our guide was Mr Walid. Very informative and interesting tour. He took photos with my camera from various angles to give the impression of the scale of the actual sites. Scaled down exhibits were incredible. I would highly recommend a private tour of Mini Egypt

Mini Egypt Park – Review
Nice place, interesting to see all the famous Egyptian landmarks in miniature. However, it’s definitely a “one-time visit” attraction – I’ve been there, seen it, and wouldn’t go back again. Worth going once just for the experience.
Mini Egypt is a fun little park that you can make work if you know what you are visiting. The park is exactly what it states: the famous buildings that Egypt has to offer, all in a mini scale. It is reasonably well maintained, but could do with an update. The staff is not very involved but very kind when you ask them for something. Be prepared that there is little shade and that, without a guide, the information you get about the buildings is rather scarce. If you want to take some time, you can make some pretty great-looking pictures though. Should the entry fee, which is admittedly a little on the steep side, not be too much for you, then you can spend an entertaining hour or two here.
Nice place, but there are no many things to see. The park is quite small and looks a little bit old. Price is too expensive for this park - 20€ per person.
Walid was an absolutely amazing tour guide throughout our entire visit to Mini Egypt Park! He was not only extremely funny and entertaining, but also very knowledgeable about all the attractions making the experience both educational and enjoyable. He has a great talent for photography, always finding the best angles and helping us capture beautiful memories. His friendly personality and positive energy really made the tour unforgettable.
Mahmoud, our driver, was also fantastic — always smiling, polite, and professional. He drove safely and comfortably, ensuring we had a relaxing journey from start to finish. Both Walid and Mahmoud made our trip extra special, and we’re truly grateful for their excellent service. Highly recommend them both!

Marina Hurghada is a modern and stunning marina that comes alive in the evening, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the enchanting underwater world. The city of Hurghada is divided into three areas: El Dahar, El Sakala, and Touristic Road.

Good place for some food and drinks, a bit quirky in places. Disappointed in some of the shops that all prices were in usd. To much hassle trying to work out. Would be better in egp but hey ho we just didn't buy anything from those shops. No hassle from shop staff which was a nice change. The obligatory camel sitting on the pavement of course. You can also book trips, submarine trip etc and if you come out and walk along to the right you come to the mosque and fish market

Great place for a walk in Egypt ⛵🦀 nice and calm, not too much people around trying to sell you something.
Hurghada Marina is a modern, well-maintained promenade designed primarily for tourists. It’s lined with stylish but often overpriced restaurants, all set in a clean, polished environment. While it’s pleasant to stroll around, it doesn’t reflect the authentic Hurghada – you’ll mostly encounter locals here working in service roles, likely due to the higher prices.
The entire area is gated and heavily secured, which may give some visitors a sense of exclusivity or safety. However, this setup might also imply that the rest of Hurghada is less safe – which is not true. Personally, I felt safe at all times throughout the city.
Still, the Marina is worth visiting, especially if you enjoy a touch of Monaco-style glamour while on the Red Sea. Come for a sunset walk or a drink with a view – just don’t expect to experience local culture here.

El Dahar Bazar in Hurghada is a vibrant and authentic market that caters more to local residents than tourists. The chaotic layout of the shops may make it challenging to find specific items, but everyday goods like food, clothing, and household items are plentiful. While not designed for comfort, the bazaar offers a genuine experience with friendly locals and a wide variety of products for sale. Visitors can explore numerous shops and market stalls offering an array of items.
Fantastic market area, multiple shops and market stalls. People are friendly and helpful. You'll be amazed what you can find on sale here. El Dahar is walking distance from the bus station. You can can spend all day here just looking around lots of juice bars to quench your thirst.

If You want to experience the real life in Hurghada, You have to visit the Old Town of El Dahar, north of Hurghada’s luxury resorts, where you’ll find the city’s most authentic restaurants and shops. A highlight of the area is a traditional Egyptian souk that’s crammed with shops selling leather, copper, papyrus, spices, and shisha pipes. But, THE real local life is open fruit market, where local people shop, and prices are very low. There You can feel vibe of local life.
Where the world of hotels ends, the real journey begins – into the old Egypt, full of colors, scents, and everyday life. The difference between the shiny resorts and the old Egypt is huge – here, life flows slower, simpler, and more authentically.
A place full of life and chaos best visited after sunset. You can find everything here, from bracelets to live chickens and rabbits. If it’s your first time, I highly recommend having a local guide. We were lucky that our taxi (White Shark) took us to Kauland Center 2, where we met Mostafa (IG @mostafa_x9) - a young guy full of positive energy who showed us around the hidden corners of the bazaar and to the mosque, the Coptic Christian church, and through little alleys you’d never find on your own. I think without him we wouldn’t have been able to walk through the bazaar calmly on our first visit. He speaks good English, and his service is reasonably priced. Note: hotels “city tour” offers don’t include a visit to the bazaar, but if you take a taxi to see Mustafa, you’ll get to experience real local life.

