Mediterranean restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Jaffa neighborhood of Ajami, The Old Man and the Sea Restaurant has been a beloved culinary destination since its establishment in 1999 by Younes Ali. This family-run gem offers an inviting atmosphere where diverse cultures converge over delectable Mediterranean cuisine. Diners can indulge in a variety of fresh salads, seafood, and meat dishes, with a standout deal featuring 18 different salads alongside warm pita bread and refreshing lemonade.
The Old Man and the Sea is truly a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The variety of fresh seafood offered was absolutely impressive. Each dish we tried was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The presentation of the food was elegant and inviting. We especially loved the generous spread of small dishes that came with the meal. The service was attentive and efficient throughout the entire evening. Staff members were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Our table was cleared quickly and our needs were promptly met. The atmosphere was vibrant but slightly noisy due to the crowd. Despite the noise, the view and decor created a festive mood. The interior design and lighting gave the place a warm, lively feel. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you enjoy authentic Middle Eastern seafood. The combination of delicious food, great service, and dynamic ambiance is hard to beat. It’s a place I would gladly return to.

🌊 Al Ajouz & Al Bahr Restaurant – Jaffa 🌅 A beautiful restaurant located right on the Jaffa seaside, offering a stunning view that captures the spirit and charm of the city. The meal begins with an amazing free appetizer spread featuring more than 20 kinds of fresh salads, delicious falafel, and creamy hummus. Then comes whatever your heart desires ,from freshly grilled fish to shawarma and other authentic Middle Eastern dishes, each bursting with flavor and tradition. A place that combines beauty, authenticity, and unforgettable taste. Truly a wonderful experience worth repeating! 🌟

Visit: December/2022 2 people for diner The amount (and quality!) of food makes this place unique. PROS: - I’ve seen so much starters before. 20 in total. And they were all on high quality standard; - my friend ordered a lamb grill that was very tasteful; - the lemonade jar is included and also delicious; - the price is totally affordable and worth; - desserts also included CONS: Very noisy

Great food indeed! So fresh and yummy. They provide a variety of salads with any meal as well as fresh lemonade. I got the grilled Salam on and it was great. We also got the clams and calamari in a creamy yummy sauce that was also good. Staff are super quick and efficient. Great view of the Mediterranean Sea 🌊

I ate here on a Monday night based on a recommendation from local colleagues. What an amazing experience we had. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy which meant getting a table was no problem, but given the size of it, I can imagine it would get pretty busy. We got a seat outdoors overlooking the marina as it was a nice barmy evening. As soon as we sat down, we were surprised by a mass delivery of salads, bread and lemonade. Turns out, these are all complimentary if each diner also purchases a main meal. With that said, the price of the salads is very reasonable if that's all you feel like eating. They also replenish the bread and salads as they run out, so it's very easy to fill up before the mains arrive. The mains themselves are delicious and there is a good selection of both meat, veg and seafood options. Personally I went with prawns in cream sauce, which was delicious. My colleague went for the tandoori whole grouper, which easily was enough for all three of us, so he encouraged us all to try some too, and it was spectacular. One thing to note is they don't serve alcohol, but to be fair, the lemonade they do serve is so delicious and refreshing that the lack of beer didn't really matter. All in all, a great dining experience and I would gladly visit again next time I'm in Israel.

It’s been a few years since my last visit and the place grew a lot and is now a huge restaurant right on the port of Jaffa. The design is very impressive too. We arrived just before 1pm and had plenty of room, despite the fact that we did not have an order. Right after we sat down, the staff brought a large variety of salads and bread, and it was delicious. Those was renewed every time we finished something. We each took one main course and those also arrived very fast. I ordered fish and was very pleased the other group party ordered meat lamb chops and record steak and steak fillet and those were just OK. Actually we also got a small syrupy dessert on the house which was nice but very sweet. I have to point out that the place is very clean including the restrooms. Overall we had a nice lunch.
Lihi B — Google review
Food is decent, not amazing - great variety of salads etc that come with the table. However, it was a rather chaotic experience - staff rushing by with plates of food, people everywhere. Saw a waiter drop a bread portion on the floor, and then he picked it up and put it straight back into the service bowl - not acceptable.
Michael B — Google review
The salads were good and plentiful and the waitstaff attentively refreshed them along with the bread maybe five times. I was with a large group and those who ordered fish were mostly happy. Those who ordered meat were largely disappointed. My lamb chops were small and leathery, I would not order them again. There was also some disappointment with the kebabs.

Fine dining restaurant

Restaurant
Shila, a renowned restaurant in Tel Aviv, was founded in 2006 by chef Sharon Cohen. The establishment has become a culinary institution known for its innovative fine dining menu and extensive wine selection. Specializing in Spanish cuisine with a focus on fresh fish and high-quality ingredients, the restaurant reflects Cohen's culinary expertise and passion for the sea.
Hip and busy, Shila was recommended to us as a top tip for a great dinner. The seafood was incredible and went well with the great white wines on selection. A little on the pricey side if you indulge in the wines!
Nathan C — Google review
Exceptional meal. Ordered the prix fixe dinner for 2, with one of the best fresh excellently prepared fish, sea bream, I think, and house bread with 2 terrific dips, tomato and cilantro. Good wine menu and knowledgeable and helpful sommelier. Good service. Happening, full space with good vibes. Definitely top tier status.

Definitely a 5 star. Everything, from the service, to how welcoming the staff were. And than to the food! We didn’t eat any of the meats as the place is known for its sea food. Everything was perfection. The seasoning! Only thing that was good and not great - was the creme brûlée. But it was still pretty good.

When in Tel Aviv, give it a try. It is on the pricy side, yet the city vibes are totally worth it. The food had some highlights, we were dissatisfied and disappointed by one of the seafood dishes. Manager was ontop of it and helped us find a different dish much to our satisfaction. All in all I would still recommend to try it.

Birthday at Shila. If you’d like to eat fish in Tel Aviv this place is number one. My husband booked us a table for 3 persons and we’re with a stroller and 3 months old. At 17 on Saturday there’re few people and we sat outside. Service were amazing, waitress knew all menu and helped us to choose the best dishes. We got 2 main dishes and one from the “in between” section.

Lovely place. Went for lunch. Had a tasty Israeli white wine. Attentive service, beautiful platings, and tasty food! Octopus appetizer, shrimp and gnocchi, and thyme ice cream - all wonderful!
Brain R — Google review
Shila has been at the forefront of the dining scene in Tel Aviv and it is easy to see why it remains one of the top restaurants in Tel-aviv Jaffa. Having tried numerous seafood restaurants, it still takes the lead in excellent fresh cooking with the excellent quality ingredients. A few dishes we asked for weren’t available but I’m not sure if that’s because of supply but the waitress was very good at guiding us towards other great dishes. Shila is a bustling and vibrant restaurant, we sat outside and could watch all the people come in and out and soak up the atmosphere. The food is Mediterranean focussed and we tried a number of seafood dishes: the grilled blue crab was excellent, the beef tartare wrapped in cabbage was unique and delicious, the lobster ravioli was scrumptious and the desserts hit the spot. The complementary chocolate ice cream was a lovely touch. See photos for what we ate. Please try!

An amazing experience! Delicious dishes and extremely high quality food. Absolutely incredible! The crystal shrimp carpaccio was unbelievably good and very unique. One of the best in Tel Aviv restaurants.

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
Mashya is a trendy restaurant located in the Mendeli Street Hotel in Tel Aviv, offering a fusion of Moroccan and Middle Eastern cuisine. Chef Yossi Shitrit's innovative approach to traditional dishes includes using 18 different spices in the legendary bread and presenting it on a tree branch. The menu features inventive, molecular dishes such as shrimp with corn foam and raw tuna topped with molecular aubergine cream.
Genuinely one of the very best meals of my life. One of those meals you come away from not thinking "I'll try that" but with no comprehension of how they did that with that. The mixture of seafood and meat and generally things that should not all be on one plate was genius. But, despite all of the contrasts there remained a consistent theme throughout the food and focus on ingredients. At no point could you be confused about what you were eating, only how they'd managed it. Perfectly matched by excellent service from our waiter, Elad who clearly genuinely cared about the food and our enjoyment of it. Excellent value for money. I can't recommend this highly enough.
Robyn L — Google review
The food is fresh and testy, presented nicely, service is attentive, breads are nice. If considering the food on a chef level category we felt that it didn’t was up to par considering to the price… so was fairly standard dishes. Enjoyable though I can’t say we will return.
Matan N — Google review
-Some of the most interesting and tasty food I've gad so far. Not always done perfectly though -Service is impeccable. We were constantly given attention. We were also given bread refills and some small servings to taste -Rather pricey. Can be mitigated by eating there at noon the "business" dishes Update: Having been a guest at the hotel above the restaurant I can add they serve the best breakfast in Tel Aviv. Exquisite!
אייר ל — Google review
Amazing food! Amazing wine selection! Amazing staff! Amazing ambience. Mediocre desserts. We literally ordered most of the menu and the whole dessert menu. The food itself was amazing. Well balanced, perfectly cooked. The desserts were really disappointing and not interesting. But overall, since everything els was so good. I’ll give it a 5.
Dor — Google review
Mashya is a fantastic place. When you arrive, you’re greeted with a beautiful stone facade welcoming smokers to leave the dining area free of ash trays and the like. Entering into the atrium, there is a sense of spaciousness, a luxury unattended to by Israel’s busy eateries. The place feels special and in some sub-conscious way, this makes the evening feel special. Israel bears a restaurant culture of its own, and here it’s customary for the staff to treat you as a friend. Sometimes this comes at the expense of actual service, but I prefer familiarity to stuffiness. Mashya’s team stands apart from the crowd. They manage to balance familiarity with a far more aloof quality in this scene: professionalism. Here, service coming from a “friend” with a side of a chaser doesn’t mean that you’re waiting fifteen minutes for someone to take an order. The food comes out at the right time, not while you’re eating your previous course and never after you’ve had to remind them of your order. Perhaps this standard is too low, but in a country which cherishes the absolutely mediocre “Shila” as fine dining, this standard feels appropriate. The food leaves little to be desired. The tasting menu is a true tasting, with at minimum 8 different bites, and a proper sequence of vegetables, raw fish, raw meat, bread, cooked fish, cooked meat, and sweets. Mashya takes the classic approach and mates it to a french-fusion menu that holds local sourcing in high regard. The dishes aren’t as adventurous as those in some of the country’s other leading restaurants (perhaps those by Yossi Shitrit or Avi Comforti), but they certainly match or surpass the creativity on display in the popular Machane Yehuda, the celebrity Jaffa Tel Aviv or the highly rated Animar. Where Mashya really shines is in the sauce. Beef tartares and sashimis are wonderfully fresh, but they could’ve remained nothing special, were it not for the phenomenal sauces. The execution matches the ambition and every dish is a success, a quality patrons long for in any restaurant run by the legendary comedian Eyal Shani. Overall, this is a superb spot for an upscale dinner, with a wonderful tasting of small plates that makes special occasions feel truly special. An easy 5/5.
Levi I — Google review
A great restaurant and even more so, a great experience! The service was perfect, the wine was very good and the food was incredible! The design and the overall atmosphere were also great! The portions aren’t too big and it is really expensive (definitely one of the most expensive restaurants in Israel), but if you are looking for a very good dinner and a perfect experience, this is the place for you!
Asaf E — Google review
Nice restaurant staff very attentive our waiter im going to say his name was Ben not sure how to spell his real name but starts with Ben was a great guy and very helpful was knowledgeable about the menu and suggested some great dishes we would definitely recommend the appetiser plate but all the dishes we had we couldn't fault them The sommelier was very good on recommendations and they have a good list of wines we stuck to local wines they were very good Its not cheap but what good restaurants are this is probably one of a few restaurants we will return to on our next visit to Israel thank you team Mashya
Jon K — Google review
Interesting choice of dishes that go well with the wines and cocktails, presented in a beautiful inventive way by a wonderful and caring staff who are eager to make your experience worth the price of the meal. The end bill is high and my only con is this kind of dining experience needs to be in a separate, more elevated dining room without glaring music, next to a bar where people have no shoes. It felt too casual for the price paid for dinner. Standouts to me were the appetizers and deserts. The steak was rare not medium.

