Beach
Nestled between two private marinas, Zorn Park Beach is a charming municipal beach that offers a delightful escape for families and beachgoers alike. Located near the picturesque Harbor Springs waterfront, this small yet inviting spot features clear, shallow waters fed by artesian springs—though be prepared for slightly cooler temperatures than the surrounding bay. The soft sandy bottom makes it perfect for wading and playing in the water, while amenities like lifeguards on duty ensure safety during your visit.
Excellent park with a nice sandy beach and great swimming area. There are several picnic tables in the grass, we brought sandwiches from up the street and sat here and enjoyed the view. You'll see in my photos that dogs are allowed on the beach, leashed, during certain times, and the wording is a bit odd but I believe it means they can swim unleashed. These signs are from June 2022.
Mark S — Google review
Nice park. Beach gets a little bit crowded in summer months. Lots of places to sit for lunch in the grass or at picnic tables or by the cannon. There is a very nice water fountain where you can drink or fill water bottles. There are lifeguards on duty during the summer months and there is a raft for swimming.
Mike V — Google review
Very pretty and calming, went during the off season on a weekday. Could’ve sat there all day. Video is of a spot up the street, but still just as nice.
Carl S — Google review
Not a crowded beach usually, and not much street traffic either. A quiet beach to relax on a weekend afternoon. The sand is clean but the bathrooms could be better though.
Obair S — Google review
Lovely for an afternoon/evening walk.... Ps. The water is really cold 🥶 😄 You'll enjoy it though😃😆
Teacher W — Google review
Wonderful, clean, perfect swimming. Even a raft to swim to!
Marian G — Google review
Cute beach. Wife was happy walking in the water as we stopped while passing by. We were the only ones there at the time, less a pair of ducks that walked right up to us looking for food, then proceeded to take a brief nap next to me. Probably a lot busier in the summer.
Phil T — Google review
Great day at the beech here and wandered the streets afterwards for some souvenirs and ice cream.

Scenic spot
The Tunnel of Trees in Harbor Springs is a stunning drive offering breathtaking views of the water, sailboats, lush vegetation, and the beach. While many areas along the route are private property, there are designated beach access points and pull-offs for visitors to enjoy. Whether it's summer or fall, this scenic road offers beautiful sights such as explosive fall colors in October and picturesque views of the lake.
I love coming here to see the Fall colors, it's so peaceful. I like to stop along at Good Hart at the General store, Primitive Images and A Studio to look around. There are a couple of tents outside that sell Apple Cider, Honey and Syrup. Primitive Images has the best Caramel Latte, yum.
Heather C — Google review
Nice quite drive. The road is narrow, two vehicles can barely pass each other going opposite directions. Would recommend starting at the north end and traveling south. RVs will have a difficult time if there is any traffic and will hit branches of the trees, so I WOULD NOT recommend drive one through there.
Rick T — Google review
Do NOT follow google directions to turn on 2nd street or Glenn dr to get to Tunnel of trees! Follow 119 north. The road will become a wide single lane. Be Curteous! Everyone can get through and be patient. The colors were not at their peak.
Kimberly ( — Google review
Right time right place, advise that you travel it from north to south as the sun will be in front of you, popping the fall colors. Detour experienced near the southern part of

20 miles of tunnel of trees along the Michigan Lake Michigan shore. So beautiful!
Daniel K — Google review
Narrow roadway and not really a tunnel, except for a few small areas. Road is so curvy in spots you have to really pay attention to ensure safety. Would never do this again, even with full tree color change.
TL C — Google review
It was an absolutely stunning view. I had found the perfect place with an amazing view, so I had gotten a beautiful view all weekend. I look forward to seeing it again.
Riley M — Google review
Second weekend in October and it’s all still mostly green. Only a super small portion is an actual tunnel of trees, the rest mainly has trees on one side. Wish we would have known it was under construction and you have to turn and take a detour so you can’t even see all of it right now. Definitely not worth the trip.

Small Batch At The Cupola is a unique dining experience located in an actual dome overlooking the downtown area of Harbor Springs, MI. This hip spot offers hand-crafted cocktails and globally inspired appetizers made with local ingredients. The restaurant operates on limited hours from Thursday to Saturday, offering a refreshing stop just outside the downtown area. Visitors praise the diverse menu catering to various tastes and appreciate the fusion of high-quality food and art.
As a kid I got to enjoy The Cupola Room quite a bit when Nancy and Dale ran it. I have a lot of fond memories of that food. So I'm overjoyed that not only is it still around but the owners that took it over put out phenomenal food on par and the experience is still wonderful. Make sure you always make it a point to come here when you're in Harbor.

This is a AMAZING! It’s eclectic and whimsical! The serve was prompt and she really took care of us! The food was amazing! I had the Cali Dreaming and from now on all other avocado toasts have to compare to this!

This is the best brunch place ever! The food tastes as good as it looks, and the house is even prettier. The boutique next door also carries some of their baked goods, which are equally awesome.

My husband and I came here for breakfast on our anniversary weekend trip and were completely blown away by everything. The ambiance, the service and omg the food! The yabba dabba do French toast and the on a roll breakfast sandwich were equally amazing. The aesthetic here is so charming, and everyone was so kind. We made a reservation to come back tomorrow morning before we head back downstate!

Some of the best breakfast/lunch food I’ve had in Michigan, an absolute must if you’re in the area. Wonderful family fun business, super friendly, welcoming and delicious. Great for families or couples, couldn’t decide what to have off of the menu as everything sounded wonderful! Wishing these guys many successful years in business!

*A must stop in Harbor Springs* This place has easily some of the best food in all of northern Michigan. If you are in Petoskey/Harbor Springs area and thinking about trying the Small Batch, just do it and thank me later! We truly enjoyed our weekend in Harbor Springs with its wonderful small town atmosphere. There’s many great places to shop in Harbor Springs - with several shops geared for art lovers - but when it came to finding unique and beautiful art pieces, this store was our favorite. The round glass birch tree piece we purchased there looks great in our home.
Mark D — Google review
Do you like delicious smelling candles, silver jewelry, and handmade artwork? If you do, Hanni is the shop for you! Their selection of soy candles blew my mind. They had a fresh baked baguette candle that truly smelled just like a bakery! I bought a lovely silver Michigan charm for my charm bracelet and a sweet smelling green apple candle. The shopkeeper was very sweet and helpful as well. I would highly recommend popping by.

