Theme park
Water & Amusement Parks
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is a renowned amusement park in Tampa, Florida, offering a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages. Operated by SeaWorld Entertainment, the park features thrilling rides, live entertainment, and special attractions for kids. In addition to the adrenaline-pumping roller coasters like Iron Gwazi, visitors can also enjoy unique experiences such as Serengeti Safari and Guided Adventure Tours.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is such an amazing place full of excitement and fun! 🎢🎡 From the thrilling roller coasters to the beautiful animal encounters and family-friendly shows. The park is clean, well-organized, and the staff are very kind and helpful, which made our visit even more enjoyable. We especially loved how many different experiences were in one place — from adventure rides to relaxing areas, tasty food options, and even fun spots for kids. Everything felt safe, welcoming, and full of energy. 🌿🦒 I definitely recommend buying tickets in advance to save time and avoid waiting in lines. Entry was smooth, and the overall experience was unforgettable. Whether you’re coming as a family, with friends, or even solo, this park is a must-visit when in Tampa!

We had such a great time at Busch Gardens Tampa! The park was super quiet when we visited, which made the experience even better - we were able to go on all the rides multiple times without waiting in long lines. It felt like we had the park almost to ourselves. The highlight of the day was definitely the newest coaster, Iron Gwazi. It’s an absolute must-ride - fast, smooth, and full of thrills from start to finish. We couldn’t get enough of it and rode it several times! Overall, the park was clean, well-run, and offered a perfect mix of excitement and relaxation. If you get the chance to visit on a quieter day, you’re in for an unforgettable experience.

We went for Hallow Scream. Tickets got messed up but everyone was kind and helped us get the right 1s. The park was awesome. We were able to park the scooters and use a wheelchair to go in the haunted houses which were great! We visited on a Wednesday night and it wasn't too packed. Get tickets online they are waaay cheaper.
Margaret N — Google review
It's an amazing place for anyone. Especially with the Howl-O-Scream event. We've spent the entire day and night and still so much to do. The fact that it's got insane roller-coasters, one of the biggest zoos in the US and so many awesome shows And shops. It's definitely become my #1 amusement park.
Shawn H — Google review
I took the one-and-a-half-hour drive from Kissimmee with my cousin to visit Busch Gardens. Since we only had a few hours to spare, we decided to focus on trying all the rides and save the other attractions for another visit. This was only possible during busy periods because we were lucky enough to get a couple of express passes. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of rides at Busch Gardens compared to other Florida theme parks like Universal Studios, Disney, and SeaWorld. The thrill rides offered a great mix of excitement and uniqueness, making it stand out. Overall, Busch Gardens provided a fantastic ride experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different from the bigger parks.

Ever since I can remember I have been going to BG. My earliest memory is around age 7 or 8 my mom took us here and Adventure Island (we had the yearly passes) once I had children of my own, I did the same thing. Riding rides, feeding the animals, and embracing all the awesome events BG does. Thank you for all the memories!!
Krishna S — Google review
Great experience, family had a great time. Ice skating show is very good. Roller coasters always a blast, lots of animals in the safari area. Only wish is for the app, not very helpful. Would be better with search features, wait times for rides, ect. Overall great time
Chris K — Google review
Takes 20 minutes per person to buy a ticket at the front and the parking cast $37. . . But the rides are great! Took 45 minutes just for 7 rides to go by on the Iron Gwaza sinc they were only using one cart but it's one of the best rollercoasters I've ever been on!

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
Embark on an unforgettable journey at The Florida Aquarium, nestled in the heart of downtown Tampa. This vibrant destination is a treasure trove for families and marine enthusiasts alike, offering a plethora of interactive experiences that cater to all ages. From thrilling encounters with sharks and playful penguins to hands-on stingray touch tanks, every corner of the aquarium invites exploration and wonder.
Our daughter received this visit as a birthday gift from her grandparents. And she was on cloud 9. The whole experience was just amazing. The new exhibit with the coral and the jelly fish to touch is a amazing experience. Employees were very friendly and experienced. Everything was well maintained and clean. Even the restroom was very clean with a cleaning lady and I give her 5 ⭐ for that, because everywhere we go there is cleaning personal for this 😔 so I'll say big thank you for having a cleaning person there to keep the toilets clean. The cafeteria was also clean and everyone knew what to do and food was amazing. Portion/ Price/ Taste was worth the dollar. The only thing I would say is one ⭐ is the price for a bottle of water 😞

This place is awesome! Easy to navigate, cool to look at, pretty educational if you take the time to read. It's also located on a port or something where cruise ships arrive and depart, which was neat to watch. All of the wildlife appears well taken care of, which is a huge plus. Tickets on a Saturday were pretty expensive, nearly $50 each, but if you think of it like a means to offer the care and attention for these animals, it's not so bad. The only real negatives, to me, were the gift shop (not much in the way of interesting merch for an adult), and the food. The food was abysmal. I paid almost $20 bucks for a burger that was unbelievably overcooked and dry, I couldn't even finish it even though I was starving. Good thing you don't go to an aquarium for the burgers! I still highly recommend visiting, it was a great experience. Just make sure you eat first and you'll be fine. Take your time to sit and observe the wildlife instead of trying to rush to the next thing. It really is something special.

Such a beautiful aquarium! I loved all of the exhibits. They have cool enclosures for all of the birds and where the lemurs are at. The big tank had lots of cool fish and sharks! They also have an octopus which I thought was pretty cool. It was a fun experience and was not too crazy busy for a Saturday. Definitely glad they had the trolley that brought us right to it too, very convenient!
Traveling T — Google review
The aquarium was beautiful. So many fun fish to see. It was interactive and the employees are all very kind. I only wish there was more to see!! I love the outside area for the kids to run around and the adults to grab a drink. Our tickets also got us a discount on the warship right around the corner which was also an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

All I can say is this is a must see attraction in Tampa. The staff is amazing and exhibits are awesome. My wife and I went there for the first time after living here for 12 years. All we can say is where going back. Just a couple of tips if you a member of the Lowery Park zoo, you get 50% off your admission it’s like by 1 get 1. If you become a member at the aquarium, it’s the same the other way around. Plus there’s parks throughout the country that you get 50% off on all different states. There’s also the street trolley that runs from the river District to Ybor city. The best thing is free so you can go to the aquarium jump on the street car and take a ride north or south. And it’s just a short walk to the little terminal. Also, there’s a sitting area on the roof where you can bring your lunch and eat it. There’s tables up there. And the victory ship is parked right behind the aquarium that’s $15 ahead $12 for seniors review to come.

We just went this past weekend and I think it’s totally worth it. They had a great selections of animals and it they had some interactive parts. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They even have an outdoor area for the kids to play at any given time. My only negative is that you have to pay for parking. We paid $5/hour which isn’t super terrible but can add up quickly if you plan to stay long on top of the ticket prices. Other than that, I highly recommend. We’ve been to a lot of aquariums around the US and this is definitely one of our favorites.
Jazmin — Google review
The Florida Aquarium in Tampa completely exceeded my expectations! 🐠 From the moment I walked in, I was amazed by how beautifully everything is designed — it’s clean, spacious, and full of life. The exhibits are stunning, especially the coral reef tunnel and the huge ocean tank with sharks, rays, and sea turtles. What I loved most was how interactive it is — you can touch stingrays, watch playful otters, and see penguins up close. It’s not only fun but also very educational, with lots of information about marine conservation and Florida’s unique ecosystems. Perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers. Whether you spend an hour or half a day, it’s a peaceful and inspiring place to visit. Definitely one of Tampa’s top attractions!
Alex — Google review
I recently visited Florida aquarium and it was such a refreshing experience! It was well maintained and filled with variety of colorful fish and marine life. My son loves to take pictures which I've shared here while I relaxed in the calming atmosphere. They also have a good play area for kids which I would be spending more time next time. Overall it's a perfect spot to relax and learn about aquatic life.

Children's museum
Museums
Non-profit organization
The Glazer Children's Museum offers an interactive and educational experience for children under 12. With over 170 fun and challenging activities in 17 themed areas, kids can explore various topics such as weather, art, communication, and more. The museum features a water play area modeled on the Port of Tampa, a grocery store, farm, and an upstairs recreation zone. Additionally, it provides daily programs for toddlers and special events throughout the year.
Glazer's Children Museum is a great venue to take your children to if you're ever in the heart of downtown Tampa, Florida. It's in a great location, sitting between the Tampa-Hillsborough Public Library, Tampa Museum of Art, and the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. So while making the Glazer's Museum the main event, you can take your children to the park or along the Tampa Riverwalk afterwards. With the William F Poe (Poe) Parking Garage conveniently located next to it, you can enjoy a relatively hassle-free drive to the venue. You pay for the parking up front. While there is no parking fee waive with the museum, you're spending approximately $3 an hour for parking that has overhead protection and is fairly secured. Like most other children's museums around the nation, Glazer's is suited for toddlers to children approximately 5 years of age. The themes and areas may not necessarily be appealing to anyone older than that. And like most other children's museums, the areas and "exhibits" are centered around the aspects of daily life (such as supermarkets, doctors, veterinarians, farms, etc.) With that being said, the Glazer's Children Museum is a spacious three-stories in size. I came here with my youngest on a Saturday, and while there was a steady stream of families through the venue, I never felt too cramped or crowded. On the first floor, you'll find a small store along with a food court area. There is also a rather large elevator to accommodate multiple families with strollers which is quite nice. It is also where you will find the first museum area/exhibit. It is a sizeable water exhibit so the kids naturally gravitate toward it. Prepare to get wet, but have no fear they do provide a limited number of splash bibs! There is also a set of stairs that ranges all the levels of the museum, if you don't want to use the elevator. What immediately stands out with the Glazer's Children Museum over most other children's museums is the hanging "climber" (essentially a transparent maze of various level platforms that your child can safely navigate through) and a section on the second floor, aptly named "Forts" (this is where your kids can essentially play and build forts from the usual household furniture and furnishings. The third floor is dedicated to their dinosaur/Triceratops exhibits. It's actually pretty cool if you find yourself geeking out over dinos. Also with the reciprocal membership from another venue, admission to Glazer's in the month of October was entirely free. Overall, a great place to visit at least once with your young children!
Dennis C — Google review
The Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa is a fantastic spot for younger kids to play, explore, and learn. The exhibits are super interactive, our favorite was the water play area and the pretend grocery store. Everything is hands-on and designed to spark creativity and imagination. The museum is clean, well-organized, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s best suited for kids under 9, and there’s plenty to keep them busy for hours. The location is great too, right by the Riverwalk and a park where you can continue the fun outside. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in Tampa with little ones. Admission fees are a bit pricey for what they offer but we had a great time and will absolutely be coming back!

Wonderful museum. Big John has captivated my son who loves dinosaurs. The first floor has a water ride and the second floor has many different "rooms" from a farm to an old house. It was fun. paid parking $20 per day
Fairy E — Google review
This was our first time visiting, I was hesitant w/ the expensive rates but but I think they offer FL resident prices and free passes at local libraries. We ended up buying the family membership which is the best ‘deal’, the Poe parking garage is right next door. Park mobile app, $10 for 4 hrs, not awful for downtown. This place is huge, 3 floors of fun, we easily could’ve spent much more time exploring. The first floor has a large water journey room, it was our favorite and conveniently had blue waterproof smocks. The second floor had numerous imaginative play areas, dancing, stem activities, a tall climbing area, a dress up theatre and much more. The third floor is a dinosaur theme w/ creative coloring, puzzle, look out tunnel and Big John the triceratops. Lastly, we weren’t sure if you could bring in your own food, wish we did after paying $18 for two grilled cheeses, a hot dog and water. The two guys working at the Creative Cafe were very friendly, busy during lunch hour but we’re bringing our lunches next time. The food was overpriced, for subpar, prepackaged and that was even w/ the membership discount of 10%. Side note: bring your own water bottles as there’s plenty of touchless refilling stations for free. Overall it was a really fun time and we cannot wait to go again.
Melanie M — Google review
Great place for toddlers. Took our 3 year old here for his Birthday. A bit pricey though if coming as a bigger family. I wish they wouldn't bill adults and people who clearly won't "play" full price. It seems absurd. Who do they think will being THE kids? But the adults who are being charged and pockets emptied... That maybe they won't be coming to even bring the kids next time. My 2 cents. Most "play places" don't bill adults or caregivers and if they do it's minimal fraction of the cost. ** Also don't appreciate waiting FOREVER to enter because staff decided to train someone new who has no idea what they're doing and we were the guinea pigs. Kids aren't patient. And neither are adults. And an entire line about to hit the entrance/exit doors formed behind us while they dilly-dallied. Wasting time on my son's birthday!! Not to mention they couldn't even count. We had to count people for them and then even come back for an extra adult wristband because they can't count adults.
A F — Google review
My daughter is 14 months & she absolutely loved it! Parking was $30.00 downtown but other then that yhe musuem was amazing! We will be back!
Kristopher F — Google review
Loved this place! Kept the kids busy and occupied all day... They cried not to leave. Definitely the perfect place for kids to have fun and learn at the same time. Very clean, friendly staff, an all around pleasant experience
Jason B — Google review
Perfect for toddler/preschool-kindergarten ages, but even the adults had fun. Each level has different activities, including a very large interactive water table (not a bad idea to bring a change of clothes or towel). They have splash jacket things but neither of my kiddos wanted to wear them. The climbing area is great for adventurous kids. The staff were really friendly and interacted with the kids. There is a food area that offers several snack and meal options that was reasonably priced. Overall, admission is a bit pricey, but they do offer a Florida resident discount and packages for families who may visit multiple times a year. The closest parking is the garage next door. We ended up going on a weekend where there was an event in CH park so it was $15 to park. While the museum is 3 levels, there is a large elevator. There's also a place to park strollers on the first floor if you don't want to wait for the elevator. This is a fun place for a few hours, especially when it's raining or weather gets really hot. We go about once a year and the kids seem to enjoy it.

The Tampa Bay History Center is a sprawling museum located in Tampa's Channelside District, dedicated to preserving and presenting the rich history of the Tampa Bay area. With three floors of permanent and temporary exhibitions, the center offers interactive displays, family-friendly activities, and state-of-the-art theaters that cover 12,000 years of Florida history.
My love of history compelled me to check out this museum while in the Tampa area. It is not a hidden gem, but it is indeed a gem in downtown Tampa. It has multiple floors - each filled with great, interactive exhibits and films. There was so much to learn that my husband and I were wishing for more time as the attraction closed for the day. The exhibits cover just about all of Tampa's long, rich history. We both had a great time and it was certainly worth the price of admission. It is a large museum, so plan to spend at least 3 hours here if you don't want to feel rushed.

The Tampa Bay History Center is a fascinating museum that takes visitors through the rich history of the Tampa Bay area. From the indigenous peoples who first lived in the region to the Spanish explorers, pioneers, and even the story of the cigar industry, the exhibits are well-curated and engaging. The interactive displays make it enjoyable for both adults and kids, and the building itself is modern and spacious. Located right by the Riverwalk, it’s easy to combine a visit with a walk along the waterfront or a meal nearby. A great stop to better understand the culture and history of Tampa Bay.

If you find yourself with kids in Tampa, I highly suggest the Tampa Bay History Center. Staff was super nice and helpful, gift shop was great. There were also Spanish translations for all the activities.

I've been to many museums and this History Center impresses! The WWI trench art, I had not seen before, fantastic! The rare maps are a must see, real original pieces and I especially enjoyed seeing the one that represented how close German U Boats were to our shoreline, it was very alarming. Beautifully put together! Great location.

