What a fantastic experience for my wife's birthday. Absolutely delicious food with great presentation. Kasia was a lovely, friendly server that was professional, attentive and efficient.

Lovely time at this steak house. The steak was absolutely spot on, and the sides were just as good. This place has a really nice vibe, and good food options. Ridul was super friendly and felt we were taken care of. Our kids also enjoyed their pasta. Definitely coming back!

Been here so many times now! Never had a bad meal! The food is incredible, staff are always good. Maya was very lovely, cheery and helpful! Service with a beautiful smile. Will come again, and again.

Jess our waitress was amazing So good with our children and couldn’t do enough for us. She’s the best waitress in the Bournemouth branch . The other waitress could learn from her how to do the job properly. There’s a very moody rude woman in there. But Jess is exactly how it should be done!

Earlier I posted the incorrect review... this is the correct review. This restaurant is fantastic... I especially loved their cocktails. After a long day out this was the perfect way to end the evening. The staff were amazing

Great service from Zoe tonight, never been to a miller and carter and she was very helpful with everything, food was exceptional, highly recommend the sticky chipotle chicken starter. Below shows the chipotle chicken starter, 9oz rump steak with the three peppercorn sauce, chunky chips, wedge of lettuce with bacon and honey mustard on top, and a sticky toffee pudding. Absolutely exceptional.

Our first time to try this restaurant and it didn't disappoint The moment you entered the staff were very attentive especially Katie Our meals were delivered hot and we were not rushed between the courses And the food was absolutely delicious My husband has never been a fan of steak and only agreed to share a dish to please me but he was pleasantly surprised how much he enjoyed it The steak and the sauces and sides they were - WOW !! Definitely would go again

Nestled in the charming area of Westbourne, the Westbourne Grill House is a delightful steakhouse that beautifully marries rustic charm with modern elegance. This family-run gem specializes in serving an array of mouthwatering steaks, from sirloin to chateaubriand, all sourced from local farmers within a 30-mile radius. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by airy interiors and stunning vaulted ceilings adorned with captivating black-and-white prints celebrating Hollywood's golden age.
Last minute date night and my husband really wanted to try Westbourne Grill as he heard so much great reviews from his colleagues, called at 6pm, & luckily we managed to get a table reservation for 8:30pm It was busy and packed, not overly loud & it was cosy. We ordered the squid & crispy pork belly for starters. One criticism is the portion was very small but it doesn’t help that it was plated in a big plate, never less it was delicious Wasn’t long wait for our steaks to arrive. Both of our steaks were seasoned and cooked absolutely perfectly, it was very moorish, fries were addictive as it had the most amazing seasoning ~ absolutely perfect!!! Just gutted that we had no room for desserts, we will definitely come back very soon. Thank you for excellent service, great hosts, cosy atmosphere and outstanding food!!

My husband took me here for my birthday as I’m a big steak lover, and this didn’t disappoint. We were greeted warmly as we entered and because we were a little early we were free to choose our table so we took one tucked away in the corner overlooking the rest of the restaurant. We ordered a bottle of Pepperbox red wine and sharing charcuterie board to start, the cheese was crumbly, olives plump, bread crisp and selection of meats great quality, it was already rather filling before the main. For main we ordered the chateaubriand with garlic butter and bone marrow gravy, it came with beer battered onion rings, skin on fries, roasted balsamic glazed tomatoes, green beans and beetroot. We had the meat cooked rare. The chateaubriand was a little too rare but still very tasty nonetheless and I’m very happy with eating rare meat so it didn’t fuss me too much, but my husband found the centre to be a little too chewy, based on the rarity, for him. But the flavour was incredible, as was the sear on the outside. The Pepperbox red wine went perfectly with the meat. The fries and onions rings were wonderfully crisp, garlic butter flavoursome and the gravy tasty, albeit a little thin, it would have been nicer if it was a bit thicker. We could have done without the bean and beetroot combination as it didn’t seem necessary. There was so much food we really struggled to finish it all, which means it was great value as well! Unfortunately we were far too full to order dessert, which is a shame as the couple next to us had the sticky toffee pudding and it looked amazing! Our server was incredibly friendly throughout the meal and had a good laugh with us when we struggled to finish the meal and were jealous of the desserts. All in all a great meal, with a few tweaks it would have been perfect.

Amazing Steaks, Seasoned so well. Really great friendly service. Highly recommend. Thank you again for a great meal. Can’t wait to come back.

Went here for me and my girlfriend’s 2nd anniversary and honestly the best steak dinner we’ve had so far. I’ve had pasture back in Bristol and I honestly think this was better than that. The food, the service and the vibe/atmosphere was so nice. The table seating arrangement made it very intimate and our server was so nice and attentive. Would happily drive down from Bristol just to eat here again!
Brian M — Google review
If you're looking for a steakhouse paradise, you've come to the right place. I give it 5 stars because I can't give it more. Delicious is an understatement! The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. I recommend it 100%.

Fantastic Steak Experience – Worth Booking In Advance This small, intimate steak restaurant offers a fantastic atmosphere with only 9 tables, so booking ahead is a must. The staff are experienced, engaging, and clearly care about customer service — Caroline in particular was brilliant and made the evening feel special. I had the Blue Rib-eye steak, and it was cooked to perfection — tender, full of flavour, and incredibly easy to eat. While it's not the cheapest place, the quality of food and service make it excellent value for money. I arrived as a single walk-in and was lucky to be accommodated, which speaks volumes about the welcoming nature of the team. Highly recommend for anyone serious about steak and great service.

Wow, what can I say! I expected it to be good after seeing the reviews but did not expect it to be as good as what it was! Ambience - perfect Service - perfect Food - better than perfect if there is such a thing! I would a 1000000% recommend this place to anyone. Book in advance as it’s a cosy little place. I would actually do the near 3hr journey to come to Bournemouth just to come here to eat!

recently visited Westbourne Grill House. The food was actually good tasty and well-cooked, so credit to the kitchen. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the waitress, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. Her attitude made us feel uncomfortable, and it really took away from what could have been a great meal. Good food deserves good service — sadly, this visit missed the mark. I hope management addresses this, because the food itself is worth coming back for if the service improves.