Asian restaurant
Restaurant
Taizu is a trendy restaurant in Tel Aviv that offers a unique blend of Southeast Asian street food and specialty cocktails. Chef Yuval Ben Neriah's three-month exploration of East Asian countries inspired the creation of Taizu, which features a mostly seafood menu with dishes like har gow dumplings filled with black tiger shrimp and artichoke.
My fiancé and I came to celebrate our engagement and had a fantastic time. The food was as delicious as it was beautiful. Our waitress Yasmeen was one of the best waiters I’ve experienced. I would definitely recommend dining here (and asking for Yasmeen as your waitress!).
Tzvi S — Google review
We came to celebrate our 25 anniversary. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The waitress explained us about the menu and then offered an option that she will select the dishes for us and it will cost us up to 440 ILS per person. We chose that option and did not regret it. The dishes were delicious and exactly what we were looking for. We had 8 different sharing dishes and that was great.
Raz G — Google review
This is in my opinion the most overpriced and underwhelming restaurant I have been to in Israel. The menu is amateur with repetitions of the same curry powder coconut milk and chilli powder in 4 of the dishes we had. It’s just lame and not creative. The white chocolate (you guessed it) and coconut dessert is seriously disgusting and we had to send it back. Service is ok, not bad or good. The server asked me how much I want to tip him as he held onto the debit machine- this is of course very polite and normal . I enjoy loudly stating the amount of extra money I want to give a server.
V — Google review
We came here for the Saturday lunch set menu and everything was absolutely delicious! Here are some dishes I really recommend: • Bean sheet salad • Fresh green salad • Butcher’s cut steak • Whole fried sea bass (served with fresh lettuce leaves, rice noodles, basil, cilantro, and three sauces – sour, spicy, and sweet. The sour one was my favorite!) • Butter chicken (a bit smaller in size but comes with rice, and the sour cream really elevates the flavors) My sea bass was definitely a highlight — you actually get to build your own wrap: take a lettuce leaf, fill it with noodles, herbs, fish, and dip it in the sauce of your choice. The bite was absolutely divine, a true flavor explosion! My partner really enjoyed the butter chicken, creamy and flavorful, and he highly recommends it as well. Overall, such a wonderful Saturday lunch experience - highly recommended!
Revital S — Google review
Taizu offers an exceptional fine-dining experience with its high-quality, contemporary Southeast Asian cuisine. The menu is built around creative and unique dishes, thoughtfully blending flavors and techniques inspired by the five classical elements. Every plate is meticulously prepared, delivering complex, delicious, and deeply satisfying tastes. The overall experience is elevated by the excellent service, where the staff is knowledgeable and perfectly attentive. While dining at Taizu is not cheap, the superior quality and unique culinary adventure justify the premium price tag.
Zeev F — Google review
Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly and attentive service. I’ve been coming here every few years when visiting Israel, and it’s consistently an excellent experience. Perfect spot for couples or small groups (3–8 people). Our visits usually come out to about 250-350 ₪ per person.

Highly recommended, probably one of the best asian restaurants in Tel Aviv. We had the brunch there, the food was delicious and the portion size was just right. The table service was highly professional as well.

Sarona Market is a bustling indoor marketplace in Tel Aviv, featuring around 90 international vendors offering a wide array of prepared foods and groceries. It has been likened to renowned food markets like La Boqueria in Barcelona, Chelsea Market in New York City, and Borough Market in London.
Wonder and super aesthetic area for all kinds of foods and restaurants! From grocery shops to candy stores to kiosks and to bars! A place for all your kinds of taste buds! Super beautiful too full of decorative nature, wooden flavour of furniture and dim lights ❤️ the visual took me by a heart beat loved entering this building hated to leave it! Full of wonderful people and workers to serve all of your needs ,definitely a place to visit while in tel aviv! Can't believe I never been there before! Got myself noodles from wok to walk and some snacks from sweetime candy world ❤️ can't wait to come again and try the different quazines they over here!

I bring my friend to Tel Aviv so he can feel the vibe and taste of this incredible city. And Sarona market IMHO is a best place to feel it. This is a place to visit from time to time to refuel with energy.

Very nice air-conditioned market. Food variety were aplenty. Perfect place for a hot day to come for lunch/drinks and to do some quick shopping It is conveniently located to Tel Aviv’s train station, and there are major shopping malls nearby as well. There are a lot of parking options around the office buildings (though they are a little bit pricy)
Nahshon — Google review
Contrary to everyone's opinion and the way it looks like when you first arrive, I didn't like it. Yes - great first impression. Good visuals, nice presentation, seems like there is a lot to pick from, but - there isn't. It's extremely expensive and the food is pretty much the same as any street market. I'd rather visit the old city. It's fine if you're near it, and if you can find it, because of constructions and misleading location markers, but don't expect too much and maybe you'll like it better. I expected more variety. Maybe some places were just closed, I don't know. I only had a craft beer that nobody cared to tell me the name of, it was very good.

Sarona Market is a cool place to visit in Tel Aviv. It is a covered market and a meeting hub full of food stores selling meats, cheeses, breads, alcohol and also small eateries with Israel food, Japanese cuisine, pizza, pasta and more. Lovely place to visit and shop or eat. A variety of small shops with specialties. Sarona market is more like a food court. There are food shops and many restaurants inside. The design is contemporary, it is nice and clean. I loved the most the surroundings - small, old houses, parks and everything surrounded by skyscrapers. A great mix of modern and traditional. Little europe in middle of tel aviv. Nice place to hang out with various shops. You can have a drink on a bar, eat delicious deserts and many multiple choices of great street food - some pf them belong to chef restaurants. Must visit when you are exploring tlv. You can easily spend 2 -3 hours here.

In general, this is a beautiful place. I was in Sukkot, so there were a lot of people. I saw a variety of food for everybody, some stores, places to drink, and sweets. I want to come back in calmer days.

Lovely place to visit and shop or eat. A variety of small shops with specialties. Very nice tea shop, eastern sweets shop, tahini and halva place, ice cream factory and many others not vegan, meat and cheese places. Nice surroundings with restored old buildings and a water lily's pond. A lot of modern architectural structures nearby.

This is a must go place for visitors to tel aviv, you have all the Israel food and western cuisine in one place. A good place to dine and experience the food culture of israel and try a wide variety of foods. Like the idea that it's not a restaurant type but with the little food stalls selling their stuff. The price here are cheaper than most of the restaurant there. I like the chicken 🐔 shop that sell roast chicken to spicy wings. There is a seafood stall too and you can select your choice of seafood. There is A vegetarian food and dessert stall as well. Some of the pictures to wet your appetite.

Nestled in a charming Bauhaus building on Rothschild Boulevard, Milgo & Milbar is a celebrated restaurant in Tel Aviv. The establishment offers Mediterranean cuisine, such as sea fish fillet with artichoke hearts, and is known for its stylish ambiance. Chef Moti Titman leads the culinary team with a focus on showcasing local Israeli produce and seafood through vibrant and carefully crafted dishes.
I couldn’t believe how delicious a simple lettuce salad could be! Every leaf was fresh, full of flavor, super crunchy, and the dressing was absolutely divine. And that was just the beginning: dish after dish came out of the kitchen, each one a little culinary masterpiece—unique without being over the top—and so good that people at our table literally let out happy sounds while eating. The service, on the other hand, was as bad as the food was good. But once we lost patience and complained to the shift manager, they apologized, brought us a bottle of wine, and even gave us a discount on the whole meal. Assuming the service was just a one-time slip, this is a restaurant I’d 100% recommend—and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Absolutely incredible experience! We were too busy enjoying the food to take photos, from the heavenly croquettes to the perfect Suzette crêpe, everything was exceptional. The service was just as impressive, friendly, knowledgeable, and spot on with their recommendations. Highly recommended!

One of the best restaurants in Tel Aviv. It survives at a very competitive landscape for a few years for a reason. Everything was very very tasty, at the highest level Israel got to offer. Service was good as well. Make sure you sit inside on the bar that got a few to the open kitchen if you aren't a big party. We enjoyed it a lot and will definitely come back some time in the future.

The last time I visited this place was my third time there, because I liked this place. But something has changed. The prices are higher, the food becomes simplier, we had 5 different dishes, the only dish that really surprised me was a chicken. The rest was pretty usual. The service was unpleasant. Maybe it was just a bad luck and bad not of the waiter, but we felt ourselves like unwanted guests. Pretty average. Price does not match the taste and the service.

Amazing restaurant with incredible food, service and perfect atmosphere. Everything here was 10/10!!! Highly recommended to take the chefs table behind the bar because it amazing to see the kitchen and how all the meals are prepared! Also I have to recommend the fish here it was phenomenal!!

We had heard nothing but good things about Milgo from friends and booked a table to celebrate an important birthday Seating: we were sat at the far edge of the bar almost inside the back of the kitchen with waiters constantly brushing past us as they brought out or returned food. 3 parties who arrived after us and were supposed to be seated next to us immediately complained and refused to sit down. We were in a celebratory mood and didn’t want to spoil the evening complaining but it was a mistake not to mention that those seats as well as the seats next to them should not even be offered to guests paying for a “premium” dining experience Experience: the waitress never checked on us, how the food was, or if we were happy with our experience. She came, threw down plates, and left. No one from the staff acknowledged the birthday we were celebrating mentioned clearly on the online reservation, and in a phone call before arrival. I don’t expect free dessert or VIP treatment, anyone can lie about a birthday as well, but it was a special night for us and the care for the quality of our experience, birthday or not, was nowhere to be seen. Food: The croquettes were great, although quite expensive at almost 40 shekels a person for one bite.. we also got the seafood ziti and egg yolk pasta, both highly recommended by the waitress and they were disappointing. The ziti sauce was so watery it was hard to coat the pasta, and it was quite salty. The yolk pasta sauce was a broken emulsion and the pasta was very chewy. Disappointed in the food quality for such expensive dishes. I’ve always heard such good things about Milgo, and it was only our first time there. Maybe it was one bad experience, or maybe it has just fallen off over time. I also see their staff doesn’t seem to reply or acknowledge low reviews on the platform so maybe they also just don’t care, they have a good name and overall good reviews. I hope the review is helpful and can maybe push them to improve. I personally might try to give it a second chance since I don’t think it’s fair to judge on one experience alone but I won’t be back anytime soon for that chance with how this experience felt and the price I ended up paying (500+ shekels)

One of the best chef restaurant I’ve been to in tel aviv. Every dish was excellent and above all was the service which made the whole meal a good experience. Every dish got out exactly on time and one after the other so we can really enjoyed each dish. Prices are reasonable for a chef restaurant.

Exceptional Dining Experience! We had a fantastic dinner with four delicious starters and two amazing meat mains—steak and filet medallions, both cooked to perfection. The cocktail and fine wine were top-notch, and the dessert was truly unique and unforgettable. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing—elegant, cozy, and inviting. Service was outstanding from start to finish. Highly recommended!

