Lovely location away from the centre of town on a Sunday evening and attentive service. A superb Negroni and white wine with excellent Iberica ham and toasted/tomato bread. A really different kind of bar. We will return.

We came to Sunset Jazz Bar on our first afternoon in Girona after landing from London. Emma greeted us with very good margaritas, delicious jamon iberico and a lovely conversation. She gave us recommendations for the best non-touristy beach to go to, and few of the great spots to eat. We came back on our last evening to say thank you and ordered exactly the same as pictured, still 10/10. Our only regret is coming in the summer where we just missed the weekly jazz night on Thursday. We'll be back!

I'm giving it 1 star for the simple fact that you don't know what nights there is live music. The website is a joke. Surely there should be an option to read it in English 🙄

Wonderful place! Friendly, welcoming and very accommodating staff. Delicious cocktails and very good natural wines. The musical agenda is great. Girona is very lucky to have such an incredible place.

I really enjoyed this place when going for a jazz concert. I thought there was a great atmosphere, the service was great and the cocktails were amazing. I had a couple of amazing gin cocktails (in that giant goblet) and I also had a cava and gin cocktail which was to absolutely incredible. The place looks beautiful, decorated with dark red and stony walls. We sat at the bar after the concert and it was just really nice.

The location is really superb! It is like in a movie! Big plus that it is open till 00:00. But the food was not tasty at all. I ordered fish with peas purée and sweet pancakes with strawberry. Fish was very greasy and almost no spices, and puree was tasting like raw flour…when I asked to add some salad with vegetables without onion (but any kind of vegetables including cucumbers etc) I got a strange plate of peas and carrot with no spices. Pancakes were tasteless too, only strawberries were fine lol. The waitress with black hair (Bushere / Bu) was the only one serving me (she seems to be the only one working here normally) other waiters (around 3 of them) were ignoring me even when I looked at them. I was waiting for any waiter to come for 20 min to take my order… and before I was not given any menu, u had to ask for it. Moreover, another waitress (black woman) was super unpleasant with her behavior, the way how she brought me glass of water and took my dishes was very disrespectful. Additionally, normally you shouldn’t wait in the restaurant too long for waiter to come and ask if you need anything else / or you want to pay. Here I waited forever, no one really came back to me to check. Restaurant doesn’t have English menu. The smell inside the restaurant is not good - a strong smell of detergent like bleach (on tables). I hope this place will reconsider the staff and will make it a good spot for visitors not only because of the location. I expected tasty food how it should be and standard service but instead I got neither of this. Sad.

The terrace and location could not be beaten. The servers were lovely also, translating the Catalan menu, and taking the food back. But the food was underwhelming. I ordered the steak with duck liver pate, medium rare. But it came fully cooked through. I sent it back, and this time there was a little pink on the inside - still not right. The pate was delicate and couldn’t be tasted on the steak. I would avoid this dish.

This place came highly recommended. Food is very competent and service is decent. We each had to order a set and seating on the terrace was not available, which might have been a more of a highlight. All in all no regrets eating here. Great value for money.

The scenery is amazing, service was very good, and the food is such an experience. I would highly recommend to try the “pates” that they have, it was the best I’ve had in Spain

Fantastic menu. A must stop on your walk around Girona. Right in front of a Game of Thrones spot.

We had lunch at this place and were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is very cozy, and although the outside terrace, which is usually picturesque, wasn't available at that time, we were comfortably seated inside. Opting for the daily menu turned out to be an excellent choice. The dishes were exceptional: the pumpkin soup was velvety and delicious, and the grilled meat was simply amazing. For dessert, I ordered cheese with honey, and to my delight, it tasted exactly like the Russian "творог с медом." Overall, it was a great experience!

I am amazed at the quality of food and service as well as the atmosphere. It felt authentic and high-class at the same time. The staff were friendly and the food was very good.

We recently tried La Terra for a late lunch. The view is lovely. The decor of the place is dated yet kind of charming. The server was very nice and they did seem to be short staffed, maybe due to the holiday season. The burgers were fine, we didn’t love the chip crumbs as the side. The desert and coffee were rich and delicious.

After strolling the city walls and the Old Town Booth decided it was beer o'clock. Madge fancied a chocolate cake and a spinach quiche. Sadly the pastry was very soggy. Mary Berry would not approve. The chocolate and raspberry cake was a lot better. Enjoyed the San Miguel. Like the traditional interior. Good views over the river. Good music so stayed for a second beer as The Doors entertained me. ( In Girona why don't they play The Knack? Their 1979 hit!)

