The Sardar Patel Museum, located within the Moti Shahi Mahal premises, is a history museum dedicated to the artifacts and belongings of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It offers multimedia exhibits showcasing his life and work in interactive presentations available in English, Marathi, and Hindi. The museum also features a light and laser show with 3D effects.
The place is extremely good with nice illustrations. There are three places - Physics part, Space and Astronomy Part and Biological Part consisting of Viruses. Must for anyone who is an ardent fan of Science!
Anik M — Google review
This is, without a doubt, one of the best science museums I've ever visited. It perfectly blends education with pure, hands-on fun. We spent over four hours and could have easily stayed longer. The highlights are endless: the thrilling 3D science show, the planetarium that made us feel like we were traveling through space, and the vast collection of interactive exhibits on physics, energy, and technology. The "Fun Science" gallery had both kids and adults laughing while learning.
Surya K — Google review
Dropped in at Sardar Patel Museum today. Artefacts are well preserved, and the atmosphere inside is peaceful. The planetarium show was informative; narration clear. Lighting is good, displays labelled properly. Staff courteous. The only small downside: some maps could use updates. Worth spending an hour or two here if you like history

4 weeks ago A great and well maintained place to visit. Now run as a museum, learned a lot about Sardar Patel life depicted with help of dioramas and different exhibits. There's also a vast library with books written in different languages on the ground floor.A must visit place in surat

Surat Castle, also known as Surat Fort, is a historic defensive fortress built in the 16th century by Sultan Mahmood III to protect the city from frequent invasions. The castle stands as one of the ancient monuments of that era and holds great significance in the history of Surat. Its construction was ordered due to the repeated destructions suffered by the city. The irregularly shaped castle features large round towers at each corner and is situated proudly on the banks of River Tapi.
It renovated by your surat Municipal Commission and good for student and history research and here so beautiful thing and in this photo radha krishna statu was awesome and in this video was structure of surat castle.

From ruins to renewal: The city hides stories. The transformation from ancient ruins to a beautifully restored heritage site is truly impressive—hats off to SMC for the incredible work! The entire visit was seamless and well-managed. You never feel lost—thanks to the guards guiding you at every point and the dedicated Surat Fort app that gives you a virtual tour experience. It’s not just a monument—it’s a journey through history. If you're in Surat and haven’t been yet here, this place is a must visit. Trust me, it’s worth every moment. All the fort portion is fully air-conditioned so can be visit any season. Ticket price : 100 rs. (In cash only) Just one thing is missing they should except UPI payments too for ticket.
Richa S — Google review
Had an amazing and truly rewarding experience at Surat Fort! The restoration is done beautifully and the place is full of Surat’s history — from stories of trade with Europeans in the 1600s to fascinating artifacts. I was surprised to learn that the fortifications actually started in the late 1300s. What made my visit even more special was meeting Mr. Sumesh Modi, the historian-architect researched the fort and led its restoration. Listening to him talk about the history and the behind-the-scenes restoration process made the visit unforgettable. Highly recommend spending 2–3 hours here. It’s a perfect way to explore Surat’s rich heritage and admire its stunning architecture.
Harsh P — Google review
This reconstructed fort is in good condition. Entry fee is rs100/-per person. Open at 10am close at 5pm. Very nice fort to see with family and friends. There is various types of musiums in the fort ie canons pistols coins sculptures ancient War things wardrobes etc. Though this fort is in guirat sultan time it get value in English reign. They reboot strong fort here. This is first English factory in India. Price worthy place to visit.
Swapnil C — Google review
The restoration work was massive. The place is like a museum itself with many artifacts. But you cannot roam freely as you wish even if you want a picture you don't have time as oftenly they force you to continue the visit. There are many restricted areas in outside places whereby only outside front view of the fort is allowed. It was good as a museum visit but I wanted to see the core structure of a 5 century old castle and fort which they denied access for security issues as some parts are still under renovation which I can understand but for restricted outer space I think it mainly because they don't want you to see the small slum behind the fort or garbages. Overall good experience but can still improve.
Peer I — Google review
Surat castle is a must-visit for history buffs, architecture enthusiasts, or anyone who enjoys a touch of medieval charm. It offers a unique and enriching experience that leaves you in awe of its beauty and historical significance.
Gaurav I — Google review
I went to the fort without any expectations as it looked small compared to forts in Rajasthan or Maharashtra. There is an entry ticket of 100INR. The Govt. has done a fabulous job of renovating and maintaining the fort. Once you enter the fort, follow the instructions of the security guard and visit each room in that order. The fort has beautiful collections of coins, stamps, ivory, furniture, jewellery, etc. in the different rooms. The history of the fort is shown in a video at the start as well as a display with information and pictures.
Greeshma G — Google review
Had an amazing experience knowing the history of Surat fort and how Surat municipal corporation worked to restore it The place is well maintained, with guards everywhere to guide you which way you should go next The fort has lots of collections , also they have a small documentary indicating the history of this fort They charge 100 rupees per person which is worth it They have various sections and each section is clean, airconditioned

