The Little Diner is a cozy spot located in Lionshead Village, right next to Vail Village. You can easily walk between the two or take a quick free bus ride. Sitting at the bar allows you to watch the food being prepared and helps with decision making. The Farmer's Breakfast is highly recommended, and you can upgrade to a delicious chocolate chip pancake for just $1.
The staff was very polite and swift to seat and serve us. They had good music and a friendly atmosphere. Croissant sandwich was flavorful, bun was fluffy and light. Eggs and ham were seasoned and cooked well. $12 for a sandwich is a fair price compared to nearby diners

Yummy, fluffy pancakes, enormous crepes with great cocktails. Try the Peanut butter Hot Chocolate with or without Whiskey, delish! Keep the strollers at home, their intimate space has a few 8 tops but mostly 4 tops. T

During our first of what will be many visits to Vail, our friends raved about The Little Diner for a classic and comforting brunch that hits all the right notes. My wife had the large, fluffy biscuits generously smothered in rich, creamy sausage gravy—savory and indulgent without being overwhelming. Accompanying the biscuits were perfectly scrambled eggs and a hearty serving of crispy hash browns, adding both texture and balance to the plate. Being an omelet fan, the Southwestern was a standout on the plate—beautifully golden and fluffy, filled with delicious chorizo, their specialty chili's (with more requested on the side), and chock-full of cheese. With both dishes, their crispy hash browns (watching how they were prepared) were a knock-out of the park. I was able to ask for a side of pancakes, and they were brought out early with our mimosas, which made for a perfect breakfast appetizer. Each component was well-prepared and flavorful, making the meal feel both satisfying and familiar. It’s the kind of brunch that reminds you why diners are such beloved staples—simple, hearty, and delicious. Plus, sitting at the bar not only gave you a look into how the kitchen runs, but also the friendly and regular touch from the wait staff. If you're in Vail and craving a traditional brunch done right, don't miss out on The Little Diner as a staple that's worth a visit.

Where do I begin? How about 2013 when my bride Julie and myself celebrated our first anniversary in Vail. We went to The Little Diner for breakfast. This was my first experience with eggs Benedict and I couldn't have tasted anything better! Since then, any time we visit we make The Little Diner our first stop. We had the pleasure of speaking with Brian (the owner) a couple times too. I've tried other eggs Benedict around the country and only Norma's in Palm Springs came close, but was still 2nd to The Little Diner. Our most recent visit brought us once again to The Little Diner and the eggs Benedict is still outstanding and Poncho throws down the BEST hash browns around! However, the best part of this trip was running into Jim Little on the shuttle bus on our way to The Little Diner! Yes, the one and only inventor of "Jim Little's Famous Eggs Benedict!!" What a sweet man. We spoke for several minutes and he encouraged me to try other items on the menu because they are ALL very tasty. 😳 What? Give up my Benedict? I said I would and will. Did I mention he's a Vietnam Veteran? Thank you Jim for your service and the wonderful eggs Benedict! The Little Diner...you can't go wrong. 🤗

A gem! The best seats are at the bar, which surround the kitchen. You watch them cook everything. The food is delicious. The staff is wonderful. Pictured: Bagel sandwich with tomato slices instead of meat and the vegetable omelette. The biscuits and gravy (not pictured) are so good—so good.

Way cool little dinner! Breakfast all day, and so yummmy! If your luck you might get Kenzie as your waitress shes amazing!!!

This place is everything you want in a diner! The pancakes were amazing, nice quality everything, super friendly and attentive staff! Coffee was great. I have nothing but great things to say about this place!♥️ wish Austin had something this good.
Amberly L — Google review
Fun atmosphere! Very entertaining sitting at the countertop watching the well oiled fast paced kitchen. My lemon crepe was wonderful, my bacon and chai were too. My husbands burrito he said was decent. He paid extra for green chili sauce bringing his burrito to $20.00 and didn’t get very much of the sauce and he said it had the texture of Hormel chili he thought the chorizo in it was ok but not anything special. The man behind the countertop was all business and seemed to want to rush our ordering and paying our bill. Subtly annoying but nothing that ruined the experience for me. I would go back but husband said he wouldn’t. They did a good job of serving the large amount of people coming in. Breakfast sandwiches and other items I saw being cooked looked very good.

Sweet Basil is a renowned dining destination in Vail Village, having occupied the same address since 1977. It has garnered a loyal following, including celebrity patrons like the Kardashians. The restaurant's elegant dining room and lively bar offer inspired New American cuisine and trendy drinks. Owner Matt Morgan, who started his career at Sweet Basil, has maintained its reputation while also opening other successful eateries.
We came to Sweet Basil the night after our wedding to celebrate. The food was absolutely amazing and was one of the best meals we have ever had in our lives. The gnocchi was so delicious we are still craving it one week later, and the toffee pudding cake was incredible. The service was excellent as well and we cannot wait to go back soon!

We came in for a late lunch and were really impressed by the food and the view. We had the heirloom tomato salad and I had the Argentine shrimp while my husband had the salmon. Each dish was so flavorful and well cooked. The shrimps were tender but still have a slight crisp and I loved how well cooked and flavorful the veggies in the dish were as well. Would come back again to try out other dishes if we have the chance

We spent three days in Vail. So many great restaurants. Sweet Basil is clearly one of the best. We started with a gnocchi app that was glorious. The pork chop and Salmon were prepared perfectly. The lemon/fennel dessert was out of this world. We sat at the bar and had a great time with Andy the bartender and other guests at the bar. Pretty restaurant!!
Bob K — Google review
Such a fun experience. Our server Bobby, was 10/10. Super helpful with the menu, very fun to chat with and guided us through our meal with ease. Food was playful and thoughtful and really show cased so many flavor combinations. The pasta courses we would recommend as well as the sticky toffee pudding. Thank you for showing me and my family from Virginia an amazing night on a thunderstorm evening.
Jessika Y — Google review
We stopped here over Labor Day weekend for lunch. We sat outside on the little patio and watched all the people passing by. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered the gnocchi in smoked tomato butter sauce with mozzarella and my husband had salmon with lemongrass rice. Both dishes were lovely and perfectly seasoned with a surprising variety of texture which made the dishes even more satisfying. I had a Mexican senorita cocktail and my husband had a blonde ale, both were wonderful.
Mrs K — Google review
We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Sweet Basil! Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Between our group we enjoyed the beef tenderloin, salmon, Iberian duroc pork, and the Dungeness crab bucatini—each one was perfection. For dessert, the toffee pudding cake was the perfect sweet ending, especially paired with an espresso martini or coffee. Our waitress, Lora, was fantastic—warm, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. She made the evening even more enjoyable with her recommendations and professionalism. The atmosphere is lively yet elegant, and it’s clear why Sweet Basil has such a stellar reputation in Vail. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!

Really good food in Vail! I wish they would have a soup or stew option but the things I have gotten are all great. Recently had the ricotta gnocchi and the shrimp la plancha. Both excellent. I'd round this up to 4.5 stars but the prices are too steep to give it a full 5.
Katie B — Google review
Wow! What a lunch. Started with a 1/2 btl of Guy Lamardier Grand Cru Bubbles with Truffle Fries, Crispy Shrimp & Calamari and Corn Cappelletti then moved on to a 1/2 bottle of Chateau Cantermerle with Ricotta Gnocchi and Lombardi Brothers Loin Burger. Great wine program; particularly like the great 1/2 btl selections. Everything was amazing. Staff professional and Friendly. Beautiful space. Will be back!