I am not going to lie, I visited this place because a scene in the Korean drama "Memories of Alhambra " was filmed here, that said there were no traces of Hyun Bin or the filming... and it did not have the same bathroom as the dram. But that didn't make the visit less charming for a fangirl like me... The service, beer, sandwiches, and nuts were good, too.

One of the best coffee shops I’ve ever visited. The service was warm and genuine, the coffee was excellent, and the space itself felt calm and comfortable. I couldn’t help but smile when I received my coffee. It arrived with a printed note: a thoughtful phrase in Catalan on one side and a piece of philosophy on the other. A beautiful touch that perfectly captured the spirit of the place.

Probably the best specialty coffee shop in Girona. Located in old town. One recommendation, they should write the date of roasting on their bags. Without it, you can’t know if the optimal periode is over. 12€ for 250gr.

Good coffee, elegant space but wish they had wifi. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but you won’t really get sun on the patio. It’s a well known cafe so can get busy! I appreciate the water station, where you can fill your water bottles if needed!

Great Irish bar in down town Girona. Stopped off to watch the Premier League game and had some delicious food also. Great drinks and nice staff.

Whoever is in charge let your servers know that throwing the plastic tray on the table when we were preparing to leave and someone was still at the table with a drink still not finished, it a stupid move and I regret giving the tip.. it was too late sadly. Foff

A really enjoyable evening at McKiernans. Good food and friendly staff

Enjoyed a relaxing few hours at McKiernans in Girona while we watched Man Utd lose to Arsenal. Prices for drinks were higher than average, as per usual with an irish bar, but not extortionate. The kitchen opened at 6.30, we had the OG burger, chicken wings and pulled pork sandwich, all were delicious and prices were fairly reasonable. Bar staff were friendly and attentive. Match commentary wasn't too loud which I enjoyed but apparently soccer fans don't.

Delicious food, definitely way better than I expected. Very good service, although not too fast - the terrace is big and in a very concurred street, so it makes sense you'd have to wait a bit. A bit pricey, mainly the drinks (2'40€ for a bottle of water). Very good experience in general, a bit on the expensive side but it's to be expected of a touristy place like this. Would recommend.

Amazing food, super helpful staff really inviting and well priced food! We came here for tea one evening and enjoyed a nice alcohol free beer too! Highly recoomend the chicken wings!!!

It was my first time in Girona (and Spain) overall. I eventually ended up at this cafe. I spent hours die to the good atmosphere and great staff. Especially Valeria and Dalia are great hosts. I enjoyed a Piña colada and nice Sangria's after that. Had a proper meal as well. A nice way to unwind/relax after arriving from a long day of travelling.

We ordered two beers. After 32 minutes, we still hadn't been served, so we asked the guy who seemed to be the manager where we could get our drinks. He was very arrogant, implying we hadn't ordered anything. When he checked his tablet, he saw that we had. A minute later, he brought us just one beer, rudely, without apologizing or anything.

Service below average when busy, clearly understaffed. No organisation of table assignment - literally grab a table and have no consideration of others who were there first is the rule. Only food option was a menu of the day which I didn’t try. Nice view of the square. Wrong drink served but was rectified quickly.

One of the highlights of our trip to Girona night life wise. Great cocktails, service and live Rumba music. Doesn't get going till late in evening but it's a blast.

We always spend time here while we are in Girona.

We sat down on a whim, and did not regret our decision. The home-made vermouth is an absolute must to taste, the charcuterie tapas were enough for us 2 as a small lunch. When back in Girona, we know where to go!

Nice Place, supposed a flamingo dance place. Awesome city and I bed this is an awesome place since many hotel receptionists recommended to go here, however Wednesday after 11 PM not much action, still loved walking here

We spent two separate nights enjoying Brots De Vi with Adrian. Not only was the food incredible (get the beef tagliata) AND the service was amazing! Absolutely suggest you try the wine bar side and be taken care of by the gems of Girona!

