This place is absolutely worth the wait. The line is long, but the experience is amazing. I really enjoyed the depth and intensity of the flavors—truly something special. One of the most memorable parts was when they asked us to share our dreams. It created such a unique and inspiring atmosphere, connecting us with others as dreamers. It was a remarkable experience, and I’d be excited to come back.

Love hunting for Ramen and today came to this place. Staff were friendly and helpful. The ramen size was quite big with much spring sprout and thick pork slices. For me, 2 slices ramen was more than enough. Pork slice quality required closer monitoring. It'd meant to be tendered. unfortunately, i had 1 piece very tendered and 1 very 'fresh + rough. The soup was rich and yet, it was a bit oily and salty for me. I enjoyed the game part, which was related to the shop name- DREAMS. Highly recommend customer to join the game - to speak out 10 dreams in 30s and get a chance to spin. Also, be prepared to queue for at least 20min before enter.

My favorite ramen spot in boston. I feel like a better person every time i leave. As an introvert, i was really nervous at first since its small and they encourage you to say your dream to everyone at the end of your meal. After a few visits though it definitely gets easier and makes the experience more enjoyable. I bring people here all the time cause the ramen/service is consistently wonderful. The owner has truly mastered this dish. I promise you it is worth the wait outside!!!

Fun, unique food experience for a very reasonable price. Service is fantastic and overall I enjoyed it and would recommend a visit. However, I found their broth unbearably salty. I had the vegan ramen and while it was generously served and topped with tasty things, I really struggled with the saltiness. My companion had the non vegan one and apparently that was even worse.

This is an interesting Japanese udon restaurant where they offer only two options of udon noodle soup, a bowl with 2 pork slices or 5 slices. You can ask for more cabbage or their "delicious garlic" which is raw. The broth is the real standout in my opinion. It has a deeply rich but clean flavor of pork. The noodles are hand made and have a good chewy texture. The pork slices have a great flavor and not bland like most other ramen places. I was full after eating the 2 slices version but most other diners had the 5 slices when I ate there. You are encouraged to share your "dream" once you have finished eating. There's no option to add an egg, as with other typical ramen places. The price is fairly high for 2 slices of pork and noodles. Seating isn't that comfortable. Still, I find this a very pleasant experience while having a great bowl of noodles.

First time we’ve been back since 2015. The place is still the same, one dish on the menu - ramen with your choice of two or five slices of pork or vegetarian. I chugged through the salty broth and got a perfect score this time. Be prepared to drink lots of water afterwards otherwise you’ll be smelling like garlic and thirsty for a day. This week they also had ube cheesecake to go, we got a slice and it was good.

It was quite the experience. I saw a long line as I walked by so I got in, because most places with lines are worth the wait, and I was right. I ordered a spicy bowl with 2 slices of pork. Each bite had a wonderful combination of crunch (from the bean sprout and cabbage), chew (noodles), tender protein (pork), and flavor (broth). The spicy broth definitely has more kick than your normal spice level. I can handle spice and it was challenging, but doable. Overall a must try!

Great place. They don’t do take out ok weekends. Make sure you come and be in the line using their website booking line. Was very frustrating to wait 10min to discover that you’d have to wait 50min to get seated. Be sure to be on the front desk guys neck so you get your seat, he works super hard but is difficult to keep track of the line order due to nature of the business. After seating in comfortably with 4 people + 1 baby, the experience was super great! It came super fast and the food was delicious! I had a soy ramen and my wife had the tan tan ramen. Very good ones btw!

I really enjoyed the fried sides and ramen here. There may be a wait and seating is limited, but the little restaurant is inside a shopping arcade, which isn’t too bad a place to wait. They take your order first so by the time your seat is ready, the food comes out relatively quickly. It’s a pretty efficient process. Both the kara-age and fried octopus were freshly fried. The original style of kara-age was plenty crispy and the chicken inside was hot and juicy. It was delicious dipped in the garlic ponzu sauce. The fried octopus with chili peppers was crispy and chewy with a pleasant spiciness that lingers on the tongue. As for the ramen, they use the curly chewy noodles I really like. The broth for the Shoyu 1910 had a fragrant soy sauce flavor that wasn’t too overpowering. The pork belly chashu was so tender it practically dissolved when eaten. The Karai Shoyu was satisfyingly spicy, but the broth was a bit too greasy to drink. It’s been ages since I’ve visited Japan, but I imagine this is the kind of ramen they would serve there. For that extra authentic feeling, the servers here thank you loudly in Japanese when you’re leaving.

We had dinner here a while ago and really enjoyed it, so when we found ourselves nearby last Sunday, we decided to stop by again—and we’re glad we did. Ganko Ittetsu Ramen is conveniently located inside an indoor shopping arcade, which makes it a comfortable spot, especially if you’re dining with a dog. The ramen was just as delicious as we remembered—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. A nice bonus: the owner has opened another restaurant right across the hall, and you can order from either menu no matter which one you’re seated at. Great food and a relaxed atmosphere—definitely worth a visit.

Ganko is a neighborhood gem! It's great to have a local place that can actually serve good ramen. We've tried most of their ramen options and they are all fairly good. Broths have good flavor. Their ramen noodles is decent but lacks the chewiness that we prefer. However, still an overall good bowl of ramen. Their gyoza is solid. The place is small and can feel a bit cramped but then is very much like the ramen places in Japan. It's actually nice to get that feel. Service is friendly, fast and efficient. Pre-ordering is a great concept so your bowl of ramen can be delivered to you quickly after sitting down.

Popular ramen spot with lines to prove it, and honestly, worth it just for the noodles. For a long time, Ganko Ittetsu has been hailed as one of the best ramen place in Boston. Always missed an opportunity to come here when there isn’t a line, but recently got a chance to stop by for an early Friday dinner. Even then, the place filled up fast, but we managed to snag a spot on their “patio” without a wait. Ordering happened at the door before we were seated, which kept things moving, and the menu was streamlined enough to make this process painless. The noodles. Ganko uses original Nishiyama noodles from Sapporo—famed for their springy bite and signature elasticity—and then cures them in-house to enhance the texture even further. And the result was some of the most technically precise ramen noodles I’ve had in Boston. Perfectly chewy, with that firm, al dente snap that holds up from first slurp to last. Haven’t seen another Boston spot take their noodles this seriously, and frankly, the obsession felt justified. Of the three bowls I tried, my favorites were the Tan Tan ramen and the Karai Shoyu. Both broths leaned spicy and savory, but the Tan Tan had a deeper warmth—nutty, garlicky, a little spicy, and rich with umami. Just the way I like it. The Karai Shoyu was cleaner, with garlic profile dialed down and a sharper finish. Wasn’t as into the Gankara Miso. Typically a balance of sweet and savory, but here it skewed too sweet for me. Maybe from the napa cabbage and bean sprouts? The broth didn’t quite work, though the noodles were, again, flawless. As for apps, turns out they’re made across the walkway at their sister restaurant. Kara-age was solid, but if you’re going to get it, go for the original. The extra-crispy version came out a bit too greasy. The pork gyoza was great.

I haven’t been to CSG for a while and love how they have revamped the food court space into a nice and comfortable food hall. I instantly gravitated towards Sapporo Ramen and we ordered some ramen, katsu curry, sushi, and poke bowl. We really enjoyed the miso ramen because the broth was just so rich! The katsu curry was also super flavorful. The service was great and food delicious, you’d like them.

Mannnn that was bad. The pork dumplings were not good at all. I gave most of them to my dog. He’ll eat anything. The ramen soup was worse than the dumplings. No flavor, actually bad flavor. You know how much this awful meal cost including a soda, $40+ 🤯 The restaurant is in the food court at the end of the shopping center along with other eateries. The directions to get there could have been better. I don’t recommend this place at all. Nice people but awful food. 🤢

I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen, but it was really disappointing. The broth was bland with no trace of miso flavor, and the pork slices were cut far too thick. I’ve had ramen at many places, and unfortunately, this was the worst experience so far.

I had a disappointing experience at Sapporo Ramen. The woman taking orders was incredibly rude, making the interaction so uncomfortable that I almost left without ordering. Despite this, I decided to give it a chance and ordered the teriyaki tofu bowl. When I asked what vegetables were included, I was told “cabbage,” but the bowl came with lettuce and a slice of tomato—completely unexpected and not a good pairing in my opinion. For $17, the portion size was small, and the bowl felt overpriced for what I received. When I requested spice, I was told I’d need to pay an additional $2 for a tiny packet of hot sauce, though thankfully one of the friendly male staff members gave it to me without charge. The men working there had excellent customer service, which was a stark contrast to the woman at the counter. As for the food, the teriyaki sauce on the tofu was decent, but the tofu lacked texture, and the lettuce was the only crunchy element—which didn’t work well with the dish. Adding some thoughtful, textured components would really improve the experience. Overall, while the staff (aside from the woman at the counter) was kind and accommodating, the poor service, underwhelming dish, and high price point made this a disappointing visit. I wouldn’t recommend the tofu bowl and would hesitate to return unless there were significant improvements.

I stopped by here for lunch since I was staying nearby and it was better than expected for mall food court. I got the beef gyudon bowl and the pork dumplings. The flavors were exactly what I wanted for the meal. The beef was cooked well and soft. The pork dumplings were hot and crispy and the dipping sauce had good flavor. Quick and efficient service. I really enjoyed my meal.

I had Miso Veggie Ramen today and it was absolutely delicious! 🍜 The flavor was perfect and so satisfying. The place was spacious and clean, and all the staff were super friendly and kind 💕 Definitely a place I’d love to come back to!

Decent ramen, not the best we have had. The tempura just ended up being soggy and less enjoyable - I’d say good not great. I wish they had more options. Definitely a convenient grab and go location if it’s not busy.

I just don’t get for what that price. Portion is small, almost no ingredients other than egg that is in additional charge added separately. Noodles were tasty and perfect but broth is too salty and too oily, you don’t feel the flavour because of salt, didn’t get it. Nothing special about the meat, seems taught, and you literally eating salty broth and noodles 90% of portion. Not welcoming dish. I don’t get the hype. And didn’t like that payment and tips they request upfront!!! So rude. There are better places in Boston for sure!

After coming back from Texas, I needed a bowl of ramen so I took my kid and went to my go-to spot, Tsuramen. Tsuramen is the best bowl of Ramen you will find around Boston. I've been coming here for years, and it's always consistently delicious. If I lived closer, I would eat here once a week. I ordered my usual, Spicy Paitan with an Onsen egg, and ordered the Shio Classic with toppings on the side for my kid. The Spicy Paitan had a nice creamy texture, and layered depths of flavor. The balance of salt was just right, and the spice level didn't overwhelm the broth. The noodles were bouncy with a nice chew as usual. The Char siu was thinly sliced and was really tender after soaking in the broth for a minute. The Shio Classic has a nice clear Chicken Broth but it was very flavorful. My son couldn't stop drinking the soup! I also appreciated the staff separating the toppings for him. Tsuramen's interior space is nice and simple with a few tables, and a counter space where you can watch the chef craft your ramen. The staff was great! They were friendly, and accommodating. There are some decent spots to eat Ramen that are closer to me, but I feel that it is always worth the drive to Tsuramen.

Casual walk-in ramen joint. Not many tables but bar/counter is also available. We walked in and the help explained the choices available and the differences. So you order, pay, and grab a seat. We ordered 2 Tan Tan Spicy and a Paitan. You get your utensils at a table near the back. Presentation was good and broth was delicious. My youngest doesn't usually like eggs but she thought the egg was delicious. The noodles were nice and firm.

People are really nice and good service. The ramen is just fine. If you're in the area and want ramen it fits the bill but there are far far better options not too far away. Flavor was decent and bowls had the esthetic, but the pork itself was cold and flavorless.

We were really excited to try this spot in Cambridge for its unique Japanese-Spanish fusion, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to our expectations with poor execution. Many components on each dish were either cold, overly chewy, or overcooked. That said, we did enjoy their innovative drinks menu and desserts, and would recommend this place for drinks!

We had an amazing dinner at Pagu! We ordered a spread to share — hamachi crudo, cod fritters, patatas bravas, crab curry noodles, oyster bao, crispy pork bao, and finished with the chocolate cake and sangria. Every single dish was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The small plates made it easy to try a little bit of everything, and nothing disappointed. The crab curry noodles were rich and fragrant, the baos were perfectly soft with generous fillings, and the chocolate cake was the perfect ending. Great food, great service, and a lively atmosphere — absolutely worth a visit.

Food overall was okay at best. The best tapas were the carrots and fish crudo. Overall flavor for most of the tapas was on the bland side. The Spanish ham was stiff and not worth the cost for the amount. What you get is not worth what you pay for in terms of quality and quantity of food.

I had many different experiences at pagu: here is my over all review: Classes: I highly recommend checking out pagus classes online. I have had 8 different type of classes at pagu, a noodle making class, tea tasting, and others. The experience has always been top notch and well worth the money. I’m always so full after classes and always have something to bring home. Private events: I have attended several private events at pagu and the food is probably the best food I have had at any of those events. Usually at an event the food is over cooked or lack of imagination or variety. But the food and drinks at pagu are always excellent and has many vegan and gluten free options. The food are fresh and meat and seafood are always cooked perfectly. Catering event: I had several private events where I used pagu as our catering partner and they are so easy to work with and always on time. And they have options where you can get things that’s pre cooked or half cooked for you to cook at home. Dine in: pagu probably has some of the most innovative and delicious drinks in Boston. I really love Thai kombucha series. Food portion can be in a smaller sides which is inline with the tapa style. The food is light which I enjoy. I often found food in a lot places on the east coast has a really heavy hand with salt and seasoning which to me really is unpleasant. I would say the seasoning at pagu is more west coast which is light and refreshing which I really enjoy.