La Tour Restaurant is a sophisticated French bistro nestled in the heart of Vail Village. Chef-owner Paul Ferzacca showcases his culinary expertise with a blend of classic and modern French-accented dishes, along with elegant twists on American cuisine. The restaurant boasts an extensive wine list and has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Wine Spectator award.
The service was absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the hostess with a warm smile. Adam our server did an amazing job explaining the menu and recommended a lot of tasty dishes for me to try. He also made great drinks! The food was cooked to perfection. I have been living in Vail for a few years and have tried many restaurants and this one is by far my favorite. From the moment you sit down to the moment you leave it is an incredible experience. I was in a food coma at the end of the night. The staff is amazing, you can tell they all really care and show great hospitality, very personal and attentive. The restaurant owner came to the table to make sure the food was perfect. She is so sweet. I highly recommend this restaurant as it is by far one of the best in Vail.

Elegant upscale restaurant offering exquisite French-American cuisine, an extended wine list, outstanding service and cozy ambience. Generous portions, so we alway shared an appetizer and an entree.
Dasha E — Google review
A good choice for a French restaurant in Vail. A combination of salty and sweet flavors from the selected dishes, the first course "Truffle French Onion Soup" was very tasty. For the main course, we ordered three of the options, and they were all really good: "Five Spice Crispy Duck Breast," "Heluka Pork Chop," and "Pan Roasted Organic Scottish Salmon." To top it off, the dessert "Profiteroles with Armagnac Date Ice Cream." I congratulate the waiter Gustavo, who served us with great courtesy and kindness
Enrique A — Google review
I thought it was a fancy restaurant, but it doesn’t seem like it. Food was nice, we had the escargot, very good. The filet mignon was nice, mushrooms delicious, but the croquettes were very soggy. Wine selection was decent.
Sylvie B — Google review
The service was exceptional, beyond expectations for any restaurant, more on par with a private club. The food was amazing, we had a large party and passed plates, the escargot, BBQ’d oysters, shrimp and artichoke appetizers were all amazing, the escargot was better than any I have had traveling in France. Dinner was equally exceptional, the scallops were amazing and my wife’s Black Cod was also exceptional. The wine list is one of the best I have seen, the wines are not chosen by popularity or label but by taste and quality. There are some great values! Overall excellent service and even better food and they really did go beyond expectations to accommodate a large party of 10!
Adam — Google review
We had a great time here tonight. All the dishes are not only unique, but everything ordered by our party was packed with flavor. One member of our group absolutely loves truffles and they were in heaven! As a bonus they also have a good kids menu.

La Tour, a charming French restaurant in Vail Village, has apparently been in operation at this location for twenty-six years. The menu consistently features locally sourced ingredients, such as "Palisade peaches" and local mushrooms. The chef, adhering to Julia Child's well-known advice regarding mushrooms, ensures the mushrooms are not overcrowded. Furthermore, the entire staff actively monitors and serves the tables, guaranteeing prompt service. La Tour is indeed an exceptional French restaurant where both the menu and food consistently meet expectations.

Westside Cafe & Market is a popular local spot located in an across-the-highway strip mall. This cozy restaurant serves up delicious down-home cooking from breakfast to dinner, and is known for its Big-Ass Bloody Mary cocktail, which comes in almost-fishbowl-size glasses. The bar offers a variety of cocktails including the Bakon version with bacon-infused vodka and a kabob of pickled vegetables.
Our first time in Vail and a lot of restaurants haven't opened up yet. Our hotel is right across the freeway so we tried it out. Our first night here and we split a bacon cheeseburger with tater tots. Everything thing was excellent. Tots were chrispy and burger was cooked perfectly. Decided to go back Our last night in Vail, I had the beet/ arugula salad with grilled chicken and hubby had elk chili. Again, our food was excellent! Our waitress was great but we didn't get her name.

Delicious breakfast! The freshest squeezed orange juice, crispy hash browns (yummm!) great service & cute patio. Highly recommend!

The bavarian pretzel was nothing special, something you can get in the frozen section of the groceries store. The Bison burger was cook perfectly and the French fries with them were plenty. The grilled chicken sandwich was big and juicy. The sweet potato fries were good.

Excellent food. Great atmosphere and service. The orange juice is a must try! I think the price is actually reasonable for the area. Give it a try, I highly recommend

Yesterday I had the best breakfast here since I relocated to Colorado almost a year ago. I love breakfast & brunch and I’ve visited at least 10 different places but none of them can compare to Westside. The food was flavorful, yummy, and the portions were everythang! And Alisha was such a great waitress…I wish there was a location in the Metro Denver area because this place made my day!! I love breakfast for all three meals and this place would definitely be a place I’d frequent! Thank you for being the best part of our Vail adventure!

Service and food was pretty good. We were in the corner and got somewhat ignored until the manager came over to make sure we were taken care of. Nice place to eat inside of the hotel.

Nestled at the top of Bridge Street in Vail Village, Big Bear Bistro is a vibrant and cozy cafe offering a delightful array of breakfast and lunch options. The menu features an assortment of sandwiches made with natural meats and freshly baked breads, along with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices. Whether you're craving a hearty meat-filled sandwich like The Masterpiece or a lighter option such as The Tree Hugger packed with hummus and veggies, there's something for everyone.
Went to look for a nice cafe for breakfast and this place had vegan options and this place had a lot of great options! We liked it enough to come back for dinner too! Sandwiches are really good and vegan eaters have a menu as well as substitutes for meats in other items.

Great takeout service. Hence the reason I forgot to take pictures of the food. My friend had the breakfast burrito which was quite good as I also took a bite. As a gym rat I had to cut on calories which is why to all people looking for a protein hack, all you have to do is order a “side” of eggs and ask them to put bacon. It’s a little cup with a good amount of eggs and slices of bacon. Straight fuel and protein. The aesthetic is really cool and the flowers right now in the summer give it a really cool touch. Always somewhat busy.

Ordered the Mona Lisa, Big Bears take on the Caprese Salad, it was absolutely divine. Flavor explosion in all the right ways! The rest of the family ordered the chai tea latte, chicken tortilla soup, the BLAT sandwich - all delicious

Great location, great food, great hot latte. Came in the off season and got a Masterpiece sandwich (I added an egg because it was breakfast time) and a pumpkin spice latte. Everything was delicious and I love the fresh baked ciabatta roll!!!

If I could give this place 10 stars on all I would. The atmosphere- sounds of river rapids, view of the river, dog friendly, view of a mountain. 10/10 Service-quick and friendly 10/10 Food-the Javidoo was phenomenal, the bread was fresh and crispy. The sandwich as a whole was sooo good. I could have had two.

My family went here for brunch and it was amazing! Best food we've had on our trip so far. The croissant French toast was DELICIOUS. It was so flaky. The omelettes, crepes and coffee were all really good. The service was really good, and they had a cute little patio we sat at that was perfect for kids.

If you're looking for a great place for a snack in Vail, Big Bear Bistro is a must-visit. The Masterpiece sandwich is simply phenomenal. I'd give it ten stars if I could! Just be prepared for Vail prices - we paid about $50 for two sandwiches, two drinks, and a small bag of chips. Still, the food is top-notch and completely worth the splurge.

Red Lion is a lively establishment that offers upscale American cuisine and live entertainment. It has been a part of the Vail community since 1963, making it one of the oldest buildings in the area. During the day, it's family-friendly, but at night, it transforms into a popular party spot with regional singer/songwriters performing live music. The atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming to everyone, from lifties to VIPs.
Have been coming here over two decades. Never disappoints. Went to Greece last year had lots of Gyros. The gyro at red lion is amazing, but French fries in it for the Greece experience.