Amazing bistro with quality food and outstanding service! We went there twice - first time just taking a chance in our search for some delicious and healthy breakfast and 2d time cuz Brots de Vi was the only place we found that ticked all the boxes for us on our 1st visit. Their yogurt with granola and fresh fruits was not only scrumptious delicious, but also beautifully presented (see the pic). Cappuccino and croissants were made to perfection and delivered unrivaled taste! But what topped it all off was the service! Our waiter, Dan, made our experience truly exceptional with his welcoming attitude and upbeat vibe! He also offered valuable insights and tips on local tourism, which really enhanced our stay. The next day we locked ourselves out of our hotel room and came to this bistro as it was located really close by. And in a moment of need, the bistro showed remarkable kindness and trust when we had an unexpected situation with our hotel room, they really came through for us. Thank you guys for making our stay in Girona unforgettable! 🙏🏻❤️

An excellent restaurant to enjoy delicious food from starters to desserts, located in the heart of Girona's old town. The service was good throughout-friendly and efficient. Nothing to complain about. Highly recommended!

It's a good restaurant. However I think it's somewhat overpriced. Food was not that good. Well, at least I didn't like my dish. I ordered a roasted duck. It was hard to chew because it was super rare for a duck. I didn't feel any outstanding tastes. Same for a steak which was ordered by my friends. Maybe other dishes are better. Also, I think it's better to order food for sharing at this place. However, they have excellent service. They were super friendly and helpful.

The food was well prepared and the portions were great for sharing. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. In particular, one staff member who was standing in front of the outdoor seating area was disrespectful and very annoying, which ruined the experience for us.

In gerona you have many nice places to go and eat. This restaurant is one of those places. We ate on the terrace. It is really cozy but certainly not noisy. The food was fenomenal. Really so tasty. We didn’t have to wait long for the food to arrive. The sweet potato with carbonara was my favorite. The waitresses were very friendly, pleasant, quick, polite and know well what you want and adapt to your needs. I recommend it. And would go there again. ☺️

We stumbled up this restaurant wandering the streets of Girona. The staff here is amazing. Speak perfect English. We had the salad and tuna tataki. Both amazing. The menu has a great variety of light and hardy food. I would eat here again. The restroom was probably the cleanest I’ve seen in my Spanish travels. I mean, why not mention this, right?!

Simply superb find in the heart of Girona. It’s a high end restaurant with classics roots and a playful and well-honed modern technique throughout. We went for a recent lunch last minute and were thoroughly impressed by every single delicious dish and the staffs superb attention to detail. It was wild mushroom season so they had several specials highlighting the bounty of the area. All were great, but the baby squid was as good as it can possibly be! Wonderful and dense wine list focused on local producers at very reasonable prices . Overall a bit expensive but worth it for a top of the line meal on a very relaxed and professional setting.

A true culinary treat. Well deserved Michelin rating. From start to finish, every bite was an delightful experience. The staff is friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The courses are well portioned and the explosion of flavors continues to excite the pallet with each well crafted plate. The restaurant is well decorated with excellent art that gives a relaxing but sophisticated feel. A meal not soon forgotten.

It’s an unforgettable meal at Massana. 15 beautiful, decadent and refined dishes. Nothing too fuzzy just great local ingredients that a lot of care has been put into. This is old school fine dining in a beautiful setting. The staff is very attentive and the sommelier recommended beautiful wines. Well deserved Michelin star.

Wonderful experience of the tasting menu- visiting solo and was very well looked after, particularly by Edward who gave fantastic education on the (mainly Spanish) wines to accompany the food. Family-run affair and feels all the more special for it. Highly recommended. Chocolate dessert probably the best I have ever eaten and that’s coming from a chocoholic!

What a great discovery in Girona. Recommended by friends and did not disappoint at all. Great combinations of flavors (meatballs with squid for example), marinated mussels gave a new expression of the seafood. Combined with great service, passionated sommelier and good wines made it superbe evening!

I love Michelin 1* restaurants as they have the quality of a Michelin star but tend to experiment more than the higher stated restaurants. Masan’s did not disappoint! We opted for the pris fix menu and the matched wines. Note there were 15 courses and 12 wines and each pour was a full pour. We especially loved that the wines were all Spanish wines and one craft beer. Each course was excellent and both pleading to the eye as well as palate. We are addicted to the green gazpacho and their wonderful foie gras presentation. But the duck was by far the star as it was prepared perfectly and was sliced so thin and the pears made it perfection. Definitely worth the side trip to Girona for this meal and look forward to returning.

