1Onsen Hot Pools and Day Spa

Spa
Nestled in Arthurs Point, just a short drive from Queenstown, Onsen Hot Pools Retreat and Day Spa offers an exclusive and luxurious experience. The private cedar-lined hot tubs provide stunning views of the Shotover River canyon, making it a perfect romantic getaway. While the cost may be on the higher side, the experience is well worth it for couples looking to indulge in a unique and intimate retreat.
We had an amazing experience at Onsen Hot Pools! From the moment we arrived, the customer service was outstanding—friendly smiles all around the facility made us feel welcome immediately. The interior design of the waiting area is calming, relaxing, and warm, creating the perfect atmosphere while you wait for your session. There’s even a charging station if needed. We booked the original Onsen (soak only) during the evening. Even though the weather was rainy and we didn’t get to see a sunset, the views from the pool were still breathtaking. Each of us received a complimentary drink and snack, which were perfect for enjoying throughout our soak. The private pool room had some really handy features: you could easily add cold water, open and close the glass sliding cover, turn off the lights or the bubbles, and adjust settings to your preference. Staff also acknowledged the 15-minute warning call, giving us plenty of time to get ready to change and have a quick shower. Having a private shower in the room was very convenient, so we didn’t need to use the shared changing area. One small suggestion would be to add a mirror in the room, although mirrors are available in the shared changing area if needed. We really enjoyed this activity—it’s the perfect way to unwind with your partner, just talking, relaxing, and soaking in the views. The staff really accommodate your preferences, which is why I would highly recommend booking a session here. There are other activities offered at Onsen, but we didn’t have time to try them. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Queenstown, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

I am exploring the South Island from Townsville, Australia, and this was an experience that was on my “must do” to do list - and boy did it not disappoint. The entrance to the place was beautiful, smelled DIVINE, the staff were lovely and so accomodating. I instantly felt relaxed. I booked the “tri bath” experience for my partner and I, and I don’t regret it one bit - even the ice bath in 2 degree weather - was such a nice touch between the steam shower and hot spa. You receive your own private area/room, with a complimentary drink and snack and with an incredible view. It was honestly better than I expected it to be and I already had high expectations. The smell throughout the entire venue was so calming and smelt lovely. We will definitely be back, loved this experience so much. And worth the cost a million times over. Thank you for being so accommodating.
Jazi S — Google review
Amazing experience! By far my favorite thing we did in Queenstown. Extremely clean, quiet, private, and customized to exactly what you wanted. The views didn’t disappoint. Snacks and drinks were perfect. Sabah gave the best back massage I have ever had. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting some time to unwind and relax. We went the the last day we were in Queenstown, if I had been in town longer I would have booked again.
Danielle C — Google review
Recommend going to this ~~ Key highlights: * Affordable for what you get * Complimentary drink / snacks in your session * Lovely views We booked a private 60min onsen for ourselves and it was absolutely lovely. My friends and I really enjoyed chatting and relaxing, customer service was absolutely lovely. Interior was lovely and calm, clean, spacious. Just a heads up that the place itself, you have to go down flights of gravel steps, not a big deal since there were rails but we had a friend that was in a leg brace and it was slightly steep, so just be mindful when you go down. Even the ramp was loose gravel, so I can't imagine someone in a wheelchair making their way down with ease, I hope the business will take this into consideration and perhaps lay down a concrete ramp. :) 10/10
Jasmin V — Google review
The waiting area was lovely and the staff were very friendly, and I really appreciated the convenient shuttle service from town. That said, I found the value quite different depending on the time of day. During the day you can enjoy the views, but at night it feels harder to justify the same price, especially if the sky isn’t perfectly clear. Without the stars or scenery, there isn’t much to see, which was a little disappointing. One small suggestion: since everyone is bathing in wet togs, it would be helpful if plastic bags were provided to take them home in.
Phoebe — Google review
I booked this as a treat on our recent trip to Queenstown and it honestly met all my expectations. We booked the ‘Ultimate Relaxation Experience’ which included a 2 person soak in a private cedar-lined hot tub followed by a 1 hour treatment. The hot tub has spectacular views over the Shotover river and surrounding mountains. We opted to go just before sunset so we could admire the views in the light. I imagine if you went after dark with a clear sky, that would also be amazing! Drinks and snacks were included in the soak which was a nice touch. We then opted for the 1 hour treatment following the soak. I had a paradise bespoke massage and my partner had a deep tissue massage in a dual massage room. The massage beds were possible the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced. You are then led to a relaxation room where you are provided with a snack and a selection of hot and cold drinks to choose from while looking out at more stunning scenery. Advance booking is a must, as it can fill up quickly, especially during peak times. You can only book approx. 3-4 months in advance and we booked mid May for a mid Sept slot. The staff at Onsen were welcoming and attentive, ensuring a seamless and relaxing visit from start to finish. Whether you're visiting as a couple, with friends, or treating yourself to some solo pampering, a visit to Onsen Hot Pools is a must-do for anyone looking to experience Queenstown’s more relaxing side.
Kira S — Google review
Unfortunately we couldn't get a booking during day time. We had a late booking and the experience was still good. Our only real issue was that we were told they were providing slippers. I was going to bring my flip flips but didnt. Overall, try to get a booking during day time and bring your own flip-flops.
B. R — Google review
From the moment you walk in you're greeted warmly and escorted around to each of your treatments. The hot tub was just brilliant and the massage was the best I've had. You are introduced slowly back to reality with some tea. Ana and Ena were both amazing.

My Fiancée and I booked in for the couples massage with hot stones and indian head massage. The service from our chosen team members Kisi & Editha done an amazing job massaging us thoroughly alongside with the Indian head massage to top it off. The atmosphere in the room was so relaxing, we fell asleep couple times. Highly recommended this spot to anyone who works the hard hrs and needs a good massage to recover, totally worth it.

My partner and I had an amazing couples massage while visiting Queenstown. We were warmly greeted and welcomed in. Once ready, our therapists took us through to the comfortable warm room, sat us down and introduced themselves and asked us individually what we would like, a really nice personal touch!! The massage beds were comfortable and heated!!! How good. Both ladies (my partner had Maria, and I had Sulu) were very professional and kind! Absolutely taking on our requests as asked. I was very happy to walk away relaxed and refreshed, rather than sore (I always ask for a gentler massage). We will totally visit on our next trip to Queenstown, totally recommended. Value for money was great, on par with what we pay in Wellington.

Best massage of my life, I told Anita I had been skiing the day before and she targeted all the spots that needed it. One hour felt like 2 and I walked out feeling completely relaxed. Plus the place is absolutely gorgeous, 10/10 interior design.
Devon J — Google review
Had the 60 minute relaxation massage and it was fantastic! Staff are incredibly friendly and great at their job. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming on entry; highly recommend it.
James W — Google review
Best massage I've had in a very long time! Skilled and knowledgeable about the body, muscles and lymphatic system, they really worked wonders on my neck and trapezius muscles without hurting me. Highly recommend, we had the couples 1 hr massage.
Talisa M — Google review
I am traveling from Australia and was in search of a relaxing massage. Body Sanctum is that and so much more. I had a 60 minute relaxation massage and it was the best I've ever had. Beautiful ambiance in the waiting area and the spa room. Heated massage bed is a welcome touch in the colder months and my masseuse was incredible and provided the perfect pressure full body massage. Sad that it's not my local!! But will find myself booking another massage when I return to NZ again. I couldn't recommend this spa enough. If you're looking for a bit of time out for yourself and to be pampered this is the place to go! Thank you Body Sanctum!

What a way to finish my wonderful getaway to Queenstown. Layla was amazing. I loved every minute of my facial and massage
Danielle M — Google review
We had the surf/ski couples massage. It was an amazing from start to finish five star massage. We got to choose our aromatherapy oils and they targeted all of our sore spots. We (reluctantly) left feeling relaxed and refreshed. We would highly recommend And will certainly be back. Thank you, ladies.