We had wonderful food and service at the Red Lion! Vegetarian options at this restaurant are excellent. We ordered a veggie burger for me and a burger for my husband, and we both had the jalapeño style option. For dessert we shared the avalanche brownie. The portion sizes were large, we found the pricing to be reasonable compared to most other options in Vail, and our server was so friendly and fun. We also enjoyed the live music and outdoor seating.

Visited vail for the first time and had dinner at this fun and lovely place last night 9/28/25.What stood out the most was Michael's amazing service at the bar side.He was so nice and made us feel welcomed.I thought he was the manager but he said he wasn't but I believe he should be! Thanks again Michael for the amazing service. Keep up the great work!

Sat down at the bar. Bartender asked if we needed a menu. Told her no and that we just wanted a fountain drink. Bartender filled 2 beers for two ladies that came in after us. I let it slide. When she started to take care of another person that came in after us, I told her not to worry about my order. I couldn't tell if she heard me, so I said it twice. No response again, and I know she heard me but she still wouldn't acknowledge me. The 3rd time she grunted but still wouldn't look at me. Total disrespect. Never again will this place get my money.
BlueLightBandit — Google review
I had the crispy chicken sandwich with onion rings and it did not disappoint! It was so delicious! The only thing I would change is upgrading the cheese to Bongards (we’re dairy farmers here, so it matters) just by doing that would take the sandwich to a whole new level!
Erica H — Google review
Was unimpressed with the food, I think I had higher hopes for it due to being in Vail. We ordered the Vail burger, build your own burger and two kids mini corn dogs ($10 each). The burgers had no flavor, very bland. My cheese was wrong on my burger, but didn’t say anything since it’s just cheese. For $25 a burger, and the board out front saying “best burger” it should be flavorful and good. I would not recommend eating here.
Courtney R — Google review
Nachos were great but the starving the show was our server Ashlyn. Wow. What amazing service and attention. Even brought my wife a Diet Coke to go with a lime on top!
Greg B — Google review
We decided to stop by for a late afternoon drink and to check out the dinner menu for that evening. Unfortunately, our experience started off on the wrong foot with a rather cold and indifferent reception from the hostess – it honestly felt like we were disturbing her afternoon. Inside the bar area, service was initially good until the shift change. The new waiter clearly had an attitude problem and seemed uninterested in serving anyone. When we were joined by some family members, we asked to move outside so our 1-year-old wouldn’t disturb other guests. This request was met with more attitude and a visible lack of enthusiasm from the waiter. Once we moved outside to finish our drinks, no further service was offered. We eventually had to go back into the bar area to ask for and settle the bill ourselves. Needless to say, we didn’t return to the Red Lion for the rest of the week. Fortunately, there are plenty of other pubs and restaurants in the area that value their patrons and genuinely appreciate the business.

It offers a casual yet stylish dining experience with a year-round patio for guests to enjoy. The interior features rustic charm with oversized comfy booths, while the outdoor patio provides stunning views of Vail Mountain.
Awesome experience. The food was delicious, the place had lots of windows, so you could see the amazing show falling and a beautiful architecture while having a meal. Went the with wife and two daughters (3 and 13), we all love it. Service was fast and helpful. The food was not only really good, but it also looked fantastic.

Located in the heart of Lionshead, T^2 is welcoming and wants you walk in and get some grub! The only restaurant we went to more than once during our stay. They had a great list of food and drinks for some good food nearby. Ate some chicken and waffles for the protein, but really liked the bison burger more.

Tavern on the Square is a 5-star gem! We visited twice in one day, first for breakfast and again for cocktails. The breakfast spread was incredible, with an amazing omelet station and an impressive pastry selection. Later, Neil crafted an incredible espresso martini that was the perfect pick-me-up. But what truly made our experience special was the exceptional service from Jay and Neil - they were warm, attentive, and made us feel like locals. If you're in Vail, do yourself a favor and stop by Tavern on the Square. Be sure to say hi to Jay and Neil, they'll make your day!

We dined here while staying at the Arrabelle Hotel during our recent Vail visit. This restaurant is attached to the hotel and its outdoor seating has beautiful views of the slopes. Service was lacking big time. Food came very late and it was very difficult to get our server's attention. Waters were seldom refilled. In one word- Service was disappointing ! Coming to the food : We got Chicken Wings which were very different but not in a good way. I would rate them 7/10. Assorted dumplings did not have any dumplings. It had bunch of shallow fried shrimps, gyoza and chicken sate kind of appetizer . Very misleading menu item. Ordered quesadilla for my kid and it was not good. My wife ordered a Mezcal drink which was watered down a lot. The only saving grace were the desserts which I must say were truly mind blowing. The Toasted Pineapple Gelato was one of the best I've ever had ! (a big reason I am upgrading my review to 3 stars from 2 stars) and the chocolate bomb was amazing too. Overall - We will NOT return to dine in here but we will be back for desserts for sure if we are in the area !

There was a long hair in my food and the server did not care. We had to ask for a manager when we were charged for the food and when she came over she said she was never informed about the problem. She then asked if everything else was good and to have a good night. She did not care at all or offer us anything. She said sorry but it didn’t seem genuine. We will definitely not be back. Very poor customer service.

Short rib poutine only had two small pieces of meat. Service was bad. They brought the soup without a spoon. It took them forever to bring the spoon. They brought the drink after all the dishes came out.

The hours were wrong when we went. They stayed open a lot longer than what was posted online. The staff was friendly. We ate outside, which was nice. The indoor dining was not available, which was fine. The view is nice, the staff is nice. My son was not a fan of the burger. The grilled cheese was good. The Cobb salad was fine. Would not recommend the nachos. They do have a few gluten-free options, although a Cobb Salad was the best dinner choice for that. I noticed a lot of vegetarian options. They have a nice drink list, but none of us drank anything that night. They did refill water quickly, which was nice. Great staff.

We enjoyed a late lunch after attending the Vail Farmers Market. Choosing Tavern was a spur of the moment decision but one we didn't regret. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed a great view of the base of the mountain. The service was prompt, courteous, and very helpful in assisting us with our menu selections. The food was excellent including it's presentation. We would return in a heartbeat.

Loaded Joe's in Vail is a versatile venue that transitions from a cozy coffee shop and diner during the day to a lively pub with music and drinks at night. Recently relocated to a more spacious area near the Vail Covered Bridge, it offers ample seating for patrons to enjoy their coffee while people-watching. The establishment serves some of the best coffee in town, sourced from Seattle's Rococo Coffee Roasters, and features an affordable breakfast menu.
Came here during the week while shopping at the Vail Village. It was busy, but they were very efficient in taking the orders and starting each order right away. There were good options from hot or cold coffees and teas, also having fruit smoothies. We had a large party so ordered coffee, tea, and smoothies. It was a hot day, so I preferred the smoothies. There's plenty of seating here from the bar stools to the larger sofa sitting area. Service was very friendly and efficient. Nice place to come for a refreshment while at the Village.

I encourage you to improve your customer service experience at Local Joe's on Bridge Street. Every interaction is an opportunity to uplift and inspire. I hope you'll take this chance to reflect on the impact of your words and actions on others. Remember, kindness can transform lives. I wanted to support my local business, but I hope you'll understand why I won't be returning. Let's strive to be kind to people. The way you treated myself and my friend was extremely unkind and hurtful and I can only hope you don’t treat people like that daily. Be better.

