Excellent sirloin steaks with impeccable cooking. Meals vary in price ranges but are all good. The atmosphere is cosy, the pub has a large selection of cocktails, live music at 9pm... You can spend the whole day here, lots to do, drink, eat, talk and party 🎉

Outstanding food and an inviting atmosphere, topped only by phenomenal service! An expansive menu with nearly all the traditional Irish staples. The meals were delicious and arrived piping hot. Live traditional Irish music.

Busy busy night…Galway was hopping!! We tried several spots with over an hour wait. Luckily we stopped in Dail. We received outstanding food and service! It was busy but the team took good care of us!!
Bob K — Google review
We had a fantastic time here - great cocktails, warm and attentive service, and a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to settle in. We especially loved catching some dart games on TV while we sipped our drinks. But the real star of the night? The chicken tenders and sticky toffee pudding - absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for a cozy night out with great vibes!
Jessie D — Google review
Very busy pub with restaurant above. Food takes a little while to arrive, but is piping hot when it does. Serving sizes (children and adults) are generous. The cottage pie was quite satisfying.
D. D — Google review
The food here was really good, especially for pub food. The drinks were good as well, overall a bit pricey. A classic style pub in Galway with outdoor seating. The service was not the nicest though, which surprised me.
Ronnie C — Google review
Came here with my Dad today and had a great experience! The pub had a very cozy ambiance to it which we loved. The gentleman who seated us was very kind & polite, as was the lady who took our order. (Genuinely everyone working here was very welcoming). Food came out super fast and was very good! I had the Irish stew and my Dad had the roast of the day. Definitely recommend!

Stopped in for dinner. Got the wings as a meal with chips. Did the buffalo sauce. Excellent wings and sauce. My wife got the chicken and broccoli pasta which was awesome too. They have a great drink menus with traditional mixed drinks as well as their own spin on traditional drinks. If you are in the area, make t The Cellar a food and drink stop!

My experience here was great. Waitress was very nice and the food was excellent! I ordered the famous Spicy Chicken Sandwich and my wife had the fish and chips. Everything was cook really while. Highly recommended.
Tim C — Google review
The BBQ sauce is so vinegary that it's impossible to eat it or smell it. And the worst part is that the wings are served completely covered in this sauce. The wings themselves are delicious, but I had to wipe the sauce off the wings with a napkin to eat my dinner. Maybe someone likes it. But I personally didn't like it at all. Unfortunately :(
Юлія П — Google review
Great spot for pub food and watching sports. Great atmosphere. The bangers and mash were definitely 5 star. So was the stir fry with Cajun chicken a different flavor profile for sure but a good one.
Timothy B — Google review
Looking for dinner before the kitchen closes is tricky. Luckily I made it in time to order and the waitress was very helpful making sure I placed my order in time. I noticed two additional customers coming in behind me in the same situation getting similar good service. The soup of the day was satisfying after touring all day in the wind and rain. Ordered a take away sandwich and it also hit the spot.
Cyndi S — Google review
Very unfriendly and unprofessional staff in this establishment were serving a customer seems like a major chore to them. The turnover in staff is frequent and most of them look like they don't want to be working there. Would not recommend due to the treatment of customers by the untrained and unprofessional staff. Food is good, but no service with a smile... mostly minimum service with a grunt! Loads of other fine restaurants and pub grub in Galway to eat where staff or a lot more friendly to their customers.
Chelsea C — Google review
We had planned to meet friends at a different restaurant but plans changed at the last minute so we arrived at a very full Di Bella without a reservation and the staff were amazing, showed us to a quiet table in a corner which was perfect for us the food was amazing and was served quickly but by no means rushed. I highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara. The Brie was amazing. Will definitely be back.
Chris T — Google review
A very unusual disappointing visit. Ordered a steak sandwich, asked for no onions and came full of them. Food was also only lukewarm and forgot my peppercorn sauce with the sandwich.

