Restaurant
Port Sa'id is a popular gathering place in Tel Aviv, offering Middle Eastern cuisine and cocktails on a spacious terrace. The restaurant, named after the Egyptian city, is a hotspot for new Israeli cuisine and was created by celebrity chef Eyal Shani. With its laid-back sidewalk setting near The Great Synagogue of Tel Aviv, it attracts a lively young crowd drawn to the buzzing atmosphere and delicious Israeli specialties like grilled eggplant and chicken liver.
Came here for dinner and absolutely loved everything we ordered! Jericho beans and the eggplant were our two most favorite dishes. While this is more of a bar that serves food, we thought the food was actually better than in a few much more high-end restaurants we’ve visited. The place is very busy and there was a ~30 minute wait, but once we were seated the food arrived very quickly. Service was good. Our waiter was very friendly and spoke good English. Card payment was no issue.

What can I say, great on all avenues! Small delicious dishes allowed us to enjoy a variety of local tastes, smells and sights, coupled with an amazing wine friendly, welcoming service topped by a chill atmosphere made the night a perfect one Go

The food was phenomenal, but the timing of the courses was not good. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for every request (a napkin never arrived). The service was bad, and the bill was inaccurate and needed corrections twice. Also, the restrooms were out of soap and toilet paper. A disaster for a chef-driven gastro-bar.

A bit disappointed. Restaurant with a great atmosphere, and nice music. The ambiance was great, lot of people and nice sitting outdoors. We waited 40min in a queue (Saturday 3pm) When it comes to food it was nothing special. We have tried: - baked potato - do not recommend - ratatouille - amazing! - courgette with ricotta - light and fresh Overall we felt a bit sick after the food, the prices were high and portions small. I wouldn't come back to eat there however the whole experience was very nice.

Amazing food. Great vibes! It was crowded on a Wednesday at noon — plenty of seats available still, no wait. The food was amazing. I got the eggplant and the okra. They also brought my a dessert on the house.

I had an amazing dining experience at this Israeli restaurant with refined and authentic cuisine. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance. The menu offered a delightful selection of Israeli dishes that truly showcased the richness of the country's culinary heritage. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, delivering an explosion of flavors that left me wanting more. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations and ensuring that my dining experience was top-notch. The restaurant's decor was tastefully done, reflecting the essence of Israeli culture and adding to the overall dining pleasure. In summary, if you're looking for an authentic Israeli dining experience with refined and mouthwatering cuisine, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. It's the perfect spot to explore the vibrant flavors of Israel in a warm and welcoming setting.

first meal in israel was amazing! recommend the tomatoes, so simple, yet addictive and wishing there was more! atmosphere was loud and active, wait time for a table is quite long, as you can tell people just sit around and smoke, but other than that, delicious food

Falafel restaurant
Restaurant
HaKosem is a bustling restaurant known for its shawarma, falafel, and hummus plates. Despite its unassuming appearance, it offers top-notch quality with fresh ingredients imported by Arik Rosenthal himself. The menu features exceptional shawarma, crispy falafel, flavorful hummus and tahini, as well as delectable eggplant dishes and freshly chopped salads.
OMGGG🤤🤤🤤 Hands down to one of the best place for falafel pita and hummus in Tel Aviv. There was a short line when we got there around 2pm on a Tuesday. They were passing free falafel as we were waiting. For a plate of hummus, 2 half pita and a coke we only spent 80 ILS, really good prices in my opinion. I recommend it to anyone
Kiariladyboss — Google review
I love eating here and deliberately wanted to make this restaurant my first stop for shawarma once I landed in TLV back in my first-ever visit to Israel. Very easy service where they handle the long lines efficiently and are helpful behind the counter. Even better quality food and at decent prices. It's nice to sit outside to eat when it's not so hot out.

✨ The creator of this concept has truly mastered Middle Eastern cuisine, adding that unique Israeli touch that makes all the difference. 👏 A big bravo for such an achievement! 🍴 In my opinion, this is simply the best restaurant in Israel—refined, thoughtful, and brilliantly executed. 💡 And if the idea of opening another branch ever comes up, I’d be more than open for business. Not a big fan of falafel, but that’s probably the best one in Tel Aviv. Simple yet delicious menu with all-times Israeli favorites- hummus, falafel, Israeli salad. Both plate and pita serving options are available. Lunch dishes are huge, so it’s ok to share it for two. Pretty busy during lunch hours
Nina V — Google review
Atmosphere: No indoor or closed area in a season that is fairly hot and tables are unsanitized attracts flies and bad odder from full of waste in bins on tables and the dirty dishes in open area. Service: fast bur when you run that fast there will be mistakes , I paid for 1 shawarma in lafa and 1 falafel in pitta bread and another pitta shawarma sapratly yet because of the queue and fast pace ordered he forgot to make the falafel until I mentioned and showed him the ticket. Sometime a bit balance in speed and efficiency is what needed not just speed Service. Food: Shawarma was fantastic. Meat was flavour correctly and meat cooked just right. Falafel was seemed a bit burnt out on the surface but still delicious inside once you pass that burnt darker crisp. Salads and sauces were just right in both dishes .
Yuval M — Google review
The flafel is good, but not sure if worth the hype (and the relatively high price). They did put a lot inside the Pita. The service is pretty bad, they are bot nice, sometimes slow, not always listening.
Shai M — Google review
Some of the best falafel I’ve ever had. Quick service. The schnitzel also got rave reviews!
Jeremy R — Google review
Best possible falafel and humus: delicious, super tasty and always a good sign: lot of locals eat here. You can even feel the taste only from good it smells staying in the queue - yes, usually jt will be a small queue, but it moves fast and you even get some falafel samples on the way. Portions are huge, so I recommend getting the pita one ( which is smaller ) if you’re not really really hungry. I got falafel and humus - being hungry ( only meal of the day ) and I could finish only half. You order at the counter and everything is made in front of you, fresh. Humus will come after 1-2 minutes and you get a ringer to inform you it’s time to check the counter Can also get sauces and pickles salad free of charge from the right side. Definitely recommend, I had the most amazing arabic food ( falafel or humus ) so you must check it out.

