Restaurant
Located in the basement of Mountain Haus, The George Restaurant & Pub is a popular spot for post-ski cocktails and bar bites in Vail Village. With a convivial atmosphere, it offers a diverse selection of nearly 30 canned craft beverages, cocktails ranging from martinis to spiked hot chocolates, and an array of eats including mushroom and duck quesadillas and surf and turf combos.
Roy was our server and immediately he greeted us and said he would be right back (he had multiple glasses in his hand so I understood for sure) he came back and was very very polite and attentive! Couldn’t have asked for a better server. Food was also very good, music selection was mix of rock and some hip hop but I loved it! I would love the link to the playlist. The atmosphere was nice and overall I rate 10/10 for sure!! Food was also fair price and definitely worth it! Would come back for sure and highly recommend!!! Thank you Roy for being the best server we have had in Vail!

Hands down the best pub in Vail! Had the best tuna burger ever, so flavorful. Great happy hour cocktails! Bartender very friendly. Awesome music. If I ever come back to Vail, this is the place to go!
Ann — Google review
Very cool and authentic looking pub. We had to get directions down there from the hotel upstairs, but it was easy to find after that. I had the King George burger, which was amazing. It looked as good as a burger from a commercial: thick, fluffy lettuce, thick tomato and pickle slices, and crispy bacon strips. The fries though were the best. Super crispy, came out hot, and no soft or squishy ones in the bunch. I might just go back for the fries!

I arrived at around 4:00pm (during happy hour (3:00-6:00) on Tuesday, March 11. This place was a little confusing as you had to go down stairs to get there and there was a very small sign with the restaurant name. Even when we went down it was slightly difficult to navigate into the restaurant. Seats were easy to find, not too packed. Going during happy hour is definitely worth it entrees were $22 appetizers were $12 and drinks were $6, but they were out of the crab legs. For appetizers we ordered the nachos and added chicken, nachos were great! All the entrees were huge! For my entree, I ordered the filet mignon and a side of mashed potatoes. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and was not bad, it was a little rough and the meat didn’t feel like filet mignon. Mashed potatoes were phenomenal, they were perfectly cooked and paired well with the gravy. The fries were nice as they were fluffy in the middle and crispy on the outside, could use more salt in my opinion, but was pretty good. Another ordered fish chips, the fish was cooked well, but could use more seasoning. The batter was not very thick which was good. If you like fish and chips this is a go to. Many others ordered the plum duck as it was very popular here. Portion was humongous. They put a lot of sauce which wasn’t favorable, it made the spring rolls soggy. It was a little sweeter than preferred. Cooked well and had crispy edges. However, the rice wasn’t good, it was dry and tasted like it just came out the fridge. Service was great, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. In conclusion, this place is a great spot to go for late lunch or early dinner (3:00-6:00) as the happy hour prices are great. I really wish I could try the crab legs, they may have took it off during happy hour, and said they were out. Food could be better, service was phenomenal and atmosphere was not bad.
Mark C — Google review
The food is so delicious here and every server is so kind! Definitely a laid back vibe and the perfect place if you're looking for some space away from the typical Vail scene.
Ericka C — Google review
Love hanging out at the George! Any season throughout the year is a good time here. Great selection of beers and the redbull slushies are great too. Bar service is quick even when they get a little busy. The food at this bar is top notch. My favorite go to is definitely the duck and mushroom quesadilla. Its a great snack if your really hungry or a decent meal if not! Ski season Après The George is the place to be. Find it down the stairs and enjoy some damn good food and drinks.
James T — Google review
Definitely blew my expectations out of the water!! Caught the happy hour specials, and was not disappointed. My wife had the filet mignon, I had the sirloin, and everything was amazing! The brownie Sunday hit the spot and closed the meal out in the best possible way! Our server Eryn freaking rocked!! She went above and beyond! We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

Very cool and hip place to hang out in Vail Village. Comfortable seating and friendly hosts. The Duck and Mushrooms Quesadillas were wonderful, and happy hour drinks were a good price. It's not a bad place for a hole in the ground.🙂

New American restaurant
Mountain Standard is an upscale gastropub located in Vail Village, offering a stylish and woody space to enjoy New American cuisine, beers, and bourbons. The restaurant excels in serving indulgent gastropub classics such as crudo, flatbreads, and hearty grilled proteins. Alpenrose and Almresi are sister restaurants with Swiss-focused menus that complement the overall dining experience.
Stopped in for lunch while visiting Vail Village for the afternoon and totally worth it. Slight wait to be seated as only 2 waiters today, but they did great. Mu husband and I started with the warm pimento cheese and pepper jam and toasted bread and a country ham bisquit for each of us. Both were fabulous. We split the grilled crab and cheese sandwich and soup and ordered an extra bowl of soup. The cheese was a perfect contrast to the crab on the sandwich and the porky tomato soup was great too. We left pleasantly full and very happy with our meal.
Monica S — Google review
Quite the busy and popular restaurant, with dishes that do not disappoint. Mountain Standard has many fusion dishes with a Korean dish (the first photo) that I would recommend every table order and eat. Unfortunately, I do not remember the names of the dishes but I would tell you to order them all!!! I will say though, that the staff were BUSY with our waitress being so busy she forgot our drinks. It was an honest mistake but not getting a single drink before finishing our dinner was quite annoying. Luckily, the manager was more than accommodating and made our nice all the better. Despite some bumps, I would definitely come back to this restaurant to try the rest of the menu!
Andy L — Google review
If you are in vail village, you should try out this place. Highly recommend to get trout potato fritters, piri piri chicken (only if you can handle spicy) and pork shank with mashed potatoes. We didn’t try dessert.
P N — Google review
just finished our first meal at Mountain Standard, 10/10! The ambiance and elevated cozy ski lodge atmosphere set the tone for an incredible delicious dinner. Every dish ordered was packed with flavor, thoughtfully presented and fresh as could be. Our server Emily was wonderfully attentive as well as an excellent guide in navigating the menu. Tahini dip, wedge salad, piri piri chicken and the rainbow trout were all delightful!
Jessi W — Google review
Still befuddled by this experience. The food is some of the best we ate while in Vail. But the service was absolutely the worst. We stood/waited 5 minutes at the hostess stand before having our reservation acknowledged and being seated. And then waited another 5-10 minutes at our booth before a waitress came over to acknowledge, oops. ‘I just learned you were my table.’ Her indifference spanned the meal; my impression was that this was the ‘hot’ restaurant in Vail and we should feel lucky to be there. Wish the kitchen surcharge (3%) and tip was doled out in reverse because the food was fantastic. We will remember both the grilled octopus and pork shank for a long time as stand-out dishes. And the cocktail I had, combining mezcal and yellow chartreuse was a creative winner. Still, for the price I will give pause before returning or trying the sister property Sweet Basil because it felt odd having the experience tainted by being poorly executed full service.

Octopus appetizer dish is a must try. Overall the dishes we got including burger and halibut were are incredible and had so much flavors. One of the best restaurants in Vail.
Sanaz Z — Google review
We were excited to go to Mountain Standard but were disappointed with the food. Two in our party got the shrimp creole appetizer and were surprised that it came unshelled. It was smothered in sauce and when they bit in to the shrimp were shocked it wasn't shelled. We've had shrimp all over the country and never have been served shrimp that wasn't already shelled. The hanger steak was ok and the grilled Cobia was good but the portion was very small. We had the octopus appetizer and it was excellent. The drinks were fantastic. The people were very nice and the service was excellent.
Mike G — Google review
The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were exceptional. We started off with the Tahini dip and the bbq shrimp. Both were overflowing with flavor. The main entree was the piri spicy chicken and it was also delicious. We loved this establishment and it is located in a beautiful area of Vail. If I must have a "con" about this restaurant, it would be the lighting was a little dark and that's being a little picky.

Westside Cafe & Market is a popular local spot located in an across-the-highway strip mall. This cozy restaurant serves up delicious down-home cooking from breakfast to dinner, and is known for its Big-Ass Bloody Mary cocktail, which comes in almost-fishbowl-size glasses. The bar offers a variety of cocktails including the Bakon version with bacon-infused vodka and a kabob of pickled vegetables.
Our first time in Vail and a lot of restaurants haven't opened up yet. Our hotel is right across the freeway so we tried it out. Our first night here and we split a bacon cheeseburger with tater tots. Everything thing was excellent. Tots were chrispy and burger was cooked perfectly. Decided to go back Our last night in Vail, I had the beet/ arugula salad with grilled chicken and hubby had elk chili. Again, our food was excellent! Our waitress was great but we didn't get her name.

Delicious breakfast! The freshest squeezed orange juice, crispy hash browns (yummm!) great service & cute patio. Highly recommend!

The bavarian pretzel was nothing special, something you can get in the frozen section of the groceries store. The Bison burger was cook perfectly and the French fries with them were plenty. The grilled chicken sandwich was big and juicy. The sweet potato fries were good.

Excellent food. Great atmosphere and service. The orange juice is a must try! I think the price is actually reasonable for the area. Give it a try, I highly recommend

Yesterday I had the best breakfast here since I relocated to Colorado almost a year ago. I love breakfast & brunch and I’ve visited at least 10 different places but none of them can compare to Westside. The food was flavorful, yummy, and the portions were everythang! And Alisha was such a great waitress…I wish there was a location in the Metro Denver area because this place made my day!! I love breakfast for all three meals and this place would definitely be a place I’d frequent! Thank you for being the best part of our Vail adventure!
Edith G — Google review
Service and food was pretty good. We were in the corner and got somewhat ignored until the manager came over to make sure we were taken care of. Nice place to eat inside of the hotel.

The food was good. Good fries and burgers. The atmosphere stands aside which is the most selling point. You can have a nice prettty place to dine in.

Sweet Basil is a renowned dining destination in Vail Village, having occupied the same address since 1977. It has garnered a loyal following, including celebrity patrons like the Kardashians. The restaurant's elegant dining room and lively bar offer inspired New American cuisine and trendy drinks. Owner Matt Morgan, who started his career at Sweet Basil, has maintained its reputation while also opening other successful eateries.
We came to Sweet Basil the night after our wedding to celebrate. The food was absolutely amazing and was one of the best meals we have ever had in our lives. The gnocchi was so delicious we are still craving it one week later, and the toffee pudding cake was incredible. The service was excellent as well and we cannot wait to go back soon!

We came in for a late lunch and were really impressed by the food and the view. We had the heirloom tomato salad and I had the Argentine shrimp while my husband had the salmon. Each dish was so flavorful and well cooked. The shrimps were tender but still have a slight crisp and I loved how well cooked and flavorful the veggies in the dish were as well. Would come back again to try out other dishes if we have the chance
Emily Y — Google review
We spent three days in Vail. So many great restaurants. Sweet Basil is clearly one of the best. We started with a gnocchi app that was glorious. The pork chop and Salmon were prepared perfectly. The lemon/fennel dessert was out of this world. We sat at the bar and had a great time with Andy the bartender and other guests at the bar. Pretty restaurant!!
Bob K — Google review
Such a fun experience. Our server Bobby, was 10/10. Super helpful with the menu, very fun to chat with and guided us through our meal with ease. Food was playful and thoughtful and really show cased so many flavor combinations. The pasta courses we would recommend as well as the sticky toffee pudding. Thank you for showing me and my family from Virginia an amazing night on a thunderstorm evening.
Jessika Y — Google review
We stopped here over Labor Day weekend for lunch. We sat outside on the little patio and watched all the people passing by. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered the gnocchi in smoked tomato butter sauce with mozzarella and my husband had salmon with lemongrass rice. Both dishes were lovely and perfectly seasoned with a surprising variety of texture which made the dishes even more satisfying. I had a Mexican senorita cocktail and my husband had a blonde ale, both were wonderful.
Mrs K — Google review
We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Sweet Basil! Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Between our group we enjoyed the beef tenderloin, salmon, Iberian duroc pork, and the Dungeness crab bucatini—each one was perfection. For dessert, the toffee pudding cake was the perfect sweet ending, especially paired with an espresso martini or coffee. Our waitress, Lora, was fantastic—warm, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. She made the evening even more enjoyable with her recommendations and professionalism. The atmosphere is lively yet elegant, and it’s clear why Sweet Basil has such a stellar reputation in Vail. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!
Kim B — Google review
Really good food in Vail! I wish they would have a soup or stew option but the things I have gotten are all great. Recently had the ricotta gnocchi and the shrimp la plancha. Both excellent. I'd round this up to 4.5 stars but the prices are too steep to give it a full 5.
Katie B — Google review
Wow! What a lunch. Started with a 1/2 btl of Guy Lamardier Grand Cru Bubbles with Truffle Fries, Crispy Shrimp & Calamari and Corn Cappelletti then moved on to a 1/2 bottle of Chateau Cantermerle with Ricotta Gnocchi and Lombardi Brothers Loin Burger. Great wine program; particularly like the great 1/2 btl selections. Everything was amazing. Staff professional and Friendly. Beautiful space. Will be back!

