Stayed at this wonderful place for one night. Had the warmest welcome (in my life). Got greeted with a cold and fresh towel which was definitely appreciated after a long journey. The villa, the room, the garden. Everything looks so clean and just fits well. The host is very friendly and will help you with any recommendations regarding Sri Lanka. In the morning I received a fresh breakfast. Would definitely recommend to stay here!

Our stay at this property was nothing short of exceptional! The modern room was beautifully designed, offering both comfort and style. The location was perfect, providing easy access to local attractions while maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. The property offered many transportation options/recommendations and the use of a personal tuktuk driver to take us as and where we wanted with a 24 hour service! We also used the airport pick up service for a small fee. Breakfast was a delightful highlight, with great food that set the tone for the day. It was a mixture of standard English continental and Sri Lankan delicacies. What truly made our experience outstanding was the hospitality we received. The hosts, a wonderful husband and wife duo (Dulshan and Dilu) went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for. Their warmth and attentiveness made us feel right at home. Highly recommended—we can't wait to return!

We had such a lovely stay here, the hosts are extremely welcoming and so friendly! The rooms were immaculate, so clean and comfortable. The perfect last day of our trip. They recommended us things to do and really made us feel at home. This is the best stay we have had in Sri Lanka and we would highly recommend - oh and the breakfast was delicious!!

My husband and I stayed for one night after arriving at the airport and we have been truly impressed. Not only are Dulshan and Dilu the sweetest people on earth, the room, and the whole villa were exceptional. We got so many recommendations and it was just the perfect start to our journey in Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for the most delicious breakfast, you’re also at the perfect spot. We will be back for sure and book us in for more than one night!

We had the warmest greeting in Sri Lanka on our first day by Dulshan and his wife Dilu. We were guests at their beautiful house, located on peaceful street in Negombo. Extremely clean and has everything one could need. This wonderful family rent two rooms in the main house, and one with separate entrance. As we arrived early in the morning before the checkin time really exhausted, we were lucky and were upgraded for free and stayed at their “honeymoon room” which we loved. Breakfast was served in their home, freshly prepared by Dilu and was combination of continental and local dishes, accompanied by freshly brewed tea and squeezed juice. Dulshan is perfect host and gave us many tips and helpful information about Negombo and Sri Lanka. Also booked for us massages in nearby Ayurvedic spa. Definitely a place where we would stay again if we come back to Sri Lanka. Thank you Dulshan and Dilu

Villa Dominikku was a wonderful stay. Dulshan organised the seamless pickup from the airport and we were soon in the tranquility of the Villa. Dulshan is a wonderful host and Dilu’s breakfasts are magnificent. We loved our stay there. Dulshan showed how to use the Tuktuk app, Pickme which is great he also and arranged for our transportation to Sigiriya. All very easy and a great driver. Highly recommended

I had to book a stay in Negombo on short notice and didn’t expect such impeccable service from Dulshan and his wife. We were truly blown away by their kindness, the beautiful house and their outstanding hospitality, especially at this price! We were really sad it was only for one night. A great stay here, although we only did one night. Good location, easy to walk to some nice restaurants (although we ate at the restaurant located here, which was also great) and close to the beach. Airport was about 30 mins away by car. Owner was friendly and welcoming and it was nice to see his love of dogs too ☺️ would recommend 👍

Very nice location close to everything. The Beach is right across 1 street. The room was very comfortable and affordable. The shower was hot. The bed was super comfy. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Excellent Stay at Branch B&B! We spent a wonderful night at Branch B&B in Negombo, Sri Lanka, from December 19th to 20th. Our room was immaculately clean and well-maintained, equipped with air conditioning and basic amenities like a tea and coffee tray with a kettle. Although our booking didn't include breakfast, the on-site restaurant offered a convenient option to order food at our leisure. The staff were exceptionally polite, helpful, and made our stay truly enjoyable. The location was perfect – easily accessible from the main road and just a stone's throw away from the beautiful beach. We could literally cross the road and enjoy the sun, sand, and sea! Overall, Branch B&B offered fantastic value for money. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and affordable stay in Negombo. The only thing to note is that the area in general has too many mosquitos, which the hotel warned us about and also there is a mosquito net in the room. This is not the hotel's fault so I am not reducing any stars for this.

I was introduced to this fabulous place by my friend, during my vacation in sri lanka. The location ambiance and cleanness of the rooms was great and truly family friendly environment. The food served was topnotch convenient to customize as per taste. Most of all the owner and his wife was great help to me when my kids fell sick for a few days, they went beyond and helped me and treated me as family .Thank you & hope to see you soon.

The host was really professional and welcoming. The room was medium in size, with a nice, comfy bed and a little balcony. Bathroom was clean. The coffee they have is amazing. The owners are much famous for their restaurant. Served us a delicious breakfast. Although it needed to be pre-ordered, they made milk rice upon my request, bearing the hassle. Although parking seemed to be not available typically, they provided my car a convenient parking spot inside the premises as well. Very close to browns beach, where we had a good swim. The only draw back was the extra small cups in the room. Lol. All in all it was a very good place to stay for a reasonable price. Cheers.

I am a returning guest, and once again I really enjoyed my stay. The place is wonderful, very close to the beach, all the local restaurants, shops and bars, and only a short drive to the airport. There is a a private entrance and drive through the garden, which means you will not hear any noise from the adjacent street. The host is friendly, smiling and helpful and If you need something he will be pleased to assist you. The room is perfectly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was always nice. As a frequent traveller I highly recommend your stay.

Our favourite hotel in sri lanka! We stayed here for 3 nights before leaving sri lanka, and whilst it is a 15 minute tuk tuk to the popular tourist area, we found this to be perfect. We went out each day by tuk tuk, and then came back to relax. It has a pool, hot tub, pool table, lots of games, bar and restaurant and even a piano for the pianists. The owners and staff are very friendly and will gladly help if you need anything and there are a couple of very cute dogs that live here. The food was very good with a large selection available, as with the drink selection for great prices. Our room was perfect and had everything and more that we could need, including Netflix on the TV. A perfect end to our trip and we would love to come back

I arrived Colombo late night by flight, the owner here is friendly and waited for me til midnight, so I still can check in at 1am with advance noticed. The owner is so friendly and helpful, he helped a lot on my travel advise and comment about my itinerary. The room here is nice, although facility a bit aged, but they are clean. The bed sheet is not brand new, but it's clean and smooth. Internet speed with 10M download and 6M for upload, it's not super fast but stable

If you are not the fussy kinds, and you like home stays, you would love this place. .just a 15 minute drive from the airport, tucked in a nice residential place, this villa is a comfortable stays, with a pool And of course you need to be pet friendly, there is a lovely dog Janet, who will give you good company by the pool side June, the caretaker is very warm, and very efficient.. the food is delicious. We loved our 2 days stay

We had one night before flying out of Colombo and opted to stay near the airport. That was an excellent decision since it steered us to Palms Villa, this lovely B&B with owner Gary and his lovely staff and fun dogs. The room was very comfortable with the best bed linens I've ever had ( will be doing some purchasing once I get home). Everything was just tip top, plus a seating area overlooking a nice pool. We had three meals here, all well-prepared and delicious. Gary, himself, is a delightful person, which made our stay there even nicer. There isn't much within walking distance, hence only four stars for location, but it was nice to have a very short ride to the airport for an early morning flight. I would definitely stay here again.

Paradise! We only spent a night there as we had to catch a flight early in the morning, however that was the most peaceful accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. We’ve been to dozens of hotels around Colombo over the last couple of months and I have to say this was proper European standard. The rooms were shinning, the bed sheets were cleaned and ironed and smelled good. The mini bar in the room had plenary of drinks, the pool was clean, the kitchen was clean, European clean! The food was lovely the staff was kind and non invasive and spoke good English, the owner arranged a pick up for us in the middle of the night and even got up to say goodbye. Don’t waste your time looking for a place, that’s the one and only!