Cafe
Kosher grocery store
Kosher restaurant
CafeXoho is a charming cafe located in Tel Aviv, offering a covered patio where patrons can enjoy a variety of juices, coffee, and health-conscious dishes, with vegan options available. Founded by Xoli Ormut-Durbin, who was raised in Hong Kong by Canadian parents, this cozy spot has an eclectic chalkboard menu and a laid-back atmosphere reminiscent of San Francisco's Haight neighborhood. The cafe prides itself on its perfectly roasted coffee beans and international staff.
One of my favourite places in Tel Aviv(but only on weekdays!!). The food and coffee are excellent, and everything is of the highest quality. However, the prices are quite high ,especially those of the drinks(27 shekels for matcha!!). Great vegan options, sweet and savoury. On weekends it tends to be very crowded and the wait might last a long time, which isn't so fun on sunny or rainy days. So I recommend visiting on weekdays when the traffic is much lighter. The service varies between excellent and poor, depends on the waiter. Recommended!!!

Funky kosher dairy menu. Not the usual boring fare. Variety of breakfast options through the day. I enjoyed my quesadillas. My wife had a solid smoked salmon bagel. Beverages were imaginative and great for summer. My espresso tonic was very good. Great vibe. Busy. Sits on the route for the light rail which meant that it was noisy.
Neil G — Google review
Loved the place, very accommodating staff and delicious kosher food. I had their special of the week: eggs on beer bread with a beet spread and cabbage topping. The vibe is inclusive and the menu is super original. Definitely will be heading back! Recommend going before 11am bc it got packed after like 11:30.
Jorge R — Google review
Possibly the worst coffee I’ve had in my life. At first I was disappointed by the small portion. But after my first sip I was glad that I didn’t receive more of this sub par beverage. It was terribly bitter and sour. I went with a good friend and she described her coffee as “literally just trash.” As far as food is concerned, the menu is quite small, which could be seen as a good thing. I ordered the egg and cheese bagel which was fine. Nothing incredible and nothing bad. It was a very small portion with only a single egg and toppings that slide all over the place. I also noticed that most of the tables around me received their orders wrong and received excuses from the wait staff. To summarize, I left Cafe Xoho (what is that name?) rather disappointed and disturbed. It certainly is a very busy and trendy establishment but I don’t understand how my fellow restaurant goers enjoyed their experience. While they drank the liquid that drips out of Tel Aviv air conditioner units that Cafe Xoho is selling off as Lattes and Espresso, I asked my table mate how it is that everyone else seems to be relatively enjoying their meals? At the table next to me, a young American frat type boy commented that it was the best bagel he ever ate. What? Poor boy, are you ok? Are you being starved? Have you being living on the diet of a squirrel or small bird, seeds and nuts? Blink twice if you need help. Of course I understood everything when I saw his hat, a Boston Red Sox SnapBack. Spare his soul for he know not of the might of the pinstripes of our great Yankees, hailing from the new city of York at the head of the Hudson! In short, I would not recommend.
Justin S — Google review
The staff here clearly don’t care about their customers. I placed an order and specifically asked to remove a few items, but they ignored my request. When I complained, they replaced it — with the exact same mistake. After complaining again, nothing changed. On top of that, they automatically added a tip, as if we’re in the U.S. In Israel, tipping is up to the customer — and trust me, this place doesn’t deserve a single shekel with such poor service. What a shame. If you’re visiting Israel or just looking for a café, avoid this location at all costs. There are plenty of better places nearby that actually respect their customers. Also, the prices here are outrageously high compared to other cafés in the area.
Ryan K — Google review
Every morning in Tel Aviv, my wife and I follow the same ritual: coffee at Xoho, on Ben Yehuda Street. Our anchor point, our little piece of order in the chaos. Xoho has two zones — smoking and non-smoking. I smoke, so our choice is obvious. This morning, three empty tables. One in part sun with a single chair; two in the shade, still cluttered with empty cups and crumbs. No one around — just the remains of other people’s breakfasts. As usual, I sit at one of the shaded tables and wait (don’t ask, just wait) for someone to clear it. A waitress approaches. She tells me the table hasn’t been cleaned yet and suggests — no, politely orders — me to sit at the sunny table instead. “I’d rather stay here,” I say. “I can wait. Take your time.” “It’s not a suggestion,” she says. “I demand.” Fine. I get up, waiting for her to clear it. She starts moving around, wiping every table except mine — a perfect little ballet of passive aggression. Then another waitress passes by. I ask, “Excuse me, may I sit here?” “Of course!” she says, smiling, and immediately clears the table for me. I sit down, relieved. Naturally, the first waitress reappears. “See the difference between you and your colleague?” I tell her. “She hurried to help me. You’ve been rude.” She calls me ridiculous. I tell her she’s been horrible. The tone rises a bit, but nothing dramatic. Then the manager appears, serious and defensive. “You can’t speak to my staff like that,” he says. I explain what happened. He doesn’t care. He demands that I apologize. “No,” I reply. “If anyone should apologize, it’s her.” He asks me to leave. Which I do — calmly. If I were him, I’d probably have done the same, out of principle. Still, I can’t help thinking that waitress chose the wrong job. One day, Xoho will figure it out. Pity — it used to be my favorite café.

Amazing breakfast place! Vibrant, lots of people, and music is playing! The staff is attentive ❤️ Food was great as well, fantastic design of the menu - healthy and classical options with an original take on them. Pancakes, granola, bagels! Oat and almond-rice milk available, which is fantastic for us :))
Olga K — Google review
Delicious place for a gluten free, vegetarian or dairy free options. The place is quiet and nice with a self service concept. You order in the front counter and you pick up in the bar. All of their options are delicious and healthy from main courses to beverages. Pick from different milk alternatives and be clear if you want the GF or totally vegan options. Recommended for breakfast at anytime. I had pancakes and bagels at 3 pm.