Lots of local art. Petosky stones, pottery, jewelry, cutting boards, glass art, folk art. Very nice quality and variety.

Went here with my sister & my nieces a few days ago, staff said nothing, saw one of the workers nudge the other worker when we were looking by the counter like we were going to steal or something! Guarantee me & my sister make way more money by ourselves than the two ladies working there! Will NEVER shop there! We went to Little Traverse Tikeworks & the lady there was super friendly & we bought several items!

Hanni Gallery offers wonderful local jewelry and art. My favorite necklace is from there and the customer service is top notch! ❤️

I got some really cute pieces here. An awesome glass vase in a beautiful orange color, a neat driftwood hanging item that was handmade in michigan, and a few cute magnets. This store was very nice and affordable.

Movie theater
Harbor Springs Lyric Theatre, located in downtown Harbor Springs, is a charming movie theater that opened its doors in 2016. It offers a variety of classic and popular films for all ages to enjoy. The theater features two smaller cozy auditoriums and one larger one with captivating galaxy ceiling lights that both kids and adults love. Additionally, it provides limited selections of wine and beer along with the traditional popcorn and candy.
We are visiting from NY and this was our first time at Lyric. I must say this was the most adorable and well kept movie theater we have ever been to. The staff was so friendly and the theater has such charm. I highly recommend this theater for anyone looking for a wonderful movie experience! Can’t wait to go back the next time we are in Michigan!
Glenda V — Google review
Cutest small town theater i have ever had the pleasure of attending. There are small lights on the ceiling of the theater that twinkle like stars, but not in a distracting way. Overall it matches the small town feel of a great place like Harbor Springs.
YoostaBeYooper — Google review
Fantastic small theater experience. Comfortable seating. Good popcorn and snack variety.
Gerald J — Google review
What a great venue to see a movie. We had a date night and wanted to go to a small theater. This was excellent! It was clean, offered a good selection of snacks and beverages. The movie was crisp and audio great. The seats were comfortable and lots of leg room. We will be returning for future movie nights!
Jim N — Google review
This modern vintage theater was awesome to screen Deadpool and Wolverine. It’s small/boutique compared to most theaters I have been in. You can select your seats online which I love. Popcorn is delicious. Side bar area with toppings and napkins. Bonus to be able to grab a beer for the viewing. Sound is great. Seats are vintage theater style with velvet. No seat is a bad seat.
Lindsay W — Google review
This theater is awesome! It typically has a great mix of industry and indie films. The place is always clean, the staff is always friendly, and there is something so special about the murals as well as the lights in the theater. This is such a fine edition to local Harbor Springs culture. The popcorn and beverage selection are incredible too. The people who run the programing are really nice, are fun to talk to and geek out on anything related to movies. This place delivers a great cinema experience for such a small town, and we are lucky to have it.
Parker M — Google review
This place was beautiful! The employees were so nice and kind. This was just a lovely area and a wonderful experience. I highly recommend would definitely love to come here again. Update: My original post was about 2 years old and I have come back here many times since. This is such a beautiful theater and we really enjoy it but more then that, the employees! They are all every single one wonderful ( They are all volunteers too!) They are so so kind, polite, and helpful. I have some dietary restrictions and 2 of the ladies tonight went out of there way to make sure I knew there were options for me and to tell me about them, it made me feel so included. I highly recommend here for a movie, a good snack and excellent service, Thank you all.
Ida S — Google review
Fantastic movie house. Popcorn actually tastes good!! They have three different theaters, two much smaller than the other, each with its own creative and interesting theme represented in murals. We attended a family special with 25 cent tickets... yes, you read that right. For once you get much more than what you paid for. Excellent facilities all around. Cleanest bathrooms I think I've ever seen in a movie theater! Bravo to the lyric!

Nestled on Zoll Street in Harbor Springs, the Harbor Springs Deer Park is a delightful little gem that offers visitors a unique experience with nature. This charming park is home to several rescued deer that roam freely within their habitat, providing an enchanting sight for all ages. Families will find joy as children explore the grounds, searching for deer lounging in the grass and even spotting other wildlife like cranes.
Free city park has a small enclosure with 3 adult deer, but saw only one fawn so the does were very cautious. The buck came up to the fence and let us hand feed him, which was a first for us in 3 annual trips. Our granddaughter was amazed.
Deb L — Google review
Cute little fenced in park so people can see the deer close up. I saw only one little deer. I don’t know if there’s usually more?It was my first visit. Poor little thing looked lonely. They should get it a friend.
Sunny S — Google review
A must visit little detour in Harbor Springs! It only takes a few minutes to check out the deer park—and it’s a unique experience worth seeing. I’m glad the city continues to maintain the deer park!
Renee W — Google review
It's a simple little deer park. My kids (under 10) absolutely loved walking around the park trying to find the deer laying in the grass. There was also a nice crane hanging out in the enclosure. The park was quiet and clean. Overall, we really enjoy the visit.
Michelle R — Google review
Only 1 deer (doe) ion the park! Not sure why it is called a deer park? However I do love Harbor Springs!
Damon P — Google review
Small fenced in area, but we visited twice and were able to see 2 female deer, a buck and 2 baby deer. My 4 year old loved it and was able to get really close to one.
Stacey M — Google review
Well worth a visit! Yes, you will spend no more than 15 minutes there but the Deer are beautiful and there is something very calming about them. The kids really enjoyed it! It’s free and part of a small park

Needed a new pair of xcountry ski boots so headed to the Outfitter. I had a delightful experience with knowledgeable sales people. Couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Ended up with new boots and bindings, as well as some clothing. Unfortunately, clothing had to go back (my issue, not theirs!) and the process was easy. Great service, great selection. Highly recommend! And always fun to run into a friend, so am posting the pic!