Nice but nothing special. Room was good with a clean and large bathroom. We had to swat ~10 mosquitos first thoughm Pool was the reason we booked, well-maintained and laid-back. Didn't try the breakfast. They told us they'd get a taxi to the airport in the early morning, but that apparently didn't happen so we had to find one ourselves. Good location since the beach is in walking distance.

Good location in Ngumbo. Nice pool. Toiletries provided. We had the apartment which has 2 bedrooms and could sleep 5. Kitchen had what we needed but was a bit basic. Free water on arrival. Didn't have their breakfast.

Stayed here for almost 2 weeks with my family and really loved it! Staff are so wonderful and friendly and accomodating. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which had a kitchen, washing machine, ironing board , tv, lounge ect. The accomodation itself is all well kept, clean and inviting. They also have a pool which you can use till evening thats clean and well maintained! So grateful we got to stay here and would recommend this place to anyone! Breakfast was also great and affordable!

Good sized rooms, very clean and comfortable. The pool is really clean and a good size. Staff are helpful and relaxed. We have a late fight tonight and it's been no problem for us to have a late checkout at a good price. Easy walk to restaurants and bars, but hotel is in a quiet street. Definitely recommend this place.

We had an amazing stay at the Green Wood Villa! The owner - and his cat named Mickey - were so nice to us! Also the breakfast was really nice. We would really recommend this place if you like a peaceful and warm welcome in Sri Lanka

Loved everything about our stay with Lucky and his family/staff while we were in Negombo. We booked here when we came at the beginning of our trip and enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked it again for our last 2 nights. Lovely breakfast, beautiful pool with a lot of sun, nice clean rooms with great wifi, and close to the beach. If we're coming back, we won't have to look elsewhere.

Great place especially when arriving late into Colombo airport. Close to beach, atms, good restaurants. Quiet neighbourhood. Very clean. Breakfast was great. Pool was clean and very useful. Highly recommend if you’ve never been to Sri Lanka and want to get over your jet lag and get your bearings. Good to land! Close to airport.

Wonderful accommodation in Negombo. Exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts, felt right at home. Despite a flight delay at night, we were picked up from the airport by the nice host. Very clean, a nice pool and very tasty breakfast! We will definitely be back next time!

Loved staying at Green Wood Villa. It was nice and clean, beautiful pool and gardens, lovely big breakfast. The hosts were so friendly, picking me up from the airport when I arrived late at night and happy to have a chat about Sri Lanka and things to do. Would recommend and come back to stay again. Stayed as a solo female traveller and felt really safe and looked after.

We stayed at the Bee Nest by chance when another guest house had been overbooked. The owner picked us up from the original guest house, which was great! We did enjoy the hospitality and the home stay feeling of the Bee Nest! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There is shared sitting area with a balcony. We had to work during our stay so it was good to have a place to sit down with a laptop outside of the room. The owner also runs a tour agency. We didn't manage to go due to time constraints, but he can take you to many places around the island. There is a beach nearby, accessible through a shortcut. It's a 5 min walk behind an old Christian cemetery. It's fine to walk, but not very pleasant. The beach is unfortunately dirty :( Compare to the south coat of Sri Lanka, here the sand and the water are not great at all :( maybe because of many fisherman, the sea was full of floating dry fish heads 😱 The sunset is spectacular, though!

We had a nice short stay at Bee Nest. It’s a Family run B&B. Very clean, new bathroom with a great shower and warm water. Air conditioner also working very well. Mosquito net is there too. The owner and his family are very welcoming. It was a pleasure for us to stay here :)

Fabulous place to spend a few days or stop after/before flight. This is the cleanest accom we have had in a month of travelling Sri Lanka (and one of the cheapest) Lovely family that run Bees Nest and Dinner(feast) and Breakfast we're fabulous. Wish we'd had a bit longer here we liked it so much

Probably the best room I stayed in Sri Lanka and the most expensive. The rooms are more than worth the price and the brother/sister controlling the house are very accessible. Ants inside the pillow covers were a major downside though.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the end of our trip to Sri Lanka. The owners of the B&B were kind and helpful, including assisting us in getting transport to a testing center ahead of our flight. The room was comfortable and clean, but it seemed like a lot of mosquitos got in no matter what we did. Location is good, off of the main road but within walking distance of sites and restaurants.

Hush Lagoon is a fantastic place to hang out with friends. The service was good,staff were friendly and made sure everything was taken care of. The location is perfect, with amazing views that really set the vibe for a relaxing time. Whether you're chilling by the water or just enjoying the atmosphere, it’s a great place to spend the day. One area for improvement would be the cleanliness, as some spots could use a little more attention. But overall, it didn’t take away from the experience too much. All in all, I had a great time and would definitely recommend it as a chill spot to kick back and enjoy some good views.

This Restaurant offers a perfect mix of great food, stunning waterfront views, and a relaxed atmosphere. The seafood is fresh and flavorful, especially the grilled snapper and seafood pasta. Cocktails are creative, and desserts are indulgent. While the customer service (Chandana) who served us is also perfect and very friendly the overall experience is well worth it. Ideal for a romantic evening or a peaceful escape by the water.

Dinner at Hush Lagoon 🫶🏻Tried the Nasiguran, Chopcy Rice, Prawns, and Deviled Noodles – tasty and satisfying! 💯 Great spot to relax by the water. Lovely ambience by the lagoon, friendly service, and good portion sizes. We went with friends visiting from the USA and they truly enjoyed both the food and the place. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a chill dining spot.

We went there for lunch on a Sunday, the service and the ambience was very welcoming. The food was good, taste and the portion sizes were beyond what we expected. Really friendly staff. Love the view of the lagoon from the restaurant. Would definitely go there again.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel J in Negombo. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, and the hotel’s location was perfect ,just a short walk to the beach, which we really enjoyed. It was also convenient for walking around and experiencing the local vibe of Negombo. During our stay, we also visited St. Mary’s Church nearby, which was a lovely cultural experience. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and we’d happily come back again!

Stayed for my first night in Sri Lanka and it was great! I had the basic room, and it had everything I needed, very clean and comfortable. I had both dinner and breakfast, and they were delicious. The staff was super lovely, kind, and helpful, especially Kalana. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Sri Lanka!

Joined a tour group here, had enjoyable night on roof top bar. Service was great and meals were yummy. Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and friendly. They had a very talented guitarist/singer

Value for the money. Good location and vibrant interiors. Somehow felt they could do better by adding doormats, toiletries etc as the floor was sticky. The AC in our room wasn't working either.

We gone there for family vacation. Affordable price rooms, comfortable, and great staff. The swimming pool close at 7:00pm. There are a lot of great restaurants around the hotel, and hotel has their own restaurants too.

Set in beautiful grounds with two sparkling swimming pools. The rooms are clean and functional with comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent, a buffet with mixed local and western offerings. It is a little out of the way but they have plenty of drivers and tuk-tuks. Highly recommend.

Good for a one night stay when we landed in the evening in Colombo. Simple/modest room was clean, they provided a crib for our baby. Friendly staff and pool and slide was a big hit with our toddler

We loved our stay here! Both at the beginning and end of our Sri-Lanka holidays. The kids absolutely loved the pool and slide! Rooms are clean and with AC. We thought the airport transfer + an extra transfer we asked from the South worked really well! Overall our impression is that the owners are very friendly and well organised! We even got a breakfast to-go as our flight back was in the morning and we were very thankful for that too!

Very nice and small hotel, close to the airport. The family owning this accommodation is super friendly and helpful, even making some late-night delicious dinner for us after we arrived. Also, they offer a very comfortable and free airport transfer.

