I wouldn’t call it a bouillabaisse. It is better than any fish soup I had at this price, yes ! They do a different protein everyday, and I had calamari sashimi style. Owner was super friendly and chatty, speaks fluent English, and we had a nice little exchange while waiting for my food. Takeaway only, though there’s a nice wine bar just behind which allows you to bring your own food, and best it has the biggest selection of wines for tasting !

First time trying this. Really really good. The fish of the day was tuna on the day I tried it. Smooth and fresh. The soup base and stew came together really nicely. Left me wanting more after I finished it

Not worth the effort. I had a modern interpretation of a Bouillabaisse at a nearby restaurant the night before and noticed a small queue outside TURFU, so was curious about it. I got back to Marseille quite late (just before 8pm) and it was still open and there were a few portions remaining, so I bought 1 for €15. They gave a bowl with the fish (which was cold, maybe I was late) and a bowl of warm broth. There was a whole fish (which I did not mind, I think it added to the authenticity), one tiny piece of octopus, potatoes with some blue stuff on it and some big croutons. Poured the broth over it and tucked in. It was BLAND. The fish was edible, but it was too cold to be warmed up, it also was not prepared properly, quite a bit was bitter. What was worse was the blue stuff around the potato made the broth an off-putting blue colour. It wasn't a big deal as the broth was very bland as well. I usually finish the food I am given, but not on this occasion. I can't understand the high rating, maybe people are buying the romance of the idea, or I was just unlucky? But my portion looked the same as those in other photos.

My experience was rather poor. The flavour of broth wasn’t bad but mixed with very dry bread, plain potatoes and almost non existent fish with some bones and remnants. Yes, it’s a cheap version. Go get a good one for higher price. But still some things can be done well even for 15€. I was pretty disappointed.

This was recommended by a local friend, and it's amazing!! The seafood taste was very flavorful and not overpowering. And it's reasonably priced!! Would definitely get it again! (Forgot to take a picture after I pour in the soup!)

very good soup indeed, quick service, I would give it 5 stars if the soup was more hot! As the protein in the bowl is cold, when the hot soup pour inside, it's low down the temperature too much, but it's still very tasty! Ingredients are fresh and no fishy taste at all ( personally I am very sensitive for the fishy taste) I bought the soup and sit at the park nearby to take the soup. I am tourist and no expert for bouillabaisse, but surely it is a very nice fish soup, much better than another one I taste in restaurant during my stay in Marseille

Don’t get fool from smell inside. Take it and eat in the park. It’s delicious. One of the best fish soup i’ve ever had. ( I have no idea what is bouillabaisse but it’s ok for me )

Great patisserie selling local Marseille traditional sweets. Had a very nice and helpful interaction with the shopkeeper who patiently explained different products. Brought back the pastries home in a long journey and they survive the trip fine. Highly recommended!

I recommend this place — the cookies were fresh, tasty, and full of flavor. Lady at the counter was friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that you can pay with a credit card from 15€.

I only took the traditional navettes and can't complain: the staff haa also been generous when rounding the weight/price. Prices are what they are in Marseille, especially for such a simple biscuit sold only for tradition, but at least you can buy 100g (7 biscuits) just to taste. The biscuit was sugary and crunchy as expected.

Nice shop selling Navettes and Macarons. The Macarons were beautiful. The Coconut and Marzipan flavours work so well.

We tried the Navettes in other place but they weren't as good Les Navettes des Accoules. Other cookies were very good too.

Super delicious. The panisse which I never had before was delicious and so were the sardines with the Lao sauce. I went back 3 days in a row!!! Especially since finding a chef that understands gluten free requirements for celiac and can make the food still mind-blowing is rare! Thank you! Will be back!

We tried panisse for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious! The dish was perfectly prepared, and the warm, friendly service from the owner and staff made the experience even more memorable. It's definitely worth a visit :)

What a great find. Superb, freshly cooked food to order. Chef came out a couple of times with his scissors to cut fresh herbs for his creations. Excellent price and everyone served in turn. Highly recommended.

DONT GO. Not worthed the hype of 4 stars. Wine of a carton box in the fridge for 6'5€ 1/4l . I felt ripped off also the food was too salty to my taste. Dirty in general. I dont think this is traditional cuisine

The food and owner are amazing. So kind and welcoming. We got the fries and zucchini salad and were blown away by the quality and service.

Great place to buy Pastis. The pastis are really good but make sure that the bottles are well sealed, as one of the bottles spilled over my clothes in the suitcase.

Well, didn't have the chance to try pastis, but the shop itself is amazing! The owner is so good to talk to, with the stories about his shop, and the alcohol itself was interesting to hear. And the smell in there was something!

We got the recommendation to go into the store and it was a great experience. The Owner is a nice Lady who knows all the details and differences about, not only her own, products. If you want to get a real good Pastis this is the place to go. There are plenty of options that you can find something for a very reasonable price. Thanks for the experience and I will be back buying some new Pastis when I'm in Marseille.

A Pastis Lover's Paradise. Great small shop offering the largest selection of pastis's collected in one store. We stopped in after a long flight from the States and picked up three bottles, the best was one of their own brews in the tank behind the counter. Sadly we drank the bottle during our trip and wish we had bought more. I think there were 54 herbs infused in that bit of golden sunshine. A few reviews say the woman behind the counter was rude or unfriendly. We found her to be extremely friendly and helpful. This is a must stop at spot for anyone wanting real pastis!

The home of pastis in the city. The lady was very friendly and convinced us of buying their 56 plants blend by saying it was "sunlight in a bottle". There are plenty of different brands of pastis, as well as typical biscuits, sauces and jams to pair with.

Reservation was made through The Fork. Bouillabaisse did not need to be reserved. My friend and I both ordered bouillabaisse. The soup and the fish were served separately. The waiter explained (in French) how to enjoy it. The soup can be refilled as many times as you like. We only refilled once cause we were full. After meal, they served macaroons as dessert.

Since it’s said that bouillabaisse is a must-try in Marseille, we decided to visit this restaurant. The fish was fresh, and the service was refined, though the prices were quite high. The mackerel dish we ordered as a starter was so delicious that I’m now more curious about their other menu items than the bouillabaisse itself. While it seems walk-ins might be possible on rare occasions, I’d recommend making a reservation.

Came in for some dinner, didn’t have a reservation, got sat upstairs away from the window with a view, had multiple servers who were very quick and three spoke broken English. Had the Bouillabaisse and it’s noted on the menu the dish is for one person $65, it’s huge enough to share for 2 people. They show you the fish beforehand, the sauces are very garlicky. Only bottled water, tap wasn’t offered. It was just okay in my opinion… I feel like the atmosphere is what you come there for but not having the view, and the dish being mediocre, I probably wouldn’t recommend.