Not good for tourists. Constantly hassled by people wanting to guide us for our own safety. Everyone wants to take us to their "other shop". Prices out up extremely high for tourists. Higher prices than sherington road. Avoid this area. Nothing of good quality to buy and a really bad experience
Interesting place to shop but the sellers are very busy and not friendly. When he sees a tourist in you, he tells you some random price that doesn't make you feel good at first. Bargaining is okay, but again, even after haggling, the price is high.
It's not a real bazaar, but a city district with shops. Everyone is aggressively trying to push you into their shop, they follow you, even pulling your clothes. You can find highly overpriced spices, perfumes, souvenirs... and negotiating the price is a must, because you are "robbed" if you pay the original, ad-hoc price of the goods - you can aggree even at a 90% discount... Dirt and the real poverty everywhere. Not the bazaar you are seeing in movies. Really just streets with high traffic.

Beautiful mosque.
Inside, it feels smaller than I expected. Because the square around it is so large, you automatically assume the mosque itself will also be huge. However, the interior looks beautiful and very well finished.

We stayed in an apartment at marina with nice views of it. Atmosphere is beautiful and quite in the morning while vibrant and lively after evening. Mainly a number of restaurants. Cash exchange machines were not working. Super store prices are higher than outside marina.

Orange Bay Island is a must-visit destination in Hurghada, offering a paradise beach experience with crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches. We recently had a private tour of Luxor as a family, and it was a fantastic experience. The reservation process was smooth and done via WhatsApp. The owner, Tamer, took care of all the arrangements for us.
He also informed us in advance that our hotel would prepare breakfast bags, which was very thoughtful and convenient.
On the day of the tour, we were picked up at 4:30 AM. We appreciated that there were two drivers, Samuel and Biro, who took turns every couple of hours to stay well-rested and alert during the long journey.
Around 9 AM, we met our guide Aiman, who took us through an incredible itinerary: Karnak Temple, a pleasant boat ride, the Colossi of Memnon, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Valley of the Kings. Along the way, we also stopped at a local shop that sells alabaster and other stone souvenirs. The demonstration of how alabaster is crafted was both informative and entertaining. Our son especially enjoyed it and still talks about the experience.
The weather was intensely hot—around 43°C—but we were consistently provided with cold water and other refreshing drinks, which was much appreciated.
After visiting Karnak Temple and enjoying the boat ride, we stopped for lunch at a local spot called Paris Restaurant. We sat on the third floor, which offered a beautiful view of the surrounding farmland, with fans and open windows keeping the air pleasantly cool. The meal was a highlight: fragrant rice, fresh pita bread, delicious spinach and potato dishes, and main courses of chicken, beef, and kofta—all served in charming, rustic pots and bowls that added to the local atmosphere. Everything was absolutely delicious.
The tour ended around 3:30 PM, and we arrived back in Hurghada around 7:30 PM. We were really glad we chose a private tour—it gave us plenty of space in the van and the flexibility to move at our own pace without waiting or rushing. We especially appreciated the friendly team: our drivers, our knowledgeable guide Aiman, our boat captain Alibaba, and the warm hospitality at the restaurant.