Mediterranean restaurant
Claro, located in the Sarona district, is a spacious and charming restaurant housed in a historic stone Templar building. The restaurant offers farm-to-table Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on local produce. Chef Ran Shmueli's menu features pan-Mediterranean interpretations, such as oven-roasted whole corn with bacon butter and sour cream aioli. The industrial-chic dining room provides ample seating, while the open kitchen adds to the lively atmosphere.
Great place, loved it! The food was very good and delicious, the staff were super friendly, and welcoming. Seriously I can't think of any issues there, it is expensive yes, but you get what you pay, so much guess it's worth it. Oh also the coffee was amazing at the end.
Barak S — Google review
The food menu is very interesting and apparently based on local products from the Galilee region. The dishes are not generous, and in my opinion, could be more generous. The restaurant doesn't have good acoustics and is somewhat noisy, which in a restaurant of this category and these prices could be more appropriate. The experience was very good, but some details could be improved.
Daniel W — Google review
Superb. The food was fantastic, original, rich in flavors and textured yet perfectly balanced, the presentation of it was wonderful. The service was welcoming and knowledgeable, we recieved great recommendations. Even the dessert was super accurate, extremely tasty mango slices on lightly sweetened yugort cream, looked so simple but was so tasty and accurate. I hope they'll be able to keep that high level.
Ido D — Google review
The host would not let my family sit inside with my kids and only offered seating where people smoked outside even with inside non-smoking tables available. My kids are young and are not ok to sit by smokers. The service and hostesses were very disappointing. They only wanted kids outside in the smoking area. I do not recommend this restaurant.

This is the BEST restaurant in Israel! Amazing space, great vibe and mind blowing food! If there was a Nobel prize for service the restaurant manager Sagi would win it hands down! We ate here 3 times in a week and it was divine each time! 11/10

Extremely great every single time! Amazing and unique seasonal dishes. Such fresh ingredients and delicious food. There is a beautiful outdoor garden area as well as a very chic indoor area. Great atmosphere. A total must.

Great place in the heart of business area. A bit upscale, but with Israeli touch. All times favorites from local cuisine, many vegetarian options. The service is a bit slow, but considering that I was during the lunch hour, the waiting time was reasonable. Reservations are required. Terrace is beautiful, especially in the summer. Highly recommended for a business lunch or even the first date
Nina V — Google review
Amazing. I have to return to this place just so I can try dishes I haven't tried yet. We only had starters which I think is a great idea because you get to taste many delicious things. Nothing was simple and known, so you really get to try new flavors. The waitresses were nice, food arrived quickly and cocktails were great.

Greek restaurant
Restaurant
Greco, located in North Tel Aviv's Azorei Hen, offers an authentic Greek tavern experience with a lively and chaotic Greek atmosphere. The menu features traditional comfort food such as moussakas, grilled souvlaki, hand-rolled dolmades, and tzatziki. Visitors can enjoy fresh and tasty salads, juicy gyro dishes, and refreshing beer while being entertained by buzzing music. The restaurant also provides great service and a Mediterranean Sea view for a memorable dining experience.
Feels very authentically Greek, flavors, dishes, and even small details like clipped paper tablecloths like they often do in restaurants at Greek islands. SUPER fast service, I don’t remember getting food any faster anywhere, it was impressive. Very kind and courteous staff. This place definitely deserves a higher rating
Kate Y — Google review
What a disappointment. Something bad had happened to this once nice place, that now gives you a fast food restaurant feeling with a price of a chef restaurant. We arrived on a Saturday noon time for lunch. Ordered three starters and two main courses and some Ouzo too. Apparently everything must be ordered separately, for extra costs, including if you order Ouzo mixed with soft drinks or MUST add bread if you order their starters (which are basically mostly spreads...). We don't mind pay extra (as we did) - but it gives a bitter taste, especially when the service is awful and the portions are miniature. All the food arrived at once, regardless of order - we didn't have enough time to enjoy it and it got cold. Waiter didn't pay attention to dietary requests and we had to discuss that with her....the chicken was served with inedible parts which was a disappointment. At the end when we were asked about our experience - we actually mentioned it was not what we expected listing the above issues, they silently continued to clean the table and left without even responding. What a shame. Why ask about the service or experience if you don't really mind it care or wish to fix things?
Yossi T — Google review
Ordered souvlaki on takeaway. The order came after an hour and a half, soggy and completely cold. We called them to explain what happened (they should separate the meat from the pita so it doesn't become soggy). They agreed to send another complimentary order. The order never came. Awful service. Disgraceful. The food there is tasty... obviously not takeaway.
Andrej C — Google review
Everything about this place is Greek which is nice. The atmosphere is lively and the service is good but everything else is quite average. Two of our dishes arrived relatively cold to our table and the moussaka lacked flavor. The zucchini fries were a great snack. Generally I would say the dishes are overpriced for what you get.
Dan H — Google review
I'm writing this review as a tourist. I see there's some reviews pointing out that it’s expensive. I agree. But everything is expensive in Tel Aviv in my opinion. The food here is AMAZING. The salads are fresh and tasty. The gyro dishes are tasty and juicy. The beer in the big blue cups are refreshing. The music at night really sets the tone of the Greek place. Service is great and the best part you are eating with the Mediterranean Sea view. At night when it’s cold they have heaters. Highly recommended if you want to have a good time, drinks and food!
David D — Google review
It was okay. Prices, like anywhere else in Israel, are high, the food was good. Main complaints, low value for money, and we ordered a small shrimp dish, which came with 5 small shrimp, that's a joke. Friendly service.
Liron S — Google review
If you are looking for a family place to eat good food with a nice ambiance, a bit out of TLV center, think of this as an option. On weekends, better make a reservation before. Service was kind and fast, and the food quality was very good. Great Uzo and nice desserts. Their garlic spread with home bread is a must. The music was a bit too loud for us...and coming with a person in a wheelchair, was a bit of a challenge to find where we can bring him to this center and we had to clear some people from the way. We most likely try one of their branches again soon...
Gaia F — Google review
Don’t go !!! We were a group of 15, with ages from 9 to 80… three families. We were sat outside which is the first problem, only half of the table got the air from the fans. The other half of the table had to suffer. The food was mainly average, Not the most tasty grilled food you can have in Israel, And the kebabs I ordered were raw inside and had to be returned. But the biggest problem was the service, The waiter forgot many of our dishes and so when they didn’t arrive with everyone else else’s so some of our group got their main course 30 to 40 minutes after everyone else. Even soft drinks and water took 20 minutes and repeated request to arrive. Tables were not cleared properly in between courses, You have to ask for every little thing like, clearing plates, for extra napkins… To summarise, The service was absolutely terrible and pretty much ruined my evening. The food wasn’t much better. We will never go to another Greco again!