The Dutch Garden, also called the Dutch Cemetery, is a serene and well-maintained formal garden and burial ground for early British and Dutch officers and traders. It holds historical significance as the resting place of many colonial officials from the Dutch and British eras. The landscape features several tombs, with the most iconic belonging to Baron Adrian Van Reede, who was a director of the Dutch company.
The experience in this garden was superb , specially the toy train was amazing to ride , also to sit by the lake side which gives u natural quite feelings , the rides which we used to have in the fair , overall the experience was too good.

Only couples.. No scenic views..... Don't know why it is a famous tourists place in surat.... Just a small patch of land with polluted tapi as a view... Not recommended for torism
Manit B — Google review
Old dutch garden have best view of river and city, but due to no maintenance and care it becomes worse, major drawbacks is no parking space, and no security guard, due to no security beggars, and lukkhas are rome in the garden, don't go with kids and family's.
Javed A — Google review
Please don't be fooled by the images uploaded. The dutch style garden images aren't of this place. This is a very small public park, which is not maintained, and is used by homeless as a place to rest. There is great view of the majestic Tapti river on one side of the garden, which is the only plus point. The place is at a walkable distance from the Surat castle.

Good garden made by government. Nice view of river TAPI - Daughter of Sun. I visit during Monsoon so i can able to watch flood of river Tapi...

Beautiful small garden at Tapi riverfront near Makkai Pool. It is located just beside road. There's a nearby bus stop so u can take BRTS bus to reach there. Just outside the park there's a Amul Parlor too. Evening is the best time to spend with ur friends n family. In the evening u can enjoy the sunset and after sunset the lights n moving vehicles on the Makkai Pool is also worth watching.