I went for a facial with Keiko one of the masseuse , she was very professional and the treatment was excellent unwinding, relaxing and my face was feeling so refreshed. I did the collagen one. After I had a sauna session and left the spa floating in clouds! Definitely recommend the treatment and masseuse

I do not feel this was a 5 star experience. I booked a 90 minute relaxation massage at 6:45pm. The ladies asked I give them my room number as I was staying within the resort. When I did this they asked if I wanted an earlier appointment and I said no as I had dinner plans and was excited for my day to end with a massage. The day of the appointment I got two phone calls an hour apart asking to move my appointment forward to 5:30. I had already said yes the first phone call and felt that there was a lack of customer focus and more of a need to get out of work early. They then asked for payment as soon as I arrived and took me down to the ‘relaxation room’ which was just a room, nothing fancy or 5 star. Then was taken straight to the treatment and got the massage. The lady was very nice but the massage itself was not that great. I did not feel relaxed and felt like I was barely massaged. I have been to multiple 5 star spas before and I was given tea and forms to fill out upon arrival, taken to the change rooms and given robes, and the service was amazing…. But here I felt like I just walked into a massage parlour on the street.. if I wasn’t a guest at the hotel I wouldn’t have even known there was a pool and spa downstairs.. I wasn’t told there was a change room with showers.. I wasn’t hot towelled off completely only on my back? Once the treatment was done they sent me on my way. I am very very upset and disappointed especially considering I paid $229 for a massage…….

Huge thanks to the amazing and kind Eforea Spa reception team and my talented therapist - they all made us feel so welcome and relaxed. My therapist melted away all my travel fatigue; she knew exactly where to apply the perfect pressure, and I honestly didn't want the massage to end. My partner also had the two - hour Spring Package and absolutely loved it. - he said he's already planning to book again next year. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Queenstown!!
Aurie A — Google review
I had an amazing 90-minute treatment. My therapist was fantastic, and the receptionist was equally welcoming and professional. The facility was excellent, with a calm and quiet atmosphere since there weren’t many people around. I would highly recommend this place
Maav S — Google review
I came here for a couple's massage, and we both loved the experience. Everyone was polite, and the environment was relaxing. After our massage, we were not rushed out by the staff but were instead offered tea. We were then allowed to enjoy the beautiful view for as long as we wanted.
Troy B — Google review
Very disappointing experience for what's meant to be a 5-star spa. I booked a 90-min massage for my birthday and was told the next morning they could accomodate 30 minutes after my requested time. I replied to confirm within 30 minutes, only to be told all slots were suddenly full. I called five times — no answer. Eventually, I was offered a 60-min massage at 4 PM, which I couldn’t take due to childcare. I had taken the day off work for this. After finally speaking to someone via the hotel, the manager emailed two days later saying appointments aren't confirmed without payment — had I been asked for payment at any point I would have gladly provided. I explained my frustration and mentioned I’ve been a loyal customer (buying gift vouchers, using facilities regularly), but received no apology or solution. Extremely poor customer service. Won’t be returning.

Dalma is such a fantastic massage therapist! Had the most amazing deep tissue massage here, it was incredibly relaxing and one of the highlights of my trip. Couldn’t recommend more

One of the best massages I've had - special shout out to Severine who was such a good masseuse. She understood how to target the tension and relief pain from a previous injury. The massage had multiple different stages and felt really thorough and good value - will definitely be coming again!

First time getting a massage. I was a bit nervous. The staff were extremely friendly & knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable and the massage itself was amazing! I got a mix of harder and softer pressure and it was perfect. Definitely reccomend!!

Amazing Experience! Emma is incredible! The space is so calm and relaxing, and she really knows how to work out all the tension. She listened to what I needed and focused on all the right spots. I left feeling so much better—relaxed, refreshed, and pain-free. Definitely the best massage I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

The most relaxing and tranquil experience EVER. Fantastic pressure during the deep tissue massage, warm beds, beautiful decor and impeccable service and environment. Cannot recommend enough. I had a couples 60min massage booked during my trip to queenstown and it was the best decision I ever made 😊!

What a delight to practice in a real yoga studio - since COVID it’s been only on zoom for me. Being a yoga teacher myself in Canada 🇨🇦- I enjoyed following Sara’s vinyasa flow at Nadi Wellness. Mindful, creative & thorough. A lovely studio a short walk from my hostel. Thanks! Mji 🧘‍♀️

Spa
The Spa at Nugget Point Hotel offers a serene and inviting atmosphere, with beautiful and calming surroundings. Guests have praised the amazing experience of the private hot tub and pool, as well as the steam room, sauna, and marble bath. The spa's Roman bath inspired architecture provides an astonishingly stunning view of the Shotover River. Visitors have also highlighted the excellent service provided by attentive staff members.
My friend surprised me with this accommodation for my birthday trip and i was absolutely awestruck to say the least! Very much to my taste! Everything was amazing and the hotel is so charming with a homely atmosphere and beautiful architecture and antique inspired furnishings which i adored. Our room and the view was dreamy! Facilities and service were great! Nobody got in our way but were available when needed. We got to enjoy the gorgeous pool to ourselves as it wasn't busy. We only stayed 1 night which did not give us enough time to appreciate some things like the cute little library and the squah and the dining was closed during our stay which hopefully will be open the next time we visit. Breakfast was lovely with a stunning view and friendly service. We left with heavy hearts. Will be reserving at least 2 or more nights next time so i can spend more time in and i absolutely cannot wait to revisit this iconic hotel!
Shama S — Google review
I was impressed with the room's interior and design. It felt very comfortable and luxurious, like staying in a 5-star hotel room. Unfortunately, the steam room was under maintenance, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of town, but it's not far from Queenstown Airport. I would book it again for a peaceful stay.
Cheng C — Google review
We didn’t stay here but had the one hour out door spa and one hour massage experience. The view from both the spa and the massage room was breathtaking. Staff were lovely and helpful. Great massage skill. Only thing I’d recommend would be maybe provide a bath robe for between spa and massage room.
Debbie Y — Google review
We had a fabulous night in the river view room. The view was spectacular. The bed was comfy and pool and sauna was very relaxing. The outdoor hot tub also had great views and would be fantastic on a cold winter day or night. Viceroy provided excellent customer service. He went above and beyond to make our stay extra special and we would definitely stay here again thanks to him :)
Michelle L — Google review
Very run down hotel. Wonderful views and location but so rundown and many things out of order! Sauna closed, don’t use the bath because hot water is being upgraded, no chef for the restaurant so it’s closed too. Taps loose as a goose, door hinges falling off kitchen. Can hear the tv and people next door. Poor upkeep makes it feel old and unclean, maybe because it is. Shame given it must have been grand once. Skip this one. Beautiful location if you find another place nearby with the views. The Hilton is a better choice on the lake.
Anthea — Google review
It was a good relaxation stop after some adventuring activities. If you are using the public spa note it is actually a pool and sauna, with no jets of water nor a dedicated cold soak. With that said, for $25 for a 2 hour session it is reasonable. The interior is lined with limestone and marble fittings and the water pour shower in the cold setting makes for a great reset after a sauna session.
Yunfei O — Google review
Such a stunning location and at a very affordable price (at least when we got it). A bit old fashioned but it adds to the charm and you really can’t beat the view. The pool is great and they also have their own masseuses and outdoor spa. The dinner we had there was also one of the best meals we had while in Queenstown.
Kathleen — Google review
We made a last minute bookme voucher booking and we don’t regret it! We got access to the spa and had a couples massage. The entire experience was professional, extremely relaxing and enjoyable. The massages were fantastic, and we stuck around for another hour or so to make use of the sauna, pool and hot tub. For the discounted price ($150 for two), we thought that was good value.

