Coffee shop
Coffee roasters
Located in Charlottetown, Receiver Coffee - Brass Shop is a popular spot offering ethically sourced coffee and freshly made baked goods. With two locations, it has become a go-to destination for coffee dates and casual meetups. The menu features a variety of breakfast options that change regularly, including items like breakfast club sandwiches, crepes, Eggs Benedict, and breakfast nachos.
A must go for breakfast if you are in the area! We had a wonderful experience with our server Ella who was super knowledgeable and gave us really great service! The breakfast sandwich was fantastic as was the egg Benedict with the added smoked salmon.

Lovely spot! Bright & friendly. Quick service. Kid & pet friendly (patio for pets, water bowl outside). Great coffee. The menu has options for different dietary needs including gluten free & vegetarian. On-site parking available. I had the yogurt with berries & granola and a London Fog. Recommend both!
Angela R — Google review
Extremely slow service for such simple dishes. It took 30 mins for things to start coming. The BLT and eggs Benedict were decent, but the receiver breakfast and grilled cheese + soup were not good at all. Potato soggy, bacon overcooked into chips, and rock hard toast.
Bruce — Google review
-This is an odd, not a coffee shop, even though it looks like one. -Receiver has food and sit down table service, along with a lot of baked goods, that are top notch. And coffee. -Coffee is ok. Baked goods definitely worth checking out. Sourdough, lemon tart, butter tart, and another one we had were all excellent. -The identity crisis of coffee, baked goods, and food with table service is confusing. Wanted to sit and enjoy coffee, but then you’re taking up table space. There’s tables eating, and then there’s just ppl there working on computer.
G U — Google review
Lovely, bright space to enjoy a quick meal of a nice coffee! I always really enjoy their Moroccan rice bowls, and their freshly baked breads are a staple! Their staff are attentive and thoughtful. Lovely place!

A very enjoyable breakfast with great food and coffee. Atmosphere was ambient but able to talk. Quesadilla tasted fabulous with a perfect balance of different ingredients and flavours.
T H — Google review
The taste level of their espresso is top notch. If you are an espresso lover, I recommend the iced latte with half the milk to fully taste the espresso. Chefs kiss. The breakfast sandwich SLAPS, definite repeat order every time I visit. The bread, the bacon jam, the pickled onions, all work!!

Seafood restaurant
Fine dining restaurant
Located in the historic heart of Charlottetown, Claddagh Oyster House is a beloved family-owned seafood restaurant that has been serving locals and tourists for over 20 years. The elegant setting and impeccable service make it a favorite dining spot. Specializing in PEI's famous oysters and seafood, the menu also features lobster, mussels, PEI Beef, pasta dishes, and chicken.
Absolutely outstanding experience at Claddagh Oyster House! Every dish I had was a showstopper. I started with fresh oysters that were perfectly chilled and briny, followed by the Oyster Rockefeller—rich, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The lobster was incredibly tender and sweet, and the lobster risotto was creamy, indulgent, and packed with flavor. I ended on a high note with the crème brûlée—silky smooth with the perfect caramelized top. The service was top-tier—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between upscale and cozy. Can’t recommend this place enough—it’s a must-visit for seafood lovers in PEI! Make sure to have a reservation, place is always busy.
Peter V — Google review
My husband and I had a wonderful time dining here on our last night in Charlottetown. The food was so fresh and delicious! They gave us biscuits to start and then we had oysters as an appetizer. We had the catch of the day, which was swordfish, and the salmon for our mains. Everything was flavourful and prepared to perfection! It is on the pricey side, but worth it if it's within your budget. It was quite busy so I highly recommend making a reservation.
Sapna H — Google review
If you ever find yourself in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, you must drop into the Claddagh Oyster House, otherwise you can't say you've had the city's finest dining experience. The food is literally off the chart! Prices aren't as high as one would expect, especially for someone like me coming from Toronto. The service was beyond attentive and impeccable. As well, upon overhearing the manager speaking to his staff, I asked about the money market funds he was talking about and instead of giving me a "Why are you listening to my conversation," spoke with me for over 10 minutes giving me some great money management (retirement) advice. Charlottetown is truly lucky to have Claddagh Oyster House as one of the city's eatery establishments.
Nick K — Google review
Superb service by very professional waiters and excellently prepared plates coming from the kitchen. As one should expect from an Oyster House, the variety plate served with three different local oysters brought pristine oysters, well shucked. We also loved the mussels. The grilled halibut was done just right, the moist, sweet meat of the fish nicely accompanied with a variety of side dishes. Equally good was the Brick Chicken. A delightful dinner with special thanks to our waiter.
Hansjakob W — Google review
Claddagh Oyster House was our last dinner before we left PEI & it didn’t disappoint. My wife enjoyed the oysters and the seafood chowder was so good and packed with seafood! Really good biscuits too. For the mains, the jerk crab legs were amazing! Never had any thing like those before. We also ordered the special which was halibut with scallops- delicious. Sticky date pudding for dessert was good as well and a nice finish to the meal. Highly recommend!
Jessica T — Google review
First of all, the place looks really nice, its very well designed. We had Rockefeller oysters but we weren’t really crazy about them, it was too heavy and chewy but I believe that’s personal preference. They were served on way too big plate so it looked a bit silly and empty. Then we had Chowder and lobster risotto. Both were delicious and perfect comforting food for rainy day. Only thing, the risotto had way too much cheese which was too overpowering. Service was ok but not great.
Maria V — Google review
Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. Really enjoyed our time here. The service was highly attentive and our server at the bar (we think his name was Jonah?) went above and beyond. Food was delicious. Nice drink menu as well. It can be a bit loud when the restaurant is full.
Sarah-Marie A — Google review
We were lucky enough to get squeezed in at the bar by Kelly (awesome server!) with the couple we were doing an east coast road trip with. Thanks for making room for 4 wayward souls! lol. The bartender Jonah was absolutely amazing with his suggestion’s for cocktails, wine including recommendation’s for dinner and turning our dinner into an event that we will cherish for a very long time! The finish upstairs with a night cap at the Old Dublin Pub was perfect! Thanks again for helping us add an amazing memory to our trip!

