A restaurant that feeds a lot of locals around here. Parking is quite limited during lunchtime. The food is nice and decent. The Steamed Grouper is slightly fishy for me. The Vinegar Pork Leg is nice, but wish there is more meat. The Stir Fried Potato Leaves is nice, full of wok hey. The price is the star here. It costs only RM85 for all these, and also rice and tea as well. Which is a good deal for me. Would come again to try their Herbal Chicken for sure.

Recommended by our hotel for Chinese seafood. Went there on our 2nd day and the food was great! Generous with their food portions and price is very reasonable. Saw many locals having their meals there so will be good to go earlier to beat the dinner crowd that seemed to start from 6.30pm. Will visit again when in Kuantan!

All food order is delicious. The price is very reasonable. Begger chicken is finish when we reach in 730pm. So better come early or do booking.

Local zi char . Speciality herbal chicken , special sauce prawns . Only 2 of us so didn't order much. But the herbal chicken is enough for 3-4 person. Price average . Parking space limited. Advice call to reserve the herbal chicken if you wanna try. Other dishes can order at site. Friendly local uncle and aunties serving. Chef also local . Will come out and ask how is the food at times.

We came just before 6pm on a Sunday and the restaurant is slmost full. We came to try their famous bugger chicken but a tad disappointed. It is more of an "emperor chicken" aka herbal chicken profile in my thoughts. Taste of the gravey/soup is quite good and flavourful, but the chicken is quite tasteless and mushy. We tried a stirred-fry sweet potato leaves and a salted fish fried rice. Both are average. Lots of flies around but not an issue to us. Not a memorable one, but the service crew are fast, warmth and helpful. Good service.

We came here 2 days in a row for dinner. Love the dishes. Dishes that we have tried:- - Steamed tilapia. Fish was fresh, no fishy taste. - vegetables Nai Pak. Cooked to perfect crunchy texture - Salted egg crab. Crab was fresh, and the flesh was good. Meaty and succulent, with hint of sweetness - Kam Heong lala. Tasty, fragrant kam heong flavour with a hint of spiciness. Lala a little on the slim side, prefer a bit more bite to it, but overall still good for us as the flavour made up for it - sweet and sour chicken. Love this too. Texture of chicken meat was succulent and tender even though it was breast meat. Sweet and sour sauce was perfect for our taste buds We would gladly come here again for the 3rd night 😄

Came on a Friday night — the place was full. Had to wait around 10 minutes, which wasn’t too long. You can browse the menu while waiting. They have a few food options — from Western dishes, steamboat, Thai cuisine, Malay-style fried rice, and a few others I can’t recall. The prices aren’t too high like in high-end restaurants..still acceptable (based on the menu, not the taste yet). So my comments will be based only on the dishes I tried: Tomyam - just okay. The taste is there, cuma agak cair sedikit buatkan kita perlu mencari rasa supaya sampai. Banyak slices of oyster mushrooms, 3 ekor udang (1 dah tak fresh, lembik sangat), isi ayam beberapa ketul. Tomyam kuat rasa udang, which is good tapi rasa manis masam tomyam kurang. Lamb chop - pricewise, okay lah since ada 2 slices of chopped meat kan but look at the black pepper sauce 🫣 Bila cicah, agak berketul macam terlebih tepung jagung, tak runny macam it’s supposed to be. Tastewise pula, lamb is good, i like it plain sebab boleh rasa manis daging. Daging pun okay, walaupun sedikit liat. Cuma sos tu terlalu masin. Harap boleh improve rasa dan texture sos. Nasi goreng kambing - a normal nasi goreng, ada wok taste dan aroma lamb, cuma agak manis. Sambal pun agak manis, jadi bila combine, kena mencari savory taste tu. Tapi ketulan daging banyak, dan lembut. Bagus. Overall, it was below my expectations. I love trying new cafes, especially after reading good reviews. Maybe I came at the wrong time, so things were a bit chaotic. But the waiter was very nice and accommodating, and all the staff were friendly. That left a good impression on customers. And not to forget, the guard was really helpful, greeted us warmly and assisted with parking. I hope the food improves next time. It could definitely be better. If the food were good, people wouldn’t mind the loud music, the long queue, or the stuffy atmosphere. All the best to the team!

I came with a bit expectations as it was suggested by my friend back in 2022. We just arrived from KL and was to tired to order the steamboat. So we order the individual menu. Below are our reviews for the food lamb fried rice - a bit bland for me. The rice and lamb was cook seperately and only be combined at the end for consumption. The lamb taste is not as strong as I would like to. Even the side chillies can revive the kick that is needed for this dish. This dish came so fast that I believe they just combine and reheat the dish. Deep fried chicken chop - the chicken was battered with eggs and not regular fried chicken battered. The chicken is well cooked. However, I would say the battered use is very mild and don't have enough spice. So it just feel like eating the fried chicken coated with eggs. This dish was cooked per order so it came piping hot. Pandan cooler drink - this drink is refreshing. I recommend to try this drink when you come here. Mango cheesecake - I have tried this at kula Cakes. They serves it chilled so it feels like eating ice at first. But it slowly melt and it was enjoyable experience. Overall vibe of this place is pleasant and nice. They have a lot of workers. However they tend to flock together and chatting instead of attend to the guest. I need to request them to send the cheesecake after the main meal finished. Even though we already finished our main meals almost 10 minutes and the girl who take our order is busy chatting instead of sending the cake. Overall it's a nice experience with room for improvement on the taste and services. Unfortunately I will not be coming back again.

We hosted a gathering of 40 pax here, and the manager, Zamri, was incredibly accommodating to all our requests. Their steamboat spread is perfect for groups this size—generous, hearty, and crowd-pleasing. We’ve dined here multiple times, and each visit has been met with warm smiles and attentive service. Great place for a casual meal! The food was good, and the portion sizes were just right. I also really liked the laid-back atmosphere — perfect for hanging out with family or friends. If I had to nitpick, I’d say your Swedish meatball was a bit too hard & bland. I did enjoy the sides of broccoli & fries tho But overall it was a really satisfying experience. Would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for good food in a relaxed setting.

Great Food, Great Environment. Alway visit this place when i visit Kuantan. Panda Cooler is a must try refresher drink. Tomyum is slightly mild in taste but over taste is good. Prawn fried rice is good. They can custom without chili for kids.

Hi. This is my second time after decades. I came to introduce this restaurant to my partner but , it is dissappointing to taste a salty prawn fried rice. So we returned it asking for a replacement. Im happy that they are okay to replace the fried rice, but it replaces with strong taste of pepper (lada sulah/hitam) and just not consumable. Ice black and Hot coffee are okay, nothing special. I guess if you want to dine here, Go for the steamboat. If you are adventurous eater and want to try their menu, please dont do that, dont want you to get dissappointed as i did. I would not recommend it. Service i gave 2 stars because the workers are not attentive, to their customers. Had to call them loudly after 3 attempts even they (waitresses) sit at a table in a group very close to our table. Its just doesn’t sit right with me that while sitting in the group they glanced at customer and talk amongst them. I had to ask them if they are talking about us after we made our order. Anyways. Please take this feedback as a room for improvement. Tq

Possibly the best cendol we had so far. Balanced taste, not too sweet. The green thingy is spongy and not overly frozen. Just that lately, it seem that the ice melted easily. ABC was not bad, too. Foods wise, not many choices. Mostly were Malaysian kuih and simple nasi lemak. More spaces for seats available now with the upstairs area. Services were good and fast. Prices were affordable.

Great food and fast service. I had the nasi lemak and cendol campur during the afternoon which was magnificent. The sambal nasi lemak was decently spicy and the cendol complemented it especially with the hot weather. The ingredients in the cendol was quite a lot (a full bowl). There were many customers around as it was a top rated restaurant in Kuantan and during peak hours. There were other kuih muih like karipap and pulut udang available at the counter. Customers would need to order at the counter and make payment immediately after ordering. Price-wise, most of it was extremely cheap.

Cendol Air Putih is definitely one of the must-visit street food spots in Kuantan. We tried the cendol campur— the taste was quite unique compared to other states, with a slightly salty twist that surprisingly works well. I believe the pulut cendol might be even better, though we didn’t get to try it this time. As for the other food, the pulut panggang and nasi lemak were quite standard, but the temosa stood out — the filling was different from what you usually get elsewhere, which made it worth trying. The only downside is the layout of the place — it’s a bit messy and can be confusing for outsiders when it comes to ordering and picking up food. There’s actually more seating on the second floor, but parking can be quite difficult. Still, it's a good local experience if you're in Kuantan!

The BEST cendol. No colouring in it's cendol, soft and nice. The two guys who was doing the cendol were friendly. Pity them, only two guys serving the whole lot of business. I will return!

The cendol was nice, though I expected more given its reputation. Personally, I prefer Mustafa Cendol, but of course, that depends on individual taste. The queue was quite long but moved quickly thanks to the efficient counter team. Seating is available both downstairs and upstairs. There’s no air-conditioning, but the setup is still comfortable for enjoying a bowl of cendol.

