Flamingo Gardens is a delightful family-friendly destination that combines the beauty of nature with wildlife conservation. Spanning 60 acres, this botanical garden and wildlife sanctuary showcases an impressive array of trees, plants, and orchids alongside over 3,000 rare and endangered animal species. Visitors can immerse themselves in daily wildlife encounter shows or hop on a narrated tram tour that takes them through three distinct ecosystems within the gardens.
Absolutely Fantastic! Thanks Laura, Hawk Lady, for your generosity and kindness in giving us a tour and showing us a beautiful time and place. Flamingo Gardens was a Major Blessing, and turning Point in my Life. It was a really special experience. Laura and the crew does a wonderful job! I have lived here in Florida for over twenty years and did not know about Flamingo Gardens. You see, God saved the experience for a time in my Life, when it would have the greatest impact. Many of you who follow my reviews are sure to understand. This was a very special experience and meaningful day.

Enjoyable day at the Flamingo Gardens. Ride the tram…it starts every 30 minutes. It’s a nice way to more while walking less. Have your camera ready. So many beautiful birds here! Bears, bobcats, & gators, oh my! There are animal exhibits which my kids loved. The otter habitat was by far the fave. They spent near 30 minutes watching them swim and play. We did not eat onsite, but there is food available. They also have seasonal events that are really cute. Good place for kids that easily get overstimulated with crowds.
Gina R — Google review
Amazing experience! Beautiful gardens. Well preserved. Lots of rehabilitated and rescued animals to appreciate. Employees are very friendly and informative. The visitors could be a little loud and ornery yelling at animals and playing videos to get them to dance. I wish there were more signs and employees sharing appropriate etiquette. The animals deserve quiet. Despite the visitors being a little much, this place is a true gem. Hope to come back many times.
Stephanie M — Google review
Flamingo Gardens completely blew me away. The gardens are gorgeous with so many different plants, flowers, and trees that it feels like you are walking through a tropical paradise. The animals are amazing too. The flamingos were so fun to watch, and I loved seeing the peacocks wandering around. The staff and volunteers were friendly and clearly care about the animals and the gardens. The tram tour was a nice bonus and a relaxing way to learn more about the history and plants. You can tell they put a lot of effort into keeping everything clean and well cared for. It is such a peaceful and happy place to spend a few hours. I highly recommend visiting if you are in Fort Lauderdale or even if you live nearby. You will definitely want to come back.

Fun and educational. We loved the tram, old family house, and all the rescued animals. Thanks for rehabilitating injured wildlife Flamingo Gardens staff

We went Monday right when they opened. We were one of a few cars in the lot and had the place to ourselves for the first 45 minutes. School children came in by bus by 11 and it was packed. Flamingos, tropical birds that have been injured. They have tons of exotic flowers and plants, mango trees, alligators, ibises and an adorable pink & white bird named Geronimo who played peek a boo with us. She told us “bye” while the macaws Tiki & Tiny told us “hello”. We spent 2.5 hours there. The tram ride around the property to the succulent garden and butterfly tent are beautiful!
A. M — Google review
My family had a day to spend in Fort Lauderdale and we decided to visit Flamingo Gardens. The place is so amazing, staff was very nice and friendly, lots of beautiful birds and very playful otters. You could also feed friendly flamingos. It was nice to hide in the shade from the hot sunny weather. The train ride was cool too with a very interactive guide/ driver who also explained the history of the park. We highly recommend it.
Natasha D — Google review
What fun and beautiful place. Our favorite of course was feeding the flamingos and talking with the crows 😍. We had the best time. The otters were napping while wee were there so hoping to catch them next time. You could spend HOURS here and not see it all. Definitely worth the visit. They do offer a military rate as well!