Gastropub
Bar
John Brown Richmond Street Grille, also known as John Browns, is a popular gastropub located on the pedestrianized Victoria Row in Charlottetown. It offers a spacious open area with numerous TVs for sports enthusiasts. The venue features an extensive menu of pub fare, scotch, craft beer, cocktails, and wine. With a patio to enjoy the laid-back PEI vibe during the day and a bustling evening atmosphere that makes it a favorite stop for those on a pub crawl.
Beautiful place for lunch on the patio! We shared a scrumptious sweet potato poutine, with white sauce, cheese curds and bacon!! A must try for poutine lovers. Also shared a gluten free halibut burger with a beet salad, a bit extra for that type of salad but worth it. Very fresh and flavourful. There are no words to describe how much I enjoyed the halibut. If you are Gluten intolerant, you can relate. Tender, juicy and battered, Man it was good! I ate it before I could get a picture lol
Nora G — Google review
Deceptively large bowl of mussels! Comes with many more mussels than advertised, and it was a wonderful battle trying to finish them all. I got the spinach and goat cheese ones (comes with a bunch of sliced mushrooms that the server gave me a heads up about) and it was delicious. I had to reason with myself that I didn't have to drink all of creamy broth left over, it was that good. We also got the southwest nachos to share as an appetizer which were a large portion and a generous amount of dips came with it. Service was efficient and good, refilled waters regularly and offered other drinks as needed. Would definitely recommend!
Bridget F — Google review
Came here with my wife for a drink and small bite to eat. We ordered the Sweet Potato Poutine and it may have been one of the best things we've ever eaten. The fries themselves were perfectly cooked and the plentiful toppings tied it together fantastically. The beer offerings were a mix of local and national selections and there was an adequate selection of wines and scotch.
Adam B — Google review
Really good food and nice outdoor patio. Best dish I tasted was the seafood pasta I recommend that one. We got the fish and chips (pretty good), salmon with fried rice (not recommend tasted plain), Chicken pasta (didn’t try), Roasted haddock (it was okay), Seafood pasta (best one)
Anas — Google review
First time visiting the island. We decided to try John Browns based on the great reviews. This place did not disappoint. I had the pan seared haddock and my husband had the seafood chowder and steak sandwich. The haddock was the best dish I have ever had. The chowder and sandwich were fantastic as well. Well done 👏🏻
Colleen M — Google review
I had dinner this evening with my parents and we all loved the food. I had the beet salad without cheese and it was delicious. Really hit the spot (and I don't often say that about salads because a lot of restaurants make them up bland). Highly recommend.
Emily S — Google review
Food is mediocre. Lots of shell pieces inside of lobster roll. Nearly lost a tooth. When asked about it, the server just said it's the people who package the Lobster up and not the kitchen's fault...NO APPOLOGY or option to trade it out. The side salad had fairly weepy lettuce and I can't believe they didn't bring out tartar sauce with the Fish and Chips, that is basic stuff! Sea Rocket next door is a lot better, spend your money there.
William M — Google review
Mediocre meal for $112. Calamari was terrible - why offer a super spicy version? 2 orders of mussels: again … mediocre at best. Burger and fries were fine. We can’t really understand why this restaurant is so popular!

