Tapas bar
Bar Soriano is a must-visit spot in Rioja, located in the famous Calle and Travesia del Laurel. This area is known for its wide variety of small bites within a compact space. At Bar Soriano, you can savor delicious mushrooms with garlic and tiny shrimp. The nearby Pata Negra offers acorn-fed wild Iberico ham, while Bar Simpatia is renowned for its cojonudos featuring quail eggs, spicy chorizo, and peppers.
I don't like mushrooms, but I loved these mushrooms! The tiny bar was heaving with customers, all in good form watching countless plates of mushrooms getting prepped and served by the staff who know exactly what they're doing.
Murray N — Google review
One of the most delicious tapas in north Spain ! Local tapas bar with quick service , beers , wines and amazing mushrooms . Hope to be back some day !😉
Γιαννης Κ — Google review
When a place only serves one dish, you would expect it to be amazing….and you would be right! The mushrooms were outstandingly delicious. Highly recommend.
Tasha P — Google review
They only do Mushrooms but they do them with style! This was our favourite tapa of the night by far. Fresh mushrooms cooked with garlic, parsley and olive oil and topped with a small prawn. Beautifully seasoned and accompanied with a Rioja Crianza which was divine. All this for 7.80 euros was fantastic value for money! Definitely don't miss this place!
Thekilteddrifters — Google review
Would you expect a place that serves only one dish of mushrooms on bread to be busy? Well this place is heaving with locals. I've never tasted mushrooms as good as this. It also sells wine and beer as well. We had 2 glasses of white wine plus 2 mushroom on bread for €5.60
John M — Google review
Don’t miss it! One thing very well done. Delicious and served hot and fast.
Beatriz G — Google review
These mushrooms are amazing!! The service is fast and efficient, especially considering the volume of people they go through. Do brace yourself for the crowds though as it gets really busy here in the evening
Azar F — Google review
If you are looking to have the best grilled mushrooms in the “whole world”, this is where you need to go. There is a good reason why, it is always busy.

Calle del Laurel, located in the old town of Logroño, is a must-visit gastronomic destination when exploring La Rioja. This iconic street is renowned for its over 50 restaurants and tapas bars serving traditional pinchos. The tradition here is to hop from bar to bar, savoring a glass of wine paired with the typical tapa of each establishment.
Such a great place to experience the Spanish culture of pinxtos and wine! We enjoyed so many different restaurants and bars along this street.

Nestled just across the Ebro River from Logroño's historic center, Bodegas Franco Españolas is a celebrated winery with roots stretching back over a century. This charming establishment offers visitors an opportunity to explore its rich history through guided tours and tastings, showcasing the art of winemaking that has flourished since its inception in the 1800s.
The perfect wine tasting experience in Logroño. Well established winery with a beautiful tasting room, friendly, patient, multi-lingual, and knowledgeable staff. Delicious wines. Various purchase options, including shipping - at reasonable costs. Reservation was not required for the tasting menu…on this day. Reds delivered as expected, but the whites were a complete and delightful surprise. Ordered a mixed case shipped.
Randy R — Google review
We have really enjoyed the winery tour at Franco Españolas, it is right there in the city of Logroño so do not miss it. The tour content is way superior than other wineries because they take a meta view of the history of the region. It was the union of Spanish and French producers (hence the name) after the phyllorexa epidemic that spawn the renewal of wine production and it happened right here at this winery. The tour is very complete, from the original vats to the cellar where they store their old vintages (that are on sale), our tour guides was very knowledgeable and enjoyed giving the history and explanations. That was the highlight: the tour guide. It made a big difference. And he answered all questions. A real professional. The tasting at the end is the most underwhelming part of the tour, we almost lowered the rating to 4/5 because of it but the tour guide is so good that the content more than made up for the wine tasting. Highly recommended. P.S.: if this review was useful, please leave a 👍 and we thank you 🙏 in advance
Mister M — Google review
We attended the Spanish language version. Interesting tour from a history point of view. Very knowledgeable guide, lacking in enthusiasm though. The tasting at the end of the tour left us a bit cold. This is where the guide's passion would have helped. Instead, he just disappeared without saying thanks and goodbye to the visitors. Overall, professionally organized, a tourist experience rather than one for wine enthusiasts. And that's fine, just go and attend with the correct expectations.
Hannele P — Google review
We only did a wine tasting and not a tour. We had a couple of flights of wine, a cheese board, and ventrescas. Ruben, our server, did a great job of explaining the wines to us in English. Our favorite wine was the Palpita. The atmosphere was pleasant.
Tracy T — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Victor, our tour guide, shared the history of the winery and wine making process. Because of the echoing, it was difficult to hear at times. The tasting was just as good as we had hoped.
Angie C — Google review
Booked a wine tour and when I showed up the next day for it, was told along with everyone else that was there for it that they had to cancel. The reason being that someone had paid a lot of money for a private tour that afternoon. They were very apologetic and said they would refund the money- obviously they have to do that. They gave everyone a glass of wine from the bar. Patrons could not rebook because they were not in town when it would be rescheduled. Wine was good, not great. They really should have done more for the inconvenience they caused everyone. Many other places to choose from.
Kim G — Google review
We did a tour with a very good English speaking young lady, Carmen. She was very knowledgable, the Bodegas is amazing and massive. The wines were nice too. Try afterwards!
Ken R — Google review
This is a fun tour and the grounds have been there for such a long time, the historical photos on the tour are really cool. There is a collection of old bottles that would be amazing to get a chance to try. At the end of the tour you get to sample some wine with some snacks to clear the pallet.

Bar
Bar Lorenzo "Agus Tio" is a bustling bar located at the top of Travesia Laurel, known for its specialty in grilled skewered meat. The menu features simply grilled chistorra and succulent lamb kebabs with a secret sauce passed down through generations. The star dish, Tio Agus, consists of grilled sausage encased in a bread bun and topped with tangy salsa verde.
They specialise in marinated meat on skewers (pinchitos) or in bread with a sauce (bocadillos), and food is delicious. That is what they do, it’s a simple menu and a small bar, with friendly service. Being in Rioja they of course have a great selection of wines at good prices. Overall very good value for the quality. They had a vegan option on offer when we visited.
Kathryn H — Google review
A good place for meat lovers. The Agus is a must try. The sausage is a bit salty as almost all the Spanish sausages. The waiters at the bar work as a team and synced perfectly. Very efficient to arrive and charge. No long wait or line up.
Qiaoyu M — Google review
Their sandwiches the Tio Angus is the most beautiful experience. Would never forget the explosion of flavours. Would love to come here again!!!!!!