Rodeo
Located in Davie, Florida, the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds has been a major tourist attraction for over 40 years. Originally established as a rodeo arena, it has evolved to host a wide range of events including top-name concerts, monster trucks, horse and dog shows, car shows, air boat shows, specialty events and industrial showcases. The venue draws professional competitors from around the world and is known for its diverse offerings that cater to various interests.
Totally different and Great experience! Bergeon Rodeo Ground is a fantastic venue for rodeo events and outdoor gatherings! The atmosphere is authentic, capturing the true spirit of rodeo culture. The seating offers great views of the action, and the grounds are well-maintained and spacious. Whether you’re there for a thrilling rodeo, a local event, or just to enjoy the outdoors, this place delivers a memorable experience. The staff and organizers do a wonderful job of keeping things running smoothly, and the community vibe makes it even better. Highly recommend for any rodeo fan!
Jou P — Google review
Nice Rodeo grounds, good for family fun for all ages. Parking was a bit of a mess to get in and out of the arena. Food and drinks served here, kid activities and vendors set up for the Rodeo nights. Most likely Sells out of tickets before the show!
Allison — Google review
I was just on the road and saw all of your cattle They’re so beautifully made everybody in the back of the trailer meaning the cattle was turned one way and then there was one whose butt was turned the way I was driving. I thought that was so cute. They were really cute. They were really nice looking. I can’t wait to come meet you guys at the next rodeo and just chill and enjoy life. They look like they were very well taken care of. I almost wanted to drive in slow motion just to enjoy the atmosphere of looking at them, but of course I couldn’t stop traffic.
Kisha K — Google review
Happened to be out walking and heard the music and cheering at Bergeron. Folks really dress the part. Looks like fun. Going to buy tickets for the next rodeo.
Helena D — Google review
Definitely a great spot if you’re looking for a fun night out in Davie!
Andrea H — Google review
Great Rodeo and seats. They always aim to please. Very nice crowd. No issues or hassles. Easy in and out and good parking. The Bull Riding, steer roping, barrel racing etc was great!
Diane S — Google review
Davie is nicked named "Cowboy" town for good reason. There are many ranches here (i.e., Bar-B Ranch), excellent places to trail ride (ie, behind Flamingo Gardens, or Long Key), parts of the downtown area have that old west vibe, and of course there's the famous Bergeron rodeo in February in a glorious covered, open air stadium. Yes, rodeo is very much alive in the US of A. Be prepared for a healthy dose of patriotism, military appreciation, and thanks to the One above before the action kicks off. There's a great mix of steer wrestling, bronco riding, barrel racing, half-time roping displays, and of course, bull riding, the longest 8 seconds in a cowboy's life. There's plenty to eat and drink on the grounds. Ticket prices are nominal, at about $25 for 2 1/2 hours of some thrilling and unique entertainment. If you appreciate good horseback riding and some daredevil events, it's well worth attending.

I didn’t know about this place , it is huge soon they going to have some event i posted a pic there for dates, but today we came for the south florida construction career days it is a event where we show to the kids how to run some kind of machine and how construction site are.

Davie Golf Club has recently undergone impressive renovations, solidifying its reputation as a top-notch destination for both locals and visitors seeking an enjoyable golfing experience. The addition of trees enhances the course's beauty, making it not only visually appealing but also more challenging. Located just outside Fort Lauderdale, this public course stands out with its innovative design featuring unique water elements and varied elevations that are uncommon in South Florida.
Great value!! No frills. Like, literally zero frills. We would go back. I’m a 13 handicap and my sister is a beginner, high handicapper so we wanted a decent place to play on a Tuesday morning where we could have fun and not be rushed or pressured by resort golf atmosphere. This place was perfect for that. Staff were super-friendly and laid back. There was a beverage cart, which sells used golf balls too. Push carts are available. At no point in time did I feel the quality of the course impacted my play. I wouldn’t mind if they trimmed a few trees though. Greens played fair; fairways were adequate. A lot of water. If you’re just looking for a fun $65 round - Davie GC works. If you’re looking for a premium resort experience, I’d look elsewhere. Simple improvements - ball washers and trash cans. Better signage around tee box locations. Restore the driving range.
Andrew W — Google review
Had a great round at Davie Golf Course. The greens were phenomenal—some of the best in the area. They’re not only well-maintained, but also challenging, with heavy and unique undulation that makes putting both fun and demanding. A few fairways and tee boxes were in rough shape, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The staff was friendly, and the service was excellent throughout. Pace of play was a little slow at times, but manageable. Overall, it’s a great course with standout greens and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.
Connor D — Google review
Fun yet challenging course for such a low fee. In great shape with beautiful trees, iguanas, turtles and birds. Lots of water and not an easy course but a tremendous find.
Wendy G — Google review
fun local course with awesome new greens ⛳️ Great vibe, good value, and beautifully maintained. No driving range, but perfect for a relaxed round. Highly recommend for a quick golf fix. just 40 minutes away from Miami 😉👍
Tony L — Google review
Great course not just for the value but truly a fun course to play. Greens were in amazing shape and the holes were different and challenging. Scenery with wildlife was great to look at while waiting for rain delay. Rental clubs were nice and in good shape, and good pricing. Will play again!
Thomas B — Google review
This is a fun golf course! The greens are super fun and in good shape. Good value for money. The clubhouse/golf shop is just a trailer, not much there. The staff was friendly and there seemed to be some crews fixing bunkers and other things on the course. We played after it rained five inches of rain last week, so the bunkers were hard and some of the fairways muddy, but I was expecting much worse. I’m sure it is in even better shape on normal days.
Marcos N — Google review
I played Davie yesterday and play here often. Love this course. Staff is friendly, professional, and always willing to help. New carts are great! The only fairway that was a little brown was 16, but with the rain we had, it's understandable and won't change my rating. Course is always challenging even after playing it over a dozen times, fantastic track to play!!!! Greens are fast and roll true, even though there was sand on the greens to IMPROVE them even more than they already are. We finished yesterday at 7:45pm and the staff took care of us like we were the first morning group coming in after 18 holes. Outstanding!! Keep up the great work Davie GC!!!
Scott K — Google review
04/10/2025: The greens are new and they're awesome, although I would like to have the greens faster. I would give the greens a 5- star without hesitation. There are some issues at some fairways, but the negatives do not affect playing. Sometimes Ago: The greens are just TERRIBLE and impossible to putt properly. Some fairways are also lousy. If you don't mind about putting or automatically give yourself 2 putts when get on the green , it's a good course to practice your game. There are plenty of water hazards on the course to stress you out. You can look at the pictures to determine if it's worth your time and money to play here.