Located in the lively Latin Quarter of Galway, Seven Bridgestreet is a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists. The bar offers an exciting lineup of local and international musicians in their live music venue called The Loft. With a late bar on Friday and Saturday nights, it's the perfect spot to end your week on a high note.
I really loved this pub and their food menu. I actually went twice in two days—first time solo and happened to catch their trivia night, which was a lot of fun! The next day I came back with some new local friends for a relaxed meal and chat. I tried the seafood chowder, boneless chicken, and chili nachos. My favorite was definitely the chili nachos. The chowder was a bit mild—could use a touch more seasoning—and the boneless chicken was okay, though the sauce was a bit too rich. I did really enjoy the onion rings on the side though! The pub’s atmosphere and spacious layout made it super easy to just hang out and enjoy myself, even tucked away in a corner.
Carrie G — Google review
Every time I passed by, I noticed that nearly every table had a plate of chicken wings, which naturally drew my friends and me in to try them. The biggest highlight of this place is its generous portions and affordability. However, the flavours of the dishes are just average. The chef seems to have a preference for adding sweetness to every dish—a reasonable choice on its own, but when ordering multiple dishes, the sweetness can become a bit overwhelming. The chicken wings were decent in flavour but too tough in texture. That said, aside from the food, I really like the atmosphere here—the space is spacious, and the music is kept at a low volume.

Seven Bar was our first stop for eats in Galway and it did not disappoint. Food and service were great! Fish & Chips, Smoky Turkey & Ham Club, and Crispy Chicken Nachos all were delicious!

Had my 40th birthday party in Seven along with my twin sister. Seven could not do enough. Huge platters of food and served it fresh at a time that suited us. Excellent bar, music was brilliant nice space inside. Food is fab. Bar staff are lovely.

Really good place. We tried food - the seafood chowder was one of the best we tried in Galway. Also the fish & chips was very tasty. Good selection of beers. We really enjoyed the evening at Seven

We walked in and were told to sit anywhere we could find a seat, then we would be waited on. Eye contact was made with four different employees, no one came over for 20 minutes though. Food was pretty good and very well priced, but service was really lacking.

Delighted with the experience. It was exactly what I needed after a long day at work (skipping lunch 😒). The place was very cosy, the service A+ and the food didn't disappoint 😀 👌. I've tried the Boss, and I am glad of my choice, it was unreal. It's definitely a place to go in Galway for a tasty burger. Thank you so much
Rovigo M — Google review
First off all, the burger was amazing! Honestly a great burger. Liked the bun and the sauce and the burger itself was of great quality and thickness. My main point of criticism were the fries. They look amazing on the photos in reviews but I think we got a bad batch. The fries were oily and not crispy at all. Extremely dark and looked like they had been soaking up grease. Looked like when you fry your homemade fries just a single time instead of parfrying once or twice before the final fry. Fries from other customers looked much better. A shame because otherwise it would've been 5 stars.
Nathan — Google review
We’ve eaten here before and it was good, but tonight was poor. Our fries were served cold, sent back, and returned only lukewarm. By the time fresh ones arrived, the meal was over. The server was polite, but the kitchen failed and management did nothing to make it right. Being busy is no excuse for poor food or poor service. Very disappointed.
Jonathan H — Google review
The burger was incredible, the quality of the beef and cheese was very good! The only thing that was less were the fries, they were a bit floppy but that might’ve been only our order, on the other tables they looked crispy. Still recommend this place 100%!
Michelle G — Google review
This place is amazing! Nice atmosphere and staff; the food was great too. I recommend getting the cauliflower wings and veggie burger with the falafel patty. Note that the normal fries are fried with some kind of beef fat, but you can get "veggie fries", which means that the fries are fried in vegetable oil.
Namita B — Google review
I was enjoying a rare night off work with my child and I ordered from here because know that the food is generally good and would be worth the slightly longer wait. However, when the delivery arrived, I only received a milkshake and a burger, neither of which I ordered. I contacted the resteraunt who confirmed that it was a mistake on their end, and kindly took my number and offered to send my food out. One hour later the food had not arrived (two hours after the original order had been sent). I rang them and their response was simply "sorry, uber eats report that they have fulfilled the delivery on their end, so you can request a refund from them". Thanks for letting me know...2 hours after my original order. Mc Donald's it is...I guess 2.5 hours of hunger will be the best sauce.
Grace C — Google review
Bad experience. I was excited to try some unique things here. The vegetarian mushroom burger was recommended by a friend, but there were none available when we visited. The alternative falafel burger was dry and cold, and while I appreciate having vegetarian options, I would not buy again. I tried bovril chips, which were a generous portion covered in gravy and pork shavings, but intolerably salty so I could only eat half, would not buy again. The honeycomb and marshmallow milkshake contained no honeycomb, and grated marshmallow that clogged the straw, would not buy again. And finally we were overcharged by €11. The ambience was nice, it's good that there were sauces on the table, and I liked receiving sweets instead of a mint afterwards, but I'm not planning to return to find out if their other menu items are better.
Philip B — Google review
Delicious meal. I'd recommend the western burger with Texas fries, the taste is amazing. It's a little pricey compared to a regular fast food but it is very good and the waiter is chill.

