Nestled within Parc du Champ de Mars, L'Esquisse Hotel & Spa Colmar - MGallery is an upscale and elegant retreat in the heart of Colmar's historic center. The picturesque town, often referred to as 'Little Venice,' boasts charming half-timbered houses and scenic riverside spots. This 5-star boutique hotel offers 62 luxurious rooms and suites, a spa by Clarins, and a gourmet dining experience at JY's restaurant.
One of the best hotel we booked. Stayed there only for a night and what a found it was. We didn’t want to leave the hotel. The room was perfect (toilet might have been better placed). We came with my wife and our 23 months baby and it was the first time that I saw so much attention been given to a kid in terms of amenities. The amenities/bathroom was top class. We asked for 2 cocktails in-room and it was served to us quick. The alcoholic cocktail was one of the best I had (the coconut/almond flavour on top was such a surprise). The wellness area was great. The service from the reception-concierge team-breakfast team-spa team was top class as well. The breakfast as well was inch perfect with a variety of local items. We will surely come back soon to enjoy for a longer period this hotel which is well placed in Colmar. Kudos to all the Team for maintaining this beautiful hotel whilst maintaining a 5 star service which is quite rare nowadays.
Arvind A — Google review
The hotel is in a good location, near a park and close to old town. The room (not the smallest category) was nice, but somewhat quirky: the toilet had no basin, so you had to go all way round to the bathroom to wash your hands. Also some of the doors in the foyer interfered with each other, which was especially cumbersome if you had to go to the toilet at night in the dark. The light switches were strangely located as well, and you could conveniently watch the TV only from bed, not from the sofa. Other than that the room was comfortable, large enough, comfy bed etc. Breakfast was good, the selection varied slightly from day to day, it seemed that some small sandwiches etc were leftovers from previous night. Eggs and coffees to order were served very quickly. There is a garage, which we booked, but it is valet parking only, which was not convenient at all for us travelling with dogs. It should definitely be clearly stated at the website and in the emails. If it was mentioned, I managed to miss it. There is reasonably priced street parking close by. There is a two-star restaurant, which we didn't try, as we had already booked another two-star restaurant for our anniversary dinner, and two for the same trip would have been a bit much. The restaurant is closed two days a week (Sundays and Mondays), so those days there is no restaurant at the hotel. One would expect a choice of restaurants to cater for those who don't want spend at a two-star restaurant and for closures. However, there are plenty of good restaurants relatively close by.

What an amazing hotel! We just finished 4 nights there and couldn’t be happier. Absolutely ranks in the top 10 hotels we’ve stayed at in any city. The staff were extremely professional and welcoming, the room was large, very well appointed and set to welcome guests. Great location close to old Colmar, the park and an easy walk from the train station. Excellent customer service for our every request. We will certainly be back. Dog friendly too!

What an amazing 5 night stay we had. Possibly one of the friendliest hotel staff we have encountered. Thank you to Salomé for a great welcome and to Liz for helping reservation of tables. All staff were friendly, polite and welcoming throughout. The rooms were cleaned very well and cleaning staff were so polite! Absolutely recommend staying here. 5 minute walk from all the bars, shops and restaurants so perfectly situated. A few (very small) things noticed in our beautiful room 310: the beautiful flooring near door is getting damaged as door has dropped (such a shame as it’s so nice); panels and handles on doors had pulled away- worth checking; light buttons near bed are sticky to turn lights on/off; blue light on panel should turn off/be covered for sleeping; hotel temperature was very hot, especially in lobby (23 degrees I think I saw); would have been nice for bar staff to ask child watching to on phone without headphones to turn sound off (we left the bar). Small improvements but I would absolutely stay here again! Great job to all staff at the hotel.

I had an incredible stay at L'Esquisse Hotel & Spa in Colmar. The hotel itself is stunning—modern, stylish, and beautifully designed, with a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Its location is perfect, just a short walk to fantastic restaurants, a lovely park, and the charming village center. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. They were warm, professional, and went above and beyond, even booking two amazing winery visits for us that ended up being highlights of our trip. Everything from the accommodations to the service was top-notch. If you’re visiting Colmar, I can’t recommend L'Esquisse enough. A perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality.
Bob G — Google review
The rooms are lovely, spacious and relatively new (2021..). The spa is underground but with natural light and finished in dark tiles, very stylish. The breakfast offer is generous. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The art work throughout the hotel is great. The design/ layout of the rooms has a few flaws: the blue light at the light switches at both sides of the bed head are extremely bright and cannot be switched off, so I ended up using a pillow to cover them. These are also the only lighting controls in the room. There is no wash hand basin in the toilet room, which is at the entrance (why?) of the bedroom, rather than in a cubicle in the bathroom (this wasn't a suite). The bathroom has two wash hand basins, one big, one small - why? The shower seems large but has no door, so the heat disappears quickly into the bathroom, so as soon as the shower is turned off, you're freezing, despite the way-too-small panel radiator on full blast. The shower enclosure has a small ledge at knee-height, presumably to hide the pipes, but water will stand on it, become colder, then splash off onto the body, so one gets a secondary small low-level shower off the ledge. All things that shouldn't have been designed this way.

Fantastic stay – we will gladly return Friendly and helpful staff, lovely room and very dog-friendly, which we truly appreciated. Breakfast was delicious, parking worked perfectly, and the location was ideal both for exploring the city and for walks in the nearby park. We absolutely loved the hotel and will definitely come back.

A true 5-star experience in beautiful Colmar. The rooms are meticulously maintained and well equipped with a comfortable (but firm) mattress, a variety of pillows to choose from, a heated towel rack, and Clarins bath products. Excellent and friendly service at reception. Very walkable location; but a rental car is recommended to visit the region.

Novotel Suites Colmar Centre is a relaxed hotel offering warmly decorated suites with free Wi-Fi and a cafe/bar. The four-star hotel features smartly designed rooms with fridges, microwaves, and coffee machines. It also offers dog-friendly facilities, allowing pets in the rooms and providing pet-friendly options for a comfortable stay. The communal areas include entertainment for children such as a mini-cinema, kids' books library, and interactive games table.
We stayed for three nights, and everything was perfectly organized and handled by the friendly hotel staff. The hotel’s serene design creates a sense of tranquility, and the rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you might need. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and served in a very comfortable dining area. The location is excellent—just a five-minute walk from the canals. Highly recommended!

We stayed in superior queen suite. The stay was overall good. The room was generally clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was working pretty well which was needed as the heatwave we had during our stay. The location is close to good restaurants and the old town but also very quiet at the same time. The bed was large and comfortable. Shower was strong and no water leak problem. The front desk staff were very helpful as well. The room was spacious but the layout was not perfect which made part of the room not usable for us. And the decoration was more like a business hotel and can use some upgrade. The bathroom might be a little bit small since we don’t use the hot tub.
Yin D — Google review
We booked this hotel hoping for a comfortable stay, but unfortunately, it fell short. The biggest issue was the non-functional air conditioning, which made our room uncomfortably hot and suffocating throughout our visit. This single problem seriously impacted our ability to relax and get a good night's sleep. The service was a mixed bag. While some staff members were pleasant and helpful, others were quite abrupt and dismissive, which made for an awkward and frustrating experience. This was especially true during check-in, where we were asked to pay again despite having a prepaid booking. It was uncomfortable to have to sort out a payment issue that shouldn't have existed in the first place. The hotel itself is in a decent location, about a 10-minute walk from Little Venice. We opted out of the breakfast, so we can't comment on that. We also found the €20 per night parking fee to be quite high when cheaper street parking was available nearby. Overall, the broken air conditioning and uneven staff service made for a very uncomfortable stay. We would not recommend this hotel.
Saad H — Google review
Very disappointing experience The room temperature was unacceptable – it was freezing cold, even though we set the thermostat to the highest setting. Despite the fact that we were traveling with a baby, the staff took no action. I reported the issue after the first night (when we literally froze), and one of the receptionists promised to move us to another room if the technician couldn’t fix it. To be honest, I don’t think anyone ever came to check the heating system. Later that afternoon, another receptionist told us that changing the room wasn’t possible and offered us a portable heater instead… It’s really disappointing to pay a considerable amount of money for a so-called prestigious 4-star hotel, only to end up with a radiator as a “solution.” We travel very often, and we have never stayed in a colder room than this one! Even though most of the reception staff were aware of the issue, no one followed up with us afterwards — they just smiled as if nothing had happened. Cleanliness was also poor — the bathroom sink had mold. On the positive side, the room was spacious and the location is very good. However, on the second-to-last day, we found a huge spider on the curtain, which was the final straw. The breakfast area is quite small, and during the weekend we had to wait up to 30 minutes for a free table.