The Museum of Discovery and Science, situated in the heart of Fort Lauderdale's arts and science district, is a popular destination for both kids and adults. Established in 1977, this downtown facility spans 150,000 square feet and features interactive exhibits, an eco-center, a giant IMAX theater, an outdoor science park, live animal displays, and engaging science demonstrations.
I went to see the Dino exhibit with my son. Good stuff. If you’re local and you think your kid will like it a lot, I suggest getting one of the memberships. It’s $44 for 1 kid 1 adult without membership. And for what it is, that’s a bit expensive. But it’s still a great day for any kids 10 or under.

It was awesome sauce. I loved the hurricane wind thingie me and my friend felt like the main character xd. Loved the shop and food too the popcorn was super tasty and not dry. Even the little kids section was fun and the slides were epic! 5 stars 👻👻👻

Went on a rainy day while on vacation with two kiddos; 1yo and 3yo. There was plenty for us to do for several hours. It kept the kids busy, running around and just touching and exploring things! Great option for families to beat the heat or rain.

Absolutely awesome place to be! 😍 The giant clock at the entrance ⏰ sets the mood for an adventure right from the start. Perfect for curious minds of all ages — truly a playground for adventurous homo sapiens 🧬🦖. The IMAX theatre 🎬 is spectacular and makes every show an unforgettable experience. The exhibits are mind-blowing 🤯, super fun 🎉, and incredibly educational 📚. Every corner sparks wonder ✨ and excitement 😄. Highly recommended! 🌟🛸

I had the opportunity to take my sons here over the summer multiple times while using the south Florida adventure pass. Every time we went, it was a different experience. My boys love the Discovery Spot play area. Just make sure you reserve your spot when you check in at the front desk. They do fill up fast on the weekends. This area allows for their curiosity to take over with so many learning opportunities of cause and effect. We also love entering the Magna-tiles room found on the second floor. There is a space limit so sometimes you have to wait to enter. Again, usually only on the weekends. Our last visit had the Paw Patrol exhibit. All the little kids present were having a blast! I’m sure it was a little kids paradise. If you get the chance to do an IMAX documentary film, try it out. Our kids actually made it through the entire showing of Wild Rescue! My kids never say no to a day at MODS!
Jeanette P — Google review
The Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale is a great place to take the kids! It was both fun and educational—there were plenty of interactive exhibits that kept the children engaged while also sparking their curiosity. From hands-on science activities to interesting animal encounters, there’s something for every age group to enjoy. Also, don’t quote me on this, but I believe if you use your Bank of America debit card on the first Saturday of the month, you may get a discount. Definitely call ahead to confirm, but it’s worth checking out if you’re planning a visit. All in all, a solid spot for a family outing that’s both entertaining and enriching!
Nurse F — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Still a Great Museum, But Showing Some Wear We visited the Museum of Discovery nearly a decade ago and absolutely loved it back then. This time, we brought our two youngest for a day of hands-on learning and fun—and while we still had a great time, we left feeling a little disappointed. The museum is full of engaging exhibits, creative play areas, and opportunities for exploration. When everything is working, it’s truly a remarkable and wonderful place for kids and families alike. Unfortunately, during our visit, roughly a third of the exhibits were either not functioning properly, completely closed off, or under renovation. While we understand maintenance is necessary, the number of unavailable features made the experience feel a bit incomplete. That said, the museum still has so much to offer, and our kids had a blast. We’re hopeful that once renovations are complete and things are fully up and running, it’ll return to the five-star destination we remember.