It’s hands down our favorite restaurant in Tel Aviv. My family and I have been here around 20 times already and it keeps surprising us. The most fresh and delicious ingredients you can find. Exceptional service and attention to details. Special thanks to our favorite waiter - Lina 🫶 we’ll be coming here many more times !

Upscale fine dining with good food and service in a comfortable setting. We shared an excellent whole fish with an extra plate for the bones, carcass, a bottle of wine and even had very good tiramisu for dessert. Very enjoyable.

They place is well put together, the atmosphere is great and the service is good. However we were left unsatisfied with the food. We expected more at this price point. We had a decent time, but unfortunately I don't see us coming back.

We got a very bad table, in the aisle next to toilet or some kind of service room. We had to listen to all the talks of the staff going in and out. Also it was very close to there people sitting at the bar, when they started leaving they almost brushed the food from our table. I believe there shouldn't be such tables in places like this. Really spoiled the impression. Besides it the food and the service were very good. But we won't come back.

So I haven’t got any chance to take many photos of the food itself cuz each time some plate put on the table it was finished quickly! No need to say that food was sooo delicious! We went for lunch, the service was terrible! But the food was compensation for sure. Some sneak peek at the desserts that also was super great 😋 After all nice place, maybe it’s better not to come at lunch rush hour 😉

Food is good, but nothing exciting. The raw fish was fresh but boring. Salads were nice but not exciting. Baked fish was amazing, but again, nothing exciting, nothing to go back for. Service was really good and staff were all so so nice! But again, I didn’t fall off my chair, and will go to many other restaurants before going back there. Over all was nice.

HaBasta is a beloved restaurant in Israel, known for its casual and unpretentious atmosphere, accessible fine dining, and consistently excellent quality. Located in the heart of Carmel Market, the restaurant sources almost all of its ingredients from the surrounding stalls, ensuring unrivaled freshness. Chef Eilon Amir creates meticulous market-inspired dishes like black truffle pizza and organ meat delicacies.
Had a delightful meal on Sunday. The staff was accommodating when we asked to sit in a smoke free area. The waitstaff were attentive and considerate, making sure our table was cleared quickly without interruption. The food was amazing. Had the artichoke ravioli... hands down the best thing we had that night. In second place was the sliced tuna with soy. Just enough spice with perfect balance of flavor. The crispy calamari was delicious - I do wish it had been served with a slice of lemon. The dish was rich and needed just a touch of acidity to make it perfect. Don't expect a cheap evening but you can bet on a delicious meal. Can't wait to go back... Hopefully the sweetbreads will be on the menu. Great job!

So we ordered a lot of dishes, the zucchini starter was my favorite starter, though the eggplant one was pretty good too. The pasta was amazing, and the flank steak was delicious but the potatoes had way too much pepper. Overall the food was very good, very pricey but that was expected. At first it took a long time for them to come take our order. Overall great restaurant!

HaBasta (“market stall” in Arabic) is a laid-back, creative Middle Eastern–Mediterranean restaurant tucked beside Shuk HaCarmel. We enjoyed every dish — the okra with fried grape leaves, the beet salad, and the roasted tomato ravioli were all excellent. The service was cordial, and watching the “who’s who” of Tel Aviv stroll in added to the fun, vibrant atmosphere. A great evening and highly recommended!

Amazing food and some of the best service that I have ever encountered at a restaurant! We had the sea bass kabobs - makes me swoon just thinking about them - and salad and ravioli. All served quickly and with a smile. Very pleased!

This is a cozy, unpretentious restaurant situated on a side street a stone's throw away from the bustling Carmel Market. The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes, all of which are based on fresh, locally sourced products, with a strong emphasis on seafood. The crab bourekas that we tried was exceptional, whilst the rest of the dishes were very good. Prices are relatively high, but the place nonetheless offers good value for money.
Raphael S — Google review
I‘ve been to this restaurant many times and each time it is different and in a good way. The menu keeps changing according to the seasonal ingredients and is written each day by hand. All of the dishes are really special and something you probably won’t find in any other restaurant. Yes prices are high but welcome to Tel Aviv - this is the average price for a fine dining experience and in this place you get the value for money. Always very fresh and high quality food, a fantastic time to spend in the heart of the market. If you want good food with an Israeli twist - this is it.
Elaine S — Google review
There’s no such thing as a perfect mea- oh wait. This was absolute perfection. Everything served is fresh from the sea or the market next door, the menu changes according to season and weather, and every ingredient is allowed to truly shine. Some dishes are staples so are usually available, like the wonderful grilled calamari or the salted honey tart (which was indescribably good); others come on and off the menu, like the notorious crab bourekas which we didn’t get to try (sigh). Service was excellent and the alcohol menu is extensive and exciting. I would highly recommend to book a table in advance as the place is usually busy, and it’s definitely not the cheapest meal you’ll have in Tel Aviv. But I guarantee it’s worth it!
Dan Z — Google review
The atmosphere from the market is really nice and the food was excellent, although the portions were rather small for the price. The cocktails were pretty bland, I suggest you order wine from their large selection instead. Overall a great experience, but I'd expect lower prices for a place located in the market. This is not a fine dining restaurant as their name suggests.

OCD TLV is a unique dining experience in Tel Aviv, offering a seasonally adapted set menu created by Chef Raz Rahav and his talented team. With a commitment to sustainability, the restaurant has received accolades for its innovative use of kitchen scraps and produce that would typically go to waste. Seating only 23 guests per evening around the open kitchen, diners can witness the bustling culinary action while enjoying progressive Israeli cooking.
It was really great! ‏We parked in a nearby parking lot two minutes walk from the restaurant. The restaurant itself seats about 20 diners and reservations must be made in advance. ‏The seating is at the bar and in the middle there is the kitchen with all the cooks and you can see their work really beautifully. By the way, you can see that they work clean and tidy. ‏After you sit down, the dishes start flowing. In my opinion, every 10 minutes or less a portion comes out. Small portions at first, then larger portions and desserts of course. With every dish comes an explanation about it. The dishes themselves are very special, many of them consist of a single raw material but in a variety of forms, textures and flavors. ‏We also talked to a few cooks who seem to be waiting for questions and making their time especially for you. ‏Overall, the restaurant is very special, they change the menu every few months. After reservation, you can ask for sutibale menu for you food preferences. ‏expensive but matches what you get so no complaints. ‏We will definitely come back, it was fun, tasty and very interesting.

One of the best chefs in Israel, really innovative and tries to grow the Israeli culinary industry. There is much accuracy, quality and innovation in the food. Still its not good value for money, it's not a Michelin star, not all meals are great, some you even won't like. I hope at some point it will grow more and all the meals will blow my mind, but it's not yet there.

Amazing experience at this unique restaurant. We've been waiting for this order almost an year. But as we tasted the food we knew it was worth waiting. The restaurant designed to only 2 runs per day if I'm not wrong so in every run there is about 20 people. Everyone get the same food at the same time (almost). We asked for Gluten free option as some of the group had allergy, sadly we vegan to but this was to much for them (and I understand, that is reasonable). The food was very special and very delicious. The staff was explaining the food when serving the plates. Great place ,very pricey. Recommended very much !

This was a very interesting and fun experience. Literally food for thought. Most of the dishes were interesting and deep both texture and flavors wise. The service was overall superb, with the cooks also being the ones serving the food. The olive oil jam is the invention of the century. Can’t wait to come again!

Brunch time! This is a less expansive fixed meal that happens once a week. A whole different vibe, whole different dishes, but everything is made to perfection. So many kinds of amazing breads. We also got some fish (great), beef tartar (perfect) and a pork belly dish (best) that was just so good. Beware that this is a very heavy meal with a lot of different dishes, so don't dive into the bread of you don't have the capacity to eat so much. Because if you miss a dish, it is a shame. As usual, the staff is making everything in front of you, and the waiters make great job of making sure that you are well served. In the price of the meal you get mineral water or sparking water, and they have a small but very good selection of wine! So even if you've been here before In the evening service, this is a different animal. If you haven't been here before, this is a great place to start if the prices for the evening are too much for you. Great brunch, great staff, great restaurant. Probably the closest thing to Michelin star worthy restaurant in Israel. Don't miss it

We had an amazing time here! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The entire experience was amazing as each one of the chefs came and explained on the different dishes. The food was extremely unique, delicious and nothing like things we have tried before. I loved the interpretation the made to a few home traditional dishes. Such a great experience!!
E H — Google review
It is an experience, that's for sure. You get a 12 course tasting menu (which changes every 3-4 months) The place is gorgeous and you can watch the chefs prepare and cook everything which is nice and interesting. The service was impeccable. I judge such restaurants by the taste of everything and by how special/unique/exciting the food was. In terms of how special everything was and the new flavors and techniques I tried for the first time, I would give this place 10/10. In terms of how everything tasted - most dishes were incredible (7 dishes out of 12), some were just ok, and a few were awful, unfortunately. For example, we got the beef tongue while our vegetarian friends got a fish, which was inedible becauseit tasted terrible. The last dessert was a chocolate praline, which was also awful. You know how sometimes you get a chocolate praline box from a supermarket as a gift and there are always a few pralines which you hate? This is how we all felt (6 of us). Because of that, I rank the food in terms of taste 7/10. I think overall, this place deserves 4.3/5 or 8.6/10.
Yuval B — Google review
We enjoyed our experience at OCD. Loved the creative concept with the open kitchen and the seating around it, with the chefs serving and explaining the food. There were in the order of 20 different dishes which was plenty, but it felt at times like the restaurant is trying to be too inventive with the dishes. All the dishes were very unique, telling a story about sustainability and centered around fermented food, but weren’t always very tasty. Securing a reservation was a hassle (6 months in advance!) - never seen something like that even in 3-star Michelin restaurants.

Great food and service. Took the recommendation of the waitress on the fish and wasn't disappointed, all very tasty. It came with typical Israeli salads and bread's included which were plentiful, much more than just a typical side salad. Everything was presented really nicely and served quickly. Was able to pay by card and service was optional.

Had a great early dinner. Friendly staff that were helpful when needed, good food (great fish taco), and a nice drink to go with it. What more do we need? We had fish for starters, so we decided to have meat for entree's. The ribs were great. Good sauce, with a bone that pulled right out of the rib. The steak was good. Cooked right, seasoned right, but it wasn't special. We had many like it before and we'll have many more after. It's a safe dish. Not bad at all, but not unique. All in all, a great place for lunch or dinner!

I had the fish with a side dish and a green salad. Honestly, there’s nothing really special about it. The preparation was very basic — just plain and simple. You can find this kind of food in almost any restaurant, maybe even better in some. Nothing memorable, just average.

I ate here my first night in Tel Aviv and was charmed -- the wait staff was lovely and welcoming to a foreigner and the food was delicious. I made it a point to go back the next week and was delighted the waitress remembered me and what drink I wanted. Dinner was tasty as the previous occasion. I then ordered an after dinner drink and shortly later this thug comes up and asks if I have gotten the bill, we need the table. I clearly had drink to finish. I was polite, but told him I'm going to finish my whiskey. Then the same thug came over again saying they need the table. Of course, I'm going to drag this out because they were off the charts rude. Then the thug's thuggish boss came over and said there is someone waiting on the table and more or less told me to piss off. I could not believe the affrontery. If they had told me when I sat down hey we need the table by X time -- OK, that would have been fine. They did not. If they had said, sorry would it be possible for you to finish the drink at the bar, I would have been fine with that as well (in that case they really should throw in something, but anyway it did not happen). Needless to say I did not go back and I urge you not to support these ill-mannered and discourteous people.