The Little Diner is a cozy spot located in Lionshead Village, right next to Vail Village. You can easily walk between the two or take a quick free bus ride. Sitting at the bar allows you to watch the food being prepared and helps with decision making. The Farmer's Breakfast is highly recommended, and you can upgrade to a delicious chocolate chip pancake for just $1.
The staff was very polite and swift to seat and serve us. They had good music and a friendly atmosphere. Croissant sandwich was flavorful, bun was fluffy and light. Eggs and ham were seasoned and cooked well. $12 for a sandwich is a fair price compared to nearby diners

Yummy, fluffy pancakes, enormous crepes with great cocktails. Try the Peanut butter Hot Chocolate with or without Whiskey, delish! Keep the strollers at home, their intimate space has a few 8 tops but mostly 4 tops. T
Helen J — Google review
During our first of what will be many visits to Vail, our friends raved about The Little Diner for a classic and comforting brunch that hits all the right notes. My wife had the large, fluffy biscuits generously smothered in rich, creamy sausage gravy—savory and indulgent without being overwhelming. Accompanying the biscuits were perfectly scrambled eggs and a hearty serving of crispy hash browns, adding both texture and balance to the plate. Being an omelet fan, the Southwestern was a standout on the plate—beautifully golden and fluffy, filled with delicious chorizo, their specialty chili's (with more requested on the side), and chock-full of cheese. With both dishes, their crispy hash browns (watching how they were prepared) were a knock-out of the park. I was able to ask for a side of pancakes, and they were brought out early with our mimosas, which made for a perfect breakfast appetizer. Each component was well-prepared and flavorful, making the meal feel both satisfying and familiar. It’s the kind of brunch that reminds you why diners are such beloved staples—simple, hearty, and delicious. Plus, sitting at the bar not only gave you a look into how the kitchen runs, but also the friendly and regular touch from the wait staff. If you're in Vail and craving a traditional brunch done right, don't miss out on The Little Diner as a staple that's worth a visit.

Where do I begin? How about 2013 when my bride Julie and myself celebrated our first anniversary in Vail. We went to The Little Diner for breakfast. This was my first experience with eggs Benedict and I couldn't have tasted anything better! Since then, any time we visit we make The Little Diner our first stop. We had the pleasure of speaking with Brian (the owner) a couple times too. I've tried other eggs Benedict around the country and only Norma's in Palm Springs came close, but was still 2nd to The Little Diner. Our most recent visit brought us once again to The Little Diner and the eggs Benedict is still outstanding and Poncho throws down the BEST hash browns around! However, the best part of this trip was running into Jim Little on the shuttle bus on our way to The Little Diner! Yes, the one and only inventor of "Jim Little's Famous Eggs Benedict!!" What a sweet man. We spoke for several minutes and he encouraged me to try other items on the menu because they are ALL very tasty. 😳 What? Give up my Benedict? I said I would and will. Did I mention he's a Vietnam Veteran? Thank you Jim for your service and the wonderful eggs Benedict! The Little Diner...you can't go wrong. 🤗

A gem! The best seats are at the bar, which surround the kitchen. You watch them cook everything. The food is delicious. The staff is wonderful. Pictured: Bagel sandwich with tomato slices instead of meat and the vegetable omelette. The biscuits and gravy (not pictured) are so good—so good.

This place is everything you want in a diner! The pancakes were amazing, nice quality everything, super friendly and attentive staff! Coffee was great. I have nothing but great things to say about this place!♥️ wish Austin had something this good.
Amberly L — Google review
Fun atmosphere! Very entertaining sitting at the countertop watching the well oiled fast paced kitchen. My lemon crepe was wonderful, my bacon and chai were too. My husbands burrito he said was decent. He paid extra for green chili sauce bringing his burrito to $20.00 and didn’t get very much of the sauce and he said it had the texture of Hormel chili he thought the chorizo in it was ok but not anything special. The man behind the countertop was all business and seemed to want to rush our ordering and paying our bill. Subtly annoying but nothing that ruined the experience for me. I would go back but husband said he wouldn’t. They did a good job of serving the large amount of people coming in. Breakfast sandwiches and other items I saw being cooked looked very good.

Pepi's Bar & Restaurant is a renowned Austrian eatery in Vail, known for its wild game dishes and lively entertainment. The restaurant boasts a rich history, adorned with signed photos of famous visitors like Buzz Aldrin, Gerald Ford, and Lindsey Vonn. The establishment was opened in 1964 by Bill Whiteford as the largest disco in North America, drawing top entertainers like Dizzie Gillespie and Irish Rovers.
I've eaten here several times and I've always had good service and great food. I only visit in the summer so I can't speak to "busy season". I've included a few pics from my summer lunches outside on the patio. I usually order the trout at lunch. I wish I had taken a photo of my "bar food" dinner because it was delicious. I had a brat which comes on a toasted roll with sides of German potato salad and sauerkraut. If you're looking to save a little money on dinner in Vail, the bar menu selection is small but very reasonably priced.
Stephanie S — Google review
I went here for lunch. My order consisted of pepi's house salad and a cup of Hungarian goulash soup. Both dishes were yummy. Please keep in mind, the balsamic dressing on the house salad is very sour! That's not a bad thing, but may not be for everyone. The mandarin oranges, avocado, and candied walnuts made it bearable by giving it slight sweetness. The Hungarian goulash soup was nice and tasty; however, the cup portion is very small - much smaller than most places. Of course, each dish was more on the expensive side. The cup of soup alone was $13. This place is in Vail, CO so the cost wasn't much of a surprise - very on par with every other dining establishment in the area. The food came out very quick and all the servers at the restaurant were attentive - they constantly refilled my water, which is super nice because I go through water cups very quickly and it was a hot day! I like the ambiance and location of the restaurant. Nice place to people watch while listening to the background noise of Vail Village and enjoying some good food.

We enjoyed a big family dinner at Pepi’s. The service was good, and our food arrived promptly—hot, well-presented, and tasty. The menu offers a nice variety, including some European specialties. I had the , which I enjoyed, and also tasted the Wiener and Jäger Schnitzels. While the food was enjoyable, it was not cheap at all. All in all, we had a lovely evening and a good dining experience.

We had such a fun time at Pepi’s Bar in Vail for happy hour! The atmosphere on the patio is lively and has that classic alpine charm—it’s the perfect spot to people watch and enjoy the village vibe. The margarita was crisp and refreshing with just the right amount of lime and salt on the rim, while the draft beer was ice cold and served with a fresh orange slice—great choices for a sunny afternoon. A special shoutout to Cherelle—it was such a pleasure meeting her! She made our visit extra enjoyable with her warm personality and great service. If you’re in Vail, Pepi’s is definitely a must-stop for happy hour! 🍹🍺

Daniella and the hostess provided excellent service. The restaurant was pet friendly. We sat outside. Food was delicious. Great soups for this cold weather. Honestly, the food was worth the price & experience. First time in Vail, and I would definitely come back.

Good food with good service and nice to eat outside during the summer. Ordered wiener schnitzel and it's a winner! The beef stroganoff was so good and the beef is sooo tender. I also like how they perfectly cook the branzino and the escargot is full of flavor. For desserts we ordered creme brulee it is perfectly caramelized and creamy also with just the right amount of sweetness for me. For apple strudel needs a little improvement because I find the apple sour. But overall we had a great time.
Ja — Google review
Our experience was extremely disappointing. The hostess, an older woman, clearly lacked both customer service skills and basic empathy. Unfortunately, the waitress was even worse—rude and dismissive toward our entire family. The atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming, as if kindness and hospitality were foreign concepts. It’s disheartening to see such a lack of care in a place meant to serve and connect with people. A little compassion would go a long way here.
Quillera Q — Google review
Fantastic Tyrolean atmosphere. The wiener schnitzel (two breaded pork medallions) and jagrschnitzel (pork medallions in mushroom sauce) came in large portions and were everything we expected from a highly rated Austrian place. We returned for a delicious and large slice of apfelstruedel (apple strudel) with ice cream and vanilla sauce. Wow!

Bully Ranch Restaurant is a casual eatery and bar located within the Sonnenalp in Vail Village. It offers a cozy space with a seasonal patio overlooking Gore Creek, making it an ideal spot for dining with kids on warm summer days. The menu features a variety of burgers, Southwestern dishes, sandwiches, salads, and entrees made with fresh seasonal ingredients.
My husband and I came here for dinner and it was delicious! Service was great and friendly. I think the chicken sandwich was the best I’ve ever had! And my husband loved the burger he got. The tots are amazing too! Will definitely come back next time we’re in Vail!

We were one of a few tables seated, and the service was great as a result. The food was decent, but the ribs and burger we ordered were nothing to write home about. Their fries, however, were fantastic. Both the sweet potato wedges and French fries were deliciously crisp. The atmosphere was country, and the prices were reasonable for Vail.

Everyone loved their food. Ribs had a great sauce and meat fell off the bone (they even give you a bone bowl), burger, chicken sandwich, and wings. And the mudslide drink is noteworthy. Our server was lackluster and perhaps assigned more tables than he could keep up with. I was quite put off by the gum stuck under my chair that I touched when sliding my chair in—they really should check all the chairs for this regularly. The food was great even though the other stuff could use improvement. I did notice the water staff and other servers were doing a great job, so would expect improved service if coming back again, which we would as the food was great, but won’t grab the chair very closely next time… I like that they take reservations. You can valet park your car for a fee or just park in vail public parking and walk.

We found this place last minute, after figuring out how much the off season limits availability of restaurants. That said, our experience tonight will probably have us back here, even when more restaurants are back open! We were greeted and seated quickly. The menu provided a lot of delicious options… so being hungry made the decision process more challenging. Our server recommended lots of favorites, highlighting the wings, the bourbon burger, and the fried chicken sandwich. We selected the burger and the chicken sandwich. The food was delicious and served faster than expected. Lots of “layers” to flavor and attention to quality ingredients. A great experience!

TL;DR stay AWAY from the kids menu! I’ve been coming to Bully Ranch regularly for many years and decided to update my review. The service is typically pretty good and has gotten better since they started to allow for reservations. The food is mostly great, just avoid the kids menu. Bully Ranch used to serve smaller servings of their adult menu items but at some point that changed. We ordered the kids pizza and kids steak. The pizza was about the same quality as a lunchable and was equally inedible. You can see in the picture how it compares to their adult pizza which is outstanding. The steak was just ok and the sides seemed like they came from a tv dinner. That all being said, their ribs, vegetarian meatballs with burrata, and Brussels sprouts were wonderful.