This is our favorite museum! Best for curious and creative minds, so many activities for kids and always something new. A special thank you for the Science show! This is a happy place for my kid

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale is a cultural hub in Broward County, boasting an extensive collection of over 7,500 works from renowned artists worldwide. The museum features post-war and Latin-American art, offering visitors unique insights into these influential movements.
Nice little surprise in Fort Lauderdale! Good exhibitions (Christo's Surrounded Islands, 1983, with the process detailed); Joel Meyercowitz (8x10" colour photos, and more).

Visited the Museum in May 2025 , first floor exhibition should have came with a warning of depression , sadness and anxiety. I know art is selective and in the eye of the beholder but seriously it did not give off a good feeling. Lucky on the second floor there was a Haitian artist that was more pleasant to look at . Second floor also displayed a few hundred pictures that gave us something to talk about . Overall we enjoyed the visit although I almost asked for a portion of my money back. Sorry.
Siomara E — Google review
I visited the NSU Art Museum in Fort Lauderdale for First Thursdays and was excited to experience what I had heard was a vibrant and welcoming event. The children’s activities were truly well done—creative, engaging, and a great way to introduce young minds to the art world. The art exhibits themselves were impressive and thoughtfully curated. Unfortunately, despite these highlights, my overall experience was extremely disappointing. During our visit, my family and I were followed by not just one, but two staff members. It was very clear we were being racially profiled, which made us feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and deeply disrespected. It overshadowed everything the museum had to offer. We spoke with management to express our concerns and share how this treatment impacted our visit. While we were heard, the experience left a lasting impression—and not a good one. I can’t in good conscience recommend this museum to others, especially families of color. No one should have to endure being watched and judged simply for existing in a space that should be open and inclusive to all. Museums are supposed to inspire and educate, not alienate.
Shavonne J — Google review
Great art from diverse set of artists. Had a good experience. Much smaller than you would think so don't plan a full day here.
Salman D — Google review
Wonderful exhibit with local artist. My 11 year old was fascinated at the television with a knob. Stuff was very friendly and knowledgeable of all the artists works.
Michelle C — Google review
Very small museum with only 2 floors. Takes 30 mts to an hour to see it all. Overhead spot lights caused distracting glare on the art. It was overkill that 4 rooms were dedicated to one artist, Louis Glackens. A retrospect of 3 local artists was shown. It's great to support local artists but the pieces were lacking. Gift shop was nice. Staff and security were polite. Would not come back.
Sam A — Google review
Went on a rainy day an hour before closing, so in terms of crowds, it was just us and a handful of people. Loved the abstract art! My favorite was the 2nd floor. Jaime Grant had his whole collection upstairs which was fun. Would recommend stopping by!
Joy ( — Google review
Current exhibition is more than just a retrospective; it's a celebration of artistic audacity and environmental awareness. The documentation of the 'Surrounded Islands' project reveals the dedication and passion that went into creating this ephemeral masterpiece. It's an experience that will leave you pondering the relationship between art and the landscape.