Pizza restaurant
Neapolitan restaurant
Pizza Takeout
Nestled on the vibrant Bograshov Street in downtown Tel Aviv, Hapizza has been a beloved pizza destination since its inception in 2007. This bustling eatery is renowned for its Neapolitan-style pizzas, crafted right before your eyes in an open kitchen where chefs skillfully toss dough. The menu features a delightful array of vegetarian pizzas, homemade pasta, and fresh salads, ensuring there's something for everyone.
The place isn’t the best because you can’t compare it to any other pizza store, it has its own league. Pizza Tartuffo and pizza house were excellent, the service did their best (it was busy as hell) but as soon as you sit down you know why. Just be careful sitting at the bar because the guys know how to handle dough and your wife will notice…
Albert A — Google review
We had one of their pizzas along with pasta and salad. The pizza was good but not very flavorful (if you like to have spices in your food, this place isn't it); the pizza crust was AMAZING which is why I still gave 5*. The pasta and salad were very good. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.
Joelle M — Google review
הפיצה is one of the best pizzas in Tel Aviv! Pizza 🍕 Their pizzas are not very thick, they have a few delicious ones and we specially like the Tartufo. Their service is mostly very good and pizzas comes relatively quickly. Major downside is that it’s next to a street where cars beep a lot. Their soups are also excellent.
Steve B — Google review
I needed a quick dinner and searched for nearby pizza, the reviews on this place were pretty spot on! I only waited for my cheese pizza for about 10 minute so. Just a heads up there is no meet for the pizza for those non locals like myself who didn’t know this. The pizza was very yummy, although not much sauce. I asked for a extra mozzarella on the pizza pictured.

Always very busy. Good food and service. One of the better pizzas in Israel. Basil should not be baked with the pizza. It should go fresh on it after baking. It is worth going there but not if you have to wait more than 10 min.

Vegan restaurant
Cafe
Anastasia is a popular vegan eatery located in the lively Dizengoff area of Tel Aviv. The light-filled restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor terrace seating, creating a welcoming atmosphere for diners. The menu features a variety of plant-based options including vegan sandwiches, salads, pastas, and desserts. One of the highlights is the indulgent Israeli breakfast which includes a chickpea omelet and almond cheeses as substitutes for traditional egg dishes and dairy products.
Good food. Relaxed ambience. Nice service. I brought here a guest from France and he and I really enjoyed the experience. Get your reservation in early. The onion pie was delicious! I highly recommend it. The service was friendly and courteous. The outdoor seating area is comfortable and fantastic on a good evening. They also offer all sorts of vegan goodies for sale at the counter. The bathroom are clean and tidy. I would recommend that the management improve access for the disabled.

I ate there in several occasions as well as ordered take away to work. There wasn't one time that the food felt fresh, and all in all they don't match the standard of other restaurants (especially vegan ones) in Tel Aviv :/ It's a shame because the dishes sound great, but in reality what u get is kinda disappointing.

All vegan menu, creative dishes, great atmosphere and service. The cheese platter is so tasty, some of the cheese are tastier than dairy cheese (the pecan Bree is AMAZING). All ingredients were fresh and it seemed like the chefs put a lot of creative thought into building the perfect, well rounded dishes. Highly recommend even if you are not vegan at all! This is a great vegan restaurant with relaxed atmosphere and unpretentious service. It has a small dining room, an enclosed patio and an outdoors one. There are 5 stairs leading to the front door. Service was very accommodating. We requested a table by the window (that was not available when we arrived) and were moved once o e became available. The various dishes were of high quality, tasted great and were visually attractive. No customer was hurried to leave after their meal even when they were busy. A very satisfying and enjoyable meal. They also have shelving with various foods for takeout (see photos).

On a short visit to Israel, my daughter and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Anastasia. Food was excellent, service was very friendly and prices were comparable to most other vegan restaurants we visited during this trip. They were very busy at 10pm and we had to wait a while for a table, reservations are advised. Highly recommended.

So far, my favourite vegan restaurant. It’s located in a main area. The menu is completely vegan and also offers gluten free options. They have quite a large variety of delicious food. The soba salad is especially good. The dishes are a bit overpriced, but not exceptional compared to other restaurants in Tel Aviv.

Amazing food, vegan done right, fresh ingredients cooked perfectly, with just the right balance of flavors. They have a vegan cheese plate that's just perfect. And a vegan cheese cake that is simply one of the best cheese cakes I've ever eaten, vegan or not... So I highly recommend this place, also the waters are lovely, and were very helpful with suggestions on what to pick. 🧀 🍰