We loved the self guided tour and learned lots about Tampa Bay history. The kids had a great time! There is a dress up section that's super cute. We spent about 1.5 hours and really took our time. The short history films are also excellent.
Larisa V — Google review
I only visited the ground floor, where there is an exhibition about Indian peoples. Excellent, modern, interesting! With two films in theaters and one documentary. An excellent description of the life and beliefs of mainly the Seminole tribe.
Kika D — Google review
Today I had the pleasure of visiting the Tampa Bay History Center, and it exceeded every expectation I had — so much so that I immediately purchased a family membership before leaving. The staff made the experience even more memorable; each team member I interacted with was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about sharing Tampa Bay’s rich story. Their kindness and professionalism set a tone of warmth and genuine pride that resonated throughout the entire visit. I spent several hours exploring the galleries, and it quickly became clear that the Tampa Bay History Center offers far more than a typical museum visit — it’s an immersive journey through centuries of fascinating history. From the deeply moving exhibits on Florida’s indigenous peoples to the vibrant and detailed displays about the cigar industry that helped shape Ybor City, every gallery was thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented. The pirate exhibit on the top floor was an absolute standout. It was not only visually stunning but packed with captivating stories and artifacts that brought the legends of Florida’s privateers and pirates vividly to life. It’s an experience that both children and adults can truly appreciate — adventurous, educational, and just downright fun. Another highlight of my visit was stepping onto the outdoor balconies. The views overlooking the Garrison Channel are simply breathtaking, offering a peaceful moment to reflect while enjoying the gorgeous Tampa Bay skyline and waterfront. What I truly appreciated about the Tampa Bay History Center is how thoroughly and authentically it tells the story of our region. From the early native cultures to Spanish exploration, Seminole history, the cattle and citrus industries, and even modern growth into a vibrant international city, the Center weaves it all together seamlessly. Every exhibit is engaging, rich with original artifacts, interactive displays, and multimedia presentations that make history accessible and exciting for all ages. The museum itself is stunning — a beautiful three-story waterfront building located in the heart of Tampa’s Water Street District, adjacent to the Tampa Riverwalk. It’s incredibly easy to combine a visit with a day downtown, whether you’re heading to Sparkman Wharf, Amalie Arena, or simply strolling along the riverfront. If you are a local resident or a visitor to Tampa Bay, I cannot recommend the Tampa Bay History Center highly enough. It offers not only a deep appreciation for where we’ve come from but a beautiful glimpse into what makes this area so special today. I am already looking forward to returning again (and again) — there is truly too much history, pride, and inspiration here to experience in just one visit.
Mark M — Google review
Nestled perfectly on the water along the Riverwalk, the Tampa Bay History Center is an absolute treasure and a must-visit for anyone interested in Florida's dynamic story. It seamlessly blends engaging historical context with the vibrant atmosphere of its downtown location. The exhibits are phenomenal, especially the section dedicated to Tampa's Cuban-American heritage and the role of Ybor City. The meticulous detail in reconstructing historical spaces, like a cigar roller’s station, truly transports you back in time. Another highlight is the maritime history wing, which beautifully illustrates the importance of the port with large maps, models, and captivating tales of explorers. What makes the visit so worthwhile is the excellent mix of hands-on activities for all ages and the high quality of the artifacts. Everything is clearly labeled and well-maintained. The view from the third-floor gallery, overlooking the bay and harbor, is also spectacular and provides a wonderful moment of reflection. The staff and docents are clearly passionate about Tampa’s history, and their willingness to share anecdotes elevates the experience from a simple viewing to a genuine educational journey. If you’re looking to understand the unique cultural tapestry of the Tampa Bay area, you need to spend a half-day here. The admission price is incredibly reasonable for the quality and scope of the collection.

The Tampa Museum of Art is a modern and classical art museum located in the downtown arts district of Tampa Bay, Florida. It offers a creative environment for exploring outstanding visual art through its permanent and temporary collections and exhibitions. The museum's state-of-the-art space features translucent ceilings, polished stone floors, and a focus on antiquities as well as modern and contemporary art. In addition to showcasing its collection, the museum hosts educational programs, lectures, workshops for both adults and children throughout the year.
Pay by donation, so only pay what you can afford or what you'd like to donate to support the Museum. This one has a fantastic collection of artifacts from antiquity including Egyptian, Roman and Greek carvings, jewelry and more. Even an early Christian relic or two. Additionally they have an incredible collection of paintings from far and wide including a massive impressionism area. If you're a casually curious person you could view everything in an hour. If you're an enthusiast or a lover of art and history you'll be pleased to spend 2-3+ hours taking it all in. No food or drinks allowed or sold on-site, but there's a lovely gift shop. Enjoy!

I really enjoy coming to the Tampa Bay Art museum. They are working with Bank of America cardholders to let them in for free the first of the month. I saw some nice artwork. Just took one star off because there was a gallery section that was closed. I’ve seen there was more objects on view before. They are probably setting up for an exhibition.

I recently visited the Tampa Museum of Art and had a very good experience. One of the best things about this museum is that admission is free for college students, which makes it so accessible. The variety of art on display is impressive -- there’s truly something for everyone. I especially loved the collection of impressionist pieces, which were beautifully curated and gave me a deeper appreciation for the style. The galleries are well-organized and easy to navigate, creating a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. Overall, it’s a great place to spend an afternoon and immerse yourself in creativity and culture. Highly recommend!

Beautiful! Each showroom evokes different moods and allows guests to step into something new while remaining comfortable. There are always seats available, so don't worry about standing if that's an issue. The catwalk outside is a wonderful break from the gallery and has a great view of the Riverwalk and beyond! We'll certainly be back!

We visited w/ our NARM reciprocal so not sure how much it was to get in, spent about an hour, though I admit we walked quickly thru w/o reading all the pieces because I was hungry. It’s a lovely museum, one floor w/ an array of children’s’ art work, Caribbean vibes, Chrysler hybrid on balcony, impressionist paintings, European sculptures, clay works, surrealism and a lovely wildflower piece by Jennifer Steinkamp. There’s an inexpensive parking garage, pay w/ Park Mobile and an easy walk to both museums.

Light-filled, airy, and a lot of open space enclosed by 90 degree angles. I got tickled by the free standing stairs that lead to the main exhibition floor and by that added to the depth of the space. Interestingly enough, with that entrance, I didn't have much appetite for the classics and spent most of my time with Purvis Young and the flag makers of Haiti. I really enjoyed the space.

I wasn’t sure what to expect before stepping foot into the Tampa Museum of Art, but I was pleasantly surprised! Every exhibit is brimming with gorgeous, awe-inspiring pieces, all steeped in historical and cultural significance. If you visit the “Joseph Veach Noble, Through the Eye of a Collector” exhibit, be sure to look for the “Bag with Natron,” which is a linen bag discovered in the tomb of King Tutankhamun from 1323 BCE. How amazing is that! Other standout pieces for me were from the “American Gaze: Impressionism” exhibit. I especially loved an early work by Claude Monet and an untitled painting of the Tuileries Garden in Paris by Chauncey Foster Ryder. The museum itself is a delight, complete with a picturesque view overlooking the Hillsborough River and the beautiful Moorish Revival architecture of the University of Tampa. I’d definitely recommend a visit!

The Henry B. Plant Museum, housed in the former Tampa Bay Hotel, is a National Historic Landmark that offers visitors a glimpse into Florida's early tourism industry and Gilded Age opulence. The museum showcases the elite lifestyle of the hotel's guests through exhibits and interactive programming, preserving original furniture and objects from the 1891 hotel. Its Victorian-era architectural masterpiece with pewter filigreed arches and soaring silver minarets sets an opulent ambiance.
I visited the Henry B Plant Museum this last weekend on a girls trip. So glad we made this a stop. The history and beautiful architecture was stunning. The staff were so helpful and informative. It only cost $12 per person. Super cute gift shop as well. Just be informed it’s not a museum about plants lol.

This place is beautiful. The history and the easy access to the audio tour with your own phone was great. Staff were helpful and accommodating. I wish there was more of it open to the public but a large part of it is owned and used by the university from what I understood. Still a cool and interesting place which takes you to the past with authentic Pieces and rooms. The park in front is beautiful too and affords excellent views of the building.

I didn't go into the museum, only checked the building out. This is a beautiful building, which has been the main complex of the University of Tampa since 1933. Henry B. Plant (1819-99), a businessman mainly involved with railroads, commissioned this Moorish complex, spent $3 million, and it opened in 1891. It was the headquarters for troops going to Cuba during the Spanish-American War (1898), and Colonel Theodore Roosevelt stayed here.

Visiting the Henry B. Plant Museum feels like stepping into another century. Located inside the historic Plant Hall at the University of Tampa, this place beautifully preserves the legacy of the Gilded Age and the vision of Henry B. Plant — the man who brought luxury and innovation to Tampa. The architecture is stunning — from the silver minarets and grand arches to the elegant interiors filled with original furniture and art. Every room tells a story, and the attention to detail is simply breathtaking. You can almost imagine the glamorous guests who once stayed here when it was the Tampa Bay Hotel. The museum is small but incredibly well curated. The staff is friendly and passionate about history, and the exhibits provide a clear picture of how Tampa evolved thanks to the railroad and tourism. It’s not just a museum — it’s a window into Florida’s past. Perfect for history lovers, architecture enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a quiet cultural experience in the heart of Tampa. Don’t miss the chance to walk through this iconic landmark — it’s timeless.

This is a fascinating and gorgeous gem; not just for national history, but for local Tampa history especially. Coming here is literally stepping back into the past, at a time when one man's vision and taste for nice luxury redefined how we experienced them. Also, be sure to engage the staff who are knowledgeable and friendly.

The woodwork alone is beautiful. We visited tampa college and went into the museum end of it. The building, porch, stairs are all beautiful. Detail was a wow. We like to visit old architecture buildings and compare the difference between today's building and yesteryear. Huge difference!

The museum itself is absolutely beautiful—rich in history, well curated, and visually stunning. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance by a very friendly staff member, and we explored the entire museum while carrying our shopping bags and backpack without any issues. However, our visit took an unfortunate turn at the very end. As we stopped by the museum shop, the woman working there abruptly asked us to leave the shop and return our belongings to the front desk. The tone and manner of the request felt unwelcoming and unnecessary, especially after walking through the entire museum without any concern from other staff. I’ve visited museums all over the world, and this kind of treatment is disappointing. It left a sour note on what was otherwise a wonderful experience. The museum itself is worth visiting, but I hope the staff at the shop reconsiders how they interact with guests. A little courtesy goes a long way.

The Manatee Viewing Center, located in Apollo Beach, is a protected marine reserve that offers visitors the opportunity to observe Florida manatees in their natural habitat. The center features a 50-ft. observation tower, trails, a boardwalk, and butterfly gardens for visitors to explore. Additionally, there are colorful displays and exhibits providing information about manatees and their habitat. Visitors can also experience a hurricane simulator and learn about storm preparedness while enjoying the award-winning butterfly gardens surrounding the center.
I had such a wonderful experience at the Manatee Viewing Center! It’s a beautiful and relaxing spot to connect with nature, and the best part is that it’s completely free! While the stingray pool is no longer open, the manatees more than made up for it. Watching these gentle giants up close was an incredible experience. The staff is friendly, and the educational displays really help you appreciate the importance of preserving these amazing creatures. The views are stunning, and it’s just an all-around peaceful environment. Whether you’re a local or visiting, I highly recommend spending a few hours here to enjoy the manatees and the serene surroundings!

A lovely outing to learn about Manatee migration at Big Bend. We always go in January when it is relatively cold, it makes the trip to the concession stand for Hot Cocoa worth it. We get to see so many Sea Cows and their babies playing around, flapping their large tails and huddling together to stay warm. The museum, sting ray pool and souvenir shop are all very nice. I enjoyed it as much as my little one.
Anna L — Google review
This was our first time here and it was opening day. Very well maintained ,Not too crowded on the viewing docks . A very nice place to relax and watch nature, plus it’s free. Beautiful views. We saw 3-4 Manatees, shark swimming in circles, fish jumping out of the water and some tarpons.
Liz P — Google review
The manatee viewing center is a top notch off-the-beaten path site for Tampa Bay locals and visitors. We only saw one manatee during our visit and it was pretty well out into the water. But that was OK. We did see some sharks as we made our way along the tidal boardwalk that gives you that old Florida vibe before the sunshine state was overrun with development. Best of all, it is free! Highly recommended!
Jerrold F — Google review
Nice view of the Manitees from the platform, a few huddled directly below, they are so docile and slow moving, rarely surface for air. Free to get in, parking was adequate.
Rob H — Google review
Awesome free experience. Great place to be outside and enjoy a stroll among the trails. Viewing the manatees was interesting. You could spend 30 minutes or 3 hours depending on how much you do. Beware: parking is a challenge on a pleasant weekend afternoon, so go early.
John T — Google review
What an amazing experience! I'm from the Northeast US and have never seen manatees in person. We visited this past weekend while on holiday to Florida. The water is getting warmer already in Florida so we only saw 30 or so manatees but a few came right up to the dock we were standing on. Locals told us the best time to visit to see hundreds of manatees is December-January, but I was still very impressed. The experience is FREE! We had to park on overflow parking but they had large golf cart shuttles to and from the entrance so it was very convenient. This is an absolute must visit!
Jessica H — Google review
Busy place, we had to park at the overflow parking lot getting there at 10:30 on Saturday. Well maintained trail, a little bit walk to the center if not taking the free shuttle. Friendly staff, activity table for kids here and there, my kids loved them! Saw many manatees from the bridge, and some giant fish, rays. We also went to the observation tower which is a long walk (more than a mile) from the center, from there it is close to the overflowing parking lot. There is a free shuttle bus to the sea turtle hospital from this parking lot, the place is also worth a visit.

Hillsborough River State Park, one of Florida's oldest state parks, has been a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts since 1938. Visitors can enjoy various water activities such as fishing, kayaking, and swimming in the park's pool. The park also offers interactive history lessons about the indigenous people who fought against invaders for their land. Nature lovers can explore a seven-mile nature trail with diverse plant and flower species.
Unbelievable scenery and a glimpse into real Florida. Wonderful trails, mostly shaded. The campgrounds look awesome but we weren't staying overnight. Very well-maintained trails and loved seeing the rapids! Gators and other wildlife were amazing to see. Highly recommend if you love nature and trails
Lauren M — Google review
Unfortunately, some of the trails were "temporarily" closed, but I enjoyed my visit here nonetheless. Trails have plenty of canopy helping to protect from the brutal Florida sun. The suspension bridge was a beautiful sight to see. The next trip here will likely include kayak rental to explore the park from the river. It's definitely worth a visit. I recommend hiking shoes vice sneakers. Depending on the season, I suggest an early arrival to beat the heat.
Berlin 1 — Google review
This is a really nice park. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to visit it. The campground was clean with nice facilities. Laundry, dish washing sink, clean showers, vending machine for laundry soaps, electric and water hook ups. The sites are close together but each one is spacious. There are lots of nice trails to hike and walk along the river. The only downsides really were that 2 of the main trails were still closed from the hurricanes. Seems like it's been long enough that they would have them reopened by now. The two trails on the south side of the park, which could be connected by walk into a neighboring park to form a nice 6 mile loop, were opened. However, the connecting park and the adjoining road to it is also closed. So you end up doing two out and back hikes instead and never actually make it to the river. You can walk along the river in the north part of the park, but this is more of an easy public walking trail and it's not very long. Also they have a little store and you can rent kayaks and canoes, but unfortunately, not on Tuesday or Wednesday, as they are closed these days. Which seemed odd but I guess they are cutting costs and those are likely their slowest days(which is exactly why it a better to go on these days, but I guess the trade off is you won't be able to rent a canoe or kayak). So just a few minor issues but overall a beautiful park. Hopefully the trails will open up soon.

Beautiful park. One bridge along with a restroom and half of the playground but still very enjoyable. Love walking hikes along the river!
Fe E — Google review
I had an amazing time visiting Hillsborough River State Park. The entire experience was refreshing and full of natural beauty. The trails were well-maintained and perfect for hiking, with just the right mix of challenge and ease. Walking through the park felt like stepping into another world, surrounded by tall trees, winding river paths, and the peaceful sounds of nature. The people we met along the way were incredibly kind and friendly. Everyone, from fellow hikers to park staff, had smiles on their faces and were always willing to help or say a warm hello. It made the whole atmosphere feel safe and welcoming. I went with Sunny, and we both had a great time exploring the park together. We saw so many interesting animals, birds, and even a few turtles near the water. It’s a perfect place for nature lovers or anyone who just wants to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. The signboards were clear and helpful, and everything was very well organized. From the parking to the restrooms to the picnic spots, it felt like the park was designed with care and thought for visitors. Even though I’m usually in Noida, this park in Florida gave me an experience I won’t forget. It’s a beautiful spot with so much to offer, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Whether you’re hiking, taking pictures, or just relaxing under the trees, Hillsborough River State Park is truly worth the visit.
Safdar N — Google review
I went for hiking on 09/14/25. As of then, both Baynard and Seminole trails are still not in use due to hurricane Milton from picture 2024. The bathrooms by the former pool are unusable, and taped off with caution tape. Both playgrounds have elements blocked with caution tape. I have grown up in this park: camping, hiking, birthday parties, etc. This is not the fault of the rangers, they are doing their best; but it's sad too see so much not in use nearly a year later. Hiking on the River Rapids trail was lovely though. This park is a piece of authentic old Florida and I hope it comes back fully.
Nic T — Google review
Was a beautiful and relaxing place to hike and get some fresh air. Our dogs enjoyed walking the trails with us and the river was beautiful even saw a little gator and of course many birds. A ranger was even kind enough to lead us to the right area and give us a mini tour and interesting history lesson on the land and indigenous tribes that called this area home. He even shared a tip for a hidden gem along the path that we were happy to find. Would def be back with probably a pack lunch to enjoy 😉

Hillsborough River State Park is an absolute treasure for nature lovers, families, and anyone looking to escape into Florida's wild beauty. The park is incredibly well-maintained, with stunning walking trails, lush greenery, and the peaceful sound of the flowing river creating a serene atmosphere. The suspension bridge over the river is a must-see—it adds a touch of adventure and offers fantastic photo opportunities. Kayaking on the river was both exciting and calming, with plenty of wildlife to spot along the way, from turtles to herons. Picnic areas are shaded and perfect for a relaxing lunch, and the park staff are friendly and helpful. It’s hard to believe such a peaceful, natural escape is just a short drive from Tampa! Highly recommended for hiking, paddling, picnicking, or just reconnecting with nature. I can't wait to go back!