Good diving and friendly staff. Be aware that not everyone is there for the snorkeling — some people may just be along for the boat trip, drinking and smoking, which can change the atmosphere a bit if you’re mainly focused on the underwater experience.
That said, the trip itself is well-organized and fairly priced. The company is very transparent — no hidden fees, no upselling, and no scams. Everything you need is included: fins, snorkeling gear, lunch, fruit, and non-alcoholic drinks. Hotel pickup was smooth, which made things even easier.
Overall, a very pleasant experience and a solid choice for snorkeling and island hopping in Hurghada, especially if you value clear pricing and friendly service.
Great day out on the Red Sea - a good mix of beach time and time in the water. Tamer is very professional and even with our last minute booking made us feel as if this had been planned for a long time. Pick up and drop off was smooth, staff on the boat were kind, and Tamer greeted us on the boat with welcome gifts. Overall good value and would recommend.
Had a fantastic quad tour with Hurghada Lovers! All the staff were very friendly, explained everything well, made us feel entirely comfortable and safe. Everything run very smoothly from our pick up at the hotel to drop off again in the evening. The boat trip
Itself was good fun especially the banana boat and snorkelling stops which are included in the trip at no extra charge. With the snorkelling, the crew from the boat got in with us to make the most of the experience by taking groups to the best spots away from the boat. It didn’t matter if you were a novice or a good swimmer, everyone had a group guide to make sure we all had the best experience. We got off at Orange Bay island for a couple of hours which was busy but a beautiful place and experience. As far as excursions operators go in Hurgada, we will probably not use anyone else now except Hurgada Lovers. Prices are the best in Hurgada and the service 1st class. Thank you again Tamer and to all the boat crew.
Tamer arranged our booking to valley of the kings, everything was done perfectly, very professional and seamless from pickup to drop off! I would recommend asking for driver Michael, he is amazing! Very helpful, very knowledgeable and very caring. Michael is a credit to the company, I would definitely suggest asking for Michael if you want a brilliant time. Our trip on the Yellow Sea Scope Submarine from the New Marina was one of the most memorable experiences we had in Hurghada! A big thank you to Mr.Tamer, who organized everything perfectly and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
It was a wonderful trip! We went on a boat ride and swam near the island — everything was perfect. The owner of the travel agency is a very kind and polite man. We even received nice souvenirs as a surprise. We really enjoyed the day and will definitely come back again!

This island was absolutely stunning! I’ve never seen water as clear as the water here in my life! The bars are very pricey, we paid roughly £20 for a bowl of fruit 😳 The beach more than made up for it though! It’s a well-developed island and isn’t as run-down as the rest of Egypt which is nice!

Instagrammers paradise! Beautiful island with white sand and clear water. Water rarely goes above waist deep, so great for paddling and non swimmers. Slightly stony so do advise water shoes.
Have been weekday and weekend, and the place is always packed with people trying to get the perfect Instagram picture, as there are also picture points (water swings/giant chairs) and the queues are quite long. Beware rude people pushing in because they don’t want to wait their turn. Drinks and snacks very expensive. Massages, and henna tattoos also available.

We went to Orange Bay as a part of a snorkelling excursion with Sun International. It was one of the best trips we went on. This place is absolutely beautiful with lots of photo opportunities. We only spent about 2 hours on the island as it's a stop of place to eat and stretch your legs. If you get a chance I would highly recommend the visit. They serve alcahol on the island which was a pleasant surprise as most places outside the hotel don't serve alcahol

Hurghada International Airport was a surprisingly smooth experience. It’s easy to get to from most resorts, with well-signposted access and efficient drop-off points. While there were multiple layers of security and passport checks, it actually felt reassuring — safety clearly comes first here, and the process moved fairly quickly.
Inside, the airport is modern and clean with plenty of places to eat. Whether you want a quick snack or a full meal, there are lots of options at reasonable prices, especially compared to many other airports. I was also impressed by the number of small shops available for browsing while waiting for the flight.
Duty Free stood out for its prices, especially if you’re looking to buy cigarettes — they were noticeably cheaper than in many other airports. However, not everything was a bargain; for example, Toblerones were oddly expensive compared to other items.
Overall, Hurghada Airport was efficient, well-organised, and had enough amenities to make the wait comfortable. It’s not the biggest airport, but it gets the job done with a good balance of security, convenience, and services.

I had a great experience at this airport. Modern, clean. Yes, there is a huge amount of security and passport checks however it all went quickly and efficiently - no problems at all. The queue for buying a visa also went quickly. As you step outside the airport, the transfers from all the travel agencies are well organised and simple. We were never asked for tips by airport staff like in other airports I’ve been to. There’s plenty of food places and shops available, from duty free to souvenir to even phone and perfume shops. BE CAREFUL in the duty free shops because they don’t have prices and will give you an extortionate price - one keyring $7.50, water €4 !!! Lots of seating everywhere
The airport got better than 2017 from the frontal view.
But there were 5 passport checkpoints 3 are completely no need. And the security check point was completely not prepared.
Price in here is crazy like one kinder costs 270 EGP which is around 6 dollars.
This TUI agency put us in the airport nearly 2 hours earlier than necessary so we were kinda suffering from it
So, this place is nothing but a reaping off the tourists.