Harbor Point Golf Club is steeped in history, with easy access to steamships and trains dating back to 1882. The course offers a ton of character and immaculate maintenance, with incredible views of the lake on some holes. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, while the members are sociable and welcoming. Tight fairways and small greens make for a challenging game, but the phenomenal customer service makes it all worthwhile.
This review is speaking to the restaurant Only: This course is not public year round, so please check website before going - however, the best lunch I've had in northern Michigan in a decade. The new changes they have made are amazing. Pictured, Chicken salad croissant & avocado bacon egg salad.

Fantastic course! Very glad we were able to grab a tee time in June before turning private for the summer. The course has a ton of character, is immaculately maintained and staff are extremely welcoming. Incredible views of the lake on some holes. We had some trouble navigating hole to hole, but staff kept us on track :) Overall highly recommend if able to play in spring or fall while public.
Mark K — Google review
Nice course but plays like an old course, which it is. Could use a better score card with some distances and visible markers approaching the greens. It’s private in the summer months but not sure why. Far better tracks in the area. Expected more.
Ski M — Google review
Outstanding, classic course that is one of the more walker-friendly in the area. You don't need your driver on many holes. The entire course is in superb condition. Open to the public through June 18 and after September 3. Highly recommended!
Willie H — Google review
Golfed today 18 holes and it was wonderful. My mom and I never golf here before so we were new to the course. Everyone was so nice and pleasant even though we weren’t members. The course was very well kept up. Very happy we choose to golf here and will definitely be back next year!
Paige B — Google review
The staff are all extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. The members are very sociable and welcoming to their Club. I love golfing here when the public is welcome at the beginning and end of the season. The course is extremely well maintained and challenging as the fairways are tight and the greens are relatively small. The greens are in perfect condition always.

Great golf course and even better customer service. The golf pro here, Shaun Bezilla, is a phenomenal person and a great teacher. Beautiful store, Harry was very friendly and explained some glass blowing things with us. There are no bad prices .. we bought a beautiful cardinal. Love it ❤️
Johnice M — Google review
Stopped in on a cold Saturday in early march… sign out front said there would be glass blowing demonstrations so my wife and I were intrigued as we walked about Harbor Springs. Upon entering we are greeted by a kind gentleman, Harry, the owner. Store is full of his beautiful artwork. He offers to give us a demonstration of how to make a bird on the spot as we are the only two in at this point. His demonstration was thorough and he explained the process with passion. Very rarely do I see people so in love with their work nowadays. Harry is easy going and a treat to meet. Couldn’t leave without this wonderful bird either!

Wonderful place to visit. So much Harbor History. I enjoyed talking to the historian, I had a old picture that my grandfather had taken, and I wasn't sure if it was of the Harbor Springs logging industry. She found a mark, and it was a logging company out of Lansing. Can't wait to come again, because I do have some treasures of Harbor I would love her to see.

This is a very quaint and charming local museum, which is just as much a value architecturally as it is historically and culturally (in terms of local European and native heritage). It's centrally located near a lot of other historically effervescent things in town. There are a couple of old vaults/safes as well that are quite amusing if you're into that sort of thing.
Donovan S — Google review
I wandered all through the town each morning of my visit. I'm so glad I stopped here. Historical societies always give icing on the cake for your travels. It's a great building, and they did a great job with the displays. Be sure to check out the old courtroom upstairs and 2 historical buildings and park nearby. Hint... Ephraim Shay must have loved metal.

A perfectly executed farmers market. I have volunteered at several farmers markets and nonprofit entities and this market is about as perfect as it gets - all the way down to the orientation of the band so that the music wasn’t obtrusive to communication with the vendors.

Unexpected yet delightful stop on my way through the Tunnel of Trees. There was a variety of booths, where I spoke with many kind vendors. One lady, Susan Glass Northern Michigan Art, was involved in creating a lovely watercolor painting. 💝 We hada nice chat. I discovered she creates and commissions paintings, and has classes. I purchased "Bliss"ful Forty Thieves handmade body butter and a matching bar of soap and another bar soap (Cherry Almond Oat), from the Bliss Soap booth, which also smells amazing! The lady generously gave me a Lake House "flavored" bar of soap for free! 😊 I will check out her etsy shop at BlissSoap. A musician at the end of the market entertained with lively electronic piano music and song. He had a very pleasing voice. 🎶 Lastly I stopped at The Dutch Oven Bakery booth, where I bought a cinnamon roll snacky poo for later. 😋

Cute market with local offerings that are grown by local farmers. Have live music and fun for kids too.

The lady and her family that runs farmers market are nasty at times. Saw them yelling at people constantly. I was told that several compliants have been filled with the City Manager. I will not go back until they remove these people and put someone that's kind hearted to run the market.

Nice Up North experience. Didn't think masks should have been required since we were outside and there was plenty of opportunity to social distance .

It's a very scenic area along the bay and the farmer's market added to that quaintness. I expect it's even nicer when people don't have to wear masks.

Wonderful business that takes care of their customers. The selection is *gorgeous* and you can tell a lot of time & thought has been put into curating an end-to-end luxurious experience for the customer. They have remained a locally-owned Harbor Springs small business for many years. The store has an on-staff gemologist and the owner is a good and decent woman. Elizabeth Blair Fine Pearls is a northern Michigan gem.

One of my favorite moments as a bride was going to Elizabeth Blair Fine Pearls to pick out my wedding day pearl necklace and stud earrings, a gift from my groom. Twelve years later, they remain my most treasured jewelry pieces. Dilly and Andrew are truly the best and make everyone who walks in feel special.

Unbelievable boutique shop in Harbor Springs, Michigan! I'm fortunate to have received a few beautiful gifts from Elizabeth Blair Fine Pearls from my husband (and the help of Dilly & Andrew). The boutique shop has pearls starting at $30 and will graciously help you at any price point. Amazing year round displays.

