EGYPT NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND: Hygiene is not luxury. It is IMPORTANT! Egyptian food business needs to understand and CHANGE THE MENTALITY NOW! Me and my family got food poisoning after eating at Moby Dicks. It is really a shame for a country to continue keeping this bad reputation about food poisoning everywhere. But the problem lies with the mentality where hygiene is not taken seriously. Where the business only aims profit but discourage and doesn't enforce simple hygiene habits. IT IS A SHAME! When will you guys understand that food can kill? When will you understand that bad hygiene can kill? Having severe diarrhea, vomit, fever after eating IS NOT NORMAL! It means that something really BAD is going on in your kitchens, with your staff and with you hygiene! Just have a think for God sake! Putting people in risk is not a good thing. It doesn't cost anything to improve and have a minimum basic hygiene in your restaurant. Enforce it! Wash your hands! Wash you kitchen! Wash your utensils. Use gloves... If the food seems off don't sell it! You can do it! You can be different of the rest of Egypt. I'm really upset that a so good looking and expensive restaurant suffers from the same disease as other places in Egypt: AWFUL HYGIENE! Why? I cannot understand! Owner: The change is in your hands! HYGIENE! Not recommended due to the danger it's food carries.

Very good camel steak, perfectly done as requested, medium rare was actually medium rare, and the meat was great. Red wine was kinda expensive, actually almost amounted for the two camel steaks together, but we were okay with that since altogether was still pretty good quality for money

First time trying camel steak was absolutely delicious, the flavour was amazing. The staff were very kind and was offered a complimentary ice cream. Would definately return.

We went as three families, a total of 8 people. Since the children weren’t hungry, we only wanted to order for 5 people. However, we were shocked when we saw the price list because the prices were kinda expensive. So, we decided to try the cheapest item on the menu, a falafel dish for 22 Egyptian Pounds. After a while, the waiter seemed upset because we chose the cheapest option and told us that if we ordered it, they would charge a 15% tax and a 15% service fee for everyone. We were furious that they wanted to charge tax even for those who didn’t eat and decided to leave. The waiter mocked us as we left. Because of this, we couldn’t eat anything at all.

I was end of last year at Gad an loved the food. But now in may when I visited again the food was not good after multiple visits. The food took so long to come even when the restaurant was almost empty.. and even if you request for something they don’t do it. We are very unhappy.. This is what got delivered…

As already mentioned in other comments, the service is … bad. Not bringing ordered drink but another, not accepting the cards (and not mentioning it), and changing rate 20% more than ATM. Forcing a tipping even though service fees are already in the bill. If you not following “that rule “ almost insulting in Arabic … pity for such a restaurant and hoping the owner reads the comments.

🇬🇧English review🇬🇧 We stopped here for some food on a recommendation from our taxi driver. The food was excellent, we had pizza and burgers, nothing too fancy as just fancied as it was a quick lunch. It was very fresh, nicely presented and good sized portions for a very reasonable price on the menu. There is a service charge included in the bill. A word of warning please be observant when settling the bill make sure you have cash and have a currency converter to hand if paying on other currencies. The bill was reasonably priced at 1435EGP, they only take cash and as we didn’t have enough EGP we asked for the price to converted to GBP. They tried to overcharge us by £14GBP stating the price was £36 whereas the conversion was nearer £23 at the time. Other than this small issue the restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Typical Egyptian restaurant. The food is severely overpriced for what you get. The only thing they don't charge you extra for is ketchup. Not only was the food overpriced but with exception of the grilled meat which was good. Everything else was mediocre or worse. Cold french fries, stale bread. A disaster.

They were not only inattentive but also used inappropriate language, which made the experience uncomfortable. We tried falafel, fries ketchup/mayonnaise and eskandarany foul they were nice but the foul lammon maa'sfar was just prices of picked lemons in the sandwich, tasted very citric it's supposed to be blended within the beans. And it's a bit over priced for a falafel restaurant

Amazing restaurant — you can go with your eyes closed! The food is delicious, with authentic Egyptian dishes made with love. The presentation of the plates is really well done. The signature cocktails are excellent, and the staff is incredibly attentive, always checking to make sure everything is going well. I highly recommend this place. Well done!

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered the tuna steak, which arrived overcooked, rubbery, and served in pieces—nothing like the seared, pink-centered tuna steaks commonly served elsewhere. Service was also lacking. I waited 50 minutes for my food, the drink I ordered never arrived with the food, and the soup I requested only came together with the main course. By then, my appetite was gone. While the staff did offer to bring me something else, I didn’t have the time to wait again. I returned most of the dish, and although I received a 10% discount on the bill, it didn’t really make up for the overall experience. Sadly, I can’t recommend this place based on my visit.