THIS is the place to have real traditional bouillabaisse! They give you croutons with the spicy garlic aioli and red aioli to spread on them and let them sit on top of the soup. Then you cut the beautifully cooked fish and created your soup sandwich. They keep refilling your bowl with more bouillabaisse broth. The saffron in the soup adds a beautiful perfume to all the bites you have. This is a MUST in Marseille and we will be back! We also thank Hermes store Celine and Johann for making the reservation for us there.

Some of these reviews are quite unfair based on my experience here yesterday! Staff were fantastic, very attentive and friendly. They spoke great english contrary to some of the reviews I've read. Beautiful location where you can see the local fisherman boats and as far as If (if seated facing that way of course). First time having bouillabaisse and it was very flavoursome and the fish were fresh and high quality with large portions. Admittedly this was my first time tasting this dish, but this is surely a wonderful place to experience it and priced fairly. Profiterole dessert was also great (would suggest sharing this). All in all a great experience!

Sit by a quiet little harbor, Fonfon serves the most authentic bouillabaisse I’ve had. The broth is rich and endlessly refilled, the fish incredibly fresh, young staff werw all warm and attentive, would like ri answer your all questions. The individual souo portion came with bread and plate contained 5 types of fish, made me so full after an entry dish, well, not finished, there were another dessert I ordered came for ending... The stunning view out from window made this dinner warm and fabulous,in the late summer of France, what an unforgettable experience during my weekend visit in Marseille. You have to try it.

We LIKED it, but didn’t LOVE it. Sadly. They are a Michelin 3* (and they make sure you know it), but they just try too hard. They vomit artistic expression all over the table, and it was hard to tie everything together. Also, for English speakers, their English isn’t great (way better than our French!!) and they don’t give you a menu before, so you’re left guessing a bit. They do introduce plates, but it was hard to understand. Last, be careful of the pricing on the caviar and lobster upgrades. Both are REALLY expensive. Both being $120-130+ (each!!). The blue lobster was great, but I was surprised when the bill arrived. They didn’t give prices on the menu, which I found odd. This place has the artistic muscles to be great, but they try too hard. I’ll take Bocuse a hundred times over (by simple comparison)! For $700-1,000 person, it fell short.

The best French restaurant from my standpoint. The chef mixes its African origins with the Southern France ingredients in a very unique way. The dishes are very original and tasty. The personnel is very nice and professional. The location is probably too small, but modern and smart.

Not a 3-Michelin Star experience… unfortunately my dinner at AM didn’t cater to my expectations, and when you are paying 600€+(pp) for a dinner you are entitled to have high expectations. -Food and flavors where unexciting -Service was rushed and had we felt no connections to any of the stories or the service team -Mistakes happen, but at this level they should happen less, and during our dinner we noticed plenty of mistakes -Prices are EXTREMELY high Overall this was a very disappointing experience, but more than anything I am disappointed with the Michelin Guide since if this is their new criteria of 3 Stars then there is a very clear unbalance and inconsistency with their criteria because I have been to plenty other restaurants with one or two stars that are way better than my dijner here. A pitty.

We came here for a celebration and had reserved the chef's table where all the action of food preparation was unfolding before our eyes. What a spectacular dinner, our gustatory papillae where celebration a voyage of different tastes, departing from France to Africa to the far east and back! The servings were exquisite as the hand made dishware. So much attention to detail, the professional, extremely friendly staff guiding us through the voyage was a outstanding. Bravo for Alexandre and the entire team!

My favorite restaurant in Marseille. The service here is exceptionally kind, making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. The food is served “omakase” style (at a very fair price), ensuring you’re getting their very best in terms of local ingredients and preparation that brings out those amazing Provençal flavors. Reserve ahead as it’s understandably popular!

Could have been a great experience, what a pity! We were seated in the corner table close to the toilet. People kept on leaving the toilet door open and the smell was very distracting. I asked to be seated somewhere else but wasn‘t possible. Also didn‘t feel like I was taken seriously. To be honest, the table was a disgrace and people shouldn‘t be seated there in such a nice restaurant. Food was good. The pâtisserie chef was lovely and extemely kind. She made an effort to make her dishes vegan and explained it all to us. The dessert was the highlight for us.

yesterday we had dinner at La Mercerie to use the American Express dining credit abroad. at first staff told us it was “reservation only” but then they let us sit down as long as we agreed to a surprise five course menu. we ordered the house wine to go with it. both, the menu and the wine, were very delicious. the staff was very attentive and friendly. in total, we paid €165 (€65 per menu) for two people.

This place is absolutely amazing. Super cool and friendly staff, really top notch food and great wine list. No-choice 5 course menu. All up cost with aperitifs, bottle of wine, cheese and 2 glasses rouge was ~€200 which is very good value for quality of food. Highly recommended !!!! Also open Sunday which is quite rare.

This is a place that never misses the target. We have been going here for a few years now and the level always remains high. It is well worthy of its reputation and is now becoming a Marseille institution. The flavors, technique, composition and presentation are always on point. Definitely do the dinner wine half pairings. Each glass brought out will add depth and dimension to the plates. It feels a bit more natural to describe what happens here in terms of skilled songwriting or musicianship. There are some musicians out there that just cannot write a bad song. Each note they play fits. This is what is happening here.

The five course tasting dinner paired with wine was exceptional. The staff was terrific. Friendly and energetic. The patio area was a disappointment because of all the scooter and motorcycle traffic that was nonstop between 7 and 9. Then there were the smokers. A definite negative in my opinion. If you aren't a smoker, reserve an indoor table.

Beautiful place to watch the sunset, but the inside of the restaurant is too hot. Food was made with a lot of care, and all fresh and innovative. The front of the house is heavily understaffed. Trying to manage the outside terrace and inside of the restaurant can be a bit too much. Especially when waiting for food. Try to book in advance and outside sitting.

We booked sepia as we found a lot of positives reviews online and by looking at Google reviews we've seen there were plenty of meat or vegetarian options in the menu because I don't eat fish but my husband does and so I didn't want to deny him of an amazing fish experience which he did have at Sepia. However this time there was only one meat option in the menu, so not much choice for me and we've asked the waiter for vegetarian options but there was only one and he didn't even try to understand any of my needs which seemed a bit uncaring. Regardless the food was still good, but the service is very slow.

This is good food, not boring, and they are having fun. Perfect sunset. If you decide to walk, pay attention to elevation. This is a cool place.

Mixed opinions about this place because it has the potential to be great. The starters were honestly tasteless, really lacking in any flavour despite them being nicely presented. The mains were very good, both the tuna and monkfish were cooked perfectly and were quite filling. Dessert was also good but nothing over the top. Cocktails were very good. Overall, very very overpriced for what it is. Service started off great, the staff are very friendly but after our main course we were forgotten about for quite some time before trying hard to get a servers attention for the dessert menu, everything came with a delay from then onwards including the check, I guess because they were near closing time but for a total of 140 euros for the meal, not great.