Takeout Restaurant
Nestled in the charming Spanish Arch area of Galway City, Lana Salthill Asian Street Food offers a delightful escape into the vibrant world of Pan-Asian cuisine. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere features ancient walls adorned with gilded metals and woven cane, creating a cozy dining experience. With an extensive menu that showcases authentic dishes from Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and China, diners can indulge in everything from flavorful Vietnamese Red Snapper to delectable Korean-style wings.
Great family-friendly spot with tasty food and relaxed vibes Visited Lana Salthill today with my family, and we had a lovely experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a clean, modern interior that felt both casual and stylish. The music playing in the background added a nice touch. Upbeat and mellow, setting a relaxed tone without being too loud. The service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient. Even though the place was busy, everything ran smoothly, and we felt well looked after the moment we walked in. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It arrived quickly and was clearly made with care. We all left feeling satisfied and happy with the experience. Overall, Lana Salthill is a great spot for a casual meal with family or friends. The combination of tasty food, good service, and a pleasant environment makes it well worth a visit.
Lourdes G — Google review
Things were suspect when we walked in and a man (claiming to be a chef) was sitting in the back arguing with the staff that his chicken was like rubber. We got a table next to the window (it looked like the window sill hadn’t be cleaned in a while- with all the gnats and bugs lying about). I forgot to take pictures before we ate, but there were no clean plates so you can see some of the quality. The chicken satay appetizer did have dry chicken- it looked okay on the inside, but the exterior was dried out. The duck had good parts, but also had parts that was over crisp and inedible. We also got a duck roll which barely had any duck in it- and probably came to the restaurant frozen and they just popped it in the microwave or fryer to serve. I do not recommend.
K S — Google review
It was OK…. I had the panang curry with noodles The noodles were nice but The beef was a bit chewy and overall everything lacked flavour. The service was quick and the restaurant wasn’t particularly crowded. It served it purpose for a quick and easy Asian inspired option near the sea front
Philip J — Google review
Just to preface that I have eaten here before and had no issues. On this occasion, I purchased a Spice Box but unfortunately the quality was below what I would call acceptable given the price. There were numerous black chips that looked to be cooked several times in dirty oil or else were left sitting under lights for too long. Probably won't be back and disappointed.
Honest R — Google review
Food portions are big. Thai style food is ok but need to add more thainess in to it.
Pracha P — Google review
I ordered two Superhero Kids Noodles, and both had large chunks of chicken that were extremely tough and hard to chew. Even as an adult, I struggled with it. Very disappointed and would not recommend this place.
Rebeka K — Google review
The food here is consistently excellent, especially the Thai green curry and boiled rice, which I’ve enjoyed every visit. Unfortunately, the service hasn't been good on my last two visits. Staff were inattentive, dismissive, and at times just felt they could give less of toss and I really don't know why, I like to think I'm quite polite. I always make the effort to say please and thank you, yet their attitude made it seem like I had done something to annoy them. It feels like the staff simply don’t care about their jobs, which is a real shame for the owner since the food itself is outstanding and they've done a great a job on the atmosphere. If the staff just put on a smile and got on with it, This place would be amazing and an outstanding experience for the price every time.
Philip W — Google review
Food was very good and delicious, i ordered roast duck dish but it was a little dry, so i feed it to my dog and ate the whole thing. But the Service was very good english, and overall the whole thing i liked it. I would reccomend cominf here again to feed your dog aswell, very good food to feed your dog.

€14 for some chips and buttermilk goujons. Goujons were flavourless and very bland, had an underlying off taste. Chips were very mediocre. Not good value. Staff were very nice however.

Small but adequate menu, food beautifully cooked and presented, staff pleasant and friendly. Long wait for meal, probably because it was cooked to order . Lamb burger and salmon burger, onion free as requested, very tasty. Good coffee
Mary M — Google review
Ask yourself right now - do you want chicken and gravy to die for? Strange question, yes. Is it life alteringly beautiful and tasty. Oh yes. The restaurant itself is nice, there is a high ceiling in the place that lends itself to an industrial vibe but overall the place is cool. The coffee is nice. The food is nice. There is nearly always seating, which is a thing because there is actually plenty seating but if you're in this area of town you know that delicious food can be found here so sometimes you have to que up for a place. The staff are nice although sometimes they do that really noisey thing with the cutlery as they clean it... My wife hates that noise. However, myself and my wife and 2 kids do overall love the place. The servings are big enough for an adult and a smaller belly to enjoy one dish but either way the food is reasonably priced. Well worth the visit and you have a small family you'll appreciate the space and friendly staff.