The restaurant features an airy patio with picturesque views of the marina, where guests can savor mouth-watering options like fish tacos, calamari, and seafood chowder while enjoying live summer music. Additionally, visitors can relish fun drinks at the bar for an enhanced experience.
We had a great time at Peakes Quay! The food was amazing! I had the fish tacos (which is my "go-to") & they may have been the best I ever had! My husband got the fish cakes. Also amazing! The service was great & the young gentleman that looked after us, Noah, was fantastic!!! I can't offer any information on parking as we walked from where we are staying. There seemed to be ample seating & there was no wait time. Highly recommend!
Angela R — Google review
Great for a quick bite near the water front, lots of tourists. Gets fairly windy on upper deck patio. I got the fish and chips with fish tacos. The food was tasty however I’d recommend trying more local restaurants . The fish batter was on the hard side. Overall good meal I don’t think I’d return for food, possibly an alcoholic beverage.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The seafood was absolutely outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The taste and quality of the food truly exceeded my expectations. On top of that, the view was breathtaking, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for seafood lovers and anyone looking to enjoy a meal with a great atmosphere.

Great location, see pictures for ratings. *Burger meal - the size of the burger was small, especially the patty - a little disappointed but the fries were excellent. Salads for two of the meals were very good, the salad dressing was very tasty. Service 5/5 thank you Glad there was the elevator as it was needed for one of the family members. Enjoyed the outdoor seating as it was a beautiful day.

We stopped for a beer while visiting Charlottetown on a very hot, sunny and humid day. The balcony offered shade, a nice breeze and a good view of the waterfront below. We both ordered craft beers from the Peakes Quay label. The were cold and delicious. The sour was very tart, which I liked. We shared an order of Potato nachos. They were pretty good - good topping ratio with chips. Our server was attentive and we felt well looked after. This was a great stop on a sticky afternoon.
Dantra W — Google review
We waited for happy hour to try the oysters at $1.50 each — and you can’t imagine how good they were! We also ordered tacos and drinks, and everything was fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and excellent value. We even came back in the afternoon for drinks, and the live music was fantastic. Highly recommended!
Jenny G — Google review
I visited here on a Friday evening around supper, so it was quite busy. However, we were able to get a table just fine and we sat on the patio overlooking the water. The server we had (can't remember her name), was fantastic. She was very friendly and attentive. All our orders were correct, with no mistakes. The food was good all around! Only complaint would be the chairs and patio. The chairs weren't the most comfortable and the patio did not feel secure. It felt like it was on a slant, and every time someone walked the entire thing would shake. Not the most comforting feeling haha.
Neil T — Google review
2 Ontarians doing an East Coast tour. Arrived at The Quay for dinner. Got adventurous and ordered muscles and oysters to try for the first time EVER. The oysters were yummy, but the muscles were hands down amazing. Served in a white sauce seasoned perfectly to compliment the flavor of the muscles. Definitely going to order this again. The seafood bake was delicious, the side salad of greens and strawberries with raspberry vinaigrette dressing was to die for. The veiw of the harbor made this experience all the more enjoyable. Highly recommended!!!!

Chambers Restaurant & Bar is a luxurious and historic establishment that features a wide variety of foods and drinks. It's a great place to go for a special occasion or simply to enjoy delicious food and company. The restaurant is open Saturday and Sunday, and the brunch on a plate is especially delicious.
We arrived before 18:00 without reservation, were greeted friendly by a lady! There were few tables throughout the night and were all served by the same lady. Having said that, her service was excellent and paid so much attention to our need. She definitely is a bonus to this restaurant!! We ordered seafood chowder and PEI mussels as starters to share. The portion of the mussels was big. They were cooked perfectly. As Mains, we had “Chicken crepe divine” and “scallops, shrimp and green pea risotto”. I personally loved the risotto, it was not those cheesy type but cooked with mint and lemon. If you are kind of person who doesn’t like cheese as much as me, you gotta try this. It was served with 2 seared scallops and 2 shrimps. This place is definitely very kids friendly. They offered 10 choices in the kids menu with very reasonable prices! The only thing I want to mention is “I called twice for reservation but both were in vain”. So at last I decided to walk in. Other than this tiny little hiccup, my overall experience was wonderful (credit went to the lady server)!

We stayed at the Rodd while visiting Charlottetown and ate here twice. First for dinner and then for breakfast the next day. We arrived later in the day and thought the hotel restaurant would be a good option for dinner. The service was extremely slow and the food was mediocre at best. We returned in the morning for breakfast but that's when things really went off the rails. Not only was the service extremely slow but they also got my order completely wrong. When I pointed it out, they made no attempt to fix it and just left it for me to eat. It took forever to get a refill of our coffee and the wait staff did not seem to be working as a team. The waiter for the table next to us brought coffee for top-ups but didn't even look at us. With so many other options only a couple blocks away it was easy to enjoy all our other meals elsewhere.

What a fantastic evening! I went with my family and we sat in the lounge and were served by Spencer. He was wonderful!! Request him when you go. Highly recommend. The food and service was phenomenal.

My Husband and I had Breakfast at the restaurant. We had great food and an excellent service. I would like to complement our server Zoe. She provided excellent service she was very attentive to our needs, very pleasant and friendly. She worked hard to provide us with a great breakfast She even toasted my husband’ GF toast twice to ensure it was Nicely toasted both sides. Thank Zoe🙂 We will be back to the restaurant.