This place was 100% awful. After being highly recommended, putting down a deposit for 11 people, having a conversation with the restaurant months in advance that individuals attending the dinner did not consume fish and being reassured that there would be plenty of options; we show up to no non-fish options. When we decided to have drinks there while figuring out where we could go the chef was a complete jerk and told us that it was a restaurant, not a bar and took our drinks away while telling us we had to leave. This was supposed to be my birthday dinner. I just want to say, thanks so much for ruining what should have been a special day. You run a poor operation. Do not recommend.

Everyone eating here was American or English - for good reason as this is an overpriced tourist trap of a place. We had the fixed menu dinner. The food tastes like simple food that you could cook at home and the service was also very slow. No locals eat here for good reason. I had the crab starter but it didn’t taste of crab and just tasted of the curry sauce which was very overpowering. I had white fish for main which was fine but really nothing special. The chocolate tart dessert was the worst course- so liquidy- it was basically just melted chocolate poured into a chocolate casing with a horrible lemon sauce that did not go with the dish at all and tasted medicinal. Very disappointing and overpriced meal. Go somewhere more local and casual and you will get much better food and service in Marseilles!

Went with a tour group for a birthday celebration. Our guide called several times to make sure that we had non-fish options.3 out of 11 did not eat fish. She was told there be several options that were non-fish even a vegetarian option. Veal option cooked anchovy sauce. vegetarian option would be what was on the menu minus the fish. We still wanted to give them business since we made a reservation, but was told it was not a bar when we were not welcome to just have drinks. Our waitress was very kind and was trying to be accommodating, but the manager came out was very rude and told us to leave We then had to pay for the water and we’re told that we would get the $600 deposit back sometime. Don’t recommend if you don’t like fish!

The best Salmon pizza I have ever had !!!!! Outstanding. Thin crust and almost melts in your mouth ! Prompt and quick service. Worth the price and more !! A MUST VISIT AND MUST TRY !!

Highly recommended to have your lunch here. L’Epuisette is a restaurant right next to Mediterranean Sea. You can see Château d'If by the window seats. The service was nice. We are from Taiwan and waitress said “你好” to us with smile. And the most remarkable was their Aspic of Bouillabaisse which was a aspic reach of the flavor of Bouillabaisse. The second remarkable was “Red mullet, cooked and raw Tomato water and Kimchi butter.” We are from Asia and familiar with Kimchi. I must say this was the best Kimchi dish. The flavor was balanced and really tasty. It was out of the way how Asian use Kimchi in dishes. Really surprised. And the red mullet was cooked perfectly. Finally, the petit four cart was cute. You can choose anything you wanted. Reasonable price, high quality cooking, beautiful sea view.

On a summer sunny day, L’Epuisette was the ideal venue for a lunch by the seaside. Came for the views of the seawater pool through the floor to ceiling windows, left in love for the bouillabaisse menu. Served in 3 difference dish, as a mousse, a soup with croutons and as 5-fish filets in sauce, this iconic and flavorful seafood dish is a must for everyone visiting Marseille. I found myself thinking how this restaurant or then-kiosk by the sea would have been decades and decades ago… times go by, cuisine evolve, only the sea remains the same.

The ambiance here is amazing. A beautiful view of the ocean and little islands. The service was 10/10 and the presentation of the food 10/10. The drink selection 10/10. However, compared to other seafood Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to I’d give the seafood 8.5/10. I thought the restaurant could have had a better fish selection, sauces, and taste. However, the desserts and cheese were 9.5/10 and had a great selection. But I’m no chef. Overall when you consider the amazing ambiance and service. It is well worth coming here for a visit. I really enjoyed my time here, service, and the food.

The food is good, but for the price we paid and to be a Michelin star restaurant, I think it could be better. We ate a 7 course meal. We ordered the Bouillabaisse (local dish). I don't mind small portion, which is expected in this kind of place, but the flavours could have been better. Three of our seven meals course tasted like the fish supplement I feed my turtle with. I understand the original bouillabaisse is a fish based soup, but they shouldn't repeat the after taste of their meal with that canned fish flavor. The restaurant has an interesting location almost in the water. It really is a seafood restaurant - the Michelin Guide marked it as offering vegetarian options but this cannot be recommended, they simply leave out the fish, often without adjusting the quantity of the rest. I had a regular tasting menu with fish and enjoyed a few clever surprises such as the cocoa seafood foam and the shrimp with its exquisite texture but I cannot say that overall I was wowed - this week I've eaten at several restaurants "only" featuring a Big Gourmand in the Michelin guide that honestly seemed worthier of a star. If you come here during the dark season, lunch probably is best as you then can enjoy what must be a spectacular view of the sea.

We decided to book a table for our 5th anniversary and we were not disappointed. The setting is mind blowing. If you’re going to book a table make sure to check what time is sunset and try to get one by the window. Service was excellent. We chose the 7 course menu, it was a delight, especially the octopus one. Dishes are not extremely surprising but each element of the dish is sophisticated at its maximum and it can be enjoyed individually. The wine menu is extensive. We chose a local 100 eur wine and it was great. Fruity and very pleasant. Prices are very reasonable, around 200 per person.

DON'T COME HERE IF YOU'RE ALONE! For some reason they don't see you as a valued customer if you're just one?!? I selected the Cesar which was the top menu ($$$$). I requested advice from the sommelier and had a great recommendation for a glass. I guess buying a glass in this restaurant is not acceptable. I continued to beg for wine, finally gave up. If you want wine service, buy a bottle, maybe he'll pay attention to you 🙄. I was by myself so a bottle is not an option when you want to try a variety of things. They do a HORRIBLE job of telling you where you are in the menu you selected. I heard others asking "how many dishes left?" and "are we done?" You feel a bit lost when you don't understand where you are in your meal. Should I be drinking white or red, etc. The food was good but not amazing and given I was the ignored guest of the night I would not recommend going here as it's very pricey to beg for wine and spend three (3) hours for one person talking to yourself... When I went to leave, even though I asked, it took forever to get the check. Then the Manager argued with me about my experience. He compared me to people arrond me that had a companion sitting with them, talking to eachother. FYI: my experience is just that, my experience. I don't want to stand in the door arguing with you about what you think my experience should have been after spending €220.00. I came alone because my husband doesn't like seafood and I wanted a nice dinner with nice wine. I ended up with a long, lonely experience, with good food, limited wine, being confronted and told I should have enjoyed my loneliness longer. Not a way to end the night... I was completely deflated and just wanted to leave.

Had an amusing and tasty lunch at this very original seafood restaurant. The decor is definitely off beat as is the service. But it is full of charm and humour. More pertinently the oysters were pure ocean deliciousness and the langoustine ravioli outstanding. The wine by the glass is correct. So is the price. Worth a visit but come with a tolerant attitude.

The best parts of the meal were the oysters and fresh anchovies. While the rest of the menu was only so-so, the simple vibe and decor were fantastic. The place truly delivers on a great experience.