The establishment specializes in serving rump and fillet steak accompanied by delectable homemade sauces. Visitors have praised the cleanliness of the restaurant and the attentive staff. The menu features dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients that are both visually appealing and delicious.
Amazing food, cooked to perfection!! Went on a Sunday and had a roast with my partner, the waitress was friendly and welcoming with nothing being too much trouble. We watched our food being freshly made and it was so tasty and more than enough for us both. Good price for the quality of food we had and easy location to get yo, not far from the beach. Would definitely go back again.

One of the best quality rib-eye steaks I’ve ever had—cooked to absolute perfection. I usually order it medium-rare, but this time I went for medium, and it was still incredibly tender with a slightly pink centre. We also ordered the spatchcock chicken with peri peri flavour, which was really delicious—well-seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavour. The mac and cheese for my kid was also great. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and appreciated the quick, friendly service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Great Steakhouse and unusual vibe which we enjoyed, with a really good live singer (he did look a little cramped in his seat haha). Service was brilliant and the Steaks were up there with some of the better steak places we have visited, the sauce instead come covered in tastes wonderful. If you enjoy your steak and you are in Gt Yarmouth I would definately give this place a go. When we come back we will definately go again.

3rd time we've eaten here during holidays in Bournemouth. The steaks are lovely with various sizes and types to suit all, from small fillets up to 50oz monsters!. Steaks are cooked to perfection what ever you choose. Can't fault it. It's now our go to place when visiting Bournemouth. Staff are great... No issues with slow service and some have mentioned despite it being pretty busy. Atmosphere is lovely. Everything is very clean. Be prepared to part with some money as the big meals add up if you're a family of 4+ but you don't go to a place of this quality and pay fish and chip prices! Worth every penny and I recommend a visit if you're a steak eater!

We asked for a nice table, and we got it. The service was spot on. Even though they didn’t have a Tommy’s Margarita, they offered a regular Margarita, which turned out to be an Old Fashioned — very good! 😊 My partner’s steak was perfect; mine was a little overcooked but still good. My recommendation is to order one level below how you actually want your steak cooked

As a tourist - looking for good food in a new country is difficult as it is, however after a confusing walk we found ourselves at Funki Griller and to say it was great is an understatement. The food was delicious,if you are from SA and looking for something from home - the basted rib eye is incredible! The atmosphere was calm yet warm and inviting, their operating hours are extremely generous, and having the beach be a 5 Min walk away makes it the perfect spot for quite literally anything and everything. Our server, Mikayla was perfectly angelic with her precision to help make a decision from where to sit to food and drink choices , easing the conversation with light hearted jokes and the friendliest smile. Thank you so much for having us Funki Griller, We had an absolute blast and will 1000% be back even just for a drink before going back.

Dearest Beau, 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 Firstly, we want to express how impressed we were by your knowledge, professionalism, and exceptional customer service skills—a true Hospitality Service Specialist. We were amazed by your confidence and your natural ability to welcome us so warmly into your fabulous restaurant. You created a wonderful atmosphere where everyone felt genuinely at home. 👩‍🍳🔪👨‍🍳🗡 🔪👩‍🍳🗡👨‍🍳 Our food was outstanding—the Tomahawk steak was excellent, the prawns and scallops were perfect, and the burger received a rave review. Please pass along our sincerest compliments to your kitchen team. Big props to whoever serves up the peppercorn sauce - delicious. My 14-year-old daughter, who works very hard herself, was thrilled to see another young person embracing their passion with dedication—and succeeding at it. Beau, at just 9 years old, you already have Funki Griller completely on lock! Imagine all you’ll have achieved by the time you’re 19. Bournemouth Steak House is a delightful haven for meat lovers, boasting a cozy atmosphere that invites you to unwind while savoring expertly grilled dishes. This charming eatery specializes in steaks, chicken, and other grilled meats, complemented by an impressive selection of wines. Diners rave about the chef's mastery in preparing steak to perfection—especially when it comes to cooking it blue. The mixed grill options are equally commendable, with tender lamb chops and liver cooked just right.
The steak is so delicious! We tried the Diane sauce for the first time and it is full of flavour. Very much enjoyed our meal!

Excellent food and service. Great value. Highly recommend. Don't be put off buy the humble exterior/interior. A good honest restaurant where the food speaks for itself, with service and value that exceeds that of many posh looking establishments. Everyone in our group of 7 enjoyed their meals. Thank you A clear 5 Star rating.

Visited yesterday evening and personally absolutely blown away by this hidden gem. The steakhouse has been in business for over 40 years and the premises reflect exactly. Old photographs adorn the walls, the interior décor transports you back and reminds you this is a family run business and the warmth that carries. It adds to the charm and overall experience DO NOT let looks deceive you. I didn't catch the name of our host but he was hands down the best front of house / serving staff i have experienced. Attentive, kind, comedic and had an overall warm theatrical flair that you do not get in dining locations today, we felt properly looked after. You can even view the cuts of meat in their fridge near the bar before you order. And what's more, there was genuine excitement to share what was on the menu with detailed knowledge of ingredients and preparations ( if you have room for the raspberry lemon meringue its a no brainer ) It is clear there is a huge amount of passion for what the Steakhouse is serving up and rightly so because the "Steak Trio" should be your go to order. Competitively and honestly priced and cooked to absolute perfection! Tender & juicy, full of flavour. basically putting the cuts of meat front and centre, the quality speaks for itself. The Bournemouth Steakhouse KNOW their craft and they know it very well, please do go and give them a try you will NOT be disappointed, absolutely will be returning.