The most beautiful shop! Andrew and Dilly helped me pick a pair of earrings entirely over the phone/sending pictures and they wrapped and shipped to my friend for her birthday. Seafood restaurant
Located in the historic Harbor Springs complex, Stafford's Pier Restaurant offers a unique waterfront dining experience. The restaurant features three distinct indoor spaces and an outdoor deck, allowing guests to enjoy upscale cuisine in the Pointer Room, casual dining in the Chart Room, and a laid-back atmosphere in the Wheelhouse Lounge. With its original pilings over the harbor, this restaurant pays homage to the area's maritime heritage.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Pier Restaurant tonight! Our party of 8 showed up knowing they had a large group of 30 arriving at the same time, and we were so grateful they found a way to squeeze us in. Despite the busy night, the service was above and beyond. Katie, the manager, was incredible, she stopped by multiple times to check in and make sure everything was perfect. There was one small mix-up during dinner, but the staff didn’t just fix it, they went way overboard to make it right. It was clear they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in making the experience exceptional. The food was delicious, the setting in the harbor is beautiful, and the entire team made us feel valued and well taken care of. We’re so thankful for the warm hospitality and a memorable night. Highly recommend!

We had dinner around 6 PM at Pier Restaurant, and it was truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. The location is absolutely breathtaking—both inside and outside—and the service was excellent. Our server, Alex, took such great care of us, making sure we had a wonderful time. We ordered the Harbor Springs Smashed Burger—it was huge, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We also had the pleasure of personally thanking Chef Alex for the amazing food. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back. Thank you for such a memorable evening!

Pier Restaurant was an enjoyable experience. We sat on the patio where it felt a little more casual. The inside has a country club vibe. We had cocktails, wine, oysters and entrees. The salmon was very good. The risotto with the salmon was a little gummy. The pesto pasta was awesome. Service was friendly. The view of the harbor was fantastic.

Amazing food, love the location. It was dark, yet still so beautiful and peaceful walking down the docks. Loved the food, I had the Rueben, which was probably the best I have had in a very long time. Loved the environment, the unique touches to every thing from the lighting to the seating. It seemed as if the staff had gotten busy, as they were all looking and acting burned out. Which I understand as I have worked in the food service business, and at some busy restaurants. Our waiter was exceptional, will definitely make a trip back!

My husband and I had the absolute best dining experience here. We showed up without a reservation on Saturday night, hoping to enjoy our anniversary dinner here. The hostess, let us know we would have about a 30 minute wait. We said that was fine, and my husband mentioned we would like to be seated in one of their booths if possible. The hostess, having a great sense of humor, saw an empty booth and quickly let us know that she had all of a sudden "found our reservation" and promptly seated us in the booth 😀. We were quickly greeted by our waitress, who did an outstanding job serving us. Our drinks and food were served almost instantly, literally waited only minutes for each. This was our first time here, and we will definitely be back! Keep up the great service.

We stopped in late afternoon to grab a drink and gaze at the piers on the waterfront. Flowers out front were so pretty. The inside was beautifully decorated. The bar area a cozy place to catch up on sports or warm up by the fire.

The staff was excellent, with especially good service from the hostess. I had the lobster roll and it was delicious. Fresh and lots of herb flavors. Wife had the smash burger, the candied bacon was great on it. Beef tallow fries were great. Peach daly and the sangria were on point, the decor is nice and just had a great experience. Highly recommend.

Featured on Food Network and Todays Show, this award-winning cookie shop is a must-visit destination. The pleasant wait in line amidst a beautiful garden with outdoor seating adds to the experience.
These are some of the best cookies you'll ever eat. It's a wonderfully run operation where the cookies are made with care and love. I've yet to have a peanut butter cookie better than Tom's Mom's. Make sure you always get a couple extra because you will no doubt want more after eating one!

Tom’s Mom’s Cookies are great! Pretty wide selection and some really good flavors. They can be a little bit pricey, we got a dozen for $25, but I’d say worth it. They’re pretty big and super delicious! I would say they’re a great treat and some of the better cookies I’ve had. They’re room temperature which is pretty solid. I love a nice warm cookie, but these were still great! Would definitely recommend stopping if you’re in the area!

We also loved their delicious Original Chocolate Chunk and White Chocolate Macadamia varieties. Adding to the experience was the fantastic service. The person who packed our goods and rang us up was excellent – incredibly engaging and helpful. Very good cookies at Tom’s Mom’s. We shared a few different cookies. Oatmeal, chocolate chip, peanut butter and chocolate peanut butter. I liked oatmeal the best but they were all very good. The walk up window is cool. The place has a great vibe.

Tom’s Mom’s Cookies are the absolute BEST cookies we have ever had! They are scrumptious! We buy these every time we travel to northern Michigan. They are consistently delicious!! The texture is fantastic! The chocolate they use is exceptionally high quality and fabulous! We typically buy half of the Original Chocolate Chunk and half of the Chocolate Cherry. Most recently, in addition to our favorite flavors listed above, we had family members request the Cinnamon & Sugar, Molasses, & the Chocolate Caramel with Pretzel. They loved those as well! If you buy less than a dozen, you’ll regret not buying more! We highly recommend this shop!! You will be so glad you bought these cookies!

A small quant cookie shop with friendly staff and absolutely amazing cookies. It looks like a small house in some movie, but it’s the real deal. Massively good cookies. We picked up four different kinds of cookies and have only tried the original chocolate chip ones. They have HUGE chips (let’s say CHUNKS) of chocolate. We will be sampling the other options over the next few days. Super. Are they really that good? I think so. Come try them.

After I tasted these cookies at a wedding I had to make a trip to Harbor Springs to see what other offerings they had. I enjoyed the variety when it comes to a delicious cookie. Scrumptious! Love the huge chucks of goodies they put in each. The only con about the cookie :They put them in a paper bag and by the time I got home all of them were broken. At the price they charge I expected a bit of better packaging.

Bistro
The Paper Station Bistro is a charming family-owned bistro in Harbor Springs, offering classic American dishes and a great selection of drinks. The restaurant has become popular among locals and visitors for its delicious burgers, sandwiches, salads, and breakfast options. Despite being relatively new to the area, it has quickly gained attention due to its prime location on the main street of downtown Harbor Springs. The bistro features a small indoor seating area as well as a lovely outdoor patio.
The lobster was served on a big bun, and while it looked like a lot, it only half filled the bun. So you eat half a loberster sandwich and half a lettuce sandwich for 30+ dollars. The fries were cold but probably wouldn't have been that great if they were hot. The onion rings had phenomenal flavor but were lukewarm. The Wagu burger was good. Spent over $80 for lunch for two and a drink. I would give it one more chance, maybe just an off day, but I wouldn't wait in line to get in if they were busy.