As for the food, it was very tasty with fresh ingredients as we also ate raw shellfish without getting sick. The owner was hospitable and smiling, willing to explain the menu to us! The only negative is in the dessert as there was almost no variety. Someone should try these flavors on their visit to Marseille, although of course they are not anything special. I highly recommend it.!

This restaurant is not just for food but for an experience. The owner is very helpful and walks you through everything on the menu depending on the freshly caught fish. The atmosphere is immaculate and everything is done in this fisherman, sea style. I really enjoyed the design. The food was fresh and really tasty. Everything was fresh. The only issues was one meal with small seashells, it was very tasty but after eating it, you would have like a sand stuck in your teeth which wasn’t very pleasant. Other than that, a great restaurant experience, tasty food and pleasant prices.

Most of the menu is very similar dishes. Almost everything comes with Eggs and Tuna. Seating in the street is not the greatest. On the positive side it's a very affordable place

Nestled in one of the strees of Marseille, this place offers amazing Tunisian food. I ordered the Lablabi with egg and Tunisian tuna and the homemade lemonade. The food was amazing and filling. The lemonade was good but I think the seeds got mixed in as well since it was a bit bitter. Other wise good food and food service.

What a hype. Unfortunately, I didn‘t get it. Super busy, long lines, hence long wait times (we waited about 1h until our food came) but the food then not really worth it for me. Looks great but everything tasted a bit bland.

Just wow. This place is a must for all foodies in Marseille. The staff were so attentive and got our somewhat complex order bang on. 0 mistakes. Not even a missing sausage. The house lemonade hits with a citrusy punch - you could be actually eating a lemon 🍋. It was €18 per head with drinks and we ate like monarchs in a hot year in a nutrient rich land.

First time to this little restaurant. It's always crowded and I understand why. The portion sizes were very generous and fresh. Great value for the money. We both enjoyed our food. My friend liked the bricks but she said the eggs were a little too runny. Overall very pleased and will return!

After sitting down and not being noticed by anyone for about 10 minutes we went to the counter and asked if this was self service. The waitress told us that she will be right with us and we should sit down. After another 10 minutes without anyone taking our order while the waitress served 2 tables that came in after us we left.

I was excited to go to this place because I heard a lot about it. The location is nice, well decorated, the atmosphere is nice too, you can chill there, you can work there, it is pretty cool. The food according to me, it is a little bit pricy. 2,5€ for one falafel (come on!). But the food is tasty and I really liked it ! All the food I ordered was very good. My only concern were the price and the portion served. The staff is correct.

Beautiful experience at Carlotta With. The service was excellent. Our server, André, was so lovely and helped us order delicious meals since we hardly know much French. We had the Cinnamon roll which was so fluffy and the perfect level of sweetness. The star of the show was the Roasted Cauliflower which was so tender and had a perfect crunch on top with cheese and pomegranate. Yum! So delicious. The coffee was amazing as well. Wish we could eat breakfast here every day.

Great café with some of the best homemade pastries I've had in a very long time. Coffee was top tier, this place is a real gem in the area. Sun soaked terrace in the morning and plenty of space inside. The service was equally as fantastic. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Lovely vibe. Enjoyed a cappuccino and pompe on the patio after visiting the Basilica of Notre-Dame of la Garde. The Pompe Carlotta had a great citrus taste and nice freshness, highly recommend. Some cute gifty things and nice interior as well. I visited around 11am.

This pizza is great!! Very friendly and quick service. There is no better value in the area. A rating of 4 is simply too low!

Good food served fast. Quite a wide selection of pizza to choose from, and they are open fairly late the whole week so great for if you want a pizza to takeaway or just a slice for then. Tried 6 of the options, all were delicious.

Amazing concept, where you can pick and mix your pizza slices. Lots of vegetarian options available which we loved! Really fresh and tasty! Really affordable too for such a large size. Comes with chilli oil which is super spicy🌶️ ! Absolutely loved it! Will be thinking of it when I’m back home.

An absolutely brilliant slice of pizza. I was a little surprised as to how good the taste was. Quite a few options to choose from, so you’ll definitely find something that piques your interest. Nice spot to stop for a drink. Located on a terrace in a cute square. Good atmosphere in the evening. Waiters were attentive and prompt. Drinks were good and cheap(€6 for an aperol). Would recommend to anyone looking for a spot to stop with friends for a drink.

A small restaurant on a quiet street. I have ordered a set menu, food was well presented. Very happy with the starter and the dessert, they were delicious. The main, beef brisket, was not tender enough unfortunately, it was a little disappointing. It was overall a lovely meal.

The presentation is very nice and the service is super good. However I still hope the food can be better. The shrimp we ordered was not that fresh and octopus was too hard.

A true masterpiece! Each serving was a different experience on its own! Flavours are extremely well balanced and designed to amaze your senses! Prices are great for a restaurant in such a category. But don't let that fool you and be sure to seek it out. You won't be disappointed. Out of the three dinners we experienced in Marseille, this was by far the best in terms of the tastiness of the food, the quality of the food & the value for money. There were two levels for dining indoors - the tables/chairs were small & intimate. We had to climb narrow stairs to get to the second level, which was where we were seated, with somewhat low ceilings. It was a bit hot on this level. Weather permitting, I would recommend booking a table on the outside terrace off the second level. It was very charming & air circulation seemed better - just watch out for mosquitoes. Now to the food. Somewhat surprising, the place didn't serve any chicken :-) Apparently, they had pivoted from chicken to concentrate on seafood centric dishes. There were four of us in the party & we decided to order a variety of dishes to share. All the creations were delicious. Some of the outstanding dishes were the prawns, fish & the "fried egg" ... the only semi-miss for us was the "dessert egg" which didn't come together as we expected. We rounded off everything with delicious cocktails & espresso. I'd definitely come back to see what new dishes they have to offer. Highly recommended.

One of the BEST meals we have had in all of France! The chef graciously made the Tataki de Thon without fish for me which created a delicious vegetarian option. Every bite was a delight! My husband had the pasta with prawns which was also amazing. The service was the best and our waiter was friendly and accommodating. We also liked that the location was very close to the restaurant center, but not where the smell of methane overpowers the area. We never smelled methane here even though we sat outdoors. Overall, we loved the food, service, and location. Don’t miss this slightly hidden gem!

We came here for the bouillabaisse and at €41 per person, I felt this was a good deal for a traditionally presented dish that included four types of fish, some king prawns and mussels. It doesn't look like the quality you might get by paying €80+ for this type of dish, but also as essentially it being a fish soup, I don't think there is the justification of spending so much either - unless you must have the experience. I suspect this restaurant does make their own bouillabaisse in batches and that this is kept ready for customers as needed, this is a usual practice for a restaurant that serves several other dishes and it's not a criticism. The soup was as expected with some depth and the poached fish (John Dory, Monkfish, etc) was not overcook but firm. If you want to try this dish, but don't want to pay over €80 per person, then this is an acceptable solution. The waitress was excellent; friendly with just the right amount of attentiveness. As with all other photos I've seen of this soup, they never do the taste justice!