Best steak house in Bournemouth. Old school restaurant with perfect steaks. We went again this weekend - very tender and tasty steaks cooked to perfection 🥩 😋 To accompany the steak you’ll find a list of perfect sauces. Don’t forget the fried onions - truly amazing

Went out with a few mates to the Bournemouth Steak House. Honestly, didn’t expect to be blown away but I was. I got the fillet steak and... wow. Cooked exactly how I asked, super tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Like, you could cut it with a spoon kinda soft. If you’re a steak person (or even if you’re not), this place will probably ruin all other steaks for you. 10/10 would recommend.
Andy L — Google review
If you're looking for Michelin like dining experience, this is definitely not the place. Yet, I gave this place a five star for the value for money, locality, and the super friendly staff. The food are incredibly reasonably priced given how the general environment has been, I paid 40 pounds for those three steaks (steak trio on the menu) and it is perfectly enough for two to share if not too much. I would say this is very well priced even before the inflation and everything. The food quality is alright, not the best I've had but far from anything to the bad spectrum. The steaks were all rightly grilled and remained juicy. The flavour was good enough and might work best with a bit of salt, but they offer four types of mustard so you will find your choice. People are saying it is a family run place, I cannot confirm that, but they do give a very warm neighborhood/family vibe in the place. They are very caring and service are definitely on point. Chatty staff to give you that welcoming feeling. This is a very distinct old fashioned steakhouse that is getting increasingly rare and I recommend it definitely for the dining experience, if I'm rating it by food quality only, it would most likely be a four star.

The outdoor terrace is lush with foliage, creating a vibrant atmosphere for cocktail enthusiasts looking for a lively evening out surrounded by nature's beauty.
Went here on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. It was nice and quiet so I was able to walk in and still find a table but did start to get busy in the evening! This is one of the prettiest restaurants I've been to in a while. The service and food was excellent as well. They were also very accommodating with my dietary preferences. Would highly recommend!

Very aesthetically pleasing cosy restaurant with an atmosphere to match! Very much sitting outside under the roofed pergola/terrace with the sound of october rain and beautiful colours of autumn trees. Felt like I was brunching in a treehouse! Lovely vegan options - staff very amenable to swaps too! Very much enjoyed and would love to go back if in the area

It was our first time visiting Urban Garden as tourists in Bournemouth, and we absolutely loved it! The place had such a beautiful atmosphere and vibe. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. There was even some entertainment for kids, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We were treated so well and had a delicious lunch—highly recommend the fish and chips!

Urban garden is such a great spot for a sunny day with summer rooftop vibes. The food matched the stunning aesthetic and they do a 2 courses for £22 lunch deal! The service was a little slow the day we went and the food took a while but we didn’t mind because it was a lovely place to sit and the food was worth the wait!
Lauren K — Google review
We visited the outdoor terrace of this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate a birthday lunch and found it to be an enjoyable experience overall. The setting, with views overlooking the Bournemouth Gardens, offers a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere that suits casual dining occasions. To start, we ordered the smoked haddock Scotch egg. The flavour was well balanced, with the smokiness of the fish complementing the egg nicely. While the yolk would have ideally been runny, the dish was still a strong introduction to the meal and thoughtfully composed. For our main course, we had the Fish and chips. The fish was well cooked and encased in a crisp, golden batter. However, the fish itself carried a slightly muddy aftertaste—likely due to the variety used—which somewhat detracted from the otherwise commendable execution. The hand-cut chips were excellent and arguably the highlight of the plate, showcasing a clear emphasis on freshness and quality. The pea purée had a pleasant flavour but was served cold, likely due to the plates not being sufficiently heated to retain warmth. The house-made tartar sauce, however, was well seasoned and a welcome addition. We also ordered a seasonal local beer, which paired nicely with the meal. It was flavourful and a fitting accompaniment to the dishes. The service throughout was friendly, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, contributing positively to the overall experience. The total cost came to just under £70 for two starters, two mains, and beer, inclusive of an automatically added service charge. Considering the central location, garden views, and quality of the ingredients, this represents good value for money—particularly when ordering from the set lunch menu, even if the selection is understandably limited. While no individual dish reached perfection, the meal was well prepared, the ingredients were fresh, and the experience overall was enjoyable. A fair rating would be 7 out of 10, and we would consider returning—especially for the home made chips and the inviting outdoor setting.

I couldn't fault the last visit. Was served by the manager Claire. She was brilliant, fast and even provided us with drinks not on the menu. Turned on the Aircon for us too as it was very hot. We were then served by Sophia who was also excellent. Very friendly, gave great service and made sure we made the most of our app vouchers and didn't want a tip. Really good service. So much better than before when we had the kids The bottomless brunch has changed, but the food you get is a lot more. Just a few less cocktails but we still enjoyed them Definitely the best bottomless brunch

We came to celebrate my daughters 21st and OMG we had the BEST waitress. Funny, attentive, friendly, on the ball and just got our vibes. She was so funny having us laughing so much i had to adopt her so she didn't feel left out. The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing and we had an unforgettable afternoon thanks for everything Diandra xx

Seafood restaurant
The Crab at Bournemouth is a refined contemporary seafood restaurant located just steps away from the sea. With two Rosettes and Michelin Star trained chefs, it offers an exceptional dining experience with locally sourced seafood from fishing villages in Dorset, Newlyn, Brixham, and Looe. The menu features gourmet twists on traditional British favorites like fish and chips, made with the highest quality produce that changes with the seasons.
We had Catch of The Day (Sea Bass), and Special Fish and Chips. Both were super delicious, perfect taste, perfectly cooked. It was the first time we had Fish and Chips with 2 special sauces, yummy. They even gave us 1 prawn on the side (it was chef's surprise). The prawn was also really delicious. The service was excellent, the staffs were friendly. But the atmosphere was not really cozy because it was noisy when we had dinner there. Free wifi for customers is available. Toilet for customers is available.

