Local history museum
The International UFO Museum and Research Center and Gift Shop, established in 1991, is located in the heart of Roswell. It focuses on the 1947 Roswell Crush and other UFO incidents. The museum features extensive exhibits documenting stories about UFOs and theories about the Roswell incident. Visitors can explore witness statements, newspaper cuttings, extended essays, homemade models, and mock-ups related to the event. Additionally, it boasts an extensive library with a comprehensive collection of UFO-related materials.
In February 2025, we visited the International UFO Museum in Roswell, New Mexico. We were on a road trip and visiting National Parks and historical sites in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Carlsbad Caverns National Parks does not allow for any tours after 2:30 PM, so we decided to visit Roswell, NM for the alien attractions. By the time that we arrived at the International UFO Museum, it was closed; nevertheless, the alien decorations and scenery in Roswell were super fun to see. Legend/history has it that an alien landing happened in 1947, and Roswell has been enjoying and benefiting from that legend/history for the past 78 years. Thank you, International UFO Museum of Roswell, New Mexico, for contributing to our amazing Southwestern United States road trip experience. I included pictures of the International UFO Museum and some of the surrounding stores that all have clever alien displays.
John C — Google review
This was a fantastic place to learn about aliens and the history of Roswell. I especially enjoyed the museum’s library wing, which is filled with fascinating alien-related materials as well as historical archives from the region. The main exhibit area was equally impressive, offering an engaging and extensive collection of displays that bring Roswell’s unique history to life.
Travis D — Google review
Fun, quirky and very informational! I wasn't expecting so much information about Roswell, along with eyewitness accounts from so many people. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Visitor Guide: What to Expect at the Roswell UFO Museum If you're planning a trip to the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell, New Mexico, especially because of the legendary 1947 Roswell Incident, it’s worth going in with the right expectations. Much like the Stanley Hotel in Colorado, this is more about myth, inspiration, and lore than hard evidence or high-tech immersion. Let’s start with the basics. The museum has relocated in recent years, and the signage makes it easy to find. Admission is inexpensive, the facility is clean, and everything is easy to navigate on foot. But rather than a traditional museum with interactive exhibits, the experience leans more toward an archive-style presentation with static displays and research materials. About a third of the exhibits focus on the Roswell crash itself, though much of that section is filled with photocopied documents, legal affidavits, newspaper clippings, and personal statements. These are interesting from a historical perspective, but they can also be a bit confusing or inconsistent. For example, one account described an egg-shaped craft on a military truck, while another mentioned four alien beings instead of the commonly reported three. These contradictions are thought-provoking, but they may leave you uncertain rather than enlightened. The museum’s standout feature is its library. For serious UFO researchers or long-time enthusiasts, it’s a goldmine, offering thousands of books, magazines, and original articles. If you’ve got time and curiosity, you could spend days here. But if you’re just a casual visitor looking for a dramatic retelling or visual recreation of the Roswell incident, this may feel underwhelming. That brings us to what’s missing. There’s a crash simulation video reenactment, but it’s not of the 1947 Roswell crash. You obviously won’t find any original debris or declassified documents, only replicas and interpretive summaries. Interactive exhibits are minimal, and while there are a few side rooms with additional content, most of it is modest in scope. Roswell itself is quite isolated, with very little else to do in the area. The museum can be fully explored in two to three hours, and for many visitors, a half-day is more than enough. If seeing it is a lifelong curiosity or bucket-list item, it’s worth the drive. But don’t expect a sprawling entertainment complex. A side note: The front desk staff mentioned to my wife and I that the actual crash site was once open to visitors, but access has been revoked due to repeated issues with disrespectful tourists. Today, it’s just a quiet ranch with no public entry. In the end, I’d rate the museum three out of five stars. One star off because I hoped for a deeper focus on the Roswell crash itself, and another due to the location’s remoteness and lack of surrounding attractions. Final thought: If you’re passionate about UFO history and love digging into primary sources, this place has real value. But if you’re chasing a cinematic experience or looking for definitive answers, you may leave with more questions than when you arrived. Either way, safe travels, and keep an open mind.

