1Hotel Sofitel Marseille Vieux Port

Hotel
The Hotel Sofitel Marseille Vieux Port offers elegant accommodations with two restaurants, a rooftop bar, a serene spa, and a gym. The Skylounge terrace provides stunning views of the city from Mucem to the Basilica. The hotel's rooms feature seaside-inspired decor with subtle motifs of shells, pebbles, and bubbles.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Amenities like Wi-Fi, room service, and housekeeping met expectations. The location was convenient, with easy access to local attractions and transport. Overall, a solid experience and good value for money.
Constant I — Google review
The staff greeted us right away and the check-in was very easy and quick. However, once we got into the room it was very unerwhelming. The shower flooded our room. The deck was nice but not private at all.
Sarah S — Google review
Location is really good and the lobby is nice but this is definitely not a 5 star hotel. The rooms are incredibly outdated and the bathrooms need updating as well. Shower is tiny and temperature of the water difficult to regulate. Rooms are 2-3 star hotel quality, being generous. Additionally there are a couple night clubs adjacent to the property that play loud music until the early morning every night (we were there on weekdays), so if noise bothers you, this is not somwhere you should stay.
Iman — Google review
The location is good. The rooms are not at the standard of sofitel, the noise dampening is terrible with loud venues nearby. This should be fine if they invested in the rooms acoustics. The balconies have no privacy from either side. The service is average, some debate existed around the bill which was hard to get past the language barrier, although eventually resolved. Accor needs to do better.
Liam N — Google review
A very nice hotel with sublime views of Marseille. Didn’t eat here, room was great though. Loses a star for the confusion about the swimming pool situation (“you can book the Novotel swimming pool”/“we changed the policy and you can’t book the Novotel swimming pool”/“just go up these steps to the Novotel swimming pool”.) needless to say we took the latter option and snuck up the steps from the basement spa to the pool, suggest this to future guests
Tom R — Google review
Room: have two night clubs in front of the hotel playing loud lame music until 12am. Service: very rude and disrespectful staff when I asked for a hair brush over the phone. Also loud drilling noise in the building and poor lobby management.
Kevin C — Google review
I extended twice as I like my stay so much, with friendly and supportive concierge Silvian and Julian for arranging my itinerary in the city. But I found the pexxs/dxxk shaped welcome amenity for Diamond member was so weird and offensive for a solo lady traveler like me. I felt disrespected and uncomfortable when I opened the box. I am not sure if it is a joke or art or local culture. But I prefer traditional wine or champagne instead.
Kelley C — Google review
A very comfortable room with a geat veiw on the Vieux Port fo Marseille. Overall amenities and service in line with the 5 stars category of the place. Excellent breakfast served in the roof restaurant with view. You should also have your dinenr in the restaurant which is of highest quality. Covered parking is avalaible, and you have also electric car charing places.

2Hôtel C2 - Marseille

Hotel
Nestled in the heart of Marseille, Hôtel C2 is a chic boutique hotel that beautifully marries 19th-century elegance with modern design. Located just a stone's throw from the Old Port, this stunning establishment occupies a lavish mansion that has been thoughtfully renovated by Claire Fatosme and Christian Lefevre. Guests can enjoy contemporary rooms equipped with flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi while soaking in the serene atmosphere created by original frescoes and grand moldings.
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel C2 during our honeymoon in Marseille. We arrived very early for check-in and while our room wasn’t ready, the staff kindly held our bags and gave us excellent sightseeing and restaurant recommendations. They did have staff that spoke English so that was very helpful for us. The breakfast was a standout—quiche, fresh breads, yogurt with honeycomb, mimosa eggs, smoked salmon, meats, cheeses, and more. I hadn’t booked it initially, thinking we’d explore in the mornings, but after trying it, we went back the next day. Definitely worth it! Our room was large, modern, and very comfortable—much more spacious than any other on our trip—and the shower was excellent. The hotel even left us a sweet note and treats to celebrate our honeymoon, which was such a lovely touch. The location is central and walkable to shops, restaurants, and attractions. We also enjoyed the relaxing spa area with a heated pool (though the sauna was out of order during our visit), and had a great drink at the cozy bar one evening. Only small cons: no gym (though we walked and hiked plenty) and no water refill station like some other French hotels. But overall, a fantastic experience. Would definitely stay again!
Kristen A — Google review
Really enjoyed my 6-day stay at the C2 Hotel! The staff were amazing and so helpful. The location is great - A bit away from everything so you get the quiet, but still walkable to most points of interest. I also give the breakfast buffet two thumbs up.
Crystal H — Google review
I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Every single staff member was very kind and attentive. Whenever we asked for water or towels for the beach the hotel was more than accommodating. The front desk always willing to answer any questions we had. The rooms were very clean and maintained well. Also breakfast is a must!!! They had every option we could have wanted. If we ever make our way back to Marseille this is definitely where we will be staying.
Letty T — Google review
I had a great stay at this hotel! It's very clean, the staff is friendly and amazing, and the pool is fantastic. Despite being in a big city, it was surprisingly quiet and relaxing. One small note: I arranged a taxi to the airport through the hotel for an early morning ride and was charged 90 euros—much higher than Uber or Bolt, which typically cost around 40 euros. To be fair, I should have double-checked the price with the staff or driver beforehand. Overall, a wonderful experience and I’d happily stay again!
Chris C — Google review
We stayed one night at Hotel C2 in Marseille. The room was spacious, with high ceilings, a comfortable mattress, and generous closet space. Amenities included Chromecast, Nespresso pods, a towel warmer in the bathroom, robes, and slippers. The hotel also features a spa with an indoor pool and whirlpool. Service was professional and considerate throughout. We were greeted at the door, assisted with our bags, and accompanied to our room. Housekeeping was attentive, and even though we only stayed the one night, we appreciated the evening turndown service. Based on previous reviews, it is also clear that guest feedback is taken seriously. The room was slightly dated in parts, but everything functioned as expected. We opted to park independently, and the surrounding streets were busy with limited spaces. Valet parking is available behind the hotel on rue Roux de Brignoles.
Stef P — Google review
Hotel C2 is an oasis amid the busy city of Marseilles, France. We wete warmly welcomed and received a beautiful room. This msnsion was converted into a 20 room hotel with an equally lovely hotel staff. Ee had a delicious spa massage and treated ourselves to breakfast in bed. A special Thank You to Fanny Joulé for her fine attention and to Elodie for a gracious “see you again soon “. We highly recommend this gem of a boutique hotel to our family and friends when visiting Marseille. It was especially important to me to come to Marseille because I wanted to see the Old Port, where my grandparents sailed to America in 1911. A very special trip for me. Thank you Hotel C2 for making it so memorable. I must say also that we easily walked to the Old Port from the hotel. An added perk!
Joanne G — Google review
Just checked in. Haven't had a chance to tour around the small hotel yet, but the room is definitely not what I expect from a 5 star hotel with a 5 star price. There are fingerprints, scuffs and dents on the walls. Cracked and missing tiles in the shower. Horrible grout job. The button panel for the hammam is broken. The room is clean, and the bed seems nice, but I'd really expect a room that was in great condition and showed good workmanship. Now.. to the internet. It has taken me 20 minutes to upload this review. The wifi has completely died and disconnected four times so far, and when it is up, I get around 1.5mbps up/down. This sucks. Oh - and worst of all, the burger on the menu is chicken.

Very prívate and quiet. The rooms are very stylish and the pool was surprisingly charming. We went from here to explore the city.

The Hôtel Dieu Intercontinental Marseille is a luxurious five-star hotel that was once a hospital for over 800 years before being transformed in 2013. Located in the heart of Marseille, it offers stunning views of the Basilica Notre-Dame de la Garde and is just a short walk from the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations (MuCEM). The hotel's prime location provides easy access to the Old Port and its lively atmosphere.
I had an excellent stay at the InterContinental Hotel in Marseille. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The location is perfect, and the facilities truly live up to a 5-star standard. The indoor pool is beautiful, though you do need to make an appointment and the access is limited to 1 hour per session. Aside from that small detail, the gym was well-equipped, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. Overall, a fantastic experience and highly recommended.
Ivan W — Google review
We enjoyed a very nice room with a large beautiful balcony with a fabulous view. The hotel is impressive, yet it fails on many levels for a 5-Star facility. For example, breakfasts are not only inadequate, but almost inedible, watery scrambled eggs, a bucket of greasy partially bacon, empty baskets of pastries that ran out every morning for three days, getting a cup of coffee every morning was a challenge, and so on. Also, it would have been nice to have a bottle of water in our room. The location is great, but if we return to Marseille, we will try a different hotel.
Andy S — Google review
The most beautiful hotel in Marseilles. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Grounds were exquisite. Location cannot be beat. Close to everything we wanted to see/do. I would stay again.
Angela M — Google review
The hotel property is very nice, very historic and well designed. An oasis in the city center (which does not actually feel not very safe). But the housekeeping service is very unprofessional and careless: kept on entering my room without knocking and despite me having asked them not to come in. They also took away my room key card while I wasn’t in the room! The towels they gave me were gray and black (obviously not washed properly). I asked repeatedly for foam pillows but they gave me feather pillows. The bathroom also had no shower curtain so whenever you take shower the entire floor would get very wet.
Jonathan X — Google review
The concierge staff were extremly helpful. I thought the location was great as the harbor and restaurants are nearby. The rooms were also very nice with a view across the harbor. I had a rental car available and used the hotel as a base to travel around the south of France. Would I go back? Absolutely.
Dominic F — Google review
A touch of luxury! Upholds the Intercontinental standard. Fab location next to the 'Vieux Port', great views from the terrace and some rooms, obliging staff, quality decor & fitments throughout. The 'budget' rooms are not 'wow' or particularly spacious but are comfortable and well appointed. Worthwhile to indulge yourself and have breakfast on the terrace. The stay comes with a price tag but, at the end of the day, you get what you pay for!
Richard C — Google review
I’ve stayed at many InterContinental hotels, but this was by far the most disappointing experience. When we arrived, the receptionist was kind and helpful, but our luggage was later sent to the wrong room. Then, when I asked for a bucket of ice to store my insulin (as the minibar fridge wasn’t cold enough), I was told there would be a charge — €6 for ice or €10 to store my medicine. I was honestly shocked. Every other hotel I’ve stayed at has always been understanding and happy to help with medical needs. Here, I felt like I was being punished for having a medical condition. Room service was also very slow — we had to call twice every time we needed something. And when we checked out, the staff seemed to have no idea about my stored insulin. It’s really disappointing, especially from a brand I usually trust. I hope management takes this seriously and treats future guests with more care and empathy.
Grace Y — Google review
5 star service, staff was awesome Hôtel was superficially nice but outlets fell out of walls, thermostat didn’t work. Coffee machine mind of its own, shower grout dirty and stained, shower mat towel was always stained. Food at restaurant bad. From time we ordered to when food came to table was under 10 min and that included bread and drinks delivered first. Food was clearly premade on the plate and simple warmed up. Steak was warm on surface and hard to chew. Sea bass cold in middle warm on outside. I highly doubt this came from 3 star Michelin chef. Overall so bad we are cancelling our IHG card.

Perched on the cliff separating the Corniche Kennedy from the sea, Hotel nhow Marseille offers a strategic location with spectacular views. The futuristic lobby and corridors lead to a coveted relaxation space where guests can indulge in the spa designed by local architects Claire Fatosme and Christian Lefevre. Managed by spa specialists LV Riviera Spa, it provides an unrivaled vista of the sea. This luxury 4-star hotel is ideally positioned for both business travelers and vacationers seeking comfort.
Great holidays! I’ll definitely come back for my next vacation because the room service was perfect. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the rooms and services right in the city center. There are also plenty of leisure activities around the hotel, offering a wide variety of entertainment.
Eloïse L — Google review
First. The good. Price point was good for amenities and room quality and pool etc. You are on the water. good. But Far away from cool part of downtown. Not good. If I did this trip again I would actually skip Marseilles altogether. Go to Provence Cannes Nice etc. My issue with this hotel was the Guest Services. I booked two nights instead of one during the week. Realized my mistake on a non refundable purchase within an hour and tried to change it. ( I have done it before a few times. No issues) And they said they would NOT refund me. They literally said it was possible but were choosing not to. I said fine. I accept my loss. Maybe just throw in a dinner credit and we can call it even. I’m here to have a good time. Not gripe about a few hundred dollars. Not even a drink credit lol. I get it. Fine print says one thing. The rest is on this hotel for having poor customer service. Thank you Hotels Tonight for doing your best to assist and asking the hotel to accommodate. You did your part.

7/10 👍 ______ The Hotel & Staff are great. What I experienced so far was that NHow Marsaille is behind NHow Standards I am familiar with. No Teethbrush, Comb etc. on Room and no good English Skills by the employes what lad multiple times to small missunderstandings. A little bit a „stressfull“ atmosphere, mostly iniciated by other guest - not always what I expected, not very polite. A nice place, had a good time, but to expensive measured to what you get.
T.H.B. — Google review
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. We received a room-upgrade and the room offers ocean view. That was one of my wishes in advance. The pool is the highlight of the NHOW. The breakfast with ocean view is outstanding regarding the selection of food and fruits.
Christian K — Google review
I’ve been coming here year after year for decades, and after spending over a month here this summer, I can honestly say the Nhow team Marseille has been nothing short of amazing. They are extremely dedicated to making every stay unforgettable — from the warm welcome at the front desk to the relaxing vibes by the swimming pool. I especially want to highlight Gaëlle, Thaïs, Kada, Frédéric, and Maxence from the swimming pool team for their incredible service and friendly energy. At the restaurant, Melain and Margot brought a casual yet welcoming atmosphere that made every meal a pleasure.(except the pasta-sorry) And of course, the welcome team — with Emmanuelle, Benjamin, Cyril & co — made check-in feel like a “smoothie” experience: fresh, easy, and full of good vibes. Can’t wait to come back again!
Cyril B — Google review
I used their taxi service and the driver couldn't give me a receipt and didn't accept card payment. I tried to contact the hotel multiple times, but they do not respond at all. Edit: Still no response, but they forwarded my request and I got a receipt per mail after 2 weeks.