Went for a midweek meal. It was quiet, so we got a table without a reservation. The staff were very nice and took our order promptly. We had anti-pasti to start, and this was quite a small portion for a sharing dish, only one type of meat, but it was very nice. For mains, we had mussels and fries. It was a large portion of mussels, and the sauce was very nice. A lot of the mussels were quite small. Considering how quiet it was, we had a long wait between courses. We enjoyed what we had but found most of the dishes on the menu very expensive. I would have liked more choice of non fizzy soft drinks, but that's just me. If you don't mind the wait and happy to pay a little more, they have a good selection of fresh fish and seafood.

Lovely spacious restaurant serving fresh and unique dishes. The restaurant was quiet as it was mid week. The service was good albeit a bit slow but the food was delicious. We had fried soft crab, vongole pasta and mussels. All tasted very fresh. The home made bread was delicious. Would recommend.

4.5/5, great tasty food and fantastic friendly service. Bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion. Was a bit quiet but it means our service was especially excellent, the battered fish and mussels were very delicious!

We came here on a Saturday evening; however it wasn't particularly busy. The food was lovely when it arrived, but the service was incredibly slow. It felt as if there were a lot of staff milling around at times. For example, we were asked by multiple people if we were ready to order. The slow service did disappoint us overall as we were expecting good things, so we probably wouldn't return

The Crab at Bournemouth is seafood bliss by the pier. The whole crab and lobster dishes steal the show, and the live pianist adds elegant charm. Friendly staff and a smart-casual vibe make it a delightful evening out.

Surprised at the reviews, as I expected it to be much higher. My partner and I have been dining here a lot over the years, and I can say that its our favourite restaurant for a fine dining experience at an affordable price. My partner and I spend £100-£120 (including tip on top of the service fee) for a main course, wine, and dessert. In my opinion this is excellent pricing for how the quality of the food, and flavour. Its not a fast food restaurant, so be prepared to enjoy your drinks and have a conversation while you wait a reasonable time for your food to come. The waiters are lovely, and help each other out. They also go above and beyond to learn your name when you go more than once. A small thing, but it feels extra special. I took my partner for a birthday meal last night. I had the catch of the day sea-bream. (We usually have the calamari) My partner loved it so much that we returned the next day to have it again. We noticed familiar faces from the previous night too, coming back for seconds. Please don’t concern yourself with the negative reviews. I haven’t been to a restaurant in Bournemouth that is consistent like The Crab. I have never walked away disappointed. They also take your opinions on board and implement them, so they actively improve their service. The catch of the day, and the mousse (bear in mind the menu changes every season so they may not have it) is our favourite.

Walked in at opening time, told they needed the table back in 1.30h, said no problem... A starter of humans took 30mins to arrive, tiny bowl and one pita bread for £5. Had lobster for main, again took ages, asked for mayonnaise which never turned up. Had to go to the bar 3 times to get my own drinks. Over priced and under serviced. Refused paying the "discretionary" 12.5% service fee. Bill still near £70 not good value or service. I'll never go back.

It was an amazing experience; we really enjoyed the dinner. The food was outstanding, really tasty. The service was amazing. We went for a birthday dinner date; they gave us a birthday card and a complimentary small cake at the end. Highly recommend; it's a bit expensive...

Absolutely loved it here - the food was fabulous, the cocktails are amazing, and the service was impeccable! Marion, our host, was fantastic too. We chose Neo for our wedding - a small and intimate service, followed by close family joining us at NEO for cocktails and food. They couldn't have been friendlier and more accommodating. Will be back when we visit Bournemouth, and would 100% recommend them to anyone! ☺️

Gorgeous restaurant with amazing views. We had the tomahawk steak for the main which was served for two in front of us. Very attentive! Cocktails were lovely and overall 5 stars but starters could be a tad better but would definitely visit again.

Having been a loyal customer of Neo's Restaurant for years, I can confidently say the experience is consistently exceptional. The food is always of the highest quality, and the cocktails are fantastic, expertly crafted with high end ingredients and delicious. What truly sets Neo's apart, though, is the team's impeccable service and hard work. We gladly travel over an hour just to dine and have cocktails here, which speaks volumes about how great this place is. It's truly worth the trip every single time.

My boyfriend and I were here last weekend. Great atmosphere and service. Our waiter was very accommodating and down to earth. We both had the surf and turf which was great however what let it down is that my partners steak was overcooked to well done as opposed to medium rare which is what he ordered. They were happy to take it back and we were also given two complimentary shots. Unfortunately when the food came back we found that the lobster which was perfectly cooked came back rubbery from being re-heated. This was disappointing considering the surf and turf came to £85 each and they had also forgotten to season the fries the second time. The starters were delicious and perfectly cooked although I also couldn’t justify £16 for 3 small scallops. Other than that we had a great night. The prices are high for a restaurant in Bournemouth as this is what we are used to paying in London.

Booked for my girlfriend's birthday, very pleased with the team & the service, Sat upstairs & picked from the a la carte menu, Very nice food with some lovely flavours & great presentation, Monday evening was not too busy so not noisy either, a lovely relaxed meal which she thoroughly enjoyed! Excellent 10/10

This is one of the best restaurant experiences we've enjoyed for a long time. The food and the service were both A1. The Cheese Souffle in particular was 11/10, but everyone's food was top notch. The service too, for example, they would bring glasses of ice and extra jugs of gravy preemptively before we had to ask for them, although the restaurant wasn't busy so I don't know if they'd manage that level of service on a busy night. Thank you guys!

Was served by James, who our table agreed was an absolute legend and deserves some kind of reward. All starters were gorgeous and arrived in good time, and my two companions said their food was delicious (and it looked it) but I felt my pizza both looked and tasted like something you could pick up from the tesco frozen aisle. Overall a very enjoyable meal, and their coffee was lovely.

We went for a quick drink, as we had business to deal with further up the road. Very pleasantly received, wonderful to see there is a clear bar area, where you can also have a meal, while watching sport on the television. Very relaxed and admirable atmosphere. It would be a pleasure to return and hopefully sample the food as it appears the prices to be very reasonable, not only for the drinks but especially the prices of the food. Hope to visit again soon.