Known for its casual atmosphere, The Chili Shack offers an elevated fast-food experience where you can indulge in mouthwatering burgers and crispy fries without breaking the bank.
DELICIOUS FOOD! We tried them during our visit to Galway and were amazed. The chicken wings, wrap, and zingers were cooked perfectly and satisfied our spicy taste buds. I am very selective when it comes to wings and these guys are doing it right. The staff is very courteous and helped us navigate the menu. Highly recommend them.

Found a bone in my burger! And got called at around half ten at night and questioned about it! Yesterday around 6 pm I ordered chilli bean nachos and a chicken burger through Deliveroo. The nachos were decent but while eating the chicken burger I nearly chocked on a chicken bone that was inside it. I didn’t want to cause too much fuss so went onto the Deliveroo app and selected the something else wrong option to report it and chat with an agent. I chatted with a lovely agent Bernard who wanted to make it right and gave me the option of a reorder from the restaurant, a credit to my Deliveroo account or a refund. I chose the credit to order something else another time. I got an email straight away confirming the credit and thought that was more or less the end of it but I might report it to the FSAI at another time. The bone was fairly big and looked like half of the wishbone. But then at half ten pm I received a call from the restaurant through the Deliveroo Dublin number. I was a bit surprised to be called that late and answered thinking someone I knew was in trouble or something. But no it was the restaurant. He started off saying I was a regular customer and then asking me about the credit refund request. I told him about the bone but then he wasn’t listing to me and started asking me and questioning me why the option for incorrectly cooked items was selected for the reason for the credit. I told him that was what the agent from Deliveroo selected after the bone found and anyway that’s beside the point there was literally a bone in my chicken burger I could have easily chocked on. After that he started going on about how it’s a chicken breast and there couldn’t have been a bone in it. Felt like I was being gaslight. And I told him I had a picture of it and was so confused and upset by the call. Anyway after a couple of minutes of this questioning late at night he eventually let me go and ended the call. I’m writing this review just to let people know what happened. I didn’t make too much fuss about the bone when I found it and only requested a credit for the €8.80 value of the burger but then I got a shocking reaction my integrity was questioned late at night. Anyway food there is normally decent but how I was treated after was horrible.

Tried their new Buffalo Wild Burger at Chilli Shacks in Galway today and wow… it was spot on! Juicy, full of flavour, and the spice was just right . The staff were super friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. Place is really clean too, which I always appreciate. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re in Galway and craving a great burger with your friends .

Don't be fooled by the run forever outside. This shack is splendid. Smokehouse burger with bacon was the real deal. Smashed patty, with the perfect onion rings providing tons of crunch. Tex Mex chili had good cumin flavor. Had the chili fries with it, the toppings were awesome but it would've been nice if the cheese were melted.
Jon R — Google review
Really tasty burger! Delicious chili (I had Irish style fries). Price is a bit high IMO but comparable with the local places. No tap beer -- all canned. About my pic: that's fries, Irish style chili, cheese, pickled jalapenos, Chipotle mayo, chili flake and cilantro (coriander), and a like wedge! Four stars because of the (1) price, and (2) slow service. Staff was really friendly. But it did take nearly 20 full minutes to get my food (burger, fries with chili and beer). The restaurant wasn't slammed or anything either. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it to others. Slightly younger, *slightly* harder crowd but don't let it discourage you!! Even you Grandma!! Get that tasty burger and chili!

If you're in the mood for a juicy burger, Wholly Cow Burgers is definitely the place to go! The range of burgers on offer is fantastic and there's something for everyone. The chilli fries were a little one-dimensional, but that's only because they used too much vegetables in them - otherwise they would have been great. The Pastrami burger was amazing, though - definitely worth trying!
One of the best burger places in Galway, definitely in my top three. Food portions good, quality great. Outdoor seating available. Delivery available. Staff friendly and helpful. Turn around time for food 15 -20 min.
Padraic H — Google review
This is a nice place with a good, interesting range of burgers. The chilli fries were not my cup of tea but only because of the amount of vegetables in the chilli. The Pastrami burger was great though.

