Pub
Brewery
Wiltse's Brew & Family Restaurant is a cozy and inviting pub-style eatery that offers a diverse menu featuring burgers, BBQ, and fried fish. Owned locally and set in an upscale environment, this restaurant provides a unique dining experience with its modern facilities. The establishment boasts its own lagers and ales for patrons to enjoy alongside their freshly made pub food.
I went to the mermaid gala From Huron Out Pub hosted and I was blown away by how beautiful the decorations were. The food was amazing and I was happy to see they had vegan-friendly options. The people were very helpful, warm, and welcoming.

First of all let me say, I HATE leaving negative reviews. In this case I have no choice but to leave 1 star. This was our 2nd time here. 1st time the experience was OK but they were out of the first 3 things we tried to order but what we did end up with was passable and enough to give it a other try. Tonight it started off bad and went to worse. We stood at the hostess stand waiting to either be seated. There was a bartender and 4 patrons at the bar mere steps away who we could clearly see and who could clearly see us but no one greeted us. After about 2 minutes I asked the bartender if we can just sit anywhere. She said yes so we took a booth. Close to 15 minutes went by and no one came to the table. We were literally in the process of gathering our things to leave when the bar tender came and apologized saying "I had a drink order and I have no idea what I'm doing." She was the only staff member in the bar and dining room. Which was fine because aside from the 4 bar patrons my husband and myself were the only 2 people there. I wish we had made the decision to leave 10 seconds sooner because we could have escaped the situation which was about to unfold. My husband asked what is the best beer there and she said and I quote "we are out of all the good ones". So the only beer they had left is no good? Being out of menu items seems to be the theme of this place. We both ordered 1/2 lb burgers cooked medium. When the food arrived my burger was not even a 1/4 lb - no more than 3" across and thin as a cracker. My husband's was much larger. I asked the server if mine was the 1/2lb. She looked like a deer in the headlights and said "I dont know." I then asked if it was a frozen burger patty because it looked terrible. She said no. They are made fresh. OK fine. I took it at face value. We are extremely laid back, patient people so I just accepted my tiny burger as long as I wasn't being charged for the larger one. She came back & said she has accidentally entered mine as the smaller burger & apologized stating the guys at the bar were giving her a hard time. I said "no problem. This one is fine." However that was a lie. It was not fine. Far from it. Both our burgers were burnt & as dry as the aforementioned cracker. How the cook managed to over cook 2 burgers to the exact same degree of hockey puck when one was 1/2 the size of the other is a real feat. Not a single drop of juice, grease or flavor to be found. Honestly the worse burger I have ever had. And I've eaten out of a dumpster behind Carl's Jr. before. We said nothing to the server because she looked completely overwhelmed and on the verge of a break down and I don't want to send her off the deep end so we just accepted our fate. My husband made the joke "at least they can't mess up a salad." Oh, but they can. My house salad was lettuce and a mound of shaved carrots. No tomatoes, no croutons, no cheese, and my ranch dressing was what tasted and appeared to be little more than sour cream with something possibly approaching ranch seasoning but not enough to taste like ranch dressing. I took one bite and pushed it aside. In the 6 years my husband and I have been together I can't recall a time I have ever seen him not clean his plate. Until today. He didnt even eat half his burger. I choked down 2 bites of mine and could do no more. We brought the salad home to use the lettuce for the BLTs we ended up making for dinner when we got home. I will say the blooming onion was great. If the other food & service had been as good this would be a 5 star review. The fact that this place is running out of menu items all the time implies there are customers coming in to eat the food. It seems hard to believe there are any folks left willing to come here. I don't understand why one would choose to go into the restaurant business if they have so little care for guest experience and food quality and cannot properly cook even a humble burger. I always root for the underdog but Sadly, I don't think this place will be around much longer.

I went to their soft opening yesterday night. The food was amazing. I ordered the soft pretzel and onion bloom to start. Then I had the mozzarella sandwich and fries for dinner. They had a couple vegetarian things on the menu so that was nice. I also tried the Paul Bunyan beer and it was really good. The service was attentive and friendly, we got checked on numerous times during our visit. The staff made sure to keep the drinks flowing. This place is going to be something special.

Just randomly stopped in today with my wife. Wanted a afternoon beer. We walked in and the place has a really cool pub feel. We sat and the bar and met the owner. Tested a few beers and I settled with the lemon shandy I believe it was called. So good. There was a huge rush over the weekend so the menu was slim due to them being out of a few things but all that does it make me want to come back every time and try everything they have to offer!! Also awesome they sold so much. We had the grilled cheese it was a 3 cheese deal. And it was so good! The owner we spoke to was absolutely a pleasure to talk to and she was more than accommodating and friendly. I think this is our new spot when we want to go out! Thank you!!!!

Loved it! I'm a vegetarian and I'm always excited when there is a creative and delicious vegetarian option. This had a few choices. I had the vegan Thai peanut curry over vegetables and rice. The sauce was great and there was a nice assortment of fresh and perfectly cooked veggies. My husband had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and he loved it. The homemade chips are great. Be sure to get a home-brewed root beer!! The staff are so nice and friendly. Great service. Great meal.