One of our favourite local restaurants. Always good value, especially with their daytime menu offering main courses for just £6. Visited with family on Saturday and was served by Maddi, who was friendly and very efficient. We all enjoyed our choice of food and enjoyed the evening.

I have been here several times but tonight it wasn’t very busy, we waited an hour and ten mins for our food with no apologies and not much different with the sweet. The curry was only warm, the rice was cold. Not happy at all and spoke to several other couple that felt the same and watched 3 meals get sent back from different tables and 2 families walk out. 🤦‍♀️
TJ B — Google review
If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be an inconvenience in human form, step right up to this pub. The barman has perfected the art of treating customers like interruptions to his break — service appears to be entirely optional, and he stops pouring pints whenever the mood takes him. We were there at 10.30 and told he’d stopped serving and sometimes he closes at 9:30. The pub wasn’t empty, it just depends how he feels !!! The décor could best be described as “charity shop chic,” though that would be unfair to charity shops. Scruffy furnishings, sticky tables, and an impressive display of abandoned glasses complete the look. It’s less “pub atmosphere” and more “morning after a house party nobody enjoyed.” Go for the experience if you fancy a game of guess whether you’ll get served and don’t mind sitting among last night’s dirty glassware. Otherwise, perhaps just stand outside — you’ll get the same level of service, and fresher air.

Warm and cosy atmosphere, amazing, delicious food for only £6 at certain times, amazing value and wonderful attentive service from Maddi, nothing was too much trouble, food came out in good time, as ordered, very friendly and responsive to needs. Would definitely recommend to others, big enough tables to accommodate large groups or intimate corners for two.

This pub enjoys a stunning seaside location, offering breathtaking ocean views. On a warm day, the outdoor seating must be an absolute delight. I visited on a chilly evening, so I stayed inside, but the cosy, inviting atmosphere made up for it. The spacious layout, with large tables and plenty of seating, makes it a great spot for groups as well. However, the food was disappointing. We both ordered burgers, and unfortunately, neither met expectations. The patty was far too dry, lacking the juicy texture that makes a good burger enjoyable. The bun was also underwhelming—rather than a buttery, soft brioche, it felt like a generic supermarket bun, which didn’t do the burger any favours. While the location and ambience are fantastic, the food quality leaves much to be desired. It’s a great spot for a drink with a view, but if you’re after a standout meal, you might want to look elsewhere.

The menu features Mexican cuisine with a twist, including elevated street tacos and tapas inspired by Central American flavors. Whether you're a vegan, gluten-free, or a meat lover, there are plenty of options to choose from such as pulled pork tacos, vegan nachos, shrimp, and chicken wings.
I loved it here! We ate so many different things and everything tasted amazing! My highlights were the pork tacos and the trio of dips with tortilla chips (one of the dips is hot cheese!) The cocktails are really interesting and delicious. Staff were very friendly and informative, even warned us before the kitchen was closing so we could order any more food we wanted. The decor is very fun with pretty twinkling lights. My only tiny gripe was that I did get a little bit chilly towards the end of the meal but otherwise a perfect dinner out.

We loved the ambience, look of the place, lovely warm welcome. Great menu choices for food and drinks. We had mulled wine 🍷 on the advice of the server. Really wanted to love this place. I love mexican food and tapas and this place looked amazing. Unfortunately my high expectations were too high. Half of of the food we had was very bland and some of it was very small. We did like the duck, the chorizo and potatoes though. We'd only order these if we went again We tried 2 of your cocktails and they we really bitter. they're a different type of cocktail compared to most other places. They look amazing but they're very marmite Service was a mixed bag. The Swedish/European guy was amazing but the other guy with the dark hair wasn't. The bar stocks over 50 types of beer and they've got some interesting tasting sessions too.
We had a lovely afternoon enjoying a bottomless brunch. The £35 bottomless brunch including cocktails gave us very good value for money. It was a rainy Saturday afternoon so we knew we would be here for a while so we opted for the bottomless brunch. The food was excellent (chicken waffles and signature burger) and we had freshly made cocktails all for £35! We would have spent more than that individually for the hours we were here. Our waitress Scarlett was attentive and always made sure we had a cocktail on the go, so thank you! We wouldn't hesitate to visit again. The cocktails and food was all great, and we loved the music choice!

Very quiet on the night I visited. I asked for a recommendation on a good beer for around a fiver. , I was allowed to try the pilsner, which I bought for £5.60. Very nice beer for a fair price in the impressive surroundings. Nicely decorated and an impressive looking menu. Look forward to returning.

We visited while on holiday and first impressions were excellent, we ordered at the bar as the app was not working, and were told after ordering (and paying) that certain items were not available. We ordered alternatives which were not as expensive and were not even offered the difference back or any acknowledgement that we had now overpaid. The food was average, slightly burnt cold burger buns and all the meals were just a bit plain overall. Definitely deserve the 3 stars for the decor and lovely atmosphere of the place.

Food- As shown in the photo, the salad accompanying the Devon crab was a bit small and wilted, chips were a generous portion but soggy. But, the devon crab itself was great being rich and fresh in flavour. We also had the escargots which were not shown, they were submerged in garlic butter making them quite oily and ‘bubbling’ hot upon arrived. Service- Nice and polite, some requests were forgotten, unfortunately. However, the bill was incorrect due being charged independently for each children’s dish rather 2 course’s price. Atmosphere- Quiet and amazing sea view. Tables reasonably well spaced.

me and my partner visited this establishment and we were vividly disappointed. on first arrival everything seemed fine, service was great and we ordered our food. we were not asked if we had any allergies but on our receipt they had in fact said we had none. (luckily we didn't but lucky it wasn't someone with an allergy). we had the bread with dips to start and fair to say they were brilliant really enjoyed the simple starter. after that we were sat at the table waiting for over 1 hour for our mains. people next to us were eating their food and finishing before we even had ours. anyway after waiting an hour we got our food. i had the rabbit and my partner ordered the trout. my partners trout was in fact salmon as she was served the totally wrong dish. my rabbit, was fine but the mash potatoes were just slop and the 'mustard sauce' was just oil. as well as this, the food was not hot at all, lukewarm at best. after receiving the bill we were told that 2 of the cokes had been removed for such a long wait (nice gesture) just to find that the total of these cokes removed was added as gratuity. Safe to say the staff were friendly in this establishment but not attentive to our concerns. there was no communication to the guests about the wait time of the food until after we received it. really unfortunate because this place at first glance looks really nice but in fact is not.