We chose this restaurant to try bouillabaisse. Well, it was probably decent, but I have nothing to compare it to since it was my first time having bouillabaisse. However, their tartare was absolutely terrible! It was made from some sour minced meat with an unpleasant smell—disgusting. I eat tartare quite often, so I know exactly how it should taste, even considering that every chef might add their own spices. Their tartare was made from stale meat. But that’s not all. We made a reservation through The Fork app, and a 20% discount was applied during the booking. When paying the bill, I was told that the discount didn’t apply to wine and dessert. The wine exclusion was understandable—it was mentioned in the booking terms that drinks are not discounted. But dessert? Why is it not included in the discount? That was unclear. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Been there after phone reservation. Asked for a outside table, but been told there was only a table inside. We accepted. Once there, they gave us a table outside and when I told the owner that we were told about a table inside just 15 minutes before at the phone, he replied that inside was not good for him anymore. Ok, but not a great start. On the other side, Staff was kind and professional. Unfortunately, food was not good (at least not at the level of our expectations - messy food presentation, mixed tastes, extravagant recipes, overpriced - 107 euros for a shared starter, two main dishes and a bottle of wine, dining close to boats engines it’s quite expensive to me). We had the feeling it is a very common and touristic place , fully filled with people everywhere. Probably the right place to have just a great grilled or oven cooked fish but unfortunately that was not our choice

We are so blessed to have a local friend taking us to this lovely restaurant by a small marina in Marseille, away from the touristy spot. The fish soup was definitely a star and all the starters were amazing. The dessert size was an eye opener, I would say it’s definitely an American size portion but the taste is so good that you will hate yourself for not being able to finish it. Love the citron tart! 😍 The restaurant is very crowded so I believe reservation is definitely required.

The restaurant was a suggestion and I believe a good one. The fish is fresh, portions are good (my starter looked like a main) and prices are in line with what is expected when getting fresh fish. We took a starter, a main of the day and a ice-tea spending €47 and sharing between two people, more than enough to keep us going for a while. The staff is polite, approachable and efficient at least this was my experience at lunch time. The venue is simple and overlooking the port. If you stop by you won’t be disappointed.

Charming restaurant right in the port of Les Goudes. We’ve had great clam linguini, delicious octopus (I prefer a softer texture, but amazing taste) and absolutely delicious citron merengue.

When going to Les Goudes this is the place to stop for some fresh fish! With a big terrace with a view on the tiny marina, you can chose from the catch of the day. Of indulge on some classic French seafood dishes. The prices are very correct for the freshness and quality of the food.

The service and the atmosphere was really good, and with beautiful views of Marseille while dining it then it’s worth eating at the restaurant just to enjoy the scenery. We had the Grilled Cockerel, Roasted Sweetbread, and the traditional soup au Pistou so it’s a mix of local dishes from Marseille. I enjoyed the ambiance alongside the food we had. We did order a lot but we were starving when we arrived from the airport.

What a view!!! On the first floor of the Intercontinental Marseille. If walking up to the hotel from the port, there are alot of stairs. Mobility issues would be better off getting a car. Gorgeous outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade. Wine, beer and cocktail list. We had the lamb and chicken dishes. Both were delicious and fresh with well seasoned veggies. Dessert shined with profiteroles and caramel vanilla ice cream. A laid back ambiance, so don't expect a quick turnaround.

What a disappointment. Asked in advance if the booking was for anything special I said on the reservation request that it was for our wedding anniversary. This was acknowledged on arrival and we were then placed at a table behind the service station with no view despite us being one of the first set of diners to arrive with ample alternative tables. The service was comical with an equippe that had a group conversation every time a dish came out of the kithcen deciding which table had placed the order. We were asked for our desert choices, whch we gave. Only to be aske by another member of staff if we had made our choices and to repeat them. Considering the marketing of the establishment and prices the service was really poor. Venue not recommended.

We had an absolutely great experience dining here. This is not the main restaurant of the hotel, but the brasserie, but the quality of both the food and the service is exemplary. The menu has some very creative dishes, including novel twists on French classics. Everything we tried was delicious. Service was super friendly, and except for trying to get and then pay the check, very efficient and timely, too. The hostess deserves special mention for being extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. The location and its view are what makes the while experience extra memorable, with a gorgeous view on the Notre Dame de la Garde.

Located inside Hotel Dieu InterContinental. The view in the evening from the terrace is incredible. We arrived early and had the front row. Food is very good but limited choices. Also had breakfast here inside. The decor is also nice. Wide varieties of choices.

I made my reservation on May 31 for 7/27 directly on their website but they didn't have any record of my reservation when we got there. They still accommodated us but it was to celebrate our wedding so I was disappointed since I had requested in the reservation a special table. Overall it was good.

Restaurant on the top of the hotel. Feels a bit like a rooftop one due to the large windows. Staff was friendly and helped out in English. The food was refined and tasty. They have a nice selection of wines. The view in the evening is fantastic.

The place was large and well lit, the view was nice but it was night time and it might be better during the day where you can have a better view of the harbour. I came with my dog and they were super friendly with her and even gave her a bowl of wate just for her. The food was good and visually pleasing with a couple of amuse bouche before the meal was served. But as good as the presentation was, it wasn't something outstanding that hasn't been seen before and lacked a little bit of refinement for the price. The staff however were great and very attentive to my every need.

You get to appreciate the city and the whole ambience in late afternoon all the way until sunset. Food is well executed by the chefs. Exquisite combination of flavor, texture using seasonal produce. It was a little difficult to get a table, but well worth it. We had read that there are no reservations and you should show up early. We were there right when they opened for dinner, but I suppose something changed recently because all the tables were reserved. We were told we could come back at 9 and try then. Around 9, a line formed outside and they would bring people in without reservations as they got tables. They only have 2 pizza flavors but both were outstanding. Then we got the fried squid that comes with salad and bread. That was the best squid I’ve had in my life. Cash only. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Marseille.

Loved it, had the anchovy pizza from the wood oven - crisp, hot and moreish tomato sauce. My friends enjoyed the cheese pizza. The cote de boeuf was fantastic too and really good value for the amount of meat. Very friendly service, id definitely come back

Really weird atmosphere. All the people working there (together.....) are not friendly with one another. A lot of yelling going on, and not in the warm marseillan way, more like being stressed and stressing others. Pizza is decent, tried nothing else because i wanted to opt out as soon as possible. Got a dessert elsewhere.

The moment we stepped into the restaurant, we knew we chose well. There were only locals. we were made to feel at home by Ida's niece and then Ida herself who is full of life. Seriously, you do not go there just for the food but for family atmosphere and positive vibes. And to top it all, food is fresh and very very good. We had so much banter with everyone that on our first day in marseille, we did not want to leave. Highly recommended!!