Small airport in Hughada, Egypt 🇪🇬 seemed easy enough to get through the security checks. My flight was on time and there was food and drinks available for purchase.
The sign for the domestic lounge is located BEFORE security to the right and if you go through security first not knowing where it is you will have to start all over because its near the entrance. Please put a better sign to make it easier to find 😎 🙏

The airport looks nice and modern, but the overall process is extremely inefficient. The check-in took the longest I’ve ever experienced, and the queuing system makes no sense because people who arrived first didn’t get to check in first due to the poor way they manage the line.
The security check is even worse. You have to go through the X-ray machine twice, and even if you pass, they still make you open your bag and take out every single item again. On top of that, they ask you to write down your personal details in a notebook like it’s 50 years ago, instead of using any modern technology.
The staff are also quite unfriendly and tend to yell at passengers, which makes the experience even more unpleasant. It was also very uncomfortable that a female security officer touched my chest and other parts of my body during the check, even though the scanning machine did not beep. I was only wearing a white T-shirt and leggings, and I don’t understand why this was necessary.
For such a nice building it's a shame the rest of the airport doesn't measure up.
- The security people are very rude.
- The bathrooms looked like they haven't been washed in weeks. There was a stall flooding inside the woman's bathroom, out to the main area.
- The flight was late but they don't tell you anything.

It is a disgusting airport not for infrastructure but for the people who run the ridiculous procedures.
You realize this as soon as you get there for the visa .
They lead you to the offices that charge 30 euros per visa instead the official price of 25 in the first office you should go. Imagine the additional cost for whole families.
You don't understand, because you think it is a passport control in front of counters but they are just visa sellers who stamp your passport just before police control.
When you finally get out,many taxi drivers wait to cheat you asking as more they can to transfer you to the city.
Even if you manage to do a good deal ,something about 200-300 Egyptian pounds which is the normal,they charge you afterwards 5 more euros for the police toll control !!!!

And the worst of all.....when they ask for a random backpack control, they put their hands inside, searching persistently,for money or anything valuable.
One policewoman stole from my little daughter's wallet, 100 euros and some pounds. We discovered after returning home and she remembered how much time this woman had her hands inside her bag. Searching for what ,in a 11 years child's bag ;;;;
It is a disgrase of how much disappointment and sorrow they caused.
Be always careful in the control of your personal bags,after scanner, when they put you to complete your details on a book,(name,passport number,nationality),just to distract you while they are searching to find something valuable. Keep always an eye on their hands and even better put your purse in your pocket.
Shame for the civil employees especially the police.

Abu Tig Marina in El Gouna is a charming and popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The marina offers stunning views of the sea, with boats of all sizes coming and going. The area is dotted with numerous shops, cafes, and diving centers, making it a paradise for tourists.
A wooonderful location and spot to visit, even to hang out over there. Many cafes and restaurants. One of the best marina’s in Middle East. You will find amazing yachts parked and you can rent one if you wish. I tried and rented a small boat (not a yacht) and took a tour in the lagoon which I enjoyed very much and there are great villas homes and apartments. The disadvantage is the high prices of real estate, but Elgouna is a must visit, and you’ll feel that you’re somehow outside Egypt.

What can I say, for Egypt, it’s expensive and luxurious. Everything is very beautiful, and the service is on a higher level than 90% of hotels in Egypt. As I understand it, the idea was to attract Europeans. It’s a good place for a quiet, upscale family vacation - perfect when you’re there with your family and don’t need anyone or anything else. The Asian and Italian Restaurants were excellent. Standard fare in the other 2 Restaurants but we could always find something to eat.
Bar service excellent with local brands
Toilets are dirty and the rooms are covered in sand on the floor. The lifeguards are very biased towards ethnicities, sometimes they won't let you go down the slides with their excuse being age rules. They also sometimes say you are not allowed to jump into the swimming pools and if you try to argue with them they victimise themselves and accuse you of insulting them. I don't recommend this hotel.
The staff are very attentive from the moment you arrive. Your luggage will be taken to the room for you so you don’t have to worry about this after travelling. If you arrive late, the food is still open for you to eat the entertainment isn’t on until late. Breakfast starts at 630am. Your la carte restruants can be booked as many times as you want. My favourite being the asian and italian. The housekeepers are excellent cleaning the rooms everyday.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are good, especially if you're there for more than one day. I can totally recommend the place.

I’ve visited quite a few wake parks in Germany, but none of them come close to the size and variety of Sliders. Whether you prefer riding clockwise or counterclockwise – here you can do both.
The many obstacles offer the right challenge for every skill level. And if something doesn’t go as planned, the team is always quick to find a solution. A special thanks to Mr. Aziz for the smooth and friendly support!
Of course, you can always find something to complain about if you really want to – but for my part, I’ve always been completely satisfied. On windless days, you’ll definitely find me riding at Sliders instead of kiting.