Bad experience. First, and perhaps last, time I've been to this place. First, it took over 45 minutes to deliver my order. When I asked the girl who served us, she told me it took so long because they were preparing the salad. When they brought my food, it turned out to be cold. Furthermore, the salad we were supposedly waiting for wasn't fresh. And that's not all. When we complained, they ignored us and didn't resolve the issue.
Felipe F — Google review
Where to begin... Very slow service for an almost empty restaurant, my burger, my sister's in laws burger and my daughter's burger were burnt. This is apparently a portion of bacon which I did complain and got more. A side of onion rings is two onion rings which is appalling. My partners Mac and cheese was lacking a whole lot of cheese and any real moisturer. My mother in law got given a cocktail with lipstick all over it. The glasses where dirty, the cutlery bent. And for 6 adults and one child it was nearly £300 for absolutely awful food. Safe your time and money and avoid.

Firstly walking in, don’t tell us there is a 40 minute wait on food with a mostly empty restaurant. If you don’t want our business just say that only to be told by a manager “oh good job you cam in now food should be nice and quick as no one is in front of you”. The steak was cooked rare instead of medium and I could have forgave that if the half chicken wasn’t as dry as a nuns muff Service was lacking, asked 3 times for a steak knife, no condiments brought over, no check back and at the end when asked how my food was and i told her I got the reply of “oh don’t tell me that”. £40 for a mixed grill! I would rather guide my father into my mother than pay that again

Went to TGI s for a 5th birthday. 7 Adults and 5 kids. The staff were friendly at first with good service. Saw the menu and a standard burger with fries was nearly £20. As you can see in the picture it was not massive. Nearly an hour to get food out. But it was pretty busy so not overly annoyed. I was really annoyed about the kids eat free with an adult meal. What a great deal I thought. Just be warned that you have to have the app which we did ..........BUT! Each adult needs to download the app per child. Which took ages. Staff got annoyed at forgetting burgers and then got rolled eyes at us for my burger. And finally the bill. Got it wrong again. Had enough after 2 and a half hours.
James P — Google review
Very disappointed in this TGI Friday's. Some of the waitress was really rude. Should really take a customer service course. The food was dissapointing. Steak was practically rare when asked for medium. No apologies for long waiting time. No one bothered checking on us. They clearly don't care about Hygiene for the amount of jewellery that they were seen wearing whiles serving customers. Leaving chemicals out for children to grab. It really doesn't seam like a family friendly restaurant. Very very disappointed.
Aurelia P — Google review
Awful experience. We walked in and asked if we could be seated in a specific area of the restaurant and the waitress rudly responded no just because it was QR operated. We ordered drinks and they didn't have all the ingredients to make them so they left 2 already made drinks on the side for a for ages while they tried to figure out how to tell us they didn't have ingredients for the other 2 drinks and whiles that the first 2 drinks got watered down. We made 2 separate orders and 2 of the party people food arrived within 15/20 minutes of being ordered even though we placed the order at the same time. One of the meals it was asked to leave out the onions and there was in fact onions in the meal. Lucky that it wasn't an allergy otherwise someone would have ended in a hospital just because they didn't read the instructions. The other person ordered a meal with chicken which was tough and over cooked. The other 2 party's meal arrived 1 hour later when everyone had already finished their meal. Ordered a simple steak and burger. The steak was asked to be medium and it was definitely rare instead. The steak knife was useless; blunt so couldn't even cut the steak quick enough because by the time I got half way through to cutting it, it was cold and tough. Noone even bothered coming to check if the food was OK for us or if we needed anything. A few tables away they had a cleaning spray which hadn't been moved since we got sat down. It was just hung on a chair, which was so easy for a child to grab (health hazard). They also had a trolly full of dirty dishes pilled up near the area where they sat us. The chef was wearing jewellery which clearly means they don't care about the food hygiene. The waitress came to collect some food and decided to tie up her hair right before picking up someone's food without washing her hands. The toilets were disgusting. Not even a sorry for the delay. This experience was overall terrible.

Canadian restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Bournemouth, Moose Kitchen is a delightful eatery that celebrates Canadian cuisine with a rustic flair. This laid-back spot offers an array of local favorites, including their signature burger made from an 8oz hand-made dry-aged beef patty, complemented by special sauce and fresh toppings like lettuce and dill pickle. For those seeking something unique, the garlic shroom and cheese burger features savory mushrooms sautéed in garlic butter topped with melted cheddar—an absolute treat!
Easily top of the list in Charminster, which is no small achievement. The restaurant has a very welcoming and rustic feel. The service is friendly and lovingly provided. The food is fantastic. The menu is North American, but not just burgers. The Meat Loaf is awesome. I can't believe we waited so long to dine here. Probably because it's very popular. I definitely recommended reserving a table ahead.

We had our second visit today. Again we were not disappointed. I had a burrito with triple cooked chips it was delicious my husband had whiskey river burger and triple cooked chips. It was a big buerger and he really enjoyed it. For pudding I had the chocolate brownie, it was perfect crunchy on the outside gooey on the inside - it was so nice we forgot to take a photo! As always food was amazing. Kay and the team were very friendly as usual. We will be back again soon, so many more meals on the menu to try next time we visit!