Extremely disappointing experience- would not recommend. My partner, sister, and I visited Loaded Joe’s in Vail yesterday (10/17) around 5:55 PM, and I now completely understand why the reviews are so low. We went during non-peak season, so there was absolutely no excuse for how poor the experience was. The blonde woman working was incredibly rude and unhelpful from the moment we walked in. We had to initiate conversation and ask about the “Best Happy Hour in Vail” which was advertised in the Vail Daily and the main reason I chose this spot to show my partner around for the first time. Her response was, “The best I can do is the summer Coors Banquet special for $3.50… maybe like a dollar or two off some beers. Nothing else.” That’s it? If that’s what they’re calling the best happy hour, that’s incredibly misleading. Still, we ordered three Coors and I even tipped (I was a waitress for years and always try to show the utmost respect to service staff). We sat down to enjoy our drinks, and about 10-15 minutes later (at 6:10 PM) she came over and told us, “I need to sweep so I need to kick you out.” The place is supposed to close at 7 PM. When we mentioned we still had open beer cans, she said, “You can sit on the patio.” It was 38 degrees outside. We ended up finishing our beers freezing on the patio, completely baffled. I’ve been coming to the Vail Valley for years, and I’ve never had such a rude or uncomfortable experience anywhere. If you’re visiting Vail, go ANYWHERE else, even Benderz in Avon, where we always have a great time and friendly service. Loaded Joe’s completely missed the mark on hospitality and basic customer respect. Definitely will never be coming back and will certainly be telling all my friends who visit the area as well to stay clear. The poor reviews didn't lie!

The staff were extremely friendly, greeting us enthusiastically as we walked in the door. This larger location is a great improvement from the small basement space I fondly recall from years back. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast, latte, and a smoothly while reading the local Sunday newspaper they provided. Tim, went out of his way to accommodate us. We didn’t like the ketchup on the burrito - too sweet for our taste preferences.

Tim, You need to think twice before trying to embarrass, humiliate, talk down to and raise your voice to. My wife is my Queen. I do not and will never tolerate or allow someone to disrespect her, her friend, or their children.i hope you understand that had I been with her today, your disrespect would have been dealt with in person. I really hope you reply to this review yourself, and apologize to my wife, her friend and their children for the way you talked to them and disrespected kids. My review will be removed after that happens. If not, I have 6 more email addresses and an enormous following on social media. I’m actually thirsty for a coffee right now.

This place totally made my trip! Great coffee, great food, and such a cozy little vibe. Exactly what you want in a ski town café. Highly recommend stopping in!

Love this coffee shop! Probably the best mocha I’ve had. Also, the staff was super friendly (and patient with our group) and the vibe perfect (amazing playlist too!). I’ll be back to try their sandwiches!

I was very disappointed with Loaded Joe’s in Vail. Given the location, I expected a classy and welcoming coffee shop experience. Instead, the blonde barista behind the counter was blasting music at an uncomfortably high volume. I politely asked if she could turn it down since I had brought my elderly grandparents with me, but she refused and told me that loud music was the only way she stays awake. This was incredibly disrespectful and made the visit unpleasant. Vail is known for quality and hospitality, but unfortunately this place did not live up to that standard. Would not recommend.

Up the Creek is a charming restaurant located by the serene Gore Creek in Vail. The warm and inviting dining room offers a farm-fresh American menu, featuring seasonal mountain-town favorites like pan-roasted trout, braised short rib, and bison tenderloin. The restaurant also boasts Vail's only creekside patio, where guests can savor their meals while enjoying the picturesque setting. For Thanksgiving, Up the Creek offers a special three-course dinner at an attractive price.
Made a 12:30 pm reservation so I could ski in the morning then walk over for lunch. I recommend this place. I’ve been coming here for at least 15 years and it’s always delicious. Started with the truffle fries which came out quick, which was nice. I was hungry from skiing. The arugula and pear salad good. The short ribs are good but I usually get the trout. Just order dessert. They are all good. I ate the dessert before I took a picture. During the summer this place is great as well. Sit outside along the creek for a nice lunch or dinner.

The service was fabulous, Francisco was super friendly and attentive at all times... the food was great... we loved the carpaccio... the only thing is that they bring out the main menu at 4pm... very late after lunch time. But they still managed to bring us 1 main dish.
Diana A — Google review
Considering the prices, Im very disappointed. First thing was that the host wasn't very friendly. Next, our food took about 45 minutes to come out and there was no apology or attempt to make it right. The worst part was that the food was so mediocre. To pay as much as we did, and wait as long as we did, for a sandwich that had basic deli meat and cheap bread was so upsetting. The fries were so basic, like fast food mcdonalds type of fries. Also, my 4-year old's kids meal was $25. Which wouldn't be a problem if the food and service reflected the prices properly, but it didn't. The only nice thing about the place was the atmosphere.
Kristy S — Google review
Good food but the menu doesn’t change much. For the price I might expect a little more inspiration on the menu. But the service was good and location was great with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
TravelR — Google review
Up the creek but definitely not without a paddle. The seared duck was paired amazingly with the sweet potato and fig sauce. The asparagus was tender and flavorful. While the broccolini was somewhat lacking the bone in pork chop and garlic mashed potatoes were superb. The real star of the show was the bacon jam that was paired with the chop. The drinks could be improved, only one beer on tap and a limited selection of wine by the glass. The manager was attentive but the servers could stand to have their attire reviewed. At $50+ per plate I dont want to see my servers boxers. Overall very happy with our experience. We will definitely be back to try more.
Scott B — Google review
We loved this place because it was quiet and calm, compare to other restaurants in Saturday afternoon. The tartar was good, the gyro was good, we also shared the brownie which was awesome. I would rate my martini as 3/5, but I probably misheard what kind of vodka they use, I would ask for alternative.

Super cute spot by the creek. They have mocktails. Dessert was good. It’s not particularly inexpensive but… you’re in Vail.

We love going to Up the Creek! Been here several times and every time the service and food is outstanding. I love that it’s a laid back vibe with a classy menu. Right next to the creek it’s always peaceful. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. Here’s our favorite dishes (honestly you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!): scallops and prawns, mac & cheese, pork chop, elk, non fried calamari and the whipped butter with the dinner bread is so good! Not only do we love eating here for everyday occasions, we also hosted our wedding welcome party at Up the Creek. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food and awesome service. Mike and team were so great to work with and they created a killer custom menu for our event 💯

Ludwig's Breakfast is an elegant and upscale restaurant located at the Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail. Overlooking Gore Creek from its glass-enclosed terrace, Ludwig's offers a full menu of European delicacies for breakfast. The restaurant is known for its sumptuous breakfast buffet featuring a wide variety of options such as eggs cooked to order, sausages, French toast, waffles, empanadas, and chilaquiles.
Came here for brunch and was so impressed with the selection, quality of the items, and the notation of numerous gluten free options. Our server Mary was exceptional! She helped answer my many questions about the ingredients due to my dietary restrictions and was so friendly! The views of the greenhouse overlooking the pool and gorgeous snow made everything complete. Thank you for an amazing brunch experience!

Wonderful Mother's Day brunch in an elegant yet rustic environment. Over overlooking the pool with dining in the sunroom. Food was abundant and high-quality. Not over salted or over done. A true traditional European culinary style. Waiters and waitresses dressed elegantly in Bavarian attire. Lots of space to spread out while you're waiting for a table. Charming bar.