I have just left the hotel less than an hour ago. I have tried to call numerous times within the last hour regarding a left valuable item in the room I spoke to a lady on the phone who said she would put me on hold and go and see she then put the phone down and I call back and she ignored my calls This is unacceptable

Les Bords De Mer is a luxurious hotel located in Marseille, offering stunning sea views and a range of amenities. The hotel features a restaurant, spa, indoor and outdoor pools, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Its central location provides easy access to popular attractions such as the Old Port of Marseille and Mucem. The boutique hotel offers serene rooms with Mediterranean views and is known for its innovative local sea urchin dishes at the on-site restaurant.
Incredible location to stay in Marseilles. The ocean view from our room was stunning and we spent a lot of time on our balcony. The rest of the hotel was beautiful as well. The location is great with the beach right next to it and walking distance to the old harbor and lots of restaurants. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was delicious. The employees were also very friendly and helpful. The only minor negative point was the size of our room. With two people one has to sit on the bed for the other to be able to walk around. But I would always take that for the view. Strong recommendation.
Stefanie W — Google review
Perched on a small cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, the hotel feels like a modern villa, with all rooms facing the ocean, ours had a small terrace. The sunset was beautiful, the fit and finish of the room and bath was excellent. We were next to the elevator and never heard it. Staff and food were both first rate. The restaurant serves wonderful creative seafood.
Kent C — Google review
No attempt to prepare our room earlier than 4pm after arriving early. To make things worse the facilities such as the bar and the restaurant aren’t open during the daytime so there’s nowhere for guests to be welcomed within the hotel except a tiny sun scorched deck on the roof. Don’t arrive at this hotel until 4pm and don’t expect to feel welcomed. The rooms are tiny. Our deluxe see view was so poorly designed, the bathroom had more space than the actual room. No space for suitcases, a pointless desk and chair, tiny wardrobe with doors which if opened totally blocked the room. The balcony doors couldn’t fully open because the bed is in the way. Hotel reception recommended and arranged a taxi to the airport which cost 90 euros and only accepted cash. A terrible hotel which I would not stay in again or recommend.
James B — Google review
Fantastic location pieds dans l'eau! Cosy rooms, a bit small for 2 people, but very nicely furnished. We felt like being home during our stay. Excellent restaurant! We will come back!
Veronique P — Google review
This hotel is way overpriced for what it offers. First there is no parking or even a driveway to safely drop off your luggage. There is no porter or anyone to help with your luggage. It’s on a very busy street with nowhere to stop. You’re lucky to get your bags out of the car without getting hit by a car or people biking rapidly by. The parking garage is a public garage that’s a 8 minute walk away. It’s about 45€ a night. The rooms are extremely small with barely any room to walk around the bed. The rooftop pool is unattended with about 6 old chairs and bird droppings around the edge as no one attends to it regularly. The “spa” is a small heated pool in the basement. Also unattended. We didn’t have breakfast but the buffet looked like minimal offering and mid

The hotel is awesome. The best view in Marseille from every room. The restaurant is excellent for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And the hotel staff are so welcoming and take care of whatever you might need. This is probably my 10th visit and the staff are still the same which says a lot about the vibe of the hotel. And the rooftop bar and pool can't be beat.
Stephen D — Google review
Beautiful building, location is stunning. And very nice breakfast! But this hotel is completely overpriced given that there is zero service, rooms are tinny, extremely unpractical and also very noisy (no double glazing, it feels like having an open window, can hear EVERYTHING outside). Avoid if you want quiet. WiFi is terrible.
Mimi G — Google review
We had an incredible time in Les Bords De Mer for our honeymoon -- they upgraded us to a Deluxe Deep Sea View room and provided us champagne and a balloon to celebrate! The staff were very helpful in coordinating our day in Marseille and we soaked in the amazing views from our room and the pool deck at the top!

Grand Hôtel Beauvau Marseille Vieux-Port - MGallery is a luxurious hotel located in the heart of Marseille near the Old Port. The hotel offers sophisticated rooms and suites adorned with 19th-century furnishings and complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy dining at the airy restaurant, which serves typical Normandy cuisine while overlooking the promenade and the sea.
Prime location - close to every major tourist attraction and the metro station is just at the door step. Nice room - our room was huge and overlooking the Old Port. It was just picturesque. Great service - every staff was amazing. They were friendly, helpful and close to heart. Tasty food - breakfast was probably the best we had so far. It was not only the food but the view. There was a good amount of choices and above all, delicious!
Franklin L — Google review
The room was well laid out and looked recently renovated with a new bathroom and separate toilet. The design and facilities in the room are very good. It would be good if the hotel would add a rack for the guests' toiletries in the shower. Also this new system for bedding (which I have experienced recently in another hotel) of a single washable duvet cover (with a duvet inside) and no sheet, does not allow the sleeper any temperature control. You can be too hot or too cold but can't get rid of the duvet without having nothing over you at all. If I visited again I would bring a bed sheet!
Peter S — Google review
We loved our stay at the Grand Hotel Beauvau in Marseille. Perfect location right on the harbour front. We had a newly renovated room which was bright, airy and well appointed with beautiful finishes. The breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed looking out over the port every morning. Helpful staff on reception. Overall we’d highly recommend. We got an amazing deal for our trip through Secret Escapes.

Loved the room, large, looks like it has been recently renovated, well our room. Comfortable bed and slept well. Excellent location, next to metro station. My husband left his camera behind and the staff went above and beyond to locate the camera and arrange for shipment back home. We really appreciate the staff assistance with this as they acted so promptly. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Thanks

We stayed here for 3 nights. The best thing about this hotel was the location in the old port area, easily accessible by metro from the train station. The hotel itself isn’t new or modern, however it does exude an old-world charm. We had a room with view of the old port. Being right next to a busy traffic area, some of the street noise does get through the windows esp the siren from emergency vehicles (and there seems to be a lot of them!), but even as a light-sleeper the small amount of street noise didn’t bother me. The bathroom is renovated and modern. There is an aircon system in the room which worked well as it was quite warm when we were there. In terms of value, it probably isn’t the best price/value, but for the location it can’t be beaten.

Arrived via train station, easy taxi or metro to hotel. Upon arrival room was ready and given a port view which was breathtaking. While the room is on the small side all amenities and finishings top quality. Highly recommend just check your bill as breakfast is auto added but then had to have it removed as we didn't eat.

Great location and view! The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The only downfall in my opinion is the hotel feels quite lived in (stains on the carpet in our room, stains on the shower floor & bathroom wall). It might benefit from a refresh at some point to feel like a true 4 star hotel.

Hotel in perfect location next to The Old Port. Walking distance to most of the town and the sites. Great room with a view of the port - clean, modern, comfortable plenty of in-room facilities. The staff, without exception, were all extremely friendly and helpful (and spoke perfect English).

Hôtel La Residence Du Vieux Port is a unique and colorful harborfront hotel in Marseille, offering chic 50s-inspired rooms with minibars and free Wi-Fi. The retro styling of the hotel embraces elements from periods as disparate as the 18th century and the 1950s, creating light-flooded spaces with fabulous views of Basilica. The individually decorated rooms offer private balconies or terraces with some featuring antique, free-standing tubs.
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Marseille’s Old Port, this cozy and rustic hotel is a true gem. The lobby, adorned with striking art deco windows and furnished with retro 1970s sofas and chairs, exudes a warm and relaxing ambiance, offering a serene escape from the bustling surroundings. Our room was surprisingly spacious, blending simple modernist and art deco touches with vibrant Mondrian-esque hues, complemented by a stunning, unbeatable balcony view. The prime location and charming atmosphere made our stay very comfortable indeed.

Loved everything about this place! The location was great, the views were amazing, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was especially delicious. The staff here were absolutely lovely and incredibly accommodating - from our late arrival and very early morning departure to daily housekeeping to creating our morning breakfast tray, we felt very well cared for. One of my favorite places I have stayed, ever!

All I can say about this hotel is: location, location, location! If you want to truly feel like you’re in Marseille, this is the place to stay. The hotel sits right on the Vieux-Port, giving you stunning views and direct access to the city’s heart. There may be other hotels nearby, but this one captures the authentic Marseille atmosphere in a way that really makes your stay memorable. From here, you can walk to restaurants, shops, and enjoy the lively harbor scene right at your doorstep. For me, this hotel is all about the experience of being in the perfect spot—it’s Marseille at its best.

A nice hotel with balcony facing the port. The front desk staff are gracious and accommodating. The layout of the room is efficient and I love the balcony facing the port. The hotel is in a great location surrounding by many shops and restaurants. It’s not for long term (more than one week) stay, at least for me. There is no heating rack in the bathroom, and the outlets in the room need to be replaced. I would come back only for a short stay.

I really wanted to like this hotel, and I actually booked it after looking through several reviews. However, I must say that my experience was very sub par. The staff is great - they are very nice and accommodating. The room, however, is not. there is no view, the floors are slanted, and shower head was broken. There is 0 sound barrier between the room and the outside area, so it’s very very loud through the whole night. Super unfortunate because it made it difficult to sleep. Furthermore, there was no adapters that the front desk could lend us to charge our phones. For the price I paid, I just expected more. I would not recommend staying here.

Fantastic. One of nicest ever views and balconies. High quality, friendly and classy. Free bottle of wine and mini bar prices very reasonable. Can't wait to go back.
Jane B — Google review
This hotel surprised us as we booked very last minute. It was very reasonable for a balcony room overlooking the old port. It isn’t the most beautiful hotel in the area but we spent most of the time exploring so it didn’t matter. We were looking out rather than looking at it. The staff were very friendly and is family owned. We found our room to be clean, a little dated perhaps. Superb location and view. Didn’t eat in the hotel but had great pancakes in the cafe next door.
Moi M — Google review
Very unpleasant stay, and not worth the price. The room was extremely noisy, with a live band in the bar below blaring through the window. The shower had no door, and a person using it soaked the bathroom. Only one of the two bed nightstands had an outlet available. Service was OK, but indifferent. On the plus side, the location is very central.

ALEX Hôtel & Spa is a contemporary boutique hotel in Marseille, offering bright rooms and suites. It's conveniently located opposite the TGV and Eurostar Saint-Charles train station. The hotel features modern yet friendly decor, a chic bar-lounge for cocktails, and a spa with a sauna, hammam, massage cabin, and glass-roofed relaxation lounge. This 3-star gem provides cozy accommodations with vibrant accents creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the city.
I love this hotel! Elegant chill vibe. I've stayed there twice, both rooms were comfortable and spacious. There's an outdoor courtyard to meet friends or family. Also a comfortable interior lounge. The front desk support, breakfast personnel and cleaning staff are all exceptional. Special thanks to Christine, Iskandar and Nicolas. We'll be back many times more! 🌷

For 200 a night I expected much more.... Our room (double deluxe) was in a side building with no elevator and 3 floors to go..(1 down, then straight, then 2 up). Our room was very smelly, it probably was the carpet. When opening a window you get a lot of flies in the room. The bed and towels were super soft, my friend loved it, I prefer firmer. The breakfast was ok, enough. The spa was dated, tiles coming off, the pool was cold, the experience shower was too loud. The sauna and haman were good, 2 relax beds were pure plastic, not comfortable at all to be in. The spa is not cleaned until I think in the morning, so if you have a later shift of the spa, prepare for some dirt that the ones before you left behind. The location: well exactly what you can expect from a station neighbourhood. The staff was super friendly and helpful

Stayed in room 810. Very comfortable and clean room with everything you'd expect from a solid hotel. At a very convenient location right next to the train station and about a 20 minute walk from Old Port with plenty of food and stores in between. Also paid a bit extra for breakfast in the morning and it was a nice assortment of food. One morning there was nobody there, the next it was crammed full of people. The staff in the lobby were extremely helpful with anything we needed or wanted and were much appreciated. Slightly on the pricey side, but definitely would look at staying here again if I come back to Marseilles!

From the first moment communicating with ALEX Hotel & Spa my experience was absolutely first rate. The reception upon arrival was lovely and very welcoming. Our room was large with the most beautiful bathroom. Beds were very comfortable with crisp white linens and duvets. Temperature control was easy. Blackout draperies ensured a very good sleep. Everything was spotlessly clean. The inner courtyard was a quiet, sunny place to sit in the afternoon for a break. The location directly across from the main train station is key for an easy entry and departure from the city. Walking the city from here was easy. Additionally, I booked a massage at the spa which was one of the best I have ever had. Will absolutely return.

Sasha G — Google review
I booked a stay at this hotel because of the positive reviews—big mistake. The location is convenient, right next to the station, but beyond that there is nothing positive to say. The rooms were not clean, and as soon as we entered, we immediately wanted to leave. The person at reception kindly showed us other rooms, including a higher-standard one, but they were not much better. Unfortunately, we had booked a non-refundable room, and despite the poor condition of the rooms, there was nothing we could do to get a refund. In the end, we preferred to leave, book another hotel, and lose our money rather than stay any longer.
Pauline M — Google review
Good rooms, location may be good or may not depending on your needs, service was poor. Our room, a suite with a balcony was very nice. We had issues with the air conditioning but the room itself was lovely. The location is good if you are traveling in and out of the station. But it's a busy neighborhood, close to a city station. Everything you want to do in Marseille (other than take a train) is quite far... good restaurants, nice neighborhoods, etc. Expect young men loitering outside the hotel. Not dangerous, because the hotel controls the doors, but not pleasant either. The service was mostly surly and inattentive. When breakfast is busy, expect to wait for cups, plates, bowls, coffee, and food will run out.
Anthony S — Google review
Hard to say enough good about this place! Location is right across the street from the main transit center (St. Charles), reception was very friendly and helpful, room was comfortable with free water, the spa was very relaxing, and there a lots of lounging areas. When you’re ready to head out, the hotel will give you all sorts of recommendations and getting there from the hotel couldn’t be easier. I’ll be back!

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Marseille Vieux Port offers a luxurious stay with polished rooms and suites overlooking the harbor. Guests can indulge in a delectable brunch at the elegant restaurant Solaris, featuring an array of dishes from smoothies and pancakes to exquisite salads and a tempting dessert buffet. The hotel boasts the best rooms with citadel or Vieux Port views, some even offering private terraces. Visitors can relax by the seasonal rooftop swimming pool or enjoy the dedicated petanque court.
Absolutely stunning hotel, it's located at the end of the old port of Marseille. Rooms are very spacious, extremely clean and beds are super comfy. I've used the swimming pool on the rooftop where I also had a drink. Rooms are pricey but totally worth the price

We had a great stay at this hotel, ideally located right by the Vieux-Port — perfect for walking around the city and enjoying the local vibes. The pool area was a major highlight: clean, spacious, and perfect for relaxing under the sun. The rooms were comfortable, and we loved the view. Breakfast was tasty, although one morning felt a bit chaotic due to limited staff. Also, service by the pool could be improved — one of the attendants lacked professionalism and didn’t reflect the otherwise high standard of the hotel. Overall, we still really enjoyed our time here and would happily come back for the location, comfort, and poolside relaxation. 4/5 – Great spot with room for small service improvements.
VIC — Google review
The Radisson Blu Marseille Vieux Port is very well-suited for travellers who prioritise location, want harbour views, and appreciate modern, comfortable hotel amenities. It particularly suits couples, tourists who plan to explore the city on foot, or those looking for an upgrade over basic lodging. In one line: “A stylish stay right by the Old Port—great view, excellent setting; just check room grade and set expectations about service details.” If you’re looking for ultra-luxury boutique, perfect immaculate rooms, or absolute quiet, you might consider comparing with other 5-star options; but for a solid 4-star plus stay in central Marseille, this ticks many boxes. 💡 Practical tips • Book a harbour view room if your budget allows—it makes a meaningful difference in experience. • Request a quieter room (ask for one away from street/port-facing if noise is a concern). • Check amenity availability: If the rooftop pool is important to you, check that it’s open during your dates (seasonality or maintenance can affect). • Check condition on arrival: Since some rooms vary in condition, if you notice defects, report immediately and ask for a resolution. • Use the location to your advantage: The Vieux Port façade puts you within walking distance of cafés, boat trips, museums, and public transport. • Budget for extras: Dining, drinks and premium rooms may carry extra cost given the central location. • For families or longer stays: Confirm room configurations, especially if you’re with children, and check for connecting rooms. • Check parking/transport: If you’re arriving by car, facility and cost may be higher than hotels outside the city centre—plan accordingly. • Time your visit: If you’re staying during busy summer weeks, book early for best rooms; if in quieter season, you may get better rate and less crowd at pool.

We had a disappointing stay. This hotel has a thing going for being eco-friendly, which is a good thing. But when I am paying this price on holiday, I am not sacrificing comfort for simply being eco. The cleaners did not change our towels because of "eco". They did not change the towels in the tub either or even pick up our beach towels that dropped on the floor. They somehow put some of our clothes on the floor after making the bed and left it there (?). We stayed in a triple room and was only offered 2 cans (yes cans, not bottles because plastic is bad for the environment) of water, which was not even refilled the next day. When we called for a refill, we were told we need to pay because apparently we need to reduce waste. On the positive side, the rooms are quite clean and the pool is nice though smaller than expected. The front lady was also really friendly and helpful. The location was really convenient. However, at this price I would not recommend it. I would probably stay somewhere else if I am to visit Marseille again.

The place is great. I stayed for four nights with my husband. The staff were cordial and welcoming. Breakfast offered almost everything you could think of. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The only downside was the AC—it didn’t work well at night, and the room felt a bit too warm. The location is perfect, with easy access to buses.

Really nice business and tourist hotel in fabulous location in the heart of (safe) Marseilles. Exceptional service with very good facilities. The concierge recommendations were fabulous. I checked in early and they had a wonderful room for me. I left some books in my room after checking out by mistake. They found them for me and posted them to the UK for a small charge. Just so impressed. Highly recommended and a beacon for the Radisson Blu brand.

