1Jaycee Park

Park
Nestled along the waterfront, Jaycee Park spans 5.5 acres and offers a serene escape for both locals and tourists. The park boasts expansive green spaces, picnic spots, and a playground suitable for families seeking relaxation or outdoor leisure. Visitors can engage in various activities such as bocce, walking along the informative sidewalk that encircles the park, or enjoying views of the intracoastal waterway from a dock.
Awesome local/ small park. Must stop by and see. Spectacular tree trunks and roots! Loved it!

Love the big dog park. However, the mud is too much! That one section (by gazebo) should be replanted & cordoned off as new grass grows! Come on!!
Diane S — Google review
Very nice park to take your morning walk. Now is a doggie park, too, with entrance for both small and larger pets. Did a wonderful job👍 Also, has a nice area for the kiddos to play👍
Janet D — Google review
Very nice park. Parking was the only issue. Me and my family decided to stop here for an unplanned picnic. We had to wait a while to park. There are a number of tables and open areas for a picnic. Restrooms were a little funky, but it is a public park on the weekend. The playground is enclosed and friendly to older and younger children. There is a nice path that leads to a dock with nice views of the mangroves and the Intercoastal. Nice park, but parking really was limited.
Thomas S — Google review
This is a wonderful park that combines two things I love, nature and history. At 5.6 acres this park is quite large and has many wonderful amenities. In 2008 and 2009 the park received 1.5 million dollars of improvements, paid for in part by a grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Education. The land for the park was purchased from the Florida Inland Navigation District. This park has been named the Jaycee Park for about a half century even thought the last local Jaycees chapter closed in 1999. The front section of the park has the improvements made in 2008 which include two children's play areas, one for younger children and one for older, with slides, swings, and climbing structures, shaded by a large ficus tree. There are also two bocce ball courts, sheltered picnic tables, restroom and a walking path. Along the paved path is the Boynton Beach Maritime Heritage Trail which tells you about the history of Boynton Beach, the early settlers, sport fishing, the Boynton Beach inlet, and more. There also signs throughout the park about nurturing nature. The eastern edge of the park has a mangrove nature preserve. Mangroves are important to the environment because hey clean the water and they provide a protective nursery for sea life to spawn. In 2009 a 300 foot boardwalk was added to the park overlooking the Intracoastal for fishing and nature observation. Manatees have been spotted here. It also provides a front row seat for the annual holiday boat parade. To the north of the boardwalk is a small ramp where you can launch a canoe, kayak, or paddle board. I loved reading all of the signs in the park relating to history and nature. There were also several beautiful public art pieces to view as well. This park is a wonderful spot to take the kids to play, picnic, fish, and enjoy the beauty of nature. It is easy to see why this park is such a beloved destination in Boynton Beach.
Ariel W — Google review
Nice dog park with a bocce court . Has two separate play areas for dogs under and over 35 lbs. Also has shower stations to clean the dogs. Wish the play areas were bigger though.
Sam T — Google review
A real gem of a park often passed by on Federal Highway. The park is family friendly with some fun activity areas, such as playground area with swing sets, slides, climbing, even a Bocce court as well as a cement sidewalk wide path that encircles the park with frequent informative signs with photos /local history and benches if you desire to just sit back and enjoy the good clean air! The sidewalk on the north side is the most direct to the intracoastal waterway....nearing the water is a ramp continuing to an area to look out or grab a rod and real and catch some fish. Photos included . Hope you enjoy this park!
Frank C — Google review
There is something Magical where the water meets the land...small quaint park, with a well maintained dog park, just off Federal Hwy, with 10-20 parking spots. Also has a fishing pier, on the Intracoastal....great place to meditate...

2Barrier Free Park

Park
Barrier Free Park is a 37-acre modern outdoor attraction designed to be accessible to everyone, including those with disabilities and mobility issues. The park features play areas for all abilities, a splash pad, walking paths, tennis courts, fitness trail, pavilion, picnic tables with umbrellas, benches, drinking fountain and open play area. It also offers specialty play structures for different age groups and all abilities as well as accessible restrooms and family restroom.
I really enjoy taking my kid to this park, but I've noticed that some of the equipment is starting to show signs of heavy use, as it gets a lot of foot traffic. The pavilion for picnics is also becoming rusty, which is a bit concerning. Additionally, when big groups gather, it can sometimes lead to a messy environment that requires extra cleaning. Despite these minor issues, this is still one of the best parks for kids in the area. The overall atmosphere and variety of activities available make it a great place for families. I hope the management can address some of these maintenance concerns soon to keep the park in top shape!
IKRAMUL I — Google review
Took kids here and they are tuckered out now. The splash pad not being manually controlled was only downside. There is alot of bees so be careful of any children running around in the grass. Lovely little flowers all over for kids to play with. The splash pad was def the kicker for the kids. Also many fields to play baseball and football and soccer etc.
David L — Google review
Refreshing on this hot day! Great park, playgrounds for all ages. Exercise equipment, tennis courts, nice nature walk. Best part: the splash park!
Crystal H — Google review
A great place to spend time with your little ones.It is very well kept and clean with plenty to do. It's perfect for birthday parties and small gatherings for families and children. If you're following your gps it will tell you to make a uturn but you can make a left and keep going for the entrance. In any case you get to the PBS building, there's a walkway to the park as well.
Kimy L — Google review
I love this place. I have never been and we had my granddaughter party there and it was awesome the swings the park the water park beautiful and clean restroom as well.
Gisela C — Google review
It's a big park 3 different play structures and a nice little splash pad woth a button the kids can push to make the water start! My only problem is that there are 2 ponds very close to the playgrounds which is a little scary with little ones!
Megan P — Google review
What a beautiful park! Built for every level of "able bodies"! Wheelchairs, stimulation area, ramps, swings, those who can't sit up on their own - and walk-paths around & throughout. This is just wonderful ❤
Rebecca T — Google review
A beautiful park with Great spaces for little ones to explore. Clean and open to watch your kids play on different playgrounds or throughout the park. Lots of seating, lots of things to play on. Also has turf instead of grass by play areas. Theres even am interactive Water area...So bring towels! Free parking too!