We enjoying a much needed caffeine boost of espresso and cappuccino at the bar here yesterday and were mesmerized by the food, service and ambiance here. It’s like we were transported to a cozy mountain retreat in Austria. We decided we had to come back a little later for dinner and so glad we did. We were greeted warmly by Vinnie who also took our order, and guided us to complete satisfaction! My husband and son both chose the Bison Burger while I had the tomato soup, all memorably delicious choices. I normally don’t even like tomato soup, but Vinnie praised it so highly and I trusted him. There are not enough adjectives to express how truly extraordinary this soup was! It was created by one of world’s culinary gods that has a passion for their craft. And it was certainly enjoyed by this culinary goddess who rarely finds nirvana.

Love the mud slides. Right in Vail village. Such a great place. Food is amazing ! Parking in the structure and it's a short walk.

So we were driving through the mountains and found this place BULLY RANCH restaurant. The atmosphere is really cool! The service was fantastic! I ordered the 16 oz wet aged Fitch farms ribeye med. It was med well and a little chewy with more fat than I think it should have had. It had pretty good flavor. Not worth $75.00 for the steak. Wife and kids had some salads and chicken wings that were ok nothing special. Mainly good environment and service.

Garfinkel's is a popular sports pub located in Lionshead Village, offering American cuisine and a wide selection of drinks. The pub features a wraparound bar and a large deck with stunning mountain views, making it the perfect spot to relax after a day on the slopes. Established in 1999, Garfinkel's is known for its prime location near the Eagle Bahn gondola, allowing guests to watch skiers coming down the mountain while enjoying their meal or drinks.
Great place to catch the game, have a beer and a giant plate of nachos. Large beef & chicken combo nachos feed four. Bar has an old school ski town feel. Just as enjoyable in the offseason as it is during ski season.

Cool place. Seated quick. Took a while for a waiter to grace our table. We both got burgers. They were ok. Performed patty. Probably a frozen one. Fries were weirdly crunchy. I don’t like limp fries but overly crunchy is just weird. I always prefer hand cut fries.
Ashley C — Google review
One of the better and more casual pub hang outs in Vail with plenty of space and great views. Food was pretty good and hits the spot for pub grub after a day on the slopes. Food is expensive but what you would expect on a resort mountain, however the portions were better for the price than other typical mountain portion per price. Nachos were the best, fully loaded and a small is enough for 2 people. This pub is pretty big with a lot of tables and seating both inside and outside. It's a gamble what will be crowded since the outside area has some good views of the mountain but if weather is bad or there's a lot of snow covering the tables & chairs, people will try to pack inside.

Ordered a BLT sandwich the super thin tiny slices of tomato made the sandwich terrible the worst I've ever had thankfully they bought me a bunch of thick slices you'll see in the picture the original thin slices on the bottom and the thick ones added on the top. The bacon was excellent and the sandwich turned out nice after it was modified. They have a great selection of sports on all the TVs here and a huge selection of local beers which I found very interesting some new ones that were not even on untapped that I added.

A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering! I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and was absolutely blown away. The dishes were incredibly flavorful—each bite felt like a celebration of taste. The atmosphere was cozy yet vibrant, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and cheerful gatherings. What truly stood out was the staff: attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel like honored guests rather than just customers. I’ll definitely be coming back—and bringing friends!

Overall we had a good experience! We got the Southwest Chicken salad and Garf’s Green Salad with salmon. Food was pretty fresh and I’d get it again! Views were awesome, our server was great, and prices were very reasonable for the area. I really wanted to try the House Pasta, but it was a Dinner option and dinners are only available to order after 5, so I’m sure I’ll be back to try that another day!

Red Lion is a lively establishment that offers upscale American cuisine and live entertainment. It has been a part of the Vail community since 1963, making it one of the oldest buildings in the area. During the day, it's family-friendly, but at night, it transforms into a popular party spot with regional singer/songwriters performing live music. The atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming to everyone, from lifties to VIPs.
Have been coming here over two decades. Never disappoints. Went to Greece last year had lots of Gyros. The gyro at red lion is amazing, but French fries in it for the Greece experience.

We had wonderful food and service at the Red Lion! Vegetarian options at this restaurant are excellent. We ordered a veggie burger for me and a burger for my husband, and we both had the jalapeño style option. For dessert we shared the avalanche brownie. The portion sizes were large, we found the pricing to be reasonable compared to most other options in Vail, and our server was so friendly and fun. We also enjoyed the live music and outdoor seating.

Visited vail for the first time and had dinner at this fun and lovely place last night 9/28/25.What stood out the most was Michael's amazing service at the bar side.He was so nice and made us feel welcomed.I thought he was the manager but he said he wasn't but I believe he should be! Thanks again Michael for the amazing service. Keep up the great work!

Sat down at the bar. Bartender asked if we needed a menu. Told her no and that we just wanted a fountain drink. Bartender filled 2 beers for two ladies that came in after us. I let it slide. When she started to take care of another person that came in after us, I told her not to worry about my order. I couldn't tell if she heard me, so I said it twice. No response again, and I know she heard me but she still wouldn't acknowledge me. The 3rd time she grunted but still wouldn't look at me. Total disrespect. Never again will this place get my money.

I had the crispy chicken sandwich with onion rings and it did not disappoint! It was so delicious! The only thing I would change is upgrading the cheese to Bongards (we’re dairy farmers here, so it matters) just by doing that would take the sandwich to a whole new level!
Erica H — Google review
Was unimpressed with the food, I think I had higher hopes for it due to being in Vail. We ordered the Vail burger, build your own burger and two kids mini corn dogs ($10 each). The burgers had no flavor, very bland. My cheese was wrong on my burger, but didn’t say anything since it’s just cheese. For $25 a burger, and the board out front saying “best burger” it should be flavorful and good. I would not recommend eating here.

Nachos were great but the starving the show was our server Ashlyn. Wow. What amazing service and attention. Even brought my wife a Diet Coke to go with a lime on top!
Greg B — Google review
We decided to stop by for a late afternoon drink and to check out the dinner menu for that evening. Unfortunately, our experience started off on the wrong foot with a rather cold and indifferent reception from the hostess – it honestly felt like we were disturbing her afternoon. Inside the bar area, service was initially good until the shift change. The new waiter clearly had an attitude problem and seemed uninterested in serving anyone. When we were joined by some family members, we asked to move outside so our 1-year-old wouldn’t disturb other guests. This request was met with more attitude and a visible lack of enthusiasm from the waiter. Once we moved outside to finish our drinks, no further service was offered. We eventually had to go back into the bar area to ask for and settle the bill ourselves. Needless to say, we didn’t return to the Red Lion for the rest of the week. Fortunately, there are plenty of other pubs and restaurants in the area that value their patrons and genuinely appreciate the business.

Up the Creek is a charming restaurant located by the serene Gore Creek in Vail. The warm and inviting dining room offers a farm-fresh American menu, featuring seasonal mountain-town favorites like pan-roasted trout, braised short rib, and bison tenderloin. The restaurant also boasts Vail's only creekside patio, where guests can savor their meals while enjoying the picturesque setting. For Thanksgiving, Up the Creek offers a special three-course dinner at an attractive price.
Made a 12:30 pm reservation so I could ski in the morning then walk over for lunch. I recommend this place. I’ve been coming here for at least 15 years and it’s always delicious. Started with the truffle fries which came out quick, which was nice. I was hungry from skiing. The arugula and pear salad good. The short ribs are good but I usually get the trout. Just order dessert. They are all good. I ate the dessert before I took a picture. During the summer this place is great as well. Sit outside along the creek for a nice lunch or dinner.

The service was fabulous, Francisco was super friendly and attentive at all times... the food was great... we loved the carpaccio... the only thing is that they bring out the main menu at 4pm... very late after lunch time. But they still managed to bring us 1 main dish.

Considering the prices, Im very disappointed. First thing was that the host wasn't very friendly. Next, our food took about 45 minutes to come out and there was no apology or attempt to make it right. The worst part was that the food was so mediocre. To pay as much as we did, and wait as long as we did, for a sandwich that had basic deli meat and cheap bread was so upsetting. The fries were so basic, like fast food mcdonalds type of fries. Also, my 4-year old's kids meal was $25. Which wouldn't be a problem if the food and service reflected the prices properly, but it didn't. The only nice thing about the place was the atmosphere.
Kristy S — Google review
Good food but the menu doesn’t change much. For the price I might expect a little more inspiration on the menu. But the service was good and location was great with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
TravelR — Google review
Up the creek but definitely not without a paddle. The seared duck was paired amazingly with the sweet potato and fig sauce. The asparagus was tender and flavorful. While the broccolini was somewhat lacking the bone in pork chop and garlic mashed potatoes were superb. The real star of the show was the bacon jam that was paired with the chop. The drinks could be improved, only one beer on tap and a limited selection of wine by the glass. The manager was attentive but the servers could stand to have their attire reviewed. At $50+ per plate I dont want to see my servers boxers. Overall very happy with our experience. We will definitely be back to try more.

We loved this place because it was quiet and calm, compare to other restaurants in Saturday afternoon. The tartar was good, the gyro was good, we also shared the brownie which was awesome. I would rate my martini as 3/5, but I probably misheard what kind of vodka they use, I would ask for alternative.

We love going to Up the Creek! Been here several times and every time the service and food is outstanding. I love that it’s a laid back vibe with a classy menu. Right next to the creek it’s always peaceful. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. Here’s our favorite dishes (honestly you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!): scallops and prawns, mac & cheese, pork chop, elk, non fried calamari and the whipped butter with the dinner bread is so good! Not only do we love eating here for everyday occasions, we also hosted our wedding welcome party at Up the Creek. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food and awesome service. Mike and team were so great to work with and they created a killer custom menu for our event 💯

Nestled within Vail's transportation center, La Cantina is a casual eatery that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. Despite its unconventional location, this unassuming restaurant offers an array of delectable yet reasonably priced Mexican dishes. The house special, green chili, imparts a comforting homestyle flavor to their offerings. While there are numerous Mexican restaurants in Vail, La Cantina stands out for possibly serving the best rellenos and burritos in Colorado.
Good food, good prices, fast serivice, salsa bar, good location. As per food I'm satisfied, portions are big and flavor is satisfactory. Recommend

Okay this is the only bargain hole in the wall in Vail and the food is excellent and the drinks are excellent and everything is reasonably priced you can get a really nice margarita for $7.95. to tacos that are delicious but small for less than $7 nice burritos that are under $10. There is bar seating as well as quite a few tables. The six or so salsas they have are amazing I didn't try the very hot but I tried the hot and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place simply because of the value and the quality of the food you can't beat it in this area.

Go to Mexican food when visiting Vail. Sleeper of a restaurant given the location inside the parking garage. Have eaten large majority of the menu and it’s always amazing: taquitos, crispy tacos, enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, nachos. Recommend the beef option over chicken but chickens still good. For those who leave poor reviews on hamburgers, it’s a Mexican food place… Note - this is somewhere in between Texmex and Arizona Mexican food.

Not the most flavorful food - but wonderful service, low prices, and quick!

Simple spot located adjacent to the Vail Village Transportation Center serving authentic and delicious Mexican food. Incredibly affordable by Vail standards. Waiter and order taker Thomas (I hope I heard his name right) was so kind when he took a call from a customer looking for a bag she left behind. He walked around the restaurant several times checking everywhere and eventually found the bag and told her he would hold it for her behind the counter. Nice guy! would definitely go back to have more yummy food at this place!

The food is good for the price and comes out quick which is ideal if you're waiting on your bus. The only issue is some trashy locals treat the place like someone gave them the microphone and you have to hear their Jerry Springer takes. Crazy how people debase themselves in public like that.

Great takeout service. Hence the reason I forgot to take pictures of the food. My friend had the breakfast burrito which was quite good as I also took a bite. As a gym rat I had to cut on calories which is why to all people looking for a protein hack, all you have to do is order a “side” of eggs and ask them to put bacon. It’s a little cup with a good amount of eggs and slices of bacon. Straight fuel and protein. The aesthetic is really cool and the flowers right now in the summer give it a really cool touch. Always somewhat busy.