A friend of mine held his birthday party at this hotel and took about 17 people with him. We were supposed to be on the same floor, or so several people told us. We arrived, and it turned out everyone was on a different floor and in a different wing. The organization at this hotel is simply a disaster. The reception staff speaks almost no English and doesn't even know basic English, which is very necessary in such a touristy place. I received flip-flops and a bathrobe in my room, but my friend in the room next door didn't. We called the staff, and the lady said that such service wasn't available in such a poor room. Also when u are a tourist and u dont speak french u have to pay a tourists fee 19€ and they tell u that after u spend the days here😄.

I stayed with a friend for the last weekend and we came for the wedding. We checked out on Sunday and went to Cassis. I realised that i left my swimsuit in the bathroom hanging. I asked a friend the same day to pick it up as she was getting luggage later. The first of all they said that their lots and found was closed after 16 and in this case they will send an email with the link to fill the form to ship it by post. There was no email and link. We sent an email. No answer. I called them in the evening next day of check out. So they had any idea of this swimsuit and again their housekeeping is not available. So i called next morning the answer was they haven’t found any swimsuit and i have to report to the police in order to them to do something. Is it joke? And their housekeeping is not working for them and they are outsourced. They do not have any kind of responsibilities for any belongings that left in the rooms. So after this experience and their attitude of staff how it can be trusted and stay at this hotel. It was just swimsuit which really loved it but if you leave something valuable then what would happen. I did not stay in hostel or in public place where there is no responsibility for forgotten things. Also initially we asked separate beds when we did booking and we asked the same during the check in but we got one king bed and after 5 times reminding and asking just random housekeeping we managed to get a separate bed and it was done only next day after checked in. The worst hotel service i have ever experienced.

The best thing about staying here was the people - lots of helpful advice from the women on reception as I had to get a very early train from Marseille St Charles station and hadn't used Marseille's metro system before. They gave me a great map and a confidence boost. A good buzz in the bar/restaurant. A couple of niggles about the room - I ended up fixing a piece of cardboard over a light on the broken climate control that kept flashing through the night - but nothing major. Rooms are small but prices reflect that, I think. Am looking forward to staying again.

NH Collection Marseille is a sophisticated hotel located in the La Joliette district of Marseille. Housed in a grand Haussmann-style building, it offers beautifully minimalist rooms with light wood floors and whitewashed walls. The hotel features a gym, sauna, modern tapas restaurant, cocktail bar, and garden. Situated between the port and city center, it's just minutes away from cultural attractions like La Vieille Charite and Marseille Saint-Charles train station.
AWESOME stay at at the NH Collection Marseille! What a wonderful surprise this hotel was as we usually stay in Hiltons but the Hilton in Marseille is too far from town. I booked the NH Marseille for our one night before we got on a cruise. We booked a 2 room suite and it was so spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and varied. Location is perfect! About a 10 minute walk to the old harbor. BEST of all was their people. The front desk staff is absolutely the nicest. So genuinely friendly and sweet and helpful. If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would! Thank you NH Collection Marseille for an amazing experience.

We stayed here twice during our trip. Once at the beginning and once at the end, each stay for two nights. We could not have been more pleased with our choice. The location was excellent in our opinion and it is a quick 10-15 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of the Old Port, yet much quieter and less touristy. There were restaurants and stores nearby. Both stays provided clean and comfortable rooms, yet note that the bathrooms are extremely small. We appreciated the hot water kettle in the room and BBC news in English on the television. The breakfast was good although there was always a long wait for the coffee machine. This could be lessened with urns of “American” coffee….and less expensive for the hotel as well!! We understand not all guests are American, but the choice of using an urn or the machine might help shorten the line….and the frustration we overheard. The absolute best feature of this hotel is the Reception staff. They are the “face” of the hotel…the people who set up whether you feel welcome. Selma was amazing during our first stay and we spoke of her while we were touring and looked forward to seeing her on our return. ALL of the Reception staff were so professional and helpful. Congratulations to that team! I would not hesitate to recommend NH Collection Marseilles and would stay here again.

This marks my third stay with NH Worldwide. While the room size and bathroom were satisfactory, the initial room's location at the end of the corridor on the E level offered a less than desirable view. We requested a room change from reception, and although initially informed that a change was not possible, we received a call five minutes later confirming a room relocation for the following day. The new room, located on the 5th floor, was a significant improvement. The reception staff provided excellent service. Special commendation is due to Ms. Nisreen in the restaurant, whose performance was exceptional, demonstrating cheerfulness and helpfulness. The breakfast selection was extensive and of high quality, with the added convenience of made-to-order omelets. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel on two occasions, finding both the chicken and lamb dishes to be particularly delicious. The hotel's proximity to the underground, tram, and bus lines, along with a ten-minute walk to the old harbor, provides convenient access to local transportation and attractions. I would recommend this hotel for future stays.

During my stay at NH Collection Marseille (16–20 Aug 2025), I experienced a serious issue. At 3am, a stranger entered my room with a hotel-issued key and stood by our beds. When confronted, he left. Despite several calls to reception, no explanation or security support was provided during the night. We checked out early at 8:30am and only then were told it was a room allocation error. The reception manager did not speak to us directly and asked staff to tell us to wait for guest relations, who arrived after 9am. The guest relations representative apologized, explained the system error, and promised a refund for the unused prepaid nights. Now, a month later, the refund has still not been processed and I have received no follow-up or update from management, despite requesting escalation. This was handled poorly at the hotel level, both in terms of safety and communication. I had expected higher standards from NH Collection.

This is an excellent hotel in a perfect location, close enough to the Old Port but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were really helpful. In particular, our request for a quiet room was taken seriously and we were very happy with the room. They were quick to sort out the minor problem we had with housekeeping. We can certainly recommend.

Stayed at NH Collection Marseille for a short city break. The 210 room was clean overall, and I appreciated the complimentary upgrade to a king-size room — a nice touch from the front desk staff, who were friendly and helpful throughout. The bed was on the firmer side, but surprisingly comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. However, the bathroom was a let down. The shower was unacceptably dirty, with visible old grime on the walls — not what you'd expect from a hotel in this category. The location is decent, within walking distance of some main points of interest.. The standout highlight was definitely the breakfast: excellent quality and a wide variety of options. Overall, a mixed stay — some high points, but the cleanliness issue in the shower really brought the experience down.

Extremely bad experience. While we were sleeping a man walked in on us. Thank god im a light sleeper. And when we called the management they refused to explain until morning. We couldnt sleep and stayed up all night in the end they said sorry we double booked the room we will refund you. They never did. They stopped answering our emails calls. Be careful. The room/location may be good but the safety issues and customer service are atrocious.

New Hotel Of Marseille, located in the Vieux Port area of Marseille, offers a modern and vibrant stay with a range of amenities. The hotel boasts a pool, restaurant, bar, and an art gallery featuring original pieces from local and international artists. Its prime location allows easy access to attractions like the Old Port, beach, Abbaye Saint Victor Abbey, and Palais du Pharo.
We stayed at the New Hotel of Marseille for one night during our roadtrip through Europe and this was one of the most pleasant experiences we had. Location Perfect location neaby the Marseille harbour where you are a walking distance away from all amazing restaurants and sights in the city Check-in No problem at all, very informative and friendly. Rooms The rooms are up-to-date, clean and offers everything you need. Sufficient AC, comfy beds and clean bathroom. Pool area We hung out by the pool throughout the late afternoon and the pool and surrounding area around it is nice with great service. Would absolutely recommend an afternoon here with a drink or two. Parking The hotel is connected to the Q-Park Pharo parking facility where we booked a spot in advance. The parking space is in comparison to other parking solutions in Europe of high quality and we could easily enter and leave the facility without any hassle. We are for sure coming back!

Beautiful hotel. Good location. Nice room. Mattress was dipped on left side and felt like sleeping in a hole. Bathroom was nicely decorated however getting in and out of Bath was a bit scary, nothing to hold on to. Very quiet, good view. Ate at restaurant for dinner. Cod dish, no flavor a bit dry. Duck with sweet potato, amazing. Breakfast bar was done very well, great selections. Everything was fresh! We enjoyed our stay. Parking was very convenient, under hotel!!!

Pretty hotel in a great location. A major drawback regarding the cleanliness of the room: there was a lot of dust and crumbs on the floor. The pool is nice and clean but a bit deep. The staff is very friendly.

While our stay was "fine" this hotel in no way deserves 4 stars. To start with the good aspects, the staff are all friendly and attentive. The beds are fine (besides terrible pillows), and the location makes it an easy walk to most every tourist attraction in the area. Now, I rarely leave a bad review but anyone staying at this hotel should be aware of the below so as to not waste your time or money. The absolute worst aspect of this hotel though is anything food or drink related. The breakast is convenient but certainly not worth near the price, bland potatoes, soggy eggs and bacon. One night of our stay we did not feel like going out to dinner and went to the bar to redeem our free drink coupons and get a bite to eat. The free drink was the worst red wine that we have ever had and should be a crime to serve in France. We then ordered gin tonics and the charcuterie, assuming they couldn't possibly mess that up. We received what I can only guess was sprite and gin drink that we each took one sip of and a charcuterie board of what seemed to be packaged lunch meat, ice cold butter that was impossible to spread on the otherwise bland bread, and some bits of cold cheese. Literally the worst excuse for a charcuterie I have ever seen. DO NOT EAT OR DRINK HERE.

The hotel is in a decent location and the room, facilities, and pool are clean and reasonable. The customer service needs some work though. I travel a ton for work and stay all over the world- this was a new one.... I arrived a few minutes before 3pm and attempted to check in. I was told I was early and the room would not be available for an hour or so. When I pointed out that their website says "check in from 1500 to 0000", they told me that From 1500 means it could be that early, but that they could take longer. Now, I understand that things happen, and maybe they were behind on cleaning the rooms, but don't tell me that "check in from 1500 to 0000" means that they could decide anytime within that window is acceptable.... I asked for a refund, as the hotel across the street would let me check in then. They refused. Then, suddenly, they found a room.

Hotel okayish & everything walking distance. However, not 4 stars. Seemed as it is not main season and everything looked not much prepared yet. Complementary, worst experience with the receptionists. Super unfriendly, very much not helpful. Did not even looked up or said hi. Kinda disrespectful to me as a women (& younger). Did not explained anything for the Hotel Checkin. Had to ask every question myself. We already had lowered expectations in France (generally) as they are usually not much service oriented (and let u feel they hate speaking English), however, he managed to go even lower. Did very much felt unwelcomed as guest. The receptionst really managed to let us question, if he is in the right position to represent a hotel & welcome guest or even interact with them. No presence, negative and below supportive. (Time: 27th May 2025 around 2pm - elderly & with glasses // younger colleague at least helped with the bags. Talked french to each other and gave very unpleasant vibe and somewhat arrogant. Could not tell if this was the case as we had the audacity to ask questions (poole usage prio checkin possible etc. where they did not dropped a word). Met othet guest and they had the same. Funfact: was my birthday and he had my ID in his hads and did not said anything as well haha - not that he had too, but at least this would be my bare minimum for human interaction lol) Would appreciate to give a other review, however, not the case. Do the hotel a favor and protect other guests of this experience.

As I write this I am sitting on a balcony from which I can see the old port and a part of the sea. The staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate us. Would definitely stay here again!

Hôtel Maison Montgrand Vieux-Port is a unique and streamlined hotel located in the historic part of Marseille. It offers simple yet pleasant accommodation with free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, bar, and café. The hotel features a cozy tea room where guests can enjoy breakfast in the morning or afternoon tea with an extensive selection of teas and artisanal treats.
A wonderful little hotel in a perfect location! The rooms are compact but more than sufficient – after all, you’re just a 5-minute walk from the harbor, 2 minutes from the shopping street, and 4 minutes from the best restaurants in town. The breakfast is small but very diverse and delicious – a perfect way to start the day! I was especially impressed by the high-quality Rituals shampoo and soap, a small but thoughtful touch. The room prices are fair, and a great bonus is that you can enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate even late in the evening – and at very reasonable prices! Another advantage is the well-organized parking solution: The parking garage is only a 5-minute walk away, so you can easily access your car if needed. The rooms could be a bit warmer, but overall, this is a highly recommended, charming hotel!

Really convenient hotel for our 1 night stay in Marseille. The selling point was the amazing restaurant but the rooms did not disappoint for the purpose that they served. Hotels should always provide water- without the amazing restaurant this would have been a 2/3 stars because there’s one water dispenser on the first floor. If you’re on the third floor you won’t be happy

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and hassle-free. The staff were incredibly attentive and always ready to help with a smile. The room was modern, well-maintained, and had a lovely view.

The location is perfect and safe. Easy to walk around and close to shops and restaurants. I took a taxi at 4 in the morning from the hotel and it was well organised. Room was well ventilated and the air conditioner, thankfully, was working well despite the heat outside.

It's actually regarding there Garden restaurant. It was a bad experience when it comes to food. The service and friendliness is great the atmosphere is great and a nice setting. We started of with the 1 st course and it was really good, both the car patio de loup and my beef tartare were really good. The wine wasn't fresh I could feel like the bottle was opened the day before. The main cource was a disaster. We took the tuna steak ( mi cuit ) but it had a strong fishy smell like as if it was there for a couple of days in there fridge. And I took the poitrine de veau confite which is supposed to be slow cooked and very tender you wouldn't need a knife even... I received a piece of verry bad meet in a nice plate. I tried cutting but couldn't even because of all the vein and cartilage etc.. a returned after trying to find an edible side and couldn't ... The apologized and removed it from the bill after I said I don't want any other main course because I was feeling bad from that dish.. I expected them to offer dessert or coffee at least ... But nada. To top it off when the manager brought the bill we realized that she didn't apply theFork discount of 30 % and we had to remind her... In summery place is nice, people are nice but lack training, food was not up to the Bistro comic standard at all... Nice plating but bad taste.

Great location. Very good restaurant. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Beds on the soft side. Power sockets weirdly clunky. I wish I could unsee how the staff behind the bar did the dishes. With water and their bare hands. DISGUSTING.

The rooms didn’t match what was advertised online – very humid, and the A/C was freezing cold. The next morning, I arrived at 09:59 for breakfast, just hoping for a cappuccino and croissant, and was met with a sharp ‘Breakfast is only until 10!’ – in French, of course. I countered with some French assertiveness of my own, insisted, and got what I wanted. That small win brings it up to 3 stars instead of 2.

Hôtel 96 is a charming guesthouse located on the outskirts of Marseille, close to the Calanques National Park. The boutique hotel offers chic and quirky rooms with modern Provencal furnishings and free Wi-Fi. Set in a 19th-century house, it features an outdoor pool, gardens, sauna, and massage facilities for guests to unwind.
This is a delightful, quiet, and charming hotel on the outskirts of Marseille. The breakfasts are delicious and a great value. I loved the gardens. Taking transit from downtown to this hotel isn't difficult. I wish it could be a little closer to Marseille, but then it wouldn't be so quiet and pretty. Short bus ride to the nearby Calanques as well.
Peter H — Google review
My stay at Hôtel 96 was magical! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I only speak like 2 words of French (and badly) and they were able to answer my questions and provide recommendations and support. Amazing staff! I stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe double room. I enjoyed the fresh breakfast twice & dinner twice as well. All of the food was delicious! The room was clean, had drinks and snacks available for purchase, a comfortable bed, and a nice outdoor space. If you are focused on spending a lot of time in Marseille downtown this is not an ideal location, but it was perfect for my stay! I was able to go to La Calanques through a 10m walk (narrow & steep streets if you have mobility concerns) and then a 20m bus ride (can tap your credit card on board, no ticket needed!). I definitely recommend going as early as you can and to check if a permit is needed for the park on the day you are visiting. The pool is sooo nice and beautiful with fragrant flowers surrounding it and plenty of sun shades. Amazing stay and I hope to come back!