Had their $20 weekend brunch. It was more food than what we bargained for! Delicious too. Eggs Benedict, bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast, potato wedges, baked beans, fresh fruits. Coffee/tea $3.50 extra or mimosa $7.50 extra. They were short staffed but were kind enough to accommodate us for outdoor patio seating. Terrific experience. Highly recommended!!

Ice cream shop
COWS is a renowned ice cream chain that originated in Prince Edward Island in 1983 and has expanded to over 10 locations across Canada. The flagship store, located on Queen Street in Charlottetown, features an Instagrammable blue wall and offers their famous local ice cream along with branded merchandise. Additionally, COWS also produces cheese at their Creamery, which can be found on their website or at artisan shops like Glasgow Glen Farm Gouda.
Moony, great flavors and lots of cow shirts to choose from! Staff were friendly, and the place smelled amazing. This location used to be an old drug store, and they kept some of the old design work. 🐄🐮🍦

I ate my body weight in ice cream at this store. My favorite flavor was the sea salt caramel/toffee flavor and my least favourite was strawberry (too mild of a flavor imo). I legit went everyday and in pretty sure the employees recognized me too lol Highly recommend!
Stefie — Google review
They marked themselves “Canada’s Best Iced Cream”. For this sundae ($9CAD 2025) I just tried, they successfully achieve the honer of the best iced cream in Canada. The waffle base are produced in store by themselves with strong almond taste which you could smell it when entering. 100% local milk as main ingredients to make their style’s iced cream tasted creamy smooth and fully of milk flavour but non of other milk’s over fatty taste. They have lots of side products in the whole store which good for travelling and souvenirs bringing back for friends or families. One of the MUST GO place in PEI. I strongly recommend to visit no matter you like iced cream or not.

Great variety of Ice cream flavors. Not just your standard flavours but it great combinations. The waffle cones are delicious, but if you don't like ice cream in a cone they offer cups too.

I recently discovered cows ice cream. And I can say that best in the country. It is literally worth the money. Waffle’s made in the store. May favourite flavour moo York cheesecake and maple walnut. Now I ll be looking for their locations everywhere.
Sena D — Google review
No trip to Charlottetown is complete without a stop at COWS Ice Cream, and it absolutely lives up to the hype. The ice cream is rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor, made right here on Prince Edward Island. Every scoop tastes homemade and perfectly balanced — not too sweet, just pure indulgence. The waffle cones are freshly made and buttery crisp, the kind that makes the whole shop smell amazing. Whether you go classic with Wowie Cowie or adventurous with one of their limited-edition flavors, you really can’t go wrong. In the short time I spent in Canada this fall I indulged in the Cownadian Maple Crunch, Chunky Chocolate Mint, Cookie Dough and the Fluff N’ Udder. First… Let’s talk about the ice cream in general. I LOVE ice cream. This is by far some of the best I have ever had. I am also one who tends to stick to their favorites but as you will see below I tried lots of flavors and they were all worthy of becoming my next forever order. Cownadian Maple Crunch: this is sweet creamy and smooth. Almost like maple syrup but not so sugary you could not eat it. The flavor is so pronounced and natural not fake. The cookie bites add nice texture and crunch. If you have that maple hankering this is a great choice. Chunky Chocolate Mint: The flavor was bold and refreshing, with the perfect balance of cool mint and rich chocolate chunks that melt just enough to blend into every bite. Good crunch to the chunks balance velvety smooth ice cream to bonus ingredients. Fluff ’N Udder: Pure fun in a cone! Creamy chocolate and peanut butter ice cream swirled with ribbons of marshmallow fluff. It’s rich, nostalgic, and perfectly balanced — like a peanut butter cup meets a s’more. Fantastic texture…cold crisp mini PB cuts and sticky soft marshmallow. It was Udderly Amazing. Cookie Dough: Thick, buttery chunks of dough in COWS’ signature ultra-creamy vanilla base. It wasn’t just the perfect balance but the sheer amount of dough bites…you could bake a sheet of cookies if you pulled these out. Every bite reminded me why COWS is a PEI icon. Don’t forget the finishing touch; the cone! Remember that waffle smell I mentioned it’s the result of a fresh house-made waffle cone that’s warm, crisp, and perfectly sweet. I did the one with jimmies (sprinkles) on the outside. Fabulous addition. COWS is a fun, nostalgic stop that captures the island’s charm in every lick. COWS is a true PEI institution — delicious, playful, and undeniably Canadian.

Delicious Ice cream and the waffle cones were surprisingly not too sweet. Great spot to get desserts!!
Feba R — Google review
Variety of ice cream flavour to choose from. The entire place smells of fresh waffles being made. They have plenty of souvenirs to purchase, from chocolate covered chips, chocolate truffles, cheese, butter, toys and clothings of all sizes (toddles to adults). The rush of crowds tends to come in waves. When we went, there were no lines, but circling back around the block, the line was out the door. It moves fairly fast though!