ZooTampa at Lowry Park, located in North Tampa, Florida, is a renowned zoo that offers an exciting and educational experience for visitors of all ages. The zoo provides opportunities for up-close encounters with a diverse range of animals from around the globe, including big cats, primates, reptiles, and birds. With its commitment to conservation and education, ZooTampa at Lowry Park aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting wildlife and their habitats.
We LOVE this zoo! They have a lot of stuff to do for all ages! We have a two year old and he loves the carousel and the splash pad! We were finally able to do the safari thing and he also loved that. Everyone here is very nice and knowledgeable. They have a lot of different animals to look at and they are all well taken care of. My only complaint is to maybe put fans on the safari truck; it gets HOT on that thing.

I love animals and my husband, and I decided to pop in the zoo for a little day date! It wasn’t packed and we got to see lots of animals! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got some souvenirs from the gift shop and it wasn’t too overpriced. It’s about average. It would be a great place to go on a date or to take your children!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS ZOO!!!!We came here during the week on a Wednesday in October during the day time and it was not crowded at all we had the time of our lives, i went up on to 6 or 7 different zoo keepers and asked tons of questions about the animals we were near and every single one of them answered my questions with ease and were super friendly. There was one zookeeper named Joe who was near the Orangutans and he was so knowledgeable and kind talked to for almost 15 minutes and knew every single question i had to ask. Plenty of water fountains and shady areas to cool off in. Safari Ride was a must! Devin was our guide on the ride .He was awesome very informative and super personable. There wasn’t a single question i asked that he could not answer with additional information on top of it. Every animal was active and visible but with the exception of one or two and if you go to lots of zoos you know that’s just apart of it but it was nice to see how the zoo made sure the animals could be comfortable and visible at the same time. Loved the Free Encounters they do with the Manatees and the Other Animals. We watched the one with the Orangutan and you HAVE to do this when you come!!You get to see them up close and have a great view and it’s a surreal experience being so close to them and we didn’t have to pay anything extra to do so.You also HAVE TO FEED THE LORIKEETS!!!! Since it was slow that day the Kind Lady who worked the Enclosure gave us a bit extra food when feeding since there was no one waiting behind us. It’s little things like that make It feel so personable and enjoyable. We also went thru the Dinosaur area And OH MY GOSH WAS IT SO COOL. They have life size dinosaurs you can get right up next too that are animatronic and so life like.Im an adult and felt like i was 10 years old again it was amazing! 10/10 Would recommend visiting here. I didn’t meet a single staff member who wasn’t friendly as can be and Also SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE.Food and drinks are widely avaible everywhere. We had A Pizzafor lunch in the africa area that tasted great! Overall 10/10 i got my moneys worth and can’t wait to come back!!!

This zoo is awesome. I was visiting from Miami for a concert and decided to extend my trip to enjoy the zoo. It’s not as big as ZooMiami, but it makes up for it with a lot of heart and some great theming. I’m particularly fond of the Animal Kingdom style safari ride they have here. It’s great and super informative. The Africa and Florida sections are really good but the Australia section leaves a LOT to be desired. That being said, I highly recommend coming here either by yourself, as a couple, or as a family. It really is fun for all ages.
Nicholas J — Google review
I have been to a few different cities Zoos but this is one of the better ones for sure. They got a great selection of animals and activities for all ages. They got a show on Disney + called Secrets of the Zoo: Tampa, if you want to check it out before going to ZooTampa. There are a ton of food options and different animal experiences as well. I would recommend signing up for the experiences in advance to make sure there is availability the day you want to go. They have added a dinosaur exhibit and they also do theme events during the holidays. If you live in the Tampa Bay Area, I would recommend buying the pay for the day pass because you can come back as much as you want for a year.
Charles D — Google review
Was really looking forward to this visit at they claim its a top zoo. Its got a lot of unique activities, unfortuantely all of them seem to be closed or abandoned. The water slide was not running, and most of the booths and other quick service stands had no employees running them. Was hard to find anything to eat or drink The zoo was dead, as in it felt like a ghost town which in a way is nice because some animals were closer due to the low noise of bigger crowds it just felt very very. We tried to go into the African resteraunt and they said the kitchen was closed, the water slide in florida was not running, there were no handlers out to talk to us about the animals, no encounters, or really any sort of event other than the Halloween event which takes place after normal business hours. Very quiet but hard to find any events to do. Really like the australia area which had lots of play items for kids to burn energy out on while also getting see animals. Feels like an educational but fun place to visit, would really enjoy coming back still even with the setbacks experienced. Feels like a blend between a amusement park and zoo. Good value.

The Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) in Tampa is a leading science center with over 450 interactive exhibits and activities. It aims to inspire interest and understanding in science, industry, and technology. Visitors can enjoy hands-on experiences such as exploring a drone and robot zone, witnessing live science demonstrations, visiting the planetarium, strolling through the Bio-Works butterfly garden, and engaging in daily science talks.
We absolutely loved visiting this museum. We were able to do all the activities they had and the planetarium was jaw-dropping. It's as close to space as some of us will get. My son enjoyed the ropes course and my daughter loved all the hands-on activities. We will be back another time!!

My 8 year old son and I enjoyed our first visit to MOSI in October 2025. The IMAX show about the planets was educational, the curator gentleman is a great asset. The rope course was challenging yet fun and the AI exhibit was a great learning opportunity. My son tried to fly a drone. The facilities were clean and the museum stuff was attentive and friendly. We recommend this museum and look forward to returning when they build the indoor sports center.

They got the theater/digital planetarium back and better than ever with laser light shows.... There is a bar in the basement serving up a full liquor bar, with two shots away bartending, while the kids play! The exhibit on sea monsters and dragons was pretty informative. Looking forward to being a member and coming back throughout the year. Although, I am still quite nostalgic for the old MoSi building and wind tunnel (that fits more than 3 People) and the NASA space center that used to be in there, I am so happy the theater has reopened!

We spent several hours this visit and while I see so many missed opportunities I would still suggest a visit. The main reason I poke at the missed opps is a seemingly lack of compassion from the team in place. Someone should take a walk through the center and just look around. Tidy up, spruce up and fix what is broken. Also, when speaking to an audience proportionally young, the presenter should remember to consider their audience, both for understanding and attention span. Still, a must visit when in Tampa.

I booked Arcadia Earth Tampa as part of my son’s birthday weekend, and unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. It started on the wrong foot when I couldn’t locate the tickets in my email. There was no phone number to call, and by the time someone replied to my email, our time slot had already passed. After about a week of back-and-forth, I finally received the tickets. I even purchased an extra ticket for my son’s friend, hoping this would be a memorable outing. Once inside, we were excited by the 360° screen and visuals—but quickly noticed that a large portion of the screen was blacked out, clearly showing the laptop interface. Just a few minutes in, the system crashed and had to be rebooted. Glitches continued throughout the experience, which made it difficult to stay immersed. The content itself was disappointing. While the visuals had potential, the storyline was cheesy and, at times, awkward (an astronaut speaking with a woman who declares, “We are making science sexy”). The tone often turned dark, with music that my 10-year-old son and his friend both found unsettling. The message leaned heavily into climate-change themes—without explicitly saying so—but came across more like propaganda than an engaging, educational experience. To make matters worse, the promotional Instagram highlights immersive visuals from their Ontario location, which does not reflect what you actually get in Tampa. Between the technical issues and misleading advertising, we left early. For $80+, this was absolutely not worth the cost. At best, it felt like something that should be a $10 add-on at the museum, not a standalone experience. Save your money and find a more worthwhile family outing.

Tampa’s Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) delivers an energetic, hands-on science experience in roughly 50,000 sq ft of exhibit space. With over a hundred interactive stations optical illusions, brain puzzles, even a bed of nails you’re encouraged to experiment, not just observe. The standout attractions include a state‑of‑the‑art digital planetarium, a VR simulator, and the thrilling Sky Trail® ropes course. MOSI also hosts engaging rotating exhibits recently “Grossology” (all things bodily) and “Wooden Wonders of the World” to keep repeat visits fresh . The Mission: Moonbase lunar colony is a NASA-backed immersive draw, especially for aspiring space fans. Some visitors note the museum feels more like an interactive play zone for younger kids rather than a traditional science center . That said, the drone‑flying and planetarium shows remain popular highlights for all ages. In about three hours, you can dive into STEM, climb, explore butterflies, and even play SciLinx mini‑golf. For families, MOSI offers a fun, stimulating outing especially if you skip the ‘look but don’t touch’ museums.

Theaters
Tampa Theatre, a historic movie palace built in 1926, is a must-visit cultural attraction in Florida. Recognized as one of the most spectacular theaters globally, it hosts over 600 events annually, including films, concerts, and festivals. The iconic landmark boasts old-world features and a Wurlitzer organ. As the first air-conditioned commercial building in the city, it offers daily screenings of classic and independent films along with music concerts featuring renowned artists like Ray Charles and John Legend.
My time at the Tampa was magnificent and was paid off. Very much enjoyed the September Sunday Sing Alongs with Grease, and I say it's the most beautiful theater and the most enjoyable experience the whole family will enjoy. Definitely will visit again at another time!

Walking into the Tampa Theatre is like stepping back in time. The moment you cross the threshold, you're transported to an era of opulence and grandeur. The celestial ceiling twinkles with "stars" and a sense of wonder, making every visit feel like a special occasion. The architecture is the star of the show. It's a breathtaking blend of Moorish, Spanish, and Italian Renaissance styles that you won't find anywhere else. The ornate details on the walls, the lush curtains, and the intricate carvings are a testament to the craftsmanship of a bygone era. It’s an immersive experience that a modern cinema just can't replicate. While the beauty of the theater is undeniable, it's the experience that truly makes it special. Watching a film here is an event, not just a casual outing. They show a fantastic mix of classic movies, indie flicks, and new releases, so there's always something interesting on the schedule. And the pre-show organ music played on the theater's original Wurlitzer organ is a magical touch that sets the perfect mood. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the concessions offer a good variety of snacks and drinks. While the seats are comfortable, be prepared for an authentic, historic theater experience. You're not going to find stadium seating, but that's part of its charm. The Tampa Theatre is more than just a place to watch a movie; it's a living piece of history, an artistic masterpiece, and a true gem of the city. Whether you're a film buff, a history lover, or just looking for a unique night out, the Tampa Theatre is an absolute must-see.

I absolutely love it, it's so unique and it really shakes up the routine to visit this theater in Downtown Tampa. I'm a big fan of both classic and modern films; it's a fantastic choice at a reasonable price, with plenty of activities nearby to enjoy before or after the movie. Honestly, we had an amazing time

What an excellent experience this was. The show was super fun and had an incredible set up. The theater is absolutely gorgeous and has so many cool and unique features to it. Lots of history and facts about it. We had an amazing time at the Hokus Pokus live show! Definitely glad we made it down for this event! Thank.

Brought my Mom and family to see Hokus Pokus Live! Starring Ginger Minj, Jujubee, and Sapphira Cristál Was wheelchair accessible for mom, seats were great, even fit my big bum and had a place for drinks. Sound great! Show great! Have to give accolades to the ladies watching over the 2 accessible bathrooms. Making sure the accessible folk get in, thank you! Can't wait for the next show with the family at Tampa Theater 🤗

What a gem! The outside of the building is magnificent, the inside has wonderful details that makes for a fantastic experience. Everywhere I turned, I saw another carefully presented detail. The main theater creates a night sky with stars. The performances are wonderful, and it's worth just going to see the building

Beautiful theater, very nice inside. Staff were friendly and helpful, as were the booking team when we were making our group booking. Acoustics were good too. Drinks prices were reasonable considering it was a theater, not much different than some of the bars in the area. Would definitely recommend going if there were any shows that were of interest.

I love this place! The seats are a tight squeeze not gonna lie but it's always a good time. They only serve candy and popcorn-food wise - so don't come hungry. They serve a decent variety of beer, and mixed drinks here.

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is a popular 8-acre urban park in downtown Tampa, Florida, known for its picturesque setting along the Hillsborough River. The park features fenced-in areas with drinking bowls for pets and hosts free monthly concerts. It's a favorite spot for engagement photos due to its unique design overlooking the University of Tampa's historic Henry B. Plant Museum.
Great place to unwind after a long day of anything!!!! The atmosphere is great. You can walk, run, ride or scoot down the sidewalk path from the Convention Center all the way to Armature Works. Sipping is allowed, actually, I recommend it (only after dark tho, it's too hot otherwise). There's a little amphitheater area that's 420 friendly 🥴😉😶‍🌫️💨. They have a nice playground for the little guys. It's downtown, so there's direct access to food trucks, stores, etc.

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown Tampa is one of my favorite spots in the city. With stunning views of the Hillsborough River and the skyline, it’s the perfect place to relax, take a walk, or enjoy the sunset. The park is clean, well-maintained, and always buzzing with activity from yoga classes and food trucks to weekend markets and festivals. There’s a great playground for kids, a dog park, and plenty of open space for picnics or just lounging under the trees. It’s also a short walk to great spots like the Tampa Museum of Art and Armature Works. Whether you’re visiting or local, this park is a must-see and truly captures the heart of downtown Tampa.

My kid and I frequent this park throughout the year and it's nice but the playground is quite small. I would recommend expanding it and adding swings and a few other things. During Christmas, this park comes alive and I give it 5 stars! There are beautifully decorated trees scattered throughout the park and festive activities during the evening hours which include ice skating.

The Hindu Temple of Florida in Tampa is a stately temple and cultural center with intricate architectural details and a serene atmosphere. It has become one of the best places to visit in the area, attracting thousands of visitors each year. The temple showcases classic Vedic architecture and houses a wide variety of Hindu deities. Visitors can also experience friendly Brahmanas offering puja and enjoy delicious prasadam at reasonable prices.
This temple is truly a sanctuary for the soul! It feels just like home—peaceful, authentic, and filled with divine bliss. Whether you’re carrying heartaches or seeking answers to prayers, this sacred place offers solace and hope. The energy here is unmatched, leaving you uplifted and renewed. A must-visit for anyone seeking spiritual connection or simply a serene retreat from life’s challenges. Highly recommended!

Temple is extremely beautiful although when we visited there was some construction being done and what seemed like a wedding or a celebration, as there were multiple women dressed in traditional garb and practicing their dance steps. There is ample parking that is not at all far from the temple, so you don't have to worry about waking several miles once you park. There is a free guided tour that you can take; however, you must register in advance and there's is a dress code for the your.