Tree Tops Park, located in Davie, Florida, is a 243-acre green oasis that was once slated to become a golf course. This community park offers nature trails for walking and equestrian use, as well as opportunities for boating and fishing in the marshland areas. The park's conservation success story is evident in its preservation of ancient live oaks, wetlands, and tropical hardwood hammocks. Visitors can rent canoes to explore the waterways and archaeological sites within the park.
Beautiful local park that will transport you into the wilderness with great tree canopy over well traveled trails. Easy walking / hiking for kids and the viewing tower is very cool to get a high up view of the forest. Beautiful birds and wildlife. There are playgrounds and horse trails as well. The park is Dog Friendly (on leash) or dog absolutely loves it here and it’s not so hot since there’s plenty of shade.

Tree Tops is a gorgeous park that retains some of our beautiful trees before development took most of them. I highly recommend this park as early in the morning as is possible. The golden sunlight throughout the aerial tree roots is spectacular! Love walking this park where I was greeted with several “Good Morning “ greetings.

A great place for a family visit! My kids love coming to this park. There’s plenty of space to explore, beautiful nature, and it’s perfect for walking, picnics, and enjoying the outdoors. Always a fun and peaceful experience!

Tree Tops Park in Davie is a fantastic spot for dogs and their people. I was here recently photographing a dog, and the park offered so many great backdrops — wide open fields, shaded wooded trails, boardwalks, and even calm water views. The scenery really makes each photo unique, and the dogs love exploring the space. It’s easy to get to, very dog-friendly, and definitely one of my favorite places in Broward for outdoor sessions.
Mario M — Google review
Beautiful space full of natural beauty. Pavillion, and other buildings are available for event rental. There are some picnic tables available as well. Plenty of land space for games and volleyball. There is even an exercise set there. Only drawback is that the restrooms may be a bit far from some of the pavilions, so plan ahead to reserve a space nearby them, if needed. The grounds are kept immaculate. There are parking fees, based on how many passengers are in the vehicle like, $3 for up to 8 passengers. Treetops is a beautiful park overall.

Tree Tops Park in Davie (Broward County, near Miami) is a true tropical oasis. Shaded trails surrounded by lush greenery, a peaceful atmosphere, and the Observation Tower with scenic views of the tropical landscape make every walk here special. The park is perfect for family outings: it has playgrounds, picnic and BBQ areas, and plenty of space for walking or biking. Everything is well-maintained and clean, and it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again to enjoy the beauty of South Florida.

The Young At Art Museum is a modern and spacious art museum that offers various classes, field trips, day camps, interactive workshops and cafe. Kids of all ages will love the permanent exhibits featuring a global village with various cultures and activities as well as an archeological dig where kids learn origami. There is also an exhibit featuring a black light environment that allows kids to create works of art that come to life under the special lights.
I didn't realize this was for children. Haha, it's like a very cute arts and crafts studio. There are classes for kids to teens. The "museum" is a crafts room with awesome designs everywhere. I brought my 11 yr old and 25 yr old brother lol. We painted with water colors, made some recycled trash puppets, and took some cute photos. Perfect for little ones. We had, regardless of us being a little too old ;P

Excellent way to spend a rainy day. There are lots of different stations to keep the children occupied and at various age ranges. I have a 1.5, 5 and 7 year old and each were entertained for hours. We could also leave to have lunch and come back. Highly recommended if looking for some indoor activities.

Place has potencial, but they need to work on the conditions of the areas … the toys in general are in really bad shape even missing pieces , you can see dirt and they haven’t been changed in a while , the craft areas also are whit very cheap material … can be fun for kids, but still is just pieces of paper , is a small area , but could be better used

Love Young at Art museum. It’s a great, affordable option when it’s too hot outside or it’s raining or just because! They’re always hosting fun events for the kids, aside from the everyday activities available throughout the museum. Highly recommend visiting, but be sure to check their hours as they are closed a couple days of the week.

This place is a solid choice for a fun family day out here in sunny Florida! The staff is all smiles and ready to lend a hand, making you feel right at home. There’s a mix of activities that’ll keep both kids and grown-ups entertained, with plenty of hands-on fun. I didn’t catch every detail about the museum’s background, but the whole place has a laid-back, creative vibe that’s easy to enjoy. Perfect for making sweet memories with the crew!