We ordered chicken nuggets , 2 burgers and salmon . The burgers were very good for the price . Salmon was okay but the rice wasn't , but the chicken nuggets were terrible when we received we thought it was a compliment and not chicken nuggets because they had 0 chicken in it . Then later we asked where are chicken nuggets and we were told that we already received them . This were probably the worst chicken nuggets that we have tasted in our life . There was no chicken at all ! The service was terrible and we waited for a long time . When asked for a water we received a bottle with a dirty glass . If you don't order chicken nuggets then probably it's not a bad place to eat considering the price but overall we had a pretty bad experience.

The selection on the menu is average. It’s a chain, so what can expect? They do a nice job of elevating the offerings and giving value for money. I sat outside and it was a lovely experience. I’m not rushing back, but I did eat at another Konig, and wasn’t disappointed. A solid choice if you want yummy standard fare.

Located in a busy tourist area with a nice relaxing outdoor patio. The menu is extensive and is very affordable. They could have upcharged with the location. The ham croquette is very good and I preferred it over the scallop and squid croquette. Crunchy on the outside and goeey on the inside. The hamburger here uses a fresh bread roll. I would recommend to get one that has toppings as the patty itself isn't flavorful and lacked seasoning. For the price, it's good enough to eat and enjoy the scenery.

We ordered 2 glasses of sangria and they didn’t inform us they have just 1/2 l and 1 l. So they brought us 2 jugs and we had to pay for both of them. The staff is not nice at all. Definitely it is a tourist trap with service way below average!

Good variety of food and fairly good on the quality side. Ideal for a quick stop or a long lunch, watching the world go by on the terrace. Lots of choices and there’s something to suit any appetite or craving, and on top they have some good choices for the drinks, including local ales. Pricing is fair and you won’t find a big meal too expensive at all. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, although turn up outside of peak hours as it’s popular with local and tourist alike!

Cod omelette was surprisingly tasty. They have lots of meat options but limited vegetarian or fish tapas (the ones they have are nice but a bit oily). Loved their bread, very soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Nice staff too and cozy atmosphere. Would recommend to share dishes with more than 2 people as the portions are quite big.

A simple and quite rustic place that opens at 7 PM. The pintxos are creative, tasty, and also have a bit of a rustic feel. The atmosphere is relaxed and very pleasant. I ordered a beer, and the idea of a “small beer” got a whole new meaning – it was really small :-))) Overall, I was very happy, but I have to admit I expected a little bit more. But that’s more about my expectations than the actual quality of the food

We were in girona for a few days and walked past this place a couple of times and it looked great so we decided to go for our last night before leaving girona. It was was gorgeous and felt welcoming and as we had not eaten this style of food before the man working at the bar was lovely and explained everything to us. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious and it was fun watching the new plates as they came out of the kitchen. Everything looked and tasted fresh and we thought the combinations were creative and worked perfectly. It is such a fun concept and the place had a very friendly vibe, all the staff were lovely and it felt warm and very relaxed which is just what we wanted. Definitely a highlight of our trip and I wish them much success and will be recommending them if I know anyone coming to Girona!

I have never posted a 1 star review before, but after last night's experience I feel I must. This place used to be great. Great food, friendly service, cool vibe. We had been here a couple of times since the new ownership took over and thought deterioration of quality of food and service was down to getting the place up and running, but clearly it is getting worse instead of better. We (party of 2), came in, were seated and given menus and then ...nothing. Waiters took orders at other tables, served drinks and food to other parties, but never even came to take our drink order. After 20 minutes of trying to get someone to take our drink order we got up and left. As we were leaving, suddenly they all appeared and wanted to know what was wrong. Obviously, since we were never served my comments about the food aren't based on last night's experience, but on the last time we were there, about a month ago, when we both commented that the food was OK, but not as good as it used to be. Less variety on the menu, and not as well executed as before. This used to be a place we always took visitors... it's a real shame it has changed for the worse.

Change of ownership did not diminish the quality of food we expected and received. We visited as a couple from England on Sunday lunchtime & Tuesday evening. The owner told us that it was a “soft opening” until the kitchen became more established (& then would include à la carte). Pinxas & nice wine satisfied our requirements with a good choice of flavours on tasty bread bites. We enjoyed both red rioja & dry white wine. You need only choose the flavours that suit, the cocktail sticks are counted & you pay accordingly. 4 glasses of wine & 10 pinxas: €40.40. molt bé!

Great little place for Pintxos, grab some from the bar and save your sticks, $2 per stick it seemed, they also do a small selection of tapas you can order from a menu, great selection of nibbles.