Saman and Judith were incredible hosts! We had a wonderful time at Suriya Arana. Everything was spotless, and the food was full of flavour and absolutely delicious. The rooms were extremely clean, and the location is ideal—just a short walk to the beach. The pool was also very clean, perfect for an evening dip. We have nothing negative to say about the hosts. I highly recommend this place to anyone—it’s absolutely worth the money!

We stayed in Suriya Arana for 3 nights and it was exceptional. The owners make you feel like at home and the staff is so friendly and supportive. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the pool is nice and the dinner in the garden is beautiful.

First stop of our trip after 36h of trip. This was a welcome stop over. People are kind, food is good, rooms are correct and clean. The pool is small but quiet and clean while only 4 long chairs are available. Not far from Negombo beach to walk. Good location.

Lovely and a cozy hotel. Suitable for family and groups of friends to spend quality time without much disturbances. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Their food is really good too, especially the seafood and we saw they have an arranged a special candle lit dinner for a couple at their lawn. Dinner and drinks in the lawn area was such a nice experience with sea breeze. Walking distance to the beach and to the tourist areas, where a lot of popular bars and cafes are.

had spent in 2016 in this establishment. The room was already perfect. She still is nine years later. Sharmila is an extraordinary cook and her breakfast is of very high quality. Also ask him to make you a crab curry. This is one of his specialties. Sharmila and her husband Sampath know Sri Lanka inside out. They can show you the beautiful places, the good restaurants, the other hotels in the country. They are a very high-level resource. In terms of price, it is always very cheap, at less than €20 per night in a triple room with breakfast included. Who can offer better on the island? In addition to all this, you have a very warm welcome. I highly recommend it.

Great place, we used it when we we arrived in sri lanka. Really quiet area withe a lovely garden. You can watch birds and some flying foxes will visit the garden in the nighttime. The family helped us with planning our trip and renting a tuktuk. Great host and stunning breakfast. Will return at the end of our trip.

The family that runs the guesthouse is super friendly and they really make you feel at home. They love to have a chat with their guests and help them out wherever they can. We only stayed for 1 night unfortunately, but would definitely come back!

Sharmila & Shampath's homestay was the perfect start and finish of our Sri Lankan trip. Apart from being ideally located at a half an hour ride from the airport, Villa Taprobane felt like a home away from home. Sharmila & Sampath welcomed us with a pot of delicious, strong milk tea and gave us lots of tips to get around, places to eat, swim... Also, we could use the kitchen and the fridge to keep and prepare some food. The breakfast was freshly made and included lots of fruit. The garden and the house had a very relaxing atmosphere. We strongly recommend this place and, if we ever visit Sri Lanka again, this will be our first stop. Bohoma istouti, S&S!

It's perfect for your way into or out of the country. This place is close to the airport, so it's perfect for acclimatizing. Although the house is a bit farther from the center, it was perfect for us. The family running the business is awesome! They waited for us at 4am and gave us all the advice and support we needed. She's super sweet and welcoming! It's where they used to live, so expect a local experience. I loved the food they cooked!

Great one night stay after a long flight into Colombo. Transfer included - they got in touch few days prior to ask for details and if we wanted suggestions. Dinner and breakfast was homely and great. Only a small team of staff so allow them time to sort out requests.

I was in Sri Lanka for 10 days and this was my first stop; I did 2 nights here in room "Manel". The place looks really nice, the gardens are very well kept and the location close to the airport is very convenient. The water dispenser was very useful to fill up before outings etc; I think it would be good to highlight its availability to incoming customers. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The first night went great and during the following day my aircon stopped working; I didn't mind since I was mostly outdoors. I told the reception about it in the afternoon and they said it was a simple problem that they could resolve. Came back from a late dinner and aircon was still not working and reception was closed. So had a very bad night as it was too hot to sleep and there is no fan in this room. This would be a 4 star rating otherwise, my friends enjoyed it.

It’s a nice hotel at first sight, but not worth the money. The worst service we have experienced during our holiday in Sri Lanka. The breakfast is very limited, you do not even get fruits. In all other (cheaper) places we experienced better service and kindness. It is also a bit noisy because you can hear the planes.

Our first night in Sri Lanka! Perfect collection from the airport, about a 15 minute taxi drive to this superb small hotel. Our room was immaculate, with a beautiful pool right outside. The hotel is in a very peaceful setting and wonderful to relax after a long flight. The staff could not do enough for you, we asked for sparkling water with lunch, (which we are by the pool) they didn’t have it so the guy went in his bike to the shop to buy it for us! We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious, beds so comfy and we slept really well. Breakfast was also super. Suzanne & Leonardo were the perfect hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - we left feeling relaxed and ready to start our Sri Lankan adventure.

We had both our first and our last day of our holiday in Sri Lanka in the Villa Green Inn. It was a perfect stay. Nice big rooms, clean, very friendly staff, two pools and a perfect green garden and very nice food. Would recommend to stay here after/before your flight to relax.

Incredibly peaceful, close to airport, beautiful my dream home. Simply one of the best places I have every been. Incredibly quiet, peaceful, tranquil and just 15 min from the airport. Very convenient. They have 2 pools, amazing greenery, and it's the perfect end to what can be a tiring and busy trip in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend you ending your stay here as the last part of the vacation to recharge your batteries. We especially lived the old colonial feel. The house / houses are beautiful. Very well finished and well designed. You can switch on the AC, but the house is designed to cool itself in my amateur architecture knowledge so no AC is needed. They arranged a taxi to drop us at the Air port and also have a baby bed available. Very handy for the family. Only criticism is that a baby chair for restaurant would make that extra bit of a difference, and it would be nice to have a selection of cakes or scones as it's a perfect setting to have tea and coffee during the afternoon. 🤮🤢 The worst and the cheapest experience I ever had in a hotel stay. The management and the other persons are very low maintained, and their behaviours are disgusting. Room were really dirty and I was near to vomit when I saw the bathroom. We had to cancel our stay just bcz of the first impression we got when we visited the room. After that, we saw the actual behaviour of the persons who are maintaing it, they insult us in a very bad manner and it was like a nightmare to me. Do not reccomend to the locals and the foriegners who are looking for a respectful standard stay. Finally we realized that this place is maintaing for kind of another reasons not for the ppl looking for genuine stays. Me and my husband were lucky to escape. 🤮🤢

Here’s a suggestion for a review: I had a disappointing stay at this apartment. The food portions were far from adequate, leaving me still hungry after meals. The beach area was poorly maintained and dirty, which was very unpleasant. To top it off, the customer service was rude and unhelpful, making the entire experience frustrating. Only one person was helpful. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Ceylonica beach hotel is a normal hotel but you have direct access to the beach. The rooms are average in quality as well as services being provided. You have different varients with ac and non ac rooms. The only benefit is location, direct access to beach as well as close the main markets and street food joints. Price depends on the varients of room. In total it was an average experience in the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Worst experience. Cheap, but the quality is also not good. Air conditioner and shower were not working. The private beach isn't that private and not clean. Just good in pics. Not in real. Totally disappointing.

The villa is great on the outside. The garden and mango trees are beautiful. Since we don't wear shoes inside, the floor is clean. However, the bedding had a lot of stains and dust, and the pillow cushions had dirty stains. There was a lot of mold in the bathroom. The villa staff was friendly, but the accommodation was not as clean as I expected. There are many restaurants nearby, and if you want to see the ocean, you have to take a bus.

My experience at Rivora Villa has been wonderful. It's my first time visiting Sri Lanka, and I am impressed by the helpful and friendly staff. I genuinely cherish the atmosphere here. The rooms maintain a high standard of cleanliness and are neatly arranged each time I see them available. The front of the house features a stunning garden adorned with a diverse array of beautiful flowers that creates a visually appealing aesthetic.

Everything about this place and stay stay was perfect. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Included breakfast was good. And it is close location to train station. We got in at 2:05am at Colombo airport and the hosts were kind enough to pick us up. Would stay again if in Nagombo.

