The park features an equestrian statue of Ignacio Agramonte, a Cuban revolutionary hero, surrounded by mature trees providing ample shade and marble benches. It was named after him in 1899 to honor his role in the Cuban War of Independence.
Few pictures I took while I was at the square. Beautiful place at night. What are the most interesting places was a bathroom a used one of the corners in the square. Absolutely the most unusual tile work I've ever seen in my entire life. Beautiful city beautiful people and beautiful masonry work in the whole square.

Casino Campestre is the largest urban park in Cuba, located across the Rio Hatibonico from Camaguey's old town. Dating back to the 1860s, it offers a green space for families to enjoy picnics and features monuments honoring aviation pioneers. The park also includes a basketball stadium hosting regular games and a small zoo on its western side, making it an ideal place for a family outing.
Great park, especially for famillies to spend their weekends with kids. Come early. When it's still not hot. Your kids will enjoy a lot of old school activities.

Martha Jimenez Perez Workshop Gallery in Cuba's ceramics capital showcases the work of one of the country's greatest living artists. Visitors can witness the creation of various art pieces, including paintings and pots, while enjoying a view of Perez's renowned alfresco statue 'Chismosas' at Plaza del Carmen. The gallery also features many of her paintings depicting the iconic chismosas.
Small gallery with wonderful artwork. Many small prints for reasonable (for foreigners) prices. Several of her large sculptures are outside in the Plaza Del Carmen.

(Translated by Google) I visited Martha Jiménez Pérez's atelier during my second trip to Cuba, in 2017 and it was love at first sight for all her works, I bought two, the very famous "Las Chismosas" (of these I bought three , one for me and two more for each of my sisters) and then I purchased the Bano de la Papaya. If you go to Camaguey look for this atelier. it is a must see, it is located in Plaza del Carmen in Camaguey.