Restaurant
Ouzeria is a vibrant Mediterranean restaurant located in Tel Aviv's trendy Florentin neighborhood. The warm, brick-lined space with a bar offers a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy classic Mediterranean fare. Chef Avivit Priel Avichai draws inspiration from Greece's small Ouzerias to create unique adaptations of traditional Greek and Mediterranean cuisines. The menu features dishes made on the spot and served as ready, accompanied by alcohol and music for a lively dining experience.
Wow. Great food. Really beautiful cooking. I liked the eggplant as a stater, the bread was on point. I feel that the spicy source plate I took should have been served as a part of the deal though. I would go there again! So should you. My wife said it was a pleasant evening (!)
Rotem S — Google review
Ouzeria is a fantastic spot for a memorable meal. The food was absolutely delicious, earning a full five stars — every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was also very good; the staff was attentive and friendly, although there were moments when we had to wait a little longer than expected. The atmosphere was vibrant and pleasant, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the evening. Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely a place I would recommend to others!
Misha S — Google review
Lots of potential in this place. Service was friendly and relaxed, tables outside on a sunny day where lovely. The cauliflower, aubergine carpaccio, veal sweetbread and chicken souvlaki were good. Portions are quite small for the price. The beetroot ravioli was quite bland and disappointing. Overall good but just expensive for the portion sizes.
Bee K — Google review
Had a private dinner at Ouzeria next door. Everything was absolutely perfect!! The More Foods vegan dish was the favorite of the night, a plant based protein made from pumpkin and sunflower seeds! Very cool!
Kayla B — Google review
I came across Ouzeria from Bloomberg's list of best restaurants in Tel Aviv. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere is hip and laid back just like its surrounding neighborhood. The food is here eclectic and playful and drew a large influence from Spain. Most dishes are like tapas and meant to be shared, while some dishes had a Israeli spin to it. I took off one star because no single dish really blew us away but we found the entire experience to be very pleasant. The place is not cheap but if you can manage to get here when they open and avoid the typical long wait, Ouzeria is definitely worth a try!

Cool Greek themed restaurant in the Levinsky market area. The area is liveliest on a Friday before Shabbat. The food was delicious, portions were a little small, but overall very fulfilling.

Restaurant
Nestled at the bustling intersection of Ben Yehudah and Jabotinsky streets in Tel Aviv, Java is a delightful blend of an informal neighborhood café, bar, and restaurant. Just a short stroll from Hilton Beach, this well-loved spot boasts an extensive breakfast menu featuring two delicious variations of shakshuka—one with feta cheese and eggplant for those craving something different. The full bar offers an impressive array of cocktails alongside refreshing smoothies.
The hamburger which comes in various styles, all based on the freshest tomatoes, perfectly seasoned meat and then based on the style you choose, a delicious top layer and appropriately paired sauce. I chose the Texan style. It was almost as tall as the pint glass of Limomana, which I may add was fresh tasting, and perfectly blended, made from fresh lemons and just the right amount of mint. The fries were seasoned well and sliced just right. Please reference the photos of all of the above.

This place is very trendy, but I did not have such a positive experience here. I came here for lunch, the food was fine, not something special or anything I would come from far. But what I really didn't like was the fact that they allow people to smoke inside the restaurant, and since it was a cold day and the windows were shot, I was literally choking. The service was fine as well, the food arrived after a reasonable amount of time, but the waiters were a bit impatient.
Avi J — Google review
I just had a shockingly bad experience at this place in regard to the service. The manager, who was also our server - a petite brunette woman - was incredibly rude and aggressive. There was a misunderstanding with something related to the bill and we very gently brought it to her attention. She fought us, escalated the situation drastically, made rude comments under her breath, and then had the audacity to ask for a tip - we chose not to leave service, as the service was horrible. She then told us to never come back to the restaurant, because we were “rude” for not leaving a tip. The hostess, on the other hand, was so sweet, personable, and warm - she was by far the most positive aspect of the experience.
Talya — Google review
The server, who is also the manager was aggressive, rude, and her customer service was beyond terrible. She escalated a very harmless situation - something wasn’t communicated clearly and we were confused about the total of the bill - she was very rude in response to our question and still had the nerve to ask for a tip. When we said we were not leaving a tip, because of her behaviour during the bill interaction, she got angry, called us rude, and told us to never come back to the place again. Lol - ok ma’am, not a problem - we won’t.

Java is a solid place. Great friendly service. Nothing extraordinary but definitely reliable and satisfying. Especially as it is open on Shabbat. The burger is the most popular item on the menu along with the 13 shekel shots. I've heard good things about the Red Curry and the Shakshuka. The Tahini Kebab is good as well. A much healthier option than Wok Republic across the street. The Açaí bowl for breakfast hasn’t let me down yet!
Phil P — Google review
Very cosy place with nice atmosphere and good food! Try: local beer called "Negev" and a very good dish called Arais - Pita bread stuffed with minced with Tahini. Can pass: the burgers. It's supposed to be the main thing here but I ate it twice and - it's juts "nice". It doesn't mean it's bad, it just means there are better places for burger. Other than than the staff is nice, there are power outlets even outside and the crowd is young and cool.

Great spot for coffee or lunch during the work week. The lentil salad and chicken curry are great and I've tried the Mediterranean salad a few times. My only complaint is that the take out portions are smaller than when you sit there. The service is excellent and hospitable.

Wordls best shawarma, lines sometimes long, but the workers are very good at controlling the audience!
Spam M — Google review
Waited 15-20 minutes for them to make 1 sandwich. Didn’t mind that part, what I did mind was watching the entire time as the worker ate with his hands/licked his fingers while simultaneously handling people’s food

This is likely the best shawarma in Tel Aviv. You order first and pay then give your receipt to the guys behind the counter to make your meal. All seating is outside and make sure to ask for utensils because they often forget to put them in if you get something to go. Food quality is fantastic. Pro tip. Get drinks elsewhere such as the grocery a block away and then get food here and sit outside.
Jeremy B — Google review
OMG! I've really missed a good shawarma! After 2 years abroad this is the first place in Tel Aviv I've walked into. It was pretty busy with a mix of locals and tourists. Was quite difficult to find a clean table, and had to wait for about 7 minutes before I could order. But guys, it was so worth it. The pita bread was divine. It was filled with a huge amount of shawarma. At one point I thought I wouldn't be able to eat the whole thing, but I ended up licking my fingers after the last bite. The staff was friendly. Prices are not cheap, but for the prime location on Dizingoff Street it may be understandable. Thanks guys for a great meal!