The beach has potential but falls short in cleanliness and proper maintenance. The area feels quite dirty, and the development seems haphazard and unplanned. It lacks the organized infrastructure you'd expect at a popular tourist spot. Overall, an average experience—worth a quick visit if you're nearby, but not a destination to prioritize.
Haresh M — Google review
Dumas Beach offers a vast, windswept shoreline perfect for early morning walks and distant photography. While not ideal for swimming, its eerie charm and local snacks make it a memorable coastal stop.
Vikas — Google review
Dumas Beach, located near Surat, Gujarat, is known for its distinctive black sand, attributed to the presence of high iron content. While it has a reputation as a haunted location, it is also a popular spot for families and children to enjoy a day out.
Satyendra S — Google review
Dumas Beach has its own charm. The black sand, open sky, and lively atmosphere with food stalls make it a memorable place to visit.
Akshar M — Google review
⸻ Dumas Beach is one of the go-to weekend spots for Surti people. Whether it’s locals or guests visiting from outside Surat, this beach is always on the list. It’s usually crowded on weekends since everyone comes here to relax, rewind, and chill by the sea. Sometimes the water is far away from the main shore, but it’s still a great place to hang out. There’s also a Mahadev temple nearby where many people go to pray. The beach has a bunch of fun activities like ATV rides, jeep rides, camel rides, etc. You’ll also find photographers who click your pics with a DSLR and give instant digital prints—which is fun and pretty cool! There are lots of small stalls and vendors selling boiled corn, Maggi, and other snacks, making it a typical beach-y food experience. A little ahead of the beach, there’s a super famous spot for Gujarati bhajiyas (fritters), especially during monsoons and winters. You’ll find bhajiyas made of rataru (yam), tomatoes, onions, and even mixed ones. People even visit on Sunday mornings just for bhajiya breakfast! Apart from all this, Dumas is also a popular long-drive spot for Surti folks who just want to escape the city’s hustle for a bit. Lately, a bunch of cute cafes have also opened nearby like Nomads, Social Blend, Kissa, Deiro, Petra, etc. with chill vibes and good ambience. Overall, a must-visit place for a short getaway or beach day with friends and family!
Swaad S — Google review
About 20 km southwest of Surat city, on the Arabian Sea coast. Lies along the Tapi River’s mouth, where it meets the sea. Main Attractions 1. Black Sand – The sand is slightly blackish-grey because of high iron and magnetic mineral content. It gives the beach a very unique look, especially during sunrise and sunset. 2. Sea View & Breeze – The beach is wide and open — perfect for evening walks, photography, or just relaxing with the sea breeze. 3. Street Food Heaven – You’ll find many stalls selling Gujarati snacks like: Bhel puri, pav bhaji, bhajiya, gola, sweet corn, and coconut water. 🍴 4. Sunset Point – The sunset at Dumas Beach is one of the most beautiful in Gujarat — orange sky over the Arabian Sea. Love 💕
Krishna K — Google review
I visited this beach on 27th October 2025. I reached there in the morning at 11 o'clock. At that time there was no tide in the sea. So we enjoyed camel riding and horse riding. We also played some games on the beach. We enjoyed tea and breakfast. Then we visited Nagar Van(નગર વન). In this Nagar Van there are dense green bushes. Walk through these green bushes brings heavenly bliss. There are many wood gazeboes. There is a big aquarium. The most enjoyable place in Visnagar One is parrots' cage. Here you can touch the parrots. You can befriend the parrot. You can make the parrot sit on your hand.

Big temple. Parking is also there for cars and two wheelers under the temple building. And good thing is that there are No parking charges. Temple is always crowded as the popularity of temple is very high. Here You can perform "POOJA" for your car or bike. There is a shop which has a board:- "Collect Receipt of Vehicle Pooja from here". Also for shopping related to your religious requirements, there is a good market near the temple. Ambaji Mandir in Surat is a place where spirituality meets convenience.

Astonishing temple with lots of devine vibes located on the river bank of the river Tapi. Beautifully carved and gold-plated walls of garbhgriha, peaceful looking, ashtbhuj (eight hands) idol of Mata Ambika is the main attraction. There are few other temples nearby, you start with shree Ganesh temple at the entrance. There is one fascinating room full of ancient and traditional furniture such as sofas, bed, chairs, tables, mirrors, chandelier and few other items, one can't get enough of it. One point I didn't like was the location of the main temple, it is on the first floor. So it becomes nightmare for old or handicapped people who cannot climb the stairs. A ramp should be installed for that reason.

The Old Chintamani Parswanath Jain Temple, located in the central area of the old city, is a magnificent shrine dedicated to Lord Adinath. The temple's appearance is characterized by intricate marble carvings, majestic domes, and fine pillars that reflect precision and care. Visitors come to worship, perform rituals, meditate, and seek spiritual solace. It is a place of worship for people of the Jain religion but welcomes visitors from other faiths as well.
a hidden gem of Surat, no hype, no limelight, nobody talks about this place when we talk about places to go when in Surat. This is almost 300 yrs old jain temple, from outside it won't look like a temple coz your view of a Jain temple is very different in your mind. This temple is completely built out wood, the architecture of that era is evident, intricate wooden work, paintings and the calm composed atmosphere makes you feel out of the world, whether you are a Jain or non Jain this place should be in your list when you are in Surat