Everything tasted fresh, like it was good quality, and it was well prepared...but I don't know that Eggs Benedict is really worth $40. I did not try the buffet (because I was not that hungry), but it looked like a nice setup. If I was with a group I would come early, enjoy a leisurely breakfast/brunch, and splurge on the (kind of) pricey buffet! Oh - 3 stars for atmosphere because it looked a little dated (for people that care about that thing - although I don't).

Our table of five enjoyed a delicious breakfast at this establishment. The fancy avocado toast, acai w/ peanut butter smoothie bowl, chorizo burrito, Belgian waffle, and 3 egg omelette were all hits. I.e., everyone was very happy with their meals. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the brunch buffet with family this past weekend. It was absolutely delicious. It is in competition with the buffet at Broadmoor in CO Springs. They had soooo many options and the food was fresh and felt healthy??? This is not country buffet. Not sure of price because my grandparents paid, but I think whatever it was it was worth it.

Nestled in the heart of the Vail Valley, Yeti's Grind is a charming local coffee shop that offers an array of traditional coffee drinks, signature lattes, and simple snacks in a cozy rustic-chic setting. Run by a husband and wife team, Nate and Tara, this community staple aims to bring the Vail coffee-loving community together. The cafe serves up craft coffee, delectable teas, pastries, sandwiches, burritos as well as ice cream products.
Very conveniently located in the heart of Vail, delicious coffee drinks and fantastic patio out front with a view of the slopes and skating rink (by the looks of it) in the winter. We were here for a girls trip in late Fall and decided we needed a coffee during a stroll through Vail. We picked Yeti’s Grind out of convenience and were very happy with our choice. Alongside great coffee drinks they have cute merchandise also. We got to enjoy our drinks out in the fall sun looking at the slopes. Definitely recommend for your next coffee break in Vail.

Nice place to relax, comfy seats, good atmosphere, and good aesthetic. The coffee cups really make their brand “unique” with the Yeti on it. I approve of their iced coffees, it was better than I expected. The breakfast burrito was also quite good, definitely recommend ten out of ten. Service was great, kind, and friendly.

1. I tried Italian Stallion coffee and it is amazing. My cousin tried COCOMEL and it was good. 2. Parking available only at garage no street parking available. A cozy and stylish coffee shop with amazing brews, friendly staff, and a relaxing vibe. The aroma, décor, and taste make it a perfect city escape. Everything is top-notch — just a bit pricey, but then again, so is the city. Worth every sip for the quality and atmosphere! ☕✨

I really enjoyed this place on a recent trip to Vail! Saw the excellent reviews and knew I needed to make a stop. My veggie breakfast burrito and latte were SO good. Burritos are fresh (not just some reheated chewy filled tortilla) and they are also served with hot or mild salsa. I ordered a cocomel latte and I’ll be dreaming of it until I return on another trip to Vail. It’s a coconut caramel latte with a sprinkling of sea salt on the top - and the sea salt makes it, so don’t skip!

Best coffee! Cant go wrong with the Cocomel iced or hot (they put salt on the foam which is delightful)! One of the best coffee shops I have been to!

5-star experience at Vail Chop House! Started with the Caesar salad, which was absolutely awesome - the perfect blend of flavors and textures. The NY strip topped with béarnaise was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. And, of course, the side of fries was a great addition. Our server, Pablo, was top-notch - attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience seamless. If you're in Vail, Vail Chop House is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly, the steaks were cooked perfectly, as requested. They were tender, juicy, and very flavorful. However, one of the two steaks we ordered was too salty, while the other was underseasoned. The fried chicken was very dry. The side dishes were okay. The asparagus was particularly chewy in the stem.
Dingran W — Google review
You can’t beat the views! Had an 830pm reservation and watched the fireworks. Food varied. Lobster Mac and cheese was very good with TONS of lobster. The crispy chicken was dry and needed more flavor or gravy, waitress said she couldn’t provide more gravy because the kitchen was closing soon and they would have to make a whole new batch just for me Salmon great. Crabcakes ok, on the small side Drinks were strong and good. Hard to say overpriced, you’re sitting 50 feet from the gondola at one of the premier resorts in the region Service was generally rushed and impersonal. Menu snatched from us, no smile from the waitress. Tried to get us done ASAP and bill brought quickly. Had to beg for a coffee and was advised it wasn’t very good when I asked pretty please. Then told it was the last cup and don’t ask for more.

Excellent restaurant with a grape vibe. Great bar with lots of TVs live entertainment sometimes. I had the lamb chops and they were excellent. The wedge salad with salmon was also very good. I wouldn't recommend the cheesecake it was the small kind of cupcake size I prefer the wedge where the real strawberry sauce on top.

If you’re looking for a place right off the slopes to come and have a delicious meal, this is your place! During shift change from lunch to dinner, it’s a little slow. However, that is when we came and we still got excellent service. We had a few things go wrong with our order and our server was gracious enough to make it right! Let me tell you that our French dip, which is not pictured, was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The fries were amazing, and they weren’t even the truffle fries. I can’t wait to come back and try them. The bread, the beet salad, and the French onion soup were all phenomenal. I am ready to come back and dine here at dinner. It appears they have live entertainment as well, which would be so fun. It’s so nice to sit and watch all the skiers as you dine. The atmosphere is a lot of fun!

I apologize for taking so long to leave this review. I am forever grateful to the Vail Chophouse in Lionshead Village for an incredible evening celebrating my son and daughter-in-law to be on the evening of August 29, 2024. We were planning a destination wedding in Vail and I was in charge of the rehearsal dinner for 60 people and welcome party for 150 people. I had never been to Vail so most of the planning was site unseen. I worked with Stacy throughout the process and she continued to calm my nerves and make things easy for me. She helped me plan a beautiful Italian buffet, a nicely designed table layout, microphones for speeches, wine list and the Vail Chophouse’s very own homemade Limoncello at each place setting to cheers the special couple. She even brought in a chef from one of the Italian restaurants in the area to add a special touch to the meal. After dinner, we welcomed 150 guests with an incredible display of hors d’oeuvres and desserts. The indoor area worked perfectly, the bartenders took care of our guests Incredibly and the indoor and outdoor space was just perfect. Not to mention the beautiful view surrounding us. Again, I am forever grateful to Stacy and highly recommend the Vail Chophouse for any event. I also want to mention Joey. I met with him the day before the event to go over any last minute details. You could tell immediately from interaction with Joey and Stacy that they were very well-versed in putting together events like this. Their team of people did an excellent job. Don’t hesitate to book this place if you have the opportunity! Or just enjoy a lovely meal or apres. Love and respect to the Vail Chophouse!

Pretty solid overall! Had to wrestle my steak a bit, but the flavor was on point and the Brussels sprouts were so bomb. I tried the spicy margarita — and I love heat — but this one was a little too fiery for me. Next time I’ll stick with the classic margarita.

Awesome food. The service is great. Greeted with a smile. The appetizer of the chick Coudry board was great. The wings were good. If you stay for dinner, the steaks were exceptional, especially the fillets. Phenomenal wedge salad. The only thing they lack is a great dessert.