So the place is near my house for the last six years but I’ve never been there till yesterday. Well, it was a bad decision not to come till this time. I don’t remember all the names of the dishes we ordered but I know that everything was so good, tasty, super fresh and the flavors combined perfectly! I love places that has a kitchen inside the space of the restaurant, it says a lot of the hygiene of the place in a good way, and it adds a lot to the experience. The temperature of the dishes was good, and it didn’t take much time to bring it to the table since the moment we ordered, although we came in the rush hours. (Thursday between 21:30-23:30). The service was so good by of the staff and specially by our amazing waitress Nataly which make sure by all the way that we will be satisfied. The price was fair - we had 2 cocktails each and we ordered 12 plates for sharings (which is a lot) and we got a bill of 180 Nis for each. So, plz go there! It’s an amazing restaurant which I’m sorry I didn’t get to know before. Sometimes the very good time are just rig he under our nose.

The food is very good. However.. I got my dish a long time after my friends had finished theirs, plus the fish was SUPER dry, and the mash were not great. The service was good until the part they forgot about me and ended up charging me for the really bad dish. I didn't even say anything.. they gave us a free dessert but no one should be charged for a poor dish like the one I got. The starters were great and so were my friends mains and the dessert.

Chef Kimchi's culinary journey includes stints at esteemed restaurants around the world, shaping his innovative approach to gastronomy. The restaurant's menu showcases a range of cooking techniques and inventive flavor pairings, such as pumpkin jam ravioli with foie gras and truffle foam or shrimp burger with yuzu aioli.
I highly recommend this place. We did the tasting menu which was a brilliant choice. The service was impeccable. Waiter was patient and knowledgeable about the dishes. Cocktail was really good. Most similar places make very boring cocktails so it was nice for a change. I think the duck liver alongside the ravioli was the best dish in the tasting menu. Only downside was the steak which tasted nice but was almost well-done (see photo). I would definitely return.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the restaurant. The service was absolutely perfect — attentive, friendly, and professional. Each of us ordered different dishes, including the “chef testing” menu, and everything was both flavorful and beautifully presented. At the end of the meal, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary dessert. It was a thoughtful gesture, and the dessert itself was delicious and memorable.

What a great restaurant and dining experience. We sat at the bar which was nice to have a view to the kitchen and chat with the very friendly bartender. The variety of the menu and portion sizes allow for treating all palates. We highly recommend the gin and tonic tartar which was especially great due to the Wasabi tobiko. The service was excellent, just as the food and drinks were.

I actually never thought I would give such a famous restaurant in the foodies community such a low rating... but besides the environment everything was really lacking. I came here with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday and I was actually very excited but left in mixed feelings. can't understand what the hole bragg was about... The food was lacking flavor I literally went to eat a sandwich on Rothschild after this experience and it was a lot better then this place. Sorry but I will not be returning here.

Very good food (especially the sea food black pizza pizza!) and interesting ingredients. Service was good starting from the hostess, we had a reservation and there was a little holdback so they gave us champagne while we wait as this kind of restaurants should do. Prices are reasonable for a chef restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also nice.

Popina is considered one of the best fine dining experience in Tel Aviv, unfortunately, I did not experience it that way. Some of the food was not good while other was just nothing special. We had the 6 course meal, I had the regular while my girlfriend had the vegan version. In the vegan version, the main dish was just the prior dish iarger scale. The Red Tuna tartar was mainly cucumbers and the fish taste went unnoticed and unfortunately, the souffle desert was so sweet it was inedible. The waiter was wonderful and switched the desert for a lemon pie, which was great. In addition the Pizza was amazing. In conclusion, the experience was ok but I wouldn't recommend, there are better restaurants in the area with better value for money.

Excellent dining experience, atmosphere, service, food, and drinks. I was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar with no reservation, which was almost better than the main floor because of the open kitchen. The veal cheek was delicious and I’m looking forward to returning for a more relaxed meal. Great work Popina team!

Food was good, a bit too sweet but was good. but full of mistakes in service, including mistakes in the bill. needed to wait for the table though we arrived on time, had to move since we're sitting in the middle of a noisy event. We got wine as compensation, but it appeared in bill. Like no one care

Nestled at the Old Tel Aviv Port, the White Pergola is a charming Oriental-style fish restaurant that offers an inviting waterfront dining experience. With a diverse menu featuring fresh seafood, meat options, vegetarian dishes, and even meals for kids, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The ambiance is cozy and perfect for intimate gatherings or small weddings, making it one of Israel's sought-after venues. Diners rave about the expertly cooked fish paired with delightful sauces like asparagus that enhance its flavor.
Everything was so delicious and well cooked. The fish was not dry or over cooked it was perfect. The asparagus sauce they paired with it was also very complimenting to the flavour and texture of the fish. My son loved his fish and chips and everyone at the table enjoyed their fish dishes and salads as well. Great location with tasty food you will not be disappointed by. I recommend this place if you find yourself by the old port of Tel Aviv.

We had a feast here. They have an extensive seafood menu (see pictures). The crab soup is excellent, must order! And the garlic pita are to die for. The waiters were friendly. And the views during sunset near the seaport were quaint.

We tried White Pergola this evening and the food was absolutely beautiful. The flavour was out of this world. Not to mention the atmosphere in the place, it was buzzing. The staff were delightful and provided outstanding service. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely come again.

Excellent and flavorful. Had the meat plate and seafood platter and was not disappointed. The flavors are amazing and you can’t describe them. Mix the different sides with the meat and the flavors are out of this world. The service is great and views of the sunset from here are awesome. It’s a place you have to visit if u are here or passing through.

Definitely its nice restaurant, I decided to visit based on the rating and i didn’t get disappointed Very friendly staff , they warm welcome and serve it . Tried sea food, it was nice .. fish was fresh and properly grilled with hummus and lot of salads 🥗 Service is really good, they are fast . Lot of space available for inside and outside dinning
Mathew A — Google review
I had had tastier and cheaper food. The service was very pleasant, they kept bringing more and more of the salads you receive with the main course. We took the spring chicken and the hamburger which were 89 shekels each, leaving the table with 200 shekels bill, didn't get anything to drink.
Abigail K — Google review
Water side dining at night is always a great experience. A whole grouper, cooked perfectly with all the salads...just delicious.
Robert T — Google review
I really like seafood, and while it does seem that the restaurant uses fresh, high quality products, the end result is not consistent in terms of taste and flavor. The seafood plate arrived a lil' cool with a generic sauce, accompanied by a side dish which actually had a better sauce, while the fish in the oven turned out to be everyone's favorite. The inconsistency continued to the dessert section; stick to the chocolate-y stuff. The staff was generally polite and at times a bit slow, overall it was an a-ok dining experience.

Nestled by the Tel Aviv Port, Yulia TLV is a delightful seafood and Mediterranean restaurant that offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. This spacious eatery features both indoor seating with air conditioning and an inviting outdoor terrace where you can enjoy the refreshing sea breeze while savoring their fresh fish dishes. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, Yulia boasts a menu that highlights seafood as its main attraction, alongside one of the best breakfast offerings in town.
I had a really great experience at Yulia in the Tel Aviv Port and honestly think it deserves 5 stars. The location itself is already a win – right on the water, with a beautiful open view and that unique port atmosphere that feels both lively and relaxing. It’s the kind of place where you can come for lunch or dinner, but also just to sit with a coffee and enjoy the sea breeze. The food was definitely a highlight. We tried both fish and meat dishes and everything came out fresh and nicely cooked. The fish especially stood out – perfectly grilled, tender, and seasoned just right. It felt like the ingredients were really good quality, not overdone, just clean and flavorful. I also appreciated that there are enough options on the menu to make everyone happy without it being overwhelming. One thing I absolutely have to recommend is the affogato. It’s such a simple idea – good espresso poured over ice cream – but here it was done so well. The coffee was rich, the ice cream creamy, and together it just worked beautifully as a dessert. Speaking of coffee, theirs in general was very good, and it makes sense why people mention it in other reviews. The service also made a difference. Everyone we interacted with was polite, attentive, and genuinely friendly without being too much. It gave the whole meal a comfortable, welcoming feeling. All in all, Yulia is the kind of place I’d happily come back to. Tasty food, good coffee, a really nice vibe, and excellent service – highly recommended.

Service was very quick. You definitely pay for the location, but the quality of the food is also on the upper level. Nice wines, good fish. Not the biggest menu (which is good, focused), but there should be something for everyone to be found, also for those who don't like fish (like me). Desserts were very good!

The place design is bright and spacious. We came a little earlier but our table was ready for us. Everything we ate was very tasty. The portions are big, even those from a children's menu. We enjoyed very mush eating there. We'll be back and will recommend.

Easy going fish and seafood restaurant at the old Tel Aviv port, just in front of the sea next to the famous boardwalk. This is a super nice place to enjoy a drink feeling the breeze and watching the sunset, or having a nice dinner with fine fish dishes with local touch which provides you with a touch of local flavors with fine dining. The white fish with butter and lemon sauce is amazing and the fried cauliflower is a must. They have a good wine list although it is a bit pricey.

The food is good. Great atmosphere just beside the deck overlooking the sea. The waiters got muddled up 5 times before getting the bill right having us waiting for over 20 minutes.
Yishai F — Google review
Super location on the water’s edge and brilliant staff make for a high class meal here. All the service is top notch and professional, from taking food orders and the serving of wine. It’s always busy and understandably so once you get the food, which is served quickly considering. Presentation is great and the flavours and portion size wonderful. Even if you’re only after a drink there’s seating around the bar which has great service too and worth recommending. Overall it’s a fantastic spot and one of my favourites on the seafront in the city.

Went for a birthday lunch. Ordered a table on the website. We took a table inside, to be in the air conditioner. There is outdoor seating too, which is great. We were 4 adults, ordered special house cocktails, all were perfectly done. Ordered the 2 shrimps dishes, both were fantastic. So was the kebab dish and the plate of small fish fried in a light batter. We took the wild rice salad which was very good and the fish & chips plate that was great. Took desserts that were an art piece each. Go there, the service is wonderful, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is good. It’s worth the price.

Really quality dishes. Not so wide choice, but it is enough. Good wines and other beverages. Expensive. Reservations ahead are required. Nice, and helpful service. Buy there are few things to improve, like do not take a menu from the table when clients ask to leave it. Our waitress was great, but some other workers tried to "help" her. We spent a very good time until the place closure time, but nobody asked us to leave :)

If you're on the hunt for fresh seafood, look no further than Barbunia, a beloved local gem that has been serving up delicious dishes for over three decades. This unpretentious eatery is known for its vibrant atmosphere and eclectic clientele, from fishermen to finance professionals. Upon arrival, diners are treated to an array of at least nine mezze platters and salads that perfectly complement the main course—always a delectable fish dish.
Very informal atmosphere but it carries a lot of the hipster vibe of Tel Aviv. Food was good and not overly expensive, service was friendly but the place feels like a pita shop in a local shuk / market. It really gives a bit the impression that you are eating in the backyard of one of your friend houses. The toilets were not great with a dead cockroach just lying next to it… overall felt very Tel Avivi, good food in a round down atmosphere. I will go back!

I ordered a fillet of fish that was advertised as coming with a side dish, which is why I ordered it. A side was not provided and I was refused any compensation. They lie to their customers. The dish was expensive for what was provided: small piece of fish, it was quite dry, and for not being served with anything but half a lemon. Would not recommend this place at all

Nice food, great fish... Rough but simpatetic service... Short concise and precise about this restaurant. Decent choice of fish and seafood. Nice starters, but simple service and... decoration. Yes... The girls may "trough" the plates to the table, yet they are helpful - seen much, much, worst than that... Yet they are helpful and the food definitely makes worth a visit... So... Decide for your self... After reading recent reviews I decide I would risk a visit... I do not regret it...