If you love karaoke, you'll live Chez Ida. We had a lovely dinner but most of all its Ida who steals your heart. A whirlwind of kinetic Italian warmth. Such a pleasure to meet a restauranteur with this much energy and live for customers.

We had never had such an excellent experience as there. In Marseille we were used to that most of the population can't speak really good English, however there we met service as never. Waitress was very nice to us and she recommended us a lot of options and local specialties. To sum up it was a very nice culinary experience. Hopefully we will return someday❤️

A historic landmark of a restaurant nestled into the welcoming trees of the Calanques park entrance = Super authentic dreamy atmosphere ... A postcard patio. Oh, and the food, drink, and even the service was excellent. The kind staff work hard and as a team. Bravo, nous reviendrons c'est sûr !

Host welcomed us by saying we would get a table in 5 minutes, but we ended up waiting more than an hour before getting a table. No apologies were made and we were served the most horrible tasting wine and questionable tasting food. Would absolutely never recommend going here.

I got food poison after eating the seafood spagettis here on Sunday evening. The server advertised it as Linguini seafood but it was spaghettis. We had 2 starters and 3 main courses + 4 glasses of wine (2 adults + 1 kid), the bill was 125 €. It was quite expensive for what we got. (Mainly pasta). I would not recommend this place even if the terrace is nice.... maybe just for a drink.

Really friendly server at the counter and friendly servers even though they were really crowded. Mussels gratin - 3.5 stars Mussels were flavourful but on the small side. Decent. Alsatian pizza - 4 stars I'm not a meat person but enjoyed the pizza. Tasty, chunky pork for the bacon. Creme fraiche was good. It was flavourful and slightly salty. Good bready crust. Coffee sundae - 4 stars Could've used more coffee in it. Good flavours. Fun place for brunch, and a great meal after a hike in Calanques. I'd go back to try other pizzas and pastas!

I think this was the best Falafel sandwich of my life (I've had many, all over the world). Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere. If you, like me, love falafel sandwiches you HAVE to try this one, you won't be disappointed!

Since we were in Marseilles, I wanted to visit Chez Sandríne. But, that apparently won't open for a couple hundred years. So, we came here. During a horrible heat wave, this location was much cooler than any of the street side restaurants. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the service was terrific.

This really cool place offers a selection of typical local foods and has amazing views at the port. The team working there makes your stay really nice! I enjoyed it a lot.

J'adore !!!! This restaurant was recommended to us by the reception at the hotel in Aix en Provence. We drove to Marseille arrived at the restaurant without reservation just past noon. They very kindly found is a small table. The service was prompt and attentive. We had an Aïoli steam fish and vegetables with their famous home made Aïoli which was light and fluffy not too strong in garlic. I found it perfect for my taste. We ordered stuffed grilled vegetables cooked in tomato sauce which was delicious. The tiramisu was divine with the creme fleurette on the side. Wine was good. The view from the restaurant was beautiful. Strategically located with the quay just across the restaurant. Highly recommended. Rsvp needed

Let's begin with few nagative things. It's bit congested bar and restaurant, and still in that tiny area they organize live music plus dance floor. There is 3 € entrance fees which is extreme. Its only one common toilet for man and woman. Good side is that they have good panoramic view. Great variety of hard sport. Glass of vine is quite expensive.

Stepped in here to get a cake for a friend. Also ended up sitting in (lovely air conditioning seating on a hot July day!) for excellent coffee and pattiserie. Absolutely delicious! My Marseille based friend later on confirmed this is the best pattiserie in Marseille!

Beautiful pastry shop! We stopped in for some macarons to go but felt very tempted to try more! There was also space to sit in and eat. Macarons were delicious and we really enjoyed the flavors - including orange blossom, passionfruit and chocolate, pistachio and raspberry.

The cakes were tasty, the macarons nothing special and very, very expensive. There was a linguistic and cultural clash with the staff when we tried to communicate.

Delicious pastries in Mariselle area! The other options looked okay in the area. Highly recommend a pastry lover to come here for their sweet tooth! We will be back this afternoon to pick up more for tomorrow, since they are closed on Sunday's. We came back in the afternoon and had the chocolate financier! We came back before closing to get the pistachio financier! We just ate the éclair! I love this guy's version of desserts and pastries. We leave Mariselle tomorrow (Sunday), so today was the last day we could enjoy all his goods. In retrospect, we should have checked out the chocolates too since we were a huge fan of the baked goods!

Nice spot! I got the red creamy toasty which was delicious, and the iced chai was good as well. Friendly service. The music is a bit loud but otherwise good experience.

Here’s the thing about this place, it has such a warm, cozy vibe, and the staff are genuinely the sweetest. I’ve really tried to love it, but the coffee is just always too sweet for me, probably because of the brand of oat milk they use (?) I’ll still be returning though. My friends adore it, and I’m on a bit of a mission to make it work.

The place is to be! I really enjoyed my meal at Coogee:) The food was very good and the stuff super friendly. In addiction to that they had a super nice playlist on the day I visited them. L’Éléphant Rose is a nice spot to grab some ice cream, though it’s a bit on the pricey side. I ordered two scoops for 6 euros, but the portions were thankfully generous. I tried the orange blossom and pistachio flavors—while the orange blossom was good, the pistachio didn’t quite meet my expectations. It was tasty, but not one of the best I’ve had in Marseille. If you’re in the neighborhood, it’s worth a visit for the experience. I suggest trying more flavors, especially the fruit ones, to see if they stand out more. For now, there are other ice cream spots in different areas of the city that I prefer. The service was good, and the place itself is charming. I really liked the wall decorations outside. However, the tables we sat at were sticky and could have used a good cleaning. We were seated outside.

Tried their coriander, mint and lime sorbet and absolutely loved how fresh it was. My server, a guy, was also quite helpful in explaining what the different flavor names meant despite his limited English fluency. I tried their other flavors and they all seemed good (especially the pineapple sorbet).

A hidden gem tucked away off Avenue du Prado - really cool contemporary atmosphere and a welcome change from the more 'traditional' French bars. The staff are helpful and the small plates are great. Worth booking a table in the courtyard.

Very poor asked for a burger and chips and ask for the burger to be well done. The food didn’t arrive for 50 mins and also my burger was raw and bloody. To add to the night my drink didn’t arrive for over an hour

The food improves everytime I go there, the meat is simply superb. I would recommend it! Mind you, it is pretty noisy but its a not too expensive chain so you get alot of families.

The chef has created an experience that we’ll remember forever. If you’re on the fence about visiting, just do it, you will not regret it. The chef personally explained how the tuna + poached egg was intended to be eaten, including details about how he designed the bowl with a small spout so you can feel the cold, homey ceramic on your lips. The meal was timed so that the sunset was occurring over the water as we ate… truly remarkable. These are just two examples of how every detail was considered. The food was sublime and the staff was very generous with our complete lack of mastery of the French language.