My great nieces and nephews absolutely loved this museum. They were excited from beginning to end. They were overjoyed to build a circus shadow puppet with special guest artist, David Goboff! I even made one!! A staff member named Carolyn(?) was so very friendly and inviting. The lady at cash register was the same. There is a gift stand next to cash register. Not much to choose from but that’s not of interest to the kids so not a big deal. After completing shadow puppet we went to museum and they had quite a few areas set up that kept the kids busy. They could water paint, one of my nieces made a American flag. The museum is quite unique. It’s located inside Broward Mall near Dillards. Definitely plan to visit again. The cost was very reasonable; $10. I recommended looking on site to see if any special event or guest because that will be included in fee. I love this museum and it’s set up accommodate kids of all ages!!!

Broward College - Tigertail Lake Recreational Center in Dania Beach offers an exhilarating aerial ropes adventure known as the Tigertail Aerial Challenge O-course (TACO). This attraction features three interconnected 46-foot towers with 10 different high ropes challenges, a 40-foot QuickFlite freefall, and two climbing walls. Additionally, there are ground-level team-building activities available. The center also provides opportunities for water activities such as paddling and windsurfing.
This was our second time visiting, this time for an open water competition. Once again, we had a wonderful experience. We’re always impressed by how well-maintained and beautiful the space is—it really makes a difference. The staff is also always kind, respectful, and incredibly attentive. We’re truly impressed by how responsibly they look after both swimmers and visitors. I did want to mention, and I can only speak for the women’s restroom, that it could use a bit more attention. Still, overall, the facilities are always clean and organized, which we really appreciate. We also wanted to ask if it’s possible to come for open water practice individually, outside of the swim team sessions. We’d love to keep coming back. Thank you so much!

Tigertail Lake is a fantastic spot for a day of outdoor fun. The weather was beautiful, and the water was incredibly refreshing—perfect for cooling off. The inflatable obstacle course was a blast and added a fun, challenging twist to the experience. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a fun and active outing!

So much fun! We were there for 4 hours total. There's a conference room you can rent for groups or parties. The battleship canoe was the best part to watch! My kids loved the inflatables.

Great Experience all around! We started at the rope course which was exciting! Our guide was patient and experienced. We worked up a sweat and headed to the aguaglide course. So much Fun and what a workout!

We had a wonderful experience at Tigertail Lake. We rented out a space to celebrate a birthday, we got their pavilion, and They provided unlimited ice and use of their kitchen. Our host was Nick and our bookie was Cahn. They were both very responsive and helpful. We loved That there was plenty of staff around, They were very much so involved, and they are also lifeguards. It was a successful event. The facility is great for business team building, retreats, and campers. High endurance activities, they have a high roape course and even off for scuba diving lessons. I recommend the facility and their party packages.

1st time visiting Tigertail Lake. Aqua Challenge was exciting and fun for both kids and adults. Lightening cut our day short but will definitely return. The lifeguards were attentive and even shared some knowledge about the local wildlife. Only negative: $25 per person for 1 hour is a bit costly for large family.

I did a team building day here and it was great. The staff really supported the experience making it more than just a set of activities but something we all could learn for.

Pine Island Park is a fantastic destination for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. With its expansive open spaces, it offers ample opportunities for sports like soccer and baseball, making it a favorite among local teams. The park features well-maintained grass fields and a newly renovated playground that kids adore. For those who enjoy nature, the Flamingo Trails provide an adventurous escape with trails like Snake Bight, perfect for birdwatching amidst tropical trees.
Great park for all sports but also for local free concerts. Just saw Smokin Renagade featuring music by Boston and Styx. Excellent tribute band. Should be on a better stage worth paying for. Plenty of room for food trucks. And the ground is turf. Say good bye to ants, holes or rocks to trip over. Tables available to sit at. Full park facilities. Adequate parking. Easy to get to. Community fully vested. Dogs not allowed understandably so.

Went to Rock on the park last night, Feb 4 24. They moved the venue from Central Park to here, due they said to parking. We just didn't like it the same, lots of people and the band was good, but not the same vibe. Had to line up to get in the toilet, no extra porta Toilets. Food trucks were as usual. All in all as a park not very picturesque, no lake , no picnic areas, more of a park for field sports we would say. All power to Plantation for having these free concerts though.

The Halloween event was excellent. There was plenty of space and candy. It is a nice park on regular days as well. Mostly open space but has a nice playground area.

Really nice park! 1.50 per person over 5 to get in but great place for large or small parties.. plenty of separate areas with a few or just 1 bench with grills by them. Lots of trees for shade.. Went for a school event but there were multiple personal parties going on.. regular and portapotties all around. Very nice park. Clean and staff keeping watch in go carts of park and lot.. No pics of the park just school event pics but worth going..