A beautiful place, very peaceful since outside city center. Easy access to beach and calanques, about 30 min to city center. The suite was large and beautiful, the grounds and pool lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was small but good quality. Highly recommended!

This hotel is a great place to stay if you need a quiet getaway from Marseille or you want to visit the Calanques. The entry to Sormiou/Morgiou trails are a 30 min walk or only a few bus stops away. It is very secure with a gate & code. Lots of parking. As soon as you enter, it smells like flowers, and you are met with a beautiful garden and pool. All of the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were cute & clean. And the whole place has a lot of charm. I will definitely come back.

Lovely, unique, tranquil hotel. Large rooms and bathrooms, clean spaces, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Everything seemed to be made in house and tasted wonderful. The lighting in the rooms are perfect (warm and hospitable) and the beds are comfortable. The only things that could be improved is that the patio / balcony really needed to be cleaned before arrival (it was left dirty and felt like an after thought) and it would be helpful if the gate code was shared as well. The price felt a little steep (it would be nice if breakfast was included) but I did book the room fairly last minute. All around excellent if you're staying outside Marseilles as it's incredibly close (walking or bussing distance) to the national park.

Hotel 96 is an oasis set on the outskirts of Marseille. We enjoyed the quiet and lovely setting, garden and pool. Our room was super comfortable, decorated in a modern style, clean, spacious and quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was amazing to find a city hotel that felt like we were in the countryside.

This place is amazing! It feels like a little peace of Provence nestled in the middle of Marseille. Laure, the young lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was amazing: organic bread, home made jam, compote, cakes, muesli and yogurts!! And lots more. A real feast. The swimming pool is beautiful. Our family of four stayed only three nights but we would have loved to stay longer. We warmly recommend.

Beautiful oasis south of Marseille! Really clean and comfortable rooms and delicious, generous breakfast! The service is welcoming and genuine. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but you can walk directly to two spectacular Calanques from the hotel and also several fantastic restaurants. I wish I could have stayed longer! I can't wait to come back.

Nestled at the base of the historic Canebière district and directly across from the picturesque Old Port, New Hotel Le Quai - Vieux Port offers a refreshing blend of comfort and style. The hotel features laid-back rooms adorned with unique rattan beds and natural elements like wooden stools, wicker lightshades, and rustic linens. Guests can enjoy complimentary WiFi and minifridges in their rooms for added convenience.
Fantastic location—buses, trams, and trains are right outside the door, making it incredibly easy to get to all the major sights. The room was very clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. The AC worked fine, and the overall experience was comfortable and pleasant. Just a note: there is NO POOL, despite a misleading photo on Google Reviews. Still, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back.

We had quite a disappointing experience. The room we stayed in was very nice and spacious. The location is superb. But the service is disappointing. Firstly, nobody is allowed to check in before 3PM. They don’t seem to have a system in place with which they can check if rooms are ready to be moved into. So everyone is queuing at 3PM to check into their rooms which makes the process very long. Secondly, room service is very inconsistent and when asking for toilet paper in the evening, the person at the reception does not have access to the room with extra toilet paper. It‘s a 4 star hotel and not cheap, having access to extra toilet paper this is the bare minimum. As mentioned, the rooms, the design and location are amazing, but just don’t expect a 4 star treatment.
Janika R — Google review
This was probably one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in for the extortionate price. The food is disgusting for breakfast and to leave meats out like that in a hot reception room is actually dangerous. The fruit is all canned and the sausages and eggs are absolutely vile/dangerous (see photo). It’s all just done so offensively cheap and it feels like you’ve been taken advantage of. We also requested a cot very clearly in the booking - it was not only not provided, but there was just a wooden board for it and no mattress. Staff are quite rude except for one man. The rooms are nice, but lack little things like soap, or shampoo in the shower. The pillows are SO uncomfortable - worth bringing your own

An excellent choice if staying in the vieux port. Super central location but one street off of the main road so a little quieter. Room was spotless, recently renovated bathroom, room had a mini fridge, everything in the hotel was modern and staff was friendly. We were able to check into our room a bit early as well. Highly recommend!

Very satisfying stay! A true gem that one won't be disappointed. - Clean, modern design and very spacious rooms, it is worth it to go for one with the harbour view and/or terrace (despite all being at an angle due to the building's position, still very beautiful view) - Made best use of the original design of the building - Reasonably priced (by European standard) and most convenient location if visiting the Old Port area - All the staff are superb, especially the night desk gentleman, who helped us with the luggage and opened the side door, always willing to help out with a genuine smile - On our next trip to Marseille, we plan to return and stay there again - Wish there are more charming hotels like that in the world

Excellent, well-located hotel moments from the old port. I received a warm welcome from the friendly, helpful receptionist and was given a fabulous room. She said because I was trying to speak French! The in-room breakfast was a real treat, as were the L’Occitane toiletries. The stunning tall balconies with great views made the stay extra special.

Loved our stay here and would/will absolutely stay again! Cute, spacious rooms with great service and great location central to Vieux Port - right next to the metro. Has air conditioning and en suite bathrooms with full shower, and you can have breakfast pastries delivered to your door if you wish in the morning.

Nestled in a prime location overlooking the Old Port, Maisons du Monde Hôtel & Suites - Marseille Vieux Port offers chic and refined accommodations with unique decor inspired by different parts of southern France. The rooms, such as Saint-Re, Gordes, Cassis, Lourmarin, and Aubagne, each exude their own distinct ambiance. Some rooms even boast stunning port views.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Very clean, beautiful styling and incredibly comfortable. Very cool A/C. Right on the old port but no street noise at all. Breakfast was amazing - a lovely array of fruits, nuts, yoghurt, pasties, breads and omelettes made to order - incredible.

Wonderful location and very beautiful interior. I got myself comfort room which is only 2 m2 bigger than standard thinking it’s going to be small and just have a space to work around the bed, but to my surprise the room is very spacious and well designed, so standard room would’ve been just perfect. Another bonus: they have gluten free bread and even gluten free almond cake at breakfast! The staff is very nice and accommodating.

Live like a local in Marseille — with boutique style and true comfort. I stayed in the apartment side of the hotel (Room 7, a few blocks from the main suites), and it was truly an experience! The walk through the cobblestone streets with my suitcase felt like a scene out of Marseille itself — and the staff made it special, greeting me with rosé and personally escorting me to the apartment. My one-bedroom was spacious, complete with robes, slippers, a washer (no dryer), and a full kitchen setup. Traveler Tips: • No room service here, so stock up at the nearby grocery (MRC) for essentials like oils, coffee, and breakfast items. • Sundays in Europe often mean closures — plan ahead if you’ll need food or supplies. • There’s a Starbucks just around the corner, and Uber Eats does deliver here (though I didn’t get to try it before leaving). It truly felt like my own Marseille apartment — comfortable, stylish, and a perfect base for exploring the Vieux Port. Follow along for more tips; I’ll be sharing the grocery review next.

Awful experience Hotel decor was cheap looking, photos are very touched up Bedroom was tiny. Im 6 foot 2 and my feet were coming off the end of the bed. Had 3 terrible nights of sleep. AC didn't work. It was 20 degrees outside and the hotel had the heating on full blast. Impossible to sleep at night. Got eaten alive by mosquitoes in November because we had to leave the window open. Bathroom was tiny I could barely fit in it Bathroom extractor fan didn't work so the room was insanely humid after a shower Carpets were dirty Coffee machine was broken Only thing good about this hotel is the location. Do not recommend

Great location. Rooms with harbor views are noisy but worth it if you want to live the Vieux Port experience. Great breakfast and special mention for Louisa whose smile and kindness make all the difference!!! ❤️
Allard — Google review
The 'no AC out of summer' rule is a joke, completely ruins the 4-star experience. It was >25ºC during the day and ~20ºC at night during our stay, and you get mosquitoes and extra noise by opening the window. A shame, because everything else was good: Friendly staff, excelent location, nice bed and good bathroom.
Felipe A — Google review
Location is the best thing the hotel has to offer. When we arrived, we went through the usual check in process, the credit card was charged for the stay + deposit, and the keys to the room were given. Then they tell us that the elevator is broken, and we have to go up a few flights of stairs to get to the room. We are not spring chickens anymore, but no questions were asked if we are capable of doing it. Once we got to the room and opened the door, there were yet another five steps to get to the bed 🙄. The room itself was very disappointing, way to tiny.

Le Petit Nice Passedat - Hôtel 5 étoiles Relais & Châteaux is an elegant establishment located in the coastal enclave Anse de Maldorme, just outside Marseille. The hotel offers contemporary rooms and suites, while its renowned fine-dining restaurant, led by chef Gerald Passedat, boasts three Michelin stars. The menu features dishes that showcase the region's abundant fish and seafood, influenced by Marseille's distinct culinary identity with French and Spanish flavors.
I knew I was in for multi course seafood-focused meal and it was exceptional. One of the finest meals I’ve had and one of the best meals I had along the Cote D’Azur. Course after course was artfully plated and impeccably served. And it was all delicious. A three-star delight. The room was spare but stylish. Despite being a multi-star establishment it felt relaxed and understated. But if you have the full tasting menu, know you’re in for a few hours for dinner. It was a great dinner and a great evening. A truly memorable experience.

Best view location in Marseille! Staffs super friendly and helpful! Much better than most 5stars hotel chain! Lucky that we did not stay at Four Seasons Hotel this time and stay here! The room is superb and with a diamond water view of the sea! Look forward to the Michelin 3stars meal tomorrow! Highly recommended

This is the worst 5 star hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying. I paid over 1k a night for the romantic suite sea view Traquandi that had a different balcony than what was pictured when I booked it. There was a receptionist that never offered a smile the whole time I was there. I asked for a phone charger - she would not let me take the charger to my room. I asked her if breakfast was included in my stay - she answered yes. Then when I went to eat breakfast, I was charged for parts of my meal (My understanding breakfast was free, if certain parts of the menu were not free, then the receptionist should tell me that). Overall, I would say a 3, maybe 4 star hotel based on the service. Mostly dissatisfied with the deception of the room and poor service. I would recommend The Intercontinental, not Le Petit Nice Passedat.

Francis N — Google review
This was the most disappointing experience at a Michelin * restaurant, at any star level, that I’ve ever had (note: I’ve eaten at dozens of Michelin * restaurants around the world, including 9 different 3 stars). Our experience was so bad it’s actually making me question the fidelity of the Michelin rating system overall. The menu is very, very fish forward. In fact, all dishes (on this particular menu) revolve around seafood dishes from the area. Counterintuitively, the WORST part of every plate was the fish. All other ingredients were beautifully selected, prepared and presented, but the fish was either flavorless or unpleasantly pungent (“fishy” one might say). We also had minor service issues, mostly at the beginning, but those were minor enough and the staff recovered enough to where that alone couldn’t not wreck the experience. Usually when I leave a three star I am uncomfortably full; this time I was hungry. We spent the 10 days prior to this dinner eating at Michelin * restaurants in the area eating ALL THESE SAME fish and loved them, so it is mind blowing how at this restaurant all the fish we cherished in the days before were so bad. I’ve never left a restaurant review before but felt compelled to here. Trying new restaurants in one of my greatest joys in life and I plan my vacations around food. I know this is a hard business and these folks are working under tremendous pressure every day but this place needs to figure things out before it can hold itself out to the public as a 3* experience.
Jeremiah B — Google review
Disclaimer: I’m not a big fan of fish and didn’t realize the set menu was literally all fish. If you love fish maybe you’d like this place better than me but my experience wasn’t great as I was hoping for more variety in the type of seafood they served. The dishes were just too ‘fishy’ for me as the chef specialized in smoked and cured fish. The location and service was fantastic, we had a really nice window view of the Mediterranean. If you come you really gotta love fish in all its flavours and styles.

We stayed for 3 nights, staff are very friendly and willing to help. Hotel room was nice, location is close to public transportation. We were checking out early morning at 5 am and we are requesting if we can have some breakfast to take away, the lady and staff at reception desk was willing to help us with the bag full of food to take away. We really appreciate the gesture, we will come back in the future

Excellent location. Took booked driver from Airport and driver was able to easily access the temporary drop off location right in front. We arrived early and the hotel held our luggage safely. Walking distance from old port, Docks shopping area and mall. We had a taxi pick us up in the morning to easily take us to our cruise port. We had 2 rooms, one with large balcony and another without. Both very clean (except small stains in carpet). Comfortable beds and great shower. Breakfast was good, tad expensive if not included in your overall room price (€21 p/person). Walkable to groceries to get snacks or restaurants in the area. Would stay again.

I booked one night at this hotel through Booking. Upon arrival, I was asked to provide a €250 deposit, which I was fine with. However, it’s been 10 days and I still haven’t received the money back. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Was it eventually resolved? The hotel itself was nice and the location was decent, but overall, the experience wasn’t worth the hassle. If you have extra money to spare, it might be fine, but if you’re traveling on a set budget, I’d think twice. This is the only hotel in France where I encountered such a problem Update 23th of May: I got my deposit back 😊

hotel far from the center/port, about 40 minutes on foot. I do not recommend walking alone or in pairs at night. The district/neighborhood is not safe, about 18 minutes to the metro or tram. The rooms were quite clean and quiet, the bathrooms were modest but clean. The reception staff was very helpful and friendly to all guests. Breakfast is so-so, there is not enough space to sit wherever there is a free place, the breakfast service is quite specific and arrogant, you are not welcome here, that's the impression you get. Apart from that, the stay at the hotel itself was quite successful and the city itself is charming, but not very safe, as I mentioned, at night. I recommend it and give it 5* despite the unpleasant situation at breakfast and the poor selection of meals

Poor rooms, your room would be cleaned only once a week,it’s strange because majority of people go to beach and you need your room to be cleaned more than that. Very strangely ( first time in my experience) no mini fridge in a room even to keep water cold in a hot country or some snacks if you bring to your room. Food really poor quality and not much choice, for breakfast you need to boil your own eggs and make your own crepes which takes ages,no fresh vegetables for breakfast to make sandwich, also window to have dinner is way too short (7:30pm to 9pm) and if you coming around 30 minutes to 9 already half of food is cleared because staff wants to go home. Tables constantly dirty and not being cleaned after someone just had a diner or breakfast,so be prepared clean yourself. A lot of people in this hotel has zero manners, would shout around the tables, cut in queue to get food, like I just been standing and waiting for no reason. Swimming pool- completely occupied by kids,no chance to swim. Good thing you have big parking for free

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel. -The dinner was cold and partly inedible. -Payments in the restaurant and bar only accepted by card. -The room was not cleaned, even upon request. Reason: Our stay was less than 7 days. -Replacement bath towels were only available at reception in exchange for the dirty ones. -A second room card for two people was reluctantly issued.

First time i stay in a “village” but maybe the last time as well. Room… ok i would say but amenities …. Well we got towels. But they get changed every 4 days. In summer where ppl shower as is hot i find that absurd. That was about it. No soap, or shampoo or any other basics and no housekeeping. Again, once a week? Service, well, i guess working with junior people but at least they can be trained. Front desk were trying to be helpful so cant complain. At the bar however is not worth asking for a cocktail. My experience was mojito is overpriced soda water. Location: i won’t comment to not insult.

Bad location, didnt feel safe walking streets nearby, not near restaurants or local attractions. Hotel bars only food is Toaster waffle. Restaurant had nobody in it but couldn't serve us because we didn't set a reservation for them to plan food and server. Breakfast Buffet was terrible, no decent options. Shuttle service too busy to take you anywhere, honestly found Uber cheaper by half then services offered or taxis reception called. Hotel is not real clean, feels like asylum with no decor.