Dropped by this place on a hot day to quench our thirst. We decided to come here after seeing its highly-rated reviews on Google. Definitely a local favourite and we can see why after tasting their cendol. Delicious, rich in flavour and not so sweet, generous portion of ingredients and reasonable price. We ordered Cendol Campur (with red beans and corn), Cendol Campur with Pulut, Temosa (currypuff with fish, coconut, and spices) and a normal currypuff. Crowded place, so seatings are a bit hard to get. We managed to secure a table nearby the counter but there are seats available upstairs as well. My only personal comment would be about the ratio of the cendol soup and the ingredients. They're unbalanced. I know that they're being generous with the ingredients but it's too much with one mouthful. You get quickly full but still thirsty. Overall, a decent place and recommended to try.

Good experience for grilled fish right next to our hotel. The seafood is very fresh. But the spices used on the grilled fish is too overwhelming with too little petai. First time experience eating the petai with the skin on it!

3rd visit here. The service has not gotten any better. Food came late, and to make things worst, wrong order. Spoilt our mood & appetite since we were craving for their ikan bakar. Parking is still quite a challenge here, u might have to park by the side of the road which is not well lit.

We went on Thursday and believe not such a big crowd so seafood lesser and not the freshest! Prawns are farmed & they removed the heads already on the raw table for sale. So perhaps not so fresh. We skipped that. Grouper was v good and fresh with bakar sambal petai! V tasty! 665g xRM7. 50 =Rm49👍 Squid was disappointing as came battered deep fried flour (we don't like salted egg) n felt like tasteless fried rubber bands. We should have just bakar. Kangkong was v good! Crowd startedstreaming in at 8pm!

The grilled fish with petai was tasty, but unfortunately it arrived last, much later than the other dishes. We had to pack it and eat at the hotel because of the delay. The tom yum was just okay, the omelette was too oily, and the spoon provided was quite dirty. The most disappointing part was the service at the counter. When we arrived, there was no greeting or smile — the cashier just said “129” bluntly. When we asked for a receipt, she looked annoyed and just threw it at us. Even when we said thank you, she didn’t respond at all. We came all the way from KL, but being treated this way was really disappointing. Probably won’t come back if the service stays like this.

Although we had problems with our orders (they came ridiculously late), the food was excellent. Ikan bakar and steam, sotong goreng salted egg, kailan ikan masin and sata were all very tasty.

This Chinese restaurant is a great place for breakfast. They serve Soup Mee, Curry Mee and Ketchup Mer — all pork-free. The taste is good and the portion is just right. They also have many drinks to choose from, including teh tarik, kopi, and etc. Service is fast, the place is clean, and the prices are reasonable. Perfect for a quick, tasty, and halal-friendly breakfast.

As a malay that love Chinese food this place one of my favourite, its my first time and i love it. At first the curry mee (bihun) taste something missing then i saw some condiments on the table, i try put 1 teaspoon which i assume the sambal and it goes mind blown and with that i now know why this OG Chinese small restaurant still serves their food till now. Aunty so friendly with big smiles despite being so busy serving and taking orders. The reviews was so sad, maybe they dont use the condiments provided saying overated, logically the price per bowl below rm10 and serves a big portions with full toppings. About drinks just a standard which dont care enough about it, its not bad price was okay la if you understand logic of current economy. About environment you cant aspect too much its old but pass standard cleanliness if you go back kitchen, theres hidden tables at the back

Humble little coffee shop. The curry laksa was ok . Not over powering taste and spiciness. They have soup noodles too. The staff here are friendly and helpful. Since it is near the tourist attraction of teluk cempedak and hyatt hotel. Maybe a good place to try local street food.

Authentic feel at the restaurant. Hard to come by nowadays. We are the 1st customer of the day, visiting right after 7am. Warm welcome by the owner. Not those thick, santan, curry. Lighter but doesn't loose the spiciness. Can request for extra paste if need further boost. Fresh ingredients. We enjoy our morning breakfast there apart from the sweat after eating curry.

Simple but nice Curry mee. Just order and you will like it. The inside of the kopitiam is hot. You should sit outside. Curry mee is not so spicy, but the curry sauce is very fragrant. Coupled with kopi or teh and that makes it a fulfilling lunch. The curry mee does have a lot of ingredients. Sedap!👏👏👏

This was my first visit, but for other members of my family, it was their 2nd or 3rd visit over the past few years. When we arrived, there was a large group dining as part of a Christmas celebration. After being seated, we were neither greeted nor given a menu. I eventually had to go to the counter to collect the menu myself. Shortly after that, the staff noticed me and promptly served us bread. We ordered a salad, three pasta dishes, and one salmon dish. It took about an hour for the food to arrive. Overall, the experience was just okay—nothing special or memorable. Personally, I feel that the price increase is not justified given the portion size and the ingredients in the salad and pasta. With this price, it’s better to dine in a mall or hotel for buffet. Suggestions for Improvement: 1. Manage Walk-Ins During Busy Times When hosting large group dinners, consider limiting walk-in customers to prevent service delays and long wait times due to understaffing. 2. Enhance Dining Presentation For the price being charged, provide a more refined setup, such as tablecloths, and have the staff arrange the cutlery for customers. 3. Address Long Wait Times Proactively Instead of simply apologizing for the one-hour wait, take action to improve the experience. Offer drinking water, refill the bread, or provide a small sharing dessert. These gestures would leave a more positive impression on customers.

Overall, the atmosphere is very nice for a catch up with friends. Food was quite ok. The service was good. We commented one of the dishes, mussels being cooked too salty. The owner immediately rectified the issue with the chef and recooked the dish for us. Nice experience with responsible business owner.

I love the food and atmosphere here. So far, the only restaurant in Kuantan who can grill a proper steak (been into another two restos where they dont do a proper steak). Great services by the crew and great food. I recommend people to come and try the food here.

Ordered tapas platter, squid ink pasta, gorgonzola pizza. Tapas platter = cold cuts are thinly sliced, but with the price it's acceptable Squid ink pasta is good with fusion of asian taste. I like it. Pizza : menu mentioned it contained mushrooms and onion however up until finishing whole pizza still can't find a single slice mushroom / onion 😂 maybe chef missed it. Anyway, the texture of pizza is good, blue cheese slight salty as expected I think it's a good try if you are looking for western restaurant in that area.

Hats Off to the chef here. Food is absolutely amazing. Price is not cheap but the food quality is really worth the price. Had the Tapas Platter which has Tapas with 3 types of cheese and 2 types of cold cut. Chicken Cordon Blue : meat was very juicy inside and tender, well marinated with crispy outer skin. Squid Ink Pasta comes with very appetising sauce, pasta texture was al Dante and squid in fresh and tender. Mushroom soup was very good (accordingly to my friends who loves mushrooms). It’s very rich and full of mushrooms flavour. Recommended place for diner or a treat for oneself. 👍🏻👍🏻

The best Italian dishes that I've ever had. Their food were scorching hot and delicious. The mushroom soup were scrumptious and they're so generous with the ingredients. You have to try their bread and soup as well as their onion soup. Loved the plating. It's a a little expensive but once a while visit is definitely worth the money. Suitable for all occasions especially romantic date nights.

Food is up to expectation, cabonara was creamy and full of flavour. Lamb and roasted chicken is pretty decent too. Credit to the chef and their friendly staff. Been there a few times and the food quality never disappoint me.

Visited with a friend for dinner. We had salmon mentai and tenderloin medium rare for sharing. Absolutely worth every cents and dollars. Attentive & friendly staffs elevated the whole dining experience. Would recommend to anyone visiting Kuantan & longed for decent Western food. I must say the waiter Emma has the best service ever, she introduced us the special dish of the day with detailed explanation of the dish, and also provide alternative sauce available. My husband ordered baked salmon mentai, and I ordered grilled halibut with garlic sauce and cheese baked oyster. Personally I loved the grilled halibut very much! It's so fresh, perfect with the garlic sauce and the mashed potato is surprisingly good (with the taste of cereal😍). I ordered the Kasturi juice to match with my halibut and Emma make sure I'm OK with the taste before leaving the table👍. Hubby loved his baked salmon too, and the portion is big enough to keep him full. Definitely will come back again, this is definitely one of the hidden gem of Kuantan.

One of the few good western restaurants in Kuantan here Price here is comparable with KL one but they do deliver it in terms of the quality of ingredients and overall taste My fish and chips (RM26.50) are not using the common dory fish which usually used by most of the restaurant, not sure what is the exact fish but it taste wholesome and great. Mushroom soup confirm is self made and not the typical campbell can type haha while for the caesar salad with grilled chicken taste great with well balanced ingredients and the chicken is smoky and tender as well! Recommended for sure to give here a visit if you are in Kuantan looking for western food xD they do serve asian cuisine like the claypot laoshufun which look normal but tasts great!

Its such a cosy little restaurant!. Looks so old school from its exterior but by golly, we enjoyed everything! Food including the chinese noodles to steaks were cooked with excellence. Yum yum. Its somewhere you can ensure theres something for everyone yet make sure everything is delicious. Please do make reservations. BtW we had their special which was their wagyu steak (300g at RM190) everyone loved it.

A neighbourhood western restaurant that also serves selected Asian fare. Despite being a weekday at 8.30pm, it was full so luckily we made reservations. We ordered the spaghetti bolognaise, chicken chop (pick either grilled or deep fried), grilled red snapper with lemon butter sauce, carbonara and fish n chips. Overall, food was great. Fish used in the fish n chips was quality white fish and not those soft, translucent type. The only let down was the Lobster soup which was a little too fishy with a slight bitterness to it. Other than that, service was good even when it was very busy.