I had originally rated Huron Out very high when we went in for the first time months ago. Tonight we were very disappointed. We ordered takeout. Two burgers, one with FF and one with onion rings. The French fries were more like potato wedges. They tasted good, but super greasy. The onion rings were very thick, like 4 inches. I will insert a picture. Very greasy as well. Not like normal grease from deep fried food. The burgers were okay. Very charred and that took over the whole burgers flavor. The bacon we had on it was chewy and leather like. The lettuce on my burger was brown. We also ordered the pretzels. In the description it said it comes with beer cheese. It did not come with beer cheese. Only the mustard dip.

My wife and I have been to Wiltse's many times in the past before it changed ownership to what it is now and always had a pretty good experience. Now, I would say they are not quite ready for prime time. We were seated and ordered beers while looking over the menu which had 25 to 30 food items including appetizers. Since we hadn't been there before under new ownership we decided to go with "signature dish" advertised at the top of the menu and on the big lighted marquee outside on the road, the Dirty Reuben. We were told by the server that during the week they used it all up and not only didn't they have that, here's a hand written list of the other 8 to 10 items we are out of. So roughly a third of the menu was out of stock. So I ordered the bacon apple sandwich and my wife ordered a mushroom burger. A reasonable time passed and I got the sandwich I ordered and my wife was served a olive burger which she sent back. We both were served our order and it was pretty good. I especially liked mine. Now I don't fault the server, I fault the manager and their lack of training their people. There are so many things wrong with this whole scenario. First, go to the grocery store, pay more and keep your menu, you never, NEVER, don't make the signature menu item when it is advertised as it was. Train your people properly! Really, a handwritten list of things you don't have AFTER someone orders. We might try again someday but with The Mountain and several other eating place within a short drive, there will be no rush. BTW, I tipped the server fully (22% or so), this is not the servers fault.
S. N — Google review
What a great find! First and foremost, the food. The Dirty Reuben is probably the best reuben I’ve ever had. The smokiness of the corned beef is subtle but clear, and the tenderness of the slow cooking lets it melt in your mouth. Fantastic. And so was everything else I had in my two visits. Onion rings the size of a softball, perfectly crunchy and juicy. Fried chicken with legit Nashville heat. Fresh poke packed with flavor. And huge portions. The beer’s outstanding as well, and made in-house, always a plus. And it’s not just beer, they’ve got an awesome selection of ciders and a full bar if that’s your thing. The vibe is old school, intentionally, and it’s awesome, just what you’d pick to go with the atmosphere created by the owners, who’ve done a great job keeping this landmark going while expanding its range of offerings to meet modern tastes. I’d go back here any day. Thanks for taking care of me and all my buddies while we visited town, you guys rock!

We passed you on our way in town, but we turned back around when McDonald's lobby was closed. No regrets stopping in because everyone working was kind and in a good mood. Sometimes you just want to sit at a table to eat vs your car. You know. Our food was hot and scrumptious. We swapped out a pop for the coffee that came with our meal. My daughter ordered an orange juice with her food. No complaints here all good things to say about this stop.

The lady at the speaker continued to cut me off at the speaker, THEN we got held on our order. Waited in the parking lot for 10mins for our order, told the same girl that we didn’t have any straws when she brought our food out, she went back inside to get us some and had an attitude when I asked for straws that she didn’t hand me at the window. She stood inside the doorway talking to a man for a few mins until I finally got annoyed and went inside and got my straws. The real kicker is when I got to work to eat my food before going inside, one of her nice hairs were covering my fries for me. Definitely is not mine, I have a buzzcut and blonde hair. Would NOT reccomend go to McDonald’s. Horrible service terrible food
Shelby — Google review
Every time I come here it’s a 10+ minute wait. And they make you pull around to the front where there is no designated parking for those waiting so then I wait and the confused employee comes out checking every car in the parking lot before they find the right one. I’m just saying if I was first in line in the drive thru then I should get my food first. Quick making fast food an inconvenience by trying to make your times look better for corporate.
Pyro D — Google review
If you want to eat somewhere that looks like you stepped into a back alley this is the place to go. When you step into this place you can immediately see food all over the floor, tables dirty and sticky. You stand there waiting to order the employees just looking at you never asking what you would like. I waited for over 10 minutes and finally walked out the doors. This was my 3rd time giving this place a shot thinking maybe it was just a bad day last time I will give them another shot. The service and experience is the same every time.
Travis M — Google review
20 minutes for 4 whoppers and fries. Employees ingnored indoor patrons for drive through having a good time talking about nonsense. 6 people came in and left as I waited for order. Nobody came to counter to help. Too busy talking about the weekend. Never going back. Need to drug test!
Mo P — Google review
You are best off ordering on the app, they seem understaffed and the wait at the counter was so long we left. If you order on the app the food s ready quickly But the drive thru can be super slow.
Merry L — Google review
First of all, the manager Maddie took my order was very rude. Then she proceeds to walk away from the counter to yell at 2 people in the kitchen. Food was really good after it came out.

I had the brisket whopper meal. I wouldn't order it again. Not that it was bad, more that it isn't good either. Computer system went down, I had to help them figure out what was my food order.