Must visit if you are in Tampa. You will find eternal peace in the temple. It is beautiful, calm and fills you with spiritual essence. Special mention is needed to the staff of Temple canteen/cafe. I am so impressed with their work ethics and dedication. It was a long weekend, big crowd, everyone wants their food sooner on their tables. But this team handled the rush so well, that they can for sure handle road traffic in major cities of India. You all are unbelievable! Hats off to your patience. On top of that, food quality here is far better than we get in any Indian restaurant in US. Its tasty, clean and the best part is very cost efficient. The price is 30-50% cheaper than any Indian restaurant in Florida. Must, Must and MUST visit. I am definitely going to come again. Thank you and keep inspiring! 🙏🏻

Nice temple with both Vishnu (Satya Narayana) and Shiva deities. The main area next to the entrance has a shoe stand to leave your shoes (as Hindu temples require that you leave any footwear outside). You can then take an elevator to the second level for main shrine or climb up the steps (these can be super hot on warm days). There is an automated kiosk to get Archana ticket. It was fairly quiet when we went and I was able to sit down and pray without any disturbance. Main shrines are for Vishnu (Satya Narayana), Goddess Lakshmi, Murugan, lord Ganeshanans Rama. There are further shrines for Panchamukhi Anjaneya, Nava Graham and Saibaba in the separate building. Since it is as Navarathri festival time, there was a nice display of "Golu". No visit to temples is complet without getting some Prasad (and some additional food!). Prasad Sadan has food you can pay for and included idli, vada, dosa and other vegetarian items including some sweets and savouries. Overall a lovely serene place to pray, visit for some quiet time or religious functions.

Attended the Dunedin Food Tour on Saturday 1/13/24, despite the chillier weather the food tour was excellent, we stopped off at 5 locations, and had a seafood theme, all very palatable and delicious. We fell in love with the Dunedin, lots of small Ma and Pa eateries which did not disappoint. Like the fact that adult beverages were included, and we got to try out different breweries, and seafood establishments which we likely wouldn't have known about. Met some nice people as well. We will definitely be coming back to Dunedin, as this tour was a great way to break the ice in our familiarity with the town. We loved the historical information Alex (tour guide) provided, and totally enjoyed the details of Dunedin establishments. Highly recommend the tour. Easy to book and available free parking helped. Overall excellent experience!

Enjoyed an Immersion Art Show of Van Gogh and Monet paintings on its last showing September 28. Great way to experience art as it really does envelope your senses! The Straz Center, in downtown Tampa, offers many other shows and it's worth it to join their email list. The theater itself needs some renovation but it's still a gem! Parking available on the street and in nearby garages, both offering reasonable hourly rates. The gift shop for the Art Show was pricey! On site restaurant was closed while I was there. Sunken Gardens, located just outside downtown St. Petersburg, is a century-old tropical paradise featuring over 50,000 exotic plants and birds from around the world. This botanical gem also includes a traditional Japanese koi pond, sparkling waterfalls, and a pollinator garden filled with native Florida butterflies. Visitors can stroll past colorful macaws, cockatoos, kookaburras, and flamingos while learning about the gardens' fascinating history dating back to the 1950s.
About an hours walk through the gardens. Met some of the bird residents being taken for their enrichment walks which was neat to see. Coral cactus kind of blew me away and it was great to see so many pollinators enjoying what the gardens offers. Well worth the ticket price, the koi in the fish pond were absolutely massive and you can pay to get pellets to feed them more 😆 the gift shop I do think would work better if it was more related to garden related items or art or anything. Instead it was a large assortment of just seemingly random gift stuff

It’s a nice green space with some interesting plants, flowing water features, and a nice retreat similar to other places of that era. If you want some beautiful scenery and wildlife, it’s a nice choice as a regular retreat if you live in the Bay Area. We got a good deal for a family membership so it’s nice to pop over and walk around for an hour or two as one of the few places to get some green around here. There are a couple of shady open areas with astroturf that are good for the kiddos to play. Otherwise there’s not much going on other than looking at things and relaxing. A nice option if you have visitors who love plants, or want something sedate, but mostly just a stroll and relaxing kind of spot.

This was a lovely experience and a great look at old Florida! The plants were beautiful and there was a great amount of information. Plenty of opportunities for cute pictures and we got to see a fair amount of wildlife as well. I felt tickets were well priced for the amount of time we spent and what we got to see. I also thought the gift shop was great. There were lots of cute things for someone looking for a souvenir from St Petersburg!

Escape the city without leaving the city. This garden transports you into a lush tropical oasis. Surrounded by vibrant colors, calming sounds, and layered textures of cascading landscapes, you can meander the blissfully winding trails for hours. Stop by the flamingos to see them dance in delight at feeding time. The Macaws and Tuscan show off their vivid colors at their own exhibits throughout the property. Other special sightings include butterflies, a kookaburra, tortoises, and turtle. The garden also provides ample opportunities for photo ops and has a gift shop as well.

A nice afternoon activity if you need to get out of the house. The place is huge so you will still find quiet corners even with a lot of people in the garden. Personal favorites/ highlights - Koi pond - Flamingo’s - A rainbow tree - If you are wondering what in the world resulted in this huge garden, there is a history center to give context If traveling with kids or older people- The only restrooms are in the visitor center. There is also a kids exploration center which seemed interesting. The ticket to this place for adults is $15, (note that they are raising it to $18 from oct 1,2025) which I felt was steep. They offer discounts if you are AAA member or VA. Overall, it’s a good afternoon activity if you want to get out of the house Plenty of parking is available at this place.

What an amazing garden tucked away in the heart of St. Petersburg. An easy trip off I-275, Sunken Gardens is definitely a treasure of a find and a must visit for those living in the Tampa Bay area. Sunken Gardens is arguably a Tampa/St. Petersburg staple for visitors that would love to see what the local area has to offer aside from beaches. For starters, you can find some neat deals for the Sunken Gardens on value sites such as Groupon, although the general admission fee is relatively reasonable compared to the aquariums, zoos, and other parks in the area. We found an annual family membership on Groupon which is pretty neat considering the perks that come with it - free admission to some popular museums during certain months, as well as reciprocal admission at other gardens (you can find a list of those on the website, while a more accurate list of this program is available with the main kiosk). There is free parking on site; the lot is also shared by the children's museum, Great Explorations. While there appears to be plenty of parking, I would recommend getting to this venue earlier to get a prime spot and to be able to stroll at your leisure without feeling too crowded in. Sunken Gardens is one of the smaller gardens we have been to as we travelled across the nation, but do not let it's small size fool you. There is plentiful flora that grows on this piece of real estate that will amaze you with their natural beauty. What makes Sunken Gardens unique is that it showcases a vast variety of palms, leveraging the temperate weather of Florida for the growth of these specimens (you won't find these up in the Northeast). Aside from the palms, there are various areas that are gorgeously arranged and curated to bring out the best in each plant. We definitely took our time to enjoy the trails that looped through the garden - there are also unimproved paths that are also accessible for viewing. Sprinkled throughout the garden are also a variety of beautiful birds to include a sanctuary for some flamingos. There are several bridges that cross some bodies of water, one of which hosts gigantic and marvelous koi. All-in-all, there are plentiful areas and spaces to explore within the garden which makes it such a wonderful garden. I highly recommend Sunken Gardens to everyone!

The park features slides, corkscrews, waterfalls, a wave pool, and a children's water playground. Additionally, there are outdoor cafes, picnic areas, gift shops, and a sand volleyball complex.
This park was so nice. I love that they had different play areas for the kids. One of them adults can enjoy just as much. They have slides and so many water works. There was a huge bucket that would fill up and an alarm would sound and it would tip over. My son didn’t like this area too much because all the water spewing everywhere. The wave pool was his favorite play areas. We were there 90% of our day. There were so many things to do your child will not be bored. I recommend the dining pass because it saves much money if you are there for long and want to eat. They have water fountains available. They just did not have any funnel cake. I took my youngest son here for his 13th birthday. We had a BLAST! The staff was excellent, which has been my experience at all parks owned and operated by Busch Gardens/SeaWorld. The dining pass was easy to use. Our cabana had a fridge and water in it, as well as a ceiling fan. At one slide, I was struggling to get the heavy raft up the stairs. Due to it being slow at the time, the lifeguard at the top, came down and carried the raft the rest of the way for me. Sebastian was our favorite. The lifeguards rotate ever 30ish minutes or so, so you get to see them at different attractions throughout the day. Sebastian was so pleasant and seemed like he enjoyed being there. He took the time to introduce himself and interact with us wherever we saw him. What a gem!

Only three restaurants participated, and the food quality was subpar, especially at Surfside Cafe. We ordered four meals, but one was missing, and we had to wait over 20 minutes for it to arrive. To make matters worse, the burger patty was frozen solid. Despite this, we still had a great time and would recommend the park to others. Hopefully, they'll work on improving their dining options.

We came on a Saturday over Memorial Day weekend and it was super hot and quite busy. Arrived around 11am and it was relatively quick to get in for a weekend. The park and bathrooms seemed pretty clean for how busy it was. We have a 2 y/o and 5 y/o so stuck mostly to kids areas and avoided the large slides that seemed to have very long lines. There was still plenty to do for young kids. There is a toddler size splash area along with a larger kids area that seems more suited for preschool-elementary ages, though some parts were okay for little ones. Finding somewhere to sit was nearly impossible and you could forget about sitting in the shade altogether. Bringing a blanket to maybe throw down in the grass somewhere might be a good option for busy weekends. Though 90% of the chairs are only occupied with people stuff. The park provides life jackets, though the smallest sizes were more scarce. If your kiddos have swim vests (with or without the arm floats), they can be brought in as long as they are coast guard approved (though I'm not sure anyone was checking). They are necessary for using the wave pool or lazy river if kids are not very strong swimmers. The walkways are also VERY hot in the sun, so I strongly recommend water shoes for all! Food options were mediocre. The app wasn't working at the time of our visit (some update happening) so we couldn't check menus or order food ahead. Lines were very long, and limited options. Overall, it's a great way to have fun in the Florida heat, but maybe not worth it on busy weekends.

Always loved Adventure Island but haven't been in a few years, today was amazing, weather was great and it wasn't super packed so we got to enjoy all the slides without long lines! Only negative is the ground, so many people walk barefoot and the concrete/ stone walkways really hurt our feet after a couple of hours

Adventure Island was a lot of fun for the whole family, I definitely recommend purchasing the all day dining plan as a family of 4 costs over $130 to eat. The cheapest way to get tickets is to become a member of CertifiKID and you can purchase regular weekday entry for $36.95 or weekday entry with the all day dining for $59.95. You're welcome.

Lettuce Lake Park, situated in the natural floodplain of the Hillsborough River, is a 240-acre park offering various outdoor activities. Established in 1982, it provides wooded picnic areas, playgrounds, cycling paths, and walking/jogging trails. The park also features an interpretative center with exhibits and an observation tower for wildlife viewing and birdwatching.
Cool park. Saw some gators around the boardwalk and at the lookout including a mama with her babies. The playground is optimal for 4-5 year olds. A little small for older children but nicely kept. A lot of awesome trails though and my family and I had a great day exploring.

This was a nice park with an impressive boardwalk. I don't think I've seen a boardwalk this long anywhere else. Peaceful and serene views of the water, lots of animals to be seen. Birds, gators, fish, turtles, are all over the place. Saw a pretty good sized gator with her babies. The cypress trees are amazing there too. There were a few I would have expected to see blocked off due to size and probable age but surprisingly they weren't. The tower is not too high, yet enough to get great views of the water. There are some nice, but short hiking trails, though you'll never forget you're in town cuz you can always hear the traffic from them, (but not while on the boardwalk, only the side trails). There are a few pavilions scattered around the park also that can be reserved. This is the 2nd Hillsborough county park I've been too recently and they are well maintained and cared for. You can rent canoes here also.

This was such a gorgeous park, especially for a picnic! The picnic shelters are all covered, secluded, and surrounded by palms and other trees. The boardwalk trail is very scenic and is great for birders, photographers, and general nature enthusiasts like myself!

Beautiful park that is filled with lots of shaded walking trails. This place is great for an afternoon outing with your family and friends. It is also a kid and pet friendly. This park sits on the lake so it has beautiful scenery, and wildlife available.

Had a good time, very full of nature. Lots of different trails to try out. There’s outside gym parks for exercise, and small play grounds for kids. They even have kayaks and paddles for rent. Lots of great offerings if you’re into nature.
Matt — Google review
It's so beautiful and peaceful. The park is large and secluded with many places to rent for picnic, parties, whatever your occasion. Call and you can reserve a certain area. But there are also plenty of places to stop and eat throughout that are free. The boardwalk is breathtaking. There is plenty of wildlife to see, and it's just so peaceful. Remember to look up for the sleeping screech owl or another bird life we have here. I got to see a cardinal, and walking through the trees was just serene. They are extending the board walk as well as updating and making repairs. It's a family or walkers/hikers dream. Many trail to take all over the place and a large one that goes around the perimeter.
Catherine C — Google review
Beautiful park, with access to a play ground, outdoor fitness equipment, picnic shelters and paddle boat/canoe rentals. However make no mistake, this park is a good example of wild Florida and offers a lot of paved and unpaved hiking as well as a boardwalk over wetlands with stellar plants and wild life to admire.

Weedon Island Preserve is a vast 3,190-acre nature reserve situated in north St. Petersburg along the shores of Tampa Bay. It offers a range of outdoor activities such as hiking, birdwatching, and paddling along designated trails for canoes and kayaks. Visitors can explore the diverse aquatic and upland ecosystems through nearly five miles of paths and boardwalks on foot or by water.
I had a great time visiting this park. The entrance is free, which is a huge plus, and the overall experience was just great. It was a beautiful day, and I really enjoyed walking around and taking in the sights. The restrooms were clean, which is always a relief when you're out and about. The only hiccup was finding parking; it was a bit tough to secure a spot since we arrived around noon. But overall, I highly recommend checking this place out!
Cesar M — Google review
We visited Weedon on our vacation since as a family, we enjoy hiking. It was a relatively easy hike with mostly dirt paths on the Boyscout trail which was more challenging even on a straightaway. The other trails had a boardwalk with several look out points and towers that one could climb. On our visit to FL, we chose to hike on a sunny weekday and it was relatively quiet. Lots of parking was available and there is an information centre where our young child was able to use the restroom. We hiked in January so there were no mosquitos however interestingly enough we saw lizards which my son loved. The weather was ideal as it was a warm 13C as opposed to our normal -10C. We chose to opt with windbreakers and layering options that we eventually took off. Highly suggest recommending sunscreen, snacks, hydration and taking breaks as needed. The two trails we traversed with our young son was quite easy as opposed to what we normally hike which is more of a hill and challenging terrain. Great for beginners and those looking for a leisurely stroll.

The views of Tampa Bay are beautiful, and the wildlife — from wading birds to fish and crabs — makes every visit feel a little different. The Cultural and Natural History Center adds an enriching touch, offering fascinating insight into the area’s Indigenous heritage and diverse ecosystems through interactive exhibits. Everything is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to make the experience enjoyable for all ages. Whether you’re looking for a scenic running route, a quiet nature walk, or a chance to learn about Florida’s history and environment, Weedon Island Preserve is an absolute must-visit. Peaceful, picturesque, and perfect for spending a few hours — or an entire day — outdoors.

An amazing place with endless trails. The trails are well maintained and you mostly walk in the shade. Peaceful and quiet. Benches are scattered around to rest. The Education Center is a great place to learn about the Native American presence in the area. The videos and exhibits are very informative. Super friendly docents! Will definitely come back to explore the other trails.

My husband and I love to find new trails to walk. I came across this place in my search and I’m so glad I did! We will definitely be back. Parking is free. When you first pull into Weedon preserve. You will drive about a mile or two before you come up on the first option for parking. You will see a gravel like area for a few cars to park at which will also have signage stating walking trail. These are the natural trails. They’re called north and south Boy Scout trails. These are beautiful natural trails. You will walk through trees on either side of you in nice cleared trail. You will walk over little ground bridges that add something fun to these trails. We walked both north and south trail and it was about 2 miles of trails. We do think that during rainy season these trails could be flooded in some areas. The bugs will also be pretty bad on these trails during the rainy seasons and hot Florida weather. We are here in March and it was absolutely beautiful this morning when we went. Once you exit these trails you will come across signage stating the direction of the other trails . We continued to follow those signs to the board walk trails. You will come up to an area that starts the boardwalk trails/paved walking trail. The boardwalk trails are beautiful! They sit a few feet above ground. They wind you in and out of beautiful trees and at times have areas to walk out to water views. Because this preserve has a lot to explore, most of the time we were on the trails alone. Occasionally walking by people, but most of the time we were enjoying the peaceful outdoor outdoors alone. We went around 9am. Eventually, we reached signs stating the direction to the information center. Once inside we were greeted by employees who give us information on the property and what all was inside this information center. This is a three-story building that has so much history. They even have a 1400 year-old canoe on display that they dug up on property. There is also a really cool walk-through exhibit that we did not expect to come across. Inside this building are the only bathrooms on property, a little gift shop with trinkets and a water fountain and water bottle fill station. They do not sell any water or drinks on property so make sure you bring your own. Once we left the information center, we saw signs directing us to the Lookout tower. This trail was a short amount of boardwalk that eventually led to a three story tower. You could climb to the top to get views of the surrounding area. My husband and I ended up exploring this whole property. The north and south Boy Scout trails were about 2 miles and rest of the boardwalk trails and information center were about 3 miles so in all we walked a little over 5 miles. You can walk as little or as much as you want on this property. Parking and everything is free so it’s such a great way to spend the day. They had a few areas with picnic tables if you choose to bring lunch and just enjoy the Florida outdoors. Don’t forget your water and bug spray! We also Saw in other reviews that parking was difficult, but we did go in the morning at 9 AM, parked by the natural trails so we didn’t have this same issue. We were the only car parked in those few parking spots when we arrived. No pets allowed at Weedon preserve.