Second time here for lunch! Prices are pretty affordable, and the ulam and gulai lemak were fresh and tasty – loved the mix of sweet and sour! Only thing: the fried ayam kampong was a bit cold, though. Would’ve been perfect if it was warmer! Overall, still a solid spot! 👍

Was looking for a lunch place that served Patin Tempoyak, instead of going to the hyped restaurant, decided to give this one a try. The tail Patin Tempoyak portion is generous, mild fermented durian, sauce is slightly thicken but not the pais style, only hope the restaurant would take the initiative to warm the fish before serving. The boss is generous enough to let us try the Tempoyak daun keledek which opens up our flavours profile, I guess the bunga kantan and other herbs.

Tried the patin tempoyak (a rich, tangy dish made from catfish cooked in fermented durian sauce) at Akob Patin House. Arrived around 3pm after Friday prayers. They still had fish, though not much left. Patin head was RM30, and flesh around RM45. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had patin head tempoyak with rice, ulam, and iced Americano.. all for RM35. Tasty and surprisingly affordable! If you're near the state mosque or the tower, it's just a short walk over. :))

Longing to try patin tempoyak.The taste was so so,fish cooked in watery spicy durian flavour.As for daging salai masak lemak,all I can taste is the spiciness from the chilli.Rice was too dry.Dishonest when it comes to payment.Not worth for a slice of Rm 30 fish and a bowl of Rm 10 soupy smoked meat.

Authentic local food, the Most inspiring and unforgettable dish is sayur rebung masak lemak pedas, rebung ( bamboo shoots) are from Chenor !, coupled up with daging salai masak lemak cili api will send your taste buds flying high to the sky!! Brought home some and we end up eating the same dish for 2 days wanting for more! Hi hi.. Patin goreng is also recommended.

We arrived during lunchtime, and there's plenty of lauk and seating. Food was okay with variety of lauk, not just Patin. The price is good as well, our total meal for 2 cost rm17.90 including drinks (without the Patins tho). Unfortunatel our meals were interrupted by rats arguing under the restaurant's fridge. We have told the cashier lady, but she just 'okay and will look in to it' with not amused face. I hope they care more about the cleanliness of the area.

Sate Zul isn't just a restaurant; it's a Kuantan institution with nearly 50 years of history. Celebrated by locals, VIPs, and even royalty, it's widely regarded as serving some of the best satay in the region. The magic is in the variety. Beyond the classic beef, lamb, and chicken skewers, you can indulge in unique flavours like rabbit, duck, and even premium wagyu beef satay. Each piece is grilled to perfection and promises a taste of authentic Malaysian tradition.

This satay place came highly recommended. The beef satay was truly excellent, while the chicken satay was just average. But shockingly, two skewers of chicken had gone sour! When I placed my order, I noticed a few people in the kitchen tasting the satay. I thought they were checking for flavor and quality control. Turns out, they must have already known the chicken was off, yet instead of removing the bad skewers, they mixed them in and sold them. That’s a huge taboo in the food industry！ Thumbs down！

Generous servings of sate & gravy, the itik & kambing were really good, ayam was ok while the daging had a bit of the chew. Interesting take on the char kuay teow udang, but I would prefer the version w some wok hei! The sambal kerang was really nice w the nasi lemak. Thought the sate gravy & sambal were the stars of the meal, seems to give any decent piece of meat the extra oomph!

This satay shop is one of the more famous and well-known spots in Kuantan, often recommended as a must-try. Personally, I found the satay to be quite standard — nothing too special or standout compared to others I’ve had. It’s not really a must-visit in my opinion, but if you're around and have some time, it’s still worth dropping by for supper. Takeaway did take a pretty long time, so be prepared to wait. That said, the price is very affordable, which makes it a decent option overall.

Beef, lamb, chicken. Had one of each, and then rabbit, duck and premium beef. Enjoyed the normal beef and lamb. The unconventional ones were good for tasting. Peanut sauce is generous and flavorful. Came Tuesday night and there was no wait. Paid rm17.80 w/o drinks.

Had a great experience at Sate Zul in Kuantan! I ordered both chicken and beef satay — they were incredibly flavorful and juicy. The highlight was definitely the peanut gravy; it’s rich, aromatic, and ties everything together perfectly. The satay sticks are also bigger than usual, which is a plus! I also tried the Nasi Lemak Ayam Gepuk, and I was pleasantly surprised they used basmathi rice — a nice touch. The restaurant has a very authentic local Malay vibe. The only downside is that the food is on the pricier side, but it's definitely worth it once in a while for a satisfying treat.

You’ll need to queue before ordering, but the line moves quite fast. The mango cheesecake and pavlova were soooo delicious — definitely worth the wait! Although the drinks menu isn’t very extensive, everything we tried was really good. Plus, the view of Menara and Kuantan makes the whole experience even better. The Mango Cheesecake at Kula Cakes Bakery is an absolute must-try and the highlight of the menu. However, visitors should be aware that the open-air dining area can be uncomfortable, especially during the hot afternoon hours. Despite this, the experience is greatly improved by the very helpful staff.

Cafe dessert located on a busy roadside. There are parking lots provided for customers only. Tapau their signature mango cheesecake and brought home of 5 hours journey. Cake are still intact and good because it came out of freezer and wrapped in aluminium foil. The cheesecake was so soft. The mango sauce was overly sweet so be mindful not to pour all at one time. Delicious will come again next time if im in kuantan.

The famous cafe in Kuantan where everybody want to visit to try the signature Mango Cheesecake. The cafe is located opposite the Kuantan tower and at the endlot unit. Customer need to line up outside the shop and go in to order/buy when come to your turn. They allow 2-4 customers inside the ordering area because the area is to small. The dining area is outside the shop but it is nice and shady. Price is reasonable and worth to try. I love to eat mango especially Harumanis and the Mango Cheesecake was perfect to me. 😊 At the moment they also serving Durian Cheesecake. You guys can try.

If you want pahang style kampung foods, this restaurant might be able to serve you! We came at dinner time. Exacty during maghrib prayer. The restaurant had put out a signage indicating that the service will be paused for a moment to give way for maghrib prayer that includes all the staffs. However the wait wasn’t too long. The foods came all at once. We ordered set for 6-8 people that includes a whole ikan patin. Honestly, the portion was great. We also add-on udang galah in which we choose to cook with sambal. The set also includes 2 jugs of beverages. Overall, our experience dining at jamantory was great. The fishes & shrimp tasted fresh. No fishy or muddy smell. The price was affordable.

If you want some authentic Pahang food, this is one of the place you should visit. It have varieties of food that you can try here. From Pais Tempoyak ikan patin to Ayam Kampung. If you don't eat ikan patin, there is also Beef Soup that you can try here. The taste is like a home cook but they make it mass produced. The food you eat here really taste like village home cook where not any place you could get it although they market it as home cook. The decorations and atmosphere is quite nice. The put an antics item all around the place where you will feel nostalgic. The table are also made from slab of wood. But you need to be prepared that this place usually pack with people. But don't worry the food will not take too long to arrive at your table. What I can say, you can enjoy Pahang food here without needing to go to many places just to eat other foods. The price is reasonable since they have a meal set or you can do a la carte.

A friend of ours recommended this place. The vegetables, as you can see, were swimming in a sauce as if it were soup. The fish we ordered was Patin, and thebsauce was rather sour. Even the coconut was very weird. Yellow on the outside, I think it was old, and the taste of it was off. We wanted to order prawns, squid, clams, and all were out of stock. Disappointed.

My mom’s friend told us that if we’re in Kuantan, we should try Jaman Tory so that’s how we ended up here. And seriously, I get it now. The food was awesome! I had the ayam kampung goreng and it was so, so good, crispy on the outside yet still tender inside. So satisfying. Mak ordered the gulai ikan patin tempoyak, and it was so good we ended up ordering another one to take away and eat at the hotel later. I am not even a fan of patin or dishes like this, but this one was just too good. The flavour was perfect. Not too spicy, not too sour, not too sweet from the tempoyak. Just nicely balanced. Staff were super attentive, anything we asked for came quickly. The only downside was the parking, which can be a bit of a challenge

Stopped for dinner at this restaurant for the first time with friends and family. The food ordered is very tasty and yummylicious 😍 and the price offered is reasonable so far. In terms of service from the restaurant staff very satisfactory, kind and friendly. The food we ordered was ready quickly without a long wait. The atmosphere in the restaurant is spacious, orderly and comfortable, suitable for families and groups. We arrived at the restaurant and it was open. We ordered Nasi Putih, Kari Hijau Ayam, Sup Sayur, Siakap 3 Rasa, and Telur Bistik. For drinks, we had Sirap Ice, Ice Lemon Tea, and Mixed Fruit Juice. Usually, the restaurant is busy during lunch, but we were lucky because it wasn’t crowded when we arrived. Our food came quickly and was served hot. I really liked the Siakap 3 Rasa because it suited my taste. The Kari Hijau Ayam was also good—spicy and hot, which made it tasty. The portions were big even though they were served in small bowls, and the prices were affordable. Overall, I am happy with the food and drinks. It was a nice meal!

The restaurant is suitable for big families as their tables and chairs are quite packed together, their food is quite nice but questionable. For my paprik campur, normally it's red in sauce when I eat in KL but when I come to Kuantan, it is light in colour, not reddish. Taste wise, they used a lot of seafood and quite fresh I would say but I just don't see how this is the same as the ones I've known in KL. But the bad side is their fried rice, their nasi goreng Nanas barely have any colours and the pineapple used are quite limited, there's no fried rice's fragrance, it tastes like plain old rice with a bit of seasoning that's all.