Very very disappointed - waiters are incredibly rude, they treated us awfully. They treated local Israelis better and tourists like the dirt under the shoes. If you are not Israeli and tourist visiting abroad, please don’t go there. There are plenty of other restaurants in tel aviv that treat locals and tourists alike really nicely!!!

Every hour very fresh fish and seafood. Natural tastes as “once”. I prefer a whole fish on a pan, just fried. A lot of small salads “ on the house” that we both know included in the price;) The service is loosy thus only ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We had a very bad experience visiting the place. Got fish and my wife took salad. I'm making much better fish at home. Salad was ok. Also we got small dishes with various salads. The waitress didnt say anything. But at the end she told me that because we took only one main course i had to add for small dishes too. Prices for such food are very high.

Laid back cosy restaurant. Fish and seafood menu. You get some salads included but small plates and they are not re-filled as in most places. While we enjoyed the food, the service was very slow and unpleasant. It was very hard to get the waiters attention and they gave the feeling we are bothering them. That spoiled the experience in a way.

Very good experience : - wonderful service with a lot of advices - fresh food : you can literally see the fish on the display. They may also run out of some fishes because of that. The fishes and the sea foods are wonderful in taste and not too oily. - very good salads, free and unlimited refill - a little pricey but worth it

A wonderful place to enjoy excellent non-expensive food, with friendly welcoming service! We each had filleted fish, very soft and tasty. Enjoyed a variety of very fresh salads, served with freshly baked bread. The salads and bread are served to the table as you sit down, as first dish. The fish is coming with baked potatoes and sauces. Coffee is included as part of the meal. Excellent welcoming service. we will certainly come again! The price mentioned down here is WITH a glass of 400cc draft beer. Toda Raba.

Excellent fish restaurant. We came for dinner on a friday night without reservations and had to wait for about 40 minutes, but it was worth the wait. We absolutely enjoyed the salads that were served as starters (which are all refillables), the fish we had ordered as mains was delicious and very fresh. The wine we ordered was very good as well (Rose').You also get at the end coffee or tea on the house which was great. Service was efficient and friendly. Definitely a favorite! Would come back again :)

If You want amazing seafood and great service then this is the spot. Our server was a girl with curly hair and a bit raspy voice and she was absolutely amazing, very helpful and explained us things we had no idea of. We had two starters, shrimp and calamari heads, both were absolutely delicious, very flavorful and juicy. And we also had two massive main dishes we sadly could not finish but they were amazing. Also, their baked potatoes... heavenly.

We celebrated a birthday and it was really a great experience. The food was super delicious and creative, the food presentation was beautiful! The cocktails we chose were very tasty and special. Visited the restaurant upstairs. Great building and really nice atmosphere. The food was amazing! We ended up eating a meal of starters, since they sounded delicious and diverse, which ended up being a good decision. Also, the starters cost like mains anywhere else - another thing to consider. The Kuki San Jacque were heavenly, and so was the shrimp bun (more of a grilled cheese). The duck liver - delicious. Cocktails were really good too. Dessert wise - I would recommend the chocolate nemesis. We found the cheesecake pretty blend, and the semifredo a bit too ambitious. 4 starters, 4 glasses of cocktails, 2 mains + tip - around 330 shekel per person.

It pains me to say, but this experience left much to be desired. The lack of seasoning, flavor and personable service...made this dining out a bit lack luster. Let's start with the good, i was seated quickly and my first course was amazing! I was a little concerned when they didn't have tuna and instead served me palamida (bonitos) fish. But it was well seasoned and buttery, a true delight and I though a sign of what was to come... But alas, not so. My next course the scallops... While Cooked perfectly, lacked seasoning as well as it's sides. The next dish, the shrimp showed promise but again lacked seasoning. I enjoyed the middle east flavor but it was in serious need of Salt! Lol i did like the raisins...not sure if they were fermented or what, they were a nice sour surprise to the dish. Now on to the service. The food came out fast, but i was the only person at the bar and the bartender didn't initiate any convo...i was a little disappointed. Sometimes it's nice to have a little banter in between courses! I didn't even stay for dessert! Which says a lot! Lol. Overall a 3.7 is what I'd rate. Maybe you'll have better luck!

And now the food...there were 4 of us so we got to taste a lot of the starter dishes and they all were so so good. Oasis is a unique eatery centered around a 200-year-old olive tree, where chef Rima Olvera crafts diverse dishes inspired by global destinations. The restaurant, located at the entrance to the City's old port district, offers traditional Israeli and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine using fresh ingredients. While slightly pricier, Oasis competes with vegan restaurants through its artistic and complex meals influenced by global flavors.
First of all, the food was excellent. We were seated at a table next to the kitchen, which allowed us to truly feel the chef’s passion for cooking—it’s clear she takes great pride in her craft. The use of fruits in the dishes added unique and impressive layers of flavor. Every course had its own special touch, whether it was a surprising twist in flavor, an unexpected texture, or an intriguing element you couldn’t quite identify. A particularly charming detail was the decoration with rose petals—it gave each dish a subtle feeling of love and care. I assume the menu changes with the seasons, as the ingredients seemed very fresh and seasonal. I highly recommend the bruschetta as one of the small starters, the risotto and the French Kiss dessert—all were standout dishes. The service was also excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and made us feel well taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and are already looking forward to our next visit!

As others mentioned the prices are high but I would pay these prices gladly for such an incredible experience. Absolutely outstanding!

Probably the best I had in my life and most definitely the best in the past 10 years. My pictures do injustice to the dishes, but all were innovative, generous and with a genius touch of Chef Rima Olvera. Perfect and attentive service from a team well versed with the menu and wines list. Truffles omelet with black caviar, crème fraiche and truffle shavings. Carpaccio of squid with “Salsa Rustica” dressing. Shrimps coated in rice flour with Jasmine leaves, deep fried and served with Japanese Yuzu sauce. An amazing salad of fresh zucchini “ A La Roma” with white truffles oil, lemon and Pecorino cheese. Sashimi of Amberjack (yellowtail) on Macha noodles with Japanese pickles, braised asparagus and Shimeji mushrooms, Koji Miso and Shiso leaves. Braised duck breast smoked with tea, with mandarins glaze, served with deep fried mushrooms and scallion on a puree of potatoes and Buk Choi. Finished with a delicate “naked” Tart Tatin with crème fraiche, raspberries, julienne of green apples and coulis of raspberry. Had some great wine from the list (Sea Horse’ “Underground Kafka 2014” is one to remember).

Finally, a good taco place in Tel Aviv. The prices are really expansive but the tacos are really well made and beautifully crafted. The margarita was just ok (and also really pricey). But if you are looking for good tacos and willing to pay the price, this is the only place I've known in Tel Aviv to actually deliver.

Very special restaurant. Located in the heart of Tel Aviv, with a parking lot 1 minut walking from the restaurant. The place is very beautiful, inside decorated like a Japanese luxury restaurant and outside (the garden area inside the restaurant) is decorated like an oasis in the middle of a noisy town with lot of fresh plants all around you. The vibe is calm and the music not so loud playing calm Goa/Raggae. The dishes were perfectly done and the staff was very helpful in creating a Gluten free and Vegan dishes for us. The restaurant is pricey as expected from this kind of Chef restaurant. In overall this was a great experience and we got very satisfied. Very Recommended place 😁👍😋

Unfortunately a disappointment for me. Service proficiency was mediocare. Wine was poured with a Coravin but it sprayed all over and took over 30 seconds to pour each glass, the waiter ignoring this. Water was refilled only upon request. The first dish - Calamari was uninspiring and plain. The octopus was nice, but nothing special. The courtesy matcha-milk cream shot was actually really interesting. The dessert was not good. I will probably not be coming back for quite a while, if even.

Goocha Ramat Hahayal is a vibrant dining destination that perfectly embodies modern design and a central location in the bustling business district of Ramat Hahayal. This popular restaurant chain, known for its seafood offerings, invites guests to unwind in stylish surroundings, whether indoors or on the terrace. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings or casual outings with friends.
Great food. We had family dinner and ordered 4 of the first course dishes, one of them doubled. Five of the main course dishes and three from the dessert list. I liked every dish I have tested. One of the main dishes was fillet of gilthead fish, It was tasty, gently cooked, but few small bones were found. Other dishes were wonderful. Prices are fair and even low, relative to Tel-Aviv high level restaurants and even for places with much low level of food and service. Very recommended

There were eight of us, seniors, waiting fifteen minutes, outside on the terrace, before we got our pre reserved table inside the restaurant. The place wasn't full. Atmosphere is happy, friendly and noisy. Service is welcoming and willing but not too attentive: French fries (great!) meant to accompany the various beers ordered - arrived at the table after main dishes were already on the table. Waitress asked if we wanted rice or bread as side portion to the (excellent!) spicy tomato shrimps main dish without indicating it's an additional cost. Small things - but shouldn't happen. All of us were very happy with the very good food and the price. Mid way into the meal - a siren was heard and we were ushered coolly to the shelter for the ten minutes necessary: A "normal" ritual in Israel nowadays. By the time we left - the place was already packed. Mind you : At "full house" periods - they limit your time at the table. By the time we arrived there was plenty of paid parking in the nearby "HaNechoshet" parking lot. We may dine here again.

The place is ok, the service ok, the food... is not. Mostly it was ok, BUT- our main dishes were un seasoned, at all. And the Caesars salad "with anchovies" had whole pieces of anchovies. Caesars sauce should include anchovies, but this one was just a bad mayonnaise based or something. And no one wants to chew on whole pieces of anchovies.

Very nice and friendly place fish is definitely the speciality for the chef. Well presented easy to digest from the sea. Prices are nice and descriptions are accurate. Menu in English or russian

The plate we came for-early evening- was missing, others not good enough 3 friends were sharing two dishes - we even didnt' finish because they weren't done well. Waitors not attentive, and leaving us to wait long and then *moving us to a smaller table* because we "passed the time"- after waiting to be sitted later than the time reserved. Will not come back

Great place with a nice atmosphere. Delicious food, especially the sea food section. Will definitely revisit. Cheeseburger was perfect, although the fries were too oily for my taste.

Nestled in the vibrant southern stretch of Ibn Gabirol Street, The Diner by Goocha offers a delightful blend of casual dining and quality cuisine. This charming American-style diner is perfect for those craving a hearty steak, juicy burger, or fresh seafood. With its retro decor, you can choose to relax at the cozy bar or settle into one of the inviting booths—ideal for couples seeking an intimate atmosphere.
This has to be the best ‘diner’ experience i’ve had in Tel Aviv. Great food, amazing garlic bread and seafood dishes and also surprisingly good burgers! Would definitely revisit this place :)

Goocha Diner is a nice reliable place for a good meal. Service is very nice although there is a feeling that the place lacks flexibility regarding special requests, even as minor as serving the side dish in a separate plate. The menu is extensive, divided into different categories such as pasta, chicken, fish and seafood, burgers and so on. The food we ordered was ranging from nice to very good. No parking around the restaurant, but you can find a few parking lots within 3 to 5 minutes of walking.
Ronny O — Google review
The Diner by Goocha offers a refreshing and inviting atmosphere that stands out among the numerous restaurants in Tel Aviv. It's a spacious and clean diner, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends and family. The staff here is incredibly attentive, taking the time to understand individual tastes and even inquiring about allergies, which was a thoughtful touch. As for the food, we started with the crispy calamari, and it was a delightful choice. Cooked to perfection, the calamari had just the right amount of spice and crispiness, making it an excellent appetizer. Moving on to the main courses, we tried the shrimp burger, which had a promising combination of flavors. However, the mix of shrimp and meat didn't entirely mesh, resulting in a score of 7 out of 10. The Entrecote steak “De paris” was a bit of a letdown, unfortunately. The cut was too thin, and the meat felt dry and challenging to chew and swallow. The sauce accompanying it wasn't to my liking, earning it a disappointing score of 4 out of 10. Nevertheless, the staff and manager kindly replaced it with the Entrecote steak with mushrooms. And what a marvelous choice that was! The Entrecote steak with mushrooms turned out to be an absolute delight. Cooked to perfection, the steak was tender, easy to cut, and delightful to savor. The sauce complemented the dish wonderfully, earning it a well-deserved 9 out of 10. In conclusion, I would highly recommend dining at The Diner by Goocha. The pleasant ambiance, helpful staff, and delicious dishes make it a worthwhile experience. While some menu items may not hit the mark, the overall quality and fair prices make this restaurant a great choice for a satisfying meal.