Truly excellent restaurant. The food is exceptional, mixing Japanese traditions and techniques with Provence ingredients. I do not understand the reviews that complain about portion size. We came out of lunch feeling completely satisfied, having eaten complex dishes that offered a great variety of flavours. Lovely cocktails. We're looking forward to go back to try the longer menus (we went at lunch and had the 50€ menu).

They refused us despite our booking ! We had the confirmation emails from the online booking platform and they claimed some technical issue. They were not trying to find a solution neither propose to return another day with some special offer. This was so rude ! It felt humiliating and that’s the first time in my life this happened ! We even received an e-mail after from the online booking asking how it was. Shocking ! It was schoking ! They were rude and arrogant. They couldn’t care less.

Confirmed booking in hands ( via la fourchette ) we have been told that there no booking for us in that place. Booked on month ago, the four of us were delighted to experience this place but with such unwelcoming manner , we obviously will never come again- so I warn all of you , it is not because you have a booking that you will eat there , you better prepare a B plan !

Probably one of the best Japanese restaurants outside of Japan. Even in Japan this would be considered top notch food. To find this is Marseille is a blessing.

We came here to get bubble tea and the mango green tea was the worst bubble tea I've ever had. My partner's passion fruit green tea was a lot better. The service is good because the guy speaks multiple languages and translated for us. But the flavour of the mango tea was gross. Do not get it in green tea format. Maybe the juice is a better option. Even from the colour you can tell mango bubble tea is not supposed to look like that.

The owner greets you in a friendly way and is very helpful. The prices are not outrageously high and the waffles and tea taste good. You can choose a menu that gives you cheaper waffles and drinks, and you can try out different things. In return, there is a large selection of varieties, toppings and sauces. Additionally the shop is nicely decorated and has a clean toilet.

Extremely disappointed by the bubble tea. First, they were out of tapioca boba. What boba tea place doesn’t have boba! Next, they were out of Matcha tea! Then, the “Nature” milk tea tasted more like coconut water. We ended up throwing away the two “boba” teas we’d gotten because they were disgusting

I ordered watermelon bubble tea with two different flavoured pearls, it had absolutely no taste and the tea was basically made with water, the pearls also have no taste and they were very stingy with the serving. I also ordered a banana tea and they filled it up with a banana juice that you order from your local supermarket. The staff also didn't seem professional either. The absolute worst bubble tea I've been to.

Pretty solid sandwich shop. We got the aioli sandwich, the beef daube, provencal salad, and garlic bread. Sandwich tasted very fresh. The beef daube was pretty good but it came in pre-made in a bowl that they just heated up. Would've been nice if it was served fresh but it was a huge portion. Great place for a quick and authentic meal in the heart of Marseille.

The fish sandwich was a highlight of my stay in Marseille. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. While a bit pricey, I would also recommend their own craft beer.

I spotted this place as walking by and to my surprise I found the best pan à l’ail that I’ve ever tasted. The service is super friendly, the owners welcome you with a big smile and are happy to chat with you. The good is very good quality and at an affordable price ! If you are around and wish to try something new, fresh and typic form Marseille don’t hesitate to visit them !

It’s been a while since I had a similarly awesome sandwich for 10 euros! Bread freshly baked and crispy, homemade filling with great ingredients, and the woman at the counter is super nice! The place has a huge terrace, so very likely you’ll find a spot even in busy days. One warning… delicious garlic sauce but maybe not suitable for having a first date after! ;)

Sandwiches are absolutely amazing! We had aioli, lobster roll, and bouillabaisse,and the last one was particularly memorable. Staff were friendly and they also have English menu. Highly recommended!

I tried the lobster roll here, which came with panisse, and honestly, it didn’t live up to the price tag of 19.90€. The portion was on the smaller side, but that wasn’t my main concern. The bigger issue was the taste, the roll was disappointingly average and rather bland. Since lobster has a naturally subtle flavor, it really needs the right seasoning or a sauce to bring it to life. Unfortunately, the seasoning here fell flat, Instead of the rich, seasoned lobster taste I expected, it felt more like eating something bland with the texture of crab, not at all what a lobster roll should be. On the positive side, the panisse was excellent. Overall, though, I wasn’t satisfied with the flavor of the lobster roll.

It’s an acquired taste - lots of unfair subjective reviews which I think do not do justice to the long history of navettes. The polite staff gave me a small piece to try before I buy, I am not a fan of it but I still bought a pack of six for €6 because I think they will go better with coffee or tea. Everyone has the option to try and not buy, so there is no need to give negative reviews if you do not like the taste.

I ordered a matcha here and was quite disappointed — it was very weak, almost like drinking plain milk, with no real matcha taste. This place is probably better for coffee lovers, but if you’re looking for good matcha, you should try somewhere else.

I ordered couscous with chicken and I enjoyed my meal a lot. I paid 14£ for this and I was hoping if I had more time to return back and try the tajin. Pros 👍 ● Great portions that I kept on eating the food over 2 days and I even invited a friend to try. ● The chicken was so tinder, well marinated, and delicious.🍗 ● There tables in the restaurant are comfortable and a big group can go to eat there. ● The bathroom was clean. ● I enjoyed using their plates a lot.🍽🍛 Cons 👎 ● I couldn't understand which kind of vegetables are served as I'm somehow for example intolerant to chickpeas. I hope there are more flexibility with choosing the vegetables in the future.

Terrible: we were 3 adults and 1 child (6 years old) and the waiter refused to serve us because we didn't want to order for the kid. His explanation was: that they don't earn money unless the whole table orders something to eat.

First. The good. Price point was good for amenities and room quality and pool etc. You are on the water. good. But Far away from cool part of downtown. Not good. If I did this trip again I would actually skip Marseilles altogether. Go to Provence Cannes Nice etc. My issue with this hotel was the Guest Services. I booked two nights instead of one during the week. Realized my mistake on a non refundable purchase within an hour and tried to change it. ( I have done it before a few times. No issues) And they said they would NOT refund me. They literally said it was possible but were choosing not to. I said fine. I accept my loss. Maybe just throw in a dinner credit and we can call it even. I’m here to have a good time. Not gripe about a few hundred dollars. Not even a drink credit lol. I get it. Fine print says one thing. The rest is on this hotel for having poor customer service. Thank you Hotels Tonight for doing your best to assist and asking the hotel to accommodate. You did your part.

No Teethbrush, Comb etc. on Room and no good English Skills by the employes what lad multiple times to small missunderstandings. A little bit a „stressfull“ atmosphere, mostly iniciated by other guest - not always what I expected, not very polite. A nice place, had a good time, but to expensive measured to what you get.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. We received a room-upgrade and the room offers ocean view. That was one of my wishes in advance. The pool is the highlight of the NHOW. The breakfast with ocean view is outstanding regarding the selection of food and fruits.