Hard to judge when the service is this good! The staff is wonderfully friendly and kind, making the experience warm and welcoming. The food, however, was just OK for the price — I expected more. The croquettes were overcooked, the ramen broth lacked depth, and the pork in the ramen wasn’t as tender as I’d hoped. On the bright side, the pork belly bao was excellent. Overall: OK food, amazing staff. I would come back.

We absolutely loved having our wedding at Pagu! From the start, the chef and owner Tracy was incredibly responsive and she got back to us right away when we inquired about hosting our wedding at the restaurant. She shared a detailed event order with sample dishes and estimated charges, which really helped us get the ball rolling with our planning. When we were able to visit Boston (we're based out of state), Tracy personally gave us our initial walkthrough. The combination of the restaurant’s cozy interior and beautiful, spacious outdoor patio made Pagu the perfect venue for our 100-guest celebration. One of the biggest reasons we wanted a restaurant wedding was the food, and Pagu absolutely delivered! Amanda and Chris T. took great care of us during our food and drink tastings, and everything was truly fantastic. The string beans, chicken katsu, miso cod, and wagyu beef were standout dishes. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about them! Tracy’s custom hot honey biscuits were also a huge hit as a late-night snack, and both the double chocolate and strawberry cakes were delicious crowd-pleasers. Like many couples, we barely had time to eat during the whirlwind of the day, but we were so happy that Pagu prepared a to-go bag of all of our food and it was all still incredibly delicious, even the next day! As the big day approached, the team answered all our questions promptly and worked closely with us to rearrange the table layout so everyone could be seated comfortably. We held our rehearsal at the venue the day before, and Amanda was incredibly helpful in coordinating everyone and making sure we all felt confident and prepared for the ceremony. The Pagu team also went above and beyond to accommodate our last-minute requests (including pickleback shots and matcha cookie favors), which was deeply appreciated. Everything went off without a hitch on the actual wedding day. The transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner were all totally seamless, thanks to the coordination of Amanda, Chris, and Winson; it was clear that they are all seasoned pros at running a wedding, which helped us relax and enjoy the day worry-free! We can’t recommend Pagu highly enough for a wedding or special event! The food, the space, and, most importantly, the people made our day unforgettable and exceeded all expectations. We were incredibly impressed with the whole team throughout the entire process. There were so many thoughtful touches and interactions that happened throughout the planning and on the day itself. If you're considering a restaurant wedding, you won’t regret choosing Pagu!!

A little overpriced for the portion size: yamachi was tasty but didn’t melt in my mouth. Everything tasted good but nothing out of the ordinary.

Ate here twice before submitting this review, overall this place is incredibly consistent and great! Great selection very fast service, friendly & it is family style so if your solo you’ll be sat next to another patron The noodles have an excellent texture to them and each of the various styles/broth options are well executed & tasty. I do think that the combo is the best value overall. They also have a ton of options for students.

They do make a good ramen, with a deep broth that likely simmers for a couple of days. Hope they don't cut up Chasu extra topping meat. The service is quick. I'm not sure if the ramen's that amazing to justify the long queue at the restaurant, but it is definitely good. Maybe the small size is what draws people in and sparks curiosity. It's been this way since I was in grad school, so at least six years now. I would’ve come more often if it weren't for the long wait.

Had Miso Ramen. Good. Taste was flavorful. It’s better if you dine in, only the seating is very limited. Outside seating is available but weather conditions might prevent it. Price is fair. Service is good. They are very fast. Would go back if in the area.

Went on a rainy day, it was perfect. Lots of sizes to choose from depending on your appetite and lots of good flavors too. I always get shio flavor from santouka. Small shop but squeezed in before a line formed (reminded me just like Japan lol)

i went to Hokkaido Ramen with friends. the ramen was pretty good. the food was delicious and delivered very quickly. we were very blessed with a close parking space next to the ramen shop 🙏 would i go there again ? yes !!! it is a really good place to eat when you just want a nice bowl of ramen 2025-08-32 back again with my whole family 2025-09-03 back again. still delicious

Really decent ramen from a large ramen chain originating from Hokkaido. It taste nothing like that in Hokkaido. Nevertheless, better than the average ramen you get in the states. Quick service, decent broth. Good pork slices.

Very satisfied with the Hokkaido style ramen at Hakkaido Ramen Santouka. I had the Negi Nanban, which is featured as their spiciest Ramen. It will probably be mid-level spiciness for Asians, but I appreciated that the broth is still flavorful and drinkable. The chashu was pretty nice too, and the generous portion of Negi (Green onions), fried shallots, jalapeños, made this a truly unique dish. To my plesant surprise, there was a Kpop dance off outside the restaurant when I visited on a sunday! I don't think this happens everyday, but definitely made it a great experience of slurping spicy Ramen broth in the backdrop of Korean (yes not jap) music.

Broth tasted weak, noodles were soggy, pork so not good and it felt dry. Service was good, but the food didn’t deliver. It’s also a little over priced.

The to go pick-up ramen order is very small for $20, and costs extra for everything other bean sprouts. Adding all of the standard toppings like eggs, and other veggies will run it up to $30. I was still hungry at the end. The broth itself was quite good.

My siblings and I visited Totto on a Saturday for the very first time. I myself and one of my siblings never had ramen before one of them did. We ordered the shrimp ramen and miso pork ramen. The service was friendly. Our food came out hot however, the flavor of the food was just not the best at all. We asked for all the additives such as chili oil, etc and it did not make it better. The food overall was very bland the meat unseasoned just was not good. The broth honestly tastes like dirty kitchen soap, water. We understood that because we ordered appetizers and a couple of sodas that we needed to pay for part of the bill so we let them know and we let them know We didn’t want any issues just wanted to pay and go get better food as we were hungry. We just were not a fan at all of the Ramen. Instead of taking, at least one of the Ramen bowls that are at least $20 each depending on how many add-ons you get. The only thing the waiter gave us was an eight dollar discount. We basically spent $80 on food we didn’t even eat or like. The bowls were left pretty untouched full of ramen.

The atmosphere was great, service was great as well. The servers were knowledgeable and brought the food out in a timely manner. They were also very friendly and recommended the best options for our party. Unfortunately the food wasn’t the best and I had my expectations high due to everyone raving about the place. I got the chef’s ultra ramen. My personal opinion is that a ramen is characterized by a great broth and ingredients, which unfortunately it had neither. The noodles were decent, but the rest of the ingredients didn’t really feel like it matched the ramen. The broth was salty but also felt flavorless, just salt. The best part of my meal was the Karage chicken, which did have great flavor and a good taste. I probably won’t go here again unless I am with friends.

A hidden ramen gem in the Boston area! This ramen spot is an absolute gem — one of the best ramen experiences I’ve had in the Boston area. The restaurant is quite small and cozy, so don’t expect to just walk in and get a table, especially during peak hours. They don’t take reservations, but the wait system is very efficient. We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes, and exactly 20 minutes later, we received a text that our table was ready. Super smooth and well-organized. The vibe inside is warm and welcoming, with great music playing and a laid-back, yet energetic atmosphere. There’s also outdoor seating available in the summer, which is a fantastic bonus. Now, onto the food: the ramen is outstanding. The menu is not overly extensive, which I actually appreciate — they focus on a few well-crafted dishes and execute them perfectly. Every option we tried was rich in flavor and cooked with obvious care. They clearly label the spicy options (and yes, you can ask for them to make it not spicy, which is great if you’re not into heat). One cool touch is that if you’re seated at the bar, you can see straight into the kitchen through a glass panel. It’s always a good sign when a restaurant is confident enough to let customers watch the chefs at work, and everything looked clean and well-managed. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. They also offer a solid selection of beers, which pairs really well with the dishes. The service was excellent: fast, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. Everyone we interacted with was polite and seemed genuinely happy to be working there. All in all, this place nails it — from the food to the atmosphere to the service. Definitely worth the wait. Highly recommended!

Best Ramen I have ever had. Matt was awesome. The service was great. Although the place was small the atmosphere was great. If your in Newton you need to try this place… you wont eat anywhere else after trying it.

I have been here 3 times just because it’s super close to home and i dont wanna wait for so long. Everything is good but the food is alright, especially Chef’s ultra ramen. Maybe i have high expectation but it tastes very off. The meat is way off. Sorry but i have ordered this twice and thought it might be better.

Cute little spot in Newton center, excellent vibes, staff is very welcoming, did have that little ramen joint feel like you would get in Japan, but American style of course. Ramen was good stuff! Next time I want to try some of the interesting looking side dishes that they serve too

I used to think I'd love to visit Japan some day to try "real" ramen, to see how good it can really be. I'm not even sure I care anymore. It's hard to imagine anything being better than this. It can only be a different kind of good at this point. This ramen explodes my mind beyond understanding. It is hands down the most deliciousness you can possibly buy within hundreds of miles for only like $20. I can't recommend this place enough. Every other ramen place is always just an experience in a different aspect of disappointment: either the broth isn't as full of an umami, or the pork belly (omg...it's mouthwatering) isn't as good, or their eggs aren't done right, or they didn't bother with the extra vegetables or nori or caramelizing the corn, etc. etc. This place is above and beyond. Get the spicy miso, get two, you won't regret it. I envy you

This place is absolutely amazing! Great food, atmosphere, good and vibes the broth is some of the best I’ve ever had. The manager was also very kind and welcoming. Definitely will come back this place has become a staple spot for me!

The place is really nice however the drinks and food doesn’t match. The menu is very hard to understand and honestly the only things we liked were the potstickers and the Dino dog. The food didn’t have much seasoning or flavor. Very bland. The drinks were horrible. I paid $70 for 4 drinks and they were not good at all at the bar. The waitress was very friendly and tried to explain everything. I exchanged my food and by the time my order was ready we had paid the bill already. Took way too long and was horrible when I got home.

Very eclectic take on a Japanese restaurant. There is a mix of traditional Japanese to unique adaptations of Japanese cuisine on the menu with something for everyone. Like someone in our group mentioned, where else can you get quality sushi, noodles, hotdogs, hamburgers, and tacos under one roof. All the food we tried was excellent for taste, quality, and freshness. Service was well executed and staff is friendly. I highly recommend Hojoko for anyone looking for a fun atmosphere with great food and service. For added fun, order the Wasabi Roulette for your group (with horchata antidote).

The 3 of us ordered a few different dishes and shared in a tapas style. The sushi was so fresh and the kimchi fried rice was a hit with everyone. The restaurant has a cool chill atmosphere and the service was attentive. Possibly the best restaurant I’ve tried in the 3 weeks I spent in Boston.

Hojoko is a Japanese brunch and bar place located right outside of Fenway. The atmosphere is pretty nice, stylized similar to an Izakaya. The staff is also quite friendly, and were even nice enough to offer free drinks because one of our dishes was delayed and came out pretty late. The food itself was decent. The spam musubi was a bit expensive, and the yuzu was a bit overwhelming on the spam musubi, but did taste good. The shrimp toast wasn't similar to what we were used to, but it did have a good taste to it. The souffle pancakes fell a bit flat, as it didn't really have the "souffle" texture to it and there really wasn't much flavor to it. Overall, it was kind of expensive for the portion price, but can be a good brunch spot to visit in the area.

Came here before a concert. Interesting restaurant/bar. Very dark inside. Looks like we were in a basement. Nice outdoor seating. Restaurant attached to a hotel. Food was fusion. It was OK. Had the Korean Wings, it was OK. Sauce was thick. The shrimp toast was legit on a bread not a baguette. We got the pan fried dumplings with what I think is Hot Pot sauce. Also pretty pricey but again it was in Boston.

An incredibly detailed review of an evening that was very very good with a few ups and a few downs and a few exceptional moments and a few misses. 1. Let’s talk the vibe. The vibe was stellar! Such fun. We had no idea this was in a hotel. Or hotel-adjacent, as it were. We have lived here for many years, had our kids here, grad School here etc. and are frequent visitors to Isabella Gardner. Afterwards we decided to grab a bite and found good reviews of this place online. We wanted something eclectic, and this did not disappoint. With incredible drink names like “a pack of Newports” this place managed to both be sexy and down to earth. If that’s possible. The vibe is 5.0. 2. Let’s move on to the drink menu. My Mai Tai was good. But, it’s disappointing that they are charging five dollars for a topo Chico, that’s pretty much a one dollar drink, if that…they were just giving them away for free at the head of the Charles. I think Topochico is trying to become a thing, but hopefully they don’t price themselves as a thing, because it’s just a seltzer, so a little disappointing there. Really, we just wanted some seltzer from the bar, but they did not have any. So that was a disappointment. I would rate the drinks out of 3.5, because… Who does not have just seltzer from the gun at the bar? 3. The food was mixed. I loved my Hamachi sashimi. The charred cauliflower was good. The shrimp toast was good, but it was a little greasy, so please dial back a bit on that. The spicy miso Ramen that I ordered ‘to go’ was good. The wasabi roulette was tons of fun! Truly the highlight! When I lived in San Francisco, there was a chef that always used to “dose” one of the pieces if you ordered 12 with a lot of wasabi. This was similar, but it was so much more fun with the Horchata baby bottle. I love this idea and you should not get rid of it. This was truly a highlight, and tons of fun. Chicken tails were great. If all we had were that, I would give the food 5.0. Although, the shrimp toast was a little greasy. But my husband ordered the burger, and they said that it was one of the best in Boston, and it was… OK. Nothing to write Home about. So I’m going to give the Food 4.5, because everything else was super creative, but the burger was just sort of…meh. 4. Service was spectacular. A 5.0. They were super sweet about dealing with us and all of my questions and although one of the drinks came a little bit late, our server was upbeat and interesting. I would love to go again and play the wasabi roulette with friends. Did I have it all on my own? yes… Yes I did. And I would do it again. But it would be more fun with friends. Again, please keep that concept. Maybe make the shrimp toast a little bit less greasy, and definitely investigate while you’re charging five dollars for topo Chico. I can get them in Mexico for a quarter. I know it’s not Mexico, and I don’t know why topo Chico has suddenly become a ‘thing’, but five dollars is not really how that should be priced. Better yet, consider getting a gun with soda water in it, because that’s all we really wanted. We will be back, at a minimum for the wasabi roulette! Let’s get some soda water on tap before then.