Restaurant
Located at the top of Vail mountain, "The 10th" is a chic restaurant offering modern cuisine and a full bar in a spacious lodge-like setting with stunning views. Guests can ski or bike directly to the elegant dining room for lunch, or take Gondola One for a more leisurely approach.
I was in Vail for a work trip with several colleagues and on a day when a few of us went skiing, we all decided to meet here for lunch during the day. The location and atmosphere is amazing, with great views of the mountains. The food was really good with a lot of ‘comfort food’ options on the menu which were perfect for a cold day, like pot pie, chili, etc. The only complaint is that it was a bit overpriced; and the cost for those not skiing to take the gondola up the mountain to mid-Vail seemed a bit outrageous. It was $60 round trip on the gondola just to go eat at the restaurant; and some of the prices for lunch were high, like $33 for a bowl of chili, $30 for a burger, and $30 for a pot pie. For the one time visit, it was worth it, but I don’t think it’s a place you would eat at every day if skiing here for several days.
C T — Google review
Such a posh mountain dining experience! It was a real treat to break up a ski day and enjoy lots of room, nice service, good menu, great view, upscale bathrooms and even a coat room in this beautiful lodge. Reservations are needed, so you’ll want to plan ahead. Portions were huge and definitely shareable. The vegetable risotto was very tasty, and hot chocolate was topped beautifully. A top notch Vail experience.
Tara C — Google review
One of the best veggie burgers I've ever had, the aubergine was melt in the mouth and so tender. Served with a massive portion of truffle fries. Shame the restaurant is so expensive, our bill came out to over $200 for four people to have a main dish and one starter to share. Our server was lovely and attentive. But what really sells this place was the insane views and lovely atmosphere on the mountain. We didn't reserve a table and we managed to get one, but in future i would reserve.

Fantastic experience each day for lunch on the mountain last year, yesterday, and today! It is the highlight of our culinary experience in Vail. Between the burgers, truffle fries, and chocolate chip cookies, it hits all the right notes. Kyle, the manager, has been nothing but friendly and a class act. Brett was a fantastic stand-in waiter on Tuesday. Adrianna did an outstanding job waiting on us Wednesday. Sophie was very helpful as a hostess. Let’s not forget Sasha, best bartender on the mountain. We will be back tomorrow!

Cozy, Relaxing Ambiance, and Friendly. When it is freezing butt cold outside, you want to have a cup of hot latte or hot chocolate inside. Small place but makes you warm inside. I don't drink coffee, so I had a cup of hot chocolate. So tasty!! It was perfect 👌 and my butt no longer feeling cold.

Amazing coffee and fantastic breakfast burrito. They were so welcoming and kind when I walked in to order. I had a cappuccino that was perfection and a bacon egg breakfast burrito. They were so quick and I claimed one of the corner cushioned seats and sat back with a good book. Amazing atmosphere! Highly recommend if you want a good strong coffee and nice place to sit back and enjoy the view from the window.

I am not sure if I had very high expectations walking in or if it just wasn’t what it should be. The atmosphere and the aesthetic is great. I am not one to leave anything except 5 star reviews but I do believe this place could work on a few things. The first thing that got me quite mad is how they only serve cold brew in one size. There are two sizes and they only serve cold brew in the smaller size. I asked her to please give me one in the larger cup, she said it wouldn’t be possible because she wouldn’t know how to charge me. Then I went to the extreme, I told her give me the large size and I will pay for two cold brews, I don’t care if I pay for two just give me the larger size, she said no. After all of that, and paying $8 (tip included) the cold brew they gave me just wasn’t good. The coffee simply didn’t taste good, this doesn’t come from a place of bad wishes for this place but from a place of constructive criticism. I review coffee places almost every week and this one just needs work. Especially on the cold brew if you are charging $6 a cup. I did like that there were quite a lot of options to choose from on the menu’s lineup including cocktails and others. I will most likely be back for ski season, I will give this place another chance due to it’s convenient location in vail, and if I notice the things are different, you have my word I will change this to a five star review.

First Chair is a delightful dining spot nestled at the top of Bridge Street in Vail Village, perfect for those looking to fuel up before hitting the slopes. Launched during the pandemic, this fast-casual eatery has quickly gained popularity with its mouthwatering breakfast burritos and inventive menu options that cater to both morning and evening cravings. From classic breakfast burritos to unique creations like chicken and waffle burritos drizzled with syrup and hot sauce, there's something for everyone.
Great place , awesome fun menu and great staff. Stopped in pretty early , had a breakfast burrito and ended up staying till well after lunch. Staff was great ,food was good and prices were fair. Will definitely go again next time I'm around.
Mike D — Google review
This day it was an average burrito but I’m sure it could be better any other day. It’s a “smashburger” as advertised with tater tots but it didn’t really seem at all like a smash burger more like ground beef with chopped up potatoes. It did not have enough sauce for my liking. The cheese could have been melted more. I had to reheat it later, which helped.
Maxim P — Google review
Stop in for a quick bite while in Vail. Nice find. Quiet spot with some good burritos. Going to make this a stop when we are in Vail.
Jeff S — Google review
I would recommend the smash burger burrito ot was very good. The Nashville hot and chicken fingers were less than ideal, wouldn’t recommend . The bartender was nice and friendly.
Sarah — Google review
This was the worst breakfast burrito I’ve ever eaten. The potato wasn’t cooked enough so every bite was like chomping right into a raw potato. The cheese wasn’t melted either. The staff was very kind though!
Alexander F — Google review
Amazing! They have a top notch happy hour from 6:30 - 8:00. The nachos are a must as well as the super big burritos. Fair prices for Vail. Highly recommend coming here for the drinks, bar tenders, and food!
David M — Google review
Entered this establishment expecting to have such a good time and was met with racist remarks by the person behind the bar (didn’t catch his name but he looks like shaggy from Scooby doo). He started his tirade by pointing out we were clearly not from around here. Then proceeded to say we had “really thick accents,” and so he inquired further by asking “are you all Mexicans?” He then finished it all off by saying “I’m not Mexican.” He ruined our happy experience visiting vail. Such a shame. Made everything so uncomfortable that even his buddy behind the bar started turning his head in disapproval.

This place is such a hidden gem! Food good, drinks amazing. The bartender Chris was so nice and attentive. I plan to come back every time I’m in Vail. Also the music was fire! 🔥

Nestled in the heart of Vail Village, The Left Bank Restaurant has been a beacon of classic French cuisine since 1970. This fine-dining establishment is renowned for its elegant atmosphere and an impressive wine selection that perfectly complements its exquisite menu.
À most try restaurant, the service was incredible and on point with a great selection of wines. The chef/owner Jean Micheal clearly pays great attention to detail and a kudos to the Vail serving amazing French classics cooked to perfection. We started with the Oysters, Foie gras which transportés me back to my time in Landes region of France, then had the lobster & prawn vol a vent Wow and a perfectly cooked steak au poivre! We finished the evening with an awesome Lemon soufflé. I’ve worked 13 years for 3 star chefs in France and london from Alain Ducasse to Gordon Ramsey in london and highly recommend left bank.

Skip the Frenh onion soup, stop by for the The Souffle with lobster and shrimp is delicious, sauce is perfect. The Pepper steak rare is fantastic. Mix the rice with the sauce. . Bordeaux is as expected.