The best experience we could have. The rooms are so beautiful, clean and comfortable. After arriving in Sri Lanka very tired after our flight, this was the perfect place to recharge. The location, the people and the services are amazing. I'd highly recommend anyone who'd want to stay in negombo for a while. Only back fall is the fact that you've got to pay extra for the air conditioning and in some rooms the shower pressure is low. But the positives outweigh the negatives

We spend the first night in Sri Lanka here. It was hard to find but very friendly people and clean rooms. Breakfast was more than enough, half local half continental and some fresh fruits. Communication was a little hard because the owner's English was very bad

A nice air bnb, 3 clean rooms, a shower and privacy. If you want you can go to the terras and talk with the owner, he is friendly and provides tea.

A small homestay with great basic facilities for a family. Supermarkets, Negombo beach and some great restaurants and pubs are at walking distance. We started our Sri Lanka journey from here and got a lovely warm reception from the owner. They went out of their way to ensure that our one day stay could be as comfortable as it could be. Definitely recommended.

Such an amazing stay ☀️ The hosts are so kind and accommodating, the room was clean and it was the perfect place to rest and regenerate before leaving this beautiful island. The breakfast was everything we needed to start the day perfectly, and they arranged the taxi drop off to the airport for us :) We’ve spent just one night and it was raining a lot so we couldn’t enjoy the pool but it seemed very clean. It's very good place to stay in Negumbo. It's very near to Bus station. The staffs are very nice. Big Super Market is there in front, where you will everything Since it's new building Room are very well maintained. Few drawback like it doesn't have wardrobe and Shelves to hold our belongings.

Clearly this is a cheating as we know these days are season days and may be gave to sm other person for higher price... Poor customer care... Don't trust these kind of places....

Es gibt eine Küche bei der man auf Nachfrage auch den Wasserkocher benutzen darf. Am Aussenbereich kann man auch etwas verweilen

The hotel was very nice, especially for the price. It was a great lobby and lounge area. The restaurant was good, though we ate dinner and next day lunch a la cart and it wasn’t consistent. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Good variety of foods, both local and international, and some unique things that buffets don’t have often. We were there while they were doing some construction so that was unfortunate when we tried to relax at lunch there was loud noises from that, but I appreciate they are trying to keep the place well maintained anyway. The rooms were comfortable. We needed a triple room, and they tried to make us get 2 separate rooms, but we didn’t relent as it’s 2 small kids and 2 adults, so surprise surprise they had the ability to make a triple room! The hotel is right on the beach but it was unfortunately too rough to swim. It was so rough actually you couldn’t even jump the waves at knee deep, even that was too rough. There is a fish market just next door and all the sail boats so that’s fun to see in the morning. They have 2 pools, one on each side of the hotel which is nice, we didn’t have to go far! The particular area of negumbo isn’t so nice, decent restaurants were about a 10-15 minute walk. Overall great time!

Handy for the airport. Made the perfect start and finish to our Holiday. The pools are lovely and well looked after with rooms overlooking them as well as the beach. The surrounding area is a little rough and read but we found some bars with sand between our toes. The food at the hotel was great as was the service.

Stayed five days. Very luxurious room with woderful room service with supportive staff. Location is really nice. Unfortunately restaurant management is at a worst stage with very poor service. Swimming pool also not prefectly maintenaned, but it is at a slughtly fair condition.

Amazing hotel! Everyone is so friendly and kind. The views are just amazing! We did the channel and river cruise with the hotel and it was just unbelievable. Definitely recommend to see some beautiful views, birds and water monitors. Our tour guide was really friendly and taught us a lot. Thank you!!

We had a great stay, right from the fantastic welcome. Booked three rooms, all of which were lovely. Two lovely pools with beautiful views of the sea. We had an early dinner and all five of us loved it (although we couldn't quite finish it all as portions were so generous)

My friend and I were spending two nights at this location. Rani (friendly owner) arranged a taxi from the airport to our home stay. The family is super friendly. For two nights we payed €33, this price seemed fair to us for an accommodation in Asia, but... They charge more for additional stuff. For example fan wasn't working so we had to use the airco. They asked €8 per night for using it. We said we would only pay €5 for two nights Breakfast was €8 and dinner was €10. With taxi it was €98 (taxi was €17) This price is way too high. When we go out and eat somewhere on the streets (lunch/dinner) it’s always around €4/€5. The room was clean but, so if you don’t mind the high prices for food, then it’s ok. I guess ;)

The rooms are precious but lacking maintenance. The AC was not working properly took 3 hours to cool the room. Plumbing issue in bathroom, water flow is very low qnd sometimes no water when you are in bathroom. Far from party street.

The rooms have everything and are clean. The people working there were so helpful and nice! They even arranged pick up from the airport at night. Would definitely stay there again. She even told me that if I needed tips for exploring Sri Lanka that I could text her anytime.

We stayed in New Rani Inn and Rani and her family are such a lovely people and perfect hosts and they made us feel really welcome in Sri Lanka. The hotel and the rooms are very clean and the hotel is very near to the beautiful beach of Negombo. Next time when we’re coming back we will definitely stay again here :)

The nicest hosts you will ever meet!! Rani and her husband are super helpful, they gave us great breakfast every morning and they even cooked for us a homemade curry dish which was delicious. The room was spacious and clean. There was a mosquito net around the bed which was life saving for us.

I only had 16 hours here on the way to the airport with 04:30 start (they supply a packed breakfast) I will stay much longer next time. The food was healthy and delicious, the Spa treatment of high quality. The swimming pool is of 100m!!! Quite incredible. The staff are helpful and discreet. An extremely well run property.

Just returned from a beautiful 3 day retreat at the resort organized by Revive Holistic Wellness. This retreat was exactly what I needed & my stay at the resort was absolutely beautiful & has a calming presence about it. The warmth of the staff & their hospitality made it so comfortable to sit around & relax anywhere in the property aside from the super comfortable guest rooms. Fantastic experience at this high end hotel with two pools and a beautiful area overlooking the lagoon. The rooms here were really nice and spacious with beautiful outdoor bathrooms to enjoy the Sri Lanka vibe. They have poolside bar service and a beautiful food area overlooking the lagoon where you can sit and enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights before an organised trip and then returned for another stay after it ended. This is a wonderful property. I did a week long wellness package with full board and it was perfect for my needs. Quiet, adults only, skilled Ayurveda chefs, doctors and masseuse, excellent swimmingpool. It's set on the lagoon and 20 or so mins by car to Negombo itself and not really near anything except beach and lagoon.

The Heritance Negombo is a wonderful hotel. The location overlooking the beach is stunning. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed with great views. Service at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. I ate breakfasts and dinners at the hotel restaurant. Madu always greeted me with a warm smile and showed me to my table. Samantha, who served us, made sure our order was correct not too spicy. I was impressed by their hard work and attention to detail. In fact all of the restaurant staff worked as a team to ensure you enjoyed your meal. I will long remember the short but pleasant time I spent at your hotel. Thank you.

I stayed at the Sentido Heritance for 2 nights as part of a tour. The rooms were well-appointed and a good size. The pool and grounds were very nice. What really stood out was the amazing staff in every aspect of our stay. The doorman and security staff were always friendly and helpful. The pool attendants were very quick and responsive. The staff at BlueTan restaurant were especially wonderful. Madu, the hostess, had an incredible memory for detail and ran an incredible breakfast staff. A particular shout out to the omlette station staff and to Thurani who made perfect tea and coffee. In the evening, Pasa and Sandun made our dinner experience very pleasant with their attentiveness and smiles. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a good one.

Usually my stay has been good,But my last trip was horrible Never book Budget rooms as you can’t even sleep for 10 minutes.Ac is not cool enough and you can hear noises from other rooms.