This restaurant has a narrow storefront in downtown Harbor Springs. It is quite nice. The tables are snug. The service was very friendly and good. I had the Maurice salad, which is reminiscent of having lunch with my mom at Hudson‘s. My companions had burgers with fries. The presentation of the food was great, and the portions were reasonable. I felt the prices were pretty high. My salad, for example, was $18. Would have loved a glass of wine, but chose water because I’m thrifty. :) Nonetheless it was a pleasant dining experience. If you appreciate this post, please click “Helpful.”

Cozy place with some badass burgers. Started with a Paloma edged with Old Bay Salt and hubby a local IPA. The meal began with a kale salad topped with grapes, brown sugar glazed pecans, avocado, and lemon vinaigrette. It was so tasty. Hubby got a station burger with onion rings. I got a Blind Pig Burger. Hubby said the rings were some of the best he had with a nice crisp. I’m going to say my burger was the second best one I’ve ever had and I’ve had some good burgers in my life. Cooked perfect. Bun had a little crunch. Bacon nice and smoky. You could tell the burger was top notch.
Bowmanlaurapiper — Google review
While this place is nice, be forewarned it’s small and that makes for the conversations to be even louder. The food was good. I had the French onion soup and the olive burger. It was all pretty staple and tasty. I still have my concern about the wait staff. Two ladies working and the speed and urgency they had wasn’t that of working but stressed and hectic. The older waitress seemed to have an attitude but then younger one was amazing!

I seriously can’t say enough good things about The Paper Station. Every time I go, the experience is consistently amazing. The staff is always super friendly, even when it’s packed. You can tell they work hard and genuinely care about making sure you have a great time. And the food? So good. Whether you’re in the mood for something a little more elevated or just craving a solid burger and fries, they’ve got it all.
Maisy S — Google review
Been here multiple times over a span of 6 years & while the service is good, the food is just bad. Each time we left with unsatisfied palates. My pork fried rice was over cooked with a bunch of burnt pieces. Making the whole meal dry & inedible. And for the price of the dish, it’s disappointing to see they are using frozen veggies. On my way to the bathroom I noticed the hallway was filled with smoke, which further validated the suspicion of my burnt food. My wife’s salmon with rice was very bland. Her white rice tasted either over cooked or old. We really wanted to like this place but it just never could live up to the generous reviews.
J L — Google review
We were really hopeful for a great meal based on our server’s recommendations, the dishes we saw coming out, and the menu itself—but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The service was excellent—we were seated within a minute, and our server took our order promptly within five. However, the food lacked flavor and overall just fell flat. At this price point, we expected to be impressed, and while we don’t mind paying more for quality, the flavors simply didn’t deliver. The teriyaki salmon bowl was disappointing, the salmon was fried, the ends were burnt and there was no seasoning. The pork in the fried rice was dry and inedible. The perch was greasy and bland. Overall, the food was a major letdown, though the service was good.

Nestled in Harbor Springs, Willow is a trendy restaurant that offers a modern American-inspired, farm-to-table menu catering to various dietary needs. The eatery is known for its delicious small plates with unique twists on classic dishes. Diners rave about the sweet potato soup with shredded coconut and the flavorful Brussels sprouts with a hint of mint. The crab cakes and tacos are also highly recommended.
We just had 4 small plates because they sounded delicious on the menu and we were not disappointed. Everything would sounds classical but had a twist. Sweet potato soup with shredded coconut was to inhale. Brussel sprouts with a hint of mint (and other goodness) were really good. Great crab cakes as well. Tacos we're very flavorful. The two of us had a lot of leftovers after these small plates. Service, courtesy of Crystal G, was very friendly. Great experience all in all.
Ghassan A — Google review
I will qualify this review by saying that I consider myself a foodie -- whatever that actually means. I have enjoyed meals that embodied the local, farm-to-table concept...and this isn't it. They should rewrite the website to say "elevated bar food." Had they said that, I wouldn't have eaten there for our 40th wedding anniversary. However, this review is based on the elevated bar food concept because they wouldn't even get two stars on a made-to-order, farm-to-table basis. In fact, there was almost nothing on the menu that is even in season in September in Northern Michigan (no squash, carrots, beans or even tomatoes). This is a bar. It's a nice bar. Small. Somewhat loud, but not overwhelmingly so. The music was an upbeat blend of popular music old and new. The staff was very friendly and set an unhurried pace that was nice, but I would have thought it slow had we been in more of a hurry. Between my wife and I, we had five dishes: crispy potatoes, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, tuna tostada, and shrimp cocktail. Let's go in reverse order. The shrimp cocktail was supposed to have a "Bloody Mary cocktail sauce." What it had was cocktail sauce. I don't know which jar it came out of, but it didn't taste of vodka or even the spiciness of a good Bloody Mary mix. The shrimp were of a good size and only slightly overcooked. My wife had the tuna tostada. She said it was the best of the four things she ate (I at the shrimp myself). However, she was disappointed that nothing seemed particularly fresh. The whole thing seemed to be assembled from prefabricated components -- possibly even the tuna! The cauliflower was roasted and then deep fried to finish it. In fact, the potatoes and the Brussels sprouts were also finished in the deep fryer. This is a great trick that most bars with elevated bar food know well. Frying at the end allows you to make up a big batch of something and then heat and crisp it in just a few minutes when you're ready to serve it. However, this is not what real chefs do when they're preparing fresh, made-to-order, food. The cauliflower was missing one really important flavor -- cauliflower. Lot's of people don't really like the flavor of cauliflower. It is in the cabbage family and has that sour note that cabbages have. If you like cauliflower flavored food, you will be disappointed here, but the grease from the fryer and the garlic and cheese gave it good flavor and mouth feel. If there were pine nuts, I don't think I got one. The smashed potatoes were boiled before they got their turn in the fryer. This made them nice and creamy in the middle and the charred lemon aioli was super tasty. The Brussels sprouts seem to be from the same recipe every restaurant is using these days. The menu said chili, agave and lime, but it tasted like the same old balsamic reduction that everyone else uses. I don't know how they managed to get those other ingredients to replicate the flavor so closely. Don't get me wrong -- I really enjoyed the balsamic reduction flavored chili, agave and lime treatment. In the end, this just wasn't the restaurant we signed up for, so that was disappointing. Hopefully, if you went to their website and then found this review, you will be saved from making the same mistake.