Maid Marian's Diner, located at 7 Ellis Road in Charlottetown, is a well-established eatery that has been serving classic cuisine for over 30 years. Despite being rebuilt after a fire, it continues to offer a welcoming, old-fashioned atmosphere and homestyle dishes. The diner is known for its no-frills, standard breakfast options such as bacon and eggs and hash browns served quickly and efficiently.
We tried for the first time while on vacation in PEI..had hot turkey sandwich..and steak sandwich very yummy indeed. Fries were perfect..gravy very flavorful.. everything was yummy 😋. Good prices. Would definitely return when on the island

Great little diner, first place we stopped to eat at in PEI, we did have to wait a while for a server to sit us even though it didn't seem that busy. The food was very quick to arrive, and we got three breakfast plates and a steak sandwich. The breakfast plates were very good, unfortunately the sandwich was pretty dry as it had very little cheese and absolutely no sauce or au jus to go with it. They provided HP steak sauce for the sandwich but I'm not very fond of the flavor. Luckily I asked for gravy which was poured over the fries, so I scraped up what I could to moisten the steak. The waitresses were fairly nice, we did get constant coffee refills, but no water refills. Long line to pay for food as there is a constant stream of people coming in just to get a coffee and to-go pastry. Overall not bad for the price and food, I would recommend.
Crystal R — Google review
Delicious and reasonably priced breakfast. They were packed but service was still relatively quick. Eggs were runny as expected and well buttered. Bacon and ham was tasty. I was excited for the sausage as it had a pretty unique size as far as breakfast sausages go, but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. The temperature was on point, but it seems the sausage's farce itself had been undersalted/underseasoned and had a bit too fine ground a texture. Small complaint in scope of the whole experience. Would definitely come back to try a lunch or dinner special if I end up back in PEI. Reminds me of the Route 99 diner back in my hometown.

Wanted something quick and decently priced. When we pulled up it was a full parking lot which is always a good sign. We walked in and we’re seated within minuets. We had barely put in our order and BAM foods at our table. Hot and fresh. Our server was there anytime we needed her. The staff were all smiling and cheerful. Can’t wait to come back.

We were in town for the U15 Boys AAA Soccer Nationals, from the first call with Mike who owns the diner I knew we were in good hands. Being a team of 26 individuals, and 20 of them teens, we knew we should cater meals in rather than try and go to restaurants. Mike was patient and kind and provided us with our own menu to keep within our budget and understanding dietary needs of the players. We had five meals catered by the diner, and every meal was exceptional. from pick up to packaging and to taste it was flawless. I would highly recommend this diner for any catering needs. Thanks Mike and Team!

Great value for quality food. We ordered fish and chips, bacon cheeseburger platter and seafood chowder. Good 'ole diner vibe. I particularly enjoyed the milkshake that came in the metal cup. Definitely will return if opportunity arises.

Perfect diner experience. I have been coming here after many a night that's gone later than it should have for half of my life now. Quality and prices have stayed relatively the same - which is crazy, in the best way!! Maids is a staple for a weekend breakfast - not fancy, just good, hearty, fairly priced + fast. 🩷

I got the Marian’s Turkey wrap and it was like Christmas dinner in a wrap, so so so good. My lunch date had Bacon Cheese dog with onion rings, and they said it was awesome. All around great place to eat. There is a line during peak hours, but it moves along pretty good.

We were in town for a week and this was by far the best coffee in town - and with actual baristas who knew what they were doing. Every time we came it was busy which is always a good sign.

This beautiful cafe is a total gem and must-visit in Charlottetown. Carrying on its namesake’s legacy, the walls inside are adorned with local artists’ work - carefully curated by the owner. Spend some time to admire and/or take a piece of PEI’s art scene home with you! The feel may change depending upon the current collection. Food is delicious and coffee options plentiful - even several sugar-free flavoured latte options! Quite honestly one of the better lattes I’ve had anywhere. The locally made Fritz Chocolates are available on the shelves - made for some great gifts and of course a treat for myself for later. Rich and high quality chocolate with some cute names and inspired flavours.

Delightful atmosphere, photos don’t do it justice. Perfect daytime light through window. Great pumpkin pie!! Coffee flavour better than competitor (‘reciever’ coffee house) down the road near main high street. Asked partner what size coffee he wanted for a flat white (?) not sure that was intentional and he got a MASSIVE Starbucks style pint mug of coffee for a flat white? Not really possible. Then didn’t ask my size so I got a typically ‘flat white’ sized Cappucino, would think as standard it would come as medium? Anyhu’s. Breakfast burrito - looooads of overpowering rosemary, would have liked to have known that before as would have ordered something else. Also needs just something of moisture inside? Although side sauces were great, sour cream and homemade hot sauce! Partner got sundried tomato wrap….. bit empty, lots of salad inside.. Served with a - you guessed it - a side salad. Unbalanced filling, too much leaf to not much ness to balance out price point and flavour ratio. All in all, would be willing to try again and try different bits on menu, great service, sweet young servers, but not quite on the products.