This is such a fun place to visit whether you are a believer in UFOs or a skeptic. There are so many displays & pictures to read about, so you can make up tour own mind based upon the information provided. You can spend anywhere from a couple hours to all day. Would highly recommend & would happily return.
Tina S — Google review
Fun museum to wander thru! A lot to see & read. There is also a 25 minute video. Good price for admission.
Irene E — Google review
It was great to get to this museum. It is small and easily navigable. Lots of photos and reading, some video, on display, done on a timeline- more of a historical recount of significant events and people, very informative for newbies. My favorite part of the museum was the back wall which displays a quote by Stan Friedman. The gift shop has something for everyone! Parking is easy, the museum has two lots one right next to the building, the other is directly across the street. This really is a must see for anyone interested in the topic. It will take a leisurely one hour to get through it, if you are intent on reading all parts of the exhibit, you will need more time. The museum is located right in the heart of the Main Street of Roswell close to other attractions and restaurants. It is an easy walk in any direction to see other things on your check list.
D H — Google review
We always look for fun, unconventional attractions in our travels and this museum certainly fit the bill. Doesn't matter if you're a believer or skeptic it's a nice place to visit. There are some cornball displays that will amuse you, and some more serious displays that just might leave you questioning some things. A real highlight of our trip and definitely recommended

Spring River Zoo is a 34-acre preserve located at Spring-River Park & Zoo, covering an area of 14 hectares. Visitors can observe a variety of animals such as bison, prairie dogs, lynxes, lemurs, and longhorns. The zoo also features an antique carousel with horses, a train that circles the park, a small lake, and a children's playground.
This is an outstanding little free zoo. Parking is close, and there are quite a few animals within a short walk. I think it would be well worth your time if you're in the area. It also gives you a needed break from the tourist traps in the area.
Chris W — Google review
With a city population under 50k I'm impressed Roswell has a Zoo, especially being free. Donations are greatly appreciated! We relocated here 3 weeks ago from another state and have been three times. It's great for toddlers. The animals are not out regularly and it's taken three visits to see all of them. There are also plenty of covered picnic tables and 2 playgrounds however one playground is blocked off. Roswell had extensive flooding October 2024 and several places are still in recovery mode. If you're an out of towner this is a great place to burn some time (15-20 minutes) and if you're new to town it's a nice little outting for little ones.
Pam D — Google review
It's free. Small. But has some fun animals. Only took 2 grown adults about 15 minutes to walk through. Definitely a great way to take some kids out for free entertainment. But consider donating to help keep these animals healthy.
Christina P — Google review
When I got to the parking lot I couldn't see the zoo and they have a big trailer home next to the entrance. I thought you were supposed to go to to get tickets. Finding it empty, I walked into the zoo and found the first couple cages warn out, going a little farther in everything changed. They had it fixed up, remodeled and more changes coming. It's a free zoo looking for donations. As I got more into the zoo the more it was impressive. Lots of people were working, but no one said a word to me. I was the only person touring the zoo which was fine. I was there for about an hour and all of a sudden people started to come in. Meeting many of them I found people to be friendly and personable. I left with a smile on my face and lots of animals and people that greeted me.
Roger H — Google review
Great little small town gem. I recommend visiting. Animals seem well cared for even if the property is run down and they are close to you while viewing.
Kristen K — Google review
Absolutely the worst zoo I’ve ever been to. My son was so traumatized it was tragic. The animals are neglected, there’s no shade for them. I didn’t see any water. Every other 4 cages had actual animals to see. It was desolate and no caretakers in sight. They need to shut this place down.
D'Raye R — Google review
We got there at 3pm 2 separate times and enjoyed the zoo. It has about 12-14 exhibits. Great for littles. It’s open until 4pm but the gate attendant was waiting for us to leave at the gate at 3:30. Then the next time we got there at 3:22pm and the gate was locked. We use it as a stop through place for our small kids and it was really annoying because we would have been gone by 3:50. Nice spot but be prepared to be rushed out or it closing early.