Visitors can enjoy amenities such as playgrounds, basketball courts, an equestrian corral, and fishing docks. Additionally, the park boasts an airstrip for electric radio-controlled planes and glider pilots.
A family favorite and very unique place! Good for family with kids , singles, couples you name it! It has a little bit for everyone from vast open spaces to set up for a picnic, or flying kites, playgrounds for kids yes plural. Bike trail and also running paved paths. Plenty of bathrooms and pavilions that can be rented.
Juan C — Google review
Nice park with lots of amenities and parking, but the big downside for me was that the park is almost entirely open, with almost no trees nor shades. It does have basketball courts, splash park for the kids and several kiosks that likely must be reserved ahead of time if you intend to used it, since all of them was pretty full and booked.

I love running the hills at Vista View Park. The $3 entry fee on the weekends is worth it and I am grateful there are still affordable things to do in 2025, an underrated blessing. Yesterday I got to see a bunch of people also training on the hill, bikers, beautiful owls, a prayer circle and boy scouts too. This park is absolutely for everyone! I am not sure if he officially has a name but this is my friend Owen the Owl in the picture. He roots for me as I run up the hills and I love him very much!

I love coming here for bird photography. Ive photographed anhingas, green herons, Cormorants, ducks, among others. But the main bird that make all my trips worthit are the burrowing owls. There are tons of nests throughout the park and they are used to humans so I am able to take very close pictures of them without them flying off

My wife and I have done 5K and 10K races at Vista View so we HAVE been all over the park. We have spent non-race time at the park occasionally giving us plenty of open space and trails/paths to hike on. Great views from the hills

A nice park with tons of green spaces, a hilll you can walk the top of, bodies of water, tons of protected owl nests, a splash park, and a few children's playgrounds with slides, swings, and more. It's a great place to visit and relax, have lunch, or just spend some time soaking up the sun. The paths are walking and jogging friendly throughout the park.

The Long Key Natural Area and Nature Center is a hidden gem located in Davie, offering visitors a chance to experience a variety of natural landscapes including live oak hammocks, wetland marshes, and an orange grove. The park also features a bridle path for horseback riding and paved sidewalks for biking. The nature center provides educational exhibits on local flora, fauna, and indigenous peoples.
My wife and I wanted to visit a state park nearby Pembroke pines so we visited this ine. Turned out to be very peaceful and beautiful. They have paved trails and unpaved horse trails with beautiful scenery. It was quiet and peaceful. Nice place to meditate and immerse yourself in nature. Seems as though one can rent out the building for parties and events?
Bin K — Google review
Long Key is one of the most exquiste and compact natural areas in Broward County. It has very well maintained, concrete walking trails ( with occasional benches) through majestic Live Oak canopy and over marsh. There are also more natural hiking paths as well as horse trails. There is always ample parking as well as a visitor center. The land in this place has been continuously inhabited from at least 3000BCE and this park is a good place to connect with that resonance in nature.
Chana E — Google review
Such a hidden gem! I was just looking on the map for nearby parks and was surprised I've never heard of this place. It was very quiet and peaceful. The nature center has fascinating exhibits and the trail is nice and shady.
C N — Google review
Good place to go out and walk! The trail isn't too long, but it's perfect for a stroll with a 2-year-old. The shaded areas make the walk comfortable, and the mix of paved and unpaved trails adds some variety. Plus, the park has a small exhibition center that's great for kids - they can explore and learn something new. And the small bridge over the lake is a lovely spot to observe the fish. Overall, a nice spot for a family!
Alma O — Google review
A hidden gem in Davie! We were there on a weekday and there was only one other car in the lot. It is a nice park to walk through. It has an interesting history in the 1900s, “Long Key served as a citrus grove, a dairy farm, and then Pioneer City, an Old West theme park with its own railroad.” The trail is where the railroad tracks used to be. There is a museum on site that is free to enter and offers a look into the lives of the indigenous people of Florida. There is a deck surrounding the museum that has rocking chairs to sit and enjoy the area.

I was married at Long Key Nature Center last year in May. The staff were so kind and helpful with all our questions and concerns, throughout the process of wedding planning and all. A lovely place for ceremony and the banquet hall was great also.