Mediocre service. A lot of time until I was approached. A lot of time until the order and my order got confused with something else. There’s a quiet kind of magic to a place that doesn’t try too hard but still delivers something exceptional. Tucked away from the main street, this restaurant feels like a well-kept secret. The interior is warm and intimate—low lighting, soft music, and a layout that gives each table a little sense of privacy. It’s the kind of place where conversations feel unrushed and every detail feels intentional. From the beginning, the service struck the perfect tone: friendly but never overbearing. Our server offered helpful suggestions and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a good experience. The pacing of the meal was smooth and unhurried, allowing us to really enjoy each course. The food itself was thoughtful and deeply satisfying. We started with a warm appetizer that featured caramelized edges, a touch of spice, and a beautifully balanced sauce that brought it all together. It was comforting and bold—a great way to begin. My main dish was a slow-cooked stew, rich and aromatic, served with a buttery side that soaked up every drop of flavor. The depth in the dish showed off the kitchen’s patience and precision. My dining companion ordered a plant-based entrée that was just as compelling—layered textures, fresh herbs, and a smoky finish that left us both reaching for second bites. Dessert was a quiet masterpiece: a simple slice of cake, delicately spiced, with a dollop of cream and a hint of citrus. Not overdone, not showy—just perfectly executed. This restaurant doesn’t shout for attention, but it absolutely deserves it. It’s a place that values quality, comfort, and care in equal measure. Whether you're here for a quiet dinner or to mark something special, it offers an experience that lingers long after the last bite.

Excellent hummus but consistently unhappy and grumpy service. I literally got yelled at. I ordered the take away hummus with meat toppings for extra money, and the takeaway hardly had any meat while the dining-in plate next to mine was piled high with meat. Makes me think they don’t care about all customers equally. Given prices and service - despite the tasty food - I’m not rushing back anytime soon.

What an amazing hummus! The vibe of the place is classic good hummus, packed with people waiting to get sitted, professional waiters running around between tables, and really but really great hummus. Hot chickpeas on top tasted like haven, the side olives are great and the pickel? OMG it's delicious, I believe it's home made. Service is quick and efficient, very friendly. This is a very well deserved competitor to the title "Best Hummus In Tel Aviv". Very reasonable price and a free refile to your hummus plate. If you are in the area - must visit.

I love the food and Lilush! I’ve been here a few times before and also ordered some deliveries. they have great sandwiches and a really special lettuce salad that I love to re-order over and over. I went for a late breakfast which is not problem as they serve breakfast the whole day. I chose Simon's Breakfast. It was delicious and I almost couldn't finish it as it was so much. But yum, I devoured every bite. The dishes I saw being served to people around me must have been as finger-licking as they looked as the people ate them with much gusto. The staff is very friendly. This local bistro is also very frequented by the locals which shows that it is good. But take in mind that it is a local bistro so the place isn't huge.

If you are vegetarian, religious, allergic or caring about what you get in your dish I wouldn't eat here or order. As the owner just told me in Hebrew, "if you care so much about it order only in vegetarian restaurants" I ordered using wolt a risotto with mushroom, got a risotto with shrimp by mistake. Every thing was white and didn't look to much inside. Took a bite and only than realized it. After speaking with wolt, called the restaurant. Answered some guy that claimed the risotto with mushroom is not vegetarian and it's my mistake. Talked with a different guy there that understood the situation and told me he forward it to the owner. The owner was a cynic, really not nice and only offered to give back the money to the dish, that was obvious cause the dish is in the garbage. I told him I excpect a sincere apology and some better compensation, such as the rest of the meal. The answer was not nice, and he apologized with a but "people will always make mistake" I will not eat or order here again

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Tel Aviv, Albi Downtown is a delightful retreat just a short stroll from Alma Beach. This charming spot boasts non-smoking rooms, complimentary WiFi, and a lovely terrace where you can unwind. With nearby attractions like the Nachalat Benyamin Crafts Fair and Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance and Theater, there's plenty to explore.
I really like this place, the service is great and people are very nice, feels like combination between Greece and Israel. The mood is elevating and the music and background noise makes you wanna stay for more. prices are fair, food is delicious. Enjoy

Every weekend they leave an excessive mess that is left by their guests. Even though they say “they clean it”, it tends to fly away throughout the street. Every single time. Instead of cleaning the mess and prevent it from obviously flying away, they do other things. And when confronted, they get defensive and rude.
Dan N — Google review
Expensive like crazy with no proportions. Atmospheres is good and fun and if price was right it could be perfect.
Shimi S — Google review
Very loud music, impossible to sit and talk, not so tasty as we wish , kebab was raw inside, and smelling not good ☹️sorry to say , we were disappointed
Elena C — Google review
Great food and environment. The price for the food is pretty high. The price for the drinks is really high
Dolev A — Google review
Worst place I have eaten in for a while. Food is super low quality and super expensive. Service is horrible slow and rude (except for 1 waiter who was very nice) even though we were the only table at the restaurant. The portions were miniature and everything was either burned or straight out of the freezer. They forgot the most expensive dish we ordered and we had to beg the waiter to remove it from our bill. When they saw we were unhappy, they gave us a free dessert which was plain bad, felt like it was from a week ago and went bad. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Yael L — Google review
Below average food that's way overpriced. . 185 IS that was not accounted for was added to our bill. When we called the waitress with the bill in hand she grabbed it from us without a word and went to the cashier to fix the bill as if she knew why we waived the bill at her, and returned with a bill minus 185 IS. No apology or explanation was given to us. Seems to us as if it wasn't an innocent mistake. WARNING: CHECK YOUR BILL TO ENSURE YOU ARE BEING BILLED AND PAYING INCORRECT AMOUNT.
Arnona O — Google review
Too expensive. The food was ok but the portion sizes were ridiculous compared to the price. The music was wayyyy too loud (and we were 25 young people, but we needed to shout if we wanted to hear each other). They try to get so many customers that it's too crowded and super hot to sit.