My family went here for brunch and it was amazing! Best food we've had on our trip so far. The croissant French toast was DELICIOUS. It was so flaky. Here’s a casual version for your new review: ⸻ Review: We loved the beautiful mountain view—it made the evening extra special. We had the octopus and the halibut, both cooked perfectly. Paired it with a nice bottle of wine and couldn’t have been happier. The service was excellent, making the whole experience just perfect. ⸻ Do you want me to make this slightly longer with more descriptive words for the food and wine, or keep it short and simple like this?

We really enjoyed our lunch! The scallops were tender and perfectly cooked, served on a delicious bed of lentils. I also tried their signature hot chocolate — sweet like most chocolates, but the presentation was cozy and beautiful. We first sat outside away from the fireplace, but once a spot opened up, the staff kindly moved us closer. The service was very polite and attentive.

Service was great. We had a great time in remedy bar. Their hot chocolate was a bargain. It was my husband’s birthday and I wanted to give a small surprise with wishes, the lady who served us did an amazing job with the surprise wishes. She helped me make it a special day with my husband. Her name was Magdalene I guess. I wanted to leave a good tip for her but we were in a hurry to get somewhere else,so we ended up giving usual tip, and I felt sorry later. But the restaurant, ambience and service were amazing. Definitely worth a visit.

Grabbed a quick bite here after spa session. Food is absolutely delicious. We have had the octopus and shrimp starters which were both perfectly cooked. Today we tried the quinoa bowl and the remedy burger which were excellent. Burger was super juicy and oozed of umami. Fries were crispy and broke perfectly to the touch. Prior day we had the halibut which was great as well. Crispy top and bottom skin with moist center. Would definitely recommend this for those looking for a yummy lunch.

A “can’t miss” on your visit to Vail, but only for the hot cocoa. The restaurant is accessible as you enter the hotel. It features a variety of seating including lounge and outdoor seating. We requested “standard” seating on our reservation but we were sat at a bar looking out the windows. This was in the walkway from the host stand to the rest of restaurant and next to the service part of the bar and patio doors causing us to be in the heart of the restaurant’s foot traffic. It was not pleasant. Be sure to ask for an actual table because while the view was nice, I was anticipating an actual table and from my photos, there were many available. The outdoor seating includes fire pits. The food is standard - we opted for the goat cheese, ratatouille and crispy chicken sandwich. They tasted as expected. The hot cocoa is easily the best item on the menu and it is worth it to come for just that. Our server, Shayla, took great care of us. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. I would not return.

Great vibe for live music. Downstairs was buzzing on a Thursday in the offseason, they’re clearly doing things right. We popped in on a free acoustic set but I would happily pay any cover to support an establishment that clearly is invested in a quality live music experience. It was very refreshing to visit from Denver. The next time in town we will be getting down, at Shakedown.

Big thanks to Dave at the door who leaned that we were in a hurry to catch a flight and convinced Kort to get on stage, perform his original works and start taking requests! The acoustics in this place are STELLAR and the sound guy deserves a high five and a raise, at least! Even the bartender was a laugh riot, and put up with our rowdy group like a champ! Seriously, I wasn't expecting such an awesome low key venue in Vail, of all places. Where else can you find a guy playing Nirvana covers on an acoustic guitar while taking requests for songs he almost knows? No where else! Awesome times to be had!

Tavern On The Square, formerly known as Centre V, is a chic and contemporary New American restaurant and bar located within The Arrabelle at Vail Square. It offers a casual yet stylish dining experience with a year-round patio for guests to enjoy. The interior features rustic charm with oversized comfy booths, while the outdoor patio provides stunning views of Vail Mountain.
Awesome experience. The food was delicious, the place had lots of windows, so you could see the amazing show falling and a beautiful architecture while having a meal. Went the with wife and two daughters (3 and 13), we all love it. Service was fast and helpful. The food was not only really good, but it also looked fantastic.

Located in the heart of Lionshead, T^2 is welcoming and wants you walk in and get some grub! The only restaurant we went to more than once during our stay. They had a great list of food and drinks for some good food nearby. Ate some chicken and waffles for the protein, but really liked the bison burger more.

Tavern on the Square is a 5-star gem! We visited twice in one day, first for breakfast and again for cocktails. The breakfast spread was incredible, with an amazing omelet station and an impressive pastry selection. Later, Neil crafted an incredible espresso martini that was the perfect pick-me-up. But what truly made our experience special was the exceptional service from Jay and Neil - they were warm, attentive, and made us feel like locals. If you're in Vail, do yourself a favor and stop by Tavern on the Square. Be sure to say hi to Jay and Neil, they'll make your day!

We dined here while staying at the Arrabelle Hotel during our recent Vail visit. This restaurant is attached to the hotel and its outdoor seating has beautiful views of the slopes. Service was lacking big time. Food came very late and it was very difficult to get our server's attention. Waters were seldom refilled. In one word- Service was disappointing ! Coming to the food : We got Chicken Wings which were very different but not in a good way. I would rate them 7/10. Assorted dumplings did not have any dumplings. It had bunch of shallow fried shrimps, gyoza and chicken sate kind of appetizer . Very misleading menu item. Ordered quesadilla for my kid and it was not good. My wife ordered a Mezcal drink which was watered down a lot. The only saving grace were the desserts which I must say were truly mind blowing. The Toasted Pineapple Gelato was one of the best I've ever had ! (a big reason I am upgrading my review to 3 stars from 2 stars) and the chocolate bomb was amazing too. Overall - We will NOT return to dine in here but we will be back for desserts for sure if we are in the area !

There was a long hair in my food and the server did not care. We had to ask for a manager when we were charged for the food and when she came over she said she was never informed about the problem. She then asked if everything else was good and to have a good night. She did not care at all or offer us anything. She said sorry but it didn’t seem genuine. We will definitely not be back. Very poor customer service.

Short rib poutine only had two small pieces of meat. Service was bad. They brought the soup without a spoon. It took them forever to bring the spoon. They brought the drink after all the dishes came out.

The hours were wrong when we went. They stayed open a lot longer than what was posted online. The staff was friendly. We ate outside, which was nice. The indoor dining was not available, which was fine. The view is nice, the staff is nice. My son was not a fan of the burger. The grilled cheese was good. The Cobb salad was fine. Would not recommend the nachos. They do have a few gluten-free options, although a Cobb Salad was the best dinner choice for that. I noticed a lot of vegetarian options. They have a nice drink list, but none of us drank anything that night. They did refill water quickly, which was nice. Great staff.

We enjoyed a late lunch after attending the Vail Farmers Market. Choosing Tavern was a spur of the moment decision but one we didn't regret. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed a great view of the base of the mountain. The service was prompt, courteous, and very helpful in assisting us with our menu selections. The food was excellent including it's presentation. We would return in a heartbeat.

Located at the top of Vail mountain, "The 10th" is a chic restaurant offering modern cuisine and a full bar in a spacious lodge-like setting with stunning views. Guests can ski or bike directly to the elegant dining room for lunch, or take Gondola One for a more leisurely approach.
I was in Vail for a work trip with several colleagues and on a day when a few of us went skiing, we all decided to meet here for lunch during the day. The location and atmosphere is amazing, with great views of the mountains. The food was really good with a lot of ‘comfort food’ options on the menu which were perfect for a cold day, like pot pie, chili, etc. The only complaint is that it was a bit overpriced; and the cost for those not skiing to take the gondola up the mountain to mid-Vail seemed a bit outrageous. It was $60 round trip on the gondola just to go eat at the restaurant; and some of the prices for lunch were high, like $33 for a bowl of chili, $30 for a burger, and $30 for a pot pie. For the one time visit, it was worth it, but I don’t think it’s a place you would eat at every day if skiing here for several days.

Such a posh mountain dining experience! It was a real treat to break up a ski day and enjoy lots of room, nice service, good menu, great view, upscale bathrooms and even a coat room in this beautiful lodge. Reservations are needed, so you’ll want to plan ahead. Portions were huge and definitely shareable. The vegetable risotto was very tasty, and hot chocolate was topped beautifully. A top notch Vail experience.

One of the best veggie burgers I've ever had, the aubergine was melt in the mouth and so tender. Served with a massive portion of truffle fries. Shame the restaurant is so expensive, our bill came out to over $200 for four people to have a main dish and one starter to share. Our server was lovely and attentive. But what really sells this place was the insane views and lovely atmosphere on the mountain. We didn't reserve a table and we managed to get one, but in future i would reserve.

Best restaurant in Vail while skiing. Everything we ordered came out GREAT! Make sure you make reservations a couple of weeks in advance! I recommend the FUEGO Margarita and the steak salad. Kids loved their hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows ☺️

An exceptional restaurant with lovely views of Mid Vail. The service here is outstanding, even at the most busy of times. All of the food was excellent and I recommend trying the Truffle Fries and Chicken Pot Pie. Also, the Spatzel is grand. Make sure you have a booking as it is required.

Walk in, take your boots off, slip into some comfy slippers and enjoy your lunch. The menu is not extensive nor is the beverage list but that does not matter. Great views , polite and attentive staff, and tasty food. We worth taking time off from the slopes.

Fantastic experience each day for lunch on the mountain last year, yesterday, and today! It is the highlight of our culinary experience in Vail. Between the burgers, truffle fries, and chocolate chip cookies, it hits all the right notes. Kyle, the manager, has been nothing but friendly and a class act. Brett was a fantastic stand-in waiter on Tuesday. Adrianna did an outstanding job waiting on us Wednesday. Sophie was very helpful as a hostess. Let’s not forget Sasha, best bartender on the mountain. We will be back tomorrow!

The absolute worst hot dog I’ve ever had in my life. And it was $35 dollars… Pair that with rude, incompetent service and an already included 20% tip and you have a 1 star review. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

Loaded Joe's in Vail is a versatile venue that transitions from a cozy coffee shop and diner during the day to a lively pub with music and drinks at night. Recently relocated to a more spacious area near the Vail Covered Bridge, it offers ample seating for patrons to enjoy their coffee while people-watching. The establishment serves some of the best coffee in town, sourced from Seattle's Rococo Coffee Roasters, and features an affordable breakfast menu.
Came here during the week while shopping at the Vail Village. It was busy, but they were very efficient in taking the orders and starting each order right away. There were good options from hot or cold coffees and teas, also having fruit smoothies. We had a large party so ordered coffee, tea, and smoothies. It was a hot day, so I preferred the smoothies. There's plenty of seating here from the bar stools to the larger sofa sitting area. Service was very friendly and efficient. Nice place to come for a refreshment while at the Village.

I encourage you to improve your customer service experience at Local Joe's on Bridge Street. Every interaction is an opportunity to uplift and inspire. I hope you'll take this chance to reflect on the impact of your words and actions on others. Remember, kindness can transform lives. I wanted to support my local business, but I hope you'll understand why I won't be returning. Let's strive to be kind to people. The way you treated myself and my friend was extremely unkind and hurtful and I can only hope you don’t treat people like that daily. Be better.

Extremely disappointing experience- would not recommend. My partner, sister, and I visited Loaded Joe’s in Vail yesterday (10/17) around 5:55 PM, and I now completely understand why the reviews are so low. We went during non-peak season, so there was absolutely no excuse for how poor the experience was. The blonde woman working was incredibly rude and unhelpful from the moment we walked in. We had to initiate conversation and ask about the “Best Happy Hour in Vail” which was advertised in the Vail Daily and the main reason I chose this spot to show my partner around for the first time. Her response was, “The best I can do is the summer Coors Banquet special for $3.50… maybe like a dollar or two off some beers. Nothing else.” That’s it? If that’s what they’re calling the best happy hour, that’s incredibly misleading. Still, we ordered three Coors and I even tipped (I was a waitress for years and always try to show the utmost respect to service staff). We sat down to enjoy our drinks, and about 10-15 minutes later (at 6:10 PM) she came over and told us, “I need to sweep so I need to kick you out.” The place is supposed to close at 7 PM. When we mentioned we still had open beer cans, she said, “You can sit on the patio.” It was 38 degrees outside. We ended up finishing our beers freezing on the patio, completely baffled. I’ve been coming to the Vail Valley for years, and I’ve never had such a rude or uncomfortable experience anywhere. If you’re visiting Vail, go ANYWHERE else, even Benderz in Avon, where we always have a great time and friendly service. Loaded Joe’s completely missed the mark on hospitality and basic customer respect. Definitely will never be coming back and will certainly be telling all my friends who visit the area as well to stay clear. The poor reviews didn't lie!