This restaurant came well recommended for their wagyu burgers and their spicy miso ramen so we had to try… They were pretty good but not as amazing as they were blown up to be. The service was ok but not up to my expectations. I appreciated how they kept the name of the previous hotel it was a part of (Howard Johnson). The ambiance is eclectic and interesting. I’d like to say they can do so much more with the dining area to make it more inviting and hospitable. There was one thing that irked me and that was when I asked if we can have a booth or larger table for the food we are ordering. There was nobody else in the entire restaurant, but the waitress said she couldn’t accommodate us because they need to reserve the booths for larger parties 👀 we even told her we were the only ones in there and were going to quickly eat and leave. But she still felt like she couldn’t do it for us. The 2nd time we went here just for drinks. The bartender was very nice and they didn’t have the drink I wanted so she made me a version of her own and it was great 👍🏽

Glad I found this nice Ramen shop with Yuzu Hayashi Chuka special during the heat. The chilled sublime broth paired well with the shrimp and noodles to cool you down. Really lile the chili and sesame condimenta. Place is clean, quiet, ramen came out relatively fast, service was quick. Btw the restaurant is cash only.

Absolutely worth a visit, especially if you like Ichiran! I ordered the Shiro Tonkotsu. - 🧂 Less salty than most ramen; if it’s not enough for you, each table is stocked with soy sauce, vinegar, chili powder and sesame. - 🍜 Strong Hakata vibes (think Ichiran)! Firm and chewy noodles, rich pork broth and plenty of thin sliced pork. - 💵 Very affordable but CASH ONLY! Don’t forget your bills at home. Overall a super solid bowl. The broth had lots of depth but was really clean to the point where I drank the entire bowl. Quick and friendly service.

So many great Ramens I want to try! We stopped in for the Tan Tan and Karashiro spicy ramens but I want to come back and try the black garlic and Miso Ramens. We also tried the tempura crab and tofo. Both fantastic

Tora Ramen is a cozy little spot with solid food and great service. They, however, do lack variety on their ramen menu as the only real protein choice is pork so those with that particular food restriction won’t be leaving with a full stomach. Even some of the ramen choices that don’t have pieces of pork in them, do have pork bone broth. While they did have a single vegetarian option, I couldn’t justify paying almost $20 for a protein-less dish when I can get a braised beef ramen elsewhere for the same price. One of the other party members did have the pork belly ramen and was very satisfied with the flavor and portion size. They do have a solid appetizer menu as well, I would recommend the seaweed salad and Kani croquettes.

Compared to other ramen, this place should be at the bottom of your list of places to check out. Store is a great vibe, spacious layout for such a small spot. Service is quick and simple, QR code menu. Food is incredibly lackluster, soup is barely warm or flavorful enough to be soup, the meat seems like it’s canned or at least undercooked, egg was good, bamboo shoots tasted off may have been old or a number of other reasons. The noodles have the right texture but just no flavor at all. With all of the above considered, spot seems like it should be a quick stop for some good hearty ramen and bad food leads me to a 1 star. (Cash only also makes it little inconvenient even though they have an atm)

The best ramen I have ever had. The flavors are so well balanced. We had the miso and spicy tonkotsu ramen. Both incredible and rich in flavor. The sous vide pork was out of this world. I wanted to have this ramen every night we were in Boston. There are only about 5 tables so you will have to wait . It is also cash only but they have an atm.

Loved this ramen. I ordered the shiro ramen. Super flavorful sea salt broth. The pork was very tender and the egg was cooked to perfection. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Boston. My partner and I are big ramen connoisseurs and this place was much better than ganko ramen Boston that we also tried.

We ordered three kinds of Ramen and all of three taste good. Curry chicken is also nice to try. Side curry rice is not so valuable. Two appetizers are also good to try.

Before grocery shopping, we found a ramen spot inside the supermarket, perfect for a quick meal! I ordered the Isshindo Ramen, while he had the Tonkatsu Ramen and shrimp shumai as an appetizer. The food was delicious, the server was friendly, and the place had a cute, authentic Japanese vibe. Definitely worth a visit for a good dinner.

Tried the tomato, spicy tomato, spicy miso ramen and crispy chicken curry - all were great! Spicy options are pretty spicy, better to stick to the non spicy options if you aren't great at handling the spice. Loads of vegetarian options!

De-licious food. Ramen obviously a banger. It's in the place's name after all. Great sides. Side of fried chicken for $4! I mean, c'mon... What else would you want. It's looks like it's not in the best place, looking out on a shoddy parking lot, but it's well worth the try. Even stable consumption for that matter. Walk in, get a table by yourself or for your party. You won't be disappointed. Five stars.

It’s a small little joint next to the supermarket. There were tons of takeout orders so definitely a lot of people buying back. We dined in and ordered a mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian ramen. All of them were great and will highly recommend this place. Please remember to make reservations as the place is tight and you might not find space if you walk in

Been going to Isshindo for YEARS and it truly is the ramen my soul yearns for. Brought multiple guests here who agree that this is the best ramen they’ve ever had. The food is always delicious and flavorful — the broth rich, the meat tender, the ajitama eggs delectable. The food comes out fast and the staff are super kind. Even though I no longer live in the city I always try to hit up Isshindo when I’m headed to or from the airport. So happy this place exists and is thriving.

Great tonkotsu ramen ($14) for a generous price. The portions are very large and they do not skimp out on the meat and toppings, unlike other restaurants like Santouka or Totto. Noodles are a bit on the thin side, but there are various noodle substitutes for an extra dollar. Good service and atmosphere. Free valet parking available upon request too. Would definitely go again!

Awesome place to try hotpot. The appetizers were really good, spicy wings and calamari are a must try. We had cucumber mojito and land of rising sun cocktails which were pretty tasty. For the hotpots there are a variety of options available. The staff were friendly and helped with the menu. Definitely going back again.

Happened to walk by this eatery and decided to have lunch here. It was great decision. Tried my favorite Tom Yum broth Shabu. It was delicious. The staffs are very nice. Busy place, make sure to make reservation. Otherwise, you will have to wait a while.

Super polite staff, but the service was very slow! I had very high expectations from this place! I love ramen, but the curry ramen here tasted very different from other curry ramens I’ve tasted before! It was like an Indian based curry rather than Thai based curry. I may go back here and try the hot pot or other food, but I don’t think I’ll try the ramen again!

Excellent ramen with rich broth and flavors. Got the spicy tonkatsu ramen and a regular ramen with traditional noodles.Presentation and the packaging was perfect and both had perfectly cooked eggs and pork. Ramen noodles were nice and chewy and I liked the traditional thick noodle option better than the standard one. Highly recommend trying them out.

Not too bad. We had the seafood hot pot combo which was fairly good. Just about enough for two people, but will cost you about 40 dollars of you add drinks. We added an extra small bowl of udon noodles for 3.50. Yeah, a little pricey but good quality food.

Went for the lunch buffet special, we got the $49 tier which had many options. I was very excited to have the choice of three soup bases, pictured is; Miso, Tom Yum, and Spicy Szechuan. At first the spicy Szechuan was so spicy to the point we were sneezing but unreal flavor. I personally did not try the tom Yum but the miso was great!! Awesome flavor, decent prices, great selections! I do wish there was a napkin holder on the table, we definitely needed more than one napkin 🤣 Overall great experience & will return.

It's a cute restaurant. They have tall tables facing the window. Would be great to sit there and eat while watching the rain. We got kao soi and pho with chicken broth. Both were delicious. We added shredded chicken and it came with a good amount.

Great cozy peaceful place. Just a few Vegetarian options (1-2 in each section) but they are really really good and very flavorful. Tried the Yasai Ramen and Fried Tofu Rice bowl.

If you’re hungry and not sure where to go near Coolidge Corner, Soup Shack is the spot. They’ve got everything from steaming ramen and rich pho to hearty rice bowls. If soup’s not your thing, the chicken katsu curry rice bowl is a must-try. Service is always friendly, portions are generous, and prices are reasonable. Plus, they’ve got a Cambridge location too.

Great restaurant! I got the Black Tonkotsu Ramen and it was one of the best. The broth was flavorful but not overpowering, and the meat was very tasty

Came for dinner with my family on a weekday night and it wasn’t too busy. The appetizers were amazing, particularly the Takoyaki and the Charsiu baos. Wasn’t a huge fan of the fried oyster. The ramen selection was great, and so was the Tom yum noodle soup, although the Saigon udon was a bit disappointing. Overall, they have a big selection so would recommend stopping by and trying a few!

Fantastic ramen and normal prices for the area (I paid around $17 for the ramen). I got the Black Tonkotsu ramen, I absolutely loved it. All of our meals were great, I would be more than happy to come back. The service was fast, overall a very pleasant experience.

Must try l!! Had the Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) and Tan Tan Men Ramen (Pork Ramen a tad bit spicy) also tried the Vietnamese iced tea. The service is great, they care to answer any questions that you may have. The place is clean and the food was fresh. Excellent restaurant.

Overall it was a good experience, albeit a bit pricy. The broth of the umami ramen was very rich, but $5 for extra noodles? The “takoyaki” sushi was interesting. The plum wine was nice and sweet.

Stopped by Bosso around 5 PM for an early dinner on a Saturday. The whole staff shouts out a welcome when you walk in, which is fun and sets a nice tone. The place looks great and service was on point throughout. Good is beautifully plated! We started with the edamame shiromiso hummus and ume fried gyoza. The hummus had nice flavor and came with chips. In my opinion, it would've been better served with bread. The gyoza though? Absolutely killed it. Best thing we had all night. We moved on to sushi and got the spicy salmon and tuna avocado hand rolls. The spicy salmon was so good we ordered another round. The tuna avocado was fine, nothing to write home about. Next, we ordered the karami ramen (we added an egg). This dish was a disappointment. It's advertised as spicy, which was why we ordered it but I found it bland and not spicy at all. We even got the spicy oil on the side. Zero spice. Not even a hint. For a dish that's supposed to have heat, this was seriously a letdown. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff really do make the experience enjoyable, but if you're expecting any actual spice from the spicy dishes, you're going to be let down. Order the gyoza and you'll be happy.

LOVE this place. Has to be one of the best and most affordable japanese restaurants in the area. Everything is so so good and the staff is so friendly. Their gyoza and sushi hand rolls have to be my favorite, and everything is a great price. 100% recommend

The yuzu ramen was delicious, but the macha ice cream with sweet potatoes stole the show for me. The flavor of the ice cream complemented the sweetness of the sweet potato beautifully with a constrat of temperature as well. Amazing!

Very clean interior and nice atmosphere. Love the croquette dish, which is very nice for sharing. The ramen is reasonably good, but don’t count on it to fill your stomach: The portion is really small. The sushis are similar: very delicate but small portions.

Red Chicken in the appetizer was much better than the Ramen itself. The ramen was decent nothing to rave about, the broth could have been more flavorful. The salad that came with the ramen was super fresh and tasted good. The pork gyoza was amazing.

I typically am not one to write reviews but this place deserves one. Good atmosphere, attentive staff, and quick service. Came on a Thursday evening, busy but not full. Had the signature Toro Niko Ramen with the Gyoza and egg combo with Shio flavoring (creamy). Broth was hot, noodles and ingredients tasted fresh. Meat felt like a good amount, about 6 slices. Tender and juicy. Dumplings were crisp and warm. Egg was perfectly soft boiled. I would highly recommend if you are in the area. Keep up the good work!!

Small ramen shop, including a Japanese greeting and good-bye! We ordered a spicy miso ramen, a yuzu ramen, and a curry rice. The prices were around 12.49 for a bowl of ramen and varies slightly depending on which one you order. Fast service with a smile, this ramen ship is a great spot if you are in the area!

Yummy food for the area. Great broth. Medium noodle. The seating wait time was not long. Take out is a very quick process. Street parking was easy as well around 5pm weekday. The store is going on a vacation March until May 2025.

Recommended by our son, we made the short 20-minute drive to check out Pikaichi, a ramen spot tucked away in Medford. As we approached, we noticed there were no other businesses nearby—but what caught our attention was the crowd of people waiting in line to get in. That was our first sign we were in for something good. I thought to myself, “Everyone must be here just for the food.” After putting our names on the waitlist, it quickly became clear that this is a local, family-owned restaurant. The chef, who may also be the owner, prepares the ramen right in front of you behind the counter, adding a personal touch that’s rare these days. We waited about 20 minutes for a table—not bad considering how popular it seems to be. Ordering was simple, and the menu offers a great variety of ramen bases and side dishes. We each chose a different soup base, and every bowl arrived beautifully presented and full of rich, satisfying flavor. If you’re in the area and love ramen, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Pikaichi is probably my favorite ramen place to go to within the Greater Boston area. I've been coming to the restaurant since it began in Super88 in the Allston area, and followed it to their new restaurant location in Medford. The quality has remained the same over the last 5 years of eating Pikaichi. The service is excellent, prices are cheaper than most ramen places in the area, but the quality is still exceptional. Wait times and parking can be a bit of an issue, but it is well worth the wait. I typically get the Jigoku Ramen, with additional toppings such as extra noodles, the chashu rice, and a whole egg added in. This comes out to around $16-17 for the total dish. The Jigoku isn't too spicy, with the portion size being good for the price. The extra noodles are perfect to use up the rest of the broth, with the rest going for the rice. It is a bit salty for some, but I find that it is balanced quite well with the noodles and rice. Overall, one of my favorite ramen spots in the whole city area, and I will continue coming back.