Tapas bar
If you're planning a pinchos-hopping adventure in Logroño, Bar Blanco y Negro is an absolute must-visit! Nestled in the heart of the bustling tapas scene, this vibrant bar has been delighting patrons since the late 19th century with its delicious offerings and locally sourced wines. The star of their menu is undoubtedly the matrimonio—a delightful creation featuring two types of marinated anchovies nestled in a warm, crispy bun alongside pickled green pepper.
Delicious tapas foods. Very fast and amazing service and also a popular place.
Josh L — Google review
Very fast service, few little things in the menu but if anchovies (both ways- salty and vinegary) is what you want, this is your place. A bruschetta with raspberry sauce on top of goat cheese and ham was a fun discover. The waiter who served us was super friendly and funny. 2 wines, and two pintxos 10€
Beatriz G — Google review
Best gluten free pintxos ever! They bake there own gluten free bread. Matrimonio is the classic pintxo, very tasty. Great service too, ask for recommendations on the wine. Crianza red wine <Edulis/Piérola> are the best option (personal recommendation) In general it's very cheap.
Exe L — Google review
I had a matrimonio and white wine. The bread is delicious, I’m not really a fan of anchovies but everyone here says that it’s a typical pincho that you have to taste if you are here in Logroño. It’s not bad, I think that if you like anchovies it would be actually really good. We also tasted the bread with goat cheese and jamon. This was delicious.
Andrea G — Google review
Delicious gluten free options. Sin gluten was amazing.
Jess B — Google review
Excellent sardine and green pepper pincho!

Located in the heart of Calle Laurel, Juan y Pinchame is a must-visit bar that specializes in mouthwatering grilled shrimp and pineapple skewers. Their shrimp brochettes are simply exquisite, leaving a lasting impression on anyone who tries them. The combination of flavors is a perfect balance between sweetness from the shrimp and a savory caramelization from the pineapple. Alongside their delicious offerings, they also serve spinach croquettes which are equally delightful.
At Juan and Pinchamé Tapas Bar, my visit was truly delightful and wallet-friendly. I decided to indulge in their renowned delicacy, the Grilled Tiger Prawns with Fresh Pineapple Skewer, and it surpassed all expectations. I found myself utterly captivated by its exquisite flavors and textures.
Julio H — Google review
Delicious tapas, as most places in the area they only make a few things but do good at them.
Bruce H — Google review
Always a great choice...shrimps & pineapple brocheta, spinach croquettes...nice staff...After 6 years from my first trip to Logroño...still the same quality with a new restaurant look...check it out!
Javier G — Google review
Great tapas, not the usual. We loved the gamba with pineapple, and the "zapatilla de jamon" : a slice of bread with tomato and jamon, toasted. Their "tortilla de bacalao" (omelet with codfish) is cooked perfectly. And we were very pleased we were welcome inside the bar with our dog.
Gerda R — Google review
Great place with a wonderful staff. They had some excellent wines and the langostino con pina was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend.

Tapas bar
Bar Jubera, located on Calle del Laurel in Logrono, La Rioja, Spain, has gained popularity since its establishment in 1980. The bar is renowned for its specialty dish - patatas bravas. Unlike the usual mild versions found elsewhere, Bar Jubera's patatas bravas are known for their spiciness due to the use of local chili in the sauce. This adds an extra kick to the traditional recipe made with smoked paprika-infused tomato sauce.
Perfect for a quick bite of patatas bravas, they are truly great and spicy. Only dish they serve.
Daniela G — Google review
Delicious patatas, quick and efficient service, insanely busy with people always hovering over you to leave. It's also not easy to get a corner to eat. Worth it though!
Azar F — Google review
I loved this place! Patatas Bravas were a little spicy but preluded by delicious tomato flavor. I prefer this to the other more barbeque style patats Bravas I've had in Basque country and Barcelona. If you order them spicy, you should be ready because they already have a nice subtle, back end heat to them.
Carl M — Google review
Really good patatas bravas for only €4.50, with quick service and kind, helpful staff. Highly recommended.
Zehra K — Google review
Well, the patatas bravas here is tasty but not super special for me. One glass of wine and mosto, and one dish cost 6.20 Euros.
Anna — Google review
Patatas bravas €4.3 : Fresh crispy potatoes, sauce is spicy! Also available without any sauce.
Suki L — Google review

Bar El Perchas is a renowned spot known as a temple of the riojan pinchos, having opened its doors in 1955. After temporarily closing in 2014 and causing distress among its loyal customers, it reopened in 2015 with a remodeled look while staying true to its original spirit. The bar is famous for its pig ear pintxos, which can be enjoyed regular or spicy.
The spicy pig's ear was out of this world. A definite must on the pincho trail.

The Perchas specialty is pig's ear tapa, which they offer in two varieties, spicy or breaded in a small sandwich. Either option is great, and they are made on the spot. It's usually always full. The attention of the girls is very good, friendly and fast in the service. An essential place and a must-visit in the Laurel area. Highly recommended on the tapas route. Bar Sebas, located on Calle Albornoz, is a popular spot known for its delicious tapas and pinchos. One must-try dish is the tortilla espanola, a Spanish staple that's cooked to perfection with no runny middle. The bar also offers other amazing dishes like stuffed pepper, Bacalao (Cod), and even morcilla (blood sausage) for the adventurous foodie.
Queso de cabra, jamon, and frambuesa pintxos was amazing! I have no doubt the others are just as good. This bar looks beautiful inside and has great decor. The wall mounted brass wine bottle opener was something I want in my house!
Carl M — Google review
We tried the tortillas with spicy sauce and the stuffed pepper. We kinda liked the tortillas with spicy sauce however, even when we came here in the morning, most of the pintxos were cold and not fresh. So we were not sure if they cooked today or yesterday. Anyway, they use a microwave to heat them up which is not good.