Actually bummed that we have never dined here before. Premier restaurant with incredible service, food, and ambiance. We had a romantic anniversary dinner and had the best time. Portions were sizable and the split plates they did for us on a few dishes was perfect. 10/10.
Andy L — Google review
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. We frequent most of the restaurants in Vail, and this was by far the worst of all of these experiences. We ordered the bone in ribeye at the request of our server. The steak was quite average. When we got our bill, the steak was $375, although it was listed as “MP” in the menu. I spoke to the chef, who defended this price. It was by far the most overpriced steak I’ve had in my life. The restaurant was unwilling to admit it’s complacency in the atrocious situation. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to Vail. In my opinion, this restaurant has no business being involved in the dining scene in Vail. It is outclassed in every aspect compared to other establishments, and it is without class when it comes to service of its customers.
Geoff F — Google review
Our host arrived at 4:30. We couldn’t arrive till five because we had to drop our son off at The babysitters. Upon arrival our host the maître D let him know that he needed the table back by 6:30, in my opinion this is a horrible start. He should keep his mouth shut and try to expedient the table through prompt service and hope to get it back by the time he desired. The restaurant was empty until we left at 8 o’clock. There’s still five tables open that never got sat The entire time we’re there . The food did not meet expectations. The bouillabaisse was bland underseasoned and I got maybe 5 ounces of fish or seafood in my dish lobster special also very underwhelming way too rich., Also a lobster special with under 3 ounces of lobster in the dish . the wine and the soufflé were wonderful. The service also was great but server Alex added a gratuity onto our four top without asking this is on a $1300 bill for four people again extremely underwhelming and the mature D should not have a job. I haven’t been to LeftBank in 25 years. I’ve been in the service industry for 40 owning a restaurant in the Vail Valley for 20 of those years and I will not be back for another 25 Years. Do better Left bank. Literally 100 better choices especially for the value ..

Aspects of our service were stuffy but was very on point. Nice dining space. Some of the food items were fantastic and others truly fell short. Overall was a good experience. I would check it out again. No parking - give yourself advance time to park and walk.

One of my favorite restaurants on the planet. Reservations are a must. Small, intimate atmosphere. World class service and food. Beautiful, elegant setting, but no stuffy dress code. I can't wait to return!

Best happy hour, and reasonably priced for Vail. Best in Vail from the early 1980. Liz and Luc, now retired, started the Left Bank and the new owner has continued their tradition. Still great French cuisine and tops in service. This is where we dine before heading home to top off a great vacation.

Nestled in a chic setting, Yama Sushi is a delightful Japanese restaurant that specializes in sushi and offers an impressive selection of sake and specialty cocktails. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between modern elegance and cozy warmth, making it an ideal spot for enjoying exquisite dishes.
I enjoyed everything about this place. We went to a very high rated, popular restaurant the night before and their sushi was a disappointment. We decided we wanted a re-do so stopped in at Yama the following evening. We walked into a busy dining room but were able to sit at the bar. The service was fantastic and the ladies helping us were personable and welcoming! The rolls were well made and tasted good.

Yama is our family favorite sushi place and has become a tradition whenever we are all in town. The staff are fun and professional. The menu is really unique and the quality of the food is top notch. We love the small well done interior and fun vibe. The addition of outside dining is the perfect spot to people watch and view town of Vail with a stunning backdrop of the Gore Range mountains.

On our trip to Vail we decided to try out Yama Sushi. We didn’t have a reservation, but the host (wish I had got his name) said no problem & told us to sit at the bar. The staff are hands down incredible & friendly! We enjoyed our conversation with one of the sushi chefs (Cesar). Everything we ordered was delicious (wish I had got photos). A wonderful experience here! Would definitely come back if we are in Vail.

This place was great! Located in the Vail village, it had a great atmosphere with great service. The food was amazing. It was definitely worth the visit. We tried the Miso soup, which was the best I’ve ever had, pork dumplings, California rolls, hammer head roll volcano style, and one other I can’t remember the name of. All were great!
Cody H — Google review
Sad story here, we dined at this establishment the end of April '24 and had a great meal, drinks were also great; unfortunately my experience was ruined as when I was in the restroom, the server accidentally spilt some oil based sauce all over my seat and coat, which was on my seat as well. I came back to the table with the bill already on the table and noticed I had not only sat in the sauce but it was all over my "do not dry clean" coat and clothing I had on! The bill was paid and I even tipped and the offer of dry cleaning my coat and clothes was extended. Long story short, my coat was completely ruined, I emailed the owner with photos and called the restaurant to inquire what the policy was in this situation, I was told I would be reimbursed, by both the manager and owner; here I sit almost three months later with still no reimbursement for the coat and now no one will answer my inquiries on how I am supposed to receive any sort of reimbursement at all! If they have a coat check anywhere in this small restaurant, I highly suggest it to a would be diner!
Kristina B — Google review
Excellent service, tasty food, and great vibes. We ordered the bang bang roll and spicy tuna along with the caterpillar, and loved the recommended sake pairing. Will have to make a routine of it for ski season.
Sam M — Google review
My family and I went to Yama for dinner yesterday evening. I had been before and had a mediocre experience but yesterday was a big disappointment. We were seated at 8 o’clock outside and placed the order within 10 minutes. About 45 minutes later one of our items came out and then every 15 minutes 1 other item would show up. Three yes of us would watch one person eat because only one person’s order came out at a time. The rolls were incredibly tiny and they said they were down a sushi chef. They gave us an edamame for the incredibly delayed service.
Rob C — Google review
Where do I start! Yama is the most amazing spot in Vail and I can’t say enough about “Gus”. We didn’t have a reservation and he worked his magic and got us right in. If there’s a host in vail that needs a raise it’s him. Thank you again for the wonderful experience!!

Restaurant
Nestled at the base of Vail Mountain, Crespelle is a charming creperie that beckons both skiers and food lovers alike. This cozy spot offers an array of sweet and savory crêpes, perfect for fueling up before hitting the slopes or enjoying a leisurely meal. The menu features delightful options like the Pillow Drop, which combines chocolate ganache with toasted marshmallows and graham crumble—a must-try for s'mores enthusiasts!
Food was amazing! The guys cooking it are very friendly and patient with all their patrons. Grab a mimosa for the morning or a beer in the afternoon. There is a crepe to go with either.
Antoniette V — Google review
My review is based solely on the crepes. There are a variety of food but we have tried two of the crepes and both were tasty. The strawberry one (shown in rhis picture) was light, fluffy and delicious. The downside however of this resturant is the seating. It is mainly a bar with probably three or four tables. So keep in mind you might not be able to set especially if you are a large family
Khaled M — Google review
Crespelle is a small place in the village in Vail serving beer and sweet and savory crepes, including egg-filled options for breakfast, plus coffees and cold pressed juices from Colorado. Though you can roll your own, and all the sweet crepes on their menu are vegetarian, the only vegetarian option they advertise is the “Rabbit Food” which gives you the sense they’re not necessarily into the vegetarian sensibility. I did roll my own and had a Yard Sale crepe (a.k.a. a build my own) with gruyere and a kale and spinach mix. It tasted great though it was a little light on the kale and spinach. There’s a nice selection of “Pressery” juices (made in Colorado). I had the Green Zinger juice which also was great. They serve nice looking drinks at the bar (though I was there mid-day which is not prime-drinking time for me). There’s not so much space to sit inside (and they had the chairs upside down on top of the inside tables so it looked like they didn’t want you sitting in there.) but there’s a nice patio outside which was lovely to sit in in the middle of July. (I’m not sure how my wimpy California sensibility would feel about sitting outside in the heart of winter’s ski season. Crespelle is good for a quick and tasty bite, and probably for your day-drinking needs as well. The crepes were legit.

Great crepes and juices. Both savory and sweet crepes! Very friendly staff as well. I think the only thing missing from their sweet crepe line up is the classic lemon juice and sugar. Please enjoy this place while in vail.

Crespelle Crepes is inside 7 Hermits brewing. They still have the crepes and they were delicious! I wanted to post this review because there was a post about it being closed and the Crespelle sign is on the glass door. The large outer sign says 7 hermits.