Nice rendition of ramen. A tad salty for us but probably ok for most. Very quick once you sit and order. There was a table of six that were so loud in the small dining area that it made for a less than pleasant dining experience. Would probably do take out next time. Would recommend the ramen.

The veggie options were OKAY. Not bad also not as good as good bought ramen. I think their pork broth is supposed to be really good but I can't have pork so I couldn't have it. Note to owner-- try a chicken, fish or beef broth for folks who can't have pork. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Never had to wait for anything. Wait was long on a Friday night but that just means they're good. No reservation. Lots of parking available within walking distance. And the prices are very reasonable

My wife told me about this place sometime ago and suggested I try it with my son. We came during my son college grad weekend and had a o patio table on a beautiful afternoon. The wait staff was excellent and explained every piece of sushi in detail. The sushi was very good but not mind blowing. The chef here had its own unique take and creation of each dishes which IMO stray into fusion style and less traditional. We actually preferred Blue Ribbon sushi on commonwealth ave.

Best dinner of our trip! Doug and V were such good hosts, some of our favorite dishes, that we would not have ordered otherwise, were recommendations from them. Uni spoons were a delicious and a fun way to start our meal, the sake flight was a nice variety, absolutely every dish was delicious and artistically made. Definitely recommend! Sitting at the counter made the whole experience even more enjoyable- I feel like we got a whole lesson in cuisine! Thanks Doug, V and Uni for a wonderful meal with wonderful company.

We tried the daily tasting & enjoyed the ride. Some dishes were new to me; some others were less surprising, but everything was well executed. One drink pairing for two is more than enough. The room is pretty noisy & the chairs at the counter were not the most comfortable but the people working there were nice & interesting :) A good night in Boston!

The signature uni spoon and sashimi with foie gras were creative and delicious. The sushi was fresh and executed well and the charred romano beans were a standout. Signature drinks also worth a try and solid wine pairings. All in a nice atmosphere connected to a landmark hotel in the back bay.

Indeed nice presentation for every dish, fresh ingredients, quality sushi but the dishes are all very small, no larger than 2 onces even for the cooked ones, and it’s $23 for a small bowl of noodles. Way overpriced.

Uni Boston is an incredible spot for sushi and creative Japanese cuisine. The omakase experience is top-tier — every dish is thoughtful and beautifully presented. The uni, of course, is the highlight: fresh, creamy, and decadent. Perfect place for a special night out in Boston.

It was a miss. Table of two ordered four plates, which were each served at completely random times and out of order. Recommend that you pass on outdoor seating: no breathing room from other diners. Won’t ever understand why the entire wait staff wears T-shirts, jeans and sneakers: literally the dress code of a Chipotle.

Really nice staff and very good lunch option. Yakitori was hot and fresh. Lunch set comes with soup, pickled radish, and egg roll. Would definitely come back!

The broth is good 👍 The price is very good for the quality. I ordered Tori ramen and it was $15. They gave big chunks of meat too! The only thing is that the menu is small, there are only around 5 options for ramen.

Came here spontaneously. There weren't many people so it was quiet, and the vibe was cool. We sat under the changing LED lights. The smashed cucumber was refreshing and the miso ramen was rich in flavor. The pork belly was unfortunately chewy imo but the ramen was still very tasty. My sister loved her curry! I asked for bok hot on the side even though it's not on the menu and they were happy to give me some. I wouldn't mind coming here again. The menu is super tiny but it's great for me because I'm super indecisive.

Nice for a quick bite of ramen. Tokyo ramen was a bit salty for my taste—pork was okay. Miso was better—I recommend that. Tried the egg yolk on rice appetizer too; was underwhelming considering the 6.00 price tag. Little bit of rice, furikake, tiny piece of Uni, an egg yolk, and some tobiko.

Had the Birria ramen and friend had the pumpkin curry ramen. Mine tasted almost like a chili. Friend's was too bland. The ramen was thicker than we expected, we didn't want to finish either of them. At least the dumplings were passable. Service was bad, the waitress managed to forget our drinks when the place was less than half full. Definitely would not revisit.

This is one of those graffiti covered- rap music playing Japanese restaurants and I love it. The menu is interesting and affordable, everything is a modern take on Japanese classics. The only thing (and this isn't a big thing) is this place doesn't serve any alcohol, so it's better for lunch than going out.

Tried the Dirty Bird Salad and Miso Lit Ramen for lunch today and I think it was pretty good considering that there’s only a few Ramen specialty places that I know of. The salad was good. I really liked the added little crunches on it. The ramen on the other hand got a little too flavorful by the time I reached the bottom of the bowl. And it wasn’t spicy enough for me. Overall, it was a nice meal for some good lunch. I would definitely come back again to try more of their ramen varieties.

Absolutely affordable sushi that’s also decent quality. Kinda hard to get to these prices and yet still taste so good. Ramen however, was a little weird. The tonkotsu tasted just salty and the ramen egg was sweet, which is odd. Noodles were a good Al dente though. Definitely come for sushi, maybe less so for ramen.

Nice cosy atmosphere. Ordered the spicy sesame ramen, it has a unique taste with the mushrooms, reminds me more of Dan Dan noodles. Service was good! My friend enjoyed the eel donburi bowl, saying it’s one of the best they’ve tried in this area. The miso soup that was served together with it was ok, could be improved. Since I didn’t take a receipt, I couldn’t verify the breakdown — something to double-check on future visits. Overall: A solid place for a bowl of veggie ramen with good flavor and cozy vibes. Just watch the tip calculation, and be mindful of parking and indoor temperature.

The sushi is below average. Their description of the rolls were not accurate. We asked if the Ramen could be spicy and they offer to bring chili oil only to be charged for it later without prior warn. Anyways this is a place to go if there is no other place you can go.

Went to this place a few days ago with a friend. Just want to say the person who served us had an amazing smile, she seemed so positive and I thank her for that. Most food places scare me but I honest to god felt so safe there it’s crazy. The sushi was delicious and I heard the ramen is great too. Great experience overall can’t wait to go back there.

Egg nigiri was great. The cuke roll was too much rind but maybe some people like that. Ramen was great! Attentive staff. Lots of stuff to choose from.

Our server was kind and funny, and also very attentive with filling up our waters and getting our food out even during a busy lunch rush. The food was good and I would definitely recommend the spicy salmon roll.

First time visiting Yume Ga in their new larger digs. The queue moved fairly quickly during that summer weekend lunch time. We waited about half hour. We thoroughly enjoyed the udon, both hot and cold version, each time we ate here. The udon has great texture. The spicy oil in the cold noodle is never that spicy. The whole bowl with the beef, egg and seaweed is a great combination of tasty components. The hot version has a rich flavorful broth. Each bowl is filling enough not to leave you hungry. Will get much busier when the students move back to the area. But, will put up with the longer wait because the food is truly special.

The wait is always worth it for a bowl of cold udon. It’s so light but flavorful at the same time. The udon has a good firm chewy texture. The beef also so good. I just love everything about this place. From a small corner shop inside a college to a big restaurant, they really make good udon

The wait was one hour loooooong… This raises a question: Was it worth the wait? My answer is a no. I arrived at 1 pm and ate at 2 pm. The line snaked wrapped around the whole “lobby” of Lesley University building. A woman provided the menus near the end of the line, and she took the orders before we were taken to our table. Then why am I not so happy with what appears to be an “efficient” or “they-are-trying” system? Once inside I saw a whole another side of the restaurant sitting empty, which is another sushi restaurant. It is clearly a “related” restaurant. Why not use it when it’s not being used? I understand that it never easy to share or try to figure out how to make it work. But a customer like me does not want to wait an hour. Honestly, Marugame is close to my home home in LA, and this place probably will not stand a good chance next to it. Well, the food was decent, but not really worth an hour wait or the price. Not having the array of choices to add on to my udon as in Marugame was disappointing. The price for udon was also pretty steep, which means the owner is making serious dough. So why not give some to the “neighboring” unit to use its unused space to alleviate the lunch crowd standing around hungry?

Very great udon place. For a fast eat and go, it is probably the best place to dine in. However, with the same reason, you are forced to leave as soon as done eating and paid. Atmosphere feels rushed and there is barely any customer service available due to packed revenue. Really great taste.

This was the first meal we had in Boston, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. We ordered both the cold and hot dishes, and both were underwhelming. The noodles were overly chewy and difficult to eat, and the beef was of poor quality. The fishy flavor in the sauce did not complement the beef well, resulting in a combination that was not enjoyable. I’m not sure why this restaurant is so popular, especially considering we waited in line for over an hour. Personally, I would not return.

Love the spicy cold beef noodle! Perfectly seasoned; well-cooked chewy noodles, and tender beef. Very spacious, friendly and fast service. Don’t be intimidated by the line outside; it moves pretty fast and they take your order while you’re in line.

Very decent noodle for an okay price! Got here around 5:45 on a Friday night and managed no wait, the line started forming after we entered. Def arrive around 5:30 to get seated right away!

We were walking around in chinatown and we saw the ramen sign😍 and we went directly to try them, they were a lot in that area but the outside view was not warming. Such an amazing place and super warming, server/staff were so nicely and organized. As for the food only good stuff, our dishes were delicious, the portions were big and the prices not expensive. Being a tourist was a nice experience to try Ramen in Boston!!!

Ramen was very good. I also ordered the tots and pork goyzas. They were good too. Staff friendly and quick. I personally would like to see maybe some more choices for appetizers but I definitely would come back for their Ramen.

The menu is small but offers a good variety of ramen options—and every one we tried was delicious and well-balanced, not too salty. The Korean fried chicken was incredibly tasty, definitely a must-try. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Just a heads-up: the place is open late and can get a bit loud due to the music, which makes it a little hard to have a conversation. Still, a great spot for flavorful food, especially if you're craving ramen at night.

So delicious! The best ramen I’ve had in Boston so far. The staff were so sweet and quick. I got the traditional miso ramen and my partner got the special black garlic beef. We also got edamame. Overall really yum!

Eye catching red and black front on the sidewalk on a sketchy neighborhood. The two color theme continues inside, with the addition of a puzzling glittery gold wall border edging the ceiling. The fake sakura tree from a distance looked like a silver Christmas tree, in small soace where West did not quite meet East. Two young smiling waitresses added to the casual vibes. First time I spotted a vegetarian dumpling offering on a menu, which felt to me loke answered prayers. Ordered the steam version which came to the table before I could open my napkin. Speediness at the expense of hot temperature and not fully cooked, the dough showing unappetizing blistering texture on the surface. I pointed out to my friendly server that the edges around the fold were undercooked but just got an empty smile. The dumplings were followed by a vegetarian ramen which was on the greasy side, and had some considerable heat which I was not expecting. But it was tasty though it did not feel healthy. The sturdy bowl it was served on, was actual stoneware which felt like the right choice, rather than flimsy plastic which seems to be ubiquitous nowadays. Maybe there was a dessert offering which looked like fried dough on the photo. I could have used some green tea ice cream. The prices were affordable which attracted a very young crowd that likes their background music loud and trendy, and they were not disappointed.

Food is good but not that great compared to other Ramen places. I like the pork tonkatsu and such a nice broth Beware, Staffs forced us to give tip. She said it is Mandatory, and if we dont want to give a tip we should have ordered take away instead. She probably thought we arent from the area and dont know accustomary. Gratuity is optional. How can i give a tip just by literally putting down the bowl on out table. Isnt it their job? Did she do anything extra to wow the customers and so im obligated to give a tip? Its been my second time coming here and it was the same experience. Servers pressure us to give tip as it is mandatory

Delicious food and very fast service. My friend and I absolutely devoured the pork buns, they were so good. I enjoyed my ramen (black garlic beef special). Large portions, definitely filled us up! Most of the seating available is countertop space with stools, but there are a few tables with chairs that do have backs.

The fried chicken karaage is excellent—crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The broth has a sharp, clean taste, perfect for those who prefer a lighter, more refreshing flavor. However, if you enjoy a richer and more concentrated broth, this ramen might feel like it’s missing something. I also appreciate that the noodle type varies depending on the broth type, adding an authentic touch! The staff service was excellent! They had a great attitude and were always attentive, making sure customers were well taken care of.

I've been meaning to try Muku for years, so we dropped in last week. We got the chicken karaage, tonkotsu shoyu ramen, and spicy miso ramen. The chicken karaage (original, not extra crispy) had a weird starchy/floury coating on it. The chicken inside was pretty good, but it was difficult to ignore the unpleasant coating. We ended up taking the coating off. I wouldn't get this again. The tonkotsu shoyu ramen had very little flavor and the egg was overcooked. The noodles were fine and the chashu was good -- well flavored with soy sauce and not too fatty. The spicy miso ramen had a bit more flavor than the tonkotsu, but not much. Just a bit of spiciness, but little additional depth. Overall, while the service and atmosphere were good, I didn't enjoy the food here, and wouldn't come back.