The Hurghada Marine Museum & Aquarium, located in the southern part of Hurghada, offers a captivating journey through Egypt's rich history and civilization. The museum showcases the work of Hamed Gohar and provides insight into Red Sea exploration. Meanwhile, the Grand Aquarium boasts over 1100 animals from more than 100 species, making it one of Africa's largest aquariums.
Mohamed the guide was really kind and took us around the museum explaining us interesting facts and things about marine life. The museum is composed in 3 different sections. We were alone and enjoyed the tour a lot. Thanks!

Located in Al Aheya - entrance opposite of the gasoline station Total. I believe it is opened from 9:00 am. We were at 10:00 am, it was quiet. If there are students groups, then it feels very crowded. You can just wait a little and enter the buildings when they leave :)

I had a tour into this historic museum and aquarium, which was the fore front of marine research in Egypt in the first half of the last century, proven by the state of the equipment and sea creatures displayed, for both live and mummified ;
one can also find terrestrial animals (mammals, birds and reptiles) from surrounding desert environment with full explanation of the whole preservation process for different animals and how it evolved from the time of pharaohs till present with their own contribution (hint :if you ever visit the grand Egyptian museum in Cairo, preserved animals section, you would understand, how come you can see a ten foot dinosaur era, amphibian such as Nile crocodile🐊 with the second strongest bite on earth, after its ancestors 🦖, on display carefully preserved after 3 thousand years), I'm grateful to have visited this historic place and I'd do it again, I feel satisfied to know all of these facts and findings about sea life

There are so many shops, restaurants, and resorts which is so great, but the only problem is that there are no many places to just sit or hang out.
Pedestrian walkway with lots of shops. Looks nice with palm trees and a nice walkway. But it is absolutely dreadful to walk down, be prepared to get constantly harassed by shop keepers, children begging for money and creepy men. Lasted 10 minutes and went back to my hotel. Probably one of the worst experiences I had in Egypt.

I styed in this resort in March/April 2023. I booked family pictures with the photo team within the resort. I used credit card to pay for them but I was told by the resort my card was declined. I left without buying the pictures but after I returned home I found out my card was indeed charged $275 American dollars. I reached out to the resort to voice my concern. They responded asking how they can help. After I explained my situation and showed them proof of the charge they completely ignored me and stopped responding to me. I am absolutely disappointed with their lack of willingness to assist me; upset for being ignored and l livid for the money that was stolen from me. That is not how you do customer service with people who chose your resort. During our stay there many hotel staff have been approaching us and our teenage kids demanding we complete online review with them. My children were told by staff to rate them with 5 stars. If you have to tell your hotel guests what star rating to provide it should be a sign its not a good report.
There are other resorts to choose form - please choose wisely and stay away from this one as you may be robbed.

I like to have things controlled and like to do online bookings. Everywhere and everyone else had no problem with it in Egypt.
These guys made me pay again for the ticket because they didn't find the booking.
You would think in 2022 they are a bit further with that stuff instead of doing everything by a travel agent which takes ages sometimes to get something you want.
In their hotel they also try to sell a lot of services which I didn't have at all in my hotel and it can be quite annoying.

Just a couple of small suggestions: we waited a bit longer (around 45 minutes) on the boat before departure, especially being among the first to arrive, and it would have been nice to relax a bit more on the island after lunch before heading back. But these were very minor compared to how amazing everything else was! Highly recommend visiting Mahmya if you’re in the area.
Fab day trip, very windy and the fact that there is permanent shelters stop you from getting the sun at most of the beds. Snorkeling was amazing. Both were below average. The food didn’t match the ambiance. Glad to have checked this place off my list, but I wouldn't return.

The option for 1 +1 free cocktail for a group of 16 girls is always a yes. Sadly cosmopolitan was more of a cough syrup with many ice cubes. But the rest of the drinks were amazing, sauteed vegetables and french fries vanished the time it was brought to the table

It’s easy to find Maritim Restaurant in Abu Tig Marina. It’s one of the few restaurants that sit along the edge, with scenic views of the marina, usually good service, and a very delicious menu. It is one of our favorite places to eat when we’re visiting Gouna. We are repeat diners.
The staff is usually knowledgeable and attentive. But sometimes, the service can be slow and leaves you sitting. Service attention does vary, so that is a negative for this place.
The fresh ingredients is what brings us back. From our many visits, here’s what we tried and enjoyed: the salads are delicious, the Classic Tuna Avocado Tartare, Maritim Sea Food Salad, and the Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare. The mixed seafood grill is pricy, but delicious. We haven’t tried the Poke bowls yet, but they look very good.
The only dessert we’ve tried is the Chocolate Fondant, and the chocolate is really good. It’s a nice dessert to share.
Every dish is beautifully plated. (and the plates are beautiful too) The portion sizes are generous for the price.