Nestled in the heart of Roswell, New Mexico, the Roswell Museum and Art Center is a vibrant hub for culture and education that has been captivating visitors since its establishment in 1937. Spanning an impressive 50,000 square feet, this dynamic center features a diverse array of exhibits across twelve galleries that celebrate both art and history. Art enthusiasts will delight in the works of renowned Southwestern artists like Georgia O'Keeffe, Peter Hurd, and Henriette Wyeth.
Wow. The honk if you don't exist exhibit really spoke to me . The lay out of the bldg is ..... convoluted and the map is not to scale but it's a beautiful place and I honestly prefer to be a little lost in a museum. The pricing is fair and the staff was friendly. There's many different exhibits on display right now, even though two of them are closed currently to be re installed . Writing this before I get to see the planetarium movie , but I'm excited for that as well.
Megan ( — Google review
If you are going to this museum for primarily extraterrestrial related exhibits than you should really save your time and money. Now that is not to say that this museum was a waste of time. The museum was very clean and had excellent exhibits. There were a number of exhibits regarding Native Americans, weapons and the first rockets ever launched by the United States. There is also a very exciting planetary laser show in the auditorium at the museums entrance. The show is held several times a day at set times that you will be informed of at the front desk. There is also a fair amount of interesting art that is on display there. Roswell sure had a lot of extraterrestrial paraphernalia in the town but things like this museum teach you little more about the town. I believe you and your family will have a fun time navigating the exhibits.
Justin T — Google review
This was not the UFO museum, but it was SO much better. So happy we stayed to look around because it was such a well-built museum. Roswell has such a rich and beautiful history and it was so nice to see it preserved here. Please visit this museum if you're in town!
Tina M — Google review
I honestly had no clue what to expect. I just drove to the closest place of interest that my hotel pointed me to. I had fun, it was a bit like a maze and the lady in the gift shop was wonderful to talk to and a wealth of neat facts about the different resident artist. I enjoy history and they had 2 interesting history areas, one on the American west and the other on Robert Goddard. Some of the themed installation were truly imaginative. Would love to come back for the next theme.
Michelle B — Google review
Stunning museum, way more stuff on show then I ever thought. Probably one of the best small town museums I've ever been to, totally worth the entry fee and an hour to walk around in the air conditioning. Huge exhibits to art, science and history. Rocketry room donated by the Goddard's was a fascinating look at the early days of rocket science in America. All sorts of interesting details of the tools and equipment used. Huge number of historical artifacts as well, from ancient New Mexico history, to early guns and weapons used in a range of conflicts, even a couple of suites of armor! Staff was helpful and kind, entire place was clean and cool.
Jesse C — Google review
We spent about an hour and a half here. I wouldn't expect spending anymore time than that. Had some interesting displays and the kids thought about half of them were interesting. Had American west historical stuff along with rocketry history with Robert Goddard and some native American cultural stuff. Worth checking out if you have an hour or so to spend.
Anthony L — Google review
The Roswell Museum was founded in 1936 by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) and opened in late 1937 . This magnificent museum exhibits the art and cultural history of the American Southwest, and also houses a very realistic reproduction of the laboratory or Robert H. Goddard of Worcester, Massachusetts, an early rocketry pioneer. In addition, the museum includes an advanced planetarium and an artist-in-residence program.

Awesome art and we did a show at the planetarium...me and my wife were only two people in there. It was sad because the presentation put on was awesome! Can't believe more people don't go! The guy who did our viewing was great and really knowledgeable!

The Roswell UFO Spacewalk is an interactive art exhibit and amusement center in Roswell, known for its alleged alien crash sighting. It offers a unique blacklight walk-through experience similar to a Halloween fun house, making for some funky photos and laughs.
Affordable fun for the whole family! The exhibits were made by hand by the owner and you can tell a lot of love went into it. Great photo op spots and a cool glow in the dark experience. Fun gift shop, super friendly employees. Can't recommend this place enough for a fun stop in town!

Was recommended to stop in here by a friend, and I got to say it’s a pretty cool spot. Definitely something you should check out while in town. Great price for a fun interactive experience. Nice little gift shop as well. The owner also seems very dedicated to the job and takes care in his business. They also offer discounts for military and I believe first responders but not sure on that one. Definitely worth your time to visit

Great kid and family-friendly activity in Roswell, New Mexico! We were tourists coming through Roswell during our road trip to the Carlsbad caverns and we decided to take a stop here with our 3-year-old 👽 My husband and I had an amazing experience and thought the whole attraction was cool and incredibly immersive, so much so that our toddler was completely terrified of its level of realism an immersion 😆 Would definitely recommend this place for tourists and locals alike who are looking for something cool to do in Roswell, New Mexico! 🛸

The Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art features a diverse assortment of artworks, including paintings, photos, and sculptures. The collection is focused mainly on regional artists and themes. Originally founded by Don Anderson's patronage of artists, the museum has grown into a unique collection that includes pieces in various media such as fabric, metal, wood and ceramics. Along with showcasing international talent through its one-year residency program for artists, the museum also hosts RV camping through the Harvest Hosts program.
Stopped by and was shocked that an art museum of this caliber was free/donations entry. This is a HUGE art gallery with so many unique pieces. I love how every year they get new artists to add to the collection. I will definitely be adding this to my routine when heading back to Texas from now on.
Johnny — Google review
By far, this was one of the best art museums I’ve ever been to. It had a great mix of types of art, 20th and 21st century pieces, and subject matters. The woman at the front desk broke down everything about the history of the collection which was appreciated. I am so sad that I live far away and it honestly was the best part of visiting Roswell for me🤠
EmmaLee N — Google review
Fantastic variety of mediums & artists in residency. I enjoyed the gallery but hadn't enough time to see it all. Felt a little rushed to adhere to closing time.
Marlene M — Google review
Fantastic museum and what a treat! Something you'd usually expect to have to go to a much larger city to experience. Great variety of contemporary art from both visiting artists and their permanent collection. Having a good endowment also allows it to be free of charge to visit. Definitely worth the stop!
Kelly W — Google review
Brilliant, free museum with an interesting piece of art for all. One of the true GEMS of the community, with a vast collection of art from the artist residency program over the past 5 decades. Wow. Don’t miss this while you’re in town. Artist lectures 6 times per year and various other events held here to utilize a perfect gather spot.
Carolyn M — Google review
The best thing in Roswell. It's a must stop, must see and one of the best museums I've ever been to.
Joel G — Google review
What an inspiring museum! Every piece here just oozes with raw contemporary art talent and gives the viewer a peek into the current flow of the artistic mindset. Surprising mediums and unexpected topics greet visitors around every corner. Do not miss the golf bags ... but seriously EVERY piece is inspiring! The art rotates regularly, so there is always something new to see. We try to visit this museum every month or so in order to see all that they bring to our town! They not only showcase the works of their RAIR resident artists, but they also host other creative groups and events as well. I have said it before and will say it again: this is one of the most inspiring museums that I've visited. It truly is a jewel in our town.

The Walker Aviation Museum, located within the former Walker Air Force Base, is a tribute to the brave men and women who served at the Roswell Army Air Field and Walker Air Force Base. The museum showcases aviation exhibits, artifacts, and memorabilia related to the base's history and its veterans. Visitors can explore the legacy of the Strategic Air Command organization and learn about the development of the Atlas Missile, an iconic predecessor of modern missiles and space launch vehicles.
Classic cool! WAFB was home to me in the 60’s and it was a eye opening walk through the past. The curator was a wealth of information and helped me catch up on almost everything. It was disheartening to see so much of the solid well built historical architecture had been destroyed by local politics, but a joy to step back for a moment in time at the museum.
Caz Z — Google review
It's interesting. But small. Smaller than the Tulsa (Oklahoma) Air & Space Museum. They've done a good job with limited space and material. A walk around to see the salvage and stored aircraft is interesting.

Tiny air museum just inside an active airport. Hard to find because the map can't show the actual location and the building isn't marked. Hours are short but you can see everything in about 30 minutes. Free entry but they ask for donations ($2 is standard but not required)

Very interesting museum containing lots of aviation memorabilia. John and his wife are running it and John is an amazing person. He’s a Veteran and very helpful and eager to share his knowledge with anyone. I highly recommend arriving a bit earlier for your flight and check out this museum. Roswell is near an Air Force base and one can hear fighter jets roaring overhead!

Good information. The Brigadier General that they named this place after was a mega-stud. Being part of the Greatest Generation, he did what he had to do. Fascinating stuff and absolutely interesting

On Museum Day (the day on which one can visit 7 Roswell museums for free!), we visited the Walker Aviation Museum. We were greeted by the friendliest of board members and volunteers, and they were all deep wells of knowledge and great energy for Roswell's rich past. One of the most interesting bits of the museum was the flight simulators that 2 students may try out by appointment; students who are interested in aviation are able to test things out with their simulators and are directed then to get in contact with the proper training facility to help them attain their goals. I was surprised to discover that the Civil Air Patrol is a major force in encouraging young pilots. Roswell's Walker Air Base was a major influence both commercially and vocationally in this town. Father of famous singer John Denver was stationed here, and it is here where John was born. The air base opened in 1941 as an Army Air Corp flying school, and the museum respectfully preserves the profound history of the events of the WWII years and the important heroism of the ones who trained and taught there.