Cypress Point Park is a waterfront park situated on Tampa Bay, offering a sandy beach, picnic areas, and a boardwalk for visitors to relish the water and scenic views. The park provides opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, kayaking, and paddleboarding. It's known for its purple beach grass and diverse landscape including rocks and dunes. Additionally, the park offers recreational activities such as sand volleyball and disc golf.
The parents came over for a visit & we all went to put our feet in the water. We all take for granted the beauty of the paradise we call home. We all love watching the planes land or take off there. Feels like you can almost touch them. No a peaceful remote park, if that what you're looking for. It's located very close to the airport. Planes fly just above the treeline so very exciting to experience, but in between that it's a beautiful beach like park on the bay. Great for sunsets after which they close.
M J — Google review
It was a nice place it's a small beach area but is has a wash off area near bathrooms and a playground and picnic tables. You can also see planes fly over low so maybe cool to see for kids and you can walk quite far and water will still be only up to your shoulders at most a yard out. Can see the bottom of ocean but it's not as blue as some of Tampa's water still nice would recommend.

Cypress Point Park offers excellent opportunities for viewing the sunrise and sunset, as well as photography. The proximity to Tampa International Airport also provides opportunities to observe aircraft. The beach features various roofed pavilions equipped with barbecue facilities, offering families a pleasant setting to enjoy the views while spending quality time together. The park offers a designated play area for children. Parking is available within the park, but it requires payment. Restrooms are clean and conveniently located. Cypress Point Park is an excellent place to spend time with family and offers beautiful views.

Such a beautiful spot for a family picnic! There are a few barbecue areas, great photo spots (saw several families doing photoshoots), and clean washrooms nearby. A lovely trail for a walk or run, and if your kids love airplanes, they’ll be thrilled — planes land every few minutes from the nearby airport. Didn’t stay for sunset, but I can imagine it’s stunning!

Wow! I love photos and art in general but it's not a museum, I felt cheated and disappointed. A glorified and generic photo exhibit that took around 10 minutes to see. Not worth $12 at all. Tampa Riverwalk is a 3.5-mile pedestrian pathway that runs along the Hillsborough River, offering stunning views of wildlife and connecting downtown Tampa with the city's waterfront, parks, hotels, museums, and restaurants. The area hosts significant events like the Gasparilla Music Festival and is lined with various entertainment options such as shops and bars.
Great place to get a good walk, run, or bike ride next to the water. Plenty of space on the trail. Awesome scenes throughout. Park for the little ones. Restaurants, bars, and clubs to grab a meal or a nice cocktail. You can go on a boat tour or rent water equipment. If it's a good day, you might catch a glimpse of dolphins playing in the water.

Tampa Riverwalk is an example of excellent utilization of public tax funds for the general welfare of citizens. The Riverwalk is brightly lit, spotlessly maintained, policed by security in the evenings, and includes many sites and accoutrements along its length such as swings, covered and lighted walks, and historic markers. Prior to the advent of Riverwalk, this area of downtown Tampa was run down and “seedy” so to speak. Well done!
Jeff P — Google review
Love the river walk!! Such an essential part of Tampa & it’s downtown life. If you need exercise, or want to a lovely view of parts of the city or University of Tampa, or want to check out some events there’s usually always something going on here. The riverwalk goes an impressively long ways if you are willing to follow. All the way from Armature Works, across the bridge into downtown along the Hillsborough River. One downside is that as you get closer to the downtown, there’s not much for shade. So when it’s muggy and crazy hot as it is like half the year in FL, it’s not near as enjoyable walking or running here. However, it’s still such a great way to be outside and immerse yourself in the city. Sometimes you can even see dolphins or fish swimming along in the water. There’s also a lot of art and history along certain parts of the path. You can find statues of significant Tampa figures, many of them women & women of color (whoop whoop), as well as art installations from local artists.
Raegan L — Google review
Tampa Riverwalk is absolutely beautiful! It’s one of the best spots in the city to enjoy a relaxing walk by the water, especially at sunset. The area is clean, safe, and full of energy with great restaurants, parks, and art along the way. I love how well-maintained it is and how easy it is to explore downtown from here. Whether you’re walking, biking, or just enjoying the view, the Riverwalk always feels vibrant and peaceful at the same time. Definitely a must-visit when in Tampa!
Arnold C — Google review
We were excited to explore the Riverwalk by bike and scooter, expecting it to be a lot of fun. There’s a great art museum nearby and a long scenic path along the river. Unfortunately, we picked the wrong time—it was extremely hot, almost too much to breathe. So instead, we took the water taxi tour, which was still a nice experience. If you plan to visit, I highly recommend going during a cooler time of day or season for the best experience.
Seohui ( — Google review
The Tampa Riverwalk is a beautifully maintained public space that offers a scenic and refreshing experience along the Hillsborough River. We found the area to be exceptionally clean and well-kept, making it a pleasant place for a leisurely walk, jog, or bike ride. The views are lovely, and the wide paths make it accessible and enjoyable for visitors of all ages. That said, there's definitely room for the Riverwalk to evolve into a more vibrant and happening destination. Adding more food vendors, casual eateries, or waterfront restaurants would bring much-needed energy and make it a go-to spot for locals and tourists alike. Introducing recreational activities like boat rentals, kayaking, or small cruises could turn it into a lively hub of day and night activity. Overall, while the Riverwalk offers a peaceful and scenic escape today, it has the potential to become a truly dynamic waterfront district with just a few thoughtful additions.

Located in Tampa, Florida, the J.C. Newman Cigar Company is a historic factory and museum that has been producing premium cigars since 1915. Founded by Julius Ceasar Newman, the company's small museum showcases the rich cigar-making history of the city. Visitors can explore original cigar machines from the early 1900s and even participate in a cigar rolling class to gain an appreciation for this art form.
The tour of the J.C. Newman Cigar Factory in Ybor City was absolutely incredible! Our timeline was short, but our tour guide, Craig, gave us a super-fast yet comprehensive tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable and truly went the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience! We got to witness everything, from the hand-rolling process to the original machines still in use today. It offers a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at how cigars are made. If you’re in Tampa, don’t miss this unique experience!

Would totally recommend coming here and getting the tour to learn the history of this town and how cigars are made. It was nice to hear some background store while enjoying the smell of rustic. Nicely decorated inside though the kitchen and food preparation area did seem pretty dirty, cramped and not to standard. The overall area and restrooms were pretty clean. It is a little bit secluded into a very quiet area and parking is very limited. Food was just ok and the drinks were ok too. Employees were nice but the energy inside was pretty dull. Not meant to spent a long time here

This was, by far, an absolutely awesome tour. We got to see the entire process for both machine made, and hand rolled cigars. You get to see where they store the cigars and where they make them. It’s so interesting to watch and you pretty much can walk around With reason and see the rollers up close and personal. And the best part was, we got to meet the owner, Eric Newman. When we were in the museum portion of the tour. He was very personable and friendly. And you can tell that he loves what he does. I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Tampa and Ybor City!

A Truly Unforgettable Experience – JC Newman Factory Tour From the moment we stepped into the historic JC Newman Cigar Factory, we knew we were in for something special—but the experience far exceeded our expectations. The blend of rich history, craftsmanship, and genuine passion that fills every corner of the building is simply unmatched. It’s more than a tour; it’s a journey through the legacy of America’s oldest family-owned premium cigar maker. What truly elevated the experience, though, was our extraordinary tour guide. Their depth of knowledge about the cigar industry was nothing short of remarkable. From the origins of tobacco farming to the intricate details of hand-rolling cigars, every explanation was filled with insight, enthusiasm, and personal passion. They didn’t just teach us about cigars—they brought the story of JC Newman and the entire industry to life. You could tell this wasn’t just a job for them—it was something they truly loved, and it made all the difference. The tour beautifully combines the old and the new, with original antique machinery still in operation alongside a modern commitment to tradition and quality. Seeing skilled artisans hand-roll cigars and learning about the company’s dedication to preserving this craft was a privilege. The museum exhibits, rolling rooms, and even the view from the tower offered layers of depth that made the whole experience rich and engaging. Whether you’re a cigar aficionado or just someone who appreciates history, craftsmanship, and great storytelling, the JC Newman Factory Tour is an absolute must. And if you’re lucky enough to have the same guide we did—you’re in for a truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

We’ve now been to the JC Newman factory three times, once for their new haunted house experience, and twice for the normal factory tour. The factory tour is a fascinating walk through the history and present not just of the factory, but a bit of Ybor and cigar culture as well. The staff leading the tour are excellent and knowledgeable and those going through their normal working day are very kind and show off great skill. Highly recommended. The haunted house experience was nicely integrated into the basement of the factory and featured some good frights for some of the more timid in our party. We met Mel in marketing there as well and had a great conversation about their future plans. I think she even talked my wife and I into booking a class here in the future!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Always the Best Ride on the Bay! I’ve been riding with Pirate Taxi Tampa as an annual pass member, and honestly, it never gets old. Every ride is fun, relaxing, and just a great way to take in the views—and that’s all thanks to the amazing crew, especially Trinity and Angelina. Trinity is a storyteller at heart. He always has something interesting to share—fun facts, local history, or just cool stories that make the ride so much more than just a trip across the water. It’s like getting a mini tour every time, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys connecting with people. Angelina is incredible too—super friendly and always making sure everyone on board feels safe and taken care of. She’s attentive without being overbearing, and her calm presence really rounds out the whole experience. Together, they make such a great team. Whether I’m commuting or just riding for fun, I know I’m in good hands with them. Thanks to Pirate Taxi Tampa for putting together such an awesome crew. Can’t wait for my next ride!

Experience the haunted, pirate water taxi tour and had so much fun! Our tour guide was amazing. Learned some fun facts about the area and had a great time with our friends. Highly recommend this for seasonal activity and love the pirate water taxi throughout the year - convenience and relaxation to get around the downtown area!

Had a great experience aboard the Pirate Water Taxi! I took the 45-minute island route loop and really enjoyed the views from the water. The captain was safe, attentive, and made the ride smooth and relaxing. My ticket was included as part of my stay at the JW Marriott, which made it even better. An easy, scenic way to explore Tampa from a different perspective—highly recommend!

Rode the island and river boats in the day and evening and had a great time of it! Got some fun info, kids loved all the animals we saw (got a glimpse of a dolphins), and the views were amazing. Plus just a fun way to get from the wharf to armature works and back. Would recommend this as a tourist to-do any day.

Great Explorations Children's Museum in St. Petersburg is a nonprofit museum that offers 18,000 sq. ft. of hands-on exhibits and workshops designed for kids. It is a top family attraction and learning center in the state, providing an inviting environment for children to engage with interactive displays and activities.
We love coming here for the permanent things to do like the surfboard climber, the treehouse slide, the put-on-the-weather-forecaster-jacket to be on TV, Firefighter complete with sliding pole, shopping experience, and more. The seasonal activity is a simulated ice rink with plastic floor and felt snowballs--a real Florida kids ice skating experience. The interactive coloring and science events are always fun. A separate area for younger ones allows them to explore fine motor skills like puzzles and gross motor equipment in their own space. Free parking with a circle drop-off and pick-up drive in a lot shared by another daytime venue and a restaurant. Free wheel chair van access spaces with long curb cuts. wheel chair access in the museum except for the surfboard climber, treehouse, and the step up to firetruck. The Creative Corner houses several Florida small animals like turtle, lizard, and snake. Wheel chair access all gender restroom with 5 ft x 5 ft area, 2 grab bars, and diaper changer.

What a great time my grandsons and I had at this adorable little museum today. The interactive exhibits were well appointed, neat and clean, and so interesting for preschoolers. Beyond that, the staff then provided brief shows….a dancing dragon and musical performances, bubbles…it was all so sweet. We took great photos and sent back to mom and dad, who were delighted. My only suggestion is that 10:30 am is a late time to start for this age group. Given most nap around noon or shortly thereafter, it would have been wonderful if we could have started the morning before 10.

The kids loved this museum. The Publix shopping pretend play area was a favorite. This museum allows children to be as creative as they want to be. The workers are keep an eye out while cleaning up behind the children as they play with everything and they do it with genuine pleasure. I would visit again and recommend to all parents or grandparents with young children.

We love this interactive museum! We recently won a year membership giveaway on Instagram and I am blown away by all the reciprocal benefits this membership has to offer! Bella was kind enough to give us a tour and show us around. We look forward to visiting often and taking advantage of our new membership 😊

I came here with my 4-year-old while visiting St. Pete. Feels like less of a museum and more like a large play area which is fine because that's exactly what we needed. My kid had a great time and especially loved shopping in the miniature Publix and the thing at the front where you use air pressure to launch a tennis ball. We came in the summer so even though it was a weekday it got pretty crowded which was a little overwhelming. I would definitely come back the next time we're in town.
Corinne — Google review
I think the idea is great. I loved the separate STEM areas and free parking. The price was reasonable as well. My dilemma is in the maintenance of the items, the cleanliness, and the overcrowding. I decided to go with my son and two others moms right when they opened on a weekday. We have toddlers all under 2. There were older kids in the toddler zones, mom’s not attending their kids and almost running over our small ones, some areas were filled with dirt/debris that my son kept trying to pick up, and broken equipment. If this place was better maintained and maybe has a children capacity/time slots, I would have paid the money for the annual membership despite living 40 min away. Unfortunately do to all the above, I will probably not be back.
Danaise F — Google review
Dirty. Lots of kids activities and interactions but it’s all so dirty. The museum was closed last week for maintenance but I went 4 days after it reopened and it was still so dirty. I only went into the fire department area (outside of the little kiddie zone) and the seats had tears in them and the equipment was extremely worn out and very dingy. The sandpit area for the little kids had a lot of hairballs and lint in it. The climbing toys have a dirty dark film over it. And all the interactive sensory toys nailed on the kiddie wall were broken. I’ll come back when my son is old enough to know better than to put the things in his mouth. The items can be cleaned of this dirt with a little hard wiping. The employees were kind. But when we walked in I saw 2 sitting at different areas just looking at the ground. I know it’s a boring job but what’s the point of them being in there with nothing to do? It was just weird looking.

Nestled in the heart of downtown, the St. Petersburg Museum of History is a treasure trove that chronicles the vibrant past of this charming city known as Sunshine City. For over a century, it has been dedicated to showcasing significant local stories, from the dawn of commercial aviation to Major League Baseball's spring training traditions. Visitors can marvel at an eclectic array of exhibits featuring everything from a two-headed calf and an ancient Egyptian mummy to a working replica of the Benoist XIV airboat.
Pretty neat little museum with small but valuable data and exhibits from st Pete construction and political history to ww2 and mlb history. It is very cheap and worth the visit. I would def recommend this place. Specially if you live in Florida.
Nelson R — Google review
We walked in early afternoon today as we have the NARM membership so in my mind, it would’ve been a free visit. The woman at the front desk was rude and condescending after I asked why this particular museum didn’t take it, “she said then everyone would just walk in for free”, yes that’s the point of having a reciprocal membership. Anyway, we paid the $15/person entrance fee, honestly it should’ve been $5/person. It took us less than one hr to browse the semi empty, cold museum. There is currently the largest baseball exhibit my husband liked, a lot of war photos and info, voting in St Pete women’s rights area and some local art. It is a decent museum to stop in if visiting the St Pete Pier and/or dining next door, Perry’s Porch…now that’s a 5⭐️ experience.
Melanie M — Google review
If you are hoping for a “history of Saint Petersburg, Florida” experience, you might be disappointed. This small museum, tucked away behind the massive Museum of Fine Arts at the pier, hosts mostly informative placards on the wall talking about various wars (Spanish American War, War in Afghanistan, Korean War), the women’s movement in St. Pete, and the history of art influence in St. Pete. It has very few actual historical artifacts (probably about a dozen total). The two coolest exhibits are the over 5,000 autographed baseballs on display and the 3,000 year old mummy. It took me just under an hour (at a slow pace) to see the whole thing and— for me— the mummy was the coolest thing in there. If you are bored and wanting to kill time (like I was) it could be worth the $15 admission. But this is not a “go out if you way” type museum like the Museum of Fine Arts is.
Hannah E — Google review
Don’t waste your time, very disappointing! The only really St Pete history was the Vinny. Way too much baseball memorabilia. I’m sure the city pays a pretty penny to keep that opened and employ their relatives.
Misty F — Google review
Cute little museum. Good way to spend an hour or so learning more about the area. It is near the shore side of the pier so not a long walk out to it, or you could ride the shuttle up to it. If driving you would have to find a lot or street spot & then walk out to it. Variety of exhibits on the pier/parks of the area, history of civil rights in the area, aviation history and a baseball collection. We found the history of the area and the changes over the years very interesting. We also found out about the augusta bricks we kept seeing around town. I did think that the $15 admission was a bit steep for all the bigger the museum was.