I lived in Logroño for year and this is definitely my favorite tapas/pinchos bar. The stuffed pepper (pimiento relleno), tortilla (Spanish omelette), and Bacalao (Cod) are all amazing. If you can manage to be just a bit brave I would recommend trying the morcilla (blood sausage). Sounds gross, but it is AMAZING!

Tapas bar
Nestled in the vibrant Calle del Laurel, Pata Negra is a must-visit for any food lover exploring the Rioja region. This charming wine-and-tapas bar pays homage to its namesake, one of the finest brands of Iberian-cured jamón. Here, you can savor hand-cut strips of this exquisite acorn-fed ham paired with fresh tomatoes and an array of cheeses in their signature toasted bocatitas—mini sandwiches that are simply delightful.
Delicious bocatita, jamón serrano with queso. Divine. Extensive wine list and a few tables to sit - welcome when you want to stop for a little longer.
Nahid K — Google review
Extremely rude staff, they didn't understand my order and when I politely said this is not what I ordered the guy at the counter looked at me with extreme disappointment and started talking rudely and laughing about me with another costumer, I spoke to him in Spanish so he knew I could understand what he was saying about me. Logroño, located in northern Spain, is a city steeped in history and tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. As a stop on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, it boasts an impressive monumental legacy closely tied to the passage of pilgrims. La Cocina de Ramón is a charming family-run restaurant located in the heart of Logrono, just steps away from the city's market. The restaurant prides itself on sourcing all its ingredients from the nearby Plaza Abastos, ensuring fresh and high-quality produce. With a focus on traditional meat and fish dishes, as well as set menu options, La Cocina de Ramón also offers a dedicated section for vegetable-based dishes that showcase the region's renowned fresh vegetables.
I visited Logroño today and I was lucky to find this great restaurant for lunch. I had heard about nice tapas in the old town and was ready to attack. But I saw this place, lots of Michelin stars for years, and decided to try. Very few times in my life I've eaten so much but the food was good. I ordered the country style dishes and decided to finish it with a flan and sweet wine. I did manage to get up and walk about this nice city before leaving. Service from all the staff was exemplary, and I even managed to practice talking some Spanish. It was a really good experience.

Some of the best food we have eaten. Absolutely delicious. We ordered dishes to share and they separated them in the kitchen beautifully into individual and generous portions. The service is a little disjointed, but in a way that is endearing rather than taking away from the experience. The ambience is a little stark initially, but you soon settle in. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It is also family friendly, and I say that as a childless diner who enjoyed an intimate meal with my partner but there were two neighbouring tables with children that the restaurant accommodated perfectly and in a way that was both great for them but did not detract from our own meal.

I discovered La Cocina de Ramón while passing through Logroño on my Camino de Santiago, and it was a fantastic experience. The steak was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself is charming and cozy, perfect for a relaxing meal after a day of walking/cycling The food was exquisite, with a great balance between quality and price. The service was excellent, always attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

Wowwww, a gem of indulgence! This was an amazing tasting experience. We dropped by without a reservation, the hospitality and effort in speaking English was superb friendly. We had a weekday lunch menu (3-course) which is a fantastic deal for €25 pp. Each course was divine delicious and portions was quite large for our standards. Offered courses was similar to a-la-carte selection and might differ slightly. Definitely recommend starter Logrono tomato tuna salad and for dessert Torrijas a la Riojana (Spanish-style French toast) and Spanish cheesecake which has a very cheesy taste

Restaurante Letras de Laurel is a laid-back spot offering an array of Spanish plates and pinchos, complemented by a diverse selection of local wines. The restaurant is known for its specialty dish, the Piruleta de solomillo iberico, a grilled pork lollipop wrapped in iberico with mushroom sauce. It's not the top favorite but definitely a must-try due to its popularity.

Our experience at Letras de Laurel was pleasant, but we left having eaten way too much. The set menu is €20.90 which is an amazing price for the amount of food we ate. The food is good but nothing amazing. Next time we would eat their tapas rather than a sit down meal. Our waitress was fantastic. Despite our awful ability to speak Spanish she accommodated us as best as she could. I have a nut allergy and a allergy menu was provided for me! I would recommend coming to this restaurant!

Tapas bar
Bar Ángel, located at Calle del Laurel 12, is a popular spot in Logrono, La Rioja, Spain known for its Spanish tapas and regional wine and beer. One of its signature dishes is the Pincho Champinon con Gamba, which consists of three grilled mushrooms skewered on a toothpick and topped with a single prawn.
One of the BEST tapas restaurants/bars we visited in Spain - absolutely packed, even during the week. They serve one food item and they do it VERY well - it’s a delicious fresh piece of bread with 3 sautéed mushrooms and shrimp on it, and it pairs perfectly with their wine and beer offerings. When I got back to the US, I still dreamt about this place and wished we had somewhere comparable to it in Boston or NY. It’s one of a kind and so delicious and memorable - very affordable too!!
Nicole E — Google review
Only serves one pincho, and it is delicious. Also good variety of wine. Most servers seem friendly, but mine was not, and was quite rude to me on several occasions. Maybe I was unlucky or she just was having a bad day. Will definitely give it another try and hope for a better server.
Daniel P — Google review
It was quite crowded, and we waited almost 30 minutes for our food, but it was absolutely worth it! We tried another place serving the same dish, and Bar Angel still wins hands down. Great flavors and overall experience. Highly recommend if you have the time!
Lili C — Google review
You can’t have your cake and eat it too. On the very busy Laurel Street, Bar Angel is an institution. One of those specialty tapas bar, they specialize in mushrooms. And they do it very well. And cheap. We did the notice the shrimps are smaller than in 2022. Shrinkflation. But when you do it well and cheap, there are crowds. And the restaurant will try its best to serve everybody so service will be screamed and that adds to the overall atmosphere similar to a market. Not for everybody. Circus atmosphere. Most bothering were the waitresses who ignore clients and scream at each other, over our heads, unrelated to service, just for fun. Classless. If I was the owner, I would attend to it because it makes the visit unbearable. We ate and we left because of that. But that may be exactly what they want. There are other people waiting to be screamed at. P.S.: if this review was useful to you, please leave a ❤️, thank you 🙏