I was very impressed! First and foremost, I have an older sister who is wheel cheer bound and they had a ramp ready for us to enter and leave. The inside was clean, simple and elegant. The food was definitely what they described. Share two small plates for apps and share a big plate cause you definitely can! Dessert was amazing and the service was prompt and they were very kind. I'll be back!

Made a reservation to sit outside weeks in advance and was so excited to eat here. When we got there, the man at the host stand said the outside seating was taken and instead walked us over to a table inside and dropped the menus without talking and walked away. The person who served us came over after about two minutes of us sitting and asked us if we were ready to order (we were not). They were very cold to us (me, my husband, and mother) and it was clear we were not a priority. We ordered a bottle of wine and ended up pouring our own wine most of the dinner. When we were ready to order I asked if they could check on an item of food for a food allergy. They never came back to tell me one way or another and instead didn’t show back up to our table until our food had arrived. My husband had fish for his meal and found 7 bones in his meal. When it was brought up they just took the plate and said nothing. My mom found 2 bones in her piece of salmon as well. The server then brought over our check and let us know the one entree was removed but there was no manager or anyone that came over to apologize. The table next to us, a group of 4, had great service the entire time, which only added to the overall disappointment of our experience.
Sarah T — Google review
The food and service were OK, but not worth the price. I got the duck w/ bread pudding. The beet sauce that came with it was not substantial enough to give the duck much flavor so it was rather bland. I got a salad with roasted cauliflower which was tasty, but a bit over dressed. The cheese plate was nice, but not worth $28. They only had black tea which I found very disappointing because I can't drink caffeine at night. Overall an OK experience but the prices, lack of variety (in teas at least), and bland duck left me disappointed.

Attempted to bring canines to Petoskey State Park Beach only to discover that dogs are prohibited from accessing the sandy shoreline. Nonetheless, we stumbled upon a nearby beach, albeit diminutive in size, where our furry friends had the opportunity to frolic and plunge into the water with delight. Encountered fellow dog owners who quickly formed bonds with each other's pets. The outing unfolded flawlessly.
This place is the only place I know of around Petoskey area, where my dogs can run around and burn off much needed energy after waiting all day for me to finish my 12 hour shifts... it's much appreciated. They love to swim and it's so beautiful.

Love the park for my kids and the fields are in great shape thanks to Clayton. You can take your kids on the playground and still see the little league games. They are, however, remodeling the park this summer, and I am excited to see how it comes out.

Confectionery store
Howse's Fudge is a charming fudge shop located in Harbor Springs, exuding an aura of heavenly candy. The family-owned gem is known for its highest quality sweet delights, including chocolate, fudge, and brittle. The owners, Chris and Theresa, along with their children, pour their talent and love into creating divine desserts. Visitors rave about the exceptional quality of the treats, praising the perfect balance of sweetness and freshness.
If a quant village in France had a fudge shop with Juliette Binoche creating chocolates by hand as she did in the film ‘Chocolat’, it would very much resemble Chris and his family’s gem that fills Harbour Sorings with the highest of quality sweet delights of chocolate, fudge and brittle. With an aura and energy of heavenly candy, Chris and Theresa along with their lovely children carefully stir the bar to its absolute highest with their talent and love in creating divine desserts. When it’s time to go to heaven, I sure do hope there’s a tiny little fudge shop, just like this one!

Best Fudge I have ever had. It just melts in your mouth. I am never disappointed, it is all so good. I live in Texas and would walk up hill barefoot in the snow the whole 1500 miles to get some of this fudge.
XrayDXA M — Google review
This fudge is the best I've ever had, bar none. Including my own. I remember coming here as a young girl and watching the fudge be worked on the marble tables. It is a family-owned business for several generations. They do offer their fudge and other candy treats for shipping, but there's nothing like stepping into the shop! It is expensive, but you get what you pay for, and it's worth the splurge! This is fudge that you savor. You don't just stuff it in your mouth! If I'm buying fudge, it will be from Howse's.
Katy W — Google review
We stopped in for the fudge and we plan to return for, the fudge. We purchased a bar of their mint chocolate, and were gifted some "chips" of other fudges being made. We were give some cookies and cream and some peanut butter chocolate fudge. While I'm not a fan of white chocolate, the cookies and cream is quite good. I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. And our daughter found the peanut butter fudge and dug in immediately. That was also a hit. She also promised to tell everyone she could, and even drag them in if she had to. She also enjoyed the small "vintage" bench inside. So even if you're not a fan of fudge, go see the bench.
David C — Google review
I'm not a fan of fudge, but these people impressed me! Went to the store on a recent visit with family friends. We bought dark chocolate treats with almonds and some dark chocolate turtles (or however a treat with chocolate, caramel and pecans is called) for adults, and some fudge for children. Amazing quality - pleasantly right amount of sugar, everything was fresh and very delicious. Service was also exceptional, a young man behind the counter was very professional and kind. We also saw a boy, probably sibling, helping out - great way to learn things. It was a remarkable shopping experience! I would definitely come back if in the area, adn highly recommend this place, especially if you want to find out (like me) how the real fudge tastes.
L. L — Google review
Amazing fudge! Maybe the best I've had and worth the price. My husband and I got three different fudge flavors (maple walnut- my favorite, the Oreo, and the chocolate walnut), all of them were so rich and seriously melted in your mouth. They are open for curbside and it was easy to place an order over the phone and they brought it out to our car. We finished it all it a day and a half between the two of us, it was so good we couldn't stop eating it!

Literally the best fudge I have had in my entire life. It will be the best fudge you will ever have in your entire life too.
Macady B — Google review
The best fudge in northern Michigan! Me and all of my grown siblings did a blind taste test this summer with all the local fudge, this one was the major winner! It has a slight caramel taste which is just absolutely luxurious. Also love the turtles and chocolate covered caramels!