Everything was perfect at Hotel Novotel! The room was completely new and modern with all the modern amenities and furnishings. The bed came with two pillows, and the shower felt like a refreshing spa experience. We appreciated the complimentary espresso and tea available in each room, adding a touch of luxury to our stay.

Amazing stay. Expensive but very worthy. Kids area. Amazing service and support for taxi for ex. Good breakfast (maybe one feedback for improvement: we missed fresh fruits and its variety. For breads, cheese and croissants no matters but for a healthy style I felt more options would bring good acceptance!)

Great hotel for family of four with two young kids. They have a “kids corner” in the lobby that is great. They had great room availability for room that would sleep four (“executive room”). Spacious room. Modern. Shower and tub. Great setup for our family. We had a great stay.

We saw this hotel was rated very high, and booked. A bit disappointed... Rooms are clean. They are ok for 4 people, but tight... Best for 2. Breakfast is expensive, but there is a super nice bakery around the corner, with top quality pastries and baguettes. Coffee and all ❤️ VERY GOOD!😊

La Maison des Têtes - Relais & Châteaux - Hôtel Colmar & Restaurants is a luxurious hotel located in a grand 17th-century mansion. It offers elegant rooms and suites, as well as fine dining options. The hotel stands out for its unique and carefully decorated rooms that blend modern furnishings with the historic charm of the building. With spacious accommodations, comfortable beds, and upscale bathrooms, it provides all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay after exploring Colmar's Christmas market.
Just checked out after a superb experience at the Maison des Têtes. Husband and I booked three rooms for ourselves and our siblings family with two kids. The staff got us 3 rooms all next to each other which was excellent. The staff are so friendly, warm, and helpful. The rooms were beautifully appointed with the most comfortable bed and pillows we’ve experienced in Europe. The to-go goodie bags were such a wonderful end to a truly 5 star stay. Cannot recommend enough the adjoining patisserie. Stopped by 3 times in one day alone! The hotel breakfast was delicious as well. Was very cool to see all the fresh pastries being moved from the hotel kitchen to the patisserie in the morning. Cannot wait to come back! Thank you for the wonderful time.

A spectacular gem in the heart of beautiful Colmar. From our welcome at the parking (limited, book in advance), throughout our stay at every point, right through to our departure with a gift of freshly made pistachio cake, we were blown away. The building is stunning, with a rich history. The food is outrageous (3 restaurants, 1 with a ⭐), with the breakfast being particularly special. Our room was gorgeous. But honestly, it's the staff that give this hotel that certain something. Welcoming, friendly, professional bit never stuffy, they treated is like old friends they were hosting. Cannot wait to get back!

I had an amazing experience at La Maison des Têtes in Colmar, thanks to Timothée. He provided exceptional customer service, offering great wine recommendations with a friendly yet professional attitude. His expertise and warmth made our visit truly memorable. I highly recommend La Maison des Têtes for anyone seeking a delightful and well-rounded dining experience.
Vlad S — Google review
I experienced somewhat unfriendly treatment from the female concierge when I asked about the possibility of having breakfast at the hotel as a non-guest. While I understand that breakfast is typically reserved for hotel guests, her tone and delivery were off-putting. I wasn’t staying at the hotel due to it being fully booked, but I had hoped to enjoy breakfast there. Many luxury hotels offer breakfast to non-guests for a reasonable price, and I believe this could be a good option here as well. Unfortunately, the concierge’s response, which felt dismissive and condescending, affected my overall experience.
Philipp B — Google review
My room was beautiful. Small room with a king bed and full bathtub; perfectly appointed. The only reason I can’t give it five stars is because it was a little warm. Note this is only mid May but my room was on the third floor and had only one small window which I opened. I asked the lady at the front desk to have someone check the AC but she only offered me a fan or to remove the comforter from the duvet. Hmm? No one came! The service at the reception was for the most part 100 percent except for the young lady who never followed up on the fan etc!! I felt like I was at the Kempinski in Cancun, Mexico where I did get the fan! lol! The service in the Brasserie was excellent where I ate dinner one night and breakfast a day later. I went late to breakfast as I had jet lag and no one offered me the eggs on the menu or the coffee… the perils of traveling alone as a middle aged woman. I guess everyone just wanted to quit breakfast. I didn’t ask because I didn’t want to be difficult. It was 10 am and breakfast was wrapping up. Colmar is a not to be missed city. If you have read your guide books you know that Colmar is the one city that was NOT bombed in WWII because ? General had honeymooned there and he spared it for fond memories!! Little Venice is quaint. Splurge a little and live life to the fullest!

The Grand Hôtel Bristol is a historic and elegant hotel located just outside the heart of Colmar's old town, making it a convenient starting point for exploring the area. The hotel offers refined accommodations, including an upmarket restaurant and a brasserie. Guests can enjoy dining at the Brasserie LAuberge or the Michelin-starred Gourmet Restaurant Le Rendez-Vous de Chasse.
Perfect location just across from Colmar’s train station — super convenient. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. No great view, but peaceful and quiet. The staff were kind and helpful, and I loved the cozy vibe of the lobby. Around 20–25 minutes’ walk to the Old Town. Would definitely stay again.
Atieh R — Google review
My husband and I recently stayed here, and while the location was undeniably excellent—we were left underwhelmed by other aspects of our stay. The staffs were okay, but not particularly welcoming or friendly. While they were professional, the warmth and hospitality you’d expect weren’t there. The room was disappointing. It looked outdated and clearly in need of renovation. Worse, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the shower drain that made the bathroom less than comfortable to use. The bathroom is very small btw. The thermostat was another issue—it couldn’t be adjusted because the adjuster roll was broken, leaving the room temperature out of our control. To top it off, the pillows had visible signs of mold, which was unacceptable. We slept with no pillows at all. It raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance standards of the hotel. Overall, while the location might make it convenient, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless they address these issues. For the price, I expected far better conditions.
Helena L — Google review
Place is near the station, not the most quiet place. Our rooms didn't have cups to drink coffee, to be fair I didn't ask for it as I was staying one night. Curtains were not clean. But in general room was clean and I was comfortable.
Gagik N — Google review
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel is in a great location for travelers arriving or departing by train. Just steps from the hotel is the stop for the free Colmar tourist shuttle that goes to the town center. The hotel has excellent baggage lockers where one can store suitcases even large ones. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are in great condition with adequate AC and excellent water pressure. Will definitely stay here again!

We paid the tourist tax by cash when we checked in. Upon check out, we were asked to pay again. I would recommend to keep your receipt for tourist tax. Sound proofing is poor, we could hear the people next door.

I and my family spent 2nights on New Year’s Eve and first of Jan. This hotel have a very bad attitude to customers, which may be only for the one who’s not speak French. The room is old, the towels is a kind of grey and feel like dirty. The bathtub was broken, I informed the hotel reception but no one came to fix it. The house keeper came at 4:30 pm. While we just came in and refreshed for dinner. She told me that she will not come back to clean the room because she is out of duty soon. So the room didn’t clean along while we stay. The most bad impression is the dinner on New Year’s Eve. The dinner set at 7:00pm. We were the first table came in. We have to wait for an hour to get the starter, and the main course another hour, but the point was we didn’t served the first table even we came in first. The waitress served 4-5 tables passing us. So I asked the waiter, why we came first but you served the others before us. He walked pass my table and not even look at me. Shouting while walking “You have to wait It’s Christmas” I was shocked, the behavior was extremely rude, I never been this kind of situation in my life. Finally the main course was served, the taste was lousy. We ate a bid of it. It was 9:30pm. the dining room full of people. So I and my husband just walked out without having the dessert. It wasn’t worth to wait for the lousy taste and rude manner of the waiter and waitress. This is the most ugly New Year’s eve I ever been. By the way It’s not Christmas, it’s the attitude of your staffs so don’t blame Christmas. Christmas is such a good holiday fulfill with joy and happiness, but it ruined by worthless people.

Chris was amazing. He surprised my wife with a cake for breakfast since it was her birthday. He was very friendly and kind with us. We also enjoyed the spa and room a lot.