Many years ago (maybe 25 years ago) I had the best and most memorable crab dish I ever had in my life here. It was a Sri Lankan crab in a creamy butter sauce served in a claypot. Sadly the cooks have changed and they don’t stock Sri Lankan crabs anymore (only crabs from Bangladesh are available now). A more recent dining experience here about 10 years ago was somewhat decent but not as memorable. So I was visiting with lower expectations this time. I must say I was pleasantly surprised that the food was generally quite good and the seafood were fresh too. Highly recommended are the Steamed Prawn in Egg White; Claypot Fish Curry; Clam Soup; Stuffed Crab and Diced Chicken with Dried Chillies and Szechuan peppers. If the weather permits, dine at the outdoor seating near the beach. A cold beer would go great with the seafood on offer.

Not my first time here, but i ordered a different spread this round: small mixed seafood tomyam, fried squid with spiced salt & pepper, fried prawns with oat cereal (nestum), telur goreng and the Two Varieties Hong Kong Kailan. What i enjoyed most: The kailan, which came chopped and crispy, easier to eat and added nice texture. The fried squid was also simple and satisfying, though the flour coating was a bit thick. Less of that would’ve made it even better. The tomyam was worth it, both for the portion and the tangy taste. And the fried prawns with nestum were tasty, though i personally wish they’d used smaller prawns, easier to eat with the skin on and you’d keep more of that oat flavour. Like many Chinese seafood spots, they serve wet tissues and kacang at the start and you’ll still get charged even if you don’t use them. The bill came to RM143.40 for everything which leans slightly expensive for two. But not unreasonable, considering the portions and the seafood dishes. Overall, the food was ok. I probably wouldn’t rush back here with the same group, but it’s a decent option if you’re coming in a big group and want variety on the table.

Brought by the client for dinner, despite the rating, I must say the foods are awesome, exceeded expectations, not to mention the view we got from the room. Lobster sashimi was so fresh, all you need just soy sauce. Stuffed crab was impressed too, very favourful. Fried rice pretty legit, enough of work hei. Overall it was good.

They serve big portions for individual rice and noodle dishes—definitely value for money. There’s a wide variety of fresh fish to choose from, perfect for seafood lovers. The location is also a bonus, nice windy beach with beautiful scenery* that adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Ideal spot for a casual seaside meal.

Terribly disappointed by the portion, price and person who took our order. 1. Portion. There were 3 of us and the portion thae came was shockingly small like for 1 pax. I've never seen a smaller baby grouper served in a restaurant, 4 prawns (for rm32) and small lil plate of vege. Shocking. We had to add 1 more dish to 5 just for 3 pax. 2. Not cheap for the portion and quality. The prawn I had was NOT fresh at all. Lembik in texture. Terrible. 3. Person who took our order started taking other table's order after coming to our table by tuning his back to us. quite despicably rude. At this price point and standard, not only we will not return but we urge others to not bother coming too. I'm sure there are many other seafood restaurants that can do way better.

Run by a 2nd-3rd generation of Mr. Soon. Visited for dinner on a weekday. Had the honour of meeting Mr. Soon's wife, son and wife and his grand daughter. Was recommended the stuffed crab which was a delight of it's own, without the chilli sauce. Not terribly dry, sweet and lighrly salted from real crab meat. Next up, another recommendation, the bbq squid - sliced thinly. The tentacles on these are so yummy. Then, another recommendation, the roast chicken. Hand-to-heart, way better than any chicken rice shop. Paper-thin skin roasted to perfection and succulent, tender meat, with moistened gravy from the chicken. It's the technique, i was told which was different in preparing this dish. Lastly, lala with spinach. We also added two packets of keropok ikan tambang, sold at the counter. Was told to sun dry the pieces before deep frying. Revisited after a year for an early dinner - great panoramic view of the Beserah beach. Food and service as good as last. A lot of sandflies on this visit however; they seem to only settle for the stuffed crab. Wow, they too know what's best here!

The signboard itself is quite small so it was quite confusing to find the place but I hope the photos shared will help. Ordered the mushroom aglio olio, scone and another dish I can’t recall it’s name. The scones were lovely, we enjoyed it! The other two dishes, I would say average. I like that the aglio olio is a bit spicy but it’s a tad bit too oily. The ambiance is really nice. The place is clean, with a touch of art pieces. The whole are feels well-taken care of and they play good music too. I would come here for coffee or dessert next time.

Very cosy ambience filled with the smell of baked goods. Coconut coffee was average but acceptable, with a sprinkling of coconut bits. Not very coconut-ty. Hot latte and cappuccino were normal. The two cheese quesadillas were a bit dry but okay. The strawberry and cream waffles were slightly sweet but very, very nice and we're served in a generous portion. The chocolate dome was also not overly sweet and extremely delicious. Out of all the items I ordered, I'd definitely try this again. The other cakes also looked very Instagrammable and promisingly tasty, though we did not try them. They have an interesting art gallery upstairs where you can view local art and purchase a few of them, if you choose to. The staff were not overly friendly and did not welcome us into the cafe. But they were observant and got us extra cutlery before we even asked. After you are seated, they will bring you a menu but you are required to order at the counter. Do expect a bit of waiting time for your food and drinks as they are understaffed. The cafe also did not seem to have a wash basin so do take note of that and sanitize your hands after you use their washroom. Overall, I would come back again to try their waffles and cakes. Maybe even their sandwiches.

Visited during high tea time. The cafe environment is quite cozy and nice. Varieties of choices for drinks and foods. Waffle seems to be a famous choice. Ordered white chocolate, earl grey tree, chai coffee and strawberry waffle. Foods and drinks tasted OK. Services are also OK. Prices are OK.

Coffee is good. Tried the rib eye steak and mash. Rib eye was too tough like chewing hard rubber. Careful if you have false teeth. The oreo in a jar is not nice, mostly tasted of fluffy fresh cream. Quesadillas is not bad. Parking is limited

Nice little cozy cafe. Love the vibe and ambience as it's a good place to catch up with your friends or family over a good cup of coffee and delicious food. They have many variety food and beverage on the menu. Great things that they have vegetarian and vegan option too. They pastries are very good, especially the Scones served with jam and cream. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Upstairs of the cafe, there's a little art gallery that you can visit. Most of the artworks are from local young artists.

The place is cosy and beautiful. However, the food is mediocre at best. I ordered salted egg waffle and coffee coke. The waffle is okay, but the only thing I tasted is the coconut ice-cream. The salted egg flavour is so minuscule that the ice-cream overpowered it. Also, my coffee coke smelled like someone's spit. I would have given this cafe at least three stars if not for the not-so-friendly staff. Is it so hard to say welcome or thank you? I wouldn't mind those pleasantries IF this cafe is some random cheap eateries but for a cafe that is somewhat expensive, I do expect some kind of hospitality from the staff.

Iftar at this restaurant. Lamb shank is not that good. Not what you expect. The kebab is quite good but not that big. But the Kunafa saved the day. It is so sweet and crispy, very tasty. Overall 3/5 stars

So here at dallah they serve kind of Mediterranean food. The food is very nice, juicy, scrumptious and tender. The price is also reasonable. They have so many types of nasi arab and dessert such as kunafa and others. The atmosphere of the shop is elegant.

Nice food! A great experience in arab/yemen food. Hummus with Mulawah bread is delicious. lamb mandy is tender and fragantful. baklava is on the sweet side taste like Chinese kacang tumbuk.

Arabic or mamak i don't know but the only thing that I know this is a restaurant that really overrated though. The place is really cozy, comfortable and suitable for family gathering and group gathering. Seems gloomy and small but once you step into the restaurant, you'll know. The foods here are really great and tasty though. The mixture of the foods, the components of the foods, the preparation of the foods are nicely done. Great job to the chef who in charge! you're great! The beverages is pretty normal and nothing interesting though. The services, facilities are normal too. The staffs here pretty fast, professional and really great at responding like they know every details about the restaurant. I think they studied about it. The price really affordable. I'd recommend it though!

Chanced upon this gem. The Appam was light and crispy at the edges and soft and fluffy in the centre. The spicy sardines were very flavourful. Tea set with masala tea was very tasty

The best Appam I’ve ever eaten. It’s so thin and crispy. The toasted coconut is extremely fragrant. The special sauce which is a mix of coconut milk and water added the extra tint of sweetness. The most amazing thing is that the coffee n teh Tarik is so flavourful n mildly sweet without any added sugar. The restaurant used herbs and amazing cooking methods to elevate the flavor of their drinks and food. I wish they would open a shop in Singapore. I hope i will have a chance to eat this again. Pls open a branch in at least JB pls!

Their variety of appam flavours had us spoilt for choice, each one served hot and delicious. We didn’t manage to try their nasi lemak appam, but it’s definitely on the must-try list for next time. The mutton curry paired with appam was hearty and flavorful — a real comfort combo. We also had the pani puri, and it was a crisp, tangy delight with the sauce perfectly balancing the bite. Don’t leave without sipping on their signature teh tarik & masala teh — smooth, spiced, and fragrant tea. Go for their nasi lemak ayam berempah. The sambal packs with generous onions, and the ayam berempah is well spiced in all the right ways.