This hour-long tour around Little Traverse Bay offers a serene experience as you glide at a leisurely pace of 5 miles per hour, allowing for refreshing breezes and stunning views. The knowledgeable captain and crew share captivating stories about the area's rich history, including tales of grand waterfront cottages and insights into lumber and fur trading.
Sherri was delightful! This tour is a must for anyone visiting Harbor Springs. It’s the best way to see the harbor side and the bay side of the homes on the point! Wonderful way to learn about the history of the harbor.

We have been coming to Harbor Springs for years. This year friends joined us and we wanted to add something new to our trip. I found the harbor boat tour and I highly recommend this trip. We ordered food and drinks, and it was phenomenal. Both the Captain and First Mate were so gracious, informative and focused on us having a great trip. It’s about an hour, the boat is very comfy, the limit is 12. The small group number gives it an intimate feel and you can’t not make friends with the others. The history of the shoreline is very interesting. There is nothing elSe like it, that I have ever been on. Don’t miss this trip. On our particular day, it was Capt. Dave’s last trip as he was retiring after this trip. “Thank you Captain for spending your last day with us.”

They make you feel so welcomed and comfortable when looking at their inventory and they also make excellent recommendations for your body type. Loved finding this place to spend part of our vacation up north! We went end of May and there was still lots to do and eat! Lots of board/card games and activities to do while you wait for your food! The squash cannons are a must! Fun to feed the rainbow trout, walk the paths and enjoy the animals! And I can’t not mention Strawberry and Rhubarb! They stole the show. Highly recommend you make a trip to the farm!
Maria R — Google review
Pond Hill Farm is a local treasure! They serve some sandwiches but mostly pizzas, while they do have a few appetizers. The only gluten free option they have is cauliflower crust pizza and it is an additional $5.50 if you need that crust. I went with the pesto chicken sandwich and it was delicious and the sourdough was fresh, came with kettle chips while you had the option of two other sides instead (I’m forgetting what they were). If you share a pizza, you can get away with spending about $13 per person but everything else is at least $20 outside of the appetizers. The environment was beautiful with the flowers, and the live band was great. We enjoyed walking through “the market” where they had items to purchase as well as snacks and fresh jams and other fresh items. 3 stars on the atmosphere because there were a few rats running around but also it’s a farm so what can you expect, ya know? The rats were not in the seating/eating area but more so in the flower area as well as the animal area. Great environment for families as there is plenty of outdoor seating and animals to see!

We went here on a rainy Saturday and still had an absolutely amazing time. We got there around 1 and the place was already pretty packed. We went to get in line for food and they told us it was about a 90 minute wait for food, so we ordered and then wandered around the farm. Once we got our food, (we ordered the Honeybadger Pizza), it was amazing and totally worth the wait. We stopped and saw the animals, the gift shop is adorable and we got some of their hard cider. We did the pumpkin bowling and went on a hayride, which was really fun. We also did the corn maze and may have gotten lost a time or two but we had a wonderful time. We can't wait to go back.

We had a great day at Pond hill! The food was fresh and delicious and the beer and wine was great. The kids had a great time on the playground and petting the animals but the hit was the gnome hunt. It’s a little over a mile and mostly easy walk (I did it with sandals). The path goes through some beautiful foliage and there is even a place to feed the trout. It was the highlight of our trip!
Olivia M — Google review
This place is fun! There are donkeys and goats, tons of stuff to do with kids, squash shooting out of huge air guns, entertainment, and good pizza. We were there during dueling piano night. It was pretty crowded, but the folks behind the bar were doing a great job of getting everyone served. We waited about an hour for our pizza, but we were okay with that. We shopped the little market and took pictures of the beautiful flowers. If you're staying in Petoskey or Harbor Springs, it's worth the pretty drive.

Pond Hill Farm does an amazing job at providing a laid back, yet inspiring, atmosphere. From delicious pizzas to craft brewed beer to adorable miniature donkeys to pet, this place offers something for everyone. The beer garden like area that is enclosed for the colder months makes this a great spot any time of year. It’s a wonderful place to roam, sip on a beverage, or just savor the outdoors. They have created something special!

We were having coffee in Petoskey and chatted with a local. She said: "Where you need to go today in Pond Hill Farm!" Thank goodness we chatted with her! The map calls this place a "cafe"? No. It's an all-out rural fun experience! There's pizza and ciders and beer and donkeys and live music and a corn maze and human foos ball and playground for the kids. Plus a cute gift shop. The hot honey pepperoni pizza was mmmmmm. A delightful scenic drive out -- bring kids or don't! We had a great time!

Nubs Nob Ski Resort in the Michigan Lower Peninsula is a popular destination for skiers, offering a variety of downhill runs, a terrain park, and a cozy day lodge. The resort is known for its well-groomed slopes and excellent customer service provided by friendly and genuine staff. Visitors praise the family-friendly atmosphere and the abundance of runs to choose from. Additionally, Nubs Nob boasts great snowmaking capabilities and plans to install a new lift in the upcoming season.
A Fantastic Family Ski Experience at Nubs Nob! We took a day trip to Nubs Nob on Saturday, March 8, and it was an experience we won’t forget! It was my 8-year-old daughter’s very first time on skis, and for me, it had been a whopping 23 years since I last hit the slopes. Let me tell you—skiing is not like riding a bike after that long! I quickly realized that not everyone is a master at being self-taught, so we decided to book lessons. My daughter’s instructor was Justin and I was paired with Joe. Both were absolute professionals, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Thanks to her instructor, my daughter loved skiing and is already asking when we can go again. And Joe? He is hands down the most patient man on earth—he dealt with me constantly falling but never stopped encouraging me. Beyond the great instruction, the entire resort staff was incredible. It felt like a real community—people knew us by name, and there was always someone around willing to help. Ben, JD, Kitty, and Owen stood out as particularly kind and helpful, making the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a top-notch family-friendly ski resort, I highly recommend Nubs Nob. And if you need lessons, ask for Justin or Joe—they’re the best! We can’t wait to go back! What a fun place. All the runs were groomed perfectly. Mid March and I found no bare spots on any of the runs. Clean facilities. Cafeteria was nice, everyone was friendly. Me and my daughter will definitely be back. Only down side that I can think of is that the lifts are old slow lifts (well maintained) but like I stated the condition of the runs makes up for it. Don't hesitate, check this place out. We visited on March 17th.