The staff were extremely friendly, greeting us enthusiastically as we walked in the door. This larger location is a great improvement from the small basement space I fondly recall from years back. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast, latte, and a smoothly while reading the local Sunday newspaper they provided. Tim, went out of his way to accommodate us. We didn’t like the ketchup on the burrito - too sweet for our taste preferences.

Tim, You need to think twice before trying to embarrass, humiliate, talk down to and raise your voice to. My wife is my Queen. I do not and will never tolerate or allow someone to disrespect her, her friend, or their children.i hope you understand that had I been with her today, your disrespect would have been dealt with in person. I really hope you reply to this review yourself, and apologize to my wife, her friend and their children for the way you talked to them and disrespected kids. My review will be removed after that happens. If not, I have 6 more email addresses and an enormous following on social media. I’m actually thirsty for a coffee right now.

Love this coffee shop! Probably the best mocha I’ve had. Also, the staff was super friendly (and patient with our group) and the vibe perfect (amazing playlist too!). I’ll be back to try their sandwiches!

I was very disappointed with Loaded Joe’s in Vail. Given the location, I expected a classy and welcoming coffee shop experience. Instead, the blonde barista behind the counter was blasting music at an uncomfortably high volume. I politely asked if she could turn it down since I had brought my elderly grandparents with me, but she refused and told me that loud music was the only way she stays awake. This was incredibly disrespectful and made the visit unpleasant. Vail is known for quality and hospitality, but unfortunately this place did not live up to that standard. Would not recommend.

Excellent place for lunch! We were walking around looking for a place to grab a bite and after looking at their menu, this was the spot we picked. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was awesome. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Fall Line Kitchen & Cocktails in Vail has incredible food—everything we tried was delicious and well-prepared. However, the service left much to be desired. It felt inattentive and didn’t match the high standard of the food. What really threw me off was the tipping setup on their electronic machine. The default options start at 25% or higher, with no easy way to select a lower percentage unless you manually navigate through extra steps. It felt pushy and unnecessary. Amazing food, but the service and the tipping situation really dampened the experience.
Jen — Google review
The two reviews talking about “racist” and unable to get a seat with 6 people as a walk in have clearly never heard of a “reservation”. This is a small restaurant that almost never has room for walk ins. I’ve had to wait several times for a table as I don’t normally do reservations either. I frequent this restaurant and have loved it every time. The service is great and matches the vibe and pricing. I do think the tip machine starting with 25% as the suggestion for tipping is ridiculous, but you can always bypass it and do a custom tip. I’ll be back again soon! Cheers.

A wonder-filled time at Fall Line! We skied right into a dream of a dinner—starting with a round of fancy cocktails that deserve their own chairlift to fame. I floated away on the “Gone on a Purple Cloud,” while my crew got casually profound with a Colorado cream espresso martini and an old-fashioned that gave Buffalo Trace its best showing yet. The dry-aged Porch Chop (yes, you read that right—it’s what pork would be if it got its PhD) was pure savory perfection. We also cozied up with the beet salad (earthy and elegant), lasagna (layers of love), and crispy Brussels sprouts (bravo, brassica!). A final shot of espresso sent us off into the night with warm hearts and full bellies. Shoutout to our waitress Devon—a total gem who made our night pleasant. The historic ski photography gave us all the vintage Vail feels, and the busy corner view of Vail Village made the vibe feel just right—part postcard, part après-ski party. Five stars from this snow-loving soul!

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time! Fall Line Kitchen & Cocktails exceeded expectations from start to finish. The ambiance is upscale yet welcoming, the staff was attentive and genuinely kind, and the food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully presented — especially the [insert your favorite dish if you have one]. Their cocktails were creative and perfectly balanced too. Whether you’re going out for a date night, celebrating, or just treating yourself, this place delivers a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

Wow! What a great spot with very impressive menu. The wedge salad is state of the art! With quail eggs, thick cuts of bacon (more like fried pork belly) and loads of delicious blue cheese. Very savory and refreshing. It’s so big and filling, that we didn’t even come around to order an entree. Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

The restaurant in Vail Village, Colorado, had an incredible atmosphere, just like the village itself. I tried amazing oysters for the first time and a deliciously fresh veggie bruschetta. The waiter gave us great tips on how to enjoy the oysters, which we totally loved. I would definitely visit the village and the restaurant again 😁
Jinal S — Google review
We stopped for lunch craving some onion soup (online menu not updated). The only soup available was tomato bisque - fresh and delicious. Very small portion though. We ordered fries x2. The other portion was over fried - almost burnt. Overall the fries with truffles were very good, not greasy at all. I ordered burrata salad - loved pesto sauce underneath - I’d rather have burrata in a room temperature than cold straight from the fridge (that’s how you cannot taste the creaminess). We also had a burger - didn’t take a pic. Pretty high quality of food, a bit pricey I’d say. A tiny bowl of soup+fries+1beer - $44. Salad was $28.

Cozy, Relaxing Ambiance, and Friendly. When it is freezing butt cold outside, you want to have a cup of hot latte or hot chocolate inside. Small place but makes you warm inside. I don't drink coffee, so I had a cup of hot chocolate. So tasty!! It was perfect 👌 and my butt no longer feeling cold.

Amazing coffee and fantastic breakfast burrito. They were so welcoming and kind when I walked in to order. I had a cappuccino that was perfection and a bacon egg breakfast burrito. They were so quick and I claimed one of the corner cushioned seats and sat back with a good book. Amazing atmosphere! Highly recommend if you want a good strong coffee and nice place to sit back and enjoy the view from the window.

I am not sure if I had very high expectations walking in or if it just wasn’t what it should be. The atmosphere and the aesthetic is great. I am not one to leave anything except 5 star reviews but I do believe this place could work on a few things. The first thing that got me quite mad is how they only serve cold brew in one size. There are two sizes and they only serve cold brew in the smaller size. I asked her to please give me one in the larger cup, she said it wouldn’t be possible because she wouldn’t know how to charge me. Then I went to the extreme, I told her give me the large size and I will pay for two cold brews, I don’t care if I pay for two just give me the larger size, she said no. After all of that, and paying $8 (tip included) the cold brew they gave me just wasn’t good. The coffee simply didn’t taste good, this doesn’t come from a place of bad wishes for this place but from a place of constructive criticism. I review coffee places almost every week and this one just needs work. Especially on the cold brew if you are charging $6 a cup. I did like that there were quite a lot of options to choose from on the menu’s lineup including cocktails and others. I will most likely be back for ski season, I will give this place another chance due to it’s convenient location in vail, and if I notice the things are different, you have my word I will change this to a five star review.

The establishment has a laid-back attitude and friendly service, welcoming patrons to enjoy traditional pub grub on the outdoor deck or in the cozy interior.
The food is good, the staff are friendly and the prices are very reasonable being Vail, if you added a bit of grime and lowered the lights a bit it'd might be able to earn the title of a dive bar which would be a nice change in the sanitized world of Vail restaurants.

Atmosphere is like a chalet feel of wood n stone. Food was fine. Sloppy Joe was good. Chicken noodle soup was good. Pricey for the sandwich type food but we are in Vail Colorado. Daughter liked the salad. It was fine , the server was friendly. It was great to try. We were passing through to Utah.

Sloppy joe and beer. It really made my day eating a mean joe after a long flight. Quick easy bite, perfect for kids, families, or just a group looking to grab a drink. NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. We went for lunch with a 3 yo and 10 month old. The place was empty, we ordered food and drinks for me, my husband and my 3 year old. I fed my 10 month old baby probably 10 teddy grahams to keep him quiet while we ate. The bill shows up and they charged me $2 for "open food." Yes, $2 is a small charge, but for a place that says they're family friendly I think it's absolutely insane that they charged me for feeding my literal baby a few crackers. We'd ordered nachos and beers which is not exactly baby friendly, and the few little crackers kept the mess and also his screaming at bay so that everyone could enjoy their meals. I just think it's really tacky to do that. It's not like I rolled in with a McDonalds happy meal for a 10 year old who could have ordered off the menu. My 10 MONTH old baby couldn't really eat there anyway so why basically charge me a fee for bringing a baby to a public place. Seems like they wanted to make a statement about my young family not being welcome there, and folks should be aware of that considering Vail is a destination for many families. Eat somewhere else with your kiddos.
Stephanie P — Google review
I had a disappointing experience with an overpriced turkey and Swiss sandwich that cost me $18. I expected something a bit fancy, perhaps with better bread or more filling, but what I received was just two small slices of turkey, a half slice of Swiss cheese, and no condiments at all. To top it off, our group of three was hit with an automatic 20% gratuity. This feels unnecessary when the service charge is already included. In my 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, gratuity is typically only added for larger parties, usually six or more. In total, I paid $23 for a sandwich with minimal filling on regular white bread. I understand we’re in Vail, but their burgers are cheaper and come with way more food. Overall, I left feeling ripped off.

We loved our late lunch at Bart & Yeti’s! My wife and I explored Vail one afternoon and found this great little spot! I enjoyed my buffalo chicken sandwich and my wife liked her salad, but the soup of the day - sausage and leek - was amazing! We both raved about how good it was, and have commented on it to each other multiple times since eating there. Very nice staff and lots of good sports pictures on the walls.

We had a good lunch here! We went on a Sunday and it wasn’t too busy for lunch. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and my friends got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the chicken passion sandwich (I think that’s what it was called! It came with like a plum sauce). It was exactly what I wanted and the bread specifically is amazing! Had a local feel to it. The plum sauce was good too. It is sweet, but not too much and goes well with the chicken (or the fries!)

Alpine Pizza Company is a delightful find in the charming town of Vail, known for its unique take on Detroit-style pizza. This cozy spot began as a pop-up during the pandemic and has since become a local favorite. As you step inside, you're welcomed by friendly faces and an inviting vibe that sets the stage for an unforgettable culinary experience. Their signature pizzas feature crispy cheese edges and perfectly curled pepperoni cups, making each bite a savory delight.
A real gem!! It’s worth the wait 10x over. We headed over to Alpine after looking at the reviews of all the pizza spots. Detroit style was intriguing and my husband and I hadn’t tried it before. We got there around 6:30pm and they were already busy. Keep in mind people call in orders too so be prepared to wait for the crunchy gooey deliciousness that is the art of this pizza. The crunch of the crust is just ::chef’s kiss:: There was no shortage of pepperonis and so many in between the slices…they know what they are doing with those ronis. The sauce!! The sauce is light and fresh and not just tomato paste like some places. You can smell the garlic but no sharp taste. Really good! This is a walk in and order spot so get there early to snag a picnic table outside. You won’t regret it. There were lots of other people with pizza boxes walking by with shorter waits but I know they were going home depressed from the lack of deliciousness. Visiting from Texas! Saved for next time

I researched a few places before our mountain trip and one of the only places that I had to come to was this pizza shop. Detroit style is my favorite style of pizza and knowing the state of Detroit pizza being hard to master in Colorado - the reviews and photos I’ve seen preciously gave me great optimism. That optimism was lived up to after opening the box. Both my wife and I believe the crunch and base of the dough is what makes this pizza deliver on taste. The crunch and audible crisp nature was delivered on every bite - which is hard to nail for Detroit style. The toppings were plentiful and sauce was unique and not too sweet. Overall, I had to go tell the guy at the register that these were some of the best slices I’ve ever had. Great addition for Detroit style pizza in Colorado. If you’re in Vail, don’t look anywhere else for a pizza slice!