My stay at this hotel was highly disappointing. Unfortunately, I had limited options. I paid $85 for a 6-hour stay, which, in hindsight, did not reflect the value of the service and accommodations provided. The room was below expectations, and the bathroom facilities were subpar. Overall a really bad experience

The transit hotel is located inside the airport on the 2nd floor. The price is steep and they're are very unapologetic about charging this exorbitant price for a very basic room. Srilankan airways, although they, claim that they'll give free accomodation to their passengers if layover is more than 8 hours but they send them outside the airport for this free stay. Imagine that a passenger needs to get immigration done so that he can avail 4 hours of rest and then go back and again immigration process needs to be done to travel again to his destination. If you're a lady traveling with kids, it's very tedious to finish this formality for a few hours of rest between your travel schedule. Totally unnecessary! Coming back to the room, in a standard triple room you will get three small bottles of water and a towel each. The staff will start calling you again and again to vacate the room even when you tell them you'll check out on time. So much money spent and they don't have any courtesy. They take advantage of the fact that most will not opt for immigration process and stay back. Disappointed.

Best hospitality in whole Sri Lanka. The host makes you feel at home straight away. I got water and a coconut on my arrival. The dinner supposed to be chicken fried ride, but it was much more. It came with Dal, Hoppers an fruit. Also there were water bottles in my room for free. Very nice stay for one night. They pick you up and drop you off at the airport for free, which is amazing! Thank you!

We stayed here for one night, and the only good thing was the friendly staff who picked us up at night. However, the quality of the premises was a huge disaster. They looked nothing like the photos on their website—the sheets and blankets were dirty and stained, and the walls were covered in strange spots. Unfortunately, we were so tired from our long trip that we forgot to take photos. The rooms felt more like a shed than a hotel. Maybe the owner has different types of rooms, which could explain how some people gave good reviews, but I honestly can’t understand how anyone could rate what we got positively for the price we paid. I do not recommend this place. If you have time to plan in advance, try to find something

Very nice place to stay, i just had 22 hours in Srilanka, and booked my room in A4 transit hotel was my best decision, because Terin was sooo nice and very helpfull. Got my super clean room, delicious food and Terin gave me city tour by Tuktuk as well. Alsooo Terin gave free ride from and to airport. Such a nice experience. Definitely Will come back to Srilanka and Will be spend more days.

We wanted to book a simple room to sleep after our flight to Colombo. We got a free transfer from the airport to the hotel at 2am and a very good welcome beer. There was also a very good breakfast included and the whole family who run this business is so nice and friendly. He also organized a good driver for us. All in all such a great stay and we’ll definitely come back

Great stay! The accommodation is very clean & nice, super close to the airport, good food & very nice & friendly owners. As a female solo-traveller I felt really safe here & the owner even picked me up for free from the airport (when I arrived from Colombo by bus) & brought me again to the airport when my flight was early in the morning. Got a welcome drink & even when picked up from the airport the owner had a water bottle ready for me. Highly recommend! :)

Dickmans is an excellent small resort most suited to LGBT guests and like minded people. The rooms, pool and ground are very well presented. The service is outstanding. The resort is a short distance from good restaurants and the beach. Breakfast each morning is served in the garden and lunch and dinner are available if required.

My second time staying here and I'm already looking forward to coming back! Dick and team are always a delight. The accomodations and property are just lovely, with gorgeously appointed rooms, a spacious pool, absolutely delicious breakfast, and a wonderfully chill vibe. Thanks again for a fantastic stay. 🙏

Wow, I simply cannot recommend this anymore. For the first time in my life - I felt comfortable enough to just sit by the pool and do absolutely sweet FA for three whole days. It was magical. The staff are absolutely brilliant and kind and wonderful and if you lay at the pool long enough bring you juice and cake on the house! Oh yeah, the fruit plate by the pool everyday is life affirming. 24hr entry, 24hr bar a HUGE pool which is nice and deep, massive rooms, massive ultra comfy bed. Dickmans is the Oasis in the mirage. Ps, they have two adorable tortoises.

Best place we stayed on our 3 week Sri Lanka journey. As other reviews state, the feeling of being in a welcoming “home” is so lovely- the staff are kind, helpful and delightful and the attention to detail is second to none. Loved the pet tortoises SO much. The pool is delicious. Miss you already, Dickman Resort! See you next time :)

Great boutique hotel in Negombo. Our best experience in Sri Lanka. Stayed in beautiful Mango Suite, luxury bed, rain shower en suite, all toiletries, towels and endless hot water. The guys that work here are a delight, genuinely friendly and super attentive. Great food, Great ambience. 100% recommend

The staff is beyond exceptional, the breakfast is incredible, and the Room is immaculate (try for the Aqua Room - there’s a tree in the bathroom). They also have a great pool, 24 hour bar service, and is about a 4 minute walk to the beach. Several restaurant options are at the ready as well. You absolutely can not go wrong with this place. Do yourself a favor and book a room immediately …above 5 starts !!!

How anyone could ever score this place under 5 stars is crazy to me. I have worked in the hotel industry in Copenhagen for around 10 years and I am so impressed by this place. Stayed here for the last 5 nights of our 4-month Asia trip and could not have had a better time!!! The staff is some of the most attentive and genuine people I have met. The owner should be very proud of his team - not one person wasn't amazing :-) Worth mentioning, other than the amazing staff: - Room was big and was very quiet - Pool area is fantastic, the pool is always clean and the staff will bring you anything you might need - Breakfast is super tasty (we had the Sri Lankan breakfast) and you can have it up until 12, which we appreciated alot Thank you SO much to all staff at Dickman Resort! We stayed at The Light House Negombo during our Avurudu holidays as a stopover, and it was absolutely the perfect place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We had 2 days stay at this amazing place. We traveled with our 18 month kid and The terrace room is like a home and has everything that you need. Though they had Limited food menu, all the dishes are perfect. We traveled from India and didn’t know the language. Ranjith bro sorted out everything for us.. from suggesting which food to have, places to visit, arranging cab/auto, attending us in room. He made us feel like we are home. We missed to take our bag and left to airport. He arranged an auto to deliver our bag to airport. What a kind, polite man! They say people remember you for your kindness and so we will always remember him and this place❤️

Stayed over one night. Stayed over with a group which booked 3 rooms. We took the family room 301 which had a massive two bed and another adjoining room with 4 bunk beds. Had a nice big balcony with a jacuzzi and sitting area. Due to rain could not utilize the space as we planned. Rooms have all amenities. Positives 1. Nice property. Big spaces indoor as well as outdoor. 2. Very friendly staff. 3. Amazing food. The cook made a pork curry which was divine. 4. Pet friendly. We took our puppy on the trip. 5. Main pool plus two rooms have Jacuzzis. Negatives 1. Electrical system is disastrous. In our room tried to use the microwave and a side of the power went off and was never able to restore. The bunked room bathroom light was tripping off and had to use the bathroom without the light. When we were about to leave suddenly got a smell of burnt rubber or wiring, which made us off the trip. Feel there is a major problem with the wiring system which might turn to be dangerous. 2. Unclean. Feel the place unclean. Since they have carpeting, it is stained all over. The chairs and sofas too are stained. The glass around the property should be cleaned at least once a day. Even ground floor living room glass facing the sea is stained with sea breeze which can be washed off once a day . Same with upper floors. High pressure water hose would do the trick. 301 room outside jacuzzi was unclean and we did not want even to ask them set it up as felt it would take a bit of time to get it cleaned to our satisfaction. 3. Very uncomfortable seating at the Dinning table as well as the living room. Very big furniture which are uncomfortable when seated. 4. Food deliveries. We informed the property of the need of a barbecue for the night. But due to the rain could not get it done and then we had to look for alternatives since the kitchen was not supportive in giving alternatives. None of the main food outlets deliver to this location as it is a bit far from the food outlet locations. We tried pizzahut, Dominos, Dinmore and couple of others. Plan your dinner properly if not you will go to bed hungry. 5. Seas is right in front,but you cannot walk on the beach as it is rocky. Don't plan any beach walking or sea bathing. Only the view of the sea from the property.