Intracoastal Park in Boynton Beach is a picturesque destination along the Intracoastal Waterway, offering a range of activities for visitors. The park features lush nature trails for leisurely strolls and provides opportunities to rent canoes or kayaks for exploring the surrounding waters. With its clean and family-friendly environment, it's perfect for solo outings, small groups, or family gatherings. Visitors can enjoy beautiful views of the water and observe small wildlife in the conservation area.
Beautiful relaxing Park with seats facing the water right next to the boats as they go by. The view is really lovely.

Chill park. Big oceanfront 2 story mansion available for events too
Joe S — Google review
The long walk to the park was worth it. The park is clean, picturesque and family friendly. Great views of the water and small wildlife at the conservation area. The park is perfect for being by yourself or with a small group or more. The dog seemed to enjoy it just as much as I did. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
Sebrina A — Google review
It’s a very nice park with a place you can sit on the intracoastal. it seems like maybe unhoused people are using some of the pavilion / picnic areas to spend their days. Also people that seem to be sleeping or spending all day here in their cars. Maybe the high costs in Florida are making it so this is a place for where they can live during daytime hours.
J.D. S — Google review
Relaxing atmosphere. Looks like a great place to go fishing or have a gathering with family and friends.
Rob R — Google review
It's extremely uncomfortable when there's a whole bunch of adults and people without homes watching your children play and they're the only children at the park.....😳 Very uncomfortable. Also...there's no overhead canopy so it's just unbearably hot during the days when it's hot in Florida...which Is usually always. Just because it's near the water doesn't mean kids can still use the slides or swings and not get burns from it.
Sheilla — Google review
Great place to relax or have a family picnic, small party or celebration. Well shaded.

Oceanfront Park, located in Boynton Beach, has a rich history dating back to the 1920s when it was acquired for park and recreation purposes. The park offers various amenities such as playgrounds, canopy-covered walkways, BBQ grills, and a cafe concession stand. Visitors can also rent lounge chairs and umbrellas for a relaxing day by the ocean.
Safe, clean and my favorite place to watch sunrise. Horrible erosion is plaguing this beach too. Heartbreaking
Robin S — Google review
We didn’t find a parking space but the beach looks so beautiful and clean. I hope next time we get there earlier. *You have to pay for parking
La D — Google review
Beautiful location. There’s lots of parking (we arrived very early in the morning) and tons of beach space. It could certainly benefit from some more cleaning and maintenance, but for a public beach and park, it’s pretty good! There’s also washing stations to take the sand off
Esteban — Google review
The city used to have a gate attendant that charged for parking. Always plenty to be had. Now using a kiosk system. And you will NEVER find a space past noon on a weekend. In the last year, I've seen a park ranger a grand total of once checking license plates for payment. My guess is 90% of the cars are no longer paying and the word is out there's now a 'free parking' beach. So glad we paid for a beach pass that has been rendered completely useless.
Gregg S — Google review
Magnificent scenery, easy cheap parking, great wide beach.
Laby B — Google review
Allowing non permitted, non residents to park at the beach is a huge failure. Parking is atrocious, and the lots are frequently full. I'm glad our tax paying residents can enjoy the beach. There were at least 50 cars on line waiting to park, last time we were here. Make sure you remember this when you vote in next year's elections!
James K — Google review
It's absolutely gorgeous here! It's right along Boynton Beach with a nice accessible boardwalk from the parking lot to the beach. There are benches overlooking the ocean and the view is spectacular. Parking rates are reasonable, $1.50 an hour.

Veterans Park in Delray Beach is a serene and versatile destination by the Gulf Stream. It offers a range of activities for visitors, including a BBQ/picnic area, playground, and senior citizen recreation center. The park provides an opportunity to experience a simpler lifestyle with amenities like picnic areas and lawn bowling courts. Additionally, it hosts free live music events that contribute to its lively atmosphere.
This park is a great family spot with a fun playground that keeps the kids happy. There are clean restrooms and a shady gazebo right by the Intracoastal, perfect for relaxing with a view. You’ll also find a nice covered picnic area that’s great for lunch or birthday gatherings. The big open lawn gives plenty of room to toss a frisbee or let the kids run around. It’s a peaceful and well-maintained space for a day out in the Florida sun.
Brent F — Google review
nice lil park. addition of shade sails is nice, but it could perhaps use a few more by the swings. not accessable to special needs kids
Asuka — Google review
This park is located on the intercoastal off of Atlantic Avenue. It has a small children's playground and an Helios Multi Gym exercise machine. The children’s playground is partly covered for a little sun protection, which is a nice feature. There is a large gazebo which often has people inside. Park benches run along the path next to the intercoastal. A path runs under the Atlantic Avenue bridge taking you to the other side of Atlantic Avenue which is an easy way to get across the street here or to get to Deck 84 for drinks or a meal. This is also where Delray Yacht Cruises leave from. There is public parking on the north and west side of the park. It's a nice little park to eat lunch, do yoga or bring the kids.
Bill L — Google review
Checked Google, said Dog Friendly, but no dog signs posted. It's under construction now, but it's still nice little park where you watch a few boats & the drawbridge
Curtis M — Google review
I've been going to that park for over 20 years Veterans Park has changed from everything till nothing in it to everything in it festivals you will love that drink Spark It's a family day out just got to school there it's got a playground there it's got everything you would ever need it even got Botox you can go out on a tourism boat for 6 hours and dinner right down the intercoastal look at the pictures of those big boat that doesn't cost that much it's an expensive Veterans Park is the number one parking Delray to catch the cruise ships all the way down the intercoastal for 6 hours dinner and the Sun Knight and Sunrise and Sunset Tours God Bless America and God bless Veterans Park
Nickiy E — Google review
Gorgeous place, near the canal. Fee parking nearby helps a lot.

Veterans Park has changed over the 50 years I have been in Palm Beach County. I was there for the St. Patrick's Day 50th Anniversary Parade. I had been in a few Delray Beach parades years ago having lived in Delray Beach on 4 different occasions. It's a great city.