Lively Basque themed bar. Nice selection of Pintxos. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. I'll keep going back. Edit to add: The hours listed on Google don’t seem to match the actual hours.

Wasn’t a fan of the vermouth and the olive spread. Also didn’t know the mussels would be tinned so be aware! Patatas Bravas wasn’t great either. I wouldn’t go back but the location was ideal. Also the service was great!

Place and atmosphere is perfect. Waitress was so nice and kind! We loved the food and cocktails were really nice! It’s not expensive even tho it’s in Girona old city next to cathedral.

Great place with a view of the Church of St. Felix - especially beautiful in the evening. The vermouth is just wonderful, it is very pleasant and calm to sit here. Magical atmosphere.

We ate "river hamburger", "bocata pepito" and "patatas bravas". Everything was extremely delicious and we were more than happy with the ambient and such a welcoming and nice staff! Location is great and the terrace is huge. I will definitely be back and I will recommend this place to everyone who will travel to Girona. 🥰

Just stopped in for a quick drink. Such a cute place, perfect attentive service and I CANNOT stop thinking about the anchovy stuffed olives- we had to order them all over again because they were so good. Will definitely be back.

The blonde women was quite rude, she didn’t try to communicate and had a very unpleasant attitude. She even gave me a completely different drink than I had ordered. The young man on the otherhand, he was kind a did speak English. Also tried to joke a little bit. Just sad that I asked for a café but I only got a tiramisu .. the sausage with goat cheese was great tho ! Go there for the food, not the service 🤷‍♂️

A must in Girona if you enjoy Asian/Japanese kitchen. Everything we had from the daily menu was delicious, including the soups, curry and sushi options. Wonderful staff serving, you will feel spoiled for sure.

Delicious food and a very cosy atmosphere. Service is great as well! The only thing we found not so amazing was the dessert of the Mediodia menu. Still 5 stars for everything else!

High end Japanese restaurant. Great menu midweek for 25€ (starter + main + dessert + tea or water + coffee). Would be great if wine or beer were included in the menu, but they aren’t. Some of the staff were great, but one hostess was either having a bad day or much less friendly. The quality of the sushi and food was fantastic. Portions were of perfect size. Interestingly they do not have any vegan milk options for coffee (simple improvement to add some). Recommendable overall!!

Made a reservation for Saturday night which was very easy. Chose to eat indoors as it was summer. Menu is limited but looked very interesting. A good list of wines available by the glass as well. Told them I had a gluten allergy and they made sure that the dishes i ordered were ok. They even produced a gluten free bread option for our sobrasada dish. For a decent size restaurant, service is a little slow but attentive. We ordered 3 dishes to share between 2 of us with an extra dessert recommended by the staff; along with a dessert wine that complimented it perfectly. If you can appreciate great and delicious food, and have no where to be urgently this is a great restaurant to dine in. Fresh food, a good choice of wines and but attentive service. A definite must try in Girona.

If you want an evening of excellent food and superb wine, this is your destination. We sat outside on a balmy evening. I described the wine I like to drink and was offered two perfect choices. The menu was interesting and our choices delicious. Highly recommend for a delightful night out.

Definitely the best bar in Girona! The Manhattan was perfection, and we were blown away by an exclusive off-menu cocktail, the "Black Royal," based on mezcal -absolutely incredible. The atmosphere is stunning, with a stylish steampunk vibe mixed with classic art deco details. A special shoutout to the amazing bartender, German from Belarus, for making our night unforgettable. Overall, a solid 5/5!

Such a great spot that we randomly came by in Girona. The drinks were amazing, the best cocktails we've ever had. The staff have such passion for their work and it shows. Everyone was so helpful and so nice, my partner described what she liked and they made a cocktail specifically and for her and she loved it.

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Mariona, and she made our visit unforgettable. Not only is she incredibly talented at her craft, but she is also one of the friendliest and most genuine bartenders we’ve ever met. We told her exactly the type of cocktail we were craving, and her craft-master skills whipped it up perfectly—easily one of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. On top of that, we ordered a cheese plate, and Mariona took the time to explain the exact order to enjoy the cheeses in. Her knowledge and attention to detail elevated the entire experience. And the olives—absolutely to die for! We traveled all the way from the United States, and NYKTERI’S was a must-visit on our list after seeing it on Instagram. It did not disappoint. Between the atmosphere, the food, the cocktails, and the warm welcome from Mariona, this spot is a true gem.