Wow! What a hidden gem. We needed something to do on our final evening in town. It just so happened to be the opening night of their latest show. It was great! The set was beautiful, the lighting and sound was perfect, seating was comfortable, staff was welcoming, and most of all, the actors were fantastic! We had a blast and it made me want to attend more local theater in my hometown. We will be back if we are in the area again!

5 stars for the great work they are doing for our community. It is a big ask in a town this size, in this rural part of America, to have a theater of this caliber. Thank you RCLT for bringing CULTURE to Roswell, New Mexico. My wife and I enjoyed the comedy show and look forward to seeing more productions.

Cahoon Park, the largest park in Roswell, offers a wide range of activities for visitors. It features playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball and sand volleyball areas for sports enthusiasts. Additionally, there are picnic spots and walking/cycling trails for those seeking relaxation and outdoor leisure. The sunken gardens provide a picturesque setting with fish, turtles, fountains, and a waterfall creating a serene atmosphere.
Free parking in downtown roswell right by the visitor center.

We recently had our wedding at the sunken gardens at cahoon park. The upkeep is amazing, and it us so beautiful when the flowers bloom. If you need a place to Zen out a bit, this is it. Fish, turtles, fountains, and the little waterfall all packed into this beautiful place is well worth the visit. It might be a small oasis in the middle of the busy city, but it is gorgeous!
Gabriel S — Google review
Great for family pics and relaxing and if close to the play ground then they have a play place with tunnels and slides and monkey bars! And off to.the side they have 2 swings, 1 for babies and 1 for bigger kids! No sand sadly but the wood chips are ok! They do give splinters and tend to be hard but it's ok I guess for new ages if that's what they like! Only thing I find bad about it is the hondo is too close! So parents keep ur eyes peeled at this pay ground! Look away for even a second and u could find ur baby at the bottom of the hondo more than likely with a broken leg or arm but plenty of scrapes and cuts!

love it, I work across the street from there just wished that the city will deweed the canal it's not weeds ,way too high and the trees need a very good trimming

Enchanted Lands is a delightful local park that offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors of all ages. With its expansive sports fields, an 18-hole disc golf course, and well-equipped playgrounds, it’s the perfect spot for family outings or casual get-togethers. The park features picnic shelters where you can grill and enjoy meals outdoors, along with a charming gazebo ideal for hosting events—just remember to reserve it in advance!
Nice. Flat disc golf course with lots of trees that make for interesting shots but isn't a wooded disc golf course.
Phil M — Google review
If only the parks in the hood were as nice as this one is, but it's still a cool place to take the young ones. Especially on a nice day. Frisbee golf and of course the bike trail. As well as great scenery.
Dan - — Google review
Main Note: this is a long park. So dot stop at the first spot you see. There a lot to see in this park too. We go out there almost everyday. Even if its just on the way home to park for a short moment to relax . Plenty of play grounds and a long path to walk. There is a nice 18 hole disc golf corse in it, As well as a bird sanctuary and a nice little sunken pond and waterfall in another location.
Disc M — Google review
Well on this particular day it was nice my boyfriend was playing disk golf, I was by the car. Upon leaving the car and going BK to my car I noticed something under my car so I took a pic. Needless to say be careful!! It was also dry,the grass was dying, needs more attention
Annette M — Google review
I love walking the trails here. There is a Frisbee golf course along the trails, too, and I hope to try my hand at that someday. This is a great place for daily walking and the picnic and play areas are very nice, too. Dogs are allowed on the trails, but be sure to bring poop bags and clean up after them. The city puts out outhouses for your restrooms convenience; they are located at the play and picnic stations. The weather here in Roswell is so perfect almost all year round, and today (April 9, 2023) was sunny. Lots of folks were out enjoying the sunshine and fresh air and having picnics underneath the shade trees. Roswell has many opportunities for outdoor family activities, and this Enchanted Lands park is one of them.