I stayed here for 1 night with my wife and 2 kids during rugby world cup 1/4 final. We paid over £500 for a quad room for 1 night, the building itself and the location are great... but the service was appalling from start to finish. By way of example we arrived at 2pm but were told we could not check in until 5pm (that happened to be same time as Kick off) so we asked of we could leave the 1 suitcase we had in the room but were told that was impossible because it would make it too difficult for room service to clean the room! So we packed our suitcase back into the car and went off to the game. The next morning we popped down to breakfast and sat down at a table set with a napkin, knife/fork and a glass only to be literally shouted at, and by shouted I mean shouted at by a "waitress" (I am guessing that was her job) saying she had just got those tables ready for lunch and why can't we sit at another table!!! 2mins later another couple made the same mistake and a full on argument broke out between the so called "waitress" and the customers.... this is without a doubt the worst hotel experience I have ever endured, it was so bad it was like a caricature of the hospitality business. The staff and management should be ashamed of themselves, they clearly have no pride in their work or the slightest care towards their guests, every guest is treated like an annoyance...the best bit of the £500/night stay was leaving. Avoid this place like the plague!
Finlay F — Google review
Like - 1) Since I was staying on the 1st floor, I had access to a huge balcony and a pool view, which was the only good thing. 2) The staff and the cleaning staff were very warm and good. 3) Lunch and dinner are good (but not breakfast). 4) The hotel provides a shuttle service that is scheduled for every 30 minutes from the hotel to Palais Longchamp. 5) The spa section (that contains a hot sauna, wet sauna and jacuzzi) is really impressive and worth trying. Dislike - 1) I stayed in the Duplex Quadruple Room with four single beds, and unfortunately, the room has insufficient space when 4 people are staying. 2) Also, there was only one cupboard that could not definitely accommodate four-person stuff. 3) I would also say that hotels provide minimum toiletry (only one soap bar for the wash basin and body wash in the bathroom) 4) I literally have the same breakfast from the whole stay with very limited options. 5) Swimming pools (from 10.00 to 18.00) and (from 09.00 to 20.00) are very illogical and inconvenient. Therefore, no one can swim or go to the gym in the morning or night, which is usually the case. 6) the hotel location is quite out of the city, and the neighbourhood is very risky, especially at night. So you always have to take Uber after the dark.

Very casual hotel. Nothing special. It does the job. Rooms are clean and just the bare minimum. There is a nice swimming pool which looks like a beach.

Service was good and all staff members were very friendly and helpful, however the hotel in general was outdated and the room layouts were terrible. Bathrooms/showers were outdated. Breakfast was okay.

Nice place to stay in this part of marseille . For summer time there is a swimming pool . Don’t expect to swim there it’s more to get refresh . The rooms are just ok but very clean . Impossible to set the a/c as it was still in winter mode ( in May ) they offered a fan but not really helpful ( 25 degrees in the room ) . The people were extra nice and helpful, that’s what made a difference honestly. The breakfast was ok but diverse . But the healthy options pretty limited . There is a tiny gym but with a good view
Denis D — Google review
This was a lovely hotel, our room was spacious with a window that opened and it had a/c it also had a coffee machine with pods along with a kettle and tea and coffee options and a small bottle of water. The bathroom was spacious with a big shower and soap. There is also a hairdryer in the bathroom. The bedroom had a nice big TV and we were able to connect to this and stream from our phone which was useful for the rugby matches. We were welcomed and the receptionist was so friendly and very helpful too. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't talk about the food. As for parking we had to pay an extra €10 a night but it was secure with a key code. We had a camper van so we used the outside car park but there was also an underground car park too with a height restriction. The location is ok and easy to drive too. There is a shopping centre opposite with a large Carreforre supermarket which opens to late and on a Sunday morning. It's about a 40 minute walk to the beach where there are some cafes and the Ferris wheel and if you are using the Orange Velodrom stadium it's about a 50 minute walk. This hotel is located right next to the IBIS and so the parking is shared. The hotel also has its own pool and you can collect towels from reception and there is a gym on the top floor. We didn't use either of these as we were their for the quarter finals rugby. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and thought the staff were very friendly.

I stayed at Le Drip's for only two days with my daughter during a (very) short trip to France. The hotel was lovely, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The room was perfect - spacious and cool, with great decor. I would definitely recommend a meal in the restaurant too, the food was delicious and the setting was lovely.

Crowne Plaza Marseille - Le DôME, an IHG Hotel is located in Marseille and offers a range of amenities including a seasonal outdoor pool, private parking, fitness center, and terrace. The 4-star hotel features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and a restaurant serving delicious food. While the immediate surrounding area may not be particularly attractive, the hotel's proximity to the Metro station provides easy access to the city center.
This is an excellent place to spend your vacation in. Although it’s located near a main street, it was quiet inside the building. We enjoyed our stay a lot and had a wonderful time winding down, relaxing at the pool, in the lobby, room, or restaurant. All the staff members were welcoming, kind, and spoke English really well. The breakfast buffet was the perfect combination of a changing variety of fresh food. The pool had just the right temperature and size and it was extremely clean. It looked like it was brand new. It‘s also great that pool towels are provided at the reception and bathrooms/fitting rooms are located right next to the pool. Our room was clean, tidy and well furnished. It was airconditioned, which could easily be adjusted. An unexpected upside was also that we could connect to the TV in the room through AirPlay. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation and we wholeheartedly recommend the team and the hotel to anyone!

Very new hotel in a residential area. Rooms are bright and clean. Mine came with coffeemaker and free Evian Water. But I would only go here if i have a visit at the nearby Arena. Unfortunately the hotel is build overlooking a lot of roads. Take a look at google maps. And getting a room to the sides with the many streets, means lots of traffic noise. Even with the windows closed. Staff at the reception are the most ignorant hotel staff i have experienced in a long time. When asking for another room. They simply didn’t care and started doing other things. Rooms with connecting doors are also to be avoided. You will hear your neighbors. Hotel has a pool. But it is super heartless and not inviting at all. And also with a lot of traffic noise. Do yourself a favor and book another hotel.

Great Rooms. Well laid out and appointed rooms with quality fitments, particularly in the bathroom. Up there as one of the best hotels rooms I have stayed in. Convenient, reasonably priced parking on site. Location is a bit to be desired if you are in the city as a tourist, however there is public transport to the city center nearby. Not be best breakfast I have had however!

Not the best location (near some busy roads in a residential area) but the hotel is very nice inside with great room facilities, great aircon and nice small pool. Pool is not like that for a beach resort of course but for a few hours is great. Breakfast very nice, staff all friendly with good English

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Very bad experience. 1. This hotel is located far away from centre. 2. Surrounding area is very low quality , like ghetto. We felt unsafe walking around. 3. Beds are very small 4. During breakfast, we noticed that the staff is not trained to serve customers. 5. The staff focused more on serving clients of tour operators. We individual families were completely ignored. We wanted to order ice cream in evening, we waited for 30 minutes. No staff came to serve us. We wish we had chosen other hotel.

Our stay was excellent – the hotel is spotless, modern, and very comfortable, with great beds and pillows. The staff were both friendly and professional, and a special thanks goes to Sonja for her kindness with our son, offering him apple juice and coloring activities.

One of the worst stays in my life. Room is great, but service is not to be appreciated at all. At Check-In there was a long line and room not ready yet after 3 PM. There was Friday, Mother assumption day and since it’s holiday I do understand there is not much open at 4 PM, but staff when I asked them what is open they were just explaining how the things are not open…they offered me Uber Eats to order while waiting for room but there was not really special place to eat it. After I got room, there was no free drink voucher offered as promised apology. Breakfast is not worth 22€, I mean eggs are main as part of my breakfast but there were no offered as a buffet but as A La Carte. Do t have issues with that, but I do have issues if there is no one to offer them for you when you are sitting down. As IHG Member also not recognized, staff members without name badges…not really pleased experience honestly

Front desk is incompetent. Carefully review your bill before checking out. It appears they like to add frivolous charges for extra revenue. The breakfast is overpriced and not filling. The location of the hotel is in a bad neighborhood with tons of rats. Im IHG Diamond ans this is by far the worse hotel Ive stayed at this year.

The spa also features an indoor pool, saunas, hammams, and a fitness room across 1000m2 of space.
I needed to get a massage so decided to stop by this lovely amazing hotel for a hot stone massage with Joelle. I came a bit early and used the indoor pool, but the weather was too hot to try out the steam room and sauna. Joelle was an amazing masseuse, as I was able to drift away and relax for one hour. A bit steep on prices but expected at a hotel spa.

A nice stay, we also had breakfast in the hotel next door including in the stay. The breakfast was good, a lot of opties and variation. The neighborhood (next to the station) is not the cleanest or nicest neighborhood but by the metro you are in the vieux port in a couple of minutes. At night it is great to relax on the balcony of the loft after a nice day in Marseille.

Guests can relax on deckchairs while admiring the panoramic vista or dine on grilled fish at Les Canailles table overlooking the bay windows.
Wasn’t a guest at the hotel but went to their bar for a meal during sunset. Stunning view and great service! The menu wasn’t too extensive but expected at a bar. Food was amazing, go for the view and get a drink. Must make a reservation to eat at the actual restaurant.

The staff is the best feature of this gorgeous hotel. They are kind, friendly, and attentive. We had excellent service from Vlada, Nicholas, Florian, Adrian, and at the front desk from Leo! Having lived in Europe for many years, the people at Les Roches Blanches are rare. I am an American and at times have experienced a lack of patience and kindness from Europeans. Not here! Thank you so much for a lovely vacation.

Above, beyond, & sea! A special place. Elegant, reviving, giving, wholesome. The setting is stunning, and the hotel luxurious whilst still maintaining that relaxed vibe. The reception is fun with stylish quirky furnishings that don’t clash—they tell stories. Both pools (heated/sea water) overlook the pretty coastline. Our room was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. It went above & beyond. Breakfast was beautifully prepared with high quality fare & a variety of delicious healthy options too. I particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon, poached eggs on demand, ginger shot, matcha oatmilk latte option (I added chia!), cheeseboard, mushrooms, & tomatoes that burst in your mouth like summer sunshine.. – & oh those pastrys! Hats off to the pastry chef who whisks artistry with sophistication. You’ve got to try the pistachio cream cronut - that was divine. The staff were polite, courteous, & on the ball. The hotel is clearly run by a GM who strives for (& achieves) perfection. For us, LRB was the best stay ever. An unforgettable blissful wellness experience that wafts with you long after you’ve gone. If I could give 6 stars..

Wow, I mean wow! This hotel is stunning and the staff are so friendly and helpful. They even have a shuttle to help wish you around. You won’t want to leave though, it’s just so fabulous! We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms and I was nervous after seeing some reviews, but the room was great, with a partial sea view and a thoughtful welcome gift. J would definitely return and recommend this gem. My only input is that if a guest shows up a little bit early, they’ll definitely want to go to the pool, so just be helpful with that option.

We stayed for 3 nights, though we could have easily stayed for a few more! The views are unbelievable and the service by the pool was great. The hotel is near great hikes which is highly recommended given the views (follow the blue trail). We ate at all the restaurants at the hotel and had a very good meal at them all! Also, concierge team is very helpful and accommodative!

We had a wonderful stay (for the 3rd time) at Les Roches Blanches. The location and views are unmatched and truly makes this hotel so special. The property is stunning and facilities are well maintained and cleaned. Majority of the staff is excellent - we had a few hiccups like slow service at breakfast, a concierge booking that wasn't made, and AC that didn't work well. With all of that said, I would return back again and again!
Emily K — Google review
This was my 3rd summer in a row staying at Les Roches Blanches. Though I immediately fell in love with the hotel the first time I stayed in it, there were some glitches in service notably at the beach club and restaurants my first 2 times staying there. However, this year the service was perfect. Well executed without being stuffy and not providing "over service" which can also be annoying. I would equate the style of service at Les Roches Blanches as understated luxury and similar to what you find at Eden Rock in Saint Barths. I can now say that Les Roches Blanches is my favorite hotel in the world and I've already reserved for next summer!

Hôtel Villa Massalia is a refined 4-star hotel located in the Borely-Bonneveine district of Marseille. It offers luxurious accommodations with amenities such as a spa, outdoor pool, and golf course. The hotel features 140 rooms with stunning views and is conveniently situated near attractions like Parc Chanot and Vieux-Port de Marseille.
Had a great stay, and we enjoyed the pool, sauna, bar and good customer service. The location was also good, being 10mins walk from a fee beaches. The breakfast doesn’t have the best range so I would not take it every day, so explored a few other good options in the area.
Wesley — Google review
This is my first night here (out of 5). So far, my room was not ready until half an hour later. The air conditioner is not working (I was given a fan) and one of the beach towels is full of sand. Clearly not changed from the last guest. The personnel seem nice but this is definitely not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel.
Kat H — Google review
My last stay at the Hotel Villa Massalia was so-so but pleasant. It’s a long way from the Vieux Port, but I enjoyed walking around the Parc Borély, which is close by. I found my room to be clean and well-equipped with all the basics. The decor is a bit dated, but the room was very adequate and comfortable. The air conditioning didn’t work well, but the windows opened wide. The Wi-Fi in the room was inconsistent at times. The breakfast options, while adequate, were not very varied, and the fitness center facilities were quite basic (it was under renovation during my stay). The breakfast area also has dinner and a small bar. They don’t have a huge selection of food, but what I tried was good. Overall, the Villa Massalia is a simple option in Marseille, especially if you’d rather visit the Parc Borély or enjoy the quiet local beaches nearby than the famous Vieux Port.
Ursula W — Google review
The worst hotel I have ever been in my life. The employees ignore you while you talk to them, they treat you badly, they promise you one thing and don't deliver. THE AIR CONDITIONING DOESN’T WORK. In the pictures it looks nice but it is the ugliest hotel in existence.
Raquel L — Google review
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, definitely not a 4 star hotel. Very poor cleanliness & customer service.
Ghazaleh S — Google review
Very rude staff. Front desk asked me why he needed to speak English since he lived in France. I had an emergency and even if I was somewhat fluent in French, chances are that he wouldn't be able to understand my accent. Very disappointing. I won't go back and would not recommend. A 4 star hotel should have people speaking other languages. If he had simply said, "I'm sorry, I don't speak English" I would have understood.
Juliana C — Google review
The room we had was dirty. When water touched the floor it turned brown (not sure if it was due to dust or dirt or both). Our TV didn’t work and the door to our bathroom wouldn’t shut all the way.

We booked 2 rooms for our 3 night stay. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were unfortunately not very clean when we checked in - the housekeeping needs to do a better job. But the location of the hotel was convenient, and the breakfast buffet was good.
Lisa T — Google review
My overall stay was pleasant, but there were a few areas that could be improved. Unfortunately, the noise from the streets between 2–4 AM was quite disruptive. Groups of people, including kids and men, were shouting outside, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the in-room amenities could be better. There was no complimentary bottled water provided in the room — instead, guests have to go down to the lobby to get a glass of water. This was inconvenient, especially late at night. The toiletries were also lacking, with only one multi-purpose bottle provided. I’d recommend bringing or buying your own. On the positive side, breakfast was very good, and the staff were active and approachable. Special mention to the bartender with the ponytail — he was excellent at engaging with guests and making them feel welcome. A big thank you as well to Pierre at reception (I forgot your first name, sorry!). You were incredibly helpful and responsive to all our questions and requests — you’re truly a gem in the Front Office team. Thank you for the hospitality!

I travel a lot and was disappointed by this Mercure. The young guy at the front desk was not welcoming, almost rude and snobbish (and am French so I know how to deal with snobbery 😆). Next the room was not great, small with carpet and we cannot open the windows . no coffee machine just instant sachets. The bathroom was small but nice. When I asked for the bar or a place to eat, I was pointed towards a brasserie just to find out that it was open from 10 to 7pm. It was 7:15pm. So nothing to drink or eat. I walked down la Canebière boulevard to get food from Monoprix.

The hotel was clean and the staff accommodated the receipt of my luggage being shipped. The breakfast buffet was very nice and had plenty of options. The area was a bit rough around the hotel and I did not go out at night as I was traveling solo. But you could get out of the area within a couple blocks.