They do one hell of a burger and the BEST loaded fries. One of my top 3 places for a burger in Galway. The staff are also really friendly, which is always an added bonus.

Really great Burger!! Great pickles and tomato relish!!! I had the Lunch Deal which is a burger, fries and a can for €10!! Very tasty and will be back AGAIN!

Delicious burgers and fries. I ordered the blue cheese burger and loaded garlic fries with garlic mayo and cheese and devoured it all. Large portion of fries.
W L — Google review
Got a BBQ chicken burger with bacon. Didn't really enjoy the chicken itself. The fries were good. sauce on burger was average but probably the best place to go for a burger that side of town. Have only half hour lunch a bit slow if your going for chicken but a regular beef burger seemed quicker to get
Alan H — Google review
Hands down the best burger joint in the city. I have been everywhere for burgers and nothing beats a good Wholly Cow Burger. The meat is juicy and flavourful. The fillings are immaculate and not something you can just think up at home. Absolutely mind blowing. The fries are just something else, The Better than the Rest loaded fries are as the name suggests, better than the rest. Absolutely incredible. any burger on the menu exceeds expectations, but especially the bacon blue. Absolutely spectacular

Bubble tea store
Nestled in the heart of Galway, Bubble Bee Café is a delightful spot that transcends the typical ice cream parlor experience. This charming café boasts an impressive array of desserts and beverages, including rich coffees, refreshing bubble teas, and indulgent milkshakes. A standout item on their menu is the beloved bubble waffles topped with creamy ice cream—a must-try for any dessert lover! The ambiance at Bubble Bee Café is cozy and inviting, adorned with a lovely design that enhances your visit.
Cute little cafe. Great place for lunch or just bubble tea. They have a good selection of menu items. Had the pad thai, and it was very good. We are in Ireland for two weeks, and I needed something other than Irish food, and this satisfied my craving. Staff were very friendly.
Sinoun P — Google review
Walked into this street and saw the bright pink store. Got in interested how this bubble tea would taste so I got the Brown Sugar milk boba with tapioca. The price was fairly expensive compared to the competition in Ireland. It took a fair amount of time to get the drink. The straw was a bit too small even though they have an even smaller straw. My tapiocas barely fit through. Speaking of the tapioca, it was just a squish. There was no chew or a bite in existence. It also was flavorless. The milk on the other hand was alright it mixed well with the brown sugar syrup. That was a bit of a save for the rating. Overall a 3/5 experience.
Rafaël E — Google review
Last time going to this place. Ordered the 9.50 euro bubble waffle with two ice creams and sauces. My wife ordered another with different toppings etc. while eating mine I couldn't quite put my finger on what was wrong , but it had a sour after taste... To note my bubble waffle had come first. After trying my wife's one and letting her taste mine we could immediately taste that mine was sour whereas hers wasn't , they had used probably the last bit of an older batch on mine. When I had let the lady know behind the counter she said she didn't know as both were used with the "same batter"....sure as if I believed that. She proceeded to take a small bite of mine and said it was fine. I told her to throw it away as I wouldn't have anymore. That was the end of it and no further interaction while my wife was finishing off her bubble waffle while I waited with her inside the store. Not even a sorry or anything. That's how you lose business and have lost me as a customer. Hopefully it doesn't take closure for your business to wake up. I wasn't even asking for a refund or anything, just a simple sorry , but she lied that it was fine and wants to take zero accountability. Edit: I want to reiterate, I tried my wife's bubble waffle which is fine....I know when fresh cream is going sour. I even advised the owner that my wife tried mine and agreed it was sour. I definitely call them liars or perhaps the lady had something before trying the sour bubble waffle....look at the owners response still no sorry lol, thank you for justifying me never going back

An afternoon rest at the bubble bee Café is the perfect stop on a Saturday afternoon in Galway. I have the raspberry scone and a latte which I absolutely enjoyed. You should check the spot out it’s right in the center of town and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

We visited Bubble Bee Café and my wife really enjoyed the bubble tea—it was fresh, tasty, and worth trying. The café itself has a nice vibe and good service. The only downside was that parking nearby was a bit difficult to find, but overall, a great spot to stop in for bubble tea.