We were a motorcycle touring group and stayed at this hotel for four days. The hotel is centrally located, and we were allowed to park our motorcycles in the secure inner courtyard. The hotel is excellent and clean, and the rooms are air-conditioned. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and we felt very welcome as bikers – something that, unfortunately, is not always a given. The breakfast was plentiful and tasted good. I especially want to highlight that I had forgotten my ring in the room when we checked out. When I called to ask about it, I was kindly told that the cleaning lady had handed it in. The ring was then sent back to me, which meant a great deal and further contributed to my very positive impression. Next time I visit the beautiful Alsace region, I will definitely choose this hotel again and will gladly recommend it to my friends.
Speedvision — Google review
Rooms were modern but not practical. Closets were small and hooks for the bathroom towels were not optimally located. The shower water fluctuated from hot to cold without any adjustments. The rooms cold hear the street noises and with a bar down the street meant quite hours were dictated by the bar. The staff although was helpful was over committed. The ONE person was responsible for fixing breakfast and coffee AND checking people out. The owner only made occasional appearances and did not show pride is the property. They relied solely on the staff to carry the success.

Beautiful modern rooms. Very close to main old part of Colmar . Perfect position to explore. Car park very close too . Breakfast was good not to my taste but good quality
Kevin H — Google review
It is a very centrally located hotel. Our room was on the 2nd floor, accessible with a lift, and had a nice jacuzzi. The hotel does not have a private parking place. The car park mentioned is a public one within 5 minutes walking distance of the hotel. The young lady at the reception couldn't speak English, so we struggled with the parking place, how it worked, whether there was a hotel discount, etc. They politely let us put our bikes inside the hotel with our other belongings. I would have given five stars if the parking place had been appropriately explained, as it was our highest priority when searching for a hotel.
Utku D — Google review
Really good hotel, with modern rooms, very good beds, large shower, nice breakfast and friendly staff. Very quite neighbourhood yet 100m away from historical center. And great value for money.
Luc D — Google review
It's difficult to describe the place. It feels like they're trying to be a 4 star hotel, but there are certain Elements that make it more 3 star. Start with parking, we were given a card at check in that allows us to park in the city center underground parking garage about 5 minutes walk from hotel. However the card didn't work and we had to take a ticket (when we left we then had to show that we paid for parking via the hotel to the garage assistant, just extra headache). The room itself was fine, seems like they tried to make it fancy, but used cheaper quality materials, so didn't look as good after first glance. Breakfast was pretty subpar with no warm food options. The staff were friendly enough and the outside terrace was nice to sit. It just seems like it's an average hotel in a touristy town and they can get away with it. The wifi barely worked and when it did it was incredibly slow. Not worth the price.
Paul H — Google review
Worst “4-star hotel” I’ve ever been. Room facilities are fine. But the reception doesn’t have anyone when we arrived and when we check out. And parking is away from the hotel. And we have to return the card after leaving the parking lot. And!!!! We still need to pay 7.2 euro even if we paid for parking at the hotel !!!!! What the hell??? And the worst part is the breakfast. It costs 14 per person and doesn’t even have scrambled eggs, or any basic green veggies like cucumber. I can’t believe this is what a four star hotel can offer for breakfast. Don’t they feel ashamed ?

Le Rapp is a traditional hotel located in the heart of old Colmar, just a short walk from the Christmas markets at Place des Dominicains and the Unterlinden Museum. The hotel offers informal rooms and suites with Wi-Fi, and guests can enjoy an indoor pool. The staff is known for being friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Visitors appreciate the central location and the proximity to attractions like the restored Dominican Church.
I stayed in the hotel because my son was hospitalised with a coma nearby for 1 week. All the personnel was so friendly, perfect matrass, rain- and normal shower, really good breakfast with fresh pressed orange juice, bar open untill 13.30 and a nice terrage with good seats, situated in a very small calm street very close to the big parking and the city centre, all is perfect and price is great. Thank you again for all the help and the support

The hotel is great and clean, the spa is nice with sauna and hammam and the staff is really nice. The bar have good cocktails. The toilet were fonctionnal but broken.. kinda disappointed by this. But after all we spent a nice weekend so thank you.
Elodie D — Google review
Rooms are a bit simple with ikea type of furniture, and there is no fridge. However you can leave the needed at the bar, and they will put it at the fridge/freezer if needed. The bed is very comfortable and the shower top! The parking is in the proximity and you have to pay for it. The staff is very friendly and always present, ready to help. Breakfast is at 22 € and if you don't eat a lot in the morning (like me for example) is not really worth it. Great local wines at the bar and staff will explain everything! Location top! You are in the middle of everything to visit by walking.

Booked this last minute as our original hotel didn’t have the air conditioning working. And it was the best decision we made! We loved everything about our stay! From the incredible service to the relaxing spa!! It made our time in Colmar that much more special!
Rachael L — Google review
Very close to everything The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was big and spacious. The bed was a little hard for our liking, but everyone has their own preferences. Breakfast was also excellent, except there were no lactose free products. In my opinion it is a little bit expensive but you get to use the wellness area included with towels, robes and slippers.

This should not be a 4 star hotel. It is a 3 start at a push. Rooms are old and did not smell fresh, ours smelled like cigarette smoke the moment we walked in. The mattress was so worn down that it had deep indentations from the previous occupants. One small water bottle between two occupants. Carpets were old and dirty. I feel that if we had been charged much less for the room and not promised a 4 star experience that it would have been a very different experience with different expectations. One thing I must say is that the staff were incredible! Super friendly and helpful. They really made the stay less disappointing. But unfortunately for the price, it’s really not worth it…
Jubiek — Google review
Well located in the old town of Colmar. The staff are very friendly and professional. Our room was a standard room and very disappointing considering what we paid for it believing it to be a 4 star hotel. The room was small and had a terrible smell of mildew. We tried keeping the window open for the entire duration of our stay but it did little to remove the strong musty smell. This hotel should not have a 4 star rating. We have stayed in 3 star hotels which were of a much higher standard than this.
Sharon K — Google review
Great location. Staff were very helpful and room was big and comfortable. Did not try out the sauna since it was quite hot outside, but the AC was good! The breakfast was a little different with preselections required but was very happy with it.

Hotel Le Maréchal is a charming 4-star hotel built in the 1560s on the original fortifications of Colmar, nestled in the picturesque district of Little Venice. The individually decorated rooms offer a rustic-chic ambiance, and guests can enjoy a riverside restaurant serving traditional and regional gourmet cuisine. This pet-friendly hotel warmly welcomes dogs with special amenities and is conveniently located near Colmar's famous Christmas market and Place des Dominicains.
We really enjoyed our stay here even though it was cold and rainy. Loan (front desk concierge) was super knowledgable and helpful. Great customer service! The restaurant is a must try. We were immediately seated once we arrived and the food/service was fantastic. The location is perfectly placed. It’s easily walkable to everything in Petite Venice. The bar is great. Great cocktails, atmosphere and customer service.

We stayed in the “Wagner” room and we like it very much. The room was spacious and had a lovely view over the canal.Yes, the hotel is old(but full of charm) and there is no lift, however, we did not mind the stairs and we find it really clean. The breakfast was in a very nice veranda, not a very big variety of things, but enough.Coffee and croissants were good, they even offer the local sparkling wine. What we did not like was that some noise was coming from the room upstairs, like opening drawers and walking, also the main door was a little hard to close and open(because of the carpet, i guess, and that made the handle a little flimsy). Also the lady at the reception could be a little more warm/smiley/friendly?she was very dry.
Ella O — Google review
Ratings are relative, admittedly. Good choices in Colmar are very very limited, so you have to take what’s available. Service is very friendly, atmosphere, well, a bit dated and musty, hotels in Colmar don’t need to work hard to get guests, and that’s very obvious. Between historic furniture and appeal, cheap materialized renovations and plastic furniture is what you will experience. Nonetheless seems a good choice if you stay in Colmar, great location.
M B — Google review
Trust the bad reviews!!! The room smelled horribly of mold and I fear it to be a potential trigger for respiratory issues. The staff was unwilling to do anything and told us if we want to leave we can. We took them up on their offer and left. We found a last minute Airbnb at 8PM right around the corner that was of far higher quality and more accommodating staff all for 100 euros cheaper. The male front desk clerk was very nice and sympathetic but the hotel managements unwillingness to accommodate anything was offputting and not worthy of a 4 star hotel. I would not visit here again.
Aaron — Google review
I don’t usually write bad reviews, but I had to write about this hotel. I don’t understand how it’s given a 4 star rating. It’s a very old hotel that needs remodeling. The room was old, but the bathroom was remodeled. The shower didn’t have a door, which caused the water to splash all over the wooden floor. The twin beds are very tiny, and I was worried about bed bugs. It’s very expensive ( about $300 per night) for what you are getting. The staff were friendly, and the location is great.