Absolutely delicious appam! As an Indian food lover from KL, I was truly impressed. I brought my mum along (she lives in Kuantan and had never tried this place), and she was equally delighted. The service was fast, and the owner was kind, accommodating, and down-to-earth. I really appreciate places that feel personal and genuine, rather than overly commercial—especially those that still maintain quality even after receiving good ratings online. The appam was freshly made, and the coconut milk was simply out of this world. The sizzling nasi lemak was flavorful yet not too heavy. The curry and sambal served with the chapati were outstanding—better than many places in KL, which often taste commercialized with too many preservatives. The masala tea and lemon tea were also excellent—naturally delicious, sugar-free, and perfect for someone like me who is health-conscious. Authentic, clean, and natural food without compromising on taste—that’s what makes this place special. Crazy soft chapati.... 😄 I really hope you’ll stay open during Chinese New Year, as it’s a tradition for my family to enjoy Indian food on the third day of CNY. Came on a weekday at around 3pm. Parking was plenty, and the restaurant was still quite empty at the time. The cashier that took the order was prompt and friendly enough, though i would recommend in view of no other customer at the time, they could recommend their specialty.. anyway, love the deco n vibe here. Food served quite fast too, the spaghetti was surprisingly quite delish! Love the tinge of spice to it.

I book a table for 6 two days before coming and the customer service is top notch.i also ordered all the menus 4 hours before through whatsapp and its super convenient for my family.we arrived 10 mins earlier and 8.30pm sharp,they started to serve our foods.we ordered sirloin steak-well done as our last menu and it took only 15 mins to arrive.my family loves the atmosphere and food here and we will surely come again.keep up the good service.

A bit dissapointed, I came after watched a review of lamb rack in tiktok. However, mine was far different from what I saw earlier. The price is same , but the portion is totally different. I think this is not lamb rack. Looks like a lamb shoulder. Really not worth the price

I've visited this café a few times, and I have to say, they serve great foods! Recommended to try their monster beef burger – the portion was generous, and it tasted amazing, no doubt. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy, and I absolutely love the interior!

First thing that i can say is i will come again next time. The food is delicious, short waiting time and the place is convenience. Maybe others will say the price is a bit pricey, but for me is affordable equal to the food quality. My son really like the carbonara spaghetti. The black pepper sauce is superb. Love everything there.

Honestly, the entrance of the place is kind of confusing for a first timer, would appreciate if to put a sign up with the name of the place cause I almost walk up to another place with a few uncles chilling. Cozy restaurant, love the interior located inside an aesthetic house, have a romantic warm light setting suitable for dinner dates, good air conditioning. The menu is interesting, not the typical western menu but I’m kind of disappointed that the gnocchi spinachi and dauphinoise potato were unavailable, it’s a rare dish. Anyways I settled with grilled chicken and mushroom soup. It’s delicious, not a fan of the mushroom soup. The prices lean more to the pricy side, grilled chicken at other places are below rm30 but since the portion is quite large it’s still good. Sadly there is no dessert option. The toilet is pretty and clean. Overall it’s a good experience. Good job 👍🏻 Would probably come again for the gnocchi

Good food. Pizza is good, the peppercorn sauce is great and dauphinois is good sideline. Think there were no longer live band performed while enjoying the dinner like the old times.

Place: air-conditioned restaurant with a little louder music (soft rock/pop rock) in the background, with smoke smell lingering inside the restaurant. Car park is ample. Toilet is ala-Malaysian. The inside of the restaurant is clean and had a darkish cozy ambiance. The outside of the restaurant looked like a battle field but, its of no concern to the food. Service: fast and efficient. No need prompting. Excellent hot lady with extensive body art. Food: A restaurant that specialises in Arabic food (surprisingly), but 1 that I would say is done quite successfully, although the range and variety isnt too wide (still worth the try). 1) lamb pizza: its super thin crust with fresh ingredients used. It was tasty and flavourful. Worth the price. Verdict: must try for those thin crust pizza lovers. 2) Swarma chicken: the wrap was the right thickness but the chicken filling though very flavourful was a little low on volume. Would have been perfect if there were more packed. The oil was overflowing for my portion too. The sour cream went excellently with fries. Verdict: if the amount of chicken were to increase, it would have been a 10 out of 10 for me, as now, 9/10. 3) Swish tawook chicken: the chicken was flavourful, non-spicy, but packed with herbs. The self wrapped pita + onions + chicken was a wonderful combo on the palate. Didnt care too much about the fries though. Verdict: I might order this again if I fancy Arabic food.

Serves delectable western dishes. The lunch set serves a generous portion, and it comes with a free drink and a scoop of ice cream. We were seated in a private room as there were 9 of us. Only complaint is the lack of communication between the servers, where we had to wait a long time to get our dessert.

The last time I came to crocodile rock was close to 8 years ago! The ambience is still the same, very relaxing and private. Food was very good, we had pizza, pesto, carbonara and BBQ chicken. Service was reasonably fast with very welcoming staff. The owner himself is a very friendly and humble chap. Overall a good experience for a night out with the family.

Had dinner here and it did not disappoint! The curry prawn served in a coconut is a must-try – incredibly flavorful and fragrant. The sweet and sour pork was a standout, even better than the fried garlic pork. Also enjoyed the minced pork tofu, which was tasty and comforting. A great place for a satisfying, hearty meal!

Passing by looking for a place for lunch while on the way back from Lang Tengah , saw it on google recommendations. We ordered their famous coconut prawns and some others dishes . Overall is very average for me . But not bad place for a simple lunch . Can also try their claypot kangkung.

I had a wonderful experience at this Chinese restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish bursting with authentic flavor. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. There's also plenty of free parking, which made getting there stress-free. A typical no frill Chinese restaurant with pricing on its menu. It is cheap compared to KL standard as the portion is quite generous. The black pepper fried venison is very nice.

My second time here. Couldnt remember when was my first visit here. But still excellent. Ordered Roasted Chicken and Tenderloin Pasta. Also two drinks. Delicious, tender chicken. Tenderloin also tender and juicy, although I thought the beef is in big chunk. But its shredded.

Visited Tjantek. Service was great, the cashier was super friendly and welcoming. The cafe itself is beautiful, with plenty of seating and a unique decor that blends retro vibes with a classic touch. We ordered the iced matcha latte + oat milk. The taste was alright, though the texture was a little grainy which is common with authentic matcha, as it doesn’t fully dissolve like instant powders. RM16 for a 12oz cup is pretty standard for cafe these days. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Everything and everywhere in this cafe is absolutely gorgeous. Its worth visiting if you ever come down to Kuantan. Salad and Tjantek specialty juice is also tasty. Will come back again!

I had the worst latte ever. My friend and i ordered two hot latte. They tasted differently and had different texture. No art whatsover. The so called barista even spill my coffee on my saucer and made it more messed up. There was only one barista come cashier at that time. She looks annoyed when customers come in. So there you go

Came to have some dessert after dinner and loved the banana waffle on first bite. The portion was generous especially the caramelised banana. Atmosphere was great as well. Would definitely come again!

Personally, I think the food and drinks from this shop are not to my taste. The coffee served is quite sweet. The service from the shop workers is also not satisfactory (you have to take your own menu at the counter, the workers are not friendly with customers). The prices are quite expensive compared to more exclusive cafes.

TL;DR: A must-visit Chinese restaurant in town. It’s located on the ground floor of an old, somewhat desolate-looking hotel building, which made me hesitate before stepping in (I even checked reviews right outside the entrance). This was my second visit after a couple of years. Although the restaurant looks old, it is at least clean. The food is still amazing, with seasoning that’s on point, well-balanced, and delicate; even the garnishes are thoughtfully prepared. Prices are reasonable and worth it. Don’t be put off by its appearance.

All dishes tasted decent. Their homemade tofu was pretty amazing. 3 stars because the texture of the siakap fish was not good and all dishes portion are too small.

We ordered steam pomfret with ginger. The fish was not fresh. We complained and they took it to re cook again. Came out like chewing gum. We complained again but nothing done - 140 ringgit for it only had 1 bite Hokkien mee was a disaster. Tasteless and too much soy sauce. Never going to step in here anymore. Total bill came to 220 ringgit with Chinese tea.

We went to this famous restaurant for dinner during weekend. There are a lot of customers. But everything went smoothly. The parking is quite easy to get even though the location is at the housing area. In fact the restaurant is also a house. There are alsona lot of dining table available outdoor, indoor and upstairs. The restaurant is nice and pretty. There are a lot of foods and drinks available from the menu. The foods overall taste good, portion is fair and price is acceptable. Got some shortage here and there but overall it is okay. The service is also okay, some foods arrived early while some food need to wait quite long. The staffs is also welcoming. The environment is very nice, maybe the main selling point. It is comfortable and suitable to bring family and friends for dinner. The place is also clean.

Food at Loft by Rimba? So good! Generous portions, drinks were decent too. The vibe is super chill perfect spot to hang out and munch. But… on a hot day with no breeze, you’ll really feel the heat. Love the QR ordering system fast, no need to wave at staff. Sneaky idea, how about letting us pay by QR right after ordering? That’d be super smooth and unique. Overall, loved it! Would come back again as long as the wind shows up too.

Great spot for a cozy meal! The tempura chicken chop was crispy and flavorful, and the smoked beef masak lemak with rice was comforting and tasty. The iced tea with lychee was super refreshing. It is our first time here. Trying it out based solely on reviews I read on Maps. I'm always wary of restaurants getting many 5-star reviews from people who have only made a single review. This is indicative of reviews made in exchange for some form of reward or discount. But I did read through most of the reviews and found a few written by seasoned reviewers. As it turns out, we were happy to have dined here. Delicious food and prompt service.