Science Centre Surat is a captivating fortress of learning that offers an array of interactive science and technology exhibits, a planetarium, and a diamond gallery. It provides an immersive experience where visitors can engage with hands-on demonstrations designed to awaken their intellect. The center is dedicated to educating visitors about science through unique interactive displays, multimedia presentations, and educational activities led by professional staff. With galleries focused on science fun, space, and astronomy, the center offers an exciting and tangible environment for learning about scientific principles.
Today, we visited the center and had an enjoyable and educational experience. Having frequently visited the London Science Museum, we found, this center - the astrology gallery on the 3rd floor, as well as exhibits on the 1st floor, to be exceptionally well-designed for educational purposes. It’s a fantastic place to visit with children, and even as adults, we learned a lot about science, space, astronomy, viruses, sustainable development, and many other fascinating topics. The staff members were friendly, and the security personnel were helpful and guided us well throughout our visit. However, one aspect that disappointed me was the photography restriction inside the center. After speaking with the management, I understood that the policy is intended to maintain the center’s educational atmosphere, preventing it from becoming merely a spot for selfies and casual outings. While I appreciate the rationale, I believe allowing photography in certain areas could enhance the visitor experience without compromising the center’s educational focus.
Raj V — Google review
Science Centre Surat is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in science and technology. Its interactive exhibits, diverse displays, and engaging planetarium shows provide a stimulating and educational experience for visitors of all ages. While there's room for improvement in areas like exhibit maintenance and staff interaction, the centre's overall value and impact on promoting scientific literacy are undeniable. I highly recommend Science Centre Surat for a fun-filled and enlightening day out. It's a place where learning comes alive and curiosity is nurtured.

One of the worst museums I've been to. 1) The building itself isn't designed as a museum, it is a brutalist style building with raw finishes that houses a few exhibits. 2) Poor amenities on site, including dirty toilets. 3) Food and drinks were not allowed on site, so we were hungry and thirsty for the 2+ hours we were there. 4) Exhibits were poorly oriented and displayed, seemed like an after thought. 5) Many of the video rooms and screens were shut. Dust accumulating on the exhibits. 6) Hardly any seating, we stood for hours inside. Suggest not to go, instead read about whatever interests you online.

I visited this Aquarium as part of my Surat sightseeing during Christmas vacations of 2024. The place wasn't too crowded. I felt that the entry fees is relatively high. The aquarium is operational and hosts a variety of fishes including some sharks. A really large variety of fishes in all sizes and shapes and colors can be seen here, spread across 2 floors. The place is quite well maintained on the inside but I'd say if some renovation is done on the outside too, especially at the entrance stairs then this would be a good place to spend some time.
Sumeet A — Google review
On a Thursday afternoon, there were hardly any visitors. The ticket charges (₹ 100 per person) appear prohibitive. There are several sections in the aquarium. Many types of fish in different Glass tubs. Mostly, this is like all other aquariums. Some sections appear to be closed to the public view. Best thing is that the whole complex is nicely air conditioned. Very comfortable when outside weather is quite hot.

A Must-Visit Spot in Surat for Families and Kids! Visited Jagdishchandra Bose Municipal Aquarium on a weekday with kids and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. Located right within Surat city, the place is well-maintained, clean, and fully air-conditioned — a perfect retreat on a warm day. Entry tickets are reasonably priced at ₹100 per person, and there’s ample parking space too. The aquarium itself is quite spacious and offers a rich variety of sea life. Tanks are clean, well-lit, and neatly labelled. Kids and adults alike were fascinated by popular attractions like the shark, sea snake, stingray, and turtles. What really caught everyone's eye were the rare, colorful fish species — many of which kids were excited to recognize from their school lessons! The highlight, though, is the life-sized whale skeleton, beautifully preserved and displayed. It’s incredible to learn that this whale had swum up to Dumas Beach before it passed away, and the authorities have done a remarkable job preserving it for educational purposes. Highly recommend this spot for families, especially those with young kids — it’s educational, exciting, and very well put together. Signing Off, Hiral Amodia (Insta: @amodiahs)

Great place. Less charge and really many types of fish they have even like sharks. It's thrilled to see the shark swimming in front of my eyes... You can buy the tickets in advanced by downloading surat municipal corporation app.