This is for Le Baron Bar and Cocktails. I am constantly looking for the best old fashioned, I just found number 1 in a small town in France. If you enjoy this spectacular drink I encourage you to try what they offer, Fantastic. I have had them in 15 countries and this one beat them all. ENJOY!!!
Shayne H — Google review
Disappointing Stay – Poor Service and Overpriced Basics I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was genuinely disappointing. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an unwelcoming and rude bartender at the hotel entrance gossiping about us with the front desk, which set the tone for the rest of our stay. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there — the head waiter at breakfast was equally discourteous, making the morning atmosphere uncomfortable. To make matters worse, we were charged 8 euros for a simple glass bottle of cold water which was tap water, which felt like an unreasonable upsell for a basic necessity. The rooms were another letdown: inefficiently designed, poorly maintained, and clearly in need of significant repairs. Overall, this stay was far below expectations, especially for the price point. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Colmar at Hôtel Mercure Colmar Centre Unterlinden, a contemporary hotel offering trendy rooms and suites. Located in the heart of the city, just a short walk from Unterlinden Museum and Petite Venise, this 4-star hotel provides air-conditioned, soundproofed accommodations with satellite TV and complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests can start their day with a full buffet breakfast or relax on the outdoor terrace.
Breakfast was great. There’s no bottled water in the rooms, but you can help yourself to water from the fountain at reception — a great idea for reducing plastic waste and helping the environment. Rooms are all decent and clean. Plenty of parking space available in the basement. Staff were very accommodating. The sauna and gym are newly built. It’s within walking distance to the town and tourist attractions.

We just checked out from our 3 nights staying here. The room is comfortable, clean. Breakfast was good. The location was excellent, right on the edge of the old town, just a very short walk to restaurants, attractive places, tourist information center, and MonoPrix. Staff service was great, both the reception and the breakfast lady. I like it that they have a glass jar for the guests to fill up the drinking water, to save plastic bottles. Highly recommended.

We had originally intended to stay at the Mercure Colmar last Christmas. Due to a family emergency we had to change our plans and stayed at the hotel in September. We were in a Privilege Room and it was so nice and well located where we didn’t have any noise or traffic from other guests. It was nice that the fan in the room was able to be left running and made such a nice hum to cover any outdoor noise. The breakfast was good. The parking was great and very secure. Easy to walk to most of the attractions in Colmar. We would definitely choose this hotel again!
Debra A — Google review
Great location for this hotel. Underground carpark at €20/night but also opposite a public car park. Staff super helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The only negative point was no holding bar, anti slip flooring in the shower cubicle. Also the soap dispenser was so high we couldn’t reach it. Breakfast was plentiful. Evening snack can be taken at the bar-appreciated the offer. Water dispenser to refill water bottles! Great.
Dominique A — Google review
A great hotel, wonderful staff, I really like the fact they are not using plastic bottles and you are free to get glasses and carafe of cold water in the room
Peter S — Google review
Our stay was perfectly satisfactory. Room was well equipped and comfortable but avoid room 409 (which we had) as it is right next to the lift. You hear the lift motor, people chatting while they wait and the ‘ding’ when the lift arrives - not conducive to undisturbed sleep unfortunately. The hotel has its own car park (extra cost but worth it for security). Be warned if your car is wide, low or large: access is down a steep ramp and exit up equally steep ramp with a tight turn at the top and a relatively high kerb: easy to ‘bottom’ the car or catch low bumpers/trim so take care. Inside, parking spaces are also not overly spacious. Easy and short walk into town centre with its restaurants, bars, shops and sights. Excellent breakfast buffet and speedy check out.
Janis T — Google review
Location: The hotel was perfectly located just outside the town center. You didn't get the constant flow of tourists outside, but it was super close to get to anything (around a 15-minute walk to get to the canal/market hall). Hotel: The hotel itself was clean and well-kept. I love that they offered free filtered water in the lobby that you could take to your room. The hotel's own parking is available (20 euro per day) in case you are visiting by car. The staff were super friendly and helpful, not in that typical staff way - we felt very much at home because the service was so warm. The breakfast was varied - there's a bit of something for everyone. You could try a lot of the local foods such as cheese and cold cuts. They also offered a more "American/British" breakfast of scrambled eggs, baked beans, bacon, and sausage. The rooms were very comfortable. Our room category gave us free minibar drinks, which were refilled daily if needed. I took one star off because of the following: 1. Having only one small elevator made it so you had to sometimes wait for a long time before you could go anywhere. I think if we'd stayed on one of the lower floors, it would have been ok to take the stairs. I have some mobility issues, so I needed to take the elevator. 2. I found the price of the in-house parking steep. 3. I found the room price, for what we got, quite expensive. But I think the pricing was because of the season, and it was comparable to other hotels of this category. We went to Prague and the value for money was much better considering it's a much more touristy city. However, all-in-all a great stay and would recommend!

location super, but: limited choice of food (no restaurant, only roomservice), additional beds not comfy at all, elevator not sufficient for so many guests, parking limited (restriction of height), no welcome gift/card/benefit (I am platinum member of all accor)

Le Colombier Colmar - Hôtel Centre Ville is a modern guesthouse with bright accommodations, featuring a courtyard and dining room. It is ideally situated in the Little Venice district of Colmar town center, offering easy access to restaurants, wine bars, and various attractions within a 10-minute walk. The hotel's spacious suites across the street are perfect for longer stays.
One of my new favorite hotels! The service was excellent - very friendly, kind, & helpful. The room was immaculately clean and the location cannot be beat. I added a facial and she was amazing too. I have been here twice and will definitely be back.
Erica M — Google review
We had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel could not be better — right at the entrance to Colmar’s old town, which makes it very easy to explore everything on foot. For guests arriving by car, there are parking spaces directly in front of the building, which is very convenient. The bathroom was a positive surprise: spacious, with a generous shower, and the toilet located in a separate room. Everything felt new and very clean. On arrival, we were upgraded to a Deluxe Double Room, which at first sounded like a lovely treat. However, the room itself was not really our style. It had a rather dark atmosphere with dark green walls, and only a small window facing a shared courtyard terrace. The terrace was divided by a wall from the neighbouring room, which made the space feel a bit tight, and unfortunately there was no view from the room. Based on the photos we had seen online, we were expecting something warmer and more romantic, so this came as a slight disappointment. That said, since we were only staying for one night, it was absolutely fine. The mattress was very comfortable, and we slept well. For a short stay, this room was more than acceptable, but if we had planned to stay longer, we would definitely have asked to change to another room that better matched our expectations.
Peter T — Google review
We had the most wonderful stay, which all started with the communication between booking and arriving. When we arrived the welcome was lovely and the staff just surpassed every expectation (allowing us to try out our beginners French and gently assisting and encouraging us). The room was perfection - just beautiful. Breakfast exceeded all expectations. The courtyard was wonderful to sit in and have a nightcap at the end of a day of site-seeing and feasting! Thank you so much.

Great hotel, and an even better location. Just out of the way enough to be less busy, but also close enough to everything you'd want to see. All of the staff were helpful, especially Tiffany who was very friendly and helpful each time needed something, particularly during check-in and check-out.
Danny T — Google review
The hotel location is great, rooms are ok, but the staff is rude. The staff silently downgraded us to a room in another building. The room was a not renovated and tiny with one tiny window. When we complained, they pretended that this was the room we booked, and we had to show again our reservation and that some other (better room) was still available on the internet. They did not apologize. In the end the room was a “standard” and not a “superior” class like we booked and just we got 14€ list price discount on the bill. The room was OK, but for 300€ the night with breakfast one would expect a litte more.
Edouard F — Google review
It's a nice hotel very well located at the edge of the old town/centre. Parking may be a challenge if you won't book a spot with the hotel in advance. Rook was nice and clean. We were welcomed with a bottle of local prosecco. Breakfast was decent but scrambled eggs was not too welcoming. Boiled eggs as you lunch to be undercooked or overcooked. Limited tables available in the garden but your breakfast may still be spoilt by cigarette smoke coming into the inside area.
Konrad — Google review
The location is really great. It's in little Venice and you can walk to everything. The rooms are small but nice. The only con is the stairs we had to climb with our luggage to get to our room on the second floor.
BB — Google review
I see now some other comments about the staff, they are really rude. Moreover, to a family of 2 adults + 1 child of 4yo they propose 2 rooms instead of available Double suite (which we were ready to pay for). This is ridiculous. I am wondering if they offer a nanny included in the 2 rooms rate :) If they are not child friendly they should mark themselves as an Adult only hotel. Happy that we didn’t end up to book with them and instead found a much better choice for us.

The ibis Styles Colmar Centre is a charming hotel located in an 18th-century malt house in the heart of Colmar's old town. Conveniently situated near popular attractions such as the Unterlinden museum and Bartholdi museum, this hotel provides easy access to the city center by foot or car.