Nice place with excellent service. My spouse accidentally toppled his glass. The staff quickly helped/cleaned up the spilled drink. They also suggested and assisted us to move to a different table and gave us a new drink for free. But spouse insisted paying for it. 😊 Tq for a lovely dinner.

This isn't your average makan spot. The food? Delicate and you can tell they sweat the small stuff, the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. Honestly, the food was overrated. I got no issue to being assigned to sit on the upper floor, but the table wasn’t properly cleaned—there were oil stains on the cups and even flies inside the toothpick holder. To make matters worse, the service was poor. The lady serving us was rather rough in her manner, causing loud clattering of bowls and plates. When serving individual bowls of noodles, she placed them down with unnecessary force, which left a negative impression.

New area explore in this area, best 私房菜 I had tried out ever. Everything is goods , all foods serve with nice decorations and off course the taste also wonderful . When I in Kuantan , this place must visit either for my lunch or dinner 😁

Environment is comfortable and ambience is good. Especially love the Seafood Porridge. Very fresh and tasty with loads of crabs and prawns. The chefs here have won multiple medals and trophy in Chinese cuisines. Price is rather pricey though. Give it a try when you want to give yourself a treat.

It was a random lunch decision. It was lunch hour yet Mabiq (main) was dished out by the early lunch crowd hence we decided on Mabiq 2. Apparently Kuantan crowd take early meals. Hence even though it was around 1pm, most trays were either emptied or almost empty. We had to wait about 15-20mins for our table. It was strange that rice was only available in batches of two tubs. Hence we had to again wait, to have our staple source of carbohydrate. There also isnt a proper system when queing, with the impatient nonchalantly cutting queue. Tubs went empty after 5-6 people as each would be taking for multiple members at their table. Cleanliness can be very much improved within the space. We chose to have the famous paeh patin and daging salai masak lemak. Hence didnt pay much attention to other options. Both choices were very pleasing to our palate. Apparently the paeh patin comes in head or tail servings at a very reasonable price of RM15 each. Unfortunately only the head cuts were available for us. It was a perfect fushion of creamy, sweet, sour and spicy. We each agreed that it was perhaps the best patin tempoyak we have yet tasted! The daging salai was tastefully smoked. Its gravy was delivious despite seemingly looking watered. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy patin tempoyak. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did! 🐟

Was there on 5July 2020, Sunday afternoon for lunch. People were queuing outside, noticed that the SOP was not complied to. There's only temperature checks before entering and need to write contact details. Their specialty are only the Patin tempoyak, Patin pais, daging salai kicap. They also serve ikan keli goreng, ikan keli sambal, ayam goreng, itik masak lemak. Selection of dishes are limited.

One of the best Paeh Patin Tempoyak u can get in town. The fish was fresh and they used lots of tempoyak (durian) for the Paeh. Highly recommended. There was plenty of parking as well. However, u may need to queue for quite some time if u come during peak hours.

Parking: Quite easy Food:9/10 (patin tempoyak a bit spicy for me) Popular dishes here are patin tempoyak and paeh patin bakar. We have to self service from scooping the rice until serving drinks. Overall, good experience!

The price is reasonable. The food were great. But, one of our paeh patin were undercooked. We've complain, but the staff assume we took it from the back. And he didn't even apologize.

Ikan patin tempoyak bakar is very the nice! Thick gravy with the patin fish so soft and lovely. Packed during lunch so get your distance right. Food and drinks are self service. Daging kicap salai and ikan keli sambal also nice. Unfortunately the food selection is limited and we came around 2pm, half of the trays were empty. The usual typical restaurant owner, giving hand soap mixed with water. Cash only.

It’s a great spot to check out if you’re in Kuantan. The café has a wide variety of food options and a nice selection of pastries. We had the salmon omelette on brioche, which was excellent, and the bangers & mash, which was hearty and satisfying. To finish off, we tried the berries and banana brioche, it wasn’t overly sweet, making it a perfect choice if you prefer desserts that aren’t too heavy. Really good! The coffee was well-prepared and enjoyable too. Overall, I’d give it a solid 4.5/5. Definitely worth a visit!

Had dinner at Ms Elliot and the food was amazing! The rib eye and kambing kuzi were super delicious, and the drinks were really fresh. The place itself is nice and cozy. The only downside was that there were two birthday celebrations going on, and it got so noisy that we couldn’t even hear each other talk. Would be great if they had a separate room for parties, because the vibe here is actually really lovely.

The food was NEXT level. Especially the dessert. Super delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed myself there. The vibes were great, very nice place for a formal lunch or family gathering. A little on the pricier side but worth the money. Definitely try the flamingo cake and the nachos. So good.

We visited Hock Bee @ Ms. Elliot and really enjoyed our meal! We ordered the Royal Pahang Roast Chicken, Ms. Elliot Signature & Signature French Fries. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. The price is reasonable and standard for a city cafe. Cozy atmosphere and clean presentation too. Would definitely recommend for a nice brunch or lunch spot in Kuantan!

The mushroom soup and garlic bread are superb, and their signature coffees (Sg Pandan Waterfall & Batu Hitam) are excellent. Prices are on the higher side but worth it, with plenty of pastry choices. Parking is limited and the air-conditioning could be better, as it felt quite hot inside.

We came here after being recommended by a local friend and also the hotel concierge. The food did all the talking! It was sooo good. We ordered pastas (i cant remember the names but both were good) chicken chops n burgers. I loved the vibe here, felt like in the 90s with the furniture and the mosaic floor at front. Found this gem on the first day of our Kuantan trip. Food offered has variety of Malay and Fusion cuisine. Love the celup tepung fried fresh squid and fried rice, Zul Sate is definitely Kuantan people familiar and favourite, Shellout is ok to try, taste is on the salty side. Coconut shake for us is a miss, we was expecting something cool like Coconut Shake Klebang. Space is definitely the highlight here, very clean, well decorated with plants and natural elements, nice spacing and sheltered are is with fan. Kids is safe to roam around safely. Wishing the Chinese food court operator to make this place as good reference on how a good food court should be. Well equipped with the beeping system, so we can order and chill while waiting for our food. Clean and comfortable, someday I heard even with love band.

Good atmosphere for family with kids. Ample choice of food and parking space. The live band started a bit late 9:15 ++ pm.

It's really over the top as a food court. The tables and landscaping is over the top. What a place to dine in at food court prices. Great place to bring large groups and to take quick insta photo or two. You won't be disappointed at the experience. Food should not be your main point of reason to be here. Ur to be fair it isn't all that bad. It's averagely OK and I don't mind it all. We are sate Zul and bubur special. Parking might be a little problematic being hilly and everything. But that's what gives the place it's vibes. Love the lighting. And yeah you get to get those buzzers to collect your food. And yes it wasn't the fastest. But waiting in a such a pretty spot, enjoy your surroundings and company. Not come here if you need a quick bite if food.

came here around 7pm and there were no queue. but shortly after that the queue outside builds up. there were alot of dishes you can choose from here. environment was an open area was great if it’s not raining. alot of seating area . there is no more jaman tory stall here. the korean store is the slowest since it has a lot of orders and the foods from the korean store. was amazing. the otak2 on the table is great too.

Nice environment. Both open air and shaded dining areas available. Mostly selling Malay and fusion food. Siakap tiga rasa set was good. Seafood served was fresh and in generous portion. Reasonable price. Coconut milkshake was life saving in hot weather but slightly too sweet. Overall, enjoyed dinner here.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing, owner collects the items on display. Local coffee sold is alright, not the best but drinkable. Butter kaya toast is also decent. You can choose your toast to be in bun, thick or thin form. This shop also resells a lot of kuehs and rice meals from other vendors. Latte is also available but only from 8am onwards

They serve a variety of local breakfast picks. Everything we tried was just okay okay je lah. Nothing mind-blowing, but good enough for a chill breakfast. The vibe was cool. I really liked the old-school interior that gave the place a nice, classic feel. Staff were friendly and attentive. It got packed pretty quickly after we sat down, but I personally liked that. It made the place feel alive. We came early, so parking was easy, you might need to consider that since it’s located in a busy area right by the main road. The only thing I didn’t love was the overpriced iced latte. Can definitely get a better one elsewhere for less. .