I tried to booked this hotel’s day-out service and called repeatedly over the last month to confirm. They verbally confirmed availability but canceled at the last minute (on Oct 6, 2025), leaving us without plans. Unprofessional and unreliable — would not recommend unless they fix their booking system and train staff.❌

The location is beautiful and the food was delicious, but the service was poor. The staff was innocent but they didn't know how to have genuine conversations with guests. The beach is polluted with polythene and plastic, and the maintenance seems poor.

Can't describe in words such a wonderful experience me and my wife had. From the time of check in till the check out period. Hotel with modern facilities such as lift, swimming pool, rooftop bar and many more. The rooms are big enough with modern design. That welcome juice was good enough to know how good it will be to stay. Staff is super friendly and cooperative. Sea view from the terrace is breathtaking. Much better facilities then the hotels in Europe. Highly recommended place to stay with reasonable price. Thank you for all the staff for giving us best service.

I stayed at Hotel Sico for 2 nights. was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. A 5-minute walk to Negombo beach - perfect for early morning strolls. The location is a big plus—tucked away in a quiet nook surrounded by other good hotels, so you get the convenience without the noise. Room - spacious, clean, matched the descriptions and photos on Booking.com exactly. nice view from room/balcony....can see the ocean strip. Pool area was well maintained, there’s a rooftop bar with lovely views, though I didn't spend time in it. Staff - friendly and helpful. The amenities offered were value for money. Easy to reach from the airport. The breakfast could be improved - it’s a fixed menu with limited variety, taste didn’t quite match the rest of the hotel’s quality. Basically clean, comfortable, well-located, and professionally run. I’d rate it 8/10 and would stay again if am in the area.

Great hotel after 2 weeks of backpacking. Lacking some finer details in the rooms loose taps. Breakfast was great, would definitely stay there again. Good value for money.

Hotel Negombo service was wonderful and made us feel like home. Spacious rooms, very comfortable beds and great showers. Negombo though probably best only for one night as a transit location.

We stayed here in May 2025 for 3 nights and loved every aspect of our stay. Airport pick up at midnight was greatly appreciated. The room was spacious, with a great shower and bathroom amenities, aircon, room safe, complimentary bottled water. The hotel is well maintained by a delightful staff, and Mr Gomez himself goes to great effort to ensure every guest is well catered for. Tours, transport, massages were organised with minimum fuss. The breakfast was both generous and delicious, and served promptly and efficiently by the staff. The pool was immaculately maintained with sun lounges and towels provided. We will definitely return if we come to Sri Lanka again.

September 2025. Seven days of pure bliss. Upon arrival met by Mr Gomez and his staff. A magnificent large large room. Ac, fridge, safe, coffee making facilities, tv and a comfortable bed, a huge bathroom with a great shower, my own private balcony locking over a beautiful pond. A tour of the magnificent manicured gardens ( a credit to the staff caring for the gardens). A great swimming pool deck chairs and towels supplied. A short flat walk 5 minute walk to bars, restaurants, coffee shops and the beach. Mr Gomez and his staff could not be more helpful. Mr Gomez and his staff made a great holiday into a magnificent holiday not to be forgotten. Thank you. I shall return.

This place is a peaceful retreat, perfect for anyone in need of a quiet escape. We have just finished our second trip to Sri Lanka and I think it' fair to say we saved the best until last. Gomez Place is truly a quiet haven, a retreat from the hustle and bustle from the outside world. We were made so welcome here. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was huge. The bathroom something perfect. I can recommend Gomez Place for anyone seeking a bit of luxury, you won't be disappointed

The rooms was disgusting, especially for 25€ per night. I didn’t see it at first but there were so many stains on the bed which was so gross. The bathroom wasn’t that nice either and the stream of the shower was something else. The worst part was that they only had a fan and I can not express how incredibly warm it was in the room. It only get‘s two stars because the staff was really sweet.

My stay at Ocean View guest house was very pleasant. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, followed by the friendly service. Their helpful and friendly staf made my stay very memorable. Location is very convenient, just walking distance to the beach, very close to the city center and to all other attractions in Negombo. Overall very nice experience and very high value to the price. I can highly recommend this place to anyone who visit Negombo!!

Was here for some days, and im very glad i book this hotel. Just next to thw beach and near the mainroad. I also left my smart watch here and called the day after. I went back and got it. The staff is just so amazing.

Nice place to stay during your days in Negombo. It is perfect for both:the first or the last day of the trip because is 20 min far from Bandanaraike Airport. They have fans, ac and non ac rooms, clean bathrooms and, although they have wifi connection the signal is very poor or non existent at all(room n4). They provide shuttle service to the airport from very early in the morning by car. Price for 1 night in non ac room and shuttle to the airport :5000 LKR.

I stayed in 2014 as well now, 2016, so I can compare. First of all, their great points are: 1. Location near airport - you dont stay stucked in trafic jam as on the way to Colombo 2. Clean batrhroom and linen. 3 They can arrange transport as you wish, car, tuktuk, only what you need, is tell them what do you expect - airco, price. If you disagree, it´s fine. 4. As most international flights are around the midnight, they do not have any problem ,,keep eye´´ on your backapck during your last couple hours before your departure and you can enjoy last hours on beach or spending your last rupees on souveniers. About price, if you book via some web search tool of course that price is higher than must be. Sometimes is better call them directly and try make a deal. And as usually, confirm the price before move in :) Despite the name, there is NO Ocean view, accomodation is situated near road, so you view is into the nex line of guesthouses and they actually have ocean view. Slowly, but obviously (2014/16) room starting need some basic maintenance for example cleaning properly fan from dust or spiders web, socket - try all of them before move in and doors are a bit damaged by humidity, especialy from bathroom.

We had a wonderful stay in Negombo! The accommodation was perfect for our family. The pool was very clean and inviting — our child especially loved spending time there and felt very comfortable. The hosts were extremely friendly and always helpful with any questions we had. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. There are also many good and varied dining options nearby, offering a wide range of local and international dishes. Another big plus: the accommodation organizes a convenient airport transfer, which made our arrival and departure stress-free. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Very friendly owner. Very good location. They have a pool. Breakfast is very simple. Toast, marmalade, sausage and fruits. Juice, tea and coffee is also available.

I can’t really understand the good ratings We had the family apartment. Our apartment was dirty when we arrived- everything was sticky, the fridge dirty, hair on the floor, the towels full of stains and not properly clean- one was even already used. The mosquito nets were full of holes and not usable. The sheets in the bed were only 1mx1m, so too short to get you covered. We had massive cockroaches in our room. The pool was milky and dirty. We did not dare to get in. The deck chairs by the pool were broken. We left after one night instead of 3 which we booked. Only way this hotel deserves a star at all was for the flexibility that they would let us leave and pay one night only instead of the 3 booked The location is ok though. Close to the beach

We enjoyed the pool. It was very clean and well kept. Clean accommodation. The service was friendly. Price is reasonable. However the amenities were inadequate. ie. kettle without coffee and tea. Shower without bath mat. Room without hooks. Bed without extra pillows. Coffee cups were taken for washing and never returned. And we recommend shower screen as well to reduce slipping and fall.

Located about a 30-minute drive from Colombo Airport, we arrived at Holiday Fashion Inn just after midnight, which felt like 4 a.m. Sydney time for us. Exhausted from our journey, we were warmly welcomed by the host, a kind and gracious Sri Lankan lady. Although there was no one available to assist with our heavy luggage up three flights of stairs, the host immediately took the initiative and carried my wife’s suitcase herself, which we greatly appreciated. The room was extremely basic. The air conditioner had not been turned on prior to our arrival and took around 20 minutes to cool the space. However, the mosquito nets over the beds were a welcome sight, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep. We were up early the next morning and enjoyed a delightful Sri Lankan breakfast, including fresh fruit juice, pancakes, a fruit platter, eggs, toast with jam, and a lovely cup of Sri Lankan tea. After breakfast, we had a pleasant conversation with the hosts, a charming older couple who made us feel at home. Though we didn’t have a chance to use the pool, it looked inviting. In summary, while the hosts were lovely and the breakfast was excellent, the proximity to the airport is the biggest plus. However, on our last night in Negombo, we stayed at another hotel with a similar price range but found the bedding and facilities to be of higher quality.