Awesome find! Driving to Bournemouth discovered this place and tried to book. No room but offered to let us know if a cancellation and luckily there was! Table at 6pm but never rushed to leave and spent a couple of hours in fantastic company with great Canadian cuisine and drinks. All the staff are so friendly and conversation is there if you want it. Lots of regulars show this is no flash in the pan. But what comes out of the kitchen is the star. It’s impossible to find great Canadian food in the U.K. and here it is. If only there were a bowl of pierogis and bacon on their own 🤣 Great cocktails make it a super fun evening but you’ll need to be rolled out there’s so much food.

A mighty meal! Great tasting food, lovely incredibly warm team! Thoughtful decor and music to accompany the brilliant selection of meals. I would say the gravy was seemed very very salty but not enough to stop me enjoying everything! Also absolutely love the quality vegan options! Will be coming again for more and recommending to friends!

We had an amazing time, the staff are SO friendly 10/10 service! The portions were massive and so tasty. The poutine gravy was too salty for me but they substituted my meal with drinks and took the cost off my meal. Can't recommend this place enough, although it was the servers that made our night

Great food, nice atmosphere, lovely people. No coincidence that when booking somewhere for a break we've ended up near the Moose Kitchen, which we discovered last time we were down here 2 years ago. Glad to be back and to support a fantastic independent eatery.

I cannot rate this place enough. The food was amazing. You could tell it was all fresh and homemade. Portions was big, you definitely leave full and in our case, with multiple doggy bags. Poutine was so good, we got another portion. The roast beef dip was so flavourful and so tender, the dripping were so good. The perogies were amazing and so filling, never eaten anythinglike that. The what the cluck was a monster, chicken was crispy and light, the mac cheese was lovely, the bacon was really good and the spicy sauce, just set everything alive. Value for money- 100%. The service was excellent, the server was so friendly. The place its self was wonderfully decorated with a really warm atmosphere. The moose head beer was so nice and went down really well. Would 100% go back, and can't wait. They mentioned that they are going to start doing a delivery, so if they deliver to our address, will definitely order. Highly recommended

My favourite place to eat in Bournemouth! Me and the fiancée just got back from our second visit to Moose Kitchen and I just have to write about my love for this authentic Canadian kitchen. Both times we have been wowed by the food. I went for the Roast Beef Dip (consisting of roast beef slices in a soft garlic baguette with a delectable beef jus for dipping). The poutine is also amazing as is the Whiskey River Meatloaf that my fiancée had. The decor is cool, and I love the rock music they play there too. Likewise both times we have been the service has been super warm and friendly while the food takes the perfect amount of time to arrive at the table. It was nice to see a larger party in there tonight, and another couple too. For our budget we consider it as a special treat to go to, and I really think you get your moneys worth in portion sizes, quality of food and excellent service. Thank you for a wonderful meal-out Moose Kitchen, I look forward to my next visit! 🇨🇦🫎🇨🇦

What a lovely experience...... Clean, tidy, attentive staff and the food was fantastic..... Wasn't planning on stopping but saw the 50% off Fish and Chips on a Friday and being a true Yorkshire man thought we'd take a look..... Delicious flakey fish in a melt in your mouth crispy batter, served with crisp, fluffy chips, garden peas and the most amazing homemade tartar sauce ever....... Even though it was 50% off Friday, I would happily come back any day of the week.... Will definitely be back....

Came here for the Badness tribute band. Had drinks and dinner first. Service is great and the staff quick and friendly. Food was good... We went for 3 light Bites to share, so we could have a pudding. Chicken goujons were delicious, as we're onion rings and cheesy chips! Puddings were a let down... Ice cream was good but the pancakes were very hard, and shop bought and cold... All in all enjoyable. Great atmosphere when the band came on with lots of dancing and singing going on! The staff were excellent!

Hello to the staff of this restaurant, thank you for allowing me to have a nice meal and time. Location wise, it is situated towards the end of the classic Bournemouth pier, accompanied by the sea. Has both indoor and outdoor seating, and both have nice atmospheres. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with a side of cheesy chips. In terms of price, it was decent. The chips were amazing. Perfectly cooked, the cheese was good quality too and also perfectly melted. Pizza was huge, almost couldn't finish it. It was quite nice though. Would think about a return in the future.

We used this venue to host a function and awards ceremony at the end of the summer season and it was amazing! The staff were excellent with helping me through setting up the event and always available and happy to answer any questions. Peter was quick to confirm dates with my enquiry and Katie was a great point of contact and was there from start to finish and was lovely to work with. The staff on the night were great and always on hand for anything that I needed or easy with any updates/ changes to the running order. The venue itself was beautiful and it was played out exactly how it was described during planning meetings and the group loved the location and venue!

Stepping inside, we were welcomed by staff straight away. We had not booked anything, though there was no fuss. They calmly directed us to a free table for our family of four. As soon as we were ready to order, we used their handy table service method of placing the ordering flag on top of the waitress service pole. It brought their attention immediately. In the blink of an eye, we were greeted by a member of staff. We placed our order; two Portettis, one king prawn ciab and chips, a ploughman’s ciab, kids goujions and beans, and an adults chicken goujons and an extra side of chips. The total came to exactly £72.65. Quite pricey, although the food came fairly quick. It was just worth the price, and all was eaten! All in all, would definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to eat as a family, though is a little expensive! Great experience.

Such a lovely place our server Tom was wonderful, friendly and helpful. I had the fish and chips, and it was the best I have ever had. It was a half price Friday special but I would happily pay the full price for it. The restaurant is clean and offers great views across the bay

I was originally quite apprehensive when we were asked to pay for the meal upfront. But when the food arrived I was very surprised, it looked really good and according to everyone the taste was great. I had the all day brunch while my partner had the posh fish fingers. The food is a bit overpriced but I suppose you pay slightly over the odds because of the location, key west is situated at the end of the pier. The place looks a bit run down and Definitely will sooner than later need to be redecorated. The staff did a great job, the service was spot on. Overall our time here was good.