We used train station to arrive and depart so location was important for us. The room that we got was extra comfortable, clean and calm. We also appreciate little treats the team left for us. Will definitely come back

Nice hotel conveniently located. Spacious family room. Stunning view from the room. Only issue is it’s difficult for taxi to come to the front door. It might be inconvenient especially if you have large suitcases. Ps - it would be much easier to get a taxi if you walked 5 minutes up to Noailles metro station.

Boutique hotel and conveniently located. Rooms are a little small but well equiped. Rooms are air-conditioned, with hotwater and hairdryer. Beds are comfy. Service wise, min staff, so dun expect too much. Hotel reception doors are locked for safety after hours 👍👍👍

The AC Hotel by Marriott Marseille Prado Velodrome is a stylish and modern hotel located near the renowned Velodrome football stadium in Marseille. The rooms are elegantly decorated, equipped with modern amenities, and soundproofed for a comfortable stay. Situated in the Prado-Perier district, this four-star hotel offers easy access to central Marseille and is ideal for both business travelers and leisure seekers.
Stayed here at the beginning and end of our cruise. Great location and amenities. Food was delicious. Had the shrimp dish the first night, pizza and french fries poolside on the second stay. Pool and pool area was clean and we'll maintained. Only suggestion would be a hot tub.

My wife and i have stayed at Marriotts all over the world. This has been our least favorite Marriott so far. The location is really only good if you’re into soccer and there for a game. The rooms look recently renovated, but not in a nice way. Hard spring bed that was awful to sleep on. Shower wasn’t nice or good. No where to fill up our water bottles with normal water. Just room temperature water with lemon and lime available in the lobby. The food prices were expensive and nothing on the menu was appealing to us. It was impossible to find food near the hotel before 7pm at night. Bad options for room service. The women that worked the front desk were nice and gave us great service.

Really not bad! Rooms are modern, front desk was extremely kind. Parking 22€ per night and right around the corner in a secured area outside.

Beyond ridiculous. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Stayed here with family, we had booked two rooms for two nights. We brought with us a car. When we asked Paola working at the front desk where the hotel parking was located they instructed us to park at ”P6”, which we obliged. After one night, we picked up our car and the parking attendant threatened us with trespassing and towing our car - they informed us that “P6” is not the hotel parking but an event parking. Strike #1. Turns out the front desk staff has lied to us because their private parking was supposedly full. So I went back to the front desk and asked - to which they pretended to be clueless (Strike #2) and recommended yet another parking about a mile away that was also not at all affiliated with the hotel. When we arrived at that parking, it was full. So we ended up parking in an insecure spot on the street even further because of an event at the Velodrome (that we weren’t informed of at all by staff) When demanding management’s contact information, Paola refused to provide that to us (Strike #3) only providing us a name, and to come back tomorrow morning at 10am. Unfortunately, we had to leave before then so we weren’t able to meet with management. The day after checking out, I still had not received my folio. So I reached out the front desk and they emailed me an itemized receipt. At this point I wasn’t surprised that they charged me 2 days of parking despite neither days being at the hotel parking. (Strike #4). I better get a refund, I’ve reached out to the hotel and they did not apologize at all for these mistakes.

My mother and I stayed at this hotel in August 2025, unfortunately it didn't meet the Marriot standard. Due to our stressful check in with the main reception, which included at least 10 serious issues, which could make anyone question as to why the man (who works the night shift) was still working there. The main issues, were two deposits taken, given a room with mould across the sealing of the bathroom, later changed to another room with mould. No empathy towards my mother with hurting legs, and a terrible attitude toward her, when asking for a simple clarification on parking. A number of other issues, that were generally solved pleasantly with the Manager Emma, but unfortunately, one bad egg can ruin the whole experience of a hotel.

I can’t believe this hotel is a four-star property under Marriott. If negative scores were allowed, I’d give the lowest. 1. The website shows that the hotel has parking. After struggling through Marseille’s maze-like roads, I finally arrived, only to find no visible parking lot and no idea where to leave my car. I had to park in a random corner, risking break-ins, before going to the front desk to check in. 2. The front desk was extremely inefficient. A long line formed behind me, yet there was still only one staff member. When another finally arrived, the first one left immediately. When it was my turn, I asked about parking. All I got was “P6 parking lot,” but no explanation of the actual process. 3. I eventually found P6 — an open-air parking lot, empty and insecure, with no dedicated hotel parking spaces. 4. The next morning I went to the front desk again to ask about the parking ticket. The staff disappeared into the back office and came out with a printed QR code, telling me to use it to exit the lot, then pay at the hotel front desk. The website said €20 per day, the parking lot itself displayed €22 per 24 hours, yet the hotel charged me €23. What’s worse, they insisted on charging me immediately, even though I still had another night booked — and they even tried to process my check-out on the spot. 5. At the parking lot, the QR code didn’t work at the gate. The parking lot attendant told us to exit through the entrance gate, no ticket needed. We reluctantly drove out. Later, when we came back, the attendant said there was a match and we couldn’t park there. I asked where we should park, and he said “at the hotel.” He then kindly walked us over to the hotel’s private parking entrance (note: this was the first time I realized the hotel actually does have its own parking lot, with empty spaces inside). But when I tried my room card, it didn’t work. The attendant called the hotel for us — at first they simply hung up when they heard it was about parking. After several tries, someone finally answered. The hotel’s response: “complete, no spaces,” and they didn’t care that their guest had nowhere to park. Thankfully, the attendant was sympathetic and found us a spot inside. But after that, our entire schedule was ruined. We didn’t dare drive out again, fearing we wouldn’t find parking when we returned. Because of the sports event, all lots were full, and we were stuck at the hotel unable to go anywhere. 6. I booked a King Size bed. At first glance, it did look like a big bed. But in the middle of the night I noticed the center was sinking. On closer inspection, it turned out to be two rolling twin beds pushed together. Incredibly uncomfortable. I have photos as proof. 7. Out of the 11 hotels I stayed at on this trip, this was the only one that demanded a deposit — €200. Were they worried I might steal their rolling beds?

Adequate hotel for the price and location. Room phone did not work, replacement towels had to be requested in person from the front desk, which is fine, just inconvenient. Titanium member upgrade room was an underwhelming view of the front door of the adjacent rugby stadium, great if you're a super fan. Needed an early morning conventional taxi, it took about 10 minutes to wake up/ find the staff that were supposed to be on the front desk early in the morning.

Aparthotel Adagio Marseille Timone is an unassuming apartment hotel in Marseille, France. It offers amenities like an exercise room, sauna, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The accommodation options in Marseille cater to various budgets and preferences, from family-friendly to luxurious 5-star hotels with pools and spas. While some guests found the air conditioning and kitchen facilities functional but not exceptional, many appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The staff received praise for their excellent service and hospitality.
Stayed here for 3 nights. It was very comfortable. The airconditioner works well, the room smells fresh, the bed and pillows are okay, the kitchen is a plus. The location is close to Metro station and bus stops. There are 2 supermarkets in the area. Friendly staffs too. Only one thing, the laundry service didn't work when we were there. It could be 10 points if it worked :)

Our experience at this hotel was not the best. Upon arrival, we were assigned a room with several issues: the hot water didn’t work, the heating was broken, and the stove to dry our clothes was also out of order. Additionally, the hair dryer was damaged, which made it impossible to dry our clothes after they got wet in the rain. I went to the reception to explain the situation, and they moved us to another room. However, this new room was much smaller, seemingly meant for one person, as the bed was smaller and there was no bathtub. Although the heating worked, the shower was leaking, and **the window had no curtains**, which affected our privacy. When I returned the key to the first room, I mentioned that the new room was too small for two people, and the receptionist jokingly replied that "at least we had hot water." Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. Besides the mentioned issues, it is located 45 minutes walking distance from the city center, which is not very convenient.
Euge — Google review
The room was not clean. There were signs on the furniture. The entire hotel is not clean in fact. So, we did not want to sit anywhere while all the seats were dirty. I went to the reception and asked for another room. But the person behind the reception desk said that all the rooms are the same, they are dirty; they are expecting investment to change the furniture. But this was not supposed to be my problem. I was expecting to have a clean place. But there is no clean room. I also asked for help from ALL Accor Reservation & Care. But they did not do anything. I wanted to have a clean room; if it is not possible, to have room at another hotel; if it is not possible a refund and cancellation. But any of them was not possible. The "assist" person did not help, said that he/she understood my disappointment (I don't know how this helps) but there was nothing to do; also suggested me to write my experience to customer care. One of the hotel personnel reached me out on the 3rd day in the afternoon based on my complain to the customer care. She e-mailed me that she will be available to help me the next day that I was going to leave the hotel. She did not even try to call me to reach out. Dirty hotel, dirty room, no support to fix the problems. Big regret.

The room was acceptable. The AC was working alright, the king bed was comfortable. The sofa bed on the other hand is not that comfortable. The bathroom looks nice and it had soap and shower gel available. We had to do some gymnastics to prevent the shower from getting the floor wet. The shower door is too small. The kitchen is well equipped and functional. We wanted to do laundry and the machine only takes coins. We asked for coins at the front desk and they told us to get it on our own. Considering that the machines take only coins they should at least have coins available or an exchange machine for guests. This is the only reason I'm giving service a 3 star. We ran out of toilet paper and soap on our last day. They were nice to give us another roll for free but the shower gel we were on our own. Not nice when everything is closed.

Conveniently near a Metro station (500m?), except that the staff who directed us to the Metro failed to mention that it closes at 10pm! We had to get a taxi on a very busy holiday eve from the Old Port area. A plus point was the free parking for our rental car. Room was clean but small with awkwardly placed desk that blocked access to the bed. However, the kitchen counter with sink is much welcomed. Insufficient lighting over the bed, so not possible to read in bed. No reading light.

I stayed at Adagio, opposite Timone Hospital, during my partner's hospitalization. The location was perfect for me, and the staff were good. Exceptional thanks go to Ms. Adeline, who helped me with all the bookings as I went back and forth to the apartment. Her kindness was a great help during my difficult time. She is truly a great staff member and an asset to the company.

Hôtel Le Corbusier is a unique and eclectic hotel designed by the renowned architect Le Corbusier, located within the Cite Radieuse, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in France. The 21 rooms reflect the architect's philosophy, combining aesthetics and functionality with iconic furniture by notable designers. The hotel features an acclaimed restaurant, Le Ventre de l'architecte, and a rooftop terrace offering stunning views of Marseille and the Mediterranean.
Every architecture lover will be delighted with this building. It’s a living museum with a passionate staff who works there. It is not just a hotel, it’s a history. A capsule taking you back in time.

It's denied by the owner in comments elsewhere but I can confirm there is a minimum 20€ charge at the bar. I called in for a glass of wine after visiting the Corbusier but was essentially held captive for 3 glasses. I was served two different reds, neither were that great. Highly recommend the Corbusier - but not the bar. I had previously considered staying at the hotel, but after my experience and then reading through these comments I'll give it a miss.

spent one night at this hotel. It wasn’t indicated beforehand that the bathroom is outside the room. Although it’s considered a private bathroom, there are no locks, which was inconvenient. Overall, it’s a very average stay, fine for a quick stop, but I wouldn’t recommend it for more than that.
Hala T — Google review
For those who know the history of the hotel, it’s a “bucket list” visit, and even to be able to stay here is living a dream. Getting here involves taking tram and bus or taxi across town, but once you’re here, there’s not much point leaving - the “Cité Radieuse” is designed as a self-contained environment, and feels like one. Dinner at “Le Ventre…” is a great idea - for the location and food quality, a five-star fixed menu at around 60€, is about right. It’s by no means a place to stay while visiting a destination- it *is* the destination.

We visited a Brazillia display there. It's a really neat place. The view from the roof at sunset is amazing
Matt R — Google review
The building itself is stunning, but I have to be honest, the hotel stay is not worth it. I paid 189€ for a room with a sea view. The sea is quite far from hotel so you can bearly see it + the architecture of the building is made in a way that the views from the windows are a bit blocked. My room had leather pillows that probably were never washed. The room was poorly maintained and doesn’t match the rest of the property. I initially thought that staying at the hotel was necessary to visit the building, but it turns out that the hotel is open for free visits all day. When I arrived, it was extremely hot, and I was hoping to cool off in the pool. Unfortunately, the receptionist informed me that the pool is only 'decorative' and not suitable for swimming… I was very disappointed of the experience.

Amazing place - what a privilege to be able to stay in one of Le Corbusier's finest buildings. The whole place really is stunning. I found myself just looking around and smiling at how clever the whole place is. The room itself isn't luxury but they are constrained as to what they can do as this is how Le Corbusier designed the building! It was very comfortable and the owners are fantastic.

Appart'hôtel Odalys City Marseille Centre Euromed is a modern and tastefully designed accommodation with immaculate rooms. The front desk staff, including Tata, Tania, and Sujata, are known for their broad smiles and excellent local knowledge. The manager Emmanuel and Mr. Fixit Julian also contribute to the warm hospitality. The hotel offers well-equipped rooms with kitchenettes and fridges. Guests appreciate the friendly staff who go out of their way to assist with any requests.
We had a superbe stay despite the reviews. The rooms are clean and spacious, service is good and breakfast is tasty. There is a nice and calm lounge to read or work. The pool was the cherry over the cake. There is a mall only 10 minutes away, a cinema just next to the hotel, and plainly of restaurant around. The old port isn’t far, only 20 minutes by foot. We definitively recommend this place!

They gave our room to someone else and opened our door with a key was made by reception around 17:30, luckily we were in the room. Receptionist said "sorry my bad" but she didn't know how bad this situation was I guess, how big is her mistake was. In the morning when we explained it after they asked "how was your stay" and the other reception was terrified. Not a good experience for us. Breakfast wasn't good enough for what you pay for. We had a seaside room and it was nice. After a shower bathroom was under water because how they build it, but they will charge you if you want a new towel for the floor. We paid for 3 nights 430€ that's not the service you expect even it's an Apart hotel.
Ergün S — Google review
I arrived at the hotel late at night after a long day of travel, exhausted and just wanting a smooth check-in. Instead, I was met with hostility from the receptionist who immediately demanded a €300 deposit that was never mentioned in my Booking.com confirmation. When I calmly asked where this was stated, he raised his voice and snapped, “If you don’t like it, you can leave.” I asked to speak to a manager he said “there is none.” Not once was I told about the hotel’s facilities. I had to ask where breakfast, the gym, or pool were, and all I got was a dismissive “first floor.” Once in the room, things got worse. The towels smelled dirty, like they’d already been used. The pool looked murky and neglected, nothing like the photos online. The breakfast was terrible and to top it all off, I ended up with food poisoning from a croissant. I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so upsetting I had to warn others. For the price I paid, I expected at least respect and cleanliness — I got neither. I left feeling disrespected, sick, and honestly heartbroken that I trusted this place. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our experience was very bad. We arrived after a long flight. The receptionist was treating us in a bad manner. He was eating and did not answer our questions until after a long time. When we got the room key and arrived, we were shocked that the door was open and the room was very dirty. He gave us a used room. I do not know if it was to make fun of us. When we returned to the reception, he stayed on the computer for a long time. When we asked him why he did this, he did not answer. After 10 minutes, he gave us a key to another room. We have traveled the world and this was the first time we have seen this behavior from an employee at a 4-star hotel. It was a bad experience to the point that we left the hotel immediately after we woke up.
Abd A — Google review
Spacious rooms and great amenities! Rooms are large and comfortable. Housekeeping staff is very helpful. The swimming pool, spa, and gym are great add-ons. Tram, TER station, and bus stop are just a 3-minute walk away. Malls and supermarkets are also nearby. Note: Cleaning is done once a week, and towels aren’t changed daily. For pool use, carry towels from your room or rent them at reception. Changing rooms are available near the pool and spa. The pool is heated in winter. Laundry (wash + dry) costs €6 each and is on the 1st floor — card payment only, no cash accepted. Coffee and cookies are offered only during check-in. If you get a sea view room, it’s a total bonus — nothing better than that! Overall, a very pleasant stay.
Deepsikha M — Google review
No room service: when you ask for a service, they say "We are an apart-hotel, so no service." If you don't do service, don't call yourself a 4-star hotel. If you haven't put these 4-stars in the online booking search engines, I wouldn't even find your hotel in the first place. A nearby construction doesn't allow relaxing in your room. Noise is unbearable even on the 9th floor: cheap window materials without noise-canceling features. Pool advertised on the hotel's website (sorry, apart-hotel's) wasn't available. If you don't provide a service you were paid for, do refund the client. Isn't it fair? 33 Euro for one day of parking is also crazy. Marseille isn't New York City. I only give the second star for a relatively large size of the rooms.
Andriy B — Google review
Is a good location. If everything goes well with the reservation you wont have un issue. But if you have a issue with your parking card or what your reservation include. Every person in the reception will tell you different information. The people in the front desk were kind of useless. I stay for 10 days no once they clean the garbage from my room. So good luck.
Sandra H — Google review
Avoid it❌they can’t find our booking when arriving and threatened kicking us out or charge 300€ deposit when checking in. Didn’t refund us as promised so we have to report fraud to bank. We paid the room online already and had to email the receipt again while checking in, and threatening us to pay 300€ deposit or kick us out. They promised will not really charge us it’s just a pre- authorisation. We even went to counter again double checked the refund while checking out but we still got charged. The charge still showed up on our bank a day later.