The facility is quite spacious and licensed, allowing visitors to purchase food from different vendors and enjoy it with a beer. With over a dozen vendors, the market offers vegan cafes, wood-fired pizza, sea glass jewelry, liquor, sweet treats, seafood, and international dishes.
Food: 6/5 - A great place for a selection of good food and a variety of shops. There are several different eateries including a vegan option! Atmosphere: 5/5 a nice vibe here for all ages. The Information Centre is also located here. Upstairs has a comfy area to relax or hang out. They’re located steps away from the cruise terminal.

Such a great food hall with lots of options available. Some unique options available as well, like a French guadeloupean influenced food or even a potato spot offering up loaded baked potatoes. The back part of the hall has a marketplace with several food and retail vendors. You can grab a souvenir or even expand your food options here as well with a sushi burrito spot or even a Mediterranean place with drinks and snacks as well. Service from all vendors seem very friendly and no one is pushing to have people buy things. Very friendly atmosphere The vibe is also awesome. nice brick interior throughout and they also have live music going on throughout the day. Parking is available in a paid lot outside and across the street. Good job overall

Charlottetown Bakery & Cafe (C-Town) is a delightful spot to indulge in delectable treats. Their carrot cake, chocolate cake, and blueberry cheesecake squares are must-tries. It's the perfect place to pick up goodies for a charming picnic under the stars. The bakery also offers customized cakes, including eggless options, making it an ideal choice for those with dietary restrictions or special occasions.
I was surprised to know that they make eggless cakes. We ordered 2 cakes, butterscotch and black forest, within the span of 2 days to celebrate our PR as well as my friend's birthday. The taste was top notch, surprisingly delicious to impress my egg allergic wife. Their samosas, sweets all are mouthwatering 🤤. If you want to try an authentic Indian snacks, this is the place.

Last week I ordered a custom coconut cake for my husband's birthday. Apparently they had never made a coconut cake before, but they took on the challenge and completed it in 3.5 days and it was absolutely PERFECTION; so moist and delicious. I could not have made a cake this good myself with a million recipes to go on. I will be ordering from them going forward instead of trying to make cakes myself! It is worth every penny!
Bry P — Google review
I absolutely love this bakery! Every single cake I’ve tried has been both stunning and incredibly delicious. The carrot cake was what got me hooked it’s hands down the best carrot cake on the island! So moist, perfectly sweet, and full of flavor. After that first slice, I had to try more, and I’m so glad I did. Their butterscotch and chocolate cakes are just as amazing. Honestly, it's always a tough choice because everything is so good. For my birthday, I asked for a heart-shaped cake, and they delivered literally and figuratively! It was moist, tasty, and beautifully decorated. You can tell how much care goes into each cake. I can’t recommend them enough!

Noodle burger was heavy and loaded. Tangy and spicy.Best sweets in town. Tastes freshly made. Tried burger again plus samosa pomegranate samosa chaat and aloo patty. Everything was made fresh and tastes great.
Suraj K — Google review
First of all kudos to bringing some more Indian food on the island. With rising costs of living the price point for this place is pretty insane. Who ever is giving high rating clearly hasn’t had good Indian food. This is just average tasting experience. Paneer pastry doesn’t have paneer but has cream cheese. Please rename the product. Patty wasn’t warmed before serving. Dahi puri was little too sweet. Samosa chaat usually shouldn’t have curd unless it’s dahi samosa. Cake was way too expensive, the filling was not authentic Indian cake. Would definitely reconsider visiting.

A Hidden Gem in Charlottetown! I never expected to find such incredible dahi puri in Charlottetown, but this bakery absolutely nailed it! Each puri was perfectly crisp and filled with the ideal mix of creamy yogurt, tangy chutneys, and just the right touch of spice. Every bite bursts with flavor and freshness — it’s pure joy in snack form! The presentation was beautiful, the portions generous, and the staff super friendly and welcoming. You can tell they put real heart into everything they make. Whether you’re craving something new or missing the taste of authentic Indian street food, their dahi puri is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back for more!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding! I stopped by this little bakery in Charlottetown and was completely blown away. Their pede is out of this world — perfectly soft on the inside, golden and crisp on the outside, and packed with rich, buttery flavor. You can really taste the care and craftsmanship in every bite. The staff were so warm and welcoming, and the whole place smelled heavenly — like fresh-baked happiness! If you haven’t tried their pede yet, you’re seriously missing out. Nice store. Lots of chocolate products with a variety to choose from. Prices are not cheap but that’s what you pay for quality chocolate. They had tasters of chocolate cover chips! We bought 2 types of fudge. Inside is nice and clean and the layout was good. Walls filled with chocolate treats and several round tables of more chocolate items in the middle. They have clear windows surrounded by the chocolate making area so you can see how it’s made. This is only about 3 blocks from the harbour front and worth the walk. A highly recommended stop in!!