Tourists beware, read the reviews... 100's of single star reviews can't be wrong. Placed a very simple order at 7:30pm having it delivered to the local holiday inn, was told :55 minutes just to be safe. 1:20 minutes later I call back to learn the order was never processed due to lack of address. Worker apologized and promised food. I received 1 large 1 topping, cheese bread and a 2liter at 9:50pm. The I'm sorry I got was a coupon for that location only....I clearly don't live here and would never subject myself to such horrible service and poorly thrown together pie again.
Eric P — Google review
The manager here and staff are very rude and do not have the knowledge how to treat customers. I requested no corn meal on my pizza and the manager made a big deal about it in front of everyone. Made me feel very little. Oscoda Michigan needs training how to treat customers and better training on how to make pizza. Will not order here again till things change. What's real sad I travel from Lincoln Michigan to get bad service.
Jayson H — Google review
Avoided ordering from this place for almost a year because it always seems underwhelming. Saddly decided to give it a try tonight due to getting home super late. Got 3 regular subs. 2 were steak/cheese/mushrooms with 2x/3x cheese and 2x mushrooms on both. Was reminded why we dont order from here. There was more toppings on the 3rd sub, with no extras on it, then the two we payed for bonus toppings on. Not even 1/2 a handful of mushrooms combined.....
Drew T — Google review
Ordered online at 7:39, said it would be done at approximately 7:55, when we went to check at 8 pm they said they couldn’t even see our order and it would be an hour or two, employee working kept asking if we wanted to apply as they were hiring all positions, I have a job I literally just wanted the pizzas I already paid for, left without any food and didn’t get an order finished notification until 9:18, absolutely insane. I’ve never in my life had to walk out on an online order because it was taking so long. The employees child was also running around in the lobby the entire time I was there
Miranda B — Google review
We ordered a Cajun Howie bread and it tasted so much like cinnamon - it was obvious they made the sweet Howie bread right before and didn’t even bother to slightly rinse the pan. Also the crust seasoning was so overdone it was like a 1/2 inch thick on top of the crust.
Julie M — Google review
I got some pizzas today for my movie party. Deep dish, veggie, and stuffed crust pizza. The pizzas are always good. Never had a bad experience with them. They offer different flavored crust also, I got ranch and onions. They remind me when i used to live in the city, pizza hut.
Anthony N — Google review
The family likes this place. Their onion garlic flavored crust is good and the steak n cheese sub was the best sub I ever had. The bread was made from pizza dough I guess instead of a hoagie or a submarine.

KFC, the iconic restaurant chain famous for its buckets of crispy fried chicken, offers a delightful array of combo meals and sides that cater to every craving. With friendly service and a clean atmosphere, it's an ideal stop for travelers. Many patrons enjoy their delicious fries and economical meal options, like the $5 deal featuring two pieces of chicken with mashed potatoes and a biscuit. While some have experienced mix-ups with orders lately, the overall experience remains positive thanks to quick service and helpful staff.
Stopped on our way up north. Bought lunch to take to the beach. This was a nice place to go because everyone had two restaurants to pick from. The place was clean and employees helpful. Had. $5 meal. 2 chicken 🍗 and a thigh mash potatoes and a biscuit. Economical enough for me. Also serves taco bell so you can have more choices for the family.

If you're looking for good fried chicken that crunches when you bight is cooked thoroughly and tastes good AVOID THIS PLACE. the chicken i got tonight looked disgusting I pulled off skin that was so soggy and greasy it's disgusting. Fine dining restaurant
Tait's Bill of Fare is a charming restaurant located along the picturesque River Road Scenic Byway, offering a delightful dining experience. The menu features a variety of dishes, including a rib sampler and perch entree, accompanied by flavorful cocktails and wine selections. Guests can enjoy a full meal that includes bread, soup, salad, and sides with their entrees. The restaurant exudes a cozy atmosphere with attentive staff members providing excellent service.
My family and I love Tait's Bill of Fare. This summer we have gone many times and everything is delicious because it is real healthy tasty food. We have ordered the shrimp, the ribs, the prime rib, the salmon salad, the chicken, the perch it is all wonderful. My brother said it best...."it doesn't matter what you get it will be wonderful." We are going again tonight and it is a nice atmosphere and the timing of the courses is thoughtful. The drinks are good and not watered down. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. No, I do not know Bill or anyone who works here. My mom lives in Oscoda in the summer and we have been coming up for years but really didn't go out to restaurants all that much but have found our one...our home...and good food where we can take our time and connect with each other and enjoy good food. Give it a shot and enjoy hometown goodness without being rushed.