Located in the lively heart of Bournemouth, Brass Haus is a spacious and inviting bar adorned with brass fittings. The venue offers special deals on food and drinks while also featuring sports on TV. It's a popular spot for cocktail enthusiasts, offering an extensive selection of handcrafted concoctions to cater to every taste. Additionally, visitors can enjoy digital darts for some friendly competition at affordable prices.
We came here for our Thursday date night and were served by Jess. We were shown the deals for interactive darts and decided to book the 90 minute session for only £6pp. The darts lanes have a switch for table service which was really efficient. We had 2 cocktails to start, the beer battered mushrooms and fries as a snack. All was very tasty and well priced. Excellent service throughout, can highly recommend!

We went to the Brass Haus for Sunday brunch, so we chose a pretty quiet time to visit. I've not been in this venue in about 10 years, so I have some memories of how it used to be, but how it is now is so much better! It's great inside! Love the decor, nice music playing, lovely big stage area at the back, plenty of seating and lots of nooks and crannies! The breakfast menu isn't massive, but it doesn't need to be. I had a bacon and egg bap, with a £1 side of hash browns, and loved every mouthful! It was delicious! I genuinely had nothing to moan about, which is rare in current times. The prices were good, the quality was great, and the staff were lovely! Definitely going back!

The talented chefs have skillfully reimagined traditional family recipes, infusing them with a modern flair that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. Upon entering through the adjoining bar, guests are greeted warmly and seated promptly, setting the stage for a memorable meal.
Had a lovely meal for my friends birthday. There were 8 of us and everyone got their food at the same time (starters and mains) and we all loved our food. Our waiter was very attentive and ensured our requests were met. Three of us wanted steaks bigger than what was on the menu so the chef cut them bigger. Presentation was lovely too. I will definitely be returning.

Food was fantastic, a solid 8/10, the calzone pizza was incredible. Highly recommend their tiramisu, 9.5/10, only wish there was more 🙂‍↕️ Service was good and restaurant was empty, quite surprised to see very few people around. Went with family, but it would be a great location for a date, as there’s a small park opposite for a nice walk after as well. Very lovely lighting too, romantic.

I went to this incredible Italian restaurant last Friday, and it was nothing short of amazing. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the mouthwatering aroma of authentic Italian food—it instantly transported me to the heart of Italy. I ordered the carbonara, and let me tell you: it was the best I’ve had in Bournemouth, hands down. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, just like they serve it in Rome. No shortcuts, no heavy cream—just the real deal. The atmosphere, the smell, the flavors—everything felt genuinely Italian. It’s rare to find a place that gets it so right. If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience, this is the place. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Guests can even experience hot stone cooking by preparing their own steaks at the table. Visitors have raved about the attentive staff, with one mentioning the helpful assistant manager, Paul.
I booked a table for myself, as was recommended, and Paul, the assistant manager, could not have been more helpful. All the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. I had salt and pepper squid to start and can honestly say it was one of the best I've ever eaten. It was so good I popped back in this afternoon on my way back from Bournemouth just to have some more! And it was still as good. Last night for main course I had the fish (haddock) and chips with mushy peas. Also excellent. After dinner I sat outside alone and was then invited to join another table of people which was lovely. I loved everything about this place. If you're not sure whether to go or not, do it!

I have visited Reef Encounter couple of times in June during lunch breaks. At the beginning of June it was very quiet and and the of June it got very busy due to beautiful weather and summer season. So far I've tried full Dorset, Mac & cheese & sweet fries. It takes quite a while for food to be prepared and not all of the meals are served at the same time, so there is always someone eating while other people are still waiting. It's not a huge problem, more an inconvenience, but I haven't seen the same situation in other restaurants. Food was always freshly prepared, hot, served in the very appertaining way and most important it was delicious. Also cocktails are very tasty, I can highly recommend Japanese Slipper (yum). Prices are mid range and staff members are very friendly and helpful. Location is also great, just few minutes away from the beach.I will definitely come back.

Beautiful location on Sea Road just before you reach Boscombe Pier. Breakfast was nice, coffee not so great and service wasn't great. We waited around 20min for someone to come and take our order and the place was empty?!? It was an english woman that served us and obviously she had an attitude that was not happy to serve "some people with foreign accent". In fact Eatern Europeans. Made me feel uncomfortable. Not going back and feel sorry about people like that.

Had a lovely meal here Saturday lunchtime sat outside watching the world go by. The staff were attentive, polite and did a brilliant job. I ordered ribs and my wife ordered the sticky steak salad. It was all delicious although I think the salad was so much better and I had food envy! Other customers had the skewers which looked fab. The ambience and music are very chilled and I felt so relaxed and happy spending a couple of hours on a lovely warm sunny October lunchtime! The Sierra Nevada beer helped I'm sure!! This is exactly what I needed after a stressful week! Thank you so much!

Came in as a group of 8 during the day to get food. With the place empty we somehow all didn’t get our food even close to at the same time, mine was one of the last to come out and at that time everyone else was done as you can see from picture. Sandwich was dry - had to go to the bar to find someone to ask if they had any mustard or sauces to where I got a salty answer of “whatever’s on the table” Zero percent helpful restaurant was empty so don’t really get how it was so hard to be nice or helpful Also probably would have drank a lot more if you check on the table

I have seen many different menus here over the years but have to say the current menu is brilliant. The deals are great, the staff are friendly and the events are a fun way to spend an evening. I recommend the pub quiz night or the open mic night. The booths also have usb ports to let you charge your phones. The food was ok, but they've stopped doing coffee & only have revolting tea, a peculiar yogurt drink & bottled water or fizzy drinks, which kind of spoiled the whole thing. They don't seem to be aware that it's legally required in the UK to supply restaurant customers with tap water if required, but a few mix-ups & other irritations made that a bit irrelevant.