Great flavors decent prices. The business makes their profit on highly marked up accessories. Stick to the huge selection of ice cream and you will not be disappointed.
Kevin S — Google review
COWS Creamery definitely makes very good ice cream, however claiming to be 'Canada's Best Ice Cream' is a stretch. What makes the company even think they make the best ice cream in Canada? On another note, I was very disappointed to see COWS Creamery selling a t-shirt that was a word play on Alanis Morrisette, who's playing at the Sommo Fest, in Cavendish, on Saturday, September 13th, and associating her with being a cow. This t-shirt is in bad taste and offensive and speaks volume as to COWS Creamery marketing initiatives lacking emotional intelligence!

Rolled Ice Cream..... If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would! It is a tasting experience like none other. The ingredients get chopped up and incorporated into local dairy (ADL Dairy) or coconut cream. They have a line up of regular flavours and some special, limited edition blends that are there until they're gone! This weekend it was a Raspberry Beret (raspberry crumble) and another one we didn't try. Who Tarted & Honey Badger were the other flavours we had and all were amazing!! Such a cool ice cream place. You can watch them roll the ice cream right in front of you which really adds to the experience. I shared the blueberry cheesecake with my sister and it was amazing! The Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is a classic burger and fries fast-food chain that has always been a favorite for drive-through customers. We stopped in for a couple milkshakes and we're pleasantly surprised that they use the topping ingredients in their milkshakes. Ultimately this means youre getting fresh strawberry, etc! The only gripes I have are the pricing, and the manager needing to walk you to the toilets...

The food here is decent but on this trip we got ice cream. One blizzard is a caramel cheesecake, the other is pumpkin pie. Both were very good. The particular location we went to has some issues with ownership and their lack of customer care, but there isn’t really an issue with the food itself. Service is a bit lacking with very few smiles and more interest in moving on to the next thing.

If i could put a zero star i would, my sister had ordered her wedding cake through them, to get a phone call 2 hours before it was meant to be picked up the morning of her wedding thay they weren't made and the person "wanted to walk out and didnt even want to make them now" never once did this staff member apologize she only complained about herself. This almost ruined a brides getting ready morning time. We then had to run out of photos that she paid for a myself maid of honor and and a bridesmaid had to leave to get the cakes intome for her dinner we had to push back. And the owner was a money greedy person who didnt even think anything was an issue or want to blame my sister the bride for mot "asking them to deliver" even tho we explained the women hung up on her so how wad she to ask. She should've gotten it for free with how crap the service was but he hardly wanted to give a $10 discount. Horrid way to do business and didnt even seem that upset by how his own staff spoke to or handled the situation to the bride.......

We had their soft serve frozen strawberry yogurt with no toppings, and it was good - very refreshing! The place was super clean with very helpful and friendly staff. They had many toppings to choose from! Great spot!
Amy P — Google review
Fixed pricing makes this place a no brainer. They have about 10 flavors of sorbet, yogurt and gelato with a few dozen toppings and syrups. Everything is delicious. My daughter loves helping us pick what goes into the cups.
Chris S — Google review
Popped in just to see what they were about, and I was super impressed! Nice bright store layout, reasonable pricing, and so, so delicious! Heaps of vegan and vegetarian treats, the pineapple sorbet is scary good! We'll be back again soonest reasonable! I rather eat at home and come out for a dessert, than eat out and pass on dessert. I met the owners, they seem like wonderful people that deserve support!

Ice cream shop
An ice cream shop with a wide variety of flavors and treats. They have a drive through, so you can easily get your favorite ice cream quickly.
update: great icecream as always and the pupcups are awesome! two very happy dogs! to die for ice cream! and I'm not even an ice cream person. definitely worth the drive there! so many options and fair prices!

The best Ice Cream around! Great place friendly staff and a drive through for Ice Cream. The best soft Ice Cream which is my favorite. Prices are very appropriate and not over priced like other places and sizes are appropriate. Love it Whats the Scoop keep up the great work!!
Tyler C — Google review
What's the Scoop? Well, I'll give you just that! It has a pretty big selection of ice cream on their menu which is pretty awesome, a drive thru, and a pretty big patio with lots of room to sit outside. I ordered the Reese's Sundae and I gotta say it was divine. I have yet to try all the other flavors but from what I can see it looks pretty promising for my next visit!
Ken M — Google review
Ordered 2 regular chocolate soft serves with sea salt dip. got to the window and they only heard 1 ordered so we asked for a second and were handed 2 different sizes with 2 different dips and both were the same price, for different sizes?
Vianne W — Google review
Prime summer snack spot with plenty of parking and outdoor seating for larger groups. They have such a large menu, offering everything from a simple ice cream cone to a potato chip sundae.
L R — Google review
Really good ice cream at reasonable prices. Lots of bench area to sit on and three service windows, so the line moves quick. Love that they had both soft and hard ice cream to pick from.
Alison D — Google review
Definitely our new go to ice cream spot, we used to drive all the way to their other location for their amazing ice cream, now we only have to drive 5 minutes! This is a picture of a banana split with only hot fudge (because I'm picky) but you can choose 3 flavors from any of their sundae sauces (which my hubby 100% loves). Their espresso dip cone is on point too! So delicious! Hoping to try the ice cream cakes soon! Update: We've returned a bunch of times and not once have we been disappointed!