A wonderful day to start when we had our breakfast in which was handled and served by the friendly owner and staffs. Had to give credit to them to arrange place for us who came in a large group and they served the food was fast. Tasty roti bakars and coffee especially the vietnamese ones. Price is affordable not too expensive. My Laksam was mediocre, I had better in KL but I'm guessing it's the vendor's fault. We ordered English Breakfast and it was really good. Didn't order coffee, but the matcha was okay imo. TEH C IS REALLY GOOD MUST ORDER. There's wayy more variety in food here. You can get nasi lemak, malay kuih and more. Vibes is 9/10

5 stars for the vibe! This café really takes you back to the 1980s, from the setting, the lighting, the ambience, to the music, everything feels nostalgic and spot on. The food, though, was a bit frustrating. The menu is very limited, with no real hot dishes apart from roti bakar, laksa nyonya, shakshuka, and half-boiled eggs. The ready-made food was cold and didn’t taste at its best - hence this is the reason for only 3 star them. The only highlight for me was the roti bakar kaya + butter… absolutely the best! Hence, this is the reason I’m giving it only 3 stars. So, would I come back? Probably not. But if you haven’t tried this café yet, it’s definitely worth experiencing at least once for the vibes

Came a bit late for breakfast on a Friday around 10 something, so most items were already sold out. Managed to grab a nasi lemak bungkus + ayam, and it turned out quite good. I liked the sambal, it had that balance of pedas and manis. I usually prefer sambal with a hint of sweetness and this one had just enough without tasting overly manis. The ayam was quite big too, satisfying portion. Also ordered roti bakar, which came with a slab of butter. Not really my preference, i like when the butter is spread more evenly so it doesn’t feel too much in one bite. Had the half-boiled eggs as well, they were fine. Tried the garlic bread with mushroom soup (RM10) and that was comforting. Nothing fancy, but the soup was warm, creamy enough, and paired nicely with the bread. For drinks, i had kopi susu Vietnam. Good mix, smooth and easy to enjoy. The place wasn’t too crowded when we came, which was nice. Overall, they serve good stuff here and i’d recommend it to friends or family visiting Kuantan. For myself though, i’d probably try other spots next time i’m around.

The nasi dagang was a bit of a letdown. While the gravy was flavourful, the rice lacked the distinct aroma and richness typically expected from this traditional dish. However, the coffee was spot on—bold, aromatic, and paired perfectly with the butter and kaya toast. A special shout-out to the service, especially the friendly girl at the front who greeted customers with sweet smiles and genuine eagerness to help. Her warm hospitality truly elevated the experience.

The food is quite good. We ordered a sea bass & fried squid with salty egg; and the dishes were delicious with reasonable price. Additionally, the staffs were so friendly. Good place for having meal in group.

Our first night in Kuantan we decided to eat here for dinner. It was a good choice as the dinner crowd didnt throng the place yet at 7pm. We chiosed the set dinner for RM 127.00. Within 20 minutes we were served sizzling todu, mixed vegetables, lemongrass fish & stri fry beef. All were perfectly cooked we finished almost everything. Too full to order dessert but we vowed we will definately be back to try other dishes

The thai style fish, sauce is not to my liking. Sweet and nothing close to Thai style. Fried eggs with parsley, carrot etc and claypot bean curd still ok. Others are so so.

It's a good place for dinner. The food tastes good, especially the salted egg sotong and mixed vegetables soup, but the wait for the food is about 45 minutes. (lunch hour) The sanitation management of the restaurant is not very good. I saw little cockroaches crawling on the chairs. Hope it can be improved. Reservation recommended.

They are famous with their pillow bun which is a long shaped bun filled with kaya, peanut butter or red bean paste. It can be cut into 8 smaller pieces. However, they are doing wholesale supply and usually only open for walk in customers at 1:00pm to 2:30pm. For walk in customers, you only get to buy their leftover buns. Tried their char siew bun and it was not to my liking. The peanut butter bun was a little better.

Long wayyy went to buy pillow pau. Tried the blueberry long pau — it would be even better with a bit more filling, but still very satisfying :) We pre-ordered through whatsapp, and the whole process went smoothly upon arrival.

The pau is delicious.. soft yet chewy bread, wrapped around generous helping of filling... the red bean filling was fragrant (grinded in house), so was the kaya butter... char siew was also good. Delicious pao. Very fresh and soft. Friendly owner. Go early as there was a crowd forming even before they opened. When it got to my turn some were already sold out.

Purposely delaying my trip just to try this famous dry noodles. It’s located inside a corner coffee shop. Visited on 12.35pm sunday, luckily no need waiting too long. Roast intestines is very nice, the noodles is springy, taste superb! However the roast duck just taste average, and feel portion given was a bit less if compared the price given (RM7.30). Food was yummy. The place was slightly hot

Many people come over just to eat the duck noodle. For me, the noodle didn't really taste that good. Compared to Sungai Lembing Mee / 林明面, I think it is way much more better than this. And for the duck, I think it is just average, nothing special about it. Doesn't really impress me in any kind of way.

Old shop but many people during lunch. Duck Mee is recommended. Yong Tau Fu also nice.

One of the better 乾捞面 in town, you can have it with roast duck, char siew or Chinese Saugage with wantan soup. The place is in this small hawker center, the roast duck and Chinese Saugage is pretty good and tasty. The noodle is springy, pretty good but slightly on the salty side. The Wantan is very average without much flavour. The place is not too hygienic and parking can be challenging.

Duck nooble is very nice as special roasted duck 🦆👍👍👍 must try , but you have to be patient for waiting. 😅😅

Came for the duck noodles but it is disappointing. Nothing great. But the surprise is their red bean ice! One of the best red bean ice you can get. Highly recommended.

Upon arriving in Kuantan, we headed straight to Dapur Mama Original Nasi Kukus in Indera Mahkota. Although there was a long line, the service was quick. We ordered a Nasi Kukus set with Sirap for RM12.50. It might be a bit pricey since it includes a drink. The rice and chicken we received were freshly cooked, making it delicious to eat while hot. The spiciness of the sambal made us sweat. The restaurant has an open concept with plenty of tables and chairs, creating a comfortable atmosphere with a cool breeze. Parking is also easy and plentiful around the restaurant.

I tried the soy sauce chicken here, but unfortunately the meat was really tough and hard to eat. However, the other chicken dishes were all tasty and cooked well. Hopefully, they can improve the soy sauce chicken to keep the quality consistent 😊

Had the alacarte Ayam berempah take away. Got a short queue to order however service was quite fast. Clean place and the food tasted good and I liked it. Chicken was hot, fresh and juicy while the gravy was sweet but add the Sambal, it'll balance the taste out. Price for a pack without drinks was RM9.90. Would recommend.

Restaurant serving nasi kukus. Have ayam berempah, ayam masak merah and ayam kicap. A set of nasi together with free tea. The curry is sweeter than usual. Have also sambal belacan. Desert is available. Mango cheese is sweet and melted in mouth.

We came here for dinner as it was adjacently located to the hotel we stayed in. But I was taken by surprise by our experience here... Both my wife and I ordered the Nasi Kukus with Ayah Rempah, as the photos on the menu clearly showed a very presentable serving of the food. But not only that I had to collect my order personally from the counter, both orders were served wrapped in papers, without any plates!!! To make the matter worst for me, the photo on the menu clearly showed that the sambal was served separately, but in my order, they were all jumbled up together in the wrapped paper serving!! And I dont take spicy sambal!!! Hence, I ended up only eating the fried chicken, and not much of the rice...and I didnt even bother to take photos of the food like I usually do, but this time my focus was on the photo of my wife walking out of the restaurant...

Had lunch here and it did not disappoint! The system was smooth and well-organized, so even with the crowd, service was fast and efficient. The staff were also super friendly, which made the experience even better. Portion was generous, taste was on point, and the price was very affordable. Definitely one of those places you’d come back to when you’re craving a solid plate of nasi kukus. Sedap gila!

Variety of breakfast options to choose from i.e. nasi dagang, nasi minyak, nasi lemak, laksa kuah putih, bihun goreng & kuih muih. The taste is mid overall. No wow factor in the food as I was expecting more of pantai timur flavour in the main dishes. I had nasi dagang, the gravy was too thin & a part of the fish was burnt in which made the whole dish tasted slightly bitter. The fried sweet potato actually tasted better than nasi dagang I had. There was a queue when we arrived but the service was pretty fast considering there were three people attending to the customers. The food was calculated and paid before eating.

Just a village stall in a house - seating area is all around the house verandah. Food wise, definitely punching above their weight. Nasi Minyak was good if a tad sweet. Chicken Kurma was excellent. Mixed rice (Nasi Campur) with beef lung (paru), fried bitter gourd crisps and fried potato slices was again extremely delicious. Enjoyed my meal here.

Wide array of choices for a truly authentic East Malaysian local food. Place needs a little sprucing up but hey, we only came here for the food! Tried the nasi dagang. Fish was good and the curry was yummy. Would love to return here and try their Nasi Kerabu and Nasi Minyak on our next visit.

This place is a coffee shop with a few stalls. If it's raining, there won't be many places to sit. Sitting outside is better as it is not so stuffy. However, the food here is good. The Lin Chee Kang here is nice👍. The three coloured pan mee / bi hun kueh is also delicious 😋. Tried the yong tau foo stall for the first time despite having gone there a few times. The rest of the yong tau foo are OK to me but surprisingly, the taufu is super good 👍! The food and dessert here are really worth trying. Will definitely be back again.

Kopitiam tucked in a neighbourhood. My go to place for 3 colours milk ban mee. Tong shui such as lin chi kang is a must try. Street parking easily available. Had issues with the house flies though, plenty of them.

The food quality at Pan meeis truly outstanding. From the texture of the noodles to the rich, flavorful broth and the carefully selected ingredients, every dish reflects the dedication and passion of the team. It is clear that a lot of thought goes into creating an excellent dining experience. Although parking around the area can be a little challenging, the restaurant thoughtfully provides free parking, which is a great convenience. The stall owner allowed other customers to cut my queue, okay fine, but when I tried to place my order, he seemingly ignored me. So after I tried again to place my order and he told me currently I have too many orders you will need to wait for a very long time. What the heck is this kinda service attitude? —- 31.8.2022 Curry mee with 4 pieces of Yong tau fu, only RM 5.50. Taste not bad too. This stall seems very popular too.