Overall good! Steaks which are a bit pricey arrived cold which was disappointing. The burger was delicious and so was the ravioli. Service was absolutely on spot. Our waiter was adorable and even compensated us with an extra desert due to the stakes incident. The Belgian waffle with banana and salty caramel was a bomb!

Gocha's diner is definitely worth the price. The food is excellent, the restaurant serves a selection of burgers, seafood, meat dishes and perfect desserts. The service is fast and courteous and the price is definitely reasonable. It is best to book a place in advance… The place adheres to the rules of the corona virus. The downside is the dishes come without toppings such as chips and for this you have to pay separately… highly recommended🇮🇱

Lovely place, many different things to eat (seafood, meat, pastas, chicken & more) the atmosphere is just like a regular diner, maybe a bit more fancy ... food served quickly and fresh and the service is nice. Price are average kinda. Gotta try the desserts, really good ones. Can be nice for a couple, family group or even few friends for more of a “bar” experience. Enjoy

Pleasant restaurant near the city center. We had a long wait for a table but were allowed to sit outside and have a drink while waiting. They have a very complete menu and good options. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Unfortunately we froze to death inside as the a/c was really blasting in addition to he ceiling fans; so take a jumper (or a winter coat ;p) of seated indoors. They also have tables outside if you want to, depending on availabilities.

We decided to celebrate my mom’s birthday with a nice breakfast outing. The place looked promising, great location, right near the beach, and hey, we even found parking on a Saturday morning, which felt like a small miracle. That’s about where the miracles ended. When booking the table, we were informed that the entire outdoor area is a smoking zone. Not part of it, not a corner, all of it. Because nothing says “start your morning fresh” like secondhand smoke with your eggs. Since we had a baby with us, the terrace was off-limits, so we had no choice but to book an indoor table. Pity, really, the outside looked lovely, if you don’t mind the ambient cloud of cigarettes. We arrived at 10 AM. The inside? A sauna. Apparently, air conditioning is a post-lunch luxury. They eventually turned it on about an hour into our visit, but by then, the damage was done. Hot air, hot food, and a rising temper. Now, the food. I ordered the Bavarian-style breakfast. A smoked sausage, those you get at Tiv Taam, some bread with an egg, an abused "fried" soggy potato around it, and a general sense of regret. It was easily the most underwhelming meal I’ve had in an Israeli restaurant in five years, and that includes falafel stand near the central bus terminal. Someone in our group had the Israeli breakfast. It was fine in that it technically existed: some canned salad meze dishes, salad, and an omelette. My wife had a mushroom bechamel croque that could generously be described as "unforgettable" she remembered a few hours later with heartburn and an aftertaste of instant broth powder. The only enjoyable item on the table? My beer. Cold, simple, and thankfully not prepared by the kitchen. Service? Let’s call it “low-impact.” It took several rounds of waving, calling, and awkward eye contact just to get someone’s attention. Clearing the table? Same ritual, but slower. I guess they wanted us to savour the disappointment. We didn’t finish our food. Between the heat, the uninspired dishes, and the indifference of the staff, the experience fell flat. To their credit, the view is beautiful. The music was nice, and if you’re just looking to sip a beer and watch the sunset, this place might work. Might. But eat here again? Not a chance. If they ever decide to upgrade the menu, train the staff, and introduce the radical idea of a non-smoking outdoor section, especially when they have another unused deck, I might consider returning. Until then, this was both the first and the last visit.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Jaffa, Urbano is a charming bar-restaurant that perfectly captures the essence of this historic area. With its inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, it's an ideal spot for anyone looking to indulge in delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Guests rave about the exceptional service, often highlighting the kindness and professionalism of the waitstaff. The menu boasts a variety of options including grilled meats, fresh seafood, and delightful vegetarian dishes that cater to all tastes.
We had a great experience! Came here on a hot day for some coffee, ended up eating the fish tartar and artichoke pasta (my sister was happy to see they had plenty of vegetarian and vegan options). The staff were really welcoming and the service was great! The food was really good, and so was the coffee. Definitely exceeded our expectations and feel like we found a hidden gem in Jaffa. Will come back.

We found this place while walking and looking for a place to eat decent food during our visit our visit in Tel Aviv, Jaffa . Our waiter was awesome, very kind and friendly and superb professional. I forgot his name but he was saving money for his university so please be generous with your tips 🤩 I tipped him high for his humbleness. The food is amazing , don’t forget to get hot bread. We ordered some pasta, salad, bread and sweet . Everything and the service was awesome. I guess his name was David 😁

Very good location and that's that. Food isn't that tasty, I wouldn't go there for the second time. Waiter almost spilled my coffee - you can see on the photos. Food is for sure overpriced. If you have other choice better skip this place or order drinks only.

Place looked decent and we hoped in. Food (fish and chips) seamed good but some time later we had stomach problems. I post lots of five stars because I enjoy referencing the best places. Very friendly people here and the food was exceptional. Outdoor dining is a wonderful experience; it's Old Jaffa - layers of history, culture and the bohemian vibe that keeps everything hopping.

Open also in the morning, which is convenient for a breakfast. Though, that morning when I was there, they were out of pastry, so some dishes were not available. The breakfast menu doesn't have a lot of entries, but they have a menu in English. Dishes are overrated. You can pay some 50 shekels for 3 eggs and a piece of bread. But the atmosphere is nice. Maybe it is better to go there in the evening, because they have a large bar and plenty of other stuff.

Perfect beach location, awesome service and delicious food. We went here for breakfast and their freshly bake focaccia is to go for! Good coffee. We went here on Saturday as it was one of the few places open for breakfast and lunch.

Second time here. Not quite recommended for foreigners. VERY GOOD is for food and the location but not service. Afternoon time I went to the place to reserve a table for the dinner at any time the table is available. The first staff is very ignorant and second staff come and said that it is fully book. I went to the hotel (I stay at the Carlton which is very nearby) and ask the reception to help with the reservation in this place. It takes only 2 minutes call and they can make a table at 7pm. I arrive to the restaurant 6.45pm and 60% of the table are not taken. Even when I check it still have a vacant table. Not many staff can help with English ordering. But the food is very good anyway. Local salad with warm bread. Fresh seafood. The mussel, shrimp, and calamari cook perfectly. Pasta is just standard. 20-30mins waiting time so better be here when you are not in hurry.
Kuna P — Google review
A gorgeous spot, totally ruined by the staff: the condescending attitude, misleading menu descriptions, an attempt to produce french-inspired modern cuisine by simply drowning everything in butter. Bouillabaisse-style dish (they call it "fish soup") was the only decent flavour profile. Go for drinks at the bar, view the sunset, but avoid otherwise.$$ ($30 mains)

Nestled in the charming old town of Jaffa, Shabtai Hayafe is a hidden gem that has been delighting seafood lovers for over 35 years. This enchanting eatery, whose name translates to "Shabtay the beauty," truly lives up to its moniker with an inviting atmosphere filled with good music and cheerful patrons. While it doesn't serve traditional Greek fare, Shabtai Hayafe excels in offering fresh fish paired with exquisite ingredients and spices that elevate each dish.
Very good spot — it really feels like an authentic Greek place. The salads were excellent, and they offer free refills as much as you like. The bread was also remarkable — fresh and delicious. We shared the Barbounia fish, which was fresh and tasty. The prices are fair, and a nice bonus is that when you order a main course, all the salads come free. Highly recommended for a relaxed and satisfying meal.

A very pleasant and slightly unusual place. Unusual due to the fact that this is not one whole place, but a couple of small enclosed spaces with a "courtyard" between them. Clean and nice with good staff. My wife and I ordered one large portion of fish for two persons(Locus), a couple pieces of hot bread and two glasses of wine. The fish turned out to be little more expensive than I expected(It was an advice of the waiter, not from the menu), but it was good. We really liked it. P.S.: About photo of their bar, according to the administrator's words, at that moment, the bar was not yet fully ready.

Really lovely food, very fresh and generous portions. But some of the waiters look like they absolutely hate their jobs. Complete disgrace how they are allowed to work in customer service. When asked about wine he just barked some inaudible words. Hence why only 3 stars. Shame, because if they only made a little effort to be nice, would give 5 stars, as food is stunning.

What should have been a nice, tasty Shabbat dinner was ruined by the staff. When we sat down, everything seemed great. They brought out lots of salads and everything was tasty. But then the staff started to ruin the evening for our group of 5. To order anything, had to ask 6 times. Every person of the waitstaff pointing to someone else and saying they couldn’t take the order but it was someone else. The fish came out. 5/6 dishes were very dry. But then the real problem started. The check came and they overcharged us for food we didn’t order. Also, they added an auto gratituity of 12%, but then at the bottom of the bill it said in big letters, “no service included”. A flat out lie to trick unsuspecting customers. And then we waited another 15 minutes with the bill until we figured out you had to go to the other side of the restaurant, an entirely different building to get in line and pay. As we were waiting for the slow line to move, we talked at a normal jovial tone. Some lady decided that we were enjoying ourselves too much and started to shush us like little children. At this pointed, I lost it. After waiting for beers or even to order a drink for 30 minutes, after having to fight and beg someone to even look at us, after being forced to run around and figure out how to pay, I was treated like a child in grade school. AND THEN I REALIZED THE WOMEM WAS A WAITRESS! I asked her why she thought she could shush me? She said that she wanted to make sure the surrounding patrons had an enjoyable time. WHERE WAS THIS CONCERN for patrons the previous 2 hours we spent in the restaurant?! She said it wasn’t rude to shush in Israel, I’ve lived in Israel for 5 years. NEVER have I received this service even in a movie theatre. If you want dry fish and a very rude and inattentive staff, this is your place. Otherwise, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Much better options all around.

Superb othentic Greek restaurant with a bit of East- Mediterranean touch. Amazing atmosphere, very good quality of products and dishes, unique Greek cousin and the owner is the nicest ever! We came, a couple, at Saturday noon (May, no reservations, and there were a place available), the place was almost full, glad buzzy atmosphere, fast and good service. Usually you get 12 small salads with the main course, but it not a muat, and it is amazing! Including hyssop pita bread, going great with the salads. It's really good, not 5 star for me. We enjoyed it a lot :)

The food was pretty good, and one gets a variety of salads to every main course, so we were full having 2 dishes for 3 persons. However, seafood wasn't served properly (no gloves and no special knife for crabs), and the atmosphere lacked style.