Very disappointing. We were encouraged by the good rating but this was among the worst ramen I've had in Boston (out of ~15 places). The tonkotsu shoyu broth was totally flavorless - not even a hint of salt, just oil and nothing else. It was crazy. Maybe we got a batch they forgot to season?? Because I am positive no one eating that would think it was good, it was noodles in water. The pork was good, the egg appeared to be unmarinated but cooked right, the noodles were fine. But you can't have broth be utterly flavorless. My friends and I agreed it was not worth eating. The "extra crispy" karaage was not very crispy, but it tasted good. The sauce didn't really offer anything, might have just been soy sauce. Staff was nice, but we won't be back.

There is a review about the food doesn't taste much I have to agree I come in with high expectations, ordered tonkatsu ramen and its taste plain n very oily? Ask if they have chili flakes for some flavor and got chili oil which doesnt do much except makijg it more oily. Egg is fine but doesnt seem to be marinated overall compared to a lot of ramen place I've been to this isn't that great :(

For lunch, we got the Spicy Tonkatsu and the Spicy Miso. Both soup lacks flavor and depth. I did appreciate that they use different noodles for each soup. However, the taste was underwhelming at best. The service was also poor as our waiter only came by to take our order and drop off our food. We did not receive any water throughout our entire meal.

The food is awesome. They couldn't provide me with the correct information regarding the difference between the regular and extra crispy fried chicken, so I ordered the wrong one. The one in my photos is the extra crispy one.

I used to love coming here. I don’t know if there are new chefs or a new owner since Muku reopened but the quality really went down. First, the ratio and aesthetic of the bowl was completely off — way too much broth in the bowl. The broth itself was one dimensional (not sure if there was a flavourful oil mixed in) with some sesame seeds floating around in it. Too many noodles, not placed neatly in the bowl but all tangled together. The chashu (meat) amounted to small pieces of flavourless meat and bad cuts, and, save one or two pieces, was hidden at the bottom of the bowl rather than placed on top. And the ajitama was over-cooked (the inside of the egg was more fluffy than jammy) and under-seasoned (it was almost white and didn’t seem to have sat in soy sauce marinade long enough). Feel sad to rate this place so low when I used to think of it as a hidden gem!

I felt that the ramen was reasonably priced for the area, which is to say it was on the expensive side for ramen, but very inexpensive for dining out in downtown Boston. The noodles were all excellent. The bite, chewiness and mouth feel were top notch. The broth was a bit disappointing. Perhaps we just had too high expectations. The regular level spice ramen was really very mild. If you actually want it to be spicy you'll want to upgrade to the 20x! All of the meat and eggs were excellent. The rice Don were also disappointing. They were not bad, at all, they were just not special or memorable in any way. The waitresses were super friendly and we did not have to wait long at all for a table on a Thursday night.

Glad to see a ramen joint open in this area! I had the spicy miso ramen which was decent. The noodle texture was good, but it was a bit too spicy and I also wished they gave a little more meat. This place is new though and I'm hoping to try more on the menu since I didn't try their more popular ramen dishes yet like the Tonkatsu ramen. Service was excellent as well - the wait wasn't too long and the server topped off my matcha drink before taking it to go!

Friendly staff and good service. Enjoyed the tonkotsu broth for its creamy broth, perfectly cooked egg, and quality tender pork, as well as the other toppings. I found the taste of the spicy miso a little peculiar, almost like smoked paprika. The noodles were cooked well. Over all, a good place in Boston to enjoy some ramen!

Pretty good ramen! We tried the Tanrei Shio Ramen and the Miso Ramen. Both broths were pretty tasty, although it might be a tad bit too salty. The shio ramen had chicken instead of pork cha-shu, but it was very tender and juicy. The egg was absolutely perfect, maybe the best eggs I've had in ramen in Boston. It's definitely on the pricier side with a bowl of ramen coming in at $12.50. Service was fine and there was no wait for lunch on a Saturday.

One word: ガッカリ🫤 Finally noticed they reopened, after seeing it closed during the pandemic. My high hopes could be the reason of the let down. But, maybe not? • Wrong order served at first. Definitely asked for non-spicy Miso ramen, but spicy arrived. Had to wait again for non-spicy to be cooked. Server now should recognize who I am. • Asked for a swap, exchange egg with something else, but quickly refused. No customization? • Quite salty soup, but not much Miso flavor, if any. In the end, quick conclusion that this is not my ramen place, unfortunately. Will not return.

I was looking forward to try Amateras Ramen as I saw a lot of good reviews from Google and Yelp. I tried the Yokohama Tonkotsu. For a $13.50 (excluding tax and tips) bowl of noodles, I do expect better quality and fresher ingredients. The vegetable was overcooked with a side of thinly sliced raw onions and half a soft boiled egg. The broth was too heavy and salty for my taste. The ramen taste like noodles you can buy from the Chinese grocery market. Overall, I’m disappointed with this ramen experience.

TL;DR - flavorful ramen at reasonable prices served by friendly and attentive staff. Heed the spice warnings on the menu. Amateras ramen seems to be a popular spot for a quick bowl of ramen on those plentiful chilly Boston days. We went there around 5:45pm on a Thursday night and were seated immediately. The boiled gyoza appetizer was great - the wrappers were some of the softest ones I'd ever tasted. My 5X spicy miso ramen was flavorful. I didn't know how Amateras' spice scale compared relative to other places so I started there, but next time I will definitely be going 10x. My husband's level 2 spicy green monster was definitely the spicier of the two. The thai chiles in the clear broth definitely packed a punch. The staff is polite, friendly, and attentive. Our waters were kept filled, table was set and cleared promptly, and our server processed our payment quickly.

The food was good and served very quickly. There was plenty of food and it was not expensive. I had the ginger duck with rice, half an egg roll, and tried a little bit of pho and chicken noodle soup. It is not gourmet, but if you want good quality and low prices, it is a great place.

After a difficult weekend and a stressful Monday (thankfully ended with a massage), I was walking around Tuesday looking for some comfort food when I found Pho Pasteur in Boston.The pho was exactly what I needed - very flavorful broth, properly steaming hot with little bits of glistening chicken fat on top. I even added some of the brown sauce, which I don't typically do, and it was spot-on. I'm Bart, a Boston realtor who likes to share authentic reviews of restaurants and businesses I've enjoyed. I rarely post negative reviews, preferring instead to message businesses directly with constructive suggestions.

Best authentic southern Pho in Boston (beats ones I've had in Dorchester). Have come back a few times. Great service and atmosphere. Reasonable price and good portions. However I do not recommend the curry vermicelli (bún cà ri gà). It was made using Japanese curry roux and not at all the more traditional Vietnamese coconut curry.

We ate there Pho - at 7-Sep-25, around 16:00. I ate the Pho with the sea food - see in the attached picture. The Pho is very big, so I took half of it in take away. It was very good, with lots of sea fruits. The vegetarian Pho that the other people ordered was also good. The service is quick and efficient, and prices are very reasonable.

I have never had worse experience. 1) we asked the difference between different types of Pho Bo a there are 5-6 of them and the server said “the difference is in the menu”. We were surprised and asked again but the answer was almost the same. Generally we don’t care about the service if the food is good but this is not the case! 2) Food. The most important part. I didn’t know I can be surprised so much but they managed to do so. I don’t know how it is possible to make such a disgusting Pho bo. There was more fat than meat. The bouillon tasted like salted water. Look at amount of fat we took out of our two plates. My dog eats less 3) they brought the check and asked if we were done when we had more than a half in our plates 4) the atmosphere there us perfect if you are a drug addict and wanna hang out after a swing party The only good thing is it was served in 3 min after the order

My favorite Pho in Boston. Old school and original. No fuss service-'fast and precise. Pho is flavorful and full of meat. Can't beat the original. Thank you

They have many tables, but their service is very quick , and it takes less than a minute to order. I have to scan the menu. It's fast enough! It takes less than 3 minutes to send the food. It takes 15-20 minutes to eat. I really don't know why I need to hurry and so quickly. The old-fashioned wash-free chopsticks, they look old and unqualified. They will be billed directly before you are finished and you will be asked to pay in cash. This is the fastest restaurant where I can eat noodles. The experience is very bad, but the food is not bad. Won’t go again.

It's a tight, cozy spot. The food there looked really good. We picked up our food. The staff was very friendly. We got their drunken noodles with chicken and beef. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size! Flavors were on point as well. Will come back.

Great place! It’s a small spot, and you need to scan a QR code to reserve your table. We waited about 30 minutes, but it was totally worth it. The service was fast and friendly, and the portions were big and delicious. I ordered the fried pineapple rice. My husband ordered pho soup. highly recommended!

It is located opposite to Berklee College of Music. You have to wait to be seated however the online queue is very efficient and much shorter waiting time than expected. The waiting time for food is also short and food is very authentic. I ordered fried Kyoza for starter and Po Vien (Vietnamese beef ball noodle soup) and Vietnamese ice coffee. The kyoza is just perfectly fried and juicy, the beef noodle soup is so authentic that I can not imagine it was in ten thousands miles away from Asia!

This is a really popular spot, and be prepared to wait if you have more than 2 people. Once you arrive, you scan the QR code to be on the wait list (if you didn’t join the waitlist before you got there). For 3 people, we waited over an hour at peak dinner time because there’s less tables for 3-4 and people take their time. Foodwise- for my first time, I didn’t feel like pho so it was a happy surprise they had a huge menu of Thai dishes as well. (Though I did try a bite of my friends pho and it was good! Really nice broth). I ordered the chicken pad see yew which had a great amount of broccoli and chinese broccoli that were perfectly cooked and I enjoyed the flat noodles too. Next time I want to try the khao soi or green curry or kra pow

I love to try different dishes. To any south indian who loves spice, the hot spice here in pho basil can be bland to your buds as it was for me. Keep the expectations low and enjoy the difference. My girl loved it she gives a solid 4 but i do 3. Food is bland, great service, reservation a must, ambience would be 2. I personally will not visit this place again. Loved the pineapple in pineapple fried rice though.

Pho Basil in Boston is an amazing Vietnamese spot! I had their drunken noodles and honestly, they’re the best I’ve ever tried. The food and service are both excellent. It does get busy during peak hours, but they make it easy with a QR code system for reservations. Definitely worth the visit!

This restaurant is an authentic dining both Thai and Vietnamese food. Today I have Spicy Rangoon, Tom yum Fried Rice, Yuzu Soda, and Jasmine Lychee. The food is clean and delicious. Moreover, the service here is really great! I definitely come back and try another dish!

We go to Lincoln all the time for a beer and some food. Their bar pizzas are absolutely awesome — super crispy, perfectly topped, and always delicious. I also love that they have some unique beers on tap that you don’t find everywhere. Great spot if you’re in the mood to try something new. Their burgers are also seriously good — juicy, well-seasoned, and made with fresh ingredients. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do. Funny story — one time we just stopped by for a quick pizza and didn’t order any drinks. The servers seemed a little surprised, but we were just craving pizza and it was as amazing as always. Overall, the vibe at Lincoln is always relaxed, the staff is friendly, and the food never disappoints. Definitely one of our go-to spots.

The hamburger, even though they only offer the classic one on the menu, is delicious. The wood-fired pizzas are really good too. Good service, great atmosphere! This time we went for dinner, but for brunch it's a great place, especially for the Thick Slice French Toast.

THE brunch spot in the heart of boston! Definitely would make a reservation on the weekend for brunch, cause it does get crowded! The fact there’s TV’s everywhere to watch the football games on Sunday! I already wanna go back ! The menu was so overwhelming with so many things that I want to try that I already know I’ll be back! The sandwich was great! I’d get it again! The only thing is I’m more of a pancake person, as my husband wanted French toast! Usually the fruity pebbles are over pancakes! It was still good but French toast is just too much bread for me! The donuts were absolutely amazing I could have ate that whole plate myself! There was like an apple pie jam ! My godddd !! Totally recommend stopping by ! I’ll be back to try more! Btw. I didn’t have the short rib poutine (not my style) ! But my husband did devour it so .. I’ll let that speak to ya’ll Also love the vibes for Halloween!

I am notamally a frequent Lincoln customer as i love the food & it’s a super convenient spot for where I live. So I am very disappointed to say that I had an alarming experience enough to write a review. I ordered the cheeseburger sliders and was served not 1, not 2, but 4 burgers that were completely raw in the center. Not just rare, RAW. Raw beef. I only realized it after biting in. I immediately called the restaurant and was refunded for the burger. That part I appreciated. But considering the seriousness of being served raw ground beef (major food safety issue) I was shocked that only the burger was refunded. My appetite was gone, my meal ruined, and honestly, I was unsettled. I messaged them on Instagram and got a very generic response saying they’d refunded just the burger. I then followed up via email to share how disappointing the experience was, but never received any reply. Accidents can happen, but the way a restaurant handles them says a lot.

12/10 restaurant!! Their brunch menu is to die for, would highly recommend everything, but their French toast and Cali burrito are delish. I have also been for dinner, great food as well but I think their brunch is the highlight of this place. Very reasonably priced as well. We split 3 apps & each got meals and a drink, after tip it was only $65 per person

Great way to start the day, absolutely loved the vibes and the service was wonderful. Our server, Gabby, was on top of everything. Price was reasonable and food was a hit, we all shared a bit of our plate with each other. Hope to return soon!

I had the short ribs with truffle mac & cheese out this world, so creamy and delicious I had to write this review, not only that I wanted something for my son that was not on the menu and they went above and beyond to make it for him! I been looking for a restaurant on west broadway st that the taste matches the price and Lincoln by far is the winner, loved so much I done told all my friends and family about it, will be definitely ordering from them again and for now one take all my money 😂

Great sushi for the price. Went here because my neighbor raved about this place. The ssamjang was an interesting sauce, but some of my friends that like ssamjang did not like it on sushi. I would go again and pick up is easy. Accommodated an octopus allergy. Not the best sushi in Boston but best sushi for the price in Boston while maintaining quality and standards.