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Seacrest Scrub Natural Area is a 54-acre wilderness oasis nestled within an urban landscape, offering a serene escape for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can explore the diverse trails, including the short and paved Gopher Tortoise Trail and the slightly longer Sand Pine Trail with sandy terrain. This natural haven is home to various wildlife, such as the protected gopher tortoise and green anole lizard.
It was a very quiet evening. Just a few persons were bird watching. If you want some peace and tranquility this is a good place to take a walk. I didn't see any seat and I stayed on the track as I didn't want to get lost It's quite beautiful but nothing else to do apart from bird watching. I did see a gopher tortoise and a couple iguanas The gate has to be kept locked to prevent the gopher from wandering out into traffic
Nat-Awurd A — Google review
Fun Fourth of July walk! Trails were well marked. The whole area is clean and maintain. Missed the gopher tortoise will catch him when things cool
Peter K — Google review
A nice short loop trail with a good mix of sun and shade. There are blue jays and wood peckers in the area.
Briana G — Google review
This was nice, I didn’t see any turtles. There was a ton of HUGE spiders all over going above you to the side of you so if you don’t like spiders do not come here! Also saw a baby snake idk what kind.
Tina M — Google review
Free park. Cute tortoise sanctuary! Its only a 1.15 mile walk but its very sandy[think the beach sandy] so its deeper, a bit harder to walk in[not handicap accessible] along the route if your not used to walking in sand. Saw alot of burrows but no tortoises that walk. It was around 11am so it was starting to get a bit warm. They have nice maps with info and wood trail markers with yellow dots to indicate the trail route.
Stacey B — Google review
It was exciting to see the small tortoises sun bathing. I didn’t see any birds maybe because I wasn’t out seeking birds. Here is definitely a quiet relaxing spot to go for a a brisk stroll
Andrew B — Google review
This is a small wilderness park in the middle of a busy area. We ended up walking 2 miles by walking all of the marked trails and also along the border of the park. It’s easy to make your walk as short as you want or a great 2 mile walk. It’s a Natural area so it’s not for dogs or ebikes. It’s an opportunity to walk through oldtime south Florida and get back to nature for a little while. The parking lot is small but there were two spaces available on a Wednesday in December. Most people are here for a short amount of time so if you don’t find parking, just wait for someone to leave.
Bill L — Google review
Lovely place. Very spacious, well marked trail. The paved loop is short and mostly shaded. The yellow trail is partially shaded. No bathrooms or trash in this natural area. Bring water with you. Lots of animals, great place to let the kids run.

Nature & Parks
Harvey E. Oyer Jr. Park is an 8-acre waterfront park in Boynton Beach, originally owned by the Boynton Beach Boat Club in the 1950s and later developed by the City with assistance from the FL Dept of Natural Resources. The park offers a boat ramp, docks, playground, picnic area, and fishing pier. It's a family-friendly destination with a small playground for kids and plenty of benches to relax and watch boats on the waterway.
Multiple boat ramps make it efficient to get my boat launched. Parking could be more affordable.
Jeremiah C — Google review
Love the boat and kayak ramps. Plenty of beautiful views and some wildlife too. Would like to relax here and maybe do a little fishing.
Rob R — Google review
I come here to mediate and walk, it is very lit and secure at night. The view is amazing early in the morning and also at night. Enjoy😊💕
JJ H — Google review
Nice place to watch boats on the intracoastal, coming in and out of the Boynton Beach Inlet. There is a boat ramp, rest rooms, and a board walk for walking and fishing.
Mike H — Google review
If you are looking for a secluded place to relax and unwind this place has it. Walking around this place there are many benches for you to sit and watch the boats go by and take a good view of the water way. Lots of trees with blooming flowers at least when I went. You can watch the boat dock or head on out to the ocean. There was a couple fishing from the deck and they actually caught something. Once again you want to relax and unwind this is the place. Also if you want to bring the kiddies there is a play ground for then to enjoy themselves.

Public beach
Ocean Ridge Hammock Park is a serene and secluded area that offers a peaceful beach experience. Accessible via a wooded trail, the park features an unguarded beach area, making it perfect for those seeking tranquility by the ocean. The 0.8-mile walking trail and boardwalk provide stunning views of the natural hammock and the sea. This hideaway lacks human development and amenities, offering only the sound of waves as company.
Hard to park and people waiting got very aggressive blasting horns giving us hand symbols! But the beach is nice . it was crowded. Water beautiful no life guard. Water for foot wash not working which was unfortunate for our sandy feet. I did not see bathrooms, playground or any amenities just beautiful sand and water. They have tubs if you want to help clean the beach. We saw 2 man of war on the sand.
Mia F — Google review
I go to watch the sunrise a few times a week. I love this place. There are a few different parks in this immediate area. All of them are awesome.
Melissa M — Google review
Was lucky enough to find a parking spot to finally check out this beach. Parking is very limited but it is free which is nice the beach wasn’t too crowded and I had a great relaxing time
Hannah V — Google review
We were walking on the A1A with baby girl. We stop there only to sit and eat something. It was peaceful and beautiful. This place is a little oasis.
Mary L — Google review
I love free bleeding at this beach/ocean. Only annoying thing is dog owners who don't pick up after their nasty animals feces when it's a no dog beach. Free parking and chill.

Every time after a storm. 24-48 hours later... Like it never happened
Spaghetti 6 — Google review
It's a nice little getaway from the busyness around ,wish it was longer as it would be nice to see and take a break from reality. Was able to see many different wildlife around , even got to know the native species from the locals around that would take more detailed pictures of them. Would recommend staying hydrated as around the time I was there (end of August) the heat is felt but intensified by the humidity.
Travis Y — Google review
Best, most friendly, clean, and wholesome beach! The regulars are so sweet and welcoming! *shout outs to the sunrise crew lol*. The City of Boynton Beach provides buckets for those looking to clean up the beach, which many locals take part in (side note: THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WORK YOU GUYS DO TO KEEP OUR TURTLES AND WILDLIFE SAFE). The lifeguards and concession staff are incredibly accommodating and easygoing. I've met several people who drive over an hour to come to our beach rather than the beach in their own towns. If you are looking for a PLEASANT experience (not to mention... gawker-free), Oceanfront is the place to go.