LOVE, love, love this place. Family visited for a few days and we loved our experience here. The service from front desk staffs, kitchen staffs and cleaning staffs was beyond excellent. Everyone was respectful and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and the food was great. Breakfast was included during our stay and it was honestly just the best! The place is right in the centre of the city so everything is walk distance which was perfect for us to explore and pop out to different cafes and restaurants!!

The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help, making the whole experience feel welcoming. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—Novotel Queenstown Lakeside is the perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and breathtaking scenery. Highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Novotel and were thoroughly impressed with the service received. As soon as we walked in after a long flight, Dayana (I believe that was her name) attended to us and made the check in process so seamless. We were also impressed when the Guest Relations Manager, Christian walked us to our room. This friendly service continued through our stay. Nothing was too hard for them even as we made a personal request for our luggage to be sent over to another venue. Totally blown away by their impressive service!

Beautiful stay in Queenstown. Local to the main area and walking distance to everything in down town Queenstown. Magnificent lake views. Access to a great little bar and restaurant within the hotel. Lovely rooms with super comfy beds and pillows. All the staff were lovely and very accommodating! Looking forward to our next trip back and staying at the Novotel ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I stayed at Novotel Queenstown for three nights and absolutely loved it! The beds were phenomenal easily the best sleep I’ve had while travelling through New Zealand. Everything about the stay felt like home, from the cozy room to the friendly service. I already miss the room service, the fluffy robes, and especially the incredible buffet breakfast it had everything you could think of ! Out of all the places I’ve stayed so far, this has been my favourite hotel yet. Can’t wait to come back!

Stayed for two nights in Oct-25. Fantastic hotel, centrally and perfectly located, with very friendly staff who were polite and welcoming. They gave us umbrellas to take out when the rain was pouring, which we really appreciated, and we secured valet parking on arrival. My only gripe was that the room and in particular the bathroom were quite dated, although we were in the older side of the hotel.

Three star hotel at Novotel Queenstown The hotel feels more like a three-star property and could really use some refurbishment the rooms and common areas are starting to look a bit tired. The reception team were average, not overly warm or engaging. However, the breakfast buffet was a real highlight great selection and absolutely amazing staff Isabell was lovely who were friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Overall, a decent stay mainly thanks to the fantastic breakfast team! A no thrills place.

The Novotel Queenstown Lakeside was a beautiful hotel! The location was perfect... walking distance to everything in Queenstown. The hotel serves a very nice breakfast buffet and has a really great dinner menu. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. We loved staying there!

Alpine Aqualand is a spacious indoor athletic complex that offers a variety of pools and amenities for both adults and kids. It provides stunning views and additional services to ensure relaxation without breaking the bank. This indoor facility features a 25m-lap pool, a leisure pool, lazy river, waterslides, toddler play pool, and a large hot pool for soothing sore muscles. While the kids enjoy the slides and rivers, adults can unwind in the warming hot pool.
10/10, 5 stars, 2 enthusiastic thumbs up. I dont think I could rate this place any higher. If you have kids, and have some downtime in Queenstown then this is a must. With heated pools, dedicated toddler area, lazy river, general pool area, water slides, and a 45⁰ heated adult pool with outstanding views of the mountains, this place was fantastic. Excellent and well thought out layout, freindly staff, clean and well maintained, family change rooms, large general change rooms, togs "dryer" (great addition), and it seems to be disabled accessable as well with ramps into the pool and a mechanical chair lift into the adults pool. Note that the waterslides only work for a few hours a day so check the website for times. Well worth the visit even if you dont have kids, you will enjoy the hot adults pool.

As a former swimmer, lifeguard and traveller in New Zealand. I was thoroughly unimpressed with this pool. With very few amenities and an unwelcoming atmosphere I felt uncomfortable here. Upon arrival I felt an immense amount of discrimination towards backpackers/ travelers as it felt as though they did not want people there using the showers. I'm sure other people have had a better experience here, but it was not for me.
Harper S — Google review
A lot of rules for rules sake. We got told off because my 6 year old practicing 360s into the pool 😆 apparently someone decided “spins” were too dangerous. Also the 1.4m height requirement for the second slide is dumb. It’s a nice place with silly rules
Mike C — Google review
Nice big place with training pool, pool to do lengths, slide and shallower pool for the kids as well as a hot pool. I believe there is also a gym, cafe and shop. A sauna would make this place even better! Lady on the desk was lovely, very helpful and polite. Showers were a bit of a let down considering they charge $5 just for a shower if you don't swim.

Would have been helpful to let people know the pool swimming side of things is closed. After walking kms to get there to find out it’s closed doesn’t make me want to return zero stars for the experience

20241128 16:43 Bad experience. I came to swim to relax, and I was the only one standing there when I bought the ticket, and I said buy a ticket, but I was charged $12.2, the true price is $8. How did I find out about this problem? Because after I paid, I waited for the dark-haired brown-skinned lady to open the electric door for me, and waited for about 10 seconds, so I stood and looked at my phone, and I found out that I was overcharged. The last time I came to the swimming pool, this lady also had a poor service attitude. Overcharging and poor service attitude.
Lili Y — Google review
You have to try the hot pools in winter. It’s awesome. There’s a training pool, lap pool, lazy river and infant pool, also water slides that look fun although I haven’t tried them. The temperature within is pretty warm during winter which is nice. Only thing is the lap pool temperature is a tad cold for me so I can only do my laps in the training pool. Changing rooms and showers are big. There are paid lockers and free cubicles for you to store your bags. $8 entry for adults (non-members). There’s a cafe and shop selling swimwear outside too.

This place was therapeutic to me. I was at my lowest and have spent like 5-6 hours daily for months here. Just journaling, working out, swimming, then the hot pool. The staff is very friendly, the visitors are quite enthusiastic, the crew members are so supportive. And the trainers not only help you heal physically, but give you so much motivation, strength which in turns boosts your mental health as well.

Kamana Lakehouse is a chic boutique hotel located on a hillside with stunning views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables mountain range. The hotel offers modern, stylish rooms with options for private hot tubs and outdoor seating areas. Guests can enjoy free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and access to a restaurant and lounge bar. The high-altitude location provides an immersive experience in Queenstown's natural beauty.
My wife and I booked Kamana Lakehouse as our base of operations for our honeymoon, and were beyond joyed by our experience. The location just a short bus ride from Queenstown center gave us the distance we wanted away from any hustle and bustle you would expect from any busy resort town. The daily views of the lake and the surrounding mountains were the perfect start to each of our days. Our room was admittedly smaller than expected, but all of the amenities and features were so lovely it became the perfect fit just after the first hour. The Nest was the most surprising aspect for myself, as the daily breakfast we chose to include with our booking made every morning relaxing, delicious, and the perfect time to send photos to family back home! The Dinner and wine pairing we had the upon our arrival was fantastic, and worth a trip of its own! We had the good luck of being able to utilize the soaks a couple of times, and despite the construction being a slight obstruction, we were still able to relax completely each time we went down to the tubs. Our favorite part however was the staff. Kind, considerate, and thoughtful each staff member we had the pleasure of speaking with were some of the nicest people we met during our whole trip. All in all, our favorite stay yet and a big part of the reason our honeymoon was as lovely as it was!

We stayed at Kamana Lakehouse and all was as described we liked it a lot. What really got us impressed though was the great service and compassion of the staff and management to h3lp us b3hond policies and litigations. It is rare to find a bussiness that operates with integrity and love first and formost. We encoutered an issue in our stay which had nothing to do with the establishment but yet management stepped in and helped us out in a way we didnt expect. Thank you so much for that, it was really much apprechiated by our family. We commend you and we highly reccomend Kamana Lakehouse.