Beautiful Park with a sweet Disc Golf Course it’s a perfect spot for a quick stop and play a few holes to get out of car and stretch a little. I’ve also played in their annual disc golf tournament Alien City Open in March great time! Thank You Roswell
Javier T — Google review
This is a very nice local park. There's a playground, places to grill food, picnic tables and a disk golf course. A large gazebo is also a center of attention (you might have to reserve it for parties). This park is at the western-most part of the Spring River corridor which meanders through central Roswell, featuring a walking/biking trail, Cahoon park with it's magnificent sunken garden (aka "the grotto"), the Roswell Museum and Art Center and the world renowned Spring River Park and Zoo. There is a lot to do and see in this unique part of the southwest. Spend a day or two exploring the historic Spring River.

Alien Zone is a must-visit attraction in Roswell, known for its campy alien photo op scenes and a shop selling Area 51-themed gifts and apparel. Founded in 1998, it features over a dozen life-sized alien dioramas created by commercial artist Randy Reeves. Visitors can take silly pictures with aliens at various sets, including a backyard barbecue scene and an examination table. The low lighting with black light effects adds to the fun atmosphere.
Traveled from San Antonio, TX for the UFO festival and were immediately drawn in by the aliens in the window. Were immediately greeted while taking a picture outside. The staff was informative and super friendly. We got a lot of photo opportunities so definitely worth the $8 a person. They even let us know if we wanted a group picture, just to ask, and they would love to take it. 10/10 recommend.
Raquel C — Google review
The whole place gives a certain vibe like those old alien movies. The props are cool to take photos. There’s an alien walkthrough thing like $5 or something, my husband did it, I didn’t. He said it was cool. The merchandise here looks like things from antique store/flea market and smells like one too. Not only the packing looks old, there wasn’t many different kind of items. If my husband didn’t find the photos on google review and asked to come, I probably wouldn’t come in this store.
Alisa S — Google review
Good photo op location with small admission fee. It was really dark when we were there, so hard to take many good selfies.
Christy M — Google review
Had lots of fun exploring the little exhibition they had in the back room. The entry fee is 8$ and that is a decent price. The owners are very nice and friendly. I recommend a visit if you happen to be in town.
Edward G — Google review
The coolest exhibit! Newly updated! Kid friendly!Constantly changing so there’s always something new. My family and I had a blast. The staff was top notch. We grabbed some shirts and took a ton of pictures. It’s a MUST if you’re in Roswell!!!!
Breanne M — Google review
Super cool experience! My son and I loved it. The photo ops were super cool and I would say… lifelike.
Aundrea H — Google review
My pup & I had a great time wandering through the exhibit and taking pictures. The props could use a little fixing up, but I imagine it's hard to keep everything looking shiny & new when it's available to the public. The wear kind of adds to the charm, in a way. Cashier was super sweet.
Marissa G — Google review
It might have been a great place some years ago, but it's looking pretty run down these days. A lot of the aliens are missing fingers, and many have their heads falling over. There's a good layer of dust on everything, and it really needs a coat of paint. It doesn't look like anything has been updated for a while. If you like spray foam and black lights, this is the place for you, but otherwise, I'd recommend merely browsing the dusty, er, "collectibles", and moving on.

The Eastern New Mexico State Fair takes place in early October at the Eastern New Mexico Fairgrounds in Roswell. The fair features a spacious carnival ride area, food booths, livestock shows, and live music. While some visitors found it smaller than fairs in their home state and wished for more variety in fried foods, others enjoyed the dedicated staff running the attractions. Some suggested going early to avoid large crowds and long lines.
TNT satellite and security will be at Roswell State Fair come see us get a great discount also tell him you saw us online and get $100 gift card when you sign up it'll come to you in the mail