Whether you're in the mood for a hearty lunch with generous appetizers like beet Carpaccio topped with brinza cheese or craving something sweet like their renowned chocolate fudge cake, there's something to satisfy every palate.
Inexpensive and surprisingly tasty :) Could be a nice stop before going to Hilton Beach. I just had the chicken breast with green beans and it was very very good. I wouldn’t try the coffee however cocktails could be fun :) The servants we are very nice with a happy smile :)
RAVE — Google review
Went there for dinner after we weren't let in to a different restaurant. Got a table w/o any problems w/o reservations, staff was friendly and welcoming. I was positively surprised by the inexpensive chicken wings that I got for starts. Unfortunately, my main dish - some vegetarian pasta - was both very oily and I had to add soy sauce to get some flavor. Would love to rate the place higher, but we were just a bit disappointed by our main dishes.
Yaron G — Google review
#LocalGuides The place for dinner was chosen accidentally but we left it satisfied. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty. Ceviche from tapas menu, beetroot gnocchi as well as hamburger were perfect (at least almost perfect). Prices are average. Definitely worth visiting
Mariya C — Google review
Awesome place. Great food (they do everything from Israeli tapas to seafood, salads and meats), and the dining experience happens in very nice setting. I recommend the Foccacia, labaneh, burnt eggplant, and beetroot tapas. Basically the whole tapas menu is great...
Ananas — Google review
We went once for dessert and had a Chocolate fudge cake (excellent), then we went another day for a full meal, salmon fillet and beef burger (both very delicious). We fell in love with the place inmediately. Its the restaurant with the most friendly staff around the zone, their food recommendations were very good. We felt very loved. Its a place to come back
Oscar D — Google review
now reopened. Clean restaurant with nice seating facilities and a great menu. The menu is a good mix of Israeli and standard international dishes. All meals are value for money. The service is very friendly - just in busy times a bit slow... But again, a great place to eat and get your belly full for not a lot of money.
Jan P — Google review
Very nice place. Lots of tasty food for completely affordable prices. Great business lunch, lots of extra included in price, and portions is huge. The place itself is clean and cosy. I recommend this place, you won't regret.
Aleksei T — Google review
One needs to have a strong immune system to eat in this restaurant... The waiters are very friendly and the service was quick. The food was average. The kitchen is in the bar and you can see the chef cooking, which in this case is the worst publicity for the restaurant they could imagine. During my 30 minutes stay, the chef only washed his hands once, but put his hands to his mouth numerous times (to eat food he was picking from the bowls dedicated to create the clients' dishes...), not to mention that he touched the waste bin or tasted the tomato sauce with his finger, not washed of course. Crazy ...

Nestled on Bazel Street, Hamaniya is a delightful new eatery brought to life by the creators of @buckecafe. This charming spot specializes in healthy organic dishes that cater to both vegetarian and vegan diets. During my visit, I indulged in their breakfast tray and avocado toast, which were simply divine! The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance—bustling yet not overwhelming—making it an ideal place for a light lunch or even some study time.
REALLY good breakfast at a great price (64 shekels). Probably best bang for buck breakfast I’ve had in israel. Great mixture of eggs, veggies, cheese, and their green spirulina tahini.

This became my #1 favorite spot in Tel Aviv. I’m here everyday. The food is both delicious and high-integrity in its quality and health-conscious ingredients. The service is friendly, awesome and considerate. The plants all around make for a great vibe and happy atmosphere. As a vegan the food options and also gluten free options are like heaven. And even Organic coffee ☕️. Beautiful place, beautiful people, beautiful food, environmentally friendly, health conscious... I can’t stop raving about this place!! Come check it out for yourself! I’m in love ❤️🥰🥳

Such a nice healthy coffeeshop / restaurant in Basel (old north Tel Aviv). First - service was beyond incredible by everyone. It was a warm and busy lunch time and yet, everyone was so friendly to us that it was very refreshing . I got the quinoa salad with beets and I absolutely loved it. I really wanted to add protein to it but they don’t have chicken so the waitress was sweet to offer adding scrambled egg which i did . My friend got the other vegetable salad with tuna and said it was delicious . Can’t wait to go back.
Ido S — Google review
Absolutely love this cute little cafe on Basel. Their Israeli breakfast is served on a tray and everything in it is delicious and really fresh. They also serve all kinds of smoothie bowls in a wooden bowl which are amazing! The staff is really friendly and service is great. Also, they sell plants and other stuff too. Highly recommend!
Zohar S — Google review
New cafe in Basel St. very good location, good vibes and friendly staff. the food and drinks are organic. I personally very much like it. the highlight it’s a bowl with lots of tropical fruits. they have few options and this is very special, healthy and tasty. You can seat outside or inside. cool design.
Niv S — Google review
I came here with a friend for a quick and light lunch. The restaurant was full but not crowded, and we were pleased to find a wide range of delicious vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. They also offer a variety of refreshing and healthy juices. For my meal, I ordered the disassembled Sabich, which was very good. However, I must admit that the best way to enjoy Sabich is by having it in a pita bread.
Itai N — Google review
Another pop-up trendy caffe place in Tel Aviv with an edge. Nice concept store. The food itself is good to mediocre. Everything is over priced. Dishes are too small. Staff is childish and not professional. Take the tray for sharing. The sweets and pastries are good.
Yonatan B — Google review
Dishes feel... Ungenerous. Added a photo of the smoothie "bowl" next to my hand. Cost 40-50, looks 20-30. The Cocoa smoothie wasn't tasty (to us). The service was good and the place looks very nice. I'm have mixed feelings about this place. I recommend the Blue hot drink, it was great.

American restaurant
"The Brothers" is a kosher restaurant in Tel Aviv that offers incredible meat imported from Nebraska, with a creative menu that elevates American steak and burger classics. The casual yet elevated atmosphere makes it perfect for a chill dinner with family and friends. The friendly waitstaff are multilingual, and the outdoor dining space is amazing. The restaurant also offers delicious fresh food, accommodating dietary restrictions kindly, and providing large portions at fair prices.
Pros: INCREDIBLE meat, imported from Nebraska (Kosher Rabbanut), Creative menu reminding me of a great American steak/burger place but elevated yet casual (so Tel Aviv!). Amazing outdoor dining space. Easy-going friendly waitstaff, all multi-lingual. Clean high-chairs. Crispy fries. Vibrant flavors. Gorgeous wine list. Crunchy fresh vegetables. Con: I have to drive to Tel Aviv every time I want to eat here. Definitely recommend.