Lake Ida West Park is a perfect destination for a sunny day outing. Additionally, there are designated picnic sites and a dog park where seniors can enjoy spending time with their pets in a natural setting. The 2.
Really nice park. Well maintained. They also have a dog park and boat ramp. Saw people out on the lake with jet skis and small boats. They have large and small pavillions with barbacue grills. Great place for a picnic.
COOKING 1 — Google review
This park has been a staple location for my family to visit. Sometimes we just watch the dogs in the dog park area. There are 2 sides there. Sometimes one is closed but when it's not there is a small dog and larger dog side. There are 2 playgrounds. The photos are of the larger one that has canopies for shade. The larger playground offers a section for toddlers say up to 3 years old. The older kids will have lots of options on the other side including monkey bars, 2 slides, a rock wall, and more.
Hamilton W — Google review
Unfortunately I was not able to enjoy this park. Its gotten out of control with the dogs off the leash. Its the law people unless your at the dog park keep yours own a leash. If you visit be sure to have an aggressive breed yourself that is also off the leash to even the playing field and ensure your own safety.
J V — Google review
I use the park primarily as a walking path, one complete loop is approximately two miles. Enjoy the shores of Lake Ida and it's scenic beauty.
SKroots — Google review
Apparently the whole park is a dog park and none of them are on leashes. From German Shepherds to Pit bulls none of them. I tried to walk my dog here but other dogs run up to him freely so he is not safe from these advances or a possible dog fight. Not safe and not kid friendly or family friendly. You can’t go to the playground walk the trail eat at the picnic table. There was literally a German Shepherd standing on one. There is dog park but that doesn’t seem to make a difference here.
Vanessa — Google review
Simply the best park I have ever been to. The scenery is fantastic! I visit as often as I can to walk along the trail or to relax and mediate and pray! If you have kids there is a playground area as well lots of picnic tables with individual BBQ

What a beautiful park! Came here for the first time for a baby shower and loved the scenery, the breeze off the water, and the shade which made it a nice vibe even when it was a hot day!

Meadows Park is a charming recreational area located in the Meadows community. The park offers a wide range of amenities, including basketball and tennis courts, volleyball court, bocce court, fitness trail with exercise stations, playground for older kids aged 5-12, picnic tables, and rental shelters. During its master planning phase, input from local recreation and park professionals emphasized the need for active recreation facilities in the area. The well-utilized park has become an ideal neighborhood destination over the years.

The playground equipment at this park is great for older kids ages 5-12. My kids loved the 2 see-saws, especially the double seater see-saw. The structure to climb on is unique and fun, with a super tall slide. There's lots of shade and sitting areas. There are 2 baby swings. There is a basketball court, 2 tennis courts, a workout area, and sand volleyball, which is a nice feature. The bathrooms, however, had toilet paper stuck to the ceiling, and my kids couldn't use the restroom because it was too dirty, so we had to leave to use the bathroom elsewhere. I don't know if this is a common complaint here with vandalism or if it just needs to be kept up more. There was also yellow tape on one of the climbing features, which I guess they are in the process of fixing, so we just stayed off that part of the equipment. We give it four stars. It just needs some attention to the bathrooms/cleaning.

A great little park, definitely fun for the older kids! The playground is a great workout for them!

I brought my kids to this park and they totally love it. Great, fun and safe structure for kids. Swings were old but I love the park overall. Not the best park but we had a lot of fun. There are a lot of residents around this park but general profile is not as elite as some other parks I have been to.

I really love this park due to the fact it’s very shaded in the playground area. I’m able to bring my dog as well which is a plus! Only downside the playground area is little more advanced for older toddlers. Wish they had another area for younger toddlers. Also wish they didn’t have woodchips. Park has been clean and plenty of parking. Definitely coming back!
Stephanie H — Google review
Cute park with 2 hard tennis courts that are first come first serve. Plenty of free parking by the courts as well as bathrooms on site as well as beach volley ball and basketball court. This park has been a nice amenity for the city of Boynton Beach for many decades and gets well used by the community. The tennis court could use some upgrades as the fencing is coming apart and there seems to be some issues with the court surface as orange cones are place around both courts. Both courts do have lights for night play but I haven't checked out the quality for night play yet. Note: the pickle ball courts across the street are not park of the parks department they belong to the condo community. The best part of these tennis courts is the width between each court to give your plenty of room to play doubles and hit angled shots. Check out my video tour attached.

Nestled on 20 acres by the lakeside, Lake Ida East Park in Delray Beach offers a range of activities and amenities for visitors. From fishing and boating to a playground, picnic areas, and restrooms, the park is designed to keep everyone entertained. Open from sunrise to sunset, it's an ideal spot for kayaking, canoeing, or freshwater fishing. The lovely picnic area with tables provides a perfect setting for enjoying meals with friends and family amidst the natural beauty.
Beautiful park. I planned and hosted an employee appreciation function here and it was so nice. The view was beautiful, pavilion rental is very reasonable and the space was large enough with plenty of seating and decently close to the bathroom and the grill was a very good size and surprisingly CLEAN for a public park grill.
Veronique B — Google review
Lake Ida East Park is operated by Palm Beach County and is a peninsula that extends from the south shore of the lake to the north. It is 20 acres in size making it one of the larger parks in Delray. Note that it's quite deep into the residential neighborhood so be respectful of the neighborhood as you come and go. While the park does not have a boat launch (see Lakeview Park to the east), there are launches for canoes and kayaks. Fishing is allowed here with a permit. There are a number of picnic areas with barbecue grills, a picnic pavilion that can be reserved through the county and a nearby playground with restroom facilities. This park shares the parking lot with the Delray Beach Playhouse. On a warmer morning, it was nice to be near the water. On a hot day, it's got to be fabulous.

Lake Ida Park (including dog park) is just beautiful, maintained very well, and has something for every age. Of course the dog park is our favorite place - we have 3 dogs. There are also many pavilions for outside (covered) events such as BBQ's, parties, etc. There are beautiful walking/jogging trails. Boat ramps for Lake Ida, beaches, etc. Go see how beautiful this huge park is. Just east of Congress Ave on Lake Ida Road.

Boynton Lakes Park is a charming neighborhood green space located in the Boynton Lakes area. The park features a playground, walking/jogging trail, open lawn, benches, bike rack, bocce court, fitness trail with exercise stations, gazebo, and an open play area. It's a great spot for families with young children as the playground has turf grass and well-sized equipment suitable for kids aged 2 and under.
I love taking my daughter here. There are swings for babies and bigger kids, a small slide, and a rope obstacle course. Always very clean and quiet.