The key lime cheesecake they were serving at the time was to die for! It was so good! I had the small portion salmon dinner and it was the perfect portion for me. The breaded salmon was cooked to perfection. I had room for dessert. LoL Tait’s is located right in town, making the location quite convenient. There’s plenty of parking available. The server was friendly and knew the menu very well. The owner came out and greeted all the guests at each table. We called dibs on the last piece of chocolate mint cheesecake and the owner set the cake aside for us until we were ready for dessert. This is a restaurant I would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.
MJ H — Google review
Great food, great service. The owner himself stopped by our table a few times to check on things.
Chris L — Google review
My daughter and I decided to try this restaurant during the week. The owner seated us and checked on tables shortly after we were seated. The young man who brought the water and bread was very nice and attentive. That's about the only good things I can say. None of the waiters approached our table. They stood across the room, looked and pointed like they were discussing who should wait on the table. We watched people who came in after us have one of the waiters go to their tables. After almost 25 minutes of seeing the wait staff look at our table (a few times), talk to each other, then turn away, we decided to leave. It was actually my daughter's (who has worked as a waitress and has tons of patience and grace for those in the restaurant industry) decision to leave. At that point, she said that she wouldn't be able to not show her irritation if we stayed.
Kathy A — Google review
Our favorite place! Always fresh and delicious food, and fantastic service. Reasonably priced for the high quality meal and experience with many special touches. Soo many gluten free options including a dedicated gf fryer! Best ribs ever! Very family friendly too. We love the speakeasies, live music, new brunch specials, and other fun events as well.

Food was good. Several servers at one table, would have preferred one server for better service. Felt as though I were being passed around because I was dining alone even tho I am an exceptional tipper and easy. Pricey, but food was good. Quiet. Might return.

Stopped in on the recommendation of a few family members. Got seated right away on a Saturday evening and our waitress was absolutely amazing. She knew all about the menu and gave us excellent suggestions! The 4 people in our party ordered the COD, Steak, Chicken, & Ribs. Everyone's meal was entirely homemade and so delicious that we all ended up sharing. We also ordered dessert, you have to try the lemon & blueberry cheesecake as it is simply incredible. The owner stopped by our table to check on us twice. He really cares that you have a great meal and even cracks a few jokes. So all in all....... 10/10 will vist again! Thank you to the owner and staff for a very memorable meal!!

G's Pizzeria & Deli is a local chain known for its casual setting and diverse menu featuring burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and flatbreads. The restaurant has been a favorite spot for comfort food for many years, offering delicious options like cheese bread, French onion soup, and antipasto salad. Customers appreciate the homemade dressings and accommodating options for non-meat eaters.
Hubby and I stopped for pizza on our last day of vacation. Our server was Michelle. She was pretty attentive and very sweet. Hubby ordered a build your own pizza, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and jalepeno, and I ordered a build my own pizza, feta, spinach and roasted garlic. Both pizzas were very good. Will definitely recommend G's Pizzeria & Deli. I think this was my favorite spot for food in Oscoda.

Went in for a late lunch right after rush, Got the HeMan pocket Pizza ( their creative name take of a Calzone) Delicious! Brandy was a great waitress and a pleasant conversationist at that. Large menu, not just Pizza, but Flatbreads, burgers/grinders/subs, Salad ( a salad bar, too) Varied Apps, and a selection of various disparate entrees that I will definitely be trying the Lasagna of, next time I come, which will be soon enough. Highly reccomend👍🔱

I was in Oscoda for the first time Thursday 7/10/25 and ordered a takeout pepperoni pizza. It looked like even though they were busy, the pizza was right on time and the service was great! The pizza was good and I enjoyed it on a beach, too!

The margarita pizza i recieved looks nothing like the photo. No basil. Basically a tomato pizza with almost no mozz. I also paid for ranch to be added to the pizza and they just gave me a side of ranch which was frustrating considering a side is cheaper than the 2.50 i paid for them to add it. Crust was good but overall dissapointing especially for the price. Wouldn't go back.

The feel of this pizza place reminds me of the mid nineties when I was growing up. From the stained glass lamp shades over the tables to the seats that are actually cushioned because they want you to stay, it was great before we even ordered. The breadsticks (we got the mozzarella for an additional $1.50) were phenomenal. You can tell they make their sauce by hand. We got the Godfather and the meat lover's pizzas. Both were amazing, though I have to say, the Godfather was PERFECT for me. All in all, great service, great food, great place!

The cooks are amazing. There should be a place when we call in an order so we can tip them. To be honest I would be more inclined to tip if I knew my tip was going to my cook. The food is always hot and amazing. The service you receive from the wait staff is terrible. Please add a place for cook's tips. Thanks! They deserve it more!!!

This is our second time going to G's (we live several hours away) and as before, the food and service were great. The fried pickles had a wonderful crunch and a little kick of spice. The dough on the pizza is delicious (texture and flavor). Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We will be back!

I just had the Farmers Omelette, Hash Browns, and Wheat Toast. It was pretty busy in there and I was able to get a table right away. The waitress brought me a drink while I looked over the menu and came back a couple minutes later for my order. My food came pretty fast considering how many people were in there and everything was great. Service was spot on. I would recommend Mama's Country Kitchen if your in the area and you're looking for a good breakfast.

The food was not like Mama's? Average food. No sign at door, didn't know to seat ourselves or wait for someone. Kinda confusing. The owner/cook?, and a couple workers were kinda arguing where it could be overheard? The waiter girls were great though, kept on top of us for sure👌

Arrived at noon… only serving breakfast? They advertise lunch, brunch… this was disappointing. Cold food, frozen "fresh" strawberries. Double billed items. Waitress was kinda polite when she had to be bothered however didn't want to be. I'd find somewhere better to go.