As visitors from the United States, we never expected to find the best bar we’ve ever been to right here in Girona. From the moment we sat down, Mariona Vilanova — the friendly and talented owner — greeted us personally. We didn’t even bother looking at the menu; we gave her a few ideas and she craft-mastered the cocktails better than we could have imagined. Between her hospitality, skill, and the unbelievable drinks, NYKTERI’S is an absolute must-visit in Girona.

Was already planning to visit this restaurant a couple of days and finally managed to visit it the last day of my stay. And what a surprise. Excellent atmosphere, very friendly staff, price/quality very good and the interior!!! Really, if you do not want to go for the excellent grill, go and check all the details in the restaurant. You will be surprised. See the pictures I took. This place is full of surprises. Visited about 12 restaurants but only writing if it is really good or bad. This one is really good, alternative, rock music, you can be your own bartender etc. To conclude, full of surprises so just check it out. You will not be disappointed.

the unique selling point of this location, as "el doll", which made it possibly the best bar in girona, was the self service beer taps. they are still at the tables, but we are told they are now "only decorative". this is a huge shame and i would encourage the owner to put them back into service. otherwise this is now just another bar and we have no reason to come here instead of any other in the town.

Great shaded location. Sangria is on the weaker side. Very busy so you’ll have to just get lucky with a table. Service was okay and friendly enough.

Nice location on the way up to cathedral, with comfortable outdoor seating under shady trees. The food was good, but we had to wait one hour to eat. The problem didn't lay on the waiters, who came at once to take our order, but on the kitchen which needed such amount of time to prepare a hamburger and canneloni

Had a lovely lunch here in the sun. Was one of the better Caesar salads I’ve had. Sangria a bit weak but staff are lovely. I’ve marked it down because of the bloody pigeons which land on the tables and chairs trying to steal food. Not hygienic at all.

Great location, nice atmosphere, good drinks. Seemed to be understaffed, service was not great... Food tasted like it had been frozen and reheated, super unimpressed. Would recommend for drinks only, I’m sure there’s way nicer places to eat in the area.

The place itself looks cool and comfy. They have a garden inside. You can enjoy the designs and decorations. However, the service was very slow and they keep forgetting or at least they took a very long time to give what you requested for. The quality of the food did not meet my expectations for the price of 19,50€ (menu). The dessert (carrot cake) was awfully dry. There is no Wi-Fi inside and the signal is very low so we were not able to connect to the internet while waiting for the food to be served.

I have been several times in El Forn very close to the city centre of Girona. My experiences always have been excellent. Catalan cuisine, lovely service and a pleasant atmosphere. We could say it is a tapas place with good traditional dishes and delicious vegetarian options. 100% recommendable for people who want to experience a cultural and real experience in Girona!

Highly recommended. There is a selection of tapas and the selection of wine is both classic and new. The craft beer is excellent. Showcasing the classics and some new age wines. We were made very welcome. Back street vibes, warm environment and you can jump striaght in. Very, very happy with the experience and the stories from my visits.

My glass still had someone else's lipstick on it and when replaced it was still dirty and didn't match my partners (when you pay 20 for a bottle it seems the least you need to do) also the tapas was good but one dish of four was forgotten. Stools are uncomfortable and tables cheap. A 4.8 rating wasn't my experience but the staff are friendly and overall it was ok.

Really nice place to have a beer and some tapas. We ordered a lot but everything came quickly and was very nice, would recommend the squid or mushroom croquettes those were lovely. Owner (or staff) was very kind too. They played funky music but it fit the vibe of the place.

We accidentally sat at the wrong restaurant as the tables are in the same square as another restaurant opposite the square but the server was very kind and ushered us to bestia’s table. The server in bestia was so nice, spoke great English and gave good advice for the order of our food. Told us we may be ordering too much and gave us an option for the crystal bread and tomato which was an excellent suggestion. He was very efficient and friendly. He was almost running the place himself with a smile and helpful to everyone. As much as we enjoyed the service, we also enjoyed the food very much. Super creative dishes with great pairing of ingredients. My taste buds were dancing at the end of the night. Super recommended

Nearly hidden, it’s a gem. Changing menu and always effort. Wasn’t a fan of the calabaza lasagna but the leeks and bursts was amazing. They had a warmed cucumber dish last time and it blew my mind. Wines are ok - menu easy to choose (not huge).