This is the only lin chi kang place in Kuantan. We arrived at around 7pm on a Friday night (17 Dec 2021) and it was still open. RM3 for a bowl of lin chi kang that had a decent amount of goodies inside. I ordered the hot version (good for that rainy day!) while my family ordered the cold version. There are other dessert options like red bean soup, and gingko and barley soup, too. Seating is limited but there weren't many customers then so it was okay.

The only Lin Chi Kang stall in Kuantan. Hence, the crowd. Nothing great. Just ordinary. Food stall sells average noodles too

I was served by a Malay guy who was really nice and friendly. It happened to be my brother’s birthday, and the waiter politely asked if the staff could play a birthday song for us, which made the experience even more special. The food was absolutely delicious — we ordered the spinach & cream cheese pizza, Puteh nachos beef, and the Puteh signature mocktail. Everything was so tasty, and we truly enjoyed our time here.

The cooking was excellent, atmosphere was great with fire show, service was fantastic. If there was 7 stars, I would give it. Keep it up guys. Definitely will come back again 😊

The mushroom soup, which initially appeared appetising, proved to be devoid of any discernible flavour, and instead possessed a peppery taste. The smoked duck was found to contain a number of undesirable sour flavours, a defect also present in the black pepper sauce. I was unable to resist bringing both items to the attention of the waiter for his opinion. When a complaint was made about the sour taste of the black pepper sauce, the response was simply the condiment cooked with water and flavour. The two plates of chicken cutlets were accompanied by black pepper sauce, which proved to be a source of dissatisfaction. The condiment was found to be excessively sour in one instance and excessively salty in another. The chicken cutlets themselves exhibited an absence of flavour, with the oil flavour being the only discernible taste. It’s surprising that a restaurant with such poor food quality can receive so many positive reviews. If customers and the catering industry tolerate such restaurants using this kind of food quality to attract patrons (putting aside the price — after all, it’s not worth it, and the food quality is terrible), then who would still bother to cook with care? Only suitable for chilldrink, don order the food. (The sudden breaking of the connector of table leg gave everyone a scare. Luckily no one is injure)

The best curry lamb I’ve ever had! The atmosphere is very comfortable, enjoying dinner with the sea breeze. In the evening, there’s even a fire show performance. Totally worth the price and highly recommended!

Although they have so many reviews, I believe the most of them are not genuine. Definitely a beautiful place for taking Instagramable pictures. But didn't like the vibes here. It felt like the staff were sales and target orientated, i certainly didn't feel the friendliness that other reviews states. Sitting on the wooden platforms is very uncomfortable as the entire floor shakes when people walk.

The meal was delicious! Everything was fresh and curry is great. We had mutton and chicken curry. The owner is friendly and was helping us with explaining what the dishes were.

The nasi with daun pisang was so good. The curry is so flavourful and the spices really be spicing. It's a definitely don't miss it out menu when u go there.

Banana leaf rice superb delicious. Variety of curry. My personal favourite is Masala Prawn, Ayam Bawang, and Crispy Fried Chicken. Rice eaten with loads of curry gravy. Plenty on the leaf to share with my kids. Order for 2 adult, share with 3 kids. Marvelous. Marvelous. Marvelous.

This restaurant is regularly patronised by 3 races Malay Chinese and Indian. Staff is very attentive, quite comfortable to dine in the restaurant. It’s almost full house when I came during lunch time. My only concern is lack of parking nearby the shop, might need to park further away and have a lil walking

Entering the restaurant, immediately we were ushered to a table of 5. Huge crowd over Saturday lunch hours. Ordered 4 sets of nasi daun pisang and a set of biryani ayam special. Ordered few dishes and drinks, all amounted to RM77. Price-wise, super affordable. The helper played along with my youngest son. Their biryani rice was so fluffy, and the chicken (quarter) was said to be cooked with special spices and herbs. Parking may be a bit challenge, but no fuss, with the food that great.

One of the popular lunch place in Kuantan town. This place is a local gem, serving up nice and solid roasted meats that are totally worth the hype. Seriously, their roasted duck is something else – perfectly crispy skin and juicy meat, the char siew is pretty good too, that sweet and savory glaze with the slightly charred edges.

The roast meat is good. Char siew has enough char and fats. But the noodle stole the show! QQ texture, so delightful. Expect long queue, but service is fast.

The food quality and service are 茶餐室 level, but with cafe price. The meat of pork chop rice is quite tough, it felt like a workout for my mouth. The elderly people with weak teeth can't eat it. The apple juice, at RM8 for a regular cup, slight pricey. All the cold drinks are quite pricey.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon and ended up waiting 40 minutes just to try the famous curry noodles here. Honestly, I’m not sure how they’re surviving with such slow service and low table turnover — it really tests your patience. That said, the curry noodles were tasty, and the portion of yong tau fu was generous. Still, the long wait really takes away from the experience. Tip: If you’re planning to try it, I’d recommend coming on a weekday to avoid the long weekend queue.

I came here for the famous curry mee and it didn't disappoint me. The curry mee is tasty, flavorful and mouthwatering. Can't stop eating once the first bite. Rich with the coconut taste and yummss.. beverages are thick too that I asked for extra ice to dilute it. The only drawback is the waiting time. Waited too long for a table and for the food to be served. The staff are friendly to assist your request. Indoor and outdoor seating are available but it's hot sitting outside.

Food is good. They have a line up system to order - and one can only order when a table is available. Meanwhile if u don’t watch or “physically” stand in front of a table to indicate your interest, someone else comes along and slides onto a table recently vacated even through you are there first. And then proceeds to order first. The person behind the counter could care less who came first.

Biggest portion of Yong tau foo, freshly made and excellent taste especially to eat with the aromatic curry noodle. For this price and quality of food, it is worth every RM spent. The coffee and Cham taste authentic too. We also tried the bitter guard seafood noodle. Love the wine taste in the soup. All the staff members are strictly adhering to the COVID19 SOP and could be seen wearing mask at all times during my visit including the kitchen staff. Thumbs up and keep up the quality and hygienic food preparation.

It's literally the foodcourt in the jungle as the name suggests! But the food served is not what you usually gets in the jungle though. Hahaha. The place is big, as it open several years ago you can see the place has been run down by its own ages a bit. The place also has Nasi Arab Hadramaut on its right side, attached to the rest of the place with a closed shop lots. + points: various food available, from local dishes to western, nasi kukus, nasi ayam, nasi arab, yong tau fu & Murtabak Larkin were also available here. The drinks can be bought at its one stop drinks centre in the middle. The price is somehow rather cheap but depends on the type of the food itself whether you want to have extra this and that or not. Male Surau is ok despite its extra squeaky fan, toilet is rather well kept except for toilet number 2 which at a time got no latch to it. - points: seems like a rundown place, not so attractive. Been here on the weekdays also seems like nobody"s been coming here to eat. It maybe full on the weekend but during the time I was here only a few table were filled with customers. The shop lots in the middle of the place were closed too except for the one selling opposite of the road. *Extra Tips* Murtabak Larkin's Jumbo Cheese is literally a murtabak with cheese. Tried with chicken thus the cheesy taste really overcomes the taste of the chicken..

Foodcourt is open during the day till night. Some stalls open for both timing, but some only open during the day. Quite a good selection of food, and they are adding in more vendors and slowly upgrading the space. It's looking better. I come here every week. It's more packed during the day, but since there's lots of tables, seating has never been a problem. Recommended to come try the burger here, really tasty. The reason why this place doesn't get the full 5 stars is because the road in front of the food court is pretty terrible with a few big holes you need to manoeuvre around. But other than that, it's good. 👍🏻

This place is reviving again. I like to come here eat the noodle soup from Dapur Syafiqa. Their beef soup and chicken noodle soup very nice one. Got some other stalls to note. Nasi Kukus Juna is good. Food and drinks here all very affordable.

Been here few times already, the food court area is accessible for a wheel chair user although they don’t have any reserve parking for. Nasi kukus juna, nasi ayam and nasi ayam penyet is quite nice, didn’t had chance to try other food. However the nasi ayam penyet service was quite poor mostly due to their worker attitude.

Nasi Kukus Juna will always be my favourite. The taste havent changed since the first day I ate here. Very recommended. The price is only RM6.50 😘😘😘

Food : They have VARIETY of food. And all of the food that I tasted are actually pretty good. 🍝 The buttermilk cili padi spaghetti from kudapkudap was okay but it’s kinda sweet? The portion worth the price (RM11) and the service 👍🏼 🍚 The nasi goreng kampung taste average (but at least it’s spicy tho). The portion is also quite big. Satay Zul is the best like always but the service was kinda slow? (I guess due to many orders) 🍔 I bought burger benjo biasa and it taste okay ✅ They also have burger with special sauce (with different price) The parking is spacious and there also lots of tables (very clean). They also provide musolla, toilet and playground 🛝 !

古早味duck and char siew mee. I checked several Kuantan food websites and almost all of them recommended here. Cheap price and mediocre quality. I love the mee but char siew soso. Parking is a pain.

This duck noodle is always on my “must-go” list if I ever visit Kuantan. The noodle stall is located in a very small and old restaurant. So better be expecting a hot lunch. The noodle I had is slightly off its standard today, hence 4/5 for me

Roasted duck Mee in the town. Ordered Roasted Duck Mee with sausage. Tender Mee, roasted duck above average, sausage tasted good. Both young owners are friendly and helpful. Definitely worth to visit