I will start from the negative thing which is not related to this exact hotel, but to all accor hotels and their booking system. I tried to book two rooms in my name using accor account linked to my email and phone, but apparently it is not possible. AccorHotels support didn't help, they replied with some arrogant answer and then stoped answering to my messages (UPD: they did what I asked after a week and after I wrote the review, without answering my messages, but at least it works somehow). In order to book the hotel I had to create a new account using some random email (which is inconvenitent, and I can't get updates). I picked the rooms and tried to book them, but accor booking system kept saying that "it's not possible to book" on the last step (after entering payment details and everything, I tried different cards and so on and spent quite some time). I had to write directly to the hotel and they booked me the rooms over the email. Of course the price was like 15% higher than on accorhotels website (still cheaper than on booking though). At least hotel's personnel helped me to solve the problem and get the rooms, and they responded quickly, so no complaints about the people who work directly in the hotel. The accorhotels own booking system doesn't work properly, doesn't allow me to book the hotel using my email, display scam prices which are not possible to book and global accor support is useless and arrogant. It used to be much better, but now I will really try to avoid accorhotels overall. The ibis Styles Colmar Center itself is a very nice option to stay though (if you managed to book it). The location is perfect, rooms are okay, breakfast is pretty nice given the price, and there is a station with water, coffee and some croissants that you can take during the day. Overall, price/value ratio is good. The staff is super nice and helpful! I was really upset with global accor experience, but I still put 5 star for the hotel mainly because of the nice people who work there and because of the reasonable pricing.

I stayed in this hotel for 1 day. The booking procedure was excellent with Mrs Jane. The personel was fantastic, kind and very explanatory as for the sites to see and the restaurants to choose. The location is spot on the center and you can visit all the interesting places in walking distance. The price was very honest and the breakfast was home made with top quality products. The room was very good and the bed was excellent. The parking despite that it was across the street, it was easy and under the hotel's supervision. I recomend it by all means.

This hotel is in the City centre. Very amazing place. It most of the things you need for a stay. The staff is really friendly and helpful: just ask. The breakfast is good and mainly French food items. The rooms are carved in an ancient wooden building making it very original and enigmatic. There’s a story, and you can read around the hotel. It’s a very good choice and easy to find. Behind the hotel the entire city comes to life… you will love it.
Anaman S — Google review
This hotel is adequate, and meets basic needs. The breakfast is a nice start to the day but doesn’t serve hot foods - mostly breads and some fruit. The location is about 10-15 minutes to the train and a short walk into Colmar Center. Wi-Fi was awful and inconsistent.

Nestled on Avenue d'Alsace, James Boutique Hôtel · Colmar Centre is a family-run establishment exuding old-world charm reimagined in gold, pastel, and blue hues by renowned Parisian interior designer Caroline Tissier. The hotel offers cozy rooms and suites with Wi-Fi access, a bar for unwinding, and a breakfast room serving Alsatian specialties like bretzeln and kugelhopf brioche.
We had an amazing 2 night stay at this hotel. We stayed for our honeymoon and the hotel provided us with wine to celebrate. The room is spacious, and super clean. Bathroom was spacious and the shower was great. The location was perfect for us. Close enough to get to everything, and far enough away to have a quiet night's sleep. The staff were welcoming and provided us with great suggestions for dining. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to others!

We had a wonderful stay at the James Hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable, making it easy to relax right away. The location is excellent—close to everything we wanted to see and do. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the exceptional service, especially from Leticia at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us warmly and made sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. We had only booked one night but quickly realized we wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked. Leticia went above and beyond to help us find another place nearby. The next day, even though we had already checked out, she kindly offered to store our luggage and let us leave our car at the hotel so we could continue exploring the city without stress. That level of care and attention meant so much to us. Also, the breakfast was wonderful—fresh, delicious, and a great way to start the day. We will definitely be coming back to the James Hotel. Highly recommended!

Super cozy hotel just a short walk away from the historic city center of Colmar with a very friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels and a spotless room. Parking isn’t cheap but well worth so close to the city center. The breakfast wasn’t a huge selection but what was there was really good. Nevertheless you can always grab a Croissant and a coffee in one of the cafes.

Bernhard R — Google review
I stayed here for one night, June 12-13 2025. There is long-term construction going on opposite the hotel and it is noisy! I mentioned it when I was checking in and was assured by the check-in receptionist that it was just for one day and that they would be wrapping up soon. Not true, I was woken up at 7:30 AM by a screeching tile cutter (see photo). According to the check-out receptionist, construction had been going on for the *last year* so the check-in person outright lied to me. If I had known, I would have stayed at a different hotel because that extra morning sleep makes all the difference, especially on a driving trip. Plus the checkout lady the next morning couldn't have been more uncaring and aloof, her attitude was sorry, but there was nothing she could do and that was it. The room was fine but this was not a pleasant stay.

Just checked out of this lovely hotel after four nights. Very helpful staff which helped us with sending out laundry. It’s a family run business and everyone was so nice. The optional breakfast buffet was amazing, done by a 2 Michelin star chef who has a couple of restaurants in Colmar. The scrambled eggs are a specialty of his. Never had anything like them! The location was very good. At one edge of the historic center. 5-10 minute walk to all of the tourist attractions. Convenient parking as well as a grocery store around the block. Would definitely stay here again.

Guests can take advantage of complimentary bike rentals to explore the area or unwind in the on-site sauna. The B&B serves hearty breakfasts each morning, and some suites are suitable for families.
Had an absolutely wonderful stay with Florence in her beautiful b&b! My friend and I stayed in two rooms of the home, both of which were beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and super comfortable. The house itself is great - gorgeous furniture, stained glass windows, and our favorite - a fireplace at the entry lounge which not only warmed us up after our days exploring the Christmas markets, but also filled the house with a pleasant aroma. Breakfast was fantastic, with tons of options - assortment of cheeses and meats, fresh fruit, tons of jams/spreads, cereal, yogurt - and of course, delicious fresh bread and pastries. Location is fantastic, a straight shoot from the station (we walked easily with our luggage) and about a 10 minute scenic walk to the city center. Thank you, Florence, for a fantastic stay!

Fabulous location! 6 minute walk from train station. 10 minute walk to old town. Historic villa recently renovated . You feel like home, 5 star hospitality and fabulous breakfast each morning!

What a fantastic place Perfect for our 2 night stay driving down to Italy. Great parking and easy location to the old town. The owner was very welcoming and spoke better English than we did french. The breakfast was fantastic and plentiful.

This is a fantastic, quaint B&B. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone. The room was spacious, clean, had a lot of natural light and a very comfortable bed. The adjoining bathroom had a lovely oval bathtub in the middle, with 2 double sinks on each side, with separate shower/toilet areas. We stayed in room 1 and it was very quiet. The breakfast was one of the best we have had at a B&B. Elyane was a very nice hostess and she let us check-in early as the room was clean. We used the bikes provided on site which were in good condition. We also liked that it was a very short walk to the train/bus station. It was a really wonderful experience to stay here.

Would thoroughly recommend- we stayed in room 4 with our two daughters aged 8 and 10, who shared a sofa bed. Air conditioning was very welcome in the heat, and we all enjoyed the selection of meats, cheeses, bread and local specialities at breakfast. The kids also enjoyed a game of pool in the games room, and the 'kids' space' in the basement. It was also useful having access to the washing machine and tumble dryer. The hosts were also very welcoming. The villa is also well located, being siutuated only ten minutes' walk into town along quiet residential streets.

A real getaway and gem. Walking distance to Colmar center, free parking, big historic house and nicely decorated rooms. The host Florence is super friendly and helpful. They also have a small Spa (Sauna with relax area and shower), a activity room for kids, small cinema room with cinema seats and a piano for practice or simply joy and a pool table with a small pick&pay fridge with drinks. It is the second time we are here and we will definitely come back. Colmar is always nice, but the 6 different Christmas markets makes it the best place to visit in December. Villa Elyane makes the visit even better 🙂

Our hosts were so lovely! They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. The rooms are clean, large, comfortable and have all the amenities you could need. They even have a playroom for the little ones. My girls never wanted to leave! The location is perfect. Very close to the train station and a short walk from the city center and christmas markets. Highly recommendable!

Beautiful bed and (delicious) breakfast. The proprietor Florence is very nice and accommodating. Great place for travelers, very close to the Colmar train station and only a 10 minute walk to the old city and beautiful parks. Her roses are beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms are very nice. The entire property was renovated in 2012 and they did a fantastic job. Highly recommend!