We spent 3 nights here & it was great! You’ll need a rental car if you’re staying up here instead of in the main Mariana area- but it’s so worth it!! The staff is very friendly. There’s a grocery store next door and a little local restaurant. We had an issue with our first room and they fixed it right away & moved us to a new room with a better view. The fireplaces in the bar area were super nice.
Victoria A — Google review
Gorgeous views included with comfy rooms and excellent shared spaces make Kamana Lakehouse a top place to stay. Our room had a beautiful view over the lake including a balcony. The bed was super comfortable and the reclining chair was super. I would definitely recommed staying here!
Tuomas L — Google review
Amazing views and great location. Echoing what few other folks said. Overall for the price this place is not worth it, the service was not great, the restaurant was OK, and rooms were fairly standard. Not bad, but not something you would expect for this level of a price. You’re basically just paying for the view which you can get much cheaper anywhere in Queenstown.
Michael B — Google review
$600 a night for pretty average service. The view is great but you could get better value for money. We stayed 4 nights and they didn't clean our sheets on the bed they just re-made the bed every day. The bar fridge doesn't work. We tried calling the front desk or room service on a number of occasions but no one answered. We were after a late check-out. Only 1 hour and guess what....that will be $50. These guys are all about the $$$ and don't give you the service unfortunately. Queenstown is amazing but don't waste your money staying at Kamana Lakehouse!
Rob G — Google review
Amazing view and great service! The reception staff were so friendly and helpful. They also have the top-rated TripAdvisor restaurant, Nest, which is understandably very hard to book. We were on the waitlist for both the restaurant and the hot bath, and were lucky enough to get into both with their help.
Emily — Google review
We checked into Kamana at 9pm and were immediately disappointed. Staff were rude and offered no help with our bags — hardly a warm welcome. I had booked what was advertised as a lake view suite with rolling grass access, but the room was small and looked directly onto a construction site. At no point during booking was this disclosed. At 10:30pm, I received an email from the hotel cancelling our hot soak for the next morning — the only reason I booked this property, for a romantic birthday getaway with my partner. No reason was given, and nothing was mentioned at check-in. When I called the front desk in the morning, the staff were again rude and unhelpful, saying it was cancelled because check-out was at 11am and the soak finished at 11:30am — yet they refused a late check-out. As a New Zealander, I found this really disappointing — this is not the Kiwi hospitality we’re known for. The overall experience felt careless, impersonal, and poor value for money. The finishes were cheap, the design felt tacky, and the service completely missed the mark.

Wow. Just beautiful hotel it is. The room we stayed had a beautiful lake view. Just so cool. Buffet breakfast everyday and they change hot food menu for the 7 days as well. Freshly made food. Just awesome. Highly recommended if you have the budget.

The hotel itself was great—clean room, comfortable bed, and friendly staff. The location was convenient for what we needed, and the amenities were decent for the price. However, one thing that really caught us off guard was the $100 per night hold on our credit card. We weren’t made fully aware of this ahead of time, and it added up quickly. It’s understandable to have a security deposit, but $100 each night felt excessive. Just be prepared for that if you’re budgeting your trip.

We had the best stay at DoubleTree. The location was amazing and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, and all the amenities were great. What made the stay so special was the staff’s hospitality and warmth. They were always so helpful. A special shoutout to Tini, who went above and beyond every morning at breakfast, to remember our order. She was so kind and warm, and it always made our morning. If we’re ever back in Queenstown, we would definitely stay here!

Great Location, But Basic Experience Overall The location is undeniably great — that’s the hotel’s strongest asset. However, beyond that, everything else feels pretty basic. A few things that didn’t sit well with me: Rooms: They’re quite dated and not well lit, which takes away from the overall comfort. Water Taxi: Guests have to pay NZD 10 each way to access the hotel. For a Hilton property, this should really be included or at least factored into the room rate. Dining Options: There are only two restaurants in the area. One was suddenly closed for a private event with no prior notice to guests. The other, Stacks, doesn’t operate daily — leaving very limited dining options. Credit Card Surcharge: I understand the 2% credit card fee is common in New Zealand, but I believe Hilton, as a global brand, could consider absorbing this cost as part of its premium service. Overall, I expected a bit more from a Hilton-branded property. The location is fantastic, but the overall experience could be improved with better communication, inclusivity of transport, and more consistent amenities.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for Sophia, the receptionist at Hilton Hotel. From the moment I arrived, she provided exceptional service with warmth, professionalism, and a welcoming smile that instantly made me feel at ease. Sophia was not only efficient with check-in, but also incredibly attentive to detail. She answered all my questions patiently, offered helpful tips about the local area, and went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Her positive energy and genuine care truly stood out. It's rare to come across someone who combines friendliness, efficiency, and professionalism so effortlessly. Sophia is a true asset to the Hilton team and played a big role in making my stay memorable. Thank you, Sophia! Let me know if you’d like to make it more personal or specific!

It’s rare to come across someone so genuinely committed to great service. Thank you, Sophia, for making our stay that much more enjoyable.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Queenstown and while the rooms themselves were beautifully presented, clean, and very comfortable – offering great layout and separation between the bedroom and living areas – there were several disappointing aspects to my stay that future travelers should be aware of. 1. Pool and Spa Access Misleading The biggest issue was the pool and spa facilities. The hotel is advertised across several platforms (and even shows photos) as having pool access, yet guests staying at the DoubleTree are charged an additional fee to use the Hilton's pool and spa, which is part of a separate building within the resort complex. This was not disclosed at the time of booking, and it feels deceptive – especially as this hotel shows photos of those very facilities as if they’re included. I booked this accommodation specifically after searching for hotels in Queenstown with a sauna, so this was a major disappointment. 2. Credit Card Charged After Checkout After checking out, I noticed an unexpected charge to my credit card. I emailed the staff member at the hotel immediately as he gave me his business card and received no reply. I then had to follow up with multiple emails to different staff members, including Hilton head office, before I was told it was a "system glitch." I had been told by another client who had stayed at the doubletree that this had happened to them as well. While the charge was eventually reversed, the lack of communication and transparency was frustrating. 3. Communication & Accountability Customer service after checkout was poor. It shouldn’t take four emails and escalation to Hilton to get a response to an unexplained charge. This, combined with the misleading pool advertising, really impacted my overall impression. That said, the rooms were a highlight – spacious, quiet, and very comfortable. The hotel is also well-situated with beautiful views in the surrounding area.

Stayed at the Double Tree for a few days following our elopement in Queenstown. The staff were absolutely amazing; every single interaction with them was kind and polite, even when just running into staff in the lifts etc. There was also a small gift waiting for us in our room as the hotel knew it was our honeymoon, which was such a lovely touch. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was made up and cleaned every day that we were there, including towels and consumables being replaced and bins emptied etc. We had a superior king room with a lake view, which was very lovely and quite spacious. I really enjoyed the layout which has the bedroom able to be closed off from the lounge/kitchen area. The kitchen has everything you might need for a longer skiing holiday (including a small oven!!). The only thing was could have been improved is the lack of privacy provided to the bathroom which is only separated by sliding glass panel which leaves about a 1inch gap when closed.

Sofitel Queenstown Hotel and Spa is a luxurious retreat in the heart of Queenstown, offering upmarket rooms and suites with French amenities. The hotel's spa provides a fusion experience, incorporating Maori massage therapies and Ataauhua body treatments alongside French-inspired treatments. The opulent decor pays homage to the region's mining history, while guests can enjoy two on-site restaurants and a cocktail bar.
had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The central location made it so easy to get around and explore nearby attractions, restaurants, and shops. The bed was extremely comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep after a busy day. On top of that, the service was excellent—the staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile.