Mama’s Kitchen was a disappointment for my family. Maybe lunch just isn’t their specialty, but the food really missed the mark. My chicken pita was dry and completely lacking in flavor, and the only thing anyone at our table enjoyed were my son’s pancakes. On top of that, we had to listen to a loud argument coming from the kitchen, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. The service was also slower than expected. Overall, not the experience we were hoping for.

Took an hour and a half to get our food, there were 5 in our party. The food was cold. I saw our food sitting on the counter and instead if bringing out what was done the waitress let it set there waiting for the other meals for our party. 20% gratuity for a party of 5 or more, that's BS. 2 of us should have sat in a different area so the wait staff had to work harder. They charge extra if you share your meal, more BS. We will not be going back that's for sure. Avoid this restaurant if at all possible.
Wendie D — Google review
Use to come here almsot every weekend during the summer. Now they charge gratuity for 5 ppl. They charge for as they say "sharing". This place use to be a decent place with small town feels, to eat with lovely people and staff. Now they just charge for anything they can. The food has gone down hill, was even told their scrambled eggs are meant to be runny unless you ask for "hard scrambled". Never have I heard that before! Management needs to reevaluate. We won't be back.

The Ausable Inn Riverview Restaurant and Sports Bar is a highly recommended American restaurant located in Northern Michigan. The establishment offers a variety of dishes, including Deep Fried Ravioli, French Dip, Grouper Sandwich, Green Olive Burger, and Mac & Cheese. Customers can enjoy their meals while taking in the great views of the river from their large outdoor table. The attentive service provided by Noah adds to the enjoyable dining experience.
My extended family planned a Memorial Day weekend trip to Oscoda and was worried about finding a restaurant to accommodate 20+ people. I was able to make a reservation the morning of our planned arrival and was delighted my entire group could even be seated together on a holiday weekend! The service was friendly and efficient on a busy Friday evening (thank you, Michaela and Noah)! Everyone in attendance also loved their food, with the brisket mac and cheese being particularly popular. I'm so happy to have found this awesome restaurant and look forward to returning when I get back to this area again!

I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed with the Au Sable Inn. Last night my girlfriend and I were on the river doing a little fishing from the boat when we were starting to get hungry and thought about heading in to go eat when I thought "Lets see if the Au Sable Inn will let us get a to go order and bring it to the break wall so we can pick it up from the boat". After a short call and about a 10 minute wait we were picking up our food on the river! Great experience, extremely convenient, and delicious food! Also, shout out to the server Emily that brought the food out to us, we appreciate you!

I ate here with my family and was definitely impressed by this place! We have been coming to The Office L & G for years, appreciating the food and service. However more recently it's been a disappointment, even more so today, prompting this review. After placing our order (beef nachos), it took over a 1/2 hour for delivery, even though they weren't busy. We had requested shredded cheese, versus cheese sauce, which our waitress had stated could be a substitution. The nacho arrived at room temperature with cold shredded cheese on top. After a few bites of frustration, I requested if my nacho could be heated. Another 8 minute wait for this, along with a bowl of lettuce, seeing they had forgotten to put any lettuce on the nacho. No apologies were made. We felt that we were inconveniencing our waitress by any of these requests made and left feeling disappointed, deciding to stay away.

Hole in the wall bar, which are some of my favorite places. Unfortunately the bartenders and waitress looked like they just rolled out of bed. They wear sweatpants and tee shirts 4 sizes too big. very little socializing, definitely did not make us feel welcomed. My wife and I decided to have 1 drink and leave. The place has potential, if the owner wants it to.

We ordered a carry out, that was to be ready in 25-30 min. We got there about 40 min. after ordering and had to wait another 20 minutes to get food. Stopped in after several recommendations from family members and a great video via UTR Michigan on YouTube. A guy with the best mustache! I got the crispy tacos which were amazing. We also had the potato cups which were surprisingly good. We weren't sure about them just from the menu description BUT they were top notch! Mozzarella sticks were great. I wish we had room for dessert but they give you so much food! Service was so friendly and attentive. I think a small surge in guests the day after Xmas took them off guard but everyone could not have been friendlier! My father in-law used to service this place in the 70s and my wife was there with her family about 30 yrs ago as a kid. Very neat history through all the owners and they have the best Xmas decorations!

Visited this place twice, 1st time I loved it so much I drove today over an hour to have a meal today. 1st, I waited 10 minutes to be seated because the sign said to, only to learn they hadn't moved it and I could sit any table. Then I order enough food to be able to carry out, 3 Enchiladas and Chili Rellenos. What's brought to my table is a single enchilada with CHILI ON IT! Im then told they don't have chili Rellenos (even though it's on menu) . I basically was then served a single enchilada, nothing else. No rice, beans, Nada. What a joke. Great decoration in dining room is NOT enough for me to return again.