This is very nice neighborhood park. If you don't live in the area there is no reason to make a trip out here but if you do live near here this is a great place to take the kids to play and help you keep active. The park only has about 6 parking spaces. There is a small pavilion and playground. The main attraction of the park is the large green space perfect for kids to run around on or play football or soccer games. The perimeter fitness path that runs at the edge of the field is a half mile and can be used for running, walking, and biking. Dogs are allowed if they are on leashes.
Ariel W — Google review
Beautiful Park with a clean play ground that has turf grass which is so much better than mulch or rubber particles. The playground equipment is really nice and adequately sized for smaller children 2 and under which is great for our little one, as well as 2 and up. Has a track/walking path with a large grass area in the center.
Oscar V — Google review
This is a nice neighborhood park, but not great. Pros: Swings for babies (2) and big kids (2). Very shady from large trees which encourages wildlife. Great walking trail with some shade for stroller or dog walks. enough benches. Pavilion, but you need to bring chairs to use Cons: only playground slide area is definitely for toddlers (says 2 -5, but i would say 2 -3). The area for age 5 - 12 is a climbing apparatus. It is a good climbing apparatus, not too big not too small, but limits play types. Has a tendency to flood when it rains. Not much parking (it is a neighborhood park though). No fenced in area.
Nefertiti T — Google review
Clean, fun playground but not huge, nice walking path and dog poop bags for walking your dog.
Amanda B — Google review
Amazing place for childerens. There is also a good walk path and workout place.

Super nice park. Love the training track and it is a very clean park. Just 4 parking (1 for handicapped) so most of the time it is full. Also has kids playground and a lot of Pokemon GO stops (including gym)
V L — Google review
Does your dog like squirrels? Well the number of squirrels is inversely proportional to the number of parking spaces. And there are only four of those (two regular and two handicapped) so ... A lot of squirrels for my dogs to want to chase. A bit small with a trail and some health or exercise areas but a nice place for a quick dog walk.

2.5 million is wrapped up in the project so far. with that budget I dont see its completion happening any time soon. Frankly I find it wasteful, because for a public space like that the labor and supplies could of been obtained from a voluntary basis.

The play ground is in desperate need of an upgrade. There are peices missing off the playground and kids could get hurt. My husband builds playgrounds for a living and refuses to let our kids play here. A little funds could go a long way at this park.

This park is pretty quaint. It has a small playground, public restrooms, boat launching access, dock, and an art structure. I visited this park as kind of a making peace with my relationship that has come to an end. I spent the greater part of the night just listening to the things that had happened to her in the past handful of years, all while sitting on the red art piece. Needless to say, we had visited this place a few times and have found it to be a cute little spot for a small picnic, a quiet place to talk, and a good place to sit and think. Nature preserve
Rosemary Scrub Natural Area was acquired by Palm Beach County in 1995, expanding to a total of 13 acres. This cozy natural area provides a peaceful retreat within the neighborhood, offering easy access for visitors. However, it has been noted that the area has experienced issues with litter. Despite its small size, it offers paved and unpaved walking paths for a quick nature fix. Visitors have reported sightings of wildlife such as tortoises, snakes, and cardinals during their walks.
Nice secluded area to walk around in
M D — Google review
First time visiting this little nature preserve, I did not see any animals, but unfortunately lots of trash, they should have garbage cans near the entrance, I was the only one visiting and walked the park in less than 15 minutes. I probably won't be back but at least there is this tiny piece of land for nature
C V — Google review
Overall I would not recommend people to visit this area. There is trash everywhere, low vegetation diversity, not much overhead tree shade, scarce animal presence, and I didn't feel safe here. Only a handful of parking spaces for visitors. Locals clearly do not care about keeping their natural areas clean which is such a shame to see. I think this is a nice place for locals to get a quick walk in during a work break but that's it - this is absolutely not a place for non-locals to enjoy. I would recommend visiting the PBC parks and rec website for a list of better nature trails to visit such as okeeheelee nature center and john prince park.
Jenna B — Google review

Emma P — Google review
Today was my first visit to this natural reserve, I love it!
E. T — Google review
At only 14 acres, this is one of the smallest natural areas in a Palm Beach County. It is named for the Florida rosemary plant, a relative of the cooking herb. Look for the large flowered rosemary. Other plants that have been found here include milk pea, red morning glory, love vine, netted paw paw, cabbage palm, native bromeliads, nodding pinweed, giant sword fern, wild pine airplanes, and pricklypear cactus. Animals that have been seen here include the Florida scrub lizard, gopher tortoises, Cooper's hawk, Merlin, Osprey, and painted bunting. Two paths make their way through the scrub habitat. The Red Bay Trail is a .16 mile paved trail. The Sandy Gopher Apple Trail is a quarter of a mile. This natural area is made of very rare scrub habitat which contains many unique plants and animals. It is located at high, dry elevations which are where developers like to build so consequently there is very little of it left. This area was once slated to be a shopping center on a once busy intersection. In the mid 1980's during the construction of I-95, Miner Road was cut in two which killed the flow of traffic. In the 1990's the land was eyed for home construction but a decline in the economy halted the project paving the way for the land to be acquired by Palm Beach County. Honestly if you want a nice nature trail just go to Wakodahatchee or Green Cay. There isn't much to see here. The trails are short, in full sun, and I got painfully bit up by large flying black insects. There is garbage along the trail and invasive species are choking out the native plants. The value in the preserve is it is a piece of land that was saved from development and it provides a refuge for threatened gopher tortoises although hopefully they won't eat the garbage thoughtlessly left behind. My advice is just skip this place.
Ariel W — Google review
This cozy Natural Area offers a glimpse of nature right in the middle of a neighborhood. Easy to find and access, but at the time of my visit, it was unfortunately filled with trash from the parking lot to the paved and unpaved walking paths.

Centennial Park & Amphitheater is a fantastic venue for family-friendly events and concerts. The recent Boynton Beach Night Market was a hit, featuring live music, kids' games, food trucks, and local businesses. The park itself offers serene greenery and well-maintained trails for leisurely walks. The amphitheater stands out with its superb sound quality and spacious seating area that creates an intimate connection between performers and the audience.
The Centennial Park and Amphitheater located behind city hall is part of the $80,000,000, 16.5 acre Town Square Public Private Partnership (P3) Mixed-Use and Governmental Complex Project . This project includes the City Hall/Library building, Fire Station No.1, urban park space and amphitheater, streetscape and pedestrian improvements, adaptive-reuse of the historic Boynton Beach High School building into a cultural/convention/community center and the District Energy Building. The amphitheater and park were completed in 2020. Behind city hall there is a wide lawn, stage, and public art. There is plenty of room in the park to set up food trucks and tents and there is a huge lot for free parking across the street. I especially love the huge banyan trees that line the perimeter of the park. The beautiful City Hall is usually open during events to provide restrooms and air conditioning breaks. Since its creation the park has hosted a monthly concert series and many festivals including the Kinetic Biennial, Haunted Pirate and Mermaid and Festiva,l and the Boynton Beach Fire Rescue Centennial Celebration. I always enjoy attending events here. Parking i a breeze and the park easily holds a crows without leaving you feeling suffocated. The Town Square Governmental Project is truly impressive.