Restaurant À l'Échevin is a top-notch dining spot in Colmar, offering a blend of creative cuisine and an extensive wine selection within a charming, old-fashioned setting. Guests have raved about the delicious food, with some even considering it as the best they've ever had. The restaurant's team is highly praised for their professionalism and attentiveness, ensuring that every detail is taken care of to create truly romantic moments for patrons.
The food here was delicious, and the servers were very nice and helpful, cleaning the table before dessert, replacing utensils, and explaining every component of our food. The atmosphere was very fancy, and it was next to a river, which gave good views. The food presentation was very fancy and gourmet, and very good tasting.

We dined here over three evenings as part of our Christmas package. Food was very good each evening with hardly a bad dish throughout. The only issue for us was portion sizing, very generous to say the least, unfortunately we couldn’t get through each dish. Service was exceptional from the whole team on every evening.

We requested for seats by the canal but was informed that they were reserved. We were then seated at the inner area with red plush seats. We ordered steaks and sea bass which were decently plated. The sea bass was good for me.
Ying C — Google review
Restaurant À l'Échevin serves very good dessert, I will definitely come back again for their sweets. It's the Michelin Recommend restaurant I'm the hotel of À l'Échevin, part of the Little Venice area. The Signature Menu starts from their duck liver, À l'Échevin served it with kiwi and chestnut 🌰, probably the best combination I've ever encountered, love it !!! Not a fan of their smoked eel and the filled cake of sea bass and lobster, smoked eel tasted like smoked salmon, and the lobster stole the tenderness of sea bass. As to the roasted doe, too dry. But have to give BIG credits to their desserts, the pre-dessert is the barley ice on black garlic jelly, very interesting chemistry blended together in your mouth, love it !!! As to the final dessert, they barley ice on the ice pears, it's sweet but very mild and smooth, melt right into your mouth; as to the barley rice pudding, the kick of buckwheat caramel is the spotlight.
Bill L — Google review
Chef takes you to a wonderful journey of flavours. There are a lot of bold and interesting combinations. With nice presentation. Nice experience, with an awesome ambience. Service was a little lost and not friendly. They even made a few mistakes on the bill.

This is the best place in Colmar. The food is simply delicious. Here are the best dishes I have eaten in 2023. I planned to propose to my girlfriend at this hotel. The hotel team, which is a really great team, took care of all the details, making it a truly romantic moment. We will definitely return to this hotel throughout our lives to feel full again. Congratulations to the team for their professionalism, for how attentive they are. Congratulations to the kitchen team, they really deserve the Michelin award

The atmosphere is great. All the rest and more specific the food is not the best choice. Our food was extremely salty, even though we told the waiters nothing was done. Very sad considering the price.

Fantastic restaurant. Went here for a Christmas Eve lunch, and was not disappointed! The view of the canal decked for Christmas from the table was beautiful, and the food was just as gorgeous... and delicious! Highly recommend the venison with deep fried ravioli, and the poached pear with chestnut mousse for dessert. We were too early in the day for the Christmas menu, but no regrets. The regular menu is amazing, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Hope to be back someday. Service was also extremely nice and spoke English. Five stars for every aspect!

The hotel features sleek and unique rooms that cater to various tastes, along with a chic restaurant and cocktail bar. Guests can also enjoy a relaxation area with a jacuzzi, sauna, indoor pool, and outdoor terrace with sun loungers.
Very clean hotel, nice location and excellent service. Especially the girl at breakfast, Miss Hayat, very friendly and helpful, as well as all the hotel staff. Importantly, the hotel has a large parking lot next door. I highly recommend it.

Comfortable room and clean. The air conditioning made some random noises throughout the night. Great location and on the bus route into central Colmar but we walked as it was nice and easy. Plenty of parking, nice spacious bathroom with 2 sinks. Room had everything we needed
Jeanette A — Google review
I would have given it more stars if it had advertised itself as a three-star hotel. Room are too small (I am talking about the upgraded version here, so I wonder how even smaller the basic ones are), water pressure in the shower is as low as my mood now writing this review, the desk fits only my elbow and half of my laptop. No gym, no spa. And I could go on.. But to finish on a more positive note, the lady at the reception was nice and helpful, breakfast is good (not impressive but good), and the hotel has a big parking lot. The hotel is located 15 min away from the city center.
Alexandra S — Google review
This was our first night at the hotel. Overall, it has some very good aspects and others that could be improved. The hotel appears clean, although we did notice some cobwebs with spiders in reachable spots that could have been easily removed. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the arrival pleasant. The soundproofing is very good, even though the hotel was moderately busy. The shower has low water pressure, but it compensates with several useful modes. We have not tried the breakfast, as €17 per person seems overpriced. Our room is spacious and very comfortable in terms of size, making the stay pleasant. However, the bed and pillows are too soft and may need replacement. A great advantage is the large free parking area, and the location: only 7 minutes by car from Colmar (about 25 minutes on foot). The hotel is also close to the highway exit, supermarkets, and other services, which makes it very convenient for exploring the area.

We—a family of 5—love this place. The big suites that fit all of us are terrific. The hotel is super nice, staff is courteous and capable. We have come here 5 times in the last three years. We usually only stay the night as it’s our stopover in a long journey through Europe we make every year. But the hotel is conveniently located if you want to go and visit Colmar. The restaurant and the bar are very good too, breakfast is superb, and if you book in advance and in the right days, you get very good value for your money.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay at L’Europe in Colmar, and I would especially like to highlight the amazing team at the breakfast section. Anne Ayat and Sadia were absolutely lovely – always smiling, cheerful, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Their kindness and warm attitude made every morning a real pleasure. It’s not every day that you’re greeted with such genuine hospitality. A big thank you to them both, and to the whole breakfast team, for starting each day on such a positive note. Warm greetings from Portugal!

Really convenient, comfortable hotel just off the A35 north of Colmar. Comfortable well equipped rooms, very good bathrooms with showers. Loads of parking in quiet location. Very good restaurant but the winner factor is the staff, who take a lot of trouble. There's even a swimming pool. Well worth visiting

We stayed for two nights in August and were really pleased with the place. The room was spacious and quiet. The parking was a little tight but there's plenty of parking on the road. We really liked the pool (and the fact that it was open until late was a very good thing!) and we really appreciated the restaurant a lot. Delicious food.

Colmar Hotel is a modern and unfussy three-star hotel located in Colmar, just a 10-minute walk from the train station. It offers streamlined rooms, including three-person guest rooms and interconnecting rooms suitable for families. The hotel provides free parking, making it convenient for guests to explore the old town, which is about a 20-minute walk away. The hotel's location allows easy access to attractions like Petite Venise in Colmar and Quartier des Tanneurs in Strasbourg.
Colmar Hotel left us with wonderful memories! From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel at home. The rooms were cozy, quiet, and just a short walk from the station—perfect for a stress-free trip. The breakfast buffet was generous, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the outdoor lounge with a glass of wine from their excellent local selection. The Easter decorations and cheerful atmosphere gave the hotel a festive charm that made our stay even more memorable. We've traveled across France, but rarely found such genuinely welcoming vibes. The rooms had everything we needed, including a complimentary mini bar and Nespresso machine. There’s hardly anything to critique—perhaps just a redesign of the bath area to prevent water from spilling out. But even that was thoughtfully managed with large foot mats. Highly recommended for a warm, well-run, and restful city stay.

I have stayed at Colmar Hotel multiple times and it is always lovely. The rooms are well equipped and quiet. Location is definitely in walking distance to the historic downtown. Parking on site and super close to the train station. Breakfast is absolutely a gem with a diverse assortment. The staff is very friendly and attentive!!! It is my absolute favourite hotel in colmar.

All the staffs are sooooo friendly!! The rooms are clean with big fluffy clean towels, the breakfast buffet is AMAZING. My family and I enjoyed this hotel so much. Parking underground is inconvenient since the space is small, so I would recommend the ground floor parking space for those with big cars. 추천해요!

What a great hotel in a great destination. The city of Colmar is too beautiful to believe. And the Colmar Hotel is perfect. I could not believe how the wonderful breakfast buffet. All varieties of breads, cheeses, meats, yogurt, gran, fruit juices, delicious coffee. It was worth 30 euros at least. The room is modern with a really nice bath. Outstanding. Good air conditioning. Elevator as well. Three blocks from train station.
Thomas P — Google review
The hotel has an excellent location — just a couple of minutes from the train station and about 10–15 minutes’ walk from the old town, which is very convenient for exploring the city. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere from the very beginning. The hotel itself is cozy, with a beautiful and thoughtfully designed interior. Our room was simply perfect — very clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with every little detail you might need. There were all kinds of amenities: shampoos, creams, manicure sets, shower caps, shoe brushes, combs, and more. The free minibar and coffee machine were a very nice touch. At the reception, guests can always find lemon water and candies — small but very pleasant details that make you feel cared for. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic! They make real coffee of your choice (just like in a restaurant), and it’s included in the price. Freshly squeezed juices are also included, and everything was delicious and of high quality. The breakfast area has a very cozy and relaxing atmosphere. As for small things to improve: it would be great if the hotel didn’t save on toilet paper — for such a high-level place, two-ply feels a bit out of place. Also, the shower had no door, so water splashed all over the bathroom, and the water pressure could be stronger. There was also not much space for storing personal items — both in the bathroom and in the room. However, these are just minor details compared to the overall experience. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. Overall, we were very impressed and absolutely enjoyed our stay. We would definitely love to come back!