Really really good sushi but the seating is 6 tiny seats in total downstairs and it is incredibly cramped. This place is ill-suited for dine-in. If i am ever back in this city i'd probably pickup sushi from this place and eat somewhere else. Also they do not let you drink alcohol inside the establishment which is a strange rule.

We put in some work on this dinner . Great sake choices and sushi was awesome . We also had the whole fish. Rolled out of here and. We were the last table . Had a decent wait to get in but so worth it. Will be back !!!!!!

After slow service at the start, the sushi started appearing and it was most excellent. It’s better to order off the chef special menu than the standard sushi menu even though the latter are quite excellent. Noisy as other reviewers have noted. Updated: went back a second time. Service was excellent. Sushi was excellent. Hauntingly good in fact. This is now the go to for sushi for me.

The price makes no sense with the food quality. They put the crappy cuts of sushi in the rolls to hide its poor quality, and they left part of the skin on some of the salmon. Very disappointed because this place used to be good.

Really a masterpiece sushi place! Too bad that they have such a small and noisy place that they can’t accommodate more customers. We had a reservations so we were seated right away. We ordered sashimi, sushi rolls and salmon ikura/abiding. Everything was fresh and tasty. Their service is fast and attentive. We would definitely go there a second time.

Hands down the freshest and best sushi in the NE. To be sure, I took a Japanese friend and she was still thinking about it the following week! Fresh ingredients only available in Japan. If the budget allows go for the omikaze. Need to book!

Do not recommend. Agree with most of the comments. Food is so ordinary but wayyyyy overpriced. That one small piece of fried pork chop is $22, just the pork chop and nothing else. Udon’s chicken broth is decent but it was $24 Urchin pasta is $34. It would be way better if they make the portion size of this dish half, and reduce the price, other wise the overall experience is unsatisfying. Service is not horrible but also very meh. We asked the server why there’s a chunk of random white stuff on the plate (looks like paint) and they just looked at it and said “it was probably just corn starch” and left.

I’m a bit of a harsh critic of ramen because I’ve tried so many, so this may be 5 stars for someone who either hasn’t had a lot of ramen or is just used to the 3-minute packet from the store. First, the sushi. The Itadaki spicy rolls were SO GOOD. I would come back just for these. I had them split with a friend as our starter. They were delicious dipped in soy sauce. I could eat two more orders of them easily as the whole meal. Second, the ramen. I was excited by all the options on their menu, but they’re not as generous with their portion as you may be led to believe. For example, if you order “marinated boiled egg” as one of the ingredients, you only get 1/2 an egg. To get the full egg, you need to order it twice. The broth was decent but I’ve definitely had better. My friend had the Shoyu base (soy sauce, not miso) and said it was very flavourful, so maybe try that instead. There was a lot of ramen noodles in the bowl though, so that was good! I just would have liked more toppings.

I was able to try a variety of dishes at this cute but deceivingly large restaurant: chicken kara-age, shucked oysters, sea urchin, salad, fried tofu, takoyaki, sushi pizza, etc. Each dish continually impressed me! Even the most simplest dish, edamame, was clearly of a premium quality. One of my favorite dishes was the baked rice casserole, Itadaki Signature Doria, as it was a new experience for me. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of fish on the nigiris, and was pleased with the amount of rice in the rolls. The service was perfect. I would definitely come back and I am looking forward to bringing my young foodies (ages 8 and 10) to try this place out!

Ramen and Sushi was good but a bit pricey . I admit the taste was a lot closer to the real miso Ramen I ate in Japan compared to other places in Boston :) Great paintings

Everything we ordered was tasty and nice plated. Friendly and fast service from a knowledge waiter. I felt that they do a slight adaptation to the "American taste" and stepped a bit from the authentic Japanese flavors and textures. A little bit too sweet and overuse (to my taste) of mayonnaise, but still, we enjoyed our dinner.

This is a nice comfy restaurant with a calm ambience for a small group. The food I mostly order here is the Ramen noodles with veggies and broth. It is whole and content filling food. You can see the images down here and feel the same way. The matcha frappe was ok and it was mostly crushed ice and less matcha drink in it. Probably saving on the costs of the matcha. My friend ordered sweet corn fries and loved it. There are interesting dishes on the menu and for me the Ramen dish has become a comfort food at this restaurant irrespective of the price. The place has a range of Sakes' too.

Delicious food, service was slow and little pricey but good atmosphere and very friendly staff. I got the volcano and it was great. They only admit reservations for the inside so we had to sit outside , they had little fireplaces but It was still pretty cold, so be aware and bring some jackets.

Great value, quick made to order and pleasant staff. Nice outdoor seating too. Chicken snd beef skewers and the Tom yum soup with shrimp was particularly delicious. Had the salmon curry and the rice was delicious not dry at all. 5/5!

Cute and cozy hole in the wall with delicious food. Keep an eye out for Beantown Pho and Grill the next time you walk down Newbury St. If you're not paying attention, you'll might walk past it without realizing. The place is downstairs/underground so it may be easily overlooked when walking by. We ordered the drunken noodles and pho dac biet and both came out pretty quickly. The drunken noodles had a good chew and a mouthwatering umami taste. The pho broth was hearty and flavorful, which was accompanied by a large assortment of tender beef and perfectly cooked noodles. I heard about this place from my friend's recommendation and it was my first time dining here. From this experience, I would say it's a solid restaurant. The food is yummy, service is quick, and the value isn't bad for a restaurant on Newbury. Definitely would recommend checking it out.

Fantastic, well coordinated service and the food was wonderful, each time I went. They offer a variety of spicy noodles and noodle soups, all of which are served steaming hot and delicious. Fried rice and noodles, although fried, were never greasy. As a person with a sensitive stomach, I got to really enjoy my food with no unpleasant consequences. Crab Rangoons are probably the best I've ever had!

I have been here twice, but maybe I will drop by there again. Located both downstairs and on a terrace, this restaurant offers both Thai and Vietnamese food. I sat on both down inside and outside sitting, and in both places service was good and fast. Downstairs the rest Thai iced tea is a perfect option for summer as it's very refreshing and good. They have spicy food, so take a look into the menu and look for the spicy dishes. The menu has both lunch and dinner pricing, so if you want to save some bucks you should come on lunch time. I tried Tom Yum Pad Thai and chicken Panang Curry, both were awesome, tasty and spicy. Also the crunchy rolls and the banana dessert were really good and worth to try. The staff is really paying attention to every customer, refilling their glasses or asking if something is missing or wrong. I haven't tried Pho dishes, so maybe next time I will give them a try.

If you're expecting authentic Vietnamese food, this is not the place for you. I thought this restaurant was authentic but was thrown off when I saw the menu included pad thai and red green curries. I guess it is a thai and vietnamese fusion restaurant? We ordered the chicken vermicelli bowl and tom yum pad thai. Both dishes were on the smaller portion side and definitely lacking chicken. The flavor was ok...lots of fish sauce so hard to mess that up.

This has become one of my go-to spots for Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. Fresh limeade and Thai iced tea are very delicious and consistently tasty! The beef skewers is a nice appetizer. I had their chicken skewers and that was pretty good too since it came with peanut sauce to pair with it. Their pho ga (chicken noodle soup) is definitely a popular entree! And I enjoyed how they snip up and break down into easier to eat crispy noodles so it's not a big chunk. They were able to make crispy noodle with crispy chicken! Great customer service, too!

Quaint and cozy place to get Thai & Vietnamese fare. We ordered the basil fried rice, curry noodle and pho rao. Fried rice was spicy and smoky, curry sauce was warm and a bit on the sweeter side and the broth in the pho was refreshing and packed with flavor & super fresh veggies!

Clean store. Unique items & good variety. Prices are on the higher side. I wish my $8 pear didn't have a large bruise under the price tag, where it was impossible to see. Seems intentional? Wouldn't mind if it was discounted. Parking is a challenge if you're driving. Overall worth checking out.

Decent food court. Selection of products are severely lacking in variety, though. Doesn't carry much of korean drinks or even snacks. Now I just goto Burlington hmart if I want to browse and haul korean drinks and snacks. But still good for small runs

Okay ✅ it’s Hmart the best place to shop period. But also it’s a bit pricey but still doesn’t change the fact it’s the best place to shop. I enjoy coming to Hmart daily to get an avocado 🥑. If you enjoy Asian food I recommend Hmart for sure but be prepared to want to buy everything you see. My friends and I meet at Hmart since it is the center of Central Square. I recommend you also use Hmart to meet up with your friends. Thanks!

An excellent place to fill up on your ingredients, sauces, meats, veggies, etc. An excellent store to get your groceries, drinks, snacks and food. There is hot foods served here. If you've been to other HMart locations, there are some similarities with this one compared to the other ones. Right as you walk in, you will find a few restaurants to eat at or you could order on your way out. The employees are helpful but always busy stocking up on items. There is a back room that's dedicated to more drinks and kitchenware as well. Overall, an excellent place check out if you're in the area and trying to satisfy your Asian cravings. *There is a parking lot behind this building you can use but parking is small and VERY limited.

Very full-service store; has fresh fruit and veg, including hard-to-find items, as well as surprisingly well-stocked fish case (note the pic of the monkfish—with head!!); amazing array of red meat, including items like kobe beef short ribs, wagyu, etc., & even some choice grade cuts. Absolutely amazing selection of shelf-stable/non-perishable foods & ingredients from all over Asia, not just Korea, including things like roasted soybean powder that you cannot find in other groceries. You could probably stock your kitchen with all basic staples as well as your longed-for items from Asia and never set foot in any other grocery store again. (A slight exaggeration, but only slight!)

Was great the first few times but the sudden switch to paper bags without handles is a disaster for students. Stocking up on groceries becomes impossible unless you have a car and hundreds of dollars of groceries are shoved into two bags that are difficult to carry and split immediately in the rain.

Dining here felt like a little trip to Tokyo! I had the beef tongue and ramen, along with several small dishes—there’s such a great variety of authentic Japanese options to try. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The only thing I’d wish for is slightly bigger portions. Still, it’s a wonderful spot with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

Very cool spot. Quoted 20-30 min, got seated at about 36 after, no biggy. Wife, 12, and myself ordered 2 avacado/tuna rolls The freshwater eel roll Chicken thigh yakaroti x3 Pork belly yakatori Japanese fried chicken Gyu yakimeshi And a rice triangle with salmon All of it was fantastic. We will definitely be back! Worth the trip out.

The food is pretty good and the atmosphere and staff are great. However I did think the broth for the Ittoku Ramen could be more flavorful. It has a very light pork flavor but that's about it.

What a great restaurant. Our friends in Boston took my wife and I to Izakaya Ittoku for dinner. It REALLY reminded me of some restaurants went went to in Tokyo. We really enjoyed the casual atmosphere, the good food and wonderful service. We can't wait to take our kids there next time we are in Boston. I loved the chicken thigh and gizzard skewers. oh get the fried yams (sweet potatos), fried chicken and squid; these were great to have with a beer) They were delicious. We at sooo much food that night but it was well worth the food gluttony :) Will I go back again ? Absolutely ! Oh and parking is available in the back of the building too.

It has good food and nice servants. Price is the only tiny problem with just ok dish size. I still like this restaurant but it’s hard to be my frequent go-to considering the price. It’s a good place to hang out with friend or for the first time date.

We ordered the salmon avocado parfait, the Ittoku ramen, and the okonomiyaki. Overall, the experience was a bit below my expectations. First, the salmon didn’t taste very fresh — it seemed to be frozen. Second, the ramen was quite simple. Although it’s called “Ittoku Ramen,” it only came with a basic broth, green onions, a few slices of pork, and an egg, which made it a bit plain. Finally, the okonomiyaki had a whole strip of bacon and a strong onion flavor, making it taste more like an American-style dish. Overall, the prices were reasonable and the service was good, but the flavors were not that good. I was especially disappointed by the lack of freshness in the salmon, as I had higher expectations for this place.

We had a variety of dished shared among three and all of the were excellent. So we're the cocktails and mock tails. Same goes for the service where the staff was excellent. Ambiance of the place was great as well. The resturant is situated near Lesley University Parking Lot and of the parking next to the resturant is full, park there and the they will validate the parking for a totoal of $5.

Food was okay, but nothing really “wow”-d, which was a bit disappointing given the prices. I would recommend the soba over the sushi. Atmosphere was more casual than the pictures alluded to. Not an issue, but writing it to set others’ expectations

Food is ok. Salmon poke only includes few salmon. Few ribs as well. Chicken Katsu is not bad. The light is a little dark.

I ate the Tempura Soba and it was very delicious. The tempura prawns was very crispy and the light, refreshing soba noodles complemented them very well. The service was excellent and I love the relaxing ambience.

I come to Boston a lot and always look for a sushi restaurant with a date vibe. I looked up this restaurant and came to try. I was so amazed with the night warm vibe, which is suitable for a date. The food is really good both for quality and decoration. The bar area is about to open soon!!!! Price is good ranging from $8 to $13. Good deal for excellent quality. Best RECOMMENT !!!!! Got the beef teriyaki bento box. This is exactly how it arrived. Everything else in the box was fine, but the beef was weird, little tiny scraps and did not taste like teriyaki at all. Had a funny aftertaste, so after two bites, I couldn’t eat it at all.

Loved that their menu has pictures of everything, which help both my kids try something new. And it was actually my son that noticed the plates were stacked to look like a flower. I enjoy the little things! And the food was delicious! Finished our meal off with some Boba Tea for dessert!