We were in town for a few days for our 50th wedding anniversary. We are museum people. The St. Petersburg Museum of History - "Sharing Stories of the Sunshine City for 102 Years"- is located at the base of the new pier, While not a large museum, it is worth spending about an hour to see a gallery of Old Florida history, a tribute to the American soldier, and Florida women pioneers. The museum also features Schrader's Little Cooperstown, made up of nearly 5,000 baseballs and certified by Guinness World Records as the largest collection of its kind. Othet significant objects are a replica of the world's first commercial air boat, “The Benoist,” which flew from St. Petersburg to Tampa in 1914 and a 3,000-year-old mummy. Be sure to look at the sculpture of the newspaper boy outside the entry. It commemorates a newspaper contest, "The Sunshine Offer," that promised to give away newspapers to anyone every day that the sun did not shine in the ‘Burg. In a 76-year period, only 296 papers were given away. Hence the name: "The Sunshine City." If you go: Hours are Monday - Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday 12-5 p.m. Tickets: $15 adult (18+), $12 senior (65+), $9 military and veteran, teachers and students, and children under 6 are free. Look for the $2.00 off coupon found in the Discover Downtown Guide found everywhere. Only one coupon was needed for two of us; we combined a senior discount with the coupon. While parking is available at the pier (the Dolphin Lot is the closest to the museum), both the FREE Looper Trolley and Central Avenue Trolley stop at the base of the pier. From there, it is a short walk to the museum. If you ride the free trolley, please be sure to trip your driver who is committed to getting you safely to and from your destination.

I recently read a book on the history of St Petersburg which referenced this Museum several times. So I was inspired to take a Saturday and visit this place. Very nice museum. I enjoyed the exhibits including the special exhibit they had called Alligators and Oddities that was very interesting and very bizarre. Everything about alligators you could ever want to know. They had a great autographed baseball collection. I am not a baseball fan but I certainly enjoyed looking at that. The best part was the replica airplane from the first commercial airline in St Petersburg. Overall the museum told the story of the story of St Petersburg quite well. There were quite a few bits of information not in the book. Well worth a rainy Saturday.

After completing our Segway Tour we visited this museum. I use to coach baseball and have been a fan all my life. Our tour guide said if you love baseball that we should go. She was right. There is several interesting history displays here but the baseball exhibit was by far the most interesting to me.

The St Pete Pier has so much to offer, for crowds of all ages, all throughout the day! First, you can really get your steps in here- the entirety of the Pier has to be at least 1 mile long. But they also have a tram you can take if you don’t or can’t do the walking. There’s a splash park for the kids and a playground, vendor booths with a fun and unique variety of knick knacks, and even an aquatic museum. Of course, there’s eats too for all the goodies. Perry’s Porch is a new edition at the start of the Pier- you need a reservation a few weeks in advance for that one. At the end of the pier Teak and Pier Teaki. Teak is a sit down restaurant on the second floor and Pier Teaki is the rooftop bar- that place is so cool and also serves food but it fills up real fast. It offers a stunning view of the St Pete skyline, especially at night. And in between there’s also a concessions. There’s tons of seating all around, and even a tiny beach right along the water. There is water so you don’t get dehydrated and even free sunscreen. They host many events & festivals in the area too and it’s a great place to hang out.

Soaking up the sunshine and waterfront vibes at the St. Pete Pier! ☀️ From watching the sailboats⛵️ on the bay to the skaters doing their thing, it's a beautiful spot to people-watch and just enjoy the day. St. Pete really knows how to do a waterfront area right. 🩵I can't get over the gorgeous views, the calm bay waters, and all the happy people walking by. The entire area is so well-designed for a day of fun and relaxation. St. Pete Pier is an absolute must-visit for everyone! It’s the perfect mix of relaxation and fun with a vibrant playground for the kids, peaceful Bay Area lounges where you can dip your feet and unwind, and a lively food deck offering plenty of great spots to grab a bite or enjoy a drink. The views from the main deck at the end of the pier are simply spectacular especially at sunset. We’ve visited many times with family and friends, and it’s always a great experience. There’s also a convenient trolley that runs up and down the pier for those who prefer not to walk. If you go on a Saturday morning, don’t miss the local market full of unique finds, fresh treats, and local crafts. St. Pete Pier truly has something for everyone

This is a beautiful place to take the family. There are lots of things to enjoy such as the splash and a playground. There's beach access and also a tram if you'd rather ride to the end instead of walking. There are quiet places to sit with chairs set up just so you can enjoy the view. I highly recommend visiting here if you're in St Petersburg.

The teake cafe has a great view, checkout the rainbow 🌈 we caught from the comfy corner - lots of wind. Makes me wish I brought my kitesurfing equipment- can see all the boats and waves. Such a cool spot. Trolley comes every 10-15 mins and it’ll take you from the parking lot to the pier. Fishers have a nice spot at the end too.

I also love visiting the Tampa bay watch center which houses a small aquarium. The splash pad is very spacious and nice. We also love the playground and all of its unique climbing structures and spaces. It’s perfect for kids of all ages and is split into two different sections. It is a very large playground as well. Ballast Point Park, located in Tampa, Florida, is a historic waterfront park offering stunning views of Downtown. It features a cafe, pier, picnic spots, and a playground. The park is popular for engagement photography sessions due to its panoramic views and picturesque backgrounds such as boats and paddle boarders. Visitors can stroll along the river walkway or enjoy seclusion in quiet areas with graffiti-covered cement slabs. The park's boardwalk enhances the beauty of the golden hour sunset over the water.
My grandkids love going to Ballast Point. They enjoy the playground, walking out onto the pier, and just being near the water. On occasion, we’ll get lucky and see the horses out at the stables across the street! They especially loved the splash pad, but it’s been closed since the hurricanes last year. We are really hoping it’ll be repaired soon! But, even without the splash pad, it really is a nice park for the little ones.

This is a beautiful and sort of hidden part towards the end of Bayshore drive. It’s such a lovely spot that’s much more quiet and slow compared to the ever busy Bayshore area. If you have a family, this can be a perfect spot to spend the better part of a day. It has everything you need- a walking path, a big playground, and a cafe. Oh, and bathrooms of course. There’s also a gorgeous view of the distant Tampa skyline overlooking the water. They have swinging benches where you can enjoy the view of the water and it’s so serene. Unfortunately, there is usually a pier & boardwalk you can walk out upon as well. But (assumingly) due to Hurricane Helene & Milton it is still closed down and under construction. That was definitely a bummer but will make the park that much better once it’s open again. Such a lovely little area that’s almost a hidden gem in Tampa!

What a great space. I recently visited Ballast park and loved the water splash pad they had. The park can be used for fishing from the pier, having an ice cream cone 🍦 or taking your little one(s) to safely run around. There are 2 pavilions (that I could see) that you may rent for birthday parties or events. The main boardwalk pictured on the website is closed, they may be renovating but once it opens back up I can see my self hanging out at the end and enjoying the fresh breeze of Tampa’s Bay!
Porsha C — Google review
Ballast Point is one of my favorite spots in Tampa! The views of the bay are absolutely gorgeous — especially at sunrise or sunset — and there’s always a calm, peaceful vibe. The pier is perfect for fishing, taking photos, or just enjoying the ocean breeze. The park is clean, family-friendly, and well maintained with picnic areas, a splash pad for kids, and plenty of shaded spots to relax. It’s great for walking, jogging, or just spending quality time outdoors. The playground is awesome for little ones, and the nearby café makes it easy to grab a snack or coffee while taking in the scenery. Whether you’re a local or visiting Tampa, Ballast Point is a must-visit. It’s the perfect blend of nature, relaxation, and that classic Florida waterfront charm. 🌅🌴💙

Nestled just a short drive from St. Petersburg, the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is a hidden gem for car enthusiasts and history buffs alike. This expansive museum boasts an impressive collection of around 70 vintage vehicles, primarily focusing on the creative engineering of cars from the 1920s to the 1930s.
What a great display of automotive history. ANTHONY and JOHN answered all my questions and gave me lots of info on the cars and the history. They show many cars before the time of Henry Ford. The video showed one of the vintage out on the road for a more dynamic view of the auto. the owner's wife SUSAN is also a wealth of knowledge. They even have a red MG just like the one my grandma drove me in as a child through East St. Louis IL when the car was new, not a vintage show piece. By the way, the MG is for sale. The library area offers many books and a sitting area. Printed info sheet in four languages. Great collection of cars that you can see close up. The tiny gift shop offers apparel, a host of vintage car postcards, and car pens that are apparently selling like hotcakes. Accessible venue with accessible restroom with grab bars. Accessible wheel chair parking with van access in free private lot.

Such an incredible collection!! Both Susan and Wayne were so kind to us! We had such a wonderful experience. So many unique and rare models! It was incredible to hear that all vehicles are operational. So many museums have cars that aren’t maintained or don’t run. It was so amazing. 10/10 recommend! I brought my dad, a car maniac and he couldn’t stop talking about it!!

I don’t know a carburetor from a carb, and I once called a clutch “that pedal thing,” but this place? Totally blew me away. 🚗💨 The Tampa Automobile Museum is basically a love letter to cars — but the kind written by a genius family with a ridiculous collection of rare, one-of-a-kind classics that somehow all belong to them. Some of these beauties are the only ones left in existence! It’s like walking through a museum and stumbling into a secret garage full of time-traveling robots. Even if you don’t speak engine, you’ll still fall in love with the design, history, and pure cool factor of these mechanical masterpieces. Honestly, I came for the air-conditioning and left low-key obsessed. 🔧❤️ Highly recommend. Bonus points if you can name more than three car parts. (I cannot.)

What a pleasant experience. Not your average Automobile Museum. I saw cars I have never ever seen before. This private collection can make Jay Leno jealous! Every single car is registered to drive and gets taken out for a drive once a year. The restoration of the cars are top notch. Totally fell in love with the interiors. The fabrics, the colors, the dash boards. We loved it. Thank you very much to Wayne, for sharing your knowledge on this World Class collection.

This was such an amazing experience! My husband and I went to see the One Piece symphony. The energy was unmatched. Not only is it a beautiful place, but the staff was just as excited as the fans were. Everyone was kind and loved all the cosplay. People were hyped, cheering, and the symphony itself was unforgettable. I hope they do it again!

Went for the Van Gogh/Monet experience. It was a nice experience but not something I'd rush out to see. The set up is nice, it's a little slow, as there is a lot of reading involved for their presentation. The room they have you sit in was okay. A bit drawn out. The 3D experience at the end is about 5 minutes or so and that was the best part of it. If you're a big fan, go. If not so much, it's something you could skip.

Went to the Van Gogh / Monet immersive experience. Really beautiful and super neat to get the view from the stage, almost dizzying. Everyone that works there was super friendly and helpful.

Me and my husband went there to watch “Dracula - A Comedy of Horror” and we were very pleased with everything. I read someone saying that in the Jaeb Theater there is no bad seating - they are definitely on point. You can pick any seat and you will be able to enjoy the play. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is great. The play was really good too. Very funny, but very suggestive, so I would not take kids with me. Awesome experience 👏👏 can’t wait to see more plays there.

We'll, I WENT TO distant worlds music from final fantasy concert with my son for his birthday. He’s 38 and I'm 72 and we both had a grand time. Everyone there was into it, screaming and yelling their heads off and while I couldn't match their enthusiasm outwardly, I was grinning from ear to ear and my heart was leaping for joy. I had a great time doesn’t adequately describe the experience! Wow! Wonderful!

Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park is a 25-acre green oasis located on the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa, offering a variety of activities for visitors. The park features a boat house, expansive lawn, splash pad, and designated areas for dogs to play. It's an ideal spot for unwinding or capturing Instagram-worthy moments with its numerous pieces of public art including sculptures, mosaics, and murals.
We discovered this park while looking for a place to play tennis. The courts are well maintained, with shade and water fountains, we really enjoyed playing there. The park itself is quite big, there are soccer and basketball fields, also a playground with a splash pad, and many beautiful spots for sitting. Paring is free.

We loved the riverfront park, a lot to do in the area ( basketball, tennis, pickleball, running, exercising equipment) we loved the splash pad and the park, after playing about we walked the riverside and it was very peaceful and calming. We watched a few boats pass us by very friendly folks aboard, we all loved seeing all the art work. Beautiful environment !! We will be returning soon!!!

beautiful, clean, and peaceful place to spend time with family. There are no slides, but kids absolutely love the splash pad with fountains and the big tipping bucket that pours water over them — so much fun! The whole area feels fresh and safe, with lots of open space to run and play. The view of the river and the city skyline across the water is simply stunning, especially at sunset. One of the most unique and cool things is watching the rowing teams train in their long boats on the river — it’s really impressive! There are also picnic tables, shaded areas, and plenty of grass to relax. Everything is well maintained, and the vibe is friendly and chill. Great spot for a family outing or just a quiet walk by the river. Highly recommend!

I take my pup to Julian B Lane dog park several times a week. It's typically very clean. There are some visitors who are on their phones and don't pick up their dog's waste, but you will always have that, I guess. This place is especially nice in hot weather because the dogs can cool off in the sprinklers. Love this park.

Always looking for fun things to do with the grands. We have been to many similar "adventure parks" with the boys but this one is definitely our favorite!!! It's very clean and well run. Each area had appropriate staff manning the station to ensure the kiddos were safe, included and having fun. My grandboys had a wonderful time. This was not our first visit here and it will NOT be our last. Thanks for a great time Sky Zone!

Booked a Mega VIP package for my daughters 7th birthday. She had a blast with her friends, but the event was more than stressful for me due to lack of organization, communication, and professionalism. If I'm spending over $400 for a couple hours I have higher expectations for the staff. After waiting for our party host to come back after bringing in the food, some of my parents got up to help serve the kids. It was very embarrassing. I also had to leave the room several times to get extra water from the staff behind the register area because our host was not in our room. It was by far not relaxing. At the end of the party I was presented with a bill and was told I had a balance due only to find out that they added not 1, but 2 strangers to my party! Also, our package read that 10 jumpers are included in the initial price. And the website clearly states "any guest that will be joining the guest of honor and participating in the attraction" is who should be included as a jumper. This implies that the "guest of honor" gets to choose 10 friends. Nope, not the case. I had to pay extra. Very disappointed with the party overall and do not recommend.

We have been to this location multiple since moving to Florida. It is always clean and well maintained. Jill and her staff are always helpful and attentive to their customers needs. The staff doesn't sit around. They are up moving, making sure food is ready quickly, parties are set, and guests are be safe while having fun. I highly recommend coming here. We did get a membership, because the price point was worth it, if you can make it here at least twice a month.

Poor management is the issue! We booked a birthday party package. The young lady that was suppose to be in the party room had to run down and make our pizza. Which we got 30 minutes before our time in room was up. That is not enough time to eat pizza, sing happy birthday, eat cake and open gifts. Her absence left parents to serve their children and self. We ran down to get water and drinks a few times as they were empty. This young lady done her best to accommodate us and make up for poor management. These kids working there are miserable and their face shows it. One girl worked front registration, snack bar, and running to party rooms. Each employee should have one station they work so other stations are not left without staff. The manager we spoke was just clueless.