We visited on October 11, 2025 at 3:20pm. We had a server who was very kind. However, my party of 3 (visiting from out of town) could tell they were short-staffed. We tried to extend a lot of grace because we had heard that they were under new ownership. The table next to us had dirty dishes on it for nearly our entire time there, and it took quite a while for other tables to be cleared as well. That was a little off putting. It took a while for our waitress to take our drink orders and refills were slow. Again, she was kind, but they could have used at least 2 more servers. I had the Deluxe Nachos (mini size) and they were okay, but not anything super special or anything to write home about. One of my friends ordered the Mexican Potato Cups and there were no black olives on them like the menu said. When she asked the waitress about it, she said it doesn't come with olives, but she would bring a side of olives. We looked up the menu online and it does say it comes with olives. Also, the menu says "seasoned beef", but the beef had very little flavor and didn't taste seasoned at all. The side of guacamole came in the tiniest container that was half full and we were charged around $3.00 for it. Literally, was about 2 bites worth. The water also tasted funny. We were underwhelmed. We hope they're able to figure out their staffing situation because it has potential. The menu is HUGE! perhaps cutting down on the options would help the kitchen staff a little.

A long time ago Desi’s was known for their Mexican food. Probably more so than the other meals offered but everything my family and I ever had was very good. The owner, Desi, was of Mexican descent . On Sunday evening Desi’s was busy but had several open tables. Service was slow due to not enough waitstaff. The waitress we had was not efficient in that she would walk by several times and not ask if we needed anything, which we did, and had to interrupt her for service. The biggest let down was the food, we had tacos and a burrito dinner. All was lukewarm at best. Also, my experience at the old Desi’s or at any restaurant that serves Mexican food, they would supply salsa for tacos, burritos, or most any other Mexican dish and none was provided. We hadn’t been there in years because Desi’s son took over after his father passed and the food quality had gone way down. We knew the restaurant had been sold a couple of years ago and decided to try it again hoping the food quality had improved. Sorry to say, it has not. Miss Desi himself, a lot.

This place is freggin’ awesome! Best Mexican food in the area but I haven’t tried many because Mexican food joints are scarce and expensive. But my friend assured me this was the place for it. I got scared again when I found out the young white waitress didn’t know what a Michelada (beer and tomato clam sauce. I know it sounds gross! It isn’t.). So I ordered the fish sandwich as we are near many many many lakes and that felt safe. My buddy ordered nachos to share and the Mexican me forgot English for a bit. Anyways Desi’s reminded me of my favorite restaurant as a child combined with my favorite dive bar as an adult. Please visit!

Nice dinner out with friends. Food was not authentic Mexican and fish dinner seemed to be that from frozen food. My dinner had liquid cheese poured over everything except the hard taco, which wasn’t listed on the dinner I chose. The taco shell seemed to be stale not crunchy. The drinks were delightful and the decor was really kool!

Solid three here. Each year we find ourselves stopping here for the bakery and some breakfast. The bakery always delivers some good treats. From the cherry turnovers to the cheese danish. You will enjoy the smells and the treats. Onto the restaurant. Here's where things turn. Emphasis on speed and attentiveness is NOT a thing here. I know going in we will be a while. But this time or trip over two visits. Just were noticeably off key. Waiting for drinks once seated. Waiting to give orders. Waiting to get food. Waiting to be checked on. Waiting for the bill. It's just gotten to long. Breakfast food is not hard and pretty quick to get out the kitchen. However. There's always a bottleneck issue here. Simple skillets are just alright. The special dough god toast is just alright anymore. Bagel sandwiches have gotten a bit pricey. If it's worker related. Then make changes. If it is management related. Then again make changes. But honestly. Food is three star. Service and speediness is less by far. We will be camping again at the end of the month near by. But will be exploring other dining options for our morning commutes. Gotta work on speed from the time people sit down to getting them out the door. No one wants an hour and a half breakfast endeavor.

I am from Europe and expect bread to be always superb. The Bavarian Bakery sign caught my attention - so ... Finally after some days I had chance to come into the bakery. The bakery hours made a visit difficult. The hard working guys here only work only till 2pm !? Really? Europe would be laughing at the hours of operation. (With this timing and going from there profit only way to go out of business). So about superb fresh tasty bread: nothing even close - it was dry, absent taste and it went right to the trash. Desserts? Guys, go to Bavaria or any Europe bakery and try their products! - nothing in common. I taste only sugar, sugar and only sugar here, pity, sad. RIP.

More lousy service in Oscoda, stood at the "Please wait to be Seated" sign for about 10 minutes before I was acknowledged by the hostess, from across the room she, as she continued walking said I'll be with you in a couple of minutes, as two large groups of people turned around and left. Five minutes later I was seated. The hostess asked for my drink order and quickly brought me a half glass of tepid tap water with no ice. Before she ran off I asked for an omelet and she replied you have to wait for the waitstaff. So another 10 minutes later the waitress stops and takes my order. Another 10 minutes another staff slaps my omelet on the table and disappears. Waitress slows down one time while I'm eating and asks, in passing, about the food, passes by another five minutes later and backhands the bill on the table while she was taking another order. The older gentleman running the cash register took my bill of $10.07 I gave him $10.12, he hands me 3 cents back, not worth the argument! Oh I added the pepper on the omelet!