Restaurante La Tavina is a three-floor establishment located at the beginning of Calle del Laurel in Logrono's bar district. The ground floor features a bar where guests can enjoy a variety of wines paired with tapas. Moving up to the first-floor cellar and tasting room, visitors can choose from 500 different wine varieties. The dining room on the upper floor offers an excellent setting for enjoying lunch or dinner with a favorite bottle of wine selected from the extensive collection available.
Tried the beef tartare and it was excellent, fresh, tender, and well-seasoned with just the right balance of flavors. The cheesecake was decent, nothing too special. But the real surprise? The wine mixed with lemonade, probably the best drink I’ve had today! Definitely worth a visit for the food and drinks.
Lili C — Google review
For some reason, this restaurant is highly rated. We could not understand why. The wine selection is outstanding, that is on the bright side. However, food was well-below par. I made the mistake of ordering fried artichokes. I only learned from another customer that it was the wrong season for that. Very underwhelming, I would remove it from menu if I was the owner. Small portion on top of that. The rest of the food was average. We left after 2-3 tapas because of that. I would still return because the inside atmosphere was awesome, dominated by wine bottles, it is very attractive from the outside. But I would only drink here. Service was quick and amicable, but not that friendly. Overall, just an average place, there are better options in Logroño. P.S.: if this review was useful to you, please leave a quick ❤️, thank you 🙏

Our group of 24 (plus our tour manager and coach bus driver) sat on the upper floor for dinner. We were served family style of fresh baked bread, crispy pork belly, croquettes, pimentos de padron, a tomato salad (thinly sliced) drizzled with balsamic vinegar, grated cheese and olive oil, and lamb shank with potatoes. We were served with copious amounts of red and white wine. Dessert too, but I didn’t take a photo and don’t recall what it was. Overall, a great dinner with friends. I cannot comment on the price because it was part of our tour package.

Bodegas Campo Viejo is a renowned winery located in La Rioja, Spain. The winery boasts contemporary architecture designed by Ignacio Quemada and is home to the largest wine ageing cellar in Europe. It has received accolades for its integration with the surrounding landscape. The modern visitors center offers stunning views of the vineyard and resembles a chateau, while the underground wine cellar pays homage to traditional cellars and blends seamlessly into the hillside.
Amazing tour of the Bodegas winery/vineyard. Got a private tour watching the entire process while the staff explained much of the information to us. Got to see the large vats, the storage areas, and their private wine library. Would definitely recommend this place. It’s a little outside the city but easy to get to by car or taxi. We took a taxi there and they called a taxi to pick us up as well. Also recommend you purchase wine that they only sell in Spain and not easily exported.

We had an amazing tour with Ariana! She's truly passionate and had a lot of knowledge which made the whole experience so much better. Taking my guests from Off Road & Overland Adventures Ltd to Campo Viejo at least once a year I have to say this year's tour has been even better than past years. Joana, our guild was absolutely amazing and showed us things that I had not seen on previous tours and for that this deserves a 5* review as being a travel guide myself I had moments of surprise like my guests do and got that amazed 1st time feeling all over again. The tasting after the tour is fantastic and Joana really did know her stuff as she found us wines that were not on the shelf as well as guiding us through new tastes. We will see you in 2025.

I have not been to many winery tours but totally enjoyed this one. Gabriella our guide was fabulous and explained details about the region I would never have thought to ask. The winery was modern and beautiful. Our wines were paired with chocolate (I would never have thought to do). It was relaxing and worth the taxi ride (if you didn’t have a car).

We have always liked Campo Viejo wine we bought in our country. Campo Viejo is branded at all over the world with very international focus and large good quality production. But our experience at the winery was terrible I have to say, we could only visit the winery today as a tourist. The girl at the reception said the tour will be in Spanish, and then she ignored completely us during the 1h30m tour, with only two sentences in English: did you understand anything in the beginning? And did you enjoy the tour in the end? You could have gave a bit more care and effort to your international customers who have always bought and liked your wine in our country. But she seems to be too arrogant to say a few more words in English to explain things, even though she speaks perfect English. I wonder how long your brand will continue abroad, but I still write this review to help you improve your business, even though your terrible attitude and stuff has gave us such a bad impression for this Spanish - international brand.
Lena L — Google review
We had such a great time! Arancha is a great tour guide, super friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. The Bodega is beautiful, it’s more than meets the eye. The wines are varied and accommodate any palette. If you re in the area don’t hesitate, definitely worth the stop!
Georgie R — Google review
The winery is amazing, driving up you have no idea of the size as the production area is all underground. The fermenting tanks, barrel room and bottle room are a sight to behold and makes a tour completely worth it. Campo Viejo is a huge winery and the staple reliable Spanish red in my country (Canada) so I had to visit it while in La Rioja. Just be aware it’s very commercial and professionally run, compared to smaller wineries where you might meet the owner it feels pretty slick, you won’t get a personal experience and it’s not cheap.
James D — Google review
This is the most impressive bodega I’ve been to in La Rioja so far!! Our tour guide Ariana was exceptional and spoke in great detail about the functionality of the winery. I can’t recommend this place enough especially since their tasting with the tour allows you to sample a really interesting selection of their best wines.

One of the few truly kid-centric indoor activities in Logroño. Beautiful and convenient location along the Ebro River bank, flanked on both sides by trails and park space. Small museum with limited exhibits, and a great little library. Weekends feature hands-on, interactive demonstrations which are excellent - often hosted in their heavily shaded outdoor space. Also some fun science-inspired installations throughout the property. Very kind staff, clean facility, and a welcomed reprieve from the summer heat.

Bar
Bar El Soldado de Tudelilla is a charming, family-run establishment that exudes a laid-back atmosphere reminiscent of traditional Spanish taverns. Originally opened in the bustling Laurel area, it has since moved to Calle San Agustin under the stewardship of Azucena Sanz, who took over from her partner Manolo after 18 years. The bar is adorned with nostalgic knick-knacks and vintage photographs that tell stories of its rich history.
A truly wonderful place, one of my favourites in Logroño. The tomato salad bursts with flavours and is to die for, honestly! The sandwiches are finger-licking good, the wine is terrific (no hangover whatsoever), and the place quite simply makes whoever visits happy and a better person. Un milagro! The hosts make you feel so welcome that you may mistake them for your family. Gracias para todo!

Such unfriendly ladies. Made us feel like we imposing. Will not recommend this restaurant to visit. You can find their tomato and union salad everywhere. Nothing special. 👎👎👎

Small local bar, frequented mainly by the locals. Owner offers cold dishes, cold cuts, salads and small dishes. We had the tomatoes salad, which was good. However, the owner wouldn't know what hygiene is if it hit him in the face.