We loved it here! Since we wanted to have something authentic and always seek Middle Eastern cuisine, we were on a misson to find a nice falafel spot. And we were not disappointed. The meal was delicious, the cocktails were amazing, the prices were favourable and our waiter was very sweet and minded. The place is also quite magical. Definitely try their falafel - it tastes and looks a bit different than the ones we're used to, but still delicious.

I ate camel meat assorti. Food was good, beer was good. But the best part of my lunch was the service. The waiter Achmed literally made my day. He is the best waiter I've ever met.

We had the most incredible meal at Nubian Sky. We opted for a meal that is new to the menu- tagine with slow cooked lamb shank in a garlic & tomato sauce with Egyptian bread. This was easily the best food we had during our stay in Egypt! The kids had a cheese burger each which was fresh and tasty. We also had 4 cocktails, a milkshake & 3 cans of Lipton- all this came to £57 (gbp) which was an absolute bargain! We were also kindly given a pot of Egyptian tea and the children were given complimentary mango ice cream which they throughly enjoyed. This place is a must if you are wanting to try authentic Egyptian cuisine.

The seafood tastes normal, nothing special, fish is better other restaurants. The atmosphere is super cool and the staff are all nice people, you can choose the table next to aquarium.

This place is located near a cluster of rather underwhelming resorts. While some nearby resorts can be quite unfriendly, this restaurant truly stands out. The boneless seafood soup is highly recommended—absolutely delicious. The seafood here is incredibly fresh, and the mango juice is rich and flavorful. If you’re traveling independently, I strongly suggest stopping by for lunch at this restaurant after checking out of your hotel, before heading to your next destination. It’s well worth it!

We went to Granada to have a quiet drink and enjoy the space. When we got the bill we found that for four drinks (3 soft, 1 alcohol) it was 2000 EGP. We were then told that there was a minimum charge of 500 per person. I have never come across this in Egypt before. It meant that my sprite was almost €8 which is absolutely ridiculous. At night there’s absolutely no view or atmosphere. There is no accessible entrance and the baby changing facilities they say they have are actually a table outside the toilets in the corridor. Overpriced food and drink on the menu, average service and quality.

After 5 years of visiting Gouna, I finally got to try Zia Amelia. It’s always been packed every time I passed by, and I usually forgot to reserve. But this time, I got lucky and found a table. The atmosphere is lovely — warm, vibrant, and the staff are truly excellent. It feels like a lively little corner of Italy, and the energy of the place is what makes it special. As for the food, I had high expectations — especially with all the hype around their homemade pasta. The dishes were good, but not exceptional. I enjoyed the mushroom pasta, but the Linguine di Mare didn’t hit the mark for me. The Caprese salad was just okay, and the pizza was decent but not unforgettable. Overall, it’s a nice spot with a beautiful vibe and great service — but the food didn’t fully live up to the reputation for me.

The food was good but not exceptional kinda underwhelming and overrated. I expected more but It was still okay. Food arrived in no time and that was great. Packaging of the take away was leaking.

The food is really great, delicious, fresh, very well cooked Molokhia with 🍤 shrimps is very tasty, all the dishes are really good. Be careful with the vegetables, if you are a tourist, avoid the salads as they are washed with unfiltered water and you might get sick. The same for the lemonade, is very tasty, but you might get sick. The restaurant is nice inside, spacious, tables are big and they can accommodate many people. The restaurant has a little aquarium inside and fresh fishes also from where to choose what you want them to cook for you. Sometimes in the pick hours you gave to wait some time to get a table.

We ordered starfish meal 395 EGP each, the portion is big actually, making us very full, even though with only 4 shrimps in total, and we cannot finish the meal. But honestly the flavor is very normal, cannot compare to the shrimp in family seafood at all! Even though here is more famous and the ambience looks more high class, with a lot of living fish in the tank. They provide different fresh fish from the sea, and more diverse dishes, with affordable prices.

Last night in Egypt and we wanted an authentic Seafood dinner, and that is what we got. Many locals here and everything was tasty and since I am waiting for the check, I'm not sure of the price but they seem very reasonable (I ordered market price items so the actual price is not known yet). Also the fresh mango juice was just that - just juiced mangos.

The seafood soups here are to die for! Very good serving with lots of seafood in it for very good price! If you like a bit spicy can try also the Thai seafood soup! Both are amazing with some lemon added! Highly recommend this place if you close to the fish market! Right opposite is the location!

We visited this restaurant twice during our trip to Hurghada. It’s located right across the entrance to the Hurghada Fish Market so the fish should be as fresh as it can get. I had grilled prawns the first time. The sauce they put on it wasn’t my thing but ok. I forgot to specify that I wanted a butter sauce. My friend’s VIP meal was excellent. Second time, I wanted a grilled fish filet but it came pan fried instead. Was a bit dry. I put it down to language miscommunication. My friend’s fish soup was excellent. You have to use your fingers to eat the shellfish and crab though. When you arrive, you are brought water and later, served warm bread. These appear on your bill whether you touch it or not, so decline it if you know you’re not going to eat it. It’s really only a tiny amount though. I would return again as I liked the atmosphere and the place was clean. Food was substantial.