. Would have given full 5 Star, but the maintenance is not acceptable - the facilities are available. . The Whale skeleton kept outside is not photographically optimum. . Most of the operational water chambers are clean and good for the camera. . Better to use high speed shutter for fast moving fishes (1/400 to 800) - then edit a bit . ❌ Toilet is very badly maintained. . A few chambers are kept empty. . Overall good as the largest Aquarium of Gujarat! . The building really looks huge from outside. ♿ ✅ Fully accessible with wheelchair available on request. ♿🚻✅ ♿🅿️✅

We visited this on a sunday evening & had no waiting at all. The staff is good. Prices are 400 per head based on height for unlimited time. You cannot go back in if you come out for anything. So better is to complete your washroom visit first before visiting this. Additionally, people hardly stay inside this for 30mins, beyond this its hardly enjoyable, because its -5 degress & damm chilled. The place is good for one time experience, after 15 mins, almost everything feels very cold. They change the lighting, music, turn on disco lights so its fun experience overall.

Good and quite place This divine temple was founded by Shri Lal Bapa and gradually developed by dedicated volunteers under the guidance of Shri Muldas Bapu and the late Shri Nageshwari Maa. Situated on the serene banks of the holy River Tapi, the temple offers a deeply spiritual and peaceful atmosphere, making it a perfect retreat for devotees seeking inner peace. One of the highlights of this sacred campus is the continuous *Akhand Ramdhun* chants in the New Ramapir Temple, which fills the surroundings with pure devotion (*Bhakti*). The soothing vibrations of these chants create a divine ambiance that uplifts the soul. Every Sunday evening, devotees are blessed with *prasad* in the form of delicious *khichdi-kadhi* and *khir*, adding to the spiritual experience. The temple also features a mini replica of *Girnar Mountain* at the back, which enhances the sanctity of the place. A nominal entry fee is charged for visiting this attraction, making it accessible to all. Overall, this temple is not just a place of worship but a spiritual haven where devotees can connect with divinity, enjoy peaceful moments by the river, and partake in sacred rituals. As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, I don't have specific information about the "Tomb of Khudawand Khan." It's possible that this monument might be relatively lesser-known or not widely documented in publicly available sources up to that point. If it's a location or structure that gained prominence or recognition after that date, I recommend checking more recent and specialized resources for the latest information. You might look into local historical records, official tourism websites, or recent publications for details about the Tomb of Khudawand Khan.

Sights & Landmarks
The Dutch And Armenian Cemetery in Surat is a historical site with a collection of Dutch tombs and Armenian graves. The Dutch tombs, including the grand mausoleum of Baron Adrian Van Reede, are larger and more elaborate than the Armenian graves. The cemetery features beautiful memorial inscriptions on the tombs, expressing sentiments and affection for the departed. It is a peaceful and isolated place that holds great historical significance, reflecting the history of British and Dutch presence in Surat.
This is very history and 17-18 century and here photographer is allow and here tomb of army and is very historical place and here entry without ticket and free of cost entry so its good for younger kids and is old structure and it's very ancient place
Suman — Google review
A blend of European and Indo- Islamic architecture, these tombs are one of the most important historical monument in the city of Surat; which is now completely ignored. Inside the compound, the tomb area is moderately clean but outside area is very dirty. A narrow road leads to this place which is not maintained and it goes through a cluster of buildings. It’s strange how Surat municipality and Gujarat tourism have so easily and completely ignored and have bot maintained such an important place. Humble request to anyone who reads this review and who is in power to do something; kindly take some steps to preserve these cemetery or in 50 years or so there will be no remnants left to see!
RUTVIK D — Google review
It is a nice place to visit. The route to here is not much good and it is too small. There is no sign boards here. There is no tickets to enter into this cemetery, even there is no security guys or employees here. Construction wise the cemetery is really nice. But no one is taking care of the place. People who are staying nearby are not considering this as a place of attraction
Anuraj V — Google review
Really peaceful and eye catching place I would say this is. If you're a photographer you will definitely feel good about this place and also this is a really good place for making short films or doing some videography! Some new buildings surrounding this historical place would itch you if you're a photographer! The place is perfect for shooting some songs! There are lesser graves here than English cemetery so you can freely roam! The best time to go there is between 9am to 10am when you have good sunlight there! And it opens at 9am in morning.