Five nights in Queenstown were outstanding due to the Sofitel's fantastic staff in all areas, from reception at check-in and check-out to the restaurant staff and the concierge. Sofitel has a clear professional, friendly can-do service ethic, all in a great location in the middle of Queenstown. To top it all off the Spa massage and facial treatments were heavenly. We can't wait to return!

The Sofitel Queenstown is in a fantastic location — right in the heart of town and within easy walking distance to everything. You really can’t beat the convenience. Parking, however, is on the pricey side at $50 per night. Check-in was flawless, and the service throughout our entire stay was exceptional — staff were friendly, attentive, and made everything effortless. Our room was big, spacious, and looked recently renovated. The bathroom TV was a nice touch and added a bit of luxury. The main downside was our balcony. While it was huge, it opened directly onto a public walkway. There was no furniture on it, which I assume is because anyone could easily jump the small gate. It also felt a bit awkward having people able to see straight into our room — some frosted glass or glazing would go a long way. We ended up keeping the blinds closed the entire time for privacy. We visit Queenstown often and usually stay elsewhere, but decided to splurge on the Sofitel this time. While it’s a lovely hotel with great service and a perfect location, some of the cheaper stays we’ve had have been just as enjoyable.

Very charming hotel, excellent location, in the heart of Queenstown. Beautiful lobby. Wonderful breakfast spread in the mornings. Walking distance to restaurants, a supermarket, pharmacy, etc. The ski shops and transportation to ski fields are just across the street. Front desk manager Nico made me feel very welcome. I had minor issues with a couple of things in my room (slamming door due to poorly adjusted closer, dodgy room safe, bathroom sink tap that is complicated to operate) but overall, it was a very good stay.
Dennis L — Google review
The hotel was well located and in easy reach of all attractions. The breakfast was good - a fair amount of choice but lacked the variety of other Sofitels we’ve stayed at. The rooms were a decent size and well equipped. The facilities were good and the gym was very clean. The exceptional review though comes down to one person, Valerie Fernandez, she is the most welcoming and efficient worker we have encountered so far. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. She was professional and courteous, yet humble about what she was doing. We would stay at any hotel where she was. She is a real gem and we observed her interactions with other hotel guests who were equally enamoured by her. She knew guests names and addressed them accordingly. What a star!!! ⭐

*Update #2* finally received the invoice and funds were leased right after this was processed. If you would like to see evidence, please refer to the photos attached for date stamped. *Update* still no email or reply received. Invoice was not sent. Please refer to attached photo. Only email received was for a survey. Bank also confirmed hotel has not released funds. Extremely disappointed with the overall experience. Service was consistently slow and inefficient, and staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Both the Front Office and Reservations teams failed to respond to emails or address billing concerns raised, showing a clear lack of care. Until today they still had not released my credit card hold or issued the invoice k have requested. Been a week? I had to call several times and still not actioned. Very much like my unanswered emails … this review will also not likely to receive any response from this hotel.

This was our second ski holiday in Queenstown this year. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. We had a terrible experience with our stay here, such as conversations were audible from the footpath and restaurants across the street, staff were constantly moving furniture on the floor above our room that caused these loud and annoying scrapping noise, 7am the grease truck caused so much noise that sleeping was impossible, TV didn't even work, staff who checked us in was very unfriendly and lazy to explain all important arrival details and parking will cost about $50/day. Hence, we have booked with a different hotel for our spring ski holiday this September. Save your money and get a hotel were your get what you paid for and valued as a guest.

Loved our weekend at Nuggets Points. We were in one of river views room and the view is amazing. Room is very spacious and clean. Breakfast was great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It would be nice if there was a shuttle available or maybe have some Bus cards handy. The balcony outside the room we were in needs some blasting or cleaning. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I do not recommend staying here. We had numerous issues during our stay and were incredibly disappointed as it was our anniversary. When I booked I specifically requested their most popular room that was shown a lot on social media, with a gorgeous view from the bed and spa pool on the balcony. I described what I wanted to book view email and sent photos. I was confident I had booked that room and the staff member was helpful and friendly. When we got there we were greeted as if we should not be there and the staff were bored. We were taken down a long hallway and were outside a room and the concierge said, oh, wrong room. He took us back down the hall to another room - it was not the room I booked! The bedroom was separate so you could not see the view from the bedroom. The bed was in a separate room, it was dark and dingey, with old dusty furniture - not what you see on social media. The lamp was broken, curtains were dusty and broken, the blinds and windows were filthy with bugs and dust on the blinds and floor. The bathroom was incredibly dated and thete was a lot of mould in the shower. The entire room and bathroom, and furniture was incredibly dated. There was a spa pool on the balcony, but there was a direct view to the windows and balcony from the restaurant! I would expect all this from a poorly maintained motel! I let reception know that it was the wrong toom and they said there was nothing they could do because someone had just booked the room we were after/I had booked last minute! I think we were being taken to the correct room to start with then for whatever reason we were taken to that other mess. The pool room was freezing and the nice looking indoor bath was luke-warm. We could not use the hot pool on the balcony as it was not private and it was filled with leaves, bugs, and mould! To compensate we were taken to the 'movie theatre'. There was no fresh air, it was so dusty and smelt like mildew! We could not get anything to play so we left. The staff had zero interest that the room was incorrect and that it was filthy with broken fittings. It has taken a while to write this review because I have been too mad and disgusted. I found out later that the room we were put in was privately owned henced the very poor conditions! If you go there, only go for the restaurant or the spa services - both of which were fantastic. I am still so upset at the staff and the disgusting room and the fact that it was not what I had booked. I believe the first person that booked me via email did a good job, but after her the service was terrible. We were SO excited when we arrived, but within seconds of walking to reception, our excitement faded, only to be completely ruined by that room that nobody should have been booked in until it was cleaned top to bottom and all broken items fixed or replaced! Do not waste your money booking here! I see they are refurbishing - hopefully a change of staff too! None of them smiled, nobody said hello when we got to the counter - we were just stared at, it was just a horrible experience with staff that did not care at all. I'm still so mad I booked the gorgeous looking room and got put in that other mess. The photos I sent and links specifically showed a bed in the main area looking out floor length windows to the gorgeous view. Instead we were in a very dated creepy bedroom with minimal light and dusty blankets! I requested our money back so we could stay elsewhere as we had only just walked into that room and staff refused. I had selected to ensure it was fully refundeable as I can't trust flights leaving Wellington due to the weather. But because we had 'taken the room key' and entered the room, we could not be refunded even one cent. I still think that was utter bs from terrible staff. This place could be amazing! What a waste. The views are just stunning! The staff in the spa area at the time were lovely. Do not book to stay. Just take a day trip for the food and a massage. Seriously - so many bad memories here. Still so disappointed.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay. Although needing a bit of a spruce up in the decor department in some aspects, the room (suite with spa bath on balcony) was huge, and comfortable and the views were amazing and worth it in itself. Staff were friendly. And was great to have use of the squash court and sauna on hand too. If the hotel is reading this, I will say the couch in the suite is pretty uncomfortable and dated. So would recommend replacing that so it is usable! Hopefully some gradual updates will keep this place fresh and welcoming. Would come back. Thanks :)

Hotel was very dated… let it down a bit as we paid a lot to stay… staff were exceptional, everywhere was super clean and tidy, view was phenomenal, breakfasts were fantastic! Thought hard on how to score this. We've stayed here 5 times. Based on previous experiences.. I'd score them a 2-star now. However, other guests would be looking at it without knowing what it used to be like.. so I bumped it up to a 3. We used to love the fact that it had a complimentary hot spa. Now gone. Instead, there's a $99 an hour hot-tub outside. We used to like to get drinks at the bar or coffee and food and sit in the lounge area with the lovely view. It was shut off the whole weekend. Only open for dinner 3-hours, 2 nights a week (and they couldn't even do that while we were there). Steam room wasn't working. Asked for extra towels for the pool.. and there weren't any for a few hours till more arrived. Shower pressure wasn't good. All minor details probably.. but they just add up to an overall impression of very mediocre. The rooms are spacious.. but the place is tired. Service is good.