La Garrina Natural Wine Restaurant in Girona is located in the historic center. There is a large terrace outside and a few small tables inside. As well as serving natural wines, beer and cocktails, La Garrina also serves food. The nachos are filling - beans, cheese, chips… delicious. There is a large record collection and a good play list playing in the background. Great place to stop in for a drink or else to stay for awhile. Highly recommend

Great wine, food and atmosphere to spend your end of day. We booked a table for two and could enjoy a few wines and great vegan food. Yes, they have vegan options of cheese and super tasteful olives, huge freshly made empanada, tomato bread.. everything very well made. Their own production of orange wine is a must try. The service can be a bit slow because they have so many people, but really worthy the wait. Thank you!

The wine is great, the service excellent. But the food, I do not know. We ordered nachos that were called "spicy". I believe there is a huge difference between spicy (that me and my husband like) and spicy as hell, painful to eat. After that dish everything tastes like nothing, even wine. It should be clearly stated at the menu, cause I am really worried about my stomach now.

After a few drinks next door Boothroyd and Madge staggered all of 10 meters to this lovely bar. Another small interior space with more tables outside. Enjoyed wine, vermouth and (craft) beer on our visit.

I had the oxtail which was disappointing. Tasteless and not tender. What was even more disappointing was the pricing and billing. On the menu, inside and outside the oxtail was listed as €15.95, and tomato bread €3.50. When the bill arrived these items were listed as €17.50 and €3.85 respectively. I didn't pick up the error on the tomato bread until afterwards but queried the oxtail. Waitrons response was that prices are different between inside and outside. She said this was specified on the menu outside. I clarified that she had given me a menu inside and the price was €15.95. I ordered on that basis. Of all the years of dining around the world I have never encountered a different price inside vs outside especially when the menus are the same, in and out. This seems like an opportunistic rip off of a tourist with a really weak response when the error was detected.

Girona is full of night bars and pubs, most of them cater to the 'posh' public in the city, with elevated prices and questionable admittance policies. Cu-cut is not one of those places, it's one of the last 'traditional' pubs remaining. You'll find mostly a local crowd, students, residents, workers...enjoying their time. They have a good selection of beers and liquors and the prices are not too high. It can get a bit noisy. If you want to have a drink with a cheerful crowd is one of the best options in the historical center of the city.

Nice experience with watching the semifinals of the World Cup here. Good beer for a good price and the service is quick and kind. Only recommendation is that it would be nice to be able to reserve tables in person, because if someone is already there, why should they text a number. But overall recommend!

Really great billiard place, really friendly, me and my Erasmus friends love to go there. The place is cheap, I don't recommend the wine, but the feeling of the place is nice. I recommend a try for those, who like to play billiard. P.S. better to have some coins for the billiard, right now it's 1€ for one play.

Ok this is not a sports bar in our terms. It's a sports bar because they have a pool table. I asked for the golf (US Open) to be put on but she didn't know what that was and put on the women's world cup and gave me a thumbs up. Big bar but closes early. Not for me I'm afraid

I messaged the Bar a week before to see if they were going to be showing the England v Croatia football match on their TV. I got a swift reply saying that they would, how many people would be coming etc. When we arrived the staff were really helpful, so apart from the result a great night was had by all.

Great combination of selected wine, good beer, excellent books, enjoyable music and art exhibitions. The staff is really kind and helpful. They organize concerts, jam sessions, cultural meetings and book presentations. If you like good food, art and culture, this is the place to go!

This place looked beautiful from the outside and they had a nice enough menu. I got a wine and my friend got cava and it was reasonably priced. We ordered a small taster menu of cheese and meet to keep us going but it took ages to arrive and we had to move to the bar because the main tables were for substantial food orders. It was nice overall but I felt the service was not the best.

We were a bit of a regular while we were on holiday there and everyone was nice and the food was lovely but got spoilt on the last day when a member of staff told my girlfriend off for putting her feet on the stool. We were quite exhausted after walking round the city and we did put a t-shirt under so not to cause a mess. Not that there would be anyway. All this felt really strange as one of the bartender's looked proper scruffy with grubby trousers and a vest. Shame that our otherwise nice experience at this pub got spoilt by poor service.

Slightly long wait for the drinks once ordered but the quality of cocktails were 100% worth it, and I'm pretty sure it was their second night of opening after lockdown at the time and I understand the rustiness so all is forgiven! The staff know their stuff and were very friendly. Cozy and classy vibes. I can recommend the Yucatan and the Walking Dead cocktails from my experience.