The best Kebab experience in Town👌 Family place 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Right at the heart of the shopping street. Fresh meat and salad, well made, nicely dressed, and polite staff. ALL PERFECT 🤤 Much better than the other two branches in the City! Highly Recommended 👌👌👌

There were 7 of us eating here. The food is just ok. There is more sauce on the chicken/lamb doner than the actual chicken/lamb. They gave us 5 portions of chips that non of us even ordered (nor ate them), but still had to pay for it. The guys at the counter don’t really pay attention to a customer standing and waiting to order until they finish chatting about something in their own language. No toilet paper in the bathroom.

The most delicious kebab plate I've ever had. The lamb was so soft, moistured that it's even hard to describe. And the waiter is such a lovely and chaty woman. She was entertaining two of my kids and they just loved her too.. amazing place at best price. Will definitely come back there soon.

Elephant & Castle in Galway has recently introduced a chic outdoor area called Malfy Gin Corkyard, providing both sunshine and shelter for guests to enjoy a refreshing G&T. Situated on the ground floor of The Dean Hotel, this stylish spot offers a diverse food menu for visitors to indulge in while basking in the stunning summer weather. Additionally, other new restaurants have joined the platform recently, offering delivery services to customers.
Excellent steak, delicious sauce, - looks crazy. Huge tasty chicken wings, Guinness was lovely to wash it all down. Superb service from staff.

The establishment is very beautiful, but there is not really a choice in food. We waited 40 minutes for our order, given that there were only 3 tables occupied in the room. Both our soup and burger were simply heated up. If you like to take pictures, you will like it. If you eat it, I don’t recommend it
Ukrainochka. A — Google review
A Masterclass in Incompetence – Truly Dismal Experience This was, without exaggeration, one of the most disorganized and unprofessional dining experiences I’ve encountered. Our server, who appeared either severely distracted or under some influence, took our drink order and then proceeded to loiter at the table in complete silence for an uncomfortable amount of time. So long, in fact, that a member of our party had to physically get up and go to the bar to place the order himself. This set the tone for the evening. When we finally ordered food—through passive-aggressive remarks from the same server—we were informed half an hour later that multiple dishes weren’t available. Several guests had to change their orders well after the fact, suggesting basic communication between front and back of house was nonexistent. Despite the menu clearly stating 2- or 3-course options, we were inexplicably told that 2 courses were “not allowed.” No explanation, just a refusal. The calamari arrived—five sad strips of it. My schnitzel, as someone who loves salt, was so aggressively oversalted it was borderline inedible. My partner’s burger patty? Charred beyond belief. Visually indistinguishable from an ice hockey puck, and about as enjoyable. The one passable item? The chips. But even a frozen bag of pub chips would’ve managed that. Dessert was no redemption. After seeing the disgraceful “sticky toffee pudding” (dry, cold, and completely sauce-less), I changed my order to a brownie—which prompted an unprofessional exchange between the waiter and kitchen, visible from our table. The brownie itself tasted like it had more plastic content than chocolate, reminiscent of something mass-produced and microwaved in desperation. To top it off, none of our drink orders made it to the bar throughout the night. We had to order them ourselves—again and again. This was not just a poor dining experience; it was a case study in how not to run a restaurant. I’ve worked across the service industry for 15 years and would be genuinely ashamed to have my name associated with this level of service, food quality, or hospitality. Unfortunately, The Elephant and Castle appears to operate with no standards whatsoever. Zero stars. Avoid at all costs.

Visited the Dean Galway Friday, July 12th, early evening. Had a drink in the little bar to the left of the entrance, then a couple of appetisers and drinks in the elephant & castle. The food was excellent, and the service was again excellent. I am gluten-free, and the waiter was extremely helpful. Portions were large, and we ended up taking home a doggy bag, which I enjoyed for lunch the following day.

We started our trip in Dublin and Galway was our last stop. We were very fortunate while in Dublin, a local recommended Elephant & Castle which is in the the Temple Bar area. My wife had the beet and pomegranate salad with chicken and goat cheese and I had the Salmon. Not usually a Salmon fan, this was one of the best Salmon meals I have ever had. Now many days later when we arrived in Galway and we searched restaurants and we were fortunate to see there was another Elephant & Castle there in the Dean Hotel. This restaurant was more upscale than the Dublin restaurant with a beautiful bar. The one in Dublin was louder and busy whereas the one in Galway was pleasantly calm. Our waiter Ciaran was attentive and after I had been in search of good fish and chips, he stated that their fish and chips would be a good choice, and he was not wrong. In the states we tend to drink more Cabernet wines and not knowing much about European wines, a bottle of La Serre Merlot was perfect. Ciaran also confirmed our choice of the Salted Carmel Fudge Brownie. We are real fans of Elephant & Castle and whenever we are near one we will make sure we indulge in their fine dining.