OK. The family who run the place are friendly and breakfast was reasonable. But the room was basic and of somewhat dubious cleanliness. You get what you pay for in pricy Negombo I guess.

Honestly, the front desk service here was the worst I’ve experienced in all of Sri Lanka, and I’ve traveled the entire country. The staff seemed completely untrained, unprofessional, and shockingly rude. It felt like they had no idea how to interact with customers — almost like they had never worked in hospitality before or simply never went to school. Instead of offering help or basic courtesy, they responded to simple price inquiries with aggression and arrogance. If you value respect, transparency, and good service, I strongly suggest staying elsewhere. There are plenty of better options in Negombo where guests are treated with basic human decency

**People Being Fooled on the Basis of Budget Stay – Avoid This Place!** We booked *Sea Breeze Guest House, Negombo*, expecting a simple but comfortable stay based on the photos online. However, the reality was far from what was advertised. The pictures are completely misleading—the rooms look nothing like what is shown, and the actual condition is far worse. The biggest issue was the heat. The **non-AC rooms are unbearable**, with a tiny ceiling fan that barely circulates air. Staying in the room for even a short time was suffocating, making it impossible to get any rest. If you’re thinking of booking a budget stay here, **avoid non-AC rooms at all costs**—it’s not worth the misery. On top of that, the receptionist was rude and arrogant, showing zero concern for guests' comfort. When we raised our issues, we were met with dismissiveness rather than any attempt to help. The attitude alone was enough to ruin the experience. If you’re looking for a stay in Negombo, **it’s better to spend a little more and book an AC room at another property** rather than suffer at this pathetic place. Don’t fall for the misleading photos—this guest house is not worth your time or money!

It was unbearably hot, with nothing but a tiny ceiling fan that barely moved the air. The suffocating heat made it impossible to rest, and when we raised our concerns, we were met with more indifference and attitude from the receptionist. It was clear that guest comfort was the least of their priorities. Frustrated and disappointed, we decided to cancel our stay. The room was nowhere near acceptable, and the staff’s behavior made it clear that staying any longer would only lead to further frustration. We booked another place nearby and were relieved to leave. I would strongly advise against booking this guest house. There are plenty of better options in Negombo where you’ll be treated with basic courtesy and provided with comfortable accommodations. Save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere!

I called this place just to inquire about room rates, and the owner responded in an aggressive, rude manner. When I mentioned my budget, instead of simply saying “sorry, we can’t match that price,” he started demanding that I tell him where I could find such a price and kept pushing for answers. Extremely unprofessional and unpleasant experience — I wouldn’t recommend contacting this place at all. Plenty of nicer, more respectful options in Negombo.

Sea Breeze is in an excellent location and is a safe space for solo female travellers. The service was excellent, both Vishan and Marlon went the extra mile. They have good knowledge of places to eat good local foods, sightseeing and travelling. They also provide baggage storage at cost. Low rating for room is due to dated ensuite.

The owner kept calling and messaging me, demanding to know where I found cheaper rooms. He wrote: ‘Show me the address where you can find AC room for 3000 LKR.’I mean why ?I just simply tell them my begets,and they r so mad about it ?I don’t understand

This is a lovely place. The rooms are very clean and cozy, the owner is so kind and will help with anything. there is also a nice kitchen and its on the beach. I had such a great experience. I was also having some trouble with my credit card and dana the owner was amazing!! He brought me food until i fixed my situation and was making very good tea. Also they have a tuktuk servis so if you knead a ride you don't knead to go anywhere. I recommend this place so much!the best service.

I felt like home immediately the atmosphere snd the energy is so calm and peaceful. Dana and his father very kind to help in any way . The rooms are spacious and clean . Even with no ac i slept perfect. Just 5 meters from the beach. And also they offer drop off to the airport. Also Dana father offer city tour for negombo . Highly recommended. Hopefully see you again Dana.

We were able to check-in after midnight; flexible staff (owner had to wake up for us). Room was tiny. Bathroom was kinda inconvenient, cause everything was getting wet after taking a shower (no wall or showercurtain). Breakfast was continental (no sri lankan breakfast possible) and simple compared to other guesthouses, and therefor kinda expensive. My friends stayed here and the owner was nice enough to let us come & hang out the last 2 night we were all in Sri Lanka. The rooms are very nice & clean with comfy beds and a powerful AC. Great showers & mini fridge. Lots of room to sit & talk & eat together. They arranged a decent priced shuttle & took us to get dinner late at night!! Very sweet & very helpful staff all around. They even bought us a wine opener so we could open our wine bottle. Absolutely recommend this place. Only tiny down side is that it's super close to the fish market so the outside smells strongly of fish. However you do not smell that in the rooms.

I love my place so simple and it was like your in Japan while your in Sri Lanka. The staffs were so good and accommodating. The place was well kept and organized. I had a chance to ask for specific food by the chef. Wi-Fi was not a problem and you feel safe. They pick me up from the airport and I felt secured while traveling solo. I'm so grateful and Thankful to the staff and specially to the chef.

Awesome property close to the airport. We got a free airport pick up and it was a great start to our Sri Lanka holiday. Mr Anura and his team arranged also further transportation to Kandy at very reasonable rates. The rooms here are spacious and the hotel is just a few steps from the beach. We hope that in future that there will be a pool as this will make the experience complete. We can recommend this property and will be back in future for sure.

One of the best hotels in Negombo to start or end your Sri Lanka tour including free airport pick ups/drops. The team is just so welcoming and the food was tasty. The rooms are clean and spacious .. the only thing missing was the pool which the team said might come next year. We can highly recommend this place if you want a quality sleep.

First accommodation in Sri Lanka. Hotel was cosy, great breakfast, but the best was, that we had a transport from airport (it was really nice). Somebody can matter, that we didn't have windows on room, only small in our bathroom.

They picked us up from the airport in the middle of the night for no extra charge. However the room was not clean, there were big bugs in the room and the hotel is far from the city. We had troubles getting something to eat in the vicinity. It is close to the dutch fort ant fish market. We could smel the fish all the time. It was ok but beter reserve something near the nevombo beach.

We had an excellent stay here. The staff was enthusiastic, friendly, and a lot of fun. Breakfast was delicious each day. The rooms are well appointed and very spacious.

Found this place through booking.com, so we called and booked for a night, the owner spoke well over the phone and the room was big with a gorgeous view of the sea, but it was lacking many things, there was dirt and cobwebs everywhere. The bedsheets were torn and dirty. There was an entire mess under the bed as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. The air con wasn't working well. The water heater,curtains and windows were full of cobwebs. The bathroom doorknob was broken and we were unable to close it properly, and the light also kept flickering eerily. There was also only a tiny bar of soap, thankfully they did have hot water. The tiny fridge in the room was stinking and there was not even a water bottle. There was not a staff in sight to get help from nor was there a telephone to call the reception desk to get some water or coffee. They charged us 7000/= which doesn't seem okay for a room like that. We also really wanted to go and have a look at the balcony view but it was closed and we didn't find anyone in the morning from whom we could inquire about it . All in all the entire place seemed a little creepy at night. (Although the sound of the crashing waves did make the stay a little bit okay)

Green Ayurvedic Beach Resort offers reasonable prices and is located a bit away from the busy areas, with close access to the beach. The rooms are decent but can get quite hot, and some accessories need fixing. The surrounding area is not very pleasant, so it’s recommended mainly for an overnight stay just for sleeping.