Enjoyed our stay and had a great weekend would definitely come again but place is tired and in need of maintenance we don’t feel it’s as luxurious as it used to be definitely a lot of room for improvement. Rooms were clean and tidy and stunning view absolutely well with paying for a river view suite. Minor cleaning details that could just make it a lot better - Skirting boards and door handles were dirty, scuff marks on walls, bathroom floors dusty, hairdryer didn’t work. Spa for use seems to no longer exist but can use one for $99 for an hour, steam room wasn’t working for our stay. Pool and sauna is great. It’s a shame as only 2 of the 4 facilities we wanted to use were available. Overall was a great stay but probably could get a more luxurious stay elsewhere for the price.

This was a great tour and the lunch was delicious at Kinross and we got to try many wines at the 3 Wineries we visited. Despite having only two of us booked for the tour, unlike most companies they still went ahead with it. The pick up details were precise and our Driver/Tour Guide, Claire was brilliant, she is full of tips on things to do in Queenstown and places to eat. The company had been recommended to me by a friend who’d been before and she was totally right, I can’t recommend Queenstown Wine Trail Tours highly enough.

Fantastic day with Andrew on our private tour. He was knowledgeable, entertaining (and long suffering!). We were treated so well at all the wineries we visited with private tastings, in some amazing settings, and our lunch & wine (included) were beautiful. This is the way to do it!

THE best wine tour ever. So much fun! T was our tour guide for the afternoon, very knowledgeable and fun. T seemed to have a great relationship with all of the staff at each vineyard, which made the experience that little bit more special. If there were any wines you weren’t as keen on he would find an alternative for you. Endless jokes and entertainment. Mt. Rosa was my favourite vineyard, beautiful wines 👌🏻. Great banter, great times! Highly recommended! Thank you!

Amazing tour! Andrew was great, the wineries were amazing, and despite the weather it was one of the best wine tours we have done !!

Had a great experience with Queenstown Wine Trails from start to finish. Andrew made it super easy to book and add people and also made it super easy for our 4 month old to attend her first wine tour! Our guide Claire was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and gave our little bub so much attention so we could enjoy our wines. Bus was also comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!

Just had an incredible remedial massage with Megan, and we’re so glad we booked with her! She accommodated both my husband and me, and her technique was amazing — firm enough to work out the knots, but still relaxing. We both walked out feeling lighter and so much more relaxed. She also took the time to give us helpful aftercare tips, which we really appreciated. Plus, she’s Southern Cross Easy-Claim affiliated, which made the entire process super smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend if you're needing some muscle relief or just a good reset!
Imee S — Google review
I had an amazing massage session with Megan and couldn’t be happier with the experience. She listened attentively to my needs and used just the right pressure throughout the deep tissue massage. I walked out feeling completely relaxed and pain-free. Professional, intuitive, and truly gifted—highly recommended

Wonderful 60 minute Locals massage with Megan. Great for my aging body and all the sore spots. Good strong pressure that gets into those tight muscles but not unbearable. Would certainly go again! Thank you Megan

Megan came well recommended and for good reasons too. She is a skilled massuer who is personable too. Will be back for more sessions in the future. Her clinic has good access for anyone with mobility issues , and there are several convenient parking spaces for clients.

This is one of the nicest spas I have been to in New Zealand. It's not beds in a room divided by a curtain. The separate rooms are very clean and hygienic. The staff are well trained and professional and the prices are reasonable. I can not recommend this place enough. I will return.

I came with my friend for her birthday and it was everything we were looking for. We choose the Oil relaxing massage. The place is clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and very good massager's. And it end it with a very testy ginger tea

Very friendly staff and clean venue, met Jenny and the team here whilst me and my wife were on holidays. We stayed at a hotel that offered spa and massage but decided to try a local place out instead. So glad we found this place, newly opened with traditional Thai massaging and reasonably priced. The place was very new with clean facilities that cater for couples. The ginger tea after massaging was a nice touch. Felt very relaxed and will definitely come back next time where in NZ!

Anyone staying near the airport in Queenstown, you must go this spa for Thai massage! After a couple of days ski and boarding, our body were a bit sore and tired, and we found this place and amazing people in the shop. We had 30 mins of foot massage, and they offered us a short shoulder massage (which was amazing!) and ginger tea afterwards. Tea was very refreshing and give us relaxation. Another day after ski, we wanted to give it ago with 1 hr sport massage, Paul and Katrina welcomed us very kindly, and their massage was amazing experience for both of us. Very well treated and relaxed. I tried many spa in NZ while travelling but this was the one of top so far. If you live/visit Queenstown, please go and try 😊 very nice place and people there for you to relax. Paul and Katrina they are the masters!

Highly recommend Amy! Started the experience with filling out a form to inform them of our expectations and any issues I had, then a consultation of what to expect during the session. Amy ensured I was comfortable from start to end. And zero pressure to purchase products, which I appreciated unlike other day spas.

Amy was absolutely amazing in ensuring I was comfortable during my pregnancy massage. She is so highly skilled, and knew exactly which areas of my body to focus on to release pressure whilst helping me to relax. Highly recommend Endota and specially Amy.

I had a Bliss Me Full Body Massage for 60 min today. My therapist was Anna. I would recommend Anna as a therapist! She is very friendly and made me feel welcome and relaxed from the start! She has magical hands and gave good advice. Thank you, Anna! The Bliss Me Full Body Massage left me feeling relaxed and tension free! Just what I needed!

I found out that Forme spas in NZ have recently been acquired by Endota Australia, which explains why it was such a similar experience. The spa is beautifully styled and immerses you in a sense of calm as soon as you step in. Their massages are a little light for my preference (same as Endota back home) but are nonetheless a blissfully relaxing pampering experience. Staff are also professional and accommodating.

Happily recommend Forme Spa QT!! We (myself and 3 daughters) got our hair and make-up (myself and 1 daughter) done on the 13/08/19. So happy with all the work and how kind and patient the staff were, especially with my little 2yr old who I think ate about 4 cookies... Oh and also thanks for providing the lip colour for the day it was awesome!

A beautifully serene day spa in the middle of Queenstown central. I booked in for a full body scrub just hours before my appointment and everything went so seamlessly. Sheetal made me feel so welcome and relaxed throughout my appointment. Plus the treatment left my skin feeling amazing! I’ll definitely return to Forme Spa again 😊
Lisabertha C — Google review
The only salon I will visit for my brows! Sheetal has such an amazing energy from the moment you walk in! She is so genuine and always ensures i'm relaxed during my treatment, especially with the use of calming essential oils. There is so much effort and attention to detail to make sure my brows are on point and she has shaped them beautifully over the past year. I will always recommend Forme Spa for their luxury service! I would love to see Forme Spa potentially bring in new treatments like Brow Lamination and Lash Lifts for the future!
Olivia L — Google review
Lovely lovely staff however I booked a gel mani removal and a nail file was used to remove the gel. There was no mention of this on the website and had I known acetone wouldn’t be used, I wouldn’t have booked. It was a 15 minute appointment, which I was a few minutes late for, however there was still gel on my nails following the appointment, my skin on my pinky finger had been filed too (painful when washing my hands), and the remaining nail dust was rubbed into my hands (no damp towel or brush used to remove). My nails are now really scratched and I’m asking my normal nail tech how to fix this. Lovely team but won’t be returning unfortunately. In the photos attached I’ve used my nail oil in the first image to try and get some life back into my nails.