The boat is spacious enough to accommodate large groups for special occasions like birthdays or family outings.
Awesome experience of boating in the Tampa. Different experience than the usual time spend at beach. And if you are lucky then you can find Dolphins and Manatees! Great for family time and enjoy with friends! There is cooler in the boat, so you can take your drinks. However food is not allowed. It was different experience to roam around the Tampa and learn information about the historic aspect of Tampa from the boat captain. The captain was awesome to provide information about the apartments and the buildings on the shore. It was awesome to see the large ship and motor boats passing by.

We had such a fantastic evening with Tampa Bay Fun Boat for our recent realtor networking event! The crew was absolutely wonderful — especially Captain Darrell. They had coolers, ice, and water ready for us, played excellent music, and set off right on time. We cruised into the sunset with a perfect breeze and then toured downtown to admire the beautiful Tampa skyline. Our group of 30 had plenty of space to walk around, mingle, and enjoy the evening, and the bimini top provided welcome shade while the sun was still out. It was the perfect setup for our out-of-town guests to experience Tampa from the water. Thank you so much to the Tampa Bay Fun Boat team for helping us create such a successful and memorable event. We’ll definitely be booking with you again for future outings!

This was a great boat tour for a great price. The boat was smaller so there was a more intimate feel. We saw dolphins and a beautiful sunset. Captain Lee and Captain Darrel were funny, knowledgeable, and gave an insider view of the Tampa area. We would 100% come back and do this tour again.

Can’t say enough good things about this tour! This past week we had a large group of friends and family in town and the sunset cruise was perfect for our first night out. Captain Lee and first mate Aaron were filled with fun facts and entertainment that our out of towners loved. We had music, drinks, the best company, and even a surprise appearance from a few dolphins. It was such a great way to see the downtown area that we call home and catch an amazing sunset. It was not our first time out with this tour and it definitely won’t be our last!

I really enjoy belly dancing classes with Sasha. She takes her time to help me learn the moves correctly and as a result, I have more coordination, greater muscle strength, and better balance. This class is just what I needed to help me obtain my fitness goals. Additionally, I love the energy in the room and the energy Sasha brings and have made new friends!

This a fun center with loads of classes that are a great way for people to meet others in their community, especially if you’re older like me so you don’t get out much. I’ve taken some classes and met some friends that I still keep up with. My niece has been a member of the youth summer program they have and each time we speak she’s telling me something new or fun they did. My only issue is with some of the instructors they hire. My niece was in the Wizard of Oz production and we overheard an instructor saying intolerant things about one of the children who donned rainbow gear. I was told by my niece that the instructor was Miss Jordan and the student she was talking about goes by they/them. Regardless of what one believes, spaces like this are meant to be safe for children to express and not be talked down by those teaching them.

Marketplace on the second Saturday of every month; amazing. Great vendors, delicious food, pet friendly and the best opportunity to support small businesses!! Mark your calendars because this cultural center in Carrollwood is doing a great job giving all these vendors the opportunity to show their products to this community. They have plants, garden ornaments, pet food and products, homemade yuminess like chocolate, teas, salsa, fruits n veggies, Mexican awesomeness, food trucks, homemade soaps, honey, organic stuff, Jewelry, cutting boards, and other stuff you will definitely find useful for you or your loved ones. Don't stay home, join everyone at the cultural center in Carrollwood next time they have the fresh Marketplace!!! March 2025 I love shopping from vendors who make their own products. From detergent sheets (I'm changing from my current one), to lip moisturizers and creams like this lady Lorena; she makes a lip balm and it is really great!! They sell home decor, recycled jewelry, pet products, clothes, even food, coffee and have a mini market. I'm always happy to see a lot of people attending and supporting these small businesses. June 2025: Davy Daniels really rocked the stage today at the cultural center's fresh market place. We loved it today, it was packed with great food vendors. Enjoyed fresh cold coconut water and lemonade with ginger and mint, shopped for fresh groceries and my usual coffee cup. We love seeing the doggies all over the place 😍 we can't get enough of the fresh market at the Carrollwood cultural center.

I went to see a concert featuring a local fusion band (Hot Tonic Orchestra). The cultural center is a small venue (212 capacity) but very nice. With only a few seats but a large stage, you really feel close to the performance. The center staff were friendly and efficient. There is a small concession stand and they offered a cash bar with beer and wine. From the second row I could almost touch the musicians. The sound system was good and projected the most subtle sounds. Overall it was a good experience that I would happily repeat.

Neat park with a great paved path for biking. Moderate hills make it more of a challenge then the typical park in Tampa Bay. It was pretty busy but the trail is plenty wide enough for everyone to enjoy and pass comfortably. Even saw some manatees. I recently had an absolutely fantastic experience with Riverwalk Boating Company, and I couldn't wait to share my positive review! I had accidentally booked my rental on the wrong date through Groupon, but Jason went above and beyond to fix the issue swiftly and with such kindness. His customer service truly set the tone for the entire experience. Once we arrived at Riverwalk Boating Company, we were greeted by a team of friendly and professional employees who made the rental process smooth and effortless. They provided clear instructions on operating the boats and ensured we felt comfortable before setting off on our adventure. My family and I have had the pleasure of renting both the pink retro boat and the speed boat, and each one offered a unique experience. Whether we were leisurely cruising along the river or picking up the pace for a bit of excitement, every moment was filled with excitement! The convenience of renting these little boats allowed us to explore the river at our own pace, soaking in the scenic views and enjoying each other's company without any rush. It's truly a fantastic way to spend time outdoors and create unforgettable memories with loved ones. Overall, I can't recommend Riverwalk Boating Company enough. This is at the St. Pete Pier. There's a lot of activities to explore. Shopping, restaurants, the beach, playgrounds, art and entertainment. We went to attend a live viewing of the Tampa Bay Ray's playoff game.

The Courtney Campbell Trail is a stunning 9.5-mile paved pathway that caters to walkers, cyclists, and inline skaters, linking Tampa and Clearwater. It provides breathtaking panoramic vistas of Upper Tampa Bay as it stretches across the Courtney Campbell Causeway from Tampa's Veterans Expressway to Clearwater's Bayshore Boulevard. Approximately 5.5 miles of the trail are situated within Tampa and Hillsborough County, featuring a 45-foot bridge and connections to various recreational trails in the city.
Wide path with shaded area too and having the water close by makes this trail perfect!
Maripaz V — Google review
This trail offers breathtaking views and a great experience for runners, walkers, and bikers. The wide, well-maintained path runs along the shoreline and across a bridge, providing stunning ocean views and a sense of peace. Despite being adjacent to a highway, the trail feels tranquil, with the ocean's presence a constant source of calm. The sunset ride is particularly magical, with the sky transforming into a kaleidoscope of pinks and oranges as you ride from one end of the causeway to the other. The trail is suitable for various activities, including walking, running, and biking, with some shaded areas and a scenic oceanfront setting. Just a heads up: be mindful of sand on the path, especially if you're on a bike. Overall, this trail is a perfect spot to enjoy the sun, exercise, and take in the great views.
Nicola M — Google review
Great place to enjoy the sun and exercise, whether you want to walk, run, ride your bike or any other option this is the place, on top you'll have Great views
Marco O — Google review
Great path for long bike rides with great scenery. Paved with good (free) access at several associated parks. Close to the road so it is really noisy and often there are folks playing music very loudly...it's not a place for serenity. But it is great for exercise and sun!
Seth G — Google review
Used my Strava app and this was a recommended trail then i searched through Google and reviews were good. Awesome views and very peaceful run on the shoreline and across the bridge. Nice and clean and felt safe with so many others our running, walking, biking etc....I will do this trail again....My route was total of 8 miles round trip down across the big bridge and back.
Macey B — Google review
Pure magic. A sunset ride from one end of the causeway all the way to the other. The colors in the background changed over the course of the entire trip, displaying a backdrop of gorgeous pinks and oranges against the constant, great expanse of the ocean. 120mm cloudwheels were perfect for the terrain, (if ya know, ya know) but watch out for sand! I mean, we are at the beach ⛱️

Casino
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa is a sprawling 90,000-square-foot music-themed resort and casino with two buildings located near the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre. The hotel boasts elegant guest rooms and suites equipped with luxurious amenities such as whirlpool tubs, Keurig coffee machines, Bose speaker systems, and flat-screen televisions.
I usually enjoy the Hard Rock, but after 2:30 a.m. the service really goes downhill. The bars on the casino floor get slow, and drink service while playing is almost non-existent. It feels like staff disappear late at night, and you can wait forever for a cocktail or even basic service. For a place that advertises being open 24/7, the energy and hospitality past 2:30 a.m. just don’t match the hype. The casino itself is beautiful, with plenty of games, but if you’re looking to enjoy drinks and decent service, go earlier in the night. Otherwise, be prepared for long waits and lackluster attention once the late shift kicks in.
Ash A — Google review
We stayed for 3 comp nights. Room was nice. Restaurants were excellent. Gambling was fun as usual…. the casino is huge. Had a great time. Only one negative. When I arrived there, I was supposed to have freeplay but it wasn’t available. I had to go stand in a long line at the players club to find out why. They said my account was locked for letting “family members” use my freeplay which wasn’t true at all. They said they would unlock it “this time”. This is very insulting. My wife has nearly 100K tier credits and I have over 100K tier credits… We are regulars and spend a lot of money at this place and the accusation is false. No one has ever used my freeplay and I don’t come there to just use freeplay and leave. You may want to review people’s accounts before locking them out.

Great and large rooms. Shower big enough for 2 people with 2 shower heads and a bench. No tub. The bathroom has a separate space for the toilet with a shielded slided door for privacy. Only complaint was the coffee situation- no real creamer- only powdered and we didn't get it refilled when we asked. We also asked for towels and a room cleaning and never got it. The upper casino is extremely tight and the bottom one was tight but not as bad as the non-smoking section. Park in the Lucky parking lot if staying with lots of luggage. You'll be closer to the main entrance. You'll need to scan your room key to even get the room tower elevators. If you sign up for Unity- you get 50% off the buffet for one person. Buffet was decent. The Cafe was actually better. If you're signature status with Royal Caribbean you will be comped 3 nights and $300 room credit. Kids are allowed with adults but not on the casino floor (only along the pathways). Very fun to see history lining the hallways. We'll be back!
Bree K — Google review
While visiting my old hometown, I had to go visit the Hardrock. Having also lived in Vegas, my grading scale for casinos is close to that of pizza places. Definitely a tougher scale. When you enter this place, it's very nice. Walking around the amount of memorabilia is astounding. From Elvis suits to KISS costumes. Plenty of slots, table games and a nice sportsbook. You can wager on NFL too. Which is always a plus. Overall a solid casino. Nothing like what I went to in Vegas but few are. Definitely worth your time to visit and look around.
Beach F — Google review
My main gripe here is having to breathe cannabis while playing the slots. The skunk smell was awful. I was concerned I would have an allergic reaction. I have a severe allergy to cannabis. Yes I moved and gave up a winning machine so I wouldn’t end up in the hospital. I mentioned it to a worker and she looked uncomfortable and shrugged. This happened on a weekend and was the first time I’ve been exposed to someone getting high right next to me. First off I don’t care if you smoke weed privately, but don’t expose anyone to your need to get high to escape life weed with zero regard to MY health and others. As for the rooms I stayed with a friend and I wasn’t impressed. It’s easy to dump a grand in the slot machines without a payoff. I’ve been going to this casino for years and have never received any free comp rooms at the hotel, just their sister hotels. After staying here with my friend Ive realized I’m not missing anything. The restaurants aren’t bad and the sweet dessert shop is delicious. Hotel room was sub par and the bed was hard. I was glad to leave after 2 sleepless nights on their mattress!
Tammy L — Google review
The location is great but the people that is working for this company it’s not great. Also, if a casino is 24 hours in your pain for everything you shouldn’t have people tell you that you gotta leave a spot when you’re playing because they wanna leave I don’t see that Correct when you are paying to have a hotel and casino this is not a basic resort. This is a casino where we wanna have fun and enjoy our moment and more when we’re traveling if I could write this experience, a zero I would the girl that came out to us was like 00 you guys are leaving because we’re close in this area that was unappropriate. I never miss someone with a place that tells me that a casino is closed. I thought in my life that a casino was open I understand clubs or any restaurants for casino!! Tampa is one of the location that has employees that are not professional in mature enough to understand that people are traveling and they wanna have fun at a certain time
Karina E — Google review
Not accommodating at all. I flew in from New York for an offer, but when I checked in at 4:30 p.m., my room still wasn’t ready. About 10 minutes after leaving, I got a call saying I could either wait or pay for an upgrade to get a room immediately. I did not pay. The room itself had a great shower, but the bed was hard and the pillows felt like plastic — definitely not comfortable for sleeping. I spent three days at the casino, but most of the time my players card wouldn’t work in the machines. I only found out on the last night that buying drinks also earns Unity points — wish I’d known that earlier. When I asked for a late checkout, they wanted $50 per hour, so I just packed up and left early giving my money elsewhere. Overall, the experience felt like poor service and a money grab. All I wanted was a rock star experience and all I got was a Hard Rock lesson. This review is based my experience and not gambling.

Our stay at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was fantastic! The entire property is vibrant, clean, and full of energy. The casino floor has a huge selection of games, and the atmosphere is exciting without being overwhelming. The staff were friendly and professional, making sure we felt welcomed from check-in to check-out. Rooms were modern, comfortable, and had that cool Hard Rock flair with music memorabilia everywhere. Dining options were excellent, and the live entertainment made the experience even more memorable. Can’t wait to come back!

This team always does an amazing job with my 4-H group. This has been our second year going to this escape room as a team building activity and the kids absolutely love it! The staff and Mrs. Cindi are all so polite and welcoming. If you are questioning if it would be a good evening out, my group of teenagers approve of the escape room and have so much fun.

We had a great time. We went with 4 in our group. 2 of us had done one room before and 2 had never done a room. It was very challenging, but we escaped the Jungle with 1 minute 36 seconds left.Elisa was excellent and made our game even more fun. We will definitely be back. 6/9/2024 We had an excellent time. We have now completed all the rooms at the Punta Gorda location. Tonight we did "The Heist at the Grand Hotel". I believe this is my favorite room so far at this location. It was challenging, but not extremely difficult which gave us time to really enjoy the story behind the puzzle. The staff at Escape Room Unlocked, Punta Gorda, Florida are always excellent. The Game Masters are there if you need them, but not in your face. The rooms are always clean, well stocked with decor, and the decorations are excellent. These rooms are well thought out. We have done one room at their North Port location, and that was also a lot of fun. We will be back when they change rooms. Thank you all for the fun.

Truly a fun and enjoyable experience for our family. We split into two groups and competed for best time doing two rooms of equal difficulty level. Some of us had done escape rooms before and others It was the first time. Ages ranged from 7 to senior citizen, 11 of us in total. A great time was had by all! Staff was friendly, helpful and supportive during our adventure. Both escape rooms were creative and challenging. Looking forward to returning for another round of friendly competition. Highly recommend!!

This was a great escape room! We have done several (20+), and this was one of the better companies that we have played with. The clues are just challenging enough, everything goes smoothly together, and nothing seems disjointed. We completed the Heist and it was a good room, great puzzles, and really fun! Highly recommend!

Painting with a Twist is a chain of art studios that offers painting classes for both groups and individuals. The classes are easy to follow, making it accessible to everyone, regardless of their artistic ability. The instructors are fantastic and eager to help participants succeed and enjoy the experience. They create a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere where everyone can feel proud of their accomplishments. The studio provides an excellent opportunity to have fun while exploring one's creativity through painting.
We went to a class at this location on the last night of our vacation to the west coast and I'm glad we did. We drove home and were able to take our paintings with us back to Texas. It was nice to choose a location for our beach vacation that offered more beach theming compared to where we are in Texas. Our instructor, Annette, was fun and engaging. We swapped family stories which made the experience very personal. I would highly recommend this as a place to have a family event while on vacation.

We would like to give a special shout out to Annette. She was the main artist working for the mommy and me class at 10:30 in the morning on mother's Day. We want to give her a special shout out for maintaining and being calm cool and collected, with all the hassles of that morning's class. From late arrivals to kids running around in the back room getting into things barefoot because their parents were not watching them. God for the parents actually enjoyed the mommy and me part. But you did an amazing job being a babysitter / teaching artist. You did an amazing job accommodating my husband. And did an amazing job integrating him into the mommy and me class. She did such an amazing job we are now going on to book a Father's Day one. We love their turtles and we loved how they looked at the end as well as your help in between everything. You did an amazing job teaching us not only how to color combo colors as well as outlining shadowing and everything that comes in between with painting. Thank you and we look forward to our Father's Day event.