Bar La Casita is a must-visit spot along Calle Laurel, offering a delightful break from indulging in Rioja wine and delectable tapas. The bartenders are known for their refreshing sorbete de limon, a lemony slush made with cava, a Spanish sparkling wine.
What a great little place the seafood salad with so fresh. The croquettes with goat cheese and walnuts was outstanding. All of the bartenders are friendly and smiling, and serve you quick. Great selections of wine and fantastic prices should definitely be one of your pit stops.

Im a vegetarian and really enjoyed this pincho bar. There were 5 vegetarian options and 2 vegan. I got a croquette with cheese and walnut, eggplant filled with something and topped with cheese, and vegan morcilla. My bf and I loved the eggplant(he’s not vegetarian) and I really liked the croquette. I was happy to try the morcilla since I’ve never had the vegan version before. I’ve been vegetarian my whole life so a lot of times, I am not used to the meat flavors which was the case this time. I am glad I tried it though. Service was fast but this place can get crowded. Less crowd during lunch than at dinner time.

We wondered the old town of logrono chasing every highly rated restaurant. Google’s hours and days open wasted hours. Rarely correct. Stumbled on this place and owner said open in 15 minutes. 7 30. OK came back, bot a bottle of fantastic rioja white and then had the best dinner i had in 2 weeks in Basques country. And i had spent 4xs the 64 euro my dinner cost here! So fresh seafood, expertly prepared! My wife is a snobby foodie and great chef and even she agreed, very good. Small paper napkins and bare tables with the menu as the table cloth but, hey, small price to pay for great service and spectacular food.

Superb, octopus leg and the skewers with pulpo and gambas were the tastiest we had in the whole week. 2 wines and 2 pintxos 14€ . Sadly no pics as we were very hungry and eager to try the food. It was superb! Ambience was lively and welcoming , guy who served us was super nice (with glasses)

The experience in Bar la Casita was super nice. The food is really good, the people working in there are kind and gentle, what guarantee to you a really good service. They have nice drinks too. The unique thing sometimes bothers is the time you need to wait to have your food, but this is related to how crowded is the place. So, if you wanna eat faster I highly recommend to go when there is not a lot of people (check about that on google).

Bar Cid is a small, vintage-style establishment that exudes authenticity. The traditional bar is adorned with vines and grapes hanging from the wooden beam ceiling, creating a charming ambiance. It has been serving its stellar pincho for over three decades. The menu primarily features grilled mushrooms with garlic, parsley, and olive oil, available in different portion sizes. Despite its limited menu, the dishes are described as absolutely delicious by patrons.
They do mushrooms (setas = large oyster type mushrooms) grilled with garlic, parsley, olive oil. You can get a pintxo - small portion on bread - or a larger half ración. This is all they do and it may sound boring but they really are absolutely delicious. The waitress was lovely and recommended a nice wine from their very good selection. Good value and fun ambiance.

Very small unassuming places for Pinchos. We ordered 2 glasses of Tinto and 1 plate of mushrooms. We sat inside, but they keep the front door open and people do smoke right in front. So you will smell like cigarettes no matter what. I personally do not like smoke but eating these mushrooms was worth it. I usually don't care either way about mushrooms, but these were probably the best I have ever had in my life. Bar Cid is a treat you don't want to miss.

Wine Fandango is an elegant Spanish restaurant and wine bar situated in the heart of Logrono, housed in a restored 19th-century mansion. The establishment features an open kitchen and a spacious terrace for guests to enjoy. Aitor Esnal and Beatriz Martinez, known for their successful restaurant Marinee, have collaborated with wine experts Ricardo and Jose Miguel Arambarri to create this new culinary venture.
We highly recommend Wine Fandango in Logroño. In a town dedicated to the quick tapas, Fandango is a more tranquil, sophisticated and elegant table. The restaurant is located in the basement of a building but never feels like it. There is a descending staircase with levels for the terrace before entering. The entrance features both a spectacular half-moon shaped wine cellar. Opposite, the bar is equally spectacular with side panels that lift all the way up to the ceiling with different alcool bottles. We were quickly seated and well assisted with the menu. All dishes were impeccable, this is restaurant for adults, beautiful presentations in a modern style of plating. We ordered different wines by the glass, they have a pretty good selection. Surprisingly, not the best wine we sampled in Logroño, their selection is wide, it can be hit or miss. For a restaurant that has «wine» in their name, in a wine area, with awesome food, I was expecting more (constructive criticism here). Service was very professional. One of us had a special request at the end of the meal. I saw the kitchen was closing, they still delivered the request, I was impressed with the professionalism of this place. Overall, rather on the expensive side however the quality, service and presentation were equal to the price and as such, price/quality is respected here. Highly recommended, go without hesitation. P.S.: please leave a 👍of this review was helpful in making choices, thank you 🙏

Really dissapointed with this place!! We organized a brunch with friends through their web site and followed the corresponding steps for the reservation. When we arrived at the Restaurant we were told that it was not possible to have it as for brunches only with a previous phone call could be made it. There is not any information about this on the web and indeed we received the confirmation. They did not do any effort to fix the issue and we had to look for an alternative plan. This facts are not typical of a good service from my PoV.

Very good selection of wines by the glass, perfect for trying and discovering interesting labels. Unfortunately, I couldn’t eat anything because the place was packed, and it took me a long time to be able to order. The décor is nice and well thought out, but due to the large crowd, I found it quite noisy. I believe the experience would be much better at a quieter time.
Q G — Google review
Booked in for dinner just based on finding the name on Google maps and the pictures. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the decor was good, the wine was good and nice to have a lot of different wines offered by the glass. The food though was fairly average. I had the samosas which were good, quite a big portion. My wife had the squid ink rice with chives and cheese which was overpowered by the salty, seafood taste of the squid so it just tasted of salty, seafood rice and there was a large bowl of it. For mains I chose the tuna which was a bit overcooked and was again overpowered by salt because it was in a broth of soy sauce and with the addition of roe so lacked complexity or the ability to really taste the tuna so it may as well have been tinned. It could have used some accompaniment of vegetables as it was just a piece of tuna in a bowl of salty tasting broth with some roe and as the bowl is deep and steep it's quite difficult to get it out with a knife and fork, a spoon would have been better. My wife had the duck and despite the menu not listing it, it came wrapped in bacon. She didn't think it really needed this as there was enough duck and it didn't really add much and the bacon took over from the delicate sweetness of the duck, also the pear puree couldn't be detected. The desserts were a sharing size Tiramisu and cheese cake. The coconut ice cream was very subtle and she found the cheese cake just average. Don't expect too much from the food as the menu reads a bit better than it appears but as a lively venue with a good wine selection it's worth a visit.