This place is great and I look forward to going back. The sushi was spot on, fresh, and was made perfectly down to the details. The lemongrass tofu was big, delicious, and filling. The skewers are simple and fun. The gyoza were cooked well and seasoned nicely. This almost got five stars but my order was filled incorrectly at first but they fixed it. Also the skewers were forgot but they then made them when reminded. This place has great food and when I go again, this will probably be upgraded to five stars.

Started our morning at Rebelle Artisan Bagels in Cambridge and it was a wonderful experience. The sesame seed bagel with cheese and egg was absolutely delicious, perfectly paired with a strong brute coffee. It was the perfect breakfast to enjoy on our trip from Dubai to Boston, and we truly loved every bite. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fresh and tasty start to the day!

This Rebelle Can Yell Hidden away on Third Street in Cambridge, Rebelle Artisan Bagels is back in Cambridge! Lots of bagel shops options, but this is a nice find in the area. Customize your own bagel, from plain, everything, sesame, and the like…to choosing your own spread, to the à la cart toppings. My favorite go-to’s include lox (house-cured or smoked nova) and smoked whitefish salad. A healthy serving at 2 ounces per scoop, these creations are a mouthful- no one said eating a bagel had to be clean! – make sure you’ve got plenty of napkins on hand. Every bite is satisfying, enough to make me a repeat customer. Love that it’s close to work and I can pop in at a moments notice. Friendly staff, clean environment, wifi, seating inside and out, and really cool merch on site. Worth a visit!

I love this place, it’s my favorite bagel shop in Boston. I used to go here for breakfast everyday and still would if it were still convenient for work. Now I go as frequent as possible, which is sadly only once a week. The bagels are so yummy and fresh. They have a good variety of bagel and cream cheese options so you can switch it up or find your favorite combination. They have a daily bagel which is so fun, my personal favorite is the cheddar jalapeño bagel available Monday and Friday with chive cream cheese. Their coffee is also strong and very hot, which is a plus. I’ve tried their cold brew today which is also pretty good. If you bring your own cup they’ll even give you a cookie! Their baked goods are always great and have a rotation of options (sometimes even seasonal!), my favorite are the homemade pop tarts. While the food is fantastic, the staff has always been my favorite experience here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and is the driving factor that brings me back each week. Happen to be in the area and popped in for a bagel. The pumpernickel bagel itself was fantastic. The deviled egg salad was overall good but heavier on the chives. Wish you could buy the little sugar cookies! Didn't get to try their drinks but would stop by again for their coffee and to try another type of breakfast bagel.

I come here often for the bagels and the drinks. I came to Rebelle even when I lived in Rhode Island so I was really happy when I moved up here to still have it. I love that they offer a BYOC (bring your own cup) option. I have a few of their cups and I like that I can reuse. I came today because they announced on their IG a new summer drink, blueberry basil lemonade, so I had to stop by and grab an egg bagel while I was at it. Not a lot of places in Boston do an egg bagel and it’s always been one of my favorites. I got it with the honey fleur de sel cream cheese. If you’re looking for a good bev and bagel situation, stop by. They have some seating, and WiFi so you could sit down for a bit and work while you eat.

This place is incredible and a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. I live within walking distance and stop by 2-3 times per week. All of the cream cheese spreads are terrific...the Mexican corn and chive flavors are my absolute favorites, and the pickles and pickled vegetables are some of the best I've ever had anywhere! The cheddar jalapeno bagels are quite unique and tasty, and the egg bagels are delicious! To top things off the blueberry pop tarts and oatmeal cookies are awesome. I've been officially spoiled by this place, and I strongly recommend that you visit as often as possible--you will not be sorry!

When bagel shops first open in Boston and Cambridge, they usually attract a lot of hype. Even mediocre spots like Brooklyn Bagel Factory had long lines when they first opened. However, during my past few visits to Rebelle, I didn’t see any lines. This Providence transplant hasn’t gained a good reputation among the locals, and the owner's unpopularity on social media and online forums seemed to be the biggest factor. At Rebelle, owner Milena is strict about how to enjoy her bagels—R&D only, no toasting. She's quite adamant about preserving the air pockets in her freshly-baked bagels, which theoretically gives them a better texture and density. While I respect her dedication to bagel perfection, I have to admit, I prefer to enjoy them in sandwich form for convenience. Sometimes, you just need a bagel that’s more grab-and-go. During my past few visits, I usually arrived around opening time, and there was always a limited selection of bagels—typically just 3-4 options, with flavors varying by the day. Some of my favorite sandwiches and combos included the pretzel bagel with Honey Fleur de Sel cream cheese, the Lox sandwich, and the BLT Squared sandwich. The bagels here are on the smaller side, but they still have a satisfying chewiness and density. However, because of their size, one sandwich usually isn’t enough to fill me up, which makes me question if it’s worth the price. Really hoped that Rebelle would become my reliable go-to spot for bagel sandwiches in Cambridge. Their sandwiches are good, but perhaps not the best value. Might return to try their smoked fish sandwiches, but for now, I’ll likely look elsewhere to satisfy my bagel cravings.

We tried a few of their signature dishes—all served with a smoky lid reveal, which added a nice dramatic touch when opened at the table. The yuzu sesame ramen was light, aromatic, and refreshing—great if you're in the mood for something delicate. The truffle salt ramen was creamy with a solid umami kick. My favourite was definitely the red hot miso—it brought the perfect level of spice and comfort. We also had the spicy avocado sushi, which turned out to be surprisingly delicious. While the food impressed us, the overall experience was frustrating. There were four of us, but they insisted we order four separate dishes just to be seated. One person in our group didn’t want ramen or sushi, yet we were still forced to order something. Later, when only three forks were being used, the chef kept watching us, clearly checking who wasn’t eating. It felt invasive and honestly a bit shameful. The atmosphere was otherwise decent, but that rigid service attitude spoiled what could have been a great dining experience. I’d consider going back just for the red hot miso—but not with a group.

RedWhite Boneless Ramen is a great plant-based Japanese ramen and sushi shop in the Back Bay. We stumbled upon RedWhite during the October rainy season and it offered warm comfort food. We ordered two ramen bowls. The No. 5 Yuzu sesame ramen had a delicious broth that combined well with the yuzu, garlic oil and sesame. The fresh corn, arugula, and sprouts balanced out the fried onions and soboro (soy meat and tofu). The No. 7 Japanese curry ramen used similar toppings to the No. 5, except for the light, subtle curry flavoring in the broth. For sushi, we had the spicy roasted miso avocado roll. The topping of sesame seeds, onion chips, chili oil, and miso was tasty on the avocado, but the rice seemed a bit mushy/dense, which slightly impacted the texture. The overall experience was positive, though the counter service felt strictly standard. Given the rainy, cool evening and that it was close to closing time, the kitchen felt a little off its game. I wish the staff had shared a bit more about the food sources and preparation methods. Overall, a great place for grabbing a hearty bowl of vegetarian ramen and a sushi roll.

10/10 would recommend. This place has logistics figured out. They take care of seating really efficiently, so it's not a place where you'd stay for 2 hrs, but that's completely fine with me. It also means there's not a super long wait, even when it's super busy. The food was fantastic and actually quite a large portion. I had the sesame ramen, my friend the Japanese curry one, I personally thought mine was a lot better, but I love sesame anything and that's obviously very subjective.

For our main courses, we ordered a variety of dishes: the Yuzu Sesame, Japanese Curry, and the Red Hot Miso. Each dish was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to creating awesome vegan food. The service was prompt and efficient, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. The cozy setting of the restaurant added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. We left feeling satisfied and impressed. ​Red White Boneless Ramen is a must-visit for anyone in the area, whether you're a vegan or simply looking for a delicious and cozy dining spot. Love their Red Hot Miso and always get spicy - highly recommend for the magic it does to your senses. Very disappointed however with how they control what people choose to order. Not everyone might want to order something just because they’re accompanying you to a restaurant.

Nothing beats their Japanese Curry ramen. Don't let their menu deter you if you're not vegan- otherwise you'd be missing out on incredible flavor and quality ramen. Their style of takeout is packaged very well, but dining-in is the best way to experience this ramen.

I'm not vegan, but we felt like ramen and this was close by. It was very good. Rich flavors and beautiful presentation. I enjoyed it so much more than I expected. The place was had a chill ambience and really kind service. Definitely a great experience.

We tried this mom and pop stall for the first time after hearing good things about their food. Service was good. We ordered the steamed shumai, agedashi tofu, pork katsu curry, chicken teriyaki, and tofu curry and were served fairly quickly. The food was well cooked in general, especially the katsu, however, the flavor of the curries were not to our liking. It tasted more oniony and lacked the umami of any curry flavor. The portions were small, especially the steamed shumai. There were only four tiny shumais in the order and a few slices of tofu in the veggie curry. We really wanted to like the food more because of the cute older couple that run this stall but the food was just fine and pricey.

Good small place for a special cutlet taste. Two old couple working this place and the taste is honestly not bad for the price they charged. We order the curry with fried pork cutlet and shrimp tempura udon which both are good.

This is a small, home-style Japanese place. The dining experience here is unique. Food is very good.

I highly recommend this place! The udon place next door is also great but usually has a very long line waiting to be seated. This place offers a good selection of Japanese cuisine including curry, noodles, tempura etc. It also has a very cozy feeling. The staff are very friendly too.

Love this little Japanese family eatery! The atmosphere is so friendly and feels like being fed yummy food by lovely Japanese family. The Tempura is fresh and delicious! The presentation is also really beautiful and just like shown on the picture! The lady was very nice to give us two bowls of miso soup since I was going to share a combo meal with my kid. This place is a wonderful diner that feeds you yummy food with great attention and care! I will come back and strongly recommend!!

Reminded me of mom's Japanese food. Very lowkey, nothing too surprising. Honestly, felt like eating from a time capsule of the past. Felt like a very Somerville small restaurant vibes. I paid $26 for this.

The cutest restaurant in Porter Square! If my math is correct, Tampopo is celebrating 30 years at porter square, so they must be doing something right. I ordered the tempura combo and was very impressed with what I got. The tempura was light and crispy and the rice was perfectly cooked (some very old comments mention mushy rice but I can say that my rice was cooked to perfection). When dining in here, you must realize that it is only being run by 2 people, so you may wait a while to get your food as they fill takeout orders; but the food is well worth the wait!

They made the best agedashi tofu. Its always been hard for me to find a good agedashi tofu cause some places fry it too much, or sauce isn't good- but here they had it perfect. I also had their seaweed salad and pork curry with rice, which were both delicious. Staff was friendly and prices are good. I'd definitely go back!

Pretty cheap Japanese place with descent food. We ordered the Yakisoba and a rice bowl. They came with miss soup which was waaaay too salty. Aside from that the main dishes were so good! Good place for a quick lunch in Cambridge

Cozy and small restaurant truthfully Japanese! The tempura is amazing with miso soup and salad! The udon soup is also super tasty and they have some teas and other combo options for a low price

I absolutely love this place. I've gone dozens of times and tried everything from the various udon soups (sansai, wild vegetable, is best!) to the dinner sets (so far I love the mackerel best!). The curries are particularly nice, but the rice is always a bit soggy. Recently I tried the hamburger dinner set and it was PERFECT. It comes with potato curry croquettes, delicious crispy... i don't know whats... filled with shrimp and seaweed, soup, rice, salad, AND seaweed salad. A++. I also love the service, but I have to deduct one star because I really hate seaweed in soups (don't know why! Love it in other things) and every other time I go, they give it to me with the seaweed even when I specify not to. They also have messed up a few other special requests, none of which are particularly daunting like asking for no sauce on top of Takoyaki.

Ittyo was great -- I had a very unique udon noodle soup with curry and chicken that was incredibly flavorful. Like the other restaurants in the mini japan Porter Exchange mall, seating is limited, but the service is fast and friendly.

This is probably my most frequent stop out of all the places at Porter Exchange - maybe because I'm almost always in the mood for a ridiculously large and delicious bento box! I've had an almost identical box down the hall at Chocho's, and Chocho's version paled in comparison to Ittyo's, where everything was fresh and flavorful. If you have room, try the mochi green tea shake. Yum.

Been eating there for years it's a great place for Japanese food. Although their chefs are no longer Japanese they inherit the taste and favorite. Reminder: they only take cash!

The food is so-so. First, the Salmon Maguro Don was pretty good but I don't think its worth the price for a small portion like that. Second, they mixed tempura flakes with the spicy tuna gyp you with the amount of fish they put in it. You can see on the pictures 50% tempura flakes 50% spicy tuna. And lastly, they used ready made microwavable shrimp tempura in their shrimp tempura roll (most likely from Costco cause I know what it looks like.) Makes me wonder why this place has a good rating when they serve you sushi like this 🤷🏻‍♂️ Edit: I just finished my second spicy tuna roll and that ones even worse. 75% tempura flakes and 25% spicy tuna.

Tora Japanese Restaurant is a small Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Boston's Chinatown, serving sashimi bowls, sushi, and more. The staff were friendly, though it did seem a little hectic at times. There was a bit of confusion when we ordered, but it was resolved quickly and the food was still brought out on time. We got a couple appetizers to start, and ate from their lunch special menu for the meal. We tried their Truffle Sesame Hamachi and the Torched Japanese scallop for appetizers. the Torched Scallop wasn't really that outstanding, it did come with some garnish but it didn't enhance the flavor, and was a bit disappointing. The Truffle Hamachi was better, with a pronounced truffle flavor that paired well with the fish. For main meals, we got the Akaebi and Hotate Soba, the Nigiri and Makimono, and the Nishiki Don. The Nishiki Don was good, with the fish pairing well with the rice and coming with good portions. The Akaebi and Hotate Soba was good, with the dipping broth being light, though there wasn't a lot of noodles. The Nigiri and Makimono was good as well, perfect amount for a light lunch, with fresh fish and a nice nigiri roll that had good flavor.