We enjoyed my daughter's bridal celebration this past weekend at Painting With A Twist! Throughout the planning, Annette was flexible and accommodating, and was responsive to calls and emails. She was the artist for our event, giving clear instruction, checking on everyone and offering extra help if needed, and making a fun time for all! She really helped to make the party run smoothly. I definitely recommend this paint studio and hope to visit again.

Playgrounds of Tampa is a haven for kids, offering 7,500 square feet of bounce houses and play areas in a safe and enjoyable environment. It's an ideal spot for hosting children's birthday parties with spacious party rooms and helpful hosts. The indoor bounce house keeps kids entertained while parents can relax at the snack bar or coffee shop. With separate areas for toddlers and older kids, it's perfect for families with children of different ages.
We had my youngest daughters birthday party here and everything was amazing! Our party hosts were the best (shout out to Tyson, Rylan, & Bronson!) and the kids loved meeting Bluey! Everything was clean and in working order. They set everything up AND broke it down! They even helped take out the gifts to our cars. The owner took the time to chat with us for a long time. From booking to end of the party, everyone we came in contact with were knowledgeable, kind, and made sure we didn't have any questions. The new remodel has done wonders and it's become our new weekend hangout for my very rambunctious 11, 10 & 7 yr old!

Playgrounds has changed quite a bit since I was there last; but my grandkids love the new setup, so that’s all that matters to me. They have three bounce houses, a toddler area, a little arcade, and a massive obstacle course. Playtime is two hours; and by the time we got to the two hour mark, my grandkids were wiped out and ready to go. So, plenty of time for the kiddos to burn off some energy. I really like that they only charge $2 for parents and caregivers, and they discount the rate for siblings. I took my granddaughter to a place like Playgrounds in Orlando, and I spent the exact same for the two of us as I did for the three of us at Playgrounds. Good fun at a great price; I’m all for it!

It’s a nice, clean well kept indoor playground for kids of a young age. My son enjoys the jumpy houses, climbing areas, arcade games and toddler play area. The staff is friendly and the coffee drinks are tasty. It’s reasonably priced and they have deals on bulk play packages. It’s really nice to spend long periods of time here in the hot summer and when it’s rainy out. An indoor playground area in Florida is really a luxury!

I love this place for birthday parties. I have 3 kids 8yr, 4yr and 10 months, I’ve had 4 parties here (2 before covid and the renovations and 2 more recently). I chose to come back each time because of the cost, private room and variety of entertainment. They have bounce houses, jungle gym playground area with tot station and a small arcade. There is also a small cafe for adults. I like to decorate with a birthday banner and balloons etc and this place gives me the space and time to do so. (I try to select the first party of the day so I can come 15-30 min early to set up. My last party was last week and our attendant Ben was great, he helped serve food and cut the cake and was overall helpful and let me lead how I wanted it to flow. I always recommend checking out any potential party place in person first so you have more accurate expectations. I have noticed locally party packages everywhere are more expensive and are slowly becoming unaffordable, but they are on par with local competitors.

One of our favorite playgrounds in the Tampa Bay Area! We live in St. Pete, but we make the trip out here regularly because it’s worth it. The playground is affordable, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed with separate areas for toddlers and older kids. There’s a great variety of activities to keep kids entertained for hours. Definitely a go-to spot!

10/10 recommend your child’s birthday here ! We had a 3 year old boys birthday and my top favorite things were how easy and efficient set up / clean up was (thanks to lev, Regan & Tyson) the sweetest and most helpful party helper host. Secondly the separated areas for toddlers vs bigger kids! This was very helpful in inviting big or little brothers and sisters to also join in on the fun. Lastly the bounce house jungle gym and video games was a blast everyone even parents had fun in here ! Best Birthday Ever !
Angielique R — Google review
I was really disappointed with our experience at Playgrounds. They advertise an area specifically for toddlers under 3, but it was completely overrun by bigger kids. This was our first visit, which I even mentioned to the woman at the front desk, so I was surprised when the gentleman working there (who seemed like an owner or manager) admitted that they are supposed to have someone monitoring the area but did not that day. We stayed for about 45 minutes and only really got to play with a plastic slide and foam blocks, which are things we already have at home. When my daughter finally tried the toddler climbing area, she was knocked over by a child who was clearly over 3, probably around 5, who was playing too rough, which really scared her. For the $17 admission, I expected a safer and better-monitored space. I also would have expected the gentleman working to at least offer a refund or another play session to encourage us to return, but he didn’t seem concerned at all. His exact words were, “Kids can’t read the sign so it’s hard to monitor.” That attitude about safety makes it an easy decision not to come back.

Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park is a large indoor facility that offers various activities like trampolining, fitness classes, dodgeball, and parties. It provides parents with an opportunity to take a break from their children while still being present. The food preparation area allows parents to relax and enjoy beverages, even alcoholic ones, as their kids freely run around and make noise without facing any restrictions. It is highly recommended to consider getting a membership for regular visits.
When we went there, it was so empty. We were unsure if this was the right place. Anyways, it was so fun. We did so many activities. Rock-climbing and Sky liner were some of my favorites. I love how challenging rock-climbing was and the sudden drop that in Sky liner. This is a must go place!! Despite the fun, the staff look so miserable. It's like someone passed away! When I asked a worker if I could go rock climbing (you need permission to go on higher activities), she looked as if it was a burden. Nice place.

Urban air has always been a great place for kids and adults! It was a spur of the moment decision for me and my friends but it was definitely not a regrettable experience. There was a short wait maybe up to 10 minutes but just because of all the kids to get properly noted and wrist bands etc, for the most part it was pretty quick to get in. Most of the staff was very helpful, only a couple of people were rude, but helping kids can be taxing so I'm not holding it against them. Unfortunately my kids woke up with pink eye the next morning, considering the abundance of kids I won't hold it completely against them. So please have your kids wash before during and after they play. All I can ask is for more sanitation and hand sanitizer for the kids and play areas. Plenty of parking and access to the mall was simple and convenient. Thank you urban air for a quality experience.
Nellie P — Google review
The kids love coming here to jump around, play with other kids, and just go crazy within barriers. No need to buy tickets ahead, but they are timed sessions. If you live close and intended on going a couple of times a month, I definitely recommend the monthly pass because individual sessions can add up quickly.

Urban Air is an absolute lifesaver for parents with toddlers! We brought our little one here and were so impressed with how much there is for young kids to enjoy. There’s a special area just for toddlers, which made it easy for them to safely explore and play under adult supervision. Our toddler had a blast and wore themselves out in less than an hour—definitely naptime-approved! One huge tip: HIGHLY recommend going online ahead of time to sign the waiver. The cashier lines can get really long, so save yourself the wait and do it before you go. Overall, a fantastic experience for families with young children. We’ll definitely be back!

The kids had a blast. We bought the ultimate pass and stayed over 4 hours. We could have stayed longer ,we just got tired. Lol. I am thinking of buying yearly passes great way to get the kids out of the house and get so much needed exercise. Access to the mall if you have some shopping to do. I would suggest eating before you go. Although the prices on the food isn't horrible between the food and tickets it was 150.00. it could be worse. If you go often it could definitely take a toll on your wallet. I would definitely recommend.

Urban Air Lakeland is a fun and energetic space for kids—I appreciated the clean facility and the variety of activities. My child had a great time! However, the only disappointing part of our visit was the front desk experience. I asked about a membership and was told it would take 30–45 minutes to complete online, so I was advised to just purchase a one-day pass. Later, I found out the process actually takes less than 5 minutes—especially since I had already completed the waiver and was logged in. This inaccurate information cost me the opportunity to save money, join my child in play, and start what could have been multiple visits under a membership. It was also especially meaningful for me as it happened on Mother’s Day I hope staff are better informed in the future, because the park truly is a great place for families.

We had a great time attempting to be artists… LOL… Our instructor Abigail was very friendly, clear giving instructions and patient with all of us. I wished the class was longer because painting a full canvas is 2 hours was not enough time for me and it felt a little rushed. Regardless, we made it and we managed to get a pieces of art! 😊… it was very fun and music was great! I highly recommend this location and Abigail!

Came here recently for a private team-building event for work and we had a blast! 2 hours to walk through our chosen painting and come out with a unique canvas piece and some good bonding time. Our instructor Abigail was awesome- very high energy and kind and easy to follow along with. I’ve taken many painting classes before this and already knew what I was doing so I didn’t need as much help, but it was new for most of my coworkers so Abigail was super amazing assisting them when needed or giving them guidance on what to do next. We chose “Broccoli” the cat, and you have the option to follow along with the instructor and paint your canvas exactly like the demo or go your own route- I chose to make mine look like my own sweet kitty so it’s fun to have some creative freedom if you so choose. They host a lot of different events here, even a “paint your pet” night. After you come and paint something, if you want something fixed, adjusted or help with it you can come in any saturday morning and the artists will help you adjust your painting for free! Normally, this is a paint & sip place as well so you can bring a bottle of wine or your drink (alcoholic or NA) of choice to sip while you paint which is fun too. Definitely recommend this for a date night, girls night, coming with family or even to one of the events by yourself, it’s a great way to wind down and let your inner creative come out!

My friend and I had a really good time with Abigail! She was fun and energetic. Her painting skills are outstanding. I will definitely be back 👍🏾 Abigail you Rock 💥 oh yeah I really enjoyed the music selection!

Painting with a purpose tonight for Polk County bully project was amazing!! The two gals that ran the class were so sweet. (And funny) I wish I could remember their names to give a shout out. My daughter came with so we did two canvases and they are already hung in the house. Thank you again for a great evening.

It was our first time at Painting with a Twist and my children (10 and 7) loved it! Abigail and Carrie were excellent! Instructions were easy to follow and they encouraged the kiddos to “make it their own” if they wanted to change up colors or add extra details. We will definitely be back in the future!

Perry Harvey Sr. Park is a vibrant and diverse destination that offers something for everyone. The park hosts the Winter Village, featuring activities like ice skating, live entertainment, a holiday market, and delicious food options. It also showcases the rich history and contributions of the African American community through various installations such as Gateway Sculptures, Leaders Row, History Walk life tiles, and Timeline Pavers.
Perry Harvey Sr. State Park: A Tribute to Musical Heritage During our recent visit to Tampa, my wife and I had the pleasure of exploring the Perry Harvey Sr. State Park, and it was truly an enriching experience. Situated on the outskirts of downtown Tampa amidst the bustling developments, this park stands as a tribute to the vibrant musical history and community spirit of the Perry Harvey neighborhood. One of the highlights of our visit was undoubtedly the captivating gateway sculptures created by James Simon. These remarkable installations, commissioned by the city of Tampa's Tampa Public Art organization, beautifully capture the essence of the area's musical legacy. From towering musicians to graceful dancers, each sculpture serves as a poignant reminder of the extraordinary talents and contributions of the artists and leaders who once called this community home. As we wandered through the park, we were struck by its serene atmosphere and thoughtful design. Despite its proximity to urban developments, the park exudes a sense of tranquility and offers plenty of space for relaxation and recreation. We particularly enjoyed the picnic areas and the fountain play area, which added to the park's charm. Moreover, we were delighted to discover the artistic touches scattered throughout the park, from the colorful mural featuring iconic musicians like Freddy Mercury, Elton John, and Jimmy Hendrix to the vibrant intersection paintings nearby. These creative flourishes added an extra layer of character to the surroundings and made our visit all the more enjoyable. Although we noticed a few homeless individuals in the vicinity, the overall atmosphere felt safe and welcoming. The park is well-maintained, with clean facilities and ample parking, including designated spots for Park Patrons, which was a thoughtful touch. In conclusion, Perry Harvey Sr. State Park is a hidden gem in Tampa, offering visitors a unique blend of history, art, and natural beauty. Whether you're a music enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city, this park has something to offer everyone. We highly recommend making a stop here during your next visit to Tampa—you won't be disappointed. Thomas Corrao #straycompassphotography

Was an excellent venue for an outdoor event featuring various vendors with foods and other items. There was music, dancing and a play area for kids

Great park for small festivals and events. I just can’t wait until they get some shade and covering but that is not what I am here to write about. The standing exhibit there that relates to the history of Tampa is worth the trip along if you have never been. It’s just so rich with history. I wish they would do a small jazz and blues festival there to honor the history there. Maybe they do it or maybe that is something for the City of Tampa to consider.

Beautiful place to visit alone, with pets, or friends/family. Well kept park. Great to stop and eat, enjoy the sun, enjoy the view, etc. public restrooms available. Occasionally events are held here.

From the silent traveler I present to you a park of History. This is a park that has a lot of history and culture in here. If you want to be moved if you want to learn this is a library on the street from the street. History markers are written in the sidewalk there are movable artwork on the side of the buildings. A very open space for everyone to enjoy and learn from the past to the present. There is plenty of artwork to admire and learn from and get really good ideas. But do not forget the history that is there to respect it to learn from it to understand it. These are just a few pictures that I can present to you. But there is so much more there and I think Tampa for taking the time out and the community for putting this together so people can come by and admire and see it. And all the staff in the local area that keep it meet and clean for the community to enjoy. I cannot say enough of how much history is presented here. You will see things from the civil Rights movement. That was presented I would say the timeline is from 1950 all the way to present. But there is a lot to admire and learn from here. Please take the time out to enjoy what Tampa is offering.

I beautiful walk through African American culture and history. The setup is a nice pathway to walk you through history from the 1800's to mid-2010's. Plus it's free. The area is kept up nicely. Has restrooms, benches, water park feature and open grass area. Definitely worth the trip.
Elaine L — Google review
Such an amazing park! It was clean & practically empty(Sunday at 4:30pm). I love that there’s so many things to do there. The statues are beautiful & reading about some historical facts was another highlight. I wasn’t able to see the whole park but the little I did experience was definitely worth visiting again & again!

A park in the north side of Downtown Tampa, right next to I-275. It’s a nice park with a few historical districts. Additionally, there’s an open field where festivals take place. I went to the Empanada festival and it was good. It was busy, but most of the empanadas were very good, especially the shrimp one from Empanada King. Overall, is a good park to old a festival, although it can get busy here.

Escape room center
Escape Port Charlotte offers a thrilling and engaging escape room experience that is perfect for families, friends, or even bachelorette parties. The rooms provide an opportunity for teamwork, problem-solving, and adventure within a safe and immersive environment. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor activities at Ollie's Pond Park, such as fishing, bird watching, and nature trails. The park is a great way to experience the natural beauty of Port Charlotte.
Perfectly challenging and enjoyable! Good for kids, too. This was my first escape room experience, and I went with my 8-year-old son, who loves magic, puzzles, and codes. We were really engrossed throughout, and Josh, the game master, was very compassionate with his assistance when we needed it, which was often, admittedly :) However, the hints were just that - hints, not answers - so we were still able to remain engaged and feel like we had solved it! The quality of the room and items was very well done. We will definitely do this again.
Cindy T — Google review
My husband and I did the Trickery room together, and it was a great way to spend an evening together. The puzzles were fun, and our game master was helpful both in giving in-character time alerts and providing clues when we got stuck. The room itself was well decorated and helped build the world of the room's story. We're looking forward to going back and doing more rooms here.

We did the “Trickery” escape room with my brothers recently, and it was great! The story, quests, and hints were all good, and the staff was attentive and friendly. I am glad we went, and we will DEFINITELY be back in the future. If you’re looking for something fun to do, check this place out. You won’t regret it!

So much fun! My daughter was visiting and wanted to go. We had never been. We had such a blast, although it was very challenging. Logan was amazing, friendly, upbeat helpful. I warn you though, you will question how smart you think you really are. Lol. For reference our daughter is 22 and we are 55 and 60 and still enjoyed it very much. Just an all around great experience. Will definitely be back.

A group of 4 of us went and did the Trickery Escape Room in Port Charlotte. It was an absolute blast! The game host Josh was fun and energetic (and patient 😅). The clues are well thought out and unique tasks take you to the next clue it was super fun! Definitely recommend. Josh even took a picture with us. Can't wait to try the other rooms and their location in North Port!
Kaylee G — Google review
The escape rooms are a blast. The game masters are a riot and really get into their roles. I've also spent some time with my grandson playing board games there. They have a HUGE selection. Far more than I'd care to store at home. Made for a great rainy afternoon. I'll be hanging out there frequently.