Unfortunately this hotel has been really badly hit by the pandemic and is struggling. The building really needs basic maintenance and upkeep before it should really be open. Our room was large but it lacked basic amenities e.g. a bin, hot water, toilet paper and the room had definitely not been cleaned before we arrived. It's a shame because the owner seemed friendly and clearly the economic downturn has really damaged the industry but it's just not in a state to be open and accepting customers. I noticed that all of the positive reviews on Google and booking.com are pre-pandemic so do take that into account when considering booking this place.

Nice low budget place for a stay right near the famous poruthota beach

If you love a cozy , private, hidden place and a very quiet lovely beach this is the perfect place. Most uber and taxis did not know this place existed. The hotel only has 3 rooms and is very eccentric. Doorways are narrow and about six feet high. The balcony is separated from the room. You get a delicious homemade breakfast. The 2 staff members are very friendly. We were expecting something different.

Limited to one parking (concern for vehicle holders who have to park outside ), no hot water and pool only accessible to suite. As beach in area is not clean and sea is rough non availability of the pool is a downer.

I recently stayed here, and I was horrified by the lack of basic hygiene. The bed sheets and pillow covers in my room were clearly not changed from the previous guest. It was obvious that the linens had been reused without even a basic cleaning. This is completely unacceptable and shows a blatant disregard for guest health and cleanliness. I strongly advise against staying here unless the owner decides to prioritize hygiene and the well-being of guests. This experience was not only disappointing but also disgusting.

I had a stay at this place first week of Nov 2021. nice place and ambience and a good host. i had a difficulty and the host and the son really helped us a lot. related to the late check-in and they made us accommodated on instant booking late night and making the room ready for us. they helped us with the airport related support. across the road is beach and nice ambience as well.

Good clean room that felt safe. Staff is really friendly. Wifi didn't work at the room only outside at the terrace. Quit noisy and they were renovating all evening.. lot's of mosquitos and no mosquitonet at the room. We didn't get any hot water running from the showers, that didn't bother because of the hot weather. Hotel is close to the beach, but hard to find.

It's a simple place near to the city center and the beach of Negombo. The owner was very warm hearted, the premium rooms looked nice. We rented a standard room, what was not the nicest experience. Just a small window, no hot water. For the price ok though.

Just had the most phenomenal 5 nights at hotel bluebird from when we booked for communication to our arrival. Ajith and his family have been most amazing host and couldn't have done enough for us, breakfast was amazing especially the sri Lankan style. Ajith organised our tour to the elephant orphanage + Kandy which was epic The rooms were great we booked independently via booking.com and ti our felight was connecting rooms for our 2 girls, we all had lots of space and plenty of charging points. The hotel is literally across the road from the beach and a short walk to Camelot hotel in which we paid a small fee to use there pool The Blubird Hotel is situated right in the heart of beach and restaurants Great little find, very accommodating family run business

This stay was delightful as the first or our family trip in Sri lanka, it's a perfect place to rest after a long flight, and we had the best welcome from our host, Russell, the kindest guy ever. The breakfast was huge, salty and sweet for every taste. The guesthouse is in a good location next to the beach and many restaurants, all of them were really good. Russell also arranged our next transfer to Wilpattu, for a good price. We would definitely reccommend it, great value for money!

Homely place, clean and comfortable room, value for your money, and a good breakfast ( you can even eat outside in the small garden..it's pleasing to the eye).Near a local supermarket in case you are in need of something. Nice, friendly , kind, helpful and attentive service from the staff and owner Mr. Russel( he even brought us to the airport).The guesthouse became our homebase on our motorbike trail tour around Sri Lanka so we stayed there a couple of times during our in between trips.You can safely leave your baggage behind - no problem at all.Since we had a late flight back home (1.25 a..m) we can stay there to pass the hrs until it time for us to go to the airport.We had a pleasant stay.

Had A Good Experience Staying At Dion's Guest House.I Loved The Atmosphere As It Was Really Quiet And Wonderful.The Guest House Gave A Really Nice Cottage Look With Couple Of Elegant Rooms.It Had Tables And Chairs Outside So One Staying Could Eat Just Outside Their Door,And Also Swings And Laid Back Chairs In The Outside Of The Guest House.The Hotel Has Food Services Providing Breakfast,Lunch And Dinner,But The Food Opposite The House From A Restaurant Was Delicious.Food Delicacies Such As Seafood,Vegetable Fried Rice,Salads,Hot Vegetable Soup And Hawaian Sandwiches Were One Of A Kind.There Was Also Some Souvenir Shops Along The Sides Of The Hotel For One To Shop Sri Lankan Merchandise.The Hotel Was Also Near The Beach So One Could Walk Along The Sides Of The Hotel Till He Saw An Opening In Which He Could Walk All The Way Down Till He Sees A Beach....All In All Its A Nice And Wonderful Place To Stay

The hospitality from all the staff was exceptional, the rooms are very clean and all within a short distance from the beach and restaurants. There are two swimming pools in secluded surroundings for you to relax in. The breakfasts were perfectly cooked with as much fruit as you can eat. Would recommend to anybody as your first or last stop in Sri Lanka!

We had a great stay here for our last 2 days in Sri Lanka. We had a flight at 1:20am and Natasha let us hang out at the pool until 11pm. This was after checking out at 10:30am. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. WiFi was also good as was the AC. Breakfast was yet another fantastic Sri Lankan feast. God I'll miss the food in this country! The dog lady was a highlight as well. Recommended!

Our room was ready when we arrived even though we were 3h before check in time. The room was clean, with airconditioner and mosquito net just like on pictures. Bathroom was clean with hot water but water pressure was weak. Breakfast was delicious - with eggs, something sweet and fruits. The neighborhood is quiet but with some distance to the center of Negombo. Host organized tuk tuk for us and answered every question we had. It was a good place to stay in Negombo and we highly recommend it to all.

Lovely clean rooms with a nice balcony to sit on and watch the world go by. Nelson and his family were very helpful with information of the area and offered taxi services to the airport and around the island. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast he cooked us was delicious.

I didn't really like the room. The owner was nice, accommodating me, as there was an issue with the hotel I booked.

Liked the environment and the ambiance of the place. It was really peaceful with lots of green around. The rooms were nice and clean enough. A/C's were functional in all rooms. Easy check-in and check-out as well. The host helped us clear a confusion which gave us peace of mind. Thankful for that. But the rooms did not come with any amenities that are usually provided. For example, among the basics, there was no drinking water, soaps and toilet paper. What was really unpleasant was that when we asked if we could get some bottled water (it was our first day in Sri Lanka and we didn't get to go to any market to buy water), the host completely ignored it. I think the least he could have done was, let us know that it was not in his policies. Although this isn't an issue if you have arranged transportation, but the hotel is at the end of a narrow alley. It is also a bit hard to get uber or taxi from there to get around. Since it is around 20-25 minutes from the airport, we chose not to stay at this hotel before our return flight. Overall could've been a great stay if some of the basic amenities were provided.

Stayed here for 1 night. Really nice place to stay, the room is really nice and comfortable. The bathroom was also really nice, shower pressure was good! Had great wifi connection, nice AC, and a ceiling fan as well, which made the room nice and cool. Double layered curtains, which made the room perfectly dark for sleeping!

We had a lovely one night stay at The Max Villa. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. The air conditioning and fan worked great, as did the hot water in the shower. Max has very friendly and has great customer service. The Sri Lankan Breakfast was enjoyable. We would stay here again.

Let me be honest ! I was given a warm welcome by the staff ! The rooms are fully air condition. The out side setting of the villa is very green and was cool at all time. I enjoyed my stay with maximum effect of the traditional oil treatment. I am sure.. I will be visiting for few more treatment session & to relax near the sea.