I had a delicious salmon bowl and our roll was so good. Servers were nice! My only thing is that the bench against the wall is not the same height as the chairs across from it and it was a little too high compared to the table so it was uncomfortable. That being said it didn’t bother me that much. I’d definitely come back. Our food was great and a good price

Went here from a tiktok recommendation, this place seems to be more for aesthetics rather than service. We did manage to get seating fast, however it took 15-20 minutes to get our order taken after we asked how to order. We over heard two guest ordering at the front, so we wanted to ask if we order at the front and then sit back down.The hostess got rather upset we asked, but we really didn’t know who was a server and who was a guest. None of the servers were wearing uniform only the people behind the sushi bar. They had hoodies on with no company logo. The servers did not refill waters and it was pretty difficult to get their attention. One of the male servers was actually very attentive he sat us down and had given us an extra item we ordered. Other than that, the service was extremely lacking. Presentation of the food was nice. The sushi quality was decent at best. There is a 90 minute dine in time restriction probably due to the small size of the restaurant. The bathroom was in unpleasant condition, someone had left blood on the floor; it was rather gross. Overall, a sub-standard experience to the average recommendation, that we saw online.

tora is a reliably tasty dining spot, especially if you go during the weekday lunch where they have specials for the price of $15-$17. the food is visually appealing, they have a diverse array of options, and the restaurant is nice, but it does not fall into the extraordinary. my dish was as expected — yummy, yes, but not mindblowing. i would not be willing to pay more than $16 for a meal here.

Tora offers a visually appealing experience in Boston’s Chinatown, but certain aspects fell short during my visit. The fish was slightly warmer than expected, which affected the sense of freshness. While some warmth can be attributed to the rice, the fish itself still felt noticeably too warm. From the counter, I observed sashimi being left out rather than kept chilled when not in use, which gave me some pause. The salmon didn’t stand out in terms of flavor, and while the overall presentation was polished, the taste didn’t quite match the visual appeal. Tora seems to thrive more on its unique concept and visual presentation than on delivering truly exceptional flavor. More style than substance.

I am genuinely impressed about the quality and price of the food. Tora has become one of my favorite places for Japanese food in Boston!

I believe the quality of food was excellent, my only complaints are, One is that it did not have enough meat/protein in the soup. My other complaint would be the soup was too salty for my taste( maybe just for me ) my party admitted to me that their soup was a bit too salty as well Customer Service was excellent atmosphere was good. Location was great. Would I recommend this place? Yes for the price, service and atmosphere excellent.. The food I believe is hit and miss. I’ll give it another try.. I will update soon.

Visiting from San Diego we luckily wandered here from the Boston Tea Party Museum tour and we are thankful we did. Atmosphere extremely inviting and friendly. Appetizers delicious, ramon soup base is some of the best we've had. Noodles seemed extremely fresh. Thank you Andrea and Terrance for helping make our time in Boston memorable!

The curry laksa had a lot of depth of flavor and just the right texture to the egg noodles. I totally recommend it. The smoke shop cocktail had an interesting depth and smokiness but could have had other notes to it. I wish they had a little more mezcal. Everything was a bit pricey, but that's what you get in the Seaport.

chefs kiss for the dumplings in chili oil ! You can’t go wrong, the pork dumplings are delicious and the chili oil is perfectly spiced and the cilantro makes it taste fresh. The curry laksa broth is flavorful, makes even the vegetarian ramen taste so good. The hostess was super friendly and the atmosphere was great ! Will return again until then Bon appetite!

What a phenomenal spot. A plethora of choices in the food & munchies department and an incredibly fun drink menu. Our server Evelyn was thoughtful and knowledgeable!

Overall: 3/5 Food: 3/5 - I got the spicy miso ramen and my friend got the shoyu paitan. We also got the chili dumplings appetizer to share. The ramen taste was alright, but a bit too salty. While the taste of the soup was salty, the flavor profile wasn't that deep, spicy or rich. It honestly just tasted of msg/salt/sodium and the toppings were lacking (no boiled egg in a ramen (?) and barely any other toppings). Value: 3/5 - The total of all the dishes ended up being around $64 which is alright but not something I would come back for or really recommend. Service: 2/5 - Our initial server was friendly but took a long time initially even getting our order or greeting us at the table. The server then let us know that she would no longer be serving our table and that another server would be taking care of our table but the new server did not check up on the table to give water refills or pick up the check once (until we called her to do so). Considering the ramen was very salty, the only service we would want is water refills and this bare minimum was not fulfilled and it took a long time to get our check. I would say the service was pretty disappointing and lacking for a restaurant that was not packed. Overall, I would say the value of this place is not met considering the taste, quality and service that this restaurant offers. The service was slow and subpar and the ramen was underwhelming and salty. I would not recommend or come back !

I was in Boston and I know there are several other spots to get ramen or pho but I decided to eat here for the availability of both. There wasn't really much of a wait to be seated and the staff greeted me well. I ordered the, "In My No Drinking Era" while I waited for the dish I ordered which "Shoyu Paitan." The serving was more than I expected but that's not a complaint. ait was definitely worth the price for what they give you and I left there satisfied and full. I'll definitely be returning.

Extremely extensive vegetarian/vegan selection! And very tasty too. I like the vibe of this place, it’s straightforward but the food is solid and the staff is extremely friendly. Plus the menu is huge (literally covers a wall). Don’t sleep on their vegan wings, or their cheesecake either!! If you are vegan or vegetarian I highly recommend coming here and saying hi to the owner Ruby!

My partner and I love this spot! The food is very flavorful and filling, and the noodles seem to be made with low oil which we like. We’ve had about all the ramen dishes on the menu at this point 🤣 My personal favorite is the cold sesame noodles. His favorite is the tom yum ramen. I liked the leek rice cake today! We also enjoyed Thai iced tea, it wasn’t too sweet for us 😊

The place is great, the atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly and sweet! You definitely feel like they're happy to see you. We had amazing vegan ramen there

What a great addition to the area this place is. First of all, the portions are really big and the prices are fair. But more importantly, everything I’ve ordered has been delicious. The house-made ramen noodles live rent-free in my head now. The menu is really big and there are always rotating specials - I always look forward to going back and trying something new.

Ramen O'Bowl is genuinely my favorite vegan restaurant and favorite vegan ramen The ramen is delicious, comforting, and I love all the appetizers they have too!! The entire menu is amazing and I can't recommend Ramen O'Bowl enough 💕😋🙏 The staff are also so kind and the service is amazing, and the interior decoration is cute and cozy.

5☆: It's sometimes difficult to find flavorful vegan food, but this place does a fabulous job. It's a great stop for lunch or any other meal of the day! You can certainly bring a meat eater here and they won't have much to complain about. Came here for lunch and got the kale salad, Malaysian curry noodles, and mala cold noodles. Everything was fresh, packed with flavor, and very nutritious! The mala noodles are mild, so I will have to ask for authentic spicy next time :) I also had the thai green tea, which was delicious. The service was fantastic as well. The proprietor came and checked on us while ordering and was able to answer questions about nut allergies. They also paid attention to special requests while ordering, I asked for my tea to be lightly sweet, and it came out perfect.

Vegan ramen kitchen near Harvard Square with satisfying ramen and rice bowls. With so many ramen shops around Harvard Square, Ramen O Bowl initially seemed like just another casual addition to the neighborhood. I recently took a visit to check them out, and the setting felt more akin to a vegan cafe than a traditional ramen joint. Given its focus on a limited selection of ramen alongside an array of smoothies and vegan pastries, I initially didn’t have high expectation for their food. Thankfully, both the Malaysian Curry Ramen and Spicy Soy Bowl exceeded my expectations. The Curry Ramen, with its mild coconut milk base and an array of vegan toppings, showcased a depth of umami that is often challenging to achieve in a vegan ramen. The thinly-sliced soy protein, reminiscent of Spam, also added a pleasant level of savoriness to the broth. The real surprise, though, was the Spicy Soy Bowl. Resembling a vegan poke bowl, it excelled in balancing flavors, incorporating pickled vegetables and classic poke toppings to create a dish that was satisfying. While I still hold RedWhite's vegan ramen in high regard as the best in the city, Ramen O Bowl introduces its own unique and intriguing vegan offerings to the mix. Highly recommend giving them a try if you’re looking for casual yet unique vegan food around Harvard Square.

Cool little ramen shop. Only about 4 seats and standing room for another 3-4 people. They do take card. Service was great and the ramen was ready fairly quickly. Unfortunately I found the noodles to be over cooked, the broth to be a little lacking in flavor, and too many pickles. The chashu was tasty and the egg was cooked perfectly. You may enjoy this style of ramen so it’s worth giving a shot (especially for the vegetarian / vegan options).

Delicious ramen!!! This place is a gem, it's way too small to sit more than 10 people at a time, and it has only ramen, poke and donburi. You are sitting practically next to the owner while she is preparing the food and the service was very friendly. We tried the donburi with beef and it was very good but the ramen was something else. I loved the tonkotsu, (savory flavor with many spices and a kick of ginger) but I would return to try the truffle ramen. There is also a vegan option which was delicious, although a bit too sweet for my taste. Definitely a must try, don't bring a crowd or you will not fit, perfectly cozt for 2 people groups.

Coming in on a chilly weekend, we stumbled on this ramen restaurant near the hotel with low expectations. I tried the Oisa Tonkotsu and the vegetarian ramen with shiitake. Both I had asked for the noodles to be slightly underdone as preference Moe, the chef and owner, was quick to explain that the noodles in the vegetarian ramen were cooked to a specific temperature otherwise can become quickly overcooked. It was doable, but not recommended. I went with her suggestion and wasn't disappointed. I also learnt that the noodles are made with tomatoes, which would explain this familiar taste that wasn't quite just shiitake I tasted throughout the broth. The Oisa Tonkotsu was my favourite however comparatively. Served hot, the broth was flavourful throughout without being too rich, the noodles springy and I loved the tang of the pickled vegetables and ginger. The meat was sliced thin, which I would've preferred more of but the extra soup and noodles I added made up for it. For those with bigger appetites, go this route. Service is quick and efficient, but don't come here if you're in a hurry; the place fills up fast and there's usually a small line. Solid bowl of ramen wrapped in a friendly and cozy atmosphere. I recommend sitting at the bar and chatting with Moe, an absolute joy to chat with. You can tell she is very passionate about the food. I'm coming back the next time I'm in Boston!

Excellent ramen! My shoyu broth is light but still has depth to the taste. The tomato base noodle is also a pleasant surprise to the taste and texture. Would definitely come back to try out more.

We were fan of Oisa when she was running the pop up shop in South Boston. So happy that she opens her own shop. I had the truffle shoyu today although there are many items on the menu that I wanted to try. Will definitely make my way back to the financial district to try more. PS, the waiter is handsome and super chilled (don't let my husband read this). PPS, don't let the line turn you away, table turnover here is pretty quick.

Absolutely lovely but small place. They had the most flavorful and perfect tonkotsu ramen! Perfect portions and seeing the chefs in action made the meal special

So basically I have a story to tell. Long story short, it was amazing. But let me tell my story... It was a very hot day so me and my friends went to the closest Ramen shop nearby. When I entered, I was greeted by some very friendly and hospitable staff. They were very nice and kind. The customers of the shop, especially one named Jack, was very welcoming and cool. It all felt like a family business. I ordered an Oisa Tonkotsu which was $14, and it was definitely worth it. It was of a very high quality and it had a near-perfect texture. I was impressed of how the quality of the Ramen in this shop was very near, or even better than large Ramen businesses. I loved the experience throughout and I fully recommend this shop to Ramen lovers!

This was AMAZING !!! Hands down the best Asian Fusion I have had in some time !! This place is a “self-serve” concept (if you have been to the UK — it’s like Nando’s style). The staff was really nice, she explained everything well (she was conscious about her accent). The turn around time for the food was pretty quick, impressive and delicious. The food was played well and we had no issues whatsoever!!!

It's a local Thai restaurant for fast meal. The lunch menu offers a cheaper appetizer/main dish combo than the a La Carte dinner menu. We ordered PAC C U, Street soup noodles and a chicken fried rice. The soup noodles and chicken fried rice had no surprise, actually too sweet and salty for my taste. But the PAC C U was excellent.

Excellent flavours. Great presentation..... The place is kinda small. I was a tad hesitant at first. We ordered couple of appetizers, one of thier many veg. noodle soups and some tofu over rice. Every single thing was mind-blowing. All the elements looked like they belonged on the plate. For vegetarians, I would highly recommend their Avacado Bun.

Tasty food We ordered the teriyaki chicken with noodles and the beer with avocado and curry For dessert, green tea pancake with ice cream (really good ) . The place is highly recommend and the ambiance is just awesome:)

They are very friendly and appreciative of you choosing to eat there. Not only that but the food is awesome! I have ordered the Street noodle soup as well as a few other soups and it’s my guilty pleasure. Perfectly cooked happy boiled egg, wontons, and delicious broth. I also like the gyoza there.

For $15 I got a huge ramen bowl with tempura shrimp and chips. Almost more than I could eat. Since the menu item had two chilis next to it, I asked them to tone down the spice and they nailed it. Will come here again.

Their food tastes excellent, with a wide variety menu. They pay attention to your specific requests with adding/removing items as well as allergies. They handle the food with care, and sometimes they will give you a small extra treat in your bag such as a bottle of water, cookies, etc. Additionally, they have exceptional customer service and are very amicable. I highly recommend giving them a try if you are contemplating it. I have ordered there about 6 time and have been more than satisfied each time.