Quiet atmosphere with music so low it felt a bit awkward to talk. Service was friendly but missed small details—like enough cups for three people and no ice in the water jug. Food was great value for the price: pasta had excellent flavour and texture, and pizza was tasty (though could be crisper). Nice touch having hand cream in the bathroom, but there were no signs and the light was off when we went in.

What can I say, the food is just unbelievable, everything is packed with flavour and this is definitely my favourite place to eat in Galway. I love the corn wing things (pic attached). The staff and the service were great, place was busy but the food came out in good time and was nice and hot so I know it was all freshly made. Love eating here and I go at least once a week. We had Smashbird cater my sisters hen party and they absolutely smashed it! 🍔🌭🍗 The food was incredible – juicy burgers, perfectly cooked sausages, crispy tenders, and sides that were just as delicious. (Highly recommend the corn ribs) The range of sauces was amazing too – everyone kept going back for more! Our guests haven’t stopped raving about how good the food was. Couldn’t recommend Smashbird enough for any event. 100% recommend – you won’t be disappointed!

Got a Dirty Secret vegan burger (pattie is beyond). The burger was great. Came with fries (not sure if complimentary or this is how they serve the burger - thanks for the fries either way). The wait time was a bit long for me. I ordered my food at 16:12 and got it at ~16:36 (24min wait time) keeping in mind there were only 3 people ahead of me when I ordered (one of which had his food already in progress of being made). Had to ping the front desk whether my burger was ready as I was missing my train. He was busy chatting for quite a while with his friends. I ate fast in order to catch my train. Can't say I had time to enjoy the burger and fries.

Top notch burgers served here! Great pick for a delicious take out meal. The buttermilk chicken was especially juicy and delicious. This isn't ultra-quick fast food; our two burger order took about 20 minutes, but the quality meal was well worth the wait.

That has to be the biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent… I could name dozens of better places for better value for money with better flavour as even supermacs is a level above this… if I was to even be fair and compare it to other chicken places like MAD EGG in Dublin with better flavours and tables to eat at with service included at a better price. I will definitely not be returning!

This is probably the best cocktail bar I’ve been to. The menu offers something for every palette. You know this is a serious cocktail bar when they have about 5 different types of ice depending on the drink you order. The menu is really creative and ALL of the cocktails taste phenomenal, and are extremely well thought out, and all the ingredients work exceptionally well together in all of the cocktails.

Their cocktails were just as impressive - creative, delicious, and perfectly mixed. The service was top-notch friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. One of the best parts? We went to Mary Mullens for lunch at the weekend. The food we ordered was really good. We had a chicken burger, French fries, fish cakes and chicken wings. All delicious. The only thing that would put us off was the interior and the walls. Poor toilet facilities.

Great upcycled decor but the Mexican food could have more kicks. Portions are too big! But I would recommend going there, great service, good atmosphere, one of nicer places for eating out in Galway.
Iwona Z — Google review
My husband and I have been in Ireland for almost two weeks, and wanted a change of pace--Mexican sounded good. We found this restaurant via Google and decided to drop in for some dinner. Upon walking in, we were surprised that it didn't look like an authentic Mexican restaurant--no bright colors or really Mexican decor. Seemed more upscale than what we hoped for. The menu had a variety of Mexican dishes, but it all just seemed too "fancy" for what we were looking for. I ordered chicken fajitas (the waitress warned me that the beef was spicy/hot, and I can't do spicy!) and my husband had something with the beef. I found the fajitas bland (cheese would have definitely made it better), and my husband thought his dish was just "okay" too. We're moving on to Dublin next, but if we were to stay in Galway longer, I probably would not come back to eat at this restaurant again. It wasn't bad, but just not worth going back to in my opinion.

Hamburger restaurant
Ithe Smashburgers is a new addition to the dining scene in the Latin Quarter of Galway city. This eatery, located on Quay Street, offers delicious fried chicken and crispy chips with various tasty toppings. Some customers suggest improvements such as offering burger sauce instead of relish and adding cheese to each patty. Despite this, many patrons praise the friendly service and reasonable prices at Ithe Smashburgers.
The burgers were juicy. Not a fan of the BBQ sauce in burgers. But I should've mentioned that when I was ordering them. The service was excellent and the ambience was old school. It felt like we were sitting in a tavern from the 16th or 17th century. They've got a good collection of cocktails and wines.