I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're sensitive to noise. Not because of the location but because the rooms are said soundproof, they're not. And when I asked for a change, it was denied, which is a first - and I travel in hotels a lot. Other than that, it wasn't that clean. The breakfast was nice and if arrive early enough you can park in front of the hotel.

One on the best B&B hotels we have stayed in. Extremely high standards particularly for the cost of the room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is excellent with proximity to motorway but still in a quiet location. There is a steak house next door that is very good and allows dogs. All in all we will definitely use this again.

At first, I liked the room when I came in, but I was quickly disappointed when I went to the bathroom. The towels had stains, and the bathroom door was very dirty, which means it wasn’t clean. It was quite unpleasant. I think for a 4-star hotel, this is not acceptable. I’m giving three stars only because the young man at the reception helped me quickly and gave me a clean towel. Also, thanks to the friendly staff at breakfast — the food was very tasty, and the breakfast area was clean. If the rooms were cleaned as well as the dining area, I would give five stars.

Rooms are clean but not very cozy. The walls are poorly soundproofed, which means you hear every word of the neighbors. Had to change the room because of that which was instantly granted. Highly recommend staying at Hotel Turenne! We had a great experience! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful with so many traditional Alsatian options! The room was very clean and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the meditation room at the end of our day. I will definitely be staying here again when I return to Colmar!

Standard twin room was small, but everything you needed for a weekend trip. Bathroom was compact but space was well utilized. Overall, a good stay and location cannot be beaten. Just 5 minutes away from the old town, with 2 bakeries nearby for a quick breakfast fix. However, the soundproofing can be better. While we had a room on the lower floor, street-facing, the noise didn’t come from the traffic outside but from the neighbors. You could hear footsteps from upstairs guests and voices from next door and doors slamming. Good thing this was not a problem during the night when people sleep. Also, quality of pillows and towels could be better, quite thin for my preference. When we arrived, one pillow had stains but good thing there were extra pillows available. Also decided to park in Gare Bleyle where it was only 3€ per day, rather than in the private garage in the hotel for 20€ per day. All in all, still a good deal given that we went on a public holiday where the town was quite full.
Bianca P — Google review
We'd been there for just 3 days. The hotel looks to be freshly renewed with a good room finishing but a lot of things weren't working as expected like lights...soap dispenser...access to the wellness only in accompanied... Breakfast was great. A lot of choice, lactose free milk always available and enough space for everybody. Good potential not not up to the mark for a 4**** hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, just a 5-minute walk to the center of Colmar. The room was very spacious, beautifully designed, and spotless – the entire hotel is exceptionally clean, even though pets are allowed. Check-in and check-out were fully automatic and worked perfectly. The bathroom and shower were luxurious and modern, and the room was fully equipped with a fresh, new feel. The reception staff were extremely friendly, and parking is available for those arriving by car. Nearby there’s a complex with a tasty Italian restaurant, and inside the town you’ll find plenty of great dining options. Overall, highly recommended!

Will definitely return 10/10

Great hotel with perfect location. Best buffet breakfast ever with very helpful smiling staff. Polite and helpful reception. just one slight criticism that the cleaning of the bedrooms was rather slow, We had to vacate our room on two occasions late in the afternoon to have the room cleaned and the second time we had to actually request a room clean. Would recomment this hotel

The location was perfect: right by Petite Venise and just a short walk into the heart of Colmar’s old town. The hotel itself was a pleasant surprise: newly renovated, modern, and stylish, with all the conveniences you’d expect from a really good business hotel (and I mean that as a compliment). Everything felt fresh, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Service was excellent as well: professional, attentive, and on point throughout our stay. It was the perfect mix of comfort and convenience, and it made our short stay in Colmar extra enjoyable. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great base in Colmar.

Booked the hotel for one night. Very friendly personell. Also booked a car space in their garage. This is in a private part with a roll shutter so your stuff is safe in there. Small hotel, very friendly staff, really got our visit started with directions and recommendations. Rooms are small, basic but cozy and clean. Quite a walk from the main train station. The rooms are tiny and the walls are thin. Breakfast is deplorable and you are better suited to find something else outside. The service was phenomenal though, the lady and gentleman at the counter were always happy to help and so friendly and helpful. Great terrace especially on warmer days

The hotel was good value for the price. The lady at check-in was very kind and welcoming. The bed was really comfortable, with excellent pillows, and although the room was small, it was quite sweet. The walls are a little thin, and you can practically hear everything, but for 2 nights that was not really a problem for us. The overall the building is not very nice, but you can see they put in a lot of effort to make it welcoming and cute.

A decent place for a day or two in Colmar. Relatively close to the city center and easy to get to with complimentary parking. Rooms are on the small side and the walls are fairly thin, so not the quietest place. The amazing stuff and great breakfast selection make up for it though.
Sascha G — Google review
Great location, great staff, clean with very nice free parking spots. The only downside for me was the bed size - unfortunately, it was a little bit too short for me (I’m 185cm) and also a bit too narrow for 2 people. It would probably be nice if I stayed alone, though.
Alex V — Google review
Not a bad experience - so don't be too put off. But a few things dented our experience: there was a strange sound coming from the toilet in the night, as if the cistern was filling constantly. This disturbed our sleep. Secondly, the water-saving showerhead didn't feel great to use and the fine spray it caused meant the temperature difference between the water near the head (scalding hot) and the temp of the water reaching your torso (lukewarm/cold) was too much. Thirdly, the room was very small and cramped with not much light. That being said, the staff were super friendly and the place was nicely decorated, and bed was very comfy.

Amazing stopover near the motorway. Spotlessly clean, amazing staff, lovely restaurant and food, great bed. Everything you need and more, check out the boil your own egg machine at breakfast!!

To avoid. The room itself was clean enough and simple, small but fair for the price. The horrible experience comes from the staff of the hotel. We've booked (and paid) the room from their website: one room for 2 adults and 4 dogs, and there were no indications about supplements for the dogs. So, a couple of days before our arrival, we sent an email to the hotel asking for confirmation and highlighting the fact that we had 4 dogs with us. At the moment of the check in they told us that we had to pay more for dogs supplements, I replied that we already paid the room online and there were no indication about dogs supplements anywhere and neither they told us in the confirmation emails. The reply of the receptionist was "we didn't read the email right or we would have told you that 4 dogs are not even allowed". Excuse me? My bad for thinking that if you reply to my email you should have at least read it. I understand asking for dogs supplements, but it should be specified in advance and surely it's the staff's duty to read and reply correctly to the customer's email. In which world I have to pay because you didn't do your work correctly? Also half of the staff doesn't even speak English and we better not talk about the dinner, which was the most mediocre buffet I've ever seen. I'm not used to leave bad reviews but I'm also not used to mean and rude staff. Making mistakes is human but at least saying sorry and trying to fix it should be the base of politeness, especially when working with the public. This place is a big no thanks for me.

We have used Campanile hotels and their restaurants several times before. However this is the 2nd one that has had a shockingly bad restaurant. On arrival of this one The restaurant was empty, bad sign. No food available except snack food. Hugely disappointed, we were recommended to the cottage pie and salad. It was awful, I have had better ones frozen from a supermarket. When it arrived it was hot on the outside and freezing cold on the inside. He reheated it and came back dried out. We ordered lemon syrup and water, one each but he forgot to put lemon syrup in one, just plain water. We were not offered bread had to ask for it. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area. I recommend you choose another one, not this one.

very clean, for good price, room with bad, AC, schutters for dark night sleep... well located and handy if you take a dog.
Josien — Google review
A great place to stay - the room is always clean, dinner great and staff delightful
Hester R — Google review
We were satisfied with our stay at Campanile. The staff is very friendly. If you need a place to sleep it's great, but don't expect much more. And the area has its own Statue of Liberty (who needs NYC?). The room is small for 2 people to walk around and have their luggage, and there could be better insulation to avoid bugs from coming in and hiding in small holes.
Natalia D — Google review
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and in my opinion it's an excellent deal! The room was very comfortable and had all the necessities one might need plus thebed was very comfortable! The hotel has a big parking lot which is a plus! I have to point out though that the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbours if they make noises. We also had breakfast at the restaurant for 11€ per person per day. Not bad, but the salty options were very limited( eg. No eggs, just a type of cheese and a couple of ham slices) . Overall very good tho!