I only have good things to say about this place! The service was outstanding from start to finish — warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The rooms were super comfortable, with heated floors that made all the difference during the cold days. The views were breathtaking, and the breakfast was simply amazing — fresh, delicious, and with plenty of options. Truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had in Queenstown. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for two nights and it was absolutely incredible. From the warm and attentive staff to the breathtaking views over breakfast, every detail felt special. The food was delicious, the service was seamless, and the complimentary shuttle into town made everything so easy. Truly a remarkable stay, we didn’t want to leave!

What can I say about this place? Pictures simply don’t do it justice. The staff were incredibly attentive yet laid-back, and truly made our stay special. The hotel itself was beautifully maintained, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. I loved how quiet and secluded the area was – it made for such a peaceful retreat. The daily canapé hour was a wonderful touch, as was the full breakfast each morning. I would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Truly a spectacular place!

Great location outside of town, the most friendly people-very accommodating for vegans. Loved our stay! Everyone was so easy to talk to and had great suggestions throughout our stay. They even had vegan treats for us during turndown service! And the night sky is breathtaking from this location! Make a point to spend a lot of time on the lanai in the evening! One of my favorite parts of the stay!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Azur Luxury Lodge. The staff was exceptional—professional, caring, and very helpful—from booking and tours to check-out. The lodge is beautifully styled, cozy, and very comfortable. The highlight was the stunning view of the Remarkables; I couldn’t take my eyes off the starry sky through the window at night. Additionally, they offer a free chauffeur service to town once a day, which we used every night for dinner. It was incredibly convenient and made our evenings effortless. Overall, Azur Luxury Lodge offers a blend of comfort, style, unforgettable scenery, and thoughtful amenities. We highly recommend it for a memorable and scenic retreat.

Azur Lodge was everything we were hoping for and more. The view is truly incredible, the villas are divine and equipped with everything we needed and the service was exceptional. Words do not do justice to the stay we have just had at this beautiful lodge. Thank you for a week we will always remember.

Comfortable quiet couple villas set on a steep slope with great views, whirlpool tub, double sinks, heated floors, strong water pressure, plush bed with excellent privacy 5 mins drive to Queenstown in the right direction to avoid traffic congestion Distinguishing factor: Particularly excellent service and great unobtrusive housekeeping I would like to especially commend Nadi for her excellent service and coffee making skills Great varied breakfast - both buffet and ala carte Able to help with Uber Eats delivery, reheat the food and deliver piping hot with proper cutlery Tips: For one of the best walks in the nearby area - head to Moke Lake for beautiful reflections in a still lake and super friendly ducks (bring duck food!) note: bring sun protection or even an umbrella as most of the walk is not shaded. Another v strong contender for best easy walk would be the walk around Lake Hayes. Much better than Glenorchy or Lake Wanaka Also highly recommend The Bunker for excellent food & highly recommend their Brussel Sprouts Best activity - over the top helicopter full day excursion ride

Wanted to shop in store however staff are overly eager to assist no matter how many times you tell them you don’t require any assistance! Heard one staff member tell another shopper on the way to the changing rooms “I’ll see you in two minutes.” Um, okay! Sometimes, less is more. A simple “Please let me know if I can assist at any stage.” will suffice! I’ve given up going into the store now. It’s just overbearing and really pushy.

We were definitely looking forward to trying out a float tank as part of our Queenstown trip and we loved it! The whole experience was worth it. Found a great deal on Bookme. The facilities are awesome - clean, chic interior, and other great offerings. Friendly staff member (Patrick) did a great job showing us around and explaining everything we needed to know. We loved spending time in the relaxation room after our floats and enjoyed the lemon-salt shot and some peppermint tea to help rehydrate. You definitely feel super relaxed coming out of the pod. I would definitely do this again and highly recommend!

It was over to soon, would recommend and would go again

Fantastic experience & service. Wasn't sure what to expect as we'd never done anything like this before. Everything was explained clearly to us. We had a welcome introduction, lovely float & enjoyed the relaxation room afterwards. I did feel I got cold near the end of the float probably because I didn't fully close the capsule but the lady was lovely & said if I was to come back they'd make sure the water was slightly warmer. Feel like I've had great nights sleep ever since! Will be back & definitely recommend the experience to others :-)

I don't normally write a review but I definitely have to for SALT as I had the best experience in my life. I cannot find is the best word to describe my experience as THIS IS SO GOOD AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Staffs are friendly. The whole atmosphere in SALT made me feel relax, everything is nice and clean. Your own room, own shower and own spa. The floating is amazing as you won't be able to feel any weight, I haven't been that relax for so long and I totally in love with the spa. A massage after spa is the best combination. Can't stop recommending this to my friend after the experience and I will definitely come back again.
Angel — Google review
Had the 60min massage by Juliana, it was divine. She took the time before starting to ask about what I needed, the strength I preferred, and continued to check if the pressure she was using was fine with me even after starting the massage. The massage bed was heated with an electric blanket, music was relaxing and perfect, and the blankets and towels were very comfortable. I prefer deep pressure with lots of strength, and Juliana provided that up to a level that was effective but not unbearably painful (unlike the numerous massages I’ve had in south east Asia). At certain trigger points she exerted more focus and pressure, to loosen the knots and I could feel the tingles when she did. I brought a body full of tension and knots in my shoulders and upper back and glutes, and although it wasn’t fully worked through (I didn’t expect them to be either since those accumulated through many many years), I definitely feel a difference after the massage ended. If you need to use the shower after the massage you gotta book that in, I didn’t know that but she allowed me to use it real quick after the session to rinse off the massage oil. They were gracious about it too. I would go back again (:

We had a wonderful time. Wendy and David were very kind and taught us a lot about New Zealand. We had an unforgettable stay at Hidden Lodge, thanks to David and Wendy’s warmth and hospitality. The views of the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu are so beautiful, and the rooms make good use of the scenery. David and Wendy were exceptional hosts. David’s breakfasts were absolutely delicious, fresh and well prepared. When my fiancée slipped in the bathroom and got injured, Wendy was quick to help. She drove her to the hospital and waited until we were safe in the hands of nurses.  It was a big relief and her efforts are much appreciated.  Her kindness turned a frightening moment into a manageable one, and we’ll never forget it. Hidden Lodge truly felt like a home away from home. We can’t wait to return and happily recommend it to everyone. Thank you, Martin

What can I say!! We spent ten wonderful nights at Hidden Lodge only two weeks ago and my husband and I wish we were back there still. Wendy and David made us feel like part of the family by the end of our stay. Stellar hosts, fabulous breakfasts, views to die for, spacious rooms, quiet (thats a big one for me), comfortable beds, so clean you could eat off the floor....lol Nothing was too much trouble. Wendy is a gem, a mind of information and David, well, he's a terrific character and a great chef. Just a breeze to come and go and just far enough away from all the chaos in Queenstown, so private, so delightful! We will be back!!

What a lovely stay, the location just outside Queenstown has the most amazing views of the lake and the mountains. The hosts David and Wendy were lovely people. We spent a night in ordered uber eats and sat by the fire. Was amazing. The hot tub you can get aswell by advising the owners 24 hours in advance and it is well worth the small price. Would stay here again, thanks again Wendy and David

We simply couldn’t leave this wonderful hotel without sharing a few words. Wendy and David are truly the most amazing hosts anyone could wish for. We chose New Zealand as our honeymoon destination, and coming all the way from Portugal (literally the other side of the world), we arrived exhausted and jet-lagged… but we couldn’t have dreamed of a warmer welcome. From the endless thoughtful tips for our trip, restaurants reservations, to the cozy breakfasts with stunning mountain views, we felt so genuinely cared for every single moment. We will definitely be back one day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything! Diana and José

My family and I had an amazing 6 days at Hidden Lodge, largely due to our wonderful hosts Wendy and David. Don’t get me wrong, the lodge was lovely, very cosy with beautiful views and the most delicious breakfast cooked by David (an ex chef) but it was Wendy and David’s warmth and hospitality that made it such a memorable experience. In fact my 17 year old son said he would definitely return to Queenstown with his mates and would choose to stay with Wendy and David as he knows he would be well looked after!

