A solid performance of the old favorite, the Four Seasons by Vivaldi. A very talented group of fairly young musicians did a good job of interpreting these concertos as a quartet. The decision to play all four concertos in sequence was appreciated as it allowed inclusion of some of the lesser known movements (from Summer and Winter notably). The St James Kirk is also quite surpisingly specaular inside; this was my 1st ever visit inside. The building impressed me and is in fact acoustically ideal for smaller intimate concerts of smaller ensemble music. Also what visually gorgeous interior.

What an amazing night the talent was fabulous. All the candles make it so classy!!! We had a great evening out together and just loved it.
While I wasn't able to go inside at the time, I was mesmerized by the external beauty and architecture of St. James Presbyterian Church. Get your camera out because the stonework blends marvelously with the greenery of the grounds, abounding florals, and azure sky above.
Here's a bit on the history of the church:
"The congregation of the Kirk of St. James in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, was founded in 1825. Presbyterian settlers in the area, however, had been ministered to as early as 1791 by The Rev. James McGregor of Pictou, Nova Scotia. Property was purchased in 1825 and construction on a church building was begun in 1826. It wasn't until 1831, however, that the new church was dedicated for worship. At that time, the Rev. James Mackintosh was inducted as the first minister. In 1878 a new building was constructed and the old church served as a Sunday School. In 1895, the old church was dismantled and a Kirk Hall was erected in its place. The congregation voted to remain within The Presbyterian Church in Canada at the time of Church Union in 1925."

Trinity United Church, established in 1864 after the country's confederation, is the oldest church in continuous use in its town. Although it can accommodate up to 1,000 worshippers and is renowned for its stunning stained-glass windows, visitors are currently only able to admire its exterior due to damage caused by Hurricane Fiona in late 2022. The church has a welcoming and friendly congregation and hosts line dancing on Monday nights sponsored by the Newcomers Association.

Wonderful service & so happy to be able to "attend" from Grand Bend Ontario. This is my :home" church!
Go there Monday nights to line dance, sponsored by Newcomers Association, great time, good snacks at break!
Its a cool place, people respond well and the directions are very clear.

47 years ago I came up from the states to work with GBCPEI for the summer. Pastor Alex Rockwell was there and I learned much from him. Now I am a senior pastor in Delaware and just heard of Pastor Rockwells passing. Those early days were exciting! God bless the ministry there. Remain true to the Lord Jesus Christ. Love you guys!

I went to this church while on vacation and it was an amazing experience. The service leaders were very insightful and prayerful. I was really immersed in the connectedness despite only attending once. I recommend this for anyone vacationing in Charlottetown.

Everything preached here come from the Bible and only the Bible. It is a great place to go to church. I have been going here all my life and I couldnt imagine going to church anywheres else. The childrens church program here is also run very well.

Nestled behind the bustling Victoria Row, St. Dunstan's Basilica is a stunning architectural gem that captivates visitors with its towering spires and intricate Gothic Revival details. This historic church showcases the High Victorian Gothic style, setting it apart from other churches in Quebec. After a devastating fire in 1913, just six years post-completion, the basilica underwent meticulous restoration to preserve its striking brick and stone facade adorned with numerous pinnacles.
Cool historic Catholic Church with the location dating back to the 1800s and the church being built in 1919. There is great architecture inside and out. A must walk by if visiting in town. Even if you don’t go inside the view from outside is gorgeous. Even if you aren’t religious the architecture alone is worth the views.

A must visit basilica in quiet city of Charlottetown. Parking was a bit challenging and most of the roads are narrow and one way. Better park in designated parking spaces and take a 5min walk to the Basilica.

Beautiful Basilica! This Cathedral Parish had its humble beginnings in the 1700s. Very rich in history! I visited on a Saturday afternoon just before the 4pm Mass and said a prayer of thanksgiving for the opportunity to see this beautiful High Victoian Gothic Cathedral, a National Historic Site! A treasure handed down by many generations before us so we can have a holy place of worship.

During my visit to Charlottetown, I had the privilege of spending time at St. Dunstan’s Basilica, an enduring testament to the Christian faith and a cornerstone of Prince Edward Island’s spiritual and cultural life. As a Christian who does not belong to the Catholic tradition, I still felt a profound sense of reverence and admiration for this sacred place.
The basilica’s neo-Gothic architecture is striking, with its twin spires rising high above the city skyline—a visible reminder of the enduring presence of the Church. Inside, the atmosphere is serene and contemplative. Sunlight streams through the magnificent stained glass windows, casting vibrant colors across the pews and the intricately carved altar. It is clear that generations of believers have poured their devotion and care into maintaining this house of worship.
While our traditions may differ in certain practices, standing within these walls reminded me of the shared foundations of our faith in Christ. The beauty of St. Dunstan’s is not merely in its architecture but in the witness it bears to a community shaped by prayer, sacrament, and service.
I would encourage any Christian visitor, regardless of denomination, to take time to appreciate both the historical significance and the spiritual atmosphere of this basilica. It is a place where one can pause, reflect, and honor the faith that has inspired so many throughout the generations.
Very historic Bassillica and serene atmosphere. Located right in downtown and walkable distance to other attractions.
Out exploring the city. Walked in and was blown away by the architecture. An absolute beauty. History oozes from every inch.

St. Peter's Cathedral in Charlottetown is a hidden gem with a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Felt a presence of sorts, the lights turned off and flickered when they came back on. It frightened me but maybe that’s just electricity or I’ve never been to church before despite being baptized as Anglican and decided to try at 18 years old.
The attached All Souls Chapel is a world class gem with masterfully rendered murals throughout the interior. A beautiful place to view and contemplate. Must see heritage property in Charlottetown.

I visit PEI quite a bit so I figured I needed to have a home church here on the island. I found Cornerstone and now, I don’t want to leave! Cornerstone is a Bible-based church that is perfect for new Christians as well as those who are years into their walks with Christ. I caught a few weeks of Pastor Philip’s series, “Eat Drink,” and I was blessed and mind-blown each week.
This is the warmest place I've ever being in my life as it relates to how welcoming and caring persons at cornerstone were. Definitely left a significant impact on me. Thank you all

We love this church. They do things a bit differently than the normal church; it feels you are not preached at, instead, you are ministered to. All while keeping the fundamentals of Christianity at the forefront of discussion. It felt like home from the second we entered and make no mistake, Holy Spirit is all over, in and throughout this little church in the city!