I had a very pleasent stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean. The breakfast with a good choice, everything fresh, very nice staff. I can definitelly recommend it

The Hôtel Saint-Martin in Colmar is a classic 3-star hotel located in the historic heart of the city. Dating back to 1361, this charming hotel features unassuming rooms, some with balconies, and a courtyard patio. The vintage furniture and Renaissance-era courtyard have been well-preserved, offering guests a live-in time capsule experience. The rustic charm of the hotel adds authenticity to your visit to Colmar's Christmas markets.
The location is unbeatable, at the heart of the city! All the noteworthy landmarks are less than 5-7 minutes’ walk. The rooms are incredibly spacious (by European standards) & beautifully designed with thoughtful attention to lighting & aesthetics. Surplus of fresh towels, a large bathroom with helpful nooks for storing toiletries until one’s trip ends, there are many attentive touches throughout the property, in their facilities. I highly recommend this hotel!
Deepika N — Google review
I love this place! The staff were all amazingly friendly and happy to speak in English or French. The location is unbeatable in Colmar, walking distance to everything. Parking was a little annoying, but a 5 minute walk to Sainte-Josse wasn’t really a big deal; and very cheap at €3/day. The bed was a bit cramped for 2 people (it seemed like a full or double by American standards) but wouldn’t be a problem for others. All in all the location and customer service make it an easy 5 stars.

A great location in Colmar - in the heart of the old town surrounded by great restaurants and walking distance to all old town has to offer. The rooms are average in size and decor but functional enough for an historic property. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful when I encountered a problem with a noxious odor in my room coming from the shower drain. Unfortunately they could not fix the problem the first night which to me was unacceptable as they were able to resolve it the next day after I slept through the smell. More attention to this issue should have been made or change my room as originally requested. It definitely set a negative tone for the rest of our stay.
Jill F — Google review
Great location! Charming hotel. Good service. Showers are tiny. You won’t be able to shower if your size is XL and up.
Olha M — Google review
Room 22 was the worst. The room had a thermostat controlled heater and air conditioner that did not work at all, it just pushed a meager amount of air through it. So they had a separate portable air conditioner in the room, but it required the window to be wide open to vent the air, which didn't work at all. The room was like 25 degrees all day until it cooled down at night outside. I had to keep the window open for the AC to work at all, and stuffed blankets in around it to keep the warm air from coming back in. However, it was loud because the window was open. Plus you had to climb another flight up a narrow stair to get to that room and there was a bright fluorescent light on all night to illuminate the stair in case of a fire. The room was not very clean and the soap/shampoo was empty. Plus there's no shower, and the tub has a VERY low ceiling above it which meant squatting in the tub to wash. Needless to say that did not go well. I asked for another room, but none were available. It was dismal.

Hotel Saint Martin in Colmar is a charming and beautiful 3-star establishment that feels like stepping back in time to the 1300s. Originally built as a private residence, it exudes historic charm and authenticity, perfectly complementing the fairy-tale ambiance of Colmar. The town itself is a well-preserved masterpiece of French-German Hansel and Gretel architecture, making it a delightful destination. Located right in the heart of this enchanting town, Hotel Saint Martin offers a cozy, captivating experience immersed in history and fairy-tale elegance.
Tricia J — Google review
Staff was nice, location was superb, but the hotel need some renovating. We couldn't close the door to the toilet. But overall we where happy.
Anders P — Google review
First the location is RIGHT in the center of everything. Very easy to shop and explore from here. Second, despite being in the heart of the festivities, it was VERY quiet in the room. Third the staff were all amazing, very accommodating, multi lingual, offering to assist with care and a smile. We know it's not easy during the busiest times but they were so appreciated! Thank you to them! The rooms were warm and quaint. Beds comfortable. WiFi was spotty because of the solid construction of the hotel but in the lobby area, all was fine. Definitely not a fault of the hotel, just how technology is with thick solid walls. We opted for the breakfast, the staff again were efficient and made for a great start to the day. Food choices were a bit limited but covered the essentials (coffee, FRESH made croissants, yogurt, fruit, meat and cheese). We really liked our stay and would recommend the Hotel Saint Martin Colmar!

Love the warm and hospitality of the front desk staff. Speaks excellent English and explain everything in detail. About 400m to 500m walk to Colmar centre and train station. Common facilties is great and well maintained. Self service baggage storage area to store you lugguges before check-in time or after checking out.

Beautiful little hotel, really nicely decorated and very comfortable. The staff are lovely, the showers are excellent and I would probably stay here again. The only complaints I have are that the beds become too warm to comfortably sleep in (thick blankets) and the coffee they serve at breakfast is terrible. Easily adjusted for if you know in advance, and the location makes up for those small niggles.
Conor M — Google review
Cute, great location. Staff a bit aggressive, they should be more pleasant and kind! Too expensive for the room kind, size, refinements and services (payed more than 250€ per night) —> 3 stars hotel 10min away from the city center should cost not more than 100/150€ tops per night
Danilo L — Google review
Paul & Pia Hotel in Colmar delights with modern, functional rooms, friendly staff, and a relaxed atmosphere. Its central location and thoughtful amenities make it an excellent, comfortable choice.
TP — Google review
This is a very cute hotel, very well situated to the train station, and not far from the old center. When you walk in, you’re immediately struck by all the colors of the lobby and social areas. The staff of the desk are very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel does have a very functional economy vibe, but not a big deal. Though the room is a bit small, it’s comfortable enough. It’s an inviting room, and clearly well maintained. Again, this room is very colorful, but it is very also functional and economy feeling; the furniture all seems to be IKEA stuff. In the end, not a huge problem. The one oddity that stood out was the glass shower that is in the room, which could be very offputting to people. We didn’t mind it too much, but not everybody wants to shower in front of the other person they’re sharing the room with. There is no real bathroom to speak of. The shower is encased in glass, and then the sink is outside that, basically across from the bed. There is, however, the water closet with the toilet, which is standard for France. There is a small desk area to use, and there is a safe in the room. However, if you want coffee or tea, you have to go downstairs to the kitchen area, which is part of the lobby area. That’s a little bit inconvenient, but not horrible. There wasn’t any kind of wardrobe or anything to put clothes away, just pegs for hanging stuff, or the bench below for suitcases. One really great thing about this hotel, though, is that they have small prepared meals in a refrigerator that you can help yourself to, and then pay for at the desk, and then heat up in the microwave if you want. I tried a couple of them, and they were very tasty. That’s a wonderful thing to have if you’re feeling hungry later at night, or you’ve come back to the hotel for a rest, and realize you’re feeling a bit hungry. They even have one or two vegetarian options. One minus was the TV. Again, the TV seems to be an issue in many French hotels. This TV did have a Netflix app, but it kept saying there was no Internet connection when trying to open it, which was weird. That said, the hotel‘s Wi-Fi was very good. It’s more or less public Wi-Fi; the hotel doesn’t seem to have its own private network. But, it was very strong, and never seemed to have connection issues. All in all, I would certainly consider coming back to this hotel.
Josh M — Google review
Very comfortable and nice breakfast selection. Would have liked coffee and kettle in the room and for TV to have English as an option.
Jordan M — Google review
Overall, we really liked the hotel. Great location for one as we came by train and the station is just a few hundred meters away. Also within easy walking distance of the old town and city center. The bed was comfortable and we liked that they had initiatives to be more sustainable. Room and bathroom are small. We were on a three-week trip and struggled to put everything into the room. There is also a lack of sockets to charge appliances. The breakfast was solid and good. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Falco C — Google review
The last two nights we stayed at Paul&Pia. We booked your Hotel because on the photos everything looked very pretty. After our stay we left with a different impression. The toilet was dirty on the inside. The towels had holes and were extremely worn out and the edges were torn. The shower cabin had mold on the silicon joints. The fan in the bathroom didn't work anymore. Under the bed was lots of dust. The sink was blocked so that the water stayed in the sink. We had to lift the plug ourselves to unplug it. The breakfast buffet was extremely basic. The coffee was not good at all. Now looking at the price we paid for two nights, which was around 350 Euros I must say that your hotel is far too overpriced for what you get. This was a rip off. I'm very disappointed and I must say that the points mentioned above are just basics that need to be looked after. The staff was friendly. Nevertheless I will not book again at Paul&Pia.