Beautiful apartment, tastefully decorated and very clean. Excellent location, right on the harbor - 3 minutes walk. Adjacent is an underground parking lot, protected, for a fee. The reception staff is very kind. The apartment has one drawback - the lack of an elevator. Other than that she is just perfect.

We had a 3-night stay at this aparthotel and it was just perfect. Everything was spotlessly clean, the service was impeccable, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. A big thank you to the amazing front desk girl team (Samra, Jeanne...) for their kindness and professionalism! The location is ideal — right in the city center while still being wonderfully quiet in the evenings.

The customer service and communication was outstanding, and having a reception there with the incredibly helpful staff was really nice. The apartments were huge, clean and well kitted out, with a full size fridge, coffee machine, full cooking facilities and plenty of seating areas. You could easily stay for weeks at a time. We sadly only had one night! The beds were comfortable, with good quality linen and pillows. The windows kept the hustle and bustle of the street outside nice and quiet considering how close this is to the port. Within easy reach of the train station, port, shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and supermarkets.

The apartment in Marseille is very close to the harbor and everything is reachable by foot. Also in case there is no parking place, there is a parking underground nearby. The apartment is according to the building very old, but inside everything is renovated and very cosy. The kids enjoyed the apartment very much. To check-in and check-out everything and all people are very nice and without any problems. I can only recommend the apartment. Its very clean, comfortable and warm. We used the room in the winter season and it was always very comfortable.

We stayed here, in room 4, in mid-August this year. It was amazing! All of the communication in advance of our stay was friendly, professional and informative. This made finding it and checking in, a breeze. The location was great - easy to get around and lots of wonderful patisseries round the corner. The apartment itself was exactly as described and was extremely clean, well-furnished and well-planned. As requested, they set up a baby cot for us and towels were provided. Throughout our stay, staff checked in to ensure that we were comfortable and to answer any queries that we had. All of the staff were wonderful - professional, warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Marseille. I myself will be returning as soon as I can. Thank you Anaelle, Samra and the rest of the team. Karen and family

Be aware that their reservation system through their email doesn’t work. I couldn’t call them cause I was abroad. And though I sent my request more than a week before the date, they took ages to respond to any messages and give me an appointment, and then wrote me the day before that I needed to call them to give my credit card info to confirm the appointment, which I didn’t see in time. I came in the next morning like planned and got rejected cause they didn’t confirm the appointment… what a waste of time. Can’t judge the massage itself since I didn’t get to that point.

Maison Juste is an innovative hotel with industrial-chic rooms featuring kitchenettes, accessible only through a smartphone app. The establishment prioritizes sustainability, community, and affordability by collaborating with local artisans and family businesses. It also ensures fair wages for its staff. With no reception or keys, everything is managed through the app, although concierges are available for recommendations and reservations. The location is convenient, just a short walk from a metro station and Vieux Port.
This is a fantastic hotel and the perfect place to stay in Marseille. The location is very close to cours Julien so it's a lively area with plenty of fantastic coffee/bar/restaurant options very close by. The service is very friendly and staff went out of their way to be helpful, including taking our luggage for us after checking out and allowing us to check in early. The rooms are modern with lots of lovely touches. The outside terrace was a huge bonus for us and sitting out there in the morning for breakfast was incredible!

Maison Juste is fabulous. We booked 11 of the 18 rooms for travellers all around the world to attend our daughters wedding in Marseille. Due to changing travel plans and schedules we made so many changes in date and room configurations, but every request was handled quickly and with no problems. The rooms are very large for France, and beautifully appointed and clean. We especillay loved having a pizza and wine night in the communal garden on our last night, making use of the record player and guitar that are in the lounge area. The maison is perfect for solo travellers, couples, families or large groups, it feels private and safe, but vibrant Marseille is just outside the door. Highly recommended, and we would not look any further for future Marseille stays. Thank you to the house manager and house keeper for making our stay so enjoyable.

If you travel with a car, this hotel is not convenient , you need check in online first , then they will give you a code to go in, there are no reception and staff to help and load your luggages, anyways it’s an air b&b instead a hotel! Secondly, was below picture problem that was our bedding, already emailed them, they just wish to see us again and will give us a better experience 😅if you were me will you go back again?

Excellent, close to metro and several good cafes/restaurants. Really helpful and responsive staff. Rooms are clean, comfortable and cute

We arrived 2 hours before our allocated check-in time of 16:00 but were able to access the maison with the given code. Unable to activate the aeroguest app but excellent communication and staff very helpful so given cards instead for room access. Room spacious with an enormous very comfortable double bed which also included sink, kettle, coffee machine, microwave and plates and cutlery. Loved the spacious bathroom and walk-in shower. Very relaxing stay which also includes access to nice enclosed garden for free tea and coffee. Convenient location with nearby tram stops and metro and only 15 minute walk to the docks and old town. Would definitely recommend.

In fact, the hotel is wonderful and the staff is really helpful. BUT there was a bed bug on my hanging dress in the room 33… unfortunately I also found the second one in the luggage a few days later … Therefore only 2 stars.

Brasserie Les Fenêtres is an elegant restaurant located in the InterContinental Marseille Hotel Dieu, just a short stroll from the Old Port. The adjoining restaurant offers a lavish setting for breakfast, with a charming terrace surrounded by beautiful gardens and a stylish indoor dining room featuring an extensive breakfast buffet. Chef Lionel Levy presents chic Provencal cuisine that combines modernity and tradition, showcasing the art of living local through seasonal menus.
For those traveling to the South of France, specifically to Marseille during the summer when the weather is quite similar to Thailand's, I highly recommend this restaurant located within the InterContinental Hotel for dinner. It's advisable to make a reservation in advance, especially if you wish to secure a table with a stunning view to enjoy the sunset. Around 8 PM is the perfect time to dine and take in the ambiance. For appetizers, I highly recommend the Pork Ravioli – it's absolutely delicious. As for the main course, the beef steak is a fantastic choice; it's flavorful and satisfying without being too heavy. Overall, it's a wonderful dining experience, especially for a warm summer evening in Marseille.
Sumol — Google review
The service and the atmosphere was really good, and with beautiful views of Marseille while dining it then it’s worth eating at the restaurant just to enjoy the scenery. We had the Grilled Cockerel, Roasted Sweetbread, and the traditional soup au Pistou so it’s a mix of local dishes from Marseille. I enjoyed the ambiance alongside the food we had. We did order a lot but we were starving when we arrived from the airport.

What a view!!! On the first floor of the Intercontinental Marseille. If walking up to the hotel from the port, there are alot of stairs. Mobility issues would be better off getting a car. Gorgeous outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade. Wine, beer and cocktail list. We had the lamb and chicken dishes. Both were delicious and fresh with well seasoned veggies. Dessert shined with profiteroles and caramel vanilla ice cream. A laid back ambiance, so don't expect a quick turnaround.

A restaurant worth visiting while in Marseille. Incredible view on the terrace. Excellent food and service. Great wine selection as well.

What a disappointment. Asked in advance if the booking was for anything special I said on the reservation request that it was for our wedding anniversary. This was acknowledged on arrival and we were then placed at a table behind the service station with no view despite us being one of the first set of diners to arrive with ample alternative tables. The service was comical with an equippe that had a group conversation every time a dish came out of the kithcen deciding which table had placed the order. We were asked for our desert choices, whch we gave. Only to be aske by another member of staff if we had made our choices and to repeat them. Considering the marketing of the establishment and prices the service was really poor. Venue not recommended.

Title: A Blend of Flavors and Service at LES FENÊTRES LES FENÊTRES offers a welcoming ambiance and commendable service, creating a positive dining atmosphere. The Gnocchi stood out as a flavorful highlight, showcasing the kitchen's expertise in crafting delicious dishes. However, the limited variety in the menu was a noticeable drawback, leaving room for improvement to cater to diverse tastes and preferences. While the Gnocchi impressed, expanding the menu could enhance the overall appeal of the restaurant. One notable area that could use refinement is the timing between courses. The extended wait between starters and the main course tested patience, detracting from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Streamlining this aspect would contribute to a more seamless and satisfying dining experience for patrons. Despite these considerations, LES FENÊTRES remains a promising dining establishment with friendly staff and culinary highlights. With attention to menu diversity and pacing, the restaurant has the potential to elevate its overall offering and become a standout destination for a memorable dining experience. Specially because they're engraved inside a 5 star 🌟 hotel 🏨.

We had an absolutely great experience dining here. This is not the main restaurant of the hotel, but the brasserie, but the quality of both the food and the service is exemplary. The menu has some very creative dishes, including novel twists on French classics. Everything we tried was delicious. Service was super friendly, and except for trying to get and then pay the check, very efficient and timely, too. The hostess deserves special mention for being extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. The location and its view are what makes the while experience extra memorable, with a gorgeous view on the Notre Dame de la Garde.

Novotel Marseille Vieux-Port is a relaxed 4-star property with picturesque port views and a convenient location in the Vieux Port - La Canebiere district. It's about 400 meters from Palais du Pharo and just a short walk from the bustling Plage des Catalans Beach and the city center.
I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel! It was the perfect location. If you go the restaurant, get the fish! You are on the coast after all. Rooms are basic. You’re paying for the location, proximity to a bar & restaurant with a great view, and wonderful service.

The hotel is located in a great zone which easy facilitate the access to the most of the city's attractions. The staff is very nice and helpfull, overall I don't remember when I found a hotel with the entire staff we interacted being so nice. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that I had to pay a deposit of 700 euros per room for the entire stay. I booked two rooms, and I found very annoyng having 1400 euros blocked. I am traveling extensively in the last 20 years and I never been charged the deposit (most likely incidentals insurance etc) that much.
Bogdan D — Google review
The hotel is really nice and the breakfast buffet is extensive. The rooms were nice and spacious however could afford a makeover. Nassima did a great job of cleaning the room and it feels clean.
Greg J — Google review
This hotel is just OK. It doesn't meet the expectations of a Novotel. I have stayed in many around the world and this was not even close to the others. I was upgraded to an "Executive Room" due to my loyalty status but overall it felt like a cheap Vegas motel to me. The room smelled, AC barely got cold, minimal old worn out everything, the hallways were in disrepair, underwhelming pool area, etc. The bathroom and shower were clean and ok. I think for the same price any other hotel around must be better. The hotel is laid out oddly. There's no way to drive up and check in as you would a normal hotel. You drive down a side alley then go down a narrow hole in the ground, stop at a metal door (which ominously opens). Then into a confined lot for micro cars (SUVs must occupy 2 spots). Then, you must unload all your bags yourself! Find the elevator, the lobby is level 2.. sure why not? Then walk to the opposite side of the property to the check-in desk. Totally bizarre. It's not that far a distance, but after a long day of driving you expect to pull up, be greeted, have someone take your bags, and show you where to check in. If that doesn't exist, branding this a 4 star hotel is fraudulent, period. I honestly can't think of how they can fix this place... I'd suggest maybe converting it into a self-storage or office space.

Wonderful hotel as usual, the food was good, the rooms were as expected, and the staff was friendly and did a great job for our whole trip in Marseille (especially Guillaume at the reception, thanks again for everything if you read this)

Good experience, great staff at the reception, but kitchen staff should regularly check food availability on the buffet, I had to asked them to bring foods such as scrambled eggs, to fill orange juice in the machine, I was a little bit disappointed with the size of the room, compare to novotel Marseille Euromed where I paid less for bigger room with door wardrobe, enough space for luggages, better view over the ferry port, overall it is good place to enjoy holiday in Marseille, Bus 83 just 2 minutes walk, it takes you to all beaches along the corniche, first beach 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

The Hôtel Mercure Marseille Centre Vieux Port is a contemporary hotel located in the heart of Marseille, offering vibrant rooms and a hip bar and restaurant. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi and an economical full breakfast buffet, making it suitable for both business professionals and leisure travelers. Its central location allows easy access to Vieux Port, Vestige Gardens, and Notre Dame de la Garde. The recently renovated interior features comfortable rooms with modern amenities such as desks and Nespresso machines.
I had a great stay at Hôtel Mercure Centre Vieux-Port in Marseille. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped—perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. The bar was a nice spot to unwind in the evening, with a good atmosphere and quality drinks. I was also really impressed by the breakfast: plenty of fresh options, delicious pastries, and a great way to start the day. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Marseille.
Monruedee O — Google review
The hotel reception was quick, impersonal and offered zero “tourist” tips, things to do etc. I even had to ask if I could take a map of the city with things to do and see from the counter as it wasn’t offered. The room is a standard, small European room. It was cool and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very usable and clean. Black out curtains provided complete darkness, but even on the eighth floor, emergency vehicle sirens were heard all night long. The lobby bar and lounge area was spacious and comfortable with many seating areas. Included breakfast was the largest, most complete breakfast spread of the hotels were have been in. Delicious and fresh and beautifully presented. The machine brewed coffee however, left us flat. The hotel is located close to the old port and only 14 minutes walk down hill from the train station, however the walk to the hotel from the train was so sketchy and uncomfortable that we decided to uber back to avoid the filthy streets, the uncountable homeless people laying on filthy mattress pads in every corner and the feeling of being sized up. The hotel is surrounded by the beauty of the architecture of the buildings that have been buried by the filth and depravity of addiction and homelessness.

The hotel itself was fine, but the receptionist at the entrance was shockingly rude. She acted like we were a burden, didn’t greet us properly, and even coughed in our faces without covering her mouth. That kind of attitude completely ruined the first impression. A place like this deserves more professional front desk staff.
Orkun T — Google review
This is the first time I've stayed at this hotel with my family, the service at reception is the worst service I've ever received. We checked out today on the 24th of August 2025, and left our luggage there to return in the evening to collect it. The two girls working in the evening were very rude and very unhelpful. We asked them to help us book a taxi, they were very rude when they told us that we can book it ourselves. My daughter called the taxi company, the taxi company doesn't speak English. We asked both receptionists several times if they could just talk to the taxi company on our behalf since we cannot understand much French. They were very rude and kept saying no, then were quite racist when they asked if I could speak English or not, and if I couldn't, then my daughter who speaks English should talk to the taxi company. We both explained to them that it isn't an issue with our English, it's the fact that the taxi company only speaks French! We had called the taxi company in front of them, so they could clearly hear and understand this very well. When I asked for their names, they both said that they 'have no names'. I asked for their manager's name and if I could speak to their manager, but they said their manager is unavailable and just gave me an envelope. Afterwards, they even had the audacity to laugh and were talking poorly about us behind our backs. We have traveled to many different countries and many different places within France, and we have never been met with a service like this. Their behaviour was utterly unacceptable. This happened in the hotel lobby on the 24/08/2025 around 8.30pm. Furthermore, the room floor was dirty, and the bathroom door was unable to shut, it scraped and was stuck on the floor. We also requested multiple times that they change the bedsheets and covers several times, and they never did it until our last day there. This hotel could barely be considered a 3-star hotel, let alone a 4-star hotel. We were in room 406. I don't recommend that anyone stays at this hotel. We will definitely not return.
E V — Google review
Good hotel in the Vieux Port. Most of the staff at this hotel are helpful. The room was a good size. My only complaint was the breakfast! everything was dry, stale and cold. The coffee even came out of the machine freezing cold. I wouldn’t pay extra for the breakfast. The hotel has a gym and bar area which I enjoyed. I would say this hotel is just ok.