Fish Market by Meatos is a Mediterranean restaurant with a focus on high-quality fish and dairy dishes. In the evenings, the restaurant transforms into a lively spot with a DJ and dancing. The setting is stylish yet informal, making it suitable for business lunches or dinners with friends and family.
Lovely place..good food. Very good service. I had good pasta and my friend loved her fish. Reservation. Avoid going there at 14:00. The tables 30 cm apart and so crowded and loud we texted each other over the table.
Maytal S — Google review
I don’t even know where to start. This was, without question, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Tel Aviv—or anywhere. We booked a table for 9 people. Only 8 of us showed up. When we arrived, we immediately told the server. She said it wasn’t a problem. But at the end of the night, the management forced us to pay the 300 shekel minimum for the 9th person—who never came. We had conversations with multiple servers and multiple managers. All of them were aggressive, rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. Their attitude was toxic. They treated us like we were the problem. There was zero empathy, zero logic, and zero accountability. As if that wasn’t enough, one of my guests was pregnant and could barely eat anything on the menu. Obviously, she didn’t drink either. Still—forced to pay the full 300 shekel minimum. No understanding, no flexibility, just a cold “too bad” attitude. To top it off, despite requesting a decent table in advance (knowing it’s never guaranteed but hoping for basic decency), we were given the worst table in the place. On one of the coldest, rainiest nights of the year, we were seated directly by the doors—which stayed wide open the entire evening. We sat there literally shivering in our jackets. My pregnant friend was inhaling everyone’s smoke and freezing the entire time. We begged to be moved. They refused. The restaurant is called Fish Market, but the name is misleading—there’s barely any fish on the menu. The food itself was a 3/10. And sure, the music was nice, but nothing you can’t find at a dozen other places in Tel Aviv with better food, better vibes, and actual customer service. This was supposed to be my birthday dinner. Instead, it was a humiliating, frustrating, and infuriating night for me and my friends. I completely and fully regret choosing this place, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Ever. If you’re reading this and considering going, don’t. Message me—seriously. I’ll personally give you a list of 15 better restaurants in Tel Aviv that actually care about their customers. This place is greedy, money-hungry, and has absolutely no regard for the people dining there. The management’s behavior was disgraceful. It’s honestly shocking that this kind of service is still acceptable in 2025.
Emily S — Google review
Probably my best experience in Israel (for this visit ). If you want to go to a restaurant and feel like you in a middle of a Mediterranean party, that’s the places for you. Friday noon is the best time for that, you will need to reserve places 3-4 weeks a head! The food is great! The service was amazing, we were sitting on the bar!

Café Alma in Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv offers a delightful breakfast tray with a wide variety of fresh salads, cheese, eggs, and more. Their Croque-Monsieur is also highly recommended as the perfect way to start your day. Located near Alma Beach on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, you can enjoy views of ancient buildings in Old Jaffa from this secluded beach.
Great cafe, good coffee, and chill atmosphere. Lots of tables inside/outside and upstairs. Had brunch here — the salmon croissant was amazing. Will be one of my main breakfast stops when I’m in the city.
Stephen H — Google review
It was our first time in Alma cafe, and it was a bit disappointing. We ordered vegan breakfast for too which included lots of things in it and looked super promising. Food was okay, coffee was way below average 😔 they brought us orange juice 🧃 that was not a fresh juice as was said in menu, but waiter was nice enough to change it for carrot as that’s the only juice they squeeze freshly in here (would be nice if he would say it in advance). At the end it was written in Hebrew description of breakfast “konfitoriat tut”, that was missing in English version of menu, when we asked for it we got bread and Nutella..in vegan breakfast.. I mean, not a big deal but small things like that make big difference in an overall impression from a place Atmosphere was rather cold and music on a second floor sounds just like a noise coz of a speaker, maybe it’s nicer to sit outside but not on a hot summer day like now.

When you're in Neve Tzedek, take your time... enjoy it slowly... the food may take a while, but the conversation and the atmosphere make the wait and the delicious meal worthwhile. I can't wait to go back ... I can't wait!

We received a voucher from our hotel for breakfast at this coffee shop and booked a table for 7 people. When we arrived, the table was not ready, and we had to wait almost 40 minutes to get our food. After we finally finished our meal and were leaving, the waiter actually called after us, demanding that we need to leave a tip—even though we were using a hotel voucher. This was very embarrassing and completely unacceptable. When a hotel provides a voucher, it should be clear that tipping is not required, just like at a hotel buffet. Overall, the experience was frustrating, disappointing, and left us with a very negative impression

We wanted to have a real Tel-Aviv experience, but it wasn't pleasant!! We ordered a breakfast for two 135 ILS (plate of food, 2 portions of eggs+ bread, 4 drinks). There was hair in my son's omelette. He almost vomited, it was disgusting. We told the waitress and she said "I'm so sorry we'll bring a new one". She brought a new one, my son felt ok, so he ate the omelette. We ordered 3 lattes+ orange juice that are included. 1. Usually if you made a big mistake like A HAIR IN THE FOOD, at least you ask if guests want something like desert or something to cheer them. No one asked us! 2. The waitress brought a check with 4 drinks for which she wanted us to pay!! But they are included already. She said: oh, sorry, someone thought that you've ordered a bigger portion, I will fix it. So in the end the total price was supposed to be 135 ILS 3. Before I gave her my card she asked : "do you want to give us a tip"? I didn't want to. But, I said 10%, because of the hair. I think that's also too much. If not these bit pleasant situations, it could be a nice place. It's crowded, tables are small, you sit close to other people (nothing new). But, honestly nothing special. The line was about 10-15 minutes before we could sit .

Funny, not funny...we were waiting 45 minutes for our 2 cups of coffee. Asked for water twice but with no result. The waiter asked for a tip and after getting gentle no-answer - just turned on his hills like we were the problem😅 Stars are only for a normal coffee quality.

Bellboy is a vintage-style bar located in Hotel B Berdichevsky, offering an eclectic mix of modern dishes and imaginative cocktails. The bar aims to bring the Prohibition era to the present day with its underground speakeasy vibe, dimly lit ambiance, plush velvet seating, and engraved-wood bar.
After Butler we decided to try Bellboy and we didn’t regret it at all, we came other two times here. The atmosphere is really delicate and the stuff was really welcoming and they knew how a good service is. A special thanks to Sasha for recognizing us every time and Nadav for the outstanding suggestion for the drinks. For the drinks I liked the fact that each of them has a different theme and presentation, so you won’t get bored at all, in fact we tried the whole alcoholic menu 😉. And like in Butler, the food was really tasty, totally try the PB&J ❤️. Again I recommend this place for anyone who want to experience quality and premium experience.

Bellboy Bar is nothing short of spectacular. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels unique and full of character it’s playful, stylish, and vibrant, yet still cozy enough to enjoy a relaxed evening. The service was outstanding: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, with staff who clearly enjoy what they do and make you feel taken care of from start to finish. The food was phenomenal.. beautifully presented, creative, and absolutely delicious. Every bite showed attention to detail and a chef’s touch. The cocktails, of course, were the highlight: imaginative, perfectly balanced, and a true work of art both in taste and presentation. Each drink felt like a memorable experience on its own. Altogether, Bellboy Bar delivered a flawless 5-star visit. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service were all perfect, making this one of the best cocktail bar restaurants I’ve ever been to. Highly recommended, can’t wait to return!

It’s one of the best cocktail bars I have ever been. It has a great decoration, very friendly staff and amazing cocktails. The food was looking good as well but we came after dinner so only tried cocktails. If we had more time in the city, we would go again for sure. Definitely a must visit in Tel Aviv!

Charming bar with great cocktails and wonderful vibe. The food was ok but not the reason to come here. Very special at times a bit over the top cocktails with great service. The place is beautiful with a great dark atmosphere. There's a happy hour until 8, and drinks are half-price. Loved it
Yuval K — Google review
Visited in early June thanks to the positive reviews, which I'm guessing in retrospect were more about the atmosphere than anything else. But if you're after cocktails in which you can actually sense the alcohol - not just the ice and assorted non-edibles - and food portions plentiful enough to justify the price, then either go elsewhere or come here for the 50% happy hour reductions (like we did).
Yehuda Y — Google review
Amazing cocktails with lots of selections, very unique drinks. Food was also delicious, expect small plates and it’s a bit pricey. The staff is super attentive and polite, and their happy hour is 50% off all cocktails from 6-8PM

Been a regular at Bellboy for years. Never disappoints. Cocktails? Amazing. Vibe? 1920s speakeasy done right. Love the hidden Butler Bar + Smoke Room. A great touch. Small menu but food is top-notch. My go-to is the golden liver pâté duck with pepper jam toasties. Service is always superb. Yes, seating can take a bit. But they hand you a bubbly on the house while you wait. Worth it. One of Tel Aviv’s true classics. An actual experience.

Great bar with unique cocktails and vibes. The staff were very knowledgeable and did a great job of recommending different cocktails based on the stage of the evening such as before and during food. Great place to go as a group and try different options. Food is pretty overpriced and on the small side of snacks.

Nestled in the vibrant Levinsky Market, Pimpinella is a charming bar and seafood restaurant that perfectly captures the essence of Mediterranean flavors. With its eclectic decor and lively atmosphere, this spot offers an impressive array of anise-based drinks, including expertly crafted cocktails featuring arak and ouzo—two staples of Mediterranean culture. The menu boasts a delightful selection of fresh seafood dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.
Short version: small place with wonderful food, nice drinks and a great vibe . The seasonal menu is short and to the point, all ingredients seem to be fresh and taste wonderful. I ordered the stuffed grape leaves that came warm straight from the pot- delicious. And the white fish tartar on labane was light and tasty. The cocktails are simple and not pretentious, work great with the food and the vibe. The service was very nice and quick

Really cool little place in a chic neighborhood of Tel Aviv. The service was very friendly and accommodating, excellent music in the background that allowed us to speak comfortably, the fish and chips we got was a perfect dish. Highly recommended
Oded O — Google review
A cute little bar/restaurant spot with amazing fish dishes and wonderful cocktails. I got the green gin cocktail, which was super refreshing and not overpowering. It had a slight taste of anise (which I usually don’t like) but it worked into the drink perfectly. My friend got an arak and pomegranate cocktail which was also super refreshing and tasty. The food was also excellent, we tried the artichoke spread with bread. It had a delicate flavor with a nice touch of sun dried tomatoes and olive oil, and tasty toasted challah. The real star of the show was their fish and chips. I will be coming back for this because it is the best I’ve had in the city by far. It came with a delicious lemon aioli and sweet potato fries and little potato chunks. It worked together absolutely beautifully and highly recommend it. The staff were also super cute and friendly, and the place had a very relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere.

A wonderful restaurant in Florentine that serves delicious arak based cocktails and seafood dishes. I highly recommend the pomgranade cocktail. Roasted cauliflower with tahini sauce is a classic. Ouzo shrimp a little salty for my liking but goes well with the challah bread provided on the side.

Funky place with interesting but unimaginative food. Server was disinterested and aloof and brought salad and entree together. There are so many excellent restaurants nearby. Why does this deserve a 4.5? Go to Suzana or Gaijin or Dallal or … anywhere else.

In the heart of Levinsky market you will find this beautiful bar/restaurant. the atmosphere here is something special.. great music combine with mediterranean food. perfect barbonias, fish and chips, salad and a lot of other seafood. simply a pleasure ! I came there because I heard a couple good review about this place. The menu offers a few options of seafood and I ordered a filet of sea bass. I was waiting for a while and then got a a small portion of fish. The dish was okay nothing special, very small and simple - fish and vegetables, plain combination of flavours. Also, I got a couple of bones in my fish. I expected more from the food for this price (more than 70 sheckels). Maybe this place is better like a bar, the music was great there..