Pizza was yummy. By the slice was available for quick service (if ordering a whole pie they quoted around 20-25 minutes which seems reasonable). One thing to note that we didn’t realize was that there is no indoor seating and very limited picnic table outdoor seating. Just plan ahead if you’re going! Also, no fountain beverages available (soda in can and water in bottle available for purchase).

Alpine Pizza is a must-try! Get ready for this mouthful - the meatball hot honey jalapeño whipped ricotta cherry tomato pizza is a flavor explosion. It was their “Slice-O-The-Day”, but I’m tempted to order it from now on! My husband loved his classic pepperoni slice too. The outdoor seating is perfect for enjoying the beautiful views of Vail. The service was friendly - they answered the phone promptly when I had questions about parking, and they have a great selection of toppings and condiments. We highly recommend Alpine Pizza for a delicious and unique pizza experience!

Solid lunch specials, with slice options. Fairly affordable on the Vail scale. Pizza is light and airy, effort is definitely putting into the fermenting of the dough. Highly recommend get the habanero honey for dipping. Note - not a dine in type of place but plenty of public seating in the village.

We tried the cheese pizza and honestly, just found it to be okay, didn't get the craze. I didn't like their crust, it was too hard and different to chew. But I did love the fact that they haven some cool hot sauces and seasonings available.

We found this place during our recent stay at the Arrabelle at Vail. Its a short 1 minute walk from Arrabelle. The place itself is a small takeout shop and has a small Blue seating bench outside (which can seat 4 comfortably). Service is fast and friendly and pizza slices are out within 2 minutes. The pizza itself was amazing. I tried the pepperoni slice and it was one of the best slices of pizza I have ever had. The crust was crunchy and thick - exactly as I like. and I topped it with Hot Honey sauce they had and garnished with some chilli flakes. It was bomb ! They also had daily specials but I couldn't try more items as I was pretty full after 2 slices of pepperoni. A big Thumbs up and 5 stars !

Great atmosphere and amazing variety of beer. Definitely make time to stop by for some drinks. I visited twice during my stay in Vail Village!

Nice little brewery here in the heart of Vail. Basically had about 13 offerings but mostly IPAs, pale ales, and lagers but they had two blondes they're most popular being the hot mess blonde and it was average in my opinion having tasted many blondes 😂. They have pretzels and chips for sale and a nice water station indoor and outdoor seating. It's too bad they didn't have my favorite style of beer which is an amber or a red otherwise I might have hung around for the afternoon.
Paul E — Google review
I tried the lagers and blonde beers in a flight and I liked them all. You can't beat the view either. This is a fun spot. I'll definitely come back.

I stopped in here to enjoy a beer with my fiance while visiting the area. We got there a few minutes after it opened but the door was still locked, however we didn't mind waiting a little. The service was friendly and helpful when we got in and helped us choose beers for our flights. It was also pretty reasonably priced. We sat outside with the umbrella and enjoyed the great weather and area. I'd recommend a visit!

Nestled within the stylish Gravity Haus Vail, Slope Room is an upscale New American restaurant that has quickly captured the hearts of both locals and visitors alike. Opened just two seasons ago, this inviting eatery offers a delightful array of unfussy yet imaginative dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients. The ambiance is nothing short of enchanting, featuring sleek blue velvet banquettes and modern crystal chandeliers that create a sophisticated backdrop for your dining experience.
Great breakfast and solid service. Their breakfast burrito was a winner, thanks to the avocado sauce that was served with the wrap. Their espresso was also great, and their strawberry banana smoothie was nicely blended. The side of potatoes we ordered was a huge portion, and the sides of sausages were well cooked and seasoned. Their hot tea was also great. Great little eatery inside Gravity Haus.

The restraunt is located inside the hotel which is nice. We were a group of ten. We had drinks and appetizers. I feel like we had great service when we first got there then it got busy and we were on our own. I had to leave our table to find someone to bring salt and pepper. This is an expensive restaurant and the food was good not great. They boast about their steak but it is bland with no seasoning and not sure if they have a new person grilling steaks but they are not cooked properly. We asked for med and it was rare. Someone at our table asked for well done it was medium. We had to send it back 3 times. The waiter should have stood there when she cut through it the first time it was sent back. Instead we waited till he served others on the other side of the restaurant. He did take care of it at the end but this shouldn’t happen for an $78 steak. I don’t think I would spend the money here. There are so many good restaurants in Vail.

Best food in Vail so far for us, even better than the institutional hot spot if you what I mean. Bison steak ; perfect charred, temperature and salt level. The mushroom and savoy cabbage side dish blow the roof off. Service is friendly, attentive but also relax and not stuffy. The dining room is beautiful. Hope to come back next time when in Vail.

We had a lovely experience dining here. I ordered from the 3 course Fall menu and it was great. I had the tomatoes and burrata, trout for the second course and for the third course I got sorbet because I am gluten free. Overall our dining was wonderful. We loved our drinks and our server was very helpful.

The Slope Room offers an incredible dining experience! From the amazing drinks to the perfectly prepared dishes like the delicious trout and sweet potato fries, everything was top-notch. The service was fast and attentive—our waiter even turned down the fireplace when we mentioned we were a bit warm, which added to the comfort of the evening. Fine dining with a personal touch. Highly recommend!

Went for their New Years Eve Dinner. The bartenders and staff were on point. They were all working so hard and yet friendly. The food came out beautifully plated and the flavors well balanced. Only complaint nrom me was the Wagyu was over cooked. An tough. But they were super busy and I as a chef know sometimes its hard to keep the staff up and on top of it everytime. So things happen. I plan to return and enjoy their unique crafted cocktails and some wine and the charcuterie and other delicious menu items.

The restaurant boasts an extensive wine list and has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Wine Spectator award.
The service was absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the hostess with a warm smile. Adam our server did an amazing job explaining the menu and recommended a lot of tasty dishes for me to try. He also made great drinks! The food was cooked to perfection. I have been living in Vail for a few years and have tried many restaurants and this one is by far my favorite. From the moment you sit down to the moment you leave it is an incredible experience. I was in a food coma at the end of the night. The staff is amazing, you can tell they all really care and show great hospitality, very personal and attentive. The restaurant owner came to the table to make sure the food was perfect. She is so sweet. I highly recommend this restaurant as it is by far one of the best in Vail.

A good choice for a French restaurant in Vail. A combination of salty and sweet flavors from the selected dishes, the first course "Truffle French Onion Soup" was very tasty. For the main course, we ordered three of the options, and they were all really good: "Five Spice Crispy Duck Breast," "Heluka Pork Chop," and "Pan Roasted Organic Scottish Salmon." To top it off, the dessert "Profiteroles with Armagnac Date Ice Cream." I congratulate the waiter Gustavo, who served us with great courtesy and kindness

I thought it was a fancy restaurant, but it doesn’t seem like it. Food was nice, we had the escargot, very good. The filet mignon was nice, mushrooms delicious, but the croquettes were very soggy. Wine selection was decent.
Sylvie B — Google review
The service was exceptional, beyond expectations for any restaurant, more on par with a private club. The food was amazing, we had a large party and passed plates, the escargot, BBQ’d oysters, shrimp and artichoke appetizers were all amazing, the escargot was better than any I have had traveling in France. Dinner was equally exceptional, the scallops were amazing and my wife’s Black Cod was also exceptional. The wine list is one of the best I have seen, the wines are not chosen by popularity or label but by taste and quality. There are some great values! Overall excellent service and even better food and they really did go beyond expectations to accommodate a large party of 10!
Adam — Google review
We had a great time here tonight. All the dishes are not only unique, but everything ordered by our party was packed with flavor. One member of our group absolutely loves truffles and they were in heaven! As a bonus they also have a good kids menu.

La Tour, a charming French restaurant in Vail Village, has apparently been in operation at this location for twenty-six years. The menu consistently features locally sourced ingredients, such as "Palisade peaches" and local mushrooms. The chef, adhering to Julia Child's well-known advice regarding mushrooms, ensures the mushrooms are not overcrowded. Furthermore, the entire staff actively monitors and serves the tables, guaranteeing prompt service. La Tour is indeed an exceptional French restaurant where both the menu and food consistently meet expectations.

Moe's Original BBQ in Vail, located in Lionshead, is a laid-back restaurant and bar known for its Alabama-style pulled pork, smoked meats, and Southern sides. The 1,500 sq ft retrofitted space exudes a cool local dive vibe. This family-friendly spot offers award-winning Bama-style pulled pork, ribs, turkey, chicken, catfish, and shrimp along with tasty desserts and a selection of whisky & brews.
The best lunch we had in Vail! It's an Alabama style BBQ place and honestly the best wings I think I've ever had. It had really good flavor. The Mac and cheese was solid and the cornbread was exceptional. The ribs were really good as well. The coleslaw was okay, but everything else was fantastic. Worth a stop in during your trip for lunch.
Eric B — Google review
Food was really good. Mac & cheese wasn't hot at all. But still good. I would eat there again forsure. Except , I'm from Iowa & was passing through. Parked in lions head village parking garage in the 30 minute section. It's free
Phillip J — Google review
I actually did not have a chance to eat here. The food that was purchased was for a office visit I was attending. My only concern is that on the menu for the triple wide it's referencing that it will feed the five to six people I would strongly disagree with this and maybe put three to four. I had 15 people in attendance and ran out of food well before 11. Otherwise, the location is very accessible and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend based on that
David B — Google review
The food was fantastic. I can’t fault it. The staff were a little strange. Very laid back. We sat at the bar, and the girl serving us was in her own world. I’d have given this place five stars if their table system had been a bit more organised. Currently, it’s a free for all, which isn’t clear when you first walk in. We waited at the door only for people to walk up and take the free seats. We thought we needed to wait to be seated. Turns out you don’t and all the tables had gone by this point. The staff just walked by us without even making eye contact. Then we had to listen to the girl at the bar complain to anyone who’d listen about her job.
J T — Google review
Good BBQ, made the right way. Everything was great from here. My favorites were the pulled pork, smoked wings, and the marinated slaw. Having spent a chunk of my life in the Carolinas I am usually pretty picky about real BBQ. Moes makes the cut. Seasoned and cooked very well. The portion size to cost can’t be beat in Vail. Can’t wait to go back to Vail to return to Moe’s. 5/5 for sure.
Chris H — Google review
Food smells great...looks good as you're walking by. My recommendation...capture that picture and keep moving. The food was just ok; my problem is the workers and locals hanging out. The girl at the register made the guy in front of us a cosmopolitan and never once washed her hands. She was handling money/credit cards and squeezed a lime into the man's glass. He may not have had a problem with it but it goes against every level of cleanliness there is. The locals were obnoxious and spent a lot of time playing with the team members. Disappointed for Vail...Food wise - greens were good. Cornbread was cold and tasted old as did the supposed Banana Pudding. Shame...
Ty B — Google review
Incredibly delicious BBQ, awesome friendly staff, most if not all had Alabama connections. Unfortunately we only got to experience Moe's our last two nights in Vail, with all the outrageously overpriced and overrated restaurants that Vail is known for, Moe's is truly the hidden gem. I've eaten BBQ all over the South, this was among the best. The beans were a standout, truly delicious. All this food and a beer for $20, can't be matched!

The bbq sauce on the ribs is so good! You can pour as much as you like. Banana pudding was yummy! Corn bread a bit dry could with some sauce but other than that worth going to check out!