I stopped here to get donuts on my way out of town. The restaurant is old and tired. Currently they are only open Thursday through Sunday, so don't expect to get donuts any other day of the week. With that being said, I came here on a Friday and kind of expected that if they're only open 4 days a week, their donuts would be fresh every day. I ended up getting a few glazed twists and some iced donuts, all of which were dry and most likely days old.

Wish I had read the reviews before my friends and I came to this place. Came to oscoda for a getaway, a local said this place was good. But he was WRONG. They were not busy at all. This place from start to finish had HORRIBLE service. Hostess sat us down walked away, came back took our drink order, dropped drinks off and then waited 15 mins before I had to flag somebody down to actually take our order. Did not ask us for any refills were needed. Food came and it was cold. We ordered the skillet witch had Undercooked bacon and hashbrowns (in all meals) Western omelette tasted like a cold hot pocket. Waitress FINNALY came back over and I complained skillet had undercooked items which then the old lady rolled her eyes, didn't say anything and walked away and started to attend to other tables. Place looked old, dirty and gloomy. DO NOT COME HERE. DO NOT EAT THE FOOD. LOOK AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Tucked inside/next to the ARCO convenience store - behind the pumps - is Mancino's. You will NOT see the sign from the road, it's 55 mph, after all. Clean, open, well laid-out. All tables are low-tops seating 3 - 10. The young woman behind the counter was very polite and good-natured, too. Seems the kitchen is in need of better ventilation & cooling. A box fan blowing into the back is working to make it more tolerable but provides most of the noise inside. It's not loud, but nearby conversations might have to elevate A big selection of sandwiches, grinders, pizza & pasta plus salads, and a kid's menu. After reading the description and asking a few questions, I had to try the Cuban panini. One of the best Cubans I've had since departing the Tampa area. I'd definitely have it again.

Omg, what a treat!!! Not like your typical Mancinos, all the meats are smoked fresh and the menu is totally different. Ordered the beef brisket grinder and was amazed. Freshly smoked in house and super tender. Piled high on their Freshly baked bread, then smothered in a special melty cheese blend and BBQ sauce. Simple yet elegant!! Tried the baby back ribs as well. Flavor was great, not over salty and had a decent bite to them but not fall off the bone tender. Smoke flavor was on point. Keep up the great work!!!!!!! Will be back soon .. Thanks

I had the Pad Pak (without mushrooms) and fried rice. I also tried one of my friend's pot stickers and everything was delicious! Both of my friends who went witg me loved their meals as well. Visited October 11, 2025 around 7:10pm.

Small dining area but clean. Egg drop soup was loaded with cabbage. Crab Rangoon had approximately 1 teaspoon of crab filling. These were disappointing but the fried rice and chicken were good. Total meal $22

I recently ordered take out for me and the kids and the food disappointed. The food was bland and lacked flavor. We ordered Pad Thai, Lo Mein and fried rice. I’ve had better tasting frozen Chinese/Thai than the food this restaurant serves.

Ordered Generals's Chicken, take out. Food was ready in the time stated. I tried to eat the chicken and it was stringy, tough and sub-standard. I Threw it in the garbage. Not going there again. The egg rolls were okay as was the fried rice.

Went to Oscoda to pick up my kiddo from camp and stumbled upon this place. Had the soup and fried rice. Honestly feel it is some of the best Chinese food that I've ever had. When I return to Oscoda next year stopping here will be part of my trip.

I was there 2 days ago and ordered takeout and I received the wrong 😕 food I ordered mongolian beef which wasn't what I got some beef and onions mongolian beef doesn't have that type of onions it has green onions and I also ordered extra pork in my fryed rice didn't get that either wouldn't be so bad if I didn't pay extra for it couldn't call back that night time I got home 30 min away they were closed very disappointing I been waiting and didn't get what I ordered

She was so wonderful , went above and beyond for my family. Just real kindness

The food was pretty good. They don’t seem to skimp on the toppings so that is good. I usually order on the app and most of the time it’s accurate. I think the thing that bothers me the most is when ordering sauce they only fill the cups halfway. For the price it’s the cheapest way to feed a family.
Jeremy P — Google review
This location is pretty good for a Little Caesars, order your pizza before hand and it usually makes a big difference in quality over a walk in
Kyle C — Google review
Pizza, bread sticks and Italian cheese bread was good. But the sauce cups were less than half full. 3 crazy breads with sauce, ran out of sauce before opening the last crazy bread.
Joe M — Google review
A year later, trying this pizza one more time. Called my pizza and crazy bread order in for pick up, asked that it be cooked well done. The gal on the line didn’t give me much confidence, she couldn’t answer basic questions without asking someone in the background. Home 5 minutes away, I open the box doughy pizza and bread and it was cold. Probably a hot and ready they wanted to get rid of. This place is run by a bunch of kids who don’t care. No more chances!

Tried to call in a drive thru pickup at 940 pm. They told me I am unable to order after 9 pm due to closing at 10 pm. I initially was on door dash and thought maybe I should just call the store, cancelled my doordash thoughts and verified my wife's order instead before calling, which doordash would've allowed 10 minutes prior but come to find out would've been refused, doordash is a pay before in our area so I would've been waiting for my money back, so I'm glad I got refused prior to ordering. On the way to McDonald's, Little Caesars drive through ordering is open til 10pm. But I didn't want the liar to make our food angry, so I ate different garbage food instead. At least they are willing to take my order, Mcdonalds wins fastfood! My only question is, why is the store open until 10pm, when you cannot after 9 pm. You need to change store open times plz. I get the lobby closes at 9 pm. But drive through pickup, over the phone pickup, taking orders time. Yet doordash order taking time is open later.