Great place right in middle of Concrete Jungle in the metropolis. The Architecture is of great worth but it has weathered with time. Civic authorities should take some action soon regarding preserving and restoration of the place. It has got the Armenian cemetery more than 500 years old and a much larger Dutch cemetery of around 350 years old. Need of an hour is to preserve such masterpiece of colonial architecture in India.
Siddhant J — Google review
This is performing a lot in Surat City's History. But now a days City Government have no attention on this place. Approx 100+ grave monuments with their name plate also. That are really a Golden page of history. Now a days many structure are not in good condition and people are using them for playing now.
Chintak M — Google review
Nice place 👌,Beautiful memorial verses have been engraved on the tombs. There was a tombstone of a baby who died merely 2 months after her birth. Tombs of army soldiers, captains and their families fill up this medium sized ground. Each touching verse spoke about how the person had lived, how he or she touched their lives and how they wish his or her soul rests in peace. Each message was filled with sentiments and affection of the departed’s loved ones.
Jaydeep B — Google review
Dutch Cemetery is place which one should watch as, this place have the remainings of Lords and Cornell's of East India Company and also Military. The place is not very well maintained. Should be maintained well. Local People around makes dirty and they seat over there and light cigarettes and all so from the Department of Archeology should look over it and put a proper maintenance of the place. It is the place to be visit by all the age group and look over the great structure made there and which we cannot see anywhere else.

"In the temple's embrace, I find peace" …..😍🙏🏻Swaminarayan temples are part of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya, a religious group founded by Swaminarayan. The name Swaminarayan is a combination of the Sanskrit words "swami" (master, lord) and "Narayan" (supreme God, Vishnu). Swaminarayan was born Ghanshyam Pande in Chapaiya, Uttar Pradesh, India in 1781. He began a seven-year pilgrimage across India at the age of 11 years, adopting the name Nilkanth Varni. The temples built by Swaminarayan feature images of Krishna, and all temples since have such worshipable figures, or murtis.❤️

I don't know what to say about the temple..a temple needs no definition. Just come to the temple and feel the heavenly bliss.Try to attend prayer .. you will just enjoy it. Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) is a socio-spiritual Hindu faith with its roots in the Vedas. I visited the Temple at about 6.15 PM in October 2024 and the main lock of the Temple was closed. But i liked the experience. There was a notice board telling, in Gujarati, the timing of door opening. Translated version is also given in photos added. The Temple complex is quite big. Looks like they have arrangements for staying in rooms. Restrooms are available. There is also a shop selling religious items.

Takshashila Arcade, located in the bustling Sarthana area of Surat, Gujarat, is a well-known commercial complex that has garnered attention for both its vibrant atmosphere and a tragic past. On May 24, 2019, a devastating fire broke out here due to an electrical short circuit in an air conditioner on the second floor. This unfortunate incident claimed the lives of 22 students who were trapped inside an academic coaching center situated on the terrace.
This is very famous place in surat. Luxury buses coming from all over Gujarat stop here. There are many food and beverage options available around. Facilities like public toilets for bathing, going to the bathroom will be available around. Reach here early in the morning or late at night, you will also get tea, water, and snacks in the form of a thepla.
Ankit P — Google review
Takshashila Arcade in Jakatnaka, Surat, offers a convenient location with a decent range of shops and services. It’s a functional space for quick errands or casual visits, but it lacks the vibrancy and variety of a more modern shopping complex. The arcade has potential, but some areas feel underutilized or in need of maintenance. The cleanliness of the common areas could be improved, as could the lighting in certain sections to create a more welcoming ambiance. On the plus side, parking was relatively easy to find, and the shops that are open provide essential goods and services. With a bit of revitalization, Takshashila Arcade could become a much more appealing destination. For now, it’s an average spot that serves its purpose without standing out.