Evenso we came at opening, there were not enough handicap parking. The Fair ground is great. Very organized parking. We went today, Wednesday. Senior entrance was free and every ride was only $1. Great for young families and kids or Grandma's or Grandpa's and Grandkids. Lots of sitting areas for a quick rest. Food and drinks have a great variety. Try the Pina colada or the strawberry/mango mix. The ribbon fries with cheese sauce and pickled jalapenos are great 😃.
Sabine L — Google review
My opinion & experience..... $12 to get in is a bit on the high end but parking was free. A short aisle of food trucks was disappointing. The prices are RIDICULOUS! Ex: $20 for potato swirls, $9 for fried pickles or $12 for a cup of chocolate. (The noodle place & old soda place were great but also rather high.) The vendors were selling counterfeit items as real. The rides are cool but it's another $40 so you'll have to weight that for yourself. Definitely NOT "the happiest place on dirt".
Cat — Google review
First time attending the fair. Had a blast ☺️... I just wish it was more wheelchair friendly 😔. The food is ridiculously expensive 😞. I was only able to treat my special needs child. 🥺🥺. If you want to really enjoy the fair go early as soon as it opens, anytime after 7pm. Too many people not safe!!!
Lucia N — Google review
I love the preview weekend because you don't have to pay to park to get in only for your armband I love the fact that seniors get in totally free on Wednesdays thanks for helping out the old people appreciate you

Fair was good. Placement of everything could’ve been planned a little better. It was more spaced out with what seemed to be more rides. Midway could be a LOT better. One game for kids and Way overpriced. Rest of the games are multiples of the same game. Could use more variety. Food vendors were extraordinary!

The store has maintained its traditional charm over the years and continues to provide excellent customer service. Customers appreciate the knowledgeable and friendly staff who are always willing to offer advice and answer any questions about gardening or lawn care. Many have found that the products recommended by Roswell Seed Company Inc. consistently yield impressive results, making it a reliable destination for all their gardening needs.
Always stop here to pick up some seed for our garden when we’re in town. We’ve had a lot of success with squash and green chile peppers.
Matt B — Google review
Overall, very knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciate the time they took to answer my questions. However, the rectangular oscillating sprinkler they sell doesn't work and they basically told me if it didn't work don't return it. So my confidence in buying anything else that they sell other than maybe the seeds. I'll have to see if they actually sprout but the staff was nice?
Offandgone M — Google review
BEWARE: Roswell Seed Co., Inc. sells insect infested seeds and denies it. Despite providing evidence that their seeds contain insects (likely warehouse beetles), the business denied responsibility and refused to even acknowledge the issue. Do not buy seeds from this incompetent company. They are endangering the public by spreading pests. The entire seed collection for our greenhouse was compromised by Roswell Seed Co.‘s negligence and willful ignorance. This has cost us thousands of dollars in loss of time, labor, and product. Prepare for a lawsuit.

Every time I go in to Roswell Seed or call them on the phone, they give me their complete attention and are happy to answer all the questions I have, no matter how silly they might be to the experts. Embark on the intriguing Roswell UFO Tour led by renowned researcher Dennis Balthaser, who delves into the 1947 alleged UFO crash. This fully guided private excursion takes you to more than 20 locations in Roswell associated with the incident, shedding light on the crash site, recovery efforts, and subsequent cover-up. Visitors highly recommend this tour for its engaging and informative guide who brings the stories to life.
Paul’s Roswell UFO Tour is phenomenal. He is a great guide and unfolds the story from beginning to end. See the sites made legendary by an unknown craft that fell in July 1947 near Corona, New Mexico. It really made the Roswell story come to life. To walk in the shoes of Jesse Marcel Sr, Mack Brazel, Walter Haut, and all the other key players is a moment to be remembered. Recommend this tour to anyone interested in the Roswell Incident, UFO’s, and historical mysteries. Also recommend giving Paul a follow on social media as he continues his own research with new finds. Good stuff.

First time in my life I actually met a person who as me has same passion for historical artifacts. They could be stones, bricks pieces of wood, whatever that saw the event. Or whatever that saw whatever that saw the event. This is cool. I know now I might be crazy but not alone.

Out of this world tour 👽 Paul was a wonderful guide - knowledgeable, fun, and showed us all the important Roswell spots. My husband and me really enjoyed learning about the history and all the things that make you go ‘hmmm’ surrounding the Roswell incident. Highly recommend!!