Went there and had lunch with my mother it was a clean inside and the employees were friendly although the pizza cups we got all of them were quite underdone. Although we went there multiple times and it's always been good that was a first.

Hot and ready is never ready . Last 3 visits was told 15 minute wait. That's includes the lunch special being there at 1.

Up North Family Grill is a popular spot, especially during lunch hours. Despite the crowd and potential wait times, visitors are pleasantly surprised by unique menu items like the Potato Kegs. These oversized, loaded potato tots have left a lasting impression on many diners. The restaurant's terrific food and wonderful service make it a favorite dining spot for many, with some wishing they were open later than 3pm to enjoy their meals even more often.
I love this place and dine here as often as I can. The food is terrific and the service is wonderful. My favorite place for breakfast by far, I only wish they were open later than 3pm.
Heather L — Google review
We went there for lunch last Friday & it was quite crowded. With only one waitress & a crowd the wait was long, but I was very pleasantly surprised by an item I had not encountered before, Potato Kegs. The best way to describe these: an oversized, loaded potato tot. I liked these so much that I’m returning for more.

Cream was warm and curdled for coffee. Waitress was rushed and short like the customers were a burden. Food was decent but my wife got sick from the cream. Never going here again.

New Name same dirty restaurant. Food simple stay home and open a can and get same taste. Everything just plain tasting. bread on sandwiches usually stale. Same or higher than G's and G's soo much better in EVERY WAY

Passing through town and found this little gem. The staff is extremely nice and welcoming. The food was A+ and the service was top notch. Will be back again!

Sassy’s is a very cute cafe that’s family run. I had the biscuits and gravy and my husband had pancakes. The biscuits and gravy were delicious, and the biscuits were so light and fluffy, the meal didn’t feel heavy like other versions I’ve had. I “stole” pieces of my husband’s pancakes, and they were so delicious, I could have eaten them plain, without butter or syrup. Our server was kind and knowledgeable - and part of the family who owns Sassy’s. We live 50 minutes to an hour away from Sassy’s, but when we head back to Oscoda, we’ll be stopping at Sassy’s again!

Amazing service! Super friendly....food was great I will definitely come bak!

I got the Sausage Biscuit & Gravy with a side of Hash Browns and an Egg over Medium. The Sausage Biscuit & Gravy were good, the Hash Browns cooked the way I asked for, and the Egg over Medium was cooked perfectly. All my food was hot and I didn't have to wait long for it. I have no complaints about any of the food. My server was polite, and quick, and checked to make sure everything was alright plenty. The establishment and the restroom were clean. Have to say Thank you to the lady for the compliment. Kinda made my day before 8am. I'll have to stop in again.

The most perfect mom and pop shop. Food was fast and delicious. Exactly what we asked for when it came to any modifications. Top notch customer service Definitely will recommend to anyone in the Oscoda area
Hay L — Google review
It's got old diner vibes. It's decently priced and on the larger portion size. Only downfall is the cans of soda instead of fountain, but a good variety of different drinks are available.

Just the best Breakfast in Oscoda. The Breakfast Burrito smothered in gravy was YUMM! Heard their Smashed double cheeseburger is deeelicious! Customer Service is fantastic!

Good food, but very noisy. Missed every 3rd word of conversation. Needs marmalade jam.

This diner is was a great find! I’m from southern Michigan up visiting for the weekend and was looking for a nice breakfast place. I was very impressed with the atmosphere, all of the staffs’ customer service (especially Dani, she was phenomenal!) and the food! I highly recommend this diner and I will be going back when I visit again!
Chelse D — Google review
This diner was amazing. The staff was wonderful and the food was fantastic. Now they are only open until 2 pm. So if you want a sandwich or breakfast you need to get there. Trust me you won’t be disappointed. We were up there on vacation and just stumbled across it when looking for somewhere for breakfast other than mamma kitchen. Which is ok but nowhere close to the service and awesome food you will receive here. Don’t miss out go check it out. Jeff&Susan K

If you’re in Oscoda go visit the Blue collar restaurant. The food is awesome. They make it with such care and they’re always kind when we go there and some waitresses are very kind and good at their job always keep your coffee filled and a smile on their face, we love eating up north here at the blue collar restaurant. A little small, but it is really worth the wait for A great meal. Theresa & Bill PS Rob The owner is always very kind.

We loved Dudley's and Sassy's, but I think Blue Collar is our favorite! Our group got chocolate chip pancakes, veggie skillet, and Robs chicken and waffles. Everything was delicious. Chicken and waffles is one of my favorite dishes and Robs knocks it out of the park.

Absolutely the best breakfast and lunch place in Oscoda!!! Great food, fast service and your coffee cup never drops below half. It’s a small, cozy diner, but packs a huge punch with the quality and flavor of the food.