The food is really good, that is why people come here, to eat delicious traditional food cooked very good. However, the old charm of the restaurant disappeared, it used to be smaller, with photos of the owner lady with different people, displaying different original objects on the walls, very cozy, traditional, personal, a place with a heart. Now since it got modernized, on two floors, with a space dedicated for the grill area (before that they were grilling in the street and no one seemed to mind that), it lost its old authentic, traditional vibe. It became commercial, without an identity, walls are empty, nothing from the old traditiobal spirit anymore. I was sad to discover this. And is so loud inside at the peak hours, it is crowded and you feel like you eat in a train station. Plus, you have to wait a lot to get a table if you reach in the peak hours, and there is no space dedicated for those who wait, you have to wait outside, in the street, even 30 minutes. Overall, the food is good, and if you go there earlier, it shouldn't be that crowded or that noisy. I recommend the food there 100% but I don't recommend the place itselfto eat in, takeaway is much better.

Believe the hype! This place has good food. Try the rice fattah it was a nice surprise and tasty. Also the grilled chicken is great and the korma was the best we had in Egypt. We had been so disappointed by several restaurants with very high reviews we were quite worried this would be another disappointment. But the place was packed and by mostly what looked like locals so our interest peaked and we waited for a table. Turned out it was worth the wait. Eat here instead of the tourist trap and expensive places in the marina (place we ate there was tripple the cost and the food was only passable and that with 2000+ reviews of 5 stars) I fully recommend this place /DaC

The most bad food i ordered in Hurghada. I have recived the grilled chicken was extrmly dry, as u see in the photo. The kofta looks mazing but when u start to eat is like a gummy. I have heared a very good feedback bout this restaurant but after i received this order i am sorry it sounds like it is big lie or maybe i just had bad luck.

I would Recommend this place! All 7 of my fends and family loved their pizza and burgers. I am a vegetarian so I especially loved that they had veggie burgers too. Of all the week in hurghada this was one of the best because the food. The fries and house sauce were the best part. I only gave a 4 for food because the buns were dry, i think it’s just the brand they use… also the service could have been better. The server was not friendly or mean but he hardly spoke to us (maybe he didn’t speak great English?) and it took away from the overall experience. I would still recommend this place but not the service. It was still great and better than so many other places

My friend recommended me that place and this was 100% good hit :) Burger was very delicious with good quality meat so don't make my mistake and order double meat, you will be thankfull me 😋 Wedges potato's was outside crispy and soft inside. Good idea because everywhere you get normal french fries amd this is something different. You can save extra calories for delicious sweet waffles with mix white chocolate and Nutella of course with ice cream and oreo. But look out because we ate one portion with my wife and it was enought for us but if you want more you can always order double waffle (looks like burger) but inside...sweet heaven 😀 I totally recommend this place. Next time I will try a pizza because I saw it and it is different like in other places...

Sept 2023: stopped by on a whim. This used to be the place of one of my regular cafes. Now it's mazaj. They did a great job to make it a fine dining experience. They serve koshary -an Egyptian street food- and other home cooking specialities like tajin. I ordered koshary. It was tasty, and flavorful. Served with tier 1 utensils and service. I hope they are successful. Decorations are super fine. Bathrooms are very well designed and maintained. They have the word cafe in their name so I'm looking forward to trying their drinks too next time.

It’s a mix of rice, macaroni and spaghetti pasta, topped with chickpeas, lentils, crispy onions and a generous portion of tomato sauce. I highly recommend ordering a side of spicy pickled tomatoes for an extra ~8EGP- works great with the dish. A very easy vegetarian option in Egypt, we loved it!

We don't know if we want dessert before we've had chance to sit down enjoy the first course. We tried the desserts the chocolate cake was over microwaved until it was bone dry and like a biscuit couldn't break it with a spoon. All in all the main course and starters are very tasty and very good priced. The new manager is going to put people off coming with his pushy overbearing ways.

The rooftop terrace at the serry beach was perfect to go eat and and chill at night. They offer arabic style food which i felt was not the best. Big chunks of meat grilled, but dry and no sauces. The drinks and dessert on the other hand were perfect. Shisha was also really good. Tried a few different flavours and all smoked really well. The service and staff is top notch. Credit to them. Everynight they have different live bands and shows to keep you entertained.

The diner is very clean and has a nice variety. The cheeseburgers we ordered came with softdrinks, french fries and even black gloves. Had the chilli cheese fries and oreo cheesecake milkshake aside. The fries were thin and crunchy, the milkshakes were perfectly sweet and not too thick. We even got free Saint Sebastian Cheesecake on the house *literal happy food coma* and the service was very kind and polite. Smoking is outside only but in my opinion it's great.