Nestled in the bustling Chauta area of Surat, the Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple offers a serene escape for devotees seeking solace and blessings without traveling to Shirdi. This relatively new temple is adorned with stunning glass architecture and houses exquisite idols of various deities, including Ganesha and Bajrangbali, all crafted from sangamravar stone. The atmosphere is enriched by the soothing scents of incense and fresh flowers, complemented by melodious chants that uplift the spirit.
Om Sai Ram! This is a large and very popular Sai Baba Temple located near the Chauta area of Surat. It is particularly well-known among Sai devotees and people visiting the famous Chauta Bazar for shopping. This is a relatively new temple, and I remember seeing it being built when I was a kid. The original Sai temple is situated in the densely crowded street of Chauta Bazar, which has become difficult to access due to the large crowds it attracts. As a result, most devotees now visit this new temple. However, one should not miss the opportunity to do Sai darshan at the original temple, which is more than 100 years old. The new Sai Baba temple is spacious and exudes a divine aura. The grand idol of Sai Baba radiates peace and divinity. One can sit here and spend time chanting and finding solace in the presence of Sai Baba. In addition to Sai Baba, the temple also houses idols of other gods and goddesses. On special occasions and Thursdays, the temple comes alive with a festive atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting the Sai Baba Temple. Signing Off, Hiral Amodia (Instagram: amodiahs)

This is very good temple but sometimes they should maintain the cleanliness. To be honest their software to print the donation receipts has issue. Historical place
Andrews Library, the oldest library in Surat, was established in 1850 by Rao Bahadur Naginchand Jhaveri, a wealthy pearl dealer. It is renowned for its rare works in arts and history and attracts students from various fields such as commerce, science, engineering, and medicine. Unfortunately, the library suffered a significant loss of about 25,000 books due to a devastating flood in 2006.
Superb place , we should take care of such places. Andrews Library is the oldest library in Surat, established in 1850. It was named after Andrews, a retired magistrate, and co-established by Rao Bahadur Naginchand Jhaveri, a wealthy pearl dealer who often contributed to the development of the city. In 2006, floods had destroyed about 25,000 of the libraries' book collection.

A very old and beautiful historical landmark of our city but they haven’t maintain it well and there is a library here now only open and usable for the very old members of the library, no new members are admitted.

The atmosphere here gives you an experience of historical heritage and grandeur. The architecture of Andrews Library is mesmerizing as well. When you pass by this legendary building, you get that cool historical vibe. So, shutterbugs if you happen to be in Surat, then go for a heritage walk one day and make sure to capture Andrews Library!
Ashish C — Google review
Visited Aug 2019. Pics attached. Might be (have been ?) a nice library. There's not much to see here. When I visited this place it was empty save for a librarian or two. They also would not allow me to take any pics for some strange reason, first library where I was not allowed to take pics. I was allowed to see just one (the first) room, not any of the other rooms inside.
Gajanan R — Google review
Surat has been gifted with quite a few libraries, but the oldest of them all stands tall in the heart of the city : Andrew's library, which is quite popular among students from commerce, science, engineering and medical fields due to its rare works in arts and history. This renowned historical place in Surat was established in the year 1850, co-founded by a wealthy pearl dealer named Rao Bahadur Naginchand Jhaveri. And it was named after the then retired magistrate Mr. Andrews. Just like its historic legacy, the architecture of Andrews Library is mesmerizing as well. When you pass by this legendary building, you get that cool historical vibe. Unfortunately, in 2006, Surat met with a devastating flood as a consequence of which the library lost a huge number of its book collections but it still continues to attract millions of visitors annually. The library features in the list of some of the best historical places in Surat District. Entry is free. Timing is 10am to 6pm, but closed on Sundays.