🍦 Taste: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 👉🏻 The Blueberry Ice Cream Roll with Cheesecake and Coconut Milk was an absolute delight. The combination of flavors was heavenly, with the rich, creamy coconut milk complementing the tangy blueberry and the smooth cheesecake perfectly. 🏞️ Environment: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 👉🏻 The ambiance of the place was equally impressive. It was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a sweet treat. 👨‍🍳 Stuff: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 👉🏻 The service was top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure that my experience was nothing short of excellent.

Great stop for a Friday night sweet treat. Fun to watch them make it and love that they had dairy free and gluten free options with the coconut base. Delicious and fun.
Dustin W — Google review
Visited the island and enjoyed their Strawberry Cheesecake rolled ice cream. They have a good selection of unique and interesting flavours, definitely something for everyone. Great that vegan options are available too! I'd love to try another flavour if I get back to Charlottetown.

My friend and I were wandering down the street when we saw this place. My friend cannot have dairy so we were really excited to find dairy free ice cream (although you can make it dairy if you prefer that to coconut). We walked in and realized they had just closed and we were about to leave, but the owners said they’d be happy to serve us anyway. They were so nice and told us all about how the shop started and where they get their ingredients. It was such a lovely experience, and it made our last night in PEI feel very special. They were so kind, the store was very cute, and the ice cream was good (and the rolled shape is fun!). It’s not cheap but based on the ingredients (fresh, local raspberries, for example) and the experience I was happy to pay it.

It’s a different way to have Ice Cream… all freshly made in front of you.. these girls are so sweet and explained the process
Melodie B — Google review
My daughter thought it was a board game cafe due to the game table in the window. Since we are on holidays and she was asking about this particular place & had her heart set on playing games so I recommend you advertise gift certificates for purchase as the ice cream was great but too big for Mom & 9 yr old to finish having just had lunch …The actual board game cafe had an unadvertised private (birthday?) event, no event signs and assumed we were guests so we were unimpressed as we had to leave and have a packed schedule unlike residents. So I wasn’t gonna disappoint her again and ordered dépité we had just eaten. My first rolled ice-cream experience. I explained we thought it was a board game cafe. No response or clarification or promotion that there is no seating charge. Plz teach your young staff to emphasize it is not pay by the hour and train them to ask questions and emphasize the charming combination of games and ice-cream. We were confused is it a board cafe ? Do you have games for kids? What is Amelia’s? The word “ice cream” is in tiny writing above the window not easily seen when driving perhaps due to the angle parking. Lacking big V &GF product sign in window. No photos anywhere inside or outside of the ice-cream. No welcome to Amelia’s No smile. Deadpan expression making me feel like I’ve bothered her teen or young adult staff. Very soft spoken staff, either shy, bored, entitled or lacking in confidence. 3 young staff seems like a lot but it filled up. They are all wearing hats and only their heads poke over the counter. This is weird, you get the impression they may not be working there because at first it seems like they have nothing to do but sit using their phones apart, not interacting. Soon you find out what hand rolled ice cream is. It is pounded. Like listening to an hour of meat tenderizing. Hence the 2 chairs outside where you probably can’t take the games. If they are not busy give them creative projects like decorating a chalk board or sign with things to see in the town. Make it personal. They should be engaging with the public outside with a little table and high stool. Then if customers sit outside they can go inside. No explanation of sizes. Ounces? Sizes for kids? Specials…. Unclear if they are rolled ice-cream or desserts? “They are all similar” isn’t an answer. So I had to Repeat my question. If you are gonna making pounding part of the experience maybe do it further in the back and welcome people to see. Do it further from guests to reduce the noise so people can talk, and especially for neurodiverse and people with Sensory Processing Disorder. Better yet does a cold press machine exist for this style of ice-cream presentation? Be aware your chairs are rather wide for motorized wheelchairs passing outside.

Amazing experience! Great local PEI success story, great ice cream, delicious dairy free options, and the owner's story of the business history, was worth the price alone. Really glad we stopped by for a treat!
Maurice S — Google review
Fantastic as usual! we LOVE the permanent location and not having to wait until the summer to get our fix. Would provide a photo but we ate the ice cream too quickly 😂 We have always adored the small business of Truckin' Roll! Watching the process of the ice cream being made is so fun, and I think it would be neat for kids to observe and learn. We make a point to bring all of our visiting guests here for such a unique experience!