Pioneer Canal Park is named for the water way the park sits on and the first settlers to the area. The C-16 canal was dug over 100 years ago. The canal runs east to west and allows boaters to connect to the north and south running E-4 canal. From the C-16 canal you can also reach Lake Osborne to the north and Lake Ida to the south. The canal is managed by the South Florida Water Management District who is responsible for dredging it. The park has four trailer spots and a boat ramp to allow water craft access to the water. There is also a small pier for fisherman. In addition to an entrance to the canal, the park also has a basketball court, BBQ grills, benches, drinking fountain, open play area, pavilion, picnic tables, playground, restroom, tennis courts, and sand volleyball court. During my visit the picnic tables and bathroom were occupied by homeless people. Other than that the primary residents of the park were iguanas. The park is open every day from sunrise to sunset. The lighted sports facilities are open until 10:00 p.m.

Betty Thomas passed away in 2011. She was committed to the school system and her community. She served as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. During her lifetime she received many honors and awards. When she joined Boynton Beach Board of Parks and Recreation she was influential in establishing many parks. It is only fitting then that a park was dedicated to her in 2007 in the community she so loved. The Betty Thomas Park is a small neighborhood park running along the railroad tracks. Park amenities include a basketball court, benches, bike rack, open play area, playground, restrooms, picnic tables, and a grill. Unless you live in the neighborhood you probably wouldn't visit this small park. Still it is nice that the community chose to honor one of it's influential residents this way.

Could definitely be better maintained by the city. I was there today jogging and I saw a pretty large black snake. Not very safe when there are children present.

Galaxy Park spans 5.48 acres and was designated as preservation property in 2012. The park is a result of a partnership between the City and Galaxy E3 Elementary School, where teachers and students work together to replant and maintain the native scrub site for educational purposes. Additionally, adjacent to the park is a 5-acre sand pine preserve owned by the City, which is home to gopher tortoises.
Love it over there no one is ever there and I can let the kids play while studying

Good place to walk for exercise and walk the dogs...the play area doesn't have much but we make due with games. Large softball field to play kickball, tee ball etc...
Kristie M — Google review
Adjacent and north of Galaxy Park is a 5 acre sand pine preserve which has gopher tortoises and is owned by the City. It was owned by the School Board but was swapped with City owned land on Boynton beach blvd to create a better footprint for the platinum LEED Galaxy Elementary School. The Sand Pine Preserve was in jeopardy because the new City Comission wanted to give the land to Habitat for Humanity to build 22 houses for low income people selected from Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach. This was only stopped because volunteer Sierra Club members found the deed documents which stated the school board would give the land to the City if the City agreed to maintain it as a nature preserve and informed the City Commission of the provisions of the deed. Plus the school board did not cave into City Commission requests to waive the deed restrictions. 9 months later the City is starting to fulfill its obligations by instructing the Rec and Park Dept. to assist in organizing volunteer work outings with Galaxy Elementary school to remove exotic and invasive plants. The City Commission also approved $30,000 in the 2018-19 city budget to assist in maintaining the preserve so it can be utilized by Galaxy Elementary school as an outdoor classroom.

In the older sections of the cemetery, gravestones are positioned upright, reflecting its long-standing history as a final resting place for many.
My loved ones are buried here and I'm appalled by the way the grounds look grave markers are damaged there are some flowers scattered all throughout the grounds I've watched the lawn maintenance run over grave markers with no remorse you should be ashamed of yourself who is going to fix these grave markers I'm sure I'm not the only one that has noticed their loved ones Graves damaged.!!!!! Lakeview Park is a delightful escape nestled along the eastern shore of Lake Ida, surrounded by a charming residential neighborhood. This spacious park boasts ample parking and even features a boat launch for those looking to enjoy some time on the water. Visitors can take advantage of picnic tables scattered throughout, complete with barbecue grills for an outdoor feast. The large pavilion is perfect for gatherings and can be reserved through the city’s website.
Both gazebos have construction tape around them at the moment and both picnic tables have been moved under trees, so they are still accessible. Unfortunately, it looks like people have been leaving trash at the tables even though there is a new trash can available just paces away. The playground itself is large, mulch bottom and grassy area to the side of it. It overlooks the lake, so bring bug spray! Very lovely park with good amount of parking, bathrooms and water fountain.

One of Delray's larger parks, the name gives it away. This park is located on the eastern shore of Lake Ida in a very nice residential neighborhood. There is a big parking area and a boat launch with space for cars with trailers. The park has a big pavilion that can be reserved from the city (see the web page for info). Picnic tables throughout, barbecue grills, a nice playground, a permanent building with restrooms and a walking trail that goes around the park. From the lakeside, you can enjoy the birds, perhaps do some fishing, or watch over in the distance as the cars go northbound on I-95. I found it quite peaceful.

Nice place for a boardwalk nature stroll. You will see plenty of turtles, iguanas, rabbits. A varied amount of birds and ducks. There’s a gator or two that comes out of hiding occasionally. The walk ranges from just under a mile to slightly over a mile depending on which path you take. The majority of the walk is uncovered and your right above the water on a boardwalk so it can get hot when sunny. Some portions are covered with tree canopy and there are also small gondolas along the path with benches to rest. Nice escape from city life in the middle of Delray.

Such a beautiful boardwalk! You can choose between a full mile or a shorter 1/2 mile loop that winds through swamps and wetlands. There are signs all along the path with animals to look out for, which made it extra fun for my two toddlers. If you’re going during the heat of the day—bring a stroller! It was hot when we went. There are shaded spots, gazebos, and little huts along the way, but the sun still gets intense. Inside, there’s a nature center with cool animals like snakes, frogs, and other Florida creatures. They also offer free tours and a scavenger hunt just for the kiddos. Bonus points: there’s a changing table in the women’s bathroom. Love when places think of the moms!