Abie is a culinary hotspot in Tel Aviv, brought to life by the talented chef Asaf Doktor. Known for his innovative approach to Israeli cuisine, Abie offers a structured concept that includes unique dishes like the iconic charcoal kohlrabi with Meiri cheese. The restaurant provides a delightful journey along the Mediterranean coast, making it a must-visit for seafood enthusiasts.
Great value for money! The fishes are fresh and they know how to work with it, everything is local industry. I think it reflects the Israeli, Tel Avivian kitchen very well. The service was very good and exceptional to Tel Aviv (usually the service isn’t so great). I recommend sitting at the Chef’s bar.

I had a great meal at Amie in Tel Aviv with a friend! We started with the watermelon salad, which was light, refreshing, and perfect for a warm day, though it wasn’t very filling. Next, we tried the calamari in olive oil, and it was absolutely delicious—super tender and flavorful, especially with the bread for dipping. For the main, we shared the whole fish, which was perfectly seasoned and so tasty. The restaurant has a lovely indoor/outdoor vibe with lots of string lights, creating a really nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend making a reservation at least a day in advance—it gets busy!
Makhimba S — Google review
This time I'm giving it a 3, but it has the potential to be a 5. The food that we did get was amazing. They just couldn't get the 2 main closed served, and then started making up excuses and lying about it. This exchange took part after we gave up and asked to cancel the order and get the check: Manager: I understand you wanted to cancel. Your orders are ready, I have them right here (one plate in hand) Me: both of them? Manager: em, er, eh, ok, I'll cancel your order.

A delicious journey along the Mediterranean coast with exciting flavors - a must for seafood lovers! Came here for dinner on a rainy day and had a great experience, service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere casual. If anything, the atmosphere was a bit too casual for the culinary experience that this place offers, and a bit more thought could’ve been put into the design of the space. That, however, is my sole complaint. Every dish was delightful and some offered really interesting flavors. Dishes that stood out include the warm sheep’s milk feta, the Little Tunny tartare, and the sea bass schnitzel. The alcohol menu is likewise extensive and the house cocktails are excellent - we loved the turmeric sour! We were too full to have dessert but the options they had sounded yummy, will try next time. In short, a pescatarian’s paradise that will not disappoint!

We had a group of 5 (we made a reservation). We tried maybe 4 or 5 appetizers, 2 or 3 salads, 3 or 4 meals, and 4 desserts. EVERYTHING WAS SOOOOOO GOOD. There was not one dish we didn't enjoy. We had the cucumber gin drink and it was delicious as well. We shared all the food and split the bill, and it cost about $95 American dollars (including 15% tip!). The staff was so friendly, attentive, and suggested excellent dishes. Highly recommend. I will come here every time I am in Israel.
Aleja S — Google review
Great place to have dinner even if you eat healthy and clean and even if you wanna explore some really interesting choices. The place doesn’t have any meat, it is only vegetables, fish and seafood. The octopus was dry and over cooked. But beside that, everything els was really nice and fresh. Totally keep in mind if you’re around and wanna go somewhere that not everyone knows about.
Dor — Google review
Abie is one of 2018's "the-place-to-go" in Tel-Aviv. The location is strange, but the place itself is nice and comfy. The service is great and the menu is seasonal with fish and vegetables only. The food was good and the overall experience was very positive, here are the bottom lines: - entrees and smaller dishes were disappointing - usually in seafood places, they are the highlight of the meal. Here we took the most recommended but none of them left any mark. Underwhelming. - the mains were the highlight of the meal! Great fish, flavorful, perfectly done, the meat of the fish is the star, while the sauce and side are complimentary. That is rare and therefore was a very pleasant surprise. - dessert was cool - the marshmallow was ok, the yogurt with zaatar was a great surprise. - It is not cheap. Almost 300 shekels per person including a drink and dessert for a full meal. It is possible to eat well for a reasonable price, compared to similar fish restaurants.
Lior K — Google review
Abie is an amazing place, awesome vibe, I highly recommend ordering a table upfront for the best seating arrangement. But even if you walk in you will be having a great day! Service is kind, warm, and will explain everything to you. The menu changes everyday to somewhat degree, so many delicious options. Try the things you would never think will be good, you will be happily surprised! It was my 2nd time in Abie and I enjoyed it very much. Great wine selection, great food selection, and everything is so fresh and tasty.

Batshon is a charming seafood haven that prides itself on delivering the freshest fish straight from the ocean to your table. This family-run establishment ensures quality and freshness at reasonable prices, with a menu that changes daily based on what’s caught. Diners can indulge in an array of dishes, including delightful ceviche and tapas-style servings, all designed to highlight the natural flavors of the sea without overwhelming seasoning.
Tasty tapas style serving. Delicious sea food and fresh fish. Enjoy mid day sittings on low chairs in the street. Or at evenings romantic dine. Very popular place.

The seafood is incredibly fresh and delicious, the seasoning and sauces are absolutely perfect. Mind-blowing flavors. A must-try for seafood lovers 🤤❤️ Long wait and a bit pricey, with uncomfortable low seating on crates — but totally worth it!
Elena C — Google review
An unassuming casual seafood restaurant. The dishes were not overly seasoned so you could taste the freshness. I took the ceviche and seafood plate which were both delicious. That said, the prawns were very roughly peeled, which made the mouthfeel weird. Green salad was a sad bowl of greens. There seems to be daily specials that weren’t reflected in the menu, the server didn’t mention it so it might be worth asking. Limited seating, reserve in advance.

Amazing. If you like sea food as much as I do, this is the place you will definitely enjoy. The huge advantage that it's open in Saturday. And not expensive. There we 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kinds) we ordered fried calamari, shrimps, a couple of oysters, 1 bottle of wine, fried locus and seviche. Without tips 400 nis. Nice place with tasty food. Prices are ok, especially during this period of time. Service is nice as well, waiters were on time, were nice and delivered everything on time. We were during shabbat, so flea market was closed. Nearby places were very loud, to the level that we couldn't talk and you can't sit inside, and most of the sitting is outside.
Serge S — Google review
We came here based on a recommendation from a blogger on Instagram… What a terrible place — I really don’t recommend it. It was extremely noisy, with loud music coming from a neighboring restaurant, making it impossible to have a conversation. The prices are ridiculously high, the portions are tiny, and the service is awful and unprofessional. There was some Russian-speaking elderly lady dropping everything from the tray right onto the table in front of us 😡 As for the food — half of the dishes we ordered were tasty, the other half were really bad.The cocktails were heavily watered down) Overall, I’d rate this place a 2 out of 10. We’ll never come back.

Food was good and arrived fast, portions were way too small though. Service left a lot to be desired. We ordered extra chip which never came. The waiter wore filthy clothes and gave off a vibe that he preferred that neither him or us were there. Won't go back, can't recommend 🤷🏼‍♀️

M T — Google review
Went to Captain Hook bar yesterday. The concept is interesting, but the execution left much to be desired. We ordered three dishes in total. We specifically mentioned an issue with raw onions and asked to avoid them if possible. Still, two of the dishes came with onions. The ceviche was served with onions, but to be fair — the waitress replaced it right away once we reminded her. The other dish couldn’t be replaced, even though the menu didn’t mention it contained onions in the first place. The ceviche did include fish, but it was completely overpowered by tomatoes and lemon — it honestly tasted like nothing more than tomato salad. The octopus came with potatoes, drenched in garlic and lemon, and was unfortunately overcooked and quite rubbery — not enjoyable at all. To make things worse, at the end of the meal, there was an uncomfortable push for a tip. Personally, I find that kind of pressure unacceptable, especially when the experience didn’t justify it. It left an even more negative impression and definitely pushed me away from wanting to return. Overall, the idea has potential, but the food, service, and overall attitude need serious improvement.
Dennis M — Google review
The food was fine when we were there, but we both came back with painful stomach aches, heartburn, and felt ill. The older waitress was extremely sweet, but the younger ones were blantley rude and asked for a tip up front (before we even paid). Won't be going back here anytime soon...

Great place to visit in Tel Aviv. The old port transformed into a great shopping and dining area. On Fridays there is a fantastic market with fresh produce and ready to eat food. Lots of coffee shops and sitting areas in the old port area as well with activities for kids.

Great vibe on Fridays. Farmers come and sell their produce. Prices are slightly higher than regular but everything looks nice and fresh. Some of the places offer little tastes to sell their items. Also there’s a good variety of cafes and restaurants around to hang out after shopping. The worst thing here is the car park, you need to spend at least 15 minutes to find a parking spot for your car, so better to go by bike/scooter or bus.

The local white wine recommended by the attentive staff complements the meal beautifully, making for an enjoyable evening. I don’t understand all the poor reviews this restaurant got. The dishes were varied, original, tasty and fresh. Good for sharing. Service was excellent - fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

I want to start with the positive - the service was really good! We were a dissatisfied table and they did everything in their power to better our experience (including grating us a fair discount on the bill). However, this is yet another overpriced very low VFM bar/ restaurant in Tel Aviv. The dishes were OK. Some better than others but very expensive and not worthy of their price. The atmosphere is not pleasant, it's loud with wired music and very smoky inside (from the open kitchen) to the point that you leave the venue with clothes that stink from smoke. Unfortunately, this wasn't a good experience for us.
D B — Google review
The place has potential and could have been a great experience—spacious, well-located, and with decent facilities. However, the presence of numerous cockroaches made it difficult to fully enjoy. Cleanliness is a major concern and should be addressed to improve the overall quality and comfort for visitors.

Great place for dinner! We had a great dinner for 2, and enjoyed the food very much. The waitress was really nice and friendly, and all dishes were tasty. The 2 downsides were the host's attitude and specifically the price of one of the salads (58 NIS for a few pieces of radish and fennel).

Very cool place, the staff is great, friendly and helpful. Lots of Wine selection beside cocktails. The food - small dishes next to the drink, although everything was very tasty, the price not so much 😉
Michal N — Google review
We were 4, including a couple visiting from London. The atmosphere: We sat inside. The music was terribly loud and it was impossible to talk without shouting. In addition, our table was near the kitchen and the cooks were also extremely noisy. The service: Our table was rather small for 4 diners (which was critical due to the number of dishes we ordered). The waitress was not in control of the order and its timing to the table. We had a cocktail each and the first 1 arrived after 2 dishes came out, and only after I reminded her we were waiting for them. The other 3 arrived after 10 more minutes. We also ordered oysters for starters, and they were served after 2 other dishes and after I kindly reminded her that we’re waiting for them. Once we received the oysters, suddenly we received 4 other dishes at the same time. I told the waitress I wanted to make sure the other dishes (sort of the main ones) arrive in a moderate rhythm. The waitress replied “oh, you didn’t say so in the first place, I’ll see whether it’s possible”. For me this sounds unreasonable, as this is something professional waiters should be aware of (especially since the tables are not big enough anyhow). In addition, the waitress was keen to remove the dish plates from the table even though there was sauce left on it (what’s the bread for?…). Food: the food was good but not as expected based on the hype around the restaurant , but in terms of VfM, the dishes were rather small (4-5 bites per dish). We drank Kishor white wine which was very good. Overall we paid ~300 NIS per person for some bites, a bottle of wine and 4 cocktails.

Great location with both indoor and outdoor seating. We didn't have dinner, but went for drinks and dessert. The signature cocktails were either just too sweet or lacked balance (ended up getting an old-fashioned which came out watery). The chocolate mousse dessert was great. There is something missing with the personality of the place - like it has not figured out what it wants to be.

We had a spot on the bar and were enjoying the show of chefs a lot. The waiter gave us a great wine recommendation of a local white which was superb. The food was really nice, especially the octopus was special with a Rösti stick. The dessert was super tasty as well. Sadly we were sitting directly under the AC which made it a bit cold.