I visited on a Sunday for lunch and was thoroughly impressed. The seasonal menú del día offered a filling and delicious selection of first and second courses. I opted for the rice and the fish, but we shared some of our dishes. The combination of flavors was unique. The base flavors pay homage to classic Spanish recipes but small international additions (like hoisin sauce in the rice) provide small surprises and tasty additions to familiar flavors. The staff was also very friendly and professional. I loved the design of the restaurant as well and it serves as a reflection of its food; classic, with modern flair. Overall, a high quality meal with great service in an amazing ambience. I hope to be back soon!

The Concatedral de Santa María de la Redonda de Logroño is a grand and historic cathedral with two imposing baroque towers that rise over Plaza del Mercado. It is home to significant artistic treasures, including a painting by Michelangelo and carvings by Gregorio Fernandez. The cathedral also houses the venerated image of the Virgin of Hope, patron saint of Logrono.
When you enter the cathedral, there is a notice saying that a QR code for an audio guide is available at Reception. I would take this to mean the sacristy, which is at the very end of the church behind the altar , however it is closed in the middle of the day & not open until 7 pm . Search online for “ la redonda audio guide english “ and it takes you to the Audio Co Cathedral - Logróño website which has the English version of the audio guide. It is well worth listening to as you go around the cathedral.

Nice cathedral, with a Michelangelo in the back. You have to pay to see a lot of the art lit up, unfortunately, but it's free to get in so not a huge deal.

An impressive cathedral, yet another in Spain, with a reputed Michaelangelo. Fantastic altar pieces, free entry, not always open and for those complaining about having to pay to highlight certain aspects, whilst its a valid complaint it's mere cents. My pet dislike is in so many churches nowadays that the candles are not real so I refuse to pay.

Cathedral certainly nice, but we could not make a tour inside because….5 masses in a row from 9 am till 2 pm

Nice place, looks impressive inside. They have a unconfirmed Michelangelo painting in the back. Also they open a north tower for visitors and a back door with a nice hall some times. But the most impressive -they play a real organ, with live choir - sounds amazing. I heard it couple of times on weekends in the evening, not sure about the other time slots.

An imposing cathedral with the two twin towers over its beautifully carved Western doors looking down over the Plaza mayor of Logroño. Although not as grandiose as the Cathedrals of Burgos, León, Oviedo or Santiago it is still well worth a visit and has some excellent structures and pieces. The bar offers over 100 wines, with 90% of them being from the Rioja region. Wine enthusiasts and food lovers frequent this place to enjoy the variety of wines available by the glass or bottle.
Amazing tapas with over 60+ wines from all over Spain to choose from! The dishes are only $6-$8 on average, definitely high dining level food. You can ask for wine pairing recommendations to go with each tapas from the staff. Quite busy throughout the day, good place to eat with the locals.

Hands down the best pinchos we had in Logroño. Everything we tried was excellent. The marinated tuna stood out the most. We went back a few times 😋 It was also not expensive which was a nice surprise given their Michelin ratings. Highly recommend!!
Tasha P — Google review
Tuna tataki was very delicious, fresh with Japanese twist in flavor. Very nice. The basque cheese cake was moist, creamy and not too sweet. So good! Wine selection was extensive. Our crianzas were both very good. Everything was clearly labeled which was very helpful. Standing room at bar and tables available in back.

This place blew me away. They deserve the Michelin star. The oxtail was not to be missed and the tuna toast was my favorite. Surprising! I also loved the tempura. It was freshly done. Wasn’t in love with the mushroom toast or the cod but it was just less flavorful and still worth it. The wine was also some of my favorite in Spain. Really you must go. It was fantastic. Go at 8 pm when it opens because it was really busy by the time we left

Amazing food accompanying high quality Rioja wines, a bit crowded yet good atmosphere. The tuna tataki was excellent and the Abel Mendoza Monga - Séleccion Personal 2021 was fantastic!

Nestled in the heart of Logroño, Asador Herventia is a delightful culinary gem that beautifully marries modern flair with traditional charm. The restaurant's decor features nostalgic elements from the early 20th century, such as elegant pillars and charming globe-shaped lamps, creating an inviting atmosphere. Known for its seasonal gastronomic events, Asador Herventia offers a diverse menu that showcases expertly prepared fish and meat dishes.
We visited this restaurant twice in a row. The food and service are excellent, the choice of various wines is wide. We were served by a well English speaking Rafael who gave us the correct advise on both food and wines. Fish and meat dishes were prepared with optimal class. Prices are justified for the offered quality. Conclusion: recommended to gourmets like us! ;-)

We had a wonderful dinner here without paying all that much. The menu was around €35 and for this you got many different tapas-like starters, a huge and delicious main course and a very nice and big dessert. Also has an extensive wine collection.

The restaurant offers a blend of traditional and modern cuisine, with a focus on seasonal ingredients such as artichokes and asparagus during specific times of the year.
Incredible experience dining at this restaurant! We started with the tomato/tuna/onion dish and it was phenomenal - fresh, delicious tomatoes and perfectly done tuna with a local olive oil glaze at the table. I thought this would be my favorite... Until my squid cooked in its own ink arrived - 10/10 texture and amazing sauce. If you are in town and don't eat here you have made a mistake!