5-star experience at Vail Chop House! Started with the Caesar salad, which was absolutely awesome - the perfect blend of flavors and textures. The NY strip topped with béarnaise was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. And, of course, the side of fries was a great addition. Our server, Pablo, was top-notch - attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience seamless. If you're in Vail, Vail Chop House is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly, the steaks were cooked perfectly, as requested. They were tender, juicy, and very flavorful. However, one of the two steaks we ordered was too salty, while the other was underseasoned. The fried chicken was very dry. The side dishes were okay. The asparagus was particularly chewy in the stem.
Dingran W — Google review
You can’t beat the views! Had an 830pm reservation and watched the fireworks. Food varied. Lobster Mac and cheese was very good with TONS of lobster. The crispy chicken was dry and needed more flavor or gravy, waitress said she couldn’t provide more gravy because the kitchen was closing soon and they would have to make a whole new batch just for me Salmon great. Crabcakes ok, on the small side Drinks were strong and good. Hard to say overpriced, you’re sitting 50 feet from the gondola at one of the premier resorts in the region Service was generally rushed and impersonal. Menu snatched from us, no smile from the waitress. Tried to get us done ASAP and bill brought quickly. Had to beg for a coffee and was advised it wasn’t very good when I asked pretty please. Then told it was the last cup and don’t ask for more.

Excellent restaurant with a grape vibe. Great bar with lots of TVs live entertainment sometimes. I had the lamb chops and they were excellent. The wedge salad with salmon was also very good. I wouldn't recommend the cheesecake it was the small kind of cupcake size I prefer the wedge where the real strawberry sauce on top.

If you’re looking for a place right off the slopes to come and have a delicious meal, this is your place! During shift change from lunch to dinner, it’s a little slow. However, that is when we came and we still got excellent service. We had a few things go wrong with our order and our server was gracious enough to make it right! Let me tell you that our French dip, which is not pictured, was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The fries were amazing, and they weren’t even the truffle fries. I can’t wait to come back and try them. The bread, the beet salad, and the French onion soup were all phenomenal. I am ready to come back and dine here at dinner. It appears they have live entertainment as well, which would be so fun. It’s so nice to sit and watch all the skiers as you dine. The atmosphere is a lot of fun!

I apologize for taking so long to leave this review. I am forever grateful to the Vail Chophouse in Lionshead Village for an incredible evening celebrating my son and daughter-in-law to be on the evening of August 29, 2024. We were planning a destination wedding in Vail and I was in charge of the rehearsal dinner for 60 people and welcome party for 150 people. I had never been to Vail so most of the planning was site unseen. I worked with Stacy throughout the process and she continued to calm my nerves and make things easy for me. She helped me plan a beautiful Italian buffet, a nicely designed table layout, microphones for speeches, wine list and the Vail Chophouse’s very own homemade Limoncello at each place setting to cheers the special couple. She even brought in a chef from one of the Italian restaurants in the area to add a special touch to the meal. After dinner, we welcomed 150 guests with an incredible display of hors d’oeuvres and desserts. The indoor area worked perfectly, the bartenders took care of our guests Incredibly and the indoor and outdoor space was just perfect. Not to mention the beautiful view surrounding us. Again, I am forever grateful to Stacy and highly recommend the Vail Chophouse for any event. I also want to mention Joey. I met with him the day before the event to go over any last minute details. You could tell immediately from interaction with Joey and Stacy that they were very well-versed in putting together events like this. Their team of people did an excellent job. Don’t hesitate to book this place if you have the opportunity! Or just enjoy a lovely meal or apres. Love and respect to the Vail Chophouse!

Pretty solid overall! Had to wrestle my steak a bit, but the flavor was on point and the Brussels sprouts were so bomb. I tried the spicy margarita — and I love heat — but this one was a little too fiery for me. Next time I’ll stick with the classic margarita.

Friendly staff. view and location was great. Food was ok. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse Mexican food. Expensive for what you’re getting but what isn’t overpriced in Vail.

This latin restaurant is located at the bottom of the gondola in central Vail. A quick walk from the Vail transportation center. Coming down the mountain? There really isn't anything closer. I truly enjoyed all the food. The guacamole was the best I've had in the state. The lobster taco was amazing. I loved the combo fajitas. I sampled several margaritas. MI amigo, senorita flaca, and the Los passion. Enjoyed the view. Thanks to my staff, Gema and Juan. Yall were entertaining, professional, and hard working.

The food is alright. Good for a mountain town. The lobster tacos are delicious and highly recommended. The price for food is what most people will complain about. The drinks are Very good. The chips and dip were very good also. I’d recommend eating here. Best environment for a sit down and view of the mountain / skiers
Michael G — Google review
Great location right at the bottom of the mountain and for Vail I thought the prices were super reasonable. We were quickly served and greeted with chips and salsa. The queso was hot and creamy. I loved both my orders of the mini chilli relleno and lobster taco, both super fresh with great texture contrasts. For the queso and two small bites each, and a soft drink each the bill was $60. Definitely beats eating on the mountain.
Lily G — Google review
Food was okay - decent Mexican food for on the mountain in Colorado but it was pretty expensive and the service was just okay. I had to ask for chips and salsa at the bar after my meal had already come out. There was a lady working the bar when I first sat down- I think she was the manager or first shift bartender? but she wasn’t very friendly and seemed irritated to be working at the bar and the michelada she made me was really strange - it was too salty and overpowering the way it was served. The male bartender with long hair who took over for her after I ordered my meal was friendly and gave decent service and also gave me a side of Bloody Mary mix to go with the michealada which helped. Overall this was pretty mediocre Mexican food compared to the stuff I can get back home and it was overpriced but the chili verde soup was great and really hit the spot after being on the slopes all day.
Bavard R — Google review
3 stars only because of how expensive it is and how the staff keeps bugging you.. I love staff who are friendly and who keeps an eye on what you need….but I hate it when they keep approaching you while you’re eating… asking me if I’m done with the menu or with the guacamole or whatever. The food was okay…. The lobster taco was my favourite…. The shrimp taco wasn’t that special and the fish taco didn’t have much flavour…. The chicken salsa taco tastes like canned tuna… maybe it’s because they obviously use canned chicken…. Other than that… the margarita mi amigo was amazing…. Loved it so much…. The rest weren’t special. Wouldn’t visit again. Maybe just for the margarita

Half the fun was just getting here. A ride up the Lionshead Gondola after dark, looking down on the lights of Vail was wonderful, followed by a short ride in the back of an enclosed, heated Snow Cat to the restaurant. The Blü Cow is a popular spot in Vail Village, known for its Swiss hot dogs and homemade soup. It's a family-owned establishment that has been serving the original Swiss hot dog recipe since 1967. The funky-chic hot dog stand at the top of Bridge Street has become an après hangout for locals, offering a cozy patio and warm cocktails like Chai Hot Toddy and Irish Coffee.
Delicious Swiss dog. Never tried one before and we were glad we did. The baguette, fresh arugula, mustard and hot dog were so good. Also came with a free beer. Bonus!
Susan S — Google review
We loved our spiked hot chocolate while waiting for our son to come back down from the mountains. Nice cozy spot with delicious drinks. Everyone was very nice and the place looked clean as well. Great spot to sit outside and do some people watching. Fairly small cafe so dont expect to have alot of room with a big crew. The area has a great atmosphere and we enjoyed the service as well. Definitely some great hot chocolate that we will be back for. Thank you l!
Brittany H — Google review
We were excited to try Blü Cow in Vail since we love unique, funky places. The décor was cozy and the Swiss Dog tasted good but wasn’t worth $17. Two hot chocolates and a soup brought the total to $68 — expensive but expected for a ski town. We were told the soup would take 10 minutes, but after 30 minutes it still hadn’t come. When we politely asked for a refund, the owner came out yelling at my wife in front of everyone, insisting we hadn’t waited long and being shockingly rude. The soup finally arrived as we were leaving — decent, but not worth the price or the awful experience. We’ve never been treated so disrespectfully at a restaurant. Overpriced food, long waits, and an aggressive owner — we won’t be back. It will be interesting how/if the owner responds. 🧐
Josh L — Google review
Such a vibe. Down to earth atmosphere, delicious, unique signature dog and great beer. Always a favorite after biking the Vail pass. Nothing like a few cold Trumers after some moderate exertion. Get the regular and ask for extra onion and parsley, you won’t regret it.
Denver G — Google review
I've been a loyal customer of Blu Cow for years, growing up in the Vail Valley and regularly bringing guests here after skiing. This place has always held special memories for me. Recently, I called to inquire about taking engagement photos here (something I've seen other couples do) and whether a photographer's permit was required. The first person who answered hung up on me. When I called back and spoke with the owner, they yelled at me, made me cry and hung up again. I was simply trying to be responsible by asking about their policies beforehand. The hostile treatment I received was shocking and completely unprofessional. As a long-time customer who has supported this business for years and recommended it to countless visitors, I'm deeply disappointed by this experience. While I have many fond memories here, this interaction has permanently changed my perception of how this establishment treats its customers. g
Rachel L — Google review
Had a small get-together here for my girlfriends birthday yesterday. We drove in from Colorado Springs and met with others who drove from Grand Junction. The owner was incredibly accommodating and welcoming of us showing up with short notice to have a small event at her establishment. The food was wonderful, and their coffee drinks were phenomenal. I look forward to visiting here again!

Nestled within the elegant confines of The Sebastian Vail hotel, Frost Bar is a chic destination that perfectly blends sophistication with a laid-back vibe. This stylish bar invites you to unwind after a long day, offering an impressive selection of craft cocktails like the refreshing L Train and the zesty Laughing Buddha. With its inviting low-light ambiance, Frost is ideal for both intimate gatherings and lively nights out with friends.
Super accommodating and friendly staff. Fish and chips were delicious. Pizza was nothing special but pretty good overall. Pricy, but so is everything in Vail.
Charlie A — Google review
Their desserts are amazing! Don't be shy and ask for options outside their menu... their carajillo is fenomenal and it's not on the menu! The staff that helped us was super nice and attentive.
Paola L — Google review
OMFG! For a bar that's so heavily marketed on social media, attached to a high end hotel, and demanding $20+ per cocktail, it was total amateur hour and the worst experience we've had in Vail (been coming to Vail for over 40 years.) I figured we were in trouble when the bartender was more interested in the game than service. Then, on a Holiday weekend they couldn't serve my wife a single drink she ordered (hint: COVID supply chain issues are over, this is yet another indicator of very poor management.) So I get my drink and my wife can't get anything she wants, so we inform them we're leaving and we get attitude! This is NOT/NOT a high end bar. It's a bunch of dudes playing pretend and expecting big tippers for poor service. AVOID!
Mark M — Google review
The place is nice, I ordered a Belgium hot chocolate that was delicious, the staff was ok.. after out first drink they didn't ask us if we wanted something else.
Alejandro A — Google review
Drinks were absolutely amazing. Service was slow despite there being only three groups and three staff members. Other than that, it's very expensive and the lights are a little too bright.
Sean A — Google review
Great atmosphere. Good for medium sized groups or just a few friends hanging out. Lowlighted ambience with a bar and tables. Wide drink selection with many interesting cocktails. The bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable. Slightly on the pricey side but that's expected in Vail.
Sean O — Google review
Walked into establishment. Sat down at an empty bar room. Within 2 min upon looking at the menu, the bartender gave us all an "experimental drink" to our table. She was asking us what we thought of the drink as she wanted it to become a part of the menu. The bar tab included that "free experimental drink" $18 drink. Will never return.
Eric R — Google review
While the drinks were great, the service was pretty horrendous. Don’t waste time ordering food, as it is made in a different part of the hotel it takes close to an hour for orders, where most of the food is ice cold. We had to chase down our server for water or ordering drinks repeatedly. Not worth the hassle.