I don’t have any bad things to say about Nubs Nob. WONDERFUL, helpful staff, clean facilities, gorgeous views, and amazing snow! I did the Odyssey ski academy with Ernest and had the most wonderful experience. It was my first time ever to ski and I think every one should learn here. After my first lesson I was about to go on several green slopes with ease. 10/10! Great pricing on everything. The curly fries are a must have at the snack bar.

As always, Nub’s Nob feels like the best value skiing in Michigan. It’s a 3 hour drive for me and I always recommend this place. It has so many solid blue runs that allow skiers to hone their skills. When the glades are open, there’s nowhere I’d rather be. Make it a great day at Nub’s Nob.

Snow was fabulous (especially during Jan 2023 when we are lacking a serious amount of snow in MI). Lots of greens and blues that you and kiddos won't get bored. Get there right at open if you can and then take lunch break early to avoid crowds. Last comment, lift ops staff verrryyyy friendly. We all had such a great ski day!

Nubs stayed open this past week of Christmas (which was nice, considering the weather was warm and rain was pretty consistent). The snow was a bit slushy. I wish they would have lowered the holiday rates for lift tickets. I know the weather is not their fault, but it's a lot to pay $100+ when the conditions are that way. We would have tried for another day if the ticket prices were lower, but it just wasn't worth it. We'll come back later in the season.

Nubs Nob Ski Resort is awesome!! We had such a wonderful time there today. Their staff is top notch with their customer service. Their staff is genuine and kibd and friendly. I am really impressed with their customer service as well as with their slopes. Their slopes are really well groomed and it wasn't crowded today at all. If you are looking for a family atmosphere, incredible staff, a fantastic facility, with well groomed slopes....look no farther!! This is no favorite ski resort!! Thank you for a wonderful daybon the slopes!! If this review helps you and you find it helpful, would you please like it and give it a thumbs up please? Thank you so much!!

WOW!! Truly incredible. The photos do not do justice to this sanctuary. I'm not sure how I missed it in all of the decades I've been traveling around northern Michigan. The trail is extremely well maintained, has lots of species identification signs, is natural, and not too difficult to walk. It's all boardwalk and mulch. There are benches here and there, also clean and well maintained. The most challenging path leads down to the lake and has many steps. The outlook points, the beach, the perfect welcoming center. I'll go any time I'm in the area.

One of the loveliest nature preserves I have ever visited! The cedar trail in particular, with all its mosses and lichens felt like a magical fairyland. And then not just the beach itself, but the gorgeous view of the beach from the viewpoint on the trail! There are so many nature trails and preserves in the Petoskey area, this one is absolutely worth the drive! There is also a charming nature center with a bathroom, and we saw multiple staff around (even on the holiday!) working on the trail and greeting guests.

Beautiful nature preserve! Decient sized parking lot. Nicely kept walking paths. Very educational inside and out. Beautiful clean beach and a bluff overlook. Super friendly staff helping to keep to keep people informed and place so nice. There is also a very clean bathroom in side the nature center.

This is such a nice little piece of nature! Beautiful hike and a very informative nature center. Trails are very well cared for and there are nice pit toilets at the farthest point from the trailhead/parking lot.

Beautiful hike, although it was pretty short. Very friendly ranger greeted us upon arrival and helped us with all of our questions. Spent lots of time on the beautiful beach, which was clean, quiet and peaceful. Will definitely be stopping by again next time I get a chance!

A guide greets you at the entrance and provides a bit of history and a few rules. The partial boardwalk trails are manageable down to the beach. A few beches are available along the way.

Was a great little Trail, lots of cool information about the local trees, habitat and wildlife. It had been raining so some of the wooden bridges were slick. Im grateful I came prepared. Was a nice little hike before the tunnel of trees, wish it extended more. Loved the Center, where you were able to walk in and catch sight of some petoskey and charlevoix stones. And loved the touch of the memorial gazebo paying tribute to a young man! If you are looking for a good, small little hike when in the area, this is a good spot to check out. And of course, always respect the trail!

36Pierre Bittar Gallery

Wow! Pierre Bittar is a very talented artist! The downstairs includes 24 HUGE oil paintings that tell the life of Christ. The upstairs gallery showcases some of his landscape paintings. None of the work in this museum is for sale; I think you can buy prints from their website. No admission fee or anything, definitely worth checking out if you’re in Harbor Springs.

I love the beautiful art of Pierre Bittar. Every time I come to Harbor Springs I make it a point to stop in. I've bought a few prints - I wish I could afford to purchase one of his amazing originals. Absolutely stunning work - a true genius. While there are plenty of art and gift shops in this area, this is more of a living museum and is an absolute must see!
JJ H — Google review
Don’t be dissuaded by the religious paintings- they were later in life, not his best for either content or artistic value. Pierre is a fantastic landscape artist, get upstairs and experience true Impressionism in a very private, small museum like setting while his remaining landscapes are still there.

What happened to Pierre Bittar? 😭 I grew up in Harbor Springs and have admired his work all through my life. He slowly went completely off his rocker, and his window now reminds me of the rantings of homeless schizophrenics on Haight Street… the mind is a fragile thing, indeed. I read the first few pages of his little pamphlet? Zine? I don’t know what to call it… but I feel a lot dumber now…

I really don’t know what to say about this gallery. I agree with none of it, but I’m glad I saw it. Clearly it is not for everyone.

If huge, super creepy, sloppy paintings of Jesus are your thing , youll love it . Or if youre just a regular person who doesnt enjoy an 8ft painting of jesus riding a donkey , youll probably regret walking in to this place as soon as you get through the doorway. Also at the low low price of around 10,000$ per peice, for the ones I saw priced anyways( the giant Jesus paintings were not priced ) how can you pass them up. Seriously though , avoid it, unless you think passion of the Christ is a great movie .

This place so nice the painting s are amazing and there’s also free books and if the artist is there he will tell you everything