My husband and I were vacationing in Red Cliff, but stopped in Vail to shop and grab a bite. I saw Crespelle had gluten free crepes, so we stopped in. My husband had a very tasty beer, and we each ordered a crepe. They were delicious!!! The bartender was very nice and attentive, and we loved the environment so much, we went back two more times! Definitely hit this up when you’re in Vail!
Tess S — Google review
We loved the crepes we ate here. My dad was glad to get a beer at 7 Hermits which is also here. We tried a couple different breakfast crepes (served all day), a dessert crepe (because why not), and nachos. The nachos were huge! Everything was amazingly delicious! Grateful for prices that weren’t too expensive in comparison to many restaurants in Vail Village.
Megan D — Google review
I have never written a bad restaurant review before but my Dad and I came here and ordered crepes two of which included chicken. When we got them and took a bite we discovered the chicken had been replaced with beef. We told the waiter and he just shrugged and said they probably ran out of chicken and because of that just decided to throw in beef instead. Overall very mediocre food and below average service - would not recommend going!

This popular breakfast restaurant is well-known in Vail Village and serves deliciously prepared eggs, bacon, sausage, croissants and other pastries. The ambiance is cozy and homey, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a morning meal with friends or family.
Honest Review : First - Love that this is a small business trying to make it work in the midst of giant Vail owned restaurants. Second - I had been a rush customer ordering only coffee and croissant and had found the croissants to be not that great. However, last week I went in and actually ordered breakfast - the Cheesy Bacon Omelette and Cafe Latte. It was more than expected - really good. So - wanted to share with you that this is a great alternative to the Little Diner - Omelette was great (get the Swiss cheese) as was the Cafe. Attached are some pics - hope you like it as much as I did !

A perfect place for a quick bite to fill you up after/before a ski day. We made a pit-stop before we got on the lift and had a nice hearty meal that was balanced, tasty, and filling! The restaurant has lots of charm and makes you feel cozy and homey when you enter with all its personal decorations and memorabilia surrounding you while you dine-in. They also have outdoor seating, so you can supplement a beautiful day with a beautiful sandwich!
Andy L — Google review
I have been going here since I was a kid and had many fond memories. Now the place is a profound embarrassment. The petite dejuener, what is supposed to be a breakfast cheese plate, came as a pile of old shredded deli cheese and a stale roll! Maybe good for a rat, but utterly insulting to a paying customer. The place where I learned to love brie and blue cheese as a child is now serving food fit for a jail mess.

This is a great little spot we have been coming to for year. My wife and I always share the Smoked Salmon plate for breakfast and have some Espresso drinks.

Okay, a bit disorganized or maybe they were just busy. Staff were pleasant enough, although rushed. 16oz coffee was $6.50 not too bad IMO but definitely expected more. Also they don’t have lids. The food being served looked tasty enough and they were packed so that’s usually a good sign.

Ordered a croissant but it was hard and dry. Even after they warmed it up for me. Like the kind you’d buy at a gas station. Do not recommend the croissant.

We have made several trips to Vail Village and have come to this restaurant each time. The food is decent. Just be prepared for a side of surliness (or more likely, nearly complete indifference to your presence). If this place were in Houston, Chicago, LA, or any other city where it would face significant competition, my bet is that it would go out of business.

Nestled near the ski slopes, Sonnenalp Vail offers a luxurious stay with its Bavarian-inspired decor and top-notch amenities. For skiing enthusiasts, there's convenient ski storage available. Additionally, the resort provides bicycle rentals for exploring the area in warmer weather.
Located in the heart of Vail, the location doesn't get better than this. My room was immaculately cozy with a fireplace and heated floors in the bathroom. The service is also top notch -- from the moment you pull in there are people to help at every turn. I really appreciated the large glass water bottles and coffee in the room, and even received fresh cookies at turn down. Can't wait to come back and spend some time in the beautiful spa next time!

Sonnenalp was absolutely amazing, from the check-in to the check-out. We loved everything about this hotel. The cleanliness was top notch, the staff was so friendly, the restaurants were excellent. I literally can't say enough positive things about this hotel. We went with some friends, Mike and Shelly Oswalt, which have been going there for the past 40 years, and they raved about Sonnenalp, they did not embellish anything about it. Everything thing lived up to what we were expecting. I would recommend this hotel to everyone that is going to Vail. Thank you Sonnenalp for an amazing stay, we will be back soon.

Stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my husbands bday. Hotel was accommodating to requests, even got a charcuterie board and sign to surprise my husband upon arrival. Nice staff. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. We both got really sick, due to stuffy rooms/dusty rooms. Pool was cold. For the price tag, I’d expect a bit different but overall a nice weekend away.
Angelica Q — Google review
We really like this hotel, it’s well maintained and cute… like Disneyland in the 60s. Only drag is the pool area is small, so the ‘parking’ crowd claims the chairs all day most days we’ve been there. Just can’t ever find a chair. That aside, nice spot clean rooms.
Nicholas F — Google review
Absolutely loved my experience at the Sonnenalp Vail! Will definitely stay again at my next visit. This hotel is very clean, has amazing service, and the design has so much character! Beautiful hotel. The library loving room bar is a fun environment. The pool area looks exotic with tons of trees and it overlooks a creek. It’s a 2 minute walk to the center of vail village and the farmers market is right next to it. Highly recommend.

This place was almost really nice, but there were a few things that just prevented that. 1) our room was kind of stuffy; we could have used a fan, 2) there were only 2 flimsy pillows on the bed, so not enough support, and 3) there's a resort fee that wasn't disclosed until we checked out, which is weird given that it's not really a resort. Staff were friendly and helpful, though, vand the ambiance is very cute.
Beth U — Google review
Our stay was overall very nice. The front desk agent was extremely welcoming and helpful, which made our check-in experience pleasant. However, our experience in the breakfast area was disappointing. The lady working there was quite rude. My husband and I both ordered omelets — he specifically requested no cheese, and I asked to add bacon, ham, and all the veggies. Unfortunately, my omelet came without the bacon and ham. When we brought this up to the server, she responded quite rudely, saying, “You guys are not paying for breakfast, this is complimentary.” We explained that we were aware the breakfast was complimentary, but that doesn’t mean the order should be incorrect or handled disrespectfully. Aside from this incident, everything else about our stay was great, but the breakfast service definitely needs improvement.

I give this place 5 stars except for the service. Sometimes the staff can be a little rude, depending on the barista you get. Aside from that, this is our favorite place to hangout in Vail! This is the best place to eat on the mountain. They are smoking the meat right there! Great spot to stop in, warm up, and get some great BBQ. Get there before the lunch rush to make sure you get a seat. Tables by the windows have a beautiful view of the mountain. When the weather is warmer you can sit outside. They have picnic tables and lawn chairs. Recommend the ribs, brisket, and Mac n cheese.

Ever had BBQ literally on the top of a mountain, 2 miles high, surrounded by beautiful snow-capped peaks? Get ready then. So the Pros: The experience and views are one-of-a-kind. The BBQ is good, and the location is extremely convenient for those on the mountain. The cons: This place can get absolutely slammed with significant lines, the prices are not cheap, and it isnt exactly accessible except by ski lift. Still, should stop off and have lunch here at least once while skiing Vail.
Michael J — Google review
This is absolutely the best restaurant on the mountain. Not just value for money but also to help avoid those lunch rush crowds. It can be a little tough to get a table around 12-12:30 but it’s a perfect place for an early lunch. They open at 10:30! Best tasting food and great portion sizes in comparison to Two Elk or others. Nicest employees too Highly recommend the loaded fries with pulled pork!
Seamus H — Google review
Go git yerself some BBQ! I’d say it’s the best BBQ on the mountain, but it’s also the best BBQ in Vail!