The boutique hotel boasts tastefully decorated five-star rooms with cozy stone-clad fireplaces for winter and spacious balconies for summer relaxation. Guests can enjoy personalized service in the 10 spacious suites, which can be arranged with super-king or twin bed layouts.
My wife and I recently travelled to Queenstown for 5 nights, and we were lucky enough to stay at The Spire Hotel. What a fabulous place to stay. The room had everything from an electric fireplace to a massive king bed and a stylish bathroom, but the difference between this Hotel and the rest, is the staff. From Thibaut and Maddie in the bar/restaurant to all of the front desk staff, they were all so welcoming and friendly, and genuinely took an interest in our daily plans and activities, and provided tips and insights to this great part of the world. When I next return to Queenstown, I will definitely be staying at The Spire Hotel again.

Absolutely a top notch stay in Queenstown 🙌🏼 We stayed in Room10 - lovely outlook of the town - mountains behind. The room had everything a luxury room offers - amazing products; heated towel racks; fire place - turn down service. We did the Luxury Escapes offer which included alacarte breakfast and the meals & service were spot on. We ate at The Grille - sister property at Eichardts Private Hotel - delicious food. Amazing outlook - well worth a visit. If there was one little negative - it would be that the TV is a tad low for when watching it from bed late or early. Could he 30cm higher - that’s it.

In theory this should have been a wonderful stay but in reality it certainly wasn’t. What you’d think would have been a fabulous location (because it was close to the beach/lake, botanical gardens, gondola, eateries, bars, shops etc, etc - sounds great right?!) actually turned out to be a bad choice of location. The Spire is located in a quaint little lane way that you’d expect would be quiet BUT, be warned…..The Club (adult entertainment and strip club is located opposite the front door of the hotel) so you get nothing but noise from party goers and thumping music until at least 2:30/3:00 am. The staff were nice, the rooms were good and the turn down service was very good but if you can’t get any sleep then what’s the point of saying you’re ‘on holidays’??? In another location this boutique hotel could have been fantastic but they charge an arm and a leg considering the noise (apparently The Club isn’t open on Monday nights so maybe stay at The Spire then). It’s an ideal place for young people to stay if they want a holiday that involves night clubbing and partying but it certainly wasn’t suitable for us (in our 60’s). No parking is available either so on top of what we already had to pay, we also had a $40 per day parking/valet charge. Sorry The Spire, but did what you charge, we expected to be able to sleep but found all 3 nights pretty bad with Wednesday night being atrocious - would hate to be there on the weekend when things really ramped up.

Lovely hotel, great position apart from overnight - the noise from the club across the lane disturbed us. All other aspects of this hotel were excellent

Nestled in the mountains of Queenstown, Hot Tub on the Hillside offers a secluded and private experience with stunning views of a small lake. Unlike other hot pools that may be crowded, this hidden gem provides a singular hot tub for private bookings. Guests praise the helpfulness of John, who provides detailed responses to inquiries. Amenities such as towels, drinkware, a Bluetooth music player, and umbrella hats are provided upon confirmation of booking.
10/10 would recommend! John was very accommodating.. my sister had a flight mishap and couldn’t make it for an extra few days. John was very accommodating and adaptable. The communication was excellent. Most importantly the hot tub and scenery itself was one of our highlights. The views were impeccable and watching the colours change on the mountains during dusk was unreal. Thank you for an amazing experience 💫

John and the team were great! What a view and afternoon. We enjoyed a bottle of red overlooking Coronet Peak!! Towels, water was included to. Would highly recommend.

Such a incredible experience!! My partner surprised me with the hot tub on the hillside after proposing. At first I was quite unsure where I was headed but once we arrived to the little cabin and made our way along the hill I was just in awe! Such a tranquil place. The instructions given were easy to follow. Next time we would have brought a cute picnic and some bubbles but it was the perfect spot to relax and take in the day. The cabin was wonderful! It included robes, a change area (with charging ports and a bathroom. No need to worry when arriving 🙌🏻 it’s prepped for you!!! I would highly recommend to couples, friends or even family. Definitely add this to your list to book (and book early!)

Absolutely recommend, we had such a great experience at Hot Tub on the Hillside. John was very helpful and communicative when I first reached out with a couple of questions, and sent detailed info prior to our arrival. We had the hill top tub and the details were well thought out, such a great way to spend the afternoon!

This has definitely got to be one of the most relaxing and peaceful experiences of my life. Honestly the most perfect place to unwind and just loose yourself in the beauty of nature around you. My wife and I absolutely loved it at the cliffside tub, I cannot recommend this enough, if you are in Queenstown 110% recommend to do this . Also for what you pay for and the time you get at the tub is amazing! (I preferred this over the other hot springs/pools in the area) 😁👍

Definitely one for the books.. Bucket list ticked! John is so helpful answering all my queries, quick and detailed reply. I was hesitant to book knowing the weather forecast prior was raining.. Then few days to confirmation, it was cloudy with rain showers so I decided to give it a go. Then today, beautiful and sunny weather. Amazing! Directions will only be provided once bookings are secured and payment is confirmed. Towels, water, drink wares, and bluetooth music player, umbrella hats are provided. Has good 4G signal which lets you upload real time photos. Thank you John for the experience, this place is amazing, peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommended when you are in Queenstown!

I had an amazing experience at the Beauty Lounge! I booked a 90-minute Luxury escape session, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Sheetal was incredibly skilled, adjusting the pressure perfectly to relieve tension in my shoulders and back. The spa itself was beautifully designed, with a calming atmosphere, soft lighting, and soothing music. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and relaxed. I also loved the little details—warm towels, herbal tea after the treatment, and the overall attention to comfort. I left feeling completely refreshed and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I got my eyebrows shaped, tinted and laminated by Sheetal who did an incredible job! She is such a lovely lady and put me at ease very quickly. She was very gentle and has a great eye for detail - my eyebrows have never looked so good! I would highly recommend her to anyone, and will be coming back regularly 😊
Amy N — Google review
Sheetal did an absolutely amazing lash lift and brows for me. She was not only a master at what she does but such a kind, friendly person. The whole experience was so relaxing and I’m so happy with my lash lift and brows. You can definitely trust Sheetal to give you the best brows and lashes of your life ☺️
Stephanie U — Google review
I had the most wonderful one hour relaxation massage today with Sheetal. Just the right amount of pressure, with special attention on the areas I mentioned were holding tension and pain. The background music was perfect, the whole experience was pure bliss after 3 days of cycling and I highly recommend her as a massage therapist!
Pip D — Google review
Did a lash lift + tint and brow lamination a few days ago. She was really nice, friendly and it was so cozy, but I am really disappointed by the treatment. It looks good - but the brow lamination seems like it had been 2 month ago (it is not really laminated anymore) and it was just 4 days ago and with the lash lift the same. The worst part? Ink from the the lash tint got on my skin under my eye and even today, after four days, it still looks like I cried and I have mascara under my eye because of the tint. Wouldn’t go there again - especially because it was 200 dollar for both of it. Got it way better in other countries while traveling.
Olivija Z — Google review
Had a wax and a lash lift. Sheetal did an absolutely amazing job. She is not only super nice but also professional and great at her job. Super gentile and matching my eyebrow colour perfectly to my light blonde hair (not an easy job for others as it’s often to dark) I would definitely recommend booking a treatment ☺️
Melanie R — Google review
Sheetal took such a good care of me! ❣️1.5h in pure bliss, the whole experience was wonderful and I walked out with perfectly done lashes and brows. Highly reccomend to treat yourself here!
Elza R — Google review