Northside Kitchen Grab & Go is a great place to get affordable food and drinks. They have two locations - one in Avon, Colorado and another just off the -70 West Vail exit. Breakfast is amazing there and they turn into a romantic restaurant at night.
I can't wait to go back! This place has tasty burgers, delicious fries, great music playing and the staff is kind and helpful. It's kind of like a little market/grab n go. 1,000 × better than picking up food at a gas station. The food is cooked on the spot and I absolutely loved it!
Suleyka W — Google review
We loved this place! Gluten free options available! We ate here twice for breakfast and once for lunch and definitely will be coming back. I liked that food was able to be made gluten free on normal bread and the food all tasted great! The gluten full food was good too (so I heard!). Coffee was alright, prices all in all were good. I recommend!
Melissa ( — Google review
Short menu but very well done. Awesome food. This Rueben was incredible! The homemade fries were also very good. I highly recommend this place if you don't want to blow your whole wallet on lunch in Vail but want something to satisfy!

One thing that I love about this place is that there are great options for every time of the day 👏🏽👏🏽 And the service is delightful. They always take good care of customers, more if you sit on the bar 😉

Suuuper spendy for a couple breakfast sandwiches and an iced coffee, but they tasted great and we're made to order.
Joshua S — Google review
Unbelievable value for the area! Costs about 25% of what similar food would cost in vail village - get an entire meal here for $9-$13. Despite the low prices, their food is delicious, especially the fries and salads - which are huge! Most of their food is prepared “to go” but they do have tables and will warm it up for you if asked.

The Grill On The Gore is a restaurant located in the Vail Golf Clubhouse, offering stunning views of the Gore Range. The menu features a variety of appetizers like sriracha agave wings and brisket quesadillas, as well as hand-crafted sandwiches such as blackened salmon banh mi and smoked ribeye cheesesteak. Additionally, they serve salads, Colorado craft beers, signature cocktails, and locally sourced gelato for dessert.
We are absolutely in love with The Grill On The Gore!! My husband and I are in town for only two nights and we had to come back for lunch a second time because the service from Kat and the food is outstanding!! We relaxed on the patio and watched the views as we ate as much as we possibly could off the menu. On the first day we had the eggplant Parmesan sandwich and the fish tacos. Kat brought us a delicious appetizer of curry hummus with cauliflower chips. Everything tasted amazing! On the second day, I had the eggplant Parmesan sandwich again and my husband had the cheese steak sandwich. We also decided to get two desserts, which was no mistake because they were so delicious! I wish I can eat here every week. Thank you Kat for providing us with the best customer service!

Vail golf clubhouse is a very different vibe than the Village and food prices are better. We shared a Cobb salad. Plenty. Great views of Gore range. Female bartender inside is one of the best and very nice.

Surprisingly good Mahi fish tacos, the atmosphere is also second to none (obviously), and Kristen is the sweetest lady. Great service all around. Will be capping of my rough golf round here every time I come out to Vail!
Benjamin B — Google review
We had a wonderful experience there! We were a little worried about eating at a clubhouse and being underdressed since we were traveling, but our waitress Kristen spotted us and was all smiles. The food was delicious, and my mother and I agree that they have the best fries we’ve ever had.
Danny D — Google review
The food and atmosphere were really awesome class above. Razvan was our server and he was great! He went out of his way to ask the chef to come meet with us and discuss one of his delicious recipes with us, and he was very attentive. Can’t say enough nice things about him.
Michael R — Google review
My son-in-law, granddaughter and I had a delicious lunch after her golf lesson. I ordered my favorite dish- a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. It was absolutely the best that I’ve ever had anywhere! ELLIE and KRISTEN were our servers. They were great! They were relaxed and attentive giving us the right amount of attention. Tim S. also stopped by our table. I know his parents. I was so impressed with the professionalism of all the workers! Everyone should have to work in a restaurant to see what knowledge and skills are needed to please the public. PLEASE give high kudos to these young people! They were wonderful! Patty Franke

The head staff and servers were so friendly. I want to especially mention Kristen. She went above and beyond to make our experience truly great. We were a table of 10 and she rolled effortlessly to all the questions and requests. You have a “Gem” at your establishment with Kristen.

Bridge Street Bar is a casual Vail Village bar that features live music and a lively party scene. It can be very energetic, with a young crowd who enjoys dancing. The bar is small, but it offers two rooms with different vibes - one for live music and another for a club scene with pole dancing. It's a great place to go before a game or to have some fun in Vail Village itself.
Awesome time for a late night after a wedding! Two totally different vibes in the different sections of the bar - one live music, and one club. Both vibes were great and we had such a fun night. The incredible part of the experience was working with Todd, the owner, as he went completely above and beyond to help me get my jacket back after I accidentally left it at the bar. He is truly a gem of a human, and I cannot tell you how greatly I appreciated his help and kindness! Faith in humanity was majorly restored! I would give a million stars if I could!
Blake E — Google review
Went to this place. Had a $10 cover and there was no one there. Honestly if you go to vail don’t ever go to this place. The service is horrible and the bartenders are awful. Go anywhere else
Stephen C — Google review
Bridge Street Bar in Vail has that cool underground vibe. It’s a decent spot to grab a drink and enjoy some music—not mind-blowing, but worth checking out if you’re in the area and want a laid-back night out.
Carlos S — Google review
Only losers will give this place a bad review. This is the best it's gona get for a little town. It's so much fun. It's tiny but you have 2 rooms with 2 very different vibes. Live music or a club scene w pole dancing lol. We went there every single night we stayed in vail. We pregame at a bar , then head to Bridge Street bar. Bartenders were nice. Door guy saw so many days that he stopped charging us $10 to get in. We bought bottles one night. We had a blast.
Rogner Q — Google review
We didn t feel rushed at all.
Manfred P — Google review
Bartenders were efficient and doing amazing for the abundance of people being tended to! (It did take awhile to get a drink though). This place was just an awful experience for me. Gratuity is automatically added to bill (just informing). The crowd that was here were atrocious to me and the place is very small.
Alannis J — Google review
Been out here for 3 years. Showed them my mailing address, library card, and employee id and would still not give me a local card. Fun spot if you're into clubbing and such but I don't think I'll be back again based on my recent experience. The guy just seemed like he had a bad day and did not want to let me in. He's just doing his job so I get it. Maybe he's going through something.
John G — Google review
They just don't care anymore. This is meant to be Vail's best place for nightlife and it was underwhelming at best. Was going to get a table for New Years, but I'm not waisting anymore money at this place. I'm a long time vail local, been going here for ages, but something has changed and for the worse. Bartenders are not trained very well on Customer Service, Pour-Count (Every drinks I had was a different pour count which could be saving or costing the business money), or anything remotely close to being a good bartender. Maybe it was just the night, but I felt more like a nuisance than a wanted customer. I'm never one to wave down a bartender, I observe and saw they were pretty busy and will always be patient with that. But, when they lose there patience just looking at a customer, I'll spend money elsewhere. Check out all the reviews, they never reply to good or bad reviews and could probably care less.

Nestled within the Grand Hyatt Vail, Gessner Colorado Mountain Grill is a culinary gem that beautifully marries local flavors with a cozy dining atmosphere. This restaurant elevates the classic s'more experience by offering an indoor setting where guests can enjoy delicious desserts featuring thick shortbread, house-made marshmallows infused with mint, and decadent chocolate cakes. With stunning views through expansive windows or intimate booths for a more private feel, Gessner creates an inviting ambiance perfect for any occasion.
Visited last week with my sister and friends and had lunch at the bar to kick off our trip, and truly had the best time. Wayne made our time so wonderful. Best dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives I have had in MONTHS! He was lovely and personable and made sure each of us was taken care of. Can’t complain about the food at all compared to some of the reviews I’m reading, we all thought their lunch offerings were great! Thank you Wayne!
Sloan K — Google review
Me and my family visited Gessner last weekend for dinner while staying at Grand Hyatt. The ambiance is really nice, very classy with those mountain views, but the food was a bit hit and miss :( We ordered the chicken breast, which I was really looking forward to. The meat quality was good, no doubt, but it was lacking that punch of flavor. it felt a bit bland, like they forgot to add something. My wife got the pesto pasta, which was better, but still too dry for our liking. It had good flavor, but needed more sauce to make it perfect. Service was excellent. The presentation of dishes was nice, though, and the place is super clean and fancy. Overall, it was above average.
Sushil P — Google review
Dinner is much better than lunch. I like the tenderloin and scallops. I like the salmon. Mango sorbet is good. Not too sweet
Hina C — Google review
The breakfast was delicious and satisfying. I particularly enjoyed the fresh combination of eggs Benedict topped with asada meat—a unique and intriguing blend of flavors. (If you're vegan, the eggs Benedict wouldn't be an option, of course.) The potatoes served alongside had a generous amount of seasoning, which made me cough a bit. The omelet was pretty standard. The coffee was good, and the orange juice tasted freshly squeezed, which was a nice touch. While it's not an "amazing" restaurant, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the interior design was beautiful.

Amazing dining spot inside the Grand Hyatt Vail! This place is perfect for a relaxed meal with a view you can dine while enjoying stunning mountain scenery or the peaceful sound of the nearby creek. We ordered the Elk sandwich and the Mushroom wrap with Caesar salad both were flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The portion sizes were generous, and the ingredients tasted high-quality. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you are staying at the resort or just visiting Vail.
Vinita N — Google review
We stayed at this hotel and had breakfast and dinner a few times at this restaurant, and our experience has been great—food was always delicious and environment was pleasant, though sometimes the service in the morning was kind of slow. Not sure why it has low ratings, but I would say it is just as good as many other high-rating restaurants in Vail Village or Lionshead Village if not better.
Tiffany L — Google review
We've been to this place severeal times during our stay at the Hyatt—for lunch, dinner, and drinks—and every visit has been a great experience! The service is consistently friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We've tried several dishes, including the grilled chicken breast, chicken wings, bison chili, and beet salad—and everything was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The real standout, though, has to be their signature cocktails—each one we’ve tried has been expertly crafted and absolutely delicious. You can tell they put care into both the food and drink menus. Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot with great food, excellent drinks, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe!

We stayed at Grand Hyatt and, based on reviews, I tried to avoid going here. Since it was convenient for check-out day we had breakfast here. Food was amazing! I wish I hadn't avoided it. Our server, Carlos was PHENOMENAL!!! I'm not sure we'll get him again on a return visit but we will be back to the restaurant on future stays.

Nestled within the enchanting Sonnenalp Hotel, King's Club is a delightful escape that captures the essence of Bavaria right in Vail Village. As you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting ambiance reminiscent of a cozy chalet in the Bavarian Alps. The rustic wooden decor and traditional German artwork create a charming atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. With comfortable couches and arched doorways, this upscale lounge feels like your own living room away from home.
Located within the Sonnenalp the King's Club is a great spot, with an authentic German feel, to sit down and have a drink after a long day of skiing or hiking. We'll normally stop by the King's Club for a drink before dinner at one of the Sonnenalp's three restaurants on site. Their valet gives you 3 hours of free parking as long as you dine at one of the restaurants on property which is very nice!

Beautiful lounge w live music every night starting around 7. We refound songs we love but had forgotten, per the guitar soloist last eve. Perfect mellow place to have a nightcap, or even dinner + cocktails. Classic Bavarian wood architecture, intricate details, and the kindest staff you’ll ever meet. ✨

We spent the last 2 nights enjoying the music by Kevin and John! Wonderful musicians with great voices and a vast selection of music! Truly the best spot in Vail for live music! We ate dinner for the first time in Kings club and were totally blown away by the presentation! The meals were fantastic! I had the Bass and my husband the Filet....incredible! To top off both nights we had the sweetest most attentive server, Huthesia! We wish her all the best in her future and with her personality she will go far. All in all the Kings Club is Vail gem!

Dinner and drinks here was one of the best and most unique experiences I have ever had. The food and service were fantastic, and the music was incredible. The Fade Outs, a wonderful piano and cello duo, perfectly complemented the atmosphere.

It took 25mins for the server to tell us the wine we ordered was out of stock. They gave us a “comparable” bottle of RED that was freezing. The music was good but the service and the price did not align for vail. I would not go again or recommend anyone to visit. They did give us two free glasses after the fact. But still.. they were not comparable. Very disappionting especially for Vail.