While Maritim is on the higher end of the price spectrum, the quality of the food and atmosphere makes it worth every penny. It’s definitely a “treat yourself” dining experience in el Gouna.

The club is nice, just as other comments had mentioned. The only problem is that, like many other tourist places in Egypt, there seems to be a culture of taking advantage of visitors. What do I mean by that?
I was charged 35 euros for a cocktail — not even in Ibiza have I paid that much. The justification? “You asked for an international drink” (Tequila Sierra, which costs about 20 euros a bottle in any shop). But once I tasted it, there was no tequila in it at all. I repeat — no tequila whatsoever. They insisted they had put tequila in the drink, but come on… I’ve been drinking tequila since I was 19, I’m 32 now — I know what tequila tastes like. Just admit you used fruit juice instead.
I got really upset and left the drink on the bar counter. It’s not about the money — it’s about the fact that people try to take shameful advantage of you. I really dislike this culture, and I think Egypt is hurting its tourism because of it.

Amazing food, decor, and service. My boyfriend has a fish allergy, but he loves non fish sushi. Miky, our waiter, was exceptional he offered to make chicken sushi rolls, especially for us. The swimming pools are pristine, and the beach is incredibly clean with crystal-clear water — absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. The food is just amazing: delicious, abundant, and full of variety to suit every taste.
I do want to share one small experience, not to affect my overall impression, but perhaps to help improve clarity for future guests. One evening during dinner at the main restaurant, I was told by an attendant that my shorts were too short for the dress code. While they politely let me in that time, the experience felt a bit awkward and unexpected — especially since many other guests were also wearing shorts, and the signage indicating the dress code wasn’t clearly visible (partially hidden behind a table at the entrance).
It would be great if the resort could make the dress code more visible and consistent for all guests to avoid any confusion or discomfort.
That said, this was a minor issue in an otherwise perfect stay. I would absolutely return and recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality service, comfort, and an unforgettable vacation.

We went in March and only now I feel like I can talk about our experience. Rooms are nice and the staff are friendly however both me and my partner got severe food poisoning
The onsite doctor took £1500 from us only to get home, (a day late as I couldn't fly being so ill) for the NHS to say that the medication I got given was completely wrong. And when we told the hotel how Ill I was and asked to stay in our room untill later when our flight departed they tried to charge us a large amount of money. So I had to spend the day extremely ill passing out by the pool/reception area.
We had friends their who did have a great time so it might of just have been us. But for us it was a holiday from hell.

The Red Sea Aquarium is a captivating attraction located inside a wonderful mall in Hurghada. It's one of the best entertainment destinations for families, offering an opportunity to discover marine life treasures. Visitors can observe various species of sharks and a wide selection of fish from different oceans and seas. While the aquarium is relatively small, it offers a beautiful experience for those interested in sea life.
We loved that small aquarium, if you are close by, it is worth visiting. Next to it there is a cafe/restaurant with a nice playground. Entrance fee is also acceptable. You can pay by card.

I was extremely disappointed with the place, it’s very expensive as we had to pay $33 per person even the ten years old boy, for nothing. I mean almost nothing. We didn’t see but few normal animals and few tanks of poor fish exhibit.
The only somehow good show area for the fish tank was closed for their own photography business and don’t allow us to get close or take pictures in our own mobiles.
The only good area was the turtle house. Doesn’t worth the trip or the money paid. It should be much more advanced specially with the extreme high ticket price. And being in the Red Sea reserved area. You should show that beauty, I think you need to work more in developing that area and reduce the ticket price.
Fabulous Aquarium also super coffee shop you must try a French latte and some chocolate cake ! You won't be disappointed
The entrance fee for the aquarium is 30 le please pay the extra 2 euros to take photos and videos you will get some amazing shots :) If you are visiting from Europe or America please make sure you tip well throughout your holiday when you give you receive back 20 fold xxxx

The Red Sea aquarium is located in the basement of the building. Unfortunately nothing exceptional, just a stringing together of aquariums. Some aquariums were even empty or dead fishes visible, nibbled off by other fishes. But having said this, there are still several interesting Red Sea fishes to see.