We arrived and when we asked for the table reserved, looked like they did not have many interest, the presentation of the menu was excellent, all in blackboard then they showed same for the wines, that was truly fantastic, the 🍅 tomato salad was exquisite. The mushroom 🍄 were also very good, then we order a T bone steak that excellent, desserts were cheese cake, torrija and chocolate couland that were all 😋 delicious. Wine 🍷 very good. Price we paid for 5 was close to 400 euros.

for the first time, my husband decided to entrust me with the choice of a restaurant. I chose based on reviews, looked at the menu and photos of dishes. while walking, we saw a beautiful temple nearby. but at the entrance on the ground floor we saw a mountain of boxes and none of the staff. We went up to the third floor ourselves and saw that all the tables were free except one. We saw 2 employees, one was laying something out on a stepladder, the second was standing next to it. we greeted each other and asked if it was possible to have lunch (Google maps showed that the restaurant would close only in 2 hours), the girl on the stepladder did not even turn to us, said no, we do not serve without reserve. I don't understand why you should make a reserve on a weekday at 1 p.m. I worked as a waitress 12 years ago and was a cook 13 years ago, but I never stood "booty" in front of customers. my husband suggested that I make a reserve and eat with them, but apparently this restaurant does not need money and customers, since it is necessary to make a reserve with an empty hall.

I was starving at 3 o’clock most restaurants are closed or closing but I wanted a really good meal. The guy at the front said they were all booked up. 😅 As I’m walking away he said wait a sec. I guess someone was a no show so he gave me the only open table in the place which was for 6. I’m so happy i got a chance to eat there, the food was awesome. Didn’t get any wine cause i have to drive in a few hours 😌! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

This traditional eatery boasts a warm atmosphere adorned with classic white tablecloths, making it an inviting spot for both locals and visitors alike.
Busy, traditional white cloth restaurant in the heart of Logroño's restaurant district serving traditional local dishes. Owned and managed by Alberto Andrés, Restaurante Iruña has over fifty years of trading. It is a popular spot amongst locals and tourists so reservations are highly recommended. The salchichon asado (12.50 Euros) with red peppers was yummy and highly recommended as a starter. The chuleton de vaca (49.00 Euros) is a wonderful main if you are after some tasty local flavour. The torrija (7.50 Euros), a traditional local dessert (French toast equivalent) is a great choice. While you end up paying a premium compared to other similar restaurants in town, Iruña is a great spot for lunch or dinner.

Delicious food! They speak a little bit of English and have English menus, not perfect translation but I’m grateful. Our meals were amazing. Opens at 9pm though so be aware. We got there around 8:30 and walked around Calle de Laurel and got one tapa and a glass of wine. Our entrees and one glass of wine was only $50!

Excellent food and the waitress was very polite and helpful. Highly recommend the tuna. They were kind enough to split the portion on two plates, so you only see a half portion in this picture. Since it locates at the corner, it appears very roomy, bright and inviting. The food was good, but I thought that the value/price ratio was low; 10 tiny baby squids and a handful of pimiento del padrón cost €18,50 . The cook/server lady had an attitude, maybe because my Spanish was not good so she needed her colleague to repeat to her what I ordered.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE NOT A LOCAL. There were four of us trying to get the servers attention and they continuously served people who are clearly locals Who would just push past us and put your order in. We couldn’t even get anyone to make eye contact with us. After waiting about half an hour we ended up just leaving. Horrendous service. Extremely unwelcoming. They should be ashamed of themselves.. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant.

Pulpería La Universidad is a must-stop if you’re an octopus lover. Their pulpo a la gallega is spot on, tender, perfectly seasoned with paprika and olive oil, and served in generous portions. We also tried the croquettes, which were crisp on the outside and creamy inside, making them the perfect bite alongside a few cold beers. The atmosphere is lively, service is quick, and it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay for “just one more” drink. An essential stop on Calle Laurel.

I've told everyone that the skewers at bar Paganos in Calle Laurel is why the Camino passes through Logrono! The staff are fantastic and whether it's a good wine or a small beer you'll get great hospitality and it's magnificent value. I've been coming here for the last 6 or 7 caminos and apart from when it was closed I've had my fill! Calle Laurel has so many places that some people don't make it this far before the albergue is closing but do yourself a favour and start your evening here and work your way back to the albergue! One of the coolest winery and vineyards in the area. Very close to the main city and walkable/bike-able. We made our appointment for the first part of the day and the tour was done very well in English. We saw so much and they explained a lot of the process in great detail. Would definitely recommend this smaller winery and purchasing the wine that they don’t export. Ended the tour with a tasting and some meats and cheeses! Almost a private tour since it was only the two of us. Plenty of parking if you’re driving out here.

Lovely tour of the barrel room and tasting. Very quiet on a Monday and they were able to accommodate our English language as I had mistakenly booked a Spanish tour (double check what page you are booking on). It was well worth having a tasting to be introduced to the Tempranillo Blanco.

Had a fantastic wine tasting visit here whilst we were staying in Logrono. Vineyard is super convenient to walk to from the centre taking about 15 minutes. Very friendly welcome followed by a wonderfully informative and fun tour around the beautiful facilities. We then tried a great selection of their wines with some lovely meats and cheese that complemented them perfectly. Only downside was as we were travelling with hand luggage only we could just take away the one bottle of their wine to enjoy later. We highly recommend this experience and it's fantastic value. So much so we'll do again when back in Logrono.

We has a tour in English by Yaiza. You will need to be sufficiently mobile to climb up the several flights of stairs and a spiral one to reach the lovely viewing and tasting room which was prepared for our tour for the two of us with cheese and hams. Yaiza gave us the history of the vineyard, the family, grape varieties, and the reason for the collection of vines as you enter the Bodega, which is to protect the vine species, some of which are rare, if a vine disease, including phylloxera, invades their main growth of vines. All the vines are organically grown and treated and we were given the opportunity to taste the tempranillo blanco which we had never tested before and was a real treat. The characteristics of each grape were exactly explained by Yaiza and the food to wine matching and comparisons. A very good tasting explained with efficiency and knowledge. We asked to see the barrel room, which was smaller than the five others we have seen, but was because they are a small vineyard and they don't export. I think that their annual production is 600k, which is relatively small. The wines are superb, and we bought a case if mixed six. Thanks Yaiza for a very good tour and your knowledge of the wines.

At first, I first slightly overwhelmed by the good will and welcoming attitude of the community. We all had dinner and breakfast together (well, breakfast time was a bit more flexible) and they also offered us the chance to take part in the Eucharist. However, the best part for me was the hospitalero, who helped me greatly with his advice on blisters, as it was the first time I had such big ones. And I would like to thank him publicly for his general advice, that allowed me to carry on with a brighter mood. Thoroughly recommended to stop by.

