Fab little wine and tapas bar with excellent food (best panisse ever) and great wine by the glass. Booking advised. We were unluckily seated next to some very loud people from across the pond but the staff were swift to move us and we had a great evening.

We had an exceptional tour and tasting experience at Bouchard Aîné et Fils in Beaune this weekend! Our tour guide is called Marie Mathilde and her English is excellent. Her passion for wine and the domaine is obvious and she made the tour very interactive. There was just one other couple signed up with us so it was an intimate setting where we were able to ask as many questions as we wanted. The domaine is beautiful and the tour takes you throughout their caves and various gorgeously-appointed tasting rooms. 100% recommend!

Well worth the money as you get samples of very good and expensive wines as well as a custom glass of the site. However, our guide was not that enthousiast which was a bit sad. It was clear that he had a bad day and just wanted to get over with the tour.

While their wine tasting wasn’t available, they kindly offered to give us a free wine tasting if we just bought a bottle of wine. We had a fabulous afternoon, visiting one of the plots and then tasting 8 wines! My partner and I had never fully experienced a wine tasting and we were recommended to see Myriam by a family friend. The hosts were amazing and super insightful with near perfect English. Cannot recommend this tasting experience enough and look forward to buying more delicious wines in the future!

Pinot Noir from Burgundy is well-structured and far more sophisticated than many Napa counterparts, which I find somewhat overpriced. The flavor profiles vary greatly depending on the winery and vintage. The Chardonnay also stood out, especially when served at the proper temperature. We particularly enjoyed the Saint-Aubin Premier Cru Les Champlots 2022 Blanc from Domaine Gilles Bouton et Fils (Vivino rating 4.0). Its floral and fruity notes of peach, apricot, and lemon, combined with a buttery hint and balanced acidity, made it exceptionally refreshing on an early summer day. We purchased a bottle and savored it back at our hotel. The wine glasses we used during tasting became a store souvenir. It’s a pity that both red and white Burgundy wines are quite delicate and don’t travel well in summer heat. Nevertheless, this historical church-turned-boutique wine market is a true gem. I highly recommend this guided tasting experience, especially for visitors from outside Europe. Good value with pleasant surprises.

We took a 7 glasses wine tour in the store which has a great ambiance. The only downside of the tour was the wine itself. Even the more expensive and possibly better wines were not to the liking of a group of 6 persons. The fact that it was unanimously off was odd. Especially considering the price.