We are so blessed in Palm Beach County to have this amazing National Wildlife Refuge. It costs $10 to enter, or you can get a yearly pass for $25 per carload, which is well worth it if you are going to visit often. The visitor center, when you enter, is worth a stop to get maps and for staff/volunteers to share what sitings have been reported back to them from visitors. I was able to enjoy the Sandhill Cranes walking their baby because of this information with the location and all and so precious. Behind the visitor center is Cypress Swamp Boardwalk that wraps back around . It's a nice start to your journey their. It's .4 - mile and several benches a long the way. Their is a self- guided pamphlet you can pick up at the boardwalk entrance, which detail what you will be seeing. Their are also bathrooms outside and in the visitors center. All very clean. In the visitor center you can also fill up your water bottle at the fountain to stay hydrated and they have a wonderful gift shop. The visitor center also has a great display and an opportunity to ride a virtual air boat and take an adventure with beautiful graphics being under the stars at night their theater. You can also book tram tours to take you around the refuge to get familiar with the area. Once in the refuge the walk is all open. I'm not as fearful as I was in the beginning. It is nature and the animals like the bobcats or Alligators or raccoons or Marsh rabbits may just look at you for the moment and go their merry way.

Such an interesting and atmospheric park! The entrance fee is $10 — if no one is at the gate, you can pay online. Many people come here to watch the sunset — and it’s totally worth it. I was lucky enough to spot three alligators during my walk! You can rent a kayak (self-service, paid online), and there’s a route map showing where you might encounter wildlife along the way. It felt a bit scary, so we didn’t go kayaking this time — but definitely will next time! You can also bike, fish, or bring your own boat. There are restrooms both at the beginning and end of the trail, which is convenient. If you want to explore the whole area on foot, plan for about 2–3 hours. A great spot for nature lovers, outdoor adventures, and unexpected wildlife encounters 🐊🌿

Nice, quiet and off the beaten path reserve! I went in the middle of the day on a Monday and it was very quiet. There is a short walk in a Cypress Swamp by the visitor center (first two photos) and a mile long loop around a drainage area (second two photos) along with a connection to the main reserve area at the end of the main road (not pictured). You are very exposed to the elements so be sure to bring a hat and sun protection clothes!

The parks of Sunny Isles Beach are immaculate and Intracoastal Park South is a shinning example. It is part of the Intracoastal Parks, a linear park system made up of four smaller parcels to create an Intracoastal Park north and an Intracoastal Park south. This waterfront park boasts a green landscape with picnic benches, seating, a bike rack, paved walkway, and public art. The linear parks contain a set of three abstract cement and metal sculptures inspired by the elements and environment of South Florida, "Seawhisper", "Rain", and "Converge". At the southernmost portion of the park is the fenced Dezer Family Playground donated by Michael Dezer, an Israeli-American real estate developer, car collector, billionaire, and founder of Dezer Properties which has investments in New York and Florida real estate. I have always admired this park on my way to Bal Harbour and Surf Side but there is no parking at the park or anywhere nearby. It seems to have been made primarily for those living in and visiting the tower hotels and condos across the street on the beach.

We had a wonderful time on this adventure! They clearly explain all the details of the tour via email and text messages before you get there so that made for a very smooth experience. Our tour guide Becca was very knowledgeable and we had a peaceful tour. I did somehow think that the VIP tour was going to be just our family, but there were two other families with us. (It was nothing they didn’t explain correctly. I just somehow in my mind thought VIP tour meant it was just us, but that’s my fault!) However, we got to do a lot of different activities that we found to be great. Each stop had a reasonable amount of time with the animals and you can tell how much the caretakers care about the safety health and happiness of each one. The highlight for my daughter was the otters but keep in mind you have to be a certain age to do that. So make sure to read the instructions as I’ve seen some reviews complaining that they didn’t know they couldn’t participate, but it’s clearly stated on their webpage. Even though it was in the 90s and humid today, it didn’t feel bad because most things are shaded and there was a nice breeze. We had a smooth experience from start to finish. The price for the VIP tour is very reasonable considering the amount of time and the amount of information received during this time. We are a homeschooling family and so didn’t want to go simply for photos. We wanted to learn as well and we felt we were able to do both some cute photos, but also learn a lot of interesting information about each animal. Highly recommend if you’re in Florida to make a reservation so that you can unexperienced the same!

Overall a truly wonderful experience!

This place was AMAZING!! If you love animals and want to experience being up close and personal with them, this is it! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it is by far the best present ever. They have a lot of different animals and they have backstories of how they got there and some of these stories are amazing! We got to feed Joey’s and hold one, we got to feed porcupines and capybaras. The otters were amazing we got to sit with them and pet them. My boyfriend also added on the monkeys and we got time after the tour with 2 squirrel monkeys, one was 6 months old! She was so sweet and the other was swinging around eating fruit, and just had us laughing! The staff is super friendly and everyone had a smile on their face. Our tour guide, Shelly was awesome!!! She was very knowledgeable and took her time with us explaining things and answering questions. Never felt rushed once. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to get up close and personal with animals!!

This place is amazing! We spent $25 a person and it was well worth it! This place is privately owned so they offer tours by appointment only. We had a great guide named Shelly who gave us all the fun facts about all of the animals. She was very friendly, even to the other people who didn’t listen to her instructions. You can tell she likes working there! This guided tour was more than we all expected. I had my mom, boyfriend, 5 year old and 11 year old with me and they all loved it! We got to pet kangaroos, a sloth and feed goats! It felt like we were there much longer than the hour. You had plenty of time to spend with the animals and there was no rush. This place is a must-go, especially for kids.