Show was good but waiting time for swim is ridiculous. We were reassured ahead that will be able to swim straight after show but this was no where near. Had to wait for hours. They put swimming suit on my 3 years old and she had to wait over 1 hour in 30C. No consideration to let small children to go first.
This is a once in a lifetime experience. I absolutely loved it. We watched the show, it was very nice, then we waited for the swim. I took the all-in-one package, which costs 300 USD for five people, it includes picking me up from the hotel, and swimming with the dolphins with photo and video session all included.
We waited for a long time, it was hot, but the staff were kind and did their best. The dolphins were tired and they let them rest, they did not push them, this was the reason for the wait.
We waited almost 4 hours, but once we got into the pool with the dolphins, we forgot all the wait. It is a really enjoyable experience.
Was a great show with dolphins, sea lions and a walrus. The show lasts an hour and 10 minutes and it's fairly priced at £15. If you pay extra you can swim and get photos with the dolphins.
Aa a romanian tourist, in colaboration with Christian Tour, I can say that the experience was a good one, why not great and also why is not a 5 star rating, but only 4? Is because the only thing that I dislike abt the whole experience, is the lady that was the main commentator of the show. She used ,,ladies and gentleman,, literally every sentence and I fimd that pretty annoying, also the sound system was really bad, as I didnt understand much of what she was saying, other than ,,ladies and gentleman,,.
Besides that, the show was awesome, not a short one, it was quite long and not boring at all, featuring well trained dolphins and professionals in terms of entertainment.

The Oberoi Beach Resort, Sahl Hasheesh is a luxurious and expansive resort located along the pristine Red Sea shore, just 30 minutes from Hurghada airport. The spacious suites are adorned with traditional Arab and Egyptian decor, offering a grand feel. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, spa, private beach, and dining options on-site.
Since this is a 5-Star Deluxe, Hotel. What more can you not expect other than a fantastic beach view (if your suite is a located there) and a suite with a private pool which means you can swim day and night literally no struggle. Literally so brilliant an hotel that is. And for it to be 20+ years and still maintaining itself and holding pretty well is just another level. Again 5-Star deluxe!!
The actual pool is also pretty brilliant too and you can still memorize yourself with the sea view while you're even at the pool!! It's also quiet exceptional in size. Its depth isn't too deep but the pool is reasonably big too!!
The suites are also very reasonable in size as they're very spacious while my suite only had 1 bed which definitely isn't a bad thing as you can get an extra bed of course.. it was still everything i thought it would be and even better.. you got your own private pool!! But you're gonna have to pay for it😅
The only downside is the sea not really capable for guests to swim on shore. They need experts to help give them a hand and the shore is rather rocky rather than sandy on your way to hit the sea.. but that's just about it!
Onto the restaurant.. there are certain events like today was Indian food day. No comment can describe how good this was. My taste buds were having the quality of their lifetime!! The toilet seat didn't however. Oh well ..😂
Anyhow.. if you want to have a premium experience in Hurghada. Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh is definitely the way to go. You won't feel like you wasted a dime or because all what you paid for is literally what you get and even more!!

An absolutely wonderful stay! The Oberoi is the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. The staff were incredibly kind, the private beach was calm and great for snorkeling, and our spacious room with a private terrace was ideal. Rooms are great and different than any place that I've been to. The food at the restaurant is quite average and variety is not big enough. Pool is nice, but the sea was very challenging because the beach is not sandy, you have to go to the marina if you wish to take a dip in the sea.
The room is ultra clean and decorates are organised to help you relax, the beach is long enough to provide every guest privacy meanwhile the staff are available at your reach every where and they are so kind, polite and friendly.
Its really the best choice for relaxation.

This place is absolutely wonderful. Low number of rooms resulting in a lot of privacy and never feeling of a "crowded" place. Excellent service in any way, there is nothing you could wish for that will not be fulfilled. Food is first class and the house reef + boat dive options invite to enjoy the red sea in all ways.

We chose the Oberoi for our honeymoon. It was a wonderful experience. Everything was wonderful. All the staff were very attentive, but Mr. Sayed was a different story. He truly took great care of us. He solved every problem we had. He solved our internet issue and provided information about tours. He even had medicine brought to me from the pharmacy when I mentioned I had a slight cold. He's such a kind-hearted person that I'd definitely want to be friends with him.

No museum just a overpriced papyrus shop!
I found on the internet that this is a museum but it is not, is just a gallery shop with papyrus. Unfortunately I didn't had any peace we were constantly pushed to buy, I just wanted to have a look in peace at the beautiful papyrus paintings because I was already there and paid an Uber ride.
Very cool collection of pictures and also we liked the personalized gifts such as bookmarks and star signs with names. Prices are also good.