Lovely restaurant, tucked away in a small lane but well worth it when you find it. Fantastic tapas with a different twist to the usual tapas, great wine too. Really friendly & helpful staff. Highly recommend this restaurant with a great ambience.

The food is good, done properly, but lacks an intense flavor, which drives you to order the same dish a second and third time or that forces you to remember that dish for two or three days (how it should be); there is a lot of education in food but also a lot of shyness in the flavors. Cute restaurant. Clean bathrooms. Excellent customer service.

Had an amazing lunch here! It’s a little hard to find and at least on a quiet weekday in January seemed like it was closed. My favorite thing was the duck dumpling with poma pruna and it was so heavenly I ordered more. Also got canelo, txipironets, magret tximitxurri, espatlla xai ginebro poma, and the mother’s cheesecake. Marc was such a nice server and our entire lunch with wine was less than €40. Amazing value for a charming lunch.

Great atmosphere, perfect service! Food was a tasty experience. My favorite was Jerusalem artichoke skewer; my partner loved the mussels. Portions were rather small, so you probably should aim to order at least 5/6 plates to feel full - which was advised to us before ordering. I really appreciate that every dish was provided on a matching plate. The menu is not overwhelmingly long, but it varies enough to be greatly surprised with every dish; the flavors were all different and unique.

Top top top! Could it be that the best meal in Spain is cooked by just one woman chef and served by one guy/sommelier? This is out there. Amazing food. We ordered the whole menu. Super cool spot with a great vibe and beautifully presented dishes. The place definitely nails the aesthetics. But when it comes to taste, it just didn’t live up to the visuals. Everything looked better than it tasted. Not bad, just very average. Worth a visit for the atmosphere, but don’t expect to be blown away by the food.

Truly outstanding food, the flavours were excellent and the service was great. The people work very hard and the chef stayed incredibly calm and focussed and produced some incredible food. Standout dishes were scallops, tongue and pork belly. Outstanding food and great local wines, superb value for money given the quality of the food.

Safo absolutely blew me away—every single bite was an explosion of flavour and creativity. Highlights? The broqueta de llengua de vedella brasa with pico de gallo (grilled beef tongue!), the stewed salt cod tripe with grilled maitake and blood orange— totally unexpected. Beef cheek with pickled mussels and bean + onion tacos, cod belly carpaccio with citrus and cod liver with peas and bread crumbs... what can I say, I loved every dish! Not so crazy, but seriously insane, the chocolate ganache with bread crumbs, olive oil, and salt. A quiet revelation. Add in natural wines and the warmth of the loveliest couple running the place, and Safo becomes more than just a meal—it’s a memory. I found myself back there more than once (okay, twice in a week). If you’re in Girona, just go to Safo. It’s magic.

Had the most amazing meal here yesterday! The food was incredible. Had the scallops, shish, quail, Pak choi, oyster mushrooms, mussels and a delicious panna cotta. Owner was lovely and his partner, the chef. All of the dishes were unbelievable. Best find! Couldn't recommend enough and we live in a very foodie place.

We ordered 7 plates, 3 glasses of wine, and 1 non-alcoholic beer and every single one of them was a hit. Service was impeccable. Favorite restaurant in Girona. Grateful they are here! Do not miss!

Great experience. Drinks are not outlandishly priced—standard for a club. Service was very good and the bouncer was very friendly, even though I didn't speak Spanish or Catalan—he did his job well and let me back in after I stepped outside with my friends and had a cigarette, and even engaged in some conversation with us. My only two small complaints were that the DJing was a little erratic: the song choice was great, but the DJ would change songs a little too frequently, sometimes even only playing a verse and a chorus of one song before switching to the next on the queue. Additionally some of the transitions were not subtle in the slightest and the tempo and key changes stood out sometimes. The other small complaint is that it took a while to build the energy up. I arrived an hour after the club opened, when it was already 1am, but the club was not lively until after 3am. Perhaps this is normal in Spain and Catalonia. Other than the above, the experience was very good. The song choice itself was solid, with hits ranging from the last 25 years mostly to the latest releases. Bartenders and staff knew what they were doing and were efficient in any servings and clean-ups, and there were many young people dancing energetically.

They are so rude. Bodyguards are so so rude. They treat as an animal. They do not let me go outside to get some fresh air and yesterday they punched my friend in the face for asking why dont you let me out. Do not waste your money for them. You will not have a good night.