Early dinner with some family and friends…chill atmosphere and perfect dinner…what else?? Very good food, amazing frozen cocktails, friendly and cool waitress, super nice terrace…we had fun all night long! You ll see me again soon :)))
Elie F — Google review
Burger was very average. Salad had too much of a sauce/dressing. Place is overpriced. Food taste was so so. Drinks were just fine.
Kamila Ś — Google review
Good option if you need a kosher place in center TLV. The fries are great with a generous portion and the meat of the burger was good for a kosher meat. But the bun completely broke down leaving us to eat the meat alone, the aioli sauce is just regular mayo and the beer was stale.
Asaf M — Google review
We came on a Friday, they didn’t have two things from the menu, they took very long to bring the food, we ordered burgers and fries, the bread from the burger not fresh and I ordered two mini burgers they weren’t mini at all. So don’t waste your time and money…Food places don’t realize that now with internet and social media you can’t open a place and run it this way. Very sad!

A really great restaurant with a beautiful back garden in the middle of Tel-Aviv. The typical Israeli breakfasts but with a unique twist that adding special flavors. The coffee is good and well made. Wide range of pastries and cakes, all look fresh and delicious. The stuff are very friendly and welcoming. Enjoy :)

Cute place with a great location. We really enjoyed the recommended wines. The food was good and too and the service was pleasant but a bit slow. There’s a backyard which looks fun during day time. The restroom could be cleaner and in a better condition.
Lihi B — Google review
Nice place great location, wide range of sitting options. Happy hour was great 1+1 on the alcohol,15% on food (S-W 18:00-20:00) The food was ok, and nothing more. Wide range of Israeli wines.
Itai N — Google review
There was nothing to eat (only small portion salads). The wine was hot (not warm, hot). We were over-charged (about 1,000₪ more than what we ordered). The owner threatened to call the police if we didn’t pay. This place is a catastrophe. You go in with good energies, get out hungry and angry.
Lucas A — Google review
Nice garden to eat breakfast at. The breakfast is very basic, tuna only with red pepper, no option to replace and I’m allergic so no other option.. the service is slow and not so friendly.. lets say they didn't really care and took their time to bring food, check if we can switch on type of bread for another and the plates were unclean twice. All in all nice location but not so nice rest. I would not come again - too many good options at that area. Price 68 for breakfast for 1

Tel Aviv Port Market, located in Hangar 12 at Namal Port, is a bustling indoor marketplace offering a wide variety of fresh produce, meats, cheese, wine, bread and prepared foods. Situated near Hilton and Metzitzim beaches as well as Park Hayarkon, this upmarket market is a magnet for food enthusiasts. The best variety of food in one spot in Tel Aviv., that's not a supermarket.
Ryan C — Google review
Great place to visit in Tel Aviv. The old port transformed into a great shopping and dining area. On Fridays there is a fantastic market with fresh produce and ready to eat food. Lots of coffee shops and sitting areas in the old port area as well with activities for kids.
Jonathan S — Google review
Great vibe on Fridays. Farmers come and sell their produce. Prices are slightly higher than regular but everything looks nice and fresh. Some of the places offer little tastes to sell their items. Also there’s a good variety of cafes and restaurants around to hang out after shopping. The worst thing here is the car park, you need to spend at least 15 minutes to find a parking spot for your car, so better to go by bike/scooter or bus.
Elif K — Google review

Mifgash Osher, aptly named the "Happiness Joint," is a must-visit spot in Tel Aviv for anyone craving exceptional falafel. This cozy eatery may be small, but it packs a punch with its vibrant flavors and quick service.
We had the Osher Salad (aka Israeli Salad)... twice in four days! Simply spectacular flavours and attention to detail in the preparation. Attentive and friendly staff. They have an English menu if you need it. Can’t wait to visit again next time in TLV!

Friendly place with very nice hummus and salad affordable too. Nice mix of dishes around hummus and salad, definitely coming back. The only downside is lack of tables which makes you sit next to strangers (not necessarily a bad thing! 😎)
Dan W — Google review
Oh boy. What is better there - the extremely delicious food or the high entertainment factor by the guys working here? I love their Falafel and the way it's been served - sauce and salad gets mixed before it ends up in the always fresh pita. If you don't want the sauce just on top and the rest of your falafel being boringly dry - this is your place! For me without doubt the best in town.

Nonstop Burekas offers a variety of large Turkish or Bulgarian pastries made with handmade phyllo and filled with options like cheese, potatoes, spinach, or roasted eggplant. The perfect burek has thin pastry made with oil and is served sliced alongside a boiled egg, pickles, and tahini. Originating from Sephardic Jewish cuisine, these flaky pastries are popular in Israel and are typically topped with sesame seeds.

Excellent late night snack or quick lunch. Somewhat like an Israeli pizza. The filo pastry is stuffed with cheese or potato and served with boiled egg, sour pickles and red and green sauce. There is no sign that I could see, but it is next to a restaurant called Meat. Try it and you will not be disappointed.

A great street food restaurant that sells bourekas, which is a patisserie made with filo dough and a filling of one of cheese, spinach, mushrooms, or potatoes. In this place the bourekas is served on a wooden plate, topped with a boiled egg, with side pickles and two types of dipping sauces. You can wash the meal with a nice coffee that is also served in the same place. The spinach bourekas was 25 NIS, coffee was 10 NIS. Great place for a quick and delicious street food.

(Translated by Google) If you feel like breaking a tooth from a hard avocado, this is the place to order from, and the highlight is that after I sent a message to Walt's customer service, they bothered to say that the business stands behind the dish and claims that everything is fine, meaning it's okay that I paid 16 NIS for an inedible avocado as long as they say it's fine, then that's what it is. What's funny is that I used to order from them regularly, so for 16 NIS they preferred to lose a regular customer, business geniuses, there's nothing to say.