Perfectly nice gallery/souvenir shop of a large collection papyrus painting for sale, well worth a look around. Be prepared to have a guide/shop assistant following you around like a nasty smell, in the typically Egyptian way, as if you're a suspected shop lifter. Probably best to visit as part of an organised tour. That way they'll be too spread out to sit on your shoulder, the whole time. Still recommend it though
Nice museum, enjoyed the short story about the history. We bought 3 papyrus "at offer", but we found out later on 5 times cheaper ones in the Government shop - with authenticity certificate and everything, so I don't recommend buying from here unless they calibrate their prices (e.g. Small papyrus at 14 euro can be found at ~4 euro in the shop)

Every year is worse than last time! Before Saturday’s been good, many guest from Steigenberger and other hotels, nice people with at least some appearance of “face control”! Now, it’s 90% locals, mostly animation teams (5 of them and 1 normal guest) and their friends! Basically that’s an Egyptian party! If you try to approach that 10% of tourist, to have a chat, immediately you are surrounded with aggressive locals saying you can’t speak with them! What a clown show…
What a great idea to install a disco below hotel rooms. It's poisonous for those staying at the hotel with their families. The rooms above shake until 3 a.m.
One of the best clubs in town. We went there almost every night for two weeks and we never had to pay for anything. They have a nice terrace outside where you can meet the whole city. The DJs were always a bit depressive and they played random music. Whenever they host a big barty, just keep in mind that you won’t be able to breath inside of the club.
Don’t believe anything these people said . Very small place, no dance floor music speaker is horrible., Everything is overpriced, Not clean, Too many rude Disrespectful guys . It’s very a cheap place
This place has a pool section night club and
shisha bar.. and they also play football matches. the shisha wasnt very good and the dj on thursday night was questionable however it is something to do.. if you want to leave the hotel and go out..
These people stealing my money. Asking €73 for 5 drinks it's crazy. And you will find out next day they charge you so much. The club itself is nice but they always try to scam you. It gives me a really bad experience. They are misusing tourist and prices. I've never been in such an expensive bar like this and you don't even get the real alcohol brand.. Don't go to this club!

..even though you pay the entrance fee get a local long drink for that, it's not allowed to sit down anywhere if you don't have reservations for a table doesn't matter if the table are reservated or not. And also the locals who are there are not friendly at all towards other guys. I left after one hour cause I asked a woman if there are other places to dance and an Egyptian guy wanted to fight me because of that.

The beautiful public beach in Hurghada city is perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. The views from the beach are stunning and there is plenty of good swimming and diving to be had. The bar at the end of the promenade is great place to enjoy fresh food and drinks, while the staff are all very friendly.
We were here in January 2025. It's a beach for the locals. Very calm out of season. Nice sea views. Entrance fee, food and drinks inside are very affordable, a little fruit drink was only 12.5 EGP. Downstairs a cola is 25 EGP.
The place is clean, staff is friendly and kind, water shallow and clean. Many games for children.

Beautiful Beach, But Not the Most Tourist-Friendly especially for non Muslim women
We visited this public beach for the first time, curious to explore and get a feel for the local experience. The price was 100 Egyptian pounds each totaling to 200 pounds. The scenery was beautiful however no tourists in sight. The staff were kind and welcoming, which we really appreciated. However, I did experience a number of uncomfortable stares throughout our visit. I wore a two-piece swimsuit with a full cover-up, but it still drew quite a bit of unwanted attention. It became clear why this beach isn’t frequented by tourists, especially women or Americans. While I understand cultural differences, the experience left me feeling more scrutinized than relaxed. It was a learning moment for me, and although the beach itself was fine, I wouldn’t recommend it to fellow tourists looking for a comfortable or inclusive atmosphere.
Today I paid 50 Egp for entrance. Just like the name "family resort" there are many playgrounds for kids. It was relatively clean and not busy - it's mid October which is almost winter for locals. Cafe near the end of walk away area was closed for the season and there are still few coffee shops and stores near the entrance. There are showers and toilets. When I walked near the shower and toilet facility, the lady who was sitting in front pointed me to another washroom in opposite building. I guess it's more clean and I probably had to pay for it. I didn't proceed. Water is clear and very shallow to the end. There are fish everywhere.
Paid 100 Egyptian. Half the infrastructure was still being built. There are toilets and food, chairs and loungers, available.. but felt a bit neglected
I popped in to check this place out two days ago. It is exactly what it claims to be. Perfect spot for families 50EGP for non Egyptians.

Good place for 50pounds. Usually full of locals. But the water is clean and u may swim.
As others have said, it's E£50 each to access, which is reasonable. As westerners, we were welcome and ensured we were covered up, even when swimming. Sadly, the day spoilt by the attempt to charge us E£800 for two small manjo juices, two very small cups of black tea and can of Sprite. The service was good but the lads tried to rip us off. We gave them E£300, and that was generous as our hotel said we should have paid no more than E£200.
I think it’s called Family Beach now and it costs 50 Egyptian Pounds per person