This place is absolutely amazing. Had such a great time and tour guide Shelly was great. She took us through the tour and was very informative. The experience is like no other place I have been before. It is an up close interactive tour with animals. It’s not just a walk through and look. Each section we stopped and talked about each animal and many we got to interact with. You get to feed capybaras, play and pet otters, pet sloths and feed goats. We also did an add on where we got to hold and feed spider monkeys. It was a truly amazing experience. If you know an animal lover this is the place for them. Shelly was a great tour guide answering questions and was very welcoming. We never felt rushed or hurried during the tour. Absolutely loved everything here will definitely be back

We had a great experience! And so happy to have had Alec lead our group. We had our barely two yr old daughter with us so I was a little worried about how much walking the tour would include / if I should bring a stroller but the walking was perfectly manageable for a two yr old. She had so much fun! The only add on we booked was the kangaroo hold but we really didn’t even need to book that because my daughter just wanted to pet them which is included in the tour, along with feeding the goats and the camels and petting a sloth. It was perfect and not too short or too long. A really fun morning for the whole group! After reading a few other reviews, I just wanted to edit this to add that it was extremely evident how much the staff and owners care about these animals. They all would experience a far worse fate if they hadn’t found themselves in the care of animal EDventures. The staff was extremely careful with all animal interactions and made sure our two yr old was capable of petting exactly as instructed. Every animal we were allowed to pet we were given precise instruction before hand - I.e, do not pet their tummy, only flat hand on their back, etc. The staff was excellent and the animals were all so visibly happy and healthy and spoiled!

Highly recommend doing upgraded tour for sure. Wish we would have done the swimming with the otters for sure, but getting to play with them was the highlight for us all for sure!!! The kangaroos were awesome also, feeding them and holding a baby. Everyone there is doing such a great job and hats off to all of you. Also, watching the shaved headed guy with tattoos, sorry I don't know his name, but he was playing in the cage with the spider monkey and it had us cracking up for sure. Thank you all and especially Kayla!!! God I hope i didn't mess up her name😁

Wow! What an amazing adventure, or should I say EDventure? Haha. Truly though, a wonderful experience, very educational and Kayla was a great tour guide. We went for my birthday and had to reschedule due to weather; but rescheduling was a breeze and they were great communicating in advance and on the day of. Facilities are exceptionally clean and well maintained and animals are all well cared for. Touring in October is an extra special experience since the grounds are decorated for Halloween. I believe they also decorate for the holiday season though I haven't seen it myself. Advance purchase tickets or reservations are a must for this private property. Follow their guidance and have fun, it was well worth the trip. We went for the behind the scenes VIP tour and had a blast playing with otters, petting a sloth and kangaroos, and feeding porcupines and capybaras.

Park
Veterans Park is a communal green space spanning over 2 acres with amenities such as an enclosed play area, lavatory facilities and unobstructed grassy fields. The grounds provide a shared environment for neighborhoods to enjoy outdoor activities and engage in leisurely pursuits. The covered playground offers shelter from weather conditions while the restrooms offer convenience for park-goers. The open lawns are spacious enough to accommodate various recreational activities that support healthy lifestyles, community building and social interaction.
Very nice playground. My four year old and I are here on a Sunday afternoon and there are some families here. The grounds are clean and well maintained. The play structure is in excellent condition. I fully recommend this park!

My 3 years old daughter likes this playground. There are a lot of shadows, and it has water splashes it helps in sunny days. It has a big grass area to play games. It has a a tables flyover take a lunch. And a lot parking slots. Really good place for kids.

My kids' favorite park so far. We made a few friends. Very clean, lots of grass for picnic or play with ball. Nice family oriented place. Spent there few hours

It’s really nice spot for kids specially for the toddlers ❤️ My son had great time .

Park has limited shade and is not geared towards elderly with shaded seating areas. Park needs to be available for use by all age cohorts. Seems to be dominate theme with Aventura parks. Limited seating areas with shade to allow all age cohorts to interact

Great little park. The play structure is nice and looks well maintained with shade for the sunny days. There is restroom facilities on site and parking available by the entrance. My kid loved it. Although I believe this is a resident only park there is no guard checking id's. On the plus side, there are a few tables so you can make it a day.

Very nice park, clean has a restroom, fenced and felt safe, it has a good amount of shade, I will definitely come back.

I like to take my children to this park. well taken care of and plenty of parking. Park has bathroom, water fountains and a small path for bicycles/rollerblades. Everytime I had to interact with other parents all of them seemed to me very nice. Recommend 👍

Compact grassy lawn with funky outdoor sculptures & mature trees, plus cement tables & stools.
Nice little park that's just nice to take a picture at of the beautiful tree that's lit up at night. It isn't big at all but it's just nice to sit down and relax there for 10 mins.

A small park located on a corner with two large beautiful shade trees and park benches. A quiet place to sit, relax and enjoy a few quiet minutes.

Small but an adorable park next to our park Ranger office & hurricane alley restaurant and bar.
Peter O — Google review
Park is only good for walking your dog and even then you have to pay close attention because of all the chicken bones thrown on the ground, it’s right next to the park rangers and it’s never cleaned up, there’s overflowing recycling containers always full on the edge of the park, beer cans and food boxes always left on the tables, and half the time there’s cars on the grass parked by the dumpsters at the park rangers back door. None of the lights work in the trees. Christmas they spent all this money to wrap the trees in lights and they all worked at the same time for about one night, then when one set work the other didn’t eventually by about a week and half before Christmas none worked. It just sucks because it would actually be a nice park if there was some upkeep and the lanterns in the trees worked which you would think wouldn’t be that hard to accomplish seeing how it’s next door to the Park Rangers.

Amazing festival space! Mermaids and pirates make the park so exciting

Good place to enjoy a little tree with bench to sit at. The city keeps the little tree looking it's best for the different holidays. We thank you City of Boynton Beach for keeping our natural resources beautiful & clean.🏝

Very relaxing spot. There's some art/festive decorations when I've been there. Not very big and near the train track so it can get loud but it's also by some nice restaurants and cafes so that is a big plus.

The reason I am giving only 1 star is b/c while dining at this establishment my fiancée was stung by a Great Black Wasp. Yes, this is harmless, but the way that the situation was mishandled was what received this establishment its rating. We are dining inside next to the window. While attempting to continue w/ our meal his arm around the area is beginning to swell so he informs our waitress who does the correct thing & inform the manager. The manager then approaches by stating that she was told he claimed to be stung even after being shown the area. When corrected & asked if she had anything to disinfect it she stated no. So we then asked for perhaps hand sanitizer she once again said no. We tend to visit on every trip, but based off of (overlooking the fact that the conch fritters were overfried & under seasoned) the poor customer service of the management to such a minor situation is a reflection of the establishment. BUT I do have to say our waitress went above & beyond by mixing a remedy her mother makes to stop the itching & burning.