Must do!! The guide is very knowledgeable and he does an excellent job weaving the timeline of events around the Roswell incident. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the town and it's buildings and how they have changed over time. If you come to Roswell I recommend the UFO museum and this tour! This tour is a MUST do!
Tina M — Google review
Came out from Kansas City and wasn't disappointed. Our guide Paul was awesome!!!! I didn't think I could learn something I didn't already know but I was wrong!! I loved how he built it up with the history leading up to that day and had so much knowledge! He posed some interesting thoughts to ponder for sure!
Alex J — Google review
My brother and I are self-proclaimed UFO nerds so we took the roadtrip from Phoenix to Roswell. Stopped by the White Sands Missile Base Museum along the way. Hit the International UFO Museum in downtown Roswell. But the highlight, by far, was Paul’s tour of historical locations from that fateful day in 1947. Paul is incredibly knowledgeable, not only about military locations and where the radio station was, but former residences of key players in the incident as well. Paul provides incredible insight about what occurred while generating conversation with the tour-goers about alternative theories. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, Paul was amazing. We hated to see it end. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Roswell with any level of interest in the greatest UFO event in US history.
Chris E — Google review
Highly recommend this tour. Paul was an awesome guide, really fun to listen to, and super informative. The tour visits landmarks around Roswell that were relevant to the event as it unfolded, and Paul really brings the stories to life. The video at the beginning was excellent as well. We brought our son, who was a bit younger than the recommended age, and he talked about it for the rest of our trip. Don’t miss this if you are interested in the people and places that were involved with the Roswell incident.
Ursa A — Google review
Paul is an incredible historian. If you’re UFO-curious or a definite believer, you will love this tour. It starts off in Bricktown with a teaser movie that helps set some context. From there you board the van (air conditioned) and weave through downtown Roswell, the historic district, and south Roswell near the airport. Paul expertly explains the history of Roswell, the incident, all the major players in the story, and more. His expert storytelling challenges your beliefs and expectations. The price tag is well worth the experience.

We called to see what the chances were there was a spot open for just one night. We got lucky and were pleasantly surprised by this cute tucked away spot. A very desert appeal with a beautiful natural lake against the red rock cliffs. A great family swimming hole and we’ll walk the short mile hike this morning.
Marsha G — Google review
It's a place that looks beautiful from a distance, but when you get there, it's not. Entrance costs $10 per car, whether you're entering or leaving. The sand is muddy, and the water is still flowing. I don't recommend swimming. If you're going to barbecue, I recommend getting up early. I think it's the only place within a 100-mile radius that the locals have to enjoy.
Luis — Google review
We went during the week on a Tuesday. It was empty for the most part. Very pleasant and quiet. We picked a shaded picnic area and spent 4 hrs just enjoying the scenery and cool water of Lea lake. It was a 90° day but the breeze was perfect! Amazing geology!
Patrick N — Google review
My family and I had a wonderful time camping here! We stayed in a tent at the campground and really enjoyed how spacious it was. We booked a site with electric and water hookups, plus our spot included a picnic table and some nice shade. The restroom and shower facilities were clean and the showers had good pressure and plenty of hot water, which was soothing after a long day outdoors. During our stay, the campground was peaceful, with everyone keeping to themselves and no noisy campers around. The only odd thing was that someone (likely a park employee) decided to use a leaf blower at 5am, circling the park and waking everyone up. That was definitely unexpected! Other than that, the park itself is absolutely beautiful and full of scenic trails, rocky canyons, and great photo opportunities for anyone who loves nature and wildlife. The lakes are clear and refreshing, with designated swimming areas. We also saw park rangers making their rounds, keeping everything in check, which made us feel safe. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend visiting or camping here, especially in the Fall season.

This was a nice, quiet park to stay in while we visited the Roswell area. There is a Camp Host, and Bathrooms were attended to daily. Each site had a standing charcoal grill just outside of a covered picnic table. There was a nice boardwalk across the street, and the lake/ beach were empty (we stayed during the week M-W) Also, there was dispersed camping outside of the Lea Lake Campground, near the Visitor Center. We did not go into the visitor center though! A good place to stay for travelers needing some rest :)
A L — Google review
It may have been due to visiting near the end of the season, but the area appeared somewhat run-down. Several buildings had broken windows, and both the restroom and play area were infested with wasps. The highlight of the visit was the beautiful view of the lake framed by striking red cliffs. We also discovered another lake within the park; however, it was mostly dried up and had a noticeable sulfur odor.
Travis D — Google review
Such a fun place to visit. They have a swimming area with paddle boats, picnic tables, nice, clean restrooms, and a really cute pavilion. If your near Roswell I highly recommend visiting