Great stay for families, clean rooms and good service We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It's a great choice for families – the rooms are very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. There are several public parking lots nearby, which made it easy for us to find parking. A large shopping mall is just a five-minute walk away, so shopping and dining options were very convenient. What impressed us the most was the staff – they were friendly, welcoming, and highly professional. They went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would happily stay here again in the future.

So bad! The whole staff was outside smoking instead of welcoming their guests...not very warm for a first impression! Had to wait for 5 minutes before someone finally decided to come inside and take care of us.... Anyway the rooms were decent and the area looked Nice. Breakfast was just ok. Such a shame the staff left us with such a bad feeling because of their cigarettes.. not very friendly hotel Sadly.

Very nice hotel. Not in the center - walking distance but a pretty far walk. There is a tram stop in front of the hotel, however. The room was large and clean. The staff speaks english well for the most part and really try to be helpful. Overall, a very pleasant stay in Marseille.

Solid for a night or two. The hotel brought up some memories since we have stayed here more than ten years ago. Nothing has changed so it appears to be a bit worn down and the pod-like area in the room feels outdated these days. The hotel team has been amazing and treated us very well. Breakfast is over-priced, I would try other options at the vieux port next time. The Indigo car park in the mall is recommended. A 5-7 min walk but safer for your car.
Kris S — Google review
Just OK. Booked as it said had balconies but these were enclosed like a conservatory. Toilet in a tiny cupboard to step into. Room clean and staff pleasant but breakfast is expensive and in a crowded lobby area..
Jane B — Google review
Despite its good location and commendable service, the Novotel Euromed in Marseille falls short of its 4-star rating. The hotel is urgently in need of a refresh, with outdated facilities and an air conditioning system too weak to handle the city's summer temperatures. The breakfast offering was disappointingly basic, served in the open lobby. This hotel would be more accurately branded as an Ibis Styles.
Patrice P — Google review
Big rooms, second bed is very narrow, the double bed is comfortable, hotel is clean, breakfast is ok, the breakfast room gets cramped quickly, the lobby is quite small not very inviting, toilets dont have toilet brushes, bathroom is ok, location is nice, view is nice. Hinda is so professional and considerate in her approach and displayed so much attention to detail when explaining all our options on receiving a premium rental service. Hinda also went out of her way to include the details of petrol stations for when we returned the vehicle. This experience being a first. We were politely greeted by Paul when we returned the vehicle and received so much assistance in insuring that the vehicle met its final checks. All this being achieved at our leisure and convenience, thanks to Paul. We take this opportunity to thank Hinda and Paul, and everyone else at Sixt Marseille St Charles. You ensured that our rental experience and trip to Marseille (first ever trip) would be our best. We look forward to meeting you again and look forward to sending our family, friends and colleagues into your safe hands. Kindest regards, Mia and Leon, London UK.

Use Sixt with caution ... given a car for rental in Marseille with a huge gash in the wall of the tyre (see images). This was very dangerous as it risked a blow-out. And this was after they'd carried out an inspection! Thankfully, I noticed the problem and Sixt agreed to change the car. But this caused a lot of unnecessary delay and stress at the start of a holiday. When pressed for compensation, Sixt agreed to provide a credit towards our next rental ... of £13. Thanks, Sixt, but there will be no future rental.
Martin B — Google review
Rented a car from them in March 2025. Reservation number 9719293277. On March 24, they sent me an invoice with the final payment at the end of the lease. And they still haven't returned the rest of the deposit. In response to repeated requests (case number: 08778280), they constantly reply that the money was returned. My bank has not received the amount indicated in the invoice from SIXT. In order for my bank to be able to find the payment, I need the payment date and reference number of payment. When I asked for this data, I received a complete disregard for the question and a reply "ask your bank". All the answers I received from them boil down to the fact that "SIXT is fine, leave them alone and don't demand your money back" - There are no contact details anywhere on the site or in open sources where I can write about such a problem. You can make a lease and pay the money, but if you need to return the money you will have to work hard even just to find information where to write to them about the problem. Before you rent something from them, check how you can solve your problem with them if you have one.

Great service from Loris…. Very friendly professional and helpful! I highly recommend Sixt Rental Car. Where everyone had to wait at other, we were served on the spot every time!!

Terrible experience. Go somewhere else. They discovered a few tiny scratches on the rental upon return and it has cost us close to an $700 extra. They started threatening with sending collectors and such. I don't even know how these scratches got on there, for all I know they were there. The guy who inspected the car after turning it in said it was really minor and we should be fine. Go figure. They will never fix it but are just collecting the money for it. Enterprise is a much better option. They had a long line, Sixt had not. That explains it all.
Joke F — Google review
Terrible experience renting with Sixt. The car wasn’t ready at pickup, they refused to honor my original booking conditions, and forced me to rebook at a higher price. The “upgrade” they gave me had a flat tire, costing even more time. Staff promised to speak to a manager about a refund, but no one followed up. I lost a chunk of my rental time and had to spend my birthday arguing at the counter. Poor service, zero quality control, and no respect for customers. Still waiting their reply.

@Marseille St. Charles ,My car rental was confirmed for 7:30 AM, but the staff refused to give me the car at that time. even though they had already extral charged and confirmed. They made me wait until 10:00 AM with no good reason, ruining my plans. This was very disappointing and unprofessional Gare de Marseille St-Charles
C M — Google review
Please note, cars are held for 2 hours not just 1 hour. Makes sense because of potential delays. However we didn’t know this and when our train was late I changed our reservation which caused our rental to double. I just want to keep this from happening to someone else.

Nestled in Marseille's historic harbor, the Best Western Plus Hôtel La Joliette offers a modern and luxurious stay with rooms inspired by a grand ocean liner. The property features an indoor pool, sauna, and bar, providing guests with a distinctly Mediterranean experience. Families can enjoy spacious Deluxe Rooms while wheelchair accessible accommodations are also available.
We were most impressed with all the staff at this hotel. Everyone wore big smiles and was so eager to offer help and answers. The location can’t be beat given the price. It’s close to public transportation, and Carrefour and ethnic restaurants were on the same street out the door. You can even walk to the Old Port through Le Panier neighborhood. Everything worked in our upgraded deluxe room. We felt safe, valued, and satisfied. We are glad that we found this jewel of a hotel in Marseille as budget travelers.

Very nice city hotel which was clean and good value for money. Rooms were a little on the small size but that is the nature of these town buildings. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful which really made the hotel feel welcoming.
Zach S — Google review
Not a 4 star as claimed. Although it has it's charm. Reception very friendly and helpful. Small gym, indoor pool big enough to swim in. Great choices for breakfast (ask for omelettes, they're delicious.) Our bedroom (315) was too small but for 1 night we managed stepping over and around our luggage. Wardrobe very dark and you can't see clear enough to make coffee (inside wardrobe) Also small fridge in there but not very cold. Walk to Marina (it's a must to go there) about 20-30 mins away. Hop on/off bus close by. Would stay here again but ask for larger room. Comfiest fluffy pillows ever!

Stayed at the Best Western Hôtel La Joliette and left feeling underwhelmed. The biggest issue was the street noise — even with the windows closed, it was hard to get a peaceful night’s sleep. Parking was a big disappointment. For the same amount of time we were charged noticeably more than what we paid at the Indigo parking near the NH Collection hotel just up the street, which offered better value and convenience. Overall, the quality of the stay just didn’t measure up. Compared directly with the NH hotel across the street — where we also stayed — this hotel felt like a step down.
CRoM — Google review
How can this be a 4-star hotel? Rooms were decent but everything is very old and there was black mold around the shower/tub. The location is nice in that it is located close to a metro station but the area seemed a bit dodgy.
Louise P — Google review
I don’t get the bad comments about the staff. For us, the guy who was in charge April 7 and 8 in the evening was great, very helpful. If you want a quiet room, go for room 4 on any floor (it’s towards the back so don’t expect any great views). Yes, rooms are tiny but we knew that before. Pool and Hammam much better than expected (not many hotels at this price offer it). Again, if you have reasonable expectations, you will be positively surprised!

Open seven days a week, this tranquil retreat provides a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Marseille.
The spa is a little hidden away, but it is a gem. From the moment we entered we felt welcome. In busy Marseille this is a super cool place to relax and have some quality time. Thank you staff, we had an amazing time.

We Just had the entrance to the heated rooms without a Massage. For that it was quite expensive... The staff however was very friendly and helpful. It was a relaxing experience.

The tea was good, but was told no men until after 4 on a Saturday, which is really when most people go to spa (afternoon). Was also told that swimwear was required, which I'm really unsure about, and makes me question... I couldn't tell if they were just telling me this because I'm English. I am a young guy who enjoyed sauna and wanted to try this in a clean environment. Maybe Germany is better? Or maybe Marseille isn't the place to try for the first time as a guy. I couldn't really understand. The tea was good though... really... :/

The worst massage and SPA experience I have ever had in my life. We had a massage because of a present for our anniversairy from my wife's family. The massagists were two highschool girls that were laughing all the time. They had no credentials, and knew nothing about what they were doing. One was sick and her nose was dripping over my wife's back. The palce was dirty ... beds broken ... they have put litters of oil over us ... I would have payed for not going there ...

Nestled just a few steps away from the charming Cassis port, Best Western Hôtel La Rade offers spacious rooms with the option of extra beds for families. The hotel boasts an outdoor pool where kids can have fun while parents relax on the sunny terrace. With a marine-themed decor featuring shells and brass portholes, the bar and lobby transport guests into a nautical world.
We had the perfect stay at hotel La Rade. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. Parking in Cassis is an absolute asset. The rooms are not large but feel spacious. We would definitely return to this place. The location is great as well as the pool.

Good location, room was ok but well worn and small. Service disappointing, having arrived by taxi we asked for a return taxi. Instead the hotel booked a car which wasn’t a taxi and charged 2.5 times the price. Bad end to the stay

Good location as the hotel is within walking distance to the centre of town, The swimming pool, although we didn´t use it looked comfortable with a nice view. Room a little small for 2 tall people, but it was very clean and functional.
Edouard F — Google review
Very nice breakfast - one of the best of our trip - overlooking the pool and Mediterranean. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location between the town and Plage du Bestouan. Reasonably priced. Parking available for a little extra. Pool was very nice - a bit on the cooler side. No real bar or restaurant but close to many. Room size was okay - with a little balcony. The current average google maps rating for this hotel is 4.1. I don’t know anything about the history of this hotel but, if you take a look, you’ll see that most of the lower ratings are from years ago. This hotel was very nice. The ‘current’ rating should be much higher than 4.1. Easily 4.5+ in my opinion. Great town - we loved it.
Robert — Google review
Can’t say enough good things about this hotel! Above all, it’s the absolute perfect location for Cassis - in 15 years of trips to the town, this is the best location by far. It’s the best of all worlds - walkable, yet accessible by car; 5 min walk to the port in one direction and 5 min walk to Plage Bestouan / cafes near it / start of Calanques hike. It has the benefits of a major hotel chain while also feeling small and local. The main lobby view is heart-stopping; they open the entire wall to the fresh air and incredible view. The pool is one of the best hotel pools ever - ESPECIALLY for being 5 minutes from the center of a town in Europe - this amount of space is unheard of. The staff were incredible - helpful and so friendly. Professional but not pretentious. The breakfast was lovely. I stayed in the most basic room and it was perfectly adequate- good layout, nice air conditioning, good WiFi. I hope to have the chance to stay here many more times in my life!

Extremely pleased with this hotel. It was a big surprise for us. The location is amazing. The heated pool is incredible. It’s large and immaculate. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean. Good size bathrooms. We were given an early check in when we arrived with our 2 babies. Downsides: small-ish bedrooms. The bedding is synthetic. Pillows aren’t great. Views on parking lot. Small balcony (can barely accommodate 2 chairs). Would still def def recommend!
Cécile — Google review
The hotel is overall very nice: not loud, but close to the main town center. The pool is beautiful, breakfast has a wide array of options. Nice views from the pool and the breakfast area/lobby. Plenty of parking. Good blackout shades. Downsides: the rooms are quite small, and the beds are a bit hard, as are the pillows. No drawers to unpack. The rooms look out onto the road, not the sea, though you can't really hear the cars at night. The air conditioning worked but was not very strong.

Hôtel Le Ryad is a Moroccan-style boutique hotel located in the 1st district of Marseille, just a short walk from the Saint Charles railway station. The hotel's decor reflects its namesake, with subtle Moroccan influences such as brass lamps, rich red divan cushions, and splashes of azure inspired by the Majorelle Garden. The courtyard garden provides a tranquil setting for enjoying breakfast and afternoon tea.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Ryad - it could not have been nicer. The location is ideal for really enjoying Marseille and all the city has to offer. Our room was on the fourth floor - quite a climb but worth it. The hotel is small, centrally located, and allows you to get a good flavour of the city - not just as a tourist. The staff are very helpful and above all, the breakfast is a highlight not to be missed!

We loved staying at Le Ryad! It was a perfect landing pad for our five days in Marseille. The room was comfortable, air conditioned and clean and spacious. Omar was very kind to stay up for our late arrival and make sure we got in okay. He even helped take our luggage up stairs. The area is very central and close to public transit and the train station. We had the room all the way up stairs. I would advise you to be aware of the stairs situation because they are very intense and not for everyone, so you might choose a room on a lower floor. Thanks again for a great stay!
Nicole R — Google review
We really enjoyed our stay here! It's in such a cool corner of Marseille, with the bike shop around the corner and great restaurants right up the street. It's true it was a hike up to the fourth floor, but a worthwhile trade-off, especially with the sweet little balcony off the room. Still, if you're disabled, make you book the accessible room downstairs. The staff were lovely, too!
Sam S — Google review
The hotel is definitely no boutique hotel. It’s quite a run down place that could need an update. We got the standard bedroom and were disappointed when the actual room didn’t look at all like any of the pictures. No balcony just a window right out to the street (that smells like urine & trash cans). We asked for a different room but the hotel was fully booked and the staff quite rude about it. We chose not to eat breakfast there.

Lovely unit that was neat and overall clean. The shower was discolored and needed a deep cleaning. The toliet sounded as if it was runming for long periods of time. We stayed on the 4th floor which was difficult to climb up and down with luggage. The wifi was spotty and would go in and out throughout the day. Attempts to reach property manager during stay went unanswered.
Akaiya T — Google review
The place was nice, service (while visibly absent) was good, place was clean and location was close to train and attractions. Out back was a lovely terrace. Hotel looks to be Spanish style. I will say the WiFi requiring a password every 5 minutes was extremely annoying. While I cannot complain much about the hotel, the location was in a less than desirable street. Streets are heavily graffiti'd, sex trade workers line the streets and garbage is everywhere and the odd dead rat. While it looks like there is attempts to clean up the area, check before you go. As far as the hotel goes, it was good value. Ps. Bring toiket paper.

(Translated by Google) not easy to find. But quite a surprise very clean place spacious bathroom nickel Italian shower, the bed super very happy overall just a small downside no fitted sheet in the sofa bed but nothing too bad (Original) pas facile a trouver. Mais bien surprise endroit tres propre spacieux salle de bain douche italienne nickel , le lit super tres contente dans l ensemble juste un petit bémol pas de drap housse dans le canapé lit mais rien de bien méchant