Popped in last night for a quick burger and fries, a wonderful alternative amongst the pubs and tourists eateries around. Burgers were, just good, not great. My loaded fries were the star! Weird and glitchy self ordering menu, credit card charge kept failing, due connectivity issues.

It is a good place in Galway to grab a quick bite to eat. On a Saturday night, when tables were limited in the area, there were plenty of tables available. They also offered food later in the evening, which was a plus. I had surprisingly good pizza chips.

Went in with a friend for a quick bite to eat before our bus in 30 minutes, and we both got smash burgers. We were waiting at the table for about 45 minutes when my friend’s burger was brought out, which he said “tasted exactly like a McDonald’s burger” (not a good thing at €12.50 a burger). When the 1 hour mark of me waiting for my burger hit, I went up to the counter and got a refund. The staff had no explanation for why my food hadn’t come out. The only positive thing I can say about this spot is that they gave me my refund with no trouble. Left the place hungry with a missed bus.

We turned up a full hour before closure (11pm), but just after sit in finished - they had closed early with no notice and were extremely unhappy that we wanted serving. We asked for takeaway, the woman was incredibly unfriendly, just pointed us to the screen ordering. Once we got back to our hotel 2 minutes away, we realised we had an incomplete order so we went back - at first she denied it but then saw our missing burger on the counter. Instead of apologising, she virtually threw it at us and shut the gate! Food was nice, hence 2 stars instead of 1 - but in a city full of awesome people, this stuck out as a rubbish experience.

Not sure what others were expecting, but we found this place to have absolute best hamburgers around. The sauce they use is incredible, and their chips are fabulous. Not the place to go if you want old pubs or fancy food and dining, but worth the money to eat here.

Stopped here for a bite while doing tour training. Burger was excellent and fries perfectly season. John and Chris were also sound guys who gave excellent services. All round highly recommended to everyone
Luca C — Google review
Mediocre at best. The sweet potato fries were soggy and not cripsy at all. But the pratai chips my friends order came out crispy. The service was kind even though it is mainly a self service situation. I got the vegetarian burger and there was nothing smashed about it. Flavor was bland.

Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast, leisurely lunch, or intimate dinner, "Galway Bites" has something to satisfy every craving.
Food is excellent, staff very friendly, can prepare food according to your needs. No sit in available but they do have delivery service so no problem for me.
Adil N — Google review
DON’T ORDER HERE… Delivery took 1.5 hours, called the takeaway twice for an update and both times they advised it was out for delivery. No apologies from them for the delay. Food was soggy, chips were undercooked, they only gave 1 can of Coke after ordering 2. Will never get a takeaway from here again and I would advise anyone else not to either.
Shane M — Google review
Chips were uncooked and soggy. Strong after taste of bad cooking oil.
Patrick D — Google review
Awful service, food took 2 hours to arrive, rang after one hour and they said the driver was on the way, its a 10 minute drive! No apology, food arrived all soggy and sweaty, worst place I've ordered food from in galway
Chris — Google review
The "fresh cod fillet" is not contains any fish, 90% of it was breadcrumbs only. The chicken was uncooked and disgusting.
Zoltan C — Google review
Chips were alright the burger was way to greasy that it kept sliding of the bun and tasted a bit funny. Wouldn't order from there again.
Justin S — Google review
I would assume these hours are incorrect??!!! If not this place will be the most popular in the county/city 😍

The staff in mizzoni's pizza were very kind and the food was also great.
Nathaniel B — Google review
Ordered for the first time this evening. Will NOT be returning. A pizza base used for kebab instead of naan, so strange. Nothing tasted fresh. The chicken and doner were both from a bag and so fatty, made me feel so sick. Went straight in the bin. Waste of money.
Cheryl F — Google review
Personally wasn’t the biggest fan of the pizza, but at the same time great value and service.
Joseph C — Google review
I’ve ate in multiple mizzonis around the country and can hands down say that this is the best one. Customer service is excellent and the food quality is incredible. Would highly recommend anyone passing through Athlone needing a bite to eat to go here. Will be back again.
Robert C — Google review
Apart from the fact that the location on Google maps was hard to find, the staff was really nice and efficient. The food was good too 😋.
Lore B — Google review