(Translated by Google) We were visiting Logroño and went to this winery because the architecture really caught our attention, and we were truly pleasantly surprised by the visit. It didn't disappoint at all. The winery is spectacular, the tour is very interesting, and the tasting area is very nice. I have to say that Álvaro (I think his name is) led the tour and tasting for us, and he's truly a professional and a wine connoisseur who's incredible. The tasting was very family-friendly, as there were four of us, and it was a real treat. We'll definitely repeat.

I had an incredible time during the visit, whoever attended us had excellent treatment and for the price it is completely worth it, they give you the option to buy their products which are quite good in quality. The option of learning about a wine production process as such gives great added value to the visit, seeing one of the companies of yesteryear and with a beautiful and complex infrastructure, I really recommend it. (Translated by Google) One of the great wineries in La Rioja. We made a group visit to this fantastic winery and the treatment received was phenomenal. Irene, one of the guides, showed us the facilities and explained the entire winemaking process in a very simple but very educational way. Afterwards we went to a beautiful dining room where the treatment received was very familiar (a very friendly man who served us the table), the typical food of these parts, Riojan style potatoes and vine shoot chops without missing good wine and a wonderful cava. A pleasant visit that is difficult to forget. (Translated by Google) We took the guided tour with wine tasting today, and it was fantastic! The guide, Angela, was delightful and explained the entire winemaking process in a very engaging way as we toured the facilities. The best part is the barrel area, with its hexagonal roofs and 27,000 barrels of 225 liters each. We were told that about 8-10 million bottles are bottled each year. It's a mechanized process, well worth seeing. A visit is highly recommended. There's parking on-site at the winery. Tapas bar
Tex-Mex restaurant
Bar El Mexicano in Logrono is a Mexican-style bar with a vibrant atmosphere and walls adorned with colorful decorations. It offers an extensive selection of tequila, including the adventurous Mezcal tequila. The bar serves delicious Mexican snacks and cocktails, and the staff is known for being friendly and lively. Visitors can enjoy well-made Mexican pinchos that capture the essence of Mexico, along with gluten-free options such as tacos, nachos, and chili con carne.
In a town filled with the 5 same pinchos in every restaurant it was refreshing to find a restaurant with different options. Traveling from the United States I’m no stranger to the concept of cheap Mexican food and this hit the spot perfectly. Also a good option for those traveling with vegetarian families and in need of more than just potatoes and cheese for sustenance.

I first went to this place in August and enjoyed the nachos and the mini margarita. I went back today (in November) and was disappointed to see the margarita was not made fresh. They poured the mixture out of a jug and didn’t mix it properly. We ordered tacos and guacamole nachos. The guacamole was amazing, very tasty, but the tacos were not good at all. A lot of water dripping out, the meat didn’t seem to be good quality and I didn’t even finish them. I’m disappointed because I was so excited to visit again and it was a bit of a let down 😔

(Translated by Google) The worst margarita ever. Because I have not seen it prepared and out of respect for my husband I have not said anything, but I have left him whole, incredible that a margarita has an ice as if it were a glass, they pour the tequila and then the mix in a separate jug, when it is Prepare it at the moment and everything together in a shaker and pour it into a special glass for it and not into a glass as if it were house wine, unfortunate. And the tacos anyway, the pre-cooked dough, not to be returned. It has nothing Mexican.

Eurostars Fuerte Ruavieja is a charming hotel located in a picturesque area, directly on the path of the Camino de Santiago. The hotel boasts a modern update while retaining its historic credentials, with exposed stone walls and plush red velvet in the rooms. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a chic cafe/bar, gym, spa with massage pool, sauna and hammam, and free breakfast.
The best hotel on our 4 week road trip. Location was superb. Secure parking. The room and hotel sensational. Breakfasts were amazing and the service and reception staff were exceptional.
Jan S — Google review
Like many others, I turn to google ratings to direct me to the best choice. In years, we hit great choices 9 out of 10 based on "honest" ratings. This property in the location it is works great. The service rating of 1 star stems from the fact that a 4 star hotel is not only rated based on their physical requirements, personal service, and attention to the guest is very important. We arrived with a car, parked it in a public parking that was the only thing available like 10 minutes away and walked to the hotel. My issue is not that the hotel parking was full it was the way the message was delivered. With no empathy and just " well, if we are full, you just need to find your own parking," there are no services on site. There was no one to offer to help with luggage. I even asked the next day for an iron, and I was again told I had to fo pick it up downstairs. Sorry. That is unacceptable.
Jacqui V — Google review
Nice rooms and location but in general there’s a ‘we just don’t care’ vibe with the staff. From check in to departure I didn’t once arrive at reception to see anyone there. The team just seemed like they couldn’t be bothered at all. Equally the hotel has a general unloved feel about, perfectly nice but just no one really cares. Also no weights in the gym, which makes the gym a little useless. Beautiful town with wonderful people - maybe try to match that. This is NOT four star hotel.
Thomas W — Google review
🚨Great room, but serious concerns about parking and security The hotel itself is beautiful — our room was large, quiet, and very comfortable, with a high ceiling, nice bed, and excellent bathroom. We also paid for a private parking space inside the building, which is not accessible directly from the street. Unfortunately, during our stay, someone attempted to break into our car inside this private garage. We have photos showing the damage. When we informed reception, the only response was that there are no cameras, and they simply apologized. No further help or concern was shown. What also worried us: the reception was unattended at times (including late at night), and the entrance to the building wasn’t well monitored — meaning anyone could walk in and access the interior spaces, including the parking area. We expected a higher level of security and customer care from a hotel in this price range. The room itself was great, but sadly the overall experience was overshadowed by this incident and the way it was handled. In the end, we have to pay to repair our vehicle, and the hotel has offered nothing except a shrug. We regret staying here.
Vladeli V — Google review
A solid four-star hotel spread across four floors in the industrial part of Logroño. The rooms are modern and the mattress comfortable. Half of the rooms offer a limited view so make sure you ask for a main road facing room. The unique feature of the hotel is the dinning area that features sections of the old fort, offering a space full of light and glass ceilings. The service is efficient and proactive. The breakfast included in some rates is average, with a section of fruits, breads, cereal and meats. During my stay the wifi broke down, with the hotel staff offering an alternative option.