I’ve been coming here year after year for decades, and after spending over a month here this summer, I can honestly say the Nhow team Marseille has been nothing short of amazing. They are extremely dedicated to making every stay unforgettable — from the warm welcome at the front desk to the relaxing vibes by the swimming pool. I especially want to highlight Gaëlle, Thaïs, Kada, Frédéric, and Maxence from the swimming pool team for their incredible service and friendly energy. At the restaurant, Melain and Margot brought a casual yet welcoming atmosphere that made every meal a pleasure.(except the pasta-sorry) And of course, the welcome team — with Emmanuelle, Benjamin, Cyril & co — made check-in feel like a “smoothie” experience: fresh, easy, and full of good vibes. Can’t wait to come back again!

I used their taxi service and the driver couldn't give me a receipt and didn't accept card payment. I tried to contact the hotel multiple times, but they do not respond at all. Edit: Still no response, but they forwarded my request and I got a receipt per mail after 2 weeks.

I have just left the hotel less than an hour ago. I have tried to call numerous times within the last hour regarding a left valuable item in the room I spoke to a lady on the phone who said she would put me on hold and go and see she then put the phone down and I call back and she ignored my calls This is unacceptable

The best thing about staying here was the people - lots of helpful advice from the women on reception as I had to get a very early train from Marseille St Charles station and hadn't used Marseille's metro system before. They gave me a great map and a confidence boost. A good buzz in the bar/restaurant. A couple of niggles about the room - I ended up fixing a piece of cardboard over a light on the broken climate control that kept flashing through the night - but nothing major. Rooms are small but prices reflect that, I think. Am looking forward to staying again.

Restaurant is located at the top of a mountain with a beautiful view of the calanques. Please note, it requires about a 15 minutes walk to the top with stairs, so it's not really accessible - no strollers should be taken. We were travelling with 3 kids (8, 3 and 2 years old) so it was a hurdle, but overall, really worth it. Food was great as well, and wine recommendation was top!

Beautiful setting, well worth a visit. Don't go with high expectations for food or service. Simple menu with some crazy prices and mid to good food. Waiters seemed stretched and not massively friendly. Was bizarrely told certain ice creams were not available to adults, and had to pay in cash for a drink and an ice cream. That said, it's a stunning and fairly private beach which is great if you don't fancy Tuba Club or it's booked up. The walk from where the cabs drop off is also very beautiful and picturesque through the rocks. Also, you have to book a table at the restaurant to get a bed seemingly- they come hand in hand and the restaurant expects you to eat there before you sunbathe.

Absolutely brilliant, food was epic, staff were amazing, sensational view. I just wish that I could tip with credit card as I rarely carry cash. No complaints, would have just loved to reward Micah for his hard work, great character and sensational service 10/10 would go again, but I would bring cash!

Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend I really cannot recommend this restaurant. We made a reservation well in advance and were genuinely excited to go. Unfortunately, the experience fell flat from the start. The parking situation was a complete nightmare, even on a Sunday. We ended up parking 30 minutes away on foot—not entirely the restaurant's fault, but still frustrating. Despite that, we arrived on time for our reservation, only to find a long queue of other people with the same time slot. We had to wait another 40 minutes just to be seated. Once we got to our table, it still hadn’t been cleared—the table next to us was cluttered with dirty plates and glasses, making it clear that the place was understaffed and overwhelmed. Service was painfully slow. It took forever just to get a menu and drinks, and by the time we finally ordered, it was two full hours after our reserved time. The location itself is beautiful, but the atmosphere leans more toward a casual bistro than a proper restaurant. Given the high prices, the whole experience felt like poor value. The food was just okay—nothing memorable or worth the hassle. All in all, it was a very underwhelming visit. Next time, we’ll just bring a picnic and enjoy the area without the stress.

The setting is beautiful, but the overall dining experience did not meet our expectations. Prices, especially for fish charged per 100 grams, are extremely high for the quality offered. The risotto with gambas was quite disappointing, though the octopus carpaccio was excellent. Overall, an overrated and overpriced experience despite the lovely location.

We were a little wary because of some of the reviews but we had an excellent lunch. Really friendly staff, great food, and we thought it was priced well. Beautiful location, fresh fish prepared simply - can’t ask for more. Only thing to note is it’s about a 15 minute walk from the area you can park in through some hills which may be tough for older people. You need to reserve as well.

We came for dinner with a reservation and were quite disappointed by the place. Firstly, we waited 25 minutes by the moment we were seated, only to get the menus. We then had to wait another 30 minutes just to receive our drinks, for which we had to call a waiter at least 4-5 times and it seemed really difficult to catch their attention. The food arrived extremely late as well. The food was ok (we tried fish soup and gigot d’agneau) but truly nothing exceptional and felt like it did not match the prices. The staff were +- nice and kind to us but the service is truly problematic. Especially for this price-range as compared to other restaurants in the area. The view is really nice and there’s a beautiful terrace on the rooftop outside.

It was good to spend Friday evening in the good atmosphere and have dinner while it is better to have dinner inside and not at the terrace. Entrance is via the cinema - there is an elevator going to the rooftop. Views are impressive. Food was good generally and was brought rapidly. May recommend for a visit while area outside is not the best and it should be considered as well.

Small restaurant in the center of Marseille with its own rooftop which has beautiful views. The restaurant feels very comfy and has a good atmosphere. We had an unplanned diner there with my spouse and we were happily surprised with the food and the menu. Yes it is a bit pricy but worth it ; overall an enjoyable evening and service was top notch!

Beautiful rooftop above the Canebiere. View on Notre-Dame de Lagarde is magnificent, and the 180° over the roofs of Marseille is absolutely stunning. Sofas are very comfy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Cuisine is a mix of traditional recipes with a modern twist - the result is really really good. Atmosphere is cosy and decoration really nice.

Greetings from Brazil! The BEST place we've been in our trip over France. The manager was kind to the point of placing a table for us (not us on a table, a new table) on the best spot for a GREAT view! The St. Germain Spritz is a superb drink. The food is just OUTSTANDING! The Porc Confit with Polenta was probably the best meal I had in 10 days! Oh, I wanted to drink some Rum and I ordered a brand I didn't know. After 2 minutes the manager came to the table and told I ordered a white Rum, and just STATED he would change it for something better. He came from the bar with a nice glass of a delicious amber rum. The ultimate surprise (and act of caring for visitors) came with the check: my Rum and my wife's last drink were listed as "offer" (for free). AWESOME. Sure I'll be back next time in Marseille! Thanks for everything, guys!

One of the most lovely rooftop terraces in the centre of Marseille with complete rooftops and steeple panoramic views. The staff are super friendly and the menu is chic and delicious. Really nice wine selection and cocktails on offer and a beautiful decorate art-house interior to make your whole experience feel luxurious and charming.

Excellent pizza spot in the centre of Marseille- open since 1943. Friendly service. Nice Italian wines by glass Pizzas were around €18 on average.

One of the best traditional pizzas that I had tasted! The tiramisu was also flawless. I would recommend this pizzeria to all. A pity that I had outdoor seating and the neighbourhood isn’t the best place to have outdoor seating. Despite so, it still a great dining experience!
